- 0:26Speaker 1: sell out there and put it onto the website in
- 0:29Speaker 1: case you missed something. And, um, yeah, love you guys, baby.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Thank you. Today's guest is a comedian and an actor
- 0:38Speaker 1: out of Staten Island, New York. Um, he was, he was,
- 0:43Speaker 1: he was once a young King and now he's a
- 0:46Speaker 1: medium King. He's about to take on a world tour
- 0:50Speaker 1: and some select cities. Um, You know, this is the
- 0:53Speaker 1: first time we've sat this long and gotten to really talk.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I'm very fortunate for his time. He's an exceptional young man.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Today's guest is Mr. Pete Davidson. Hello.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Hello.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Thanks for coming by, dude.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Dude, thank you for fucking having me.
- 1:24Speaker 1: It was awesome. Oh, yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I only watch you and I listen to this podcast.
- 1:30Speaker 1: What are you talking about.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Joel Osteen?
- 1:33Speaker 2: No, I listen to your podcast and I listen to
- 1:37Speaker 2: this podcast called How Did This Get Made where they
- 1:39Speaker 2: just kind of talk about movies.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. People. Wait, wait. I know who's showing. That's
- 1:43Speaker 1: not Doug.
- 1:45Speaker 3: It's Manzoukas and Paul Scheer.
- 1:48Speaker 2: They just talk about movies that were ridiculous and then
- 1:51Speaker 2: just the math of.
- 1:53Speaker 3: How they got made.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Paul Scheer is so cool.
- 1:55Speaker 3: He is really cool. He's a good guy.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Is he? Yeah.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I've never known him that much except just seeing him
- 2:01Speaker 1: in movies and TV.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Manzoukas is maybe, pound for pound, one of the fucking
- 2:05Speaker 2: funniest human beings. Really?
- 2:07Speaker 3: It's amazing.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Manzoukas, huh? Let me get a gander at him. Oh,
- 2:12Speaker 1: he's all the ethnicities, huh? He's a fucking Gaza Strip
- 2:14Speaker 1: of a man. Dear God, I'd be afraid to open
- 2:18Speaker 1: my car door if I were him. And I wouldn't
- 2:20Speaker 1: even know which way it was coming from.
- 2:21Speaker 2: He's one of those guys that's looked like that forever,
- 2:24Speaker 2: and now he's the appropriate age to look like that.
- 2:27Speaker 3: But he'll also still look like that forever. You know
- 2:29Speaker 3: what I mean?
- 2:30Speaker 1: He looks like somebody off that Muslim version of Guess Who.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Remember that game? You know what I'm saying? And no offense, Mr. Manzoukas,
- 2:38Speaker 1: if you're as funny as he says you are, you're
- 2:39Speaker 1: okay with some of this. They should have a Muslim
- 2:42Speaker 1: version of Guess Who. Yeah. Dude, they have an Asian version.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It's just all the same guy on there.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Do they really?
- 2:50Speaker 3: Do they have one for every country?
- 2:51Speaker 1: I'm sure they do. It's fucking the way they do
- 2:54Speaker 1: it now.
- 2:55Speaker 2: That's what I like about it is you learn a
- 2:56Speaker 2: little bit.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Well, they have a guess who too
- 3:00Speaker 1: for like twinks. I know there's one. It's like one
- 3:01Speaker 1: of these guys doesn't mind meeting other guys or whatever.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. This is crazy. Dude, you're going on your
- 3:10Speaker 1: first international tour. Is that cool? Pete Davidson, good to
- 3:12Speaker 1: see you today, man.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Thanks for having me, bro.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks, dude.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I'm stoked. I've never been anywhere unless it was for
- 3:21Speaker 3: like work.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Right.
- 3:22Speaker 2: But I've always wanted to try. It's just like I
- 3:25Speaker 2: can't believe that anybody would come see me over there.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Yeah. You almost need to go there to believe that. Yeah.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I'm kind of like dumb where I'm like, no one
- 3:32Speaker 3: knows me in, you know, Australia.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I've never been there before.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I don't have friends there.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 3: But I'm excited.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Are you taking anybody with you? Is it only you? What's?
- 3:43Speaker 2: Uh, it's me and my, uh, friend, Joey Gay, who, uh,
- 3:47Speaker 2: does shows, been doing shows with me since, uh, I'm.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Like 18, so.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Oh, nice. Bring him up. Let me get a picture
- 3:51Speaker 1: of Joey Gay.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Oh, Joey Gay's fucking hilarious, dude.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I may have met him, but I can't remember.
- 3:56Speaker 2: He's been around forever. He's just one of those dudes
- 3:58Speaker 2: that just always destroys.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Oh, there he is.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Yeah. He's also been my friend's, you know, since the
- 4:04Speaker 2: before time. Oh, I know him.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a monster, dude. He's fucking great.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I know him. He looks like a little bit like Kristen.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Almost like Chris DiStefano and Charlemagne had a kid a
- 4:13Speaker 1: little bit.
- 4:14Speaker 3: In that picture. No, he's a real good dude.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Oh, that's great. Yeah. Where are you guys headed to?
- 4:19Speaker 1: I know you're headed to Perth, I saw.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Perth, Sydney.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Another one. Maybe Melbourne?
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I could be wrong. I have no idea. You know
- 4:30Speaker 3: when you get a tour schedule and.
- 4:31Speaker 2: You're super intimidated and you just go day by day?
- 4:35Speaker 3: But I know we're doing it. Oh, here they are.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Singapore, whoa. Yeah. And what's causing all that? There's a
- 4:41Speaker 1: lot of good street food there.
- 4:43Speaker 3: That was just Burke. I don't know if.
- 4:45Speaker 1: We have the same agent.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yeah, we have the same agent. So, you know, he'll
- 4:48Speaker 3: be like, yeah, you know, you can fit this one
- 4:49Speaker 3: in there. You know, it's on the way. There's a
- 4:51Speaker 3: layover over there.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Why don't you parachute into the Azores? I got a
- 4:55Speaker 1: hostage facility outside of Guantanamo. I'll sell 200 tickets in
- 4:59Speaker 1: right now. They owe me. They owe me.
- 5:01Speaker 3: All right, whatever. Yeah, they always do owe him.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I got it. Dude, that's going to be great. And
- 5:12Speaker 1: you're going to Riyadh. So how do you guys feel
- 5:15Speaker 1: about this Saudi Arabian Comedy Festival? There's been a lot
- 5:17Speaker 1: of like talk about this recently. Are they limiting what
- 5:21Speaker 1: you guys can say? Have you heard anything about it yet?
- 5:23Speaker 2: That one I haven't heard much about. Singapore, I had
- 5:27Speaker 2: like a laundry list of stuff. It was pretty much
- 5:30Speaker 2: my whole act. So I don't know. I don't know
- 5:34Speaker 2: what to do. I'm like Googling old sets from when
- 5:37Speaker 2: I was like 20 and just going to do the classics.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Dude, do some of Jim Gaffigan's bits. That's what I
- 5:42Speaker 1: do if I'm in a tough spot.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I mean, or just do Nate's stuff. Just very evergreen,
- 5:47Speaker 2: clean stuff. Have you ever had that problem?
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah, dude.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I have it a lot. I mean, I have a
- 5:52Speaker 1: lot where it's like you have to sift back through.
- 5:55Speaker 2: One of them was like you could talk about sex,
- 5:57Speaker 2: but not like in a dirty way. Right.
- 6:01Speaker 3: And I'm like, what the fuck does that mean?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah. So I guess let's, let's try to have a
- 6:06Speaker 1: conversation about sex, but not in a dirty way. Oh man.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I had some, I was, I had some sex recently.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:13Speaker 3: How'd it go?
- 6:14Speaker 1: Well, I thought it went pretty good. You know, I
- 6:17Speaker 1: was on a full stomach. So did you both blast?
- 6:22Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I need to leave this conversation. This isn't Singapore approved,
- 6:27Speaker 1: I think. And they'll beat you with that stick over there.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Remember they killed that honky over there like 25 years ago.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Remember that guy? Christopher Reeves or whatever. Who was that guy?
- 6:38Speaker 3: They killed Christopher Reeves in Singapore?
- 6:41Speaker 1: I think. Or maybe it's not him. Who was it?
- 6:44Speaker 1: This is a huge thing when I was a child.
- 6:46Speaker 1: They beat this guy for doing something over there. What
- 6:49Speaker 1: was he doing?
- 6:50Speaker 2: Oh, this guy.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Michael Fay. There he was.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Oh, man.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Tina Fey's brother. This is why she had to win.
- 6:57Speaker 1: She didn't have a choice. The person was famously caned
- 7:00Speaker 1: in Singapore as Michael Fay, an American teenager in 1994.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Faye was sentenced by a Singaporean court to six strokes
- 7:06Speaker 1: of the cane and four months in jail for acts
- 7:08Speaker 1: of vandalism, specifically for spray painting and damaging cars.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Oh, he didn't do anything.
- 7:13Speaker 1: As well as stealing road signs, yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I mean, that's fine.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Oh, that's just a little bit of Newsome foreplay right there.
- 7:20Speaker 1: That's nothing, dude.
- 7:21Speaker 3: That's sad.
- 7:22Speaker 2: It's sad in general, but just for spray painting cars
- 7:26Speaker 2: and stealing road signs. I feel like they should just
- 7:29Speaker 2: cut your hand off or something.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Well, I think this guy's pretty lucky, dude. Some places,
- 7:33Speaker 1: I guess, they still have a lot of that. But, no,
- 7:35Speaker 1: what I've heard, dude, is that that Riyadh festival, is
- 7:38Speaker 1: that they're like, you know, there's a lot of people
- 7:40Speaker 1: that say people are getting paid by this Middle Eastern money. Right.
- 7:43Speaker 1: You know, and that they can say this or they
- 7:45Speaker 1: can't say that or that they're over there. They're going
- 7:47Speaker 1: to try to influence you guys in order to speak
- 7:50Speaker 1: certain ways. Are you part of that conspiracy theory or
- 7:53Speaker 1: is that nothing you're on?
- 7:54Speaker 2: I've heard there's subreddits of, like, I think all these
- 7:58Speaker 2: people were in bed with that. I just, you know,
- 8:02Speaker 2: I get the routing and then I see the number
- 8:04Speaker 2: and I go, I'll go.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:07Speaker 3: You know? And also, you.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Know, I, there's, there's part of me that's just like,
- 8:13Speaker 2: you know, I've been getting a little bit of a
- 8:15Speaker 2: flack just cause like my dad died nine 11. So they're,
- 8:18Speaker 2: they're like, how could you possibly go there?
- 8:20Speaker 1: So your dad died during nine 11. He died in
- 8:23Speaker 1: one of the buildings.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a fireman. They were actually the first
- 8:27Speaker 2: truck there.
- 8:28Speaker 3: There's like this very.
- 8:29Speaker 2: This is how shitty my luck is.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Also, not to make this all about myself, but.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Well, it's an interview of you, so if you do,
- 8:37Speaker 1: it's okay.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I'm at 9-11, but yeah. It's all about me. There's
- 8:42Speaker 2: a very famous shot that you see every 9-11 besides
- 8:46Speaker 2: the obvious ones, but they were the first truck over
- 8:49Speaker 2: the bridge to the- So the 9-11?
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yeah, so the front page is just.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Like, Pete's dad! And like, oh.
- 8:56Speaker 1: He's waving out the window.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like that. So yeah, they were the first
- 9:01Speaker 2: truck over there, and pretty much the whole house died.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Oh.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Which is sad, but also at least he died with
- 9:08Speaker 3: his pals. You know, it's kind of.
- 9:10Speaker 1: They all went as a group, huh? That's his truck.
- 9:12Speaker 3: No, that's the picture. You see the truck on the bridge?
- 9:14Speaker 2: Oh.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. My dad's in there, dude. I wonder.
- 9:18Speaker 1: That's something Shane Gillis would say, dude.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Pretty gay, dude.
- 9:24Speaker 3: He's in there.
- 9:24Speaker 2: It's pretty gay.
- 9:25Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Yeah, my Down syndrome brother's in there. Yeah, I feel
- 9:31Speaker 1: like that's what Shane would say the whole time. That's
- 9:33Speaker 1: your dad right there?
- 9:34Speaker 3: That's my pops, dude.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Dude, you're Mexican? You're Latino?
- 9:38Speaker 3: No, no, all white and Jewish and Irish.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 9:41Speaker 3: And a little Italian.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but I feel like our family looks mixed, but
- 9:44Speaker 2: we're not.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Well, it's crazy that he died in 9-11 and also
- 9:48Speaker 1: part of him is accused of doing it. Yes. So
- 9:53Speaker 1: I think that's where you're like the, you're the fucking,
- 9:56Speaker 1: uh you're the bermuda triangle of 9-11.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Well it is a little weird that they were the
- 10:01Speaker 2: first truck there that is true it's almost like he
- 10:03Speaker 2: was too ready to go yeah it's.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Old irish hello huh yeah that's the irish part i
- 10:08Speaker 1: think oh man he's a handsome guy what was he
- 10:12Speaker 1: like He was fucking hilarious, man.
- 10:15Speaker 2: My memories are few and far between because I was seven,
- 10:18Speaker 2: but I just remember laughing a lot, him being pretty jacked,
- 10:22Speaker 2: and smoking a lot of cigarettes and driving a Subaru Impreza.
- 10:26Speaker 3: That's all I remember.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Always had a big smile on his face, but my
- 10:30Speaker 2: favorite thing is, I don't know if you have, I'm
- 10:32Speaker 2: sure you do, people come to your shows and they're like,
- 10:35Speaker 2: I knew your dad or I know your cousin or whatever.
- 10:39Speaker 2: A lot of people lie to me about that just
- 10:42Speaker 2: to come backstage because they know I can't be like,
- 10:46Speaker 2: you know, sure or whatever.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I don't want to hear about it. Of course you
- 10:49Speaker 1: want to hear a story about your dad.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Of course.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I could always tell who is telling the truth because
- 10:54Speaker 2: the second they start talking, they have this big smile
- 10:56Speaker 2: and their eyes kind of light up. And they call
- 11:00Speaker 2: him Scotty. which is what his friends called him. So
- 11:02Speaker 2: I always could tell. And everything I hear is always
- 11:05Speaker 2: really sweet. I'm sure they like keep the horrible things away. Yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 2: Scotty met him at Jets.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:10Speaker 2: He did.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Did he?
- 11:11Speaker 3: He's a big Jets fan.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Oh. Yeah.
- 11:13Speaker 3: But you lost your pops. You were young too, right?
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I was 16. My dad died. He was just
- 11:18Speaker 1: older though. But I think like, yeah, just, yeah, I mean,
- 11:24Speaker 1: losing your dad when you're a kid is kind of tough.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I think it's, obviously it's tough. I think it's, It
- 11:29Speaker 1: is funny, as you get older, you want to know
- 11:31Speaker 1: the different stuff about him, you know?
- 11:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Like, was he a pervert or whatever?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Yeah, what did he like?
- 11:35Speaker 1: Because it's still more information, you know? Like, did he
- 11:37Speaker 1: sleep in his car or whatever, you know? Like, what
- 11:39Speaker 1: did he do, you know, for fun?
- 11:41Speaker 2: I think it's worse at your age, though, because you
- 11:43Speaker 2: could fully understand the scope of what happened. And you're
- 11:46Speaker 2: at such a pivotal age in your life where you're
- 11:49Speaker 2: growing and becoming a man. I was really young, so
- 11:52Speaker 2: I didn't even really know what the fuck happened. And
- 11:54Speaker 2: it hit me later.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Like, when I was in college, I was like, oh,
- 11:56Speaker 3: I'm pretty angry about this.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Like, it'll show up more and more as I get
- 12:02Speaker 2: older because you understand, like, that's really sad to happen
- 12:05Speaker 2: to a kid. But I feel like your age, and
- 12:08Speaker 2: forgive me if I'm wrong, but, like, that's, like, that's, like, visceral.
- 12:11Speaker 2: That's some tough shit.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I think, you know, my dad was so old.
- 12:15Speaker 1: My dad was born in 1910. He was an old man. What?
- 12:19Speaker 1: He was 70 when I was born, so he was
- 12:21Speaker 1: 86 at that time, right?
- 12:22Speaker 3: Holy shit.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So it wasn't like I had, like, this, you know.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Dad that had this energy and you know i had
- 12:30Speaker 1: this kind of dad that was like a sleeping in
- 12:32Speaker 1: the distance a lot or like you know all inadvertently
- 12:36Speaker 1: causing shit to have like falling asleep in the carpool
- 12:39Speaker 1: he'd come pick me up and he'd fucking doze off
- 12:41Speaker 1: out there you know and uh and he my dad
- 12:45Speaker 1: had this he was always buying cars off these brothers
- 12:47Speaker 1: that lived around the corner right and so he had
- 12:50Speaker 1: one time he had this cutlass that had some 22s
- 12:52Speaker 1: in the trunk some fucking bangers in that bitch And
- 12:56Speaker 1: he would just listen to like Rush Limbaugh and shit
- 12:58Speaker 1: like on with bass.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Cranked up.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Oh, bro.
- 13:03Speaker 1: And like Paul Harvey and just like these old commentators.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And he would fucking just doze off in his car.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And whenever he dozed off, he was old. His eyes
- 13:15Speaker 1: would like leak and they were just like water would
- 13:17Speaker 1: kind of pour out of him because you're getting old.
- 13:19Speaker 1: You know, your gaskets get bad. And so he was
- 13:21Speaker 1: just fucking just shedding water weight. And I was just
- 13:25Speaker 1: fucking like, what is going on?
- 13:27Speaker 2: So you were a little prepared.
- 13:29Speaker 3: You were a little prepared.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I was prepared that things weren't going to go well.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Right.
- 13:33Speaker 1: So my dad kind of was like a driving 911.
- 13:35Speaker 1: He like kind of pulls up in his own little,
- 13:40Speaker 1: like I would have been awesome if that, we got
- 13:42Speaker 1: to put my dad's car behind that fire truck.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Superimpose your dad's car in there.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Yeah. He was always a nine 11 dude. Every time
- 13:50Speaker 1: he came in and it's something you'd have to get
- 13:52Speaker 1: his fucking Carter's didn't work. Get a climb in the
- 13:53Speaker 1: fucking wind. Everything was a fucking nightmare with him. And
- 13:57Speaker 1: the teachers would always look at you like, don't get
- 13:59Speaker 1: in there with your dad. Yeah. But that's your parent
- 14:01Speaker 1: picking you up. Like, but then there's little things like,
- 14:05Speaker 1: did you have some nice mementos of his?
- 14:07Speaker 3: Uh, I have actually, I have his, uh, his wedding ring.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Uh, I wear all the time and I have, uh, his, um,
- 14:14Speaker 2: It's actually super fucked up, but I have his badge,
- 14:17Speaker 2: like his chain, his badge. And they found that's how they,
- 14:21Speaker 2: you know, because everybody's pretty burnt up. So that's how
- 14:24Speaker 2: they knew it was him. And I have it and
- 14:27Speaker 2: I just keep it in a safe because like with
- 14:29Speaker 2: my luck, I'll lose that shit. But I have like
- 14:31Speaker 2: a couple of those things and I have his fire,
- 14:35Speaker 2: his like jacket and like other set of pants. And
- 14:38Speaker 2: I put them like on the wall. I like framed them.
- 14:41Speaker 2: But then I took them down, though, because sometimes I'll
- 14:43Speaker 2: be feeling good, and then I'll see that, and I'll
- 14:45Speaker 2: be like, oh.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:46Speaker 2: You know, it's like a weird thing, I remember. My
- 14:50Speaker 2: mom has, it's like everywhere you look, it's like, you know,
- 14:54Speaker 2: my dad, like, and it's fucking, it's kind of.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Putting on a condom?
- 14:58Speaker 3: Hey, that's a lot.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Sorry, that's crazy. I was just trying to make you laugh.
- 15:03Speaker 2: No, it did make me laugh. But it's kind of haunting,
- 15:06Speaker 2: where you're just like, I would like the option, like,
- 15:08Speaker 2: if I want to go down memory lane, I can,
- 15:11Speaker 2: but have your dad staring at you everywhere.
- 15:13Speaker 1: You don't want memory lane just hanging out on the
- 15:15Speaker 1: wall being like, hey, do a lap.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Do you have any stuff for your dad? Do you
- 15:21Speaker 3: have the speakers?
- 15:22Speaker 1: No, what do we have? I have his passport for
- 15:26Speaker 1: whenever he moved to the US.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Where's he from?
- 15:29Speaker 1: He's from Nicaragua. He came down here when I think
- 15:32Speaker 1: he was like, let me see, I guess he was
- 15:34Speaker 1: 12 or whatever.
- 15:37Speaker 3: That's wild.
- 15:38Speaker 1: It was pretty wild.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I don't know anyone from there. That's crazy.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I don't know either. I don't know.
- 15:41Speaker 2: It's like a real place.
- 15:43Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like a place you live on MySpace when
- 15:45Speaker 2: you're in high school.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Oh, Nicaragua? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Yeah, or Schenectady, New York.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Kalamazoo, Michigan. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dude, I remember
- 15:51Speaker 1: when I saw Kalamazoo in the airport one time. People
- 15:53Speaker 1: were going there one day. I couldn't even fucking believe it.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I thought they were like traveling into a damn Dr.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Seuss novel or something. I was like, tell Cindy Lou who?
- 16:01Speaker 1: I said, what's up, huh? How old is she? You
- 16:05Speaker 1: feel me? BLM, dude. But yeah, I think as you
- 16:10Speaker 1: get older, stuff like that's interesting. Were you able to
- 16:12Speaker 1: find pieces of fatherhood in other men as you got older?
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's inadvertently what I was doing. I
- 16:20Speaker 2: wasn't very conscious, like, I need to find me a dad. Yeah.
- 16:25Speaker 2: But as I look back, that was what was cool
- 16:28Speaker 2: about getting into comedy. I was 16, so everyone, the
- 16:32Speaker 2: youngest people, a comedian friend I had was like, I
- 16:36Speaker 2: don't know, 29, 30.
- 16:37Speaker 3: It was like Che, DeStefano. Oh, that's great.
- 16:40Speaker 2: You know, all those guys, Giannis, Nate, um, Soder. And like,
- 16:45Speaker 2: it was all dudes that were older than me that like,
- 16:47Speaker 2: you know, obviously there's not, there wasn't a lot of
- 16:50Speaker 2: other younger dudes, but I really, I've really looked up
- 16:53Speaker 2: to them. And like, I just see Joey, I do
- 16:55Speaker 2: shows with Joey all the time. He's like in his fifties.
- 16:57Speaker 2: So most of my friends I find are like, you know,
- 17:00Speaker 2: 40 and up. Cause I think that makes me feel, uh,
- 17:04Speaker 2: safe and also just like there's this for some form
- 17:08Speaker 2: of like big brother sort of thing and.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Yeah somebody looking out for you but also when you.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Go through a tragedy that young like your brain is
- 17:16Speaker 2: older like i always felt like um i was older
- 17:21Speaker 2: um like in school where like when that happened you
- 17:24Speaker 2: know kids would be like you want to like have
- 17:26Speaker 2: a pool party i'm like no like I want to
- 17:30Speaker 2: smoke cigarettes and cry. Like, I mean, it's, it's like,
- 17:34Speaker 2: it's not that, that like innocence is kind of taken
- 17:37Speaker 2: away really fast. And that's why I got into standup.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I would watch, you know, burn Chappelle and, um, you know,
- 17:45Speaker 2: Rodney's my favorite. So I think that's why I like
- 17:48Speaker 2: veered towards laughing a lot.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Yeah. I'm just sad, dude.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Like, I feel like most of us are pretty, were
- 17:54Speaker 1: you as pretty sad, dude, you think?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I think there's, You always get pigeonholed as this not
- 18:00Speaker 1: sad dude, I think.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm like, what the fuck, guys? I'm like, everybody's
- 18:05Speaker 2: always like, oh, that guy just, and that's where some
- 18:07Speaker 2: of the hatred comes. He just, I don't give a
- 18:09Speaker 2: fuck attitude. I'm like, no, I'm miserable. I want to
- 18:13Speaker 2: be that dude, too. All the dude you guys are
- 18:16Speaker 2: talking about, I want to be him. I don't even
- 18:18Speaker 2: know that guy. I look at pictures, I'm like, who
- 18:20Speaker 2: is this guy that everybody's talking about? You know, like,
- 18:24Speaker 2: it's not me. Um, But yeah, I grew up super
- 18:28Speaker 2: duper sad. My mom shows pictures. You can always tell
- 18:33Speaker 2: what pictures of me when I'm little before and after
- 18:36Speaker 2: my dad passed because the eyes are different.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Like the eyes are just like sad.
- 18:43Speaker 1: The eyes have it. That's what they say.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Damn.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I feel like people think you must be like the
- 18:48Speaker 2: happiest silly dude ever, but I.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Feel like you have some layers.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, dude. I'd like to be in a wheelchair
- 18:55Speaker 1: a lot of times.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Just because?
- 18:57Speaker 1: Just to fucking show them. I'll show them. That's my attitude.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Show other dudes in wheelchairs?
- 19:03Speaker 1: I'll fucking take that bitch right out into a fucking interstate.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I'll show them. Hit me. I'll go to heaven right now, motherfucker.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Do you ever play truth or not truth or dare,
- 19:12Speaker 2: but kind of rush roulette with yourself where you're like,
- 19:14Speaker 2: if I die this way, I'm supposed to?
- 19:16Speaker 1: Ooh, let me think about that.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Like where I got a motorcycle for a little bit.
- 19:21Speaker 2: You did?
- 19:22Speaker 3: Just for a bit.
- 19:22Speaker 2: And then I got into an accident.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Why just for a bit?
- 19:26Speaker 2: So it was kind.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Of like a, if I go this way, like I
- 19:30Speaker 3: was young. I was like, I don't give a fuck.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Like I'm rock and roll, dude.
- 19:34Speaker 2: But then I didn't realize like you can get in
- 19:36Speaker 2: a motorcycle accident and it not be your fault.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Like I didn't realize you can get hit by other cars. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:42Speaker 1: You don't think about that.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I don't think about it. You're just like, it's all
- 19:45Speaker 3: in my control.
- 19:45Speaker 2: But some dude clipped me, and then the bike kind
- 19:48Speaker 2: of fell on me.
- 19:49Speaker 3: It was pretty. mid, but I was like, oh, you could.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It was enough.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't want to die by someone else. I
- 19:55Speaker 3: want to do it.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Right. Well, yeah.
- 19:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:57Speaker 3: I want to go out on my shit.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Yeah, motherfucker.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I'll die, bitch. Watch me. You don't think I'll die? Watch.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Dude, I'll say this. I've had a girlfriend before where
- 20:09Speaker 1: I've been like, I knew I should leave her, but
- 20:12Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm not leaving her because she'll find somebody
- 20:14Speaker 1: that actually likes her.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Yep.
- 20:17Speaker 1: That's how fucking much I was miserable, dude.
- 20:20Speaker 3: You ever have.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Sad to even think that shit.
- 20:22Speaker 2: One of my rebuttals to a girl leaving me was like,
- 20:25Speaker 2: you've done so much work. You've done so much work
- 20:28Speaker 2: on me.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Like.
- 20:31Speaker 3: It's like you got me ready for someone else. That's
- 20:34Speaker 3: not fair.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Because now I'm just going to be all this good
- 20:37Speaker 2: with someone else.
- 20:39Speaker 3: You taught me so much.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Yeah, at least show up for the graduation.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Yeah, come on. You put so much work in.
- 20:46Speaker 1: You know I'm back and you know I never left, baby.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Prize picks.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Bing bong.
- 20:51Speaker 1: That's where I'm at. Prize picks is the best place
- 20:54Speaker 1: to win cash while watching sports if you like to
- 20:58Speaker 1: fire on sports. If that's not your thing or you
- 21:00Speaker 1: can't handle it, that ain't for you, King. But football
- 21:04Speaker 1: season is fully underway, and there's no better time to join.
- 21:07Speaker 1: The app is really easy to use. To create a lineup,
- 21:11Speaker 1: all you have to do is pick more or less
- 21:14Speaker 1: on a few players' stats. That's it. PrizePix is in
- 21:19Speaker 1: more than 40 states, including California, Texas, and Georgia. And
- 21:23Speaker 1: with promo code THEO, you can play $ 5 and get
- 21:28Speaker 1: $ 50 in lineups. It's heartbreaking to say it, but with
- 21:31Speaker 1: the Saints playing as tragically as they are and possibly
- 21:35Speaker 1: being sold in a few years in a package deal
- 21:38Speaker 1: with the Pelicans, I am choosing some of the Buffalo
- 21:42Speaker 1: Bills this week for my players. I'm picking more than
- 21:45Speaker 1: two and a half touchdowns for Josh Allen, and I'm
- 21:48Speaker 1: picking more for Keon Coleman. That's where I'm at. Those
- 21:52Speaker 1: are my picks. You can also tail me in the
- 21:55Speaker 1: prize picks at And now you can even follow me
- 21:57Speaker 1: on PrizePix at TheoVon. PrizePix, it's good to be right.
- 22:02Speaker 1: You know, Bitcoin hit an all-time high of $ 124, 000 in August,
- 22:09Speaker 1: which is wild considering that it was trading around $ 60, 000
- 22:13Speaker 1: last year. When I need more Bitcoin, because I'm in,
- 22:18Speaker 1: I'm in. I go to MoonPay. Yep. MoonPay is always
- 22:22Speaker 1: the first app that I open because it doesn't force
- 22:25Speaker 1: you to buy a whole coin, and it's super easy
- 22:29Speaker 1: to use. Now, I do want to say that MoonPay
- 22:31Speaker 1: is one of the biggest partners of our show, which
- 22:34Speaker 1: we're grateful for, and they've also allowed me to accept
- 22:38Speaker 1: my payment from them in Bitcoin. Yep, that's how I'm
- 22:42Speaker 1: doing it, instead of U.S.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Dollars.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I'm planning to hold and save that Bitcoin in my
- 22:48Speaker 1: MoonPay account. The Bitcoin will sit in a digital MoonPay
- 22:53Speaker 1: wallet that nobody can access except for me. Yup.
- 22:59Speaker 2: The U.S.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Dollar continues to fluctuate in value, so by making this decision,
- 23:03Speaker 1: I'm diversifying my portfolio and hopefully earning more from our
- 23:07Speaker 1: partnership than I would have otherwise. Remember, while MoonPay makes
- 23:11Speaker 1: buying crypto straightforward, it's essential to do your own research
- 23:16Speaker 1: and understand the risks involved. Crypto trading can be volatile.
- 23:21Speaker 1: and you could lose your investment. MoonPay is a tool
- 23:23Speaker 1: to facilitate your transactions, not a source of financial advice.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Trade responsibly. Did you ever get that bad off with
- 23:33Speaker 1: like your emotions, or were you always able to have
- 23:34Speaker 1: some awareness, you think?
- 23:36Speaker 2: I'm good now, but I used to dip in that.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I was very like, growing up, I wanted to die
- 23:46Speaker 2: to Be with my dad.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Really?
- 23:48Speaker 3: Very badly. So I tried. This is so fucking embarrassing.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I can't believe I said really when you said that also.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Of course. No, yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 2: But I tried my first time when I was like eight.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I tried to like drag myself. And then my mom like,
- 24:03Speaker 2: this is so dark, but like found me in the
- 24:06Speaker 2: pool seeing what I was trying to do. And then
- 24:07Speaker 2: she took me to like a psych ward. And I
- 24:10Speaker 2: was like eight. So I've struggled with that. And then
- 24:14Speaker 2: I kind of got out of it. when I first started,
- 24:17Speaker 2: I would say right around when I got SNL, because
- 24:23Speaker 2: I didn't have many friends growing up, and it was
- 24:26Speaker 2: my fault, like, I've said this before, where, like, I
- 24:28Speaker 2: was suffering, and I was super weird, and I was, like,
- 24:32Speaker 2: you know, very visibly hurting, but, you know, kids don't
- 24:34Speaker 2: know that that's what you're going through, they just think
- 24:37Speaker 2: you're weird, like, they don't have this scope of did you.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Feel like a lot of like were like thoughts and
- 24:42Speaker 1: stuff were trapped inside of you kind of or what
- 24:44Speaker 1: do you feel like you think.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Yeah it was like on a hamster wheel of just
- 24:47Speaker 2: like i have because i have ocd and uh you
- 24:50Speaker 2: know manic depression so like it's just that's a horrible
- 24:54Speaker 2: combo and then you start doing drugs and it's like
- 24:56Speaker 2: good luck you know you're a I would like revert
- 25:06Speaker 2: to that when I got sad. But then when I
- 25:08Speaker 2: started doing stand-up, I kind of was like, I found
- 25:10Speaker 2: like a group of weird friends and like artists are
- 25:14Speaker 2: cool and they understand like sadness and like a lot
- 25:18Speaker 2: of them are like, you know, not afraid to talk
- 25:21Speaker 2: about that stuff.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 25:23Speaker 2: You know, and I really like, I was like, oh, yeah,
- 25:26Speaker 2: you know. And then there's this weird thing. I don't
- 25:29Speaker 2: know if you've really had this because I know everybody
- 25:31Speaker 2: just fucking loves you. as they should but i had
- 25:34Speaker 2: this thing where like i came out and everyone really
- 25:38Speaker 2: rallied behind me it was like oh this kid they
- 25:40Speaker 2: look what happened when he was a kid and now
- 25:42Speaker 2: he's doing this and that's super cool and it was
- 25:44Speaker 2: like all going up and then it flipped and then
- 25:47Speaker 2: it was like fuck this dude i don't like this
- 25:49Speaker 2: dude he i hate this dude and like we're in
- 25:53Speaker 2: the internet age so i'm reading all that oh yeah
- 25:56Speaker 2: and then it brought me back to like childhood high
- 25:59Speaker 2: school like not fitting in like again.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Low self-worth attaches to all that old shit.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Then that shit started to pop back in and then
- 26:06Speaker 2: that's where i started like doing drugs and then uh
- 26:10Speaker 2: a year and a half ago i was like i
- 26:13Speaker 2: was just like i need to want to i need
- 26:16Speaker 2: to be okay if not all this goes away like
- 26:20Speaker 2: if Like, it can't be for stand-up. It can't be
- 26:23Speaker 2: for this movie. It can't be for this girl. It
- 26:26Speaker 2: can't even be for my family. Like, I have to
- 26:28Speaker 2: want to be okay. Otherwise, all this shit doesn't work.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Fuck, dude. When you say that, it's so scary to me.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Because I don't know if I could ever, like, even
- 26:37Speaker 1: though I feel like I am, if there's a big
- 26:40Speaker 1: part of me, the truth is, I don't know how
- 26:42Speaker 1: I would feel if I didn't have somebody else's feelings
- 26:45Speaker 1: to base it on, you know?
- 26:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Or if I didn't know how somebody else felt about
- 26:50Speaker 1: me to base it on.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Yeah, that's how I live. We're people pleasers.
- 26:55Speaker 1: 100%.
- 26:55Speaker 3: We laugh at me, please.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:57Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 26:58Speaker 2: Like, watch my movie. Like, when I go outside, take
- 27:01Speaker 2: a picture. Like, you know, and then it got.
- 27:03Speaker 1: See me, even if you call me a f *
- 27:04Speaker 1: * * it or whatever, we can bleep that out.
- 27:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Or we can just say that he said it. Yeah.
- 27:09Speaker 1: But anyway, at least that's like.
- 27:12Speaker 2: In the context, that makes sense.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Only if it's during Pride Month and you mistook
- 27:17Speaker 1: me for one of your best buddies.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Yeah, not in like a reg- No, no, no.
- 27:20Speaker 3: You should stand by that.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:25Speaker 2: But yeah, you can't- But that's a hard thing to-
- 27:29Speaker 2: You're undoing, for me, it was like 25 years of
- 27:32Speaker 2: people pleasing and that's why I live. So I had
- 27:34Speaker 2: to learn how to- be okay with this. And like,
- 27:38Speaker 2: also like a year, year and a half ago, like
- 27:42Speaker 2: they were like, it's over.
- 27:43Speaker 3: He's done.
- 27:44Speaker 1: You know, he's a media tab boy, that type of shit.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:47Speaker 2: It was just like, there was like articles that were like,
- 27:49Speaker 2: I smoke crack and live with my mom. And I
- 27:51Speaker 2: was like, I was like, all right, like maybe part
- 27:54Speaker 2: of that is like, not all of that.
- 27:59Speaker 1: It's a two-bedroom.
- 28:00Speaker 2: It sucks when there's four things in the article that
- 28:05Speaker 2: are wrong, but there's more of them. You're like, actually, yeah,
- 28:07Speaker 2: that's fucking kind of true. I'm in rehab alone reading this,
- 28:12Speaker 2: and a lot of my friends, I would say I
- 28:16Speaker 2: still have half of them, but a lot of them,
- 28:18Speaker 2: it got to a point with my use and how
- 28:21Speaker 2: I was behaving where they were just like, I love you,
- 28:23Speaker 2: but this.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Is too much.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 28:26Speaker 2: And when that started happening, it started happening with people
- 28:29Speaker 2: where I was like, well, I don't give a fuck
- 28:30Speaker 2: about you anyway.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Right.
- 28:32Speaker 2: And then it started happening with, like, people I really
- 28:35Speaker 2: cared about. And I was like, oh, shit, like, it's me.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Dang.
- 28:39Speaker 3: You can only go it's everybody else for so long.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:42Speaker 3: And until you're like, okay, I get it. And then,
- 28:45Speaker 3: you know, that was kind of it for me.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Was there a day you kind of turned it in?
- 28:49Speaker 1: You were like, I'm dropping the rock today, you know?
- 28:53Speaker 3: Oh, where I'm, where just like, I need to leave.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Or were you just like, I'm going to go definitely
- 28:57Speaker 1: get some help. Like, or was there like one conversation
- 28:59Speaker 1: that kind of cemented it for you? I guess. Yeah.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Once you start to see like, man, oh, that person
- 29:03Speaker 1: is stepping away from me. God, it must be.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Cause it's weird.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Sometimes you want to make your outside, you want to
- 29:10Speaker 1: make it match kind of how you feel on the inside.
- 29:12Speaker 1: It's like, that's exactly what you to leave me because
- 29:15Speaker 1: I left me so long in my mind, everybody left
- 29:17Speaker 1: me so fucking long ago that I want, I don't,
- 29:21Speaker 1: The fact that you're even still around here fucking makes
- 29:24Speaker 1: me not even respect you in like a sick way. Yeah.
- 29:28Speaker 2: And there's part of you that's probably like for me,
- 29:30Speaker 2: I was like calling bluffs almost where I was just
- 29:32Speaker 2: like I self-sabotage, blow up. Anybody that's ever actually loved
- 29:37Speaker 2: me or cared about me has gotten the worst.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Wrath from me.
- 29:41Speaker 2: You know, it's few and far between, but when it happens,
- 29:43Speaker 2: it's fucked up. And, but this whole, like, fuck you,
- 29:47Speaker 2: leave me like you had, leave me what.
- 29:49Speaker 3: They started to.
- 29:51Speaker 2: And I was like, Oh shit, you're calling my bluff
- 29:53Speaker 2: and I love you and I don't want you to
- 29:54Speaker 2: go away. And then you go into therapy and you're
- 29:56Speaker 2: like fear of abandonment. You have BPD. This is why
- 30:00Speaker 2: from your childhood, you did this and your grandpa did
- 30:03Speaker 2: this and now you're this. So like you got to
- 30:05Speaker 2: do that sort of work. But yeah, it got to
- 30:06Speaker 2: that point where people I really fucking loved. And also
- 30:10Speaker 2: my mom, you know, my mom's the most supportive person
- 30:14Speaker 2: in the world.
- 30:15Speaker 1: She's a cool lady.
- 30:16Speaker 2: The best i mean what's her name amy oh it's
- 30:19Speaker 2: a good name.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Oh never dated she married a fireman yeah she's she's
- 30:24Speaker 1: a nurse like no yeah they met each other in
- 30:26Speaker 1: grammar school like super staten.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Island i want to marry a nurse and my mom
- 30:30Speaker 2: look how cute my mom is she's just a sweet
- 30:32Speaker 2: lady she never dated after my mom after my dad
- 30:34Speaker 2: died just raised me and my sister like alone and
- 30:38Speaker 2: worked hard and she's been the most supportive ever and
- 30:41Speaker 2: it got to a point where she she called me
- 30:43Speaker 2: uh when i was uh When I was in rehab
- 30:46Speaker 2: and she was like, my biggest fear is that I
- 30:48Speaker 2: will turn on the news and see that my son
- 30:51Speaker 2: has died. And she's never been like that, like, you know,
- 30:55Speaker 2: because she's so supportive and just, you know, wants to
- 30:59Speaker 2: always have positivity around.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Yeah. And she already lost something she loved.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Exactly. And that fucking, that killed me.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:06Speaker 3: So, like, I was like, all right, you know. Can't
- 31:08Speaker 3: die until she's dead at least.
- 31:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:09Speaker 1: All right, Amy.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:11Speaker 3: You got it.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Like when that lady says that to you, look at
- 31:14Speaker 2: that lady.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I know.
- 31:15Speaker 2: I mean, how are you going to be like, I
- 31:17Speaker 2: don't have to be a heartless fucking sociopath to not
- 31:19Speaker 2: get my shit together, you know?
- 31:21Speaker 1: You're like, okay, this is what I need.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Oh.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Good lady.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Oh, that's cute, man.
- 31:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:27Speaker 3: I'm a lucky guy in that aspect.
- 31:29Speaker 2: I have a really like supportive, cool family that has
- 31:32Speaker 2: never asked me for anything and they should.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Like they could, and a lot of them need stuff.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Fuck yeah, you bought Colin Jost that shitty boat, dude.
- 31:42Speaker 1: You can't fucking get them some, dear God.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Can you imagine being one of my family members that's
- 31:48Speaker 2: like living check to check? And you read that.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 31:55Speaker 1: That is so true.
- 31:58Speaker 2: But I've offered to help, and they're just like, nah.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Yeah, some people are like that.
- 32:05Speaker 2: And I love that.
- 32:06Speaker 3: That's how I am.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Here's what I start to realize about family. I think
- 32:09Speaker 1: they're joking. I think they're joking.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Like they don't want you to be like, oh, because
- 32:16Speaker 2: I'm always like, all right. But they want you to
- 32:18Speaker 2: be like, no, no, no.
- 32:19Speaker 6: No, no, no.
- 32:20Speaker 2: I got this.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Yeah, dude. I think even just saying that makes me
- 32:24Speaker 1: think I got to help out my family a little
- 32:26Speaker 1: bit more.
- 32:27Speaker 3: That's my Staten Island brother right there.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Hey, there you go. He's from Staten Island too?
- 32:31Speaker 3: Yeah, isn't that crazy? I mean, from a good part, clearly.
- 32:33Speaker 3: We are.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Obviously.
- 32:37Speaker 3: It looks a little different.
- 32:38Speaker 1: A little more island.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Yeah, a little bit.
- 32:40Speaker 1: A little less Staten.
- 32:41Speaker 3: No, he's the best, man. He's a real good fucking dude.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Is he?
- 32:44Speaker 3: Oh, he's the best.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I only met him one time, and I think he
- 32:49Speaker 1: looked so clean, I was just afraid to get to
- 32:51Speaker 1: know him.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Oh, dude, he's awesome. You guys would get along great.
- 32:54Speaker 2: I don't know anyone that doesn't, like, You know, when
- 32:57Speaker 2: you're like intimidated or not intimidated, but you're just like,
- 32:59Speaker 2: I don't think me and that dude will ever vibe.
- 33:01Speaker 2: And then you're like, oh, we love comedy and we're comics.
- 33:04Speaker 2: And like, there's that universal thing. So you guys would
- 33:06Speaker 2: hit it off.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Great.
- 33:07Speaker 2: And it's also fun to hang out with someone that's
- 33:08Speaker 2: like polar opposite in most ways.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Oh, that's pretty cool.
- 33:12Speaker 3: You know, and we're from the same island.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:13Speaker 3: But it's like he golfs, you know, and I'm like,
- 33:16Speaker 3: what the fuck is that?
- 33:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:17Speaker 3: I was like, we have golf clubs in Staten Island.
- 33:19Speaker 3: I was like, I had no idea.
- 33:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:21Speaker 2: So.
- 33:23Speaker 1: And you're out there doing tours of the Gilgo Beach
- 33:25Speaker 1: killer area. So different strokes for different folks.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Even the theaters he does have really nice names. I
- 33:34Speaker 2: look at his tour and I'm like, that sounds nice.
- 33:36Speaker 2: All my shit's like, what the fuck is this?
- 33:39Speaker 3: Memphis.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Oh, it's Berkowitz, dude. Putting you out there fucking. You're
- 33:44Speaker 1: doing an amphitheater out there at the Gilgo Beach. Killer
- 33:48Speaker 1: friggin' section.
- 33:50Speaker 6: God.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Who's this fella?
- 33:51Speaker 1: That's the Gilgamesh.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Oh, gosh.
- 33:54Speaker 1: That's your opener in Singapore. That is, dude. You got
- 34:00Speaker 1: a rebate from the port authority.
- 34:03Speaker 3: On that one.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Rex Herman.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Rex Herman.
- 34:07Speaker 1: That's the dude that was killing all the hookers, man.
- 34:10Speaker 3: That's fucked up.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Yeah. That's not cool.
- 34:14Speaker 1: How long did you stay? I'm trying to think of different...
- 34:17Speaker 1: I probably got to go to a place soon and
- 34:19Speaker 1: just get some away. I think I've just, I just can't,
- 34:21Speaker 1: everything's just been, I can barely kind of keep it
- 34:24Speaker 1: together every week.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Well, you're also one of the most busy people in
- 34:27Speaker 2: the world. I mean, you have like the biggest show
- 34:30Speaker 2: out there and, but I don't know if you had this,
- 34:33Speaker 2: you have this feeling where you're like, well, if I
- 34:36Speaker 2: go away, it'll all stop.
- 34:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:37Speaker 1: I just think it's all, everything will be fall apart
- 34:40Speaker 1: or I don't know.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Or you'll be like alone with your thoughts.
- 34:42Speaker 2: And like, I think when you work a lot, you
- 34:43Speaker 2: don't have time to be like, what am I upset
- 34:46Speaker 2: about in my childhood or, like, whatever? Like, you could
- 34:49Speaker 2: take as much fucking time as you like, and you
- 34:52Speaker 2: deserve it. You deserve a nice little kickback, relax, do
- 34:55Speaker 2: something that, like, makes you happy.
- 34:56Speaker 3: What makes you happy? Like, what do you like to do?
- 34:59Speaker 1: Well, I think some of it's funny that I'll... Thank you, though,
- 35:01Speaker 1: for saying some of that stuff.
- 35:02Speaker 3: No, it's true, bro.
- 35:03Speaker 1: It is true. I think it's hard for me to
- 35:05Speaker 1: get that. It's hard for me to, like, get that
- 35:06Speaker 1: into my system, you know? And then to want to
- 35:09Speaker 1: do it, I think, like, you know, I'm kind of
- 35:10Speaker 1: married to work. Like, I choose to work. Like, sometimes
- 35:13Speaker 1: I think about, like, I had this girlfriend, this really
- 35:15Speaker 1: great girl that I was seeing for years. And I
- 35:17Speaker 1: don't know if we're supposed to stay together or not,
- 35:18Speaker 1: but sometimes when I think about life or certain things,
- 35:21Speaker 1: she's kind of the one that I miss. It doesn't
- 35:23Speaker 1: mean we're supposed to stay together, but there was still
- 35:25Speaker 1: like a good enough connection that was very real that
- 35:29Speaker 1: it was like, man, that's her affection is what I miss, right?
- 35:33Speaker 1: And caring about her is kind of what I miss.
- 35:37Speaker 1: But I could see myself, we'd go out and do
- 35:40Speaker 1: stuff and then we'd come back home And I could
- 35:42Speaker 1: see how she would see me across the room. I'd
- 35:43Speaker 1: sit down. I'd put my computer on my lap and
- 35:45Speaker 1: just start working. It doesn't matter. If I had 30
- 35:47Speaker 1: free seconds, it always went to that. And just a
- 35:52Speaker 1: couple of months ago, I started thinking, oh, man, that's
- 35:54Speaker 1: what she must have seen all the time.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Right. Someone looking up at someone just not there.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Right.
- 36:00Speaker 3: But you are there, but this is your comfortability.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Right.
- 36:03Speaker 3: It's comfortable.
- 36:04Speaker 1: It's reliable. I know the return. I know the rate
- 36:06Speaker 1: of return.
- 36:07Speaker 3: You enjoy it?
- 36:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I enjoy it. It's based– if I fail in it,
- 36:11Speaker 1: that's fine. It's totally on me. It's all– there's no
- 36:14Speaker 1: room for any– I mean, there's room for other people
- 36:16Speaker 1: in here really, but it's definitely– it's just you put in,
- 36:20Speaker 1: you get out, right? But so I don't know. Like, yeah,
- 36:24Speaker 1: I think that's something, like just like that addiction to work.
- 36:28Speaker 1: But then I'm getting older. I'd like to have a family,
- 36:29Speaker 1: you know, and you're like, well, I don't know how
- 36:31Speaker 1: that's going to happen unless I do some things different.
- 36:33Speaker 1: And so that's where I'm like I got to– I
- 36:36Speaker 1: think I got to just– you know, I don't know.
- 36:39Speaker 3: But you're sober too, right?
- 36:41Speaker 1: Yeah. This year, this year, this year has been a little, little,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I've had a couple of tough moments this year. This
- 36:46Speaker 1: past year has been the toughest year that I've had
- 36:47Speaker 1: in a while. Yeah.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Um, I hear that.
- 36:50Speaker 2: But, but like, this is like, you know, drugs for
- 36:55Speaker 2: me and smoking weed and you know, that, that was like,
- 36:58Speaker 2: those were my friends. I never did it to go
- 37:01Speaker 2: party or like, I was never like, Hey, let's like
- 37:03Speaker 2: go fucked up. I did it at home. pretty much
- 37:05Speaker 2: alone and I would just watch Family Guy. It was
- 37:08Speaker 2: like a warm hug, a warm blanket. When you get
- 37:11Speaker 2: rid of your friends, it's like, what's left? It's like work, nicotine.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Am I supposed to give up those too?
- 37:17Speaker 3: It's all I have.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Your body needs to appreciate the friends you just let go.
- 37:25Speaker 2: If you let go of too many things at once,
- 37:29Speaker 2: it's not good for you. I don't know if that's
- 37:31Speaker 2: how it is with you, but it's hard to have
- 37:33Speaker 2: a healthy relationship with... Like my reliabilities right now are
- 37:37Speaker 2: like working, zen, and like working out and taking care
- 37:41Speaker 2: of my girl and like hanging out with her.
- 37:43Speaker 3: That's like, that's all I have.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Like if you pull one of those away, it's like
- 37:48Speaker 2: three left, you know, I used to have eight things
- 37:50Speaker 2: and now it's like, so it's tough. It's tough.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Yeah. I think it's like, I do think there's a
- 37:55Speaker 1: lot of stuff there where it's like, I don't want
- 37:57Speaker 1: to probably see some of it, you know, or I
- 37:59Speaker 1: don't really want to feel like if I don't have a,
- 38:03Speaker 1: Some girl to text or a date to plan or
- 38:05Speaker 1: something in the distance or some work thing. Like if
- 38:08Speaker 1: I took everything away and I was just with myself,
- 38:11Speaker 1: how would I feel, you know? Or what would that
- 38:14Speaker 1: be like? And it would probably be fine. Right. But
- 38:16Speaker 1: I think it's the fear of what would that be like.
- 38:19Speaker 1: It's the hurdle, not the other side a lot of
- 38:22Speaker 1: times for me, you know? It's the same thing that
- 38:24Speaker 1: comes with like commitment to relationships. I had the toughest
- 38:27Speaker 1: time committing in relationships. I think it's just, it's probably
- 38:30Speaker 1: fine on the other side. Right. It's just fucking... stepping
- 38:33Speaker 1: over the hurdle sometimes.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Do you think you romanticize the fear a little bit
- 38:37Speaker 2: as an out where it's just like in your head,
- 38:39Speaker 2: you're like, no, this is what it's going to be like.
- 38:42Speaker 2: And then there's like a fear of like, I do
- 38:44Speaker 2: it and that's not what it's like.
- 38:46Speaker 3: And then that whole thing is gone. Does that make sense?
- 38:49Speaker 1: It's hitting into me.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Like, do you think like having that set answer of like, well,
- 38:55Speaker 2: if I do that, I won't be able to commit
- 38:56Speaker 2: or it's going to go wrong or whatever. Like you're
- 38:59Speaker 2: preventing yourself from even trying to do it. Oh, it
- 39:03Speaker 2: probably is what you need.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Right.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Like, and you can do it.
- 39:06Speaker 2: And there's almost like a, not like you, you don't.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Believe in yourself enough. Does that make sense?
- 39:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Cause that's a, that's a lot of, a lot of
- 39:15Speaker 2: my issues are like that.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Where I'm like, he can't do that. Like I can't,
- 39:19Speaker 3: I can't.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Oh, that's interesting.
- 39:21Speaker 3: And then I can, I like, I like prove myself
- 39:23Speaker 3: wrong and I'm not who I thought I was.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Oh, and that's scary to not be who you thought
- 39:27Speaker 1: you were. yeah because that's the person that i whoever
- 39:29Speaker 1: that person is whatever there is of them that's what i've.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Known yes and that's and that you're comfortable in that
- 39:35Speaker 2: yeah even if it's traumatic or you're depressed like i
- 39:38Speaker 2: was so i'm so afraid to be happy yeah because
- 39:41Speaker 2: it's uncomfortable dude.
- 39:42Speaker 1: There was a time this was like a year ago
- 39:44Speaker 1: it's funny you're saying some of this man and thanks
- 39:45Speaker 1: for thinking about it with me no of course um Yeah,
- 39:49Speaker 1: the time like a year ago, I was thinking, if
- 39:52Speaker 1: I don't want to feel like, I don't even know
- 39:55Speaker 1: who I'd be if I was happy. And if I was,
- 39:57Speaker 1: I would leave all of these feelings that I've always
- 40:01Speaker 1: known so much that are like my best fucking friends,
- 40:03Speaker 1: you know? Yeah. And it would be like, I almost
- 40:06Speaker 1: didn't even, man, I don't want to go live like
- 40:08Speaker 1: that because I'll desert these, whether they're lies or truths,
- 40:12Speaker 1: whatever they are, they're probably all in somewhat of cloaks
- 40:15Speaker 1: or masks, but I don't want to desert them. I'm
- 40:18Speaker 1: so used to being at this party with this other
- 40:21Speaker 1: small group of fucking lonely, perverted, gambling a little. But,
- 40:28Speaker 1: you know, that group that I don't even want to
- 40:30Speaker 1: go over there. But still, yeah. So, yeah, I think
- 40:33Speaker 1: there's probably just the fact of even taking time away
- 40:35Speaker 1: to sit and have conversations like this or to be
- 40:38Speaker 1: in environments where I'm not, like, regulating how I feel with.
- 40:44Speaker 1: celsius which the amateurs are using now.
- 40:46Speaker 2: I've heard dude that was the best i don't know
- 40:48Speaker 2: i don't know if you're recording but i mentioned before
- 40:51Speaker 2: that that dude was awesome and you said you were
- 40:55Speaker 2: in contact with him yeah and my question was how.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Dude we gotta send you over there to see that.
- 41:03Speaker 2: I would i would love to hang with that dude
- 41:05Speaker 2: sometimes like i don't know uh when I watched it one,
- 41:07Speaker 2: I thought it was really cool.
- 41:08Speaker 3: You did that. Cause you switch it up.
- 41:10Speaker 2: You'll have like an Oscar actor, then an athlete, then
- 41:13Speaker 2: like this Amish kid. Um, but it made me like
- 41:17Speaker 2: appreciative for like what I get to do and what
- 41:21Speaker 2: we get to do and what we, some things I
- 41:23Speaker 2: take for granted.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 41:24Speaker 2: When he was just like stoked to like get in
- 41:27Speaker 2: a Corvette with like two chicks.
- 41:29Speaker 3: And he was like, that was like my whole life.
- 41:31Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh it was pretty fast too yeah
- 41:35Speaker 2: press the pedal yeah so it made me super reflective
- 41:39Speaker 2: like and like the one i thought he was adorable
- 41:42Speaker 2: yeah he's nice yeah nice and like uh very honest
- 41:46Speaker 2: and earnest but i also was just like man i
- 41:47Speaker 2: gotta start stop like taking shit like that for granted.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Yeah i think a lot of that just comes into
- 41:53Speaker 1: gratitude you know and having that if we can mask
- 41:56Speaker 1: if we can just try to get that as part
- 41:57Speaker 1: of our days you know I struggle with it, but
- 41:59Speaker 1: I think that's it too, you know?
- 42:00Speaker 3: Well, your serotonin must be so fucked.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Like, you're operating at such a crazy level, dude. You're
- 42:05Speaker 2: interviewing the fucking president. Like, you get to do shit
- 42:10Speaker 2: every day that is someone's, like, if I get to
- 42:12Speaker 2: do that once in my life, like, that's my whole life.
- 42:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:15Speaker 1: And you're living that every day. So it's like, the
- 42:17Speaker 1: crash is, it's hard. Well, you too, man. I mean,
- 42:22Speaker 1: at least you got to date a lot of beautiful women.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I got stuck just interviewing the president and this Amish kid.
- 42:27Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 42:29Speaker 2: I'd trade.
- 42:30Speaker 1: I'd trade, dude.
- 42:32Speaker 2: I'd trade.
- 42:34Speaker 1: I'm not trading him. He's only 16. I will say
- 42:40Speaker 1: a funny thing about him. One of my favorite things,
- 42:42Speaker 1: I was like, see, do you ever listen to music?
- 42:43Speaker 1: He's like, well, we do three hymns every day when
- 42:45Speaker 1: we get to school, he goes. But every now and
- 42:47Speaker 1: then we'll sneak off and listen to some Def Leppard.
- 42:50Speaker 1: That's so fucking gross.
- 42:53Speaker 3: That's awesome, dude. That's fucking awesome.
- 42:56Speaker 2: And cool for Def Leppard, dude.
- 42:58Speaker 1: That's what I thought.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Dude, they should do an Amish.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Festival or something.
- 43:01Speaker 1: They should go straight there.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Absolutely, right to the source. Yeah, right to the fucking source, dude.
- 43:06Speaker 2: I haven't heard of Def Leppard since Joe Dirt. Def
- 43:10Speaker 2: Leppard sucks.
- 43:13Speaker 1: But that shit made me laugh. And he said they
- 43:15Speaker 1: listened to some Morgan Wallen.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Who's that?
- 43:18Speaker 1: And some Gunna.
- 43:19Speaker 3: And Gunna? Yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 2: I would pay to see.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Bring that up.
- 43:23Speaker 2: But also, wait, before you do, the guy on the
- 43:25Speaker 2: left in this photo, is that not Bruce Springsteen?
- 43:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it is, obviously.
- 43:30Speaker 3: That's Bruce Springsteen?
- 43:33Speaker 2: How?
- 43:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:34Speaker 3: What do you mean that's not Bruce Springsteen?
- 43:36Speaker 2: Who is that guy? I know he's in Def Leppard,
- 43:39Speaker 2: but that's Bruce Springsteen.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Who is that guy?
- 43:41Speaker 3: Google, like, zoom in. That's Bruce Springsteen.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Dude. Oh, yeah, Tim. Oh, now it's not as much.
- 43:49Speaker 1: But it looked like him for a second. There's David
- 43:51Speaker 1: Hasselhoff over there on the right.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Do you have footage of him listening to Gunna, dude?
- 43:58Speaker 1: Oh, no, but he does have a good quote about it.
- 44:00Speaker 3: I would love.
- 44:01Speaker 1: You know what's one of the funny things is Morgan
- 44:03Speaker 1: Waller and I were texting, and he's like, man, what
- 44:05Speaker 1: if that kid did that walkout with me at my concert?
- 44:07Speaker 3: Oh, dude.
- 44:09Speaker 1: But he doesn't have an ID. I think it was
- 44:13Speaker 1: being considered for Canada, his show in Edmonton last week,
- 44:16Speaker 1: but the Amish don't get identification.
- 44:20Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 44:21Speaker 3: They're off the map. They don't get like a passport,
- 44:24Speaker 3: no ID, nothing?
- 44:25Speaker 1: No, if somebody's like, do you have an ID, you
- 44:26Speaker 1: have to just draw a picture of yourself and show
- 44:27Speaker 1: it to them like that.
- 44:29Speaker 2: But they have like bursts. They don't have any of
- 44:31Speaker 2: that shit. They're like off grid like that.
- 44:33Speaker 1: I'm going to get him to come back another time
- 44:34Speaker 1: and get a little bit more in depth with him.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Dude, he comes, he has a backwards hat. He has
- 44:39Speaker 2: fucking ice on. He's so different. He's talking down to you. Like,
- 44:44Speaker 2: I would love to see that episode. He's so full
- 44:48Speaker 2: of himself, dude. Wearing a fucking Ricky Williams jersey.
- 44:53Speaker 1: He has a tattoo on his back. This butter don't churn.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Don't churn on me.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Yeah, don't churn on me.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Don't churn on me, dude.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Let's play this.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Yeah, he got to get a couple of those, like
- 45:05Speaker 2: a couple get her done, a couple like.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Yeah, we have to get him.
- 45:07Speaker 2: A couple of Hawk Tua sort of statements, you know
- 45:09Speaker 2: what I mean? So he can sell his own merch
- 45:12Speaker 2: out in the Amish country out of his hat. Pulling
- 45:13Speaker 2: out merch out of the hat, that would be fire.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Or he should sell those hats.
- 45:16Speaker 1: What music do you guys listen to? I know you
- 45:18Speaker 1: said in the beginning there's some difference. Sometimes people will
- 45:20Speaker 1: sneak in some Def Leppard. But if not, do you
- 45:22Speaker 1: guys just sing a lot? Is there a lot of
- 45:24Speaker 1: Amish songs and dancing as well or no?
- 45:25Speaker 4: No. In our community, there's not really any dancing. There's, like,
- 45:30Speaker 4: the only music, songs that are really louder would be, like,
- 45:35Speaker 4: chairman hymns. And sometimes we, like, sneak out on the
- 45:37Speaker 4: weekends and stuff. Listen to some Soulja Boy or something?
- 45:42Speaker 5: Yeah. Like, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Bon Jovi.
- 45:46Speaker 4: A lot of Amish, like, rock and roll. And then,
- 45:49Speaker 4: I guess, house EDM music. And then also a lot
- 45:52Speaker 4: of country, like.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Garth Brooks.
- 45:53Speaker 1: So everything.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Mark and Wallyn.
- 45:55Speaker 2: We crank up Spotify listen.
- 45:57Speaker 4: To like little bit of rap stuff like Amish Paradise
- 46:00Speaker 4: is that's a pretty good song.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Amish Paradise who sang that?
- 46:05Speaker 5: Weird Al Yankovic I did oh did he?
- 46:07Speaker 1: That makes perfect sense that's great.
- 46:09Speaker 4: Yeah Amish Paradise that's a pretty I love that song
- 46:11Speaker 4: that's a banger huh? it is a banger yeah he
- 46:14Speaker 4: looks a little bit mad there but it was a
- 46:17Speaker 4: pretty good song.
- 46:18Speaker 3: It's like me liking a song that just is called 9-11.
- 46:21Speaker 5: Also like I like to listen to little bit of
- 46:23Speaker 5: like rap stuff too Oh, yeah?
- 46:25Speaker 1: Yeah, like Ghana.
- 46:26Speaker 5: A little bit of Ghana.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Oh, you listen to some Ghana?
- 46:29Speaker 5: Yeah. Like, I don't really listen to what he says.
- 46:32Speaker 4: I looked at the lyrics, like, a couple times, and, like,
- 46:36Speaker 4: the lyrics aren't the best.
- 46:38Speaker 5: But, like, it sounds very melodic.
- 46:41Speaker 1: He's a vibe, yeah. That's good.
- 46:43Speaker 2: That's dope, dude.
- 46:44Speaker 1: That's good.
- 46:45Speaker 3: That kid rules.
- 46:46Speaker 1: He does rule, man. You know what's funny, man? Even
- 46:49Speaker 1: you saying that about him, it's like, anyone I think
- 46:52Speaker 1: about it, Like the worst thing I think is like
- 46:56Speaker 1: about drugs, addiction, that sort of thing. And it could
- 47:00Speaker 1: be like, I'm in like group, like SLAA, like I'm
- 47:03Speaker 1: in all, like I'm in a lot of different groups,
- 47:05Speaker 1: you know, like intimacy disorder type shit, like connectivity disorder,
- 47:10Speaker 1: you know, like, which probably some of it stems from
- 47:13Speaker 1: just like watching porn and growing up like that. But
- 47:15Speaker 1: any addiction stuff, it takes you away from like just
- 47:19Speaker 1: good moments in life, right? Yeah. It takes you away
- 47:21Speaker 1: from like, the mornings where you get to meet up
- 47:24Speaker 1: and meet with a friend for coffee or you get
- 47:26Speaker 1: to work out and feel good about yourself walking out
- 47:28Speaker 1: or you get to text a friend in the morning
- 47:30Speaker 1: and say, hey, have a great day, right? Or you
- 47:32Speaker 1: get to sit with somebody like that who's just figuring
- 47:34Speaker 1: out the world.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Yeah, because you wake up and you're like, don't jerk off,
- 47:36Speaker 2: don't jerk off, don't jerk off, don't jerk off.
- 47:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 47:38Speaker 3: And then you jerk off and then you can go hang.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Out with your family. Oh, that's the fucking worst, dude.
- 47:42Speaker 3: No, it's tough, dude.
- 47:42Speaker 1: When you feel like everybody knows you've been jerking off. Yeah.
- 47:45Speaker 1: That's the worst.
- 47:46Speaker 2: It's like smoking weed where you're like, everyone knows I'm high.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Everyone knows I just jerked off.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Because I'm so relaxed.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Do you keep up with it when, are you more
- 47:56Speaker 2: into the meetings and stuff when you're like, fuck, I'm tweaking?
- 48:00Speaker 2: Or do you do it both regularly and when you're?
- 48:04Speaker 1: Oh, if I'm having tough times or not having tough times,
- 48:06Speaker 1: I'm always to go to meetings.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Cool.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Yeah. Meetings have always been kind of a thing for me,
- 48:10Speaker 1: I think.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Do you have a, I'm sure, I don't know if
- 48:15Speaker 2: you feel this way, but sometimes you're in a meeting
- 48:16Speaker 2: and you're like, some.
- 48:18Speaker 3: Of these dudes just like to talk.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Where you're like, oh, this guy's here.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:23Speaker 2: And he's going to tell that story. And it's so long.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:27Speaker 3: And it means so much to him.
- 48:29Speaker 2: And it's pretty mid compared to anything.
- 48:31Speaker 3: I've ever done.
- 48:32Speaker 2: It's not, it's not to diminish his stuff, but like, yeah,
- 48:36Speaker 2: there's some meat, there's some meeting like warriors where you're like, okay.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Yeah. I got it. Yeah. One dude would play that song.
- 48:43Speaker 1: This little light of mine. Have you ever heard that
- 48:44Speaker 1: during his shares or whatever?
- 48:45Speaker 3: I never saw it, but I know that song.
- 48:47Speaker 1: This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
- 48:50Speaker 1: But he would put that really low on his phone
- 48:52Speaker 1: while he would share at a meeting, dude, and people
- 48:54Speaker 1: would be like.
- 48:55Speaker 6: Oh, dude.
- 48:56Speaker 3: That's tough.
- 48:57Speaker 1: So some of that shit was crazy, but then that's
- 48:59Speaker 1: when I'm recognized, oh, I'm impatient with people, and this
- 49:03Speaker 1: is a practice for me to just sit here and
- 49:04Speaker 1: be patient. Right. You know?
- 49:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:08Speaker 2: But the best is being- Also, that's annoying as fuck.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Yes.
- 49:11Speaker 5: Yes.
- 49:11Speaker 2: But you have to find the balance.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Yes.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:14Speaker 2: Because that is, that sucks. I don't want you to
- 49:18Speaker 2: think you're acting out of character.
- 49:19Speaker 3: Thanks. to be a better person. That sounds like it's miserable.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Yeah. And sometimes he would even do this. City can't
- 49:24Speaker 1: hold us. Whatever that song is. But to me, go back.
- 49:29Speaker 2: It was a whole city can't hold us.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Who cares? Have you been jerking off or not? Yeah.
- 49:40Speaker 1: It's Raymond's turn to share. Let's fucking keep it moving, dude.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Sometimes you're like, fuck. But then you're like, I'm impatient.
- 49:49Speaker 1: And that's why I'm probably not in a relationship. I'm
- 49:53Speaker 1: just impatient, you know, or like those types of things,
- 49:55Speaker 1: you know.
- 49:57Speaker 2: Oh, it's Macklemore.
- 49:58Speaker 5: Sorry, dude.
- 49:58Speaker 2: It's Macklemore. I love Macklemore, too. I love Macklemore, too.
- 50:01Speaker 2: I hope he drops a banger soon. We miss him.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Bro, get with the Amish, bro.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Oh, he'd be perfect for that.
- 50:07Speaker 1: That would be perfect.
- 50:08Speaker 2: That would be sick.
- 50:09Speaker 3: The Macklemore revival in Amish country.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Bro, if Macklemore hit up the Amish, dude.
- 50:15Speaker 2: That's an untapped market.
- 50:16Speaker 1: This hay bale can't hold up. This yellow fever can't
- 50:21Speaker 1: hold us. Do they get diseases out there? I don't
- 50:24Speaker 1: even know.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Well, they don't have doctors, right?
- 50:25Speaker 3: They just have a guy that's like... The bishop?
- 50:27Speaker 1: Yeah. That's what he says all the time.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Do people drop like flies in Amish country?
- 50:31Speaker 1: People don't die that much. There's no depression. There's no
- 50:33Speaker 1: ADHD out there. Bro, they're living.
- 50:36Speaker 2: They're... How big is the town?
- 50:39Speaker 3: Like, is it a mile?
- 50:40Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Because I imagine it just.
- 50:43Speaker 3: Looks like a Back to the Future 3 set.
- 50:49Speaker 1: It says mercantile.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Yeah, just like six houses and dirt, you know?
- 50:55Speaker 1: I think you're right.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Right?
- 50:57Speaker 1: He gave a tour of his house the other day.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Somebody said when his parents were out, not out of town,
- 51:01Speaker 1: but they were like in another district. Is that it
- 51:03Speaker 1: right there? Oh, that's the Back to the Future.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like it looks like that, dude. It
- 51:08Speaker 2: has to. He's setting up an Airbnb over there.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Did you... Once you started to feel better, did that
- 51:17Speaker 1: create a space for you? Because I know you're having
- 51:18Speaker 1: a child. Do you have a child yet?
- 51:19Speaker 3: I'm having a child, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 51:21Speaker 1: A boy?
- 51:22Speaker 2: We have not disclosed.
- 51:24Speaker 1: But you do know, though?
- 51:25Speaker 2: Oh, we know.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Okay, got it.
- 51:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. But yeah, coming soon. Dropping a baby soon.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm fucking thrilled, dude. That's cool.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Was it hard to get to that place? Do you
- 51:36Speaker 1: think you'd have been able to get there if you
- 51:38Speaker 1: didn't get in sobriety or those sort of things or
- 51:41Speaker 1: get into the room? recovery like that sort of environment
- 51:44Speaker 1: like did that adjust any of the way that you
- 51:46Speaker 1: were like thinking about having a family or relationships or anything.
- 51:50Speaker 2: So thank god that i'm sober and where i wish
- 51:57Speaker 2: i had more time i don't think anybody's ever like
- 51:59Speaker 2: i'm ready i i don't i wouldn't know but um
- 52:03Speaker 2: i wish i had more time of sobriety uh because
- 52:06Speaker 2: it's only been like a year and change um but
- 52:10Speaker 2: I'm very grateful that it happened now. And with the person, uh,
- 52:15Speaker 2: with Elsie, cause, uh, you know, when in other relationships
- 52:20Speaker 2: or when I was, you know, I was, I was
- 52:22Speaker 2: a drug addict and, you know, very mentally deranged, but like,
- 52:27Speaker 2: that was my goal. Like I need, I need to
- 52:29Speaker 2: have a kid. I need to get married. Like, cause
- 52:31Speaker 2: that's how I grew up. Like, All my aunts and
- 52:34Speaker 2: uncles got married at like 21. And they knew each
- 52:37Speaker 2: other since grammar school. And like they had three kids
- 52:40Speaker 2: by 26.
- 52:42Speaker 1: Oh, that's fire department stat and all that shit.
- 52:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Blue collar.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Meeting a burn unit and fucking.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:48Speaker 3: So like.
- 52:48Speaker 1: A couple skin grafts and then we're having one. Yeah, yeah.
- 52:51Speaker 2: You know? Yeah.
- 52:52Speaker 3: Like every music video. Like, you know. But I was
- 52:57Speaker 3: so not ready. I was not. I didn't even know.
- 53:00Speaker 3: I still don't really know who I am. I think
- 53:02Speaker 3: I'm learning. I'm learning.
- 53:03Speaker 2: But there was no fucking way that that was possible.
- 53:09Speaker 2: And I almost think that's why it didn't happen because
- 53:11Speaker 2: I was like, I need to do this. I have
- 53:12Speaker 2: to do this. And, you know, no one wanted to
- 53:17Speaker 2: do that with me. Like, you know, but I think
- 53:21Speaker 2: I knew that. And that's why it was like... And
- 53:25Speaker 2: then I just stopped dating and I was like, I
- 53:29Speaker 2: need to fucking.
- 53:33Speaker 2: Get better and I need to like be in a
- 53:34Speaker 2: place where I could even have a healthy relationship. And like,
- 53:38Speaker 2: if that comes great, it's like, you can't like, can't
- 53:42Speaker 2: go into stuff with like this. I got to like,
- 53:44Speaker 2: that's first of all, it's a lot of pressure on
- 53:47Speaker 2: your partner. It's a lot of pressure on you. And
- 53:49Speaker 2: you're like kind of setting yourself up for failure. And
- 53:52Speaker 2: it's like, you know, that was just like my whole
- 53:56Speaker 2: upbringing was like, that's how it works. So I think
- 53:58Speaker 2: it was like kind of backwards for me, especially in
- 54:00Speaker 2: this business. That's not how that works.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:03Speaker 2: You know, because people have options. You know, when you're
- 54:06Speaker 2: growing up in a small town, it's like there's these
- 54:08Speaker 2: four girls you could pick from.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Like this is who I went to school with. You know, so.
- 54:16Speaker 2: I'm really grateful it happened now and I wasn't looking
- 54:19Speaker 2: for a relationship or looking to, you know, obviously I
- 54:23Speaker 2: wanted to, but I wasn't looking to have a baby
- 54:25Speaker 2: and it all just kind of happened at once and
- 54:27Speaker 2: it's been like awesome.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Dang.
- 54:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm like relieved it's her and Just it's, I'm
- 54:33Speaker 2: fucking excited, dude.
- 54:34Speaker 3: It's awesome.
- 54:35Speaker 2: And it's also like selfishly, like I get to be unselfish.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Like I'm not the focal point of my life anymore
- 54:42Speaker 2: where it's like.
- 54:43Speaker 1: So sick of myself.
- 54:45Speaker 3: I'm fucking exhausted. Like I get, like when I was.
- 54:47Speaker 1: We were exhausted of you just as people. Yeah.
- 54:50Speaker 2: No, I get it. Like now I like, I get it.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Like I was, like I do.
- 54:54Speaker 1: I'm joking.
- 54:54Speaker 2: No, I'm serious. I was just, I was just, I'd
- 54:57Speaker 2: be like, yeah, I'd fucking, I'd be annoyed too. Like
- 55:00Speaker 2: I didn't like how. I didn't think that's how I was.
- 55:03Speaker 2: And I think anybody that knows me knows that's not.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Oh, no. I was totally just joking. But I think
- 55:07Speaker 1: you see people's faces so much. I just think that's
- 55:10Speaker 1: even how I feel, dude. I'll see a social media.
- 55:11Speaker 1: I'll be like, God, somebody burned me down. I just like.
- 55:15Speaker 2: It's relentless.
- 55:16Speaker 1: What else do we have to like.
- 55:18Speaker 3: I still think it's too much.
- 55:19Speaker 2: Like, you know, I'm amazed by people who could, you know,
- 55:24Speaker 2: who are super famous and do amazing work that just
- 55:27Speaker 2: like you only see them when they're working. And there's
- 55:30Speaker 2: not like random articles like these two guys hung out
- 55:33Speaker 2: or he went to a Knicks game. It's like I'm
- 55:35Speaker 2: so envious of people that are able to, you know, separate,
- 55:39Speaker 2: you know, that that sort of life.
- 55:41Speaker 3: But, yeah, it's tough, though.
- 55:43Speaker 2: It's tough because they need shit to write about all
- 55:46Speaker 2: day because our minds are so, you know, every two
- 55:49Speaker 2: hours you forget that you want to read something else.
- 55:52Speaker 3: So, like, I think it's tough. It's tougher to be like.
- 55:55Speaker 3: That someone's going to be like.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Oh, it's so hard to be a celebrity.
- 55:58Speaker 1: No, it's okay, dude.
- 55:59Speaker 2: But, like, it's tougher.
- 56:01Speaker 1: It's life.
- 56:02Speaker 3: It's tougher now. And, you know, some of these.
- 56:05Speaker 1: Well, you should just be able to hide. Remember, the
- 56:07Speaker 1: only things we knew were Richard Gere was, you know,
- 56:09Speaker 1: starting a pet store in his ass or whatever. Yeah.
- 56:12Speaker 1: And what else?
- 56:13Speaker 2: But then you see one of his movies and you're like,
- 56:15Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 56:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:17Speaker 1: He's good.
- 56:18Speaker 3: Set up shop. This movie fucks. And he's handsome.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Hey, I'll even watch and do a little Dr. Doolittle.
- 56:26Speaker 3: Bro, that would have been a great sketch, dude.
- 56:30Speaker 2: If he just owned it, I bet he would have
- 56:32Speaker 2: been able to beat that if he just did SNL
- 56:34Speaker 2: and played Dr.
- 56:35Speaker 3: Doolittle.
- 56:37Speaker 1: But what a crazy story.
- 56:38Speaker 2: There's so many stories where I'm just like, how did
- 56:41Speaker 2: this ruin someone's life?
- 56:43Speaker 3: There's rumors that like- There.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Were great stories.
- 56:46Speaker 3: Like Rod Stewart.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Drank so much cum his stomach needed to be pumped.
- 56:52Speaker 2: And I was like, dude, I was like, that's, but
- 56:55Speaker 2: when you're in high school, you're like, oh yeah, fucking idiot.
- 56:58Speaker 2: And then you're like 30 and you're like, that's not
- 57:00Speaker 2: even possible, man.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Where do you even get that?
- 57:03Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no amount of cum in the world that
- 57:07Speaker 2: you could.
- 57:08Speaker 1: I wouldn't think I don't know I don't know I
- 57:10Speaker 1: think if you had a lot it looks like I
- 57:12Speaker 1: don't know I don't know I've only seen somebody have
- 57:14Speaker 1: a little.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Yeah yeah like where are you getting all this cum
- 57:18Speaker 2: from well that's another thing that's another thing I don't
- 57:21Speaker 2: know but yeah I.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Remember just and now it has microplastics in it a
- 57:24Speaker 1: lot of it yeah that's the craziest.
- 57:27Speaker 2: Thing non-GMO cum yeah dude yeah our cum's even bad
- 57:31Speaker 2: in America.
- 57:33Speaker 1: You know I'm not home a lot you know I
- 57:36Speaker 1: can't keep a plant alive at the moment But when

- 57:58Speaker 1: I like mine so much I got two of them.
- 58:00Speaker 1: I put one of them in the guest room over
- 58:02Speaker 1: there in case mom wants to come and just launch
- 58:05Speaker 1: some of her dirty dreams into that thing. Because honestly,

- 59:57Speaker 1: missed calls, no missed customers. So did you think you
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: were able to get over some of that stuff of like,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: like did you go to like certain types of therapy
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: that would help you get through the stuff of like,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: or what did you learn about I need them for
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: me to feel all right, right? Like do you think
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: any of that actually adjusted?
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: So like it got to a point where like, here's
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: the problem with going to therapy for like tabloid shit.
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: They're like, your therapist is like, yeah, I don't know. Right. Like,
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: I don't, you're part of like a very small group
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: of people.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: And then I would, what really freaked me out was
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: I like, I would call Sandler or like Stiller or like,
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: you know, I.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: Was like, Hey, when you, when you were like young
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: and sound like, I don't know about it.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: I never, I never really got that. And we're dealing.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: With sucks, you know?
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: And I'm like, Oh fuck. I'm so alone in this dude. And, um,
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: like when you call the goats and the big, big
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: dogs and they're like.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: I don't fucking.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: So, It became a like, it got to the point
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: where I like wouldn't go outside and like I would
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: stay inside and then these articles would keep coming up
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: and like, it's always like a source close to people.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't even have friends anymore. I'm like,
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: who are these people? And then it got to a
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: point where I was just like, I'm not doing anything.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: This is running my life. Whether I am happy or
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: go out or not, this is still gonna happen. I
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: might as well like go fucking have fun. Like who
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: the fuck cares?
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: And then what really helped me was I would put
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: someone else's name in the.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Title of the article and see if I cared. Yeah.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: You know, I'd be like, you know, so-and-so, like Hugh Jackman, so-and-so, so-and-so.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, I don't really give a fuck. Yeah.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: You know, but when it's you, you're like, everybody's reading this.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Everybody, when they look at me, this is what they think.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: And it's like.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: It's not true.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: No one reads that shit. That's the truth, really. Literally
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: no one.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Reads that shit except for people in our shit.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: And the people that write it and the people that
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: still give a fuck about that shit.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: But you're like a bus driver. They just want to
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: see you do the thing they like that you do.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: They want to see you in a movie. No one
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: has time for that. But we're in this bubble where
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: it's like we think all this shit matters.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: Well, I think that's the scary thing about Hollywood. The
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: scary thing that always kind of scared me about Hollywood
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: and that sort of environment is it feels like they
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: build you up, and then they can all– it's this cycle, right?
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: They can't wait.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Right, and it feels like it's dirty, but it's just
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: the most opportune cycle. Every moment of it, there's a
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: possibility for everything, right?
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Yeah, look at Pedro Pascal right now. Fucking two years ago,
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: he's a hardworking, great actor.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Eddington was great. You see it?
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fucking great. Joaquin and– That guy fucking Ari
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: Aster is just fucking... He is good, huh?
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: He's so good. He just makes shit where I'm just like,
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: I would never be able to think like that.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: But everyone was like, he's worked so hard and has
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: been a struggling actor.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: Fucking blows up so fucking hard.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Everyone's like, daddy, daddy, daddy, daddy, right? And then a
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: year later, he's like in everything now because he's hot
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: and big and everyone's like, go the fuck away, dude.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: It's like, yo, give- I hope Ice gets Pascal. Yeah,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: it's like, what the fuck, dude?
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Who said that?
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: It's also just like, you got to give someone time
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: to adjust to that new level of fame. Like, you know,
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: he's been banging at it for 30 years and now
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: he's learning how to go get a cup of coffee
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: or like deal with someone that like taps you on
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: the shoulder where you have your earbuds in and freaks
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: you out.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: Like, gotta give that guy a fucking second to like adjust. Like,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: you know what I mean? And also like what happened?
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: They're gonna do it with, Walton Goggins will be next.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: They'll be like, what the fuck? You know, it's like
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: we build everybody up and now it's so fast. It's
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: like so fast to turn. And then.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: Yeah, the turn is crazy.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Bro, it's like within months.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: It's kind of crazy, dude.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: It's within months where you're like, what the fuck happened?
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Look at Amish Timothy, huh?
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Yeah. out here drinking homogenized milk i've heard yeah they'll
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: be bringing him down soon even.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: Like the you know like i know it's different but
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: like the thing with that hawk to a girl was
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: so sad like i remember just being like this is
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: sad yeah like she's not you know what i mean.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: What's going on here she's jerking or something she was
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: kind of hypothetically bj bjing a man or something on
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: the interview, and then they got her into a meme
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: coin or something. I was like, what? What the fuck?
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: She was like this sweet girl that's like, everyone fell
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: in love with her because she's like, you know, kind
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: of normal and like just cares about pets and everyone's like,
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: this girl's actually cool, you know? I was like, Then does, like,
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: one thing that didn't go the way everybody wanted it to.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: And, like, she doesn't know how to fucking run crypto. Like,
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: I don't even know what.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Fuck.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: I don't even know what crypto is, dude.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? If I can't hold it physically, like,
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: I don't fuck with it.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Yeah, dude. And the fact that people were like, yeah.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Fuck you.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Like, this girl? This is who you're going to. Everything
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: going on in the world and fuck this girl? Are
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: you kidding?
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Like, leave her alone.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Yeah, she had a pretty good blowjob recipe, I thought.
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: Yeah. You know?
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, people are just.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: I laughed.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: You know, this is the enemy.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: It's so crazy, dude. But I think it's, I think
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: as if you can get on the right side of
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: your own self, right, then you can be in control
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: or you can at least have some awareness. And that's
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: where I think like the value is these days is
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: the relationship you can have with yourself is more important
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: than ever. And just understanding of what's going on. That
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: this is how it is. And so let me be
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: in control of myself and not just at the whims
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: of how do other people feel about me. Just all
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: these little things, you know, like all these addictive things.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: You know, it's like the more you can get control
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: over yourself, the better chance you have, you know.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: There's also part of you that has to go through
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: it to understand a little bit.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: Like, you know what I mean? Like, I was also
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: super judgy, like, growing up. Like, fuck that.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: Like, this is an example I love to use. You
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: remember when Christian Bale like yelled at that dude on
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: the Terminator set?
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: So I was like 12 years old when that audio
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: came out. You want me to trash your fucking lights?
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: You know, it's distracting.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: And I remember hearing that and being, I was 12.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: I was like, what an asshole. Fuck Christian Bale.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: You're a Batman dude. You're yelling at like a lighting dude.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: 10 years later, I made one movie. I was like,
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: what the fuck did that lighting guy do? to make
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: Christian Bale so mad that he even knew who he was. Like,
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: and then you, and then I did some digging and
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: it's like, the guy was in the shot. He was
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: on his phone and Christian Bale is trying to cry
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: to a Terminator. He's a 35 year old man trying
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: to cry to a robot. Right. These days is easy,
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: but this is 20 years ago. In a bad movie.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: Like he's trying to cry halfway through a bad movie.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: And there's a lighting guy fucking around in his shot.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: The lighting guy's over there doing these things. Yeah.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: So it's like he was right. But the world don't
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: know that because the world has not made a movie
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: or dealt with any of that stuff.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: There's no way to win, right? There's no way to
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: win the thing where everybody likes you. It's all just
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: a trap, you know?
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: Yeah. And they could smell it on you.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: And we don't know what people are going through. You
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: don't know what Christian Bale is going through. Yeah. He's
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: so good. He's unbelievable.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: It's also just like, I remember, you know, before, it
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: sounds shady to say, but before you're at a certain
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: level or in this thing, like, I remember I used
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: to be like, wow, that guy's a fucking dick. Like,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: you see, like, a video of someone being like, hey,
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: can I take a picture? And they're like, hey, man, I'm, like,
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: eating or, like, whatever. And it's like, maybe that guy's, like,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: fighting with someone or, like, maybe he's having a bad day.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: Maybe his grandpa is sick or maybe he's just fucking hungover.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: There's so many– like think about how you feel every day.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: So we're just so quick to be like, oh, that guy's.
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: A fucking asshole. Maybe he's tired, dude. Maybe he's tired.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Maybe he has a back– maybe he has one of
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: those things that are supposed to be working out your
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: abs on. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Maybe he's in the fucking zone, dude. Yeah.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Maybe he's locked in, dude.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: Locked in, dude.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Oh, so the tour, let me find out the dates
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: you're going on to. I don't want to keep you
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: too long, man. It's been a fun conversation, dude.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Oh, dude, I love it.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: And I'm just glad to think about some of this stuff. Yeah, definitely.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Right when you walked in, man, I could see a
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: whole different light in your eyes just overall. Oh, thanks, man.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Just like a warm energy that feels hopeful. And it's
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: not judgmental. I see it in a lot of sober guys.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: You see guys, they're feeling good.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: No, I appreciate that. And you've always been so kind
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: to me and awesome throughout. I don't know if you remember,
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: but I remember we used to live in L.A. We
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: used to I used to run into you all the
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: time at the improv as I was a kid and
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: getting older, and you were always so kind and cool.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Oh, thanks.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Yeah, especially at times where certain people weren't, or the
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: popular thing was to be like, fuck that dude, and
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: you were just always awesome, and I always appreciated that.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Well, thanks, Pete. That's nice of you. I know my
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: friend Simon Rex thinks so highly of you.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: Who, Chris?
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Look at Crispy, baby.
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: Crispy, baby.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: How about that dude, huh?
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: He's so great, huh?
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: The turnaround.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: He helped me so much. One night he saw me
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: do a set at the Laugh Factory and he tweeted
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: about it. And it was like the first person that
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: was like, I love Simon's sense of what's cool, right?
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: He just... Because he's his own thing. Yeah, unapologetically. And
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: he was like, this guy's act is cool. Something that
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: just made me feel like, whoa. And that was still
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: one of the highlights of my whole life. And then, yeah,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: I knew you guys have spent some time together over
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: the years.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: He's the best, dude. We lived together for a while.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: He's the fucking man. And also just love. We all
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: love a turnaround, man. Oh, yeah, dude.
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: His glow up.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Crazy. Crazy. Red Rocket, that movie was bonkers. That's the
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: first movie premiere I ever went to was to see
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: his Red, to see, well, I guess you actually see
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: his Red Rocket at the end.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you kind of do.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: There's a wiener, I hope it's an actor wiener or whatever.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: An actor wiener is hilarious.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: But, I don't care if it's a damn woman's wiener
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: that we're paying for.
- 1:10:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: So, oh yeah, that was fun, dude, watching him.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and also just like, you know, when he got,
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: I remember I cried when he got that Indy Award.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Like, because it, like it, you know, you see actors
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: that are at the top of their game or, you know,
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: very wealthy or, you know, you know, not saying Simon's not,
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: I'm just saying like, you see people were kind of
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: used to that sort of reception. And it was like
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: the most honest, if you guys are at home, watch
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Simon Rex win an indie spirit award.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: It is, you get so emotional, dude. Like it means
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: so much to him.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: And like, you know, he's awesome and stuff, but like,
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: you know, he, he was kind of in a certain
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: category where, He would self-admittedly say, not that people didn't
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: take him seriously, just like, you're a silly goose sort
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: of guy.
- 1:10:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: And he is a silly goose.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: And he is.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: But he found his own. Even a silly goose fucking
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: is full of golden eggs, you know?
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: Yeah, Simon Baker?
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Simon Reck?
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: No, Sean Baker.
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: Sean Baker.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: Jeez, I should probably know that name.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Maybe. I don't know. Please put me in your movie.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: No, he's a really nice guy, but Sean Baker just
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: saw the magic in him.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Well, the Florida project was way too fucking long, too.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I'll say that, Sean Baker, and I'll say that shit
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: with my chest. Can we play it a little bit?
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Simon gets it.
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: What the fuck?
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: Thank you, Film Independent, for recognizing my fake penis.
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: Right away. Silly goose.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: Where do I begin?
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Sean Baker. Sean Baker.
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: Sean Baker, you took a shot on me when I
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: could not get a call back for a Geico commercial.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: I couldn't get arrested.
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: And this man believed in me and took a shot,
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: and I'm so glad I.
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: Delivered for you, Sean.
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: Truly, you're a genius. Writer, director, editor, casting, he did
- 1:12:06Speaker 6: it all and he decided to give me a shot
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: and I didn't want to let him down and here
- 1:12:10Speaker 6: I am. I honestly, my career was in the toilet.
- 1:12:14Speaker 6: I gave up, I moved out to Joshua Tree and
- 1:12:16Speaker 6: said maybe it's all over. And all of a sudden
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: I get a phone call out of the blue from
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: Sean and he just gave me a shot and he
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: called me and said, look, do you trust me? And
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: I seen this film so I did trust him. and
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: he said, you're not gonna make any money, I'm not
- 1:12:34Speaker 6: gonna make any money, we're gonna go make a movie
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: real quick. And we made something special on a very
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: low budget.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: With a 10-person crew.
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: I want to thank everybody from the crew of the film,
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: everyone in the cast, Susanna Son, my co-star, thank you
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: so much. I want to thank Brie Elrod, my other
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: co-star in the Love Triangle. Every local actor from Texas
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: who was a first-time actor.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: So cool.
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: Sick.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: They blew me away.
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: This was like one of those magical things that happens
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: once in a lifetime. And I don't even, I'm still
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: in shock. We shot this during COVID. Even finishing this
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: movie was ambitious and I'm reeling from the whole experience.
- 1:13:20Speaker 6: So also, You know, thank you to Film Independent, everybody.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Thank you, A24. Thank you, Film Nation. Thank you, Le Pacte.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Thank you, Focus. That's good, huh? Universal.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: His ending is crazy. At the end, he just goes,
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck anymore.
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: And all I want to do, I don't care about
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: fame or money. I got caught in that trap a
- 1:13:40Speaker 6: long time ago. I've been in this business 25 years.
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: And it's not about anything except doing good work. I
- 1:13:46Speaker 6: just want to continue to surprise people and do good work.
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: And that's really what this is all about. This movie
- 1:13:53Speaker 6: was made for a million dollars with a 10%... I
- 1:13:56Speaker 6: got caught up in that shit a long time.
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: I'm just happy to be... He's a special guy. He's
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: a good guy, dude.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: He is.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: He's crispy, dude.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Oh, that's so crispy, baby. I've met so many great
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: people through him.
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: Dude, super tapped in.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: And if people know him, it's like, oh, okay. He's
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: kind of like that trustworthy, he's like the elbow. It's like, okay,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: then I'll let these two parts of it connect.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: And he's like a, you know, he dates back fucking,
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: he'll be like, yeah, I was hanging with, like, how
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: the fuck do you know?
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: He dated Betsy Ross's fucking daughter, I think. crazy dude
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: yeah it.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: Was like crazy it was like crazy shit yeah he's
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: like i was hanging out with so i'm like how
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: because you you know he's like 50 but like he
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: looks 37 yeah but also 80 at the same time
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: like he's like i call him desert hot where he's
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: just like you're like what are you dude But, yeah,
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: his fucking.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: He's unbelievable, dude.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: He's the best.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: A lot of his, yeah, some of his ex-girlfriends have
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: even passed away, dude. Some in this hotel. In his room. So,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: Brittany Murphy. But what else? A couple things you're excited
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: about about having a child, and then we'll get you
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: out of here.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: You know, it sounds super corny, but just, like, super
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: stoked to give this kid a happy childhood and be
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: reliable and just, like, not– you just don't want your
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: kid– I mean, fuck, though, I know I'm not a dad,
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: but I'm going to be. But, like, I assume– I
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: just want my kid to not have the same troubles
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: I had and fears and insecurities and just, like, just
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: be there. Just, like, be there and be, like, a solid, like, rock.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: You know, and also I'm excited to see my girl
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: be a mom. That's going to be cool.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: That is cool.
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: You know, and it'll probably be so hot, too.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: I'm just like, whoa.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Put a fucking apron on or whatever.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: They get to do cool mom shit, you know, and,
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: you know, scream. The boss is here. I'm like, oh, fuck, yeah.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: It's so hot. No, but all kidding aside, like, I'm just.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: You're one of those yes, we can tattoos right there.
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: I'm just excited, you know, Halloween, we all dress up.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Oh, it's fun.
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: Because now Halloween will be cool and not, like, sad,
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: you know, that we're all being whores and we're 30,
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Yeah, you're out there slurping some chick's crotch for a
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: snicker or whatever.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: Yeah, totally.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Tight shit, man. Hell yeah, dude.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: And then after you're done slurping, she's like, I don't
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: even have Snickers. And you're like, oh, Halloween.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Oh, dude.
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: Boo.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Boo. How does Amy feel? Does she, what's she weighed
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: in about?
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: My mom would have this kid with me if she could.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: My mom has been fucking starved for a grandchild. She's already,
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: she's talking to my girl's belly being like, I'm Amy.
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: I'm Amy.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: She's like, that's Grandma Amy. I'm Amy. I'm like, you
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: got to back off.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: That sounds a little cultural appropriation as well, a little bit.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: You got to back off a little bit. She's overly excited.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: It's sweet because I feel guilty about my mom giving
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: up dating and just having a life in general to
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: raise me and my sister alone.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: And I didn't realize it until I got older. Like, oh, shit.
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: She was kind of the goat. She really cared. And
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: I feel like since me and my sister moved out
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: and we're getting older.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: Like she's, she's kind of, I don't want to talk
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: in any sort of way about, but I feel like
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: she's kind of bored and a little lonely. Cause I've,
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: I've been like, you should date. And she's like, nah,
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: your dad was my guy. And I'm like, Oh, they
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: don't make you, you anymore. This woman, you know what
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: I mean? And I just, I'm, I'm very excited to,
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: for her to have not purpose, but just like to
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: be excited about something and like, yeah, baby something. you know,
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: and raise something. So I'm really excited to see her
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: in that grandma role.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: It's going to be cool, dude. I'm excited for Amy.
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm stoked.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: It's going to be fun. Yeah. And just grow the family.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: It's cool. You guys deserve it.
- 1:18:09Speaker 6: Thanks, man.
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm excited.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: I'm also like, I don't know if you have a
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: huge family, but my I have six aunts and uncles
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: and they all have three, four kids. So there's like
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: 40 cousins. And I was like, I was first in
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: the paint to have a kid.
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: Really? Yeah.
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: So this baby's going to get all the love.
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: Because it's first.
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:18:30Speaker 5: Hell yeah.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: So I'm stoked.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: That's going to be awesome, man. I was just thinking
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: real fast about, what was I thinking about? Silver Lining Playbook? No,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: what is that?
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: That's a good movie, man. It's so good.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: It's cool to think about it.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: God, I saw that the other, I saw it like
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: a couple weeks ago.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Remember Chris Tucker was in it, right? You're like, oh shit,
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: it's Chris Tucker.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: Dude, that movie is so good. Oh no, the movie Frequency.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: Have you ever seen it?
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: Jim Caviezel, Dennis Quaid.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: Dude, I got the funniest.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: It's one of my favorite movies. It makes me think
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: of you whenever I see it.
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: Bro, yo, I've been waiting to talk Frequency with someone
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: my entire life. So I love that movie so much.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: for obvious reasons, but here's what's really funny. 2002, that
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: came out in what, 98 or 2000?
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: Right, yeah. It's a good movie.
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: So it's 2002, and my grandma, for Christmas, got me
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: the frequency VHS or DVD, and she was like, you're
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: gonna love this movie.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: And I watched it, and I was just like, why.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: Would she give this to me?
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: It was not a movie at eight years old, six
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: months after my dad died that i was like prepared
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: to see but it's literally the pete davidson fantasy yeah
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: so guys you gotta jim caviezel is uh is fucking
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: in the present he's 30 years old and his dad's
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: dead and he was a fireman and his dad died
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: like 20 30 years ago or whatever and uh he
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: gets this old cb radio and there's this weird thing
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: going on in the sky and he just like plugs
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: it in one night because he's sad and then his
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: dad is on the other side 20 years ago talking
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: they talk to each other they solve a crime and
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: they fucking and he comes back at the end and
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: he changes the life trajectory and i'm just like oh
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: my god yeah i hope it happens i really do
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: dude there's a there's a legit part of me that's
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: like sometimes i'll.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: Be on ebay and i'll be like cb radio.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: Yeah working working not project working i don't want a
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: project but yeah it's my fantasy.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: Right yeah that'd be dope or at least.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Let me remake it you know i've been seeing like
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: they're making like the show about 9-11 and i'm like
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: call me up dude I should be grandfathered into those projects.
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: I should get a piece of those.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: The power of filmmaking and stuff. Man, this movie filled
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: in little spots for, I think, anybody who had a
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: father or didn't have a father. It fills in little pieces, right?
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: And I think that's what art does for people, man.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: I think you're going to be able to do a
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: lot of that for people in the future if you want, man.
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: Oh, thanks, man. It's also so exact.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: It's so good.
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: Do you have a movie like that where you're like,
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: this is about me?
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: This is my dream. I kind of think like Family
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Man sometimes. That's a movie I love the most. Yeah,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: with Nicolas Cage. That holiday movie, the Christmas movie. And
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I don't even know why, but that's like the, and
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: then A League of Their Own about lesbianism or whatever
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: in the 40s or whatever.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: I love Zero Dark Thirty.

- 1:22:20Speaker 3: That I believe.
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: Someone said frequency sucks.
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: And he was like, I'm St. Pete Davis' life.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: It was some sort of a dispute in the parking lot,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: but it was a true story, and God bless him.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: And Randy Quaid, we almost had him. Me and Spade
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: wrote a movie, and we almost had Randy Quaid in it,

- 1:22:43Speaker 2: Yeah, what's going on?
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: He's on the run from the authorities?
