- Chandler: Welcome back to Run After Cast, the College Football Podcast. Back with another Pick'em and Predictions episode for you guys this week, week two of college football. To recap on how this flow of the show will work. We'll list off the game of the week. We'll have these boys guess the line and the overunder. We'll give what the correct over under line was, and then we'll all go through what our score predictions of the week are. So to kick us off, we have Missouri at Kansas at seven PM on Friday. Ryan, take us away. What you got? Ryan: I think the spread is gonna be Missouri by seven and the over under forty nine and a half. Aaron: So I have I'm Aaron by the way. I have Missouri by six, with the over-under being fifty. So in the same ballpark. Chandler: Missouri by five and a half and over under fifty and a half. Aaron: Okay. Ryan: Okay, so think it's to be kind of close. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: I think Missouri is pretty good still. I like Austin Simmons. I think that they are a little bit worse that they don't have Ahmad Hardy 'cause he got shot in leg. I think Missouri covers here. I'm gonna say the score is thirty four twenty four. Aaron: I do like Missouri this year. But I do have Kansas as a team because look Missouri and Kansas, they don't like each other. This Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: is one of those rivalries that kind of gets taken off the stove from time to time, but then when it comes back, it's already boiling. So I expect this to be a hot tempered game. I expect this to be a very physical game. I think Kansas does show up prepared. I don't think it's enough for them. I think Missouri still has the composure. to be able to pull it off, but I think it's close. I think it's gonna be an exciting one. I am looking forward to tuning in for it. But I have the final score being twenty eight twenty one Missouri. So a one score game. Ryan: I like it. I like it. Chandler: I got thirty-one twenty-four Missouri. I think Missouri handles business. You know, not nothing much to it. Just this was the heart saying. It's all it is. Aaron: No, and I I Ryan: Mm. Aaron: I don't disagree with that take. I there is there's definitely something I see where Missouri does come in here to handle it. I'm I'm leaning more into the Kansas b is a little disruptive with how much they want to win. Ryan: Yeah, I think it'll be a good game. But yeah, I th I think it's gonna be it's gonna be close. It's gonna close. And they're gonna play hard. Chandler: Especially those Friday night games. Any day that's not a Saturday, I just always have a weird feeling about the games that aren't played on the traditional Saturday slot. So Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: like the Sunday, the like Old Miss, like that was a little closer than you know. If they play that on Saturday, maybe Old Miss beats them by three touchdowns. So next we have Arizona State and Texas AM. Aaron, what you got? Aaron: That's right, I'm up. So this one I have the line at fourteen AM over under at fifty. Ryan: I have Texas AM sixteen and a half and over under fifty-four and a half. Chandler: Aaron almost got it correctly. It was Aaron: Ooh. Chandler: Texan forteen and a half over under fifty and a half. So again, y'all are y'all the the halves. You gotta throw out the halves. Almost all of are always halves. Aaron: I know, I know. I do think about it. Now every time every time I write it down, then I'm like, no, maybe this time I'll hold it off and then it's always a half. but no, I do have this game. I think AM does handle business here. I think Arizona State is playing well. I think they will show up. I think they will put points up on the board. I just think AM is gonna have the pieces they need. to keep out in front of this thing the whole time. I think first half we may see a little sloppier play out of AM. Just getting used, I think they will have Arizona State playing very well, playing very equally, but I think they pull away in the second half and don't look back. So I have it 3817 AM. Ryan: Yeah, I think Arizona State's a good football team, but I think Texas AM is just a better football team. So I'm gonna say thirty five seventeen, Texas AM. Chandler: all throwing out seventeen, so mine's thirty one seventeen. Aaron: Okay, so so we're all within about a score of each other. Chandler: Yes. Okay. W next we have Oklahoma versus Michigan. This is you. This is Ryan: Is this one me? yeah. Aaron: yeah. Ryan: This is going to be a massacre. I think the line's gonna be like Oklahoma by thirty-five in Chandler: Okay. Ryan: the over under probably like fifty five and a half. Aaron: see, I'm on the other side that I think Vegas is wrong here. I think they're looking at stats and not mentality. I think they have this as a close game at this going to Oklahoma with 7.5 and over under at 45. Chandler: What'd you say your line was, Ryan? Ryan: thirty five, Oklahoma. Fifty Chandler: No, no, you're your your Ryan: five and a half. Chandler: You wait, you think it's thirty five the line is thirty five? Yikes. Probably what it'll end up being, but not anywhere Aaron: yeah. Chandler: close. Oklahoma favored by five and a half points. Aaron: Wow, even tighter than I thought. Chandler: yeah, the over under is fifty and a half. Ryan: They got it wrong. They've got it wrong. This is gonna be a massacre. This is gonna be my a hundred to nothing prediction of the week. Give me Oklahoma winning fifty to six as my final score. Aaron: I respect this. I I Chandler: That's I would love to see it. Aaron: yeah. I would love Ryan: It's gonna happen. Aaron: to see Michigan put in the dirt this week. I think most college football fans would. They deserve it after last week. Not the players, but just the team brand. however, do have it as a bit quieter of a game, but not close. I have it 28-10 at Oklahoma's favor. I I think we do kind of get some defensive shutdowns in the first half, but then Mathir wakes up. Second half comes in super strong, puts up these points, and they walk home. Ryan: Okay, I don't hate that. Yeah, because Bryce Underwood sucks. They're gonna score no points. But yeah, I might be over ambitious here, Oklahoma scoring fifty. But they will score a Aaron: No, I I think I might be under. Ryan: good amount. You're you're like around thirty, I think that's a good number. But yeah, they're not Timo North's not scoring. Aaron: And the Ohio State fan says Chandler: I have this game at thirty four to seventeen. Aaron: Respectable. I could see it. Chandler: Okla Oklahoma. Ryan: I just can't see I know I joke about them hyping up Oklahoma's defense too much, but I think they're like not gonna score that many on them. Chandler: yeah, I just I don't know. I would love for them to score zero points. Ryan: Same. Chandler: I just Aaron: yeah. Chandler: like I don't know. Aaron: It to me it just Ryan: We'll see though. Aaron: it it feels like this is one of them hot blood games where Michigan's got it. That gives Oklahoma that fuel. That gives you that locker room speech ready to go. Like you know they're gonna be in their pregame going, listen, we're gonna be watching the clocks, we're not gonna let them add any seconds. Like it's gonna be something where they c they're gonna have that to go out there and Michigan's been beat down this week. Like the players have only seen the negative. I I think that's a hard headspace to end of this game where. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: Agree. So next we have Oregon at Oklahoma State. Aaron: So, Oregon fans, once again we're here. This time you should be happier with me. Don't come at me this week. I got enough smoke last week. But I have this as a twenty one point five favorite in organ and the over under it fifty eight point eight or fifty fifty eight Ryan: Okay, that's funny. Aaron: point five. Chandler: But I say fifty eight point eight. Ryan: That's funny 'cause I Aaron: I know, here I am just throwing new decimals in here. Ryan: That's funny 'cause I put twenty one and a half Oregon, but fifty five and a half is the over under. Chandler: Twenty three and a half Oregon and fifty seven and a half over under. Aaron: So close, we're in the ballpark, but yeah, I see this game you know, despite the stumble against Boise State last week with Oregon, even though Chandler: Okay. Aaron: I think that's a special Boise State weekly sale for them. That's just one of those things Boise State's got got their number in a way that gets to I think Oklahoma State is in a rough place right now. Things are bad for them. Feel bad for them. And I think Oregon comes in here, absolutely takes care of business. I do think Oklahoma State gets some in there. but I have the final score being forty one, twenty eight, Oregon all day. Ryan: I have a slightly different opinion. I think Oklahoma State is a terrible football program. They're technically a G5 still because they just brought all those guys from North Texas. But last week they played terrible against Tulsa. You get third down situations, couldn't finish on short third down situations, way too many turnovers. I I think they're not good. I think Oregon's gonna be mad that they almost lost to Boise State last week, and I think it's going to be forty two to six. Aaron: I think that's fair. I think that y I I have more faith in your guest than mine. Chandler: See I'm thirty-eight thirteen. They get one touchdown, the rest are just field goal parade. Getting thirty-eight-thirteen, Oregon's fine. They leave Oklahoma as as happy, fulfilled people to come back and you know avenge their close win against Boise State. So next we have Purdue and Wake Forest at Purdue. For tickets as low as eight dollars Aaron: the game of the week. Chandler: if anybody still wants to go to it. Aaron: It's gonna cost you more to get a drink and a hot dog. Ryan: I think this would be a close game. I think it's gonna be like three point game, but I think they're going to favor Wake Forest and I'll put the over under at like forty six and a half. Aaron: I also see this as close game. I got a four point five wake forest way at over under fifty. Chandler: was closer on the over under and Ryan was closer on the or not closer, he was dead on. Wake Forest, minus three. And over Aaron: Ooh. Chandler: under 49 and a half. Aaron: Wow. Ryan: Wow, so they do see this really close. Yeah, I think this is a coin flip. I don't really know. I might go with a line here and gimme wake forest by three. Let's do twenty four twenty seven wake forest. Aaron: Ooh. Now I'm gonna be a hundred percent open and honest. I don't know what's going on in Purdue and Wake Forest yeah. I tried I tried to do some research here. not a lot came up. So Wake Forest and Purdue content creators, get out there, start fumbling some stuff because I I I didn't de dig too deep. I had other games look up, but I have played or I have gone to bowl games where Missouri State's played Wake Forest a bunch. So I went with a Wake Forest winning just because I seen y'all. so I have it close as well. I have a twenty eight, twenty four going Wake Forest direction. Ryan: Pretty close there, pretty close. What do you think, Chammer? Chandler: I it's gonna be twenty one seventeen. Purdue takes it. Aaron: Ooh. Ryan: I knew you're gonna see that 'cause Big Ten, so I had to give some Wake Forest some some kind of something here. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: You know, I don't know why Purdue's gonna take it. They probably won't, but I just wanted to go against you guys. Not necessarily because they're Big Ten, but it was so close that I felt like neither fan base would rip me apart by saying Purdue takes it. Aaron: Hey. Ryan: If Nitro Tuggle was still there, I would say Purdue. Chandler: Nitro is a great receiver name, by the way. Aaron: It's great. That's perfect. Can't beat it. Chandler: Okay. Next we have Alabama versus Kentucky. Aaron: Hot seat game. I'm up right. I forgot. Chandler: for it. Aaron: Okay. I think this game, they're gonna predict this is closer than it'll end up, but I have it as 11.5 Alabama's favor over under 50.5. Ryan: put Alabama twelve and a half, fifty one and a half over under. Chandler: It is Alabama ten and a half and the over-under is forty-nine and a half. Aaron: Wow. Now, I don't think the game shakes out that way. I guess I do. I guess looking at my score, I do have the line here. Chandler: Hmm. Aaron: But I don't feel like it's gonna feel that way. I have the final score going in Alabama's favor, 31 21, taking 10 points. I think this is another first half trouble game. I I I think Kentucky comes out here prepared. I think Kentucky shows up. That first half, they come in and they give the O line for Alabama trouble. I think this is where Kentucky knows that O Alabama's struggling running the ball. We saw some improvements last week, but this is the week where it gets put to the test. I think Kentucky's content to shut it down for a little bit. I do think Alabama pulls away second half, just shows up consistent, goes back to the the throw game. Kentucky struggles, loses some deep ball plays, and they pull up at 10. Ryan: Yeah, I mean I don't think Kentucky's fully like bottom of the barrel like they were. I think they're really improved with having the Oregon guy come over. They flipped their players a lot. They looked fine last week, but they didn't play anybody. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: Alabama just also looked good even though they played ECU. I think they're a little settled in now and I'm worried about that. So give me Alabama thirty one twenty one. Aaron: So we agree, we got same score there. Ryan: Yeah. Chandler: I got Alabama thirty to thirteen. And I think it will be that spread apart if like Aaron said they can run the ball. If they can't run the ball, Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: it's gonna be a long game. Ryan: Yeah, and I'm I'm worried that they will be able to shut down Kentucky running the ball. Yeah. Chandler: Agree. Agree. Aaron: That that's that's definitely the concern for Kentucky here. Ryan: Yeah. Chandler: Okay, now we're traveling up to the land of hockey. We are going to Minnesota. We are going to Mississippi State at Minnesota. A clash of two premier SEC and Big Ten schools. Brian, what do you have? Ryan: See, Aaron, don't get mad. I think this is Vegas here. This is Vegas here because only because of what happened last year. I think they're just going to say Minnesota by one and a half, really close though, and give me like fifty five and a half. Aaron: That's insane because this is one I know. I I'm gonna be forthcoming about this. Mississippi State's my team. You see it. the line is one and a half and fifty-five and a half. Chandler: It is indeed. Ryan: For Minnesota? Chandler: It is indeed. Yes. Aaron: Y yeah, Minnes Minnesota's favor. Ryan: okay. Okay. Aaron: So you are right. right on the money. So Ryan: D y'all played so good, and I know you played a nobody team, like Clipson or something. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: but you still did so good. Kamario looked so good. Your defense looked good. I don't think Minnesota's bad. But yeah, they are a hockey team. And just for you, Aaron, since I don't know, I'm gonna Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: give you the win here. 3127, Mississippi State. Gimme Camario. I know I said it wrong. To go crazy. Aaron: I I think you're on to something here. I have it a little bit further away. I think this is gonna be a game of the week to watch. I think this is going to be a great game. I think both of these programs are on relatively equal footing. I do think Camario is our standout. That's why I'm gonna have Mississippi State take this when I give our score. But I do think Minnesota is prepped. They know what we have as a team is speed. And I think. They are going to play that to their advantage. However, the thing that's going to pull out for us, it is Camario. How do you stop speed with without sacrificing pressure on the quarterback? If you give him time, he's going to make the pass. And that's the problem. So they're either going to have to fully commit to pressuring him, which that makes you vulnerable to the speed on the back end. And he is strong enough in the arm that if Deo's players get out 30, 40 yards downfield open, he's going to make that pass. We saw it all day last week. And Last year we saw him make passes like that. I don't think there's an answer here and I feel for Minnesota here. I don't think it's gonna be against them. I don't think they're gonna get blown out, but I do have the score being close, but at twenty eight twenty-four, going Mississippi State's way. Ryan: Okay. And I don't hate that. Because I think for these middle ish teams like Minnesota as well, the difference maker is turnovers and penalties. They always have really bad penalties at bad times. So like I don't Aaron: And that is going to be if Minnesota wins this game, it's because we lacked that discipline in what I assume the second Ryan: Yeah, but but Aaron: half. Ryan: but I don't think Camario puts the ball in danger very often. And I think he's Aaron: No. Ryan: so good that you are going to win in the turnover category and I think Minnesota is going to be worse in the penalty area. So I think that is a difference maker. And you win this game. Aaron: That's the penalties are my fear. Chandler: I have you sitting at a double digit win, Aaron. I have you sitting at thirty-four twenty four, Mississippi State takes it. I think you start off slow first. I give you Aaron: And I I Yeah. see, I'm gonna disagree start out slow. I think we score first possession. I think Ryan: Mm. Aaron: I think we come out because Levy loves throwing deep ball bombs on like the second play of game. And I think I think that's something if you're not awake, if you're not as your receivers don't have or your corners don't have that dialed in yet, your wideouts can can pull out and pull away. Chandler: Okay. I was gonna give you like the first quarter to like warm up, but you know, I like that. We'll start up air raid. I like that. So now we go to Memphis and Boise State at Boise State. Aaron: My second game of the week. I think this is gonna be an electric game. I think Vegas is gonna have this close. I see this as eight point five leaning towards Boise State over under being fifty-eight point five. Ryan: Boise State seven and a half and over under fifty six and a half. Chandler: Boise State eight and a half and the over-under is fifty-four and a half. Ryan: Okay. Okay. Aaron: I think we're split on that one as normal. so I have this game. Like I said, an electric game. This can be a defense game. Boise State, I love guys. I love that organ. I took a lot of heat for you last week when I when I predicted that y'all were gonna do great against Oregon. And this week I'm sorry to disappoint you. Riding for Memphis. I watched that UNLV game 14 and 15 on the defense for Memphis, are animals. They are physical, they are fast, and they are dominant. I think what worked against Oregon will not work against Memphis. I think that run game that they were just kind of punching up those gaps. I think 14 and 15 have the answer to that. And that is going to keep them slow moving on offense, not. Dead on offense, but slow moving. And we'll see if Memphis can answer offensively to keep it up. But I have this as 2417, Memphis taking it. Ryan: You know, I don't hate that, Aaron. Because I think when Memphis played that UNLV game, their D line and their front was so good, they just absolutely shut down Jaden Thomas. And yeah, Boise State's whole thing is that they were running the ball. They were so physical against Oregon, but I don't think Oregon's D line was actually that great. They were just really hyped up to be that great. I really like Marcus Stokes here. And the fact that Colton knows him and he went to my school. I'm just picking Marcus Stokes. I Gimme twenty seven, twenty one, Memphis. Aaron: Ooh, close. And they won't be celebrating with ice cream. Chandler: Give me twenty eight twenty give me twenty eight twenty seven, Memphis. Ryan: Okay. One point Memphis. I Aaron: Okay, so so we're on the Memphis train. Yeah. Ryan: like that. See, I like please g I just don't think they can out physical that D line. Aaron: I like Boys of State. Yeah. I I I watching that UNL V game, and I think a lot of people probably miss that. Because that I think there was a lot of nuance in that defensive play. That I mean, we watched Jackson Arnold, who we can say has had some issues at the quarterback position from what we've seen from him, but he's still a very talented quarterback, just absolutely have nothing he can do against two players, and those guys were nasty. I like Huff. Think he's great. I can't wait to see what school he ends up at. Whoever gets him. Once again, that's my great coach pick that you can get. I think he'll need time to develop a program in the future, but what he's done at Memphis so far is awesome. Can't wait to see it. Ryan: Okay, don't tarnish Jackson Arnold though. Aaron: He's a bum. Ryan: Boise State was just that much er Memphis was just that much better that game. Aaron: No, no, I I I I thought he I think Arnold was playing great and still they didn't have an answer. Ryan: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like it. I like it. Sorry, Boise State. We we were so happy last week. We Aaron: I'm sorry, yeah, we love ya. Ryan: were so happy last week. You just couldn't get it done. Aaron: I'll still be rooting for you the rest of the season. Chandler: Okay. Ryan: You couldn't get it done. You're out. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: We have Tennessee at Georgia Tech coming in at the six PM slot. What we have? Mm-hmm. Ryan: no, is this one me? Aaron: This is you. Ryan: This is so wrong. This is another one of my things. I think it's gonna be closer than this, but I think the line is gonna be Tennessee twenty one over under fifty seven. Aaron: I have it closer. I have the line at thirteen point five with over under being fifty five point five. Chandler: line is tighter than that. The line Aaron: Ooh. Chandler: is 12 and a half and the overunder is 55 and a half. Ryan: See, I was worried they put Aaron: Wow. Ryan: it close like that. Not gonna happen. I'm not a big fan No. No. I'm not Chandler: I just don't think Alberto looked like he could take this Tennessee team down. Ryan: a big fan of Tennessee. When you play Colorado and you can't produce your own touchdown on offense, you had a kick return and a field goal. You can't ret you can't produce your own offensive touchdown, you're not gonna score a lot. Give me Tennessee thirty eight to ten. Chandler: And Tennessee had or and Colorado had a hundred and fifty plus rushing yards on them. So I mean that's Ryan: Yeah, just absolutely physical dominated you. Alberto Chandler: Yes. Ryan: looks skittish. Colorado, the one you're making fun of with the lady with the speech, so they're also small and everything. Tennessee has Derek Owings. They're the biggest, strongest program in the country. They're gonna outphysical you 'cause of all the steroids Derek Owings give them. All that muscle they put on the off season. Thirty eight to ten. Aaron: So I agree with you here. I think this is this is lights out very early on. Georgia Tech, I like your program. I think y'all are cool. I don't think this is y'all's year. I think this ends up being one of Tennessee's eight wins this season. And Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: I put it at thirty-seven nine. Ryan: yeah, we're right there. We're right there. Chandler: I got twenty eight to ten. Tennessee. Yep. Aaron: Fair. I don't I didn't see a touchdown on Georgia Tech this year. Ryan: I don't either. yeah, nine or ten. Aaron: No Ryan: I'll go nine or ten. Chandler: It could be it c i it could Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: be two field goals, two safeties, you know, who knows? Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: They might get a l get a lucky one like a kickoff again. Aaron: No, I I just think Tennessee seeing how the defense ran through McColorado, Tennessee's defense, I n like I said, I come after Tennessee, I come at y'all hard. Y'all's defense ain't bad. And Jordan Tech ain't gonna be able to hold up to it. Ryan: And we always talk about the Derek Owings strength program. Aaron: yeah. Ryan: How great he is, how good he turned them over this off season. Aaron: Put on some Chandler: Okay, Aaron: masks. Chandler: for our second to last game, we have Ohio State going over to DKR Stadium, playing Texas at six thirty Saturday night. Aaron, talk to me. But talk to me nice. Aaron: So when I said games of the week for the other ones, those are the ones that I think will be exciting games that people wouldn't be watching. This is the game of the week. This is the undisputed game of the week. This is the best matchup we're gonna see. I think Vegas has this close. I think everybody thinks this will be a close game. I have the line at three leaning towards Ohio State with the over under fifty point five. Ryan: Don't get mad. I don't agree with this. I think Vegas is gonna put Texas by one and a half. And I think the over Chandler: Yeah. Ryan: under is gonna be fifty point five. Chandler: We've already talked about the line. Yeah, Aaron: Ha ha ha ha! Chandler: not mad at all, 'cause I already knew it. It is one and a half Texas Way. Home crowd favorite. One and a half. Yep, one and a half to Aaron: It's really one and a half? That's in s that's insane. That I that's like for Vegas, that's close. That's crazy. Chandler: One and a half text this way. Over under is forty nine and a half. They have it as a relatively Aaron: And it's Chandler: lower scoring game. Somewhere in the Aaron: That's Chandler: twenties. Aaron: now I agree with that. I don't think this is gonna be fireworks. I think y'all's defense is incredible. I think Texas's defense is really, really good. I I think that is trouble. I think the weakness on your right side is going to be an issue that's gonna keep the points down in this game. But it's not gonna keep him from winning it. I'm not gonna put money against Ohio State until they give me a reason to do so. I think this game ends 31 twenty-one going towards Ohio State. Ryan: This is gonna be a great game. A game of stars, you may. Colin Simmons might get back there a few times. Cam Coleman might get one jump ball he catches. But other than that, Jay Timmins and probably not Jay Timmins, but Devin Sanchez and whoever else they put over there is going to lock him up. This game is going to come down of who can run the ball better. And I think that is Arthur Smith in the Ohio State offense. And Devin McEwen is gonna be the difference maker because every game Texas has played, they bracket, they double, they triple Jeremiah. Devin McEwen is going to have an insane receiving game. Gimme Ohio State thirty one twenty four. Aaron: Okay, so we're we're we're seeing seeing pretty close here. Chandler: Okay. I'm gonna cheat, since I'm the host, and I'm gonna give you two Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: scores. Okay. I'm gonna give you the one that I'm riding with in my heart that I've said the whole all year long is 3120. I think Ohio State wins by ten plus points in every single game they play this year. That's what my heart says, okay? But the logic tells me is that it's gonna be inside of probably a seven point game and that it's probably gonna be somewhere in the realm of twenty-eight twenty-four. Hopefully Ohio State's way. But my Aaron: That's fair. Yeah, now Chandler: my heart pick is thirty one twenty. Aaron: I will say I could see this game going towards Texas due to something that happens in the game, whether somebody gets injured or anything like that. I could see that flip. I think Texas is good. I I'm not going to sit here and do the thing that people do where it's like Texas has shown up. They have the talent. They have everything there. They haven't given us a reason to doubt them yet. But neither is Ohio State. And Ohio State, I think, per raw talent. as the roster this year. And I think Texas is really close. I think it is a close game. I just think Ohio State's gonna have a little bit more together. I think it's just gonna be the who makes the Chandler: Mm-hmm. Aaron: fewer small mistakes in this game. And I think Texas could be prone to it. And I think you're Ryan, you're right. This is a run ball game because i there's gonna be a lot of commitment to lock people up. However, there Jeremiah Smith's much harder to lock up than Wingo and Coleman. And I think that leaves a little bit softer of a line for Ohio State to punch through. Chandler: Okay. Ryan: I do think Texas's running back room is really good though. I and but I think Aaron: It is very good. It is very good. Ryan: D I think Ohio State secondary is too good. They have so many people they don't even know who to put on the field. And I think that's Aaron: Yep. Yeah. Ryan: a great sign with Cam Coleman and Ryan Wingo. And Devin Sanchez has to go up against Jeremiah Smith every single day. He's great. He's gonna be fine on Cam Coleman. Cam Coleman just always gets one. He's very good. Like if the ball touched him, he's gonna catch it. I think he gets one lucky one. But I just can't see Ohio State losing this game. I can't see it. Even if the Texas Chandler: Okay. Ryan: running back room's so good. Chandler: Viewers at home, I want you to if you're not gonna look at anything else, I want you to every time Ohio State has the ball, I want you to look at the right tackle of Philip Daniels. You watch him, he gets burnt. Ohio State's in trouble. You watch him, he does not get burnt. Ohio State's just fine. That's where your decision point of the game is. It's that simple, it's right tackle, Aaron: Yep. That is that is the change of the game. Chandler: Philip Daniels. Because guess what? You know what Colin Simmons watched on the tape? Philip Daniels get torched by ball state. Okay? Aaron: Absolutely. Iep. Chandler: You know what he can do? He can line up on both sides. So watch right there, right side of the line. If that's a vulnerability, then we're gonna have a long game. Aaron: They are going to attack the right side of the line every play. And they should. And Sark Chandler: Yep. They should. Aaron: is good enough. His program's good enough to know that's a vulnerability. And they will attack it over and over and over again. And the lineup pressure like they're going to attack it. And then they're going to pull back. They're going to it is the thing that they're going to see. Chandler: Agree. Ryan: Yeah, I'll just put Colin Simmons on him. Chandler: Okay, to end this off on a high note, for the last game of the week, we have Southern Miss at Auburn. Ryan what do you have this line and over under at? Ryan: I think Auburn by thirty five and I have the over under at forty seven. Aaron: I also have this as a high scoring game, but I have it Auburn's favor 30.5 with the over underbeing 60. Chandler: Auburn at thirty-three and a half and over under at fifty-six and a half. Ryan: Okay, I think the I think the over-under's a little high there. I like Southern Miss a lot. I've had a lot of like cousins and friends and stuff that went there. I like them as a school. I even had a cousin that played quarterback there a long time ago. But I think their current state of football not as great. I think DJ Durkin's defense is too good right now. I think if Byron Brown fixes a couple things, which I think this will be a good week too. Cause last week, whenever he was going through his progressions, you'd see at South Florida, he goes first, second progression, took off and run. This week it almost think that they thought he was running too early. They almost made it like a pocket passer. They unless the protection broke down and he was getting sacked, he would look through his progression. He'd sit back for there for 35 seconds or something. I think we need to let him loose a little. We need to let him try to kind of make throws that are risky and just try things out this week. I'm hoping that we can score thirty-something points because we need to do that every single game. So give Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: me thirty-eight to nine, Auburn. Aaron: Okay, I'm I'm in the ballpark here, but I agree with you. I do think the difference maker here is the defense with Durkin. that is what worked for y'all last week offensively. A lot of problems to fix. I think that defense is just gonna overwhelm Southern Miss here. I think that's gonna keep it from really getting that ball far enough downfield. But I do think Southern Miss is gonna have a couple sneaky plays in there that are going to the house. I have it 3814, but I think Auburn takes it. I think they look confident in this game, but I do think those two plays are gonna get under their skin. Chandler: Yeah, I like it. You can't bet against DJ Durkin. I think thirty eight to nine's respectable. I think this has to be a bounce back game for the offense for Auburn. I think they have to get their stride because they definitely don't have an easy schedule down the stretch. So I think they need to get things clicking, get some confidence, get some synergy going on that side of the ball because we know the defense is gonna hold strong. So yeah, give me thirty eight nine. Auburn's way. Ryan: Yeah. We need some by room confidence going into Florida week three. Aaron: Setting you up for a a bad week three. But Ryan: I know, I know. Yeah.
