Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I'm in the move for food d five am six forty.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Bill Handle here on a Friday, last hour of our
- 0:15Speaker 3: show for the weekend. It's one of my favorites, not
- 0:17Speaker 3: the most favorite, and we're gonna do footy Fridays just
- 0:21Speaker 3: a moment, but some of the stories we're looking at.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Open AI is facing seven lawsuits claiming that chat GPT
- 0:28Speaker 3: drove people to suicide. Seven people are suing, six adults
- 0:33Speaker 3: and one teenager. Five just filed in California State Court
- 0:37Speaker 3: wrongful death, assisted suicide, involuntary manslaughter, negligence.
- 0:42Speaker 2: We've talked about that before. By the way. That's the
- 0:45Speaker 2: fear that iHeart has in allowing me.
- 0:48Speaker 3: To do Marginal Spiritual Advice on Sunday, which I've been
- 0:53Speaker 3: wanting to do for years, because there are people that
- 0:56Speaker 3: actually do talk about suicide on that show, and they're
- 1:00Speaker 3: afraid that I'm gonna go, Hey, you only have three
- 1:03Speaker 3: minutes to the next break, Okay, so let's do this
- 1:05Speaker 3: as quickly as possible.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Ain't gonna happen, is it? No?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Unfortunately, they want ratings. They should let me do that,
- 1:15Speaker 3: for sure. It is time for Foody Friday with Neil Savedra.
- 1:20Speaker 3: We'll talk about our thanksgrilling event before we bail.
- 1:24Speaker 2: But not a shocker. I was in the store the
- 1:27Speaker 2: other day.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It was a Ralph actually, and I decided I'm going
- 1:30Speaker 3: to have some cookies. I happen to like short bread cookies,
- 1:33Speaker 3: so I'm going looking for shortbread cookies.
- 1:35Speaker 2: And there's two or three different kinds, you know, dense ones,
- 1:39Speaker 2: not so dense ones.
- 1:40Speaker 3: And there is half of the isle, half of that
- 1:44Speaker 3: aisle Oreo cookies. I mean, there must be thirty different
- 1:50Speaker 3: kinds of Oreo cookies up there, and there are some.
- 1:52Speaker 2: New ones up there.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Neil, Yeah, tis the season as we get into the
- 1:58Speaker 4: different holidays. Of course, every food or product looks for
- 2:03Speaker 4: a new way to make a splash or to remind
- 2:06Speaker 4: you they're still here and there's reasons to try them.
- 2:09Speaker 4: But Oreo continues to come out with these limited edition cookies.
- 2:15Speaker 4: In this case, it's twelve count cookie, ten six unique
- 2:20Speaker 4: Thanksgiving inspired cookie flavors.
- 2:24Speaker 5: So what could that be?
- 2:26Speaker 4: I don't know, berries, pumpkin, whatever, turkey and stuffing, creamed corn,
- 2:35Speaker 4: sweet potato, cranberry sauce, caramel apple pie, and pumpkin pie
- 2:43Speaker 4: we're talking about.
- 2:44Speaker 2: These are the different flavored creamy feelings.
- 2:47Speaker 4: So you know, all these fans that follow all this
- 2:50Speaker 4: stuff there seem to be divided in this one because
- 2:53Speaker 4: the flavors. Some are excited and intrigued in. Others are like, noop,
- 2:59Speaker 4: ain't gonna have happened. So I'm curious the turkey and stuffing.
- 3:02Speaker 4: That savory is going to be an interesting one. Cream
- 3:05Speaker 4: corn that could be sweet. I love cream corn. Sweet
- 3:10Speaker 4: potato might work, Cranberry sauce certainly should, camera apple and
- 3:14Speaker 4: pumpkin pie should.
- 3:15Speaker 2: But that turkey and stuffing that's gonna be.
- 3:19Speaker 4: It's gonna be an interesting combo for people to you know.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Okay, So now here comes the question, because this is
- 3:26Speaker 3: my go to flavor I always employ, when do they
- 3:31Speaker 3: do smoked mackerel filling on an oreo cookie?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 3:36Speaker 5: Hope? I would?
- 3:37Speaker 2: Would you be surprised if they did something that crazy.
- 3:42Speaker 4: It would have to be a gag, maybe tied to
- 3:45Speaker 4: a movie or something like that. But you know what's
- 3:47Speaker 4: even crazier about this bill. It's not even about the flavors.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Biggest complaint on this one shipping prices. The ten costs
- 3:57Speaker 4: nineteen ninety nine, but a lot of customers said, when
- 4:02Speaker 4: you look at the shipping costs, it's almost double the price.
- 4:06Speaker 2: That's crazy. That's crazy because.
- 4:09Speaker 5: These aren't going to be available in the story.
- 4:11Speaker 6: You know.
- 4:11Speaker 3: That's okay. Now we're going to do stupid and it's groping,
- 4:15Speaker 3: is what it is. Campbell's has some new items and
- 4:20Speaker 3: you think of soup, don't you.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Yeah, or at least something edible. Yeah, a little different,
- 4:26Speaker 4: but they look delicious.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Ish And what are they?
- 4:32Speaker 5: Do you want to do that now? Or are we
- 4:33Speaker 5: going to a break?
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yeah, we can go and break.
- 4:36Speaker 3: We'll do that for a minute or two, and then
- 4:38Speaker 3: I really want to push our event tomorrow back tomorrow, Yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 3: because that happens once a year and it's something that
- 4:47Speaker 3: Neil and I love doing and we hope you don't
- 4:50Speaker 3: want to miss it.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You shouldn't miss it. You can't miss it.
- 4:53Speaker 5: I wouldn't miss it.
- 4:54Speaker 3: You're not going to miss it. No, you cannot miss
- 4:57Speaker 3: it because it's because it's your event, of which I
- 5:00Speaker 3: am helping you do it. Before we talk about thanksgrilling tomorrow,
- 5:04Speaker 3: which we're going to spend a minute doing, we are
- 5:08Speaker 3: I had asked you about new items from Campbell's and
- 5:11Speaker 3: so they have some new flavored soups, which is kind
- 5:13Speaker 3: of interesting because they always thought it they had every flavor.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Soup on the planet.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Now this is interesting because again during the holidays that
- 5:19Speaker 4: you get these products. I love these, but they are
- 5:22Speaker 4: not edible, so they're dropping two new products. They will
- 5:26Speaker 4: sell out. I guarantee these things always do.
- 5:30Speaker 5: But I love these.
- 5:31Speaker 4: They're two bags, so they're bags that can carry your
- 5:37Speaker 4: and they're calling them their holiday accessories collections. But it's
- 5:42Speaker 4: fashion sort of because they're carrying cases. But they're designed
- 5:47Speaker 4: to tote like your favorite dishes, like cashual casserole dishes,
- 5:53Speaker 4: like a thirteen y nine dish that goes in the bottom,
- 5:56Speaker 4: and keep those things warm while you're traveling.
- 6:00Speaker 5: It's mac and cheese, or a green.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Bean castroll or something maybe a sweet potato castrole there.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Now you'll be able to, you know, take them with
- 6:09Speaker 4: you and they'll keep them more.
- 6:10Speaker 5: And they're pretty damn nice looking. I'm not gonna lie what.
- 6:13Speaker 4: They kind of have a nod to the red and
- 6:16Speaker 4: the white label.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Oh so it's not the Campbell's logo on it.
- 6:19Speaker 5: No, it's not.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Wow, I would have thought they would do that. What
- 6:22Speaker 3: great marketing that is.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Well, you can tell that it's a Campbell's and if
- 6:27Speaker 4: it's a logo, it's small on there. It's not like
- 6:29Speaker 4: a duplicate of the can or anything like that. But
- 6:32Speaker 4: they're going to be dropping a couple of days on
- 6:34Speaker 4: November tenth. Now, when it comes to these things, you're
- 6:37Speaker 4: going to want to be part of their clubs and
- 6:41Speaker 4: all that stuff. But in this case, you're going to
- 6:43Speaker 4: want to visit sides season dot com starting November tenth,
- 6:49Speaker 4: one pm Eastern time, so that'd be ten am our
- 6:51Speaker 4: time to purchase yours in time for the holidays.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And how much are they? She left that out?
- 6:57Speaker 5: No, I don't know.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Look at you, it's always with that. I don't see
- 7:03Speaker 4: a price on this, huh. I do not see a
- 7:06Speaker 4: price on this, but they certainly are. They look like
- 7:11Speaker 4: they're well made. And I'm trying to look and see
- 7:13Speaker 4: if it says on the No, I don't see it
- 7:16Speaker 4: on the website either.
- 7:17Speaker 3: All right, when you came out and said Campbell's has
- 7:19Speaker 3: two new bags, I thought you were going to talk
- 7:21Speaker 3: about Will and me and make some kind of a joke.
- 7:23Speaker 3: But thank you for Yeah, Okay, thank you for not
- 7:26Speaker 3: doing that. I will stop giving you a look. But
- 7:28Speaker 3: if you haven't gotten used to being, you know, just
- 7:31Speaker 3: the point of this entire show when it.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Comes to attacks, I'm mortified.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Now I know you are small hands, big feet or
- 7:39Speaker 3: that big small feet, big hands, I don't.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Know whatever, whatever works.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Okay, now it's time to talk about our once a
- 7:49Speaker 3: year event, and that is that Neil does this every year.
- 7:53Speaker 3: It's Thanks Grilling, where it is a grilling event, and
- 7:57Speaker 3: this year it is from the wild Fork Food Yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 3: wild Fork here. I was about to conflate again being
- 8:05Speaker 3: with Stonefire. No Wild Fork Food Store in l goud
- 8:10Speaker 3: and Miguel I don't have in fun of me, so
- 8:12Speaker 3: I have to have to remember, which I never do.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It's two to four o'clock.
- 8:16Speaker 3: They'll be boy, they'll be grilling, they'll be chefs, they'll
- 8:19Speaker 3: be free samples. Zelman's will be there with free samples.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I mean, it's always fun and we eat and eat
- 8:27Speaker 3: and eat, and there'll be some great giveaways too.
- 8:30Speaker 5: They always have great giveaways.
- 8:32Speaker 4: But one of the coolest things when you pull up
- 8:34Speaker 4: is smelling because they've got the vehicles out there that
- 8:37Speaker 4: are pulling the barbecues and the food truck that they have,
- 8:42Speaker 4: and we're going to introduce you to a lot of
- 8:44Speaker 4: really cool people, chefs, and they always tie into charities
- 8:47Speaker 4: and all kinds of things, so it's gonna be a
- 8:49Speaker 4: good time had by all. We'll talk to the chefs,
- 8:52Speaker 4: we'll talk to some of the people from Wild Fork
- 8:55Speaker 4: Foods and why that store is special unique, and if
- 9:00Speaker 4: you haven't tried going inside one, you have to. And
- 9:03Speaker 4: if you're intimidated by it, don't be. But the way
- 9:07Speaker 4: they protect food and keep it from waste and becoming waste,
- 9:12Speaker 4: the way you can get things that you can't get
- 9:14Speaker 4: at other places, different cuts of meat.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just wondering.
- 9:19Speaker 2: It's obviously it's free.
- 9:21Speaker 3: And oh, part of the giveaways, by the way, there'll
- 9:23Speaker 3: be some giveaways gift cars to the Anaheim White House,
- 9:27Speaker 3: which we have not done before and they have.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that is beyond fantastic.
- 9:32Speaker 3: You get to go to the Anaheim White House and
- 9:35Speaker 3: they're at that point you're.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Going to get the bill Handle Special.
- 9:38Speaker 3: You can order the bill Handle Special, which is one
- 9:42Speaker 3: glass of diet coke. However, it's still a big, big treat.
- 9:49Speaker 2: A gift certificate.
- 9:50Speaker 4: While or the Sphadra Special, which is a trough on
- 9:55Speaker 4: a moving conveyor belts.
- 9:59Speaker 2: It really a great time. We're gonna have a great time.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Please come out and it's wide open, and of course
- 10:04Speaker 3: it's free and they're free samples and it's just fun fun.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Early that parking is always going to be an issue anywhere,
- 10:11Speaker 4: but I don't. I heard last year some people were
- 10:13Speaker 4: able to get in because of the parking.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Come on out. We really want it to be a great.
- 10:19Speaker 3: I think it's a better I think, and I think
- 10:20Speaker 3: it's a better parking situation this year too.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I think the store at.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Laguna Miguel is in Uh, there's a there's a good
- 10:28Speaker 3: sized parking.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Oh no, it's a great it's a great area.
- 10:31Speaker 4: I just want to meet as many people as possible
- 10:33Speaker 4: because this is uh the last one we're doing with
- 10:37Speaker 4: Wildfork Foods this year.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and I don't want to meet as many people
- 10:41Speaker 3: as specialable, especially as a specialable, especially as special leable. Yeah,
- 10:45Speaker 3: we're gonna eat some speciables. I do not want to
- 10:48Speaker 3: meet you, but I am there. I'm there for the food,
- 10:51Speaker 3: and it is it's worth dealing with you for the food.
- 10:55Speaker 4: I love meeting people and then all you hear on
- 10:58Speaker 4: Handle side is I don't care, move along, you're standing
- 11:01Speaker 4: in the way of my food.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I love the ones. I love the ones.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Hey, Bill, we met twenty three years ago at whatever
- 11:10Speaker 3: insert name of event.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I go, yes, we did? I remember you know what?
- 11:15Speaker 2: I remember you? Good?
- 11:17Speaker 5: Many God, I do remember.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I don't remember who I met ten minutes ago. For
- 11:22Speaker 2: God's sake, I realized that that's true.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Okay, guys, it's that time is time for ask Handle anything,
- 11:30Speaker 3: where I answer anything, and you get to record those
- 11:34Speaker 3: and we talk about how during the week. But first
- 11:36Speaker 3: let's start and get right to it.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Cono. First question, morning, Handle and crew.
- 11:41Speaker 5: So Handle, what.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Is your favorite jarred salsa? And do you like like
- 11:45Speaker 1: super hot salsas? And second, restaurant wise, where would you
- 11:49Speaker 1: go for good salsa? And since it's foody Friday, I
- 11:53Speaker 1: recommend Micassa.
- 11:54Speaker 5: In Newport Beach if you've never been.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I have not, And you know, I don't actually have
- 12:00Speaker 3: a favorite salsa. I just grab either El Touredo or
- 12:05Speaker 3: Mission or something, and I'm fine with that. So I
- 12:09Speaker 3: really don't care. And I actually don't go to restaurant.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Mexican residence for the salsa. I go for the food,
- 12:15Speaker 3: and if they happen to great salsa, it's terrific.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Good salsa is terrific. Neil, what's your favorite salsa?
- 12:22Speaker 5: So by one?
- 12:23Speaker 2: You don't have any one? It's hard. So yeah, good,
- 12:26Speaker 2: good for him that he has a favorite salsa.
- 12:28Speaker 3: That's not bad. Okay, so much for that boy. That
- 12:31Speaker 3: was a compelling deep question.
- 12:33Speaker 2: I like that. Let's do another way. Oh yeah, it's food.
- 12:36Speaker 2: E Friday. That's true.
- 12:37Speaker 7: Okay, Hello Bill, you recently started watching football? Why do
- 12:43Speaker 7: you now like football? I love football. This is Terry
- 12:48Speaker 7: from Maryland.
- 12:50Speaker 5: And she loves football.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I know she does. I started. I was never a
- 12:53Speaker 2: sports fan, and I like football. I'll tell you why.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Unlike basketball, Man, the last thing I want to do,
- 13:00Speaker 3: who is get close to a guy who's six foot eight,
- 13:03Speaker 3: who is dribbling a ball and sweating all over the
- 13:06Speaker 3: place and signs his name with an X and gets
- 13:08Speaker 3: ten million dollars a year to do it.
- 13:10Speaker 2: So basketball is off the table.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Football is the strategy, the level of excellence. It really
- 13:20Speaker 3: can be a very complicated game, and I'm really paying
- 13:23Speaker 3: attention to the analysts, especially when Andy Reid comes up
- 13:26Speaker 3: with these new plays for Kansas City.
- 13:30Speaker 2: It's really interesting. But that's why a good question.
- 13:33Speaker 3: By the way I did, I can't even tell you
- 13:34Speaker 3: how I just got interested in football. Also because you know,
- 13:40Speaker 3: I just recently got married and that went over. That
- 13:42Speaker 3: goes south very very quickly. So I'm bored on Sunday,
- 13:45Speaker 3: so I get to go watch football that tracks. Okay,
- 13:48Speaker 3: thank you.
- 13:51Speaker 6: Connor, Hello Bill, James Paul, longtime listener, first time caller.
- 13:54Speaker 6: I have a question. Has there been an organization, restaurant, place,
- 13:58Speaker 6: anything You've ever been thrown out of, banned from? And
- 14:01Speaker 6: what did you do to deserve that? Also, I'd like
- 14:05Speaker 6: to request the Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl, and I'd
- 14:08Speaker 6: like to dedicate to my wife, Florinda. Thank you.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Who is in prison? Do you remember Art le Beau?
- 14:14Speaker 6: Uh?
- 14:15Speaker 3: You know he would take like love songs and always
- 14:19Speaker 3: uh it's these.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Girls at these gals. I want to dedicate this song to.
- 14:24Speaker 3: My hobby, my loved one, Eduardo, who is in prison
- 14:28Speaker 3: for twenty five years.
- 14:29Speaker 5: This one goes out to Little Puppet from Chanah.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I've already forgotten the question. What was it favorite restaurant?
- 14:38Speaker 3: What was it?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Kno see.
- 14:40Speaker 3: I goes to show you with my memory is and
- 14:41Speaker 3: people ask me, I met you fourteen years ago.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Do you remember I was there?
- 14:45Speaker 4: Uh was gonna you got thrown out of any restaurants
- 14:48Speaker 4: in estaurant?
- 14:50Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 14:50Speaker 3: I actually have been thrown out of a restaurant many
- 14:52Speaker 3: many years ago. It was and all you can eat
- 14:54Speaker 3: buffet and I filled my plate up with but it
- 14:58Speaker 3: was with jello, which was really weird. Why the owner
- 15:02Speaker 3: would throw me out for jello? And I took enormous amounts.
- 15:06Speaker 3: I don't get it because it cost them nothing. So
- 15:08Speaker 3: that was the one time I was thrown out a restaurant. No,
- 15:11Speaker 3: the rest of it is no, because restaurants, to me
- 15:13Speaker 3: are actually places of worship.
- 15:16Speaker 2: A lot of you go to church.
- 15:18Speaker 3: I've got two places of worship where I actually jeny reflect.
- 15:22Speaker 3: When is the FED building, of course, because I happen
- 15:25Speaker 3: to be of that persuasion, And.
- 15:27Speaker 2: The other one is a restaurant. So there you go.
- 15:30Speaker 3: You can actually see me praying in front of a
- 15:31Speaker 3: restaurant and waiting for the doors to open up at
- 15:33Speaker 3: eleven thirty.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Okay, why don't we take a break. What do you think, guys?
- 15:40Speaker 2: Why would happen? Why would why?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Why would brown eyed girl be connected to anything on
- 15:46Speaker 3: this show unless you get a story about brown eyed girl.
- 15:49Speaker 2: What do you think that was his request for his wife?
- 15:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well yeah he's not. But he's not in prison.
- 15:55Speaker 2: He's not in prison, so it doesn't work.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Okay, I have to actually look at Lindsay to see
- 15:59Speaker 3: what eye color.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 16:02Speaker 3: All right, back we go as we finish, handle on
- 16:05Speaker 3: or ask handle anything? Tomorrow morning is handle on the law,
- 16:09Speaker 3: ask handle anything? Oh, by the way, you can from
- 16:11Speaker 3: now on. I was asked what Lindsay's eye color was,
- 16:15Speaker 3: and I have no idea because someone wanted to play
- 16:17Speaker 3: Van Morrison's brown eyed girl, which of course Cono did
- 16:21Speaker 3: because he doesn't pay attention to me. But callers coming
- 16:23Speaker 3: in just tell him what to do? You have to
- 16:25Speaker 3: play green eyed girl?
- 16:27Speaker 2: All right? I finally remembered what her eyeballs look like
- 16:33Speaker 2: because I went and looked. All right, next question.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Hi, Bill, this is Surgier from the Chino Valley, and
- 16:40Speaker 1: I'm wondering how many Hawaiian shirts do you own.
- 16:43Speaker 5: And which one is your favorite? Because I see you
- 16:45Speaker 5: wearing them a lot.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Thanks, Maybe a dozen, maybe a little more, few more?
- 16:52Speaker 3: Which one is my favorite. I don't know the one
- 16:54Speaker 3: with flowers on it because I only have eight of those,
- 16:58Speaker 3: and I've got a couple other ones, you know, Roote
- 17:01Speaker 3: sixty six ones. But anyway, I'm big on Hawaiian shirts.
- 17:05Speaker 3: There's just something about Hawaiian shirts that I just enjoy
- 17:08Speaker 3: because I think I'm Hawaiian.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Okay, next question.
- 17:12Speaker 5: Hey, Bill, I was wondering, how much do you pay
- 17:15Speaker 5: an alimony?
- 17:18Speaker 3: Okay, that's actually a very good question. I pay zero
- 17:22Speaker 3: in alimony, zero because small Marjorie didn't asked for it,
- 17:30Speaker 3: and she lives way below her means as I do,
- 17:34Speaker 3: and so alimony is simply not part of the picture.
- 17:37Speaker 3: And that's very unusual. But that's the case. That was
- 17:39Speaker 3: actually a pretty good question, but I answered it.
- 17:43Speaker 2: See normally people would say it's none of your damn business.
- 17:46Speaker 4: If you say alimony fast enough, it sounds like all
- 17:50Speaker 4: my money.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Oh that's true, that's true, all my money. No, Marjorie
- 17:55Speaker 3: is not asking for the moon. We have a very
- 17:58Speaker 3: very amicable role relationship.
- 18:00Speaker 5: You know.
- 18:01Speaker 3: I adore Marjorie and I talked to her all the time,
- 18:03Speaker 3: and the kids. So I'm very lucky that I went
- 18:06Speaker 3: through that kind of a divorce. She's a pretty special
- 18:09Speaker 3: lady to say the least.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Okay, one more where.
- 18:14Speaker 8: Tuition is for Bill Handel, Hey, I was wanting to
- 18:16Speaker 8: know about your dad during World War Two. You said
- 18:19Speaker 8: that he left the Vatican and he joined the British
- 18:22Speaker 8: Army with the Jewish Brigade. What was his job in
- 18:24Speaker 8: the Jewish Brigade? Did he fight in combat or was
- 18:28Speaker 8: he like espionage or just wondering what your dad did?
- 18:32Speaker 2: Thank Yeah, Oh that's a great question.
- 18:34Speaker 3: The story of my father, which I've done before, my
- 18:36Speaker 3: father who fled Yugoslavia because the Nazis came into Yugoslavia,
- 18:42Speaker 3: and he fled to the Vatican where he actually masqueraded
- 18:46Speaker 3: became a Jesuit priest teaching Catechism, and I mean.
- 18:51Speaker 2: It's just a wild story.
- 18:52Speaker 3: He then left to join the British Army because he
- 18:55Speaker 3: just he wanted to fight. He ended up not being
- 18:59Speaker 3: in combat at all because of his skill level with languages.
- 19:03Speaker 3: He spoke nine languages and they used him for interrogation.
- 19:06Speaker 3: He spoke perfect German and they used him for intelligence interrogation.
- 19:11Speaker 3: And then he had a bunch of other jobs that
- 19:14Speaker 3: he did, and it was the British Army. It was
- 19:16Speaker 3: under Montgomery. I think it was the fifth Army of Montgomery.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Great question. By the way, it's a wild story. So
- 19:23Speaker 3: there's the answer. No, he never fought. He saved all
- 19:25Speaker 3: of his fighting for when I was born.
- 19:30Speaker 2: One more. Yeah, Hey, Bill, I had a question for you.
- 19:34Speaker 6: I know you talk about your daughters a lot coming
- 19:37Speaker 6: to ask you for stuff.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Do you ever when they come ask you for something, say,
- 19:42Speaker 2: go talk to.
- 19:42Speaker 7: Your brother.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Constantly, constantly.
- 19:48Speaker 5: It actually sounded like you when you do it.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Actually, that's true. I cannot tell you.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Oh, and that's the other one is mom says it's okay,
- 19:57Speaker 3: go talk to your brother. That's exactly what I say.
- 20:00Speaker 3: All right, guys, we are done. We are finished. So
- 20:05Speaker 3: before Gary and Shannon show up, a quick word about
- 20:08Speaker 3: tomorrow afternoon from two to five o'clock, please join me
- 20:11Speaker 3: and Neil or Neil and me. I am guesting on
- 20:16Speaker 3: his show from two to five the whole broadcast, and

- 20:22Speaker 3: his buddies chefs are coming aboard and we are going
- 20:25Speaker 3: to grill like crazy, huge samples, giveaways.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Zelman's will be there and it's.
- 20:32Speaker 5: Going to be Wildfork Foods.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I forgot to say that. Yeah, Es, that's right.
- 20:36Speaker 3: The Wildfork Foods are providing all the meat. Sorry about that.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Well for the very generous to our list while we're
- 20:43Speaker 4: there or when we're not there, and they are great hosts.
- 20:47Speaker 5: We're looking forward to it.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Yeah, so have you join us?
- 20:50Speaker 3: And Thanksgrilling is probably the best event we have if
- 20:54Speaker 3: you want food.
- 20:55Speaker 5: Yeah. Good the guy tomorrow?
- 20:57Speaker 2: Ye okay, all right, we're guys. Boy. Today went slow,
- 21:02Speaker 2: didn't it.

- 21:16Speaker 5: God?
- 21:16Speaker 2: We do.
- 21:17Speaker 3: What a pesky show we have that gets in the
- 21:20Speaker 3: way of our lives, isn't it?
- 21:23Speaker 2: All right? Amy comes aboard, Amy's going Eh, maybe.
- 21:27Speaker 8: I like it?
- 21:28Speaker 2: I know you do. I know you do because you
- 21:30Speaker 2: enjoy waking up at one o'clock in the morning. Good
- 21:33Speaker 2: for you.

- 21:36Speaker 3: Okay, Amy and will come aboard Monday morning with wake
- 21:39Speaker 3: up call at five, and then Neil and I jump
- 21:41Speaker 3: aboard from six to nine when we're all here and
- 21:44Speaker 3: then kno and make all of this happen, which is
- 21:47Speaker 3: why the show doesn't sound very good most of the time.
