- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: We're in the 30s, all right?
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: Which, yeah, look, we're just gonna sometimes,
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: You just got to take your medicine.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: You might not like the way it tastes, but hopefully it does its job.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: And things get better, that's what you're hoping for.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: So we have not won, but two guys today on the roster count down, we're doing these in five player segments.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: We got two players that are just going to kind of, I don't know, maybe leave bad taste in your mouth for a while, but it's kind of what it is.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now, have you said that one of the premier rookies, but that everybody loves.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: We've got some great role players in this segment today as well, but
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: same much in between some just kind of, yeah, it's just kind of the way it goes.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's sometimes just got to do these things.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's got to your vegetables, sometimes.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: And that hopefully that is what comes across day.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: This is episode 1,669 shout out to Zach bin and Josh for helping with this entire series.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and as of this recording, the 49ers were 72 days away.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: from the regular season kickoff game out in Australia, 72 days, Jeff Stover days.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to all the old hats out there, two Super Bowl wins, 30 plus Saxon this career, just beast defensive end off the left side, just stud stud stud stud well before my time, but something that I am fighting
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: very very difficult to learn the guys that came before my time.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be the faithful and the best fan base ever.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully we take a small part of that.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: Want to say take it all the hashtag CCs, the countdown crew coming in strong.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Monkey was first today, Routy, second, RTP, third, appreciate you guys and everybody.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: Whether you are first, second, third, whenever, even if you show up late.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: Um, that that's what it's yeah RTP get well soon.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: That that's what we're hoping for.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: These guys gonna get better.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, get there.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like the picture.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I shouldn't have done.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: They can't like, hey, get on to the tree there for the thumbnail.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's what it is.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there are turns.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: I just think there's a couple guys that just 49ers really need to show up.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: haven't showed up well in the past and they got to go somewhere on this countdown and the process that we use for this is, you know, we ranked one through 91, we have four separate lists, we average them together.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: They got to land somewhere.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now, we're starting off with a much happier
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: player that we should be side about, new player, size, versatility, experience.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers signed this player off of a huge deal from the Packers, didn't live up to it, had some minor injuries.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: They were really unhappy.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: They cut him one year into a multi year big time contract, 49ers scoop in and get pennies on the dollar.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: jack of all trades Swiss army knife defensive back it could play all five defensive back positions and you know his been a slot corner base six foot one ninety five could play safety could play big nickel could play outside could play you know regular nickel dime package Nate Hobbs
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: can kind of do it all, and has throughout his career.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: Played college football, Illinois, back before everybody changed.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, college is what's twice three times.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's wearing jersey number 22.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's only 26 years old.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: Not long in the tooth by any stretch whenever you just look at, you know, it's going into a six season, but he's 26, we just drafted 25-year-old rookies.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: Plural.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of interesting because he's played six years in the NFL, Nate Hobbes has.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: But he's 26 years old.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's still got a lot of football left on him.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: He's born a race in Louisville, Kentucky went to Louisville, Mel High School.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: Now, interesting story.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: His mother was a therapist.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: And so like I was really, really curious to kind of went down a little bit of a rabbit hole and YouTube videos and read some articles.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: Really, really cool.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbs, mom's a therapist, right?
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm like, dude, that's very, very unique.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I found lots of times where Nate Hobb shared very personal, you know, talks about anxiety, puts a lot of that stuff out there.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: His father passed away at a young age.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: He talked about how that, you know, is problematic and channeling through all those things, plus the pressure is a plane in the NFL and living up like it's pretty cool to have somebody with the emotional awareness.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought it was unique.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Something that's not talked about a lot.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: So Shadow Tonight Hobbes and his mom tried to put a lot of stuff out there.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: Growing up, Day Hobbes participated in track and field.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: Huge long jump high jump guy.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: Amazing.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: Like he is explosive lower body cat like tape.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: It shows when he pounces he pounces.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: was the 15th player coming out of Kentucky was a three star recruit committed to Illinois, drafted in the fifth round by the Raiders and man, that fifth round is to say 49er centric.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: This is way back in 2021.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's where we're at now entering six seasons.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: That fifth round, it's like all 49ers.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: They leave.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers drafted three players in that round, but then they've added way more.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: Jalen, more they drafted, Diamond Dore, the Nora, Tologno, who fun goes, you know, moved on now.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: But Luke Feral was also in that fifth round.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: Garrett Walu in that fifth round.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: Derek Forrest in that fifth round.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: Jason Pinnock in that fifth round and A Hobbs.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like over a third,
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: of that fifth round from 2021, it's all 49ers players, past present future, like, it's, I don't know.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: Probably no interest, anybody else by myself, but I'm going through it.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking through the fifth round.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going through the old draft, you whatever, and I'm just like, oh, no way, uh, the what and another one.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was just like bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: draft choice in the fifth round for the Raiders, but, you know, everybody's better after they leave the Raiders.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody's at their best with the Raiders.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we've been able to say that for decades, just such a poorly run franchise.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe things will turn around eventually, but I don't know.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: With the Davis's in charge, I just, I have a hard time seeing it.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbs comes out good start to his career and he lands a four year 48 million dollar deal with the packers.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: They paid big time to bring him in.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't live up to the deal.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: It had some mighty nagging injuries, played in the lotty games.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: Was it the best fit?
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: There was some, you know, just locker room stuff.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: They cut them one year into the deal.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: Just swallowed all the dead money and moved on.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers jumping low risk.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: They got him pennies on the dollar.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: The 49er signed him one year three and a half million dollar bill.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: He just had a three year 12 million dollar per year deal 40 hours get him for 3.5 million one year come prove it Rebuild your career go side somewhere else for big money or stick around there's options there $3.1 million guarantee the 40 hours get it like he is making this roster.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think the biggest
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to say that because you jump into the debo and you know some of the stuff usually on these one year deals I think the biggest I've ever seen them walk away from was Nate's subfield, which is right at two million and he got waved and picked up so the four of ours weren't even on the hook for that.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: 3.1 million, I just don't see the Niners walking away from it.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: So we're kind of in the territory now, number 38 on this list where everybody's kind of locked in.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: From here on up, I fully expect every one of these to make to 53, unless there's an injury that you put on NFI, pup, whatever else.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: But as far as like cut wave from the 53, I don't think so.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't see it.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Nate Hobbs did get a DUI back in 2022, found a sleep at this car.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, want to include that.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that kind of plays a role into this, but whenever you see what Nate Hobbs is done on the field, it's played in 62 games, 43 starts, 308 combined tackles.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's a physical corner that can play everywhere, slot,
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbs, and I think that's kind of where he's going to be.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: Might be the first corner off the bench.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: Might be the first defense of back off the bench, no matter who goes down, dude, just throw a Nate Hobbs in there.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he fights to earn a starting spot over somebody like a Ronaldo Green, if Ronaldo Green can't fix his, you know, lack of football IQ and keeps jumping all those outrounds.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know, those double moves just eat them up all the time and just make so many bad choices.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, Nate Hobbs gets in there.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: He might not be able to get them out.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't have them in the starting lineup yet.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: Would not be shocked if this dude starts 10 or more games for the four of ours this season.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: You got a corner that goes down.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's the guy.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: He steps in.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: Now, three hundred and eight tackles, 16 tackles for losses.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: Good, three sacks, 21 pass breakups, three interception.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's much more of a, make it difficult to play corner than he is, like a ball skills, interception, change the game type corner.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's a consistent physical corner that fits with the 40 hours love.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the talent.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: He's played majority in the slot, but he's played outside too.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: He could kind of do everything.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: He really, really can fun player, Nate Hobbes comes in number 38 on the roster countdown.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get back to the chat.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: Kimbro, it's Taco Tuesday.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's what's up, man.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: Every day should be Taco Day.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's my number one.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: Maria, love the title of this stream.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Not all 53 are going to be superstars.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: Just need to be sold.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: Just need to be solid.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbes, I think,
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: These are the types, Nate Hobbes, I want to just kind of signify a little bit more.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbes is the type of player that was not on the 49ers roster last season.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbs signifies even with the injuries, even if somebody just falls off a cliff, you have raised the floor of expectations at premium positions.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: This just gives the 49ers options.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're not in dire straits if one or two guys goes down.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: You're not there anymore.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: The biggest
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's the difference.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: Now hopefully the injury bug is a big difference as well.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: You're not bit by all those injuries this year, hopefully.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: But even if you are, Nate Hobbes just helps you sleep better at night because you know the Duke could step in.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know that he can't.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, cool jazz.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure I've missed pronounce that, but that is awesome.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: You are the freaking man.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: Right here, John, thanks for keeping us informed with your valuable content.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, man?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's what's up.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate you guys.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're not late.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're just on time.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Just glad to have you here.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: I love this Hobside.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: I wish it would have been a multi year deal.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: But I get it for him as he's trying to reestablish.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I could consistently be this guy.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't go there.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: I skipped over the injuries somehow on the house.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: My bad.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: Let me go back.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbs injuries ankle in 2024 missed a lot of time had knee surgery last training camp.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: He had a meniscus tear then he misses didn't miss time just in training camp but again a corner coming off you know a meniscus surgery he wasn't at his best when the season started last year then he had
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: Then in week 17 had another knee issue like he's just got to get right finish the year on IR for the Packers there's a big reason why the 40 hours got him at a one year three and a half million dollar deal.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: So what are you getting?
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: Are you getting a player that's going to be in and out of the lineup even though he's been beyond durable the majority of his career.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: But the last season and a half he's had a lot of pesky ankle, meniscus, small things is he passed that now.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: 26 years old, you don't like seeing both knees have issues, but all these have just been kind of little nagging pesky, whatever.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like torn ACLs.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like blown Achilles.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like major hamstrings.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's an ankle and a meniscus.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: Bestability, availability.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: You're paid three a half million dollars.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting it on a discount.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of like buying a used car and I I'm not trying to I hate this analogy already Not trying to be little date hobs is human.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's how I'm trying to say it all but you don't always know what you're gonna get But whatever the price is right Can't be too upset.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of like the Drake Greenlaw to you who's missed so much time throughout his entire career But the impact play that he brings you're not paying premium You're not paying brand new you're not paying you know drive it off the showroom floor.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: No
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting this on a side lot on a crazy good deal.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: Worst comes worst, Nate Hobbes, you know, plays well, goes sides elsewhere.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: You get a compensation pick a year later.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: Custard $3 million to get a corner that is a starting level corner in the NFL.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you, Kenbro.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: I loved the Hobbesiding.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's not sexy.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't get you a bunch of clicks of views and whatever else.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: But it gets the damn job done and raises the floor play of the defense of back room at multiple spots, corner, nickel, safety, special teams.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: Man, it does it all.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Nate Hobbes could take searing the old plays, not that I'm trying to
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: kick Serenil out the door as a special teams, ace guy, but if you get that play from Nate Hobbs, who is actually a cornerback, actually a defense of back where a Serenil is just a special teamer.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think the four airs get a lot to gain.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Kim bro, you're so kind of generous.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, my friend.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: He says, missed a couple live streams in the zoom hangout.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: We had a great time at the zoom hangout last night.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: Was a good time.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have another one next month.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so try to super chat every time you're alive because I would pay for this content and the community.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's so amazing to Kim bro.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: You are the freaking man.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: You're such a legend and your general Austin support.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: Can you speak?
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's, I love my job as the best job in the world.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: I do believe that some days it is harder than others to hit the record.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: But today when that day, today is pretty pumped.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: But.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: The community, Kimbro, Logan, Maria, I could go on and on in this chat.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: It makes it a lot easier, and love you guys.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: It really can't appreciate you, and I can't say it enough.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: Just can't say it enough.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are not going to Logan.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you all this quarterback room outside the top three.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: Lenore, Renardo, Green Upton, Stout is going to be a dogfighting camp.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: You'd look at the depth chart of the corner back room.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: There's nine corners.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: Dimo, Renardo Green, up to the stop, up to the stop.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: Fesians, price, up, Nate Hobbs, Dorell, Luther Jr., Jack Jones.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: Jacob Robinson, Eli Apple.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: Jack Jones is your number seven.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: That dude started so many games.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: You got seven, you're not keeping seven cornerbacks.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody keeps seven cornerbacks.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: Niners could.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: Niners could yeah, back to that subfield the reason why they walked away from Nate subfield was because Brock perty beat him out hundred percent hundred percent Howdy hops it is a pinoc of great at the very least well said pinoc was good Not great not consistent I wish the Niners would get rid of the big nickel.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like it
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: just keep up to stout out there.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't give it to him if it teams in 13 personnel.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: Up to stout tackles incredibly well.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of want to get rid of the big nickel personally.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: Just leave up to stout out there and go for three.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how that goes.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: Hobbes does a beat himself is what I love about him.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's always right where the film is good.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: The film is consistently good.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: Last year, you could tell he was nagging and never at his peak performance level.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: Packers just rely screw it three strikes are out with the injuries.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: They moved on Yeah, that's where it is right here Tommy.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: Why did we have to learn the hard way with corners 2021 storm and Norman to that season was rough I will never forget that Miami game
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: I will never the Ryan Fitzpatrick just torching our number five corner who just look like John Chapman out there dude just can't No hips can't move can't run can't do anything.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: I will always blame that game on a killer with a spoon, but that's okay.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's just me.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Rick.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, what's up man.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate your buddy Chicago in the house.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: Love it.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: Love it.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Rick goes on to say, you know, I want the nighters to make a big time trade.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: Don't hold your breath.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: Don't hold your breath.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: It should get rid of some players that are hurt all the time.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody wants those guys.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_01]: Why should they keep them?
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's my question for you.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, nobody wants players that are hurt all the time, but the price has to be right.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: You got nay hobs for $3.1 million guaranteed.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: you're getting way more than you paid for.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, there are some of these guys that are just like two, they're injured all the time.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody wants injured players.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: So like to discard those resources, somebody has to want to buy them.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody wants to buy them.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, but I feel you football NFL's 100% injury sport.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: it it's what it is.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right here, Logan, you're paying consistency and potential upside.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: Big toe before Nate Hobbes went to the Packers and got placed in the outside only.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: We knew what we were going to get with Hobbes.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: They tried to adjust them.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: They tried to do the demo approach.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbs, the demo, very similar in the way they play.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: Demo thrived on the inside.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: They tried to pay, I mean, kick them outside.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: 40 dinners did that.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: Demo was successful in that.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbs, the injuries kind of struck him down.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's what is the topic.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: Try to coach people up.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: Oh gosh, Tommy, you freaking crack me up.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: Don't put anybody in time out, please.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: Don't do that, don't do that.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are awesome.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Love you, John.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: This series made by, obviously, I love hearing that.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: The work and time.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: Ryan, trade for Jared first.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: He is untradable.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: You traded the, the Browns traded the best defense player in the NFL that get Jared verse.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Why would they turn around and trade them?
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: They have the youngest core in the NFL and they've got a solid core.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: Now they're the Browns.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to work.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, there's nothing the 49ers could give to get Jared verse.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: You can't get them like, you can't.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: You could offer Nick Bosa, which they don't want that contract.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: You could offer Miguel Williams, he's coming off in ACL.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: Why would they do that?
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's nothing you could offer.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: You could give two first round picks.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: They would not take it.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't take it.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's just what it is.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think that that is even a possibility.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: Number 37.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: This is my guy.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be the starting left guard.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: I just got to keep pounded this day until the cows come home and y'all could argue with me.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I might be wrong because it's a four horse race for that left guard spot.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: But Connor Colby comes in number 37 on the roster countdown.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: Tough, mollit experience in college.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: looked like he fit last year just not go ahead, him and Renardo Green were quite similar.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: The talent is there, just he'd have one or two plays a game where it was just throw your hat down.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like what are you doing, man?
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Starts the season seventh round rookie starting on the offensive line next to Trent Williams.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: Lot of consistent tape.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: Coupled knucklehead plays.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: He got pulled.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: Ben parts gets injured.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: Get put back in there.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: He gets pulled.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: The Burford goes in there.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of takes that spot and they eventually went with Burford for the rest of the year.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: But Connor Colby, especially in trash time.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: This is somebody that played a lot of snaps last year.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: 523 snaps last year as a rookie seventh round rookie.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: Play
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: is the talent enough to say, you know, what?
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see what happened.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: And OTAs were a huge bump for Connor Colby, Brett Toeth?
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: Guess what?
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Not out there practicing.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: I've learned to pronounce his name wrong.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm trying to fix it.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna go back to Brett Toeth occasionally.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, Texas, I'm dumb.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: Just what it is.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he has a B at the end of it.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, Connor Colby wears 275.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's 66309, Moller 23 years old, young, young.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: Iowa kid threw him through, went to Kennedy high school and see the rapids for star recruit.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: He had every big program out there offering him scholarships.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: He chose Iowa state at Iowa became a team captain.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: Iowa started games as a freshman for Kirk Farence and the outside zone scheme.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: That is unheard of.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: Dude has started.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: He had 50 starts at Iowa.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: Some of the most all time since Kirk Farence has been there.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Dude is just awesome.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: He started the mallet look.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: It actually encouraged Jennings dunker to do it if you guys were you know focused on those videos, but yeah Connor Colby's just dude just looks good man.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: He just looks good Got pulled a lot of times, but I'm telling you, especially if you go back to kind of the trash time games in the second half where he would go into close out games when games were out of hand
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you, play is ascending, play is ascending.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited about this guy.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: Even if you don't win, the left guard spot outright, which I think he will, he's going to get a chance to play.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: At some point, at one of the guard spots.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: He is awesome, drafted the seventh round, 249 overall.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: One of the last picks in the draft going into the second season.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: He played 13 games, last is an as a rookie for the nine or six
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: Give up two sacks, six quarterback hits 11 hurries.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's a better run blocker than he is a pass pro guy.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: I read.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's in the Niners best interests, best interest.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: That Connor Colby wins that starting job just holds onto it.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_01]: The idea of having Dominique Poonie and Connor Colby is your guard's look for, oh, whoo, whoo, get me excited, just rugged, tough,
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: just got to get rid of those kind of knuckle head scratch plays.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: You look at his PFF grades and they kind of reflect that.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_01]: 64.6 run blocking his above average 33.7 pass pro.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: He had some just really bad pass pro.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's what he's got to work on.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: Consistency there.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: He does that.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: Watch out, made $941,000 last year.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: And again, you start looking at just the guard depth chart, Dominique Pony, Connor Colby, Brett Tooth, Robert Jones, Carver Willis, the rookie Nixiekel.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's a fight.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: It is a fight.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: That is there.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: At that left guard spot.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I think probably go to get a lot of pay attention to and look, here's what's going to happen.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: training camp is going to start.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: Don't focus on who's getting first steps there or whatever else.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: The other way to the pads come on.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: And so the first couple practices, whatever people are going to be putting out left guard, whatever, until the practice is come on, it doesn't matter.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't matter.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: Till the pads come on and practice, it doesn't matter.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll just have to see there.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: You guys in the chat, man.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta be kidding me.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: Maria, Connor Colby, I feel like he's going to take a jump this season with the experience last year.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he had a lot, man.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: Play 500 snaps.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: Got to love that.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's right, you all.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: Howdy, Kobe got the trial by fire, Phil Good, if he's on that upward trajectory, gosh, I hope he gets there.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: Ben, who helps us out with this series.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you, John.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: Kobe's taking that job, not giving it back.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's the best thing for the 49ers to do just play it so much in this scheme.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty freaking pumped.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: I am buying
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: any which way I can any which way I can any which way I can do it is just he's a fun damn player that's all I could say now all right guys we're about to do it it's about time to take our medicine but before we do if you go to any 49ers road games you know who you got a party with
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers rush road trip is going into it's sixth year with over 40 events at road games if you are traveling to see the 49ers play this year you gotta come party with us and on top of that we give games trivia giveaways we partnered with tick pick this year all you have to do is search 49ers rush on any of the tick pick sights apps you name it and on top of all of that.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: best dressed, giveaways, autographed jerseys, kids are always included and get in for free with a ticketed adult.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of times for select cities, we will have 49ers legends come out and you get to meet and greet them and get autographed.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: Vorrow Bowman, Frank Gore, Patrick Willis, Fred Warner, are all players that we have worked with in the past and trust me.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to build the 49ers community, you're traveling by yourself, we got you covered 49ers Rushroadtrip.com.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: All right, here we go.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this player has to be on the account out somewhere.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Feral.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, tighted.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: Number 36, like where do you put Luke Feral on the countdown?
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's a starter.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: He's tightened one until Kiddled gets back.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: And even after Kiddled gets back, it's Kyle Shattahank on a play Jake Tonjus.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: And George Kiddled together.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's never done it.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's never done it.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: So, let me, let me just be honest about Luke Feral.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's not all bad.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: The bad is very bad, but it's not all bad.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: Very good run blocker when George Kittles in.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: Bad run blocker with George Kittles not in.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: Great special teamer.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: That is consistent throughout the entire Luke Feral as one of your top four special teams players.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's not a kicker.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like he was consistent, where's, I mean, where's Jersey number 89?
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: We break down all the special team's tape every single play.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Feral said A plus special teams are, he's good.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: Pass protection, which was one of his best traits at Jacksonville, where he finished out his entire rookie deal to was a hogwash man.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: A was so bad, last year Luke fair was number 26.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: He falls to 36 and it would have been a much bigger fall, but the Niners didn't bring in one Titan to kind of compete.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: I just have a very tough time for Khalil Dinkins to be a guy that can take Luke Ferrell's job.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't see it, especially early on when you need that to happen.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now, eventually, sure, and maybe Khalil Dinkins could be a tied-in next year, or if there's an entry, you can step up, that's great.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: Man, Luke Feral.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: Number 36, he got to be somewhere.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: This is where he lands.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: 65, 250, he's 28 years old.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: 49 hours paid out the Wazoo to bring him.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: It was their one biggest free agency move last year that Mac Jones, whenever you look money-wise, they paid.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: big time to get this dude over here three year 15 million dollar deal, but it's only really two years because there's a void year on it.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I will never understand why I just will never understand the player.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers have looked for that Charlie Warner replacement forever and just strike after strike after strike after strike.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: They just missing out look fairly late in it.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting some quality special teams playing he can run block.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: Camp pass block absolute liability in the receiving game.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: And places worse when kiddles out instead of elevating your play hey next guy up kiddles out.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: We need to step up this dude sucks every single time he's not next to kiddles in.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: Pass blocking, run blocking everything, play next to Jake Tonchets.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: This dude just shrinks down.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's weird.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Feral, you know, Ohio State guy went to Perry high school in Perry, Ohio, older brother, Nathan played for Ohio State as well.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: Four star recruit and smart as hell, four time all academic big 10.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: played four seasons at Jacksonville before the 49ers brought him over and for agency.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: Great special teamer.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's just got to be better.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: I remember the probably worst play ever was the Seattle came and the playoffs was already decided.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: Kittles already injured.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: He was out the week before.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_01]: Brock Party steps back and Luke Ferrell's wide freaking open just like.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: almost like a hitch route, just five yards turn around, rock party steps back, first read, goes to throw to Luke Feral pump face in like dude, I can't throw it to Stonehands, pulls the ball down, looks over to the other side of the field, Joanne Jennings, Ricky Pierce all run into each other and fall down.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just like, okay, I've got to open tight in my first read, but I can't throw it to this guy.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: I can't throw it to him.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's how bad he is.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: All right, cool.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: Let's look at our wide receivers.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: They ran into each other.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's like the damn little giants out there.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, not even postseason little giants.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking, like, first game, little giant.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and it's all because Luke fair was just not good at football.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: He could run block.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he can play special teams.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: That does not make a tight end.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: Put him next to kiddo.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go into his sixth season ran a 4-8.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: He was drafted in the fifth round of 2021.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: We already talked about that round.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's played 83 games, 24 starts.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: Scoreed his first touchdowns of his career last season, but like they were kind of a accident.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: Did they pay too much for him 100%.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's no doubt.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: And what makes it even worse is there's like a $4.6 million void year cap hit next year.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be payin' this dude.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: almost $5 million against the cap next year to not even play, which might be worth, might be better than having them out there.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: Just rough, man.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, yeah, it's just rough.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: It hurts.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's fair.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why 49ers unpopular, but necessary players.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you got to have them.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: I wish they would have brought somebody into compete with them.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: I still think that there are guys out there on the free agency market that you can sign and bring in.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's just, oh, yeah, it's bad, man.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: Chapman, I'd rather start you at Titan.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: What's up?
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: I started at Titan now.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: I got a varsity letter for that.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: I was not great.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: I was a good at anything.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: I was like,
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbes with less upside.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: I was the, I started varsity, but I went to a small school castle berry.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: I was a very good, but I was a varsity for multiple years and whoever got her, I took that job.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: I started an every single game, but
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: I was just the next best at every position.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: I was at the best at 80 positions.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I remember one year, like I played five positions in one game one time, just because people kept getting hurt.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like, all right, Chad, we'd go play that.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: Now you've got to take some snaps of quarterback, which was hilarious.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: I just switched my jersey out at the time.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: I went from O line to freaking quarterback.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: We read the pitch option, which was hilarious.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: I got two plays in coach used to tie-out, but we packed O line anyway.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Maria Farrell was sold to me like a great blocker fake news.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's good in the run game.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: You look at, he had a 71 grade run blocking for a Titan.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's great.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: He had a 46 pass blocking.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: He was brought in to be the pass blocking guy.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: So kiddo could more run more routes.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't work that way.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: Did not work that way.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: just didn't.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: Peanut Jeff, what's up, man?
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Farrell should be right next to Brindle over the corner with the doose gap on.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, hopefully they could give us a decent showing this year.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's got to be both of their last year's.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: This is it for Jake Brindle and Luke Farrell.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that they come back out.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Logan, man, I hope Tinkens beats out Farrell.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's just so hard at the tight end spot.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: I hope so.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: I hope so.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: Big toe.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for the super chat man.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: What happened?
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: Him and Sober are supposed to be decent before they got to us.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: Sober freaking went to Seattle of one of Super Bowl and contributed over there.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: He was terrible for us.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: I would take Sober
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: Over Luke Farrell.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think Sobbert was better.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, got paid a fraction of the cost.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: Sobbert was better.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: Sobbert was worse on special teams.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Farrell's way better on special teams.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: But I'd take Sobbert in the receiving game and blocking game over whatever Ryan could the 40 hours go after Michael mayor.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: They just paid them extra money.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's off the market.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: I love Michael mayor.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think they just read it is contract players that get new contracts usually don't get traded.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: Ben, even though Farrell's a vet, maybe he takes a step to the second year.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_01]: Can't go down.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: Cannot go down.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: Can only get better.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: You're a rock bottle, buddy.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: Well, only one way to go.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: Gotta go up.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: And even if you cut Farrell you lose money, because you have that huge void here.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: So $40 ain't cutting them.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: That contract is rough.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's rough.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: Logo, Pharaoh's not even fools go.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's constantly doing this.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all rough, man.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Pharaoh caused the interception.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: Bounced off his palms of his hands, served it up.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like you freaking worked at Fogga to chill.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like you just give it stuff away.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: You get interception.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's bad.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's bad.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: Big toe back with the Super Chat.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, bro.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: Wish we had signed him.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: That way we could have maybe gotten Charlie Kohler.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, like Charlie Kohler.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: We can actually block with the upside athleticism
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle really likes veteran titans.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: He likes veteran sinners and veteran titans.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's very rare to get a rookie titan.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: They have a higher bus rate in the draft and quarterback's due.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: Titan is hard.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: Because you've got to know all the run game and all the past game, so like your receiver and offense of like you have no at all and that is just difficult and your block it freaking denial hunter and miles Garrett and then you're running routes.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: the very, like, it's just hard.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: Tightened, and that's a big reason I don't like drafted tight ends early.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's a higher bus percentage than freaking quarterbacks.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: And it's one of the most devalued positions in the NFL.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: So like, I wanna pay the devalued positions.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: I wanna pay safeties, off-ball linebackers, running backs, tight ends.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: Those are value.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: They ain't gonna break the bank.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_01]: Spend your high-quality draft picks on the premium positions, then let them walk.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: unless you got a foundational player, then you lock them up.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: Monkey, he reminds me of me.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Shetty had on a wide receiver and Chapman with Farrell.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Minute is a compliment.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: I Minute is an insult.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's the difference.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever they ask, like, why don't you draft Ricky Pierce?
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I agree.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: Remind me of me.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: As a positive, I'm not spending a first round pick or freaking a Chapman.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_01]: similar type player.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's a priority for a agent, man.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think you min it as a shot, but I didn't take it as one.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't take it as one.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, here we go.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get back to some good stuff.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get back to yeah.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: Some feel good player.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: This is the best value draft pick the $40 has had this year.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: You got to remember, put your
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: You wait all freaking months for the first round pick.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: 40 hours of the clock, all they trade back.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we love it.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody wanted to trade back.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: Well, 40 hours get to pick here in a couple of picks.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna wait, we're gonna wait.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: 40 hours of the clock, all they trade back again.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: No pick today.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: So you go to bed and you're just like, well, that's a two good trade back.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, all right, cool, cool, cool, cool.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: Wonder who we're gonna get, a lot of good players.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: Get there on the clock.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: 40 hours take to Sean Stribley.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_01]: Which?
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: I like to Sean Stripley is one of my rush crush players, one of 13.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: I love them.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't love them 33rd overall.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever, then you get back up of the clock, trade back, trade back, trade back, Ramelohite, cool.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just like, what are we even doing?
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: Then you get to third round another Kyle Shinahan, running back Katelyn Black, who I didn't even have a draft of a grade on.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: What the hell, man?
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: Reach, reach, reach, consensus, mock draft, all that stuff.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then you get Grayson Haltson.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: After everything you did you totally redeemed yourself like that was the grace and halt pick the value above consensus the how he roseman style draft approach however you want to put it Fans love this pick.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: I love this pick.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: I love the player even though he played for oh you disgusting Hey, oh you but he's a defensive tackle.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: Where's Jersey number 93 62293.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: He is your ideal
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: Begap, three tech, just slicer, just slicer, grew up in San Diego.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: his father, uh, Beauford and mother, Kim Dege, his father started this always give back sports foundation, which is awesome, uh, help kids in the community develop their skills to her sports.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: Gotta love that.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: He's been raised around that.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: He went to St. Augustine High School, private Catholic school in San Diego.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: Played both ways, was a tight ed defensive
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: Goes to owe you over a lot of very quality programs, no clue why.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: Get strapped into the fourth round.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: 107 overall, ran a 48 too.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's a hyper athlete.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: This is our pre-traff right up from the 49ers rush.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: Drapbook.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: Before you got drafted, okay?
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you want to watch Grayson Haulton go over to the 49er's rush.com or Patreon channel, links in the description of this video in podcasts.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: We got a full coaching tape up on it.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: You'll see exactly how he translates into the 49ers.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's not highlights.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's me explaining the every single play.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's pretty freaking good.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is our pre-traff right up on Grayson Holden.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: Good motor and speed and press a vat's athlete when you watch the tape.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: Very effective on stunts.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: Has it swim move that is pretty good, it's just go too.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: Lacks the ideal length and footwork.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's a little bit smaller.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: Tints to play finesse in a violent position.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: High school tied in and athleticism shows on tape.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: Lower body twitches there.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: He is shot out of a can of the GTFO, Chris Kusaric, the 40 R's D-line coach talks about all the time.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: Grayson Holden has in space.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: Crazy get off third best vertical ever for a defensive tackle 36 and a half inch vertical at 300 pounds.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_01]: What that's insane man Love his past rush arsenal swim moves is best But you see some double arm overs.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: You see some four cliff.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: You see some swaths.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: You see some clubs like he he's got He's got a lot of moves
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: got to perfect him a little bit better.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_01]: And he never was really a true starter.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: That was kind of the the true kind of permeating factor with this draft class.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_01]: You get guys like Kaylon Black and Grayson Hullington that were rotational depth pieces that provide sparks, but how do you go from being a rotational defense attack what oh you their defenses were never great, but.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: to now you're going to be a defense starter in the NFL.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: It happens, it's rare.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: But Grayson Haulman doesn't have to be a starter for the 40 diners.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: You have also Digi Zua in that three tech.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's where he will be rotating behind him.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: And that's kind of like the two cops that I gave for, I'll did I put them in here.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_01]: Dang it, I'm like, oh yeah, they're there.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: The two cops I gave to Grayson Haulman before the 9th or
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: he just gets to be behind OSA.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: You just learn when OSA comes off you go on the Brava group.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: Go get after like you only have to play 20 snaps again.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: Even if Grace and Halt becomes a stud, you're probably not going to start him in the Plugger role.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be CJ West or Alpha Collins.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: So you now have this too deep.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: I would argue three, four deep of defensive tackles like that's just an awesome
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: Rotation.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_01]: Snaps, the only plate 900 snaps in his career.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: Again, part of a rotation from early on, but has never been the guy that gave a one out of 10 on experience skill.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's only 22, so he's young, which I do like that.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: Verse, till the new we gave a five, speed a nine out of 10.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's quick.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: Acceleration eight out of 10, injury nine out of 10.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: Never really had any major injuries.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: He had some undisclosed injuries and some camp issues, never missed time in the season.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: Pass rush six, run game nine.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's the trait out of 10.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: How we rated Grayson and all those were done before he drafted him.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: So we don't skew them or change them after the night or draft them, even though we do more work.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little too easy to get a little bias, right?
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, I really like this guy.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: Let's give him some more.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: Let's pump this up.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't do that.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: 49er Spitzkelle, he was a nine out of 10.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: Big reason he didn't get 10 out of 10, lack of experience.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: Niners usually go after the guys that play a lot of football.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: Grace and Haunt done fit that.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's been a rotational guy, his entire career.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: Played a lot of games, but not a lot of starts, not a lot of snaps.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: You look at his PFF grades, 84.7 overall, awesome, 76.9, past rush, awesome, 86.9, run game.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: You get this underside slasher that is great in the run, under size defense of tackle, you can pass rush, but he's great against the run.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're thinking Kevin Gibbons, one of the longest 10 or nineers for the 40 hours no longer with the team, but with upside.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why he's gonna be asked to do.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't even gotta start here, Grayson.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're also number two, baby.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what it develops into eight and a half career sacks second 17 and a half career TFLs.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: I had a third round grade on him.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: Niners got him in the fourth, fun player, really fun player and where he fits, he's going to be at that bravo group, 100% making the roster, fourth round picks, make rosters and one of those players that's just like, yeah.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: Very similar to how everybody felt about CJ West last year, like dude, that's great value.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_01]: If you would have took Grace and Halton in the second round, nobody would have been pissed.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: Took him to the third round.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody would have been happy.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: You take Grace and Halton in the fourth round.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: Hell yeah.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: Let's ride.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: Let's ride.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's the stop.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I'm a long horn.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: I hate oh you.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: I love this kid.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: I was high on him before the nighters drafted him and it's just innate stopping.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: This train ain't stopping.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's what it is.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_01]: Gregory, 73 years young and a 49er span, all my life, love your content.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_01]: John, Gregory, you are the best of all of us.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: And that is just amazing.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: I hope that we do credit, I wish I had your knowledge.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: One day, I hope to have your experience, but man, I just read this and I'm just like, oh, yeah, that is awesome.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: Gregory, you are freaking legend man.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: So cool.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: So cool.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: Logan.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: Grace and Halton was the best value pick we made in the draft.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'd argue the best value pick 40 hours have made in a couple years CJ West last year, very similar spot.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: Grayson Hotton this year right there and how to yeah halted is the perfect rotational piece for OSA eerily similar play in style very similar he don't have the arms that OSA had
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so it's just got those long ass arms and uses them so well.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: It grace at all doesn't have that, but grace at all does have the elite speed explosive, you know, burst from the lower body way more so than or so.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: He just then, oh, so he just doesn't have the arms and the length that that's kind of where that is.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_01]: Loga again, back.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so CJ West, Alfred Collins, Basha Valdez, Grace and Valdez.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds like a really good defensive tackle.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_01]: Don't give up on Evan Anderson.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: don't give up on Evan Anderson.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: And then you've got your two kind of highest priced priority for agents that you brought in and Bryson eats in the James Thompson Jr. Like that is a young, exciting room.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be hard to keep it to five.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, sometimes in the 40 hours keep 60 fits of tackles.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: Whoo.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: Whoo.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I'm just saying, oh, there we go.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: Charles Hayley.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was from James
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I see how it does upgrade for Kevin gives, say, very say, and I loved Kevin gives me the thing that made Kevin give us just you couldn't get rid of them.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: He was your smallest defensive tackle in the room, which Grayson Houghton is now the smallest him and Sebastian Valdes, but his technique against the double team made it impossible to move on from him.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_01]: Kevin gives could split the double team with the best of them.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: smallest defense of tackle.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_01]: How the hell is that possible?
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: Technique, discipline.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: If halting can pick up those skills, because halting's a better athlete, way higher ceiling.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean Kevin Gibbons was with the Niners for six seasons as an undrafted free age of from 2019.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, did his work, entries got it to him at the end,
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: King Jake, what's up, man?
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: Could Hallen work beside Osso on third down.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but they do that NASCAR package stuff.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: And now you're going to start blitzing the sand backer with Rehean Morris with the wild card stuff.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: I doubt you're going to have a lot of two defensive tackles out there, even if it is third and short, you probably still want to plug her, CJ or Alfred Collins.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: But maybe not, like, there will be times where it's okay having three undersized, you know, or two undersized, three techniques out there at the same time.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: Just don't do it a lot.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: They just don't do it a very much.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: But I'd be happy with that, like, made the best man win.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners get a little too, especially defensively.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: I offensively too Kyle, if I'm going to be honest with you, they get a little too pitch and hold in.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_01]: I want this type of player at that spot.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_01]: Instead of just I want my best 11, Kyle does it ever run for wide receivers, ever.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even in the playbook, ever.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't run 13 personnel ever, unless it's a quarterback sneak on the goal line.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: We always use a big nickel.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like it.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers kind of follow a code in the personnel groupings,
- 50:08[SPEAKER_01]: I wish they were a little bit more relaxed.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: The shoulders, Sean McVay.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get our best 11 out there.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's where McVay shines in the NFL is, oh, why not?
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: Let's make a work.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: Shed ahead.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's not what we do.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_01]: Rigid versus flexible.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_01]: Now, shit ahead, that's a knock on shanny and, but I love Kyle Shanny and it's just yeah, we're allowed to have some critiques.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: Shane, what's up, man?
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: Glad to see you here, man.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: Grayson, all this go to feast on tired offensive lineman.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's the cool thing.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_01]: You're an offensive guard and you're going against 101.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so diggy zoo, uh, nonstop, nonstop, you get to the sideline and come back out.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now you
- 50:55[SPEAKER_01]: going to step into a really good situation.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty freaking pumped.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_01]: Let's trade don't stop there anymore.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: How many guys can you keep?
- 51:04[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers usually keep five defensive tackles.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now the rotation for the longest time was 60 ends and five defensive tackles.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_01]: That flipped two years ago.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: Five defensive ends to 60
- 51:23[SPEAKER_01]: You're keeping 11, D-Lineman, how does that go?
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: You start looking at that defensive tackle room.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, there's a lot of, dude, there's a lot of cats.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so one.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_01]: Alpha Cones 2, CJ West 3, Grayson Houghton 4.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: Those four are 100% making the roster.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: No offense, buts are about it, okay?
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: Five Sebastian Valdez, six Evan Anderson, that dude started his rookie year multiple games.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_01]: James Thompson, Jr. your highest paid priority free agent,
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know now it's somebody got to claim Sebastian Valdez off waivers nobody did it all of last year Maybe he could slide him through it's somebody got to claim Evan Anderson off waivers nobody did it all of last year was on the practice squad the whole time James Thompson Jr. will get claimed probably Was it drafted so every team already passed over him in the draft, but you paid him the most year allowed to pay a priority free agent to come here I Don't know how you like you got to get
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: got to get kind of careful and sneaky and whatever now we'll see man you got to get pressure got to get pressure got to get pressure can't wait for that battle and can't wait for that battle and can't forty nine or seventy eight says you know the nighter should use in recay cruiser tight in I've seen catch passes again Shanahan doesn't do that
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, the tackle over and you bring an extra tackle out there.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: Buffalo bills do it all the time.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: Joe Brady does it all the time.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, guys do that all the time.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: And Shannon had to do that.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: He put Trent Williams one time as a tie-in, sentiment motion killed a guy, worked a perfection, never did it in the end.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's been three years since that.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's not Shannon Hans M.O.. Shannon is, here's our system, here's our place.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_01]: These work, the automals are built in.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have to get creative, you know, Coach Winkler and the magic playbook.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's not what Shenehaan does, not say that I wish he wouldn't, I wish he would and Enrique Cruz would be a perfect Titan 3.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_01]: So a damn athletic, put him out there as maybe Shenehaan changes his stripes, maybe.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_01]: I probably wouldn't hold my breath.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_01]: But, hey, maybe, maybe now, if you're in the Bay Area, oh, we're moving.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're about to go through this same process.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: Guess what we're doing?
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: We're used to this company 100%.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: You want to support local business.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: You want to do what's right from the environment.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_01]: Go to the mattressguysco.com, locally owned business, diehardeninerfin that supports the show, supports the 49ers rush road trips.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: He is a legend.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: So if you have a mattress, you want to get rid of, you just go to the mattressguysco.com, set an appointment, they come pick it up, easy peasy.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's just, it's a win-win-win.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: Go to the mattressguysco.com,
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: and do wish right for the environment.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's a win.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad somebody got my water boy reference.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's good.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if you want me to highlight your comment, which I try to do a very good job to keep everybody involved, it's a one man show over here.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: You acknowledge where my reference came from.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'll highlight those 100 out of 100 times.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a narcissist, let's be honest.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: Started a podcast.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: There has to be something inherently wrong with you mentally.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: If you're like, oh, yeah, I should start a podcast.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_01]: People would want to hear me talk, like,
- 55:08[SPEAKER_01]: What got person would do that, but I did, it's what it is.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_01]: What are your best traits, John?
- 55:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm really humble.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, anyway.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get back to it.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: We got one more player, and we got to do it.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: Unpopular!
- 55:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yet necessary.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody's got to win this.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_01]: I am not the Jaiya Brown guy.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: If what he does off the field, just makes it even harder.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's like dude, shut up.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_01]: just play some football like I'm all four players voices and I want them to be able to put out whatever the hell they want to be at.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_01]: But you're going to like argue with former 49ers now, you know, whatever's going on with that I winters awesome, but like he's trying to start stuff now, like he's found like, oh, I get traction if I just start fights with current players.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's the way
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: Keep your head down, get to work.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_01]: Stop doing all this extra, you know what I mean?
- 56:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like, don't do all that stuff.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_01]: But, Jaiya Brown, not my favorite player.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_01]: By a long stretch.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just go through his journey.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's been with the Niners.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_01]: This last year was Ricky Deal.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_01]: Thank God, but he's been good.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_01]: His rookie year was his best year by a mile.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_01]: came into the roster count down right 35 from the jump jumped up to 14 his rookie year.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_01]: He was awesome like got to interception the Super Bowl versus Patrick Mahomes.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_01]: He was Steve Wilkes made him look like a quality safety, possible pro bull guy.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_01]: He was 14 on the roster count down in 2024 and then it was just like, oh, what the hell man, this dude.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_01]: He was awful.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_01]: Last year he was 20 it put up his worst year yet.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: This year 34, somebody's got to win this damn job.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown, he's got the skill set.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_01]: Where's Jersey number 27?
- 57:16[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just like, Kali, I'm to the point now where I'm just, you know, he's about to get the the barnacle treatment where I'm just, I'm not gonna say his name anymore.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like drawing negative attention to players.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_01]: Depositives, boss skills, boss skills, boss skills.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_01]: He could cause turnovers.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's a turnover, making safety.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, that's the positives.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's like, all right, I need more.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's on his rookie deal.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's 26 years old.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_01]: He finally gets quality coaching.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: My man Ben, you know, he put this, you know, in our note section that this is one of the players he wants to see unfold this year.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_01]: does getting Fred Warner back coverage wise communication wise elevate jay or browns play does getting quality coaching from Jerry Gray hook him one of the best defensive backs coaches in the NFL does that kind of return the Steve Wilkes jay or brown can he go back to his rookie year can he regress to positive play
- 58:26[SPEAKER_01]: Just so many negatives do can't tackle for guarders and even whenever I say you can't tackle you'll see a play where he'll come up the lights are on and just bam tackle in the back field he closes 12 yards from the hash and just tackle for loss what the hell what what just happened and then the very next play he will human torch himself stare at the ground put his arms
- 58:56[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just like, what was it bringing a bring your kid to work day?
- 59:02[SPEAKER_01]: How do you have this awesome play where it's like, do that was awesome?
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then the very next play, what are you doing?
- 59:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like you can't put your arms to the side and dive and he'll take some of these plays in a game where he's scared of contact and just kind of throw a shoulder and just hug itself and make himself feel comfortable
- 59:27[SPEAKER_01]: it like even, you know, it's funny because PFF, they'll put on their Miss Tackle and they calculate those.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_01]: Jaya Brown had so many Miss Tackle opportunities that weren't even counted in Miss Tackles because he doesn't even touch the player, which you're an alley defender.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_01]: He'll take a poor angle or he'll dive with his arms tucked and not even make contact.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't even count as a Miss Tackle.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_01]: So the highs are high, the turnovers, the interceptions,
- 59:59[SPEAKER_01]: And if I put together like a jire brown lowlights, which I don't want to do and I hope I never do it again, sometimes, I get so pissed off that I do it to a player and I always regret it and it gets a lot of views and then I hate it even more, but it's like, I could put together a jire brown lowlights and you would just be like, how is this doing the NFL.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_01]: But that's not the reality.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_01]: There are highlights too.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_01]: my number one thing in players I love is consistency.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_01]: It was the same thing as a coach like people like see I made that touchdown.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_01]: Coach got a like dude you make five mistakes in the touchdown.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: We can't win with that.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's not how you win football.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's a giant brown player.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_01]: You got to get consistent man and it gets in the starting line.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_01]: They benchmark key
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_01]: They put Jaya Brown back in.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_01]: She had a hint, gets on there and says, yeah, you can't get beat deep, a cover three.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: What you can't not, Marky Seagull did.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: They ate them out of the starting lineup, put it in Jaya Brown, back to back weeks.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_01]: He did the same thing for touchdowns.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_01]: And they crickets, and you just keep Jaya Brown in.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm just like, too, why don't you stay with the rookie that has the upside?
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_01]: Jaya Brown's, and it's third damn year.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get to the history of Jared Brown.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_01]: I got to jump to gun there.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_01]: My bad.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_01]: Call me Tig.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_01]: His nickname is Tig, because he reminded the family of Tigger from Winnie the Pooh.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_01]: I was Pooh Bear.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_01]: That was my nickname growing up.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: Went to lack of water than Penn State where stairs number 27 is 511 to 100 pounds 26 years old born and raised in Trent and I know a lot of people love him because we got a lot of East coast Niners I know Mike Andrews one of my favorite human beings in the world.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_01]: I know that he knows some of the family members.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Jaya Browd goes, he transfers from Lockawanna to Penn State and was awesome there.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_01]: He was in Cretto, 16 career takeaways in three seasons, multiple time team captain named the Rose Bowl game defensive MVP, two time team, like he was awesome there.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_01]: He was awesome, but he was surrounded by awesome.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_01]: Comes the NFL, good rookie year.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_01]: He was drafted 87th overall in the 2023 third round.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the worst round of draft picks ever in 49ers history.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_01]: I understand there's worst draft picks, but you walk out of that third round.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, guys.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_01]: We got to do this.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_01]: We're doing this.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_01]: You walk out of that third round with Jaiya Brown who you traded up for.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_01]: Cameron Law to, uh, and Jake Moody.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what makes it worse.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, we're gonna keep doing this.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna get through it guys.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_01]: So just hug yourself like you're about to be a giant brown form tackling a player coming up the middle and make yourself feel comfortable and we're gonna get through this together.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_01]: I got you, okay?
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's light at the end of the tunnel.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_01]: I hope it's not trained.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_01]: These are the players that way after giant brown.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I just walked out at third brown with three players.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_01]: Jake Moody, Cameron Law II, and Jaya Brown.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_01]: These are the players I went after.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_01]: Take Big Speed, Kobe Turner, Demarvee on Overshone, Darnell Washington, Michael Wilson, Jordan Battle Trade Tucker, Anthony Perfer.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_01]: How do you get those three?
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_01]: And you could have had any of those other woods.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_01]: Man.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_01]: That.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, like, you got to hit something eventually.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, three dart throws and you just missed.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's like Bob Yooker.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_01]: Just a bit outside.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like, God, leave, man.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_01]: You just surrounded by talent and you could not have missed more.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Jaya Brown's still playing.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_01]: and the the highs are high due to intercept patching homes in the Super Bowl.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_01]: The week you cannot that is could have been the play of the game.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_01]: Could have delivered the 6th one party.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_01]: All that is there.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_01]: Just hasn't happened man.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_01]: It just hasn't happened.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so the injuries, the lack of consistency.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what to do.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_01]: I struggle with number 27.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_01]: then I should mean.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's get to the chat.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_01]: Kim bro, what's that you moved to?
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_01]: We're moving to Emoryville, which I've been on the phone with internet providers and all that fun stuff today.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I've been doing.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the moving process, not fun.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_01]: But I do have to say this.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_01]: The the wife and I are taking our anniversary trip.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to get a couple of weeks without John.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_01]: And this is something I have never done before.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_01]: But it's our 20th anniversary.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_01]: We're heading over to Europe.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_01]: We've been saving for this trip for multiple years.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, man, if she leaves me, I'm just going my own trip, but I'm joking.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of, but I'm sorry I joke about that.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_01]: I probably should do everything's fine with us.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, we're going over to Europe.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_01]: So you're not going to get any 49ers rush content for a couple of weeks.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_01]: I've never done that before.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_01]: But hopefully you guys will allow me that time.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even bringing my computer.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_01]: So if there's like major break news, I'll just do like a cell phone, something and load it and whatever.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it's, it's gonna be a good time.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited about it.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_01]: A little nervous about walking away for a couple of weeks because,
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_01]: This is just what I do all the time.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I haven't done that.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, the wife asked me not to bring the computer, so I'm doing it.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing that.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm staying at the Bay Area.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be over an Emoryville right by the Bay Bridge just on the Oakland side.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is, because of these comments, man.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I do agree with this.
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_01]: How do you want Seagull learns to use his eyes and look back at the ball, he'll be his stud.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_01]: Seagull has such a higher ceiling.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's so much faster.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's the best tackling, 40-dider.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's always in the right place.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's just got to start making plays.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's one area.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown has the advantage.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown makes plays.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_01]: He makes offenses pay with turnovers.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Marky's single.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_01]: I would have never gone back to take or I would have rotate.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_01]: I wish the Niners again back to kind of their sentence.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_01]: Don't I wish they would have rotated safeties last year.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, dive it guys to get nothing.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_01]: You see what you hit.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_01]: You hit what you see.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the ground.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be on the ground.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_01]: A Kellow with her spoon, every Thomas, Jair Brown.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not high on those types of players.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just not.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_01]: Never have been.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's football.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's not flat.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's not seven on seven.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_01]: The same flag football.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown would be a perfect flag football player.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_01]: Elite 3 Co. Chainsett direction.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_01]: Good hands.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_01]: Stayed away.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we got a super bad reference in the chat.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_01]: I freaking love that man.
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_01]: That is awesome.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm stayed away.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I would pick it up.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_01]: Pickles happening with Larry.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've been there before.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_01]: I need to go there and yeah, it's happening.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_01]: 100%.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, yeah, right here.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_01]: Dave, John's a world traveler this year.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_01]: Three continents in a year.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man, when the plan, because we we've been planning this anniversary trip for, I don't three, four years.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_01]: It just, you know, slowly keep a money set aside so that we could do this.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then sure enough, I said, made the proud promise.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm never going to miss a $40 international game again.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_01]: So they all struggle.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_01]: It comes on the map.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, oh, damn.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we're going it's a pricey, which if you want to be a part of that, all include some package, you better hurry up.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's about to be locked up.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_01]: So if you are on the fence about coming off, Australia, and you want everything included, 40 hours rush road trip.com.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's about to be locked.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_01]: So it's now or never if you're going to join us, but then, all right, we're doing the Europe trip.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_01]: We've been paying that off and then we get the Australia trip.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to do it no matter what it costs.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be there.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_01]: I want to build that moment for other people.
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then they put Mexico on there, which, you know, I missed the Mexico already started to talk about tacos.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot of miles this year, but that's all right.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to make it work.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_01]: The last hero, appreciate the super chat based on the bond hearing.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like the allegations that it's Terry on Arnold may have been overblown, would you take a flyer on a held no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_01]: I want to give mad props.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_01]: One corner is not a weakness for the
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_01]: mad props to Matt Campbell and the Detroit lines for releasing him and I'm not even saying he did or didn't whatever, yeah, I saw some of the bond hearing.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_01]: My thing is you lied to your head coach and that, you know, the lions, they came out and they released the statement.
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_01]: they knew about this situation.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_01]: They sat down with Terry on Arnold and they're like, dude, be honest with us.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_01]: Tell us exactly what's going on.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_01]: He tells us we had nothing to do with these.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_01]: He just caught up with it like his friends.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_01]: He had nothing to do with it.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_01]: He whatever else, whatever else.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_01]: They said, look, dude, if more comes out, we're going to let you go.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_01]: So you need to be honest with us.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_01]: I promise swear, swear, swear, swear, swear.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_01]: This is my own reenactment of what happened.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_01]: All these details come out, which proved that he lied to the face of his
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_01]: gone.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Shanahan already did this.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_01]: This is the Rubin Foster move.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, what's going on?
- 1:09:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to stay in behind you.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_01]: Richard Sherman was awesome.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be there.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be supporting you all those things.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_01]: All this is in the past, right?
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_01]: Then Rubin Foster brings that same girl to the team hotel and gets in another altercation.
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_01]: your ass gone.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't got time for that.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_01]: Your priority is not football.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_01]: Your priority is not the team is not the locker room.
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's not our relationship.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_01]: Get your shit and go.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Football is a privilege.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_01]: Not a right.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_01]: It is not.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_01]: Now, there are plenty of teams.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_01]: The kids, city chiefs, the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle C Hawks, Philadelphia.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of teams out there that don't give a
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not like the 49ers roster is full of all, you know, whatever, you know, boy scouts and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, but I, that, no, man.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_01]: You read those allegations.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's the dumbest, like, that is like a middle school plan gone to ride.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_01]: They literally started a group chat about kidnapping people.
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's starting a group chat now how much Terry on Arnolds involved in all those things, whatever else, but maybe you wait till everything has completely concluded the legal system, everything else, but no, I'm not taking a fly or one, it's not a big need to I don't want to mess is like that on my team, I'm good stay in a way.
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's just me.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Can't do it.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_01]: Can't do it.
- 1:11:28[SPEAKER_01]: Right there.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_01]: Why did they draft Rubin Foster?
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now the blame John or Harball?
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's a Rubin Foster.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Rubin Foster.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_01]: Now the blame John Harball for drafting him even though it was much later.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand that one.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_01]: My bad dude.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not smart enough to get that one.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_01]: So sorry about that.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_01]: There's lots of places he can go.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just
- 1:11:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't I don't even think I think that kid just needs to get his life right and figure it out and get on the back side of this go through the legal process all those things and then focus on other stuff he's got gifted talent that's great.
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_01]: not enough for me.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's not enough for me.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't want that.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want that distraction.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want that.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_01]: You've got plenty of corners, not an issue.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_01]: But that's my, again, I approached this for my high school coach perspective.
- 1:12:19[SPEAKER_01]: These guys are trying to win championships.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_01]: Terry on Arnold's a good player.
- 1:12:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a great player.
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's good.
- 1:12:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm staying away.
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm staying away.
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, substance, appreciate you guys.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, this has been fun.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now,
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_01]: I might be able to get a show out tomorrow.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_01]: I've got an insane day.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, the United States is playing in the World Cup.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_01]: So the time Larry and I go live, I will not be going live.
- 1:12:42[SPEAKER_01]: Haven't talked to Larry about the A's and we met at me.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_01]: But he's a freaking man.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I will not be going live tomorrow night.
- 1:12:48[SPEAKER_01]: We usually do a Wednesday night show, but with the World Cup playing, we will not be doing that.
- 1:12:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'll figure out if I could try to get a show in early on, but then I fly out early the next day.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_01]: So we might get a show tomorrow.
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to fight for one, but we might not in which case it be the last time for a couple of weeks you hear for me, but there's lots of other content creators out there go, uh, listen to the 40 hours cutback, Wayne, uh, crew, man, there's so many studs out there, uh, Johnny Del football show go check about it now would be a good time.
- 1:13:19[SPEAKER_01]: to find a couple new shows they're not to replace this but if you find somebody like more to that's okay if we play the small role in making your fandom any better even if that is listening to another show that's a good thing not a bad thing i don't take that as a loss but this is a bit fun and uh yeah 49ers on popular yet necessary players um i'm run burgundy
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, but we always got grace and hope, right?
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_01]: And that, uh, yeah, I like that guy.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are the best, the best, appreciate you spend some time with us today.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_01]: And until next time, hopefully tomorrow, but if not two weeks, stay strong, faithful.
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_01]: Peace.
