Jesus' coming into the world was not only to redeem mankind from the grip of sin and death, but also to show all the manner of life that is pleasing, perfect, and acceptable to God. He came to demonstrate through His life how men ought to live in walking with God and in obtaining His favour. Jesus, by the way He lived while on earth, expects all who will follow Him, or become His disciples, to walk in His footsteps, imitating His devotion and submission to the Father, and being guided by His Word at all times.
