- 0:02Speaker 1: On scor MS Australia.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Winner, Panalty Show.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the reader. Panicky Show coming
- 0:11Speaker 3: up tonight and new Low for left wing protesters who
- 0:15Speaker 3: gathered outside of Cancer Charity to intimidate and harass guests.
- 0:20Speaker 3: My panel would join me to cover the day's top headlines.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Angus Taylor blasts the aerial culling of Brumbies in Kosiowsko
- 0:28Speaker 3: National Park. We'll discuss that with the Deputy President of
- 0:31Speaker 3: the Australian Brumbia Alliance, Josh Hammer. Will have the latest
- 0:35Speaker 3: from the US, including Iranian negotiators storming out of peace
- 0:39Speaker 3: talks in Switzerland, and Rosi o'donald will be filling in
- 0:44Speaker 3: as hosts of Jimmy Kimmel's awful late night show. Kinsey's
- 0:48Speaker 3: Schofield will have all your royal and entertainment news later
- 0:52Speaker 3: in the hour, and Left He's Losing It features an
- 0:56Speaker 3: overabundance of vapid stupidity. When you see somebody waving at
- 0:59Speaker 3: a second flag, what do.
- 1:00Speaker 4: You feel waits the premisiest sadness.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Do you think capitalism is evil?
- 1:06Speaker 5: Yes?
- 1:06Speaker 3: Oh, yes, yeah for sure. Do you hate America?
- 1:10Speaker 4: Yes?
- 1:11Speaker 3: But first the riot squad was called after more than
- 1:14Speaker 3: one hundred left wing protesters gathered outside a charity event
- 1:19Speaker 3: in Sydney on Saturday night. The event was to raise
- 1:22Speaker 3: money for brain cancer research, but that didn't stop protesters
- 1:27Speaker 3: from intimidating and shouting abuse at guests and allegedly shouting
- 1:32Speaker 3: death threats aimed at One Nation leader Pauline Hanson.
- 1:35Speaker 6: Let's have a look at Sport has been called in
- 1:38Speaker 6: as a large group of protesters gather outside a high
- 1:40Speaker 6: profile event in Piermont where some of the country's biggest
- 1:44Speaker 6: names are right now heading. Pauline Hanson is one of
- 1:46Speaker 6: the VIPs attending that charity ball where Nick Overall is
- 1:50Speaker 6: now Nick when is the One Nation leader due to
- 1:53Speaker 6: arrive there?
- 1:55Speaker 2: Well Angie.
- 1:56Speaker 7: Once again, dozens of protesters have gathered for the arrival
- 1:59Speaker 7: of Pauline Hands since she is set to get here
- 2:01Speaker 7: in the next hour with a personal security guard.
- 2:04Speaker 2: The Queensland senator says she is fearing.
- 2:06Speaker 7: For her life after receiving text messages threatening her, her family,
- 2:11Speaker 7: even her staff. Now I fem already on edge after
- 2:15Speaker 7: a security breach at the National Press Club.
- 2:17Speaker 3: The Rebel Ball charity event was organized by neurosearcheon doctor
- 2:22Speaker 3: Charlie Teo to raise money for brain cancer research. They
- 2:26Speaker 3: were literally protesting outside a cancer fundraiser where many of
- 2:31Speaker 3: the guests were personally touched by brain cancer, including grieving
- 2:35Speaker 3: family members. Let's bring in PR Council Managing director Christy
- 2:40Speaker 3: McSweeney and Sky News contributor Louise Roberts. Louise, I was there.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I was there to help her raise money for cancer research.
- 2:50Speaker 3: The event was a huge success in the end, raised
- 2:53Speaker 3: more than one point six million dollars. But this is
- 2:57Speaker 3: utterly shameful. Those scenes were disgraceful.
- 3:01Speaker 8: They were disgraceful, And I mean, how low do you
- 3:03Speaker 8: have to go to actually turn up at a cancer
- 3:05Speaker 8: charity event and protest and make those alleged death threats
- 3:08Speaker 8: as you say, reat her because the room was full
- 3:11Speaker 8: of people who only had one objective, and that is
- 3:13Speaker 8: to raise money for victims of brain cancer like yourself,
- 3:16Speaker 8: and you know, people who are there to raise money.
- 3:19Speaker 8: So it's absolutely appalling. And I don't blame Pauline actually
- 3:23Speaker 8: for not coming along at the end. And I do
- 3:25Speaker 8: hope she's reported those texts, those whatever threat she's had
- 3:29Speaker 8: by text to police and they are investigated because they
- 3:32Speaker 8: have to be stopped. And a politician should be able
- 3:34Speaker 8: to go to an event like that and help raise
- 3:36Speaker 8: its profile without worrying about someone attacking her or attacking
- 3:40Speaker 8: a member of her staff.
- 3:41Speaker 4: So I mean absolutely appalling. And the other thing as
- 3:44Speaker 4: well is that these people always.
- 3:46Speaker 8: Talk about safety and charity and welfare, but they're quite
- 3:49Speaker 8: happy to push those thoughts aside when they're taking aim
- 3:52Speaker 8: at a politician they don't like.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Just disgusting behavior.
- 3:58Speaker 3: To me, it is an elo Christian really is just
- 4:01Speaker 3: disgraceful antics. The cost of the riot squad that can't
- 4:06Speaker 3: be cheap. Why are they built for that?
- 4:09Speaker 4: Why aren't they?
- 4:10Speaker 9: And in New South Wales there is the permit system
- 4:13Speaker 9: if you have a protest. I want to know if
- 4:16Speaker 9: that was actually occurred, because I don't think should it
- 4:18Speaker 9: have been, it would have been granted. How low do
- 4:21Speaker 9: we get to go in society when the left views
- 4:24Speaker 9: charity as an opportunity to go out there and wave
- 4:28Speaker 9: their socialist placards which I saw in that clip there
- 4:32Speaker 9: and harass people who are friends and family of people
- 4:36Speaker 9: who have been affected by brain cancer.
- 4:38Speaker 3: And really on a side note, the event was organized
- 4:42Speaker 3: by the Charlie tier Foundation, and what's happened to him
- 4:45Speaker 3: is another disgrace to have someone of his caliber, such
- 4:50Speaker 3: a talented, compassionate neurosurgeon, who's now forced to operate overseas.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Australians are going overseas to be treated by him. Well,
- 5:00Speaker 3: talk about that in coming ways, because that's a disgrace
- 5:03Speaker 3: in itself. Now IPA research fellow. Colleen Harken, until recently
- 5:08Speaker 3: a state executive member of the Liberal Party and a
- 5:12Speaker 3: former candidate of the Liberal Party. Well she's now quit
- 5:16Speaker 3: the Liberals to join One Nation. We'll have Colleen on
- 5:19Speaker 3: the program tomorrow night. In an email to Liberal members
- 5:23Speaker 3: on Sunday, she wrote the party was in a insipid
- 5:27Speaker 3: state because of lack of policy conviction and that she
- 5:31Speaker 3: could not continue to be part of it. Louise Colin
- 5:35Speaker 3: Harken says, she's not changed. The Liberal Party has changed,
- 5:40Speaker 3: and I would gather that would be a fairly widely
- 5:42Speaker 3: held opinion.
- 5:44Speaker 8: Yes, I would agree with that, and I don't think
- 5:46Speaker 8: the Liberals can afford to lose people of Colleen's caliber
- 5:49Speaker 8: at all. You know, a very smart lady and a
- 5:51Speaker 8: great advocate for the Liberal Party. So the fact that
- 5:54Speaker 8: she's left is diabolical for them, and she's not the
- 5:57Speaker 8: only one. There's been several other high profile women we've
- 6:00Speaker 8: also left.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Because that I believe in the status of.
- 6:03Speaker 8: The party or the core values have just been so
- 6:07Speaker 8: this shelved, haven't they. They don't really stand for what women,
- 6:10Speaker 8: all conservative women actually want to advocate for and what
- 6:13Speaker 8: they believe in.
- 6:14Speaker 4: So yeah, it's a diabolical move for them.
- 6:17Speaker 8: And you know, I'll be interested to see what role
- 6:20Speaker 8: and how Collen describes being part.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Of One Nation. A very interesting to see that interview.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Christie. This is another blow for the Liberals. We hear
- 6:29Speaker 3: so much from the left about the Liberals having a
- 6:32Speaker 3: women's problem. I've long argued the only women problem they
- 6:36Speaker 3: have is with conservative women, and we've seen conservative women
- 6:40Speaker 3: attack within the party. In this state, we saw more
- 6:43Speaker 3: a deeming again almost she was replaced and then there
- 6:47Speaker 3: was a kerfuffle and she's now still the candidate. How
- 6:52Speaker 3: do you see high profile moves like this, What impact
- 6:56Speaker 3: will they have if any.
- 6:58Speaker 9: Look, I I don't think they're going to have an
- 7:01Speaker 9: impact right now. I think One Nation is having a
- 7:03Speaker 9: peak honeymoon moment rush and they are taking votes from
- 7:09Speaker 9: the coalition, they are taking votes from the Labor Party.
- 7:12Speaker 9: If one Nation is polling thirty one percent and the
- 7:15Speaker 9: coalition is polling eighteen percent, and that's across Yuga, Redbridge
- 7:19Speaker 9: in the Skypole. We saw here last week a lot
- 7:21Speaker 9: of those voters are coming also from the Labor Party.
- 7:25Speaker 9: They have to be for one nation to continue to
- 7:27Speaker 9: be accelerating, and we saw that in the South Australian
- 7:30Speaker 9: election as well. They were coming from Labor seats across
- 7:33Speaker 9: to one Nation. So we are having a cultural moment.
- 7:37Speaker 9: The Liberal Party, they do need to get their act
- 7:40Speaker 9: together out but it is really difficult with one nation
- 7:44Speaker 9: capturing the momentum for political parties to get clear air out.
- 7:49Speaker 9: There are people holding labor to account for this dismal
- 7:53Speaker 9: budget that is impacting so heavily on the future economy
- 7:57Speaker 9: of Australia, but not enough of them. And the more
- 8:01Speaker 9: the Liberal Party talks about one nation, the less they're
- 8:04Speaker 9: holding labor to account for their budget.
- 8:06Speaker 4: So the polls are.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Reflecting that wellis I think that is right. I think
- 8:09Speaker 3: it's a mistake for the Liberals the Nationals to be
- 8:12Speaker 3: attacking one nation as opposed to the Labor government. But
- 8:17Speaker 3: is it a little bit of wishful thinking to presume
- 8:20Speaker 3: that this is just an aberration, there's just a little
- 8:24Speaker 3: phase the Australian electorate is going through, or do you
- 8:28Speaker 3: think it is going to see we're seeing a political
- 8:32Speaker 3: realignment in this country and one nation are going to
- 8:34Speaker 3: be a force to be reckoned with.
- 8:36Speaker 4: I do. That's my position on it.
- 8:38Speaker 8: I think at first maybe we thought it was a
- 8:40Speaker 8: bit of a protest blip, but I think as specular,
- 8:44Speaker 8: say New South Wales, where there's a state election next March,
- 8:46Speaker 8: be very interesting to see how one nation puts their
- 8:49Speaker 8: candidates against sitting members as well, and just how they're
- 8:52Speaker 8: going to upend the whole New South Wales landscape as well,
- 8:56Speaker 8: where they're targeting regional rural seats, some of the western
- 8:59Speaker 8: Sydney seats they're going after as well. So I do
- 9:01Speaker 8: feel they're emboldened by the fact that their primary vote
- 9:05Speaker 8: seems to go up every single survey that we certainly
- 9:07Speaker 8: talk about here. Their primary vote is up all the time.
- 9:10Speaker 8: So I don't see them as a protests movement anymore.
- 9:13Speaker 8: I see them as a viable force and it'd be
- 9:15Speaker 8: very interesting to see how much power they get and
- 9:18Speaker 8: how many seats they get.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Now, Christy, we've had some shocking clearance results over the weekend.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Property market not doing too well. According to these auction
- 9:29Speaker 3: clearance rates are plunging to the lowest levels we've seen
- 9:33Speaker 3: since the pandemic. The Brisbane figure incredible. Brisbane's a clearance
- 9:37Speaker 3: rate was thirty three percent, Melbourne was at fifty one
- 9:42Speaker 3: and Sydney at forty seven percent. That's not good. The
- 9:46Speaker 3: people who think falling property prices or a depressed property
- 9:50Speaker 3: market is a good thing because it makes property more affordable,
- 9:55Speaker 3: but the overwhelming majority of Australians their home is their
- 9:59Speaker 3: biggest as and if it devalues, that is a bad sign.
- 10:03Speaker 3: And you're going to have people also in negative equity,
- 10:06Speaker 3: where they owe the bank more than the house is
- 10:09Speaker 3: now worth.
- 10:09Speaker 9: When we saw this in around early two thousands, people
- 10:14Speaker 9: did go into negative equity, particularly people in Sydney out
- 10:17Speaker 9: on those peri urban fringe who had bought house and
- 10:21Speaker 9: land packages in what was then relatively unbuilt up areas.
- 10:26Speaker 9: They never received the infrastructure, they never received the transport links,
- 10:30Speaker 9: and they wanted to sell their home and they couldn't.
- 10:33Speaker 9: They were in negative equity.
- 10:34Speaker 4: We're going to see it again.
- 10:36Speaker 9: Of course in Perth you can't buy a house for
- 10:38Speaker 9: love nor money. But if you turn up to an
- 10:41Speaker 9: auction in Melbourne or Sydney and you are a cash buyer,
- 10:45Speaker 9: all this does is benefit people who do not need
- 10:48Speaker 9: a loan from the bank and who can sell current assets.
- 10:52Speaker 9: And they are because they are taking it all out
- 10:55Speaker 9: of their self managed super funds and their share pop
- 10:58Speaker 9: folios because the government is going to take it from them.
- 11:01Speaker 4: So where does that have to go?
- 11:03Speaker 9: That goes in property and they're going to buy a
- 11:05Speaker 9: pretty good deal. But how many people in Australia, let
- 11:08Speaker 9: alone first home buyers who this budget was designed to help,
- 11:12Speaker 9: have cash money sitting in the bank to go and
- 11:15Speaker 9: take advantage of this. Not very many Australians. The rest
- 11:17Speaker 9: of them are worried how they're going to pay their
- 11:20Speaker 9: mortgage when their house price falls.
- 11:22Speaker 3: And you've got investors exiting the market, which Luise is
- 11:25Speaker 3: going to send rents up higher, which again is hurting
- 11:29Speaker 3: the very people that the albert Easy government said it
- 11:33Speaker 3: was trying to help with this budget.
- 11:35Speaker 8: Yes, that's right, they was sort of predicating that on
- 11:37Speaker 8: house prices falling, which they now are, which for all
- 11:41Speaker 8: the reasons we're talking about is actually a bad thing,
- 11:43Speaker 8: and somehow miraculously young home buyers can sweep in and
- 11:46Speaker 8: buy their first home. But less investment, you know, more
- 11:49Speaker 8: housing supply. You need investment to actually build the homes.
- 11:52Speaker 8: They don't build themselves, they don't get suddenly produced off
- 11:54Speaker 8: of you know, a boastful government sort of press release
- 11:58Speaker 8: or something like that, so that they don't seem to
- 12:00Speaker 8: have put the two things together that we need investment.
- 12:03Speaker 8: And you know, we know already okay, some of the
- 12:05Speaker 8: CGT stuff was wound back last week, but we know
- 12:08Speaker 8: that investors are eyeing off you know, Singapore and New
- 12:11Speaker 8: Zealand and the US and thinking about setting up and
- 12:14Speaker 8: incorporating their businesses there, and thinking Australia is actually a
- 12:17Speaker 8: bit of a bad apple when it comes from investment.
- 12:19Speaker 8: That's really bad. That's really bad for our housing market.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Now to the Herald Sun reporting that the Allen government's
- 12:27Speaker 3: three point six million dollar macheti ban ad blitz included
- 12:31Speaker 3: spending thirty seven thousand dollars to buy machetes, which they
- 12:36Speaker 3: took to Sydney to film the ads. Official documents and
- 12:40Speaker 3: invoices obtained by the Herald Sun show. More than forty
- 12:43Speaker 3: percent of the entire Machete Banned budget was spent on radio,
- 12:47Speaker 3: regional newspapers and social media ads promoting the machete bin program.
- 12:54Speaker 3: In one invoice seen by The Herald Sun, the Allen
- 12:57Speaker 3: government paid a massive one hundred and sixty three thousand
- 13:00Speaker 3: dollars for an eight hour film and photography shoot at
- 13:04Speaker 3: Preston Police Station. However, a subsequent invoice revealed the station,
- 13:10Speaker 3: which is open twenty four hours a day, seven days
- 13:12Speaker 3: a week, was not available to shoot the aad. So
- 13:16Speaker 3: what did they do? In seat of finding another Victorian
- 13:19Speaker 3: police station? The government spent an additional thirty seven thousand
- 13:23Speaker 3: dollars to film the ads in Sydney and purchase machetes
- 13:28Speaker 3: as props, which that were transported into State Christy. I
- 13:32Speaker 3: mean this sounds like a comedy skit. It really does.
- 13:35Speaker 3: I mean, it's hard to believe any of this is real.
- 13:38Speaker 10: You cannot make this up, canyo. From start to finish,
- 13:43Speaker 10: the fact that an ad campaign was necessary, that we
- 13:47Speaker 10: had to buy bins that we thought criminals would just
- 13:50Speaker 10: blindly go off and drop off their illegal machete in
- 13:55Speaker 10: the bin, and then we want to make ads about it.
- 13:57Speaker 4: I don't know why you bother making it ad.
- 13:59Speaker 9: Just go down Chapel Straight or just go out to
- 14:03Speaker 9: the suburbs of Melbourne do a reality TV ad.
- 14:06Speaker 4: You can find the footage of people using.
- 14:09Speaker 9: Actual machetes and breaking into your house and trying to
- 14:13Speaker 9: steal your car, or fire bombing your restaurant, or trying
- 14:17Speaker 9: to extort you for a legal alcohol interac I mean.
- 14:22Speaker 10: It is incredible. You don't need to spend money on ads.
- 14:26Speaker 4: Just go out with a camera. You can find it.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Louise, that is one hundred percent true. We have so
- 14:32Speaker 3: many videos of machete attacks sadly in this city. The
- 14:37Speaker 3: fact that they went over to Sydney to fill these
- 14:40Speaker 3: ads and bought machines as props, I mean, my gosh,
- 14:44Speaker 3: are you just laughing at us up in Sydney and
- 14:47Speaker 3: elsewhere in the country.
- 14:48Speaker 8: Well, certainly for toy is an embarrassing when it comes
- 14:51Speaker 8: to machete and many other things. I would argue as well,
- 14:53Speaker 8: bought a great story about Harold Son.
- 14:55Speaker 4: I agree, absolute cracker.
- 14:57Speaker 8: I think apart from the prop machetes, they are also
- 15:00Speaker 8: paying to retouch photos of said machetes and machete bins
- 15:04Speaker 8: and someone in handcuffs. I mean, why the Hollywood treatment
- 15:07Speaker 8: on something which is meant to be a public safety
- 15:09Speaker 8: campaign or was it a public relations exercise for the
- 15:13Speaker 8: Allen government maybe?
- 15:16Speaker 4: But money spent? Yeah, but yeah, just appalling.
- 15:19Speaker 8: And they say that eighteen thousand weapons were handed in,
- 15:22Speaker 8: but we don't know how many machetes. And I'd love
- 15:24Speaker 8: to know because then you could work out on that
- 15:26Speaker 8: spend how much it cost to bring each machete in
- 15:30Speaker 8: provided by the three point six million they'll ever tell us,
- 15:32Speaker 8: of course.
- 15:33Speaker 3: But well, and I would imagine those machetes would be
- 15:36Speaker 3: from law abiding citizens who perhaps use them in their
- 15:40Speaker 3: overgrown gardens or for other legitimate purposes which they now
- 15:46Speaker 3: can't do. But I can't see too many gang bangers
- 15:49Speaker 3: handing in the machetes. Risdomic Sweening, Louis Roberts, thank you
- 15:53Speaker 3: so much for your time.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Bangs are you?
- 15:55Speaker 3: Angus Taylor has blasted the aerial culling of brumbi Is
- 16:00Speaker 3: in Kosiosco National Park. Aerial shooting of brumby Is resumed
- 16:04Speaker 3: on June nine and will continue for the rest of
- 16:07Speaker 3: the month. The opposition leader addressed a crowd of protesters
- 16:11Speaker 3: at the Old Kandre Courthouse on Saturday morning, saying he
- 16:15Speaker 3: was against the coal and wanted to see Brumbis protected.
- 16:19Speaker 3: He also said it was inhumane and unnecessary. Joining me
- 16:23Speaker 3: now is Deputy President of the Australian Brumbi Alliance, Colleen Chrestensen. Colleen,
- 16:30Speaker 3: I've got to say I agree with Angus Taylor here
- 16:32Speaker 3: one hundred percent. I've seen footage of this coal previous culs,
- 16:38Speaker 3: and it is cruel. It's unnecessary, and I think it's
- 16:43Speaker 3: a sign of a bureaucracy that has no idea about
- 16:46Speaker 3: the natural environment.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Read the weeks from there the ABA. But it's so cruel,
- 16:53Speaker 1: break humane and aerial. Colleen was banned some years ago
- 16:57Speaker 1: for reason and we just horrified that we seeing it
- 17:00Speaker 1: back in the current landscape. It's just a sign of
- 17:05Speaker 1: dropping our animal welfare standards. Look blessed Anchius for turning
- 17:09Speaker 1: up on Saturday. I think that any politician from any
- 17:12Speaker 1: persuasion had actually given their time to the rally to
- 17:16Speaker 1: talk rationally about ferial culing and to support people in
- 17:21Speaker 1: their opposition of it would have been very welcome that day.
- 17:25Speaker 1: But looks seriously, it's unnecessary. The ABA is particularly concerned
- 17:30Speaker 1: with a false urgency with which Austrains are being sold
- 17:34Speaker 1: the need to go out and shoot horses from helicopters.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It's possible, but my goodness, it's not likely to get
- 17:41Speaker 1: a clean shot from a helicopter.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Well that's the concern, isn't it. It's very difficult to
- 17:47Speaker 3: get a clean shot from a helicopter of a Brumbi
- 17:50Speaker 3: that's moving at speed, so those debts can be slow
- 17:54Speaker 3: and cruel. What could be done to stop this inhumane slaughter?
- 18:01Speaker 1: Well, I think that's a really good question, because we
- 18:04Speaker 1: think that we have always thought that the Brumby population
- 18:09Speaker 1: does have to be managed. I think Australians, particularly in
- 18:12Speaker 1: New South Wales, are being sold this myth that it's
- 18:15Speaker 1: the mountains or it's the horses. If you don't get
- 18:18Speaker 1: rid of the bumbies, suddenly everything's going to go pairly
- 18:21Speaker 1: shaped in the mountains and they're the sole cause of
- 18:24Speaker 1: everything that's going wrong there. But what we like to
- 18:28Speaker 1: do is we would like to see the New South
- 18:30Speaker 1: Wales government actually pause and first of all, just look
- 18:35Speaker 1: seriously at the numbers they're using to justify this cull.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Where the numbers don't pass the pub test, they really don't.
- 18:43Speaker 1: There's no way that the increase in numbers over the
- 18:47Speaker 1: last twelve months could have been biologically possible. We were
- 18:50Speaker 1: told last year there was around four thousand. That would
- 18:53Speaker 1: have meant a population increase of at most hundreds, and
- 18:58Speaker 1: that number could be managed by your main management strategies
- 19:01Speaker 1: like like noting your main strategies like passage, trapping and rehoming.
- 19:09Speaker 1: We want the government to stop, pause review and talk
- 19:14Speaker 1: to the community for once, particularly the local community, but
- 19:17Speaker 1: also the community that has been rehoming these horses for
- 19:21Speaker 1: so long.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Colin Christensen, thank you so much for your time tonight.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 19:28Speaker 3: After the break, Lefties Losing It and the latest US
- 19:33Speaker 3: news including Iranian negotiators storming out of peace talks, Josh
- 19:37Speaker 3: Hammer is up next. You're watching the Reader Paney Show,
- 19:51Speaker 3: and it's time for Lefties Losing It. Let's start with
- 19:56Speaker 3: eleven seconds of pure weapon grade stupidity. When you see
- 20:00Speaker 3: somebody living in an American flag, what do.
- 20:01Speaker 4: You feel, waite supremacist sadness?
- 20:04Speaker 2: Do you think capitalism is evil?
- 20:07Speaker 5: Yes?
- 20:07Speaker 1: Or yes?
- 20:09Speaker 3: Yeah for sure? Do you hate America?
- 20:11Speaker 4: Yes?
- 20:12Speaker 3: Now to the glaring need to make asylums great again.
- 20:16Speaker 3: We need to reopen the asylums people, all of them.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Who else can help people who are literally marching for destruction,
- 20:24Speaker 3: who are marching for algae. Yes, you heard that right, algae.
- 20:29Speaker 3: They are literally chanting for algae as algie. Let's go,
- 20:36Speaker 3: let's go halj let's go, let's go algaie. God send
- 20:42Speaker 3: the algae. God, blank God, joh blank God, God God.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Americans call it algae. We call it algae, and I
- 20:53Speaker 3: say we are right. Don't play God, God sent the
- 20:56Speaker 3: algae they chanted. Presumably these people don't go to the
- 21:00Speaker 3: doctor when they have a horrible disease because after all,
- 21:03Speaker 3: God centered. Now to the ladies of the view, this
- 21:06Speaker 3: will be their first entry of the week, but it
- 21:09Speaker 3: won't be their last. There are prolific lefties losing it
- 21:13Speaker 3: contributors here, the perpetually miserable Sunny Houston wines and wines
- 21:19Speaker 3: about the Knicks going to the White House.
- 21:21Speaker 11: Is it a reason why every single the previous five
- 21:25Speaker 11: NBA champions crowned during the Trump administration refused to go.
- 21:29Speaker 11: I think there's a reason for it, and that's because he
- 21:31Speaker 11: politicizes the events that come before him.
- 21:34Speaker 2: That's one of the problems.
- 21:35Speaker 4: I don't think you.
- 21:36Speaker 11: Can separate Trump from the White House.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Not to be outdone, whoopee, Goldberg jumps in with her
- 21:42Speaker 3: own equally stupid victim playing take.
- 21:46Speaker 12: I want them to go, do you? I want all
- 21:48Speaker 12: those black men.
- 21:53Speaker 3: To stand in.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Our house.
- 21:58Speaker 12: And remind all of those people, as we try to
- 22:02Speaker 12: remind the Vice president that when you try to destroy
- 22:08Speaker 12: one part of history, you are destroying all of our histories.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Oh well, Pi, you had the Vice President sitting right
- 22:15Speaker 3: there next to you, and you could not name a
- 22:17Speaker 3: single incident of black history being erased or diminished. Now,
- 22:23Speaker 3: while the World Cup is taking America by storm, good
- 22:26Speaker 3: vibes everywhere. Let's have a look at what is happening
- 22:30Speaker 3: in the UK. Watch what happens in a London pub
- 22:34Speaker 3: where a bunch of lefties are losing it gang up
- 22:37Speaker 3: on right wing commentator Katie Hopkins. This is the true
- 22:42Speaker 3: ugly face of the modern left. They're nasty, intolerant and
- 22:46Speaker 3: increasingly unhinged with hate. Charming. Now I have some great
- 23:19Speaker 3: news for you, folks. Kamala Harris is back. Yes, the
- 23:22Speaker 3: woman who blew more than one point five billion dollars
- 23:25Speaker 3: in just fifteen weeks to lose every swing state, lose
- 23:29Speaker 3: the popular vote and lose the electoral college in a landslide.
- 23:33Speaker 3: She got beat so bad that she now wants to
- 23:36Speaker 3: change the system. She wants to talk about eliminating the
- 23:40Speaker 3: electoral college. Talk about a threat to democracy.
- 23:43Speaker 13: I think that there is some real shaking up that
- 23:46Speaker 13: we have to do of the rules and the structure.
- 23:50Speaker 2: And is that get rid of the electoral college.
- 23:54Speaker 13: I think we should. That should be a discussion that
- 23:57Speaker 13: we should have. I don't think we should eliminate that
- 24:01Speaker 13: as a point of discussion for potential action.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Yes, she's a dit seat threat to democracy. And it
- 24:09Speaker 3: wouldn't be a Kamala interview without an incoherent word salad
- 24:14Speaker 3: an attempt to inspire her fellow man with rambling nonsensical
- 24:19Speaker 3: motherhood statements. I really truly believe this.
- 24:22Speaker 13: We each have light inside of us, and we need
- 24:27Speaker 13: to know that that is what inspires our hope as
- 24:30Speaker 13: much as anything external to ourselves.
- 24:33Speaker 3: And when we feel that.
- 24:35Speaker 13: And not allow an election or an individual to dampen
- 24:40Speaker 13: that light and instead light let that light kind of
- 24:45Speaker 13: carry us, in particular through moments of darkness, that we
- 24:49Speaker 13: not only act on that hope, but we inspire that
- 24:53Speaker 13: hope in each other, and in particular at this moment.
- 24:59Speaker 13: It is so it's so important that we not only
- 25:03Speaker 13: have hope, but that we understand that that should be
- 25:06Speaker 13: a verb.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Good Lord, hope is a verber kamala also a noun
- 25:11Speaker 3: That rambling word salad could have just been summed up
- 25:15Speaker 3: in two words like remain hopeful or stay positive. Sometimes
- 25:21Speaker 3: less is more kamala, less is more. Joining me now
- 25:25Speaker 3: is Newsweek Senior editor at Large, Josh Hammer. Josh, She's
- 25:30Speaker 3: not going anywhere. She must be looking around at the
- 25:33Speaker 3: meager talent pool among the Democrats and thinking, I've got
- 25:38Speaker 3: a shot. I've got a shot to be president, or
- 25:41Speaker 3: at least the presidential candidate for the Democrats.
- 25:45Speaker 2: You know, Rita, If I personally sounded that's appallingly stupid
- 25:50Speaker 2: every time that I opened my mouth, I would like
- 25:53Speaker 2: to think that I would have the good sense decency
- 25:56Speaker 2: to hide my head in a paper bag for the
- 25:58Speaker 2: rest of my adult's life. But not this woman. Not
- 26:00Speaker 2: this woman. She has no shame, no shame whatsoever, because
- 26:04Speaker 2: she is out there for god knows what reason. She
- 26:06Speaker 2: apparently was considering getting involved in the California governor race.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Thank goodness, she passed on that, probably because she's eyeing
- 26:12Speaker 2: as you as you correctly intimates the White House in
- 26:15Speaker 2: two thousand and twenty eight. But really, has there ever
- 26:19Speaker 2: been any figure in American history, or any major Western
- 26:23Speaker 2: country's history for that matter, at least over the past
- 26:25Speaker 2: one hundred years who has said so much and yet
- 26:28Speaker 2: simultaneously has actually said so little. I mean, even on
- 26:31Speaker 2: this wedge left wing issue, this deeply deeply anti democratic,
- 26:36Speaker 2: anti republican, anti constitutional, dare I even say kind of
- 26:39Speaker 2: sort of fascist notion that we should just go ahead
- 26:42Speaker 2: and abolished the electoral college, Even on this, she can't even
- 26:45Speaker 2: take a stand. She's just saying we shouldn't eliminate it. There,
- 26:48Speaker 2: So not only is she is she saying nothing, but
- 26:51Speaker 2: she has no courage, she has no convictions. She's just
- 26:54Speaker 2: trying to say whatever it takes to get by. And
- 26:56Speaker 2: that ultimately is because Kamala Harris believes in absolutely nothing
- 26:59Speaker 2: whatsoever other than in Kamala Harris, So frankly is somewhat
- 27:03Speaker 2: hard to believe, because there's not a whole lot to
- 27:04Speaker 2: believe in, flank when it comes to Commiris, because she's
- 27:06Speaker 2: actually really just that stupid. But she is looking at
- 27:08Speaker 2: the rest of the field. She's looking at her old
- 27:10Speaker 2: Sy Francisco pal Gavinustream. She's looking at people like Ramamanuel
- 27:15Speaker 2: and Josh Shapiro and God help us, Jasmine Crocketts and
- 27:18Speaker 2: AOC and the rest of the far left idiot squad,
- 27:21Speaker 2: and she probably sees kind of sort of an opening there. Unfortunately,
- 27:25Speaker 2: when Kamala Harris is an opening, the rest of Americans
- 27:27Speaker 2: see a brick wall. And again, really, if she had
- 27:30Speaker 2: any says about here, she would just retired and spend
- 27:32Speaker 2: the rest of her life doing god knows how what,
- 27:35Speaker 2: probably getting some fat content to write some stupid book.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Any of that would be better than what she's currently
- 27:39Speaker 2: doing with which which is muddying our discourse and send
- 27:42Speaker 2: the stages for a horrific presidential run. I fear.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Now. Overnight, the Trump administration was hoping to advance peace
- 27:50Speaker 3: talks with the Iranian regime after the two countries that
- 27:54Speaker 3: entered into a memorandum of understanding. Vice President JD. Vance
- 27:59Speaker 3: will Speak heading the negotiations in Switzerland. He'd expressed hopes
- 28:04Speaker 3: of improving relations with Iran, but the Iranians stormed out
- 28:10Speaker 3: of the peace talks after the US president clearly fed up,
- 28:14Speaker 3: threatened to seize the strait of Hormus and blow the
- 28:19Speaker 3: s out of them if Iran persisted in breaking the agreement.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Josh Iranian state media has reported that the talks were
- 28:28Speaker 3: abandoned after just eighty minutes, following and I quote an
- 28:32Speaker 3: insulting message by the US President.
- 28:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I mean really, who in the world could have passed
- 28:39Speaker 2: be seen this coming? Right? I mean truly truly, who
- 28:42Speaker 2: in the rain mind could have seen this one coming?
- 28:44Speaker 2: I mean, I, for one, rider have any skeptic of
- 28:47Speaker 2: the intense efforts to try to get this rat regime
- 28:50Speaker 2: down the table. I have been an outspoken critic of
- 28:54Speaker 2: this MoU which I feel gives the regime everything they want.
- 28:56Speaker 2: There I frankly do not think what the ministruation is
- 28:58Speaker 2: thinking on this one. I support virtually everything this administration does.
- 29:02Speaker 2: There have been very, very few things that disagree with this, unfortunately,
- 29:05Speaker 2: I think is probably highest on the list in the
- 29:07Speaker 2: entire second Trump term. He called a ceasefire prematurely back
- 29:10Speaker 2: on April eighth, And there's no hormon giving diplomacy a shot,
- 29:13Speaker 2: but one you have to make sure that you're actually
- 29:16Speaker 2: applying pressure to really get the best deal possible as
- 29:18Speaker 2: opposed to trying to give the opponents everything they want.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Two is, you have to remember ultimately who you're dealing
- 29:23Speaker 2: with here. I hear a lot of talk from the administration,
- 29:26Speaker 2: whether whether it's the Vice President or others, who say, oh,
- 29:28Speaker 2: they're putting on a moderate face, Oh, they want to
- 29:30Speaker 2: have nice relation with the West. But the folks that
- 29:33Speaker 2: they're talking to are just frontmen. They are just frontmen
- 29:37Speaker 2: for the Moles, for the Ayatola, for this most radical
- 29:40Speaker 2: eschatological twelfth imam imanitizing SHII supremacist, radical regime. And unfortunately,
- 29:46Speaker 2: we are now learning this the hard way in real time.
- 29:48Speaker 2: So when the weekend starting on Friday, very day, I
- 29:51Speaker 2: said on my own show that let's see if this
- 29:53Speaker 2: thing lasts the weekend. Here we are on Monday, and frankly,
- 29:56Speaker 2: I'm not even sure that the answer is yes. So
- 29:58Speaker 2: that's going to blow up in a Raka's face to
- 30:00Speaker 2: the extent that it hasn't already. And this was evidently predictable,
- 30:03Speaker 2: and I hate to say it was right, but I
- 30:04Speaker 2: guess I was indeed right on this one. There we
- 30:06Speaker 2: will see what happens there. But ultimately the Ball will
- 30:09Speaker 2: get back into Trump's court to do whatever it is
- 30:12Speaker 2: that he thinks he has to do. Ultimately. Read, if
- 30:14Speaker 2: I'm making a prediction here, I do not think that
- 30:15Speaker 2: there will actually be any hostilities at least until the
- 30:18Speaker 2: Mentro elections in November. That there is a possibility that
- 30:21Speaker 2: there will be more kinetic action after that there, but
- 30:24Speaker 2: for now, if I'm making this prediction there, I think
- 30:27Speaker 2: that Trump wants the energy markets to be stable so
- 30:29Speaker 2: badly that he will probably say and do anything he
- 30:31Speaker 2: can to try to give off the illusion of some
- 30:34Speaker 2: sort of short term stasis with this regime, even if
- 30:36Speaker 2: the regime does not want that sort of stasis.
- 30:40Speaker 3: I want to play you a clip from Vice President JD.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Vans who delivered a message to the Israelis who were
- 30:47Speaker 3: attacking President Trump after the Memorandum of Understanding was signed.
- 30:52Speaker 14: Listen, my message to them would be twofold number one.
- 30:56Speaker 14: Donald J. Trump is the only head of state in
- 31:00Speaker 14: the entire world who is sympathetic to the nation of
- 31:04Speaker 14: Israel at this moment in time, and he happens to
- 31:07Speaker 14: be the head of state of the world's superpower. If
- 31:10Speaker 14: I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I
- 31:12Speaker 14: might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I
- 31:16Speaker 14: have anywhere left in the entire world. And the second
- 31:19Speaker 14: message I would give to some of those cabinet members
- 31:22Speaker 14: BB to his credit, has not gone down this path,
- 31:25Speaker 14: But to some of these cabinet members in Israel who
- 31:27Speaker 14: are attacking the President of the United States, the other
- 31:29Speaker 14: thing that I would say is that over the last
- 31:31Speaker 14: three months, two thirds of the defensive weapons that have
- 31:35Speaker 14: protected your homeland have been built by American hands and
- 31:40Speaker 14: paid for by American tax dollars. The problem for Israel
- 31:44Speaker 14: is not Donald J. Trump, and anybody in Israel who
- 31:48Speaker 14: thinks their biggest problem is the President of the United
- 31:50Speaker 14: States needs to wake up and smell the reality of
- 31:54Speaker 14: the situation that country is in.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Josh, what's your response to that? That was a message
- 31:59Speaker 3: that was very well received by many in the GOP,
- 32:05Speaker 3: but it was also a very controversial message that upset
- 32:08Speaker 3: certain segments of the Trump administration. Supporter bays how do
- 32:13Speaker 3: you see it?
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah, So there's a colonel of truth there, perhaps more
- 32:17Speaker 2: than a colonel of truth, especially at the end where
- 32:19Speaker 2: jd Vance correctly he says that no one has done
- 32:21Speaker 2: more when it comes to the USA's relationship than President Trump.
- 32:24Speaker 2: It's frankly nymen closed. Donald Trump is by far the
- 32:26Speaker 2: most prosul president. I would argue, actually, he's the most
- 32:29Speaker 2: pro Jewish president in American history. His track record is
- 32:33Speaker 2: completely completely unassailable on these grounds. Having said that, the
- 32:37Speaker 2: rest of that statement from the Vice President I think
- 32:39Speaker 2: is utterly disgusting. First of all, he began with a
- 32:42Speaker 2: factually inaccurate statement, a straight up lie that he said
- 32:45Speaker 2: from the White House lectern where he said that Donald Trump,
- 32:48Speaker 2: he alleged, is the only head of states to actually
- 32:50Speaker 2: like Israel. That is just a lie. You have Hayard
- 32:53Speaker 2: Malaye Argentina. You have the leader of the world's most
- 32:55Speaker 2: populous country, for God's sake. You have Nourendra Modi, who
- 32:59Speaker 2: is the head of India. Again, a lot of population,
- 33:02Speaker 2: very very pro bb very pro India. I could go
- 33:04Speaker 2: on and on here, but it would get to be
- 33:06Speaker 2: a little bit pedantic. So the point is, why did
- 33:09Speaker 2: the Vice President feel the need to do this? Well,
- 33:11Speaker 2: I don't really know, other than the fact that he
- 33:12Speaker 2: has still not yet given up on his friendship with
- 33:14Speaker 2: Tucker Carlson. But there's really no one who I can
- 33:17Speaker 2: discern rita in the Israeli governments might have not loosted
- 33:20Speaker 2: every single cantnist or they like they have a lot
- 33:22Speaker 2: of cabinet posts there. But you have a lot of
- 33:24Speaker 2: people criticizing the MoU, probably because the MoU stinks. It's
- 33:28Speaker 2: flaming garbage. That's very different than criticizing the president himself.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I didn't see anyone saying Donald Trump has abandoned the relationship,
- 33:37Speaker 2: he has abandoned the Middle East. I might have missed it.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I'm humble out to say I might have missed the
- 33:42Speaker 2: headline there. I didn't see any of that. I saw
- 33:43Speaker 2: a lot of people criticizing the substance of the MoU
- 33:46Speaker 2: because it is a Barack Obama esque capitulation. Is a
- 33:49Speaker 2: very very very bad deal. It's probably not even gonna
- 33:52Speaker 2: make it for much longer than that you and I
- 33:55Speaker 2: are talking right now, because as we talked about already,
- 33:57Speaker 2: the Ryans are walking away there, so it's a garbage deal.
- 34:00Speaker 2: I think Jady Vans has made a political error in
- 34:02Speaker 2: attaching himself so closely to this deal. And if I
- 34:05Speaker 2: had to make a guest reader from being honest here,
- 34:07Speaker 2: I think the person probably benefits. Most of that actually
- 34:09Speaker 2: is Marco Rubio in the long term.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Well, I was gonna ask about Marco Rubio. Is this
- 34:15Speaker 3: a tactic by the Trump administration to have JD. Van
- 34:19Speaker 3: spearhead these negotiations and if they ease fail, then Rubio
- 34:24Speaker 3: will step in to spearhead the next set of talks.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Where is he on this memorandum of understanding? Has he
- 34:33Speaker 3: been speaking in favor of it publicly?
- 34:37Speaker 2: Well, he hasn't really said a whole lot because he
- 34:39Speaker 2: doesn't like it. Because we know from Axios and other
- 34:42Speaker 2: reporters who got scoops from the inside that at least
- 34:46Speaker 2: Marco Rubio at State, Pete Haigseth at the War Department,
- 34:49Speaker 2: and John Rackleft, the director of SAA all apparently oppose
- 34:53Speaker 2: this MLU because again, they are the ones who seem
- 34:55Speaker 2: to be the most clear headed when it comes to
- 34:57Speaker 2: the issue of Iran, and they correctly unders stood and
- 35:00Speaker 2: saw this was a horrific deal for the United States.
- 35:02Speaker 2: So I think the Rubio is basically just recognizing that
- 35:05Speaker 2: this is the this is the hand that Trump is
- 35:07Speaker 2: playing right now. We can debate why he's doing it,
- 35:09Speaker 2: but this is the hand that Trump is playing. There
- 35:10Speaker 2: so Rubio, I think it is very smartly prudentially taking
- 35:14Speaker 2: a step back and saying, Okay, you want to do this,
- 35:16Speaker 2: let's try it there. But I am not going to
- 35:18Speaker 2: associate my name and my credibility to this. And frankly,
- 35:22Speaker 2: it seems to me that there are there is some
- 35:24Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight political calculation going on here as well.
- 35:27Speaker 2: So Rubio has said time and time again that he
- 35:30Speaker 2: is not going to run for presidents if JD. Vance runs.
- 35:33Speaker 2: There are two things to say real quick on that.
- 35:35Speaker 2: One is that, first of all, politicians say this all
- 35:37Speaker 2: the freaking time, it doesn't actually mean a whole lot.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Second of all, there's there's a there's also a rumor
- 35:42Speaker 2: that Jade Vance actually might not run. The Daily Mail
- 35:45Speaker 2: was actually running that story two weeks ago. It probably
- 35:47Speaker 2: came from a seed to plant in JD World plant
- 35:50Speaker 2: that story there. I don't know. I think JD probably runs.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I think Marco probably runs. Two. So if you're looking
- 35:55Speaker 2: at twenty twenty eight, and this is actually a very
- 35:57Speaker 2: smart play by Marco, because this deal is stupid. It's
- 35:59Speaker 2: really dumb. And if you're looking at your top potential rival,
- 36:03Speaker 2: make him the face fits when this deal and Nevillie
- 36:05Speaker 2: blows up and blows up in the United States face,
- 36:08Speaker 2: which is happening in real time as you and I speak.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Then Mark Rubioll benefited twenty twenty eight assult that there,
- 36:13Speaker 2: but right now he opposed it Internally. He apparently told
- 36:16Speaker 2: President Trump he did not think it was a good
- 36:17Speaker 2: da if you believe Axios and the other reporters, And
- 36:20Speaker 2: right now he's not going to associate his name and
- 36:22Speaker 2: credibility when it comes to the Iran issue to this deal.
- 36:27Speaker 3: The Trump administration they know they have to get out
- 36:30Speaker 3: of this conflict before the midterms. The midterms are looming,
- 36:34Speaker 3: and this war is unpopular. They are in a very
- 36:38Speaker 3: difficult position. As we've been discussing for well a couple
- 36:41Speaker 3: of months now. I'll ask you about the World Cup.
- 36:44Speaker 3: It's underway, and there is patriotism across America, even in
- 36:48Speaker 3: unexpected places like lefty Heartland Sea Ashle, where the crowd
- 36:54Speaker 3: other than the Aussies in the crowd sang the anthem
- 36:57Speaker 3: with pride, and after a two neel victory, the crowd
- 37:20Speaker 3: were singing country roads. But you wouldn't have expected any
- 37:39Speaker 3: of that if you read the Seattle Times. This was
- 37:41Speaker 3: their reporting, warning that some Seattle soccer fans have mixed
- 37:46Speaker 3: feelings about patriotically backing the US team during the FIFA
- 37:50Speaker 3: Men's World Cup given the actions of President Donald Trump. Josh,
- 37:55Speaker 3: tell me about the mood in the country right now.
- 37:58Speaker 3: There were people who said the anthem at the stadium
- 38:02Speaker 3: was the loudest that herd it anywhere.
- 38:06Speaker 2: So, Rita, I live here in South Florida. There are
- 38:08Speaker 2: matches over the course of the tournaments here in South Florida.
- 38:11Speaker 2: They are some of the most expensive tickets I have
- 38:12Speaker 2: seen in my entire life as a sports fan, and
- 38:15Speaker 2: I'm a pretty big sportsman, have been my entire life.
- 38:17Speaker 2: There is a lot, a lot of desire here to
- 38:19Speaker 2: attend these games, to cheer on Team USA. And by
- 38:22Speaker 2: the way, it's not just the American fans themselves. We're
- 38:25Speaker 2: having a great time. There's been no shortage of foreigners,
- 38:28Speaker 2: especially a lot of Europeans will come here to cheer
- 38:31Speaker 2: on their teams and they're live blogging, they're live tweeting
- 38:34Speaker 2: their experience there. They're having the time of their freaking lives.
- 38:37Speaker 2: I mean, there's this one guy, Freddie Freddy from Germany
- 38:40Speaker 2: has become an Internet sensation all across the world. Probably
- 38:43Speaker 2: there in Australia too. I imagine Freddie is just blogging
- 38:47Speaker 2: about how he's been amazed by the Cajun chicken in
- 38:51Speaker 2: Louisiana and the river and the fishing and this and that,
- 38:55Speaker 2: the Pyramid and Memphis. There. These people are seeing America
- 38:58Speaker 2: and they are loving it. They are actually seeing these
- 39:00Speaker 2: small towns saying, oh my god, this is what it
- 39:02Speaker 2: means to be poor in America. This would be a
- 39:04Speaker 2: freaking mansion back in central or western Europe there, and
- 39:08Speaker 2: they're just loving it. And it's a really important cultural
- 39:11Speaker 2: moment because it's one of these weird intersections of culture
- 39:14Speaker 2: and sports. And at a time like this where Americans
- 39:17Speaker 2: tell polsters over and over and over again they have
- 39:20Speaker 2: declining faith in their country, decline trust in their government, declining,
- 39:26Speaker 2: this decline that it is a reminder that those who
- 39:28Speaker 2: are not of buy and for this lamb, but who
- 39:30Speaker 2: are just secure to visit it. They see what we
- 39:32Speaker 2: have here in America and they're like, whoa, you guys
- 39:35Speaker 2: have it really good. Don't take this for granted. There.
- 39:37Speaker 2: It's very very easy to get depressed here in the US.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Following or politics, we have very raucous politics. Our media
- 39:43Speaker 2: are invariably horrible, and on and on and on, but
- 39:47Speaker 2: every so often it's important to step back, look at
- 39:49Speaker 2: what the foreigners are saying there and say, you know what,
- 39:51Speaker 2: they're right. My country is good. And that's why I
- 39:53Speaker 2: think you see a lot of pagotism cheering on good
- 39:55Speaker 2: old Team USA as well.
- 39:58Speaker 3: It's my favorite new trend on social media. So many
- 40:01Speaker 3: of these videos popping up Australians but mainly Europeans, just
- 40:06Speaker 3: saying the media lied to us, Our media lied to
- 40:09Speaker 3: us about America. It's nothing like we expected. These are
- 40:12Speaker 3: people who often have not seen America beyond La San Francisco,
- 40:17Speaker 3: New York, where the tourists typically go, and they're actually
- 40:20Speaker 3: seeing real America. They're going to different states and seeing
- 40:24Speaker 3: it's very different to the news they've been sold. Josh Hamma,
- 40:28Speaker 3: thank you so much for your time. Tonight, Coming up,
- 40:32Speaker 3: Jimmy Kimmel's taking some time off from his late night
- 40:35Speaker 3: TV show and he's been replaced by an equally insufferable lefty.
- 40:40Speaker 3: We'll have more on that with Kinsey Schofield Welcome back.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Joining me now is host of the Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered Podcast, Kinsey,
- 40:59Speaker 3: Let's talk about it. Jimmy Kimmel announcing Rosie o'donald will
- 41:03Speaker 3: be temporarily taking over his late night program. He's going
- 41:07Speaker 3: to be stepping back for a two months sabbatical. She
- 41:11Speaker 3: joins the list of other guest hosts, including Tiffany Hattish.
- 41:15Speaker 3: I like Tiffany, she's actually funny. Coleman Domingo, No idea
- 41:18Speaker 3: who that is or Anthony Anderson. Don't know who is either, Kinsey,
- 41:23Speaker 3: what do you make of this replacement? I've got to say,
- 41:26Speaker 3: in some ways, it's quite clever by Kimmel, because you
- 41:29Speaker 3: don't want someone replacing you who's better than you. That's
- 41:32Speaker 3: a threat to your role. And they're not going to
- 41:35Speaker 3: replace Kimmel with Rosie. That would just be replacing Kimmel
- 41:39Speaker 3: with the female Kimmel.
- 41:42Speaker 5: Just when viewers thought the diagnosis couldn't get worse, the
- 41:46Speaker 5: lab results came back. It's like celebrating because the doctor
- 41:50Speaker 5: says it's not food poisoning, only to discover its chronic
- 41:53Speaker 5: abs technically different, emotionally identical. But Rosie's going to pay
- 41:58Speaker 5: for that alleged face left somehow reader, So she's, you know,
- 42:02Speaker 5: I'm sure she's thrilled that she's got some work these days.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Well, I thought she fled the country, moved to Ireland
- 42:10Speaker 3: to get away as far as she could from Trump's America.
- 42:14Speaker 3: So it's very strange to me that she's now back
- 42:16Speaker 3: feeling very safe in Trump's America, it seems. Now let's
- 42:19Speaker 3: talk about the Beckham's. Brooklyn Beckham's full commercial for door
- 42:24Speaker 3: Dash has been released and he has taken a fresh
- 42:27Speaker 3: jab at his estrange parents, David Beckham and Victoria Posh
- 42:32Speaker 3: Spices have a look.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Probably wondering why I'm watching the fee for World Cup
- 42:36Speaker 2: twenty twenty six from home.
- 42:38Speaker 4: It's not like I don't have tickets.
- 42:40Speaker 3: That's because for long story for Brooklyn.
- 42:44Speaker 7: Yes, these can go to someone else.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Hey put them somewhere funder got it?
- 42:55Speaker 3: Yeah? Wow. Page six is a reporting he got paid
- 42:59Speaker 3: a million dollars for that and Kinsey. A family friend
- 43:04Speaker 3: told The Daily Now that David and Victoria are reeling
- 43:08Speaker 3: after seeing the.
- 43:08Speaker 5: Ad and the ungrateful NEPO toddler doesn't need the money.
- 43:14Speaker 5: He married into generational wealth. If this was meant to
- 43:18Speaker 5: be a subtle dig at his parents, it wasn't subtle.
- 43:22Speaker 5: It was sponsored, it was hashtag ad hashtag sponsored. I
- 43:26Speaker 5: think that the sad part is that every public job
- 43:29Speaker 5: pushes reconciliation further away. Brooklyn may have earned a million dollars,
- 43:34Speaker 5: but the reality is it's costing him something much more valuable,
- 43:37Speaker 5: his family. And I think that that is something we
- 43:40Speaker 5: should be disappointed in.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Absolutely, and David and Victoria have extended another olive branch
- 43:48Speaker 3: to Brooklyn for Father's Day. Both David and Victoria celebrated
- 43:52Speaker 3: Father's Day with posts to Instagram that featured all their children,
- 43:56Speaker 3: including Brooklyn. Was there any response from him Kinsey on
- 44:01Speaker 3: that special day?
- 44:03Speaker 5: Unfortunately no, And I think and I'd be curious to
- 44:06Speaker 5: know if you agree, but including Brooklyn and those Father
- 44:09Speaker 5: Day tributes, in my opinion, is a clear message We're
- 44:13Speaker 5: still here whenever you're ready. At this point, the Beckhams
- 44:17Speaker 5: are sending olive trees because this is like the fifth
- 44:21Speaker 5: time they've publicly expressed love for their son. The public
- 44:26Speaker 5: outreach continues, but reconciliation requires participation from both sides, and
- 44:31Speaker 5: Brooklyn has gone no contact and no class.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Yes, you're absolutely right, and we're going to talk about
- 44:38Speaker 3: another strained, high profile relationship. King Charles and Prince Harry shortly.
- 44:44Speaker 3: But first, Kinsey, we have to speak about the objectification
- 44:48Speaker 3: of soccer players during the World Cup. And I have
- 44:50Speaker 3: been appalled by some ladies and what they're posting on
- 44:54Speaker 3: social media. And I'm going to say, one particular player
- 44:57Speaker 3: who's getting a lot of attention is not even in
- 45:01Speaker 3: the World Cup, and yet I keep seeing clips like this, Kinsey,
- 45:25Speaker 3: that's just a couple of examples. I've seen dozens of
- 45:29Speaker 3: similar videos. Hundreds of them are trending online. Is this
- 45:33Speaker 3: a case of double standards? I mean, you wouldn't probably
- 45:37Speaker 3: be able to get away with objectifying female athletes in
- 45:41Speaker 3: that way.
- 45:43Speaker 5: If men were making identical videos about female athletes their
- 45:47Speaker 5: HR department which start building an internal file on them
- 45:50Speaker 5: for being a pervert. Objectification doesn't suddenly become acceptable because
- 45:55Speaker 5: the target happens to be a dude. The Internet loves
- 45:58Speaker 5: to preach about equality until handsome footballer shows up on
- 46:02Speaker 5: the screen. The double standard urate it's obvious. If we're
- 46:05Speaker 5: going to call it out for women, we should call
- 46:07Speaker 5: it up from mento. Admiring an athlete is one thing,
- 46:11Speaker 5: but treating them like a piece of meat as another.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Well, yes, I don't want a victim blame, but I
- 46:18Speaker 3: mean he does seem to take a lot of shirtless
- 46:20Speaker 3: photos and he plays for Nigeria. Nigeria aren't even in
- 46:25Speaker 3: the World Cup. So all these videos going viral during
- 46:28Speaker 3: the World Cup and all these women claiming we're watching
- 46:31Speaker 3: the World Cup for him. He's not their ladies. But
- 46:34Speaker 3: good luck to you. Now let's talk about King Charles.
- 46:38Speaker 3: The sons reporting he maybe meeting his grandchildren when Harry
- 46:43Speaker 3: and Meghan returned to the UK. Charles has not seen
- 46:45Speaker 3: those grandchildren since late since the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee
- 46:49Speaker 3: that was in June twenty twenty two. Kinsey, it's understood
- 46:53Speaker 3: the whole family may even stay in Buckingham Palace. Prince
- 46:57Speaker 3: Harry obviously has a lot of security concerns with a
- 47:00Speaker 3: lot about that.
- 47:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I at some point the security debate
- 47:06Speaker 5: has to stop overshadowing family relationships, and that's on Prince
- 47:09Speaker 5: Harry and his paranoia. If Buckingham Palace can't provide enough security,
- 47:13Speaker 5: nowhere can. The King is sick with cancer and I
- 47:16Speaker 5: understand his desire to see his grandchildren. That doesn't mean
- 47:20Speaker 5: it doesn't disappoint me for the Prince and Princess of Wales.
- 47:22Speaker 5: I still remember Meghan sending a Catherine troll three hundred
- 47:26Speaker 5: dollars worth of as ever garbage last month, and Meghan's
- 47:30Speaker 5: friend Omid Scobie accusing Catherine of racism right before she
- 47:34Speaker 5: fiercely fought her own cancer battle. If Harry and Meghan
- 47:37Speaker 5: are in the mood for a reunion, Thomas Markle is
- 47:40Speaker 5: just a phone call away. But we know why they
- 47:42Speaker 5: want to meet with the King. There's always an ulterior motive.
- 47:47Speaker 3: That's such a good point. We never hear about Thomas Markl.
- 47:51Speaker 3: We never hear about this man who's in poor health,
- 47:55Speaker 3: who is desperate to be reunited with his daughter, to
- 47:59Speaker 3: meet his grandchildren, and he is cast aside. Now. Meghan
- 48:04Speaker 3: last week revealed a new collaboration with the wellness drink
- 48:09Speaker 3: brand Clever Blends. It follows a report she could be
- 48:12Speaker 3: facing a five million dollar loss if she doesn't offload
- 48:17Speaker 3: her jams, kids or the as ever garbage, as you
- 48:21Speaker 3: so beautifully put it.
- 48:24Speaker 4: Yeah, so, Meghan's strategy seems very clear.
- 48:26Speaker 5: If one product isn't generating buzz, just launch another one.
- 48:30Speaker 5: At this point, she's giving me whiplash. She treats brand
- 48:33Speaker 5: building like speed dating. If the gem doesn't work, move
- 48:36Speaker 5: on to MARCHA. Celebrity brands survive on momentum, and right
- 48:40Speaker 5: now Megan's trying very hard to keep hers moving. That's
- 48:43Speaker 5: why she's meeting with her in laws in my opinion.
- 48:46Speaker 5: But celebrity brands also survive on likability, which is something
- 48:50Speaker 5: Megan severely lacks.
- 48:53Speaker 3: Well, how is she going to look at the next
- 48:56Speaker 3: phase of her career? The whole Netflix collaboration isn't doing
- 49:00Speaker 3: great things. The ratings have been fairly consistently poor. She
- 49:04Speaker 3: had the podcast which sort of seemed to go nowhere.
- 49:07Speaker 3: She lost interest in that. What's next for her? A
- 49:12Speaker 3: return to acting? Is that on the cards?
- 49:15Speaker 2: Well, it is on the cards.
- 49:16Speaker 5: She's in a new movie with Lily Collins for Amazon Prime,
- 49:21Speaker 5: playing herself, so that should be interesting. I will have
- 49:28Speaker 5: to we can sit back and look forward to that.
- 49:30Speaker 5: And when a cast member was asked about it, Jack Wade,
- 49:35Speaker 5: he asked about Megan on a red carpet. He dodged
- 49:39Speaker 5: the question like the plague and was like, no, it's
- 49:41Speaker 5: a wonderful cast And when asked to list everyone but her,
- 49:45Speaker 5: so curious to know what her behavior was like on
- 49:47Speaker 5: set for a reaction like that.
- 49:50Speaker 3: I don't think if it counts as acting if you're
- 49:52Speaker 3: playing yourself, Kinsey, I mean, that's just yeah, Kinsey Schofield.
- 49:57Speaker 3: Always a pleasure. Thank you for your time, and that's
- 50:00Speaker 3: all the time we have. Don't go anywhere. Newsnight is
- 50:03Speaker 3: up next
