- 3:08The plan, known as the Resilient Coasts Initiative,
- 3:11was announced in Chelsea during King Tides, which
- 3:13are known for causing coastal flooding. Massachusetts
- 3:17Secretary for Energy and Environment Rebecca
- 3:20Tepper emphasized the importance of protecting
- 3:22vulnerable communities. Local leaders, including
- 3:26State Senator Sal Dey Domenico, noted the federal
- 3:30government's withdrawal of crucial funding for
- 3:32resilience projects. Experts stressed the need
- 3:36for collaboration and funding to address immediate
- 3:39community needs while planning for the future.
- 3:46Now on to sports. NHL officials are set to inspect
- 3:52Milan's Olympic Hockey Arena next week amid ongoing
- 3:55concerns about construction progress. Deputy
- 3:59Commissioner Bill Daley expressed, it continues
- 4:01to be concerning following a meeting with general
- 4:04managers. Derek King and Di Matsuzaki will assess
- 4:09the situation as the Olympics are just 90 days
- 4:12away. Daily noted the lead receives weekly updates
- 4:16but requires first -hand observations. The International
- 4:21Olympic Committee confirmed the arena is scheduled
- 4:24for completion mid -December, with a new event
- 4:27planned for early January. In other news, NHL
- 4:31executives discussed roster reveal dates and
- 4:34pre -season lineup regulations. In local sports,
- 4:40Tyrese Maxey scored 21 points, And Kelly Oberjr

- 5:13structural issues with Embiid's knee, and he
- 5:16is day -to -day. The Celtics will host Memphis
- 5:19on Wednesday night. In top news, the upcoming
- 5:25weather forecast is chilly with a chance of falling
- 5:29iguanas. Due to a potentially record -smashing
- 5:33cold snap, iguanas could fall from trees in parts
- 5:36of Florida. Temperatures in South Florida may
- 5:40dip into the high 30s this week. The Florida
- 5:43Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission states
- 5:46that iguanas become sluggish below 50 degrees.
- 5:51When temperatures drop into the 30s and 40s,
- 5:53they can freeze, lose their grip, and fall. National
- 5:58Weather Service stations have issued falling
- 6:00iguana advisories. reminding residents that these
- 6:04lizards are usually temporarily immobilized,
- 6:07not dead. As temperatures warm, the iguanas will
- 6:11unthaw and be able to move again. In business
- 6:16news, Visa Incorporated and MasterCard Incorporated
- 6:20have reached a new settlement agreement with
- 6:23a group of merchants, potentially impacting credit
- 6:26card rewards for consumers. The proposed settlement
- 6:29would allow stores to limit their acceptance
- 6:32of rewards cards, which typically incur higher
- 6:35fees. Merchants could choose to accept all cards
- 6:38or just specific categories, including commercial,
- 6:42premium consumer credit, and standard credit
- 6:45cards. This flexibility could lead to merchants
- 6:48blocking premium cards to reduce costs. While
- 6:52analysts suggest this may upset affluent consumers,
- 6:56It could also provide merchants with significant
- 6:58relief. The settlement is pending court approval,
- 7:02aiming to resolve a decades -long lawsuit. In
- 7:06crypto movement, Bitcoin is down 3 % to about
- 7:10$103 ,000. Ethereum is down 4 % to just over

- 8:16warning its 2 .5 billion Gmail users to enhance
- 8:19their security. While there are claims of a breach,
- 8:23the real advice is to stop using passwords altogether.
- 8:27The issue stems from a breach at Salesforce,
- 8:30where attackers accessed business -related Gmail
- 8:33data, not actual credentials. With this data,
- 8:37phishing attacks have become more sophisticated.
- 8:41Hookle emphasizes that users should never share
- 8:44their passwords, even with trusted individuals.
- 8:48Instead, users are encouraged to switch to pass
- 8:50keys or two -factor authentication for better
- 8:53security. Stain Vigilant is key, as breaches
- 8:58can compromise accounts indirectly. And in entertainment
- 9:04news, DC Studios is tapping the creators of American
- 9:09Vandal for a new television spinoff featuring
- 9:12Jimmy Olsen. The show will be led by Skyler Gesondo,
- 9:17who reprises his role as Daily Planet photographer
- 9:19Jimmy Olsen with the first season focusing on
- 9:23Gorilla Grodd. Dan Peralt and Tony Jacenda will
- 9:27write, executive produce, and show on this Superman
- 9:30movie spinoff. The series will center on Olsen
- 9:33and other Daily Planet reporters tackling cases
- 9:37involving super -powered villains. Gorilla Grodd,
- 9:41a super -intelligent evil ape, is a key antagonist
- 9:44for The Flash. first appearing in comics in 1959.
- 9:50Ben and Peter Safran will executive produce,
- 9:53while Galin Vazman oversees for DC. Well, all
- 9:57righty folks, it's time for the quote of the
- 10:00day. And today, our quote comes from the American
