- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Today, we're going to learn how to live the Christian life.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: And that's a term that you hear a lot, that I hear a lot, the Christian life.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: People will say, I believe in grace, but I believe in living right too.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: If you ask someone, what does it mean to live the Christian life?
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Most of the time, people will go to how something looks.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Well, some will say, Well, I believe that it means that you don't do this, you don't do that, and you don't do the other.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Or some will say, Well, it means that you do do this and you do that and the other.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: And there's such a variety, because some will say, Well, it means that you you you look different from the world.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: And what's that mean?
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Well, with some you don't smoke, you don't drink, you don't cuss, with others, it's it's how you dress and uh how or how you wear your hair, or some places that you go or that you don't go, and and it a lot of times it has to do uh with with those things.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: So what is the Christian life?
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: What does it look like?
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: And how do you really um live uh the Christian life?
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Some would say, um, well, it's a it's a godly life.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: You know, of course, then you've got to define that.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: It's a godly life.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: You you just you just tried to live a godly life.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Let me start off by saying that that was the first mistake mankind ever made was trying to live a godly life.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: All the way back in the Garden of Eden.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: See, I've got to refer to that every single time, don't I?
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: All the way back there, Adam and Eve chose that by gaining this knowledge of good and evil, what did they say it would do?
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: That it would make us godly, or it was like make us like God.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: If we can get this knowledge and live according to that, then we will be like God or gods, or we will live a godly life.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: And uh question, did it work?
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: It didn't work.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Uh to anybody that's if anybody's trying that right now, if they're trying to live a godly life with that knowledge of good and evil, it didn't work then, so is it working right now?
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: To anybody that's trying that?
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: No.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Will it work next year if somebody tries it?
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: It just it it's it's it that's not it.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: That's barking up the wrong tree.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: So, what is the Christian life?
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Let's look at it.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Like, well, let me let me give it to you this way.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: I'll go ahead and answer it right up the front.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: The short answer is how do we live the Christian life?
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: The answer is you don't.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: You don't live the Christian life.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: The Christian life lives in you, or the life of God is what lives inside of you.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: And that's what we're gonna talk about this morning.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: It's no longer I that lives.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: In fact, Galatians 2.20 says it very, very plainly and very clear, doesn't it?
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Maybe a lot of us know that verse, I think.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: But but Paul writing here says, I have been crucified with Christ.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Right off the bat, that gives you a clue that it's not him that's living.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: And he says, It's no longer I that live.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: That's that's very plain.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: How do you live the Christian life, Paul?
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Paul, you're doing a good job here.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: How are you doing this?
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: He says, I'm not living.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: It's no longer I that live, but it's Christ that's doing the living.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: It's Christ living in me.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: You're not living the Christian life, the life is living inside of you.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: In the inside out, through you, for you, to you, and the life that I now live.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: So it's a whole different idea, uh, actually, than what Paul had before, right?
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Now, uh, you know, before he was a Pharisee, a Jewish Pharisee, but you know, this Christianity thing is new.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: They were they were God's people.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: And what were all Pharisees trying to do?
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Live a godly life.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: In fact, it made them pretty angry a lot of time because sometimes they'd see people not living a godly life.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: And so, of course, we have the case of one woman where, because she wasn't living a godly life, we want to kill her.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Let's kill her.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: As if killing her is godly, but anyway, they but he was trying, wasn't he?
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, and in fact, he talked about it a little bit.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: He said, nobody tried harder than me.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: As far as passion and zeal, he said, I had it more than anybody.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: That's why I ascended the ranks more than other people my age.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: He said, I was passionate about doing this.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: There again, did it work?
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Paul said it didn't work.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: I love Romans 7, where he gives us a, he pulls back the curtain and shows us what his life was was like there.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: He said, I tried it.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: But I never, but with all of that, I never found the power.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: It wasn't there.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: I never found it.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: It means he was looking for it.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Any of you ever lived that life where you're trying to live up to something, trying to fulfill something, trying to trying to gain something, and and and it was either in legalism or a mixture of a law and grace, and no matter how much you tried, I hear this story a lot.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: It's so very common.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: No matter how much they tried, after a while, they never really found the power to do it.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: They always fell short.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: And after a while, we wise up.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: I've talked to a lot of people.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: When people tell their grace story, so many of them are very similar that they, after many years, they wise up and they say, Hey, this is not getting me there.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: And it's not that, not for a lack of trying.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: But they wise up and then they just say, Lord, who are you?
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: And then what this thing called revelation happens.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Revelation that flesh and blood does not give to you, reveal to you, but it's revealed to you by your father.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Happy Father's Day.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Your Father in heaven.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: And Paul said, the thing I wanted to do, I couldn't find the power to do it.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: And the things I didn't want to do, I was still doing it.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Didn't want to.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: The things about me that were ungodly, I didn't want to, but I couldn't stop.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: I couldn't change it.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Certain things.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, I had these outward, outward fulfillments of things that were required of us as a Pharisee, but the real things that matter.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: See, and he's saying this looking back on it now, now that he knows Christ, and that's why he says, the things that I thought were important at one time, I thought they were something.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: I now count them as dung.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: They're like nothing to me compared to the more excellent thing of what?
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Knowing Jesus Christ, my Lord.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: And that was the big difference was the knowing.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: See, I really have a heart, a a passion for trying to minister in a way that turns the heart to the Father, that turns people to the person of God, to the relationship of God.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Because wherever there's a lack of a personal relationship, and I know we use that word a lot in Christianity, but I'm talking about where you're actually knowing the person just like you can know a human being.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: You know them, you know, you know their voice, you know what, you know their heart, you know their character.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Now, you don't, you're not going to know everything about God because he's too big.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: And maybe compared to what there is to know about God, maybe I've only scratched the surface, but man, that surface has changed everything.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: That just little bit of God that I know has been wonderful.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: I know that I have tasted and seen the goodness, the goodness of God, and it has it has been sweet and it has been powerful, and it has changed me in the way that me trying to live the Christian life couldn't do.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: And that stuff's always trying to push in, isn't it?
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Even after you get a revelation, there's a there's there's there's still these things that come in, but yeah, but come on, you know, you we it it's about time for us, us grace people, we gotta start getting it together, you know, and all that.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: See, you know what that comes from?
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: I'll do, I'll talk about that in just a moment, but but but but we get a little impatient sometimes.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: And I'll tell you why you don't have to be impatient.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: For one thing, it's not a fruit of the spirit.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Impatience is not a fruit of the spirit.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: Patience is.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, so uh uh another verse, John 14, 6.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna I'm gonna have to buzz through this more because I'm taking too much time.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: Um already.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: I am the way, Jesus said.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: The truth and the what?
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: The life.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: He said, I'm the life.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: Jesus, what do I do?
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Remember in one place they said, what must we do to work the works of God?
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: What was his answer?
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: He says, Here's the works of God.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: Believe on him.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Believe on the one that he sent, believe in me, believe in who I am, believe in what I'm doing, believe in what I'm saying about the Father.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: We know it in other place that said, Well, show us the Father.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: We want to see.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: He goes, Have I been with you this long and you're still saying, show us the Father?
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: If you've seen me, you've seen the Father.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: Revelation of the Father.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: I love Father's Day.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: I love, I love, I love because my family honors me.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: But I also love, my mind goes to him.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: And I love the scripture that says, For this reason I bow my knee unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: And I love the beauty and the goodness of the Father, but it's all Him.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: He is the way, the truth, and He is the life.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: And He says, And no man comes to the Father but through me.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: I even want to do this.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Notice what He's saying here.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: Somebody's laughing.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: I'll just say this.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we can take a verse like this and we make it into something completely different than what it was meant to be.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: We're making this all about do you go to the good place or the bad place?
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: He's talking about coming to the Father, knowing the Father.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Nobody else is revealing this to you except you.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: I'm the way.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Believe me.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Believe what I'm showing you, believe what I'm saying about the Father.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Believe.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: And today, after the cross, we look back at that, and that speaks to us the goodness and the glory and the heart of the Father.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: John chapter 11, verse 25 and 26, Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: See, he keeps saying that.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: And I there are so many verses like this, and I and that, of course, I don't have time to get to all of them, but here are just a few where he keeps saying, I'm the life, I'm the life, I'm the life.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: In another one in John 4, in John, he says, he says, I'm the vine, you're the branches.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: You can't do anything outside of me.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: I supply the life.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: I supply the life.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: Nowhere do you find the gospel message, whether it's Jesus or or Paul or any of them, you don't find them saying, now you live the Christian life.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Now I'll address one verse that people throw back at me and I'll show you, I'll clear that up for you.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: But but you don't see Jesus always saying, I'm the life, I'm the life, I'm the life.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: You can do nothing without me.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: I'm the vine.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Abide in me, abide in me.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: I am your life.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: Me and you, you in me, I'm your life.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: Nowhere do he said, now you try to live this life.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Here's what it is.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Now, I'm going to be with the Father, and I'm going to be watching.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: And I'm very gracious, but you better live right.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: And the reason we don't have that is because they already had that.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: They already had the you better live like you better live right.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: And what did Jesus say he came for?
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: He said, I didn't come to condemn the world, but that the world through me might be saved.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: In another place, he said, he said, I came that you might have life.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: I didn't come to demand that you live a life.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: That's why he said, I didn't come to condemn you, because we would have all just been condemned if that was it.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: But he says, I come that you would have life.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: What you need is life.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: You don't need another commandment.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: You don't need more pressure put on you.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: You don't need more demands from God that you live up to a standard.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: What you need is life to live for you.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: You need life to live through you.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: You need the empowerment of me who is life.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: Now think about this life.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: I'm going to go down to John chapter 1.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: Look at this.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Look at who we're what we're really dealing with here.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: And if you look at things like this, I think it starts to move us out of this religious thing to where we're where it's about us being trying to be a certain thing or live or act a certain way.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Or even show a certain thing.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: And it gets us into the reality of this, to the beginning of what it's really supposed to be about.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: In fact, I'll take you right here, if we go to John 1, I'll take you right here to the beginning that John's referring to.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Watch this.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: He says, in the beginning, I love quoting this a lot.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: In the beginning was the word or the logo, so the divine expression of God.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: In the beginning there was that.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: And whatever that expression was, what was it expressing?
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: It was expressing him, himself.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: And he says, and the word was with God, and the word was God.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: He was in the beginning with God.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: In him was life.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: And that life was the light of men.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: And the light shines or shined in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it, or it means it did not overtake it.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: Now, this is referring, first of all, to Genesis 1, the creation, right?
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: And it says that when darkness was on, when the earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep, God expressed himself.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: He looked on that darkness, on an earth that was without form and void.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: And God expressed himself and said, Let there be light.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Because his life is the light of men.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: It's himself.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: What God expresses, the logos of the word, what God expresses is simply himself.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: It's just the expression of him.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: And what happened?
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: We see the results of it every single day.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: To this day.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Thousands of years later, or if you believe something else, millions, or whatever, it'll have been a long time.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: And life is still happening because life was expressed.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: And life came to this third rock from the sun.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: This earth that was barren, this barren rock in space that was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of it, and God expressed Himself, and we look out the window, and what do we see?
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: Life.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: I'm talking trees, bushes, grass, I'm talking animals, I'm talking about beasts, I'm talking about crawling things.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: I'm talking, what is it?
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: It's all life.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: And where did it come from?
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Came from the divine expression because if life expresses himself, life is just what it's going to be.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: And what we're seeing, creation declares his glory, what we're seeing is the expression of God Himself.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: We're seeing life.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: And you know what's really cool about life?
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: I'm talking about divine life, capital L, God life, Him who is life himself.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Is that no matter what happened, you know, this world has gone through destructive things historically.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: And life is still happening.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: You know, you can burn a forest down.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: And will there will there cease to be a forest?
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: No, life will keep happening.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: The very next day, life is still going on.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Oh, it looks different now because you burned away what that is, but it doesn't stop the life.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Nothing stops the life.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: I get a little bit frustrated because when we mow our grass, it keeps happening.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Because it's life.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: It's life.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: You can even spray and kill all your grass and just leave it alone.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Just give it a little time, and you'll find out life is still happening.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: Something's gonna grow.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Because life will never stop.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: Life is eternal.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: We're talking about eternal life.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: And it has an expression.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: And it and he did express himself that it that resulted in what we would call physical creation.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: And it all declares his glory.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: And there's this thing called life.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: And it shined in the darkness.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: And it drove out the darkness because that's just what life does.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: Now, go to 2 Corinthians 4 and we look at that.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: This correlates to that because now he he talks the word talks about how it's work, the same thing's happening in us.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: And it says in 2 Corinthians 4, verse 6, for it is God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness or through the darkness.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: We're talking about the beginning.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: The same God who commanded the light to shine in that darkness has also shined in our hearts.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: Pause right there.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: If God expressed Himself on a planet with no life on it, void.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: Darkness.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of them out there.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: And everyone we've seen so far is this barren round rock somewhere.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: But on this one, he expressed himself.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: And life happened.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: And if somebody thinks that that's just some accident, some chemical accident that happened somewhere on a molecular level somehow without any intelligence, they're not even seeing what's very apparent to the eyes that life is happening here.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: And where does life come from?
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: Life only comes from life.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: And it says, and the same God who did that, did that in us.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: Life was expressed in you.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Even if you were ignorant, that's what, and darkness means that to us.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: In our darkness, in our blindness, blindness, in our ignorance.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: When I had no concept of God, and any little bit of idea I had, it turns out that it wasn't even true.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: That's darkness.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: That's being lost in darkness.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: And my life, existence, was for all intents and purposes void and without form.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: Just groping in the darkness, not knowing life.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Trying to live a life.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Trying to build a life.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: And while I was in my darkness, just like when the world was in its darkness, while I was in my darkness, the expression of God broke through.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: And, you know, and a lot of what I talk about is when I got the revelation of grace.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Because even though when I first turned my heart to the Lord, the Bible says the veil is removed, I did come to Him.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: But my story is also very common to where it wasn't very long that I was around people that I thought knew better.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: And a lot of what was being what was being promoted there, it really did.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: I hate to say it, and I'm not mad at anybody because we're doing the best we can, all of us, but it did turn me to myself, to where where I thought I was to live this life.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: And so I went for 20 years trying it.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: And I ran out of strength and I gave up trying.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: I didn't give up on God because I believed in Him.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: I believed in God.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: I mean that I was sealed in that.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: But I didn't believe in the efforts anymore.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: So what is it?
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: What do I have left?
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, Father.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: I'm I can't try anymore.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: I have let you down.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: My my journey ends here.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: I still want to go to heaven, but I can't try anymore.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: I'm not doing it.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Are you done now?
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: Because he did let me know.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: As I laid on that floor, he did let me know I wasn't looking for you to be strong.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: I want to be your strength.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: I wasn't demanding that you love me.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: I want you to know that I love you.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: And when I knew that, when I knew that he loved me without any, without any demands, when I knew that he loved me, I mean, it it it it blew the walls out of my own temple.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: It was just like God is better than I thought he was.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: And if I never got any better, and this was the truth, I know it makes some people cringe, but if I never changed, if I never improved at all, God loved me just like I was.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: That is amazing grace, not logical grace.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: That only comes by a revelation.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: That comes from something that flesh and blood will not tell you.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: That only comes from your Father, your wonderful Father, that expressed himself to me in my darkness.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: And expressed himself, and he expressed the beauty of who he is.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: And it did a creative work in me.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: I felt life.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: And I felt alive.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: And when I came in to talk to God thinking that I was quitting, I found out now I can begin.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: It's no longer I that live, but it's Christ that lives in me.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: And the life that I live, I will now live by faith in the Son of God who died for me and gave himself for me, who loved me.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: And he commanded that light to shine in that darkness in creation, but he's now shined in our hearts for this purpose, in order to give the light.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: What did he say in the beginning?
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Let there be light.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: What did he say in your heart?
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: Let there be light.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Let it dissipate the darkness and let them see, let them know me, for he's the Father who delights in being known by his children.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Come and learn of me.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: I'm gentle, I'm humble.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: You'll find rest for your souls.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: 20 years of Christianity, I was worn out.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Rest for your soul?
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: That doesn't come until you see the beauty or taste of the goodness of the Father.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: That doesn't come except by revelation.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: That comes from Him who is like that doesn't come except from His true expression to you.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: And it's beautiful, it's love, it's wonderful.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: It will empower you throughout eternity.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: And it liberates you.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: It takes out all the fear.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Am I doing right or am I doing wrong?
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: You're alive, and the life that you're living is not even by your effort, it's by him who's in you.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: And that's the empowerment that changes everything about us from the inside out.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: And I have to reiterate it because the questions come, but what about?
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Aren't we supposed to live a certain way anyway, somehow, some way, Rick?
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: Well, it's not because that there's a there's a legal demand upon it, it's not because of punishment reward kind of a thing.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: The change happens because you're loved and because life is happening in you.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: And life is going to do something.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: And that life, who is the light of men, you know what it was, but I say it a lot, but what I noticed, first of all, was love happened to me.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: And it wasn't, it wasn't religious love, it wasn't scholarly love that I had read about.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: Wasn't the love that I was trying to live up to, begging God help me to love you more, help me to love people more, because I used to pray that.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Because I'm trying to live this life.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to live the godly life.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: I would cry with tears.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: Help me.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: First of all, to love you more.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Because some of the ways I'm acting must is proof to me that I don't really love you with all my heart, with all my might, with all my soul.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: And that is the command, and I'm wanting to live up to that.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: I want to live the Christian life.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: And you know as well as I do, I fall too short in loving these people.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: I'm trying.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: I'm trying.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: Something we heard.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: Something I still hear when people still talk to me and they say, Well, aren't we supposed to live a certain way?
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Like, can anybody do that?
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: And they say, Well, no, but you're supposed to try.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: That's what I hear a lot.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: I still hear that.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: 2024, 2,000 years after the life of Jesus was imparted to mankind this way, still saying you're supposed to try.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: What verse does it say you're supposed to try?
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: Not one.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: So much hinges on that.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: I fall short, but at least I'm trying, therefore, I go to heaven.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: And if you quit trying, you won't.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: See what all that stuff breeds?
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: It's called death.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: The tree of knowledge of good and evil.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: But he has shined in our hearts to give us the knowledge of the glory of God, or the goodness of God in the face of Jesus, or that's revealed in the person of Jesus Himself, revealing the glory.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: The glory, I've done a Bible study on this.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: You can put his goodness in there.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: Show me your glory, I'll cause my goodness to pass before you.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: And he did this, he commanded that life to be in you, and it's there.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: Just like it's in the earth.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Do you still have challenges?
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Can forests burn down?
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: Yes, but life will not stop.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Can you have setbacks in life?
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: Yes, but life will not stop.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: Is your body sick?
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe, but life is still happening in you.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: Are you having a sad time, a hard time?
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: Yes, but life is still happening in you, and it'll never stop because it's called eternal life.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: And he said, that's why he did that.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: And then verse 7 says, but we have this treasure in earthen vessels, weak, foolish vessels, so that the excellency of the power would be of God and not of us.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: There again, it goes back to him living in us, not us trying to live it.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Because if we were to succeed, in fact, since none of us do, but some of us feel like we succeed to a certain degree.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Here's a funny thing about this mixture of grace and legalism is that we, on one hand, we know that we still lack, so we're going to keep trying harder, keep vowing to God that we're going to work on this.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: So we still we feel concerning us and God, like I know I don't quite measure up, I need to do better, but concerning me and you, at least I'm better than you.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: So you've got the shame and the pride at the same time.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Isn't it weird how that can happen?
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: That you can feel guilt when it comes to you and God.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: But you can feel pride when it comes to other people because we measure things carnally and we think, well, at least I'm better than you.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: And we and we measure ourselves.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: See, we don't even know how heaven works when we're in the flesh like that.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: Another thing we do is we get we look at other groups.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: Well, they believe da-da-da-da-da.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: We don't believe that, do we?
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: Aren't we better than them?
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: And we've got all these things going on, not even knowing what life is really all about.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Not even knowing the, you know, like Jesus said, you you do err not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: Because what's your power?
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: Life is your power.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: And we have it in these earthen vessels, these fallible vessels, vulnerable, weak and foolish vessels, the Bible calls them.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: And this is a thing on purpose.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: This is a good thing to study out if you've never done that.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: Why didn't God just make us perfect?
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Do you know what?
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: He made you with weak and foolish, vulnerable vessels so that your source, you would know where your source comes from.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: It comes from God, and because you're fallible, because you can fall flat on your face, and we all do sometimes, it's only through that, and this is what Paul was revealing in in 2 Corinthians 12, is that in that weakness, the power of Christ is revealed in it.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: The grace is revealed, because only through that can we know how deep Daddy's grace really goes.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: And if we find the real thing, we keep getting surprised by how deep that grace will flow.
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: Without this, without the earthen vessels, oh, we could say, oh, God loves me.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: Let's say we're perfect, let's say we're not weak and foolish vessels.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: Let's say God made us and we just kind of do things right because that's what God likes, so he made us that way.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: Does God love us?
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: We'd probably say, Yeah.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: But we would never know how deep that love can really go unless we're weak and foolish, vulnerable, fallible vessels that can fall on our face and still find God there.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: I heard somebody talking about their daddy and saying, He's always there.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: What I like about him is he's always there.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: Jesus said, I'll never leave you, I'll never forsake you.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: But what if I do this?
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: I'll never leave you nor forsake you.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: How deep is your love?
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: That's something that Bee Gees wanted to know in the 70s.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: And all I know is I know that it's deep, but I've never found the bottom.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: But I keep looking into this.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: And it's amazed.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: And some of us get together and we talk about it, and we get this joy and done talking about the love of God and how and how surprised we're still getting all the time about how deep that love is and how powerful that love is.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: And and it's all that love, that life, that light, it's all that which is working in you.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna show you something here, and I I wanna I gotta take the time to do this.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: Because there's a verse in Philippians chapter 2, and this is what people will bring up to me.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: What about, Rick?
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: The Bible tells us to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: Gotcha, didn't I?
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: Here's a problem.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: See, this is why I wish everybody knew their Bible.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: I wish people, you know, sometimes I even talk to people in the world that's that are more literate in the Bible and so many other things.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: And I almost am embarrassed for Christians because Christians don't know their Bible.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: They know sound bites and they build doctrines on sound bites, but they don't know context most of the time.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: They certainly don't know history.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: A lot of them don't even know where their beliefs originated from.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: They just got passed on and they just accepted it.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: But here in Philippians, he says that, and and and and you can read the whole thing and it's beautiful, but I can't uh don't have time.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: But 2 Corinthians 4, beginning in verse 6, talking about the glory of Jesus.
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: Wherefore God has highly exalted him and given him the name that's above every name.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: Somebody say every name.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, I got there's so much I could preach.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: Now, first of all, I love that He's saying, look at the majesty of Jesus.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: Every, he's over every name named.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Let me just throw this out and some of you can get mad at me, but think about it anyway.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: Jesus is not involved in a cosmic battle between good and evil.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: In fact, he said, be of good cheer, I've overcome the world.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: Every name that is named, I'm above all of it.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: In the world there's tribulation, but be of good cheer.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: I've overcome all of it.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: I have overcome.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: I'm not trying to win.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: It's not like, come on, church, if you'll take a stand and you'll help me here, maybe I'll win this battle.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: He's over in every name.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: There's no contest.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: It's already done.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: And it's the life living in us, but we get distracted by these things that we hear because we can't see.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Watch out for that tree of knowledge of good and evil.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: Because it's it's deceptive and it wears a religious robe and it promises you godliness, just like it did in the beginning.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: And we're taking stands for godliness and we're fighting for godliness because somebody around here's got to be the bastion of truth and the keeper of the flame and the soldier of the right and all of that, and and and the whole time there's life expressing himself in our darkness.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: And he says, Therefore, my beloved, here's Paul writing to this church, therefore, my beloved, as you've always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: In other words, in other words, not just when I'm teaching you this stuff, now when I'm gone.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: You guys, you guys be established in this.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: Let me say, first of all, when he says, work out your own salvation, where in the world do we get the idea he's telling them now?
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: It's up to you to try to live this.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: He doesn't give any indication of that.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: He's talking about salvation.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: Your salvation.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: Was your salvation ever based on what any on any performance or goodness that you did?
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: He's talking about salvation.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Your salvation.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: You know, I've had to work out my own salvation.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: I've come to the conclusion that it's no longer I that live, it's him.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: I've come to the conclusion that it wasn't about what I do and how much I can earn with God.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: I've come to the conclusion that my own salvation has only been through him and God's amazing grace.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Because he gave himself for me and loved me.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: I've worked that out.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: And it says, fear and trembling, that's that's basically King James language.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: I like one translation, it says, do it with holy awe and reverence.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: One of them says, for the for the for the for you'll you'll tremble at the reality of the Holy Spirit.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: But doesn't this thing, the beauty of this thing, the power of this thing, and and the depth of this thing, doesn't it put you more in awe of a father like this than maybe when you thought that he was a father waiting for you to perform and wondering, when are you gonna get with it?
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: And how much patience do I have to have with you?
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: And why are you still acting like that?
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: Does that put you in awe?
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: That's pretty much standard human thinking.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: And then he seals it with the next verse.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: Why do you do it?
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: Why do you work this out?
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: Get it right.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: Because it's God who works in you, both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: So he's not saying do it yourself, but it's God that does it.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: Because it's God.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: It's not you, it's God.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: Finally, I want to finish with this verse, Matthew chapter 6.
- 36:49SPEAKER_00: And I read this a lot when I'm speaking.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: But it says it so well from the message in the Bible.
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: And I want you to remember today, no matter what's going on with you, no matter how weak that you've found yourself to be, life is working in you.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: Life is working in you.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: If you're dealing with something that's hard, which can happen in this world, life is still happening in you.
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: I want you to acknowledge the life.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: Remember the life.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Your faith becomes effective.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: Philemon verse 6.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: Your faith becomes effective by acknowledging the good thing that's in you.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: What's the good thing in you?
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: It's life.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: I'm a weak and foolish vessel.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: I really don't think, I think it's designed that in this earth life I never attain a standard of human perfection.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: And now I'm kind of thrilled by that idea because the excellence of this power will never be about me.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: I'll never be able again, I used to preach them, but I'll never again be able to preach a sermon that says, if you do like me, you'll be blessed too.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: If you'll do these things that I do, then you'll have favor.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: The excellency, the powers of him, I'll tell you, you've got favor because you got favor.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: He loves you, he's with you, he's in you.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: And light and favor is a part of that life that's happening.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: It's part of the expression of him who has expressed himself in you while you were in darkness, while you were weak.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: He's expressing himself.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: And because he's expressing himself, no wonder he can be patient because he knows what he's doing.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: He's expressing himself in you.
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: That's why he's not making demands, that's why it's agape, unconditional love.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: That's why he's not, he's not, you know, I like to say he's not trying to make the grass grow by pulling on it and saying, Come on, why are you so slow?
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: But if he wants the grass to grow, what's he gonna do?
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: He's gonna water it, he's gonna nurture you.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: Because life does that.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: What I'm trying to do, versus Matthew 6, 33, what I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: What did Jesus say you'll find rest for your soul?
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: To not, watch this, to not be so preoccupied with getting.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: So you can respond to God's giving.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: What is he giving you?
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: He came that you might have life.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: Rather than figuring out how can I get it, how can I get God to move?
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: What is God expecting of me?
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: How can I fulfill these things to get God in a corner of obligation so he finally has to answer my prayer?
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: Throw it away.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: Quit being so preoccupied with how do you get, but respond to what God has given and what he is giving through his expression of life.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: People that don't know God and the way he works, they fuss over these things.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: See, I have a vision.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: There's a revelation of the Father that's happening, and this is all this is a small part of it right here.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: And it's changing, and I believe it's gonna change the world.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: It looks like it's gonna take a long time to me.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: However, it is, God's got a vision that the whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of his glory.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: And how do how is the world gonna be filled with his glory?
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: Well, he spoke life in our darkness in order to give the light of the knowledge of that glory.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: And it won't be human reasoning, it won't be the kind of God that that human minds can accept without revelation.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: It'll be the kind that is spiritual, and it shows you a God whose love is so glorious that Christians won't be afraid of it anymore.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: They're afraid of it because they think love is good, but we still need to.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: They don't know the power of that love and that life and how it affects and changes things.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: And also, it's not gonna be because the church rises up and we we overthrow bad governments, it's gonna be the life expressing himself in us and through us that changes hearts and minds, one heart at a time, and it's beautiful.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Life is happening, and you know what?
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: We're not in this cosmic battle between good and evil.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: Life is already one, it's happening.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: The kingdom of God's here, it's within you, it's here.
- 41:33SPEAKER_00: Welcome home.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: And of the increase of this kingdom and of peace, there will be no end.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: Keep cutting the grass, it's gonna keep growing.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, let the let this political party do that, let this nation do that, nation, the heathen will rage and all this stuff, and life is just gonna keep happening.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: It's been happening, even if you just take it to where when Jesus came, it's been happening over 2,000 years, and all kinds of hells come against that.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna stop it.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: All kinds of hells come against you, come against me.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: It ain't stopping it.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: What's happening to you?
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: Life is still happening.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you've been disappointed, but life keeps happening.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you got confused, you didn't understand something, but life just kept happening, and it's gonna keep happening.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: So steep your life in God reality.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: This is working out your own salvation.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: Steep your life in God reality, God initiative, God provisions.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: You know what's really good about this?
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: You've got a source, you've got life.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: You're you is your body sick?
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: There's healing life inside of you, there's restoring life inside of you.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: You run out of money, there's a source of life that just keeps flowing.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: Relationship issues, there's life that's still happening in that place of darkness and pain.
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: Life will continue to happen.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: What I do is I look to that life and I say, I'm receiving of that life in this situation.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: I'm receiving of that life because I've got a source, a river that never runs dry.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: Don't worry about missing out, it says.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: You'll find all of your everyday human concerns will be met.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now.
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: What God is doing, what God is doing, not what we are supposed to be doing, or what somebody tells you you're supposed to be doing.
- 43:29SPEAKER_00: Give your entire attention to what God is doing now and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: God will help you deal with whatever hard things happen when the times come.
- 43:41SPEAKER_00: Would you all stand up?
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: You know why I believe in you?
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: Because I know you're weak and foolish vessels, but life is happening in you.
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: This thing has been set for your eternity.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: Father, I love you.
- 43:58SPEAKER_00: And I celebrate life today.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: And for this reason, I bow my knee to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: Today, we celebrate you.
- 44:13SPEAKER_00: Happy Father's Day, Father.
- 44:15SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 44:17SPEAKER_00: Thank you all for coming today.
