- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to and Natty to carrying each other.
- 0:10Speaker 2: On the air, there's prop Control.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Kine Studio.
- 0:18Speaker 3: It's off the Bench, Say We're yeah No TV Hour
- 1:01Speaker 3: number three Live from the Raids of Cane Studio.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Jake Olandra Tate here with you. No answer yet from
- 1:08Speaker 4: the Hybrid rock Star. I believe we were shooting for nine.
- 1:16Speaker 4: I don't have an answer yet.
- 1:20Speaker 5: You mean to tell me? Uh, Matt's a big boy
- 1:23Speaker 5: in us.
- 1:24Speaker 6: He's probably still sleeping.
- 1:28Speaker 4: That man loves to sleep, and since he didn't have
- 1:31Speaker 4: to get up early today obviously coming to the show.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I don't believe the kids are with him. I believe
- 1:36Speaker 4: it's just him and the missus. So sorry, Per's still sleeping.
- 1:43Speaker 5: She's gonna have to do everything. He's gonna sleep on
- 1:45Speaker 5: the way there, on the way home.
- 1:48Speaker 6: Uh, he's gonna be miserable on the way home.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Can you imagine doing something like that like Elandri, you
- 1:54Speaker 4: just had a big race not that long ago. Can
- 1:57Speaker 4: you imagine going through that race and then getting in
- 1:59Speaker 4: a car for four hours?
- 2:01Speaker 5: No, I couldn't, dude. I didn't like driving home from
- 2:05Speaker 5: track meets in high school and it was like an
- 2:07Speaker 5: hour less go into Houston.
- 2:10Speaker 7: No, no, like every step I was taking was hurting me.
- 2:16Speaker 7: But I can't imagine like sitting in a car and
- 2:18Speaker 7: then getting all stiff and not being able and then
- 2:20Speaker 7: like getting out of the car after even sitting in it.
- 2:24Speaker 6: There's gonna have to be a Bucky stop along the way, yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Bab.
- 2:31Speaker 7: Yeah, but this is what I do. I stop in
- 2:34Speaker 7: Baytown at the BUCkies and then I stop in Lafayette
- 2:38Speaker 7: at Billie's. And that's like that's enough for it to
- 2:42Speaker 7: be long enough that you're driving but also not at
- 2:45Speaker 7: the same time.
- 2:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a good gap too, like Lafayette is a
- 2:48Speaker 5: good gap.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 5: That's my favorite BUCkies. The Baytown BUCkies is my favorite.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Absolutely despise the BUCkies and golf doors. Love the Baytown Buckets.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Okay, well, sir, with passion like that, I think we
- 2:59Speaker 4: have to explore why you hate the one.
- 3:02Speaker 5: The BUCkies Golf Shore, right there on Beach Boulevard has
- 3:06Speaker 5: a bigger tailgating crowd than ninety percent of FCS colleges.
- 3:10Speaker 5: I mean, people sit in their tailgates chowing down on
- 3:13Speaker 5: the brisket sandwich. I understand they're good, but like my guy,
- 3:17Speaker 5: your camper and your truck has taken up three parking spots.
- 3:20Speaker 5: We got to get you in and out, like just
- 3:22Speaker 5: just go in there, buy your sandwiches, eat them in
- 3:24Speaker 5: the car like everybody else can get out. Yeah, it's
- 3:26Speaker 5: it's awful.
- 3:27Speaker 6: The one that we stopped at in Mississippi, the new.
- 3:30Speaker 7: Like that, Yeah, because it was smaller. It's a little
- 3:33Speaker 7: bit smaller and there weren't a whole bunch of people
- 3:35Speaker 7: in there.
- 3:36Speaker 5: That's the one that's it's right outside of Basint louis
- 3:38Speaker 5: real close to it.
- 3:39Speaker 6: So yeah, I don't know. Buckets an adventure.
- 3:43Speaker 7: I love BUCkies too, it's great. I went to BUCkies
- 3:46Speaker 7: twice in one week that time we went because I
- 3:49Speaker 7: just got back from Houston, like I did. Bear Bryant
- 3:52Speaker 7: and I went to the BUCkies in Baytown on the
- 3:54Speaker 7: way back.
- 3:55Speaker 6: You went three times then, because yeah there the way back.
- 3:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I have BUCkies three times in one week and
- 4:03Speaker 7: don't even live near one.
- 4:04Speaker 4: God, I would pull pork sandwich right now and not
- 4:09Speaker 4: sign sign me up. I wonder how uh how old
- 4:14Speaker 4: Flynn's doing mentally, this decision he's made to go out
- 4:18Speaker 4: there and do that, do this he did to himself.
- 4:22Speaker 6: We're with you, though, if you need us, if you
- 4:25Speaker 6: need us, we are here for a call.
- 4:26Speaker 5: I think he's fun.
- 4:28Speaker 6: We're here for a call.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Uh didn't do great in the old basketball picks last
- 4:32Speaker 4: night that Marlar and I put out. I'm pretty sure
- 4:34Speaker 4: I went over four pre sure went over at Arkansas covering.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I had Purdue covering. I think I had Houston covering,
- 4:44Speaker 4: and I had the under in Iowa Nebraska. To that point,
- 4:49Speaker 4: I had a winning record in the tournament. There gonna
- 4:52Speaker 4: be a lot of work.
- 4:53Speaker 5: To do now, all right, during break we were respect
- 4:57Speaker 5: Is this.
- 4:57Speaker 6: What Flynn feels like?
- 4:59Speaker 4: Because like normally I I would I'd be locked in,
- 5:01Speaker 4: I'd be dialed in, i would know these teams incredibly well.
- 5:04Speaker 4: But since I've transitioned away from college sports radio, just
- 5:09Speaker 4: not dialed in and I'm just kind of winging it
- 5:11Speaker 4: here a little bit based off like what the analytics
- 5:15Speaker 4: of the game are telling us.
- 5:17Speaker 6: So is this how Matt feels all the time any sport?
- 5:20Speaker 5: Yeah, outside of the NFL. Yeah, looking at your picture
- 5:25Speaker 5: today though, Like.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Saying that since I'm not as dialed into Oh yeah, yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 4: that's how Matten.
- 5:30Speaker 6: This is how Matt always feels.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I got your picks pulled up for today though.
- 5:36Speaker 5: I mean I was State, I was stated it's just
- 5:39Speaker 5: such a good basketball program. They're a team that just
- 5:41Speaker 5: seems like every year people forget they exist, and then
- 5:44Speaker 5: they just always wind up in the Elite eight. I
- 5:47Speaker 5: don't see why that can't happen again.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I've got Iowa State minus three and a half.
- 5:51Speaker 4: That number feels so small for how good they are. Yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 4: so I when I I would stay minus three and
- 5:56Speaker 4: a half. I got Duke covering against Saint John's, Michigan
- 6:01Speaker 4: covering against Alabama.
- 6:02Speaker 6: That's more of a hope play.
- 6:04Speaker 7: Uh.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Then we've got Yukon and Michigan State and a rock
- 6:07Speaker 4: Fight and gonna be under one thirty four and a half.
- 6:14Speaker 4: None of these teams are moving me either.
- 6:17Speaker 5: No, I mean there's just you were talking about the
- 6:19Speaker 5: lack of excitement coming into the tournament. There's probably even
- 6:22Speaker 5: less now.
- 6:23Speaker 6: I think it has been so called a major team
- 6:25Speaker 6: in the Sweet sixteen.
- 6:26Speaker 5: No, I mean you're Cinderella. I guess if you just
- 6:29Speaker 5: want to go seeding. Why, I says, I wad because
- 6:30Speaker 5: they were a nine seed. But I mean even that's
- 6:33Speaker 5: a big program.
- 6:34Speaker 4: The first time they've made the Elite eight. In gosh,
- 6:36Speaker 4: you could fact check me on this. I think since
- 6:38Speaker 4: nineteen eighty seven. I believe so that program. But still
- 6:42Speaker 4: it's a big ten program.
- 6:43Speaker 6: You know. It's not George Mason maybe.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Right, and then they'd been good. I mean they had
- 6:48Speaker 5: Luca Garza a couple of years ago, who was right
- 6:50Speaker 5: there with the Wooden Award. I mean they've had big
- 6:52Speaker 5: time players for sure.
- 6:55Speaker 4: I was watching Iowa Nebraska and I was like, I
- 6:59Speaker 4: think I've ever watched the these two teams play each
- 7:00Speaker 4: other where there wasn't a pulling guard.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Yeah, Iowa Nebraska. I think about when's the.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Last wasn't on the football field.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Nebraska won their first NCAA Tournament game in history this year.
- 7:17Speaker 5: That's wild to think about, I know, because I mean
- 7:19Speaker 5: I get it they're a football school, but like, well,
- 7:22Speaker 5: she's won plenty, yeah, I mean Nebraska their first one.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I saw as Connor Garret that stat that I said,
- 7:30Speaker 4: like they Nebraska wins their first n c Double Tournament game.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Indiana wins a national championship in football. They talked about
- 7:40Speaker 4: how long it been since Indiana been to the NCAA
- 7:42Speaker 4: tournament and Nebraska football hasn't been, has not beaten an
- 7:47Speaker 4: AP Top twenty five team in two decades like that.
- 7:51Speaker 6: Hou's like, what how is that even possible?
- 7:56Speaker 5: Here we are, this is the year the Big ten
- 7:58Speaker 5: gets it done, because I think it is once since
- 8:03Speaker 5: Michigan State.
- 8:04Speaker 6: What was that two team cleaves?
- 8:06Speaker 4: Baby Landro, I know you were happy last night that
- 8:12Speaker 4: Texas went down in heartbreaking fashion.
- 8:14Speaker 7: No, I actually wasn't because because I had them in
- 8:18Speaker 7: the final four. Okay, yeah, I had.
- 8:21Speaker 6: Them in the You have them in the final four,
- 8:23Speaker 6: So you were about to look real smart.
- 8:24Speaker 7: I told you I picked all the Texas teams. Yeah,
- 8:27Speaker 7: I put like, if there's a Texas team, I was
- 8:30Speaker 7: picking them except for A and M.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Right, but typically typically you'll do that. But even with
- 8:36Speaker 4: the Longhorns, you draw the line somewhere.
- 8:38Speaker 7: Yeah, well, they weren't going up against LSU or anything.
- 8:43Speaker 5: I mean, none of us are great.
- 8:45Speaker 7: I mean I was Houston winning all of it.
- 8:47Speaker 5: She has one team left, Matt has one, You and
- 8:49Speaker 5: I have two, So I mean none of us are
- 8:52Speaker 5: like we're all, we're.
- 8:53Speaker 7: All, it's out there's this Cinderella story.
- 8:57Speaker 5: So I just don't Yeah, like literally I was the
- 9:00Speaker 5: syndre and like.
- 9:01Speaker 4: You talk about like with men's and women's basketball, like
- 9:03Speaker 4: women's basketball, it's typically the.
- 9:07Speaker 6: Elite, Like the elite move on. There's no mid majors.
- 9:10Speaker 4: But that's okay because that's what we've become accustomed to,
- 9:12Speaker 4: Like we're used to that. Yeah, but now because a
- 9:15Speaker 4: lot of these teams, their best players are playing for
- 9:18Speaker 4: the power programs in a year or two, we don't
- 9:22Speaker 4: have the mid majors anymore that are going to go
- 9:24Speaker 4: out there and have a run.
- 9:26Speaker 6: Like high Point was fun.
- 9:27Speaker 4: High Point, you know, one to be Wisconsin. They had
- 9:30Speaker 4: a good second round game. But like even high Point,
- 9:33Speaker 4: I don't know if you have seen their campus. They've
- 9:36Speaker 4: got like this incredible arena, Like their their campus is very.
- 9:42Speaker 7: I mean it's North Carolina, right, so like Virginia's is
- 9:45Speaker 7: some I mean, North Carolina is a nice place.
- 9:52Speaker 4: So like even that though it's an investment, they put
- 9:54Speaker 4: money into the program. Yeah, it's kind of sad like
- 9:57Speaker 4: where we're at right now and there's like no mid
- 9:59Speaker 4: majors things.
- 10:00Speaker 7: His sister Gene to like cheer four and that was
- 10:05Speaker 7: the exciting part of March madness.
- 10:07Speaker 6: To me, I'm with you.
- 10:09Speaker 7: I'm just really not into.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Your Oh wow, yeah, this thing looks like a really
- 10:15Speaker 5: nice mall food.
- 10:19Speaker 6: There's no doubt that's exactly. That's the statues.
- 10:25Speaker 5: It's elite.
- 10:26Speaker 6: You get that money from.
- 10:29Speaker 5: I don't know. Is it a private Yes, it is?
- 10:32Speaker 6: What is high Point?
- 10:35Speaker 7: Let's do some high Point?
- 10:38Speaker 8: I know.
- 10:38Speaker 7: But okay, so it's Methodists affiliated, So I don't know,
- 10:42Speaker 7: maybe because s m us Methodists and they're super rich.
- 10:47Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 10:47Speaker 5: If it's like a which which which billionaire is is
- 10:51Speaker 5: a Methodist and has donating money. That's what we need
- 10:53Speaker 5: to figure out.
- 10:53Speaker 6: I mean, same thing with liberty. Liberty is Baptist though
- 10:56Speaker 6: right I think so.
- 10:57Speaker 5: But I mean the same thing.
- 10:58Speaker 6: A ton of money shout out to high Point.
- 11:02Speaker 5: I mean you're talking about there being no Cinderella kind
- 11:05Speaker 5: of the men's being top heavy Illinois. Their coach is
- 11:08Speaker 5: probably gonna get poached.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Who's illinois've been there a long time.
- 11:17Speaker 6: He's been there a very long time.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Yeah, so somebody breaking down the path and the like,
- 11:21Speaker 5: he would have know.
- 11:21Speaker 6: I know, look when you and Sea's open. Obviously there's
- 11:24Speaker 6: gonna be like you.
- 11:25Speaker 7: Say, A and M wait, who does Illinois Illinois?
- 11:29Speaker 6: Yeah, who has been there for a long time.
- 11:31Speaker 4: But when you and Sea's open, athletic directors get nervous
- 11:35Speaker 4: because nobody says it's like when LSU football is open.
- 11:37Speaker 6: You're not going to like that.
- 11:39Speaker 5: You know, you're not gonna say no to.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Them programs like that. No, it's North Carolina.
- 11:44Speaker 5: Well, I saw somebody breaking it down yesterday about his
- 11:48Speaker 5: connection to Kansas. He's from the state of Kansas. Now,
- 11:50Speaker 5: he went to Kansas State, but he went Oklahoma State
- 11:53Speaker 5: to Illinois basket. Yeah, he went Oklahoma State coaching to Illinois,
- 11:59Speaker 5: And if he goes to Kansas, that's exactly what Bill
- 12:02Speaker 5: self did. Bill self went Oklahoma State to Illinois to Kansas.
- 12:06Speaker 5: So I mean there's obviously that connection there. So a
- 12:08Speaker 5: lot of people are trying to connect him. If self,
- 12:10Speaker 5: you know, don't step down because now he's saying you
- 12:13Speaker 5: may not be and it's a bad info.
- 12:15Speaker 6: So he's been like that. I feel like Bill Sale
- 12:18Speaker 6: has been like that for like five.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Years really since he won that Natty.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Like gonna retire, gonna step away, and then in the
- 12:26Speaker 4: eleventh hour, He's like, I'm just kidding.
- 12:28Speaker 6: I'll be back.
- 12:29Speaker 7: The president for high Point is the fourth highest paid
- 12:33Speaker 7: college president in the United States. He gets paid two
- 12:35Speaker 7: point nine million dollars a year.
- 12:39Speaker 2: In two Yeah.
- 12:40Speaker 7: In twenty twelve, Business Week reported that about seven hundred
- 12:43Speaker 7: million dollars in new building in campus upgrades was financed
- 12:47Speaker 7: by heavy borrowing and Moody's Investors Service. So it's just
- 12:54Speaker 7: borrowing money out here.
- 12:55Speaker 6: This does not feel legit.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Is this a face school? He's uf front for something.
- 13:04Speaker 7: That the school spends large amounts of on marketing with
- 13:07Speaker 7: a public relations firm that is headed by the president's daughter.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:12Speaker 7: I feel like I'm uncovering something about high Point right now.
- 13:18Speaker 6: Do we need to do an investigation?
- 13:21Speaker 7: So the president is the third highest donor of the
- 13:24Speaker 7: university too. He committed ten million dollars to high Point.
- 13:28Speaker 5: He's making four million.
- 13:31Speaker 6: Back to him.
- 13:32Speaker 5: It's not a way to make money.
- 13:34Speaker 6: Yeah, something about.
- 13:35Speaker 7: How so Ashley Furniture Industries chairman Ron Wennick donated ten
- 13:41Speaker 7: million dollars to high Point.
- 13:46Speaker 6: Yeah, we got okay, we got to do some digging
- 13:49Speaker 6: into this.
- 13:50Speaker 7: I'm digging right now.
- 13:51Speaker 6: Something feels off about it, going down a rabbit hole.
- 13:54Speaker 5: Mid segment looks like they're biggest donor last year was
- 14:00Speaker 5: Doug Witchter.
- 14:02Speaker 6: Oh, Doug.
- 14:02Speaker 5: He donated twenty million dollars. Last year Blue Ridge Companies,
- 14:08Speaker 5: which is like apartment buildings like all across North Carolina.
- 14:12Speaker 5: The husband and wife donated three million. I'm not seeing
- 14:16Speaker 5: anybody like insane though.
- 14:19Speaker 7: All right, this seems like the you know how, like
- 14:23Speaker 7: the government's just all trying to make deals with each
- 14:25Speaker 7: other to make their own money back. Yep, this is
- 14:27Speaker 7: what high Point feels like.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Yeah, we got hey, We're on to you, high Point.
- 14:31Speaker 4: We got you, We see you, we see that arena,
- 14:34Speaker 4: we know how you got there.
- 14:35Speaker 7: This feels like, hey, you put your daughter in charge
- 14:39Speaker 7: of this. It's gonna be super highly paid and we're
- 14:42Speaker 7: gonna pay you a bunch of money too, and y'all
- 14:44Speaker 7: just like do what y'all want with that money. This
- 14:46Speaker 7: is weird. All right, I'm onto you high Point.
- 14:49Speaker 6: Yeah, we got you. Don't worry. Launder's in the case.
- 14:51Speaker 6: All right, We'll take a break more OTB when we
- 14:53Speaker 6: come back here live from the Raisin King studio. Off

- 15:16Speaker 4: You don't have to go searching for them. There's six
- 15:18Speaker 4: hundred plus five star reviews. They want you to know

- 16:20Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU Football twenty four to seven. You're
- 16:23Speaker 1: listening to Off the Bench.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Live a Simple Life in quite Down.
- 16:36Speaker 4: All right, Welcome back again, ot B here live from
- 16:40Speaker 4: the Raisin Caine Studio. Jake landra Tte here with you.
- 16:50Speaker 6: Obviously the news.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Well, I say, like multiple news pieces, certainly baundteries, but
- 16:59Speaker 4: uh probably the biggest one obviously being the Will Wade situation.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Him Now coming back to LSU. You've got baseball this
- 17:07Speaker 4: weekend against Kentucky. You've got Kim Moulky and squad getting
- 17:10Speaker 4: ready for a Sweet sixteen matchup.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Against the Duke Blue Devils.
- 17:15Speaker 4: J Clark and gymnastics continuing to try to bring another
- 17:18Speaker 4: national championship on that run right now. And so look
- 17:23Speaker 4: the athletic department with Kim Malki, Jay Johnson, Lane Kiffin,
- 17:26Speaker 4: J Clark, Will Wade. I got, like, what market size.
- 17:30Speaker 4: We're in the seventies, if I'm not mistaken, I.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Think it's seventy eight, seventy nine.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Good luck finding a market anywhere in our range that
- 17:39Speaker 4: has as much going on as the Baton Rouge sports market.
- 17:43Speaker 7: I really, I don't even think in large markets there's
- 17:46Speaker 7: as much going on as there is in Baton Rouge
- 17:48Speaker 7: right now, Like you went from Brian Kelly getting absolutely
- 17:54Speaker 7: embarrassed showing his ass versus Texas A and M. It
- 17:59Speaker 7: all happens so fast, so he got fired. Jeff Landry
- 18:04Speaker 7: opens his big mouth and then is like Scott Wolver's
- 18:07Speaker 7: not making the higher and like I think even like
- 18:10Speaker 7: Jeff would say, like, oh, I kind of like messed
- 18:12Speaker 7: that one up because I feel like he's kind of
- 18:15Speaker 7: reined it in. He's definitely working behind the scenes, but
- 18:18Speaker 7: like publicly, I feel like he's kind of reined it in.
- 18:20Speaker 7: I mean he did say he tweeted quote tweeted Will's
- 18:23Speaker 7: tweet yesterday and he said where there's a Will, there's
- 18:25Speaker 7: a weed. And I'm like, bro, I mean regardless, I
- 18:34Speaker 7: think he's like definitely self aware and like kind of
- 18:36Speaker 7: pulled it in, But so he gets fired, Scott Woodward
- 18:41Speaker 7: gets fired. You higher way, Ruth Verge becomes the A
- 18:46Speaker 7: D and like everything just kind of started like dominoing
- 18:50Speaker 7: after that. And then I think it started with like
- 18:55Speaker 7: Texas A and M though that Texas A and M
- 18:57Speaker 7: game set it all.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Off, and then you don't allow that to happen in
- 19:01Speaker 4: that stadium and then live to.
- 19:02Speaker 7: Tell about it, and Jeff's like, no, we're gonna get
- 19:06Speaker 7: that was like one of his biggest things with Scott Woodward.
- 19:09Speaker 7: I don't think that's a secret either, Like he wanted
- 19:13Speaker 7: will Wade here, Lee Mallett wanted will Wade here, so
- 19:17Speaker 7: they made it happen.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Just think about the timeline you think of you're trying
- 19:21Speaker 4: to explain to somebody, the timeline of how everything went down,
- 19:25Speaker 4: what it's been like since that Texas A and M game.
- 19:29Speaker 5: It's been pretty pooring if you ask.
- 19:30Speaker 4: And making a move, and then hiring a president and
- 19:33Speaker 4: elevating an athletic director and then just all the things
- 19:36Speaker 4: that have gone on and going to find a head coach,
- 19:40Speaker 4: going to find a staff and transfer portal and all
- 19:44Speaker 4: the things, just all the things going on with als
- 19:47Speaker 4: your athletics over the last couple of months.
- 19:50Speaker 5: By the way, Matt Ruge is the ninety fifth market.
- 19:52Speaker 6: Nine, we were like seventy eighty two.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Well, okay, so it's even more impressive then, Like, is
- 20:00Speaker 5: anybody in like okay, USC anybody know? I mean their
- 20:06Speaker 5: coaches aren't any more high profile, not even close.
- 20:08Speaker 6: Yeah, And what.
- 20:10Speaker 5: That's two.
- 20:12Speaker 6: Probably, but there's also two.
- 20:13Speaker 5: Colleges there's USC and UCLA, but still.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Yeah, that Sean Foster did let us know there's also
- 20:19Speaker 4: UCLA were the other school in Los Angeles.
- 20:23Speaker 5: You know, I saw a lot of people yesterday being like, oh,
- 20:26Speaker 5: you know, when's the last time a coach has been
- 20:29Speaker 5: fired and rehired by the same program, And I wanted
- 20:31Speaker 5: to do some digging. Chris Alt was fired three times
- 20:37Speaker 5: as Nevada head football coach. He had three different stints.
- 20:41Speaker 6: I was going to go Billy Martin and the Yankees.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Yeah, Billy Martin and they lobby.
- 20:45Speaker 6: From Srino at Arkansas.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Although he wasn't like hired to be the head coach,
- 20:50Speaker 4: he was hired to be the coordinator, then got elevated
- 20:52Speaker 4: to interim coach, right.
- 20:53Speaker 5: And then he left the Louisville and came back.
- 20:55Speaker 6: But he wasn't fired.
- 20:56Speaker 5: But but he would have fired that time, right because
- 20:58Speaker 5: he went Louisville Falcons back to Oh. I mean, it's
- 21:01Speaker 5: up a lot in the NFL. Art Chill with the
- 21:03Speaker 5: Raiders helped John Gruden with the Raiders. Raiders he got traded, right,
- 21:07Speaker 5: I mean, that's that's kind of half fired.
- 21:10Speaker 2: But no.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Chris Alt was from seventy six to ninety two at Nevada, fired,
- 21:15Speaker 5: went back for two years ninety four to ninety five,
- 21:18Speaker 5: fired in two thousand and four to twenty twelve. And
- 21:21Speaker 5: then the only other time I found a guy named
- 21:23Speaker 5: Don Fambroau in the mid seventies of Kansas as the
- 21:27Speaker 5: head football coach. That's the only time I could find collegiately.
- 21:30Speaker 5: It was a lot professional. Yeah, I mean what Steinbrenner
- 21:32Speaker 5: fired Billy Martin five times?
- 21:34Speaker 4: Yeah, And that's the one that everybody kind of goes
- 21:37Speaker 4: to the thing that makes like, you know, Will Wade
- 21:40Speaker 4: getting let go at LSU.
- 21:45Speaker 6: Was nobody wanted it to happen.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Yeah, even with the circumstances surrounding it, nobody wanted it
- 21:50Speaker 4: to happen, right, I mean fans were calling for him
- 21:55Speaker 4: to be back, like since the day that he was
- 21:58Speaker 4: let go.
- 21:59Speaker 6: Soon does it happen?
- 22:01Speaker 4: Nobody was happy and the administration it panicked and it
- 22:05Speaker 4: made a move. They thought football was gonna get touched,
- 22:07Speaker 4: and so they just went ahead.
- 22:08Speaker 6: They did that. That's the difference here.
- 22:11Speaker 4: It's not like there's not a situation where you know,
- 22:14Speaker 4: fans are like, man, we got to move on, and
- 22:16Speaker 4: then the guy does something else somewhere else and it's like, okay,
- 22:19Speaker 4: well he's good enough to come back. Now it's like no,
- 22:20Speaker 4: Like the entire time, people are like, no, we won't.
- 22:23Speaker 4: We'll wait, Like that's the guy that needs to lead
- 22:25Speaker 4: this program. And look, I get it because of what
- 22:29Speaker 4: he did on the court, right, I mean, you got
- 22:32Speaker 4: eighteen wins, twenty five wins, twenty one wins, nineteen wins,
- 22:35Speaker 4: twenty two wins, and you just haven't been close to
- 22:38Speaker 4: that since. But it was also like we talk about
- 22:40Speaker 4: often and maybe if you're not from here, maybe if
- 22:43Speaker 4: you've never been around, like you don't understand it. But
- 22:45Speaker 4: it takes a certain personality to be successful here. Yeah,
- 22:48Speaker 4: it just does. Like it's hard to explain, but you've
- 22:52Speaker 4: got to have it or you won't win games here.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Like now that's not saying that it's, you know, only
- 22:57Speaker 4: one singular personality, because some of these personalities would never
- 23:01Speaker 4: be confused for the same one.
- 23:02Speaker 6: But they've all got something.
- 23:05Speaker 4: That can make them be successful at LSU, like you
- 23:08Speaker 4: have to in nice Guys finished last year sometimes too,
- 23:13Speaker 4: just the way it kind of is, and like when
- 23:15Speaker 4: you look like we don't have to explain this, but
- 23:18Speaker 4: when you look at Kim Monkey, we know what her
- 23:20Speaker 4: personality is all about. When you look at j Clark
- 23:24Speaker 4: even like and we talked with him and hearing kind
- 23:28Speaker 4: of the way his process is. And he's not afraid
- 23:31Speaker 4: to talk crap about Florida here on air, right, you
- 23:33Speaker 4: know when he joins us, Yeah, we know Will's personality.
- 23:37Speaker 6: You know Lane Kiffn's personality.
- 23:39Speaker 4: And for the people that don't know, like Jay Johnson
- 23:43Speaker 4: has got so much coach Saban and that's just like
- 23:45Speaker 4: that's the guy that he looks at. You always hear
- 23:48Speaker 4: Jay Johnson talking about football and mentality, like he studied
- 23:51Speaker 4: Nick Saban.
- 23:51Speaker 6: In his mentality.
- 23:52Speaker 4: He talks about him a lot often. Yeah, Like Jay
- 23:54Speaker 4: is a killer behind the scenes. So again, some places
- 24:00Speaker 4: look for the nice guy. Some places look for the
- 24:03Speaker 4: buttoned up guy. Like that's what you thought you were
- 24:05Speaker 4: getting in football. You thought, okay getting in Look even me, like,
- 24:09Speaker 4: I'm like, man, okay, well maybe this is the direction
- 24:12Speaker 4: you go because it's been a little bit different, you
- 24:14Speaker 4: know with coach Miles and coach Oh. Doesn't work here
- 24:17Speaker 4: just does not does not where it is not highly
- 24:20Speaker 4: successful here. There's a certain personality, there's a certain person
- 24:24Speaker 4: it takes to be able to come in here be successful,
- 24:26Speaker 4: and the ones that don't have it, they get exposed
- 24:30Speaker 4: pretty quick.
- 24:31Speaker 7: We got to have that dog in you last time.
- 24:33Speaker 7: Just different.
- 24:35Speaker 5: Look at the basketball coaches that have been successful here.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Dale Brown was fiery. I mean you see clips of
- 24:40Speaker 5: Dale Brown with John Brady.
- 24:43Speaker 7: He's super calm. Be he actually got calmer in his
- 24:47Speaker 7: old age, and oh he's the best.
- 24:51Speaker 5: Trent Johnson, very laid back, very buttoned up guy, had
- 24:54Speaker 5: a little bit of success early on, fell off. Johnny
- 24:57Speaker 5: Jones not fiery at all, never really had success here.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Matt McMahon not fiery at all. Everybody liked him, but
- 25:04Speaker 5: he wasn't winning enough games. Not fiery, I mean to
- 25:06Speaker 5: your point, like, yeah, there's there's a there's a type
- 25:09Speaker 5: that works here and a type that doesn't. And I mean,
- 25:11Speaker 5: Wade's it.
- 25:14Speaker 7: I know, hindsight's twenty twenty, but it kind of feels
- 25:18Speaker 7: it kind of feels like it was always gonna happen,
- 25:21Speaker 7: you know, like.
- 25:22Speaker 4: It is wild that it never felt like the door
- 25:25Speaker 4: was truly closed.
- 25:26Speaker 7: No, I never thought it was.
- 25:28Speaker 6: Like it probably should have felt like it was, yeah,
- 25:30Speaker 6: but it never did.
- 25:31Speaker 7: I mean, you went down the street after you left
- 25:33Speaker 7: here and had options. Yeah, you went down the street
- 25:38Speaker 7: and then I don't know it again, hindsight is twenty twenty.
- 25:42Speaker 7: I'm like, nobody can say, like, oh, we knew this
- 25:44Speaker 7: was always but it feels like it was always inevitable.
- 25:48Speaker 5: It's weird. It's even weirder to think about. Like you
- 25:50Speaker 5: were talking about, Okay, you know, Scott wood Word fired
- 25:53Speaker 5: this guy. That's you know, one of the reasons he's
- 25:55Speaker 5: no longer the athletic director. Think about it even further
- 25:58Speaker 5: back than that, though. I understand man he had multiple
- 26:00Speaker 5: missteps as athletic director, but a big knuckle Joel Leba
- 26:03Speaker 5: was how he handled the suspension of a Will Wade.
- 26:06Speaker 5: You move on from him, bringing a new guy. That
- 26:08Speaker 5: guy ultimately fires the same coach you were trying to protect.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Then you move on from him, hoping it works this time,
- 26:15Speaker 5: like the wad Lsu romance, goes back a lot further
- 26:19Speaker 5: than just Scott Woodward. I mean, you've you've stuck your
- 26:21Speaker 5: neck out for this guy time and time again, and
- 26:23Speaker 5: it's it's paid all for you.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Yeah and again the entire time the fans have been
- 26:27Speaker 4: behind Will Wade. YEP, I think that's what makes a
- 26:30Speaker 4: situation unique compared to some of the others. He had
- 26:33Speaker 4: the full support of the fan base, like even when
- 26:35Speaker 4: times like that were going on. So it's pretty fascinating
- 26:40Speaker 4: how it all played out.
- 26:41Speaker 7: I cannot wait for the thirty for thirty. I will
- 26:45Speaker 7: make the thirty.
- 26:45Speaker 6: There ne to be a thirty for thirty just for
- 26:47Speaker 6: like the last couple of months.
- 26:49Speaker 7: No exactly, that's what I'm saying, Like, not the will wait.
- 26:52Speaker 7: I'm talking about like an LSU thirty for thirty for.
- 26:54Speaker 4: This year, and make no mistake about it, Like with
- 26:59Speaker 4: each move this been made, you've been closer and closer
- 27:02Speaker 4: to being like the ultimate villain.
- 27:03Speaker 7: I feels, which like literally just collecting gems or ses
- 27:08Speaker 7: or Infinity stones. I know, my give me Patty Gasso.
- 27:13Speaker 5: I know my God, Flannel disagree me, Patty. I love
- 27:16Speaker 5: being the villain. I think it's great if.
- 27:18Speaker 6: You're I don't know why Matt doesn't buy into that.
- 27:20Speaker 5: Well, because about like we haven't won anything yet. I
- 27:23Speaker 5: understand that. But if you're making like they're irrelevant to
- 27:27Speaker 5: everyone else, no one cares.
- 27:28Speaker 6: But Kim and Jay have one, I mean, won national champions.
- 27:32Speaker 5: Even if you want to take them out and just
- 27:33Speaker 5: look at Kiffin and will Wade. If people didn't feel
- 27:36Speaker 5: threatened and didn't think, oh, there's a chance that works
- 27:39Speaker 5: and works a big time, they're not gonna care. They're
- 27:41Speaker 5: not gonna dislike you because you're not a threat. If
- 27:43Speaker 5: you're a threat, you could be the villain, and like, great,
- 27:45Speaker 5: I want other people to hate my program because I
- 27:47Speaker 5: win so much. That's that's the perfect place to be.
- 27:51Speaker 6: It's the best place to be.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Like, why does anybody care if any other fan base
- 27:56Speaker 4: likes your school?
- 27:58Speaker 6: I don't think they should.
- 27:59Speaker 7: No, yeah, I don't care.
- 28:00Speaker 6: Now that's not saying like you play dirty? Are you
- 28:02Speaker 6: doing these?
- 28:03Speaker 4: But no, you just don't like us because we're good
- 28:07Speaker 4: and you don't like us because if there's something that
- 28:10Speaker 4: verge Osbury's wonted in the last couple of months, he's
- 28:13Speaker 4: gone and got if that's the reason you don't like me, right,
- 28:18Speaker 4: oh good, I am perfectly okay with that. I just
- 28:20Speaker 4: do not care what other fan bases think about LSG,
- 28:24Speaker 4: Like why why would you?
- 28:25Speaker 6: Why should you?
- 28:25Speaker 7: I think Matt's argument was that like he wants to
- 28:28Speaker 7: be respected and for like recruiting purposes, but also like
- 28:34Speaker 7: if you're a recruit or like somebody, like a prospect
- 28:37Speaker 7: or whatever, and you're like, now I don't want to
- 28:38Speaker 7: go to LSU. They're slimmy over there. Then good, we
- 28:40Speaker 7: don't want like that's soft to get out of here.
- 28:42Speaker 7: I'm okay with not having recruits that don't want to
- 28:45Speaker 7: be here. Yeah, so I think that's what Matt had
- 28:49Speaker 7: mentioned before.
- 28:50Speaker 4: But I for me that it's got somebody that's about
- 28:52Speaker 4: to come up on the recruiting age. Yeah, I'm intrigued
- 28:55Speaker 4: by a school it's willing to do whatever.
- 28:57Speaker 6: It takes to win to win football, right, if.
- 28:59Speaker 7: You're to be right, do you like losers say that
- 29:01Speaker 7: if you're.
- 29:02Speaker 5: Recruit, you want two things in college. You want exposure.
- 29:05Speaker 5: You want to win. Unless she was getting a hell
- 29:07Speaker 5: of a lot of exposure right now. If Kiffin and
- 29:09Speaker 5: Wade continue to win, that's there too. I don't think
- 29:11Speaker 5: recruits are gonna care about that.
- 29:12Speaker 6: Yeah, no, and they shouldn't.
- 29:16Speaker 4: You're gonna give them the platform to be highly successful,
- 29:19Speaker 4: and you're gonna give them every resource possible to win games.
- 29:23Speaker 4: So individually and collectively, you're giving them what you're looking for,
- 29:27Speaker 4: at least what you should be looking for. M h.
- 29:34Speaker 7: Anyways, Patty hit me up. That would be like, that's
- 29:42Speaker 7: the last stone we need. That's the last stone, how
- 29:47Speaker 7: do you guts?
- 29:47Speaker 6: So that's good, all right, we will step away.
- 29:52Speaker 4: You can go ahead and start getting some of those
- 29:53Speaker 4: ask the bench questions inside to buy you for chat
- 29:56Speaker 4: and I don't think it's called that anymore, but shout
- 29:58Speaker 4: out to buy you for buy you automotive were to
- 30:00Speaker 4: get them all the love they can because you know what,
- 30:01Speaker 4: they made me cool again with my kids, so I
- 30:03Speaker 4: don't really care.
- 30:05Speaker 6: Hopefully we can catch up with Flynn.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Probably not got a lot of sleep in his eyes
- 30:08Speaker 4: if I was sug guessed, But we'll try, and we'll
- 30:10Speaker 4: also get to your questions. We'll ask the bench inside
- 30:14Speaker 4: the chat. There more OTB when we come back here
- 30:17Speaker 4: live from the Raisin King Studio.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Trash Rangers they come out to the house today. Actually
- 30:23Speaker 4: they just called and I was like, hold up, man,
- 30:24Speaker 4: y'all know them on radio.
- 30:26Speaker 6: They're trying to deliver the roll off dumpster right now.
- 30:28Speaker 4: They're actually just called and so I'm getting that fifteen
- 30:31Speaker 4: yard roll off dumpster, and we got some things that
- 30:34Speaker 4: we can't just put to the street.
- 30:35Speaker 6: We can't just.
- 30:36Speaker 4: Throw away in a normal trash can obviously, So they're
- 30:39Speaker 4: going to deliver the dumpster, We're gonna fill the dumpster up,
- 30:42Speaker 4: and then they're going to come pick up the dumpster.
- 30:44Speaker 6: An incredibly easy process as well.
- 30:46Speaker 4: I mean it was very All I did was one
- 30:49Speaker 4: quick call, got it booked, ready to go, go to
- 30:51Speaker 4: be there today, and then they pick it up whenever
- 30:54Speaker 4: you need it picked up.
- 30:55Speaker 6: And so it's not just roll off dumpsters.
- 30:57Speaker 4: It's residential commercial trash pick up their sanitation department. If
- 31:01Speaker 4: you want affordable restroom, they can deliver it to your
- 31:04Speaker 4: job site, to your event, whatever that might be. And

- 31:35Speaker 1: to Off the Bench Country.

- 31:41Speaker 8: to the country. I'm gonna eat a lot of peaches.
- 31:45Speaker 8: Move in to the country. I'm gonna eat a lot
- 31:49Speaker 8: of peaches.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Peaches, come camm.

- 32:41Speaker 4: the NFL changes the temperature in your living room, saves
- 32:44Speaker 4: you on energy bills as well.
- 32:46Speaker 9: Go to k t o Z Blinds dot com.
- 32:56Speaker 6: You did confirm Matt slept in. Just will cope it's
- 33:04Speaker 6: this man here, hashtag.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Asked the bench, did Jake remember to switch to all
- 33:08Speaker 4: message messages today? Yep, I did. I'll see your message.
- 33:11Speaker 4: Not think of me staying on top of it. Not
- 33:16Speaker 4: that big of a deal. Ask the bench, where would
- 33:26Speaker 4: you rank the state of Louisiana out of all states?
- 33:29Speaker 5: I mean higher than most.
- 33:31Speaker 4: Pretty pretty prideful about my home state. So probably higher
- 33:36Speaker 4: than most would.
- 33:37Speaker 6: I don't know, we all know Texas top five for sure.
- 33:46Speaker 7: I mean, that's my home. It's the same way y'll
- 33:49Speaker 7: feel about Louisiana. I Louisiana.
- 33:52Speaker 4: I like Texas out of tea Bob hated it. I
- 33:54Speaker 4: actually liked Texas. I think there's some great spots in Texas.
- 33:58Speaker 7: I mean, I've made this my home. I love it here.
- 34:01Speaker 6: I do.
- 34:02Speaker 7: I mean the thing I love most, Like I voluntarily
- 34:05Speaker 7: live here.
- 34:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean you know, if you've left and come back,
- 34:09Speaker 6: I mean same for me.
- 34:10Speaker 4: Yeah, Like it truly is like the people, the culture,
- 34:15Speaker 4: the diversity, the uniqueness of the state that I think
- 34:19Speaker 4: I love the most, and how prideful people are to
- 34:21Speaker 4: be from Louisiana. Yeah, but not in like a way
- 34:24Speaker 4: that there's some states too. They're like like, okay, like
- 34:27Speaker 4: we get it, we get where you're from. I don't know,
- 34:29Speaker 4: Like I know, there's a lot of things that we
- 34:30Speaker 4: can improve on, to say the least.
- 34:33Speaker 6: But very prideful of where we live.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Hashtag asked the bench which National media guy had the
- 34:42Speaker 4: worst take yesterday.
- 34:44Speaker 6: Says it was Seth Davis for him. I didn't see
- 34:45Speaker 6: that one nook.
- 34:48Speaker 7: I don't care.
- 34:48Speaker 5: I can imagine when it was.
- 34:50Speaker 4: I've kind of turned myself off to all that because
- 34:52Speaker 4: I just tell said anything.
- 34:54Speaker 6: Probably I just don't care.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Way, speaking of that, he was on the car in
- 35:01Speaker 5: the in the tournament game within C State. He was
- 35:03Speaker 5: sitting there glowing about Will Wade, how great of a
- 35:06Speaker 5: coach he is or whatever. I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 35:08Speaker 5: because he's not at LSU. Now all of a sudden,
- 35:09Speaker 5: you like him, get the hell out of here, dick.
- 35:12Speaker 10: A.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Pete Damil, though, is the answer to everything.
- 35:16Speaker 6: Pete Damil No you think are you thinking of the
- 35:19Speaker 6: same person. Pete's kind of like breaking news.
- 35:22Speaker 5: Yeah, Pete put out about the whole thing being messy
- 35:25Speaker 5: and all that. I'm like, he wasn't messy. The whole
- 35:27Speaker 5: process was, Oh you like pizza stuff.
- 35:31Speaker 4: I've seen that one. Cody says, dumpster being delivered. Jake's
- 35:35Speaker 4: going to barstool because that's Bob. When we knew he
- 35:41Speaker 4: was moving, nobody else did, and he was getting in
- 35:43Speaker 4: delivered to his house.
- 35:44Speaker 6: I am not going anywhere.
- 35:47Speaker 4: I have a job that I love here. I have
- 35:48Speaker 4: a job that I love over on NFL Radio that
- 35:51Speaker 4: I do for my home. I ain't going anywhere. I'm
- 35:54Speaker 4: certainly not going to Chicago. Don't you worry, not going anywhere.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Flynn would kill me if I left after getting him involved.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Hashtag asa beinch. Why hasn't t called or had or
- 36:10Speaker 4: or y'all had him on this show, the Morning Show
- 36:13Speaker 4: at the same time.
- 36:16Speaker 5: There you go, golf Seale Saudi wasn't messy? Higher family
- 36:18Speaker 5: called it a clumsy hire. There it is.
- 36:28Speaker 7: I think two people on the outside that like, don't
- 36:31Speaker 7: follow l s U. It could seem messy because of
- 36:34Speaker 7: the whole Matt McMahon factor. Like I think everybody thinks
- 36:37Speaker 7: that Matt McMahon found out that he was let go
- 36:40Speaker 7: by the will Wade Hier Like, I'm sure there were
- 36:42Speaker 7: conversations had behind the scenes that Pete Thamil doesn't know
- 36:46Speaker 7: about with Matt McMahon.
- 36:48Speaker 6: Yep. Hashtag a SA bench. Why isn't Kane co hosting
- 36:52Speaker 6: the show today?
- 36:53Speaker 7: She's having another baby?
- 36:55Speaker 6: Yeah's man will come in so the chair.
- 36:59Speaker 5: Open looks she's kind of leaning to she's tart.
- 37:01Speaker 4: Sorry, it's been a long day. Hashtag aus A bench.
- 37:04Speaker 4: What pro team do you hate the most, regardless of
- 37:06Speaker 4: sport or league?
- 37:08Speaker 6: The Philadelphia Phillies.
- 37:09Speaker 4: For me, it goes back to the early nineties. I've
- 37:13Speaker 4: said this often, but all those guys can go fly kite.
- 37:17Speaker 4: John Cruck, Lenny Dykstra, Mitch Williams, Mike Mordecai rest in peace,
- 37:23Speaker 4: Darren Dalton. But you still can go fly the kite.
- 37:27Speaker 4: That's the team for me. I hate the Phillies. I
- 37:28Speaker 4: hate everything about the Phillies. All the guys there now
- 37:31Speaker 4: can go fly kite. The Raiders probably close second, but yeah,
- 37:37Speaker 4: for me to the philadelphiage.
- 37:37Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 37:38Speaker 5: Over the years, I've never liked the Steelers. It's kind
- 37:40Speaker 5: of always been the just because growing up, my dad
- 37:42Speaker 5: told me to hate the Steelers because, like you know,
- 37:44Speaker 5: when the Cowboys dynasty was going on, the Steelers also was,
- 37:47Speaker 5: so that was kind of a even though they were
- 37:49Speaker 5: NFC and AFCU. Basketball has changed for me the Warriors
- 37:53Speaker 5: obviously somebody jumped on that damn bandwagon, but it's gott
- 37:56Speaker 5: to change for me. I guess the Steelers have been
- 37:58Speaker 5: the constant.
- 38:03Speaker 6: Uh Lanta professional team you hate the most.
- 38:08Speaker 7: I just I don't know if I have enough hate
- 38:12Speaker 7: of me to like really have a burning hate for somebody.
- 38:17Speaker 7: I don't know the Chiefs. I really don't like the Chiefs,
- 38:21Speaker 7: and I really don't like Patrick Mahomes or Travis Kelsey.
- 38:26Speaker 6: That's one that a lot of people would probably back
- 38:28Speaker 6: you up on.
- 38:28Speaker 5: See, that's what I'm saying about the Warriors too. Like
- 38:31Speaker 5: depending on which dynasty people jump on mine, mine kind
- 38:34Speaker 5: of changes a little bit.
- 38:39Speaker 4: Let's see, get to a couple more and then we'll
- 38:41Speaker 4: get to some more on the other side. Where can
- 38:43Speaker 4: I get the gold yellow hoodie?
- 38:45Speaker 6: Like Jake? This is Pancho shocked, right, it's Pancho. Where's
- 38:49Speaker 6: logos are great here, Pancho.
- 38:52Speaker 4: They have more than just pearl snaps like.
- 38:56Speaker 6: This other incredible.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Hashtag as a bench did did little Hester get his
- 39:01Speaker 4: parking pass?
- 39:02Speaker 6: Yet? He did? He's not very little, though bigger than
- 39:07Speaker 6: I am.
- 39:08Speaker 5: He's just a parketed faculty. He gets his what not
- 39:12Speaker 5: faculty parking.
- 39:14Speaker 7: Guys, I know Gordy.
- 39:15Speaker 4: It's fine, yeah right, yeah, just throw that around and guys,
- 39:18Speaker 4: I know Gordy. All right, we'll take a break. We'll
- 39:21Speaker 4: get to more of your questions when we come back.
- 39:23Speaker 4: It is OTB here live from the Raisin Knes studio.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Off the bench, all.
- 39:29Speaker 6: Right, this weekend.
- 39:30Speaker 4: You got a lot of different options including starting tonight.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Remember you got women's basketball taking on Duke in Sacramento.
- 39:36Speaker 4: It's going to be a nine pm tip. You got
- 39:39Speaker 4: LSU baseball taking on Kentucky in the box. So if
- 39:42Speaker 4: you're in the stadium grabbing all ice cold dose sekis.
- 39:45Speaker 4: But if you're not, kick your feet up, put a
- 39:47Speaker 4: drink in hand and enjoy a little game day.
- 39:51Speaker 6: And game day is always better with dose Sekis.
- 39:53Speaker 4: Talk about it often here, right, no matter what the sport,
- 39:56Speaker 4: no matter what the situation. If it's football in the fall,
- 39:59Speaker 4: if it's base ball in the spring, whatever it might be,
- 40:02Speaker 4: go out there, kickback and hey, look, if you've had
- 40:04Speaker 4: a long day and you're just trying.
- 40:07Speaker 6: To kick back, relax.
- 40:10Speaker 4: A little Wusaw moment if you will, before you go
- 40:13Speaker 4: to bed, or you've had a long baseball weekend, maybe
- 40:16Speaker 4: out there with the use and you want to kick
- 40:18Speaker 4: back and relax.
- 40:19Speaker 6: Nothing, but does it better than a nice cold dose Seki.
- 40:22Speaker 4: So it's always a great time and a good time
- 40:24Speaker 4: to go for dose DOSEI dot com obviously.
- 40:27Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves gets off the
- 40:30Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, I.
- 40:36Speaker 3: Don't practice Sancho Ria God no, Crystal Bong.
- 40:46Speaker 2: I'll spin it out, and that Sancho, that Sho's fine,
- 40:52Speaker 2: that Papa Captain Sancho and slap it. What I really.
- 41:05Speaker 4: Want to say, I can fine, all right, Welcome back

- 42:04Speaker 6: I can't hate on him. He's shoot guys as events.
- 42:11Speaker 6: Who's your favorite?
- 42:11Speaker 4: Matt Flynn Moscona Musso, Damon, Mitchell Flynn.
- 42:18Speaker 7: I feel like I have to say Flynn. But I'm
- 42:21Speaker 7: gonna go Joey off of Friends Law all right, Damon,
- 42:28Speaker 7: but I have to say.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Wow, I'm the only one I said Flynn. That's a
- 42:37Speaker 4: surprise of the day that I said Flynn.
- 42:40Speaker 7: That's an obligatory Flynn.
- 42:51Speaker 6: This one's for you. Landra as Bench. She thinks single
- 42:53Speaker 6: man listened to you being intimidated by Alandra.
- 42:58Speaker 11: I don't think I'm intimidating, so no, I don't know,
- 43:06Speaker 11: uh hashsec ask the bench.
- 43:08Speaker 6: Best family friendly Mexican restaurant in Baton.
- 43:11Speaker 5: Rouge or they're non.
- 43:13Speaker 4: I think all the restaurants here do a really nice
- 43:16Speaker 4: job of having like a situation for the family in
- 43:21Speaker 4: a back room, be it a patio, be it a
- 43:23Speaker 4: play area. There's like some really good Mexican spots in
- 43:26Speaker 4: Baton Rouge, and I think they all do a really
- 43:28Speaker 4: nice job of being accommodating for family.
- 43:30Speaker 7: I'm trying to think of something different from Superior.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Me.
- 43:33Speaker 5: Padres is good. Do you like me? Padres a little
- 43:36Speaker 5: bit different than Superior.
- 43:38Speaker 7: I really like lo Coretta. I know that I like
- 43:40Speaker 7: people are like what, but I really.
- 43:42Speaker 4: Like that place Loretta and Hammon level right about the
- 43:46Speaker 4: trade tracks.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the best one.
- 43:50Speaker 6: Good vibe there too. That's when you know you're like baseball.
- 43:58Speaker 7: Yeah, kind of super casual and only outdoor seating. But
- 44:02Speaker 7: I like Barracuda.
- 44:04Speaker 5: I still still haven't been.
- 44:06Speaker 4: Somehow Brandon Lander's got the new spot out in saying Gabriel,
- 44:09Speaker 4: I can't wait to try that.
- 44:10Speaker 2: I heard it.
- 44:10Speaker 6: It's like right by my house.
- 44:12Speaker 4: Yeah, they got a little cover patio area too. Hash
- 44:18Speaker 4: Tag assa bench. How quickly does will Wade get us
- 44:20Speaker 4: back in the n c DOAA Tournament two?
- 44:22Speaker 7: Uh if I'm going off of the first three?
- 44:26Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, I have so many questions.
- 44:37Speaker 7: Tell me there because we never do it, so they're
- 44:39Speaker 7: trying to get their questions.
- 44:40Speaker 6: I know. Hashtag as a bench.
- 44:42Speaker 4: Who has a better season next year LSU football or
- 44:45Speaker 4: baseball based off SEC standards?
- 44:49Speaker 6: That's tough, guys. Jay's won two national championships.
- 44:53Speaker 7: Yeah, and he's already here, like he's already established Lane's
- 44:58Speaker 7: first year. So I'm gonna just say baseball is just
- 45:01Speaker 7: based off of.
- 45:02Speaker 5: That, right, Like you almost have to grade football on
- 45:04Speaker 5: a curve. Yeah, so it's it's not like a one.
- 45:06Speaker 7: I don't think that's a fair comparison. Like now, if
- 45:09Speaker 7: you ask me Will Wade or Lane Kiffin, that's a
- 45:13Speaker 7: better comparison. I think or.
- 45:15Speaker 5: Jay and Mulky.
- 45:16Speaker 4: But something like that, Uh, Elandra, do you hang out
- 45:21Speaker 4: at Radio Bar occasionally?
- 45:23Speaker 6: She dabbles, I dabble.
- 45:25Speaker 7: I mean it's probably like my favorite place to go,
- 45:26Speaker 7: but I don't really go out anyway, but y'all hang there.
- 45:32Speaker 5: I like the rock bot like Vicheo music.
- 45:34Speaker 4: Yeah, sure it could be your one for Will, no doubt,
- 45:38Speaker 4: depending on who gets in the transfer portal which opens
- 45:40Speaker 4: up in let's the eleven days.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Yep.
- 45:49Speaker 6: Jay does really do well in odd years.
- 45:51Speaker 7: Yeah, I know it's like one year or not.
- 45:53Speaker 5: Yeah, football does too, has to the bench.
- 45:56Speaker 6: What's the worst color for a T shirt? I think
- 45:58Speaker 6: it's great, Like I would say great.
- 46:01Speaker 5: I mean, gray is a good I like.
- 46:02Speaker 6: A gray shirt, White's tuck.
- 46:04Speaker 7: I don't know, pink, I'm not wearing a pink shirt.
- 46:07Speaker 5: White because always spill crapple my shirt.
- 46:09Speaker 4: That's that color balance doesn't look great on TV. Nobody's
- 46:14Speaker 4: very flattering and white blacks more swimming.
- 46:17Speaker 6: I love you, We'll see you Monday. Bench By we,
- 46:21Speaker 6: I mean Flynn, He'll be back all right.
