- Molly: Hello and welcome to Bona and Mira Tarot, the delightfully irresponsible little sibling of Bona and Mira Tarot. My name is Molly and each week three Tarot cards will enter this podcast. One will get fucked, one married and one will get pushed off a cliff. It's childish, it is completely subjective and it is surprisingly revealing. Because if you know me and you know Bona Mira Tarot, you'll know that I don't believe that the tarot is about predicting the future. It's a mirror, a way of meeting yourself through symbolism, psychology, embodiment, and the wisdom of the cards. And Bona and Mira Tarot takes exactly the same approach, just with a lot more giggling. So in just 15 minutes, we'll put three tarot archetypes through the highly scientific and deeply philosophical game of fuck, marry, push off a cliff. Which archetype deserves your undying devotion? Which one's worth a passionate fling? And which one absolutely needs to get into the sea? Along the way, we'll explore what the cards reveal about attraction, avoidance, projection, shadow, values, and the wonderfully strange way we make meaning. Expect depth psychology, archetypes, embodiment, the odd tantric tangents, and plenty of opportunities to laugh at yourself. No fortune telling, no spiritual perfection, just three cards, one ridiculous dilemma and whatever they happen to reveal. So whether you're here for the psychology, the tarot or your own deeply irrational grudge against the Seven of Cups, welcome to Bona and Mirra Tarot. Let's shuffle the cards, suspend our dignity and see who's getting married today. Hello and welcome back to another episode of Bona and Mira Tarot. We are super excited for you to be listening and super excited to make some questionable life choices on behalf Arcana For Good / Danielle: Mm. Molly: of the Tarot. I am so excited to be here today with Danielle from Arcana for Good. So Danielle, do want to tell us a little bit about yourself, a little bit about your relationship with Tarot and meaning making? Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah, so I am a I live in Leeds and I in my daily life I work in sales for a travel company. but I got a tarot deck from my mom when she was visiting me in November. She owns a witchy shop in Canada. her and my sister are very, very witchy, always have been, and I've always been like the non-believer. And she got me this deck and I just really connected to it. And I was giving lots of readings to friends and family. And my sister said, like, you should like start a TikTok. and I was like, I'm not gonna start a TikTok. And then I thought, I really love dogs though. And like if I could do something to help dogs, that would be amazing. So then I thought I'll start a TikTok. So I started Arcana for Good. where mostly at the moment I just make content hoping for people to find me, but I did actually have my first fair yesterday where I was set up in Leeds Kirkgate Market and just did loads of tarot readings for people and raised money for dogs. So yeah, tarot to me is just a well of positivity and self-reflection. I'm very much all about the using it as a journey to get to know yourself and like what you're going through. Molly: Mmm amazing, thank you so much. And I'm right in thinking that like the intention of Akana for Good is that the proceeds to your tarot readings go to a dog charity. Is that right? Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yes, yeah. So every single cent goes to Good Life Dog Rescue. There I have done so they're in West Yorkshire. I have done another charity as well, a partner of theirs, which is Barnsley and Animal District Welfare. and I may change it again in the future if it really gets legs. So because there's loads of little dog charities that could really use the help. but at the moment, yeah, every single cent goes to them. Molly: Amazing. That is what an incredible story. And people can find you I believe at at arcanaforgood on Instagram and TikTok. Arcana For Good / Danielle: It's at Arcana for Good on Instagram and then it's at Arcana dot for dot good on TikTok 'cause it was already taken. Molly: Amazing, amazing. Go and check Danielle out. But we are going to, yeah, we're going to make some questionable life choices. Are you ready? Okay. Arcana For Good / Danielle: I'm so ready, always. Molly: Amazing. So I'm going to be using my standard deck, which is my light seers by Chris Ann. I may switch it up for some episodes, but at the moment, I mean, it's just, it's my baby. It's my baby. I love it so much. So we're to do awkward pause for me shuffling. Here we go. Okay, ta ta ta. see what we've got. Okay, okay, this is, and Arcana For Good / Danielle: I love the look on your face. Molly: look on my face, this is a good mix. This is a good mix. Okay, so we have the eight of swords. Arcana For Good / Danielle: okay, yeah. Molly: Okay, we have the king of wands. And we have the Hierophant. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Okay. I really like that here event for yours. Molly: Yeah, I mean, it's a beautiful depiction of the Hierophant. Very light and love, very bright and joyful. But what a cool mix of cards to get. So, of course, you know the game. Fuck, marry, push off a cliff. Are there any kind of immediate thoughts coming for you? Any kind of that you're immediately like, yep, I know exactly what I'm going to do with that one. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah, I mean King of Wands to me is just daddy. Like, I I think definitely fuck the King of Wands. I think that he probably is not the best one to marry. I don't think he's gonna follow through on all his promises necessarily, but he's gonna show you a really good time. He's got a big stick. Molly: Mmm. Mmm. He has got a big stick. Look at that. Look at that wand. He's got a massive wand everybody. I agree with you. Like I had this, although I agree with you and I also think there's potential for marriage. Like Arcana For Good / Danielle: Okay. Molly: I think in under certain circumstances there would be potential for marriage with him. But like... I totally agree with you specifically the depiction of this card. He's kind of hot in this card. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Mm. Molly: But certainly like the Wands for me is about that intuitive function. So the meaning making, passion, action, energy. So anything that's within the Wands has that kind of sexy quality to it anyway. Unless we're talking about like the seven to the 10. That has a very tired quality to it. But like Arcana For Good / Danielle: Heh. Molly: the ace to the six and then the court. have quite a sexy quality just by being about like passion, energy, action. And then the king has a very mature and masculine energy. And so that for me is like, I don't know, like he's gonna show you a really good time, but I think he'd be also quite like giving. He would be dominant, but not too dominant. I think he would be like the perfect mix of what you would maybe want in a. in bedroom? I do think Arcana For Good / Danielle: Mm-hmm. Molly: that there is potential for marriage there, but we will, I'll hold that thought as we move on to some potentially other cards. What about, so if you're saying like, feel pretty firm about fucking the King of Wands, you've now got the Hierophant and the Eight of Swords as options to either push off the cliff or marry, what are you thinking? Arcana For Good / Danielle: Well, eight of swords is obviously one of those cards that when it comes up, you're like, Ooh, I don't want this. because it really forces you to look inside and look at your own thoughts and what's caging you in. So my first gut reaction is to push it off a cliff, but I don't think that's correct. I d I think that's the one you marry, the one that makes you look inside and really examine your own biases and your own anxieties and what's holding you back essentially. Although the hero fan looks like, you know, traditional structures, marriage is a structure. And you probably can do it to the book. But I don't know, I think eight of swords marry and and just have like a I think it would be a very like almost gothic romance. Molly: Mm. I think this might be the first episode I've recorded so far where we're going to end up with different responses. And I Arcana For Good / Danielle: Ooh. Molly: love that. That's so exciting because I'm so deeply curious about that line of thinking for the Eight of Swords. Because to me, I totally agree with you the way the Eight of Swords is like that kind of that inner reflection and needing to look inside because most of the depictions of the Eight of Swords are this trapped person and you know swords for me is all about the thinking function and the way the wonderful ways in which our brain and thoughts tend to like deceive us and so when we get to the Eight of Swords point our stories aren't like those mind-made stories about who we are are good enough not good enough they're so overwhelming that we actually can't see the truth which is why the Eight of Swords is almost always blindfolded or caged in. Very often in a depiction of the Eight of Swords, you'll kind of see this idea that they are actually free in some way. In some depictions, like they are the ones that are holding onto the end of the rope. This light seers depiction is one of my favorites because the mirror image is her kind of bound, but actually in reality, she is not bound at all. It's just what she sees in the mirror, which I think is an extremely cool depiction of it. So if I'm thinking about the quality of person who is living the eight of swords, I think that type of person would be quite challenging to be with because they're so wrapped up in their own mind-made story. I get the feeling that the eight of swords for me would be someone who isn't just, know, like, of course, we all love words of validation, right? We love to Arcana For Good / Danielle: Mm. Molly: be validated. but this would seem like someone who would say, I don't think that you love me. I don't think you find me attractive. And then you're like, I do find you attractive and I do love you and I do want to marry you. But they're like, no, I really don't think you do. And there's only so much that you can give in terms of validation to somebody who is so caught up in their own story. And so from that perspective, I don't think I could marry it. But I really love the way that you've kind of spun it a little bit to say like, What medicine does the Eight of Swords have? And the medicine of the Eight of Swords is going inwards and examining our own stories. And so if that person were to act as a mirror for me to go inwards and look at my own stories and look at my own reality, then yeah, that would be, I think, like you said, like a really nice Gothic romance. But I'm unsure on whether I could handle that kind of, if that person was consistently in that place, I'm not Arcana For Good / Danielle: Mm. Molly: sure. But I'm totally hearing you on if they were that mirror, they would be a really good partner. I'm so interested that that means we've pushed the hero fan or you've pushed the hero fan off the cliff. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah, and probably felt like a little bit bad about it too, but you know, unfortunately the game isn't fuck Mary Mary. Molly: It's not fair. Not everyone can be married guys. Sorry, Tarot. You have to make the hard decisions. So the Hierophant goes off the cliff. And I think like I'll tell you what my kind of lineup is in a minute because it is actually completely, completely like completely different from yours. No. Is it completely different from yours? Yes, it is. It's completely different from yours. my God, like I can't decide, this is so hard. But I'm really super interested because the Hierophant for me, like I have a challenging-ish relationship with the Hierophant because the Hierophant is all about, kind of like, is about tradition and about rules. And in some aspects, I have found tradition really challenging. Having gone to a Catholic school or, you know, quite a religious school, having been brought up in that way, been brought up in quite a... a way that's like, you know, this is how it like academics study hard Catholic school and then in my kind of 20s I almost went like a complete opposite way and I was like no Break the like break the boundaries of tradition break the boundaries of what is expected of us break the boundaries of what I Think is expected of me. And so that's why when I see the here a fan I'm a bit like fuck your rules. I don't want your rules And so in that way, I would probably push him off the cliff, maybe feel a little bit bad about it, maybe. But then on the other hand, I've developed a relationship with the Hierophant where if I look at him less as that kind of religious figure and more about the disseminator of wisdom, then he becomes more palatable and less constrictive. But yeah, so you have gone, you're gonna fuck the king of wands, you know. Yes, you're going to marry the Eight of Swords and you're going to push, bye bye, hierophant, off the cliff. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah. Molly: Now, I think, what am I going to do? I think I would have to push the Eight of Swords off the cliff. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Hm. You are not vibing with the eight of swords. Molly: I'm not vibing with the of Swords. I'm sorry. Like, I think just because I, I just can't, yeah, I can't envision a life or a one night stand with somebody who is wrapped up in story and is like really caged in because I've got my own stories. I've got my own stuff. And I think that it would be a little bit of a locking of heads of, just needing to be validated and you know neither one actually listening to each other. And then King of Wands Hierophant. I'm going to... I'm gonna marry the King of Wands and fuck the Hierophant. There you go. So it is completely different. Arcana For Good / Danielle: And what what do you think like the hero fant is like on a on a wild night of passion? Molly: I don't necessarily think that it will be the wildest night of passion that I've ever had. Arcana For Good / Danielle: There's an itinerary. Molly: There's an itinerary. There is definitely like a way that it's done, probably missionary, which was, as we know, the church kind of allowed position. Did you know this? That, Arcana For Good / Danielle: No, I grew up in the west coast of Canada. I had no structure. Molly: Okay, so I mean, obviously it's not now, but way, back in the day, the the when the church was, you know, trying to influence people in some way, it was like a rule, maybe maybe not a rule or just like cultural or societally acceptable that missionary was the kind of church allowed sex position to have because it's the only sex position where that other animals can't get into. and obviously like man is on top of woman, there's some kind of dominance there, but it also is as far away from animal like sex that you can get. Whereas other animals can get into like, well, other positions that we can get into. But, missionary was the kind of church ordained, sex position because it removed us as far as possible from like animalistic like sex. So I think the hierophant it would be Mish but Arcana For Good / Danielle: So like the church. Molly: I'm a fan of Mish. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah. Who who doesn't love a good Mish? I'm Molly: We love Mitch. Arcana For Good / Danielle: yeah. I'm just thinking about like which pervert in the church went out and like did the research on this to like see which all the different ways the animals could fuck. And then was like, I found one good for us guys. Yeah. Molly: Yeah, I've got it. I've been doing my year of anthropological research and I've come back and it's Mish guys, it's Mish. Arcana For Good / Danielle: I've been out in the woods. It's mesh. Molly: So yeah, I think the hierophant would be Mish. I think he would be quite tender in aftercare. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Mm, yeah. Molly: I think there would be like an emotional and spiritual connection there. But I don't think I would want to marry him just because of my inability to kind of be in that traditional rule space for too long. I get a little bit like itchy, like, God, no. Like give me some chaos. And I think the King of Wands would bring me chaos. I think he would be a really nice solid structure for me. Like quite caring, quite nurturing, but also very like self-sufficient and very independent as well. I would love to be his queen of wands. imagine embrace like being the queen of wands. That is, yeah. So we're, we've made two very different decisions today. This is. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah. See, I can't imagine marrying the King of Wands because I I like the structure. I like the the knowing I feel like you wouldn't always be able to know what he was gonna do. You know, just one day he'd show up and it would be like that scene in Modern Family where he just like bought an what was it, like an alpaca. You'd be like, What you got an alpaca? Molly: no, I'm totally up for it. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah, I got the last one. Molly: I'm totally up for that kind of chaos. I'm up for the chaos of like come home and be like, so I think I'm going to quit my job and we're going to move to Italy. And if you're listening and you know me quite well, you'll know that my love for chaos and my love for the unknown is a practice for me. It's a practice that I have to engage in because my big three star sign is Taurus Virgo Virgo. So you can imagine the life that I'm living Arcana For Good / Danielle: Know nothing about star science. Molly: with all of that earth and all of that like absolute need for perfection and need for things. So it's a practice. I like almost have to force myself to enjoy chaos and force myself to enjoy this kind of free flowing because it doesn't come very naturally to me at all. Arcana For Good / Danielle: So interesting, and that's so great that you've made it a practice. Imagine practicing chaos. What a flex. Molly: Mm. You have to. Like, when you're, when you're blessed with a Taurus Virgo Virgo and blessed with this kind of perfectionism, I say blessed with a very kind of like gritted teeth. Sometimes it's absolutely not a blessing, but, but yeah, you almost have to. I... had and still practice this kind of fear of the unknown that I have or like Arcana For Good / Danielle: Mm. Molly: if I can't control the outcome, if I can't control how people perceive me, I find it really difficult. And so I have to force myself to kind of engage with it. Otherwise I just, you know, I wouldn't be doing this podcast because it wouldn't be perfect. And I'd be worried about how people perceive me and I wouldn't upload anything if I allowed that kind of tendency to be the guiding compass of of who I am so it's it's a consistent practice of chaos which Arcana For Good / Danielle: my god, can you marry the King of Wands? It sounds like you guys would be perfect for each other in that sense. Like Yeah. Molly: Where are you, of Wands, if you're listening? Maybe we should, we should do, how good would a dating app be where you do a personality quiz and it gives you a tarot card. And so like you present your dating app profile as the tarot card and you're swiping and I'm like, I'm looking for my King of Wands. I'm looking for my King Wands. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah. I love that. That's your next idea right there. Molly: That's the next idea. Okay. I, that is so unbelievably niche that the only worry that I would have is like, you would swipe on your perfect person and they'd live like on the other side of the country. And that's the only, do you know what I mean? Like there wouldn't be enough people, but if you would like a tarot dating app, then, someone fund me. What do I need? Like 10 grand maybe. I don't know how much it costs. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah, maybe like eleven so you can have like a snack budget as well. Yeah. You need snacks to create an app. Molly: A snack budget, yes. my god, a snack budget. Absolutely. I'll have to have that one grand so that I can go and do my launch in Italy because I love Italy so much. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Exactly. Which is maybe where your King of Wands is. He's there for Molly: I mean, Arcana For Good / Danielle: the weekend. Molly: he's there now. Okay, I've got two last questions for you. And this is a question that I'm asking every single person on the podcast. Who out of the entire tarot deck would be the best lover for you? And who is the biggest walking red flag? Arcana For Good / Danielle: Ooh. I think that's a great question. This I'm just gonna do this based off of literally first impressions without thinking too much into it. biggest red flag is probably the fool. And I say that sadly 'cause I love the fool. Like the fool is the energy that I want to encompass, like just this joyous, like, you know, being out there and just trying new things and seeing what happens and kind of carrying this joyous nativity. but also I'm just like, why haven't you packed more? Like you're an adult. What are you doing? How do I know that you have a plan? Do you have a plan? And I think if I were to come across that person, I would I would struggle. Maybe that says more about me and what I actually value. but in terms of the best lover. Do you know, think like I commented on your your post, I think I think death I think death would be I think you'd bring like some unexpected stuff. I think he'd be the most different lover you'd ever had. And you know, he's he'd probably do it in a bunch of different ways. Molly: Mmm, he's not Justin Mish. Arcana For Good / Danielle: No, no, but he he does mish too. Everyone does mish. Molly: He does mish. He does mish. He does all. I love your perspective on the fool being a big red flag. I think, I mean, you said yourself like, maybe that says more about me. I mean, I think that's the point of the podcast, right? Like everybody, Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah. Molly: everybody is not going to agree because they value different things in sex relationships and, you know, what they don't value. But I love hearing that perspective because as you were speaking, I was like, yeah, he does give a little bit like Peter Pan forever child kind of energy. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah. Which is Molly: which Arcana For Good / Danielle: great as a concept, but as like someone that you're meeting on Tinder is worrying. Molly: Yeah. Mm. Yeah, I see what you mean. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah. Do you have a bed frame? Molly: Mmm, de-wash your sheets. Arcana For Good / Danielle: he is not washing his sheets. Molly: I don't think he's washing his sheets. I think he just buys new ones. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah, I was just gonna say, he just he's like, Okay, bye, these sheets are no longer mine. He probably donates them nicely. Yeah. Perfect, exactly. Molly: He uses the sheet as his little knapsack. I love that. Thank you so much. I feel like if I tell you mine, my listeners are going to hear this every fucking episode, but I'm going to say it anyway. The Knight of is the biggest red flag. God, biggest red Arcana For Good / Danielle: I wanna hear it. The Knight of Cups, yeah. It Molly: flag. If you've listened to an episode before, you'll know I find him a fuckboy. I just find him so irritating. I think actually he's got a similar energy to the fool of like this, the idea of him is really nice, but in reality, he's just quite immature. And I think that like, so I think we're coming from similar veins, but the thing I find about the Knight of Cups is he's quite insidious about it. He, he, he portrays himself as someone who is super emotionally intelligent because he's a cup and he's like, look at me. I'm so soft and so whimsical and blah, blah, And, but cause he's a Knight, the moment that like, it doesn't quite go his way, he crumbles a little bit. so yeah, for me, I'm standing steadfast and firm on this. Maybe in three or four episodes time, I'll change my mind, but. I've been doing some bulk recording and so far it has always been the night of cups. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Well, I could not disagree with you more on well, no, I I understand exactly the same way as the fool, but I actually I have a person in my life who I've just like really attribute to the Knight of Cups. He's just the most romantic, like writes poetry, buys flowers, really embed embodies a lot of like feminine traits as well in like the most beautiful way, like loves face masks and talking about his feelings, while also r really retaining like so much like manliness. And he's just so thoughtful and sweet and yeah, but a little bit lost sometimes. So I really I'm like the Knight of Cups is just to me is like a a warm hug. Molly: Mmm. Well. Arcana For Good / Danielle: But I I think your your your perspective is not wrong either. Molly: Hmm, I think it depends on the... like how far through the night journey are we, right? Because like Arcana For Good / Danielle: Mm. Molly: if we imagine like the page and the king to be a scale rather than four individual cards, you've got like a beginning page and you've got an end page and then you've got a beginning night and an end night as you move towards like maturity. So I think an end night who's kind of almost at the queen and king level of maturity. yes a warm hug but if he's just come from the page then he doesn't know what he's doing but he doesn't know what he's doing but he thinks he knows what he's doing because he's Arcana For Good / Danielle: He's love bombing all over the place. Molly: yeah that i think that's it it's the love bombing it's the pretense and then Arcana For Good / Danielle: Mm. Molly: it just all crumbles when things get difficult but yeah, I have thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Thank you so much for coming on. It hasn't quite been the 15 minutes that I promised, but you know, it's Arcana For Good / Danielle: Yeah. Molly: what happens when you get two tarot nerds in one space. So I am going to say a massive thank you to you and a goodbye for now to the listeners. Bye bye. Arcana For Good / Danielle: Goodbye. Molly: Bye.
