- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome, everybody.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Welcome to Get to the Point. This is our very
- 0:03Speaker 2: first show, first episode. Look, I'm your host, Terrell Owens.
- 0:07Speaker 2: This is my guy, Chris Spencer. And we have lots
- 0:10Speaker 2: to talk about. We got sports. We got pop culture.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We talking a little politics.
- 0:15Speaker 1: What else? Not much politics. Just a little bit.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Whatever we talk about, we are going to get to
- 0:20Speaker 3: the point. And we also want to remind you to share, like,
- 0:22Speaker 3: and subscribe to GTTP Pod.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Or wherever you get your podcasts.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Yes.
- 0:28Speaker 1: If you're on YouTube, put GTTP Podcast. Yeah. You see
- 0:33Speaker 1: what I just did right there?
- 0:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I like that.
- 0:34Speaker 1: That's what we're going to be doing. Yeah, yeah. I
- 0:36Speaker 1: like that. You just got to the point. You're telling
- 0:49Speaker 1: me you can play right now? Yeah, I can go
- 0:52Speaker 1: right now.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Bro, it's... It's a matter of just knowing what you're
- 0:57Speaker 2: supposed to do. Like, I have knowledge of the game.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I'm not going to be able to play and give
- 1:01Speaker 2: you like 75 snaps. Right.
- 1:03Speaker 1: But I've told people, like, they've asked me. They see
- 1:06Speaker 1: the shape of me now.
- 1:07Speaker 2: They're like, yo, can you go?
- 1:08Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Like, third down, red zone situation. Yeah, but you ain't
- 1:12Speaker 2: been tackled in a lot of years. I didn't really
- 1:14Speaker 2: get tackled a lot when I played. That's the point
- 1:18Speaker 2: of the game. It ain't like you trying to get tackled.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I'm not going out there to get tackled.
- 1:21Speaker 1: That's true. You know what I mean?
- 1:23Speaker 2: But anyway, welcome to Get to the Point. I'm Terrell Lawrence,
- 1:27Speaker 2: and this is my guy, Chris Spencer. What up? Man,
- 1:30Speaker 2: we have something special for you guys. Hey, we have
- 1:33Speaker 2: the NFL preview special. This is going to be an
- 1:37Speaker 2: awesome show.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Yes, it is.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Coming straight to you guys. This is our first one.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah. Not the last one. Yes.
- 1:43Speaker 2: So pay attention.
- 1:45Speaker 3: What's great is that I don't mean to, you know,
- 1:48Speaker 3: I'm sure you get people kissing your butt all day.
- 1:50Speaker 3: But for me to be here with a Hall of
- 1:52Speaker 3: Famer to talk football is special.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Because a lot of times we see a lot of
- 1:57Speaker 3: people talking football who ain't played no football.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Yes, they're experts.
- 2:01Speaker 2: But it's great that I'm here with you. The entirety
- 2:04Speaker 2: of the show is not going to be all football.
- 2:06Speaker 2: But the fact that everybody's been asking me, they've been
- 2:09Speaker 2: telling me, yo, T, like, why aren't you on this network?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Why aren't you on that network?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Like.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Dude, you're very knowledgeable. You have a lot to give
- 2:15Speaker 2: to the game. Like, you're great on TV. You're handsome,
- 2:19Speaker 2: all these good things.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Who said you was handsome?
- 2:21Speaker 2: I mean, a lot of people say I'm handsome. I mean,
- 2:23Speaker 2: they say I'm very marketable. You know, the thing that
- 2:26Speaker 2: I always hear, man, you speak so well. You're articulate.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Bro, I look good. I mean, have you not seen
- 2:33Speaker 1: my shirt? Hold on.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I never dreamed one day I'd be a sexy, bald guy,
- 2:40Speaker 3: but here I am killing it.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Killing it. That's actually my shirt. Up next, we're talking football.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And we're not talking X's and O's. No.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Because I know you.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Can't run no routes. You can't catch no balls, paws.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Ah!
- 2:52Speaker 2: You can't catch and you can't run. But we're going
- 2:55Speaker 2: to be talking about what's going on.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I can catch. I can't run. Yeah, yeah. We're going
- 2:57Speaker 1: to be talking about what's going on in the league. Yes.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Some trending topics. Yes. Storylines that me and you are following. Yeah, yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Not only just me and you, but everybody else is following.
- 3:07Speaker 2: And I know they want to get our take on it.
- 3:10Speaker 2: And we're going to get to the point. We're right
- 3:11Speaker 2: here in Los Angeles, so you know the top story. Yes.
- 3:14Speaker 1: The Rams. Los Angeles Rams. Can they get back to
- 3:17Speaker 1: the Super Bowl?
- 3:18Speaker 2: Right. Matthew Stafford is going into his 88th season. He
- 3:22Speaker 2: might be the best quarterback in the league. Ooh, I
- 3:25Speaker 2: don't know about that one.
- 3:26Speaker 1: No? I don't know about that. He's the best QB
- 3:29Speaker 1: in LA.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Justin Herbert? I mean, he's the only one that has
- 3:34Speaker 2: a championship, right? Yeah, so I'll have to go with
- 3:37Speaker 2: you on that one. Okay, good. But with the addition
- 3:39Speaker 2: of Aaron Donald coming back. I can see, honestly, they
- 3:44Speaker 2: have a blueprint, a model of what they could be.
- 3:47Speaker 2: When you go back to the year that the Ravens
- 3:49Speaker 2: won the Super Bowl and they had Trent Dilfer as
- 3:53Speaker 2: a quarterback, I think Matthew Stafford's tidbit better than Trent Dilfer.
- 3:59Speaker 2: But when you think about the defensive side of the ball,
- 4:01Speaker 2: I don't know if the defensive side of the ball
- 4:03Speaker 2: can duplicate what the Ravens did.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Well, they got Myles Garrett, too.
- 4:07Speaker 2: But that's what I'm saying. Like I said, with the
- 4:09Speaker 2: addition that they have, I don't know by position they
- 4:12Speaker 2: can match up, but when you add those two, put
- 4:15Speaker 2: those two at the forefront, oh, bro.
- 4:19Speaker 1: So I want to go back to kind of what
- 4:21Speaker 1: I was saying earlier because, you know, you're in shape.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah. Right?
- 4:24Speaker 1: And there's look exterior. Yeah, there's exterior shape. I saw
- 4:29Speaker 1: Aaron Donald not too long ago. Right. In shape.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I didn't even know he was thinking about coming back.
- 4:34Speaker 3: He was out with my boy Boss. We was at
- 4:37Speaker 3: this restaurant called Gravitas, and I saw Aaron.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I was like, yo. And I jokingly said, you could
- 4:41Speaker 1: probably still play. And he snickered. And now I see
- 4:45Speaker 1: what that little snicker was. He's coming back. He's back.
- 4:48Speaker 1: He's back.
- 4:49Speaker 3: He's back.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Question. He's 36.
- 4:50Speaker 2: 36, 37.
- 4:50Speaker 1: That's not out of the.
- 4:56Speaker 2: That's not out of the realm of possibility for somebody.
- 4:57Speaker 2: For that position, though?
- 5:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Bro, he was a monster when he left. I know.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You have 40-year-old quarterbacks.
- 5:05Speaker 2: And the thing, what he's done, he's preserved his body
- 5:08Speaker 2: for two years. That's two years that he hasn't really
- 5:10Speaker 2: had to take a lot of beating. He's taking care
- 5:12Speaker 2: of himself. His body has healed a lot. He's been
- 5:15Speaker 2: working out. That's not any question. But if you look
- 5:21Speaker 2: at the exterior, there's two types of shape. There's looking
- 5:25Speaker 2: physically in shape, and then there's game shape, cardiovascular in shape.
- 5:29Speaker 2: And I think he possesses both of those. So that's
- 5:33Speaker 2: why I don't see that this is going to be
- 5:35Speaker 2: a problem for him. A lot of what he does,
- 5:38Speaker 2: he's going to have a lot of help with Myles
- 5:41Speaker 2: Garrett on the end, bro. So defense and offense is
- 5:44Speaker 2: going to have a problem because they're not going to
- 5:47Speaker 2: know who the double team, who not the double team.
- 5:50Speaker 2: They may break some sack records this year as a team,
- 5:54Speaker 2: no doubt. And the thing is, you may see some
- 5:57Speaker 2: emergence of some other guys being able to benefit because
- 6:02Speaker 2: Myles Garrett is going to be double-teamed.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Aaron Donald is going to be double-teamed.
- 6:06Speaker 2: So whomever those other two or three guys on the–
- 6:09Speaker 2: they probably like– they're loving it. If I'm a guy
- 6:12Speaker 2: that's not Aaron Donald or named Myles Garrett, I'm licking
- 6:15Speaker 2: my chops. because these are going to present opportunities for
- 6:18Speaker 2: those guys to make plays, especially linebackers and even in
- 6:22Speaker 2: the secondary. You've got to think about it. If they're
- 6:24Speaker 2: putting pressure on the quarterback, then the balls are going
- 6:27Speaker 2: to be coming out early. Defensive back, the safeties, they're
- 6:30Speaker 2: going to be looking for picks, PBUs, all those things.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Another person that's back is Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, yeah. Is
- 6:37Speaker 3: it too early for him to be coming back? Now,
- 6:40Speaker 3: I probably shouldn't be asking you, because your ass, according
- 6:44Speaker 3: to your doctor, you weren't supposed to come back, but
- 6:48Speaker 3: then you came back and had probably one of the
- 6:49Speaker 3: greatest games in Super Bowl history.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Mahomes, he's a special player. I don't know if he's T.O.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Special.
- 6:57Speaker 2: When it comes to like, you know, just- Yours is ankle. Yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 2: like I tore all the ligaments in my ankle. And
- 7:03Speaker 2: his is ACL and LCL. Yeah, different injury. But the
- 7:07Speaker 2: process of really just the mental process of getting back
- 7:10Speaker 2: on the field kind of like before you need to,
- 7:13Speaker 2: that's a beast in itself. Obviously, like I said, I
- 7:16Speaker 2: had two screws and a plate in my ankle. I
- 7:19Speaker 2: had a broken leg going into the Super Bowl. Ideally,
- 7:23Speaker 2: six and a half, seven weeks is- what it took
- 7:26Speaker 2: me to rehab and get back.
- 7:29Speaker 1: He's had longer than that.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he's had longer than that. But it's a different injury,
- 7:31Speaker 2: like you said.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Right, a different injury.
- 7:33Speaker 2: A lot of what he has to do is obviously
- 7:35Speaker 2: a lot of weight distribution, like I said, you know.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Planning on it, avoiding tacklers. That's going to be tough
- 7:44Speaker 1: as a quarterback because he's constantly.
- 7:45Speaker 2: But I think him being smart, again, it's been, I
- 7:48Speaker 2: don't know how many months, it's almost, I don't know,
- 7:50Speaker 2: it's been at least 10 months, I would say. right
- 7:54Speaker 2: um and for him he's smart he knows and then
- 7:57Speaker 2: i think the play calling the way that they call
- 7:59Speaker 2: plays um getting the ball out of his hands that's
- 8:02Speaker 2: going to preserve him uh as well the offensive line
- 8:06Speaker 2: the protection that's going to be very key into how
- 8:10Speaker 2: successful he is and then again like i said it's
- 8:13Speaker 2: kind of like too early to tell these first few
- 8:15Speaker 2: games um again like i said and a lot of
- 8:18Speaker 2: pressure is going to be on those offensive linemen because
- 8:21Speaker 2: they know if they're blocking and Mahomes out there running
- 8:26Speaker 2: for his life and putting his injury back into harm's way,
- 8:30Speaker 2: they're going to be on the block. They're going to
- 8:31Speaker 2: be out here doing a podcast.
- 8:33Speaker 1: We're going to have them on the show.
- 8:34Speaker 2: They're going to be on the show with us if
- 8:36Speaker 2: they keep that up.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Josh Allen. Got himself a little coach.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Do you think dude is– Because they've put him up
- 8:47Speaker 3: there for a long time.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Like, he is that guy. What do you mean? Like,
- 8:51Speaker 1: the way they talk about him is like he should
- 8:52Speaker 1: have won 26 Super Bowls by now.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Not only just him, Justin Herbert as well. So what
- 8:59Speaker 2: are you asking? What are you saying about him?
- 9:01Speaker 1: Is he overrated?
- 9:02Speaker 2: Ooh. man, you put me on the spot. And I
- 9:05Speaker 2: don't want my Bills mafia to get mad at me. Oh, yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 2: that's right.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You played for the Bills. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I had
- 9:11Speaker 1: a short stand. I love the Buffalo Bills.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I mean, so you're asking me, I did, I guess,
- 9:15Speaker 2: in a grand scheme of things, from a fan perspective.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Well, they got a new coach. New coach.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Right, and what's great about the new coach is that
- 9:22Speaker 3: he was a quarterback coach. He was the offensive coordinator.
- 9:25Speaker 3: And so, and I think, like, they got a... You've
- 9:27Speaker 3: got to come in and learn some new stuff.
- 9:29Speaker 2: That bodes well for an offensive guy, especially like even
- 9:31Speaker 2: if I'm on the Buffalo Bills right now and I'm
- 9:34Speaker 2: a receiver and I've got an offensive-minded coach.
- 9:37Speaker 1: That you know already.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Right, exactly. That bodes well. There's a lot of familiarity,
- 9:42Speaker 2: especially offensive side of the ball, especially quarterback. You obviously
- 9:45Speaker 2: want to air the.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Ball out a lot.
- 9:47Speaker 2: But in order to air it out, you've got to
- 9:49Speaker 2: have the receivers to catch it. You've got to have
- 9:51Speaker 2: the pieces to be able to.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Be on the back end of those passes.
- 9:56Speaker 2: So, I mean, to your point, do I feel like
- 9:58Speaker 2: he's overrated from a standpoint of like, yeah, because he
- 10:00Speaker 2: hasn't won a Super Bowl. There's always going to be
- 10:03Speaker 2: those expectations. That's kind of always unfair, right? The expectations
- 10:07Speaker 2: of Josh Allen are the expectations of the Dallas Cowboys.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Right, right, right.
- 10:13Speaker 2: They want to win. They expect them to win every year.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Now, let me ask you something.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Is it okay for him just to make it to
- 10:20Speaker 3: the Super Bowl? Because Buffalo is known for going to
- 10:24Speaker 3: Super Bowls. They're just not known for winning Super Bowls.
- 10:27Speaker 3: I think it's for.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Right, and I think now, the way you phrase it,
- 10:31Speaker 2: the way you put it that way, it's almost like,
- 10:33Speaker 2: is the window closing for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills?
- 10:37Speaker 2: I think last year especially, Prior to last year, the
- 10:41Speaker 2: Achilles heels have been the Kansas City Chiefs. The Patrick
- 10:44Speaker 2: Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Then that was the year he should have won when
- 10:48Speaker 1: he wasn't there. Right.
- 10:49Speaker 2: He was not even in the fold. Like, he got
- 10:52Speaker 2: out of the playoffs. I think last year was the
- 10:54Speaker 2: best possible year for.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Them to win it. They did not.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Obviously, like I said, you got a new offensive coordinator,
- 11:00Speaker 2: new head coach. It's always... it's always new. You're not
- 11:05Speaker 2: expected to win it. So I don't know if this
- 11:07Speaker 2: is the year and I don't know if they have
- 11:10Speaker 2: enough pieces. But yeah, to your point, is he overrated?
- 11:13Speaker 2: Not just him. Justin Herbert is overrated as well. When
- 11:18Speaker 2: you think of just young quarterbacks and even Joe Burrows.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Joe Burrows, you can put him in that fold too
- 11:26Speaker 2: because there's a lot of expectations for him as a quarterback.
- 11:29Speaker 2: He got to the Super Bowl, I think, in his
- 11:31Speaker 2: I think, was it his second or third year? Actually
- 11:34Speaker 2: played the Rams. Haven't heard from Joe Burrow since either.
- 11:37Speaker 3: All right, while we're on the topic of quarterbacks, let's
- 11:40Speaker 3: talk about this next generation, this new generation.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, there's a lot of new. A lot of
- 11:44Speaker 1: black ones.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of young black quarterbacks.
- 11:47Speaker 3: What do you think about Caleb Fingernails Williams? I mean,
- 11:49Speaker 3: Caleb Williams.
- 11:50Speaker 2: And what are the other ones? Can we name them?
- 11:52Speaker 1: Caleb Williams. Yeah, Caleb. Jaden Daniels.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Jaden Daniels.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Jackson Dart. Giants. Cam Ward. Titans, and then, oh yeah,
- 12:02Speaker 1: Drake May, Patriots.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Who do you think is, of them, who do you
- 12:08Speaker 3: think is next in possibly being the new face of
- 12:12Speaker 3: the NFL?
- 12:13Speaker 2: You know, it's always going to be the typical quarterback
- 12:18Speaker 2: that they want to put in there. What does that mean, typical?
- 12:21Speaker 2: You know, you got to have your typical white quarterback,
- 12:24Speaker 2: face of the league. I mean, I don't know, that
- 12:27Speaker 2: would probably be either Drake May or Jackson Dart. Jackson Arsley,
- 12:32Speaker 2: he's a little sketchy with the Giants. I mean, there's
- 12:34Speaker 2: a lot of off-the-field stuff that's been going on with him.
- 12:37Speaker 2: You know, he seems like he's a Trump supporter. I
- 12:40Speaker 2: don't know how that's going to rub a lot of
- 12:43Speaker 2: people the wrong way, and then it may not. Caleb Williams,
- 12:48Speaker 2: you said Fingernail Williams. It reminds me of Dennis Rodman,
- 12:50Speaker 2: like a bad boy kind of guy. Jayden Daniels, too
- 12:59Speaker 2: early to tell, really. I think he made a splash
- 13:01Speaker 2: as rookie and then he got hurt last year. It's
- 13:04Speaker 2: almost like that sophomore jinx in a sense. So, yeah,
- 13:07Speaker 2: I mean, I think he has to rebound off his
- 13:11Speaker 2: rookie year. And then Cam Ward, I mean, it was
- 13:14Speaker 2: just a rough year. I mean, when you don't have
- 13:16Speaker 2: an offensive line and you're asked to do a lot
- 13:18Speaker 2: and you don't have a lot of weapons. And I
- 13:21Speaker 2: can't imagine what that's like to be a young quarterback
- 13:23Speaker 2: and you come from a winning program and you have
- 13:26Speaker 2: number one pick or top draft pick. And you look to,
- 13:30Speaker 2: to really change the, change the trajectory of a, of a,
- 13:33Speaker 2: of an organization. That's tough.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And then to go through. It's a lot of pressure. Yeah.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Just the ups and downs. I don't know if it's pressure.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Cause I think he can handle it. He's, he's a
- 13:41Speaker 2: Florida guy. I mean, he can handle the pressure, but
- 13:43Speaker 2: I think when you're used to winning and you put
- 13:45Speaker 2: in a situation and you're not, not having the pieces
- 13:49Speaker 2: around you to produce wins.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Cause the thing is not like guys are not going
- 13:53Speaker 1: to work hard.
- 13:54Speaker 2: That's, that's, I mean, with every team just going, just
- 13:56Speaker 2: thinking about the teams that I played with, we practiced hard.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Everybody did what they had to do in the offseason, hopefully,
- 14:05Speaker 2: to better themselves, to put themselves to help either the
- 14:08Speaker 2: offensive side of the ball, defensive side of the ball,
- 14:10Speaker 2: whatever position you play. But again, if it's not all
- 14:13Speaker 2: coming together, then it's tough. And you're looking for one
- 14:17Speaker 2: person to tip the scale. And the quarterback, him personally,
- 14:20Speaker 2: He's going to take the brunt of whatever it may be,
- 14:23Speaker 2: how the season unfolds, whether you win or lose, it's
- 14:27Speaker 2: going to be.
- 14:27Speaker 1: On his shoulders. And it's kind of unfair, right? Because, yes,
- 14:30Speaker 1: you've got to run hard. It's unfair, but that's what
- 14:33Speaker 1: you signed up for. I'm just saying, you work hard,
- 14:35Speaker 1: like you said, but you still have to have that personnel. Definitely.
- 14:39Speaker 2: You know what I mean? I mean, it's just like
- 14:40Speaker 2: you and I. I mean, you couldn't do what you
- 14:43Speaker 2: do without me.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I couldn't. You know what I mean? Listen, and I'm
- 14:46Speaker 1: so glad. And I couldn't do what I do without you.
- 14:48Speaker 3: That's why we're here. Get to the point with us two.
- 14:51Speaker 3: And it ain't Earthquake and Randy Moss. Right.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Exactly. You know what I mean?
- 14:56Speaker 2: There's a lot of chemistry and continuity.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yes. Camaraderie that has to be had.
- 15:01Speaker 2: And then, like I said, how you, honestly, like I said,
- 15:03Speaker 2: there's a lot of things that factor into, like, teams
- 15:06Speaker 2: really winning. And you hear that formula about really like
- 15:09Speaker 2: not only just being good teammates on the field, but
- 15:13Speaker 2: off the field as well. It's not like you got
- 15:14Speaker 2: to do any and everything, but they got to have.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Some, some, some, some continuous and some chemistry with each other.
- 15:20Speaker 3: I don't know if this is your favorite team or
- 15:23Speaker 3: least favorite team, but you're associated with this team in, in,
- 15:26Speaker 3: in several capacities.
- 15:28Speaker 1: The Dallas Cowboys.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Yes.
- 15:30Speaker 1: You got your little helmet up there.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Them's your little friends.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:34Speaker 1: In front of me. Yeah, yeah. What about the Cowboys?
- 15:37Speaker 3: Here we are again, the beginning of the season, and
- 15:41Speaker 3: this is our year.
- 15:43Speaker 1: That press conference. America's team. Yeah. Are they legitimate contenders
- 15:48Speaker 1: this year?
- 15:50Speaker 3: No.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Why would they? Just because they're the Dallas Cowboys and
- 15:54Speaker 2: everybody always says it. I mean, ESPN always run this
- 15:57Speaker 2: thing about they always have the Dallas Cowboys.
- 16:00Speaker 1: In their rundown.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Listen, they start off always very well.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's not how you start, it's how you finish.
- 16:09Speaker 1: So what do you think happens? Obviously, injuries plays a
- 16:13Speaker 1: big part in it.
- 16:15Speaker 2: And then again, at certain positions, when it comes to
- 16:18Speaker 2: the playoff, they just don't have those players at that
- 16:22Speaker 2: position to really just, like I said, tip the scale.
- 16:25Speaker 2: They need playmakers. I think offensively, they've shored up. When
- 16:30Speaker 2: you think about CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens. Pickens is, to
- 16:33Speaker 2: me personally, I think he's a better receiver than CeeDee Lamb.
- 16:37Speaker 2: That's me personally. I think his catch radius is better
- 16:41Speaker 2: than CeeDee Lamb's. They obviously do a lot of things great,
- 16:43Speaker 2: but when you think about what George Pickens can do,
- 16:47Speaker 2: look at what he did in Pittsburgh. I knew that
- 16:51Speaker 2: he was going to come in and be a great
- 16:54Speaker 2: viable option for Dak. That's why he got paid the
- 16:57Speaker 2: money that he got paid. He put up the numbers.
- 17:00Speaker 2: I think there's a lot of things he probably need
- 17:01Speaker 2: to shore up with his route running, things of that nature.
- 17:03Speaker 2: But when you put that ball up anywhere in his vicinity,
- 17:06Speaker 2: his catch rate, he's going to come down with it.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I've heard this. Is the Dallas Cowboys problem a Jerry Jones?
- 17:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a management problem. And I think when you
- 17:17Speaker 2: start from the top, it trickles all the way down.
- 17:20Speaker 2: And then, again, you can have all the talent in
- 17:22Speaker 2: the world, but if it's not managed the right way,
- 17:25Speaker 2: if it's not delegated the right way, then– things are
- 17:28Speaker 2: going to fall through the cracks at some point. And
- 17:30Speaker 2: that's why there's always this expectation. And people have been
- 17:33Speaker 2: saying it for years. It's funny, but Jerry is not
- 17:36Speaker 2: all about winning. He's all about winning the bottom line,
- 17:39Speaker 2: and that's revenue. As long as he's generating money, he
- 17:43Speaker 2: has all these fans, he has them duped. Because every
- 17:46Speaker 2: year he sells them. Jerry's a great salesman.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Yes. You saw the documentary?
- 17:52Speaker 2: No, I don't have any desire to. I don't even
- 17:56Speaker 2: know why they call it the Dallas Cowboys documentary.
- 17:57Speaker 3: It should have been the Jerry Jones documentary.
- 18:00Speaker 2: He's a great salesman. He's done great PR for that organization.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Why do you think every year that the Dallas Cowboys
- 18:08Speaker 2: fans think that they're going to win it? Every year
- 18:11Speaker 2: since I before and when I was there and since
- 18:14Speaker 2: I left, they have had this expectation that they're going
- 18:17Speaker 2: to win the Super Bowl every year. The three years
- 18:21Speaker 2: that I was there, I would say at least one
- 18:23Speaker 2: or two of those years, we should have gone to
- 18:26Speaker 2: the Super Bowl.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I would have to say the ball was in Tony
- 18:29Speaker 2: Romo's hands two of those years.
- 18:31Speaker 1: And he fumbled. Look, I'm just telling you, that's what happened.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Why are they considered America's team? Who gave them that name?
- 18:39Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, it's a great PR. It's incredible.
- 18:42Speaker 1: It's incredible. I mean, they've been.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Known to be that ever since I've been in the league.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Before I leave, I didn't really watch a lot of
- 18:50Speaker 2: football prior to playing pro football. But, I mean, once
- 18:53Speaker 2: I got into the league, you start to hear the stories.
- 18:56Speaker 2: You hear, you know, when they were at Dallas Stadium,
- 18:58Speaker 2: when they had the hole in the stadium that God
- 19:00Speaker 2: looked down. The reason the hole was in the stadium
- 19:02Speaker 2: was so God could look down on America's team. You know, so, again,
- 19:06Speaker 2: all these things. They got the star on the side
- 19:07Speaker 2: of the helmet. It's just so much nostalgia behind it.
- 19:12Speaker 1: What are the fans like in Dallas?
- 19:14Speaker 2: Oh, they're passionate. Oh, they're diehard. I think, again, that's why,
- 19:18Speaker 2: I mean, they're an American team because they have so
- 19:22Speaker 2: many fans. They have a huge Hispanic fan base.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Huge.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Everywhere that we went on the road, I mean, you
- 19:30Speaker 2: would think we're at home. That's how many Cowboy fans
- 19:33Speaker 2: there were.
- 19:34Speaker 1: And how would the, like, when you guys would lose,
- 19:37Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like, how would they react
- 19:38Speaker 1: when you would lose? I don't know if they have
- 19:40Speaker 1: a Ralph's, but you'd be at the grocery store. Well,
- 19:43Speaker 1: I wasn't going to. I was going straight home. I
- 19:45Speaker 1: wasn't going to any grocery stores after games. There he
- 19:49Speaker 1: is right there.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 19:50Speaker 1: You dropped that ball. You should have caught that ball. Oh, man. Oh, yeah, man.
- 19:54Speaker 1: It's not your fault.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I mean, yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, like I said, I remember my first year.
- 20:00Speaker 1: In Dallas? In Dallas. And then driving up to the stadium.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I need pictures. What kind of cards you have?
- 20:07Speaker 2: I had the limited edition Range Rover. It was like
- 20:12Speaker 2: a sunburst orange Range Rover. It was like a limited edition.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I've never seen that color.
- 20:17Speaker 2: It was dope.
- 20:18Speaker 1: It was dope. It was nice.
- 20:19Speaker 2: But everybody knew that was me.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It was like, it was only a few of them
- 20:22Speaker 1: that I had like one of them.
- 20:23Speaker 2: So obviously just drive up to the stadium, like bro,
- 20:26Speaker 2: like game day, it's just, it's like no other, man.
- 20:30Speaker 2: It's like really driving up, especially I was like one
- 20:33Speaker 2: of the top guys on the team.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Sure.
- 20:35Speaker 2: And it's like, you get out of the car and like,
- 20:37Speaker 2: you feel like a rock star, bro. Like literally, I mean,
- 20:41Speaker 2: you feel like on cloud nine, you ready to run routes.
- 20:43Speaker 1: You ready to run routes, bro. You're not even dressed yet. Right,
- 20:47Speaker 1: you ready to run routes as soon.
- 20:48Speaker 2: As you step out of the car. But honestly, the
- 20:50Speaker 2: fans are phenomenal. The best fans that I think between,
- 20:54Speaker 2: everybody was asking me, what's the best fan base?
- 20:57Speaker 1: I would have to say between Philly and Dallas, but Philly, Dallas.
- 21:02Speaker 3: They know if you're losing Philly, you ain't going out.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, boy.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Even if it's an ugly win, you can win and
- 21:11Speaker 2: it's ugly. They're still upset because of the expectations. But, yeah,
- 21:15Speaker 2: I mean, it's, you know, both fan bases are really great.
- 21:18Speaker 3: You got to give me one good locker room story.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Give me one strip club story. Give me some kind
- 21:24Speaker 3: of cowgirl story.
- 21:27Speaker 1: No, that's the thing.
- 21:27Speaker 2: It's like I heard all the stories, like, you know,
- 21:30Speaker 2: The White House about, you know, Michael Irvin and the
- 21:32Speaker 2: White House, like being at practice, like when everybody would
- 21:35Speaker 2: have those stories about it. And then literally you could
- 21:38Speaker 2: like where our facility was at that point in time
- 21:40Speaker 2: was in Irvin, Texas. Like you see some trees and
- 21:42Speaker 2: then like through the tree, like you would see the roof.
- 21:44Speaker 2: You could see the roof of the White House, like right.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Like that's what was going. It was going down at
- 21:49Speaker 2: the White House building. basically around the corner. They talked
- 21:53Speaker 2: about it in the doc. Yeah, so I don't really
- 21:55Speaker 2: have any of those stories. I was so focused on
- 21:58Speaker 2: really trying to just be the best receiver that I
- 22:00Speaker 2: could be. I knew that there were so many great
- 22:03Speaker 2: receivers that came through that locker room, obviously named Michael Irvin,
- 22:09Speaker 2: Drew Pearson, all these receiver legends or what have you.
- 22:14Speaker 1: So you wanted to make sure. Yeah, I just wanted
- 22:15Speaker 1: to be on point.
- 22:16Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 22:17Speaker 1: Because I came there from Philly. You know what I mean?
- 22:19Speaker 2: There was a rivalry between the Philly Eagles and the Cowboys.
- 22:22Speaker 2: So when I was with the Eagles and I came, bro,
- 22:25Speaker 2: I put in work.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I gave them the business.
- 22:28Speaker 2: So then it's like, you know, they remember me, obviously,
- 22:30Speaker 2: a few years prior to me being in San Francisco,
- 22:32Speaker 2: standing on the star.
- 22:33Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 22:34Speaker 2: So I used to torch them, and then I come out.
- 22:37Speaker 2: they knew what I did against them. So to be
- 22:40Speaker 2: added to the team, they knew what time it was.
- 22:42Speaker 1: So it was all, it was.
- 22:43Speaker 2: All love when I was, Oh, that's good. But when
- 22:45Speaker 2: I was, when I wasn't, Oh, they gave me, Oh,
- 22:48Speaker 2: they gave me an earful. But I mean, I just
- 22:50Speaker 2: tried to have fun with the game. Like obviously with my,
- 22:52Speaker 2: my touchdown celebrations, um, Yeah, you had.
- 22:55Speaker 1: The funniest and funnest dances. Man, I mean, I did.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Did you know what you were going to do? If
- 23:01Speaker 3: I score, I'm a cabbage patch. If I do this,
- 23:03Speaker 3: I'm going to run.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yeah, some were premeditated, and then some, sometimes I didn't
- 23:07Speaker 2: really think about it that week, but then maybe some
- 23:10Speaker 2: hours or the day of before the game or I'm
- 23:13Speaker 2: driving to the stadium, I would think about, depending on
- 23:15Speaker 2: what was going on, I would think about something that
- 23:17Speaker 2: I would do. And I was so in tune with
- 23:21Speaker 2: our game plan that, Like, I knew there were games
- 23:23Speaker 2: that I knew I was going to score one or
- 23:26Speaker 2: two touchdowns or three touchdowns. Like, I would tell my friends, like, yo,
- 23:29Speaker 2: I should have scored, like, two touchdowns this game.
- 23:31Speaker 1: At least two. Like, that should be, like, three, four.
- 23:34Speaker 2: But I knew going into the game, like, how many
- 23:36Speaker 2: touchdowns I would score. I think that's, honestly, that's why
- 23:39Speaker 2: I was, like, when I finished and I was Hall
- 23:42Speaker 2: of Fame, I was, like, second, third, fourth, whatever it
- 23:44Speaker 2: was on the touchdown list because I knew I was
- 23:47Speaker 2: so in tune with the game plan. And then, like
- 23:49Speaker 2: I said, I just wanted to I wanted to spend,
- 23:51Speaker 2: everybody compared me, not really compared me. They was like, oh,
- 23:54Speaker 2: I could be the next Jerry Rice. But I knew
- 23:56Speaker 2: I couldn't be him. But then, like I said, I
- 23:58Speaker 2: started scoring touchdowns and then I started celebrating. All because
- 24:03Speaker 2: of my mom in high school. She didn't really know
- 24:05Speaker 2: what I was doing. She never knew what number I
- 24:08Speaker 2: was or whatever. So that was the premise around me
- 24:10Speaker 2: doing a lot of the touchdowns at the celebration. Because
- 24:12Speaker 2: I knew playing in a prime market like San Francisco,
- 24:15Speaker 2: I knew it was going to be on TV. I
- 24:18Speaker 2: knew that the camera was going to be on me.
- 24:19Speaker 2: So I scored and then I celebrated. So the popcorn
- 24:22Speaker 2: thing was probably the most impromptu thing that I did
- 24:26Speaker 2: when I.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Scored the touchdown. No, the cheerleaders had to be.
- 24:29Speaker 2: That was in San Fran, but when I was in Dallas,
- 24:33Speaker 2: that was probably the most impromptu thing that I did
- 24:36Speaker 2: because when I scored the touchdown, And I saw the
- 24:39Speaker 2: fans back there and I saw the guy with the glasses.
- 24:43Speaker 2: He had a thing of popcorn and I just grabbed
- 24:46Speaker 2: it and then I just put it in my face.
- 24:48Speaker 2: And then that became like an iconic photo or what
- 24:52Speaker 2: have you.
- 24:52Speaker 1: But, man, I just tried to have fun with the game.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Let's go back. You said you knew you couldn't be
- 24:57Speaker 1: Jerry Rice. How could you say that? I couldn't.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Not at that stage of my career early on. What
- 25:03Speaker 2: was it about him? Our route running, my route running
- 25:06Speaker 2: was terrible. There was a lot of things, the knowledge
- 25:08Speaker 2: of the game. I didn't really understand and know how
- 25:10Speaker 2: to really read defenses. Coming from a small school, and
- 25:13Speaker 2: that's no knock to them. It was just like I
- 25:18Speaker 2: didn't really put a lot of emphasis on really like studying.
- 25:23Speaker 1: You were winning on your athletic ability. Right.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I was about to say that.
- 25:25Speaker 1: And your size.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I was just being athletic and just playing off
- 25:28Speaker 2: my athleticism. Yeah, you know the staple. Coverage is like
- 25:32Speaker 2: cover one cover two, right? But then when defense defensive
- 25:36Speaker 2: coordinator started like double teaming me and started creating all
- 25:39Speaker 2: these exotic Coverage, especially when I was in San Fran,
- 25:43Speaker 2: you know, you got cover 44 cover 66 all these
- 25:46Speaker 2: things I had no idea but I had to stay
- 25:48Speaker 2: after practice because it became confusing then you have to
- 25:52Speaker 2: understand hot reads and you know all these different Blitzes
- 25:55Speaker 2: and knowing when people are blitzing rolling the coverages, bro.
- 25:59Speaker 2: It was a overwhelming and so I knew that in
- 26:02Speaker 2: order for me to be able to play well then
- 26:04Speaker 2: I had to know what I was doing because if
- 26:06Speaker 2: I'm out there half-assed and I'm just I'm thinking and
- 26:09Speaker 2: I don't know I know 50 or 60 percent of
- 26:12Speaker 2: what I'm supposed to do going to the line of
- 26:13Speaker 2: scrimmage I'm not going to know it when the ball
- 26:16Speaker 2: snaps so I'm going to be out there running thinking
- 26:19Speaker 2: trying to figure out like what am I supposed to
- 26:20Speaker 2: do am I reading what is the safety doing what
- 26:22Speaker 2: is the corner doing what is the linebackers doing so
- 26:25Speaker 2: I had to really just hone down on my skill
- 26:26Speaker 2: set and like y'all really learn this because if I
- 26:28Speaker 2: knew exactly what I'm doing. And then I put myself,
- 26:32Speaker 2: my body in position from a nutrition standpoint, just rep standpoint,
- 26:37Speaker 2: just learning how to run routes. Bro, it was lights out.
- 26:41Speaker 2: It was game over. So I knew then I couldn't
- 26:44Speaker 2: be Jerry Rice. We had two different body types. Jerry's slender, finesse.
- 26:53Speaker 2: He's not the physical body that I have or whatever.
- 26:56Speaker 2: So I use those things to my advantage when needed.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Jerry was just, bro, he was just a technician. Like,
- 27:03Speaker 2: I mean, however you drew it on the paper, he
- 27:07Speaker 2: would run it just like that. I mean, what have
- 27:10Speaker 2: you lost? Like, bro, I saw him have DBs lost,
- 27:15Speaker 2: turned around. He's this way. The defender's the total opposite way, bro.
- 27:20Speaker 2: And it's like, yo, how does he do this? And
- 27:23Speaker 2: so I watched JJ.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Too, who was top. You know we went to school together.
- 27:26Speaker 1: JJ Stokes?
- 27:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:28Speaker 1: And obviously he went to UCLA.
- 27:29Speaker 2: So yeah, so he was their draft pick and number
- 27:32Speaker 2: one draft pick in like 95 the year before I
- 27:35Speaker 2: came out. So they was looking at him to become,
- 27:38Speaker 2: be the next Jerry Rice. Right.
- 27:39Speaker 1: So I come in. He had great skills. He had
- 27:42Speaker 1: the height. Oh my God. Right.
- 27:43Speaker 2: So for him to, me to watch him, his height,
- 27:46Speaker 2: drop his weight, transition out.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Best to learn from. Yes.
- 27:50Speaker 2: So I would have been a fool not to take
- 27:52Speaker 2: advantage of that. And I obviously, I had two great
- 27:54Speaker 2: coaches and Larry Kirksey, who coached, Brent Jones, like the receiver,
- 28:01Speaker 2: like Brent Jones, the tight end, but Jerry Rice, John Taylor,
- 28:07Speaker 2: Mike Sherrard. These are some like the top.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Another Bruin. That's what I'm saying.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Yeah. So all these are like really good receivers, 49er receivers.
- 28:14Speaker 2: And then obviously you add JJ in the fold. Like,
- 28:16Speaker 2: so I had obviously JJ and Jerry to learn from.
- 28:20Speaker 2: And I watched so much film. to become the receiver
- 28:23Speaker 2: that I became. So that's why I said like, yeah,
- 28:25Speaker 2: I didn't think that I could be who he was.
- 28:28Speaker 2: And I couldn't. So I had to put that in
- 28:30Speaker 2: my head. Like, you can't be him, but I can
- 28:32Speaker 2: be a version of him. And so here T.O. came
- 28:37Speaker 2: into the fold.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Can I tell you a funny Mike Sherrard story?
- 28:39Speaker 3: Yeah. So I think Mike Sherrard, call me and tell
- 28:44Speaker 3: me if I'm wrong, but he got clocked and timed
- 28:48Speaker 3: at like a 4-2 or something that wasn't him.
- 28:52Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I said, how'd you do that? He said, I think
- 28:55Speaker 1: this is his story. He said, when he wasn't looking,
- 28:58Speaker 1: he scooted up a little bit. No way. Scoot up
- 29:02Speaker 1: a little bit. He was a little bit further.
- 29:04Speaker 3: He ran a 4'2, 37-yard dash.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Now they have people at the line.
- 29:08Speaker 3: That's probably why they have guys at the line.
- 29:12Speaker 1: He ran a 37-yard dash. Great receiver. That's crazy. Let's
- 29:16Speaker 1: talk about some of these receivers today. Yeah. Top receivers.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Is there somebody that's T.O.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Like?
- 29:23Speaker 1: Like a Jamar Chase? You like him? Who else? Give
- 29:26Speaker 1: me some names. Okay, so Jackson Smith and Jigba.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Right.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Amon Ross, St. Brown. Okay, we had him on the
- 29:32Speaker 1: podcast before. There's some crazy names. Puka. Puka, Nakua, the Rams.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 29:38Speaker 1: So what do you think about them guys?
- 29:40Speaker 2: None of those guys, I would say, fit the mold
- 29:43Speaker 2: of being, I would say, a T.O.
- 29:49Speaker 1: I think.
- 29:50Speaker 2: You know who T.O.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Is, right?
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I kind of know that guy. I've
- 29:55Speaker 2: heard of him. I know the initials, T.O. I've heard him.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Keep talking. I'm going to tell you something.
- 30:00Speaker 2: But let me say, I mean, of all the guys
- 30:02Speaker 2: I think people have asked me, like, who reminds me
- 30:05Speaker 2: of me, what receivers, one doesn't even play. But I
- 30:09Speaker 2: think when you look at the two current guys that
- 30:11Speaker 2: are playing now, I would have to say, build-wise, it
- 30:14Speaker 2: would be D.K. Metcalf and A.J.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Brown.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Obviously, D.K. Metcalf, like I said, I think he's still trending.
- 30:21Speaker 1: He's huge.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Huge.
- 30:23Speaker 1: He's never that big, right?
- 30:24Speaker 2: No, not that big. They're like in a two, I
- 30:27Speaker 2: think 240 range, 235, 240 range. I weighed no more
- 30:32Speaker 2: than 222. Not one, like every time I got on
- 30:35Speaker 2: the scale, it was crazy. Any day of the week
- 30:38Speaker 2: during the course of the season, and we, well, the
- 30:41Speaker 2: Philadelphia Eagles, they had.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Like a weigh-in.
- 30:43Speaker 2: I got on the scale, literally, it could be like
- 30:45Speaker 2: a Monday of week two, a Thursday on week 12,
- 30:51Speaker 2: and I got on the scale, I was 222.
- 30:52Speaker 3: I put it in chat with GPT.
- 30:56Speaker 1: What is chat GPT? They said no one. Well, there
- 30:59Speaker 1: you have it. They said no one.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I am, I mean, I know people say this, throw
- 31:04Speaker 2: this in at one of one, I am one of one.
- 31:09Speaker 1: You've said it in some other segments.
- 31:11Speaker 2: I'm just different. I was a bit different. I think
- 31:14Speaker 2: I didn't have the catch radius as some of these guys.
- 31:19Speaker 2: I would even agree that I didn't have probably the
- 31:22Speaker 2: consistency of hands.
- 31:24Speaker 1: But when I did get my hands on the ball, oh,
- 31:26Speaker 1: it was trouble.
- 31:28Speaker 2: I was a lot to deal with.
- 31:29Speaker 1: And what's funny is... Your 40 time wasn't like fast.
- 31:33Speaker 1: It wasn't blazing. I got faster as I- You had
- 31:36Speaker 1: game time speed.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Yeah. There's 40 speed and then there's game time speed.
- 31:40Speaker 2: And I try to tell people and people are like, oh,
- 31:42Speaker 2: I can run. It's even like my son. My son
- 31:44Speaker 2: is faster than I am. And sometimes you get enamored.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Faster than you are now? Or you think he's faster
- 31:51Speaker 1: than you were at his age? Oh, yeah.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Yeah, his age.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Like that? Yeah.
- 31:54Speaker 2: No, no, for sure. No, no, for sure. I've raced him.
- 31:59Speaker 2: He got some jets. But I try to tell him like, yo,
- 32:02Speaker 2: it's not just speed. That's part of the game. If
- 32:05Speaker 2: that's the case, it'll be a lot of track players
- 32:07Speaker 2: playing football. Those guys are blazing. But there's a lot
- 32:11Speaker 2: that goes into playing football other than speed. You know
- 32:15Speaker 2: what I mean? It's route running. It's obviously knowledge of
- 32:18Speaker 2: the game. It's experience. All these things that you possess,
- 32:22Speaker 2: especially as a receiver, your catch radius, contested catches, all
- 32:26Speaker 2: those things, like I said, that makes you an elite receiver.
- 32:31Speaker 2: You need all those things. You got to be something
- 32:33Speaker 2: unique and canny about you to at least have you
- 32:36Speaker 2: on the field in the rotation.
- 32:39Speaker 1: There's some great cats playing wide receiver right now. Oh, man.
- 32:41Speaker 1: There's a lot of young guys. Yes. Justin Jefferson. Yep.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Jamar Chase. Jamar Chase. Jackson Smith. Njugba. Njugba, yeah. Hope
- 32:49Speaker 1: I said your name right. Puka Nakua.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Yes.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Man, I mean, obviously me playing receiver for the years
- 32:56Speaker 2: that I did, obviously I I see highlights.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I see the snippets. I know what these guys are doing.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Who out there you like?
- 33:05Speaker 2: Production-wise, I mean, out of all those guys, Puka. Puka's
- 33:09Speaker 2: putting up numbers. And I think, obviously, you saw last year,
- 33:14Speaker 2: injuries start to kind of play a part in him
- 33:17Speaker 2: not being on the field. And that's important. I think
- 33:21Speaker 2: the best ability is availability. That's a T-shirt. especially going
- 33:27Speaker 2: into the playoffs. I mean, that's not the first time
- 33:29Speaker 2: I've said it or anybody else has said it, but
- 33:31Speaker 2: I mean, that's just the nature of the game.
- 33:33Speaker 1: And I think when you, especially going.
- 33:35Speaker 2: To the latter parts of the season, you're going to
- 33:38Speaker 2: hear a lot of teams and a lot of reporters,
- 33:40Speaker 2: media talk about like the war of attrition. It's like,
- 33:43Speaker 2: who's the healthiest at the end of the year? Those
- 33:45Speaker 2: are the teams that are going to be primed and
- 33:48Speaker 2: poised and ready to win the Super Bowl. And I mean,
- 33:51Speaker 2: Even we talked about the Los Angeles Rams with Miles
- 33:54Speaker 2: Garrett and Aaron Donald, like, holding it down. Like, on paper,
- 33:58Speaker 2: it looks good. But will they be healthy enough? Will
- 34:01Speaker 2: they be on the roster? Will they be able to
- 34:03Speaker 2: be able to put themselves and be on the field
- 34:06Speaker 2: at the end of the year?
- 34:07Speaker 3: So, yo, this is our NFL preview shows, and we
- 34:10Speaker 3: got games coming up next week. T.O., I want to
- 34:12Speaker 3: know some of your predictions.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Okay.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I like this. I like this. I like this. You're
- 34:18Speaker 2: in my territory now.
- 34:19Speaker 1: There we go. What we got? What we got? All right. Wednesday,
- 34:22Speaker 1: September 9th, we got the Patriots and the Seahawks. Patriots, Seahawks.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Oh, we hopefully the Seahawks don't have like a Super
- 34:31Speaker 2: Bowl hangover.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I'm going to go.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I'm going to go with Seahawks on this one. Obviously,
- 34:35Speaker 2: you got the Patriots got they got. The guy that
- 34:38Speaker 2: they said resembles me a little bit, A.J. Brown, Drake May.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Last year, injury. He didn't finish the season. A fluke injury.
- 34:47Speaker 2: The game before, I think, the Super Bowl. Was it
- 34:51Speaker 2: the playoff, right? The game right before the Super Bowl
- 34:53Speaker 2: or whatever? They played with a backup quarter, basically. But
- 34:56Speaker 2: I think if they would have had Drake May, they
- 34:58Speaker 2: would have had a shot to win it. But, yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 2: I'm going to go with the Seahawks on this one.
- 35:04Speaker 1: All right. September 10th? We got the 49ers and the Rams. 49ers, Rams.
- 35:10Speaker 2: I'm going to go Rams on this one. 49ers, they've
- 35:13Speaker 2: had a lot of problems in offseason. I mean, they've
- 35:15Speaker 2: had a lot of media coverage, all for the wrong reasons.
- 35:19Speaker 3: So you're not one of those people who pick a
- 35:21Speaker 3: team that you're from the city or you played for
- 35:24Speaker 3: the team?
- 35:26Speaker 1: Nah, I don't do that.
- 35:27Speaker 2: I look at it and I evaluate wins and losses
- 35:32Speaker 2: based on from a player perspective, knowing you know, what
- 35:37Speaker 2: goes into the week of preparation. My point of view
- 35:41Speaker 2: as far as like who's on the team, what's available,
- 35:43Speaker 2: like what they've done, what they can do.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Sometimes momentum.
- 35:48Speaker 2: I'm not like a lot of these women out here
- 35:50Speaker 2: that are, you know, they're out here picking teams because
- 35:54Speaker 2: of colors.
- 35:56Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 35:57Speaker 2: Well, they got cheerleaders that are, you know, got nice
- 36:00Speaker 2: uniforms and stuff like that.
- 36:02Speaker 1: No.
- 36:02Speaker 2: And then there's a lot of friends that I have
- 36:04Speaker 2: that are fanatics.
- 36:06Speaker 1: They bet. No matter what.
- 36:07Speaker 2: And they choose teams based on loyalty.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Right.
- 36:10Speaker 2: And like, if that's the case, I mean, I could
- 36:12Speaker 2: do that too, but I'm a realist about really kind
- 36:15Speaker 2: of like momentum and really kind of like the matchups.
- 36:18Speaker 1: And then I got to watch a few games.
- 36:21Speaker 2: I got to at least see what they're doing before
- 36:23Speaker 2: I actually like, okay, know for sure that this team
- 36:26Speaker 2: is going to win. A lot of things factor into it. Like, obviously,
- 36:29Speaker 2: everybody's going to be healthy at the beginning of the year.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Sure.
- 36:31Speaker 2: But it relates to like from the beginning of the season,
- 36:34Speaker 2: I'm going with like, Just banking all guys are healthy,
- 36:39Speaker 2: going into what they did last year. And then, like
- 36:42Speaker 2: I said, what kind of moves they made during the offseason.
- 36:45Speaker 2: And Rams, obviously, they made some huge moves offseason. Then,
- 36:49Speaker 2: I mean, look at Aaron Donald coming back to show
- 36:52Speaker 2: up that defense. Let me tell you something. A lot
- 36:54Speaker 2: of those offensive linemen, they did not want to see that.
- 37:01Speaker 2: And then, again, sometimes location plays a big part in it, too.
- 37:04Speaker 2: They're playing, I think, in Australia. So sometimes travel. It's
- 37:08Speaker 2: like what team travels the longest? You know what I mean?
- 37:11Speaker 1: All those things.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Jet lag. It would be who of those guys would be,
- 37:16Speaker 2: you know, hydrate because, you know, dehydration happens, especially long flights.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Make sure they're hydrating and then getting a lot of rest.
- 37:23Speaker 2: But I think, you know, Aaron Donald is going to
- 37:26Speaker 2: be fired up because everybody, the whole team, Los Angeles
- 37:30Speaker 2: fan base is going to be fired up that he's
- 37:32Speaker 2: coming back. But I think that's equivalent to like me
- 37:35Speaker 2: coming back for the Super Bowl. Like, you know, Michael
- 37:38Speaker 2: Jordan coming back.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Willis Reed. Yeah, like, you know what I mean? It's
- 37:42Speaker 1: going to charge up the fan base. Yeah, it's going
- 37:44Speaker 1: to charge. And then I'm telling you.
- 37:46Speaker 2: And then I don't know what the odds are with the,
- 37:48Speaker 2: you know, these betting gambling sites.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I'm sure it went up when he got, you know,
- 37:54Speaker 2: when he got added back.
- 37:55Speaker 1: To the roster. So, yeah. Okay. The 13th, we got
- 37:58Speaker 1: the Texans. And the Bills.
- 38:00Speaker 2: I'm going to go Bills. I'm going to go Bills.
- 38:04Speaker 1: C.J.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Stroud, I mean, he's been up and down. I just
- 38:08Speaker 2: haven't seen a lot of consistency in his play.
- 38:10Speaker 1: And I love C.J.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I know him personally. I live in Houston, too, so
- 38:14Speaker 2: I know that fan base. And I think they would
- 38:16Speaker 2: agree with my sentiment. Like, yo, there hasn't been enough
- 38:19Speaker 2: consistency with him. And then he's had a lot of
- 38:22Speaker 2: injuries with his receiver, tank. So, yeah, I got to
- 38:26Speaker 2: see how it unfolds. But As far as the pick is,
- 38:29Speaker 2: I'm going with the Buffalo Bills. I mean, they have
- 38:30Speaker 2: a lot to prove this year. And, yeah, especially Josh Allen.
- 38:34Speaker 1: And that second game Sunday is going to be Giants. Okay,
- 38:37Speaker 1: they got OBJ back.
- 38:39Speaker 2: They got Jackson.
- 38:40Speaker 1: And the Cowboys.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Jackson, Trump, Dart. Yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 38:48Speaker 2: I'm going to go with the– I'm going to go– ooh.
- 38:53Speaker 2: I'm going to go Cowboys with this one.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Okay. I think they're going to come out.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Guns blazing. I think they shored up. They got the
- 39:01Speaker 2: contractual stuff in the rearview mirror. Everybody's got their money.
- 39:08Speaker 2: They're paid.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Again, CeeDee Lamb, obviously, he didn't really finish the year
- 39:13Speaker 1: like he wanted to.
- 39:14Speaker 2: He had some injuries. Obviously, Piggins got paid, so he's
- 39:19Speaker 2: ready to go. Dak already got paid like all the
- 39:22Speaker 2: stuff that he had going on that's in the back
- 39:24Speaker 2: He got a prenup, you know, all that stuff.
- 39:26Speaker 1: He's in the rearview mirror, all those things.
- 39:29Speaker 2: So I think they're strictly focused on football. But, of course,
- 39:32Speaker 2: every week any pick that comes up against a Cowboy,
- 39:36Speaker 2: they'll be 17-0 if you ask any Cowboy fans.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Of course. But I'm going to give them 1-0.
- 39:41Speaker 2: I'm going to go 1-0 Cowboys this week. Pick of
- 39:44Speaker 2: the week is the– what is it? Pick of the
- 39:46Speaker 2: week is– Monday.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Night Football game. It's going to be Broncos versus the Chiefs. Okay, yeah.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Monday Night Football, everybody's watching. Man, everybody's watching Monday Night Football.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Because they want to see Mahomes. What he can do
- 39:57Speaker 2: after this injury, right? Stevie Wonder's watching Monday Night Football.
- 40:00Speaker 1: So, yeah.
- 40:01Speaker 2: So, this is going to be a showdown. Chiefs, Broncos.
- 40:07Speaker 2: I'm going to tip the scale. I'm going to go
- 40:11Speaker 2: Chiefs on this one. Why is that? Number one, I– Experience,
- 40:16Speaker 2: they're Super Bowl champions. They know how to win. They
- 40:19Speaker 2: have the ingredients, the nucleus of players to win. They
- 40:23Speaker 2: got Patrick Mahomes. Even though he's coming off that injury,
- 40:28Speaker 2: I think he's at a percent to where I know
- 40:32Speaker 2: with the game plan, they're going to try to strike early,
- 40:36Speaker 2: get the run game going, and they're going to get
- 40:38Speaker 2: that ball out of his hand. They want to keep
- 40:40Speaker 2: him healthy, want to keep him upright. So they're going
- 40:43Speaker 2: to have some plays dialed up to where they can
- 40:44Speaker 2: get that ball out of his hand.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Obviously, Travis Kelsey, he's married.
- 40:49Speaker 2: He's married now.
- 40:51Speaker 1: There's no pressure, no stress, none of that. Or there's
- 40:54Speaker 1: more pressure and more stress. No, I don't know. I
- 40:57Speaker 1: don't know.
- 40:57Speaker 2: I think, yeah, I mean, I'm sure he's consummated that marriage.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Taylor Swift, you know, the Swifties are going to be
- 41:04Speaker 2: in full effect, as they all have been the last
- 41:08Speaker 2: few years that she's been with the Chiefs and Travis. So, yeah,
- 41:12Speaker 2: like I said— Those are my reasons why. What was
- 41:15Speaker 2: she doing at the Knicks championship? Anyway.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah, we've been talking a lot of football, but,
- 41:21Speaker 1: I mean, there's a lot that comes with football.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Not just games, right? There's a lot of good. Especially
- 41:27Speaker 2: this week. Yeah, there's some good, bad, and ugly. Yes.
- 41:31Speaker 1: And, yeah, we— Let's talk about your former team, 49ers. Boy,
- 41:35Speaker 1: you read my mind.
- 41:36Speaker 2: We got to talk about— I mean, they've had— A lot
- 41:40Speaker 2: going on this offseason for all the wrong reasons.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Jed York.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Not even just Jed. Kyle Shanahan, he had a wreck.
- 41:49Speaker 2: They tried to kind of sweep it under the rug.
- 41:50Speaker 2: They kept it under wraps for about a week. Obviously,
- 41:54Speaker 2: you talk about the rash of injuries that they've had
- 41:56Speaker 2: since the last two or three years. You got Deebo
- 42:00Speaker 2: coming back.
- 42:00Speaker 1: You got the... I want to talk about Jed York,
- 42:02Speaker 1: damn it. I know that's your little buddy. You see
- 42:06Speaker 1: how I'm trying to skirt off? I'm not really trying
- 42:09Speaker 1: to talk about... I know that's your friend.
- 42:10Speaker 3: You got his phone number and you called him and said,
- 42:12Speaker 3: I hope everything is okay.
- 42:14Speaker 1: And then Dajun Love, he's been... A lot of more
- 42:17Speaker 1: 49er unwanted things.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Chad York was in trouble for soliciting prostitution.
- 42:26Speaker 1: At a truck stop. Is that where the best hookers are,
- 42:31Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen? Is that where you go to get
- 42:33Speaker 1: you a.
- 42:33Speaker 2: I mean, out of all people, I would.
- 42:35Speaker 1: And all the money he's got.
- 42:37Speaker 2: I would have never expected. What's going on with these owners?
- 42:40Speaker 2: It was Robert Kraft.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Yes. But he went to a nice, respectable massage parlor.
- 42:47Speaker 3: You're saying Judd. Judd is at.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Judd. You said Judd. Judd. He sounds like a Judd.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Only Judds go to a trailer park or a truck stop.
- 42:58Speaker 1: To get hookers.
- 42:59Speaker 2: So you're saying Robert... They have a name for them.
- 43:01Speaker 2: They're like called some kind of rats. Robert tried to
- 43:02Speaker 2: be classy and Jed tried to... He's just straight gutter
- 43:05Speaker 2: with it.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Just gutter with it. Gutter with it. I ain't going
- 43:07Speaker 1: to say ghetto. What could be ghetto? Listen.
- 43:11Speaker 3: All I got to say is, Jed York, there's some
- 43:13Speaker 3: better places for you to find these hoes.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Honestly, I'm intrigued. How did he get caught? What tip people,
- 43:22Speaker 2: because they were on him for a bit.
- 43:24Speaker 3: His license plate said, I own the 49ers.
- 43:29Speaker 2: No, you got to have a trail, a track record,
- 43:32Speaker 2: a trail of doing something.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Right, to get caught. Right, to get caught. So I'm like,
- 43:37Speaker 1: come on. Maybe his wife? She would put that out there.
- 43:42Speaker 1: I don't know. Because maybe he had to get caught
- 43:45Speaker 1: for her because they're getting divorced. Right. We need a
- 43:47Speaker 1: come on, man section. Come on, man. Come on. Oh, yeah.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Come on, son. Yeah, man. Like, yeah.
- 43:55Speaker 3: Is he being treated on a different, is there a
- 43:58Speaker 3: different set of standards for the owner? Because, you know,
- 44:01Speaker 3: if it would have been a player, we would have heard.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Way, way more. That part.
- 44:05Speaker 2: I think they would probably still be talking about it
- 44:08Speaker 2: right now. I think that because it's an owner, they're
- 44:11Speaker 2: not seen on an everyday basis. It's not a hero. Right.
- 44:17Speaker 2: And they don't impact the game.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 44:20Speaker 2: I don't think that's why they're probably not going to
- 44:23Speaker 2: have the recourse that they would have as a player. Right, right.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Because imagine if you would have did it. Lambasted. What?
- 44:33Speaker 3: It would have taken you 27 ballots to get into
- 44:35Speaker 3: the Hall of Fame.
- 44:36Speaker 2: You would have these networks with different guys on a
- 44:40Speaker 2: panel that would have been, you know, saying, release him,
- 44:44Speaker 2: suspend him. He should be, you know, yeah. Suspend it for.
- 44:47Speaker 1: The rest of the year. Imagine how social media would
- 44:49Speaker 1: have did you.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Fine.
- 44:50Speaker 1: X amount of dollars.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Like, bro. Yeah. It's, it's definitely a different set, different
- 44:55Speaker 2: set of standards. Um, yeah, I'm sure there's probably going
- 44:59Speaker 2: to be a hefty fine being paid.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Um, and then, yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Um, but, and then on top of that, I think
- 45:04Speaker 2: it's just, it's not the right time. I think with
- 45:06Speaker 2: everything going on, just the timing of it. Um, And
- 45:09Speaker 2: I know Jed personally and reached out to him. Like,
- 45:12Speaker 2: you know, my message was to him just to stay positive.
- 45:15Speaker 2: You know, that was without me even, because I don't
- 45:17Speaker 2: like to cast judgment on anybody. Sure, sure.
- 45:19Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 45:20Speaker 2: You got to get what you got to get. I
- 45:21Speaker 2: don't know wherever you get it from.
- 45:23Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 45:24Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know the guy's lifestyle or whatever,
- 45:28Speaker 2: but we just have to do better.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Well, we do now. Do better and be smarter about it.
- 45:32Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Talking about standards, obviously talking
- 45:34Speaker 2: about 49ers, I mean, There are no headlines for all
- 45:37Speaker 2: the wrong reasons. And then an unexpected reason. How about
- 45:43Speaker 2: the guy who's been scamming all these women?
- 45:47Speaker 1: And who's saying his own? Young Mommy? That's her name?
- 45:51Speaker 1: Young Miami. Young Miami? Yes. While all my scamming... Well,
- 45:57Speaker 1: guess what? We found him.
- 45:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:00Speaker 1: We got our answer. Deshawn Love. Deshawn Love. Like, bro. I.
- 46:07Speaker 2: I don't know who's worse, him or the women being scammed.
- 46:14Speaker 2: And you know, being swindled out of money, I can
- 46:18Speaker 2: empathize with them a little bit, so I know how
- 46:20Speaker 2: you can, I don't know if I can empathize, because
- 46:24Speaker 2: in this situation, I mean, at least the people that
- 46:27Speaker 2: scam me, like I thought I trusted them and I
- 46:29Speaker 2: knew them for a long period of time. There is
- 46:32Speaker 2: a common denominator of trust.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Right.
- 46:36Speaker 3: But what I don't know is like, he's saying he
- 46:38Speaker 3: plays for the 49ers, right?
- 46:41Speaker 1: I don't know how he... How did he not.
- 46:43Speaker 3: Did these women not see him in the games? That's
- 46:47Speaker 3: what I don't... Did he break up with them right...
- 46:49Speaker 3: The people that he... He took the money and then
- 46:50Speaker 3: quit at preseason. Like, I don't like you no more.
- 46:52Speaker 1: That the women he preyed upon....
- 46:56Speaker 2: They got to be living under rocks. Or maybe they
- 46:59Speaker 2: just don't watch football. Well, what are the cities? I
- 47:02Speaker 2: know they were in Oregon. Yep. I think Idaho. Yep. Idaho,
- 47:05Speaker 2: you might be living up under rocks. Yeah.
- 47:07Speaker 1: We don't blame you, Idaho women. Potatoes. Sorry. Oregon. Here? Yeah. L.A., California.
- 47:14Speaker 2: L.A. is a football sports city. Oregon is a sports city. Yes. Um,
- 47:18Speaker 2: maybe they don't have the, the internet is a little
- 47:21Speaker 2: sketchy in those cities.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Did you see some of the stuff he was doing
- 47:23Speaker 1: to prove to these women?
- 47:25Speaker 3: Like, have you ever, I saw the video training? No,
- 47:28Speaker 3: I just, have you ever went to the beach and
- 47:30Speaker 3: ran routes with your helmet on? I've gone to the, no, no,
- 47:33Speaker 3: I think I went your helmet on and no coat and.
- 47:35Speaker 1: Just, just shirtless.
- 47:36Speaker 2: That's not out of, that's not out of the realm
- 47:38Speaker 2: of possibility. That's not unheard of to.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Go run routes at the beach with your helmet on.
- 47:42Speaker 2: No, uh, Antonio Brown. I think he's done that before.
- 47:46Speaker 2: We ran some routes. I didn't have my helmet, but
- 47:48Speaker 2: I know I think he had his helmet running on
- 47:50Speaker 2: just for conditioning and things of that nature. I've even
- 47:53Speaker 2: run routes, going to run routes on the football, just
- 47:56Speaker 2: training with just a helmet.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Just to get used to it. Yeah. So that's not far-fetched. Okay.
- 48:02Speaker 2: But as I've seen on social media, everywhere that he went,
- 48:08Speaker 2: I mean— He even said I think he had some
- 48:10Speaker 2: Rams gear. He had a few teams, but obviously most
- 48:14Speaker 2: notably the San Francisco 49ers. He had all the paraphernalia,
- 48:17Speaker 2: like everything that goes back to the 49ers. So I
- 48:21Speaker 2: don't know how these women... Like they didn't do any research,
- 48:25Speaker 2: but yeah, I saw the TMZ video where he, I
- 48:28Speaker 2: guess he had sent the girl. And the fact that
- 48:30Speaker 2: he sent the video to a girl, I guess to
- 48:32Speaker 2: prove himself about deals that he was making, moves that
- 48:36Speaker 2: he was making, houses that he had.
- 48:38Speaker 3: But he even tried to make it even more legitimate.
- 48:41Speaker 3: He had great paperwork. But you know what he did?
- 48:44Speaker 3: Got him a little Asian boy.
- 48:45Speaker 1: It looks legit.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Yeah, listen, I don't trust him, but that little Asian boy,
- 48:50Speaker 3: now that makes it look like something.
- 48:52Speaker 1: He was like, where are all my Asian little boys?
- 48:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:56Speaker 1: You know what the little boy's name was? Taylor. Taylor.
- 48:59Speaker 1: One Who Stealed. What? Yeah. That's his Asian name.
- 49:03Speaker 2: One.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Oh, you stupid. You stupid. One who take money. One
- 49:10Speaker 1: who steals money. Yes.
- 49:12Speaker 3: We're not making light of you ladies who have been
- 49:14Speaker 3: taken advantage of because there are men who have been
- 49:18Speaker 3: taken advantage of.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Honestly, being that you said that, being that you said that,
- 49:23Speaker 2: there's men that have been taken advantage of. why hasn't
- 49:29Speaker 2: some of these women been brought to the forefront? Because
- 49:32Speaker 2: we get taken advantage.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Of all the time.
- 49:35Speaker 3: A lot of these women will go on the internet
- 49:37Speaker 3: and show all their Birkin bags and all their shoes.
- 49:41Speaker 3: And this is the kind of lifestyle I like to lead.
- 49:42Speaker 3: So if you want to hang out with a woman
- 49:44Speaker 3: who looks like me, you've got to get me a Birkin.
- 49:46Speaker 1: We get scammed and taken advantage of, too. Why are
- 49:49Speaker 1: the women, why are they not in jail? Because they're
- 49:52Speaker 1: not the Birkin bag 49ers. Yo, that's a different set.
- 49:57Speaker 1: We're talking about standards.
- 49:58Speaker 2: There's a different set of standards going on right here.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Well, maybe because, you know what? I think also because....
- 50:04Speaker 3: Whatever it was, 1.3, 1.2 million. So hearing that took
- 50:09Speaker 3: it to a different level. 20,000, 50,000, 100,000.
- 50:11Speaker 1: It ain't 1.3 million.
- 50:14Speaker 2: For some people, that equates to that 1.3 or whatever.
- 50:17Speaker 2: But that's a totality. That's not in one lump sum.
- 50:20Speaker 2: I think there was- Several women. Yeah, over a.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Period of time.
- 50:25Speaker 2: They say he's been doing this since, is it 2022?
- 50:28Speaker 2: That is not something that just happened.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Did you ladies not notice he wasn't on, when you
- 50:33Speaker 3: turned on TV, he wasn't in the game? Yeah, like, yeah, like,
- 50:37Speaker 3: you got to know, like, where's Dajon Love? Like, there's
- 50:40Speaker 3: a Jordan Love for the Packers.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Nothing fishy. That's the only love that I saw that
- 50:44Speaker 1: was on the field that was getting some air time. Right.
- 50:48Speaker 2: I mean, he, first of all, you got to get
- 50:51Speaker 2: a dude some kudos. The dude got some games. He's
- 50:55Speaker 2: one of the best. He's one of the best.
- 50:58Speaker 1: He's cold-witted. Yeah.
- 51:01Speaker 3: Let's stay right here in your little San Francisco train
- 51:04Speaker 3: and talk about Colin Kaepernick.
- 51:06Speaker 1: It's been 10 years since he kneeled.
- 51:09Speaker 2: That was a very controversial time and topic. You talk
- 51:13Speaker 2: about police brutality, why he took the stance that he took. Right.
- 51:18Speaker 2: How do you think— Oh, 10.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Years since he.
- 51:20Speaker 3: What his impact would have been had he done what
- 51:22Speaker 3: he did back then now?
- 51:23Speaker 2: You think what he would have been, you know... Honestly,
- 51:25Speaker 2: I think he... Number one, I think he would be
- 51:27Speaker 2: still playing. I think he ruffled the feathers. And then
- 51:32Speaker 2: when you start getting into politics and things like that... Well,
- 51:35Speaker 2: you're saying if he would take a knee today... I
- 51:37Speaker 2: think it would be.
- 51:38Speaker 1: It wouldn't be... Well-received, more embraced than it did then.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Because he was.
- 51:45Speaker 2: He was embarking on a territory that like everybody, nobody,
- 51:48Speaker 2: we weren't ready for. And then if you think about it,
- 51:50Speaker 2: and I say that now, look how many players and
- 51:53Speaker 2: platforms that have been formed because of him.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 51:57Speaker 2: Establishing, you know, standing up for what he believed in
- 52:00Speaker 2: and understand like now a lot of players, they feel
- 52:03Speaker 2: like they were voiceless then because a lot of players,
- 52:05Speaker 2: they wanted to say and back him up. Right. but
- 52:08Speaker 2: they were scared that they was gonna lose their job.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Jerry Jones threatened players that openly came out and supported
- 52:16Speaker 2: that movement.
- 52:16Speaker 3: And then, remember, your president came out and called them
- 52:23Speaker 3: sons of bitches.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Yeah, they need my president.
- 52:25Speaker 1: No, I'm talking to them people out there. Oh, yeah,
- 52:28Speaker 1: y'all president.
- 52:29Speaker 3: So there definitely was sort of a fear. I'm sure
- 52:35Speaker 3: a lot of people supported him in silence, but were
- 52:37Speaker 3: afraid to be out there and say, yo, I'm going
- 52:40Speaker 3: to take a knee with you.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Why did more players take that stance, do you think? Honestly,
- 52:45Speaker 1: I think.
- 52:47Speaker 2: They were scared for their job. They knew that their
- 52:51Speaker 2: jobs were going to be in jeopardy. Just think about
- 52:55Speaker 2: Eric Reid, who was his teammate. Obviously, he came back,
- 52:58Speaker 2: but then I think he got blackballed because he was
- 53:01Speaker 2: associated with with Colin.
- 53:04Speaker 1: He couldn't get back in the league. Obviously, he could
- 53:06Speaker 1: still play. But again, he ended up in the same boat,
- 53:09Speaker 1: you know, same boat as Colin. You think it was.
- 53:12Speaker 3: Because of the level Colin was at? Do you think
- 53:15Speaker 3: there's somebody bigger? If there was a superstar that did this?
- 53:20Speaker 1: I don't know. I can't even say it's a level.
- 53:23Speaker 2: I think it's synonymous with when you look at the
- 53:29Speaker 2: scope of how police officers, especially treating the black community.
- 53:35Speaker 2: I think it's, they're trying to teach, they're using him
- 53:39Speaker 2: as a poster boy to teach him a lesson. And
- 53:42Speaker 2: anybody like him, this is what's going to happen. This
- 53:46Speaker 2: is what's going to happen. I don't know if Drew
- 53:48Speaker 2: Brees would have done that. We would be talking, I
- 53:51Speaker 2: don't think it would have been, I don't think Drew
- 53:53Speaker 2: Brees would have been blackballed out of the league. If
- 53:55Speaker 2: it was Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers, I honestly don't
- 53:59Speaker 2: think that we would be talking about this in this manner.
- 54:03Speaker 2: I honestly don't think that's the case. It was somebody
- 54:06Speaker 2: that pointed him out.
- 54:07Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 54:08Speaker 2: It's like somebody pointed him out.
- 54:11Speaker 1: He wasn't even really, he wasn't doing anything. Right. Just
- 54:15Speaker 1: taking a knee, silent protest.
- 54:18Speaker 2: That's what's so crazy. We can do the smallest thing
- 54:20Speaker 2: and get the most attention.
- 54:24Speaker 1: And they tried to make it seem like he was disrespecting.
- 54:26Speaker 1: The flag. The national anthem and the flag.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Right. Then you got the military and all the law enforcement.
- 54:32Speaker 3: And how many times when the national anthem come on,
- 54:35Speaker 3: you go, oh, let me go get something to eat
- 54:36Speaker 3: or let me go use the bathroom.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Bro, you got people eating hot dogs and stuff.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Nobody's at home going. Right. You know what I mean? Exactly.
- 54:44Speaker 2: But again, it's us. It's so synonymous.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Like we're so polarizing in a number of ways, whether
- 54:52Speaker 2: it's good, bad or indifferent. We're so polarizing. And we
- 54:58Speaker 2: still haven't advanced any progression of any solidarity, no more positive. Like, honestly,
- 55:06Speaker 2: I don't think the world is in a better place.
- 55:08Speaker 2: I don't think it's better than 10 years ago. To
- 55:11Speaker 2: be quite honest, yeah, there's been more awareness for things,
- 55:15Speaker 2: but there's no solutions. There's no solutions for anything. And
- 55:20Speaker 2: how does it stop? When does it stop? And it's
- 55:25Speaker 2: definitely with who's in the White House. He's been insightful,
- 55:31Speaker 2: just citing just division.
- 55:34Speaker 1: What were people saying to you? Like specifically, like.
- 55:38Speaker 2: Would I have done it? What would you do if
- 55:41Speaker 2: I was his teammate? Yeah. I would have been right
- 55:43Speaker 2: there with him. Anybody knows like I'm a loyal person.
- 55:48Speaker 2: Like everybody always talk about the locker room being a brotherhood. Like,
- 55:53Speaker 2: and honestly, I just, when you think about that and
- 55:57Speaker 2: you don't think about the dollar, like some of those,
- 55:59Speaker 2: some of his friends, his teammates, they failed him. Everybody
- 56:02Speaker 2: except for Eric Reid. You can't then go after the fact, oh,
- 56:07Speaker 2: I wanted to watch it. Because if it really meant
- 56:09Speaker 2: something to you, you wouldn't have cared about the ramifications. Me,
- 56:13Speaker 2: it didn't matter. So what if I lost my job
- 56:15Speaker 2: or lose money? I would have been right there with him.
- 56:17Speaker 2: That's me personally. Anybody know me, I'm going to tell you,
- 56:21Speaker 2: if I say I'm going to do something, I'm going
- 56:23Speaker 2: to do it. That's just me. They would ask me
- 56:26Speaker 2: my take on it, and I would have been behind
- 56:29Speaker 2: them 100%. So, again, if I would have been out
- 56:33Speaker 2: of the league, I would have been out of the league. Shit,
- 56:36Speaker 2: I did less than that. They wouldn't even let me
- 56:38Speaker 2: back in the league because for being outspoken and just
- 56:40Speaker 2: standing on business. So, yeah, I would have been right
- 56:44Speaker 2: there with Colin Kaepernick. He would have had the fro,
- 56:47Speaker 2: and I would have had this. No fro.
- 56:50Speaker 1: We believe you. We believe you.
- 56:52Speaker 2: But it's just so unfortunate that a lot of the players,
- 56:55Speaker 2: like I said, I mean, they honestly, and I can
- 56:58Speaker 2: understand too, a lot of those players, like I said,
- 57:01Speaker 2: they were scared for their jobs. But they don't understand
- 57:03Speaker 2: the power that they have. And I think once they
- 57:05Speaker 2: realize that, even with where they are now with guaranteed contracts,
- 57:09Speaker 2: when they realize how much power that they have as
- 57:13Speaker 2: players together, they can overpower anything that they want to.
- 57:19Speaker 2: If they need something, they want something, they can get
- 57:21Speaker 2: it done because there's so much strength in numbers. And
- 57:25Speaker 2: especially with the league being 70 plus percent black and
- 57:29Speaker 2: brown players, it's not.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Going to move.
- 57:32Speaker 2: They're not going to move the needle without us. Once
- 57:36Speaker 2: they understand and truly understand that, like you got to strategize.
- 57:39Speaker 2: It's like what Killer Mike said, it was a plot, plan, mobilize, strategize, organize.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Something like, something along those lines. If they get On that,
- 57:53Speaker 2: but trust me, they can move the needle. I think
- 57:56Speaker 2: a lot of things can happen starting with the National
- 57:59Speaker 2: Football League because everybody loves football. That's the only thing
- 58:02Speaker 2: that really brings us as Americans in all races, all
- 58:07Speaker 2: ethnic backgrounds, that's what brings us all together, sports. Football
- 58:11Speaker 2: is the number one sport here in America.
- 58:13Speaker 1: But today you think more people would probably take a
- 58:15Speaker 1: knee with them?
- 58:16Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:18Speaker 2: I mean, honestly, the league would probably be in a
- 58:21Speaker 2: bad situation. Honestly, I think it would be in a
- 58:26Speaker 2: bad situation because so many guys I think now feel.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Like just.
- 58:35Speaker 2: Motivated, inspired by what he did. Right. And when you
- 58:40Speaker 2: think about now, look how many players that have now
- 58:44Speaker 2: formed these podcasts on these different platforms because they feel
- 58:49Speaker 2: now that they have a voice that we're so suppressed
- 58:54Speaker 2: for so long.
- 58:55Speaker 3: Well, as you see here, we ain't no regular podcast.
- 58:57Speaker 3: We get to the point. And it's not just going
- 59:00Speaker 3: to be sports, as you can see. We're going to
- 59:05Speaker 3: talk about the culture, right, as we just did in
- 59:08Speaker 3: different ways.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:10Speaker 3: Also you know I being an entertainer we're gonna talk
- 59:12Speaker 3: about some entertainment and one of our biggest and brightest
- 59:15Speaker 3: just passed away this week Dolly Parton oh wow and
- 59:20Speaker 3: she was so beloved.
- 59:23Speaker 2: A lady that saw really no color no And I
- 59:27Speaker 2: think that's why a lot of people love Dolly Parton. Right.
- 59:31Speaker 2: She loved all walks of life. She just didn't see
- 59:35Speaker 2: black or white. She just loved people.
- 59:37Speaker 3: You know you're a bad person when you got a
- 59:39Speaker 3: whole amusement park named after you. Right.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:43Speaker 2: She's, I mean, phenomenal. I mean, one of the popular songs, Jolene.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Jolene. Jolene.
- 59:50Speaker 2: That's, yeah.
- 59:51Speaker 1: I just remember working nine to five. Yeah, nine to five.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Like, everybody who has worked a job knows that song.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Nine to five, man.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: None of these kids.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Yeah, y'all know nothing about, no, not yet. Taryn and I,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: y'all millennials, Gen Zs and Xs.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Making money selling T-shirts with Amazon.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Don't even leave the house.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: The Dollywood Foundation. Man, I'm sure it's- They've given.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Over three- 100 million books.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: To kids who deserve it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: And that's just straight out of the kindness of her heart. Right.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Again, she was a person that loves people, loves human beings.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: And again, and I think that's why she resonated with
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: a lot of us in the black community because she
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: was for us.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: She knows what.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: She sees what we've gone through. Right. I ain't going
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: to say she empathizes, but she understands what we have
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: gone through.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: And I wish a lot of people could have been
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: in her shoes and looked through her eyes and seen
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: things through the lens that she saw. Honestly, I think
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: this world would be a much better place.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Not too many people on her level. I like when
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: I see people give back.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: And to see her give back on that level is
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: a whole different type of give back.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: And I think, too, I think she realizes, she understands, like, reading, writing,
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: all those.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Things are.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: At the beginning when you're starting school. Right.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: And she's giving them to poor kids.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: And a lot of those poor kids were poor black kids. Right.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: And they know, too, like, and I'm sure she knows, like,
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: part of educating yourself, you have to read.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: You have to read.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: So what better way to do that than to obviously
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: put those pieces, put those things in place for underprivileged
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: kids that can't afford books or don't have access to them,
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: to be able to put those things in so many
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: facets of organization, donation, bins, and to have them read
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: those books.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: And like I said, 304, that's a lot of books, Chris,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: lot of books. Are there artists today or even in
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: the past that are like her? We know like a
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Michael Jackson, right? His music, his philanthropy.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: But is there anybody else like him, like her?
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: No, I'm thinking. Or maybe they're doing stuff in private.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: I think most of the artists... today that are doing things,
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: if you see them giving back or doing things, I
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: think it's all strategic. Whereas when you think about Michael
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Jackson or, or Dolly Parton, you know that there's not the,
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: the ones that I, that I, other artists aren't doing
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: it from pure intention, but those two, you just understand
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: it's like nothing. It's love, right? There's, There's nothing behind
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: it besides just giving back. They're not expecting nothing in return.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: Well, I'm sure there's other artists who are like that,
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: but you're just saying the majority of them.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but who?
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: But I can't think of anybody off the top of
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: my brain right now that I can put in that.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Young Miami? Stop.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Speaking of Michael Jackson, 12 is, I would say, his predecessors.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Remember We Are the World? Of course.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: Benefiting Africa around AIDS and all those things around that time.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: He got all those artists.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Only Michael Jackson can do something like that. Well, it
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: was more Quincy Jones. That put that together.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but true. But, I mean, Michael Jackson was kind
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: of almost like a headliner, too. I mean, there were
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: so many.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Yeah, big names. Yeah. How many... Man, it was.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: I mean, it was like the who's who. I remember
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: that video, bro.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Sure. Great documentary, too.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Well, speaking of Mike, two of his.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: Who have kind of mimicked his greatness and have gone
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: on to do some incredible things.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: They're great. Chris Brown, you think Chris Brown? Chris Brown
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: and Usher. I think, okay, yeah. So they're touring right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: They're fantastic. I've gotten into big arguments with people about-
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Have you gone to the show?
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: Have you gone to the show?
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I have not gone yet. Do you plan to? I
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: absolutely plan on it.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Yes. Okay. I've seen Usher. You're taking your wife? Yes.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Are you going to let- Absolutely not.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: You're going to let Usher, you know- She's going to
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: sit next to me with handcuffs on like.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: How are you doing? You going to the bathroom? We
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: going to the bathroom.
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: I've got arguments with people about Chris Brown being the
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: greatest entertainer of all time, saying he has a better
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: vocal range than Michael Jackson.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: He's a better dancer. What are your thoughts?
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Drugs are a dangerous thing.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Okay. That's all I can tell you. Drugs are a
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: dangerous thing.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Bro, there's no way. If Chris was right here, I'd
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: tell him. It's not that Chris is not talented.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: He's incredible. But he's not MJ.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: MJ. He can be CB, but he ain't in his
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: own world, but he ain't MJ.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Voice, or are you talking about dancing? Both.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: See, if I was to give him one, I would probably,
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: I could give him dancing. I'll take that back. I
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: give you the dancing part.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he's fantastic.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: But as far as like, even just musically inclined, like catalog, like, bro,
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: ain't nobody coming out in the millions and thousands. Ain't
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: nobody crying like, you know, just him coming on the stage.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: We don't know that.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: You ain't been in shows in Japan and Turkey. If
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: that was the case, it would be documented. They would
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: be promoing that. Man, Michael Jackson stood on the stage for,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: they said, eight minutes without saying a word.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Bro, they had to call the.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: The plumber, I mean, it was tears all over the floor.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: They had to call the plumber. I saw him, Dodger Stadium,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I think it was 1980. I wish.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: I could have seen Michael Jackson in concert.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Damn it. I am a living testament.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: You're going off script.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Putting him away.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: I've seen, you know, you see TV and you people go,
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: you know, Frank Sinatra, Frankie, and they faint, or Elvis.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Mike came out. I got lightheaded. No, stop, Chris. I
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: got lightheaded. I was like, oh, this is what they
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: talk about.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Stop, Chris. It was fucking amazing.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: He came up to Dodger Stadium. The whole stadium floated.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I don't know if it was eight minutes, but he
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: didn't say nothing. It was, and it could have been
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: from us screaming. For real like that? Lightheaded. I got it.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: People faint.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: You saw him taking people out. I see how people
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: get me taken out. I could have been taken out.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: No, that's crazy.
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: I was a little Chinese girl at the Michael Jackson concert.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Bro, I mean.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Michael!
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: You know what's so crazy? You've watched clips.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: You've seen clips where little kids now, they're hearing Michael
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Jackson for the first time. These are one, two, three, four-year-olds.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: They are enamored by his music. It is something with
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: his music. My daughter was like that.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Like, it is something.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: It is like it's crack coming through the sound waves.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: They knew what they were doing.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: Like, it is something about this individual. Bro, like, even
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: little kids, like, they're emotional.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Let me tell you a story, Terrell. Tell me a story.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: When my daughter would act up in the car, restless.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I'm about to cry. I would play PYT, Pretty Young Thing.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: And she would just smooth on out.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: For real.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: I want to love you. B-Y-T. And then she would
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: just calm down. I'm crying. For real? You rubbed off
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: on me. That's crazy. That's crazy.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: I just, again, yeah, I know, yeah, I know we're
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: wrapping up, but I mean, I just, man, and I
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: love Michael Jackson.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: I mean, I had the curl. I had all of that.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: The Michael Jackson. You told me. Yeah, bro. I had
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: the penny loafers. 6'8 Michael Jackson walking around.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: Bro, I had the penny loafers. I wasn't this tall then,
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: but I had the leather jeans. Shoot, my mom, like
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: I didn't have like the little sashay thing. So I had, yeah, so, yeah,
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: I tried to emulate, I had the look of Michael Jackson.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Right. I, I had to improvise. Did you have to move? Oh, yeah. No, no.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: I did that.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: I did on the toes, everything.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: I want to see it. The moonwalk. Move that out
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: of the way. Let me see it.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: Nah.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Man, I can do all of that.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: The floor is not really conducive for doing the moonwalk.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: But I mean, no, no.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Bro, I can do the moonwalk. I did everything. All
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: of that, bro.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: I had the whole routine. I had the little curls,
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: like little dry curls. Little curls down. Man, I had
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: it all.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: What?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Man. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Billie Jean was my favorite.
