The Right of Way
Aired: Sep 26th, 1952. A railroad surveyor arrives in Dodge City with federal orders to clear a widow's homestead for the transcontinental line, but Libby Sager isn't moving for progress, paperwork, or anyone else. Marshal Matt Dillon is caught between the law he's sworn to enforce and a fierce old friend who buried her husband on that land and swore she'd never leave it. A tense, character-driven standoff about what progress costs the people standing in its path.
