- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like city was incredible.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: There were so many people from Australia, New Zealand that came out that just were starved for 49ers and NFL.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: You just be walking down the street, Larry, they're so friendly and remind me a lot of the self.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: The random people just stop in you everywhere you went.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, are you from California?
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we are.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, tell us about what are you here for?
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, talking about football and by the end of the trip, it was like, are the Rams coming?
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, everybody was just so inshaded.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like,
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: Melbourne was very upset by the Rams, how they handled things.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: And the entire city was kind of swayed over into the 49ers' faithful by the end of the week.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: And it was just, it was incredible.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: The weather turned out pretty good.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: It was remarkable how similar Melbourne and San Francisco are as like sister cities, the gold rush, the ethnicity population was so close, the windy,
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: It was a wonderful time.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: Glad to be back.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm finally filling normal a couple days in.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, man.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: But glad to be back.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: And hopefully if you want to come join us at any of those other 49ers road trips tickets are up right now.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: And as cheap as they will be we throw a day before party.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: We throw an all inclusive premium tailgate the day of 49ers rush road trip calm the more tickets we sell.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: the more prices go up because we have to hire more staff have to buy more food have to buy more drinks all that stuff so do not wait go get your tickets now and come party with us looks like a lot of fun i'm going to be on some of those trips so we're going to definitely hook up on the road this year um what was the most adventurous adventurous thing that you did or ate over there did you eat anything exotic
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: I had some kangaroo.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: I did have some room you did have some kangaroo.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: I had to man.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: What is it?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: Is it a steak?
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: Is it a nugget?
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: Is it breaded?
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: Is it?
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: What do we?
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: Is it Amy?
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: Is it chewy?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: What do it?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not fat.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: There's no fat on a kangaroo.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: So like I was kind of shocked.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: Romanticizer steak or what are we talking it was kind of cooked like a beef wellington right where it has like this breading on the outside of like a thick cut of meat It was rough the stomach did not enjoy it really personally who lived in a Louisiana for a long time I finished it and I truly believe you have to try everything twice before you decide So I've got to go back so that I could try to get but was it the most pleasant experience really?
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: What it was a chewy
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was tough.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: It was very very tough and very gamey, but it's very healthy.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, you know, they tried to get out of these sounds.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's all I was talking to a lot of like the Aussies down there asking them about it.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, yeah, they tried to like do all these commercials to try to get us to eat it.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: We just don't eat it.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: We don't like it.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's a like, yeah, it's not a lot of Aussies don't do it.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's one like when I went when I went to Hawaii and they were like,
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I, the, the, po, poissucks, a poise awful.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: I, I tried the boy.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: It was not, I didn't enjoy the boy.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: But when I went to New Orleans, I did have the fried alligator.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: But I was at, yeah, you know, at a five star restaurant.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: I went to getters not bad.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: Gators not bad.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it's delicious actually.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: Um, this was not delicious.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: And it was it was all right.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: It was all I'd say like a four out of 10.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I got to have it again.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: I got to try to different prepared to different way.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think before I.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: Best part about being there.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: Man, just the friendliness, it was very clean city.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: The animals were really cool.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: We got to see, you know, Tasmania devils, kangaroos, Winsaku Wallace, we went saw that.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: That was really, really fun.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: But the people were just so cool, man.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: It was a good time.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: I hope, and to go back.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: The wife and I, hopefully, we get to make another trip out there.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, for those that came out, I think everybody had a good time.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I liked the international games, Larry.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: And it wore me out, but my goal is to never miss an international game again, and Mexico City is going to be a blast.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait for that one.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm thinking, Kevin wants to go to Mexico City, badly.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I think we're going to be there for that.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: Then, other than that, I'm not really sure, do we go Dallas and go to A&M 10 to see the day before?
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: Do we do Atlanta and visit my daughter?
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking about going back to Atlanta for her graduation in December, so may not, I may skip it, Atlanta.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think I may go to Seattle, thinking about LA and the, something got a bunch of different options, but we will be traveling.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: We're definitely going to travel on the playoffs, but we got to pick and choose in the regular season.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: We do have a sponsor, Claude Addy Arcades, who's going to pay for us to go, so we really appreciate Rob and
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have caught any arcades, but we haven't quite decided just yet.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: Dallas is going to be the biggest party if that's going to sway you.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing a barbecue theme tailgate.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: Unbelievable tailgate or party.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: We're at Dallas live and out Dallas live.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to if you're looking for the biggest party.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be a Dallas.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I pretty excited about that.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: We've got up from Texas.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I got to pull that all the stops.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, you know, I'm part of that trip can be me making a pilgrimage to Kyle field, which come on man.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a big A and M fan.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like if I don't go to get up there.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I got to get up there and get the sway going, man.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: And my Aggies are playing good ball right now.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I got to stay with it.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: And we've got McKinley Jackson now on the roster.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I got to I got to go hunt down McKinley Jackson in the locker room.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: uh but let's talk a little bit about the stories of the day and the 14 owners are back the today they had their first practice um and they had to announce because they hadn't had any media availability really since they were in Australia that um all the announcements got made today as far as the the roster and who's going where and what's happening and basically um
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers put days on stripling on season ending IR.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: So his, his year is done.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and Jake Tondis' year is done.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so that the 49ers in that way are kind of in a bad way.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, um, I thought stripling was going to be gone for a month.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: Now it looks like he's
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: What's your, what's your thought on Dayjohn's dribbling, you know, being gone now for 10 weeks, could be, minimum, could be two and a half month, it could be, you know, two full months, you know, it's September, 19 or 16th that may, it may not be until, you know, three, actually three full months, it could wind up being like mid December before he's back.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Man, it depends on if you're a glass half full or a half empty guy, because I think it's going to be, you know, you look at this type of surgery on the ankle, yeah, 10 weeks he could be back.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: That is the optimistic view for sure.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's not outside of the realm of possibility he does not take snaps again this season like that has to be on the table at Kyle Shanahan very honest and open about a lot of things injury timelines not the best track record to say the least.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: talk about that too got injured went through the test.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: They put them back out there definitely was injured should not have put them back out there.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Now you're in the mess you're in.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: And with the Recapiers saw news, you kind of see the 49ers going the more cautious long-term route and say, you know what?
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Let's have the surgery.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: Let's don't let it wait to heal.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get it done long term.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's probably the smart move, especially whenever you look at the wide receiver room as old as it is.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Long term, don't have a lot of options this year.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of different options in the house, which we'll talk about.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: I hope strippling's back in 10 weeks.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't hold my breath because this is an injury that can take a little bit longer to get back to full speed because it's the ankle, you don't get to get out there and get your speed work in it.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: And so the prep time once he is fully healed to get back into football shape for a speed position, a different if it would be a quarterback or a alignment or something along those lines.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: But for a wide receiver, speed is everything.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to get there.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's going to take a while.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: 10 weeks would be optimal.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: Not so sure it's going to be that time window.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: So let's talk about the options, right?
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: They have, you know, right away as far as like Sunday, I don't think, I think they're fine, you know, they can slide to Marcus Robinson over Robinson's a big time player.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: You got Evans, you got D-Bo, you got to Marcus.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: She's still got Cowling, you could elevate Watkins.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of, they've got Darrell Hodg as a special teamer.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're covered.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: then within, you know, at week five, you can call Christian Kirk back to the active rosters.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of talk that he may start practicing, and maybe even as soon as next week, then you also have the option of your own practice squad guys.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: You've got Will Pauling and Wesley Grimes.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to say it right now.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think Wesley Grimes can do the job.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think Wesley Grimes is a Paul poor man's day, John Strubley.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of similar traits.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: We were both high on him, Larry.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: Love them.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: Love this kid.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what?
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes when I get a chance to meet the guys, I'm not as high on them for whatever reason.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm higher on Grimes after meeting him because he's such a sharp kid.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's so smart.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: He's just a really, really motivated, smart kid.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know why he didn't get drafted.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why I play with that kind of size in 4, 3 speed would go undrafted, but he
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: He may not be ready this minute, but six weeks from now after he learns more about the position on the practice squad and has some reps, I could see Grimes being an option.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: Then you've got other practice squad guys and other teams.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a big Dylan Bell fan, but there's probably other guys on others practice squad.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't even really researched.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then you also have
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: In a lot of ways, he's a very much like a Dejan stripling.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's he's he's six three six four.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: He runs in the four threes and so I mean, it's to me, it's like if you were going to lose stripling for a month, I'd say,
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I think I'd be interested in slate and I think slate and in San Francisco in the Niners offense with Perti and all these weapons, I think slate and could be a revelation that could be one of the better pickups that nobody's even banking on.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I'd go after slate and I really would.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a big dareyous slate.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: The fan have been his entire career because he's a versatile wide receiver.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: They can play all three wide receiver spots for the Niners and has played a lot of special teams.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: So the versatility that he provides, the
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: If they were going to get them, that time seems to have come and gone, which I was an advocate for.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I know you were as well, Larry, like go get the veteran plug and play guy that you could trust.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: I know that you have Jacob County.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: I know that Jordan Walkins was a healthy scratch last week.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's on the 53.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: I know you promoted Cadero Hodge, but man, all three of those guys accounted for six offensive snaps on the wide receiver position last week.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: There's a reason why they weren't getting those snaps.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: It could have a hodge more of a special team sky.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Jacob Cowling, he's a gadget guy that you could play a couple different spots and then you got Jordan Walkins on the outside.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: He plays that X, Mike Evans role, but so does, to Marcus Robinson.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: You have the depth built into the practice squad in the roster.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: There have been seasons where the 4A is only kept 5W receivers on their entire 53.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: So the body counts that you have dressed is sufficient.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I would argue that this wide receiver group that you have now even post, peer saw and post-stripling entry is better than anything the 49ers had the wide receiver position all of last year throughout the playoffs and regular season.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: This group is better with what you're putting out there now, with Evans, D-Bode, Marcus Robinson, and then you've got the backup filtered in there.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a positional strength with what you have now.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: You still have depth.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: But now you're like, okay, we need to start building a short term list.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I do want to push back or support your idea of Wesley Grimes because he got injured right after that first preseason game.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of nine of fans didn't get to see much of him.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: He was tearing up camp.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: He was making plays all the time.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: And again, there were a couple of times I was out there.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: People thought he was Debo because he's built like Debo.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: And he kept making plays like, was that Debo?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, nah, that's not him.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: So can he elevate to be enough that you know what we don't have to go sign outside if we have to we can go here and as you said Christian Kirk he can start practicing after this game the dolphins can't play until after week for but that's more veteran depth that's already in house and you used your IR designated to return spot on him so that is already allocated in the one of eight return spots that you have.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they're not panicking too much.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I don't think they should.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they should panic.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're pretty well fortified, and especially because they've got good internal options.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: And as I said, I'd be totally fine if they just promoted crimes from the practice squad and said, hey, we're gonna put them out there.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's rare, but like the team there playing this week and the Miami Dolphins did exactly that.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they, they took their two rookie receivers, they didn't really play their rookie receivers much in training camp or in the preseason, but they're putting their rookies out there, Caleb Douglas, you know, and, and the kid from Louisville, they're getting out there right away.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: They're putting them out there.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're their young team.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're kind of rebuilding and they feel like this is the future for the dolphins.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: So That's what the dolphins are doing.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: They're putting receivers on the field that really Never, you know, didn't really earn the job Chris Bell, Caleb Douglas, Kevin Coleman.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: They got three rookie receivers.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's a very very young team and it's probably the youngest receiving core in football
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: But if I'm the 49ers, I'd roll with the Marcus Robinson and see how it looks for a week or two, but I'll tell you, Darious Slate is intriguing.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's had four seasons of 700 plus yards.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: He fell behind this summer because he had a core muscle surgery so he missed OTAs and he's coming off of a kind of a disappointing 2025 year where Malik neighbor stepped in and
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: But we're also talking about a big receiver who runs four, three, nine, who average 15 yards per reception, who's a good guy.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's the team.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: He was a ex-chiant team captain.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I kind of feel, I saw the interview that he did where he's like, hey, look, I don't, I've got offers and I've got places I can go, but I really want to pick the right place.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I just think that if he really does, and he's taught him, he kind of mentioned winning.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's played for some bad football teams, and it's like, you know, I think the guy would like to win.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_01]: Now you get a 49er team that's a winner, and you got a receiver that's out maybe three months, and you got this guy.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, do you want to play in cow shanahan's offense?
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, do I want to play it with Brock Perdi as my quarterback?
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, do I want to play on a team that has, you know, CMC and Kittle and Mike Evans getting doubles and I'm never going to be doubled all year.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I, and, and, and since the Giants paid him 9.7 million when they cut him,
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's interested in picking like the best football spot for him, not it's not necessarily about cash.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I kind of feel like his bottom line and the Niners bottom line may jive here.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners don't have a lot of cash to throw him, but they have a great opportunity, great offense, and an opening here.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I kind of think that if you put Darious Slating up sit, you know, on the 40 and enter team with Brock Pretty Throne in the rock and Kyle Shanahan calling the plays and Mike Evans drawing doubles on the other side, I think Darious Slating could be a major factor.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know, I know it sounds like a little bit of pie in the sky because we're talking about a guy who's available on the street in week two.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: So already people would be pessimistic being, well, dude, if he's any good, wouldn't he be on a team?
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: But the giants cut him loose and he had offers, he just declined them because he wants to go where he wants to go.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: The question is, does he want to go to San Francisco?
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: That and I don't even think even if you did bring them in, I don't think you'd be a top three guy but he'd be a rotational piece.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: He would step into that to Marcus Robinson role that was at the outset where like, look, this is our utility wide receiver that can play all three spots and can step in whenever somebody's being rotated out like insert him into that situation.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now my question to you Larry, let's say you do sign.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: Darius Slayton, which wide receiver are you letting go?
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: Are you cutting Jordan Watson?
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: I know you're a big Jordan Watson guy.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: Does it provide much on special teams?
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it doesn't block.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: I like walkins.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: So like it's this the time for him to start getting snaps and actually being put out there.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, you know, in reality, you know, just flushing it out in a conversation like this, I would say this is the window for walk-ins to, you know, it's now or never.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'd give them a five week run here and just I probably would
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'd probably be more concerned about other areas of my football team and I'd probably I'd like grimes and I believe in grimes and I like walk-ins and I think there's a good opportunity for him here.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they got enough.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think Shannon's right, actually.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, he said today, hey, we're we're fortified enough from within, you know, I mean, you could always think about it in November, early November, the trade deadline, if all these other guys fail.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: But I think I'll start with the Marcus Robinson against Miami.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: steady diet of Paul's going to him.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: Two weeks from now, if I'm not liking what I'm seeing there, then maybe I'm trying to try to force feed Jordan walkins, but I think I'd take the next month and before I picked up slate and I think I'd probably take a good look at walkins and Robinson try to push grimes and practice a little bit more and see if one of those three guys can be the solution before I go to slate now slate is not going to caution anything I don't think he's going to caution a lot of money and I don't he's not going to caution anything.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, trade.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: So there's not a lot of downside to pick up Slayton, but you're right, it's like somebody's going to have to be on the roster.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody's going to have to get cut.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I mean, it's, I mean, they've already promoted Hodge and I think they want they like Hodge's special teamer.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think that they're going to try to go with what they got, at least in the short term, which is an eager play of the response too.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: So like, there's a lot of versatility with the wide receivers on this roster to where you're not pigeonholed to, man, we only have two Xs.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: We only have two Zs.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like that because the market's obviously can play everything.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: CaderoHodge can play everything.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: Jacob Cowen can play everything.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like you have guys that are utility wide receivers that can play it all those spots.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that helps out a lot.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: there's no question it says.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: The other big news is Jake Tontis done for the year.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: We kind of knew he was going down that direction, but now we got the official word today from Shanahan.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: They put Braden Willis from the practice squad to the active roster and they've already signed Jack Stoll.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: They worked out Lawrence, Kager, Tanner Connor and Jack Stoll and they signed Stoll to the practice squad.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: So are you satisfied that that addresses the Tontis opening?
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, Brady Willis made this initial 53 man roster.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_00]: They, they value him a lot.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, he was drafted way after several, I think, what, four rounds after, they drafted Cam Law 2, who's now long gone.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: But like, Brady Willis is stayed with this team and built rapport.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's a huge locker room, guy, huge workout guy, and man, he can play lots of, he can play both tight end spots in the full, in the full back spot.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: He also is incredible on special teams.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: And if you go back to the preseason,
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: All of the big runs of the preseason.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna see number nine with a key block leading the way.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: So can that transition into what you wanna do?
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see, George Kiddles probably still gonna be on a snap count, limit your talking 15 snaps off principally for Brandon Willis and all the special teams.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: I like brainwills.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm actually a pretty big fan of this guy.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that he has a high ceiling, but he's somebody that makes everybody around him better.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: They really like to win the draft process.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: They gave him their gold helmet designation.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: They've kept him around.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is an opportunity for him for sure.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is a major opportunity.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get your thoughts on the matchup of last week.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners got a 20 point win against the Rams.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: And since the game was played, we've had time to watch it over, maybe watch the all 22, look at all the breakdowns and numbers.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: Give me a takeaway from from the Niners 20 point win over the Rams.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: What stood out to you most?
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: I love the scheme, I love the call of Rahim Morris switching the defense completely the second half coming out with that two high deep safety look transitioning into a dime package.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we even saw a cover zero, like you remember Steve folks, like get the bus with the cover zero blitz, man, you saw multiple cover zeros, but it was the timing and the tempo of Rahim Morris, which I just loved.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: spot on, obviously you held the Rams to 7 points.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's huge.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: But the players that stood out to me most, like I Fred Warner was the best player on the field for either team, shocker, right, like he was the best.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: He was incredible.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: And so then I was like, all right, like, who do I want to give my film awards to?
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: And we used to do this whenever I coach down in Texas.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, all right, who do we highlight that maybe we didn't know made such a big impact day of the game.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: to Marcus Robinson, Upton Stout, Colton McKimmons, Mark Kee Siegel, Dominique Poony, that was my all-consistent team.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: Those were the guys that just it was so hard to find a play with those five guys in a negative sense at all because when you go through the tape with your team you get out these sheets and you judge yourself on every single play you get a double plus you get a double negative single plus single negative or just a zero, which means you didn't positively or negatively and back to play.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: those guys, no negatives.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: When was the last time we've been able to say that about a safety?
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: Marquis Seagull, Johnny on the spot, wasn't even targeted, even though he was the first predetermined read by Stafford several times, he just kept taking away the reads.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: So Stafford would look, be like, oh, 36, can't go at that guy.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's in perfect position.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go elsewhere.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: There was just so much consistent play, Connor Colby had a lot of negatives, but he stepped up so much so they didn't even rotate that left guard.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: This was a wonderful game and for people that were kind of players that were kind of in out, are they really a starter?
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have a problem here?
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of guy stepped up to Marcus Robinson was freaking awesome.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: Some of the best blocking from a wide receiver position.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen since probably three years ago, Joanne Jennings.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: Marcus Robinson, he did everything right.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there were a lot of positives, right?
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: Coach Yack put this out today.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: He says Kyle Shanahan on the 49ers interior offensive line play against the Rams.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: I asked him about it today, because I was talking to Greg Kousel on a stream this morning.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: And Greg Kousel said, hey, man, when I watched the film, the nineers interior offensive line was phenomenal.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: So I asked Kyle today, I said, Kyle, would you think?
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: What did you think of your interior offensive line and the job they did against the Rams?
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I thought they were unbelievable.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then he was asked, hey, did you, was the plan to flip flop Colby and Carver Willis?
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, no, there was no plan on rotating the players.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: Not in the Rams game, not in this game this week.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: So they've gone to Connor Colby as the starter at left guard, and they're going to roll with it at least initially.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I, I thought the 49ers interior, which, you know, God knows I've been critical of brand-all.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: Coony and Colby and you know those guys got their lunch hand to them and Seattle in the playoffs And I just didn't think there was enough strength there
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: But man, they've worked on their game.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: They've come back.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: They all look really, really motivated.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners Interior Offensive Line.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they ran for six eight of carry.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: They kept pressure off of Brock Perti.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: They ran the ball at the four, two, five nickel in the middle.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: As soon as they jumped in the third quarter to their five to front,
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: Shanahan immediately made the adjustment and started running to the edges, it just seemed like Shanahan was a couple steps ahead of David Schuler, like David Schuler decided in Los Angeles, you know, well before they ever got on the plane, we're going to, we're going to play our 425 nickel and we're going to stick with it and they were like daring the Niners to run it against their against their nickel and the Niners ran it 14 times against their nickel and had a lot of
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: So then they had to eventually go away from it, took them to like the middle of the third quarter.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: And then the Niners went ran successfully to the edges.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I kind of feel like it was a big, a big victory for Kyle Shanahan in his battle against Shua.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: probably the ice eat on the cake or you talked about how they started attacking the perimeter in the run game.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you saw the Kaeland Black it was the outside crack toss with a counter built in where Kaeland Black act like, you know, he took the step out like it was a counter tray play, came back underneath and hit that backside eight gap.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: Only got like four or five yards, but it was like an ultimate middle finger play call or situation.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas the game was intact, they finally started stacking outside the tight end to take away the perimeter run, then they ran that outside crack toss with the counter-built into it.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: It was just like, man, Kyle was a step ahead of the entire time.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, we could talk about travel plans and all they were tired and whatever, no, coaching,
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: offense defense special teams not close in this game.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was a coaching clinic put on by the 49ers.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: It was impressive.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: It really was.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: It was a very impressive deal, a notches Kyle.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk a little bit about Rhe Morris for a second because I thought Rhe Morris, you know, going into the game, I had hopes that the 49ers would figure something out.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: But a lot of it was just based on a wing and a prayer.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, where is the sacs going to come from?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: And they got none.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Where was the pressure going to come from?
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: How are they going to cover?
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: Can Lenore stand up?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: Can Green stand up?
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, where he did a few different things that I thought were interesting.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: One, he instead of playing left right on the corner or matching up, they went Lenore to the boundary and green to the field side.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: the entire game, didn't matter who what they were covering or where they were in the game, they went green to the field, win a war to the boundary.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then the Niners didn't get any sacks on Stafford, but also Diggy Zoo, they got eight hits and four from from also Diggy Zoo.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: And to me, the Niners won this game largely because of the interior of their offensive and
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the the pressure that they were giving Stafford in the middle, he was feeling that and they, they did some stunts off of some loaded fronts and they got the looper kind of free running through the A gap and you could tell that Stafford noticed that if you're a quarterback and you're seeing defensive linemen, you know, run full bore through the A gap, that's a disconcerting feeling.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: because you know that your head can be on a platter for one of these guys.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I just think that they found a way without blitzing.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: The only set five rushers three times.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: So they found a way to pressure and impact Stafford, move them off the spot and speed them up a little bit without blitzing.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: And last year I think you have 20 touchdowns and one pick against the blitz.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: So you really can't blitz them.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: So it was like, I kept wondering, how the Niners can do this?
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: They don't get a lot of pressure with their front four.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: And if you blitz this guy is 20 touchdowns one pick with a crazy passer rating,
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: and so how are you going to do it?
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: But Reheem did it, you know, sometimes he brought linebackers, sometimes he brought TVs, you know, they, they, they, they played some games up front.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: They moved some guys around.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: It was, it was a, it was a, it was a beautiful thing to watch.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just kind of wondering, do you think that Reheem can replicate that kind of a deal every week?
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: seems hard.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: It is.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I love the fact that he can do it in different ways.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: You talked about not policing.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: When the Rams fail behind and you knew they were going to be past happy, you were able to go to this double stunt that they kept doing it.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: So like guys like Obo Coronco and James Thompson Jr., who didn't really show up a lot on tape, but whenever you watch the stunts, they were pickers.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: They were freaking, they were just set in screens and so a lot of the plays that came free, Grace, and Halton, Nick Bosa, these players that were getting hits on the quarter, also, Digi Zua, was because you had guys playing on selfishly.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: and just setting screens against offensive linemen so they would do a double over so both defensive tackles would go to pick you know the outside guy of the defensive end and the defensive end would come in the backside they get and so what it does is we're not going to get this initial quick pressure.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: But if you hold that ball for three seconds, somebody's coming, it's got free.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: And Matt Stafford is a statue.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: The biggest challenge I see moving forward into the dolphins is, my biggest fear is Malik Willis with his legs scrambling.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: because you can't do a lot of those same stunts with a mobile quarterback because you have to be so conscious of not letting the quarterback outside you know, their scramble lanes, their rush lanes.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: So this week, I think you are going to see a lot more blitzes because you're not near as terrified of the wide receiver options, which you highlighted early with all the youth there.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I think this will be a high blitz week.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think there are going to be, I think they're at 19% blitz rate.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm not, if I'm not mistaken, I could see this being a closer to 30, 35% which is usually where he more historically has been.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's always been even last year with the Falcons, top five blitz rate.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: So the fact that you had a non-mobile quarterback,
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: and Matt Stafford that doesn't take sacks and can dice you up against the blitz.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel the same way about that with Mulie Quillus.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this is a week where you do more fire zones.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: You do bring five and six man pressure.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: I see that blitz rate almost doubling this week against the dolphins.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: And man, make those young wide receivers beat you.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: What do they get the Niners defense of tackle play?
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, OSU was big time, Grayson Halton made played well on the goal line in the goal line stand.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: And James Thompson, who I talked to in the locker room today for an extended period of time, you know, I thought he, you know, he's not 100% but he was in their plan and he's strong and I thought there were times where he got some pretty good push.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't get any sacks,
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I kind of, I kind of like to what I saw.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: I know, you know, they're down out for Collins, um, and, you know, they picked up McKinley Jackson for the, for the practice squad to try to take Collins spot, but what did you think?
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, OSA had a great game, but what do you think of James Thompson Jr. where do you think of Grace and Halton?
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that they're in kind of a negative position because I think James Thompson, Jr. and Grace and Halton are past were a specialist from the defensive tackle position.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's why they were brought in.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what they do.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: The problem is you're asking them to anchor against duo and third and short and goal line situation.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's not what they're, that's not their game.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: So, but you don't have the defensive tackles.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: You brought in McKinley and Jackson, I think that is his game.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: That is what he does.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: But you ask these guys to say, look, man, we know your past wrestlers, we ain't got anybody else.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to kick key on why inside, in short yardage, which we usually do at NASCAR packages.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like we got defensive ends playing three technique on a third and two, we got to have snaps where you guys play up to, you got to be runstuffers.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: It was challenging.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: I thought CJ West did the worst, and that's kind of part of his game.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: CJ West had a lot of really bad snaps.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: We saw this last year coming back from injury.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: James Thompson Jr. had some grace in halt and had some major negative snaps, but a lot of positives.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: And again, that goal line play you're talking about there was another really good play he had against the double team in the middle of the field, but he had about four plays where.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: He got washed down two to three gaps over some of the big runs in the third quarter.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_00]: Those were on him and CJ West and then they bring in Osa and then shut down the run completely after that.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a learning, you know, development.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: Grayson Halton has the potential to be the best rookie in this draft class.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_00]: The highs are there.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_00]: Can you hide him enough?
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: against those double team duo inside Zone plays to not get that negative tape and to not, you know, affect his morale and his confidence, but Grace at Halton has it.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever it is, you want him to be a password specialist, only the Niners cannot afford that luxury.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe McKinley Jackson can help with that, where he gets 12 snaps and it's just on those rundown situations, but it's going to be a thin room all year.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's going to be at the enrument if a trade does happen close to the deadline Probably going to be at that defensive tackle position.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's the one position the Niners value more than the rest of the NFL So there's a lot of promise there's a lot of potential consistency is going to be The constant climb for those young defensive tackles in that room, and so that's something we got to check back with every week
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's no question, I mean, it's a week to week proposition for sure, but overall, I mean, I think if you're the 49ers, you got to be pretty pleased considering, you know, you had out for Collins and you put him on the roster he gets hurt.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're kind of in a lurch, but you know what?
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: All of a sudden, you still have Grace and Halton and James Thompson.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: Two really young talented rookies.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_01]: Thompson's very strong.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: The Haltons of very good leverage player, very quick has great, quick feet.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: I thought those were two of their better rookies to be completely honest as far as the way that I mean obviously the Dolphins are playing a lot of rookies The Niners didn't play as many, but I thought of the rookies that I saw obviously Kael on Black had a really good game
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: But Grace and Halton and James Thompson played regular rotation snaps inside and we're effective.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I, you know, obviously it's tough to lose Collins, but it's great to have drafted Halton and signed James Thompson after the draft.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: And both of them make the final 53.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought both of them played some meaningful snaps in week one.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Ed, Ed, Ed, you could even talk, you know, if you want to extend these young guys,
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: But whatever narrative you have on Ramello height, the defensive end rookie, there is tape to provide, he got pay and cake maybe four times, he keeps trying to get him move.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean also, when he's engaged and here comes like he's engaged with the tackle and here comes the guard.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_01]: The guard can just to hand shiver him and put him on the ground and end the play for him.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thankful he's got that guardian cap because he very easily could have had it because like he got mollywaps a handful of times but the flip side of that if you can stay with the coaching tape into the fourth quarter when it was past situations only he got several impactful plays where it was like dude he was just so close, so close to getting to Stafford and so
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not on as down on Romero, I was at the game, I was like, do Romero Heights sucks.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: It has a big good or a preseason, you know, you can only win one-on-ones with the spin move that doesn't work in the NFL, but I came away from the tape thinking, you know what?
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: I saw enough of 94 to where it's like, dude, if you can just limit some of these major negatives,
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: you can see it.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: And so the explosive, the power hands, the jump, the bend, there were moments where you saw it.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's just like, man, can we can we uncork that a little bit more each week?
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see how he does against mobile quarterbacks.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm walking away after the tape, Larry, especially in the fourth quarter.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to be a Romelo height truth or go watch the fourth quarter tape, there's a lot of very positive hand usage, you know, good band, good burst.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I
- 42:12[SPEAKER_00]: Overall bad, but I just leave it a little hope out there for you in the Ramelahite fan club because you're going to have to have him produce at some point.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so many other guys on that defensive line have already stepped up.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he on white, you know, he's very versatile.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: You can play inside.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: You can play outside.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's fast.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: Thompson's very strong.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's made some good plays.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: Also, what a phenomenal addition he is.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: And Halton has got quickness in place with leverage.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there were several things to like about the 49er defense of front in this game considering the Rams have a really good offensive line and only give up 23 sacks all of last year.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't give up any to the Niners, but the Niners.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: pressure, package, bothered, Stafford, and Stafford was sped up.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, speeding up a Hall of Famer coming off an MVP year is a hard thing to do in the NFL, and the Niners did it.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: I also kind of feel like the people that are super negative on Jaden Dugger might be missing the boat.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: Because I get it.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's not exactly what you'll want as an edge rusher.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's not exactly what you want as an off the ball line backer, but you know what?
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of the youngest players in the draft this year.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of the, subsequently, he's one of the youngest players in the league right now.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: So he's a very young player.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a great frame, a 6465, 240 pound frame with long arms.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I just feel like he did some good things.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, especially if they're going to, if they're going to, you know, try to play some games up front and, you know, put him kind of on the solo side and, you know, you can, you can play some games.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the Niners played a lot of games and to me, he is a guy that you want kind of to change the angles, you don't want him going stripe on a stripe trying to battle somebody.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's just too lean.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: But if you can get him moving.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: laterally and, you know, involved in some of these stunts, I think he could be incredibly effective, both Ramello and Dugger.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I agree, you know, Dugger looked like a rookie.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: And it got better and better as the game goes on, I think a lot of times they'll be a play or two on the broadcast coverage where you can tell like 53 to your key you read the wrong key you're going the wrong way you're going to get to the flow of the ball.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's so like those those plays kind of stand out to a lot of people and people kind of form their opinion around man he looked really bad on that play what she did.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_00]: There were no explosive plays to his fault.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_00]: It was a learning moment, but you still are seeing the quality tackling.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_00]: You still are seeing the instincts at times where he is just man, he's seeing it.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not there all the time repetitively.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_00]: And do you have to give it to McVay?
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like McVay is cloaked dagger.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: He could scheme some stuff up.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I really thought Jay to Douger was gonna be the forefront of the McVay game plan.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_00]: It went really a lot of plays towards him.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm very happy with the performance Jayden Tucker turned in.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's not amazing.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's not, oh yeah, he's rookie the year.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's none of those things.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay, he's building.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: You talk, dude, this is a played linebacker for a year.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_00]: One year, and that was the Louisiana of Rage and Cages.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: How many times are going to reference Louisiana today?
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, not enough time.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: No, like the the the arrow is pointing up.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_00]: It really, really is.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_00]: And so the longer that he gets these reps and gets his feet wet and just understands lining up to Fred Warner, what she didn't get to do in the preseason, right?
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: Because he was out there taking snaps with other guys.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to get used to green law.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to get used to Warner.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to understand where to be, what to do and all those things.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: And so this is just the longer that he stays in the fire,
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually, the blow up is going to come in a positive way.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: He isn't explosive player.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: You were really high on him, Larry, and rightfully so, my problem was, can he read a defense?
- 46:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's never been asked to do it.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: Just going to take snaps, takes reps. No question, but he looks like he's a good fit for what they do.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's do this.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: Let's take John and I and put us in the corner, and we will call up our prize picks lineup.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: hold on hold on yeah there we go there we go okay so now we'll come over here and change the graphics around so we have the price picks graphic in there and we want to make sure we do this right oh look at that there you go
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so thank you to prize picks.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: The crew shows presented by prize picks America's number one sports picks app.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's available in most states, including California.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_01]: Sign up with code HMA and play your first $5 lineup for more, and you'll get $150 in bonus line-ups if that initial lineup is a winner.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crew show.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to go with some Niners Dolphins prize picks here.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: What jumps out to you?
- 47:29[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go one or two Niners, maybe one or two Dolphins.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: Um, any.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_00]: I see he Christian McCaffrey's longest rush.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: 13 and a half.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_00]: Chris McCaffrey's explosive ladies and gentlemen, that was at one point the third quarter where he had a 14 and a 16-yarder.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't do that almost all of the last season.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: The explosiveness has returned.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_00]: I like that bit.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: I like the dolphins of a young secondary and not a lot of past rush.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I like Brock Perti more than 19.5 in the fantasy score.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a 20 point day for Perti.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: I really think Perti's going to throw for three bills in this game.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think this dolphin secondary is young and I think he's going to roast them.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: So that those are we got two there.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: We'll come up here, we'll cancel the Niners and we'll put my amy in the box and we can go with a couple of dolphins here.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you like?
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you like?
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: You're Caleb Douglas.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: You got Chris Bell.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_00]: You have I like an over on Caleb Douglas past targets four and a half.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_00]: That one stays out to me.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_00]: Big time.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_00]: You got eight targets and it's very first game.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think dolphins will be playing from behind.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think they will be one dimensional.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they're going to have to throw the ball a lot.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_00]: You got to throw it to somebody.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_00]: and can't tell us it's a really good like yeah is very well be shocked if he leads all rookie wide receivers in scoring categories almost triple crowns the rickies uh... he looks good yeah i'm gonna i like
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: I like to have an HN over 14 rush attempts.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look at the week one.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: They couldn't get HN going for whatever reason.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: And they're going to come to Levi's on Sunday intent on getting HN rolling.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't, I don't know if it's going to work or not, but I think they don't have a backup running back worth anything.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to give him 15 rushes.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: that'll be my guess.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_01]: So let's put in our lineup and there you go.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_01]: So this is what we went with.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: We'll view our lineup and this time we went with a $20 for pick power play.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: Christian McAfrey has got to have at least a 14-yard run.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: Brock Perries has got to have a fantasy score over 19.5.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: Caleb Douglas has got to have at least five targets in Devon H and it's got to have at least 15 rush attempts.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: If all four of those things happen, our $20 becomes $200, thank you to prize picks and we'll move this all back and put ourselves back in the in the main.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_01]: main position here, but thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crew show.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_01]: And also, thank you to Sharp Corner Sports cards and collectibles.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you to Anthony Katanya there at 205 Cypress Avenue in Pacific Grove.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's at 8 3 1 5 2 1 5 2 6 4.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: Sharp Corner's 8 3 1 on the gram October 2nd is his next Friday night trade night from 6 to 9 p.m. down there at 205 Cypress Avenue in
- 50:43[SPEAKER_01]: Pacific Grove so thank you got a super chat contalia's in the you watch in the last show take him out look at that look at that we're Love that man contalia the man we appreciate Anthony and you know who's down there visiting Anthony at sharp corners and he sent me a picture of it today
- 51:01[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Secal walked in to maybe playing some golf down there and walked into the sports collectible store, so very cool.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Secal's a good dude.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: Good dude, good dude for sure.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, a couple other thoughts.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: We want to get into.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: One of the stories of the week, and I don't know if it's a legitimate story or not, but I do think it is legit.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: And that is Jeremy Fowler saying the 49ers had interest in Joey Porter Jr. And here is the story.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: There it is right there, Kochiak had it on X.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, Jeremy Fowler listed potential trade fits for Joey Porter Jr. who's in a contract situation with the Steelers.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: He wants $30 million a year.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's a great corner.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: And Fowler named the Niners as a team that could target him.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: Now, first thought, I think we would all say, now, can't see it.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: But you got to think a little deeper on this one.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: One, he says, the 49ers cornerback rotation looks stout Thursday against the Rams, but seasons are long, and Porter would help the defensive mentally.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: Niners two have eight picks in next year's draft.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: They have around 45 million in available caps face, though the plan is to roll a big chunk of that over to cover their big expenditures going into next year.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not like they really have that much money to play with.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: But he goes on to say Porter-Opsidema, LaNora would form a stout one-two corner back combo, no pun intended, of course, up to stout as on the Niners.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, he, this is a, you, as you can tell by the picture, Joey Porter is 34 in charms.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's a dominant one on, you know, man to man corner.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and I, I think this is really, really intriguing.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and I, at first, I, my first thought was, no, no, it's probably not a fit for the 49ers.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but he can play press, he can play man, um, it's over in Pittsburgh, so, you know, that you, he wants out.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: They want to move them.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, they don't want to renegotiate.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want to pay him that kind of money.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he's a very long quarter corner.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_01]: He does lack a little bit of long speed.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: But this guy can play man to man.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: And what's the new trend in the NFL?
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: I was talking to Greg Cocell about this earlier today.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_01]: He said there's a lot of three by one sets where the safety gets drawn over to the three wide receiver side.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_01]: And it's basically the boundary corner playing zero man.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_01]: you know, zero coverage and you know locked up man to man.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, in that situation, if you have Joey Porter Jr. as the boundary corner, he can be locked up in zero man and you're totally fine.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing that's kind of interesting is that who is making the call on this?
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's where he Morris and where he Morris is the guy that wanted
- 54:09[SPEAKER_01]: And why is that?
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: And they had good corners there because he's a difference maker.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: There's a belief in the NFL that if you have lockdown corners, you can do other things.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_01]: And it opens up all kinds of things that you can potentially do schematically with your fronts to try to generate rush because you've got corners that can be locked up.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: You can blitz because you can keep your corners locked up in man to man.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: Normally, I would have said, no, I don't see it.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's a fit for the Niners.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a lot of talk at a Detroit that the Lions who obviously lost out on Terry on Arnold and Jeff Akuda and all these guys, they have been trying to get that big dominant fiscal number one corner they haven't been able to do it.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_01]: I just think that the Niners love second generation football players.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: I love McAfrey.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_01]: They love people whose dad's played in the NFL.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: This guy's dad played in the NFL and you have for him more is making the call.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think for him more sees the defense of picture from the back to the front and and I don't you know, yes, we're not agreeing at a good week, but you know what you're third and fourth and fifth corners in today's NFL play and play a lot.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_01]: And they play your third and fourth and fifth corners play more than your strong side line backer as far as total snaps.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, I've heard they want a two and a four.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think of trying to jump the line and saying, here's a two or four in Ephesians' prysack?
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: Here's a tall long corner you can plug in right now Pittsburgh and we'll give you your two in your four and yes, it's a high price to pay and especially because you got to pay this guy 30 million bucks, but you know what, 49ers are not co sell me the point who are they really paying on their defense they're paying Warner and Bosa.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_01]: and Lenore, but not a lot, they're not paying tons of money to the other guys on that defense.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: So they could probably fold this guy into their plan.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know, the Niners that we think of in past years, I don't think I think they would think more front to back, but the Niners with Rahim Morris as the defense coordinator may think back to front.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that Jeremy Fowler didn't just throw the Niners in that name in that mix for giggles.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's sourced.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: I bet you anything that he's talked to somebody and they have interest.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Porter wants to go there.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think all players that want to make this field want to go there like this is a destination and people can miss me with the offseason stuff and the sub station and prices for whatever else.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, my Kevin's Christian Kirk guys want to be here because it's a winning organization with quality coaching and a quarterback in place.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_00]: Joey Porter Jr's awesome my biggest issue isn't the draft capital you got to give up form it's the price you got to pay up 30 million dollars and that corner market has just exploded in two weeks and that's why he's refusing to play I ain't paying until I get paid and I just spent through a lot of that.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_00]: Your better with Joey Porter now I do think the 49ers corner room is strong I mean you're
- 57:36[SPEAKER_00]: You're finding creative ways to get four corners on the field at that time package because Jack Jones, you can't keep on the sidelines.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_00]: Two damn good.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: You've got demo sign through 2029, Ronaldo Green is signed through next season up to the stats got two more seasons on top of that.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_00]: So you've got continuity and youth in the the corner room.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_00]: Joey Porter.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_00]: I would argue is better than any corner you have.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_00]: I would put him above Teemo.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he said number.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_01]: He'd be their number one corner to be the number one guy.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's that good.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm okay with the second round pick.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_00]: I struggle going more than that.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_00]: Once we get to the 30 million a year, I'm just like, dude, how do you swing that?
- 58:19[SPEAKER_00]: Niners are negative.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_00]: Not just next year, but the following year already.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_00]: But he's a difference maker.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's like,
- 58:29[SPEAKER_00]: I struggle with the draft capital and the salary cap on top of it, especially whenever you have bigger needs on the defensive line.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_00]: I give you a going to trade for a position, but no team is trading players.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now, this is a unique situation.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_00]: So for all the trade, you know, whatever stuff that gets put out there, most of them, not realistic, because teams are not selling right now.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_00]: This is different because you have a disgruntled cap situation.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: So this is a player that is available.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why I think it does deserve credence.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not willing to give up a second and 30 million a year, even if the player's worth it, just because the four dears capture situation moving forward.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_00]: I would rather re-sign trade green law, rather bringing some more defensive linemen, but damn, getting him on there.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_00]: That would be who you're going to, you're going to bench Ronaldo Green.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_00]: You're just going to have Ronaldo Green not take snaps anymore.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_00]: I want them all, I want to keep an article green too, I want to keep an article green.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_00]: What if you do, okay, I'm sorry, I'm thinking right off top of head, what if you do an article green in a third, I mean, that works too, you're the nighter's GM, like, I mean, comfortable put that on the table?
- 59:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's a two and a three.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, not a green.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's good to look at this.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to get off of that.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's always idiots in my chat.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_01]: Why are there idiots?
- 59:55[SPEAKER_01]: But why are there always idiots in my chat?
- 59:58[SPEAKER_01]: Seriously, look at this one.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, this is unbelievable.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know it.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, here we go.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_01]: She was about that.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do this ball out, man.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_01]: He was so good.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_01]: Why do I hate Ronaldo?
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's amazing.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_01]: A nine or person shared with me in the playoffs that Ronaldo, in his opinion, didn't fit and was a likely trade candidate.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think they probably considered it, but they've changed the coordinator, and the new coordinator was like, hey, I like this guy.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: I like this guy.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_01]: or at least said something on lines of, I'll work with this guy.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_01]: I just shared with you the trade rumor that I was told in Philadelphia.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not rooting for it.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not wishing for it.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't calling for it.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: I was sharing with you what I was told.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_01]: And just because I share that with you a few times in streams, people are like, oh, you're wishing for an out, you hate Ronaldo.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_00]: People read a lot into what you say, which is awesome because they should, but yeah, sometimes you can take it a little too far.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_00]: And like, and for the f them picks crowd, look at the two biggest traits that happen this off season, the two biggest traits, Miles Garrett and AJ Brown.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_01]: Both on IR after one week.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_01]: So it doesn't always heal.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_01]: Larry Ninja.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_00]: I miss this.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_01]: Ninja's cool, Larry.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_01]: Chill.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's also chill.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_01]: Now I got these.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_01]: Now I got guys backing.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_01]: Wall of war.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_01]: Wall of war.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_01]: What a. I love it, man.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, they're family dudes.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_00]: They bond.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_00]: I love the community.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_01]: And the community.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_01]: Rise up.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_01]: They're rising up.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_01]: Ninja pro.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_01]: Stay off a ninja.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_01]: Let ninja rip you crude.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's my wife.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's my wife.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_00]: That you found my burner account.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's that's what's happening here.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_00]: Damn it.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_00]: All you guys beat it.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_01]: Knowing S.O.B.s.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm just joking.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_01]: But um, but no, I'm not rooting for.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_01]: I like Renardo.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: Renardo is serious.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_01]: I've interviewed him.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_01]: I've talked to him.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_01]: I really like him.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I was just sharing with people what I was told that in this guy's opinion, Renardo didn't fit in a locker room, Ricky, according to him was also good, these guys were on the trade market.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I just shared that, I shared that.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_01]: So, so what can I say?
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not rooting for anything.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_00]: How would he 49 very chill laws cool dude.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling they got each other's backs.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, well, I'm pretty freaking cool, too.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_01]: How about how about law chill out?
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_01]: How about ninja chill out.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_01]: Crews cool.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_01]: Can we get somebody in the chat who's like, hey, ninja, check yourself.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_01]: This, you know, Krug's all right.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_01]: Look at this.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_01]: Now we get another guy in here.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_01]: Krug is salty about looter still.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I didn't want to lose looter.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I didn't want to lose looter.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I definitely, I'm all about
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_01]: Raheem if Raheem wants to make this move, I'd give Raheem, I put, if I were shanahan, if I was Lynch, I would take myself out of it and put, let Raheem do this.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_00]: Louder than even play week one, by the way.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still playing out there.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean,
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_01]: I just like Looter because I think Looter is the prototype.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I think I feel pretty vindicated by the fact that five teams claimed him and only two, only like one player, only one other player was claimed by more than one team and Looter was claimed by five teams.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that kind of proof that, hey, you know what, maybe a little bit more value than you.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_00]: I was wrong on Looter by the way.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't throw that out there.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's asking, but I was wrong.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_00]: All right, now people are showing me love in the chat.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, guys, we're coming together.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, let's love up on a, let's love up on the channel host here.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, let's love up, there we go.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_01]: Rise 4329.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_01]: L.O.L.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_01]: We love you.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_01]: All right, all right, all right.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I won't, I'm not just going to rip all the cords out and just go spinanas on the studio and just lose it.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be mad.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_00]: It'd be good content.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_01]: We could come to it.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_00]: Take me a long time and I have a cave come over here, cave.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_01]: Can you plug everything back in?
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I just torch my setup because somebody called me had to be trolled me.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's God, dammit!
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, no, I'm just joking, but no, I like Renardo Green is not I'm not anti-Renardo Green I was really excited when they drafted him and I'm I don't care about it Have whatever personality you want.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't need you to fit in and if you want to be of lone wolf be a lone wolf How is this sharing with you guys what I had heard?
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact that didn't come to fruition, it's like people are losing their mind.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_01]: What if it had come to fruition, am I now the omniscient all-knowing narrator of nine-year football?
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's how I have your contact saved in my phone, actually.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what it's under.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm an omniscient narrator of all that is correct.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_01]: That is correct.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_00]: How could I do that if that's one party?
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_01]: We got this one.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers now.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are mad, Krug isn't David Lombardi.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_01]: Do when you piss people off, you're doing something right.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_00]: When you piss both sides off, that's when you are just spot on.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not delusit.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_01]: No, anyway.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_01]: All right, good stuff, good stuff.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_01]: Give me a game ball.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_01]: Give me a surprise game ball.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_01]: I talked to a guy today in the locker room that I'm gonna give my game ball to, I had three great conversations today in the locker room.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_01]: Two of them on tape, one of them just at his locker.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_01]: Ocaronquo and you guys banging on me because I said I've been calling him agbo Right, agbo, Ocaronquo.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I went up to him and I'm like, hey, bro.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_01]: I got a YouTube channel And I love watching your game.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm big fan of your game, but I've been calling you agbo And he's like, okay, no, no, it's the g silent.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's Obo.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_01]: So I go, okay, I can go Obo.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_01]: I go Obo, Ocaronquo.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, you got the last name down.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_01]: The Ocaronquo.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_00]: So that's I stick with that because I messed up the first name every time too.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_01]: So the better way to say it is his real first name is Obonia.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_01]: Obonia, Obonia with the jeeping silent.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like agbania, but it's Obonia, Obonia, Obonia.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_00]: So a long quote.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, my name's John.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_00]: What do I do in this situation?
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, my name's John, but I go by John.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_01]: John Boy.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_01]: My middle name's Lamar.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_01]: I could go by that.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_01]: You could go by that.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_01]: You could go, uh, you could go jail.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like jail scinner.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_01]: JL Chapman.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's your, that's your, that's where it comes from.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_00]: JL Chapman.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_01]: But no, I mean, great guy, great guy, and we had a really good conversation and, you know, he's like, hey man, I'm out here on the West Coast.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm living by myself.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_01]: I said, what do you do outside of football?
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, you know what, this year?
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_01]: I am all in, I so much want to win the Super Bowl that I'm just focused on football.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, I just live near the, near here.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just here home, here home, film, here home, training.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm not worried about family or anything.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just all focused on winning the ring this year.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was pretty cool.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, Obonia, Ocaronquo.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_01]: Then I had a great conversation with James Thompson.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_01]: We talked a little weightlifting.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_01]: We talked a little bit about his interests.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_01]: Really great guy.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, unbelievably great guy.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_01]: But the guy who's getting and those guys could have gotten my gameball.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_01]: But the guy who's getting my gameball is the guy that I talked to at his locker.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I walked up to him and I said, bro, you're just blowing, you're just blowing dudes up out there.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you think I was talking to?
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so did he do?
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I've been good too.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I was wrong.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_01]: I was wrong.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're wrong.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_01]: You're wrong.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I went up to my my dude.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_01]: I love the way you're just blowing dudes up out there.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_01]: Just absolutely blowing people up.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you, who blew people up in week one?
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_01]: Marky Siegel.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_01]: Marky Siegel.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_01]: We got to see Johnny's noses, Niners.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_01]: Marky Siegel.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, yeah, man, that's, that's what I'm trying to do.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, get ready for more that this week against Miami.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_01]: I really like Marky Siegel.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I was talking to him.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, you know, at K state.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_01]: I was like 1.93, 1.95 in that range.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, now I'm up over 200, I'm stronger.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, man, you're bringing the, you're bringing the, you're, you're laying the wood on these freaks.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're just knocking guys around.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, I love it.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's like, and guys who love to hit love to hit, you know what I mean?
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_01]: You get the feeling like, you know, they're not like, oh, I'm hitting hard.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_01]: But I really don't love it, no, not a pro.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_01]: You're you're blowing people up because you love it.
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_01]: You love it.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_01]: And so I would give my under, I mean, if I'm going game ball, how do you not go, post, how do you not go Fred, how do you not go Evans, how do you not go Brock, Shannon Han, Raheem.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's some great candidates.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_01]: But as far as under the radar
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what I want you to give me one.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_01]: Give me an under the radar game.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm going to give my under the radar Gable under the radar game ball to Marquis Eagle for the hard hitting this guy.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_01]: This guy just brought his body up and just hold himself at a number of different guys and just.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm like, that's gonna leave a mark.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's gonna leave a mark.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like talking to him about it today and seeing the smile on his face.
- 1:10:05[SPEAKER_01]: He loves where he's at.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_01]: He loves his fit in this defense.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he is ready for lift off.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I would expect, you said Caleb Douglass had a big week.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_01]: Caleb Douglass did have a big week, but he's also pretty skinny.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like Caleb Douglass, you better watch out because Marky's Seagull.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_01]: Marky Seagulls is bringing the heat at safety.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_01]: So he gets my under the radar game ball.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: Who gets your under the radar game ball?
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm staying in the secondary.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_00]: Up and stout, I thought, I couldn't find one negative play on the kid.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_00]: Every single thing that he did was a splash play consistently, and you know, we talked about pressures on Stafford What it had to pick six if Stafford didn't ground one of them?
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_00]: Very positive in the run game got a tack for loss got two of the hits on Stafford himself I think Upton Stout is the like people always say like man, who's the last home run draft pick?
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_00]: You got to go back to Brock party
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think Upton Stout is him.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he has potential to be the best nickel corner in the NFL and is just such it and I love this too because Miami runs more 11 personnel.
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_00]: Then almost anybody week one in the NFL.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_00]: So Upton Stout's going to get even more snaps this week.
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_00]: I hate whenever I like Jayden Dougher and I wanted to keep getting those snaps, but I hate being in the fourth three.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_00]: I went up and stout out there every single step of the game.
- 1:11:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's our best corner overall.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to move him outside in nickel, but I am just president of the up-and-stout fan club.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_00]: He gets my underappreciated ball of the game.
- 1:11:38[SPEAKER_01]: pound for pound.
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_01]: One of the toughest players on the team for sure.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_01]: Play so physical.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's a small kid on the field.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_01]: So physical.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_01]: So physical.
- 1:11:46[SPEAKER_01]: My favorite play in the game was when Stout was it wasn't didn't stout blitz on a play where Jones got a P. B. U. Yep.
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_01]: That was a great play because Jones is great in coverage and stouts great as a blitzer.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_01]: And when you can blitz, stout and replace him in the coverage with Jones.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_01]: And that's win-win, right?
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting the Russia and you're getting the, you might get the pick.
- 1:12:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think if they did that a bunch, you're either stouts going to get some sacks or Jones is going to get some picks.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_01]: But I love the idea of using those two guys, stout to speed up the quarterback and Jones to pick them off.
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Jones, Jones, I got to talk to Jones, by the way, Jones walks around the locker room, like he's like, it's his, like he owns that stadium.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's awesome.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the confidence.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_01]: You got to love the confidence in a true corner.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_00]: He played eight snaps and made such a big impact.
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like eight snaps.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_00]: Get that guy out there.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that guy out there, that guy's stuck guys.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_00]: This is my hesitation to talk about the trade and porter, because it's like, dude, I want Jack Jones to get more snaps.
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_00]: I want up to and stop to get more snaps, like corners is strength of this team, and it's crazy.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_01]: I get it, but here's the other thing.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_01]: When you run out of corners, you're kind of done, and when you run out of corners, then what's left?
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're worried about your corner depth, I don't know if I can lean on price-ock.
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_01]: And if you can get this guy for price-ock in a pick, man, I would be all about that.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_01]: The money part is a big question, but I really think Reheem wants to pay.
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think he wants another dominant back, back, you know, back-end guy and Porter is also a force off the edge, the way where he likes to blitz.
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of feel like Porter could be Porter's Raw, too.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's got that rawness that Joey had, that his dad had and I just feel like the Niners probably are in love with that.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_01]: My guess is he'll wind up into Troy, but I'd love to see him here.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_01]: All right, it is time for our supers and then we will vote for the door.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_01]: Running gone a little longer than usual, but I had to.
- 1:13:58[SPEAKER_00]: We always do Larry.
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's what we do.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's what we do That's what we do If you if I say I'm going 50 I'm going 115 if I say I'm going 115 we're going an hour and a half If I say I'm going an hour and a half we're gonna be here all fucking night.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_01]: Larry said we're going 45 and we're at 115 and I Sorry, and sorry for the swearing by the way I know there's some people that watch with kids and I try to keep it under control.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_01]: All right
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_01]: A raisin brand done, which is a, let's just an awesome handle, I like raisin brand done, or is it raisin brand in both are awesome.
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, maybe it's, well, it's got to be raisin brand, right, raisin is raisin is raisin brand with a D or no, so it's a brand.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_01]: So it could be raisin brand done.
- 1:14:46[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I could be wrong here.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_01]: Or it could be, it could be raising Brandon 35.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, as a person who really loved raising Brandon as a kid, I'm calling you raising Brandon on.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_01]: All right, anyway, he says, I had, I had good room cooked by a local thin like flank.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's not how I had it.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_00]: That is not how I had it.
- 1:15:07[SPEAKER_00]: But next time, there we go.
- 1:15:09[SPEAKER_00]: Next time.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_01]: sounds awful.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, I must be honest, uh, hymns defer Johnson, upton shark 2.0.
- 1:15:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, shark 2 K-1 Williams, baby.
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_00]: He even does the shark blitz.
- 1:15:23[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 1:15:23[SPEAKER_00]: K-1 Williams was awesome.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_00]: Upton has unlimited potential over K-1 Williams.
- 1:15:29[SPEAKER_00]: What's, you know, he, he couldn't guard that slot fade.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_00]: It was just his Achilles heel and just got toasted all the time.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't realize that was the nickname for K1.
- 1:15:39[SPEAKER_01]: He was the, he's shark.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_01]: Is that why he was always, yep, yep.
- 1:15:42[SPEAKER_01]: That was his nickname.
- 1:15:44[SPEAKER_01]: Let's start calling myself shark.
- 1:15:46[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, just in the middle of the stream.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_01]: Just the middle of the stream.
- 1:15:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's right, folks.
- 1:15:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 1:15:53[SPEAKER_01]: Poked myself in the eye, break my nose, I'm out.
- 1:15:55[UNKNOWN]: Ah, bleeding.
- 1:15:57[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have the helmet on.
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_01]: The shark is gone down.
- 1:16:00[SPEAKER_01]: The shark is bleeding.
- 1:16:01[SPEAKER_00]: Self-inflicted, shark wound.
- 1:16:06[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I'm right now.
- 1:16:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just I'm just I'm using myself, but we've got this one from Michael TJ slate and maybe available odd man out in Cincinnati.
- 1:16:17[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's interesting.
- 1:16:19[SPEAKER_00]: Um, we just got me kindly their other odd man out.
- 1:16:22[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't mind picking Devon Eastern off Seattle's practice squad.
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_01]: John Schneider, are you listening?
- 1:16:27[SPEAKER_01]: Anthony Catonius in the house, another amazing show.
- 1:16:30[SPEAKER_01]: Hope all is well to you both.
- 1:16:32[SPEAKER_01]: Nick's a Kel stop by the shop yesterday.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Great guy.
- 1:16:35[SPEAKER_01]: Go Niners.
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Nick's is a Kel's a good dude.
- 1:16:39[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 1:16:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's a sports historian.
- 1:16:41[SPEAKER_00]: He wrote his dissertation on, I think, Barry Bonds.
- 1:16:45[SPEAKER_00]: If my wife didn't know that.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I really like Nick's a Kel.
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_01]: Really good dude, really good dude.
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_01]: M. Bayless is get Porter now before the Rams are Seattle.
- 1:16:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, if Seattle wants Terry on Arnold, what do you think they would think it's going to, this guy's going to caution more.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_01]: But you know what, like when I was talking to John Lund about at the other day on the radio, John's like, hey, man, I love the idea just don't want to trade that number one.
- 1:17:09[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if the price tag is a two and a four, I think that might be reasonable.
- 1:17:14[SPEAKER_01]: And the way the Niners have kind of not done great on some of their picks.
- 1:17:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the pick price seems fair, seems fair.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_01]: It almost seems like it might be a good deal.
- 1:17:23[SPEAKER_01]: Mendez says, what's up guys, if the Niners have a great start, do you see them making some trades?
- 1:17:29[SPEAKER_01]: I see them tweets, I see some tweets earlier this week about bringing back to Forest Buckner.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't think to force partners coming back.
- 1:17:38[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think the 49ers are going to make trades.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_01]: But I, you know, how aggressive there'll be.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure.
- 1:17:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to say, Lynch is always kind of reference to it like a challenge to the roster like if you guys play well and we get to November and we're right there at the deadline.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_01]: We will, we will step up and support the locker room with some, you know, a significant move of some kind.
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_01]: And he's always done that.
- 1:18:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I love the move that he made last year for Key on White.
- 1:18:03[SPEAKER_01]: Look how good Key on White looks.
- 1:18:04[SPEAKER_01]: he was fantastic.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I'm a big fan of Lynch and I know lots of people are like, oh, Lynch is struggled in this net.
- 1:18:13[SPEAKER_01]: We can all see, but personnel is hard, okay?
- 1:18:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's not easy.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_01]: If it was super easy, there would be dynasties left and right.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's a hard thing to pick players.
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not giving him an excuse or, you know, and just because I like him, I'm just saying he's done some good trades.
- 1:18:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's made some good picks.
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's had some mistakes, but I don't think I would fire him.
- 1:18:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think I would, I think I would still like to see John running the show.
- 1:18:40[SPEAKER_01]: They have had deep rosters many of the years he's been there.
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_01]: So that's kind of, I had to think this one over because I really don't want John to get fired, but at the same time, I'm really frustrated by some of the moves they've made.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and but that's where it sits with me.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm frustrated by it.
- 1:18:58[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't mind seeing them be better at drafting.
- 1:19:01[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but maybe the solution is, you know, F them damn picks like less need and trading a few of them for veterans and trying to get over the top that way.
- 1:19:09[SPEAKER_01]: If you get close enough, it's not a bad idea and they might be in that close enough window.
- 1:19:13[SPEAKER_01]: All right, John, that is going to do it for us.
- 1:19:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you the final word before we bolt for the door.
- 1:19:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's always fun to stream with you.
- 1:19:19[SPEAKER_01]: John and I stream Wednesdays at 7.15 tonight.
- 1:19:22[SPEAKER_01]: It was 7.30 because I was pushing a little late with the Niners schedule appreciate John.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I like our Wednesday time period.
- 1:19:31[SPEAKER_01]: I like our window.
- 1:19:33[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll give you the final word.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's been a
- 1:19:36[SPEAKER_00]: eventful day in 900 land with the dribbling news with the ton just news and obviously the Niners getting back on the practice field final thought before we pull the plug Man, what a great week open up one in O against a division rival and now you've got the Dolphins Who might be one of the worst teams of the NFL coming in the house for the season opener?
- 1:19:55[SPEAKER_00]: This is a wonderful time.
- 1:19:57[SPEAKER_00]: If you are a fan and you're struggling and you're upset about whatever Whether it's injuries or somebody not playing well or not making a huge straight
- 1:20:06[SPEAKER_00]: reset.
- 1:20:07[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers are in control of their own destiny and they're ahead of the April.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_00]: You got to love where they're at.
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a lot of fun this week.
- 1:20:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think the 9ers win.
- 1:20:16[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk more about that on both of our shows respectively, but good time to be a 49ers fan there.
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_00]: No question.
- 1:20:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing a regular by monthly.
- 1:20:26[SPEAKER_01]: Is by monthly mean twice a month?
- 1:20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:20:30[SPEAKER_00]: Or is it
- 1:20:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's bi-weekly twice a month.
- 1:20:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's semi-monthly, right?
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_01]: It would be semi-monthly.
- 1:20:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_00]: How about this?
- 1:20:39[SPEAKER_00]: Bi-weekly is two every other week.
- 1:20:42[SPEAKER_01]: OK, so bi-weekly, I'm doing a deal with great cocell from NFL films and we just had them on the morning.
- 1:20:51[SPEAKER_01]: And we put it out.
- 1:20:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I can't believe what it's done.
- 1:20:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's got like 75,000 views.
- 1:21:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's an amazing, well, dude, I mean, Greg deserves it all.
- 1:21:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just having him on, but it's really good stuff.
- 1:21:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's I'm very proud of it.
- 1:21:08[SPEAKER_01]: If you watched the crew show on YouTube for the live stream, so some people watch the live stream, so watch the videos, some people watch the videos, don't watch the live stream, like get it all.
- 1:21:17[SPEAKER_01]: But,
- 1:21:18[SPEAKER_01]: go check out Greco so half hour I was from earlier today and he had several great observations offensively defensively how the Niners beat the Rams it's really really good stuff I think and he'll be back with us in a couple weeks so check that out if you can on on the crew show on YouTube.
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_01]: But that's going to do it.
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks to prize picks.
