- 0:30Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to 2026 and welcome to our very, very
- 0:35first episode of the Growth Pro Edge.
- 0:40I'm Denise Killian with the Growth Pro Group, and I'm thrilled

- 0:53We appreciate their support, which helps us to bring you a new episode.
- 0:57Each and every week here at the Growth Pro Group, we're all about growth,
- 1:04and that only happens when we take a break from the doing and spend just a
- 1:08little bit of time thinking, and that's where the Growth Pro Edge comes in.
- 1:13Each week we'll talk about issues and that impact our growth for our teams,
- 1:17for our business, and for ourselves.
- 1:19Us.
- 1:20We're really thrilled to have you here with us this week, and
- 1:23we are having two very special guests for our inaugural podcast.
- 1:29Of course, Beth Stanley, our CEO trainer, attainment founder and founder of
- 1:36the Growth Pro Edge, and Kandy Kelly, our new CEO for the Growth Pro Edge.
- 1:44We're thrilled to talk about the genesis of.
- 1:47This podcast as well as the Growth Pro Group and how we want to help you grow
- 1:54your teams and yourself and your business.
- 1:58So let's go ahead and get started and join Candi and Ben.
- 2:03Oh my goodness.
- 2:04I could not be more thrilled to have both Beth Stanley and Kandy Kelly here
- 2:10for our very first official podcast.
- 2:13Welcome ladies.
- 2:15Beth: Hello.
- 2:15Hello.
- 2:16Hi.
- 2:18Denise: Oh.
- 2:18All right.
- 2:19So as we get started, my friends, uh, most folks out there know you two legends.
- 2:26Uh, but let's go ahead and start and tell us a little bit
- 2:28about yourself, uh, and, uh.
- 2:32How you're joining us today, Beth, let's start with you.
- 2:36Beth: Well, I'm Beth Stanley, chairwoman and founder of the
- 2:40Growth Pro Group and TrainerTainment
- 2:43Um, have been in this particular space for more than 20 years.
- 2:50I'm a mom of three amazing kiddos and happen to, uh, get,
- 2:57to be the, the visionary of.
- 3:02The most brilliant people I've ever had the opportunity to work with.
- 3:06So there you go.
- 3:07That's, that's me in a nutshell.
- 3:08And I love to cruise.
- 3:10How's that
- 3:13Denise: Candi?
- 3:14Candi: Yes.
- 3:15Uh, my name is K Kelly.
- 3:17Uh, I joined Beth in 2019.
- 3:21Uh, before that I have been in hospitality since I was.
- 3:2513 years old, uh, doing different things from concession stance all the
- 3:31way to restaurants until I switched over to the entertainment sector.
- 3:35Um, when I'm not working and helping clients.
- 3:38I am a mom of two and a PTO treasurer and, uh, a soccer coach a lot of times.
- 3:46So that's what I do in a nutshell.
- 3:52Denise: So I love that.
- 3:55There's so much that you guys have done, really your whole lives that
- 4:00is in the genre of being a service to others and, and helping others from,
- 4:07you know, Beth, I know you coached your kids in their softball, basketball, and
- 4:12baseball and all of the things, right?
- 4:14Candi, you've coached your girls and, and soccer and.
- 4:19Um, starting in hospitality at 13.
- 4:23My goodness, that's all about service to others.
- 4:26And so I wanna start with this introduction of the Growth Pro group
- 4:33of what it is and why, why start it?
- 4:38Beth, you wanna answer that?
- 4:40Beth: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:41So, um, Candi and I have certainly been asked that question a lot, and, uh, as
- 4:46we did the brand expansion last year, the people that know and love us have asked
- 4:51that, that question the very same way.
- 4:53And I think, I think businesses grow, uh, if they're good,
- 4:58they grow and they evolve.
- 5:01And I believe that that's what we've done at, at Entertainment.
- 5:04We are so niched.
- 5:07Beautifully.
- 5:08So in the family entertainment and the hospitality industry.
- 5:11And we're never gonna not do that because, like you said, Denise, we, we, so at our
- 5:18core, I mean, one of our core values is we believe in being in service to others.
- 5:23I, I've gone on record many times to say that I think the world would
- 5:26be a better place if we all got it.
- 5:30That's, that's why we're here.
- 5:32It is, is to serve one another.
- 5:34And it just seemed like it was time for trainer entertainment to, to
- 5:41take on its grownup persona, if you will, and that we had gotten bigger
- 5:46than just the hospitality industry.
- 5:51We, we do a ton of sales coaching.
- 5:54That's really the foundation and what the company was built
- 5:57on with sales and service.
- 6:00And we got so engaged in working with entrepreneurs and doing business
- 6:05coaching that that sales coaching and the business coaching piece
- 6:09really, really spans all businesses.
- 6:13And that that entertainment seemed to, in a way, keep us from
- 6:19communicating our, our services and what we do to the world at large.
- 6:26And it is crazy because.
- 6:29With the brand expansion, it seemed like our entertainment community
- 6:34better understands today what we do.
- 6:37And I'm like, oh my gosh, what kind of marketer am I?
- 6:41Obviously not a great one.
- 6:42I'm a a very good salesperson, maybe not a great marketer.
- 6:46They're both different.
- 6:47I, I don't know.
- 6:48Katie, what would you say?
- 6:50Candi: I would say that the Growth Pro Group really came about
- 6:53from listening to our clients.
- 6:55Uh, I started in 2019, but have been very closely connected to trainer
- 6:59Entertainment for years before that.
- 7:02And I saw it even before I came on that people didn't just ask trainer
- 7:06entertainment about training.
- 7:08So at the heart of what they were asking about is growth, sales growth,
- 7:11leadership, growth, team growth, birthday growth, growth, event growth.
- 7:17So that's what they were really asking about, and so trainer entertainment
- 7:20has always been solving those pieces of the puzzle incredibly well.
- 7:25But it wasn't just training, right?
- 7:27We kept seeing clients that needed more than one solution.
- 7:30We have over the years, Beth has done a great job at listening to the needs of
- 7:34the clients and creating products and services that really address those needs.
- 7:40But then the Growth Pro Group is born so that we can meet businesses
- 7:44where they are and support them more holistically, not just from a training
- 7:47aspect, which is what the trainer entertainment name kind of insinuates,
- 7:51even though we had grown part past that.
- 7:53So it's not just in one department, but across the
- 7:55entire organization we can help.
- 7:58So it's not just about training your frontline staff anymore.
- 8:01Um.
- 8:02And so what we wanna do by becoming the Growth Pro Group is be being
- 8:08a true growth partner, one brand.
- 8:10You have us, you have multiple pathways, we have TrainerTainment
- 8:15That's the division I know we'll talk about how it's not going away.
- 8:17It's the foundation of where we are.
- 8:19But then we'll have Sales Pro and Exec Pro.
- 8:22So it gives us flexibility to serve more people without forcing a one
- 8:26size fits all solution at them.
- 8:31Denise: And that's something that is truly, uh, an important
- 8:34part of this that mm-hmm.
- 8:37The things that we've been working on, you know, trainer entertainment
- 8:39just celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, which is extraordinary.
- 8:45But with, with, with the services that we've provided with our clients
- 8:48through the years, is about developing leadership from executive level.
- 8:55That have been, you know, being an executive for 20, 30, 40 years
- 8:59to those brand new executives and leaders, to those mid-level managers,
- 9:06it's about developing people where they're at and helping them to grow.
- 9:10It's about taking sales teams from sales teams that are brand new.
- 9:15I've never sold anything professionally today in my life to those that have
- 9:21been selling for a significant amount of time and, and helping them grow.
- 9:25It is about taking businesses and helping them with their strategic
- 9:30planning and helping them move forward, unified together as a team in their
- 9:35business, while helping with that accountability piece and all of those
- 9:40things that we do and have worked with our clients with and developed through
- 9:46the years as Candi Perfectly said.
- 9:49By listening to what our clients need and figuring out how to help them.
- 9:54Yep.
- 9:54That expansion into an area beyond just the entertainment and hospitality
- 10:02industry, those are, are things that every business in America.
- 10:08Deals with.
- 10:09Mm-hmm.
- 10:09And those are challenges that they have.
- 10:11And, you know, I was super excited about the, the idea of expanding into the Growth
- 10:16Pro group because while yes, at we are still training, we're still helping,
- 10:21we're still growing, but it's that opportunity to help more people, which
- 10:27is at the core of what our business is.
- 10:28Yes.
- 10:29Candi: I think for me the focus is, it takes a, training is important,
- 10:33the training is part of growth, and so it's the focus away from training
- 10:37as a singular thing to supporting growth as a multifaceted thing.
- 10:43Beth: Mm-hmm.
- 10:43What was crazy, because what we, what we realized is, is that in the name alone.
- 10:49It suggested that we did training, and a lot of times people think
- 10:52of training as a one-time deal.
- 10:54And I, I'll tell you, training very singular.
- 10:56You come, you leave.
- 10:58Yeah.
- 10:58And, and training is, it is not and should not be a one-time deal.
- 11:03And what we really got our heads wrapped around is that.
- 11:07Where we have the most success, where we have the most impact, where we,
- 11:10how we built the company is to coach.
- 11:14And, and those have been in ongoing relationships with clients.
- 11:17We have, we have clients that used this years ago that they know and
- 11:21don't even think twice to say, Hey, hey, we need, we need to tune up.
- 11:26Uh, sign us up.
- 11:27We have new folks.
- 11:28And, and, uh, you know, Kenny, Kenny had a client.
- 11:32Kenny had a client one time who literally said, you know, we've
- 11:36learned more in the last three weeks.
- 11:39She'd gone on site to, to train and kick off a business coaching group,
- 11:43and that had three, they had three weeks of training and, and this.
- 11:49This guy who, who's an experienced guy in business entrepreneur forever and ever.
- 11:55He said, we've learned more in the last three weeks than
- 11:57I have in the last 30 years.
- 11:59And I'm like, oh my gosh.
- 12:02And so when, when you get to do that kind work, it's like, yeah, yes.
- 12:08Sign me up.
- 12:09I, I, I wanna do that, I wanna do that, and I wanna keep doing that
- 12:13and I wanna do it in a big way.
- 12:15And Growth Pro just gives us.
- 12:17Opportunity.
- 12:18'cause we don't know everything about every form of coaching.
- 12:22And, and there's a ton of, there's a ton of coaches out there that
- 12:26have expertise and strength finders and Colby and all kinds of things.
- 12:33And this gives us an opportunity to even gather some of those folks up
- 12:38who may not know how to do business, but maybe they'll wanna be a part
- 12:42of, of our, our organization.
- 12:46I don't know.
- 12:46What do you think Candi?
- 12:49Candi: I think, I think the switch is needed because it's not that we grew
- 12:57beyond a, I want to be clear that we didn't grow beyond an industry.
- 13:00We didn't grow beyond the principles that we already given.
- 13:03We grew beyond a name because like Beth just mentioned, when people said train
- 13:07entertainment, I mean, the immediate thing is so you train for entertainment.
- 13:13And that was the connection.
- 13:15It was nothing more than training and that's, it was hard to get people to
- 13:18understand sometimes, um, that through our evolution we offered so much more.
- 13:25Beth: Yeah.
- 13:26Denise: And, and to that point, right?
- 13:28We're not Taylor Swift when, remember when she said, I'm not gonna do
- 13:31country anymore, I'm gonna do pop.
- 13:33And a lot of people were really upset.
- 13:35We're still doing country and pop, right?
- 13:37We are expanding but not leaving behind.
- 13:44Candi: I like to say it's an evolution, not an abandonment.
- 13:46Um, and I think it's really important to clearly state for everyone who's been
- 13:50a fan of ours for, so for the last 20 years, entertainment's not going anywhere.
- 13:56It's our foundation.
- 13:57It's our heart, it is our legacy.
- 14:00Beth: That that's right.
- 14:01That's right.
- 14:02Denise: And, and the same inspiration that started Trainer Entertainment
- 14:05is, is the inspiration that led to the evolution and to the Growth Pro group.
- 14:12Right.
- 14:13Beth, can you, can you start a little bit about why you started
- 14:17Trainer Entertainment 20 years ago?
- 14:20Beth: Yeah, so, so I, I fell in love with the industry.
- 14:23I always tease because I fell in love with the game of bowling and figured
- 14:27out that it was easier to make money working instead of, of bowling.
- 14:31I'm a pretty good bowler, but I was never gonna get rich doing that.
- 14:34And, um, I don't know that I'm rich today, but I'm, I'm, I'm rich.
- 14:40I'm rich in, uh, relationships and in in life.
- 14:44That's for darn sure.
- 14:46Um, but.
- 14:48What happened is I, I went to work on, on location.
- 14:52I got a ton of experience with group and event planning, birthdays.
- 14:57Um, big corporate company parties, that sort of thing morphed
- 15:02into selling capital equipment.
- 15:04I saw debit card systems when debit card systems were not cool.
- 15:08I knew the day would come when everybody would have to have the
- 15:12system, but I was the, a friend of mine said, oh, you were a pioneer.
- 15:16It, but we all know pioneers are the ones that were faced down on the
- 15:21ground with the arrows in the racks.
- 15:22So, you know, it's, it's, uh, uh, I, I, I, I paid my dues and I learned a
- 15:28lot about opening new locations and, and got my feet wet across the country
- 15:34and developed a ton of relationships and figured out, had, had what Michael
- 15:40Gober refers to as an entrepreneurial seizure that people were buying.
- 15:45A hundred thousand dollars pieces of equipment for me because I was going
- 15:50on site and helping them with their event and their groups and about how
- 15:57to make money with those card systems and how they could grow their business.
- 16:02Uh, and I, and I wound up helping their sales teams, and I just thought, you
- 16:07know what, why don't I just do that?
- 16:10Because if it, if it doesn't work, then it's on me.
- 16:15And I can take that on.
- 16:19And, and I was lucky.
- 16:20I was so lucky because I had a, I had a lot of really good relationships in
- 16:25the industry, uh, and people trusted me.
- 16:29They, they knew me.
- 16:30They didn't know me because I had a company, but I had
- 16:32been in sales for a long time.
- 16:34I'd been 10 years in the industry, and so I, I had a reputation and
- 16:41some relationships and those people.
- 16:44Believed in what I was doing.
- 16:45I have no idea.
- 16:47You know, I look back and partly I think, well, I just made a company to
- 16:54teach people how to be nice to each other, you know, because that's what
- 16:57great service is, helping people being kind to one another and, and when we're
- 17:02going out and doing recreation and things like that, we, we wanna have fun.
- 17:06Well, I'm an expert at having fun and, um, I just, I was lucky.
- 17:13There were plenty of important people that believed in me and gave me a
- 17:17shot and let me practice systems and, and they paid me to, to do it.
- 17:23They paid me to create systems and processes and um, and then I
- 17:27met great people who said, Hey, can I come do that with you?
- 17:32And um, yeah, I've been very lucky.
- 17:35I think so.
- 17:37Denise: And yeah.
- 17:38And that evolution from starting there and listening to people, listening
- 17:45to the amazing folks that we get to work with, what are their challenges?
- 17:51Us on the team collaborating with each other.
- 17:54And gosh, this group that I'm working with is having this issue.
- 17:57Oh, ours is too uhhuh.
- 18:00Oh, so, so is this group that I'm working with, oh.
- 18:03Hey, maybe there's a pattern here.
- 18:05Maybe there's a bigger solution that we can work towards to try to help.
- 18:10You know, that was the genesis of our leadership pro, uh, exec, uh, training.
- 18:16That was the genesis of the group sales.
- 18:19Training.
- 18:20That was the genesis of so many different things that we work on are because these
- 18:27are the needs that our clients have.
- 18:29So that evolution to now, the growth pro, uh, Candi, you said it so beautifully.
- 18:36Uh, we outgrew the name.
- 18:39Beth: Yeah.
- 18:40We, you know,
- 18:41Candi: yeah.
- 18:41We didn't outgrow any of our principles.
- 18:43Uh, you know, what Beth said is like.
- 18:46People bought from her, the capital equipment because she came in and
- 18:50trained not, she didn't just train.
- 18:52So I think she's selling herself a bit short there.
- 18:54She trained in a way that was fun and that was practical, and
- 18:58it was delivered by somebody.
- 19:00Who cared and wanted to understand where they were at that moment in the
- 19:05business journey, uh, wherever they were.
- 19:08That's the ultimate principle that Trainer Entertainment has, is that
- 19:11we wanna provide, you know, solutions that are fun, that stick around, that
- 19:14are practical and that meet you where you are and aren't prescriptive.
- 19:18We are.
- 19:19Intentional learners here at the Growth Pro Group, and so we follow a whole lot
- 19:23of different frameworks and structures, and what we sometimes even find is
- 19:27that many of them are prescriptive.
- 19:29This will work for any business regardless of where you are
- 19:32and where we learn a lot from.
- 19:34A lot of those frameworks.
- 19:36It's not where we want to do business.
- 19:38We wanna meet you where you are in your business journey, and then
- 19:42provide practical solutions for you.
- 19:44And that's always been the heart of entertainment.
- 19:46As we just heard, it's the heart of why Beth has started
- 19:50it so that those principles.
- 19:53Didn't change.
- 19:54What's changing is the reach because look, I come from franchising
- 19:58where I worked for a parent company that had children's entertainment.
- 20:01We dabbled in retail, we had lots of different types of restaurants from sit
- 20:05down to fast casual and all of that stuff.
- 20:08Business, a lot of the same principles that work in bowling centers, family
- 20:11entertainment centers, attractions, they'll work in other industries.
- 20:15Sales is sales, leadership is leadership.
- 20:17And more importantly, and where we like to focus is people are people.
- 20:21Beth: Yeah.
- 20:21Yeah.
- 20:21Candi: And so the principles we've learned along the way can, uh,
- 20:25can apply to a greater reach than what we've been attempting at.
- 20:29Beth: I think, I think, uh, I think for one thing that stands out for
- 20:32me is, is the, the curiosity piece.
- 20:35I, I, I never, I, I remember saying to lots of people that
- 20:41were close to me that if I ever.
- 20:44Sounded like I knew it all.
- 20:46If I ever had a hint of arrogance, I wanted them to slap me.
- 20:52Because the thing is, is we, we cannot, I'm so glad you mentioned
- 20:57the intentional learning thing.
- 20:58'cause we could not be a growth company.
- 21:00We could not be an education company.
- 21:01We could not be a training company if we weren't.
- 21:05Voracious learners.
- 21:06I, I just think it would be so arrogant because things move, things change.
- 21:11Things are different today than they were 20 years ago.
- 21:14And, you know, Candi, Candi, she, I was, I was so lucky because in her
- 21:22previous life they hired us and I got to work real closely with her.
- 21:27And so I always was like, Hey, one day, if you ever change your mind.
- 21:32About what you're doing, please, please call me first.
- 21:36And, and, and she did.
- 21:38And I feel super, super lucky to have had that happen.
- 21:42Same with you, Denise.
- 21:43I think I talked to you 20 years ago practically about mm-hmm.
- 21:46Coming to work with us and finally here you are, you know, 20 years later.
- 21:51Um, but Candi, it, it tickles me because.
- 21:56What do you tell somebody who comes to work with us new that when they
- 21:59go and train, if, if, if they go out on site, what's gonna happen?
- 22:05How do you coach 'em?
- 22:06Because you know what, I'm gonna ask 'em.
- 22:09'cause it's not gonna be, how did it go?
- 22:11Right?
- 22:12How do you,
- 22:14Candi: what did you learn is going to be the question.
- 22:17Uh, as soon as you get back and you're like, Hey, I just left.
- 22:19It could be anything.
- 22:21My two day kickoff, my onsite, my job for auditions, it could be anything.
- 22:26And the first thing she's gonna be like, well, she'll say, did you have a good day?
- 22:31And what did you learn?
- 22:32So be prepared for it every time.
- 22:35Beth: Yeah, because that's the thing is I, I wanna know, I, I, I wanna, there there's
- 22:41something for us to know from every single experience that we have, every single
- 22:47coaching call, there's, there's something to know, there's something to learn.
- 22:51And I think that if, if we're paying attention to that, we're
- 22:55always gonna stay at the forefront.
- 22:57We're, we are always gonna keep growing.
- 23:00Because if we don't grow, how are we gonna help other people grow?
- 23:04Mm-hmm.
- 23:04In my opinion.
- 23:05So,
- 23:05Denise: yeah.
- 23:06And, and in the last couple of minutes that we have together, uh,
- 23:10I wanna talk a little bit about why it's important and it's, it's, it's
- 23:17important to step outside of your company, your group, to get that help.
- 23:27Uh, I always like to tell people here we have our own coach.
- 23:30Yes.
- 23:31That is not a member of our team.
- 23:33Beth: Yeah.
- 23:34Denise: Um, why is it important?
- 23:37Beth: Don't tell Linda that.
- 23:38I think she thinks she is a member of our team.
- 23:40Denise: Well, I mean, we, and we like to believe I say we all the time when I'm
- 23:44working with groups that I work with.
- 23:46'cause I'm a part of their team too.
- 23:47Right?
- 23:48That's right, that's right.
- 23:48Uh, it's a we, but having that outside eye.
- 23:53To be able to help with that growth process, whether it's leadership,
- 23:58whether it is, uh, sales coaching, whether it's business coaching, right?
- 24:03That why it's important to have that outside perspective.
- 24:08Candi,
- 24:10Candi: um, the biggest barrier to growth.
- 24:13Every industry is people, and I don't mean that in a negative way.
- 24:18People are also our greatest opportunity to grow our business as well.
- 24:23Um, we've talked, you know, we know tons of business leaders, and most companies
- 24:27don't struggle because they lack ideas.
- 24:29If you let them talk, they'll tell you 20,000 ideas.
- 24:32You know, in a minute.
- 24:33Sometimes it seems like it's flying through their brains.
- 24:36They struggle because they lack alignment.
- 24:39Clarity, accountability, confidence in their teams.
- 24:43Maybe they're stretched thin.
- 24:44We know.
- 24:45Um, that happens a lot too, especially in the seasonality of some industries.
- 24:49Managers sometimes are promoted without training.
- 24:51Yeah.
- 24:52Teams are expected to just figure it out.
- 24:55But when you're in, what I, when we were, when I was a server,
- 24:59we used to call it in the weeds.
- 25:00When you're in the weeds of all of that.
- 25:03It's hard to change that perspective.
- 25:04It's hard to see what you, the few steps that you could take that would
- 25:08make you work smarter and not harder.
- 25:10And so instead you keep just running from one thing to the next.
- 25:13Mm-hmm.
- 25:13And so that's where getting help matters because an outside
- 25:16perspective can they see it clear.
- 25:19They're not as emotionally attached to it.
- 25:22And so that perspective can change.
- 25:25Everything with a little bit of guidance, a little bit of coaching and structure,
- 25:29you can stop guessing and you get to start leading with intention instead of
- 25:32chasing fires from one thing to the other.
- 25:35I hated being in the weeds as a server.
- 25:37I always like to pre-plan and think ahead of what I needed to do, and
- 25:41that's because just like having a smooth night or smooth ship shift,
- 25:46growth doesn't happen by accident, like
- 25:49Denise: right.
- 25:49Candi: It happens when leaders invest in the teams that they have.
- 25:53When they ask for support, you, if you talk to entrepreneurs, Beth always talks
- 25:57about how it's lonely as an entrepreneur.
- 25:59It's lonely at the top because there's less people talk to, so they need support.
- 26:04Beth: Yeah,
- 26:04Candi: and then you need somebody that helps commit to stop to do things
- 26:08better, not just faster but better.
- 26:10And that's sometimes where an outside support, someone that can brainstorm
- 26:13with you, someone that can see things in a different light, can
- 26:16really bring that small change that can change a whole lot of things.
- 26:21Beth: Yeah, well, well said.
- 26:22I, I think it's interesting because, um, I think people, I,
- 26:28potential clients find it crazy.
- 26:31That we use an outside coach, you know, this is the kind of work we do.
- 26:36We do annual planning.
- 26:38We're, we're in the throes of tons of annual planning.
- 26:40Tons of our, I think all of us are out next week or something.
- 26:43Mm-hmm.
- 26:44You know, to, to, to help our own client and, and so we know how to do it, but
- 26:50there's no way I can sit in a strategic thinking, planning seat if I'm running.
- 26:59The session.
- 27:00Same with Candi.
- 27:01She's brilliant with process, um, and, and she could run it perfectly,
- 27:08but she can't ask herself the best questions our coach can ask us.
- 27:16The hard questions.
- 27:18The curious questions.
- 27:19She can, she knows when to turn the fire up a little bit.
- 27:23She knows when to help us take a break because we need to take a break and, and
- 27:29you can't get that without an, without.
- 27:33Somebody who's not, uh, financially invested, uh, emotionally invested.
- 27:42And that's what a coach can do and not, and not that we
- 27:45as coaches aren't invested.
- 27:46We are absolutely invested in the outcomes and things like
- 27:50that, but we can just hear it.
- 27:52We can hear things that, that, that can validate what you think or that can.
- 27:59Reframe and question, and, um, I, I do think it's, it's always interesting to
- 28:05work with somebody who's thinking about using a coach and things like that, that
- 28:10they realize, oh, the coach has a coach.
- 28:13Well, duh, we, we, we always practice what we preach, always.
- 28:20Denise: And, you know, and, and, and for me, it's also when you're
- 28:22in it, you see this, right?
- 28:26This is what you see.
- 28:27That's right.
- 28:28You are, whether consciously or subconsciously, you are limited to the
- 28:35historical knowledge that you have.
- 28:38Beth: Yeah.
- 28:38Yeah.
- 28:38Denise: Which makes it a lot harder to think beyond that or outside of the box.
- 28:43It's harder to get a larger, bigger perspective when you're in it.
- 28:48Beth: That's right.
- 28:48Denise: That's right.
- 28:49And so the value of having somebody that can come in and has gone through
- 28:55so many different experiences, uh, with different businesses and in
- 28:59different industries and can listen.
- 29:02Beth: Yeah.
- 29:03Denise: And can help knowing your core values, knowing where you wanna
- 29:07get to help you see a different path, or guide you to a process
- 29:13to that's gonna get you there.
- 29:15Yeah.
- 29:15That, I think when you're in it, it's, it's really challenging to do.
- 29:20Beth: Yeah,
- 29:20Candi: not just that you're held back by your own, um, limiting beliefs about
- 29:25your historical knowledge in franchising.
- 29:27It's always fun when franchisees came in and bought existing locations and
- 29:31then have that, have an idea, I'm going to do this promotion and the franchise.
- 29:36Or a franchisee that they were buying from would be like, oh, we've done that.
- 29:39It didn't work.
- 29:40And it's moment that they, the moment they left, I would always say, try it.
- 29:44You have a different perspective.
- 29:45You have a different vantage point.
- 29:47You have a different view of it.
- 29:48You know, vision of what it can be.
- 29:50Don't let them tell you not to just because of that.
- 29:53Like try it.
- 29:54And so that's what outside an outside perspective, our new perspective
- 29:57can give you is there's a different, there's another way to do it and just
- 30:00'cause it didn't work in the past few tweaks may give you a success.
- 30:05Denise: Yeah.
- 30:06Yeah, absolutely.
