Latest / Sri Aurobindo Studies / Worlds and Beings Exist Beyond What We Can Perceive With Our Physical Senses

- 0:01Explorers of the world came across situations and beings
- 0:05with whom they had no prior contact and found some of them
- 0:09to be extremely dangerous, while others seem to be neutral or
- 0:13even positive. Over time, as the range of
- 0:18exploration increased, more previously unknown beings were
- 0:22encountered. All of this has occurred within
- 0:26the range of human perception until more recently, exploration
- 0:32took on a new meaning and humanity began to explore outer
- 0:36space and microscopic life in particular.
- 0:42The study, conducted under the extraordinary magnification
- 0:45powers of the electron microscope, propelled a new
- 0:49understanding of the life forms that abound unseen in our
- 0:54environment. These life forms can be either
- 0:57helpful and symbiotic to human beings or extremely harmful to
- 1:03our existence. As we explore outer space, we
- 1:08are beginning to see that certain meteorites, planets,
- 1:11moons, and star systems apparently have the building
- 1:15blocks of organic life, thus raising the expectation that
- 1:20eventually we will discover life forms in the physical universe
- 1:25outside our immediate Ken. It is not certain, however, that
- 1:30all beings function on the same biological basis or frequency
- 1:35levels that normally create the kind of physical forms we are
- 1:39conditioned to observe. We can appreciate that beings
- 1:43that are more subtle than physical human beings are both
- 1:47capable of existing and of interacting on some basis with
- 1:51human beings. To the extent that human
- 1:55individuals are able to enter into various other domains, such
- 1:59as some of the vital domains, as they undertake what is generally
- 2:04known as astral travel, there is a further opportunity for such
- 2:09interchange to occur. The weight of reporting by
- 2:14people throughout history and across the entire world, and
- 2:18people who have various types of out of body experiences, near
- 2:22death experiences, and encounters with beings or
- 2:25entities that interact with them, leads us to conclude that
- 2:30these things are real, even if not palpable to our external
- 2:35senses. As we develop greater
- 2:38sensitivity, As we gain better instrumentation in our
- 2:42scientific research. As we gain access to new powers
- 2:47of awareness through the evolutionary process, we can
- 2:51expect to be able to document and support this conclusion
- 2:56based on compounded experience over time.
- 3:00Every day, scientists are expanding their understanding of
- 3:04the nature of existence. The further they dive into
- 3:08matter, the more they conclude that energy and eventually
- 3:12consciousness are the stuff of existence and that matter is not
- 3:17actually self existent but a formation shaped by
- 3:21consciousness through the condensing of energy.
- 3:25Albert Einstein stated quote. One thing I have learned in a
- 3:29long life that all our science measured against reality is
- 3:34primitive and childlike. We still do not know one
- 3:40thousandth of 1% of what nature has revealed to us.
- 3:44It is entirely possible that behind the perception of our
- 3:48senses, worlds are hidden of which we are unaware.
- 3:54End Quote. The mother observes quote.
- 3:58And there there are as many and even many more things to see and
- 4:04observe than in our poor little material world, which belongs to
- 4:08only one zone of this infinite graduation.
- 4:12You meet all sorts of things in these domains, and you need to
- 4:16make a study as profound, perhaps still more profound than
- 4:21in the physical world, to be able to know what is happening
- 4:25there, to have relations with the beings who live there.
- 4:31It is obvious that as one goes farther, as it were, from the
- 4:35material world, the forms and consciousness of those beings
- 4:39are of a purity, beauty, and perfection much higher than our
- 4:44ordinary physical forms. It is only in the nearest vital
- 4:49world, the one which is, so to say, mixed with our material
- 4:53life, though it lies beyond it, and there is a zone where the
- 4:57vital is no longer mixed with the material world.
- 5:01Of that material vital, one can say that in some of its aspects
- 5:05it is even uglier than things here, for it is filled with a
- 5:10bad will which is not counterbalanced by the presence
- 5:14of the psychic being, which in the physical world amends,
- 5:18corrects, puts, right, directs this bad will.
- 5:24But it is rather a limited zone, and as soon as one goes beyond
- 5:28it, one can find and meet things that are not favorable to human
- 5:31life beings, not on the same scale as human existence, but
- 5:37having their own beauty and grandeur, with whom one may
- 5:40establish relations which may become quite pleasant and even
- 5:45useful. End Quote reference.
