I I mean at the end of the day, that actually ended up helping me. Because Russell got P2. So that I'll take it. but it was pretty pretty wild how that ended on a on on a safety car. So we are back, though. We got Belgium. We got Spa. One of my favorite tracks. Probably a lot of people's favorites favorite tracks. And it's it's everything. Like this is long. It's got l obviously a lot of straights, it's got High speed, low speed, medium speed corners. This is like this tests the cars in so many different ways. I think we can peel, you know, back from a lot of stuff we've seen already this year that we can say, how is it gonna incorporate it here? But this is also a unique situation because we have this energizer bunny in the in these damn cars that we don't know how that's gonna truly impact, which we kind of do, but we don't. Like I think they're already projecting that they're gonna be three seconds slower than last year's car, which is absolutely wild. Three seconds slower. Three seconds slower. So yeah. and they are also I th I remember last year they did the C one, C three, C four, I think. So they're not doing that. It's just gonna be the C two, C three, C four. So it's gonna be a little bit of the softer compound. I don't think that's gonna make much of a difference here. and then yeah, I think weather spin obviously all over the board. You probably even have to wait till last minute. I don't know. Probably gonna be dry. Most most all sessions. If not, it'd probably be tomorrow is what they're projecting. So Yeah. I think that's covers everything that I have to talk about. I think from a upgrades perspective Mercedes is actually bringing a lot more like aero mechanical stuff that they're gonna bring. Nothing ab with the PU. may they are saying this is like the the big one for them. I actually have not kept up with the News today to see like have they actually brought all the things that they said they were gonna bring. However, they are very excited, at least Toto's very excited about it. So we'll see how that actually pushes them further up if if it does even do that. Ferrari, I think, isn't only bringing like track specific stuff. Red Bull, same thing. McLaren is bringing some new wings. and then of course, hot alert. Was it two hot alerts, but we'll s yeah, that's right with the both of Lando and Hajjar. They're taking penalties. So Hajjar is gonna start in the back because this is his what, like, second engine out of that he's taken in the last like month or something. I think he's a total of five as his fifth one. But either way, he was gonna they needed to they wanted to make this change. And I just didn't do it. And then of course at f five AM my time, the hot alert came out. So I was asleep. Now they've they've kind of caught on quick with this stuff. So yeah, I mean hey we'll we'll kind of start there. I mean a lot of us were able to get Piastri top six, at least. I got it at minus one sixty five. I think I don't know what others had odds for. Bet US li left their odds up. They're typically notorious about that right now. they have since shifted it. I think it's like now at It's 300s or something. and then Hajar, I think we could we're starting to catch wind. We're like, well, there's been rumors, and I'm looking around. I was where are the like there's one source, one source out of all. I was like, well, it is a reputable source. It was like the Italian or or French motorsports.com. I looked everywhere else and I was like, man, I am not seeing this anywhere else. And then, you know, I'm I'm glad I I was like, you know, I'm gonna go on Cal she. I think, you know, let's just see what it what it's at. And it was at th 3.95 top ten no. And I was like, ooh, now we're getting into territory where I sh should be taking something like that. So I took whatever order. Yeah, like that's the area I want because I still think he can easily get in the top ten. That is definitely not out of the question. He can get back. Darksideday: Yeah, I that's probably just about... f1capper: Past the donkeys, but at at the odds where it's at now, where I don't know what it's sitting at at this point, but if it's at like two point five plus one fifty or shorter, I don't know if I'd want to take that risk anymore. I think I'd be looking the other way. especially if you can get plus like or two to one or something like that for him to get top ten. Like that I I would be taking my chance on for sure. So Darksideday: Yeah, I think, because on, I don't know if people have got cowshit or whatever, on Betfair, Hajar's like minus 200. You can get a little bit of minus 200. think that's alright, to be honest, because... Top 10. Because usually they all get lapped, including the racing balls, so... Even like, once he gets back to the top six, so he's just been announced... f1capper: For top ten, yes. Darksideday: once he's like back of the grid on race day if it's like 1.6 or something I'll take it to be honest f1capper: Yeah, I mean, just in general, the pecking order has been very clear at this point. You know, you're gonna have Mr Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, and Red Bull top eight. They're just that's it. They're always gonna be in the top eight. after that Darksideday: And it's not Yuki, it's not Yuki and his donkey-ness last year. f1capper: Yeah, exactly. and then for all intents and purposes, out of that top eight, well, let's remove Hajar at this in this situation, you have seven drivers, any one of them could have a DNF, which is highly likely. And then you have Lando who's in the back. Well, he's gonna be ahead. What if something happens to him? So the you know on top of that then you have racing bulls, right? Racing bulls are not gonna Truly put up a fight, especially at a track like this, I think that you know, he will be able to get ahead. There's supposed the the car is obviously faster than than the racing bulls. So I think I would not take it at all at that point. I think if you can still get like a two to one on him, no. Yeah, sure. even I don't feel comfortable with with plus two ninety five, I still think that's gonna be just donated. Yeah. I I am definitely looking to go the other way. I think that he he he gets back into the top ten. So we'll see what it what that comes out to. Darksideday: Maybe three to one, we can get three to one, but it's probably not there anymore. And there may be more. is Spa. They all take their grid penalties here, so there might be more on the way. f1capper: Yeah. Yeah, because they know that it's a long track. It's not gonna be hard to make the pass. You can make the pass. You can use strategy to make your pass too. There's so many different ways. You can you can all you need just a car that's fast enough. So very interested to see. but yeah, let's that's what let me go back and make sure. So what I have right now is Piastri top six. And then there was a special on BetUS. I hate those specials. I think they're they're awful. Like, especially the way they price them, just everything about them. But I like to check them just in case. You never know. So I was checking it, and of course they have Lewis Hamilton top three combined with Piastri top six at plus four fifty. And I was like, Quickly doing my my math in my head and I was like, Well, that means that they would have to both be like for Lewis Hamilton top three, it'd have to be like a plus one fifty, let's just say, one twenty five, and then Piastri would be like a plus one twenty five, one fifty, somewhere around those range to get to to four fifty if you were to parlay them. And then if you actually do the parlay in current books right now It's nowhere near plus four fifty. It's in it's somewhere around like I don't know, plus one twenty-five, plus one fifty or something like that. So I took it. I took I didn't do a whole lot. I just just said, you know what, I'm gonna do it. I don't think that I think plus four fifty is is is is too long for that. Lewis Hamilton top three and Piastri top six. Plus four fifty. Yeah, I mean there's Darksideday: What was everything together again? Yeah. f1capper: Just purely odds, Darksideday: You got it right then. f1capper: just the way the the the price is right now. I don't I don't I think it hits, but I think Leclerc actually does better than than Hamilton this weekend. I think he's back. Darksideday: Lewis Hamilton's very short podium. f1capper: Yeah. Minus one forty on some pl some places. yeah, I'm I'm I don't know. I I think this weekend with Ferrari One thing that they're gonna have to their advantage is there's so many overtake zones. And if they have so many overtake zones, they've showed really good arrow efficiency, meaning that they can put as they can they can have flexibility in where they put down force when it comes to the non straights or those overtake zones. So Darksideday: Do they have one in the lap set to three? Do they have an overtake zone set to three? f1capper: Is what? Yeah, there's like five overtakes or something overtake zones or something like I I can't remember let me see. Darksideday: Thanks listening. f1capper: Yeah, I I Darksideday: Yeah, they do. f1capper: There's there's two there's two throughout like after turn first off you have it from the sh the point of of the start finish line to turn one then from turn one down to El Rouge then once you get past that's gonna like that's probably why they want to remove the Macarena wing is because they know that's gonna just fuck someone. Red Bull that is and then once you get past, once you get up the hill. Darksideday: dangerous. f1capper: You got another and this is long. That's a long ass overtake. That's probably the I would say the longest one in on the circuit right now. You don't have anything through sector two. That's just because it's all turns anyways. But then once you get to sector three, it's it's str you got overtake, go through the turn, overtake, into the the sh the sh cane, and then back through to the checkered. Like there's just so many overtake zones that Ferrari's actually not gonna be that bad here. I'm very curious to see how they're gonna match up against the advantage that Mercs have when it comes to their energy management. So I still think it's it's a Merc one two domination just because that advantage actually with the energy management might be a little bit more critical versus the aero efficiency advantage that Ferrari has. So but yeah, going back to this, I feel like Leclerc is kind of getting back to his form a little bit. he did make comments that he is feeling a little bit better on with the brakes. So I am definitely eyeing the pain, the pain train, like I always do. I got lucky last with Silverstone. He beat he beat out Lewis Hamilton and actually Darksideday: That wasn't lucky, it was easy. f1capper: I mean dumb yeah, it's true. But this is this is what I do, you know, when look when buy low on Leclerc, I've Darksideday: against that one to the most. We've in this game how long? We just always... Like there's there's a reason why we always go back to him, is because from a by low standpoint, it's it's very easy for us to be confident in him because yes, he bec he becomes a pumpkin and After midnight sometimes, but a lot of the times he he's actually he performs performs pretty well for us. So Darksideday: I mean he's under Doggie Evans vs Lewis Hamilton. What are doing? What are doing? f1capper: Yeah. I d I mean that's that's what I'm considering that as one of my my plays, for qualifying especially too. I don't know. I gotta go back and look. But I think when it comes to the race, the race pace advantage is very, very tight between both of them. But I am very tempted to just go qualifying and in race. Leclerc over over Lewis. What do you think? Darksideday: I don't know, I was thinking race just because I thought in Silverstone where Lewis is supposed to be some sort of magician, it got me easily. f1capper: Race. Darksideday: But don't know, you're right, if he probably doesn't do it in qualifying, he probably won't do it in the race. f1capper: Probably won't, but Put my money where my mouth is, do both. Maybe he does. Maybe he does it in one and he messes up in the other. I don't know. I don't know. another one I like. I think I d then this is w the same situation. I don't know which one I wanna take. But Bordoletto over Nico Hulkenberg. I think he's actually I think Gabe has been better than than Hulk on the race, what three out of last four races? He's becoming the man of the like here, I'll give you some little little bit of stats here. So in qual past five qualifying, and this goes back to Canada. So Canada 13th, Mexico not Mexico, Monaco 16th, and then Barcelona 12th, 12th, and then 11th. That was Bordoletto. And then in the race. I mean he got eighth in the last race, which was really, really good considering. And then he's been eleventh place every time, except for Canada thirteenth. Hulk, let's go to him qualifying. The last two races he's been thirteenth and fourteenth, Barcelona he was ninth, and in Monaco thirteenth, Canada eleventh. In the race, twenty-second, twelfth, twentieth, thirteenth, twelfth. He's just not been good off the start, or he has a DNF, which he's had a DNF in Barcelona and it looks like in in the last race. Or no, in the last race he got hit. I can't remember. So I think b Bordoletto is really finding his form right now. I I and I I'm ready to back him I think I'm gonna do it for the race. Darksideday: And know what, Cadillac's clearly faster than Aston Martin now, so they're not even in the conversation. f1capper: Well they're no no for sure. One hundred percent. One hundred percent. It like it's very I I mean, I know we joke around with caddies, but they used to be four seconds behind the pack. And I think I I saw some data where I was like, Well now they're just two and a half. I mean they're still far behind, but they're not they're not Aston Mart Martin level donkeys anymore. They're clearly ahead of the Aston Martins at this point. They're still far behind. Silverstone, he wasn't like terrible during qualifying, but in the race there was a problem with him. So I am concerned about that. But at the odds He was much better this yeah. He was much better. Darksideday: Although it was much quicker on the hards but then max was coming still. f1capper: I just don't like the odds on to to be honest with you, I I'd almost prefer the odds on Kimmy versus Russell. Like this is This should be if your car has pace, which it does for the Mercedes, they should be clearly miles ahead of everyone. This is why I'm like I'm I'm also wanna do the that's the one market I was looking at was the only over five second winning margin. Like if it it starts getting to a point where it's just gonna be those top two guys ahead, way ahead of everyone. Darksideday: That was definitely coming in Silverstone, for Kimmy, just broke his car. And I think part of the problem is that the odds are quite good for markers because they can't get off the line and then just stay ahead and just cruise to victory. f1capper: Yeah. Yeah. I think just in a track like this, like They have so many ways they can overtake. There's so many ways. Darksideday: That's why I think the in play market here, because the Mercedes are better on the harder compounds. So if it looks like somehow the Claire's going to victory, he's not.
