- 0:09Speaker 1: Yes, it's hell no, no, no, welcome to the nor
- 0:15Speaker 1: even a sham your host job shooter, and it is
- 0:17Speaker 1: right all day, which means our dear friend Cory Andrews
- 0:20Speaker 1: joined us. Hey Cory, are you there? I am here.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Good morning everyone, Current Nation Weekend Corey. Yes, I know
- 0:27Speaker 2: you're excited, aren't you.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I am excited. Some people are not that excited about it,
- 0:33Speaker 1: I think because there's such a big change that's going
- 0:35Speaker 1: to happen, and our whole lives has been about Queen Elizabeth,
- 0:39Speaker 1: so it's hard to have a new person step into
- 0:42Speaker 1: those massive shoes. But I know once it starts tomorrow,
- 0:46Speaker 1: once we see the gold carriages and all the fabulous
- 0:50Speaker 1: people dressed up and the flags flying and we see
- 0:54Speaker 1: all the fashion, you know, Kate Middleton's going to bring it,
- 0:57Speaker 1: I think we'll get more into it. If you're not
- 1:00Speaker 1: already there, let's jump into the show. So we've got
- 1:01Speaker 1: a ton of details, lots of stuff about the coronation.
- 1:04Speaker 1: What time is it, my friends, it's tea time. So
- 1:07Speaker 1: literally tomorrow is the coronation and Great Britain's royal family
- 1:12Speaker 1: is really turning the page onto a new chapter. This
- 1:15Speaker 1: is a new chapter so the pomp, the pageantry, all
- 1:19Speaker 1: that stuff we love that goes back a thousand years.
- 1:22Speaker 1: This family has been around for a thousand years. They
- 1:26Speaker 1: will be crowning a new king. However, there's gonna be
- 1:30Speaker 1: a few new changes to the coronation that's going to
- 1:33Speaker 1: make it quite different from his mommy's coronation, which was
- 1:36Speaker 1: seventy years ago. It's going to take place at Westminster Abbey,
- 1:40Speaker 1: but it's going to be a little bit more toned down. Now,
- 1:42Speaker 1: don't worry, it's still going to be ridiculous RuPaul drag
- 1:46Speaker 1: queen over the top of fabulousness. I mean, they know
- 1:49Speaker 1: how to put on a show. So then I'm going
- 1:51Speaker 1: to be wearing sweatpants and T shirts. So it will
- 1:54Speaker 1: be calmed down a little bit, but it's still gonna
- 1:56Speaker 1: be glorious. Let me just go over some details tomorrow.
- 2:00Speaker 1: It starts at eleven am London time. Eleven am is
- 2:04Speaker 1: when the coronation starts at the abbey, which is six
- 2:07Speaker 1: am New York times, so it's early here in the States,
- 2:11Speaker 1: isn't it now. I do remember though, Before the coronation
- 2:15Speaker 1: there's a procession from Buckingham Palace to the abbey, so
- 2:19Speaker 1: if you want to see that, you really should think
- 2:21Speaker 1: about getting up at five. So my inside has telling
- 2:24Speaker 1: me they're going to be leaving the palace at about
- 2:27Speaker 1: ten thirty local time, which is five thirty. I know, Corey, Yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 1: you miss that part. I'll bring you up to speed
- 2:35Speaker 1: on that. The service is going to last about two hours.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Charles and Camilla then will travel back after the service,
- 2:44Speaker 1: back to Buckingham Palace. Well, they'll get on that balcony
- 2:47Speaker 1: and they'll waive and hopefully there'll be thousands and thousands
- 2:50Speaker 1: of people in the streets. They're a little worried about that.
- 2:53Speaker 1: For the Queen, her procession was five miles and it
- 2:57Speaker 1: was passed millions of people, Charles down to just the
- 3:00Speaker 1: mile and mindsight has told me it's because they're frightened
- 3:03Speaker 1: that not enough people are going to come out to
- 3:05Speaker 1: fill five miles worth of processions, so they're going to
- 3:09Speaker 1: make it a little bit shorter. People have been asking,
- 3:11Speaker 1: and this is a good question. Charles is already the king,
- 3:14Speaker 1: so the moment his mommy passed away on September eighth,
- 3:18Speaker 1: he became the king. Immediately, within seconds, he became the king.
- 3:21Speaker 1: So what is all this about? It's more ceremonial. It's
- 3:25Speaker 1: like a religious service. And back hundreds of years ago,
- 3:29Speaker 1: before we had twitter or email or even televisions, they
- 3:33Speaker 1: wanted a big, ridiculous, over the top ceremony to show
- 3:37Speaker 1: the whole nation that he was the king. So technically
- 3:40Speaker 1: he is the king. Tomorrow he will have this big
- 3:44Speaker 1: ceremony and it is a religious element because when you
- 3:47Speaker 1: become the King of England, you also become the head
- 3:50Speaker 1: of the Church of Ingest and so that's why it's
- 3:53Speaker 1: going to be very religious. He'll have the crown put
- 3:56Speaker 1: on his head for the very first time. Various monarchs
- 3:59Speaker 1: have views this since the eleventh century, and this is
- 4:03Speaker 1: gonna be, I think, a day of history. Even if
- 4:05Speaker 1: he's not your favorite, I do get it. He's gonna
- 4:08Speaker 1: be the oldest king ever crowned in Britain. I think
- 4:12Speaker 1: if you're not that excited about him, it's gonna still
- 4:14Speaker 1: be a day of British history. Where are you on this,
- 4:17Speaker 1: Corey excited? Not into it? Where are you?
- 4:19Speaker 2: I am not over the top excited, but I agree
- 4:23Speaker 2: it is history and it is very interesting. I've been
- 4:25Speaker 2: reading a lot about it, and of course the part
- 4:28Speaker 2: you just mention is really fascinating. The anointing aspect, which
- 4:32Speaker 2: is where this whole ceremony happens, where you know, he becomes,
- 4:35Speaker 2: like I think, I said, a conduit from God to
- 4:39Speaker 2: that right as an anointed being, which I thought was
- 4:42Speaker 2: really like over the top in a way, but also
- 4:44Speaker 2: very interesting. So yeah, I think it's fascinating. I know
- 4:48Speaker 2: there's also a younger generation that is questioning the monarch's relevance,
- 4:52Speaker 2: but I have to say also I've found out that
- 4:54Speaker 2: Charles or the royalty there they do participate in legislation.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I thought they did not. They do have a purpose.
- 5:01Speaker 1: They have an influence, so they have no technical role,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but they are like a megaphone. If they want to
- 5:08Speaker 1: push something through or help a government, they certainly can.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So they are hugely influential. That's where all their power
- 5:16Speaker 1: comes from, which is why tomorrow is such a big deal.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Because if people don't care about this family anymore, they
- 5:22Speaker 1: don't have any purpose, they go away, and so they
- 5:25Speaker 1: want to pull people in. It's really tricky, isn't it,
- 5:28Speaker 1: Because over the last seventy years that the queen has
- 5:31Speaker 1: been on the throne, we've questioned things as a society
- 5:34Speaker 1: I think that's a good thing. I think it's good
- 5:37Speaker 1: that we are questioning things today that we didn't seventy
- 5:40Speaker 1: years ago. My mom and dad would never have even
- 5:42Speaker 1: thought about this, but.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Now they are.
- 5:44Speaker 1: What did they do? Do we need them? Are they
- 5:47Speaker 1: worth the expense? And also, let's be honest to is
- 5:51Speaker 1: it a good example to set that we have to
- 5:54Speaker 1: bow down to somebody because of who they were born to.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I would bound down to Oprah Win three in a
- 6:00Speaker 1: minute because she's accomplished so much. But now Nelson Mandela,
- 6:05Speaker 1: these are people that we should be curtsying and bowing to,
- 6:08Speaker 1: not somebody who became the king because his mom was
- 6:12Speaker 1: Let's be honest too, that the Brits are upset that
- 6:14Speaker 1: this is going to cost them. This coronation, not the family,
- 6:17Speaker 1: not keeping the family just one day is going to
- 6:19Speaker 1: be over one hundred million pounds.
- 6:22Speaker 2: That's taxpayers, right.
- 6:23Speaker 1: The taxpayers money, so they are paying for this, and
- 6:26Speaker 1: I think it's a good question to have. I'm personally
- 6:29Speaker 1: going to put all that to one side tomorrow and
- 6:32Speaker 1: just enjoy the glorious day, and then we've got the
- 6:35Speaker 1: rest of his reign to think about it, to question this,
- 6:39Speaker 1: is it worth the money, What do they actually do.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Harry is going to be there, but he doesn't want
- 6:45Speaker 1: to be part of it. His disgraced brother, Prince Andrew
- 6:48Speaker 1: is going to be there. He really shouldn't be there.
- 6:51Speaker 1: This it's an embarrassment. So I think Charles, and I've
- 6:55Speaker 1: covered him a very long time, I think Charles is
- 6:58Speaker 1: actually really quite aware of all this. He's quite a philosopher.
- 7:02Speaker 1: He's very aware of public opinion, and he might even
- 7:06Speaker 1: find it a little bit ridiculous himself, Like he's the
- 7:08Speaker 1: first thing that's going to be wearing his military uniform
- 7:12Speaker 1: to be crowned. Other kings have we capes and silk stockings,
- 7:16Speaker 1: So his take definitely trying to take it down and notch.
- 7:20Speaker 1: The carriage that they're going to arrive in is not
- 7:22Speaker 1: going to be as old worldy as the one that
- 7:25Speaker 1: they used to use. They're trying to modernize it a
- 7:28Speaker 1: little bit. The problem is with modernizing this family, it's
- 7:32Speaker 1: the fundamental elements, the base of who this family is
- 7:36Speaker 1: is not modern at all. It harpens back to a
- 7:40Speaker 1: time that doesn't exist. Giving somebody all this power, all
- 7:44Speaker 1: this privilege just because they're a NEPO baby. I mean
- 7:48Speaker 1: that really is Charles is the ultimate NEPO baby.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Oh my good gosh, of course really is. I mean
- 7:54Speaker 2: he gets everything just because.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Just because, and he happens to be I've got to
- 7:58Speaker 1: point this out. Has to be a good, decent person.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I know people who know him. I even have a
- 8:03Speaker 1: friend who emails with him, and they say he's a
- 8:06Speaker 1: decent man. What would have happened if Andrew had been
- 8:09Speaker 1: the firstborn boy and would have been the king? So
- 8:13Speaker 1: I don't want to put a system. I don't want
- 8:16Speaker 1: to put an entire, entire institution in the hands of luck.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And we're okay if you get a good one, but
- 8:23Speaker 1: what would if we get a bad one?
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, rolling the dice absolute what you get,
- 8:28Speaker 2: and it has to be a better way.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Some would argue maybe too about Charles man though he's
- 8:33Speaker 2: sort of like a philosopher and socially conscious. But you know,
- 8:35Speaker 2: some would argue that people who love Diana would argue
- 8:38Speaker 2: that he might not be the best person. Yeah, the
- 8:41Speaker 2: best judgments are fair and honest.
- 8:42Speaker 1: So Harry would argue that. Harry would argue that he
- 8:45Speaker 1: is an adulterer. His father cheated on his mom with
- 8:48Speaker 1: the woman who's not going to be crowned queen.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I mean talk about scared or Jackie Carlins could not
- 8:53Speaker 2: have written his money, I mean written to Jackie. I
- 8:56Speaker 2: know Jackie is up there going. Why didn't I think
- 8:58Speaker 2: of that, darling?
- 9:00Speaker 1: It's amazing how and maybe we do this in our
- 9:03Speaker 1: own families too, as somebody who's had a scandalous past,
- 9:07Speaker 1: we just forget after a while. Let's not mention that
- 9:12Speaker 1: I found out recently that my mother's father, my grandfather,
- 9:15Speaker 1: went to prison. Nobody mentioned it, I know, just nobody
- 9:19Speaker 1: knows mentioned all those years.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Just it was.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Casually mentioned by an aunt. My jaw fell out. So
- 9:27Speaker 1: all families have secrets, but all families don't have the
- 9:31Speaker 1: privilege that this family has. So I get it. Families
- 9:35Speaker 1: should have secrets, It's part of life. We're sloppy people
- 9:38Speaker 1: were not robots. We're human beings, so we're definitely flawed.
- 9:42Speaker 1: But should we give all this power to one family?
- 9:47Speaker 1: I don't know. I think there might be a better
- 9:48Speaker 1: way of finding the king, but we're not going to
- 9:50Speaker 1: think about that tomorrow. We're going to think it's great.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Britain is turning a page tomorrow on the Royal family.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It's going to start at six am, actually about five
- 10:00Speaker 1: thirty am New York City time, Eastern Standard time. Will
- 10:04Speaker 1: you get up early and watch? You know I'm going to,
- 10:07Speaker 1: But will you get up early and watch?
- 10:10Speaker 2: At your job?
- 10:12Speaker 1: Naughty? Nice on facebook page said, but be sure to
- 10:16Speaker 1: check back on Monday to hate your results. Hey, Corey,
- 10:19Speaker 1: what are you working on?
- 10:20Speaker 2: Yes? Well, you know, switching to Entertainment Royalty. Jennifer Lopez
- 10:25Speaker 2: had the sweetest reaction when she she heard what Ben
- 10:28Speaker 2: Affleck thought she might most want to change about him now.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Affleck admitted recently on The Drew Barrymore Show that Lopez
- 10:34Speaker 2: would probably wish he was less talkative. You'll see, Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 2: he's a very chatty kathy that one. But she's never
- 10:41Speaker 2: said that to me, But that would be my guess,
- 10:43Speaker 2: he said. So. Lopez had the chance, though, to confirm
- 10:46Speaker 2: or deny Affleck's guests when she stopped by Today with
- 10:48Speaker 2: Hoda and Jenna this week, and it turns out she
- 10:51Speaker 2: loves her husband's chatty nature.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, she says.
- 10:54Speaker 2: He's probably more self conscious about it than I even
- 10:57Speaker 2: think about it. She says, I actually love listening to him.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I love it. He's so brilliant the way his mind works.
- 11:03Speaker 2: And he's such an artist. He's so creative. He's so
- 11:05Speaker 2: passionate about everything he does. He gets going and talking
- 11:08Speaker 2: and I'm just watching him like, oh god, he's so brilliant.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Oh now you know she's gushing. Of course, she's still
- 11:13Speaker 2: in love with her Ben. She did burst out laughing
- 11:16Speaker 2: when she first heard what Affleck said about her, and
- 11:18Speaker 2: admitted that he can be verbose. She said, you know what,
- 11:21Speaker 2: he's a writer and words are like his thing. So
- 11:24Speaker 2: he does, he goes on, he talks. She said, I'm
- 11:26Speaker 2: the opposite. I'm like in a way, a very few words,
- 11:28Speaker 2: and I'm not a chit chatter in that way. It's
- 11:30Speaker 2: not you know, she says, I'm not like that. So
- 11:33Speaker 2: we're opposites. And I will say that Jennifer is also
- 11:35Speaker 2: very guarded. I mean we have mutual friends, and you
- 11:37Speaker 2: know her obviously she's guarded because I think things that
- 11:40Speaker 2: she said to who she thought were friends would make
- 11:43Speaker 2: it to the press and the tabloids. So she's very protections.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I used to work for her, as you know, and
- 11:49Speaker 1: so she has a very close innes Curtle. And when
- 11:51Speaker 1: you're in a car with her or even at dinner
- 11:53Speaker 1: with hers. She's not a chatty caddy. She's not the
- 11:55Speaker 1: center of attention. She's not one of those celebrities like
- 11:57Speaker 1: Eliza Minelli who's always on her housewife, who always has
- 12:01Speaker 1: to be the center of everything. She's quite quiet and
- 12:04Speaker 1: if you send her an email, you get a very
- 12:07Speaker 1: short response. At first, when I started working with her,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I thought it was a bit rude. I wanted her
- 12:12Speaker 1: to gosh. I wanted to be friends with Jalo, which
- 12:14Speaker 1: I wasn't. I worked for her. We were never friends.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I would love to have been, but she clearly did
- 12:19Speaker 1: not want that. And if you send her a question,
- 12:22Speaker 1: you get the answer yes, no. Never is very very decisive,
- 12:27Speaker 1: very short answers. The same with text in It's so interesting.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Ben is a chatty Catty's chatty chatty, which is not
- 12:35Speaker 1: her style. And I've learned that you have to meet
- 12:38Speaker 1: people where they are. My Bruce is not a chatty catty.
- 12:41Speaker 1: He's not. Bruce has very few words, and when he speaks,
- 12:45Speaker 1: it's very interesting. I love being around Bruce. I love
- 12:47Speaker 1: listening to him. But he doesn't rattle on like I do.
- 12:50Speaker 1: He doesn't feel the need to fill dead air.
- 12:55Speaker 2: That I love in that way. Joey's very you know Joey.
- 13:01Speaker 2: When he does target's interesting, it's engaging. He loves people.
- 13:05Speaker 2: But yeah, I'm the one that's like, I'm Liza.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like, where's my feather bower? I'll do it.
- 13:12Speaker 1: It's more than one person in the room. I'm like,
- 13:13Speaker 1: it's an audience. Yeah, it's calm it, dad. Okay, we
- 13:17Speaker 1: have an update about Jamie Jamie Fox's health. So Jamie
- 13:22Speaker 1: has spoken out and he's telling everybody that thank you
- 13:26Speaker 1: very much. I appreciate all the love and feeling blessed.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Kevin Hart is telling people that he hears he's getting better,
- 13:33Speaker 1: but there's a bombshell Lou Report today from page six
- 13:35Speaker 1: saying it's not true. He's not getting better. He's been
- 13:38Speaker 1: in hospital now for three weeks. This is serious. When
- 13:42Speaker 1: you go into hospital with a mystery illness, it's probably
- 13:45Speaker 1: not a mystery to the people in the hospital. Maybe
- 13:47Speaker 1: it is, but it's certainly a mystery to all Jamie's friends.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I hit the phones. Nobody knows what happened. He's fifty
- 13:53Speaker 1: five years old. It was an emergency, a medical emergency.
- 13:57Speaker 1: He has been gone now for three weeks, nobody has
- 14:00Speaker 1: spoken to him. And this is what makes friends really
- 14:02Speaker 1: suspicious that even though he broke his silence on Instagram,
- 14:06Speaker 1: friends are doubting that that was even him. They're saying
- 14:10Speaker 1: they've all texted him, they've all emailed him, and he
- 14:12Speaker 1: was very very good on text And one friend, a
- 14:14Speaker 1: real close friend, said to me, if he could post
- 14:16Speaker 1: that on Instagram, he would have returned to my text.
- 14:19Speaker 1: We're worried. So if you're well enough to post on Instagram,
- 14:22Speaker 1: you can text back your friends. I'm sure he's got
- 14:24Speaker 1: hundreds of messages in his inbox from friends who are
- 14:27Speaker 1: worried nobody's heard back from him. We don't want to
- 14:31Speaker 1: overstep this one because obviously it could be very very serious.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I think it is very very serious. But this is
- 14:37Speaker 1: not good, And as time passes by, more of these
- 14:40Speaker 1: stories are going to start popping up because people are curious,
- 14:44Speaker 1: and people really want to know what's going on because
- 14:46Speaker 1: they really want the best for Jamie. But I'm hearing
- 14:49Speaker 1: Corey that this is much to us. Then don't what
- 14:52Speaker 1: anybody's saying.
- 14:54Speaker 2: And you know, also with the public text, you know,
- 14:57Speaker 2: with celebrities, there's a whole machine in place that's trying
- 14:59Speaker 2: to break act their integrity because if they return to work,
- 15:03Speaker 2: there's an issue of insurance and health and if they're
- 15:05Speaker 2: able to complete a project in a film, so they're
- 15:08Speaker 2: very well. Could be a concerted effort by his team
- 15:11Speaker 2: to put up a facade that he is doing well
- 15:14Speaker 2: because it's tied to his livelihood career. Yeah, but he
- 15:18Speaker 2: might not be doing well. But gosh, I'm really hoping.
- 15:20Speaker 2: He's one of my favorites. I think he's wonderful, great,
- 15:23Speaker 2: he's great.
- 15:23Speaker 1: As somebody who has worked with a lot of celebrities
- 15:26Speaker 1: advis then put out statements. My advice to his team
- 15:29Speaker 1: is tell the truth at the moment. Don't worry about
- 15:31Speaker 1: his career, don't worry about insurance, worry about him.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Tell the truth.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Hey, we're going to take a quick break and we
- 15:37Speaker 1: will be right back. Welcome back to the NORDTHERN nine shooter.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I thaid, your friend call me Andrew.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Hey, Corey, let's get to the polls. Oh, that's share.
- 15:46Speaker 1: We tooked about Gwyneth Peltchow, who was comparing her exes
- 15:49Speaker 1: Ben After and Brad Pitt their sexual skills, what they're
- 15:53Speaker 1: like in bed. A question was would you rather sleep
- 15:57Speaker 1: with Brad or Ben. Let's have a look. Sixty picked
- 16:02Speaker 1: Brad really might pick Ben.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I think so I like I like that broad chin
- 16:08Speaker 2: and that dark hair. I think Ben for me. Ben
- 16:11Speaker 2: for me all the way.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Well, Brad's too pretty for me. It's too good.
- 16:15Speaker 2: We'd be fighting over the mayor of me and Burrell.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Don't forget to vote on today's pole. Get our Twitter
- 16:21Speaker 1: page at Nudie Naris Rabot Facebook page Norty Gosip and
- 16:24Speaker 1: make sure it's check back tomorrow to hear your results are.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Now it's time for yes.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Well Jennifer Lopez again, you know she has nothing but
- 16:35Speaker 2: good things to say about her husband, Ben Affleck, apparently
- 16:38Speaker 2: all the time, twenty four hours a day, but she
- 16:40Speaker 2: says this time that he's great at taking on the
- 16:42Speaker 2: role of stepdad of her two kids. While speaking to
- 16:45Speaker 2: Hoda on Today, she reaved about the Airstar, saying, well,
- 16:49Speaker 2: he's wonderful. He's a wonderful father and a father figure
- 16:52Speaker 2: to Max and Emmy as well, because he has his
- 16:55Speaker 2: own three beautiful children and then there's us. He's fantastic.
- 16:58Speaker 2: He really steps up to the challenge of what that
- 17:00Speaker 2: is and what that means, she continued, of Affleck, and
- 17:03Speaker 2: they love him. They love him, and they appreciate him.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Now.
- 17:06Speaker 2: She shares her twins, Emmy and Max fifteen years old
- 17:09Speaker 2: at this point with Mark Anthony, her previous husband. Along
- 17:13Speaker 2: with being a stepdad to Lopez's twins, Affleck is also
- 17:16Speaker 2: dad to three kids, Samuel, Violet and Sarah Fina fourteen
- 17:20Speaker 2: years old, whom he shares with ex Jennifer Garner. So
- 17:23Speaker 2: he's a busy step dad and a regular dad. So
- 17:26Speaker 2: he's like maybe father of the year possibly.
- 17:28Speaker 1: H Yeah, Yeah, I love this. They worked really hard
- 17:30Speaker 1: to make sure they blended their families. I was told
- 17:32Speaker 1: that they wanted to get married pretty much immediately, but
- 17:34Speaker 1: they said, let's just take a little bit of time
- 17:36Speaker 1: to sort of let the family adjust to this. So
- 17:38Speaker 1: they adjusted very quickly, Jen and Ben to being back
- 17:41Speaker 1: together as a couple, and it felt right immediately, but
- 17:44Speaker 1: they knew they just had to take their time. And
- 17:46Speaker 1: one of the reasons they're taking such a long time
- 17:48Speaker 1: to find a house is it's not just for the
- 17:51Speaker 1: two of them, it's for this big extended family, and
- 17:53Speaker 1: they want to make sure all the kids know each other.
- 17:56Speaker 1: They all like don't worry. They can all afford to
- 17:58Speaker 1: have their own bedroom. It's not like we're have to share,
- 18:02Speaker 1: so it's gonna be a massive, glorious has But they're
- 18:04Speaker 1: trying to figure out what the best location is so
- 18:06Speaker 1: they can see their mom, Jennifer Gardner, they can see
- 18:09Speaker 1: Mark Antony. Is it by their schools? So they're really
- 18:11Speaker 1: doing a good job on this one. You can knock
- 18:13Speaker 1: Jen and Ben a little bit, but you can't knock
- 18:15Speaker 1: them when it comes to parenting. They're the best and
- 18:18Speaker 1: nicest of the day. And now I know what is
- 18:19Speaker 1: the naughty naughty Whoopy Goldberg has reminded Alyssa on the view,
- 18:24Speaker 1: who's the boss? So Alyssay tried to move a heavy
- 18:27Speaker 1: conversation forward to a lighter topic, but quickly learned who
- 18:31Speaker 1: was the boss at the table, So she tried to
- 18:34Speaker 1: move it on, and Whoopy said no, no, no, wait,
- 18:37Speaker 1: wait wait, and then Whoopy looked at the ex White
- 18:40Speaker 1: House staffer squarely in the iron smiled before adding quote,
- 18:44Speaker 1: before you move us on, let's make sure that we've
- 18:48Speaker 1: exhausted this conversation. Whoopy is the moderator of this show. Ye,
- 18:54Speaker 1: Whoopy is the star of the show. Make no doubt
- 18:58Speaker 1: about it. They say they're a panel show, they say
- 19:00Speaker 1: they're an ensemble show. Within the panel, Within the ensemble,
- 19:06Speaker 1: there's a little bit of a hierarchy. And Whoop is
- 19:08Speaker 1: at the top of that tree. Dope. I mean it
- 19:12Speaker 1: was a little It was live TV. You could see Whoopy.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I have to I was reading about it, and I
- 19:19Speaker 2: was like, it's good, it's.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Good, and Alyssa back down immediately. Well, she's like the
- 19:24Speaker 1: junior member on the show. She's the person on the panel.
- 19:28Speaker 1: So Listen was like, oh, sorry, I jumped the gun there,
- 19:32Speaker 1: and wollop Be responded, that's okay, I gotcha a court.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Do it again. You're fired?
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yeah, get out. Okay, let's end with the moment you
- 19:43Speaker 1: gonna rub. The key to finding new friends is breaking
- 19:47Speaker 1: up old routine. So we've been talking a lot about
- 19:49Speaker 1: you all deserve we all deserve great friends. But it's
- 19:51Speaker 1: really hard to make friends at any age. It's hard
- 19:53Speaker 1: to make friends. When you're younger. It feels like it's
- 19:56Speaker 1: easier to make friends because your whole life is set
- 19:59Speaker 1: up to make friends, not by accident. You go to school,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you have playdates, you have your friends that you hang
- 20:04Speaker 1: out with after school. As you get older, all those
- 20:07Speaker 1: fabulous mechanisms go away. You're not going to school anymore.
- 20:11Speaker 1: So it's not that it gets harder, it's that your
- 20:14Speaker 1: world has changed. The way to make it easier is
- 20:17Speaker 1: to change your routines. You've got to get yourself in
- 20:20Speaker 1: an environment where you're going to meet people who have
- 20:23Speaker 1: similar interests. You've got to be around people that like
- 20:26Speaker 1: what you like. So join in clubs, join societies, go out.
- 20:31Speaker 1: I force myself and some nights I just want to
- 20:33Speaker 1: sit on the couch, but I force myself to go
- 20:36Speaker 1: to the theater. I love it. Members are so many
- 20:38Speaker 1: different clubs. I have so many different interests. That's where
- 20:41Speaker 1: you make friends. Making friends is not an accident. You
- 20:44Speaker 1: have to set yourself up to make new friends, and
- 20:47Speaker 1: the way that you do that is by meeting new people.
- 20:51Speaker 1: That is it for this week. Thank you so much
- 20:53Speaker 1: for listening to They Not Have Been Nice with Robin
