“Behold, the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel” (which means, “God with us”). — Matthew 1:23Emmanuel — God with us. Not God watching from a distance, not God sending instructions from heaven, but the Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us. Solomon knew heaven couldn't contain God, yet here He is in a body of flesh. The same Jesus who ate with sinners and touched lepers is the radiance of God's glory. He's not far off.
