- 0:51Speaker 2: How are we doing, sir? Now, We're doing great. Happy
- 0:53Speaker 2: to be back at Rawse's. Of course every single Friday
- 0:57Speaker 2: during the season we will be right here Ralse's Market
- 0:59Speaker 2: on Burbanks. So you know, just like always walking in early,
- 1:04Speaker 2: about thirty twenty five to thirty minutes earlier than you
- 1:06Speaker 2: normally to prep. But you know what I was about
- 1:09Speaker 2: the fiftieth person through these doors this morning, because everybody
- 1:12Speaker 2: working here at Ross's is getting ready they open up here.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I guess they just opened about two minutes ago. Doors open,
- 1:17Speaker 2: getting ready for all you tailgators having a stock up
- 1:21Speaker 2: on some food, some bevies, some bruskies, some hydration. This
- 1:27Speaker 2: man right here every day make a sushi may at
- 1:30Speaker 2: six am every single day. Practice bars already popping, popping.
- 1:35Speaker 2: See somebody up there right now? Good, ready to roll. Man.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Tiger's playing home tomorrow. I'm excited. Guess who's making an appearance?
- 1:43Speaker 2: You Team Flynn parking pass. Some people are saying, I
- 1:50Speaker 2: got a parking pass. Shout out to our guy, mister
- 1:52Speaker 2: Brandon Bull. Hurly, thank you sir. Here you go. Yep, yep.
- 1:57Speaker 2: We're going to actually just complaining every single day on air.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Finally somebody shows a pity, shows pity. Somebody stepped up
- 2:05Speaker 2: to the plate. So looking forward to it. We will
- 2:08Speaker 2: be there, all five of us, my two little girls.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Probably a little sleepy at halftime, but we'll see see
- 2:15Speaker 2: what happens.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I hope I'm not sleepy at halftime. That
- 2:19Speaker 3: means the game's been boring that I'm calling so because
- 2:21Speaker 3: we'll be winning by so much, no doubt, no doubt.
- 2:26Speaker 3: A good good last night football, little Giants and Eagles.
- 2:29Speaker 3: I mean, the Saints are basically Super Bowl champs.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Basically the Saints are better than the Eagles. File quite
- 2:37Speaker 2: a lot too.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Look, we joke, the Giants beat at the time the
- 2:45Speaker 3: undefeated Chargers, and then they lost to the Saints, and
- 2:48Speaker 3: then they go and beat the four to one defending
- 2:50Speaker 3: Super Bowl champ Eagles.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah, they sandwiched the Saints loss with the two of
- 2:54Speaker 2: the better teams in the NFL. Yeah victories. So people
- 2:58Speaker 2: are talking, are the Saints coming? Have they not coming? Okay,
- 3:05Speaker 2: that's what we said. I'm an NFL so wild man,
- 3:07Speaker 2: I mean, you got. It's just anybody can win any
- 3:11Speaker 2: given Sunday. That's why they made a movie about it.
- 3:13Speaker 2: But everybody's talented, and it just depends on the It's
- 3:17Speaker 2: so much depends on emotion at the time, game plan,
- 3:21Speaker 2: a few plays here and there. But of course the Giants,
- 3:26Speaker 2: I mean they the game was so exciting last night
- 3:28Speaker 2: just because for one, tip of the cap to Amazon,
- 3:33Speaker 2: because they do like a really, really good job in
- 3:36Speaker 2: that broadcast. Like when when you move a broadcast to
- 3:39Speaker 2: a different station or a stream or an app or whatever,
- 3:42Speaker 2: that's never really done it. You don't know what to get.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Now they've been doing it for a couple of years now,
- 3:46Speaker 2: Like from day one, that coverage was great. I love
- 3:50Speaker 2: the back cover of The Alternate View as well. Have
- 3:53Speaker 2: you watched that? The Alternate View is really fun. I
- 3:55Speaker 2: don't like to watch the whole thing on that, but
- 3:57Speaker 2: I do like to kind of go and see it
- 3:59Speaker 2: from the above a go kind of get the birds
- 4:00Speaker 2: out of you. But did a great job, Jackson Dart, Wow,
- 4:06Speaker 2: bring in some energy, camp Scataboo, Wow, bring in some energy.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Crayons were deleted last night. My god, it's unbelievable. Crayons
- 4:16Speaker 2: were deleted last night. Camp Scataboo. You're a beautiful human.
- 4:21Speaker 2: You were a caveman? Yeah? What was his mom said?
- 4:26Speaker 2: He did?
- 4:26Speaker 3: He used to dress up in his brother's pads and
- 4:28Speaker 3: run into telephone phone poles.
- 4:30Speaker 2: That's right, tracks, Yeah, I think she said that you
- 4:36Speaker 2: like to take the short bus just because the windows
- 4:37Speaker 2: tasted better. I don't know.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Okay, look, just because he's a little aggressive. Okay, my goodness.
- 4:47Speaker 3: So I didn't get a chance to he's a.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Little aggressive exactly, that's a good way to put it.
- 4:53Speaker 3: So I didn't get a chance to watch all the
- 4:56Speaker 3: NFL game last night. We had we had a a crazy,
- 5:01Speaker 3: crazy schedule in the Hester household, so Katie had to
- 5:03Speaker 3: work concessions last night, because if you are a middle
- 5:08Speaker 3: school parent, you have to work at high school game.
- 5:11Speaker 2: High school. Well, you know, we got everything covered.
- 5:13Speaker 3: We got we got high school, middle school, elementary, before school,
- 5:18Speaker 3: Mother's day out.
- 5:19Speaker 2: We got them all covered, right, So she was doing that.
- 5:21Speaker 2: So I had Harlow.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Well, so Jackson had a varsity game and it started
- 5:26Speaker 3: at six, and so I wanted to go see some
- 5:28Speaker 3: of that obviously, of course, So get Harlow, get get
- 5:33Speaker 3: get the boys packed up. We go see that. I'm
- 5:34Speaker 3: going to watch, you know, at least at least hopefully
- 5:39Speaker 3: until the second quarter. They were playing a team that
- 5:40Speaker 3: they were gonna be okay kids. They were twenty eighth
- 5:43Speaker 3: to nothing, I think, but in the second quarter before
- 5:46Speaker 3: I left.
- 5:46Speaker 2: And so I'm going there.
- 5:47Speaker 3: And then Memphis has his big game against our our buddies.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Like the baseball team's split in the half right, and
- 5:53Speaker 3: one football team here and one football there, and so
- 5:56Speaker 3: it's like, oh, I got to go see all of
- 5:57Speaker 3: our like all my boys, like not just Memphis and
- 5:59Speaker 3: his team, but you know, I coach baseball too, so
- 6:01Speaker 3: to watch them.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And so I get there and.
- 6:04Speaker 3: It's like I got Harlow with and so like I'm
- 6:07Speaker 3: I've met these football games. I'm like pushing the stroller,
- 6:10Speaker 3: like just because all you got to you gotta keep moving.
- 6:12Speaker 2: You got to keep moving.
- 6:13Speaker 3: You can't stop to stop if you're in trouble, right,
- 6:15Speaker 3: So exactly, And so I got my steps in last
- 6:19Speaker 3: night whatever, like the marker is, I got the steps in.
- 6:23Speaker 2: So I'm trying to.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Like kind of like just yeah, yeah, good job, good job,
- 6:27Speaker 3: like as I'm fading away, trying to make sure I walk.
- 6:30Speaker 2: But crazy night, but fun night.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Filled with football. Watching this a little bit as I
- 6:35Speaker 3: got home, so everywhere from me, did you watch?
- 6:38Speaker 2: Uh well, did you walking up to work any He's
- 6:40Speaker 2: still pretty sore from the flag football game on Tuesday
- 6:43Speaker 2: night we played them. Yeah, you know, And I said,
- 6:46Speaker 2: say the third day, you know, yeah, I still got that.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I just set up to the group, you know in
- 6:51Speaker 3: Leo and Wolf of Wall Street's trying to crawl back
- 6:53Speaker 3: to the car. I'm still kining there. He's still kind
- 6:56Speaker 3: of there, still kind of at that point, there's are
- 6:58Speaker 3: my enemy right now for sure. Yeah, it's just the
- 7:01Speaker 3: I don't know what, like these muscles like right above
- 7:04Speaker 3: your quads, like great blue hip flexers.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Twelve they're not flexing. It ain't flexing. They the flexen
- 7:09Speaker 2: ain't flexing. Well, I don't really have a good comeback
- 7:16Speaker 2: for that. So they're just old. I guess. Sorry. I
- 7:21Speaker 2: don't think I'm that old. But I will say my
- 7:23Speaker 2: son wanted to throw the ball in the backyard yesterday
- 7:26Speaker 2: and the old right there with the peck connects to
- 7:28Speaker 2: the shoulder and then everything else around the shoulder kind
- 7:31Speaker 2: of tough to lift up a little bit. But you
- 7:33Speaker 2: know what, for one night, we were Kings. We were Kings.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I still had it for one night. But okay, so
- 7:42Speaker 2: let me just talk a little bit about the game.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So you saw all kind of the end of it.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw the end of it, and I saw
- 7:47Speaker 3: the highlights that kind of led to the score.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yah. Well, a lot of things came out of it.
- 7:51Speaker 2: First of all, the city of New York, and this
- 7:54Speaker 2: probably the state of football is a little bit in
- 7:56Speaker 2: love with the Jackson Dartists Camp Scataboo right now. The
- 7:59Speaker 2: player certainly are in love with those players.
- 8:03Speaker 3: The yeah you want amazing Russell Wilson to Jackson Dart Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 2: It's amazing. What two players with that kind of like
- 8:08Speaker 2: young dumb energy yeah, can like bring the juice and
- 8:12Speaker 2: then on top of that play really well against veterans
- 8:17Speaker 2: and in the NFL. So like what took Brian dave
- 8:20Speaker 2: Ball so long to get Jackson Dart You know, I
- 8:22Speaker 2: say so long a couple of games, right, but like
- 8:25Speaker 2: the amount of juice that they bring, just playing being
- 8:28Speaker 2: able to make plays with his feet was really impressive.
- 8:32Speaker 2: He went out at one point during the game. I
- 8:34Speaker 2: think it might have been second quarter. You don't correct
- 8:36Speaker 2: me if I'm wrong. I think it was second quarter,
- 8:38Speaker 2: went into the tent and you couldn't really tell from
- 8:42Speaker 2: the hit, so it's like one of those hits you
- 8:43Speaker 2: couldn't really tell. I think it was something like that.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I think maybe something happened with his chain that he
- 8:48Speaker 2: was wearing and like that, like something happened like up
- 8:51Speaker 2: like above the neck area, but you couldn't really tell
- 8:53Speaker 2: what concussion type shot. He goes into the tent and like,
- 8:59Speaker 2: can I tell you? Everybody was trying to get in
- 9:01Speaker 2: that tent to see, like hurry up, yes, we're still
- 9:03Speaker 2: we still got the ball we got against the Eagle.
- 9:06Speaker 2: This might have been third We got the lead against
- 9:08Speaker 2: the Eagles. We got the ball. We're moving. We just
- 9:10Speaker 2: got a first down. You scrambled for it. So day
- 9:15Speaker 2: Balls like looking in the tent and so Russell Wilson's
- 9:18Speaker 2: out on the field and like the fans are booing
- 9:20Speaker 2: like no, get this guy out of here, blah blah blah.
- 9:23Speaker 2: And then Russe Wilson does an incomplete pass on third
- 9:25Speaker 2: down and day Ball goes to the tent and starts
- 9:28Speaker 2: like undressing the doctor, undressing him. The guy's like, what,
- 9:33Speaker 2: I'm doing my job right here. Yeah, Cam scattabooz like
- 9:36Speaker 2: poking his head and there, like, come on, bro, come
- 9:38Speaker 2: on brother. You see jack and Dart like looking above,
- 9:40Speaker 2: like the little meshed part of the tent, and I
- 9:43Speaker 2: saw some like I saw like he's in a pody.
- 9:46Speaker 2: So everybody's like, what get him out of there now,
- 9:48Speaker 2: we need him now this this fan, this fans are
- 9:51Speaker 2: about to turn on us. I saw some tweets. I
- 9:54Speaker 2: think it was b a PFT commentator that that tweeted
- 9:57Speaker 2: it out Jackson Jackson Dart has been then approved to
- 10:01Speaker 2: go back in the game by camp Scataboo, so it's
- 10:05Speaker 2: been released. So he goes back to the game. Man,
- 10:07Speaker 2: they just played great, and then I mean, come on,
- 10:09Speaker 2: I don't know if I can just like shout from
- 10:11Speaker 2: the mountain that I told you so so more than
- 10:15Speaker 2: I can do about the tush push. I don't know
- 10:18Speaker 2: if you heard about this. First half, the Eagles get
- 10:21Speaker 2: to like the five or six yard line something, it
- 10:23Speaker 2: might have been the four, and it's like third and short,
- 10:26Speaker 2: not in goal, right, they run four tush pushes in
- 10:30Speaker 2: a row and score a touchdown four in a row,
- 10:34Speaker 2: four in a row. And can I tell you nobody
- 10:39Speaker 2: was happy about it? Yeah, except for Eagles fans, like.
- 10:42Speaker 3: The announcers even like Herbie.
- 10:45Speaker 2: They were like, huh they did it. Yeah, it's four
- 10:48Speaker 2: in a row. There. You could tell. You could see A. J. Brown,
- 10:51Speaker 2: the receiver for the Eagles, like they call it again,
- 10:54Speaker 2: and he's like raising his hand like are you serious.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Everybody's like, everyone's like, is this really happen? It's real
- 11:01Speaker 2: right now. Twitter's lighting up about it. Everybody's you know, MICHAEH.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Parsons tweets out like this is not football. Yeah, no,
- 11:08Speaker 2: it's no, it's rugby. Rugby. It was. It was bring
- 11:14Speaker 2: the full back, dive back. It was embarrassing, man, it
- 11:17Speaker 2: really was. And so like, if you're the Eagles, and
- 11:21Speaker 2: you skirted by this offseason with on a vote to
- 11:25Speaker 2: keep it in the game, which you know, I think
- 11:27Speaker 2: everybody's going to be screaming out to get it out.
- 11:29Speaker 2: But you would think, if you want to keep it
- 11:32Speaker 2: in the game because that's what helps your team and
- 11:34Speaker 2: you can do it really well, maybe not do it
- 11:37Speaker 2: four times in a row on a primetime game. Yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 2: maybe just do it once. Yeah, maybe maybe do it
- 11:45Speaker 2: one time and flop like where, don't make it, don't
- 11:47Speaker 2: let it work one time. I don't know, you would
- 11:48Speaker 2: think that if you want to keep it in there,
- 11:49Speaker 2: not get it voted out in this offseason.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Don't do it on primetime on Thursday night in front
- 11:54Speaker 3: of everybody four times.
- 11:55Speaker 2: In a row. Four times in a row. Not a
- 11:57Speaker 2: great look, anyhoy. There's my old man on a front porch.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Take right there. But oh, I think that's another thing.
- 12:06Speaker 2: What's your front porch got to do with it? What
- 12:08Speaker 2: is it? Front front line? I don't know. Get off
- 12:11Speaker 2: my line, Get off on the line, Get off the line.
- 12:13Speaker 2: There we go, kids, or go off our front porch. Whatever.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Either one. Another really funny thing happened in the game. Uh,
- 12:21Speaker 2: let's see the giants were on the goal line. Camp
- 12:23Speaker 2: Scataboo is running like a madman on the goal line
- 12:27Speaker 2: and he reaches over and the ball you know, crosses
- 12:30Speaker 2: the goal line, but then he gets knocked backwards and
- 12:33Speaker 2: then the referee on the sideline, the line judge says
- 12:35Speaker 2: for forward progress was stopped. He didn't see him reach
- 12:38Speaker 2: it because it was like a really quickly jabbed it
- 12:40Speaker 2: over there. Yeah, he marks him down and so he's
- 12:43Speaker 2: got his hand up like marking the ball dead right here,
- 12:45Speaker 2: and Jackson darts like running. Jackson Dark runs over to him.
- 12:48Speaker 2: He's like raising his hands up like yeah, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown,
- 12:51Speaker 2: and he just keeps his hand up and Jackson Dart
- 12:53Speaker 2: like looks around and he gave into his like intuition,
- 12:56Speaker 2: He gave into that inner voice in his head and
- 12:59Speaker 2: he five the ref. Oh no, yep, high five the ref.
- 13:04Speaker 2: You get a penalty. Let me tell you, I was
- 13:06Speaker 2: laughing my butt off. Did he get a penalty? He didn't? Okay, good,
- 13:10Speaker 2: He played it off because it wasn't like I'm mad
- 13:13Speaker 2: at you.
- 13:13Speaker 3: It was just like you know, sometimes like if you
- 13:15Speaker 3: picked up the flag and handed it back to him,
- 13:17Speaker 3: or if you did something like that, like, don't throw a.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Fly, like yeah, I want you to just see. Yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 2: that's what That's the word I was looking for there.
- 13:22Speaker 2: It's intrusive thoughts. Uh. It wasn't like me and I'm
- 13:25Speaker 2: mad at you. It was like I'm just happy to
- 13:27Speaker 2: give someone a high five right now?
- 13:28Speaker 3: Yeah, ye, all right, pretty genuine tough night for Philly
- 13:32Speaker 3: sports fans, for the Phillies and the way that they lost,
- 13:35Speaker 3: and for the Eagles to lose to the Giants, for
- 13:38Speaker 3: the Phillies.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Happy. Oh I hate you, Phillies. I'm so happy that
- 13:45Speaker 2: Eagles lost. I hate you. Yeah. Sure, I don't care
- 13:47Speaker 2: about that as much, but Phillies, I like the Eagles.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Bad night for Philly sports fans. So all right, let's

- 17:01Speaker 3: so I'm going to anticipate there's going to be something new.
- 17:05Speaker 3: These teams will have something new. For the other team,
- 17:08Speaker 3: there's going to be something that you haven't seen before. Now,
- 17:11Speaker 3: both these teams are bad at running the football. LSU
- 17:14Speaker 3: fifteenth in the SEC, South Carolina sixteenth in the SEC. Right,
- 17:18Speaker 3: so that's the point of emphasis probably for both teams.
- 17:22Speaker 3: For South Carolina, they're looking for weapons to help out
- 17:26Speaker 3: Lenora Sellers.
- 17:27Speaker 2: He doesn't have a running game.
- 17:29Speaker 3: He doesn't have a go to receiver right now, so
- 17:32Speaker 3: they're trying to find one, and it's been really troublesome
- 17:37Speaker 3: for them. Like when you watch that receiver corps, it
- 17:39Speaker 3: is not consistent. Even though they've got guys that look
- 17:41Speaker 3: great in their uniform. They're looking for somebody that can
- 17:44Speaker 3: step up and be their go to target. Like for LSU,
- 17:48Speaker 3: trying to find ways to run the football. Like, you've
- 17:50Speaker 3: got the receivers, you've got the weapons, that's not your issue,
- 17:54Speaker 3: but it's like consistently running the football, committing to the run,
- 17:59Speaker 3: making plays down field in the passing game. So these
- 18:02Speaker 3: offenses right now kind of limping into this matchup, but
- 18:06Speaker 3: they are both coming off of a bye.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Week, Yeah, coming off of bye week, which is some
- 18:12Speaker 2: teams are probably better at bye weeks than others too. Like,
- 18:15Speaker 2: there's improvements that can always be made on every team,
- 18:18Speaker 2: whether you're undefeated, whether you're hitting on cylinders, or whether
- 18:20Speaker 2: you are struggling in different aspects of the game. There's
- 18:24Speaker 2: improvements to be made. And a lot of times it's
- 18:27Speaker 2: not like a huge like tear everything down to the studs.
- 18:31Speaker 2: We got to reinvent the wheel type situation. It's little things,
- 18:35Speaker 2: little things here and there that you got to just
- 18:37Speaker 2: realize that, you know, we're we're this far off on
- 18:41Speaker 2: some things, but we do have to philosophically make some
- 18:45Speaker 2: a couple of changes. So I think LSU is kind
- 18:48Speaker 2: of like somewhere in the middle there, Like they do
- 18:51Speaker 2: need to add some actual x's and ode type plays
- 18:55Speaker 2: to their offense, to their repertoire how they are calling
- 18:57Speaker 2: the game. But I think there's a lot of little
- 19:00Speaker 2: things that they can do to improvement. We've talked about
- 19:02Speaker 2: that a lot. We've talked about a lot about that
- 19:04Speaker 2: and run Like let's call a run play, and let's
- 19:06Speaker 2: run a run play. Let's not give him the option
- 19:08Speaker 2: to throw it. Let's not give him the option to
- 19:09Speaker 2: do anything else. Let's run a run play. Let's simplify
- 19:12Speaker 2: the calls on offense. From that, our offensive linemen are
- 19:14Speaker 2: making the communication between center to guard to guard to
- 19:18Speaker 2: tackle to tackle to tie it end. Let's let's minimize
- 19:21Speaker 2: that communication. Let's limit it. Let's give him some calls,
- 19:24Speaker 2: of course, cause we still want to get in a
- 19:25Speaker 2: good play. We want an advantageous play, but it doesn't
- 19:28Speaker 2: always have to be the perfect play. Let's just run
- 19:30Speaker 2: a play and then we'll see how the offense kind
- 19:33Speaker 2: of changes. Garrett Nsmeyer able to have a week of rest,
- 19:37Speaker 2: Like I know he got some much needed rest. We
- 19:39Speaker 2: don't know the severity of whatever was going on with him,
- 19:42Speaker 2: but we know something was there. Yeah, can he turn
- 19:46Speaker 2: it around? Can he get to the Garrett Nusmeyer that
- 19:49Speaker 2: we know and love that we've seen. And that's the
- 19:51Speaker 2: frustrating part that everybody's had. It's like it's not having
- 19:54Speaker 2: a success, not doing the things because we know he
- 19:56Speaker 2: can do it. Like if we had never seen him
- 19:58Speaker 2: do it, it's just all right, Well, we got work
- 20:00Speaker 2: around it. We got to figure it out. Like this
- 20:01Speaker 2: is this is what we are like. When you've seen
- 20:04Speaker 2: it time and time again, it makes it a lot
- 20:07Speaker 2: more frustrating. So I still have high hopes that Garrett
- 20:12Speaker 2: usmy we will start improving and getting better and better.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Hopefully this little this seven days of rest will kind
- 20:21Speaker 2: of be the catapult that that helps him go. What
- 20:27Speaker 2: do you think, in your heart of hearts?
- 20:29Speaker 3: Do you think we'll see some differences in the run game?
- 20:37Speaker 3: You got to ask me that, Bud, my heart of hearts,
- 20:40Speaker 3: because this is the hard hitting journalism for I know.
- 20:45Speaker 2: You got to ask the tough questions that people are
- 20:47Speaker 2: afraid to.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Huh, and my heart of hearts, do you think that
- 20:51Speaker 3: you'll see something different? I'm not This isn't a success
- 20:54Speaker 3: rate question. I'm not talking about that. You're talking about
- 20:58Speaker 3: from a.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Just like, will you see something that is different?
- 21:02Speaker 3: So when I say different, you don't run all the
- 21:05Speaker 3: RPOs that we've talked about. Uh, maybe you you come
- 21:09Speaker 3: back and you have Jack Pybrin at fullback like you
- 21:13Speaker 3: had the one play that is your longest run of
- 21:16Speaker 3: the year.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Yeah, And to me like that to answer that question,
- 21:18Speaker 2: it's like, to see something different is not to see
- 21:20Speaker 2: it one time or not to see it in the
- 21:23Speaker 2: first fifteen yeah, or like once in the one, like
- 21:25Speaker 2: if they if they brought out a fullback one time
- 21:27Speaker 2: in a game. To me, that's not something different. It's
- 21:29Speaker 2: just like phone in a at that point. It's a
- 21:31Speaker 2: trick play, right, it's not. And it kind of hurt
- 21:34Speaker 2: when you said it like that. Well, if you but
- 21:36Speaker 2: anything you throw, you do something once a game to
- 21:40Speaker 2: throw somebody off. It's it's a trick play. Whether it's
- 21:42Speaker 2: a triple reverse pass or it's a throwing a fullback
- 21:45Speaker 2: in there that you've never done before. I don't know.
- 21:51Speaker 2: In my heart of heart. Since you're putting a gun
- 21:53Speaker 2: to my head here, I'm gonna say it's no gun.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna say no gun here at rouses I've said
- 21:59Speaker 2: the metaphor football gun. Okay, I'm gonna say no. From
- 22:04Speaker 2: a philosophical stample, we'll do. I think that we'll have
- 22:06Speaker 2: more success. Are successful improve Yes, I do, But I
- 22:10Speaker 2: think it could be more of them looking at what
- 22:15Speaker 2: we've done as it's I don't know if they're going
- 22:17Speaker 2: to look at it and say what we're doing is
- 22:19Speaker 2: not working, or they're going to look at it and
- 22:21Speaker 2: say we just got to fix a few things. We're
- 22:23Speaker 2: really closed. And if they just like clean up calls
- 22:27Speaker 2: and make the lineman more aggressive, make the ability agreeability
- 22:32Speaker 2: to be aggressive and stop thinking so much and trying
- 22:35Speaker 2: to be perfect. I think that will improve. Now. Will
- 22:38Speaker 2: it make us a juggernaut? No, but we don't. You
- 22:42Speaker 2: don't need to be. I don't think if Nussmayer can
- 22:45Speaker 2: get to the level he's been, you don't need to.
- 22:47Speaker 2: You know, you listen this and listen.
- 22:49Speaker 3: You don't have to be Missouri who is running for
- 22:53Speaker 3: two hundred and ninety two yards per game in the SEC.
- 22:57Speaker 2: It's not what we're talking about.
- 22:58Speaker 3: You don't have Like, that's not you, and that's fine,
- 23:01Speaker 3: Like you don't have to be that, all right, but
- 23:05Speaker 3: you can't be fifteenth in the SEC?
- 23:07Speaker 2: Can you be? Can you be ninth? Can you be
- 23:11Speaker 2: ninth in rushing? And nice second ninth? You know what
- 23:13Speaker 2: I mean?
- 23:13Speaker 3: Like if you're ninth, we're talking about a different football
- 23:15Speaker 3: team altogether, because it's complementary, okay, because you still are
- 23:20Speaker 3: going to be able to hit some stuff in the
- 23:22Speaker 3: passing game. You hope, like you said, nus Meyer's feeling better.
- 23:25Speaker 3: You don't have to be number one but can you
- 23:29Speaker 3: be ninth, because with the way your defense is playing, right,
- 23:33Speaker 3: that's your complementary offense where maybe you're fifth and passing
- 23:36Speaker 3: in ninth and rushing yep, and overall your sixth or
- 23:39Speaker 3: seventh in total offense. But you got a second ranked,
- 23:42Speaker 3: third ranked defense that is peering together to make a
- 23:46Speaker 3: pretty damn good football team.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yep. No, you're right, You're absolutely right. I mean, this
- 23:50Speaker 2: is a thank you. They've pretty said that for this
- 23:54Speaker 2: is a team that has an elite defense, and I
- 24:00Speaker 2: think this is a very gain and we can talk
- 24:02Speaker 2: about that matchup when we come back. But the defense
- 24:05Speaker 2: versus their offense. But this is a team that you
- 24:08Speaker 2: don't have to be the greatest offense in the country.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Although the pieces are there too, there's no there's nothing
- 24:16Speaker 2: stopping this offense from getting back to where it was
- 24:19Speaker 2: a year ago, right in the passing game. IMEE with
- 24:21Speaker 2: you except themselves? Right, Yeah, so I'd like to see it.
- 24:24Speaker 2: But man, if they can just make steady improvements on
- 24:28Speaker 2: the offense, that defense keeps playing like they have been playing,
- 24:31Speaker 2: this team still has everything they want out in front
- 24:34Speaker 2: of them. All Right, we'll take a break.

- 26:23Speaker 3: I was like trying to get out of the attention
- 26:25Speaker 3: because I know he's working on another thing. You know,
- 26:28Speaker 3: we got the Saints starting quarterback on since Rattler, So
- 26:32Speaker 3: I'm trying to he's trying to work on that, and
- 26:34Speaker 3: Laundre has done a great job working on that. So
- 26:35Speaker 3: I'm just trying to get his attention without being like, hey, sit,
- 26:38Speaker 3: I had him play well, you know, but now here
- 26:41Speaker 3: we are, I said it.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Let me tell you. The team's been working hard. You know.
- 26:45Speaker 2: There's so there's a an extra set of challenges that
- 26:48Speaker 2: presents itself when you're not in the comfort of the
- 26:51Speaker 2: your own studios. Sometimes when you got the from the
- 26:53Speaker 2: technical standpoint, and you know, when you have someone like
- 26:56Speaker 2: Spencer Rattler joining the show, you want to make sure
- 27:00Speaker 2: all your t's are crossed, all your eyes are dotted. Yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 2: a little, and we're gonna have them on videos. Their
- 27:10Speaker 2: eyes are dotted, absolutely, except that the power strip under
- 27:13Speaker 2: the desk it wasn't plugged down, and said, my computer
- 27:16Speaker 2: dat a little bit. I saw you panic a little bit. Well,
- 27:19Speaker 2: you know, man, info at my fingertips.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Could you do the show without a computer in front
- 27:24Speaker 3: of you?
- 27:24Speaker 2: The question? Could I do the show? Yeah? I could
- 27:27Speaker 2: do the show. Look, I still got my cell phone.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I got two screens for a reason. I got two screens,
- 27:36Speaker 2: all right. Before we get to the kind of like
- 27:39Speaker 2: that scene from Forgetting Sara at Marshall where he's like, man,
- 27:42Speaker 2: I came to the Islands and stopped wearing a watch,
- 27:44Speaker 2: He's like, oh cool, man, that's awesome. How do you
- 27:46Speaker 2: know what time it is? I got one on my
- 27:48Speaker 2: cell phone. That's true, that's very fair. All right.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Before we get to the l SU defense versus the
- 27:54Speaker 3: South Carolina offense, I want to remind you about our
- 27:57Speaker 3: friends over at Gordon McKernon injury Attorneys. Gid gordon dot
- 28:00Speaker 3: com is the website you can see past client results,
- 28:03Speaker 3: cases they can handle for you in the courtroom right
- 28:06Speaker 3: there on the homepage.
- 28:07Speaker 2: You can have a chat with them right there on.
- 28:08Speaker 3: The homepage of the website if you want to see
- 28:11Speaker 3: what they're doing in the local communities throughout the state
- 28:14Speaker 3: of Louisiana. At gid Gordon's always going to be the handle.
- 28:16Speaker 3: They're on all major social media. So go ahead, pick
- 28:19Speaker 3: up the phone, put your area code in Louisiana, follow
- 28:22Speaker 3: about eighty eight eighty eight eighty eight, gig Gordon and
- 28:24Speaker 3: get it done. All right, Let's take a look at
- 28:27Speaker 3: the defense for LSU against the South Carolina offense. Now,
- 28:32Speaker 3: LSU right now points per game in the SEC amongst
- 28:35Speaker 3: SEC teams, they are third there behind Texas. Yeah, Texas
- 28:39Speaker 3: at twelve, Oklahoma at seven. So LSU right now right
- 28:43Speaker 3: behind Texas only giving up twelve point two points per game.
- 28:47Speaker 3: This is a South Carolina offense that we talked about
- 28:50Speaker 3: is dead last and rushing less than one hundred yards
- 28:55Speaker 3: per game. All right, So you start to look at
- 28:57Speaker 3: some of the numbers the tail the tape, LSU right.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Now only giving up eighty four point.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Four yards per game on the ground, So you would
- 29:07Speaker 3: think that those two things competing against each other, LSU
- 29:12Speaker 3: is going to be victorious in that portion of it.
- 29:15Speaker 3: So it's going to be okay if South Carolina comes
- 29:19Speaker 3: out and they have a game plan to go through
- 29:21Speaker 3: Lenora Sellers put it on his arm. How's LSU's pass
- 29:25Speaker 3: defense right now? They are kind of in the middle
- 29:28Speaker 3: of the pack when it comes to the SEC rankings.
- 29:31Speaker 3: They give up two hundred and eight yards per game
- 29:34Speaker 3: through the air. A lot of that obviously old miss
- 29:36Speaker 3: added to it the last time out.
- 29:38Speaker 2: So if you're LSU, You've got a couple decisions to
- 29:44Speaker 2: be made.
- 29:44Speaker 3: How aggressive are we going to be against the quarterbacks
- 29:47Speaker 3: certainly that can pull the ball down and make plays
- 29:50Speaker 3: on his own.
- 29:51Speaker 2: What kind of coverages are we going to play?
- 29:53Speaker 3: How aggressive are we going to be in our coverage
- 29:55Speaker 3: selections as well? Because if I'm South Carolina, I know
- 29:58Speaker 3: LSU's great stole the run. If you can make any hay,
- 30:02Speaker 3: it's going to be through the air.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Now.
- 30:04Speaker 3: I'll also say this South Carolina and their passing offense
- 30:09Speaker 3: is I believe I think it's fourteenth in the SEC.
- 30:12Speaker 3: They only throw for two hundred and eight yards per game.
- 30:15Speaker 3: So if your South Carolina's off its coordinator right now,
- 30:20Speaker 3: all right, your shoela, and you're trying to come up
- 30:22Speaker 3: with a game plan against this LSU defense. Do you
- 30:26Speaker 3: think it's going to be trying to have some Q
- 30:28Speaker 3: runs and on the ground or do you think it's
- 30:31Speaker 3: going to be through the air with the ability to
- 30:33Speaker 3: have Lenora Sellers kind of make a play with his
- 30:36Speaker 3: legs and maybe an organized chaos situation.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a tough situation because you're going into a
- 30:41Speaker 2: game against a defense that is proven to be really
- 30:44Speaker 2: really good, really talented, really fast, and they've also proven
- 30:47Speaker 2: to be really good to a complimentary a good comparable
- 30:52Speaker 2: to your quarterback and Kate club nick over at Clemson.
- 30:55Speaker 2: So how they the window dressing, the game plan, how
- 30:58Speaker 2: they're able to spy and keep him in the pocket,
- 31:00Speaker 2: because you know both these guys, both those guys, that's
- 31:03Speaker 2: good comparison between them two. They can both beat you
- 31:05Speaker 2: with their arm, but they can they like to beat
- 31:07Speaker 2: you with their legs. And that's that's a shocking number
- 31:09Speaker 2: to me, Sorry a staff that they're so low in
- 31:11Speaker 2: rushing yardage with Lenora Seller's ability to get outside the
- 31:15Speaker 2: pocket and turn pass plays that were turned pass plays
- 31:17Speaker 2: into rushing yards with with a scramble. Lenard Sellis has
- 31:21Speaker 2: not had the year that everybody thought that he could.
- 31:24Speaker 2: The talent is still there, his weapons are not really there,
- 31:31Speaker 2: but that isn't to say he's not dangerous. He looked
- 31:35Speaker 2: in one of their losses, he looked probably the best
- 31:38Speaker 2: of the best of the year. I think it was
- 31:39Speaker 2: against Missouri. He was throwing the ball all over the
- 31:42Speaker 2: yard and that was his best passing game. So it's
- 31:45Speaker 2: just like which which Lenori's is going to show up
- 31:47Speaker 2: or which offense is going to show up that's going
- 31:49Speaker 2: to provide him that opportunity. How they had a bye week,
- 31:53Speaker 2: so they had a week to work on this. Right,
- 31:55Speaker 2: if I was them, I would have spent the week
- 31:58Speaker 2: working tempo offense. Maybe not every drive, but we're gonna
- 32:01Speaker 2: put together a We're gonna put together a couple of
- 32:05Speaker 2: ten plays scripts that were really comfortable whether and it
- 32:08Speaker 2: could be the most basic plays. It could be our baseline,
- 32:11Speaker 2: you know, two minute drive type pass plays and a
- 32:14Speaker 2: couple of zone runs and a couple of zone reads
- 32:17Speaker 2: and an RPA. They could take some bass plays and
- 32:19Speaker 2: run a tempo offense, and they might like if I
- 32:22Speaker 2: was them, I would have spent three four days in
- 32:24Speaker 2: practice working on it, multiple drills during during this because
- 32:27Speaker 2: that's the been the only way to get this offense
- 32:30Speaker 2: on their or get this LSU defense on their heels
- 32:33Speaker 2: a little bit, and to stop them from doing all
- 32:35Speaker 2: their complicated pre snap looks where they got walk arounds.
- 32:39Speaker 2: You don't know who's come and where their disguises. It
- 32:44Speaker 2: prevents defenses from being able to do that. So if
- 32:47Speaker 2: I'm watching LSU and saying, all right, what was the
- 32:49Speaker 2: worst game they played, Well it was Old Miss. Okay,
- 32:51Speaker 2: well Old Miss do they went really fast and.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Got you're able to replicate can't replicate it, but you
- 32:57Speaker 3: can your version. Yeah, and you can do a couple time.
- 33:00Speaker 3: You can do your version of it, like the thing
- 33:02Speaker 3: with Old Miss. It's so impressive and I've said it
- 33:04Speaker 3: multiple year, it's not just this year.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Like when their.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Receivers catch a ball, Let's say it's like a fifteen
- 33:09Speaker 3: yard out route. They catch the ball and they tumble
- 33:11Speaker 3: out of bounds and they're on the other team's bench.
- 33:14Speaker 3: They are doing everything they can to sprint back to
- 33:18Speaker 3: the line right, they're moving people out of the way,
- 33:20Speaker 3: they're giving the ball to the officials, not throwing the
- 33:21Speaker 3: ball the identic because they want to give the ball
- 33:23Speaker 3: to the official and they want to go. It's impressive
- 33:25Speaker 3: to me, like you can you can take the hardest
- 33:27Speaker 3: hit over the middle and it's like you're limping and
- 33:30Speaker 3: crawling and like trying.
- 33:31Speaker 2: To still get the ball to the official.
- 33:32Speaker 3: So you can't replicate that in two weeks in the
- 33:36Speaker 3: totality of what they do.
- 33:37Speaker 2: But you can do a version of it. Yeah, And
- 33:39Speaker 2: you can't make that identity, but you can throw it
- 33:41Speaker 2: in there and make it a little change up.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gosh that that offense and the tempo that
- 33:46Speaker 3: they play at it is highly impressive. I mean it's
- 33:49Speaker 3: not just them Tennessee does it. Mississippi State tries to
- 33:52Speaker 3: do a version of it at times. But I would
- 33:55Speaker 3: fully expect South Carolina to have something for LSU where
- 33:59Speaker 3: it is high, high tempo and we're talking about twelve
- 34:03Speaker 3: seconds from where the ball is down to the next snap. Yeah,
- 34:06Speaker 3: for sure, I think that's I think that's old. I
- 34:08Speaker 3: think that's the old. Miss I think it's twelve second.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Yeah, And just like This is kind of like my
- 34:12Speaker 2: notes and my keys to victory for this LSU defense
- 34:17Speaker 2: versus leonor sounds like. Look, he is a big kid.
- 34:20Speaker 2: He is strong. He can break tackles, but you can
- 34:23Speaker 2: confuse them a little bit. You can get to him.
- 34:25Speaker 2: This is going to be a safety game for LSU.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Good safety play is key, and our safeties look pretty
- 34:34Speaker 2: darn good. So that was my key to victory against Clemson.
- 34:38Speaker 2: It's kind of the same. If we have a really
- 34:39Speaker 2: good game from the safeties, look out, I think we'll
- 34:42Speaker 2: have a good game.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Safety's actually played well against Old Miss too. Just wasn't enough.
- 34:46Speaker 3: All right, we will take a break and when we
- 34:49Speaker 3: come back, are going to be joined by the starting
- 34:51Speaker 3: quarterback for your New Orleans Saints, Spencer Rattler right here
- 34:54Speaker 3: on OTV.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Off the bench.
- 34:59Speaker 3: All right, good to All Star toroyda vadrouge dot com.
- 35:01Speaker 2: All Star toyo vatdrouge dot com.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Buying, new, leasing, renting, every single thing is available. So
- 35:07Speaker 3: no matter what your needs are, no matter what your
- 35:08Speaker 3: family's needs are, they are always going to be met over.
- 35:12Speaker 2: At All Star.
- 35:13Speaker 3: If you want to go watch the Tigers play this far,
- 35:15Speaker 3: you want to go to Tuscaloosa. Maybe you want to
- 35:17Speaker 3: go to Norman. Right, LSU doesn't go there. This is
- 35:19Speaker 3: a new trip for them. You want to go stay
- 35:21Speaker 3: in Oklahoma City, you want to drive there, you want
- 35:23Speaker 3: to have a car so you can go be bop
- 35:25Speaker 3: around town, or you can rent that from All Star
- 35:28Speaker 3: all Star toyff Venus.
- 35:29Speaker 2: That's right. And also if you're gonna rent from All Star,
- 35:31Speaker 2: like you might be thinking, oh, I don't want to
- 35:33Speaker 2: rent from a dealer because it's probably gonna be way
- 35:35Speaker 2: more expensive than going to the airport and renting from
- 35:38Speaker 2: one of those big national rental companies. Now per day
- 35:40Speaker 2: rental prices right there as good or better as those
- 35:44Speaker 2: national companies, and you can choose from anything right there
- 35:47Speaker 2: on a lot. Who does that? So if it's that
- 35:48Speaker 2: time of year, if you just need a new car,
- 35:51Speaker 2: use car, a long term lease or rental, go check
- 35:54Speaker 2: them out. I'll start toy at Batonrouge dot com.
- 36:01Speaker 1: From players to Legends and Flynn breakdown LSU football like
- 36:05Speaker 1: only champions.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Cans Our live here.
- 36:12Speaker 3: It is ot b at Rowse's the official supermarket of
- 36:15Speaker 3: the New Orleans Saints. And well, who better to come
- 36:19Speaker 3: on the show than when you're at the official supermarket
- 36:21Speaker 3: of the New Orleans Saints, and the starting quarterback for
- 36:24Speaker 3: the New Orleans Saints, Spencer Ratler, joins the show. Now, Spencer, Man,
- 36:28Speaker 3: we hope you're doing well. Truly appreciate the time.
- 36:30Speaker 4: Yes, sir, thank you guys for having me.
- 36:33Speaker 3: All right, So, look, we talk about it all the
- 36:35Speaker 3: time when you're in the NFL, Man, wins are hard,
- 36:38Speaker 3: and wins matter so much, and it doesn't matter if
- 36:42Speaker 3: you win two to nothing, three to two, it.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Does not matter. A win is a win. So how
- 36:46Speaker 2: to feel to get the victory the other day?
- 36:48Speaker 3: The locker room scenes were incredible, like what is that win?
- 36:52Speaker 2: And what does that win kind of mean moving forward?
- 36:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's great to get a win under
- 36:56Speaker 4: your belt.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Took longer than expected, but like you said, it's tough
- 37:01Speaker 6: to come across him, and you know, you're happy to
- 37:03Speaker 6: get one down and you just want to keep stacking them.
- 37:05Speaker 4: So I think the vibes are high.
- 37:07Speaker 6: We want to keep this thing rolling and continue to
- 37:10Speaker 6: get better each week and come out with more wins.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Spence the the we saw everyone saw the video in
- 37:18Speaker 2: the locker room after the game. Kellen Moore kind of
- 37:20Speaker 2: giving game balls, talking about different accomplishments during the game.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Then of course you got your guy, Alvin given Kellen
- 37:27Speaker 2: Moore the game ball for his first win as a
- 37:30Speaker 2: head coach. So just tell me, like, what what's it
- 37:32Speaker 2: mean for having him there, getting to win for him,
- 37:35Speaker 2: and how has been how has it been like adapting
- 37:37Speaker 2: to him as a head coach and just playing for him.
- 37:41Speaker 4: It's been awesome. I mean ever since he got here.
- 37:43Speaker 6: I think the culture he brought in, just how he
- 37:46Speaker 6: you know, goes about his business, how he how he
- 37:48Speaker 6: treats us, all that stuff. I mean, he's a player's
- 37:52Speaker 6: coach for sure, and you know, happy for him to
- 37:56Speaker 6: get his first win. You know, he's a great, great dude,
- 38:00Speaker 6: obviously a great play caller and can bring a locker
- 38:02Speaker 6: room together.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Uh, Spencer, I had a chance to interview you on
- 38:06Speaker 3: NFL Radio down in training camp and we talked about,
- 38:10Speaker 3: you know, for you to have Scott Tolzen he was
- 38:13Speaker 3: a former teammate, actually both of ours as your quarterback coach.
- 38:15Speaker 3: You got Doug as the OC, you got Kellen as
- 38:17Speaker 3: your head coach, Like, what is that meant? Kind of
- 38:20Speaker 3: having all of these guys that have played the position
- 38:23Speaker 3: at the National Football League level to be able to
- 38:25Speaker 3: kind of bend their ear a little bit when you're
- 38:27Speaker 3: trying to get ready for a game and even in
- 38:29Speaker 3: game situations.
- 38:31Speaker 4: It's been, it's been.
- 38:32Speaker 6: It's been great, you know, having three guys that all
- 38:35Speaker 6: played the position at the highest level, just bouncing ideas
- 38:39Speaker 6: off them, uh, taking any advice. I mean, we all
- 38:41Speaker 6: don't see the game the same, but we all you know,
- 38:45Speaker 6: have our own feel for it, so we can, you know,
- 38:48Speaker 6: have conversations about looks, about this, about that. So it's
- 38:52Speaker 6: been very beneficial for me and everybody else in the room.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Spence, my, some of my best memories of being in
- 38:58Speaker 2: the league was like in the quarterback room because you're
- 39:01Speaker 2: you're with those guys every single day, you know whatever
- 39:04Speaker 2: what is six, eight, ten, twelve hours a day, whatever
- 39:07Speaker 2: it is. So some of my best memories of those
- 39:09Speaker 2: relationships in every quarterback room every single year was a
- 39:12Speaker 2: little bit different, whether there's a new coach or whether
- 39:14Speaker 2: there's a new new practice squad. I got, whatever it was. So,
- 39:17Speaker 2: how was the quarterback room this year? With you, my guy,
- 39:20Speaker 2: Scott Tolzen, Tyler, Jake, everybody, How has that room been
- 39:24Speaker 2: this year?
- 39:25Speaker 4: It's a fun room.
- 39:26Speaker 2: You know.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Scotty Man, he's a great dude.
- 39:28Speaker 6: Man, He's he's we like to mess with Kotty, but
- 39:34Speaker 6: he's awesome. Tyler, Jake Hunter and Nuts obviously, So we
- 39:40Speaker 6: got a good room and Taysom.
- 39:41Speaker 4: Don't forget about Taysom. Yeah, so we got a we
- 39:44Speaker 4: got a great room. Man.
- 39:44Speaker 6: We joke around a lot, but you know, obviously we
- 39:47Speaker 6: talked ball. But you got to be laid back in
- 39:49Speaker 6: those quarterback rooms.
- 39:50Speaker 2: As you know. Hey, look as Scott, has he ever
- 39:52Speaker 2: shown you the video of his spin move against the Vikings?
- 39:55Speaker 4: We showed it in the team meeting.
- 39:57Speaker 2: I believe it.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Was the sex. I don't know, kick.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I think it's the best spin move of quarterbacks ever
- 40:05Speaker 2: put on somebody in the middle of the field.
- 40:08Speaker 4: Yeah, other than Michael Vick's, he's probably.
- 40:11Speaker 2: No doubt. Dude.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Hey, you mentioned Taysom there. How good was it to
- 40:15Speaker 3: get a couple of guys back last week? You get
- 40:18Speaker 3: Taysom Hill back, you get our guy Foster Moro back,
- 40:21Speaker 3: and I know they've been working hard to get back,
- 40:22Speaker 3: but just to have those guys, veteran guys, guys that
- 40:25Speaker 3: certainly are going to help any offense that they can
- 40:27Speaker 3: kind of come in certainly at that point in the
- 40:29Speaker 3: season kind of give you a little bit of a jolt.
- 40:32Speaker 4: One hundred percent.
- 40:33Speaker 6: I mean, just having those guys back dressed out on
- 40:36Speaker 6: the field is possible for our team.
- 40:38Speaker 2: You know.
- 40:38Speaker 6: I think we saw that last game with the energy
- 40:41Speaker 6: they brought. And then obviously when they're on the field,
- 40:44Speaker 6: their ability to make plays, you know, starts with Taysom
- 40:47Speaker 6: he could you know, do it all, as you guys know.
- 40:49Speaker 6: And then Foster is a true tight end, can block, run, catch,
- 40:52Speaker 6: do it all. So those are two reliable guys and
- 40:54Speaker 6: two of our best players.
- 40:56Speaker 2: All right, Spencer, So big news here over here. So
- 40:59Speaker 2: of course there's a big game tomorrow here in Baton Rugs, Louisiana.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Right now you're kind of talking to Baton Ruge, You're
- 41:04Speaker 2: talking to almost everybody here in Louisiana. We're all excited,
- 41:08Speaker 2: and of course you're Alma Maters, South Carolina coming down
- 41:12Speaker 2: to take on the LSU Tigers. Man. So we wanted
- 41:15Speaker 2: to kind of just pick your brain a little bit about,
- 41:17Speaker 2: you know, not really the game, but your experiences what
- 41:19Speaker 2: it was like, because I know you had a ton
- 41:21Speaker 2: of success in South Carolina. You had played some really
- 41:23Speaker 2: big game. But your coach, coach Beember. He seems like
- 41:26Speaker 2: I've heard him talk. I was at SEC media days,
- 41:29Speaker 2: and he seems like a guy that players love to
- 41:32Speaker 2: play for. Tell me your experience about him, what he
- 41:35Speaker 2: brings as a head coach.
- 41:37Speaker 6: Yeah, he was the main reason I went to South Carolina.
- 41:40Speaker 6: Definitely a players coach. You know, a guy that's fiery
- 41:43Speaker 6: and very emotional for his players, which you want to
- 41:46Speaker 6: see when you're on his team. And I mean he'll
- 41:49Speaker 6: go to battle with them, you know, with us till
- 41:52Speaker 6: the end. So great leader, great family man, and has
- 41:57Speaker 6: that program going in the right direction for sure.
- 41:59Speaker 4: I think everybody he knows that, and he's awesome.
- 42:03Speaker 3: See Spencer, I'm jealous for you because you get a
- 42:05Speaker 3: chance to play in the super Dome, which is very
- 42:07Speaker 3: college like atmosphere. So when you play your you know,
- 42:09Speaker 3: your games at Williams Brice one of the best atmospheres
- 42:12Speaker 3: in college football. Like, you get that experience I think
- 42:15Speaker 3: at the pro level as well. Look, I played in
- 42:16Speaker 3: San Diego and so you know, sometimes the other team
- 42:19Speaker 3: would have more fans than us.
- 42:20Speaker 2: That's just kind of how it was.
- 42:22Speaker 3: But you get like almost like a true college experience
- 42:25Speaker 3: there in the Superdome, and you know you're coming from Williams.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Bryce, so not much of a drop off there for you, not.
- 42:30Speaker 6: Much of a drop off at all, you know, pretty similar,
- 42:32Speaker 6: both very loud and sold out, it seems like every time.
- 42:35Speaker 6: So it's definitely definitely very cool.
- 42:38Speaker 2: That's right. Hey, So this is year two for you
- 42:40Speaker 2: in New Orleans, and look, everybody gets it. It's a
- 42:43Speaker 2: culture shot because it's a long way from Arizona. For
- 42:46Speaker 2: it's a long way from Columbia, it's a long way
- 42:47Speaker 2: from Norman. Like, how has your experience, how have you
- 42:50Speaker 2: adapted to the Louisiana culture, the New Orleans culture?
- 42:54Speaker 6: It's been great, you know. I think the people here
- 42:56Speaker 6: are awesome. You know, it's like a family vibe everywhere
- 42:58Speaker 6: you go, which is what I like. You know, I
- 43:02Speaker 6: feel like most of the places I've been it's been
- 43:03Speaker 6: like that. So but the people here are special, the
- 43:06Speaker 6: fan base obviously, the food's great, you know, and it's
- 43:12Speaker 6: a great city. Man, It's a different type of city
- 43:14Speaker 6: and I enjoy it a lot.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Like the culture.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Yeah, did you ever think, like one of the main
- 43:19Speaker 3: questions that you would get as a starting quarterback for
- 43:21Speaker 3: an NFL team, is what's your favorite restaurant? As much
- 43:24Speaker 3: as you've probably gotten it there for the Saints.
- 43:27Speaker 4: No, I mean they they definitely asked that a lot.
- 43:31Speaker 4: A tough answer. There's so many, as you guys know,
- 43:35Speaker 4: to pick one.
- 43:37Speaker 3: I'm not even gonna put you on the spot because
- 43:38Speaker 3: i know you've had to answer that so many times,
- 43:40Speaker 3: and you're right, it's a tough answer, and if you
- 43:41Speaker 3: say the wrong thing, it can go a lot of
- 43:43Speaker 3: different ways.
- 43:43Speaker 2: And so that's a great answer if you say for sure,
- 43:46Speaker 2: that's right, all right, Spencer. So, like we want to
- 43:51Speaker 2: have a we want people to kind of get to
- 43:53Speaker 2: know you, get to know your personality a little bit.
- 43:54Speaker 2: It's the first time talking to our station. Uh, you
- 43:58Speaker 2: got a big fall in here, a lot of fans
- 44:00Speaker 2: loving what y'all are doing. And so we want to
- 44:03Speaker 2: kind of end this segment right now with a little
- 44:05Speaker 2: thing that we're gonna call rapid fire with rattler. Someone
- 44:08Speaker 2: ask you some questions, just pop off some answers. You
- 44:11Speaker 2: can go to detail if you want. But I'm actually
- 44:13Speaker 2: now that y'all said that, I'm gonna take off the
- 44:15Speaker 2: favorite restaurant take that off. No more of that, and
- 44:19Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie I did. I did text tolls
- 44:21Speaker 2: in two days ago and ask a little inside scoop.
- 44:23Speaker 2: So you ready for this, let's go. All right, Spencer,
- 44:28Speaker 2: do you believe in ghosts to some degree? Some degree?
- 44:35Speaker 2: All right? If you were thrown into an NBA game,
- 44:39Speaker 2: how many points would you score?
- 44:41Speaker 5: Uh?
- 44:42Speaker 4: Probably like six?
- 44:44Speaker 2: There you go. Scott told me you were like a
- 44:46Speaker 2: legitimate ball. Okay, that's why that's why we asked.
- 44:49Speaker 4: Look it up on YouTube.
- 44:52Speaker 2: All right, favorite Saints uniform combination.
- 44:57Speaker 6: I would say that all whites were super shark this year,
- 45:00Speaker 6: but I liked all black two.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Just there you go. Okay, all right. What's your go
- 45:03Speaker 2: to order at Taco Bell?
- 45:05Speaker 4: Oh that's a good one.
- 45:07Speaker 6: You gotta go with the I like the Crispy Cantina
- 45:11Speaker 6: Chicken tacos.
- 45:12Speaker 2: All right, Okay, that's deep detail. I like that.
- 45:17Speaker 6: That's my that's my go to there with the steak burrito.
- 45:21Speaker 6: I don't know, it's just.
- 45:24Speaker 2: All yet, right all right. Number one used emoji on
- 45:27Speaker 2: your phone?
- 45:28Speaker 4: Probably the one hundred emoji or the laughing emoji?
- 45:32Speaker 2: All right?
- 45:33Speaker 3: The last one there, we're trying to come up with
- 45:36Speaker 3: the nickname. Do you have a favorite nickname so far
- 45:38Speaker 3: that you've heard about you? Rat Pack, rat Dad, rattlesnake.
- 45:43Speaker 2: I like rat Dad.
- 45:44Speaker 4: That's a good one.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Hey, Spencer Man, can't thank you enough during the season.
- 45:51Speaker 3: We appreciate hopping on with us and best of luck
- 45:52Speaker 3: the rest of the way.
- 45:53Speaker 4: Yes, sir, thank you guys. You'll have a good one.
- 45:55Speaker 2: All right, you as well.
