- 0:02Speaker 2: Well, what a great day we got going here, boys
- 0:04Speaker 2: and girls. 306 Monday afternoon. We're sitting with 75 degrees.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Just perfect weather for this time of the year. Comfortable
- 0:11Speaker 2: as far as the temperature is concerned. The sun is shining.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We don't have any rain. And it's just a glorious Monday.
- 0:17Speaker 2: And it's so good to be with you here on
- 0:19Speaker 2: NewsRadio 570 WQEN. Rockport Wealth Truth and Investing Program. Tonight's
- 0:24Speaker 2: from 6 to 7. So keep that in mind. Our
- 0:27Speaker 2: top secret number as always.
- 0:28Speaker 3: 330-729-9977.
- 0:29Speaker 2: 330-729-9977. We'll be the secret number for you to get
- 0:38Speaker 2: a hold of us here on NewsRadio 570. Hello? Hello there.
- 0:44Speaker 2: May I help you?
- 0:47Speaker 4: Yes, I'd like to order a pizza.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yes, okay.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Extra pepperoni.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Yes. Now, do you want to New York style or..
- 0:55Speaker 5: I'd love a deep dish, if you guys say.
- 0:58Speaker 4: A deep dish would be quite nice.
- 0:59Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:01Speaker 7: Normally I like.
- 1:03Speaker 4: The thin crust, but I'll go with the, if you
- 1:06Speaker 4: suggest the deep dish.
- 1:08Speaker 7: I think I'll get that.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Yes. Yes. And it's a guy like you better double
- 1:13Speaker 2: up on the pepperoni.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Welcome to Monday. It's JJ, the liberal. It was terrific.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I mean, you just had spectacular weather. I mean, when
- 1:26Speaker 2: you get a day like today, how can you have
- 1:28Speaker 2: a bad day?
- 1:29Speaker 4: No, you can't. I thought about you this weekend, and
- 1:36Speaker 4: my wife thinks very highly of you.
- 1:38Speaker 7: Well, that's good to hear.
- 1:40Speaker 4: You know that I do as well, but we just
- 1:43Speaker 4: talked about you.
- 1:45Speaker 2: What's going on over there?
- 1:48Speaker 4: This valley and people that are living here.
- 1:50Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:51Speaker 7: You should be proud of yourself.
- 1:53Speaker 2: What's going on in that Cornersburg area? What's going on
- 1:56Speaker 2: at that Cornersburg Sparkle over there, the shelves?
- 1:59Speaker 4: I'll tell you, that is my favorite bakery. They got
- 2:03Speaker 4: the best donuts and the best cakes. Actually, right up
- 2:07Speaker 4: the street from me where the old Rite Aid used
- 2:09Speaker 4: to be, they're going to put a Speedway, I think, in.
- 2:12Speaker 2: No, a Sheetz, I was told.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Yeah, we're not all happy about that.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's a beautiful building, and they're just going
- 2:19Speaker 2: to tear it down and put... We tear so much
- 2:22Speaker 2: stuff down, but I guess that's it. They're going to
- 2:24Speaker 2: put a guest.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a big business. Of course, it's right down
- 2:28Speaker 4: the street, so we're worried about a little bit of
- 2:30Speaker 4: the traffic. But nonetheless, that's kind of just boring about nothing.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, everybody keeps talking. Well, not everybody.
- 2:40Speaker 2: People in the area keep talking about how there's not
- 2:43Speaker 2: a lot of stuff on the shelves at the Sparkle
- 2:45Speaker 2: in Cornersburg anymore these days. And it's very..
- 2:49Speaker 4: I'm not interrupting my friend. I went there this morning.
- 2:51Speaker 4: I tried to get there as soon as I can
- 2:52Speaker 4: to get the donuts, and I unfortunately wasn't. I didn't
- 2:56Speaker 4: get there until about 10, 10, 30, and I walked
- 2:58Speaker 4: down where you walk in, you go straight in, you
- 3:00Speaker 4: get the pop, and the pay distance is up, and
- 3:04Speaker 4: it was... I thought somebody robbed the place.
- 3:07Speaker 8: Right.
- 3:07Speaker 9: It was..
- 3:08Speaker 2: You know, and I just kind of shook my head,
- 3:09Speaker 2: and I was like, it's... Well, you know, that's why
- 3:13Speaker 2: people always make all this speculation. Is this place going
- 3:15Speaker 2: to stay open or not? Well, that's why they're asking
- 3:17Speaker 2: the question, because... There's so many shelves that don't have
- 3:19Speaker 2: anything on it anymore.
- 3:22Speaker 4: It would be a shame, because especially with the, at
- 3:27Speaker 4: least in my case, the bakery, you know, it was
- 3:29Speaker 4: something that I..
- 3:30Speaker 9: I know you love the bakery, Fatso, but..
- 3:37Speaker 2: But, hey, let's be realistic. It's also competition in the business.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I mean, there's only so much money to go around.
- 3:44Speaker 2: And you open a big, beautiful store like the Meyers
- 3:47Speaker 2: store over there on Moaning Avenue. I mean, it's a
- 3:50Speaker 2: great store. I love going there when my wife says, hey,
- 3:52Speaker 2: I've got to go to Meyers. I'm the first guy
- 3:53Speaker 2: to jump up and say, I'll go with you. Then
- 3:55Speaker 2: she gets this grimace look on her face.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Yeah. You're like jumping up and down, ready to go.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 2: So, so it's, I, I enjoy going to the Myers, uh, Meyer,
- 4:05Speaker 2: I should say a grocery store, but, uh, you know,
- 4:08Speaker 2: so I'm sure that is, that has affected, uh, giant Eagle.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I'm sure that's affected sparkle and all the rest of them.
- 4:14Speaker 7: No more mom-and-pop stores anymore, Ron.
- 4:18Speaker 4: It's a real shame that that's gone by the wayside.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Did you happen to see, just as a side note,
- 4:24Speaker 2: that Rooney Brothers said that they were no longer going
- 4:27Speaker 2: to be closed on Sunday, that they were now going
- 4:30Speaker 2: to be open on Sundays?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Really?
- 4:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:33Speaker 4: The one right down the street from me?
- 4:35Speaker 3: Yes.
- 4:36Speaker 2: On Kirk Road. And again, they're going to. They would
- 4:38Speaker 2: always be closed on Sunday, which is kind of strange
- 4:41Speaker 2: because a lot of people could do shopping on Sunday
- 4:44Speaker 2: for groceries and that kind of stuff. So they announced
- 4:47Speaker 2: that they would be open on Sundays and would be
- 4:51Speaker 2: closed on holidays. So now they'll be open all the time.
- 4:56Speaker 2: In that business, you have to be. You've got to
- 4:57Speaker 2: be open when people– usually people do a lot of
- 4:59Speaker 2: shopping on the weekends. And if you're closed on Sunday,
- 5:02Speaker 2: you're just kind of conceding everything if you want to–
- 5:05Speaker 2: Stay viable. You have to be open on a Sunday.
- 5:08Speaker 2: So they announced that they were going to be open
- 5:10Speaker 2: on Sunday. This is all a grocery gossip that I
- 5:14Speaker 2: have just in my world. Why are the shelves empty
- 5:17Speaker 2: at the Cornersburg Sparkle? Rulie Brothers is going to be
- 5:20Speaker 2: open Sunday, and Ron loves Meyer. There you go.
- 5:23Speaker 4: How's that?
- 5:25Speaker 7: I love my bakery. I'm hoping that they stick around
- 5:29Speaker 7: because it's nice to have them over there. I like
- 5:33Speaker 7: the people there. As I've lived over here, I've met
- 5:37Speaker 7: and talked to them all the time, and they're just
- 5:38Speaker 7: good people, and I want to see them have their jobs.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Progress marches on. It's like Rite Aid. They build all
- 5:47Speaker 2: those stores, and they close down. But in essence, what
- 5:50Speaker 2: put them out of business was that settlement. where they
- 5:54Speaker 2: suit all the drug stores for filling prescriptions for opioids,
- 5:58Speaker 2: opiates and Oxycontin and that kind of stuff. It's like
- 6:02Speaker 2: if I came into a drugstore with a prescription, well,
- 6:04Speaker 2: you know, bring it in. They just email it now,
- 6:06Speaker 2: I guess, to your pharmacist and they didn't fill it.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I'd be saying, what the hell? What's this all about?
- 6:11Speaker 2: You're the pharmacist. Here's the prescription. Fill it. See you later.
- 6:14Speaker 2: And that's pretty much what they do. And this idea
- 6:16Speaker 2: that they sue the pharmacy because they filled some of
- 6:18Speaker 2: these prescriptions that were issued by doctors is just lunacy. Ultimately,
- 6:23Speaker 2: they say that's what put Rite Aid out of business.
- 6:26Speaker 7: Yeah, that's what I remember, Rich, a couple months ago,
- 6:30Speaker 7: more than a couple months ago, I remember him talking
- 6:32Speaker 7: about that. And that's, again, it's, you know, people, you know,
- 6:35Speaker 7: they got to, you know, I don't want to really
- 6:37Speaker 7: go there and that, but I, but no, when did that?
- 6:39Speaker 2: Now, wait a minute. Now, whose word are you going
- 6:43Speaker 2: to take on the right? I think mine or Rich,
- 6:45Speaker 2: the pharmacist.
- 6:46Speaker 7: Oh, I'm taking yours. I'm always picking you first, buddy.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I would reconsider that one.
- 6:54Speaker 7: They're smart. I've listened to Ted, especially Ted the Conservative, recently,
- 7:01Speaker 7: and I'm very impressed with him. He's a good guy.
- 7:06Speaker 7: I like him. Ted the Conservative?
- 7:09Speaker 2: Ted the Conservative is a really good... Listen, I enjoy
- 7:14Speaker 2: talking to Ted the Conservative. I enjoy his take on things.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And just like I do, J.J., the liberal, who always
- 7:20Speaker 2: starts the week off in a cheery note, J.J., as
- 7:24Speaker 2: we review all of the... Incidentally, gang, I can also announce,
- 7:29Speaker 2: since I'm covering all this retail stuff, they were cutting
- 7:32Speaker 2: the grass at the Southern Park Mall, all right, because
- 7:35Speaker 2: it was like a hayfield. Well, not a hayfield. It
- 7:38Speaker 2: just was getting out of here. It got cut one time,
- 7:42Speaker 2: and it had been a while since it was cut again,
- 7:43Speaker 2: but they cut it to... They cut it again down
- 7:46Speaker 2: at the mall, so it looks better for now. But
- 7:50Speaker 2: I'm sure it's an expensive undertaking. You know, everybody gets paid,
- 7:54Speaker 2: so if the mall doesn't have the money, they've got
- 7:56Speaker 2: to say, okay, we can't do this every week. It's
- 7:58Speaker 2: going to be every so often. and make the best
- 8:01Speaker 2: of it. I mean, everybody says, well, they should be, uh,
- 8:05Speaker 2: fixing the potholes in the parking lot. And I agree,
- 8:07Speaker 2: but I don't know what the economics of them all
- 8:09Speaker 2: are as far as.
- 8:10Speaker 7: Yeah, that's a good point.
- 8:11Speaker 2: How much I used to do.
- 8:12Speaker 7: A little till coating and stuff like that. And it's, uh,
- 8:14Speaker 7: you know, especially with the oil, you know, it's oil
- 8:16Speaker 7: based or, or, uh, You know, PetroBase there, and that's
- 8:21Speaker 7: something right now I couldn't imagine. Even shield coating a
- 8:23Speaker 7: driveway now where years ago it would be, you know,
- 8:26Speaker 7: maybe a driveway like mine, maybe $ 125 to do it.
- 8:29Speaker 7: Now it probably goes about $ 250. I don't know.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Well, you can do it yourself.
- 8:33Speaker 7: But it's still going to go high.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Here's the problem.
- 8:36Speaker 7: Before you throw me off the air.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yes.
- 8:38Speaker 7: You know, we... I'm a little bit, you know, I
- 8:42Speaker 7: don't want to, you know, again, I'm impressed with you
- 8:45Speaker 7: maintaining your support and still standing.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Oh, I'll say it again.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Let me just say it again. You give me the opportunity.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I think this situation Trump got in in the Middle
- 8:56Speaker 2: East with Iran is a gigantic mistake. Here's what one
- 9:00Speaker 2: of the things I was doing over the weekend. I
- 9:02Speaker 2: was reading these oil analysts and this Art Berman is
- 9:05Speaker 2: the guy's name. These are people to understand. I learned
- 9:08Speaker 2: more about oil than I've ever thought I would know.
- 9:11Speaker 2: As a matter of fact, there's light crude and there's
- 9:14Speaker 2: heavy crude. Did you know that, JJ? And the refineries
- 9:18Speaker 2: are set up. Diesel is made out of what's light
- 9:22Speaker 2: oil and heavy oil. You need heavy oil for that,
- 9:26Speaker 2: for diesel. Diesel comes from heavy crude, if you will.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And you get heavy crude from the Middle East, right?
- 9:35Speaker 2: You get it from Canada, like the tar sands and that.
- 9:41Speaker 2: So you get heavy crude from Canada. You get it
- 9:43Speaker 2: from the Middle East. And the refineries are all designed
- 9:46Speaker 2: to deal with heavy crude, and that's how you make diesel.
- 9:49Speaker 2: So you need heavy crude to make diesel and jet
- 9:52Speaker 2: fuel because you need diesel for shipping. You need diesel
- 9:57Speaker 2: for trucks and jet fuel, obviously. So that's what you
- 10:02Speaker 2: need is heavy crude. Most of the oil that we
- 10:04Speaker 2: get here, gang, in the United States, not most, I
- 10:08Speaker 2: think all of it, is light crude. So the refineries
- 10:12Speaker 2: aren't set up from.
- 10:13Speaker 7: The places you said or it's coming.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Light crude is coming from the United States. The problem
- 10:19Speaker 2: is our refineries aren't set up for light crude and
- 10:22Speaker 2: light crude is only good for really making gasoline for
- 10:25Speaker 2: the most part. That's just that's. That's what it's good for.
- 10:28Speaker 2: And the problem is a lot of refineries don't deal
- 10:31Speaker 2: with light crude. We import– listen to this– six million barrels,
- 10:36Speaker 2: I think, a day of oil from Canada. This idea
- 10:39Speaker 2: that we're energy independent when it comes to oil is nonsense.
- 10:43Speaker 2: We're not. We import a lot of oil, a lot
- 10:47Speaker 2: of it from Canada and the Persian Gulf or the
- 10:50Speaker 2: Middle East. Oil comes from that. And this Art Berman
- 10:55Speaker 2: was saying– that he thinks... I read Curry on Friday.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Remember on Friday's program, I read what that Curry said.
- 11:04Speaker 2: This Berman says he doesn't believe you'll ever recover from this. Basically,
- 11:10Speaker 2: he says..
- 11:10Speaker 7: As far as the gas prices and everything.
- 11:12Speaker 2: He says it's... Now, these guys are the oil experts.
- 11:16Speaker 2: He said this is total bullcrap. This idea that you
- 11:19Speaker 2: could turn a switch and everything's going to go back
- 11:21Speaker 2: to normal, it is not. When you shut oil wells down...
- 11:25Speaker 2: as they have to do.
- 11:26Speaker 7: It's the Democrats too that did that.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 2: But I mean, you shut the oil well down. It's
- 11:31Speaker 2: like turning the water off in your house. The guy said,
- 11:33Speaker 2: so when you turn the water back on, you know,
- 11:35Speaker 2: gurgles and blows air out of it.
- 11:36Speaker 7: You're getting that much clear through there.
- 11:39Speaker 2: He says, well, the same thing happens with oil because
- 11:42Speaker 2: it's in the ground. Only it can take months for
- 11:44Speaker 2: that to, to, to get going again. And sometimes it
- 11:48Speaker 2: doesn't get going again. But anyway, the bottom line was,
- 11:53Speaker 2: this guy was saying he thought you could see oil
- 11:55Speaker 2: at $ 160 to $ 180 a barrel. This idea of $ 90
- 11:57Speaker 2: a barrel oil is ridiculous. And so that's you're probably
- 12:04Speaker 2: going to see high gas prices. And this is something
- 12:07Speaker 2: that will not change like they're telling you in the
- 12:11Speaker 2: blink of an eye when they get a resolution here,
- 12:13Speaker 2: because too much of it is all messed up. The
- 12:16Speaker 2: whole the whole oil sector production and shipping and everything.
- 12:22Speaker 2: It's been damaged. And some of the damage it's done
- 12:25Speaker 2: is messed up. I mean, he said it's just totally
- 12:29Speaker 2: messed up, and it's just going to be crazy. Now,
- 12:32Speaker 2: his prediction, J.J. See, I'm doing all this on a
- 12:35Speaker 2: weekend when you're painting in the garage. His prediction is
- 12:38Speaker 2: July will be a terrible month. July is when the
- 12:42Speaker 2: crap will hit the fan.
- 12:43Speaker 7: Yeah, because when everybody wants to travel and they're going
- 12:45Speaker 7: to race.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Well, no, it's not. We're tapping the oil reserves and
- 12:48Speaker 2: this kind of stuff. And he just says, in July,
- 12:52Speaker 2: you'll see the beginnings of this kind of stuff.
- 12:55Speaker 7: Well, we're also going to see those two footbridge, or
- 12:57Speaker 7: the only one footbridge, because you'll be carrying me then, right?
- 12:59Speaker 7: I'll be able to have to use that again.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Biggie back ride, I'll be giving you. All right, man.
- 13:04Speaker 2: It's good hearing your voice. Take care of yourself, pal.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Good talking to you.
- 13:06Speaker 2: There you go.
- 13:07Speaker 3: J.J.
- 13:08Speaker 2: The liberal. I don't know. He kind of makes my day.
- 13:10Speaker 2: There you go. But this is what that Art Berman
- 13:14Speaker 2: was saying. And there's another guy, I think his name's Curry.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I mentioned him on Friday. These guys are like the
- 13:22Speaker 2: big gurus, and they're all saying the same thing. This
- 13:24Speaker 2: is unprecedented. The amount of damage done in the oil
- 13:29Speaker 2: area in the Middle East and... Just like the types
- 13:35Speaker 2: of oil. I mean, when you hear oil, you think, oh, oil.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Oil is oil. And he said, basically, oil is like alcohol.
- 13:43Speaker 2: You can say, well, alcohol is beer and alcohol is
- 13:47Speaker 2: Jack Daniels. They're not the same, but we call them,
- 13:51Speaker 2: they're all alcohol. And it's the same thing with oil. Well,
- 13:54Speaker 2: you know, you have light crude, which is not the
- 13:57Speaker 2: same as heavy crude. And that's where diesel comes from,
- 14:01Speaker 2: as I said. And so that's what you really need
- 14:03Speaker 2: because of trucks and shipping and jet fuel. And how
- 14:08Speaker 2: much damage has been done in the Middle East and
- 14:10Speaker 2: the wells, some of these wells being shut down. He
- 14:13Speaker 2: says it's a nightmare and it's going to be one
- 14:15Speaker 2: for quite some time. His comment was he doesn't think
- 14:18Speaker 2: it will ever go back to how it was. That's
- 14:22Speaker 2: how big a mistake he thinks this whole thing deal
- 14:25Speaker 2: with Trump doing was. He says he doesn't think you'll
- 14:29Speaker 2: ever go back to where it was. So I hope
- 14:34Speaker 2: he's wrong. But these guys are the experts in the field.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I mean, these are the big names in that field.
- 14:40Speaker 2: There's four of them. Curry, Berman, and I forget the
- 14:43Speaker 2: other two. And I haven't read enough from the other
- 14:46Speaker 2: two yet to hear what they have to say about
- 14:49Speaker 2: all this kind of stuff. But it is fascinating. And
- 14:53Speaker 2: where there could actually be some oil shortages in July.
- 14:55Speaker 2: How about that? Now you know what I remember off
- 15:00Speaker 2: the top of my head. I don't have my notes
- 15:02Speaker 2: in front of me. 321 in the afternoon. Ron Verb,
- 15:05Speaker 2: News Radio 570, WDQN. You're on the air.
- 15:09Speaker 9: Ron, what a load of crap. You are the worst
- 15:13Speaker 9: student I ever had. That's not why I called you,
- 15:16Speaker 9: but I'm calling you to tell you this. I told you.
- 15:19Speaker 9: When we invaded Venezuela, they were talking about all this oil.
- 15:22Speaker 9: I told you that was dirty oil down there. We
- 15:25Speaker 9: don't have the refineries for it.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Oh, no, hang on. That's another thing. Venezuela does have
- 15:29Speaker 2: some heavy crude there as well. That's a small part
- 15:34Speaker 2: of heavy crude. The majority of oil in the United
- 15:38Speaker 2: States we don't have refineries for. That is light crude.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Stand by. Stand by, Emmanuel. He's upset with me. Manuel
- 15:46Speaker 2: thinks I'm not a good student. We'll find out why
- 15:49Speaker 2: right after this.
- 15:51Speaker 10: And your fearless leader, Ron Furb from the Kingdom of
- 15:57Speaker 10: Mahoning here at 325 in the afternoon.
- 15:59Speaker 2: All right. So this is the United States oil mainly
- 16:05Speaker 2: is what they call light crude. So you can't get
- 16:07Speaker 2: diesel from light crude.
- 16:11Speaker 9: Ron, you missed the whole point. We don't have the
- 16:13Speaker 9: refineries to handle that.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:14Speaker 9: It's not about the oil. It's about the refineries. But
- 16:16Speaker 9: that's not why I called you. I called you to
- 16:19Speaker 9: give you risk to pharmacists, Ted the conservative.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:26Speaker 9: And a couple of, oh yeah, Boss Lady.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:31Speaker 9: And Bubba Ganuch.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yes.
- 16:32Speaker 9: I want to give both y'all a quick pop quiz.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Two questions.
- 16:37Speaker 6: Yes.
- 16:38Speaker 9: The first question is, If a Democrat found a cure
- 16:46Speaker 9: for cancer, would you support him?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Absolutely. Listen, I would support a Democrat if they were
- 16:57Speaker 2: doing a great job. It doesn't matter to me. I'm
- 16:59Speaker 2: an American first. And if you're doing a great and
- 17:02Speaker 2: outstanding job, I'm going to support you. And if you're
- 17:07Speaker 2: a lousy Republican, I'm not going to support you. How's
- 17:11Speaker 2: that sound? I mean, I'm looking for performance.
- 17:15Speaker 9: The second question for the class is this.
- 17:17Speaker 11: Yes.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Attention, boys and girls. Emanuel now wants to address the
- 17:21Speaker 2: class with the second question.
- 17:24Speaker 9: Especially the boss lady.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yes.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I hope she's listening. I hope she is, too.
- 17:28Speaker 9: I'm sitting here watching a commercial.
- 17:31Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 17:32Speaker 9: And this lady says that she was abused while she
- 17:36Speaker 9: was growing up.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:38Speaker 3: And a politician..
- 17:40Speaker 9: Took money from the Epstein class, and then voted for
- 17:48Speaker 9: not to have the Epstein files released, right? My question,
- 17:51Speaker 9: especially to the boss lady, right? How can you support
- 17:55Speaker 9: somebody like that?
- 17:58Speaker 2: How can you support somebody that doesn't release the Epstein files?
- 18:03Speaker 9: Yeah, well, what's the guy? The guy's running for, what,
- 18:05Speaker 9: senator or something like that? The guy's running against Sherrod.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Brown, right? Oh, you can answer that question, Houston. Well, no,
- 18:12Speaker 2: he took a campaign contribution, but he supposedly returned that
- 18:16Speaker 2: campaign contribution. I can answer that question. I will vote
- 18:20Speaker 2: for John Houston because Sherrod Brown is a lunatic. He's
- 18:23Speaker 2: a far-left... progressive liberal that sided with every wacky ass
- 18:29Speaker 2: thing that Joe Biden supported, like an open border, like
- 18:33Speaker 2: men can have babies and all this other nonsense. He
- 18:36Speaker 2: supported all of that. I won't vote for a lunatic
- 18:38Speaker 2: like that. I'll go with Houston. Sometimes it's a lesser
- 18:41Speaker 2: of two evils. And I'll vote for Houston in a
- 18:44Speaker 2: heartbeat than any of these wacky ass Democrats that you support.
- 18:49Speaker 9: So you don't think— I'm telling you exactly what I think.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'm telling you that the Democrats with men can have babies.
- 18:57Speaker 2: We've got to embrace this transgenderism nonsense. And we've got
- 19:00Speaker 2: to have DEI and all the other ridiculous crap that
- 19:04Speaker 2: they spew. I will never support that ever. And Sherrod
- 19:08Speaker 2: Brown believes in all of that. Sherrod Brown is a
- 19:11Speaker 2: Joe Biden clone, and I've had more than enough of
- 19:14Speaker 2: Joe Biden and anybody that supported that nonsense. That's what
- 19:17Speaker 2: I'm saying to you.
- 19:19Speaker 9: According to you guys, right?
- 19:20Speaker 2: That's according to Ron. I gave you the world according
- 19:23Speaker 2: to Ron. Wait a minute.
- 19:24Speaker 4: I ain't done with you yet.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I'm done with you. I'll be right back.
- 19:30Speaker 10: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Back to us at 336 here in the afternoon on
- 19:35Speaker 2: News Radio 570 WKBN. And Ron Verb, you're on air.
- 19:42Speaker 13: So, remember the Karen Carpenter lady?
- 19:47Speaker 2: We've only just begun. A kiss for luck and we're
- 19:50Speaker 2: on our way. That Karen Carpenter?
- 19:54Speaker 13: Yeah, I guess, probably. She sings a lot of Christmas songs,
- 19:56Speaker 13: I know that.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Rainy days and Mondays always bring me down.
- 20:00Speaker 13: She doesn't sing much anymore.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Just like me, they long to be close to you.
- 20:06Speaker 13: See, what happened was she had this problem in her head,
- 20:11Speaker 13: and she thought.
- 20:12Speaker 6: She was fat. Yes.
- 20:14Speaker 3: But she wasn't.
- 20:16Speaker 13: And it was whatever, back in the 70s, we didn't
- 20:21Speaker 13: know much about anorexia, bulimia, all the mess that goes
- 20:25Speaker 13: with that. And the poor lady died. But she thought something...
- 20:34Speaker 13: But she was mistaken of what she thought. It's like
- 20:36Speaker 13: the transgender people today, right? We would be doing to
- 20:41Speaker 13: them if we said, oh, okay, Billy, you're really a girl?
- 20:45Speaker 13: You think you're a girl? Okay, you're a girl, right?
- 20:49Speaker 13: It just doesn't work. It's just wrong. You're not helping
- 20:53Speaker 13: the people by going on with their insanity, right? The
- 20:57Speaker 13: whole transgender issue is just, you know, I know you
- 21:03Speaker 13: say they're weirdos and it's bizarre, and it is. It's
- 21:07Speaker 13: a mental illness, and you've got to put a stop
- 21:10Speaker 13: to it. But you were talking with the previous Democrat callers,
- 21:18Speaker 13: and yeah, it's really hard to be on that ship
- 21:22Speaker 13: with the rest of the Democrats when you know not
- 21:26Speaker 13: only the people are just going along with it because
- 21:28Speaker 13: they're weirdos, and then the other ones are grooming and
- 21:31Speaker 13: molesting children. I don't know. I think Ron would say
- 21:36Speaker 13: that's not good. But even if your guy doesn't do it,
- 21:40Speaker 13: the guy that Your support does it, right? Sherrod Brown,
- 21:45Speaker 13: if it's not him, it's Kamala Harris. Yes, we should
- 21:49Speaker 13: pay for men's abortions in jail, too. Okay? Okay, I
- 21:53Speaker 13: don't know what you're talking about. You're insane.
- 21:55Speaker 3: But the whole.
- 21:56Speaker 13: Issue is just ridiculous and a non-starter. Right? We're so
- 22:00Speaker 13: divided in this country. Yes, because one party believes in this,
- 22:05Speaker 13: and it's wrong, and it's insane, and the people are
- 22:08Speaker 13: dealing with mental illness, and you're only making it worse
- 22:11Speaker 13: for them. You're pushing them down the road that's probably
- 22:15Speaker 13: going to lead to an early death. You're pushing surgery
- 22:21Speaker 13: and drugs that are irreversible.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Okay?
- 22:26Speaker 13: Is that good for a 15-year-old? Well, you don't let
- 22:28Speaker 13: them drive or buy cigarettes or vote. But, yeah, they
- 22:32Speaker 13: can say that they're a boy or a girl when
- 22:35Speaker 13: they're not and get the surgery. Super, super terrific. Sounds
- 22:40Speaker 13: like a great plan, Democrats. Appreciate it.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Keep it up.
- 22:43Speaker 13: You wonder why people don't vote for you. And you
- 22:46Speaker 13: wonder why people talk about it because it's this big,
- 22:50Speaker 13: giant issue that's hurting people. Not only children, but adults, too, right?
- 22:55Speaker 13: The families, you're in the wrong place. You're in California,
- 22:58Speaker 13: and take your kids away because Billy said he's now Katie.
- 23:03Speaker 13: It's just wrong, and we can't do it. So another analogy,
- 23:10Speaker 13: like the Karen Carpenter, let's use Ron's lovely and talented wife.
- 23:16Speaker 13: They're going to their daughter's wedding, but Ron had to
- 23:18Speaker 13: leave early, so he drove his car and went there
- 23:22Speaker 13: and tied the bows on the back of the chairs
- 23:24Speaker 13: like the ladies do at the weddings and the venues
- 23:27Speaker 13: and such. And your wife was getting ready, so she
- 23:31Speaker 13: left later. She gets a flat tire. Oh, man, she's
- 23:35Speaker 13: all dressed to the nines. She's in makeup style and everything.
- 23:39Speaker 13: It's 4 million degrees in Florida. You can't get out
- 23:42Speaker 13: and change a tire, right? And she calls Ron, and
- 23:47Speaker 13: she's like, oh, well, I'm just going to get the AAA.
- 23:50Speaker 13: And Ron's like, oh, that AAA, I didn't get that
- 23:54Speaker 13: last year. It costs $ 25 a year. You can't spend
- 23:57Speaker 13: that kind of money. And she says, well, I'll just
- 23:59Speaker 13: let this nice citizen passing by. He said he'd offer
- 24:04Speaker 13: to change the tire. And Ron says, no, that's not happening.
- 24:10Speaker 13: I really need you to change the tire. And she's like, well,
- 24:14Speaker 13: I get this can of fix-a-flat, and Ron says, no,
- 24:17Speaker 13: you can't put fix-a-flat in a tire. You know what
- 24:18Speaker 13: they say? When you get back to the Flynn's Tire later,
- 24:22Speaker 13: you can't use that stuff. I think your wife is
- 24:27Speaker 13: like Donald Trump, okay? This whole Epstein thing, everyone in
- 24:33Speaker 13: the world was involved with it.
- 24:35Speaker 11: Everyone.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Everyone.
- 24:38Speaker 13: And, like, we're kind of at the end of it now, right?
- 24:42Speaker 13: There was Clinton, there was Bushes, there was Obamas, there
- 24:45Speaker 13: was Biden. Everybody's got their hand in it. And nobody
- 24:49Speaker 13: did nothing, but Ron wants to... Only Trump can do this.
- 24:56Speaker 13: Because even Ted last week or whatever was like, Ron,
- 25:00Speaker 13: why can't Thomas Massey go and do this? Why can't
- 25:05Speaker 13: Marjorie Taylor Greene.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Go and do this?
- 25:07Speaker 13: No, no, no. What about Trump? And I'm like, dude,
- 25:12Speaker 13: your wife's all dressed up in a dress. Let somebody
- 25:14Speaker 13: else change the tire. And it doesn't matter. I just
- 25:18Speaker 13: want the tire fixed, right? I just want the tire fixed.
- 25:22Speaker 13: I just want the Epstein thing fixed. But why can't
- 25:26Speaker 13: Thomas Massey do it? He's the tough guy, you know,
- 25:30Speaker 13: blowing up his chest and running around. NTG is running
- 25:33Speaker 13: around with the supposed victims. Can you take them to
- 25:39Speaker 13: a lawyer? Can you take them to the police station?
- 25:42Speaker 13: Can you do something? Why does it run? My question
- 25:46Speaker 13: to you is, why does your wife have to change
- 25:48Speaker 13: the tire? Or why does Donald Trump have to be
- 25:50Speaker 13: the one to fix the Epstein thing? Why can't somebody
- 25:56Speaker 13: else do something?
- 25:59Speaker 2: Well, what do they say? The buck stops there?
- 26:03Speaker 13: Was that Truman?
- 26:05Speaker 2: I think that was Dan Ryan used to say that.
- 26:09Speaker 7: Not in, but across from Eastwood Mall and Miles.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Yes, there you.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Go.
- 26:18Speaker 13: Who doesn't love Godson's furniture?
- 26:22Speaker 2: God, you've got a good memory. Oh, Lord. But listen,
- 26:29Speaker 2: I don't care who it is. The Epstein files, all
- 26:31Speaker 2: of it should be released. And like I said, they
- 26:34Speaker 2: won't be because there's a two-tier system of justice, and
- 26:38Speaker 2: that's wrong.
- 26:41Speaker 13: I'm saying why doesn't Thomas Massey get them a lawyer
- 26:46Speaker 13: and say, hey, we're putting a FOIA request on these files,
- 26:50Speaker 13: whatever they might be. Because, again, just to remind everybody,
- 26:56Speaker 13: this happened under Clinton being president, under Bush being president,
- 27:03Speaker 13: under Jeb Bush being governor. Go to Obama. Go to
- 27:07Speaker 13: Biden being vice president. All the attorney generals before. And
- 27:12Speaker 13: it took all the way to Donald J. Trump to
- 27:16Speaker 13: send Epstein to jail. And the other one's in jail, right?
- 27:21Speaker 13: Never was before. Here they are now. What did they
- 27:24Speaker 13: get before? Okay, you got home arrest, but it's not
- 27:28Speaker 13: really arrest, and you're not even getting a leg iron,
- 27:32Speaker 13: and you can come and go as you please. Wait, wait,
- 27:36Speaker 13: so you didn't give them anything before in 2007? He
- 27:39Speaker 13: can just do whatever he wants? And Trump's people sent
- 27:43Speaker 13: him to jail? Okay, sent him to prison? Same with
- 27:47Speaker 13: the Maxwell lady? They're in jail. He did more than
- 27:53Speaker 13: anybody else did. I'm asking, like Ted was trying to
- 28:00Speaker 13: get from you the other day, why can't MPG do it?
- 28:03Speaker 13: Why can't Massey do it? They both quit.
- 28:07Speaker 9: They both got out.
- 28:09Speaker 13: Massey wasn't suicidal. I kind of want suicide from Massey.
- 28:12Speaker 13: But what I'm saying is do something now. If I
- 28:18Speaker 13: was the one, right, if it was Trump with the border,
- 28:22Speaker 13: good grief, if he came in and didn't do anything eventually,
- 28:26Speaker 13: which he did, and, you know, I'm looking at all
- 28:30Speaker 13: the things he's doing, and, you know, hey, can somebody
- 28:35Speaker 13: else pick up this ball and run with it? Obviously not. Obviously,
- 28:39Speaker 13: you don't want to. Obviously, I don't know, you're busy
- 28:43Speaker 13: doing something else. I just don't see why somebody else
- 28:48Speaker 13: can't do something. He's the only one that did anything.
- 28:55Speaker 13: I want him to do the things he's doing. I
- 28:59Speaker 13: want him to get those done. Those two people, one's dead,
- 29:05Speaker 13: one's in jail. There's statute of limitations that have run out.
- 29:11Speaker 13: Not you, but these other blowhards, the MPG, pointed out
- 29:17Speaker 13: that the statute of limitations has run out, pointed out
- 29:21Speaker 13: that there's millions of dollars that have been paid out
- 29:24Speaker 13: from the Epstein estate to the victims. It's not like
- 29:29Speaker 13: nothing has happened.
- 29:30Speaker 4: A lot has happened.
- 29:32Speaker 13: If you want to finish it, go ahead. But I
- 29:36Speaker 13: don't need to hear about you people anymore.
- 29:39Speaker 14: Right?
- 29:41Speaker 13: It just, I don't get it.
- 29:43Speaker 3: I don't get it.
- 29:44Speaker 13: And I don't get, the only one I can ask
- 29:47Speaker 13: is you, because Thomas Massey's busy doing something. I mean,
- 29:52Speaker 13: not helping the victims, but he's probably doing something maybe.
- 29:56Speaker 13: But Ron, why can't it be them? That would make
- 30:02Speaker 13: them better in my eyes.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Well, because there's one person who's president who really has
- 30:08Speaker 2: the power, who has the power over the attorney general,
- 30:12Speaker 2: and is the president of the United States. The president
- 30:14Speaker 2: has way more power than a congressperson has. So the
- 30:19Speaker 2: presidents can order things and get things accomplished. I mean,
- 30:22Speaker 2: a fair question would be, why didn't Joe Biden do it?
- 30:25Speaker 2: Why didn't... Trump do it. You could even go back
- 30:31Speaker 2: to Obama. I mean, if you take, I'll go back
- 30:34Speaker 2: to this. Listen, with everything that you're just saying, Trump
- 30:38Speaker 2: reversed himself. And the bottom line is, I don't think
- 30:43Speaker 2: you're ever going to find out the truth in this.
- 30:46Speaker 2: And I'll say it again. This is really about the
- 30:47Speaker 2: victims here. The victims are the ones that deserve the justice.
- 30:52Speaker 2: And this was an intelligence operation. Epstein was created. I
- 30:58Speaker 2: believe it has ties to Israel. And I don't know
- 31:02Speaker 2: who has all of the information that's holding it over
- 31:05Speaker 2: everybody's head to manipulate, whether that's politicians or influential or
- 31:09Speaker 2: rich business people. But however you want to stack this up,
- 31:14Speaker 2: it was basically about having minor children, underage girls having
- 31:18Speaker 2: sex with grown adult men. And I don't know how
- 31:21Speaker 2: you stack that up other than to say that that's
- 31:23Speaker 2: just vile and disgusting that an intelligence community operation would
- 31:27Speaker 2: be involved in such a thing to begin with. It's
- 31:30Speaker 2: also disturbing that the so-called videotapes or whatever you call it, files,
- 31:39Speaker 2: if you will, over who was involved in this, who
- 31:42Speaker 2: has that information? Because who's holding that power over people's
- 31:46Speaker 2: heads to say, unless you do this, we'll release this,
- 31:51Speaker 2: whatever this video is? Or whatever. After all, look at Gates'
- 31:57Speaker 2: wife left him when he was involved with Epstein and
- 32:00Speaker 2: divorced him. And now Gates is finally, you read all
- 32:04Speaker 2: this crazy stuff, was trying to slip his wife some
- 32:07Speaker 2: drug for VD because he was afraid he was giving
- 32:10Speaker 2: her that. Now he claims, oh, I was just having
- 32:12Speaker 2: sex with prostitutes or whatever. I mean, it's just some
- 32:16Speaker 2: of this stuff is ridiculous. So, I mean, so you had,
- 32:20Speaker 2: you have people who think they're above everything. They think that,
- 32:26Speaker 2: I mean, the mentality of it to say they're going
- 32:29Speaker 2: to go have sex with a 14-year-old girl. The whole
- 32:31Speaker 2: thought of it is sickening. And the reality is, I
- 32:34Speaker 2: don't think you're going to see anybody held accountable for it.
- 32:38Speaker 2: When Epstein was tried the first time, it was ridiculous
- 32:42Speaker 2: how he was treated. treated uh in in that situation
- 32:46Speaker 2: basically somehow.
- 32:48Speaker 13: They not trump.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Right right this is before trump but uh obviously the
- 32:55Speaker 2: orders came down and from the high mountain the mountaintop
- 33:00Speaker 2: and they looked the other way on this stuff hell
- 33:02Speaker 2: he would come and go in jail as he pleases
- 33:03Speaker 2: the door was open was ridiculous when you saw how
- 33:06Speaker 2: he was sentenced i forget what year that was 2007. Yeah,
- 33:11Speaker 2: and everybody understood what was going on. And it went
- 33:16Speaker 2: on anyway. So everything should be released. The people that
- 33:21Speaker 2: are responsible for it, I don't care if they're Democrats, Republicans,
- 33:24Speaker 2: rich or whatever they are, should be held accountable and
- 33:27Speaker 2: prosecuted to the full extent of the law. But I'm
- 33:29Speaker 2: here to tell you this. None of that's going to happen.
- 33:33Speaker 2: None of it's going to happen. And people will see
- 33:35Speaker 2: that the government has a two tier system of justice,
- 33:38Speaker 2: that those people will get away with it. None of
- 33:40Speaker 2: that will ever happen. And they'll and they'll just wait
- 33:43Speaker 2: for it's. I mean, Trump did a reversal. They'll wait
- 33:47Speaker 2: for it to die down more. And it'll never come out.
- 33:51Speaker 2: It just..
- 33:51Speaker 13: Okay, but listen. So we didn't know about Crossfire Hurricane.
- 33:57Speaker 13: We didn't know that they were spying on a U.S. citizen,
- 34:00Speaker 13: numerous U.S. citizens, before Trump was elected, right? The whole
- 34:05Speaker 13: Russia collusion thing. The whole Arctic.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Cross after that.
- 34:09Speaker 13: The whole FBI going after traditional Catholics.
- 34:14Speaker 6: Well..
- 34:15Speaker 13: What people did was filed FOIA requests, right? Freedom of information.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but who's actually gone to jail for any of that? See,
- 34:23Speaker 2: this is where the frustration is with the American public,
- 34:25Speaker 2: and justly so. All the stuff that you described. Well,
- 34:29Speaker 2: who's paid a penalty for doing any of it? Where's
- 34:33Speaker 2: the justice? Where is the justice?
- 34:37Speaker 13: I agree 100% with you and anybody who thinks like that,
- 34:39Speaker 13: because we haven't seen action. Now, just now, in 2026,
- 34:46Speaker 13: we saw a lady get sentenced to 40 years in
- 34:50Speaker 13: prison for the Minneapolis fraud, for the Minnesota fraud, right?
- 34:55Speaker 13: So there's something that happened. It's a glimmer of hope
- 35:01Speaker 13: for me. Not just for that, but.
- 35:04Speaker 7: For the same Epstein thing.
- 35:05Speaker 13: I'm just saying there's other ways to get information.
- 35:09Speaker 2: All right.
- 35:09Speaker 5: Go.
- 35:10Speaker 2: We'll be back.
- 35:12Speaker 10: Browns News, Weather and Talk Station, 570 WKBN.
- 35:17Speaker 2: And Ron Furb, you're on the air.
- 35:20Speaker 14: I don't care how much monetary compensation the Epstein victims
- 35:24Speaker 14: have received. Justice won't be served until the Zionists accused
- 35:30Speaker 14: of rape are put on trial, and if convicted, go
- 35:34Speaker 14: to prison for life. And Ron, I also have a
- 35:37Speaker 14: quiz for you. Do higher oil prices cause inflation?
- 35:42Speaker 3: Yes. No, they don't.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Yes, they do. And I'm going to tell you exactly
- 35:48Speaker 2: why they do. If you have the price of oil,
- 35:52Speaker 2: which is used in plastics and so many other products,
- 35:56Speaker 2: If you have the price of oil go up, that
- 35:59Speaker 2: cost is passed on to the product. If you don't
- 36:02Speaker 2: think they're inflationary, take a look at gasoline, take a
- 36:05Speaker 2: look at the products that come from it, and take
- 36:07Speaker 2: a look at shipping. It is inflationary.
- 36:10Speaker 14: Higher oil prices cause recession. Monetary inflation causes higher prices. Now,
- 36:20Speaker 14: I've been bullish on stocks for years because, Ron, every
- 36:23Speaker 14: year the demand for energy increases while the number of
- 36:27Speaker 14: new underground oil wells being discovered.
- 36:31Speaker 2: All right, stand by. Back in a minute. Hang on, Frank.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Back with more. Ron Furb here tonight till 6.
- 36:42Speaker 11: From ABC News, I'm Michelle Franzen. Iranian state media reporting
- 36:47Speaker 11: that Iranian officials have stopped sending messages to the U.S.
- 36:50Speaker 11: claiming Israel was violating the ceasefire with Lebanon. President Trump
- 36:54Speaker 11: says he held separate calls with Israel's prime minister and
- 36:56Speaker 11: Hezbollah mediators and both have agreed not to attack the other.
- 36:59Speaker 11: So far, though, a deal to end the 14-week war
- 37:02Speaker 11: between the U.S. and Iran is not gaining traction. ABC's
- 37:05Speaker 11: Karen Travers says more.
- 37:07Speaker 15: Some mixed messages from the president saying that he didn't
- 37:09Speaker 15: care if the negotiations were off. The United States could
- 37:13Speaker 15: then turn around and go silent on the Iranians. But
- 37:16Speaker 15: now he is claiming that talks are moving forward quickly.
- 37:20Speaker 15: I do think we need to caution here that the
- 37:22Speaker 15: president in the past has also put out messages like
- 37:25Speaker 15: this when we've seen oil prices spike on news that
- 37:29Speaker 15: the talks were not going well, potentially as a way
- 37:32Speaker 15: to try to throw some optimism in the conversation. But
- 37:36Speaker 15: for now, the president says they're on. The Iranians have
- 37:38Speaker 15: said they're off.
- 37:39Speaker 11: The Justice Department issued a statement amid reports that the
- 37:42Speaker 11: Trump administration is backing away from its $ 1. 8 billion anti-weaponization
- 37:47Speaker 11: fund after a Virginia judge's ruling, saying that it will
- 37:50Speaker 11: abide by a district judge's ruling that temporarily ordered the
- 37:54Speaker 11: fund to be frozen amid litigation. An appellate court, meantime,
- 37:58Speaker 11: weighing in on a key case centering on transgender military members.
- 38:01Speaker 16: By a two-to-one vote, the D.C.-based appeals court panel ruled
- 38:05Speaker 16: in favor of transgender service members. with the majority opinion
- 38:08Speaker 16: finding Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's transgender ban to be arbitrary
- 38:12Speaker 16: and based on animus. But the decision does not grant
- 38:15Speaker 16: relief to transgender people who hope to enlist, and it
- 38:18Speaker 16: does not extend beyond the named plaintiffs in the case.
- 38:21Speaker 16: Appeals Court Judge Justin Walker, a Trump appointee, dissented, saying
- 38:24Speaker 16: questions of military readiness should not be decided by courts.
- 38:28Speaker 11: ABC's Stephen Portnoy. In Laos, the race to rescue two
- 38:31Speaker 11: remaining miners from flooded remote caves continues. Crews have located
- 38:35Speaker 11: them but have yet to reach them. Five other miners
- 38:37Speaker 11: were already rescued. You're listening to ABC News.
- 38:41Speaker 2: All right, it's 4.07 in the afternoon. News Radio 570,
- 38:45Speaker 2: WKBN and Ron Furb. Let's talk economics for a bit.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Frank from Fort Lauderdale. Just what?
- 38:54Speaker 14: Well, I was going to say the eastern Mediterranean from
- 38:59Speaker 14: Palestine to Lebanon have one of the last economic untapped
- 39:04Speaker 14: oil fields. Gaza has 50% in Lebanon, the second largest.
- 39:10Speaker 14: In Gaza and Lebanon's offshore carbon energy fields, in eastern
- 39:14Speaker 14: Europe's hydrocarbon and mineral wealth, in Africa's vast mineral wealth,
- 39:21Speaker 14: Those are the main targets of the globalists in their
- 39:24Speaker 14: quest for global control.
- 39:27Speaker 3: And, you.
- 39:29Speaker 13: Know, global..
- 39:30Speaker 14: Oil production is expected to peak between 2030 and 2040.
- 39:36Speaker 14: The North Sea oil is now depleted. And when oil
- 39:40Speaker 14: fracking became economic, the U.S. overtook Russia as the largest
- 39:46Speaker 14: oil producer in the world. But without the technology of
- 39:50Speaker 14: shale oil fracking, global oil production would have likely peaked
- 39:55Speaker 14: between 2010 and 2014. Now, Ron, current oil output would
- 40:02Speaker 14: be at least 10 million barrels per day lower than today.
- 40:06Speaker 14: And this extra 10 million barrels has a short lifespan
- 40:10Speaker 14: because wells experience steep production drops, losing 50% to 70%
- 40:14Speaker 14: of output within the first year, and requiring continuous drilling
- 40:21Speaker 14: to maintain supply. So prime drilling areas in the Permian
- 40:26Speaker 14: Basin and other regions are running dry. Ron, fracking... the
- 40:34Speaker 14: oil peaks and decline much faster than conventional oil fields.
- 40:41Speaker 2: So what on all of it? Listen, all I can
- 40:43Speaker 2: tell you is Berman, and I forget the guy I
- 40:46Speaker 2: read Friday, these are the true oil experts in the field.
- 40:50Speaker 2: And in essence, like I said when I started, I mean,
- 40:53Speaker 2: I'm not going to go over all again. Most of
- 40:56Speaker 2: the oil that we get out of the United States
- 40:58Speaker 2: is light crude, and you can't make diesel out of it.
- 41:02Speaker 2: So there's a problem. You can make gasoline out of it,
- 41:05Speaker 2: but you can't make diesel out of it. You need
- 41:08Speaker 2: diesel for ships, for trucking, and jet fuel. You need
- 41:14Speaker 2: heavy crude. You get heavy crude, as they were explaining
- 41:18Speaker 2: to me. Oil isn't oil. I mean, as you're going on,
- 41:21Speaker 2: it's just important for people to understand stuff that it
- 41:25Speaker 2: takes time to understand it. I didn't get it until
- 41:27Speaker 2: I started reading what these experts are saying. They're saying
- 41:30Speaker 2: that if you say alcohol, beer is alcohol, but so
- 41:33Speaker 2: is Jack Daniels. But it's all different. Well, the same
- 41:37Speaker 2: thing applies to oil. All I can tell you as
- 41:40Speaker 2: you go on on this kind of stuff is we
- 41:43Speaker 2: in the United States have light crude. It makes gasoline.
- 41:48Speaker 2: The refineries are set up for heavy crude. That's one
- 41:52Speaker 2: of the problems. You get heavy crude from the Middle East.
- 41:55Speaker 2: You get heavy crude from Canada and from Venezuela. That's
- 41:59Speaker 2: where you can get heavy crude, and that's why we
- 42:02Speaker 2: still import a lot of oil because that's where it
- 42:05Speaker 2: comes from. The sweet crude is more difficult because the
- 42:11Speaker 2: refineries don't– Apparently don't– I don't know if they don't
- 42:16Speaker 2: have enough refineries to deal with it or what the
- 42:19Speaker 2: situation is, but it's basically used for gasoline. Now, you
- 42:23Speaker 2: can go on with all of this. These oil experts
- 42:25Speaker 2: are merely saying by what Trump did is he screwed
- 42:29Speaker 2: everything up. Now, they're not talking politics or Zionist or
- 42:33Speaker 2: any of this other crap you want to do on
- 42:35Speaker 2: a daily basis. They're just talking economics. They're not just talking.
- 42:40Speaker 14: No, no, no.
- 42:43Speaker 2: I'm talking to you now for a change. I know
- 42:46Speaker 2: I'm talking to you because they're just talking about what's
- 42:49Speaker 2: happening in oil.
- 42:51Speaker 12: All right.
- 42:51Speaker 2: They're just talking about what you're going to face in oil.
- 42:54Speaker 2: I mean, you want to go into all of this stuff,
- 42:57Speaker 2: and that's all they're trying to tell you. Is they're
- 42:59Speaker 2: saying that, okay, basically, they think July's a crucial month.
- 43:07Speaker 2: They don't think you'll ever see $ 89 or $ 90 oil again.
- 43:11Speaker 2: That it's a facade. It's a myth. It's not me
- 43:15Speaker 2: saying it. I'm reading these people that are saying, you know,
- 43:18Speaker 2: when they're telling you they're going to end, if you
- 43:21Speaker 2: end this tomorrow, everything's going to go back to normal
- 43:24Speaker 2: is a line of bull crap is what they're saying.
- 43:26Speaker 2: That isn't going to happen. It can't happen. There's too
- 43:29Speaker 2: many variables that are going on. These guys seem to
- 43:33Speaker 2: think it will never go back to how it used
- 43:35Speaker 2: to be. I hope they're wrong. But these are your
- 43:38Speaker 2: so-called oil analysts. That's their business. They're saying it'll never
- 43:44Speaker 2: go back to how it used to be. They're saying
- 43:46Speaker 2: this was a major mistake that Trump made. And in
- 43:50Speaker 2: so many facets of it that's going on now. When
- 43:56Speaker 2: it comes to the strait to begin with. How many
- 43:59Speaker 2: ships are going to be willing to go through there
- 44:02Speaker 2: in the future? Will there be a fee to go
- 44:05Speaker 2: through there? Look at these ships that are stuck out
- 44:09Speaker 2: there and continue to be stuck out there. And there's
- 44:12Speaker 2: so many problems with this. I'm not making it up.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I'm not giving you what my thoughts are. I'm just
- 44:18Speaker 2: reading what theirs are. And they say this is a mess.
- 44:22Speaker 2: And they say, and, you know, you want to get
- 44:25Speaker 2: in all this other bull crap. I would love you
- 44:27Speaker 2: to get through a call with me without saying the
- 44:29Speaker 2: word Zionist. For God's sakes, please. At some point. You know,
- 44:35Speaker 2: these oil guys are talking about basically saying Trump really
- 44:39Speaker 2: screwed up. He opened a can of worms that's going
- 44:43Speaker 2: to be very difficult to fix. And it will never
- 44:47Speaker 2: be the same. Ever.
- 44:48Speaker 3: Ever.
- 44:49Speaker 14: Well, when I analyze oil stocks.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Well, these are the oil analysts, not you analyzing them.
- 44:55Speaker 2: These are the guys. Art Berman. I'm trying to think
- 44:58Speaker 2: of the other guy. I just read him Friday. I've
- 45:00Speaker 2: got to find his name again. Cicerone or Cicero. I
- 45:04Speaker 2: can't even recall. There's four of them that are considered
- 45:07Speaker 2: some of the best in the world. Well, those are
- 45:10Speaker 2: the ones that they're talking to. I mean, what am
- 45:14Speaker 2: I supposed to? These guys are saying you could see
- 45:16Speaker 2: $ 180 a barrel to $ 160 a barrel oil. That's what
- 45:21Speaker 2: they're saying. They're saying this whole thing is unprecedented. It's
- 45:26Speaker 2: hard to predict anything because nothing like this has ever
- 45:29Speaker 2: happened before. You've got a problem in shipping now. You've
- 45:32Speaker 2: got a problem in the straight now. You've got a
- 45:35Speaker 2: problem with wells shut down. You've got a problem with supply.
- 45:39Speaker 2: That basically 20% of the oil has been off the
- 45:42Speaker 2: world markets. Compare it to your body having 20% less
- 45:45Speaker 2: blood in it. It's not a good scenario. So I'm
- 45:52Speaker 2: just trying to tell you what they say. I mean,
- 45:55Speaker 2: I do my best to try to figure out what
- 45:59Speaker 2: the difference is in oil and what these experts are
- 46:02Speaker 2: saying about what's going on in the Middle East. And
- 46:05Speaker 2: they're not too happy with what Trump did, and they
- 46:07Speaker 2: said they don't think it'll ever go back to being
- 46:09Speaker 2: the same. Period.
- 46:11Speaker 14: Hey, Ron, I read the top oil analysts, too, because..
- 46:15Speaker 3: Well, what are they saying?
- 46:17Speaker 2: Well, what are they saying, then, if you read them?
- 46:19Speaker 2: What are they currently saying?
- 46:20Speaker 14: Conventional fields are aging, and major new discoveries are rare.
- 46:26Speaker 14: War wars over oil fields could lie ahead.
- 46:30Speaker 2: I just got through with them over the weekend. Not
- 46:32Speaker 2: a one of them were saying that. I read them
- 46:34Speaker 2: over the weekend. Two of the four, not a one
- 46:37Speaker 2: of them said that. Not a single one of them.
- 46:41Speaker 14: Not a one.
- 46:45Speaker 2: The only thing they said about Canada is we import
- 46:47Speaker 2: 6 million barrels from Canada because Canada has heavy crude.
- 46:51Speaker 14: You know, the.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Tar sands to make diesel. Canada has the right kind
- 46:57Speaker 2: of oil. Do you know what makes light oil? I
- 47:01Speaker 2: never knew this. Light crude like we have in the
- 47:04Speaker 2: United States, it's in the ground longer and it's hotter
- 47:07Speaker 2: and it boils off the tar or whatever. And because
- 47:14Speaker 2: of the temperature, you can't make diesel out of it.
- 47:17Speaker 2: I never knew this stuff until I started reading it
- 47:19Speaker 2: over the weekend. I don't give a damn about.
- 47:25Speaker 14: Any of this stuff.
- 47:29Speaker 2: I mean, they're just trying to tell you what's going
- 47:33Speaker 2: on out there.
- 47:35Speaker 3: I'm not looking to pick a fight.
- 47:38Speaker 2: I'm looking to say to you, I just read them
- 47:40Speaker 2: over the weekend. I actually try to understand why these
- 47:44Speaker 2: guys think things are so dire. And Dyer, they think
- 47:47Speaker 2: $ 180 a barrel to $ 160. I hope they're wrong. $ 160
- 47:51Speaker 2: a barrel. They say $ 90 a barrel is ridiculous. They
- 47:55Speaker 2: say shipping's going to be a big problem because of
- 47:58Speaker 2: the insurance on shipping. What do you think the insurance
- 48:00Speaker 2: is going to cost if they ever open up the
- 48:02Speaker 2: Strait again? What do you think the cost of that's
- 48:04Speaker 2: going to go to? I mean, there's so many variables.
- 48:07Speaker 14: You can get insurance. The problem is the insurance costs
- 48:11Speaker 14: more than what you can sell and transport the oil for.
- 48:16Speaker 14: That's not true that you can't get insurance.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Well, according to them, they're not getting it right now,
- 48:21Speaker 2: and they're concerned with what the price will be when
- 48:24Speaker 2: it is available.
- 48:24Speaker 14: Do you think Warren Buffett knows anything about oil?
- 48:26Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm just reading the oil experts, not
- 48:29Speaker 2: Warren Buffett. That's what I'm telling you, the Lloyds of
- 48:32Speaker 2: London or whoever does the insurance. Wouldn't you go to
- 48:38Speaker 2: the leading guys in the oil industry to hear what
- 48:40Speaker 2: they have to say? Who told you I don't?
- 48:44Speaker 14: You're the one that's putting words in my mouth.
- 48:46Speaker 3: Are you kidding? I read oil.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Analysts all the time. What are they saying? I read car.
- 48:51Speaker 14: Industry analysts all the time.
- 48:53Speaker 2: What are the oil ones saying?
- 48:55Speaker 13: I just..
- 49:01Speaker 14: Talk to you about five minutes, what they're saying, and
- 49:04Speaker 14: you're saying it's all bull crap. Ron, we are not
- 49:09Speaker 14: discovering another new world.
- 49:12Speaker 2: We're going right down here. Not a one of them
- 49:14Speaker 2: was talking about that. They're all talking about the problem.
- 49:20Speaker 2: as a result of this situation in the Middle East
- 49:22Speaker 2: right now. They're all saying he screwed up big time
- 49:26Speaker 2: in the whole chain of delivery.
- 49:28Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Okay, they're not saying, blah, this, all this stuff. You
- 49:32Speaker 2: took 20% of the oil off the market right now.
- 49:35Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 49:36Speaker 14: And we're depleting the strategic oil reserves. Trump's depleted it 40% already.
- 49:43Speaker 2: That's another thing they're saying. All these strategic oil reserves
- 49:46Speaker 2: are being depleted to keep the cost down. It's a
- 49:49Speaker 2: facade of what's going on.
- 49:50Speaker 14: Not only to keep the cost down, but guess who
- 49:53Speaker 14: else needs a lot of oil? The military-industrial complex.
- 49:57Speaker 2: Oh, that's another thing. They said Russia's got the right
- 50:01Speaker 2: type of oil, too, with the heavy crude. Russia's going
- 50:04Speaker 2: to do quite well with oil because... That's why we're
- 50:07Speaker 2: kissing up to Russia right now.
- 50:08Speaker 14: Russia has the second largest oil reserves in the world.
- 50:12Speaker 2: I mean, by the time you get done reading this stuff,
- 50:17Speaker 2: you say, if they tell you this is all in July,
- 50:20Speaker 2: and I, honest to God, hope every one of these
- 50:22Speaker 2: guys are wrong. I hope they come back and say, boy,
- 50:24Speaker 2: we really missed this. Because one thing they all say
- 50:26Speaker 2: is this is unprecedented, which means it's hard to say
- 50:30Speaker 2: one way or the other. But if they're telling you
- 50:32Speaker 2: they think oil is going to be $ 1. 60 a barrel...
- 50:35Speaker 2: or 180 a barrel, they say, what do you think
- 50:36Speaker 2: that's going to do to diesel cost? What do you
- 50:39Speaker 2: think that's going to do to gasoline cost? So then
- 50:42Speaker 2: you're going to see demand curtailed way back, and it
- 50:47Speaker 2: might drop down to 160. I'm just saying what they're saying.
- 50:51Speaker 2: So people won't be able to do as much, so
- 50:54Speaker 2: it'll drop down to 160. And now you go down
- 50:57Speaker 2: to 160, and you still got a problem per barrel.
- 51:01Speaker 2: I know.
- 51:02Speaker 14: I've been analyzing the oil and natural gas industry since...
- 51:08Speaker 14: the 1980s when we had the oil shocks.
- 51:11Speaker 2: Well, I don't care about the 80s. I care about
- 51:12Speaker 2: what's going on right now. And these guys are saying
- 51:16Speaker 2: that you read, claim you read. We've never seen anything
- 51:18Speaker 2: like this before. It is a mess, is what they're saying.
- 51:21Speaker 2: It is an absolute mess that is not going to
- 51:25Speaker 2: be a flick of a switch and things are going
- 51:27Speaker 2: to go back to 250-gallon gasoline.
- 51:29Speaker 14: Well, I am the one that said if they close
- 51:31Speaker 14: down the streets of the Roos, We're going to see
- 51:35Speaker 14: oil and natural gas soar, and that's exactly what's happened.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Well, you're going to see it.
- 51:43Speaker 14: The longer this war goes on, yeah.
- 51:46Speaker 2: They seem to think the prices are all manipulated at
- 51:51Speaker 2: the present time.
- 51:52Speaker 14: I agree with you, Ron. I mean, I agree with
- 51:55Speaker 14: these guys that you're reading, the oil analysts. The longer
- 51:58Speaker 14: this war goes on, the greater the chance we're going
- 52:02Speaker 14: to have a global depression. Not a recession, a global depression.
- 52:09Speaker 14: You know, you had a caller the other day that
- 52:12Speaker 14: was calling about, oh, you know, the Treasury bills, nobody's
- 52:16Speaker 14: forcing them to buy it. You know what's going on
- 52:19Speaker 14: right now? Governments are being forced to sell their Treasuries.
- 52:24Speaker 14: Number one, to pay interest on their national debt. In
- 52:30Speaker 14: other countries like Japan, for example, which imports 90% of
- 52:34Speaker 14: their oil, they're selling their treasuries because they've got to
- 52:38Speaker 14: pay higher prices for oil.
- 52:40Speaker 3: All right.
- 52:42Speaker 2: It's a mess. I mean, everyone with the... I hope
- 52:47Speaker 2: they're wrong, because if they're not wrong, they're saying the
- 52:51Speaker 2: crap they suspect will hit the fan in July.
- 52:53Speaker 14: Not June and July.
- 52:56Speaker 2: And you talk about, by the way, you talk about inflation.
- 53:00Speaker 2: They're talking, what do you think, when you're paying what
- 53:02Speaker 2: you've got to pay for jet fuel, is going to
- 53:04Speaker 2: happen to a ticket on an airline?
- 53:07Speaker 14: Ron, what's going to happen when nobody wants to buy
- 53:10Speaker 14: our junk bonds? The seven largest holders of U.S. treasuries
- 53:15Speaker 14: are selling their treasuries.
- 53:17Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 53:18Speaker 3: That's a whole other problem.
- 53:19Speaker 2: I think Saudi Arabia is 1.46. Goodbye. We'll be back.
- 53:26Speaker 10: 570 WKBN.
- 53:28Speaker 2: On the verge of a nervous breakdown. Ron Verb from
- 53:30Speaker 2: the Kingdom of Mahoning, 424, on a beautiful Monday afternoon
- 53:34Speaker 2: at 74 degrees. It's already June 1st. And you're on
- 53:37Speaker 2: the air.
- 53:38Speaker 5: I'm talking.
- 53:40Speaker 13: You're listening, Ron.
- 53:41Speaker 5: 570 WKBS.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Not bad. Not bad.
- 53:49Speaker 13: Yeah, but listen to me.
- 53:50Speaker 5: Every time I listen to Frank from Fort Lauderdale, I
- 53:53Speaker 5: go to my... utility drawer and try to find a
- 53:57Speaker 5: knife to cut my throat.
- 53:59Speaker 9: This guy's depressing as hell.
- 54:02Speaker 5: He's depressing as hell, Ron. I can't listen to your
- 54:05Speaker 5: station when all these people talk negative. It's not good.
- 54:09Speaker 17: I need hope.
- 54:10Speaker 5: When there's hope in the future, there's power of positivity
- 54:13Speaker 5: in the present.
- 54:15Speaker 13: You know what I mean?
- 54:16Speaker 5: When somebody's talking doom and gloom, I mean, why do
- 54:19Speaker 5: you want to even try? Like a guy said earlier,
- 54:24Speaker 5: I was listening to, he said, He said, you've got
- 54:26Speaker 5: to uplift people. You know what I mean? So that
- 54:29Speaker 5: with children especially, so they can strive for goals. Like
- 54:34Speaker 5: they were talking about, you know, boys and girls sports.
- 54:37Speaker 5: You can't go to your daughter and say, guess what?
- 54:39Speaker 5: I know you're working so hard. I know you want
- 54:42Speaker 5: to achieve. But there's this guy that's going to steal.
- 54:44Speaker 13: It from you.
- 54:45Speaker 5: So why even get up and go to practice?
- 54:47Speaker 3: Get it?
- 54:49Speaker 2: I got it.
- 54:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 54:50Speaker 9: So anyhow, I saw that, by the way, in 85.
- 54:54Speaker 9: I got into a cab.
- 54:56Speaker 5: Somebody else was there, looked like a beautiful lady. All
- 54:59Speaker 5: of a sudden, something fell out underneath his dress, and
- 55:02Speaker 5: I went, holy shit.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Don't say that. It doesn't use the S word.
- 55:06Speaker 13: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 55:06Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 55:07Speaker 3: Holy crap.
- 55:07Speaker 5: Excuse me. And I thought, wow. I mean, this guy,
- 55:12Speaker 5: this guy. You know what I mean? So I saw
- 55:15Speaker 5: that back in 85 in L.A.
- 55:17Speaker 2: And did you find him attractive?
- 55:20Speaker 8: No.
- 55:20Speaker 7: No.
- 55:22Speaker 5: I am straighter than a..
- 55:23Speaker 2: I'm just asking a question, that's all. I wasn't implying anything.
- 55:30Speaker 5: Well, you know, you can't have six children and say
- 55:32Speaker 5: you're not straight.
- 55:33Speaker 2: You don't have six kids.
- 55:35Speaker 3: Yes, I do.
- 55:37Speaker 5: I raised six children.
- 55:38Speaker 2: You produced six kids?
- 55:40Speaker 5: No, three, but I raised six.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Okay, but you produced three.
- 55:44Speaker 5: Yeah, but I wanted more, but you know what I'm saying?
- 55:47Speaker 5: You can only pump somebody out, so... I didn't get
- 55:51Speaker 5: married again. I didn't find somebody else. I'm not a
- 55:54Speaker 5: daddy baby. Is that what they call them? Baby daddy? No,
- 55:58Speaker 5: I could have done that.
- 55:59Speaker 13: I didn't do that.
- 56:01Speaker 5: I know one guy said, man, I'm a daddy baby
- 56:04Speaker 5: 27 times over.
- 56:06Speaker 13: I said, damn.
- 56:08Speaker 5: Are you crazy? How can you do that, Ron? 27
- 56:13Speaker 5: different women.
- 56:16Speaker 2: I think you have to be an NBA basketball star.
- 56:21Speaker 5: Oh, you've got to afford it, right?
- 56:23Speaker 10: But no.
- 56:24Speaker 9: No, not in this age.
- 56:24Speaker 5: The government picks up the tab.
- 56:27Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 56:27Speaker 5: You know, welfare and everything.
- 56:29Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 56:30Speaker 5: As long, you know, if you're not making money. Anyhow,
- 56:34Speaker 5: let's get back to the Strait of Chattamooka. Okay? I
- 56:39Speaker 5: call it the Strait of Chattamooka instead of Hamos.
- 56:42Speaker 3: Okay?
- 56:45Speaker 5: And the bottom line is, that guy you got information
- 56:49Speaker 5: from about the oil... You know about pricing?
- 56:52Speaker 2: Yes.
- 56:53Speaker 5: He's making gas.
- 56:55Speaker 7: You know, like he's putting.
- 56:56Speaker 5: Gas in the... So he wants to let everybody know,
- 57:01Speaker 5: it's going to go up. It's going to stay up.
- 57:03Speaker 5: And I'm going to invest in my fourth generation of children. Oh, yeah,
- 57:09Speaker 5: that's what he's saying. He's trying to program us. Ron,
- 57:13Speaker 5: let me tell you something.
- 57:14Speaker 3: It's a lie.
- 57:15Speaker 5: Because Trump's going to fix all this.
- 57:17Speaker 7: Trust me.
- 57:18Speaker 18: Okay?
- 57:18Speaker 11: Okay.
- 57:19Speaker 5: And gas is going to go down to $ 1. 50 again.
- 57:23Speaker 5: But here's the thing. The only way you're going to
- 57:25Speaker 5: do that is flood the market, supply and demand.
- 57:27Speaker 2: Okay?
- 57:28Speaker 5: And that's what I'm hoping Trump... Now, they're building two
- 57:31Speaker 5: other refineries, you know, for light oil, like you said.
- 57:35Speaker 5: And by the way, we get heavy oil from Venezuela
- 57:39Speaker 5: and convert it to diesel here. You know, it comes
- 57:41Speaker 5: in over there at... Do you know that? It comes
- 57:44Speaker 5: in at New Orleans.
- 57:46Speaker 13: You know what I mean?
- 57:47Speaker 6: So..
- 57:48Speaker 5: And so we got light oil, we're getting heavy oil
- 57:50Speaker 5: from Venezuela, and we're changing that now. He's got two
- 57:55Speaker 5: other plants he's building, okay? And I'm sure he's on
- 57:59Speaker 5: at light speed.
- 58:00Speaker 2: All right, that sounds like some wishful thinking. We'll come
- 58:04Speaker 2: back right after this. NewsRadio 570, Dodie Cary, and Ron Verb.
- 58:08Speaker 2: Till 6.
- 58:08Speaker 10: Back at News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Back to it. News Radio 570 WKVN. Ron Ferb, it's
- 58:15Speaker 2: 4.35 in the afternoon, and you're on the air. Ron?
- 58:22Speaker 2: Boss Lady?
- 58:24Speaker 19: How are you?
- 58:25Speaker 6: I'm about to give you a stroke today.
- 58:27Speaker 2: I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown, Boss Lady.
- 58:29Speaker 2: I know. I'm really, I'm this close. It's probably... Might
- 58:33Speaker 2: materialize tonight at 6.10 when I'm done with the broadcast.
- 58:37Speaker 2: I might just go check myself into the loony bin.
- 58:40Speaker 19: You got those out put in your pocket or what?
- 58:43Speaker 2: Yes, as a matter of fact.
- 58:45Speaker 8: Wait a minute.
- 58:47Speaker 6: You better make sure.
- 58:48Speaker 2: Right there they are.
- 58:49Speaker 13: Of course.
- 58:50Speaker 19: Oh, I swear. Honest to God. I heard Emmanuel called
- 58:56Speaker 19: in and wanted to chat with me about this. The
- 58:59Speaker 19: cure for cancer and would I vote for a Democrat?
- 59:03Speaker 19: Am I hearing that right?
- 59:06Speaker 2: He said he had two questions. He said, well, if
- 59:09Speaker 2: a Democrat. came up with a cure for cancer, would
- 59:11Speaker 2: you vote for him? And of course you would. If
- 59:14Speaker 2: there was a quality... I voted for Democrats in the past.
- 59:17Speaker 2: They've disappointed me just as Republicans have disappointed me.
- 59:20Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 59:22Speaker 17: But here's the thing.
- 59:25Speaker 7: Again..
- 59:25Speaker 2: Here's my question I want to ask you, though, before
- 59:27Speaker 2: you go any further. Are you ready?
- 59:29Speaker 4: OK, I'm ready.
- 59:30Speaker 2: This has nothing to do with what everybody else said.
- 59:34Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you something that actually does bother me.
- 59:38Speaker 6: Go ahead.
- 59:39Speaker 2: And it bothers me about something Trump is doing. And
- 59:42Speaker 2: I figure I can talk to you about it because
- 59:44Speaker 2: you'll be straightforward. All right. And this really does bother me. Listen,
- 59:51Speaker 2: I think the White House is a. How do I
- 59:55Speaker 2: do this? it's special grounds, you know, it's the white house. And,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: and this idea of holding a wrestling tournament at the
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: white house, this, I just think this is crazy. I mean,
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: I just, what did Biden have some transgender get together
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: there or something? I mean, when I'm starting to see
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: this stuff where Trump had sold this wrestling match at
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: the white house, I just think that's just terrible.
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: Wow.
- 1:00:25Speaker 19: You're talking to a big-time wrestling fan. Listen, I would
- 1:00:31Speaker 19: say it's far better than a transgender parade or, you know..
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: But neither one of them... I mean, I'm not opposed
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: to the kids having an Easter egg hunt, that kind
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: of stuff. But when did we say, oh, we're going
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: to make this a venue, the White House, for a
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: wrestling tournament?
- 1:00:50Speaker 19: You know, I think it's like..
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:00:55Speaker 19: It's a celebration. It's part of the celebration. It's just entertainment.
- 1:01:01Speaker 9: It's the oldest sport in the world.
- 1:01:03Speaker 19: It's exciting to watch. I don't know if you've ever
- 1:01:07Speaker 19: watched it, but if you have a fan or somebody
- 1:01:08Speaker 19: you're following, they're exciting.
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: It's one-on-one. It's nowhere to hide.
- 1:01:14Speaker 19: It's You know, so I don't know. I mean, it
- 1:01:17Speaker 19: is entertainment. I'm sure if they didn't do that, they'd
- 1:01:20Speaker 19: do something else stupid. So I guess pick your poison.
- 1:01:23Speaker 17: What do you, you know, I mean, is it any
- 1:01:25Speaker 17: different than.
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: I mean, it's far different than transgender parading around.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but do you think it's right?
- 1:01:36Speaker 19: Well, I mean, to me, I think any single dollar
- 1:01:39Speaker 19: that they're spending that doesn't help relieve the cost to
- 1:01:43Speaker 19: the taxpayer is a pain in my arse right now.
- 1:01:46Speaker 19: You know, if you're spending a dollar, they could help
- 1:01:50Speaker 19: relieve the taxpayer.
- 1:01:52Speaker 17: But, you know, I could be the, you know..
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Okay, so let me back up and let me just
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: try this again. Do you think holding a wrestling tournament...
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: At the White House is something that should be going on.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: I mean, it's... Well, as opposed to what? I mean,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: what am I missing? As opposed to nothing? I just
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: think it's... I think it's just ridiculous that we... that
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: something like this is going on. It's like, you want
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: to do what? You want to have a tournament, a
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: wrestling tournament at the White House?
- 1:02:26Speaker 19: As opposed to what? As opposed to doing nothing, then
- 1:02:29Speaker 19: do nothing.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Right, as opposed to doing... As opposed to doing nothing.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: I just don't think that's what the White House is
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: there for, to hold these type of events.
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: Yeah, I can see that point.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: I mean, it's like, I don't want to say it's
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: sacred ground, but shouldn't it be?
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: I'm a fun sucker, though.
- 1:02:47Speaker 19: I would suck the fun out of all of it
- 1:02:49Speaker 19: and just give us back the money.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:02:53Speaker 17: Like, how much are you spending on it?
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: I guess, right? But I'm the fun sucker. I'll suck
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: the fun right out of all of it and just
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: give the taxpayer back the money so we can have
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: our own fun. I don't know.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: I mean, go somewhere else to have a wrestling tournament.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: I mean, it just seems like it lowers the class
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: of the White House. I mean, I'm not opposed to
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: the ballroom. I see a need for that. I'm going
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: to give you two things. Are you ready for this?
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: This is why I probably won't have a nervous breakdown
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: because I'm with my therapist now. Now, doctor. Yeah. I
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: like the Kennedy Center. When they, oh, the Kennedy Trump Center.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: And when the court said, no, you can't put his
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: name up there because Congress named it. And you just,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: it's like, I kind of applauded that decision. It's like,
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: it's the Kennedy Center. Keep your damn name off of everything.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: I mean, I'm getting sick of that. I mean, I'm
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: getting sick of, oh, it's a Kennedy Trump Center. Right.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: I'm getting tired of that. See, you brought this on
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: with me. Maybe you're not like my therapist. Maybe you're
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: the problem. You brought this on because I found myself
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: agreeing with you that when you watch the cabinet meetings,
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: all of these people in the cabinet meetings are just
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: there kissing his arse. Oh, you're the greatest. And it
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: sickens me. It's like, hey, make your point. Stop kissing
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: his arse. And all you know, because of you, Mr. President,
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: all this greatness. And it's and it's just.
- 1:04:31Speaker 17: So it is nauseating.
- 1:04:33Speaker 19: But is it any more nauseating?
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: It's nauseating.
- 1:04:36Speaker 19: All the people in Biden's administration saying that he was coherent,
- 1:04:41Speaker 19: that he was, you know.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Two wrongs, boss lady. Do not make a right. And
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: I can make this argument. It's not more annoying.
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: It's just we're getting sick of it. I think overall
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: we're getting sick of it.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: I don't think it's more annoying. Boss Lady, I am
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: happy to see the cabinet meetings broadcast so that you
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: can actually see that. You would never see that with Biden.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Biden didn't have a cabinet meeting for over a year.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: So I'm not opposed to any of that. So don't
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: misunderstand me. I'm all for all of that.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: But..
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: I'm saying that I get tired of the arse kissing
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: or just one right after the other. It's like they're
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: sucking up to keep their job. That's number one. So
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: you brought that on. And then when I read that decision, well,
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: the Kennedy Trump Center, no, take his name off of everything.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: I mean, this is getting a little ridiculous. I'm not
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: opposed to the ballroom. Build the ballroom. I think it
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: is needed at the White House for future events. Don't
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: put his name on it. And then this whole wrestling
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: thing started to bother me. It's like, OK, you're holding
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: a wrestling match at the White House. That's not this
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: is like historic sacred ground, if you will.
- 1:05:57Speaker 12: And.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: I feel better now. Do you get what I'm saying?
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Am I making sense to you?
- 1:06:04Speaker 19: I understand your point about the cabinet meetings. It's a
- 1:06:07Speaker 19: frustration for me, too, although I love them. I wish
- 1:06:09Speaker 19: there wasn't so much of that. You could talk about
- 1:06:12Speaker 19: more things if you stopped out all the other butt kissing.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's like.
- 1:06:18Speaker 19: But they're great transparency. I mean, you know, but they
- 1:06:21Speaker 19: are all posturing great. Like, but both sides, it's always
- 1:06:25Speaker 19: going to be like they posture. They use what I
- 1:06:27Speaker 19: do like about it is he uses it as an
- 1:06:29Speaker 19: opportunity to inform.
- 1:06:30Speaker 17: He talks about progress because you're not going to hear
- 1:06:33Speaker 17: it on the news.
- 1:06:34Speaker 19: The news isn't going to tell you what, what good
- 1:06:37Speaker 19: is happening and depending on what you're watching.
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: And, you know, most people are getting their news off
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: of TikTok right now.
- 1:06:42Speaker 17: So it's, It's good to hear these good things, but
- 1:06:46Speaker 17: it's all in between.
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: It just gets nauseating.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Those are the things that just bothered me. Like I said,
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: what bothered me was those things. It was like I
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: agreed with the court. Take his name off that thing.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: And when I'm hearing about this wrestling match and then
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: this 250th anniversary thing, like with some of these acts
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: that are canceling, First and foremost, why don't you just
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: go get some country acts? Why are you getting these
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: washed-up rock acts that are bowing out of it and
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: don't want to be around any of the controversy and
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: that kind of stuff? If you're going to do some
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: 250th anniversary, I get that for the country. That makes
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: sense to me. Then get some country stars that... that
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: aren't afraid of the pressure or whatever and will show
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: up and put on a great show as opposed to
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: washed-up rock stars. What do you make of that?
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: I agree with that, too. I agree with that, too.
- 1:07:40Speaker 17: But, yeah, wrestling is part of the 250.
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: It's UFC.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: I don't want the wrestling. It's not just wrestling.
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: It's UFC.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: I know. And it's not wrestling. It's wrassling.
- 1:07:52Speaker 19: Yes, but this particular event is mixed martial arts.
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: It's UFC.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: Oh, I don't even like that. I mean, that doesn't
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: belong at the White House either. And is he doing
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: that because the guy backed him and Trump's a great guy? Okay,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: but that... Just like when Biden, didn't he have that
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: transgender thing at the White House? I thought, my God,
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: come on, for God.
- 1:08:14Speaker 19: Yeah, that's a little bit more polarizing. I think at
- 1:08:17Speaker 19: least with USC, what you might see are people from both.
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: Sides of the aisle excited about it.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: I don't get excited about that.
- 1:08:24Speaker 19: Well, I mean, I know it's not for competition.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: You should be using that White House property to pardon
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Tom the turkey. at Thanksgiving. And the children for their
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Easter egg hunt and stuff like that. I mean, that's
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: kind of what you use that property for.
- 1:08:43Speaker 17: I can hear your point there. I can hear your point.
- 1:08:48Speaker 19: But can we get back to this Emanuel who brought
- 1:08:51Speaker 19: me up?
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: Because I hope he's listening.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: Oh, I see, Ron. I think your nervous breakdown has
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: been cured for now. It's been cured for now. Now
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: can I get back to the point I want to make? Oh, absolutely,
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: boss lady. Sorry I took your precious time.
- 1:09:08Speaker 17: Well, hey, I did check on.
- 1:09:09Speaker 19: You, made sure you got your little pills in your pocket.
- 1:09:13Speaker 19: I think you're calmed down. I'm not going to talk
- 1:09:15Speaker 19: about the cost of oil and the barrel, and I'm
- 1:09:18Speaker 19: not going to do all that with you right now.
- 1:09:20Speaker 19: I would like to make a good analogy.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: Now, hang on a second. I'm going to let you
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: make an analogy for Emanuel. When you say that about, see,
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: you are like a high-powered executive, okay?
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: Go ahead.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: I mean, you are a highly paid boss woman, correct?
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: I mean, you know, if I– you've done– Yeah, I'm
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: doing pretty well.
- 1:09:47Speaker 19: I mean, I'm sure there's a lot of boss women
- 1:09:49Speaker 19: doing more than– or women doing better than me, but, yeah.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: Right, but, well, I mean, you've done that, so now
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: I forgot exactly what I was going to say. Now
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: you distracted me from that when I was saying you were–
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: You had to come back to me.
- 1:10:07Speaker 19: I had 2 million TikTok followers.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, it's like 2.5 million TikTok followers or whatever
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: you're on, Facebook, TikTok, or X, or whatever the hell
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: it's on there. So I don't know. But anyway, you got..
- 1:10:22Speaker 19: Maybe it'll come to you.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: I possibly will. And it was a great thought I
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: was having, and then it just vanished right out of my...
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Right out of my head.
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: That's another separate section. We have to have a separate
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: section about that one.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: I tell you, I don't know what's happening, but go ahead.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: What is it?
- 1:10:42Speaker 19: Of course, any huge discovery or medical breakthrough that we have,
- 1:10:48Speaker 19: I don't care if they're Democrat, Republican.
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: I don't care if they're Chinese.
- 1:10:51Speaker 19: I don't care if they're Russian. You need to celebrate that.
- 1:10:55Speaker 19: But you always vote for the worst.
- 1:10:58Speaker 6: Of a candidate.
- 1:10:59Speaker 19: So everybody needs to first start there. So you're accepting,
- 1:11:02Speaker 19: you vote for a candidate, you're accepting all the good
- 1:11:05Speaker 19: and all the bad sides, right?
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: Would you agree with that?
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:11:09Speaker 20: Yes.
- 1:11:09Speaker 19: So even the worst of their policy. So I would
- 1:11:13Speaker 19: a thousand percent celebrate whoever, I mean, please, somebody, you're
- 1:11:18Speaker 19: a cancer. I don't care who you are. I would
- 1:11:19Speaker 19: celebrate you. We could have a party.
- 1:11:22Speaker 17: Whatever you want, we can do that for you.
- 1:11:25Speaker 19: But just because someone cured cancer doesn't mean that it's
- 1:11:29Speaker 19: somebody who could run the country or that you should
- 1:11:31Speaker 19: support with a vote and put them in charge of something.
- 1:11:34Speaker 19: What if the person, my analogy, cured cancer but also
- 1:11:38Speaker 19: said that simultaneously he wants to ban all cars and replace.
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: Them with unicycles in the whole world, right?
- 1:11:47Speaker 19: What if the person said that every American then has
- 1:11:51Speaker 19: to cluck like a chicken three times a day?
- 1:11:53Speaker 6: That's a dumb question, I guess is my point.
- 1:12:00Speaker 17: Of course.
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:12:01Speaker 19: But like you, you don't.
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: Just like vote.
- 1:12:03Speaker 17: Oh, well, he cured cancer so he can rule the world.
- 1:12:06Speaker 19: Well, no, maybe he wants to put us all in
- 1:12:08Speaker 19: frames and send us to a concentration camp at the
- 1:12:10Speaker 19: same day.
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: I mean, you don't.
- 1:12:12Speaker 19: Come on.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: No, here's this trick question. I thought you would be
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: smarter than this. I have to school you on this.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: It's very sad for me. He said it's because people say, well,
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: these Democrats, they would they would be against Trump if
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: he cured cancer. You hear that cliche all the time.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: So he's trying to turn the wheels.
- 1:12:30Speaker 19: I would not be against a Democrat.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: No, he's trying to say, oh, these Republicans would be
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: against a Democrat if he cured cancer. That's how he
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: should have phrased the question.
- 1:12:42Speaker 19: I wouldn't be against him. I would absolutely think he is.
- 1:12:46Speaker 19: participating in society in a way larger scope than anybody
- 1:12:51Speaker 19: has done and should be praised and whatever. But does
- 1:12:55Speaker 19: that mean I would put him in power? I don't know.
- 1:12:58Speaker 19: I would have to know more about him.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: Like, I don't know.
- 1:13:01Speaker 19: I mean, is he going to ban..
- 1:13:02Speaker 5: Well, okay.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Let me try it again. You're missing the point. I
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: think he's saying... Well, like, we say there's people that
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: wouldn't vote for Trump no matter what he did. He's
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: trying to say there's people... that are Trump supporters who
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: would never vote for Democrat, no matter what they did. That's,
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: but see, I don't, I don't fall for that because.
- 1:13:23Speaker 19: I said to him, I voted not, I vote, I
- 1:13:25Speaker 19: would absolutely vote off of the party.
- 1:13:28Speaker 6: If I thought that I had a better alternative.
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: You would vote for a Democrat if they, uh, as an,
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: as an American, uh, And I don't mean to put
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: tampons in men's room or all this craziness these Democrats,
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: these far-left Democrats are. But if you thought there was
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: a competent Democrat that could run the country well and
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: you agreed with on his economic policies, you would vote
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: for him as an American. That's, I think, is what
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: he's asking. But, you see, I said that I voted–
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: I have voted for Democrats and Republicans. And I ask
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: you this because, as you revealed the other day, you're
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: certainly not a spring chicken. I mean, you've got a
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: lot of miles on you for your age. But– I mean,
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: I mean, so.
- 1:14:16Speaker 19: I'm not that old, but I mean, I'm getting there.
- 1:14:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: Well, yeah.
- 1:14:21Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: I mean, there's some miles on the odometer, but so, so, uh,
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm, I don't know what to make
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: of it all.
- 1:14:37Speaker 19: And then here's the other thing about this company.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: Stand by. Just stand by. Stand by. It's the boss lady.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: And we'll come back with her. So stay tuned.
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: Towns News, Weather, and Talk Station, 570 WKBN.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: Hidey-ho, 457. All right, boss lady, what is it that
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: you wanted to say?
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: Oh, about the Epstein stuff.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:15:02Speaker 6: I am... You know, I go back and forth with.
- 1:15:06Speaker 19: This because initially I'm outraged. I want the way we
- 1:15:09Speaker 19: all envision.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Justice. You want justice.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:15:13Speaker 19: We envision this list coming out and all of the
- 1:15:16Speaker 19: people prosecuted.
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:15:19Speaker 19: But we all know that part of that is just
- 1:15:24Speaker 19: because you're on a flight record, there's a photograph, there's
- 1:15:29Speaker 19: a social association, or.
- 1:15:32Speaker 6: It's not proof enough.
- 1:15:34Speaker 19: To put anybody in jail if you don't have the
- 1:15:39Speaker 19: victim willing to testify.
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: Correct.
- 1:15:41Speaker 19: And in many cases, that is, I'm not going to
- 1:15:45Speaker 19: say it's a whole struggle, it's a major struggle. These
- 1:15:49Speaker 19: victims are not coming forward. You can't just say..
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: Well, there's a bunch of them who are coming forward.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: I mean, let's deal with the ones who are coming forward.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: I mean, if there are videos or if there is
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: proof that these men were engaging in sex with minor females,
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: then they should be prosecuted.
- 1:16:12Speaker 19: And these women are settling... cases, I believe, outside of
- 1:16:19Speaker 19: the scope of the media and what's happening. I mean,
- 1:16:23Speaker 19: I was looking that up.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: Wait a minute. Stand by. I'll let her finish her
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: thought on that. Then I get to more calls. We're
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: here till six. And then the Rockport Wealth Truth Investing Program,
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning.
- 1:16:37Speaker 21: From ABC News. Davis anchor Prime streaming weeknights on ABC
- 1:16:43Speaker 21: News Live. The Justice Department says it will abide by
- 1:16:46Speaker 21: a federal judge's temporary hold on using a $ 1. 8 billion
- 1:16:49Speaker 21: so-called anti-weaponization fund, which was created as part of President
- 1:16:53Speaker 21: Trump's IRS lawsuit settlement.
- 1:16:54Speaker 16: A social media post from the Justice Department says officials
- 1:16:58Speaker 16: strongly disagree with last week's ruling by a federal judge
- 1:17:01Speaker 16: in Virginia temporarily freezing the fund pending a hearing she
- 1:17:04Speaker 16: set for the end of next week. The department says
- 1:17:07Speaker 16: it will abide by that ruling. That, as more congressional
- 1:17:10Speaker 16: Republicans express their opposition to the idea of handing out
- 1:17:13Speaker 16: up to $ 1. 8 billion of taxpayer money to those who've
- 1:17:16Speaker 16: been accused of or convicted of crime.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: ABC's Stephen Portnoy.
- 1:17:19Speaker 21: In Florida, state officials are suing OpenAI, claiming the company
- 1:17:23Speaker 21: is putting profits above safety.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Florida's Attorney General alleges OpenAI doesn't do enough to prevent
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: harmful or criminal behavior on its platform, and that puts
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: children at risk. State AG James Ulfmeyer cites instances of
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: people using ChatGPT before acts of violence, including last year's
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: shooting at Florida State University. In response, OpenAI told ABC
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: News it already has safety measures in place to redirect
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: people to mental health resources if it detects them going
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: down a dark path, adding it's committed to getting this right.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: Mike Daboski, ABC News.
- 1:17:56Speaker 21: President Trump says he spoke with Israel's leader and Hezbollah
- 1:17:58Speaker 21: mediators and both have agreed to pause fighting. It comes
- 1:18:02Speaker 21: after Iranian media reported Tehran was suspending talks with the U.S.
- 1:18:05Speaker 21: due to Israeli strikes in Lebanon. ABC's Tom Sufi-Burge is
- 1:18:08Speaker 21: in Jerusalem and says Iran is keeping the pressure up
- 1:18:11Speaker 21: on its nuclear ambitions.
- 1:18:12Speaker 22: Despite all of the pressure, the Iranians are still maintaining
- 1:18:16Speaker 22: that they want something out of this negotiation, that they're
- 1:18:19Speaker 22: not just willing to give up their nuclear program wholesale.
- 1:18:23Speaker 22: That seems to be the case, and that is what
- 1:18:25Speaker 22: President Trump wants.
- 1:18:26Speaker 21: In Laos, crews are racing to rescue two remaining miners
- 1:18:29Speaker 21: from remote flooded caves. They've been stranded for more than
- 1:18:32Speaker 21: a week.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: You're listening to ABC News. You're talking about Epstein.
- 1:18:40Speaker 19: Yeah, I mean, you know, it's all disappointing. I guess
- 1:18:42Speaker 19: it's just I don't think we're going to get the
- 1:18:44Speaker 19: perfect answer because just because there's a photo she did release,
- 1:18:48Speaker 19: Pam Bondi released three and a.
- 1:18:49Speaker 6: Half million pages. And they messed that up, right?
- 1:18:52Speaker 19: There were names that could have redacted and accidentally got through.
- 1:18:56Speaker 19: Do you know how many pieces of paper or how
- 1:18:58Speaker 19: much information that is to siphon through? I think they
- 1:19:02Speaker 19: over-promised and under-delivered. And that is annoying and makes me angry.
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: I mean, I want them all prosecuted. I want them
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: strung up in the middle of the town square.
- 1:19:11Speaker 17: But This is, I think, a lot more difficult than
- 1:19:15Speaker 17: people think.
- 1:19:16Speaker 19: I mean, the obvious one that, you know, people talk about,
- 1:19:20Speaker 19: what's his name, Prince Andrew?
- 1:19:23Speaker 18: Yes.
- 1:19:25Speaker 19: I mean, you hear about the obvious ones that we know,
- 1:19:27Speaker 19: but I mean, there's many others, and I'm sure there's
- 1:19:29Speaker 19: representatives and senators' names that are in that list, too.
- 1:19:32Speaker 19: But if somebody, you know, if somebody came out and
- 1:19:37Speaker 19: these women came out and made a statement to the.
- 1:19:39Speaker 17: Public, it'd be pretty hard to hide from that. You
- 1:19:43Speaker 17: have to have.
- 1:19:44Speaker 19: Cooperation from the victim as well. I'm not saying they
- 1:19:47Speaker 19: are not fully. I don't think they'll fully get the
- 1:19:52Speaker 19: cooperation from the victim.
- 1:19:55Speaker 6: Because they're afraid.
- 1:19:57Speaker 19: To come forward?
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:19:58Speaker 19: I'm just saying it's not as simple, I don't think,
- 1:20:00Speaker 19: as what everybody's saying. It annoys me just as bad
- 1:20:03Speaker 19: as it annoys everybody else. But when you look at
- 1:20:07Speaker 19: the scope of things, nobody else did anything about it.
- 1:20:10Speaker 19: And I know the two wrongs don't make a right.
- 1:20:12Speaker 19: I guess what I'm saying is, I mean, this is
- 1:20:14Speaker 19: a complicated issue.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, let me just say this. Do
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: you think that the victims deserve justice?
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: A thousand percent.
- 1:20:26Speaker 22: Bring them up in the street.
- 1:20:30Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: Do you think they'll ever see justice?
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: No.
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: Why? And so would you conclude that there's a two-tier
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: system here? that Epstein was with the intelligence community and
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: they were doing this type of behavior to try to
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: get something on these people to be able to have
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: control over them. Would that be a concern of yours?
- 1:20:49Speaker 6: Definitely a concern. I think it's definitely a concern.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: So would you be concerned who might have those videotapes
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: or who might have those files and potentially still be
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: using it over these people, whether they're in politics or financial..
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: Uh-huh, I think that's about half the stuff in.
- 1:21:08Speaker 19: Washington happened.
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: I mean, I think all of that.
- 1:21:12Speaker 19: I think it's, hey, come to.
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: The party, and oh, look, here's a hooker. And then
- 1:21:16Speaker 6: there's a.
- 1:21:16Speaker 19: Guy videotaping him, and he doesn't know that the guy
- 1:21:20Speaker 19: is standing there.
- 1:21:21Speaker 6: And then it's like, oh, how are you going to
- 1:21:22Speaker 6: vote tomorrow?
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:21:23Speaker 17: I'm going to vote against it.
- 1:21:27Speaker 19: All of these guys are so dumb, and they're walking
- 1:21:29Speaker 19: into traps.
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: Right, but I'm just saying... This is the scenario, I think,
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: in the Epstein situation. And I would question, based on
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: what Pam Bondi said, who has all of these files?
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: I don't know that those files existed when she got there. Perhaps,
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: I mean, they were sitting around a long time. Who
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: knows who has them?
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: What happened to them?
- 1:21:51Speaker 19: Who were they manipulating as well?
- 1:21:55Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: Who has them? Where are they? And who's using them?
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: I mean, that would be the questions that I would have,
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: but I don't believe for a minute that Epstein committed suicide.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: I don't believe for a minute that it was all— I
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: think that there was a lot— it was so well-known, Lolita Express, Epstein,
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: a pedophile island, and all this kind of stuff. I mean,
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: before he was— brought to justice a second time, that
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: information was out there. And these people want to act like, oh, gee,
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: I had no idea. Like Hillary Clinton, when she said, boy,
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: I hardly knew Epstein. Well, then tell me what's Maxwell
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: doing at your daughter's wedding? Oh, I mean, the Clintons
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: are the best at playing dumb. Hey, who were you
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: in the hot tub with? Oh, I I mean, they're just,
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: of course, none of these people are going to admit
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: they did any of this. I get it.
- 1:22:50Speaker 17: No, they're never going to.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: They're never going to. I mean, he lied, obviously, with
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: Monica Lewinsky and all of them. I don't know. Listen,
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: I don't care if Trump was involved in it or not.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: If Trump was involved in it, then he should be
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: held accountable, too.
- 1:23:06Speaker 17: Right now, absolutely.
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: I mean, it doesn't matter to me if these are
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: Republicans or Democrats, but it's like an elitist attitude. We
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: can do whatever we want to do with whomever we
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: want to do, and there'll be no ramifications to it.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: And that is coming very much true, because nothing's legally
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: going to happen. And you're right, some of them will
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: get financial settlements on a civil lawsuit. But what about
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: a lawsuit outside of that instead of a settlement in
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: that case? Where's the justice that we deserve?
- 1:23:42Speaker 19: That's exactly true.
- 1:23:44Speaker 6: Where is it?
- 1:23:46Speaker 17: I get all that.
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: And I don't care what party you are.
- 1:23:49Speaker 19: If you participated, if you were involved in that, you
- 1:23:51Speaker 19: need strung up in.
- 1:23:52Speaker 6: The public square.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:23:54Speaker 19: I think it'd be really cheap to handle that situation
- 1:23:57Speaker 19: because I think you'd have enough people in the public
- 1:23:59Speaker 19: to be willing to take care of it for you.
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: People are mad.
- 1:24:03Speaker 9: They're disgusted.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: But don't you agree that we have... Double standard injustice
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: that basically these people are going to get away with it.
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: And I mean, when Trump said, oh, you're talking about
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: that old story. It was like, what the hell? You
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: reversed yourself. Are you kidding me?
- 1:24:19Speaker 6: That was extremely annoying.
- 1:24:22Speaker 19: I was very upset over that because he downplayed it,
- 1:24:25Speaker 19: but he definitely, definitely made it a talking point for
- 1:24:29Speaker 19: his campaign.
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: Right, and G2 said to me the day after that
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: happened on the air, he said to me he lost
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: a lot of supporters because of that. Because that's one
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: of the key things that people voted for him for
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: was the deep state, and now he's becoming a part
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: of it.
- 1:24:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: I mean, you've got to know.
- 1:24:50Speaker 17: And then you've got to think about the judges, right,
- 1:24:52Speaker 17: that are involved.
- 1:24:53Speaker 6: That would be prosecuting these cases. I mean, how much?
- 1:24:56Speaker 19: Well, that alone bothers me.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: Like I said to you before, don't you think I
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: should be able to go into a judge, front of
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: a judge? It shouldn't matter if you're a Democrat or Republican.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: I always grew up thinking a judge is a judge.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: He's going to hear the facts and make a decision
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: based on it. Now I'm at a point where everything's political,
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: and it's like you look at what happened with Trump because, oh,
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: I'm going to run for prosecutor, and I'm going to
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: get Trump, and these Democrat judges want to get Trump. Well,
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: that isn't justice. That's just a political witch hunt. They're
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: destroying the judicial system. We're going to put the best
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: and brightest brains on the Supreme Court to make these decisions.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: And then you look at who Biden appointed, and she's
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: just a dangling. I mean, so you're just– it's becoming–
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: and you're losing faith in so many of these systems
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: that it's just ridiculous. You're not seeing justice for the
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: victims of Epstein. You're seeing politics on a Supreme Court.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: You're seeing politics on federal courts. You're seeing a lot
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: of ridiculous stuff going on.
- 1:25:56Speaker 19: Well, you don't want people to feel like you might
- 1:25:59Speaker 19: as well not even vote because it doesn't matter.
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: Well, it does matter. There's a big difference between Vivek
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: and Amy Acton. I mean, there's still a big difference. Yes,
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: you do want to vote. It does make a difference.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: And even the parts I'm critical of Trump with... I
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: would vote for him over Biden again tomorrow. I'd vote
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: for him over Kamala Harris again tomorrow. I would vote
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: for him over Gavin Newsom again tomorrow. I would vote
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: for J.D. Vance. I would vote for..
- 1:26:27Speaker 12: I.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: Think Ron DeSantis is outstanding. I wish he could be
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: governor of Florida forever. I would vote for DeSantis. I'd
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: vote for... Uh, JD Vance, uh, there's a lot of people.
- 1:26:40Speaker 17: I think that's where it goes back to.
- 1:26:43Speaker 6: You are voting for the worst of the candidates. And
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: so when you look at Trump.
- 1:26:48Speaker 19: No matter his flaws, the other option is You couldn't
- 1:26:53Speaker 19: stand her worse.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: Well, I agree with a lot of what..
- 1:26:55Speaker 6: All of it with that.
- 1:26:56Speaker 19: And that was my point.
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: I agree with a lot of what the Republicans do
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: outside that.
- 1:27:02Speaker 11: Right.
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: But I also, at the same time, get upset with
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: the Republicans. They're like status quo. It's like, get off
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: your butt and put this stuff into law, these executive orders.
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: It's like, you know, if he gets out and a
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: Democrat takes over, they're going to reverse all this stuff,
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: for crying out loud.
- 1:27:17Speaker 6: Everything is going to get reversed.
- 1:27:19Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:27:19Speaker 6: I'm not happy with the... I'm not happy with the
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: Senate at all.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: All right. My therapy session is done. Thank you, doctor.
- 1:27:29Speaker 6: Bye-bye.
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 1:27:32Speaker 8: I don't know how I could go on. Boss lady
- 1:27:34Speaker 8: ain't happy.
- 1:27:35Speaker 7: What are we going to do, Ronnie?
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: Listen here, troublemaker. I was this close to a nervous breakdown.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: Now I'm better.
- 1:27:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I knew that.
- 1:27:46Speaker 8: Hey, she made some good points, though. Did I make any?
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: She made some. Did I make any?
- 1:27:53Speaker 8: Yeah, we're going to go over that.
- 1:27:55Speaker 9: We're going to have a report.
- 1:27:57Speaker 8: Don't you worry. But, yeah, like if you've got a
- 1:28:00Speaker 8: good mechanic, you know, you go to him to fix
- 1:28:05Speaker 8: your car, but you're not going to have him cook
- 1:28:08Speaker 8: you a meal, you know? Some people are good at
- 1:28:12Speaker 8: solving problems. political problems and government stuff, but, you know,
- 1:28:18Speaker 8: other things go on, too. And as far as Epstein,
- 1:28:23Speaker 8: I think you said he didn't commit suicide?
- 1:28:26Speaker 19: I don't.
- 1:28:26Speaker 9: He's with Michael Jackson.
- 1:28:29Speaker 8: They're down at the island somewhere.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: I'll tell you this much. In all reality, I never
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: bought any of that crap about Michael Jackson at all.
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: I know. I think to this, to this day, I
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: think that's what was all a bunch of damn nonsense,
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: but I believe, but I believe everything when it comes
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: to Epstein, it's, I'm just, I'm just the opposite.
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: But, but look how they came after, uh, Kavanaugh, you know,
- 1:28:54Speaker 8: like some lady that didn't even know him. And, um,
- 1:28:58Speaker 8: Twenty years later, they came after Trump in the dressing room.
- 1:29:04Speaker 8: Do you really think Trump would would be stupid enough
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: to do that or even just put himself in any
- 1:29:11Speaker 8: position where he would be, you know, going to the
- 1:29:15Speaker 8: island and doing anything bad?
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: No, I think that it's ridiculous. I don't think Trump
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: did that bit in the dressing room. I said a
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: million times. She wants to claim that he sexually assaulted
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: her in a department store dressing room, and she never
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: called the cops. She never screamed. She never come running
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: out of there. I think it's total, absolute BS. I
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: think it's complete nonsense. And how she won that, it
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: was just, he said, she said, I think it was
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: absolute insanity.
- 1:29:49Speaker 23: Yeah.
- 1:29:50Speaker 8: And even like the whole Epstein thing.
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: I mean, like in your case, have you ever had
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: another man accuse you of any type of sexual activity
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: in your case?
- 1:30:04Speaker 8: Well, I'm not attracted to men as you are, Ron.
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: Come on. Come on. It was a trick question.
- 1:30:09Speaker 7: Come on.
- 1:30:13Speaker 8: Don't make me bring out that porn account of yours. Hey,
- 1:30:19Speaker 8: I found out why the gas prices are so high, though.
- 1:30:24Speaker 9: The oil and that.
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:30:26Speaker 8: I was listening to the radio, and I don't really
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: go along with this guy's view, but Apparently, it's because
- 1:30:33Speaker 8: of the Zionist Jews.
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: I get so tired of him and that stuff. That's
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: why I said enough of it already. Enough of it already. Jesus.
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:30:47Speaker 8: Hey, but the boss lady, I think I told you before,
- 1:30:53Speaker 8: there should be... Like, just back in the old days,
- 1:30:56Speaker 8: the stockades in the public square, where people are humiliated,
- 1:31:01Speaker 8: not just online, but they're sitting there in a stockade
- 1:31:04Speaker 8: with their arms up, and people are throwing tomatoes at them.
- 1:31:08Speaker 8: If they broke the law, if you thought about breaking
- 1:31:12Speaker 8: the law, and that was the punishment, do you think
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: you would think twice instead of, you know, just getting, like,
- 1:31:19Speaker 8: bail and going free?
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: You're talking about, you mean public humiliation, kind of like
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: what I go through every day.
- 1:31:27Speaker 9: Yes, absolutely.
- 1:31:29Speaker 8: But, no, like a stockade. You know, do you think
- 1:31:32Speaker 8: people would commit crimes if they knew they were going
- 1:31:35Speaker 8: to be in, you know, like in the mall maybe
- 1:31:37Speaker 8: would be the, you know, public square now?
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: I don't think people will commit crimes. If you look
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: down the road and there's some state troopers sitting there,
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: are you going to speed?
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: It depends how fast my car is.
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: Okay, but the answer is no, because you don't want
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: to get a ticket. So, I mean, I think police
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: and punishment are deterrents. And like when you look at...
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: When they said, oh, we're not going to do much
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: if it's under $ 1, 000 and people shoplift. Well, what did
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: that do? That increased shoplifting. Or you got these stores
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: that didn't chase shoplifters out the door when they're carrying
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: a DeWalt saw and this kind of stuff.
- 1:32:24Speaker 8: And now the stores in that neighborhood are closing and
- 1:32:28Speaker 8: people are complaining. So Mondami is going to give them
- 1:32:31Speaker 8: free groceries. It's just an upside-down world. Hey, I wanted to.
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: Talk about the AI. How about what Ted the Conservative
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: said the other day when he was standing at a
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: checkout and he said he was watching with his own
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: eyes as the woman scanned every other item and was
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: basically stealing. And you're saying, well, there should be people
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: watching these video cameras as she's doing it. That's one
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: of the problems with self-checkouts is you got people trying
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: to just take advantage of it, and that's wrong.
- 1:33:05Speaker 8: Now that you said that, I saw a thing online
- 1:33:09Speaker 8: about how if you do the self-checkout and you don't
- 1:33:14Speaker 8: check your receipt, some lady went to, I think it
- 1:33:18Speaker 8: was Target, it could be any store, and she paid
- 1:33:22Speaker 8: for all her stuff. And it turns out that the
- 1:33:25Speaker 8: people that had the checkout right before had it set
- 1:33:29Speaker 8: up so she would pay for like half of their stuff.
- 1:33:33Speaker 8: You know, it just went on her charge card.
- 1:33:35Speaker 9: They figured it out.
- 1:33:36Speaker 8: So you got to, if you go to the cell checkout,
- 1:33:39Speaker 8: you got to check your receipt.
- 1:33:42Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: Is there anything else?
- 1:33:44Speaker 8: Well, I'd like to talk about AI.
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: All right. Stand by. I want to hear it. I'm back.
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: All right. The unknown caller wants to talk about AI. Hello.
- 1:33:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:33:57Speaker 8: Just the whole thing with the AI, you know, obviously
- 1:34:00Speaker 8: they need a lot of electricity, but they, the fact
- 1:34:03Speaker 8: that they need a lot of water, why can't they make,
- 1:34:07Speaker 8: you know, they're heating up the water to cool the
- 1:34:11Speaker 8: AI thing down.
- 1:34:12Speaker 9: Why can't they heat it.
- 1:34:13Speaker 8: Up a little bit more to drive electric turbines and
- 1:34:17Speaker 8: create their own electricity? It just seems like it would work,
- 1:34:22Speaker 8: but I'm no scientist. Have you any thoughts, Ron?
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: My initial thought is you are no scientist.
- 1:34:30Speaker 9: Yes, sir.
- 1:34:31Speaker 8: Well, that's what everybody says.
- 1:34:34Speaker 9: They usually call me doctor.
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: Yes, they usually call me Einstein at home.
- 1:34:40Speaker 8: But, I mean, if they're heating up the water anyhow.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know the answer. It takes
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: a lot of power. So they're talking about small nukes
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: or they're talking about their separate type gas-fired plants. I
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: don't know. Enough about how hot the water is or
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: any of the stuff that you're proposing on Known Caller.
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: You're beyond my capabilities.
- 1:35:07Speaker 8: I look to you for guidance, as all your callers do.
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: I know you do. I mean, I'm your fearless leader,
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: I understand. As we rule over the kingdom of Mahoning.
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: What's that?
- 1:35:18Speaker 7: My review?
- 1:35:19Speaker 8: My review for tonight's talking points?
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 1:35:23Speaker 8: Ron, I don't know, maybe a four or five. He
- 1:35:27Speaker 8: couldn't answer my questions.
- 1:35:28Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: And the unknown caller gets a ten once again, as always.
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: I got to go.
- 1:35:35Speaker 2: I know. He always has to go. You're on the air.
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: Good afternoon, sir.
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: It's Rich, the pharmacist.
- 1:35:43Speaker 12: Hi.
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: I think Iran is a quagmire, and it's becoming more
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: quagmire-ish as it goes along. Explain, please. We're not going
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: to extricate ourselves. Well, now you've got, I think the
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: president of Iran, I just read, resigned because he wasn't
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: being involved in the discussions with the Revolutionary Guard. That's
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: who's calling the shots.
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: Well, who's the president of Iran? I don't even know.
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: The president of Iran, basically you've got the military that,
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: He's calling all the shots, and he got the people
- 1:36:12Speaker 3: that are trying to run the government. The president of
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: Iran was one of the people who was trying to
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: run the government. And the problem is that the military
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: people don't want to make any concessions at all. They
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: think they're winning this war, which is hysterical. So he
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: just resigned because he wasn't involved in the decision-making. And
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: that's the problem. I think Trump's trying to negotiate with
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: people that are trying to run a government, Because you're
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: not going to negotiate with the people running the military.
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: They'll go down in flames. They'll turn to the kamikaze
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: type stuff, you know. It's like going back to Japan
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: and Germany. You were never going to negotiate with Nazis
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: and with the militarists in Japan to end the war.
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: They just weren't going to do it. And these people
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: aren't going to end the war. Maybe if you bomb
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: them back to the Stone Age. I don't know. I
- 1:37:03Speaker 3: don't see an easy way to get out of this
- 1:37:05Speaker 3: at this point. I just don't. And Trump keeps saying
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: they're going to make a deal. They're not going to
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: make any deal.
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: Well, he's been saying that for how long now? And
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: what's the definition of insanity? They say doing the same
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: thing again, expecting different results. Well, we already bombed a
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: living hell out of them. Not the bunker buster, which
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: seemed to me the bunker buster is effective. But then
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: we bombed a living hell out of them again. And, okay,
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: what makes you think if you do it another time
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: it's going to change anything?
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: You've taken out a lot of their military capacity. You've
- 1:37:33Speaker 3: taken out a lot of their military production. But you
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: haven't hit things that would hurt the people. If you remember,
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: I think it was, I think Kuwait and actually Israel
- 1:37:45Speaker 3: started hitting the energy infrastructure. Iran, if you took out
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: a couple of dams and a couple of dams refineries,
- 1:37:55Speaker 3: they have to import gasoline. They don't have enough domestic
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: production for gas.
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: What do you think? I'll stand by and hold that
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: thought back with Rich, a pharmacist, and more. Ron Ferb
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: with you until 6 tonight from the Kingdom of Honing,
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: NewsRadio 570.
- 1:38:08Speaker 10: NewsRadio 570 WKV.
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: All right, let's go back to Rich, the pharmacist. Are
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: you there?
- 1:38:16Speaker 13: No, that's me.
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Are you there?
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: Ron, you got me.
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: Okay, go ahead.
- 1:38:24Speaker 3: No, I just don't think there's an easy way out.
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: I think you could go back and try and start
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: hitting things that would really... put a hurt on the people,
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: hoping that they would then uprise and overthrow the government.
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: But the government has the rifles, and the people don't.
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: And what makes you think the majority would want to
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: do that?
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: Oh, they do. There's not a doubt in my mind
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: that the majority of these people would love to get
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: rid of these religious nutjobs that are running the country.
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: Most of the polling has shown that for years.
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: I don't believe that at all. I really don't. I
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: don't know.
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: If you start researching it, you will. The average Iranian
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: has been decimated by this government. They're in the poorhouse.
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: I mean, if you think we have inflation, it's in
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: the thousands of a percent over there. Those people have
- 1:39:12Speaker 3: lost everything the last 20 or 30 years. So the
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: average Iranian would love to see this all come to
- 1:39:20Speaker 3: an end and go back to being normal again.
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: I don't know. I go back to my initial thing
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: that I once said to you. I don't assume they
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: think like you think. It's a whole different world, part
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: of the world. It's a whole different culture. It's a
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: whole different religion. It's a whole different mentality. And I
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: just think that, too, I think we like to think
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: that they think like we do. Well, I'm sure there's
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: a portion of people that probably think like that. But
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: what is that percentage? I don't know. Could it be
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: 10 percent? Could it be 50 percent? Could it be
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: 20 percent?
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: It's hard to say. When you barely have enough money
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: to eat, most people are going to want change. And
- 1:39:54Speaker 3: that's where they're at over there. The average Iranian is
- 1:39:57Speaker 3: struggling just to survive, just to have enough calories to
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: put in his body so they don't begin starvation. It's bad.
- 1:40:05Speaker 3: We don't realize how good we have it until you
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: start looking around.
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: I'm not comparing it. This is a whole different world.
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:40:11Speaker 3: I'm just saying. I would say 8 out of 10
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: people would love to just start anew. Get rid of
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: these people and just have a normal government.
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: I mean, does any of this surprise you that it's
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: a mess? I mean, I don't know how to address
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: this other than to say none of this surprises me.
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: And I'm sorry, you've got to lay this right at
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: the foot of Trump. And whether he was influenced by
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: Netanyahu or Israel, it starts with Trump, and he made
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: this decision. And he was against regime change and getting
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: involved in the Middle East, and it is a true mess.
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: And it's an absolute mess. And if you listen to
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: that Art Berman and that kind of stuff, they're telling
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: you that you will never see it like it used
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: to be. And now I'm not an oil expert. These
- 1:40:56Speaker 2: guys are as far as the finances of things. And
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: they say what he has done is going to have
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: effects for years and years and years on the entire
- 1:41:08Speaker 2: oil industry and what you pay.
- 1:41:12Speaker 3: Well, the market always wins in the end when it
- 1:41:15Speaker 3: comes to oil. So if there's money to be made
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: producing oil, the market will win. It may not be
- 1:41:23Speaker 3: the same, but the market will figure it out, and
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: they will get supply to the people at the price
- 1:41:28Speaker 3: that it needs to be sold at. Right now, this
- 1:41:31Speaker 3: is sort of, I think, who was it, Yogi Bear?
- 1:41:33Speaker 3: I think he said it's like deja vu all over again.
- 1:41:35Speaker 3: It's starting to remind me a lot of 2003 and
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: George Bush. Where winning the war was the easy part.
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: We went in and kicked the crap out of the
- 1:41:43Speaker 3: Iraqi army. You know, that was easy. It was winning
- 1:41:46Speaker 3: the peace that took them, you know, the next five, six,
- 1:41:48Speaker 3: eight years. Until we finally just basically said, kind of
- 1:41:52Speaker 3: got it a little bit under control, turned it over
- 1:41:54Speaker 3: to what an Iraqi puppet government we installed, and then
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: we got the heck out of there. And was it,
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: you know, at that point, was it worth all the,
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: I mean, thousands of, thousands of lives lost there. This, thankfully,
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: so far, has been relatively bloodless. I mean, we think
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: we've lost 14, 15 guys, something like that, which is
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: still tragic. I mean, especially if it's your kid, I
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: couldn't imagine. But thus far, you know, from a personnel standpoint,
- 1:42:18Speaker 3: it really hasn't been that significant loss-wise. But winning this
- 1:42:22Speaker 3: piece is going to be a lot more difficult, I think.
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: It's a nuclear bomb, and as a smaller regional power,
- 1:42:29Speaker 3: it was worth it. If this drags on two or three.
- 1:42:31Speaker 2: Years, it's not going to be worth it. Well, we'll see.
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: I don't think this is worth it at all. I
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: really don't. And I hope I'm wrong. I think this
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: is a major mistake. I think we're all going to
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: pay dearly for it financially for quite some time. I
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: don't think it's going to be anywhere close to what
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: they're saying to you. I think gas.
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: Is headed higher. I mean, I think gas by after
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: 4th of July is going to be substantially more expensive.
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: You're probably looking at six bucks a gallon.
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: Well, what do you think that's going to do to
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: the economy? As, as I've said, what do you think
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: is going to happen? I don't know. I just, like
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: I said, I just look at those oil experts. I
- 1:43:11Speaker 2: don't know the oil business. They do. They're not running BP. They're,
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: they're the analysts from afar. And, and, Two of the
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: four that I've read, the top four, all say that
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: this was a huge mistake, a giant mess, and it's
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: just going to create problems for years and decades to come. Basically,
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: they're saying things will never go back to how they were.
- 1:43:34Speaker 2: If you think they are, then you're fooling yourself, and
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: you're not going to see $ 90 barrels of oil. I
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: don't know. I hope they're wrong, but right now, they
- 1:43:45Speaker 2: basically say there's an oil shortage going on.
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: People are totally.
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: Oblivious to it. So much oil is off out of
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: the out of the oil stream and it will affect
- 1:43:58Speaker 2: the United States. They they seem to say people seem
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: to think it's not going to affect us. And they said, well,
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: you're you're absolutely wrong. It's going to affect you as
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: far as. The cost of gas?
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: Ron, this is simple. Call Economics 101. It's supply and demand.
- 1:44:14Speaker 3: We took a lot of supply off the market. One
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: out of every five barrels produced in the world.
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: Well, you tell the people, though, if they're paying five
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: or six bucks a gallon, and some of these people
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: are saying you could see 6% inflation in the second quarter,
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: you go convince them how this was worth it. You
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: go convince everybody this was worth it, because I wasn't
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: staying up at night worrying about Iran and a nuclear threat.
- 1:44:37Speaker 2: I think the bunker buster was effective, quite frankly. I
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: think this was just a, well, I just think this
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: was a mistake. I think he was influenced by the
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: wrong people.
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: Well, one of the reasons I really wanted a call, though,
- 1:44:51Speaker 3: was I think I figured out the whole Eastgate, or
- 1:44:55Speaker 3: not Eastgate, Eastern Gateway building issue. Because I went down
- 1:45:00Speaker 3: today at the Eastgate Council of Governments had a big
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: meeting today, and Trevina, the director of the Port Authority,
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: was there. And he was the lead presenter, and he
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: was talking about how they got the Eastern, how the
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: Port Authority ended up with the Eastern Gateway Building. And
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: the state gave it to them for a dollar. And
- 1:45:20Speaker 3: he said, that sounds like a good deal, but it's
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: costing us dearly. They're spending, I think it was either
- 1:45:24Speaker 3: $ 20, 000 or $ 25, 000 a month just in utilities on that building.
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: So my theory is they got something. They were given
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: something by the state who was probably glad to get
- 1:45:35Speaker 3: rid of it. They took it. Kind of have a
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: little bit of buyer's remorse since they're paying $ 25, 000 a
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: month to run the utilities. And then along comes, you know,
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: Geno and the county, and they're like, hey, we'll do it.
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: So I think, you know, they kind of gave it
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: to those suckers to get off their hands so they
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: can wreck it and be rid of it. That's my theory.
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: That makes perfect sense to me. I was watching a
- 1:45:57Speaker 2: video once, and I thought it was in Pittsburgh, where
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: there was some of these big office buildings, and they
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: were talking to one of the big developers in Pittsburgh
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: that has these buildings. And there was one of the
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: bank buildings down there that was going to be vacant,
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: the whole building. The bank was getting out of it.
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: And they asked him about if they would give you
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: this building, would you take it? And he said, absolutely not.
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: And you thought, well, it's a nice-looking building. Why is that?
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: He said, well, first of all, if you've got to
- 1:46:31Speaker 2: get tenants in a building that big, you've got to
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: heat everything. You've got to cool everything. You've got maintenance
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: on it that whole time. And if you're able to
- 1:46:43Speaker 2: get the building rented, a building that big, he said,
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: in the first place. And then what was the other
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: reason that he was– Oh, and if you can't do
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: that and you're responsible for taking it down, the cost
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: in that is phenomenal.
- 1:46:58Speaker 3: Oh, I think the budget I've heard for tearing down
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: that Eastern Gateway building is around $ 3. 5 million. That's just
- 1:47:07Speaker 3: to tear down a building before you start building the
- 1:47:10Speaker 3: $ 60 million-plus new one.
- 1:47:12Speaker 2: Yeah, because I don't know if there's asbestos in that
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: or not. I would think based.
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: On its age. From what I've heard, there's something about
- 1:47:20Speaker 3: pre-stressed concrete beams that if you start to demolish them,
- 1:47:23Speaker 3: they kind of explode outward. And that building supposedly has
- 1:47:28Speaker 3: a lot of pre-stressed concrete in it. And that the
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: beams are actually failing. That's why they have to take
- 1:47:33Speaker 3: it down, because the beams have started to sag or
- 1:47:36Speaker 3: fail or what have you.
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: The sad part about the whole damn thing is that
- 1:47:39Speaker 2: the taxpayers, you get on the hook with the cost
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: of this, and everything goes over what the projections are.
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: I'm sorry, demolition and the building. These projections are never accurate.
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: It's always cost more. And you're on the hook for
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: it in the bonds, and you've had absolutely no say-so
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: on it. Zero say-so on it.
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: Well, even the people that have say so, though, at WRTA,
- 1:48:01Speaker 3: I found out, I think they have 47 of the
- 1:48:03Speaker 3: big buses. They're going to replace every single one of
- 1:48:07Speaker 3: them with an electric bus. An electric bus costs $ 1. 4 million.
- 1:48:11Speaker 3: A gas bus is about $ 800, 000.
- 1:48:13Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: And I can tell you why. Once again, they got
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: so much money coming in, they don't know what to
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: do with it.
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: It every year. So it's all, I mean, and everything's
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: a grant. All these buses are federal grants, the charging infrastructure.
- 1:48:26Speaker 3: I think they're putting like one and a half million
- 1:48:28Speaker 3: dollars into a chart. You know, say they have plugs
- 1:48:32Speaker 3: to plug the buses in.
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: If we're bitching about AI in the problem with energy
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: and electricity, uh, Well, why would you think the answer
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: is to get more stuff to plug into the grid?
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: I mean, where's the thinking here?
- 1:48:45Speaker 3: Well, that's another thing. They got a $ 2 million grant
- 1:48:48Speaker 3: to put solar panels on the roofs down there so
- 1:48:50Speaker 3: they can help charge the buses. But what nobody realizes
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: when you look at all these grants..
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: $ 10 million a year in a quarter percent sales tax
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: for WRTA... And it could be more than that as
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: prices go up. So they're sitting every year with this
- 1:49:08Speaker 2: money coming in. What do we do with all of this?
- 1:49:12Speaker 2: I mean, seriously, their biggest problem is let's add on
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: to the garage. Let's replace all the buses with electric buses,
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: which is stupid. And let's plug them into the grid
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: or use solar panels. You tell me.
- 1:49:28Speaker 3: But it's all federal. All of this stuff is done
- 1:49:31Speaker 3: by federal money. The Port Authority just built this thing.
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: If you look at it from the air, it looks
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: like a C-130. It's a giant park. I guess they
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: worry about the approaches to the airport, so they have
- 1:49:41Speaker 3: to make sure that there's no trees or anything grow tall.
- 1:49:45Speaker 3: So it looks like a field that was farmed. I
- 1:49:48Speaker 3: could be wrong, but it looks like a farmer had
- 1:49:51Speaker 3: a field and something like that. Instead, they get some grant.
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: They build a park with walking trails because we need
- 1:49:57Speaker 3: more walking trails in this area. Apparently, Mill Creek Park
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: and the state parks aren't enough, so they build this
- 1:50:02Speaker 3: brand-new park. They take the millings because they're spending $ 30 million,
- 1:50:07Speaker 3: all grant money except for $ 3 million local, to resurface
- 1:50:11Speaker 3: the runways out at the Youngstown Airport. $ 30 million. Now, granted,
- 1:50:17Speaker 3: that's a big economic driver in this area, so I
- 1:50:19Speaker 3: guess maybe it needs to be done. But it's all
- 1:50:22Speaker 3: our money in the end, but nobody seems to look
- 1:50:24Speaker 3: at that. The theory is just it's sort of like
- 1:50:28Speaker 3: hogs at a trough. If I'm there, I'm going to
- 1:50:29Speaker 3: eat as much of the food as I can because
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: if I don't eat it, the next pig will. But
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: nobody looks at basically taking the trough away. And that's
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: the biggest problem we have.
- 1:50:39Speaker 2: Right. We piss away so much money. Can you imagine?
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: That's why I say WRTA, all the money that they
- 1:50:46Speaker 2: get should be funding the county ambulance service. It shouldn't
- 1:50:50Speaker 2: be on every township and every community. It should be
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: countywide and without charging anybody any extra money coming out
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: of that sales tax money. If you had leadership that
- 1:50:59Speaker 2: could say, legally, how do we do this and how
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: can we finagle it into this direction? Because this is
- 1:51:06Speaker 2: so disgusting.
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: If you go to a meeting like I was at
- 1:51:09Speaker 3: this morning, you will quickly come away with the fact
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: that we do not have a... tax revenue problem in
- 1:51:18Speaker 3: this country. We have a spending problem. There's more than
- 1:51:21Speaker 3: enough tax money. If you look at the boondoggle stuff
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: that some of this is wasted on, and it's just
- 1:51:26Speaker 3: ridiculous stuff. I can't tell you how many bike trails
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: and bike lanes and bike stuff. I mean, we live
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: in Northeast Ohio. From November till April, most people are
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: not riding a bike anywhere.
- 1:51:40Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:51:42Speaker 3: And it's not like we live in a dense urban
- 1:51:44Speaker 3: environment like New York City or, you know, the coastal
- 1:51:47Speaker 3: cities where you can ride a bike and get around town.
- 1:51:49Speaker 3: Most of the places around here, if you're riding from
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: your house, you want to go shopping in Baltimore or Austin,
- 1:51:53Speaker 3: you're not taking a bike.
- 1:51:54Speaker 2: Well, why would you take the bus? It's free. We
- 1:51:56Speaker 2: don't even charge anymore. We've got so much money coming in.
- 1:51:59Speaker 3: Even with that, though, by the time you hop on
- 1:52:01Speaker 3: the bus, you take the bus over there, you do
- 1:52:03Speaker 3: your shopping, come back, your day's shot. You've probably chewed
- 1:52:06Speaker 3: up five or six hours of your day just taking
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: the stupid bus.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: Well, they got the loop. But I'm glad you go
- 1:52:12Speaker 2: to these meetings because somebody like you goes there and
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: you say, this is such bull crap. It's got to
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: be so discouraging as a taxpayer.
- 1:52:21Speaker 3: And I mean, not to knock the people that are there.
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: I think the people that are running the organizations are
- 1:52:27Speaker 3: doing what they think is best and doing well. But
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: there's nobody looking at the overall picture. There's nobody looking
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: at this is all or in the end, it's all
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: of our money that they're spending. Whether it comes from
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: the federal government, the state government, or the local government. Eventually,
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: it was money that was taken out of my pocket
- 1:52:44Speaker 3: and your pocket and every other citizen that pays taxes' pocket.
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: Many of these private sector businesses are not really private
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: sector businesses. They're businesses that are functioning because of government money.
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: Bill Cunningham, two weeks ago, the woman was on there
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: talking about all the fraud with the communities as far
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: as what the health care or hospice care and autism
- 1:53:12Speaker 2: and all this kind of stuff that's going on and
- 1:53:14Speaker 2: all of money that was just being pilfered out of
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: Medicaid and those programs. I mean, it's depressing.
- 1:53:24Speaker 3: When I'm walking in, I'm walking past the old, because
- 1:53:27Speaker 3: it's in City Center 1 where Eastgate meets. I'm walking past,
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: I park my car, I'm walking past, there's a big
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: for lease sign next to the old, I think it
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: was the IBM building. And I'm thinking, why couldn't county
- 1:53:38Speaker 3: government go in there? It's an empty building. It says
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: for lease on it. Go knock on the door and
- 1:53:44Speaker 3: ask what they're charging.
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: Everything's got to be downtown. I was trying to figure out,
- 1:53:50Speaker 2: what is up with renting the... Did you read that
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: article about the bottom dollar in the Board of Elections
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: and it would only cost us this much to rent? Well,
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: why are we renting?
- 1:54:02Speaker 3: Well, it's the Dave Beatrice boondoggle. That's what I'd like
- 1:54:05Speaker 3: to refer to that as. Because for some reason, Dave
- 1:54:08Speaker 3: and the Democrats probably don't want to upset the voters
- 1:54:11Speaker 3: in the city of Youngstown who are mostly Democrats and
- 1:54:14Speaker 3: move the Board of Elections out of the city. So
- 1:54:17Speaker 3: they're looking at the bottom dollar. And the Port Authority
- 1:54:20Speaker 3: is going to buy that building because I guess that's
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: what the Port Authority is. It's into the landlord business.
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: And the county rents it from them?
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: And then the county will fix it up and the
- 1:54:30Speaker 3: county will rent it from them.
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: Well, why doesn't the county just buy it itself?
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: Well, probably because they probably don't have the finances, I
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: would assume.
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: I mean, so you're stuck paying rent.
- 1:54:43Speaker 3: Name me an easy way to get to that location.
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: It's a horrible idea. The Patriot Building is a far
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: better idea.
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: Anyplace else is a far better idea. You couldn't be
- 1:54:57Speaker 3: further away from the vast majority of county residents than
- 1:55:01Speaker 3: you are in Fosterville, where that's at.
- 1:55:03Speaker 14: Yep.
- 1:55:05Speaker 3: And it's not a great area to begin with. But,
- 1:55:07Speaker 3: I mean, to take a building that sat vacant for, what, 15,
- 1:55:10Speaker 3: 20 years probably needs all new heating.
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: It's not 15 or 20 years. I don't think it's
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: been that long. But is it a good location? No,
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: it really isn't.
- 1:55:21Speaker 3: It's terrible.
- 1:55:21Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: It's terrible. But it just seems like nobody cares. Nobody
- 1:55:26Speaker 3: looks at the big picture. I think the Port Authority
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: is doing the Eastern Gateway thing because they just want
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: rid of the building so they don't have to pay
- 1:55:34Speaker 3: $ 25, 000 a month in utilities.
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: There you have it.
- 1:55:36Speaker 3: That's the take I got from it. Hey, thanks. And
- 1:55:38Speaker 3: Gino and the other two numbnuts were dumb enough to
- 1:55:40Speaker 3: fall for it.
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: You got it. Back in a minute. Thank you, Rich.
- 1:55:43Speaker 2: Your pharmacist, Ron Verb, till 6, Rockport Show at 6.
- 1:55:46Speaker 10: Towns News, Weather, and Talk Station, 570 WKBN.
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: All right so you're on the air hello you know
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: i'm here on the air hello didn't.
- 1:56:08Speaker 23: You want to talk to me today sure i want
- 1:56:10Speaker 23: to talk to you and the last call lasted about
- 1:56:14Speaker 23: forty minutes my god what what did you say they
- 1:56:18Speaker 23: called you at home einstein yes that you go.
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: No it was einstein whenever i put something together my
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: wife says good going einstein.
- 1:56:32Speaker 23: And you don't catch on to that humor, do you?
- 1:56:34Speaker 2: No, I thought it was a compliment, actually. I was
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: a little bit shocked that apparently it isn't. I mean,
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: I said, well, thanks. I just assumed. But apparently, I see.
- 1:56:51Speaker 23: I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh.
- 1:56:54Speaker 2: I know, but I mean, maybe you could have clued
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: me in on it earlier before, you know, I..
- 1:57:00Speaker 23: I thought maybe Frankenstein or Igor would have fit, but,
- 1:57:04Speaker 23: you know, with her facetiousness, she's a gem.
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: Is that what she is, huh? What's on your mind,
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: my friends?
- 1:57:17Speaker 23: Okay, I got three things to say today, and I'll
- 1:57:20Speaker 23: let you go. I got about two minutes at the most.
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead.
- 1:57:25Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:57:27Speaker 23: Guess whose name is coming off of the Kennedy Center?
- 1:57:30Speaker 2: Trump, and I'm glad it is.
- 1:57:32Speaker 23: Thank God in heaven Jesus saved us. And she blocks
- 1:57:38Speaker 23: payouts from Trump's $ 1. 7 billion allies fund. You know that's
- 1:57:43Speaker 23: been blocked. Our little conversation Friday.
- 1:57:47Speaker 14: Are you still there?
- 1:57:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm glad that they said, I was never for
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: the Kennedy Trump Center fund. His name doesn't belong on there,
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: and I'm glad it's coming up.
- 1:57:58Speaker 23: I'm talking about this payout. The $ 1. 7 billion payout has
- 1:58:02Speaker 23: been put on hold by judges, and his tax fiasco
- 1:58:09Speaker 23: that he's trying to create, that's also been put on hold.
- 1:58:12Speaker 23: That was our conversation on Friday, and I said I
- 1:58:15Speaker 23: was going to do a little digging. Well, I did
- 1:58:17Speaker 23: a little digging, and I even had it on your
- 1:58:19Speaker 23: newscast if you were listening to it.
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: You're talking about the IRS settlements. Right.
- 1:58:28Speaker 23: I'm talking about the settlement to the insurrectionists that wanted
- 1:58:35Speaker 23: their money because they were being weaponized by the government.
- 1:58:39Speaker 23: But guess what? Even your Republican buddies are saying, hold on, buddy,
- 1:58:43Speaker 23: hold on. We're not going to do that. So those
- 1:58:47Speaker 23: were the three things I wanted to bring up.
- 1:58:49Speaker 2: I mean..
- 1:58:51Speaker 7: Winning, winning.
- 1:58:52Speaker 23: His tariffs are gone. His name's off the building. This
- 1:58:56Speaker 23: weaponization thing is... I don't think it's going to go through.
- 1:59:00Speaker 23: I hope not. And there we have it.
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: Well, listen, we'll see what the outcome is as far as... funding. Remember,
- 1:59:13Speaker 2: as I explained to you, why that exists. I mean,
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: he was done an injustice by somebody who stole his
- 1:59:18Speaker 2: private information and published it.
- 1:59:20Speaker 23: No, but I mean, he doesn't want anything in.
- 1:59:25Speaker 2: I saw that. I saw that. I saw that.
- 1:59:29Speaker 23: Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?
- 1:59:31Speaker 2: Well, I disagree with it personally. I'm mixed on it.
- 1:59:35Speaker 2: I totally disagree with it because I think it would
- 1:59:37Speaker 2: be bitching if Biden did that with his family. But
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: on the other hand, I'm saying, look at what they
- 1:59:42Speaker 2: put this man and his family through. They tried debanking
- 1:59:45Speaker 2: him and all this kind of stuff. And he's saying. Oh,
- 1:59:47Speaker 2: good God. I mean, look at what they put him through.
- 1:59:50Speaker 2: As a matter of fact, I would like to talk.
- 1:59:52Speaker 2: You call me tomorrow, and I want to get you
- 1:59:55Speaker 2: on sooner, and I want to talk to you a
- 1:59:57Speaker 2: longer period of time about that subject. And then I'm
- 2:00:02Speaker 2: going to ask you a question, because I was saying
- 2:00:05Speaker 2: to the boss lady, I'm totally opposed to this having
- 2:00:07Speaker 2: this wrestling or fighting thing at the White House as well.
- 2:00:10Speaker 23: That is totally ridiculous. Who wants to put on a
- 2:00:15Speaker 23: fight on the front lawn of the White House? Who
- 2:00:17Speaker 23: wants to do that? What kind of an idiot would
- 2:00:21Speaker 23: put that on? I agree a thousand percent. That is
- 2:00:24Speaker 23: the stupidest thing ever.
- 2:00:27Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 2:00:29Speaker 7: All right.
- 2:00:29Speaker 11: Thanks.
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: Thank you, my friend. I appreciate your call, as always.
- 2:00:32Speaker 2: I look forward to talking to you tomorrow. Call tomorrow,
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: and let's talk about that subject. Call earlier in the program,
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: because I would like to spend some time with you.
- 2:00:39Speaker 13: All right.
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: All right. That should be an interesting subject, actually. NewsRadio 570.
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: We're going to pause for the headlines at 6 o'clock.
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: From the Kingdom of Mahoning and in the Rockport Truth
- 2:00:49Speaker 2: in Investing program is coming up momentarily, so stand by
- 2:00:53Speaker 2: for that.
- 2:00:59Speaker 11: From ABC News, I'm Michelle Franzen. After Iran's state media
- 2:01:03Speaker 11: signal talks were off between the U.S. and Iran due
- 2:01:06Speaker 11: to ongoing Israeli strikes in Lebanon, President Trump says he
- 2:01:09Speaker 11: made separate calls to Israelis Prime Minister and Hezbollah mediators,
- 2:01:13Speaker 11: and both sides have agreed not to attack the other.
- 2:01:15Speaker 11: ABC's Karen Travers says the president indicated talks with Iran
- 2:01:19Speaker 11: are still going and moving rapidly.
- 2:01:21Speaker 15: We haven't heard from the Iranians anything to indicate that
- 2:01:23Speaker 15: things are back on. And really, even the on-off, what
- 2:01:27Speaker 15: is happening, the substance is still very complicated.
- 2:01:30Speaker 6: There are still.
- 2:01:31Speaker 15: Significant sticking points that have to be reworked. And the
- 2:01:34Speaker 15: president had sent changes back to Iran that so far
- 2:01:37Speaker 15: they have not addressed or weighed in on.
- 2:01:39Speaker 11: The Justice Department says it will abide by a Virginia
- 2:01:42Speaker 11: judge's ruling that temporarily ordered the $ 1. 8 billion fund to
- 2:01:45Speaker 11: be frozen amid litigation.
- 2:01:47Speaker 16: A social media post from the Justice Department says officials
- 2:01:50Speaker 16: strongly disagree with last week's ruling by a federal judge
- 2:01:53Speaker 16: in Virginia temporarily freezing the fund pending a hearing she
- 2:01:56Speaker 16: set for the end of next week. The department says
- 2:01:59Speaker 16: it will abide by that ruling. That, as more congressional
- 2:02:02Speaker 16: Republicans express their opposition to the idea of handing out
- 2:02:05Speaker 16: up to $ 1. 8 billion of taxpayer money, to those who
- 2:02:08Speaker 16: have been accused of or convicted of crimes.
- 2:02:10Speaker 11: ABC's Stephen Portnoy. The state of Florida announcing it's suing
- 2:02:14Speaker 11: OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman. The suit claiming the company
- 2:02:17Speaker 11: says the company knowingly released an aggressively marketed Chad GPT
- 2:02:21Speaker 11: to the public, including young users, while concealing serious risks.
- 2:02:25Speaker 11: Florida Attorney General James Uthmeyer alleges the company suppressed internal
- 2:02:29Speaker 11: safety warnings and deceived users about the true nature and
- 2:02:32Speaker 11: dangers of the product.
- 2:02:33Speaker 12: People are getting hurt, parents are getting deceived, and they
- 2:02:37Speaker 12: need to pay for it.
- 2:02:38Speaker 11: OpenAI tells ABC News it already has safety measures in
- 2:02:41Speaker 11: place to redirect people to mental health resources if it
- 2:02:43Speaker 11: detects them going down a dark path, adding it's committed
- 2:02:46Speaker 11: to getting this right. Health officials are working to trace
- 2:02:49Speaker 11: the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. More
- 2:02:52Speaker 11: than 1,000 suspected cases now exist. You're listening to ABC News.
- 2:03:00Speaker 2: News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 2:03:08Speaker 24: From ABC News, I'm Chuck Sievertson. He couldn't care less
- 2:03:12Speaker 24: if Iran resumes talks with the U.S. after cutting them
- 2:03:15Speaker 24: off earlier today, says President Trump. ABC News White House
- 2:03:18Speaker 24: correspondent Karen Travers.
- 2:03:20Speaker 15: We haven't heard from the Iranians anything to indicate that
- 2:03:23Speaker 15: things are back on. And really, even the on-off, what
- 2:03:27Speaker 15: is happening, the substance is still very complicated. There are
- 2:03:30Speaker 15: still significant sticking points that have to be reworked. And
- 2:03:33Speaker 15: the president had sent changes back to Iran that so
- 2:03:36Speaker 15: far they have not addressed or weighed in on.
- 2:03:38Speaker 24: President Trump says Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu told him that
- 2:03:42Speaker 24: Israel will not send troops into Beirut or attack Lebanon.
- 2:03:45Speaker 24: Trump also said that in a phone call with Hezbollah,
- 2:03:48Speaker 24: the Iran-backed militants agreed to stop attacks on Israel. The
- 2:03:51Speaker 24: Justice Department says it will abide by a federal judge's
- 2:03:54Speaker 24: temporary freezing of the Trump administration's special $ 1. 8 billion fund.
- 2:03:59Speaker 24: ABC's Stephen Portnoy in Washington.
- 2:04:01Speaker 16: A social media post from the Justice Department says officials
- 2:04:04Speaker 16: strongly disagree with last week's ruling by a federal judge

- 2:04:25Speaker 24: The state of Florida suing OpenAI, claiming the company knowingly
- 2:04:28Speaker 24: released an aggressively marketed chat GPT while concealing serious risks.
- 2:04:33Speaker 24: In a news conference today, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeyer
- 2:04:36Speaker 24: says that chat GPT was used by the gunman in
- 2:04:40Speaker 24: last year's deadly mass shooting at Florida State University.
- 2:04:43Speaker 12: He asked chat GPT questions about what type of gun
- 2:04:46Speaker 12: to use, providing photographs and getting advice. He asked what
- 2:04:52Speaker 12: ammunition went with which weapon, what time of day and
- 2:04:57Speaker 12: where on campus he might be able to encounter ammunition.
