  Speaker 2: So we're gonna start off with some roster cuts. The

  Speaker 2: Pirates announced some roster cuts today. It was their second

  Speaker 2: round of roster cuts, so I have them in front
• 0:57
  Speaker 2: of me now, just real.

  Speaker 1: Quick, quick to read him off.

  Speaker 2: They reassigned Derek Berg, Nick Similo, Nick Domkowski, Deuce Gorse

  Speaker 2: and Tamar Johnson, Ronnie Simon and Davis Wenzel.

  Speaker 1: To minor league camp. Nothing super surprising there.

  Speaker 2: A couple of days prior to that, they had their

  Speaker 2: first round of roster cuts and including and that included

  Speaker 2: in that group was Thomas Harrington, which I was a

  Speaker 2: little surprised to see. I'll open this to Mark because

  Speaker 2: I have two questions, one for each of you.

  Speaker 1: Mark, I'll just start off.

  Speaker 2: I mean, were you surprised to see any of these
• 1:33
  Speaker 2: decisions this early in camp?

  Speaker 3: Yeah? I thought that Thomas Harrington one was a little

  Speaker 3: bit intriguing because he's had a great spring so far.

  Speaker 3: I mean, just a couple episodes ago we were talking

  Speaker 3: about how he could be one of the guys that

  Speaker 3: would be in contention for that fifth starting spot, so

  Speaker 3: maybe they just want to get him some more time.

  Speaker 3: That was one thing that really stood out to me.

  Speaker 3: And then the other big name would be Tamar Johnson.

  Speaker 3: I don't think that's a shock though, to see Tremargo down,

  Speaker 4: I saw a lot of my counterparts, a lot of

  Speaker 4: my friends, my teammates, you know, on the on those days,

  Speaker 4: and it's one of those days where you know, roster cuts,

  Speaker 4: everybody knows that they're coming, and kind of the locker

  Speaker 4: room is I don't want to say on edge, but

  Speaker 4: you know, you the bench coaches walking around, whenever he's
• 3:39
  Speaker 4: walking around, everybody knows, like, oh, people getting sent down today,

  Speaker 4: And you know, when you show up, you might already
• 3:45
  Speaker 4: see somebody that's cleaning out they locker, and you know,
• 3:48
  Speaker 4: you got guys going over a man, hey, I'll see you,
• 3:51
  Speaker 4: or you know, you know, encouraging words. But at the
• 3:53
  Speaker 4: same time, you know guys like trying not to make
• 3:57
  Speaker 4: eye contact guys, you know, the bench coaches walking by,

  Speaker 4: but at the same time, like make eye contact with

  Speaker 4: me and just give me the not like you good.

  Speaker 4: So it's one of those things where it's part of

  Speaker 4: the competition. It's healthy, and just because you are sent

  Speaker 4: down doesn't necessarily mean that you're not gonna be part

  Speaker 4: of the plans. There's only so many that can make
• 4:16
  Speaker 4: the team, and everybody knows that at some point somebody's
• 4:19
  Speaker 4: gonna be needed, somebody's gonna go down. But that's not
• 4:22
  Speaker 4: to say that you don't want to make the team
• 4:23
  Speaker 4: out of spring and you don't feel that you should.

  Speaker 4: But you know, roster cuts are days that it's a
• 4:30
  Speaker 4: little you know, you know you've survived it. So on

  Speaker 4: one end you're like yeah, but on the other end,

  Speaker 4: you're like, damn, man, I can't imagine the emotions that
• 4:38
  Speaker 4: you know, my boy is going through. And then I'm

  Speaker 4: gonna say on the flip side, you know, roster cuts,

  Speaker 4: it's no more big League spring training money. You know,
• 4:46
  Speaker 4: guys that don't necessarily make the roster, you know that
• 4:50
  Speaker 4: Big League allows allows them to, you know, pay dues
• 4:53
  Speaker 4: do certain things. So like now they're going over to
• 4:56
  Speaker 4: Pirate City. They're still staying where they stay, but like,
• 4:58
  Speaker 4: you know, some of the things that they have got,

  Speaker 4: you know, a little bit of surplus that allows them
• 5:03
  Speaker 4: to breathe a little freely. It just makes you want

  Speaker 4: to get back to that spot much more so those

  Speaker 4: guys that have been a part of it. Uh, these

  Speaker 4: first couple of cuts, you know, it's not the end

  Speaker 4: of the world. It sucks, but at the same time,

  Speaker 4: you know, it's not how you start, it's how you finish.

  Speaker 2: It's always interesting seeing how lifeless the clubhouse gets like

  Speaker 2: depending on you know, who's heard or whatever, and every

  Speaker 2: Guys who survived the first round of cuts, they don't

  Speaker 4: me and Cutch on the bench looking at Martin Plank

  Speaker 4: on the other side, like it wasn't just players, it

  Speaker 4: was the whole place that felt the energy and for

  Speaker 4: where the game is grown now with this television, ain't

  Speaker 4: gonna just be the whole place. It's gonna be everybody

  Speaker 4: at home that's watching. It's gonna be you know, all

  Speaker 4: the bars wherever it's being showed. Because you watch baseball

  Speaker 4: and you watch the Dominican and you watch how they

  Speaker 4: celebrate they enjoyed the game. To some people, To some

  Speaker 4: people it's over is too much I see people playing

  Speaker 4: with passion. Yes, it'd be too much over one hundred

  Speaker 4: and sixty two games because you just physically do that.

  Speaker 1: That's a lot.

  Speaker 4: But in these moments, these guys are out there having fun,

  Speaker 4: and I think it'd be something to see because you

  Speaker 4: know they gonna be out there and you know, we

  Speaker 4: know USA ain't shaking no hands, and Team Dominican gonna

  Speaker 4: be the complete opposite of that. And that right there,

  Speaker 4: I think is enough to say, hey, these are the

  Speaker 4: two teams that people want to see, and not only

  Speaker 4: that seeing the best picture on the planet. That might

  Speaker 4: cause more excitement because could you imagine how quiet that

  Speaker 4: crowd would be if he was able to shut down Atlanta?

  Speaker 4: Because I experienced how loud they can be and everybody

  Speaker 4: else has seen on TV, So I think the matchup

  Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, right.

  Speaker 2: I would be interested to see how Paul's emotions are

  Speaker 2: in that game, because he's so stoic, like he's so composed,

  Speaker 2: country as far as the external noise makers, just living

  Speaker 2: and nine by every pitch. So I would like to

  Speaker 4: Will, you might see some aji yeah, like you know,

  Speaker 4: competitiveness come out of guys that you know otherwise haven't
