- 0:37All right. Welcome back.
- 0:38Thank you for those that have been listening.
- 0:40Welcome back. And before we get started, we
- 0:43always pray so. All right.
- 0:45God, thank you so much once again for allowing us just to be
- 0:50here and to continue your will being in being in your will, for
- 0:56you are the one true living God, and there's no one greater than
- 0:58you. Praise your holy mighty name.
- 1:01Amen. Amen.
- 1:04All right, so today was an interesting day.
- 1:09But you know, we were meditating today and we realized something.
- 1:15And the only reason we realized it is because, and I'm, I'm
- 1:19we're talking about believers here.
- 1:21Oh yes. People from the world.
- 1:23Yeah. It's one thing, yeah, Sometimes
- 1:30believers, when they're doing God's will, while they're doing
- 1:33God's will, they make it. About themselves?
- 1:36Yeah, man. That that's true?
- 1:38Or when they disalign from God's will.
- 1:41We'll use some certain examples. And you might think that you are
- 1:45doing something correctly, but you are in.
- 1:49In other words, it's disobeying or not in His will.
- 1:51Yeah, you also make it about yourself.
- 1:54That's true. And authors get affected by it,
- 1:57Yeah. So it's like a ripple effect.
- 2:00Yeah, absolutely. And we're not speaking about
- 2:03cultural Christians or people that just check off the list on
- 2:07Sunday. We're actually talking about,
- 2:08like, real, genuine people like that follow God and are after,
- 2:15you know, God's mission. We're speaking about those
- 2:18people. Another another scenario could
- 2:21be that a believer sorry about that God is presenting them an
- 2:27opportunity and they almost like no, not almost.
- 2:30It requires obedience, level of obedience and they partially
- 2:37execute it, but partially kind of holding back.
- 2:40Yes, absolutely, that does happen a lot.
- 2:44That does definitely happen a lot.
- 2:46And, and we see even in Scripture how people, when God
- 2:52orders something, commands it, and you halfway do it, you know,
- 2:57you see God's reaction to it exactly.
- 2:59For example, like David, the Ark of the Covenant, it was told
- 3:05hold it a specific way. Yeah.
- 3:07There's there's several examples like Jonah which will go deep
- 3:11into it. Yes, yeah.
- 3:13The prophet Jeremiah giving an order to the kings and Zaciah.
- 3:17There's much more examples. Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 3:20And usually they take these scriptures and they kind of say
- 3:24like, oh, you, you have to obey God, yet they only stay within
- 3:27that. But they don't.
- 3:30They don't. They don't talk about the people
- 3:32of being affected. Yes, yeah.
- 3:34They don't, Or at least they don't see it.
- 3:36Right. Yes, yeah.
- 3:37And that's the the realization I think I believe no confidently
- 3:42believe we had that we make it so much about ourselves and what
- 3:50we're doing for God or if even if we are in disobedience right
- 3:55yeah that we neglect or you. We don't even care that others
- 3:58are being affected and whereby others we're saying believers.
- 4:00Yes, believers. Or even non believers who are
- 4:03potentially there's like a ripple effect and there's proof
- 4:06of this. Absolutely, absolutely.
- 4:10And so. What's common in a bunch of
- 4:15preachers? Who, who you share sermons,
- 4:18they, they share it in in such a way where like you gotta, you
- 4:22gotta follow God's will, right? And they use these examples,
- 4:27right? And the negative consequences of
- 4:29what happens if you don't follow God's will to that person,
- 4:31though? Absolutely they.
- 4:32Make it so much about that person.
- 4:34Yeah. But they don't talk about, they
- 4:38don't talk about the other people.
- 4:39Around, that's true, yeah. Being affected by the one who is
- 4:43disobeying. Exactly.
- 4:44Not following the will exactly. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:46No, you're right. I haven't heard really anybody
- 4:48really speak about this. But when we were meditating and
- 4:52then you brought that up, then all of a sudden all these
- 4:54stories, stuff started popping up in my head like Jonah.
- 4:57And then right now, I just remember the story of Hezekiah,
- 5:00too. Really.
- 5:02Yeah, yeah. Like he, you know, for those
- 5:05that don't know Hezekiah, he was a faithful king, trusted in God
- 5:09a lot. And he was in the sick bed and
- 5:14got, you know, the prophet Isaiah told him, you know, just
- 5:19get ready, you're going to die. And then he turns around and
- 5:22throws a fit and he's like, God, can you please spare my life?
- 5:27And then no. I'm intrigued.
- 5:28In what way? Because yeah, I didn't think of
- 5:31this story. Oh, OK.
- 5:32Yeah, no, I'm gonna get to it. I'm gonna get to it.
- 5:34So after that, God says to Isaiah, go back and tell
- 5:39Hezekiah that I will, you know, basically recover him from
- 5:42sickness. And then he does.
- 5:45But this is the problem. After he got recovered, he
- 5:49started like showing off the riches of Israel.
- 5:53OK. Yeah, later on.
- 5:55Yeah. Later on, yeah.
- 5:56And he brings other, you know, people from other nations.
- 5:59Specifically from Babylon? Yes, from that region.
- 6:01Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. It brings them and starts
- 6:03showing off. That makes sense.
- 6:05And then Isaiah's like, what are you doing, man?
- 6:07Do you not know that in the future your people, the people
- 6:10of Israel, are going to be affected by this?
- 6:13And it has a guy who's like, well, I'll be, I'll be dead by
- 6:16then. So that's not my problem.
- 6:18That's their problem. No, actually I know you're
- 6:22paraphrasing but it but but it does say that.
- 6:24Yes, yes, exactly. And if anybody wants to read it
- 6:26is in Second Kings chapter 19. Read the whole thing, you know,
- 6:30it's very, very interesting. And and my question is how does
- 6:35it, how does it affect not him necessarily right of that moment
- 6:39of of arrogance, you could say? Oh, it definitely was arrogance.
- 6:45You see, this is the thing God said to Isaiah, you know, like
- 6:49tell Hezekiah, you know, it's he's, he's in the sick bed.
- 6:53He's done prepare. He's going to.
- 6:55It was almost like doing him a favor.
- 6:56Yes, yes, God was like, all right, this is.
- 6:58This is my. No one reads it like that
- 7:00though, but yeah, this. Right.
- 7:01And then he makes his like prayer to God.
- 7:03He's like God, you know, I've done all these amazing things
- 7:05for you. Can you spare my life for only
- 7:0815? I think it was 15 more years or
- 7:09so and God and you know, God was like, all right, well, 'cause
- 7:13you know, God is, it's his will. He can do whatever he wants.
- 7:17He's outside of all things like he can, he can do whatever he
- 7:21wants basically. So after that, you know, he goes
- 7:25back as a guy, recovers and then in, in my opinion, well, I
- 7:31don't, I don't even think this is a thought like our opinion.
- 7:33I just see that like Hezekiah, like not accepting the fact that
- 7:38God is like, oh, you're done. It's OK, you're going to come
- 7:40with me. Instead, he throws a huge fit.
- 7:43Yeah, he starts saying. God, have I not been?
- 7:45Faithful. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:46And then Isaiah tells him, yo, you got to repent because of
- 7:50what you did. Is it Isaiah?
- 7:52Yeah, it was. It was the prophet Isaiah.
- 7:54No way. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:56Isaiah the prophet Isaiah says, yo, you got to repent because of
- 8:00what you just did. Israel now is going to get
- 8:02affected. And then Hezekiah is like, oh,
- 8:05man, well, I'm going to be long gone by then.
- 8:08But The thing is that. I see was like, they're being
- 8:12affected. Yeah, that's a ripple.
- 8:13Of they're going to be affected even in the future too, in the
- 8:16future, in the future, they're going to be affected.
- 8:18That's what Isaiah says. He says, well, because of what
- 8:20you did now, now Israel is going to suffer because of that,
- 8:25because of what you did, you showing off all the treasure and
- 8:29everything to the other nations they know now and they're going
- 8:33to come after us now because of you.
- 8:35So it's your fault. And Hezekiah is like, well, I'll
- 8:38be dead by then. I do.
- 8:40Yeah, he did say that. But The thing is that, you know,
- 8:43the God's like his plan was he's like, I'm going to take him with
- 8:49me. In in other words, giving Israel
- 8:53time. Yes, yes.
- 8:54Extending the time. But because Hezekiah started
- 8:57throwing a fit, justifying all the things he did for God, he's
- 9:00like, have I not done these things for you?
- 9:02Lord? He's, you know, he starts
- 9:03mentioning the things he did and the guy's like, all right, well,
- 9:07he's going to lose. He's going to so.
- 9:09It seems like if we are, if we incline to obedience, things may
- 9:19seem prolonged, but they'll be done right.
- 9:23Yes. Absolutely.
- 9:24And by right, it's not that God doesn't know.
- 9:26By right, meaning the path what we'll walk will be peaceful but
- 9:30prolonged. Yeah.
- 9:31Yeah. But our disobedience seems like
- 9:34it. If anything, it it accelerated
- 9:39it. Yeah, yeah, man, because
- 9:40clearly, clearly God was not OK with what Hezekiah.
- 9:44And it and not only did it accelerated it, it also had
- 9:48severe consequences. And then later on, you see that
- 9:51Israel suffered after that. Yeah, badly, right?
- 9:55Very badly. So impatientness, yeah.
- 9:57But see, one would say, well, they make it about Hezekiah,
- 10:01right? But you're you're talking about
- 10:03how he is affecting his future generation.
- 10:06Yes. To calm, right?
- 10:07Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And amazing that you use this
- 10:10story because this happening in our modern time.
- 10:16It has happened also historically, right?
- 10:18The early church, whatever the early church meaning from the
- 10:221st century to the 1st 300 to 500 if you will, their progress
- 10:28works so well that it set up it, it positively gave a good ripple
- 10:34effect to the future generation. But then that generation kind of
- 10:39aligning this aligning right, making it above themselves.
- 10:43Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was also have a ripple effect
- 10:46up until this moment. Yes, where look where we are now
- 10:49like someone in social media can a Christian influencer quote UN
- 10:53quote right. He's he's so he thinks he's
- 10:57doing God's will. Maybe he is or not and doesn't
- 11:00real and he's making it about some because usually on these
- 11:03podcasts, I mean, I want to stay away from like always talking
- 11:05about ourselves. But there's some experiences
- 11:07that we learn that are humbling. Yeah, yeah, but they make it
- 11:11about themselves a little too much.
- 11:12Right, right. That that has a ripple effect to
- 11:18who's listening, right? Will potentially listen to.
- 11:20Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Not in a positive consequence,
- 11:24if you will. And so it's interesting how it's
- 11:27happening in in the modern time through social media.
- 11:29Yeah, yeah, man. Right.
- 11:31Yeah. We really don't know the effect
- 11:32that like all the stuff that's happening right now, the social
- 11:36media trends, all this stuff, it's, it's gonna affect.
- 11:40So as believers, So what you're saying, as believers, we have to
- 11:42be very careful. Absolutely, yeah.
- 11:45If we're if, if we are in God's mission, we have to be very
- 11:48careful. That's what Paul says, you know,
- 11:50discern the perfect will of God. Yeah, you know, like James says,
- 11:53not many should be teachers. Yes, exactly.
- 11:55Or examine yourselves. Yeah, You know what I mean?
- 11:57Yeah. So stuff like that, you know,
- 12:00very important to keep in mind. Yeah.
- 12:01We make you so much about, oh, it's in the mission.
- 12:04Me, me, yeah, Yeah. And the moment you're disobeying
- 12:06or obeying, the people on the outer are being affected.
- 12:09By it, that's true. Yeah.
- 12:10So that was interesting. I didn't.
- 12:12I didn't think about it initially.
- 12:14No, you know, it's funny enough because I, this story came to my
- 12:19mind as we were coming into the podcast, right?
- 12:23And I was like, I was like, oh, wait, Hezekiah, that's a, that's
- 12:26actually a really good example. And you want to know something?
- 12:28So now that you mentioned that, right, right, right.
- 12:31So he, he says that to the, you know, if anybody's interested,
- 12:35go read it. His response was insane.
- 12:38Oh yeah, yeah. Remember Second Kings chapter
- 12:4019? Read the whole thing.
- 12:42So, so then we come Jeremiah 3839, where he speaks about the
- 12:47the what Babylon will do to Israel, the the punishment
- 12:50that's coming. In other words, the punishment
- 12:52that Israel was still going to receive was going to come no
- 12:54matter what. OK, Yeah, yeah.
- 12:56It seemed like that was inevitable.
- 12:59But when he was telling Hezekiah, I'm going to take you,
- 13:02he was prolonging that, right? Prolonging it, right?
- 13:05Yeah. Yeah.
- 13:06So that didn't, they didn't have to be under bondage and and
- 13:09slavery for such a long time. It could have been a much
- 13:11shorter time, but you know what? So this is also in Second Kings
- 13:162420. What what story is Hezekiah?
- 13:19What chapter? Hezekiah is in Second Kings
- 13:22chapter 19. OK, yeah, this is chapter Second
- 13:25Kings chapter 2014. So it's later on now.
- 13:28So Zedekiah, right? Probably one of the descendants
- 13:31of Hezekiah because he's the king of Judah.
- 13:33Oh, OK. And he's, he was being told by
- 13:36Jeremiah. I'm just paraphrasing the story.
- 13:38Yeah, yeah, he's being, he's being told by Jeremiah to
- 13:41surrender, to give up easily. Do not resist, right?
- 13:46Because the the what? Babylon.
- 13:48Babylon was coming. You couldn't stop that, right?
- 13:50God was letting. And Jeremiah was like, that's
- 13:52coming. You can't avoid that.
- 13:53That's inevitable. It's happening, right?
- 13:55Jeremiah tells the king, just give up, surrender at peace,
- 13:59don't fight it. But the king, you know, he was
- 14:02making about himself. He's being the king.
- 14:04God is with me. No way this could happen.
- 14:07He also felt the pressure of the people and Right and the
- 14:10advisors, the elders. And he was like, you know what?
- 14:13Like we got to stay in the stands.
- 14:14He tried to allied himself with Egypt.
- 14:17All of this. Yeah.
- 14:18Betrayed Babylon in every way. So Zedekiah refused.
- 14:23And when he gets caught, his kids get killed, I believe, And
- 14:27his eyes got taken out. I could be wrong, but you could,
- 14:29you could verify that in that story.
- 14:31Second, Kings 24 to 25 and Babylon invades Jerusalem.
- 14:35Jerusalem, and here is the aftermath.
- 14:37This is happening what was told to Hezekiah.
- 14:42Oh, no way. This is it right here.
- 14:44OK. This is it, right here, right?
- 14:45Because of the riches, Yes, that Jerusalem had.
- 14:49Babylon wanted them. Remember, when a king or an
- 14:51emperor wants to conquer, they're going for the gold.
- 14:53Oh yeah, absolutely. We're going for all of that.
- 14:55Yep. Because that's power.
- 14:57Yeah. You conquer the the treasure.
- 14:59That's it. Yep, it is power, yeah.
- 15:02So Babylon invaded Jerusalem. The city was destroyed and many
- 15:05people were killed. Others were taken to exile, and
- 15:08Zedekiah himself lost everything.
- 15:10The suffering of the entire nation followed the King's
- 15:12refusal to obey God's warning. Wow.
- 15:18So. Wow, yeah.
- 15:20What Zekiah did. Uh huh.
- 15:22Is was affecting them, which then is happening now in chapter
- 15:262425, and then his disobedience, the refusal that he was having
- 15:31against Jeremiah's message be he didn't want it.
- 15:34Wow. So the whole nation suffered by
- 15:36it because of that. The whole southern part of you
- 15:40could say the land of Israel now, yeah, was taken to exile by
- 15:44exile, meaning taken away from their home man to what now is
- 15:49called Iraq. Oh wow.
- 15:51If he would have surrendered in peace, everybody in peace,
- 15:54things would have been completely different.
- 15:55Very different. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 15:58They would have been no necessary of exile.
- 16:01They would have just taken the land, put a governor or a king
- 16:04there and they just had to be ruled.
- 16:06That's it. But.
- 16:09Because he disobeyed. Yeah.
- 16:11It turned out to be exile. Anyways, that was an inevitable
- 16:14thing. Babylon coming was an inevitable
- 16:16thing, right? Yeah.
- 16:17So you see the ripple effect, Yes.
- 16:19That the people suffer around. Absolutely.
- 16:21That don't even, you know, they don't even know what's going on.
- 16:25They're trying to do God's will, and yet here's a leader who
- 16:29here's a leader who has insight, who can get a message from God
- 16:37to close proximity and still disobeys, not knowing that that
- 16:41could affect others around. Him.
- 16:43Wow. Making it about himself.
- 16:45So that's a. The ripple effect, yeah.
- 16:48And then it's funny that it's it's literally deals with the
- 16:50kings because we're going to do King David, the one you
- 16:52mentioned, which is like one of the forefathers of Hezekiah,
- 16:55cause Hezekiah is a descendant of David.
- 16:57Right. And David, interestingly,
- 17:02becomes the like first, not first king, but he was a second
- 17:06king from Seoul. But when I mean by first
- 17:09legitimate, it was in the aspect of someone whom God had chosen.
- 17:15Saul was chosen by the people. That's true.
- 17:17I was like, whatever, yeah. But God chose David anyways.
- 17:21He does God's will. You know, a lot of mistakes that
- 17:24David did, but they were trying to get back the the ark of the
- 17:27covenant. There was a like how you said
- 17:30there was a specific way to carry the covenant and he's
- 17:33like, you know what, no, we're going to make a new car, a
- 17:36chariot. We're going to go pick it up,
- 17:37you know, all the 9 yards. Yeah, yeah.
- 17:39They go get it and they're celebrating it and feasting and
- 17:42God was like livid. Oh, very livid.
- 17:45To to all of them, and who all of them were worshipping,
- 17:49Because who was worshipping? Who's the leader?
- 17:53David David is the leader. So they're all obviously
- 17:56following his lead, not knowing that they're going to be
- 17:58affected by his mistake for not being diligent and and doing his
- 18:02research. Yeah, yeah, God kills.
- 18:05One of his friends. Yes, and.
- 18:07One of the priests, I believe. And it wasn't his like, closest
- 18:09friend. Yeah, one of his.
- 18:10Yeah, very close friends. And it was only because the
- 18:14covenant I think like fell off, right.
- 18:15And then he went. To it was tumbling and then he
- 18:17tried to like catch it. And boom, God strike them down.
- 18:20Yeah, so exactly. A lot of people use the story
- 18:23about like, oh, we shouldn't, we shouldn't let the modern world
- 18:27come into our lives because that there, there is that analogy
- 18:31there because David made a new card like the the Philistines.
- 18:35Yeah, no, that's a different conversation.
- 18:39We're talking about here how people around the leader, the
- 18:42one who's doing God's will or disobeying, are being affected.
- 18:45Absolutely right. Absolutely.
- 18:47They can be affected positively or be affected negatively.
- 18:50Yeah, when he died, David was upset and mad, but mostly upset
- 18:54and sad. And he goes, finds out why did
- 18:57this happen? And then he finds that darkness
- 19:00is supposed to be carried on their shoulders, but not only
- 19:02Kyrie. They were supposed to wash their
- 19:04hands and purify themselves. There's like, a ritual ceremony,
- 19:09right? When he finds out, he then tells
- 19:10the priest, we're going to do this.
- 19:11And then we go, yeah, When they do that, who were they listening
- 19:15to? Oh, the priest.
- 19:17Or the. Who, who, who when David came
- 19:20and and they started to do all, all the research that David did.
- 19:24Yeah. Who were they listening?
- 19:25To they were listening to God's command.
- 19:26Yeah, yeah, but who? Who read the command?
- 19:29Wasn't it David, David. Yeah.
- 19:30So you see how how much effect the leader has that be a leader
- 19:34that be someone a mentor within the Christian community,
- 19:37anything, anything an an adult elder, how how it could affect
- 19:42you and you might not even know that it's affecting you.
- 19:44And this was was completely out of negligence.
- 19:47Yeah, very true. So.
- 19:49Even out of negligence, God is still upset because he knows
- 19:52there is. I don't even know how you could
- 19:55call this like a willing ignorance like you.
- 19:58That sounds very like paradoxical.
- 20:00But you're choosing to. It's like you choose and you
- 20:03choose at the same time. It's weird but even though he
- 20:08punished them for not knowing, uh huh, he still like he will
- 20:12still keep good negative consequence even if you don't
- 20:14know because he expects you. You have a brain.
- 20:17Yeah, right. So when they do all that
- 20:20research, they get prepared and they go get it.
- 20:23Everything was good. Yeah, yeah.
- 20:25After that everything was good. Absolutely.
- 20:27And also, who's the who's the nation that took the covenant?
- 20:33I think it was a Philistines. No, it was a Philistines.
- 20:35And then there was like a bunch of plagues after that, right?
- 20:37And they were suffering, and they were.
- 20:38Like they just dropped it in someone's household.
- 20:40Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that family household was
- 20:43getting. Blessed, right?
- 20:44Yeah. So there's a ripple effect.
- 20:46It's a ripple effect. Man.
- 20:47Yeah, man. Right.
- 20:48You see it all. So we we, we always, we always
- 20:51make it. We centre it to oh me or the
- 20:53person and being involved, but are the people outside of the
- 21:00ones being affected? By it, yeah, man, absolutely,
- 21:02totally agree. You know what I mean?
- 21:04Let me give you an example. I'm going to use me as an
- 21:09example. Not that we're going to talk
- 21:11about me, not in that way, right?
- 21:13I have a company right now, right?
- 21:16It's doing well, blah, blah, blah.
- 21:17God, that letters. God kind of reveals in a clear
- 21:20way that I can understand that He wants me to let it go, but I
- 21:24don't let it go. I let it go, but then I still
- 21:27hold it. I'm doing something else, but
- 21:29I'm still holding it, right? Right.
- 21:32Yeah. So you're like, you're like
- 21:33it's. Like like he told me, let go, I
- 21:35let go, I let go in a real sense and then gives me the other task
- 21:39but I still want to hold it. Right.
- 21:42And you can't do. That and you can't partially
- 21:44hold it because you think, you know, I don't know.
- 21:49It could. Yeah.
- 21:50At least how I would see is if I want to hold on to something
- 21:53real. Right, right.
- 21:55That I built, yes, that makes sense.
- 21:57That's meaningful to me. Yeah.
- 22:00I'm using my no imagine this happens.
- 22:02That's crazy, but that's an example.
- 22:04And if I'm in that situation and I'm trying to be with believers
- 22:09and teach them and work with them, you don't think this is
- 22:11going to affect them? Or 100?
- 22:12Going to affect this. There's a ripple effect.
- 22:14Yes. If we are all one mind, 1
- 22:16spirit, you're going to tell me there is not a connectivity
- 22:19going on? No, it's very true.
- 22:20You know what I'm? Saying true, yeah, we are one
- 22:22mind 1 spirit. That's a very good.
- 22:25Yeah, that's very true actually. Right.
- 22:26Because if we don't want money in our spirit, but there's one
- 22:28you don't think that's going to affect?
- 22:30Absolutely. Were David and everybody else
- 22:32not worshipping at the same time?
- 22:34God was livid. Yeah.
- 22:35God was very livid. Right.
- 22:37And so that was an example I'm using, right?
- 22:40God forbid I could pull through for the betterment of the body
- 22:44of Christ. Yeah, right.
- 22:48And so, yeah, that's that's that's an example that that we
- 22:53realize today. Absolutely.
- 22:54And you know, there's one more person that actually this is
- 22:59like, am I? This is one of my favorite
- 23:01stories. Jonah.
- 23:03Yeah, yeah, Jonah, the guy that got swallowed by fish, you know,
- 23:08God said to him, go tell Nineveh to go repent, otherwise I'll
- 23:13destroy them. And Jonah was like them, but
- 23:18they did a lot of bad things to my people.
- 23:19I'm not going to do that. No way.
- 23:21Let them get destroyed. Yeah.
- 23:22And then he hops on the ship on a boat, and then God brings a
- 23:26huge storm, dangerous storm that like everybody on the ship
- 23:30pretty much was panicking for their lives.
- 23:33And then Jonah was like, this is because of me.
- 23:36You guys can throw me overboard. And they did.
- 23:38They literally threw him overboard.
- 23:41And then after that, he got swallowed by a fish.
- 23:43But it's interesting because in that story we we see once again
- 23:46the ripple effect that others were literally at a very
- 23:51dangerous risk of dying because Jonah was like, I'm not going to
- 23:54go tell 'cause. He was making about.
- 23:56Himself, yes, he was too much in like how he felt and he wasn't
- 24:00and he just ignored or just no, he didn't ignore.
- 24:04No, he didn't ignore. You know what it was?
- 24:06You think he ignored? No 'cause This is why I say
- 24:08willing ignorance. I could be using the the phrase
- 24:13or I'm I'm compiling incorrectly.
- 24:15Could be, but it's almost like he knew the mercy of God if he
- 24:19told none of. Yes, yes, But he.
- 24:21Purposely like disobeyed because because he he wanted more to
- 24:29feel like God. He wants God to punish them.
- 24:31Yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly. Ignorant of the fact that he's
- 24:36not the only creation. Like they're not the centre of
- 24:39that planet. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:40If you know what I mean. And that's what I'm saying.
- 24:42Like willful ignorance. Yeah, willful.
- 24:44Yeah. And then at the end, you know,
- 24:47he sits down and then God makes a was it like a leaf grow over
- 24:52him? Yeah.
- 24:54Yeah. And then God destroys it after
- 24:55that. And he gets pissed off.
- 24:56He gets pissed off. Why did you do this?
- 24:57Like, what is it to you? I created it.
- 24:59Yeah. So he's, like, teaching him.
- 25:00Yeah. Because he sends him a on a
- 25:03mission so that Nineveh knows what God is about to do, right.
- 25:07He, he was more fixated on himself then rather than being
- 25:10fixated on what God can do for these people.
- 25:14Yeah. Which were positive effect.
- 25:16Yeah. Rather the people at the boat
- 25:18started witnessing their death in the sea, Right, Right.
- 25:22And so that was something what we wanted to talk about.
- 25:27Yeah. You know that sometimes as
- 25:33believers we have to be conscious.
- 25:35And how, how would I say it? Be considerate of your peers.
- 25:43Yeah. In, in, in your brothers and
- 25:45sisters in Christ. Absolutely.
- 25:46Be considerate to them. Yeah.
- 25:49For example, if you've been doing Godzilla, but it's no
- 25:51longer and you're continuing it, you're only going to damage it
- 25:54more. You're only you're not doing any
- 25:55good. You're you're you're you're
- 25:57you're affecting it to to the negative of of it.
- 26:00Exactly 100%. It could be multiple scenarios.
- 26:03Yeah. About this.
- 26:05Yeah. And so when you when you go to
- 26:06social media, there's nothing wrong if you hear someone on
- 26:08social media speak about God, right.
- 26:11But discern, see what effect that's going to do to you?
- 26:14Yeah, You have to discern. Absolutely.
- 26:17You know what I mean? Read Romans 12/2.
- 26:19You know like do not be confirmed to this world, but by
- 26:23the renewing of the mind, so that you may know the perfect
- 26:25will of God. Yeah, absolutely so.
- 26:29That was what what God like help us realize.
- 26:33You know that this is seen in Scripture.
- 26:36Yeah, and there's plenty of more.
- 26:39I mean, Adam and Eve, come on here like.
- 26:42Look what they did. Look what they look what
- 26:44literally murked all of us. Yeah, man.
- 26:47So there is a ripple effect 100% when you're being used by God.
- 26:51Just know that like, you know, Scripture says too much more is
- 26:54given to you, much, much required of you.
- 26:57It says in Hebrews, you know, like if you had, if you had a
- 27:00taste of, you know, heavenly gifts and all this stuff and you
- 27:03go back, it is like impossible to renew your mind.
- 27:06Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you go back to the things of
- 27:08the world. But there's there's a lot of
- 27:12like if God holds you to that standard, just know that there's
- 27:15weight. Of course there's weight.
- 27:17There's a. Lot of weight.
- 27:18And it's a good thing to have that weight because God sees you
- 27:22like, you know, he's my son. Exactly.
- 27:24You know what I mean? Like, I'm gonna hold him up to
- 27:26this. I mean, even Moses too.
- 27:28There's there's just so many, so many ripple effects.
- 27:32Yeah, absolutely. But those are some of the good
- 27:35examples that we wanted to bring up.
- 27:37And glory to God for making us realize this even more at a
- 27:40deeper level. Yeah.
- 27:41And I think, you know, I, I have to stop saying I think I believe
- 27:45confidently that whoever hears this be considerate.
- 27:49If that you were given a task divinely by God, you know it
- 27:54undoubtedly consider if you're in it partially or not.
- 28:01Yeah. Because others around can be
- 28:03affected by it and you can be setting them up for failure or
- 28:07if you're fully in, also consider the weight that you
- 28:11carry that how they're going to be affected positively.
- 28:13Their change, their lives might change.
- 28:15Yeah. Right.
- 28:16If we are the salt, that makes sense.
- 28:17Not why we are the salt. Yeah.
- 28:19Right, exactly. Other you become the salt that
- 28:22gives flavor or the salt that gets trampled.
- 28:25Yes, right, exactly. All right, guys.
- 28:27So I'm always, you know, follow us on all the platforms.
- 28:31We'd be grateful so that you can continue hearing more of these
- 28:35episodes. And we're going to close it off
- 28:37with prayer. All right, Lord, thank you so
- 28:42much for just allowing us to record here.
- 28:46May we continue. Always a Lord, in doing what is
- 28:50your will. Oh Lord, guide us and lead us,
- 28:52Father, into the absolute truth, for there is no one greater than
- 28:55you. Praise your holy mighty name.
- 28:58Amen.
