- 0:00Speaker 1: Sun don't stop for nobody, man. That sun is going
- 0:03Speaker 1: to be up in the morning regardless of how I feel.
- 0:07Speaker 1: The sun is going to shine in the morning and
- 0:09Speaker 1: at nighttime the moon is going to be there and
- 0:11Speaker 1: you're going to look up and these days are going
- 0:12Speaker 1: to keep going by.
- 0:14Speaker 2: A lot of life is uncomfortable.
- 0:15Speaker 3: A lot of this experience is not easy.
- 0:17Speaker 4: I don't care who you are. It's not easy waking
- 0:19Speaker 4: up first thing in the morning.
- 0:21Speaker 5: You don't always want to get up out of bed.
- 0:23Speaker 4: You're signing up to have some moments where it's really
- 0:27Speaker 4: uncomfortable and painful.
- 0:30Speaker 6: Acknowledging our suffering, being in touch with the pain, that's
- 0:34Speaker 6: enough to say, I can't do this. I don't want
- 0:36Speaker 6: to do this anymore. Like this is not the person
- 0:39Speaker 6: I want to become.
- 0:41Speaker 7: I know it's painful every time you got to make
- 0:45Speaker 7: a sacrifice, but I'm telling you the pain of success
- 0:48Speaker 7: is better than the pain of failure. And now is
- 0:51Speaker 7: the time for you to make a decision.
- 0:53Speaker 8: On what pain you want.
- 0:55Speaker 9: Whatever your goal is, you have to get there.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Even though people are gonna say you can't do it,
- 1:01Speaker 5: even though people are gonna throw different opportunities. I'm sure
- 1:04Speaker 5: your friends went out a million times to happy hour
- 1:07Speaker 5: when you just stayed late.
- 1:09Speaker 8: You got skill and you got will.
- 1:11Speaker 7: You got skill and you got will.
- 1:15Speaker 8: Two total different things.
- 1:16Speaker 7: You were born with certain things, but to get to
- 1:18Speaker 7: the next level, and not just get to the next level,
- 1:21Speaker 7: to stay at the next level, you gotta have will
- 1:24Speaker 7: when you get to.
- 1:24Speaker 8: That next level.
- 1:25Speaker 10: Working hard is the cost of entry of winning.
- 1:28Speaker 7: Now is the time for you to say, I'm ready.
- 1:31Speaker 7: I'm ready to take the next step.
- 1:34Speaker 11: Find out what it is you want, and go after
- 1:37Speaker 11: it as if your life depends on it.
- 1:40Speaker 8: Why? Because it does.
- 1:44Speaker 12: Stay positive, stay focused, and most importantly, stay strong.
- 1:49Speaker 7: 90% is work, but the last 10%, that's fight. Can
- 1:54Speaker 7: we make that happen? Can we make that happen? Can
- 1:57Speaker 7: we make that happen? I'm talking about beast mode.
- 2:06Speaker 13: I think the late, great Michael Jackson said it best.
- 2:11Speaker 13: I'm starting with the man in the mirror. I'm asking
- 2:14Speaker 13: him to make that change. See, a strange thing happens
- 2:18Speaker 13: when you realize that you're driving in the wrong lane.
- 2:22Speaker 13: That's when you have to self-assess. Hit reset or refresh
- 2:26Speaker 13: and make the choice to revise and rearrange. See, sometimes
- 2:31Speaker 13: it's hard to see clearly when you're looking through the
- 2:33Speaker 13: wrong lens and wearing the wrong frame. The pain, shame,
- 2:39Speaker 13: and stain of failure can be crippling at times. And
- 2:43Speaker 13: the rippling effects are hard to overcome when you feel
- 2:45Speaker 13: like everyone expects you to be at your best at
- 2:48Speaker 13: all times. That's entirely too much pressure, my friend. And
- 2:55Speaker 13: too much pressure can lead to you being a lesser
- 2:57Speaker 13: version of your usual phenomenal self. So I'm personally granting
- 3:04Speaker 13: you permission to relax. Eliminate all worries and doubts. Take
- 3:09Speaker 13: a moment to reboot. Replant seeds of success and prepare
- 3:14Speaker 13: them to sprout.
- 3:14Speaker 14: I get it.
- 3:17Speaker 13: Your classes are overwhelming this semester. Test after test after test.
- 3:23Speaker 13: And as of right now, your grades are a mess.
- 3:26Speaker 13: Which is the exact reason for all of your.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Struggle, strife, and stress.
- 3:31Speaker 13: But if you're an ears reaching my voice, you're about
- 3:34Speaker 13: to be blessed. This is the moment the old you
- 3:39Speaker 13: meets the new you. Because I know someone who went
- 3:43Speaker 13: through and overcame the exact same issue. But didn't need
- 3:48Speaker 13: a tissue because this person made the choice to human up.
- 3:52Speaker 13: And that's exactly what you are about to do. Break
- 3:55Speaker 13: it down and add just a little more effort. Add
- 3:59Speaker 13: just a little more planning. Add just a little more focus.
- 4:02Speaker 13: Add just a little more time management. Add just a
- 4:06Speaker 13: little more patience. Add just a little more studying. Add
- 4:10Speaker 13: just a little more listening. Add just a little more discipline.
- 4:16Speaker 13: She started with the woman in the mirror and asked herself,
- 4:21Speaker 13: why is she struggling with her classes? She was brutally
- 4:25Speaker 13: honest with herself. The answer was, She wasn't giving each
- 4:30Speaker 13: class enough study time. And at that very moment, everything changed.
- 4:35Speaker 13: Because she decided to make studying one of her top
- 4:38Speaker 13: priorities in life and set.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Her butt down.
- 4:42Speaker 13: She pulled out a calendar and wrote, W-R-O-T-E, down how
- 4:47Speaker 13: much time.
- 4:47Speaker 3: She would spend studying for each class each day.
- 4:52Speaker 13: See, if you're struggling in your classes and you don't
- 4:54Speaker 13: have a written down plan for the least amount of
- 4:57Speaker 13: time you will spend studying and preparing for each class,
- 5:01Speaker 13: you stop this video right now. Go get you a
- 5:04Speaker 13: pencil and a planner and map a study course for
- 5:08Speaker 13: your success out right now. You can come back to
- 5:15Speaker 13: this exact point when you're finished because once you write
- 5:19Speaker 13: it down, it becomes real.
- 5:24Speaker 3: And that's just the beginning.
- 5:25Speaker 13: Because see, my friend said writing it down was the
- 5:28Speaker 13: easy part.
- 5:31Speaker 7: She said the execution and follow through is what will
- 5:34Speaker 7: test your heart. And when the real work starts, she
- 5:39Speaker 7: said it wasn't easy.
- 5:41Speaker 13: And there were times that she got off schedule. But
- 5:44Speaker 13: because she had a written down course of action and
- 5:47Speaker 13: she consistently followed her schedule, it really worked. Because she
- 5:53Speaker 13: went from being on the brink of failing all of
- 5:55Speaker 13: her classes at the midpoint of the semester to passing
- 5:58Speaker 13: all of her classes with honors. So what you going
- 6:02Speaker 13: to do, bro? What you going to do, sis? Success
- 6:07Speaker 13: is yours for the taking. And if I'm not mistaken,
- 6:10Speaker 13: you said your goal was to pass every class. If
- 6:13Speaker 13: I'm not mistaken you said your goal was to never
- 6:16Speaker 13: again finish last. If I'm not mistaken you said your
- 6:19Speaker 13: goal was to never be broken like glass. If I'm
- 6:23Speaker 13: not mistaken you said your goal was to always be
- 6:27Speaker 13: driven and never crash.
- 6:30Speaker 3: This is your dream, not mine.
- 6:33Speaker 7: And you said your goal was to pass every class.
- 6:36Speaker 7: You said your goal.
- 6:37Speaker 13: Was to never again finish last.
- 6:40Speaker 3: You said your goal was to.
- 6:41Speaker 13: Never be broken like glass.
- 6:43Speaker 7: You said your goal was to always be driven and.
- 6:47Speaker 13: Never ever crash. So all excuses, you throw them in
- 6:50Speaker 13: the trash because it's your time to blow up and
- 6:53Speaker 13: blast off because never again will you be a cast
- 6:56Speaker 13: off because the old you is gone. You took the
- 6:59Speaker 13: mask off the sirens of panic I'll stop you turn
- 7:02Speaker 13: the flash off lock in with me there is absolutely
- 7:11Speaker 13: no reason why you can't succeed all you got to
- 7:15Speaker 13: do is water the seeds of success that are planted
- 7:18Speaker 13: in your heart sometimes you may have to change the
- 7:22Speaker 13: fertilizer to get a new spark meaning make the necessary
- 7:26Speaker 13: adjustments And give yourself a.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Brand new start. You got this.
- 7:34Speaker 7: This is a great day.
- 7:38Speaker 13: To win.
- 7:41Speaker 9: Your excuses will destroy you and take everything that you
- 7:44Speaker 9: ever wanted from you. If you let them. When your
- 7:51Speaker 9: excuses make you feel a little bit better about the
- 7:54Speaker 9: fact that you didn't execute on what you needed to
- 7:57Speaker 9: execute on, then they can make you feel better. But
- 8:01Speaker 9: they're not helping you. They're not helping you at all.
- 8:07Speaker 15: Why does discipline equal freedom?
- 8:10Speaker 9: Because the more discipline you have in your life, the
- 8:12Speaker 9: more freedom you will end up with. So if you
- 8:17Speaker 9: lack the discipline to exercise and eat healthy, you will
- 8:23Speaker 9: end up being a slave to disease. If you lack
- 8:28Speaker 9: the discipline to work hard, save your money, you will
- 8:35Speaker 9: end up a slave to finances. If you lack the
- 8:40Speaker 9: discipline to manage your time correctly, you will end up
- 8:45Speaker 9: with no free time. If you have self-discipline, if you
- 8:50Speaker 9: have the discipline to save your money and work hard
- 8:53Speaker 9: and invest your money properly, if you have the discipline
- 8:58Speaker 9: to manage your time correctly and not waste a bunch
- 9:00Speaker 9: of time, if you have the discipline to exercise and
- 9:04Speaker 9: eat healthy, you will end up with freedom. If you
- 9:08Speaker 9: want freedom in your life, you have to have discipline.
- 9:11Speaker 9: Because if you're a kid right now and you're eating
- 9:13Speaker 9: Doritos off your belly, I know they taste good and
- 9:16Speaker 9: there's some immediate gratification and I get that. But I'm
- 9:19Speaker 9: going to tell you, it starts right now. Throw that
- 9:22Speaker 9: bag of Doritos away.
- 9:23Speaker 8: Get rid of it.
- 9:25Speaker 9: Go do some pushups. Go spend $ 12 at the hardware
- 9:29Speaker 9: store and hang up a pull-up bar in your room
- 9:31Speaker 9: and start doing pull-ups. And if you can't do one pull-up,
- 9:33Speaker 9: hang on that bar. And you're going to start to
- 9:36Speaker 9: get a little bit stronger. You're going to start to.
- 9:38Speaker 16: Get a little bit healthier.
- 9:39Speaker 9: You're going to start to get more focused. You're going
- 9:42Speaker 9: to start to become more resilient. And you're going to
- 9:45Speaker 9: start to understand the world better. And you're going to
- 9:49Speaker 9: start to progress in every aspect of your life. And
- 9:56Speaker 9: you'll see that if you have that kind of discipline
- 9:58Speaker 9: right now, you're going to end up with freedom. Because
- 10:02Speaker 9: you're sad, now you're going to make a bunch of
- 10:04Speaker 9: bad decisions because you're sad. No, no, it doesn't work
- 10:06Speaker 9: like that. It doesn't work like that. You're sad, okay.
- 10:12Speaker 9: You get emotional sometimes, okay. Got it. Now, get control
- 10:16Speaker 9: of your emotions and carry on with your life. And
- 10:19Speaker 9: sometimes you're going to get hit with those waves, and
- 10:21Speaker 9: that's okay. No, at a certain point, you say, okay,
- 10:27Speaker 9: my emotions are now leading me down the wrong path.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I'm in control.
- 10:33Speaker 9: I'm not going to allow my emotions to make my decisions.
- 10:36Speaker 9: They're in the calculus. I'm not saying take your emotions
- 10:40Speaker 9: out of the calculus, but they have to be one
- 10:42Speaker 9: component of your calculus, not the whole equation. You can't
- 10:47Speaker 9: pull them out of there or they'll bite you. But
- 10:50Speaker 9: you can't make them the overwhelming denominator of everything that
- 10:54Speaker 9: you do or it's going to be problematic. You have
- 11:01Speaker 9: to start moving forward. You have to start taking steps
- 11:05Speaker 9: in order to improve your vision, improve your perspective, change
- 11:08Speaker 9: your perspective, make some kind of progress. And worst case scenario,
- 11:12Speaker 9: you figure out that you walked the wrong direction. Okay,
- 11:15Speaker 9: now you can go walk in the other direction. And
- 11:16Speaker 9: that's going to be fine. But standing there lost and
- 11:20Speaker 9: not doing anything is just waiting to die, waiting to
- 11:23Speaker 9: starve to death. Don't let that happen. I had to
- 11:28Speaker 9: condition people to take action, even in the SEAL teams.
- 11:31Speaker 9: Even a young SEAL leader who you would think would
- 11:35Speaker 9: be by nature aggressive and an action taker, you put
- 11:39Speaker 9: them in a pressure situation where there's not a ton
- 11:41Speaker 9: of information and they need to make a decision, They
- 11:43Speaker 9: don't want to act either. So one of the things
- 11:46Speaker 9: that I would teach was that their default mode was
- 11:49Speaker 9: to be aggressive. Their default mode was to take action.
- 11:52Speaker 9: I would teach that. Same thing we just discussed. I
- 11:54Speaker 9: wouldn't say, hey, look, that means you have to take action,
- 11:57Speaker 9: but your default setting should be, I'm going to do something.
- 11:59Speaker 9: Because I'd have a young SEAL officer and there'd be
- 12:01Speaker 9: some training mission and there'd be a problem in a
- 12:04Speaker 9: building and there'd be a bunch of paintball flying around
- 12:07Speaker 9: in there and he wouldn't want to go solve that problem.
- 12:11Speaker 9: He'd back away from that problem. And I would have
- 12:13Speaker 9: to go like push him in the back and say,
- 12:16Speaker 9: you see that problem over there? You got to go
- 12:17Speaker 9: solve that problem. It's not going to go away. You
- 12:20Speaker 9: got to be aggressive. That's got to be your default
- 12:21Speaker 9: mode is to take action and make things happen. Because
- 12:26Speaker 9: most human instinct is to wait. Most human instinct is
- 12:30Speaker 9: to hesitate. Most human instinct is to let things go
- 12:35Speaker 9: longer and stick with the status quo. And that seems
- 12:39Speaker 9: to be.
- 12:41Speaker 3: On the front line.
- 12:43Speaker 9: The lowest risk in the situation is to not do anything.
- 12:47Speaker 9: It usually appears to be the lowest risk. So to
- 12:52Speaker 9: train people to, oh, I need to take risk, some
- 12:56Speaker 9: level of risk, take action, because in the long run,
- 13:01Speaker 9: I say seven out of 10. Seven out of 10 times,
- 13:04Speaker 9: action is better than inaction.
- 13:08Speaker 15: If someone was on the extreme end of that, disease
- 13:12Speaker 15: of excuse and blame and all of those things, is
- 13:15Speaker 15: there anything that you could do or you would advise
- 13:17Speaker 15: them to do to kind of walk back from there,
- 13:20Speaker 15: to get over the other side? Because I think we
- 13:21Speaker 15: can all think of people in our lives and maybe
- 13:23Speaker 15: even ourselves at times who have gotten into a chronic
- 13:26Speaker 15: pattern of using excuses and blame as a form of self-defense.
- 13:32Speaker 9: Well, unfortunately, what happens a lot, and you may or
- 13:36Speaker 9: may not have seen this, but I would assume you've
- 13:37Speaker 9: seen this at some point in your life, people, and
- 13:41Speaker 9: this is a term, there's a term, it's rock bottom, right?
- 13:44Speaker 9: This is a term that we hear for someone that's addicted,
- 13:47Speaker 9: someone that's an alcoholic, someone that's physically let themselves go,
- 13:52Speaker 9: someone that's put themselves into a situation with their finances
- 13:56Speaker 9: or their work or whatever, where they reach rock bottom.
- 13:59Speaker 9: But when the excuses all go away and people can
- 14:03Speaker 9: actually confront the fact that this is all because of
- 14:06Speaker 9: me and this is, it hurts. but is also unbelievably
- 14:13Speaker 9: empowering because if these problems are because of me, then
- 14:18Speaker 9: I'm capable of fixing these problems. So even though extreme
- 14:25Speaker 9: ownership hurts and is painful, it's also liberating because now
- 14:30Speaker 9: you have control over your fate and over your destiny,
- 14:33Speaker 9: and that is a glorious thing.
- 14:38Speaker 15: Our excuse is the opposite. Excuses and blame, is that
- 14:42Speaker 15: the opposite of extreme ownership? That is the opposite of
- 14:44Speaker 15: extreme ownership. Extreme ownership is this went wrong, this.
- 14:50Speaker 9: Failed, didn't accomplish this, and it's not the fault of
- 14:54Speaker 9: my boss, it's not the fault of my girlfriend, it's
- 14:56Speaker 9: not the fault of my parents, it's not the fault
- 14:58Speaker 9: of the weather, it's my fault. And I'm going to
- 15:01Speaker 9: take ownership of it and I'm going to fix it.
- 15:03Speaker 9: That's what extreme ownership is. And this is a very
- 15:07Speaker 9: difficult thing to do because it hurts. Because when you
- 15:11Speaker 9: look around at your life, and you look around at
- 15:14Speaker 9: your job, and your financial situation, and your relationship, and
- 15:19Speaker 9: your physical health, and when you look at all those things,
- 15:22Speaker 9: and all the problems that you may have with those things,
- 15:25Speaker 9: and you say, the reason I have all those problems
- 15:29Speaker 9: is because of me, that can hurt. That can sting.
- 15:34Speaker 9: And a lot of times, our ego rejects that and
- 15:39Speaker 9: makes excuses and lies. And then we don't have to
- 15:42Speaker 9: change anything. And then nothing changes. What you learn to
- 15:48Speaker 9: do is, okay, I'm going to go forward. There's no,
- 15:52Speaker 9: I can't get out of this. I'm going to go forward.
- 15:54Speaker 9: I'm not going to quit. So I'm going to go forward,
- 15:55Speaker 9: bring it on. If I'm in the woods, which is
- 15:59Speaker 9: where you are right now, you're in the woods and
- 16:02Speaker 9: you don't know where to go because the wife's not
- 16:04Speaker 9: there anymore. The job's not there anymore. You don't know
- 16:08Speaker 9: where to go right now. So if you're in the
- 16:10Speaker 9: woods and you don't know where to go, start walking.
- 16:16Speaker 9: What you learn to do is, okay, I'm going to
- 16:19Speaker 9: go forward. There's no, I can't get out of this.
- 16:22Speaker 9: I'm going to go forward. I'm not going to quit.
- 16:23Speaker 9: So I'm going to go forward, bring it on. And
- 16:25Speaker 9: I think if there's anything that you learn, it's to
- 16:30Speaker 9: keep pushing through things that suck.
- 16:34Speaker 15: Can you teach that? Let's go.
- 16:37Speaker 9: We're going to come back in the water.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 16:39Speaker 9: I think that's one of the few things that you
- 16:43Speaker 9: learn in basic SEAL training is to shrug your shoulders
- 16:47Speaker 9: and go forward. This is just something that's gonna suck
- 16:52Speaker 9: and you're gonna have to push through it.
- 16:56Speaker 6: The reason people change is because of pain. The reason
- 17:00Speaker 6: we grow is because we get uncomfortable and we embrace
- 17:03Speaker 6: being uncomfortable. But being honest with the pain that we
- 17:08Speaker 6: feel is usually the prime mover for people to do
- 17:12Speaker 6: the work that is necessary to push to the edge.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Embrace the pain that you're going to feel when you're
- 17:19Speaker 1: trying to do something great.
- 17:21Speaker 17: You have to understand, you have to know that with
- 17:25Speaker 17: greatness comes pain.
- 17:28Speaker 6: Stop listening to the opinions of others around us that
- 17:31Speaker 6: are saying, oh, you're never going to make it.
- 17:32Speaker 18: It's impossible.
- 17:34Speaker 8: You can't do it.
- 17:35Speaker 16: You will never make it.
- 17:37Speaker 6: Acknowledging our suffering, being in touch with the pain, that's
- 17:41Speaker 6: enough to say, I can't do this. I don't want
- 17:43Speaker 6: to do this anymore. Like, this is not the person
- 17:47Speaker 6: I want to become.
- 17:49Speaker 10: Like, I used to sit there and look at my
- 17:51Speaker 10: class and my teachers and I'm like, I'm going to
- 17:53Speaker 10: show you. I'm going to show all of you. You
- 17:55Speaker 10: think I suck? I'm going to be the biggest, best
- 17:59Speaker 10: person on earth.
- 18:02Speaker 3: You need to immerse yourself in school. You need to
- 18:05Speaker 3: go in deep. All you're doing every single day is studying.
- 18:10Speaker 5: You're going to get distracted from your goals. And all
- 18:13Speaker 5: these things, arrows are going to come at you all
- 18:15Speaker 5: the time. Whatever your goal is, you have to get there.
- 18:20Speaker 5: Even though people are going to say you can't do it.
- 18:22Speaker 5: Even though people are going to throw different opportunities. You know,
- 18:25Speaker 5: I'm sure your friends went out a million times to
- 18:27Speaker 5: happy hour when you just stayed late.
- 18:30Speaker 19: Find out what it is you want and go after
- 18:33Speaker 19: it as if your life depends on it.
- 18:36Speaker 9: Why?
- 18:37Speaker 8: Because it does. Thoughts become things. Whatever you put out into.
- 18:42Speaker 16: The universe, you are going to get back.
- 18:46Speaker 13: You have an opportunity to still be achieving. So get
- 18:51Speaker 13: up and get on it. Because the weak will struggle.
- 18:55Speaker 13: Success is reserved for those that.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Are the strongest. But you still got time to pass
- 19:02Speaker 3: that class. You still got time to finish strong, all right?
- 19:12Speaker 8: Repeat after me, education. Education.
- 19:15Speaker 9: Equals opportunity.
- 19:16Speaker 20: Equals opportunity.
- 19:17Speaker 8: One more time, education.
- 19:18Speaker 18: Education.
- 19:19Speaker 9: Equals opportunity.
- 19:20Speaker 21: Equals opportunity.
- 19:22Speaker 22: School is like a privilege. Learning is a privilege. Getting
- 19:25Speaker 22: your education is a privilege. Not a lot of people
- 19:29Speaker 22: have that, surprisingly. I know the people in your city
- 19:34Speaker 22: and in your school all have that, and it may
- 19:36Speaker 22: seem normal to you at times, but it's not. People
- 19:39Speaker 22: wish to have education.
- 19:41Speaker 12: People wish they.
- 19:41Speaker 22: Can go to school and learn and grow as an individual.
- 19:49Speaker 22: You know, it's not about just one math test that
- 19:53Speaker 22: you have tomorrow. It's not about one grade. It's that
- 19:56Speaker 22: if you do good on this one test, you're gonna
- 20:00Speaker 22: do good on another test, and then another test, and
- 20:03Speaker 22: you're gonna get an A, and that's gonna raise your GPA,
- 20:06Speaker 22: and that's gonna, your GPA is what's gonna decide what
- 20:10Speaker 22: college you're gonna get into, and then what your job
- 20:13Speaker 22: will be. Like, it all adds up. You know, always,
- 20:17Speaker 22: always try your best. Don't look at it as just
- 20:25Speaker 22: a test. Don't look at it as just a class,
- 20:28Speaker 22: a grade. Because anything that you want in life, you're
- 20:31Speaker 22: going to have to work for. Nothing is going to
- 20:33Speaker 22: be given to you.
- 20:36Speaker 12: See, most people only ever focus on problems. It's the
- 20:40Speaker 12: world we live in today. We live in a world
- 20:42Speaker 12: of media-fueled problems.
- 20:46Speaker 23: You can't turn on the news without seeing problems, disasters,
- 20:50Speaker 23: all the.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Bad in this world.
- 20:51Speaker 12: Now, most people focus on their problems and make them
- 20:56Speaker 12: bigger than what they actually are.
- 20:59Speaker 8: This is where people are going wrong.
- 21:03Speaker 23: If something bad happens and you make that problem even
- 21:06Speaker 23: bigger and tell yourselves things like, this is always happening
- 21:10Speaker 23: to me. This is never going to get better. This
- 21:13Speaker 23: is a big problem. Train your mind.
- 21:19Speaker 12: Train your mind not to focus on the problem and
- 21:21Speaker 12: make it bigger, but focus on the solution to solve it.
- 21:25Speaker 12: Stay positive. Stay focused and most importantly, stay strong.
- 21:31Speaker 22: You know, I used to actually do my homework on
- 21:33Speaker 22: a Friday, so I would enjoy the weekend. Mostly people
- 21:36Speaker 22: do it on Sundays when they have to do it,
- 21:39Speaker 22: but I just, I like to just get over with
- 21:41Speaker 22: it so much better knowing you're done and you have
- 21:43Speaker 22: free time and you can do whatever you want, but
- 21:46Speaker 22: have that on your mind while having the free time.
- 21:48Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 21:49Speaker 22: It's just so much better to get it done. You'll
- 21:51Speaker 22: feel so good. Start off good. Do your homework. Do
- 21:55Speaker 22: the best you can do on every single test.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I know I can.
- 21:59Speaker 8: I know I can. Be what I want to be.
- 22:02Speaker 8: Be what I want to be.
- 22:04Speaker 7: If I work hard at it.
- 22:06Speaker 8: If I work hard at it. I'll be where I
- 22:08Speaker 8: want to be. I'll be where I want to be.
- 22:12Speaker 8: I know I can. I know I can. Be what
- 22:16Speaker 8: I want to be.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Be what I want to be.
- 22:18Speaker 8: If I work hard at it. I'll be where I
- 22:22Speaker 8: want to be. I'll be where I want to.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Be.
- 22:29Speaker 22: Hard work pays off. You know, the classes I used
- 22:31Speaker 22: to slack on and I didn't do that great in,
- 22:34Speaker 22: it showed. And the classes I worked really hard on
- 22:38Speaker 22: and I tried my best, it showed. You know, it
- 22:41Speaker 22: made me realize that hard work really, really does pay
- 22:45Speaker 22: off in the end. Your results might not show and
- 22:48Speaker 22: you might feel like you're failing. You might feel like
- 22:51Speaker 22: you're not getting anywhere and that you won't do good.
- 22:54Speaker 22: But just as long as you try your best, just
- 22:57Speaker 22: as long as you give it 100%, start off strong
- 23:03Speaker 22: and finish even stronger.
- 23:06Speaker 10: You got this, my friend.
- 23:09Speaker 20: If I could go back and give my younger self
- 23:12Speaker 20: just one piece of advice what would it be? Never
- 23:16Speaker 20: give up. If I could give anyone just one piece
- 23:20Speaker 20: of advice what would it be?
- 23:22Speaker 9: Never give up.
- 23:23Speaker 20: It's so sad to see so many people give up
- 23:26Speaker 20: on the life they want to live just because of
- 23:29Speaker 20: the need to fit in.
- 23:31Speaker 9: Fit in with parents, fit in with friends, fit in
- 23:34Speaker 9: with society.
- 23:35Speaker 20: Too afraid to dream of how great life can be
- 23:39Speaker 20: because life and others have offered plenty of examples of
- 23:42Speaker 20: what can go wrong. Plenty of examples of how hard
- 23:46Speaker 20: life is. How much of a struggle life is. Well,
- 23:50Speaker 20: I don't buy that. I believe everyone is capable of
- 23:54Speaker 20: creating the life they want. I refuse to believe we
- 23:59Speaker 20: are stuck. I refuse to believe in limitation.
- 24:06Speaker 8: We are capable of anything.
- 24:09Speaker 10: If.
- 24:10Speaker 24: Only if we believe that. Because with belief comes action.
- 24:16Speaker 24: With belief comes possibilities. With belief, we are open to opportunities.
- 24:23Speaker 24: When we refuse to give up on our dream.
- 24:26Speaker 20: When we seek to find examples of those who have
- 24:29Speaker 20: achieved the life they want. When we want to learn
- 24:32Speaker 20: how we can make steps forward every day. When we
- 24:36Speaker 20: are open to learn more. When we are willing to
- 24:40Speaker 20: work for it. When we trust.
- 24:42Speaker 9: Our intuition and follow our hearts.
- 24:46Speaker 20: When we have the courage to trust the universe and
- 24:50Speaker 20: reach for the sky, well, then anything is possible.
- 24:56Speaker 8: If you believe it, you can achieve it.
- 24:59Speaker 7: If you can dream it, there's no doubt you can
- 25:03Speaker 7: be it.
- 25:04Speaker 8: Believe in yourself.
- 25:06Speaker 24: Shakespeare said, our doubts are traitors and make us lose
- 25:12Speaker 24: the good we oft might win.
- 25:14Speaker 8: By fearing to attempt.
- 25:18Speaker 24: See, most people fear failure so much they don't even try. Therefore,
- 25:24Speaker 24: they fail by default. Achieving anything of significance in life
- 25:29Speaker 24: will never be easy. But the only way you can
- 25:33Speaker 24: guarantee not achieving anything is if you never try.
- 25:37Speaker 9: In the first place.
- 25:41Speaker 20: You do not know what is going to happen in
- 25:43Speaker 20: the future. Anything can happen if you believe in yourself
- 25:48Speaker 20: and are willing to learn how to make it happen.
- 25:51Speaker 20: It might not happen right away. It might take you
- 25:54Speaker 20: longer than expected. But if you are committed and maintain
- 25:58Speaker 20: belief that in the end you will achieve your desired outcome,
- 26:02Speaker 20: you will achieve your desired outcome.
- 26:06Speaker 8: Never give up. Never, ever give up.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Sun don't stop for nobody, man. That sun is going
- 26:20Speaker 1: to be up in the morning regardless of how I feel.
- 26:24Speaker 1: The sun is going to shine in the morning and
- 26:27Speaker 1: at nighttime the moon is going to be there. And
- 26:28Speaker 1: you're going to look up and these days are going
- 26:29Speaker 1: to keep going by. So do you let the days
- 26:32Speaker 1: go by and look up and you don't waste a
- 26:34Speaker 1: year doing what?
- 26:36Speaker 7: I want you to live the life you were meant
- 26:37Speaker 7: to live. Not the life that was given to you.
- 26:40Speaker 7: Because I made up in my mind that's the life
- 26:43Speaker 7: y'all gave me.
- 26:44Speaker 3: I'm not taking that no more.
- 26:47Speaker 2: A lot of life is uncomfortable.
- 26:48Speaker 3: A lot of this experience is not easy.
- 26:50Speaker 4: I don't care who you are.
- 26:52Speaker 3: It's not easy waking up first thing in the morning.
- 26:54Speaker 18: You don't always want to get up out of bed.
- 26:56Speaker 4: You're signing up to have some moments where it's really
- 27:00Speaker 4: uncomfortable and painful. What are we going to forgive right now?
- 27:04Speaker 4: And what are we going to say?
- 27:05Speaker 18: The buck stops here.
- 27:06Speaker 8: No more.
- 27:07Speaker 16: I'm not putting up with it.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Because I'm tired of playing crap with yourself. I'm going
- 27:11Speaker 4: to cut the man.
- 27:14Speaker 25: Tomorrow morning, when the alarm goes off, you're going to
- 27:16Speaker 25: launch yourself out of bed like a rocket ship. You're
- 27:21Speaker 25: going to move so fast, you're not going to be
- 27:23Speaker 25: in that bed when that anxiety hits.
- 27:26Speaker 14: If I'm going to seek success, I've got to define
- 27:28Speaker 14: what sacrifices I require in order to step into it.
- 27:33Speaker 3: And the gateway for all of us to blow up.
- 27:36Speaker 3: You can't start where I am now. You've got to
- 27:38Speaker 3: start where I started.
- 27:40Speaker 7: I know it's painful every time you got to make
- 27:43Speaker 7: a sacrifice, but I'm telling you the pain of success
- 27:47Speaker 7: is better than the pain of failure. And now is
- 27:49Speaker 7: the time for you to make a decision on what
- 27:52Speaker 7: pain you want.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'm not content because I know where I came from
- 27:59Speaker 1: and I don't ever want to go back. That means
- 28:02Speaker 1: I don't want to go back to living like I
- 28:05Speaker 1: once was.
- 28:08Speaker 26: The separation of talent and skill is one of the
- 28:11Speaker 26: greatest misunderstood concepts.
- 28:14Speaker 8: For people who are trying to excel, who have dreams
- 28:16Speaker 8: and want to do things. Talent you have naturally.
- 28:19Speaker 7: Skill is only developed by hours and hours and hours
- 28:23Speaker 7: of beating on your craft.
- 28:25Speaker 11: Decide that you're going to push yourself.
- 28:28Speaker 8: There's greatness in you.
- 28:30Speaker 11: And you've got to learn how to tune out the
- 28:32Speaker 11: critics outside and the critic inside. And since I'm going
- 28:36Speaker 11: to do this, I'm going to harness my will and
- 28:39Speaker 11: I'm not going to let anything stop me.
- 28:42Speaker 3: That's what I'm asking you to do.
- 28:43Speaker 8: What fuels you?
- 28:44Speaker 3: The reason why you're so lazy is not because you
- 28:46Speaker 3: don't have the ability. You're so lazy because your dream's
- 28:49Speaker 3: so small. Failure is painful. Failure is painful.
- 28:52Speaker 7: I know it's painful to wake up early in the
- 28:54Speaker 7: morning when you really want to sleep. I know it's
- 28:56Speaker 7: painful when you got to study when everybody else is
- 28:59Speaker 7: outside playing.
- 29:00Speaker 9: In what world do we not work every day?
- 29:03Speaker 10: Working hard is the cost of entry of winning.
- 29:05Speaker 3: 90% is worth it. But the last 10%, that's fight.
- 29:10Speaker 7: Can we make that happen? Can we make that happen?
- 29:13Speaker 7: Can we make that happen? I'm talking about beast mode.
- 29:19Speaker 26: Dude, you've been a repeat offender.
- 29:21Speaker 8: It hadn't been paying you back.
- 29:22Speaker 4: You've been regretting that choice every time you make it.
- 29:25Speaker 4: You keep freaking making it.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Cut, man.
- 29:27Speaker 8: Evolve.
- 29:28Speaker 13: Turn the page.
- 29:30Speaker 18: No more.
- 29:32Speaker 25: I profoundly believe that you are one decision away from
- 29:36Speaker 25: a different life. We make the mistake of believing that
- 29:45Speaker 25: because our problems are big or because our dreams are
- 29:49Speaker 25: so big, that somehow the solution to achieving those dreams
- 29:54Speaker 25: or to solving those problems must be enormous too. When
- 29:58Speaker 25: in truth, it's the opposite.
- 30:01Speaker 21: Here's what people do, they're unhappy, you're not where you're at,
- 30:04Speaker 21: so you put your time into dumb shit like 2K
- 30:07Speaker 21: and Netflix and Fortnite because you're escaping your real life.
- 30:11Speaker 21: Your time's not worth anything when you're unhappy. So put
- 30:14Speaker 21: it into making yourself happy, which is the work to
- 30:16Speaker 21: get you to where you want.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Most of us have been conditioned not to take a risk.
- 30:21Speaker 2: People ask me all the time, what does it take
- 30:22Speaker 2: to be happy? And I always tell them it's really simple.
- 30:25Speaker 8: One word, progress.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Progress equals happiness. If you keep growing, you're going to
- 30:31Speaker 2: feel alive. And if you keep growing, you're going to
- 30:34Speaker 2: have more to give. And when you're growing and giving
- 30:37Speaker 2: is when life is magnificent. It doesn't matter how many statues,
- 30:40Speaker 2: Oscars they give you or Emmys or how much money
- 30:43Speaker 2: you have in the bank. Everybody's focusing on the outside world.
- 30:46Speaker 2: And hell, there's a lot of things in the outside
- 30:48Speaker 2: world you'll never be able to control. You can influence,
- 30:51Speaker 2: but you can't control it. This, your mind, your emotions,
- 30:54Speaker 2: your body, you have 100% control over what you do
- 30:58Speaker 2: with these things and that's where the.
- 31:00Speaker 8: Game is won. You win the inner game, then you win.
- 31:02Speaker 2: The outer game. But a lot of people spent their
- 31:05Speaker 2: life trying to win the outer game, they won and
- 31:07Speaker 2: they're miserable.
- 31:09Speaker 7: I know you've been waiting for everything to line up perfectly.
- 31:12Speaker 7: And you've been waiting for the right teachers. You've been
- 31:15Speaker 7: waiting for the right school. You've been waiting for the
- 31:18Speaker 7: right time.
- 31:19Speaker 3: No, no, no, no.
- 31:20Speaker 7: No, no, you're not waiting for the perfect time. You're
- 31:22Speaker 7: making it the perfect time. Now is the time for
- 31:26Speaker 7: you to say, I'm ready. I'm ready to take the
- 31:30Speaker 7: next step. What you going to do now? Now that
- 31:33Speaker 7: you've heard all the information, I want you to take
- 31:35Speaker 7: that now and I want you to make that some fuel. Yeah.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Now it's time for you to get fueled up.
- 31:43Speaker 7: I want you to get sick and tired of being
- 31:45Speaker 7: sick and tired. I want you to get sick and
- 31:48Speaker 7: tired of being average. I want you to get so mad.
- 31:51Speaker 7: I need you to get fueled up. I need you
- 31:55Speaker 7: to get fired up.
- 31:56Speaker 17: Like I want you to understand, like I don't know
- 32:02Speaker 17: your story.
- 32:03Speaker 8: I don't know the.
- 32:05Speaker 17: Depths of what some of you have had to deal with.
- 32:08Speaker 9: But I'm here to tell you, man, you can do
- 32:10Speaker 9: more things.
- 32:12Speaker 10: And as long as there's breath in your lungs, there's
- 32:15Speaker 10: hope in your heart too.
- 32:17Speaker 17: And as long as you continue to understand that no
- 32:21Speaker 17: feeling is final.
- 32:23Speaker 8: Today, life may suck.
- 32:24Speaker 2: For some of you.
- 32:26Speaker 17: Today, life may be amazing for some of you. But
- 32:28Speaker 17: what I do know are there are mountains and there
- 32:31Speaker 17: are valleys. And to realize I can only control what
- 32:35Speaker 17: I can control. I can control how I treat people.
- 32:38Speaker 17: I can control the things that I do with my
- 32:40Speaker 17: energy and my time.
- 32:43Speaker 8: And I'm going to continue to refuse to believe.
- 32:46Speaker 3: That I can't.
- 32:48Speaker 9: What's your book look like? What does your fucking book
- 32:51Speaker 9: look like?
- 32:52Speaker 1: Like your life is a book. You got a bunch
- 32:55Speaker 1: of chapters in your book, but when they close that book,
- 32:58Speaker 1: how good was your book? What was the ending to
- 33:00Speaker 1: your book? If the ending to my book can be
- 33:04Speaker 1: so amazing because of all that was done, not the money.
- 33:11Speaker 1: All that was accomplished, the first to do, the man
- 33:14Speaker 1: that did this, he caused the merger between this. Because
- 33:18Speaker 1: of his commitment and growth to this, the communities were
- 33:20Speaker 1: then given this. All of the things that can be
- 33:22Speaker 1: associated with you and your existence become.
- 33:26Speaker 9: A part of the chapters in your book. So my
- 33:29Speaker 9: drive is about my book.
- 33:32Speaker 7: I never said when you want to succeed as bad
- 33:35Speaker 7: as you want to eat, because you can go 21 days,
- 33:37Speaker 7: maybe 30, but without eating.
- 33:41Speaker 3: I never said when you want to succeed as.
- 33:44Speaker 7: Bad as you want water, because you can go about
- 33:47Speaker 7: three days or so without it. I said when you
- 33:51Speaker 7: want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe,
- 33:57Speaker 7: then you'll be successful. And so one of the things
- 34:00Speaker 7: I want to do for you as an educator today,
- 34:03Speaker 7: you don't necessarily need better skills per se.
- 34:07Speaker 3: That's not what you need. But what some of you need.
- 34:09Speaker 8: Is to go from 70% to 120%.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Some of you need to go from 80% to 120%.
- 34:12Speaker 3: The reason why I'm giving 120 is because your dad
- 34:14Speaker 3: is not in your life.
- 34:22Speaker 7: The reason why I'm giving 120 is because your father's
- 34:25Speaker 7: in prison. The reason why I'm giving 120 is because
- 34:27Speaker 7: your mom is working two jobs. The reason why I'm
- 34:30Speaker 7: giving 120 is because your grandma's raising you. The reason
- 34:32Speaker 7: why I'm giving 120 is because you live in a
- 34:34Speaker 7: community where education is not valued. So I don't care
- 34:38Speaker 7: what you do academically, when you leave here, you can't
- 34:41Speaker 7: go and get credit for getting A's. That in your neighborhood,
- 34:45Speaker 7: in your community, nobody affirms you for reading at a
- 34:49Speaker 7: certain level. Nobody affirms you for doing well on your
- 34:52Speaker 7: ACT or your SAT. Where you come from, education is
- 34:56Speaker 7: not affirmed. So even if you are a scholar, you have.
- 35:01Speaker 3: To keep it to yourself. You have to suppress it.
- 35:04Speaker 7: So the reason why I give 120 is because your
- 35:07Speaker 7: daddy's not there to give 80.
- 35:09Speaker 3: And your mama's too tired to give 100.
- 35:11Speaker 7: And your grandma is washed out, so she's giving 50.
- 35:16Speaker 7: And y'all do that little stuff about you gonna eat,
- 35:18Speaker 7: but y'all ain't got no doggone motor.
- 35:19Speaker 8: You get tired quick. You practice for.
- 35:22Speaker 7: One or two days, you go out. You do a
- 35:25Speaker 7: couple hours, you tired. But yet you compete against people
- 35:28Speaker 7: right now, that's their lifestyle. And you think they about
- 35:31Speaker 7: to let you take their lifestyle? I don't want to
- 35:35Speaker 7: do it as much as I want to eat. I
- 35:36Speaker 7: don't want to do it as much as I need
- 35:38Speaker 7: to drink. I want to be the best in the
- 35:40Speaker 7: world as bad as I want to breathe. I want
- 35:43Speaker 7: to be the Michael Jordan of education. I want to
- 35:46Speaker 7: be the LeBron James of education. And I ask you
- 35:49Speaker 7: the question, I ask you the question today, are you
- 35:52Speaker 7: giving 120? I never said when you want to succeed
- 35:58Speaker 7: as bad as you want to eat. I never said
- 36:02Speaker 7: when you want to succeed as bad as you want water.
- 36:07Speaker 7: I said when you want to succeed as bad as
- 36:11Speaker 7: you want to breathe, then you'll be successful. Like I
- 36:24Speaker 7: told my professor, what happens if I fail? He said,
- 36:27Speaker 7: what happens if you pass? I said, but what happened
- 36:30Speaker 7: if I don't get it? What happened if I put
- 36:32Speaker 7: in all these years and it don't work out? He said,
- 36:34Speaker 7: but what happens if you put in all these years
- 36:36Speaker 7: and you get it? You got skill and you got will.
- 36:49Speaker 7: You got skill and you got will. Two total different things.
- 36:54Speaker 7: You were born with certain things, but to get to
- 36:56Speaker 7: the next level and not just get to the next level,
- 36:58Speaker 7: to stay at the next level, you got to have will.
- 37:01Speaker 8: When you get to that next level.
- 37:03Speaker 7: So when you play, you have to compete. When you
- 37:09Speaker 7: have an opportunity, why would you give 80% when you
- 37:12Speaker 7: have opportunity? Somebody answer that for me.
- 37:14Speaker 8: Y'all talk. Why would you give 80%, 70%?
- 37:15Speaker 7: Why wouldn't you always give 120%?
- 37:21Speaker 8: For real, you might get it, but right now what? Oh,
- 37:24Speaker 8: I can't hear y'all.
- 37:26Speaker 7: You may get it, but right now what?
- 37:29Speaker 8: You don't have it.
- 37:35Speaker 3: You have nothing to fear.
- 37:36Speaker 7: Guys, you already overcame all kind of stuff. Because a
- 37:42Speaker 7: lot of you don't see that what's going to take
- 37:44Speaker 7: you to that next level that's going to separate you
- 37:46Speaker 7: from everybody else because you got to have something that
- 37:47Speaker 7: separates you. What's going to separate you from everybody else?
- 37:53Speaker 8: Right?
- 37:53Speaker 7: I don't know what that is for you. But just
- 37:55Speaker 7: talk about it. When you hear my videos, one of
- 37:58Speaker 7: the things you notice that separates me from everybody else,
- 38:00Speaker 7: I don't do what in any of my videos?
- 38:02Speaker 8: I don't curse.
- 38:03Speaker 7: You've never seen me cuss before. You've never seen me
- 38:06Speaker 7: drink before. You've never seen me smoke. I'm not against
- 38:09Speaker 7: drinking and smoking, but my brand is I don't drink,
- 38:12Speaker 7: I don't smoke. What are you going to do to
- 38:13Speaker 7: separate yourself? Like I do things to separate myself from
- 38:17Speaker 7: everybody else. The passion that I have when I speak,
- 38:19Speaker 7: the grind that I have when I.
- 38:21Speaker 8: Do what I do.
- 38:22Speaker 7: What are you going to do to separate yourself? People
- 38:24Speaker 7: you're not even going to be hanging out with. All
- 38:28Speaker 7: I want to hear is E. They grinding like they
- 38:29Speaker 7: never grind before. Johnny, I want to hear they out
- 38:32Speaker 7: there handling that rock like E. They monsters, E. They
- 38:35Speaker 7: like freaks out here, E. Like, they going hard, E.
- 38:38Speaker 7: That's all I want. Well, some more stuff is keeping
- 38:41Speaker 7: you from doing what you're supposed to do.
- 38:43Speaker 3: I love it.
- 38:48Speaker 8: You have an opportunity of a lifetime.
- 38:52Speaker 7: And what I'm trying to get you to understand is
- 38:55Speaker 7: When you understand you have an opportunity, you play a
- 39:00Speaker 7: little different. I wasn't successful because of who I was.
- 39:11Speaker 7: Like in a lot of y'all for real, here's what
- 39:13Speaker 7: you got to stop doing. You hold people to the
- 39:16Speaker 7: fire when they don't do what they're supposed to do,
- 39:18Speaker 7: but you give yourself a pass.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Like, and you gotta stop doing that.
- 39:22Speaker 7: Like, I see in this generation, people will let their
- 39:25Speaker 7: kids get away with stuff that I know you wouldn't
- 39:27Speaker 7: let nobody else's kid get away with.
- 39:29Speaker 3: But sometimes when you're so close to something, you don't
- 39:32Speaker 3: treat it.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Real.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Like, you give it a pass because it's your baby.
- 39:37Speaker 7: But if somebody else was to get on your couch
- 39:39Speaker 7: and do that, you'd have a fit.
- 39:41Speaker 3: So what I had to start doing was saying, you gotta.
- 39:43Speaker 7: Stop holding other people to the fire, you gotta hold
- 39:46Speaker 7: yourself to the fire. And I realized that without a schedule,
- 39:50Speaker 7: I was the one that was messing up my life.
- 39:52Speaker 3: And I realized I needed a schedule.
- 39:54Speaker 7: Because I wasn't the brand to get me where I
- 39:59Speaker 7: wanted to go, if that makes sense. Like that version
- 40:01Speaker 7: of Eric Thomas would never make me a 1%. I
- 40:04Speaker 7: realized that. So when I sat down with Warren Buffett,
- 40:06Speaker 7: three things that blew my mind. I never really realized
- 40:10Speaker 7: where his money came from. So the first thing I
- 40:12Speaker 7: did was I was like, yo, his money comes from investments. Well,
- 40:15Speaker 7: what happened was when he was 12 years old, His
- 40:18Speaker 7: father gave him his first like grand and let him
- 40:20Speaker 7: make an investment. So I realized he's not getting up
- 40:24Speaker 7: early in the morning just to get up in the morning.
- 40:25Speaker 7: What he says he does is he reads. He doesn't
- 40:29Speaker 7: just read books. That's not what he does. He reads
- 40:32Speaker 7: financial reports. So this dude was telling me he read
- 40:35Speaker 7: a financial report of General Motors in like 1964. And
- 40:38Speaker 7: I'm thinking like, why would you be reading?
- 40:42Speaker 3: It's 2014.
- 40:43Speaker 7: He was reading the document, the financial.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Listen to me. He's a financial genius. What was he reading? Finances.
- 40:51Speaker 3: For real, y'all be coming up to me like, yo E,
- 40:53Speaker 3: what you reading?
- 40:54Speaker 8: Why?
- 40:55Speaker 7: You trying to be a motivational speaker? You trying to
- 40:57Speaker 7: be the next Martin Luther King? You trying to be
- 41:00Speaker 7: the next Mother Teresa? Why are you trying to read
- 41:02Speaker 7: what I'm reading?
- 41:03Speaker 3: Like what are you trying, like you trying.
- 41:04Speaker 7: To impress somebody? Why are you reading what I'm trying
- 41:07Speaker 7: to read if you're not trying to be me? He
- 41:09Speaker 7: was not reading Mother Teresa. He wasn't reading about leaders.
- 41:13Speaker 7: He was reading a financial report from.
- 41:17Speaker 3: 1964 General Motors.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Why?
- 41:19Speaker 7: Because General Motors had one of their successful financial years
- 41:22Speaker 7: in 1964. And so he was looking for the clues
- 41:26Speaker 7: of what were they doing specifically in 1964 that can
- 41:30Speaker 7: be duplicated in 2014.
- 41:32Speaker 3: That's what he was looking for.
- 41:33Speaker 7: So a lot of you getting up early because ET
- 41:35Speaker 7: get up early, but you getting up early for no reason.
- 41:38Speaker 3: You just up early.
- 41:40Speaker 7: So be careful that your routine is pointing to where
- 41:44Speaker 7: you're trying to get to and you're not wasting time.
- 41:46Speaker 3: So I'm looking at Warren Buffett. He says he reads
- 41:48Speaker 3: six hours a day.
- 41:52Speaker 7: He reads financial documents six hours a day.
- 41:55Speaker 3: That's the first thing he does. Seven days a week,
- 41:58Speaker 3: six hours. But watch this. You go, ooh.
- 42:04Speaker 7: When you read something for six hours times seven, That's
- 42:09Speaker 7: 42 hours, right?
- 42:11Speaker 3: That's 42 hours a week, right?
- 42:14Speaker 7: I don't know how many hours that is a year,
- 42:16Speaker 7: but guess why he makes the best financial decision? Because
- 42:20Speaker 7: all he's doing is financial stuff.
- 42:22Speaker 3: He's putting in 10,000, 20,000, 40,000, 50,000 hours.
- 42:30Speaker 7: If you're gifted in three areas, then that means you're
- 42:32Speaker 7: going to have to get 30,000 hours just to be
- 42:34Speaker 7: like basically a master. But what if you did one
- 42:37Speaker 7: thing and got 30 hours of information in just that
- 42:41Speaker 7: one area? You guys got 10,000 in three different areas.
- 42:46Speaker 7: So while you got 10,000, I got 40, 50,000 in
- 42:47Speaker 7: one area.
- 42:47Speaker 3: What?
- 42:47Speaker 8: Speaking.
- 42:51Speaker 3: And guess what the disc is? The disc is still
- 42:53Speaker 3: going further into personalities. It's still the same exact thing.
- 42:58Speaker 3: So I'm putting more hours on top.
- 42:59Speaker 7: So the routine is important because eventually it's going to
- 43:02Speaker 7: make you a beast in one particular area.
- 43:05Speaker 3: That's why you need a routine because you can't trust
- 43:07Speaker 3: yourself not to get off track.
- 43:09Speaker 7: That routine is going to keep you on track and
- 43:12Speaker 7: make you a 1%.
- 43:14Speaker 27: Everybody's feeling the same thing. There's no hope. It's all
- 43:18Speaker 27: outside of my control. There's nothing I can do. These
- 43:23Speaker 27: are the common things.
- 43:24Speaker 16: It's not fair.
- 43:25Speaker 27: These are the common things that people feel.
- 43:27Speaker 28: Your life is a series of lessons you've learned. Now,
- 43:30Speaker 28: if you just dwell on the failures, that's not healthy.
- 43:34Speaker 28: It's not smart and it's not empowering. What you got
- 43:37Speaker 28: to do is look at those failures and go, well,
- 43:39Speaker 28: now you know what not to do.
- 43:41Speaker 29: So being a victim is being completely powerless and taking
- 43:45Speaker 29: away all control you might have, which ultimately doesn't make
- 43:48Speaker 29: you feel safe, which ultimately doesn't give you happiness, which
- 43:51Speaker 29: ultimately doesn't give you prosperity and, you know, fill in
- 43:53Speaker 29: the blank. And so what does being a victim get you?
- 43:56Speaker 18: Nothing, absolutely nothing.
- 43:58Speaker 27: And first off, life is not fair. Bad things happen
- 44:02Speaker 27: to good people. Perfect plans suddenly in the blink of
- 44:06Speaker 27: an eye can be ripped apart and just be totally
- 44:09Speaker 27: thrown off course. And it is this so many people
- 44:12Speaker 27: in the victim mindset, it's a mindset. Well, that's not fair.
- 44:16Speaker 9: Well, you're right. It's not.
- 44:17Speaker 16: But guess what?
- 44:18Speaker 27: Sitting there and focusing all your blame and time on
- 44:22Speaker 27: the fact that your perfect plan or something happened or
- 44:25Speaker 27: your world got thrown upside down accomplishes nothing.
- 44:28Speaker 5: Nothing.
- 44:29Speaker 28: Life is filled with so many different kinds of experiences
- 44:31Speaker 28: that are available. And that's one of the things that
- 44:34Speaker 28: you sort of open up to when you relax. When
- 44:36Speaker 28: you relax and you don't worry about what you look like,
- 44:39Speaker 28: you don't worry about what you sound like, you don't
- 44:41Speaker 28: worry about how people feel about you. Because you've thought
- 44:44Speaker 28: about all these different things on your own and you've
- 44:46Speaker 28: kind of corrected as many things as you can correct
- 44:49Speaker 28: given that time period. But you feel comfortable that you're
- 44:52Speaker 28: on a good path. Then you sort of can entertain
- 44:56Speaker 28: ideas that maybe you wouldn't if you were insecure or
- 44:58Speaker 28: more insecure. I think you have to be insecure if
- 45:02Speaker 28: you're finite.
- 45:03Speaker 27: A victim mentality limits... your success in this life. You know,
- 45:08Speaker 27: you will stay wherever you are and you will achieve
- 45:12Speaker 27: the limit of what you believe, which if you believe
- 45:15Speaker 27: you're never going to.
- 45:15Speaker 16: Get out of the neighborhood you grew up in, you're right,
- 45:18Speaker 16: you will not.
- 45:19Speaker 27: And if you're waiting for somebody else to save you,
- 45:22Speaker 27: it most likely is.
- 45:23Speaker 16: Not going to happen.
- 45:24Speaker 27: And actually what I have come to find over time
- 45:26Speaker 27: is even if someone comes to save you, if you
- 45:29Speaker 27: don't believe in yourself, we.
- 45:31Speaker 16: Can't drag anybody off the X because guess what? They
- 45:33Speaker 16: will climb right back onto it.
- 45:35Speaker 27: It's only an individual that believes in themselves. Greatness lies
- 45:41Speaker 27: in every single individual. And the only thing stopping an
- 45:44Speaker 27: individual from being successful is that, you know, it doesn't
- 45:47Speaker 27: guarantee it.
- 45:48Speaker 16: I will say that.
- 45:49Speaker 27: But I tell you what will guarantee you never moving
- 45:52Speaker 27: forward is if you buy into that victim mindset and
- 45:55Speaker 27: just sit on that X forever waiting for some miraculous
- 45:58Speaker 27: thing to come along and save you. Because if you
- 46:01Speaker 27: don't start that process, it'll never happen.
- 46:03Speaker 18: When you're a victim, you're in zero control. You have
- 46:07Speaker 18: zero control.
- 46:08Speaker 29: And we can go from the simplest thing of you're
- 46:11Speaker 29: a victim and you want the government to take care
- 46:13Speaker 29: of it.
- 46:13Speaker 18: Well, what if the government fails? Well, now you're screwed, right?
- 46:15Speaker 18: So you need to be independent in that space. You're
- 46:18Speaker 18: being abused. You're a victim.
- 46:19Speaker 29: Yes, I understand that there should be sympathy inside of
- 46:23Speaker 29: being a victim for.
- 46:24Speaker 18: Something that happened, but that's the key, something that happened.
- 46:28Speaker 29: If it's happening, we're talking a completely different thing here,
- 46:32Speaker 29: and I want to make sure that's clear. If you're
- 46:34Speaker 29: currently being abused or you're currently being victimized, then please
- 46:39Speaker 29: seek help. And it's not being a victim to ask
- 46:41Speaker 29: for help. What's really, to me, being a victim is
- 46:43Speaker 29: you're past it. It's happened, and now you just keep
- 46:46Speaker 29: replaying that in your head over and over and over again.
- 46:49Speaker 16: People that follow me know I talk about the X.
- 46:52Speaker 27: The X is really a military term that stems from
- 46:55Speaker 27: a point of attack. It can be an ambush site.
- 46:59Speaker 27: It can be a target you're trying to take down.
- 47:01Speaker 27: The flip side of the coin, if you get attacked,
- 47:04Speaker 27: you are on the X. And the victim mindset, if
- 47:07Speaker 27: you say to yourself, I am not able to do
- 47:10Speaker 27: something because race, creed, color, gender, size, where I came from,
- 47:18Speaker 27: socioeconomic status, whatever it is, any of those things pin.
- 47:22Speaker 16: You to the X.
- 47:23Speaker 27: They give you an excuse to sit on the because
- 47:26Speaker 27: you're able to say, well, I can't do this because
- 47:29Speaker 27: I'm a specific color. I can't do this because of
- 47:31Speaker 27: my gender. I can't do this because of my gender persuasion.
- 47:34Speaker 16: None of that really matters. And there's millions and millions
- 47:37Speaker 16: of people.
- 47:38Speaker 27: It matters, but it doesn't matter because the reality is
- 47:41Speaker 27: it doesn't matter for your ability to drive forward out
- 47:44Speaker 27: of a bad situation.
- 47:46Speaker 16: And usually when.
- 47:47Speaker 27: There's a bad situation, there's a natural tendency to focus
- 47:50Speaker 27: inward on the pain and the misery and all these things.
- 47:53Speaker 16: But the reality, it's on you to take that first step.
- 47:58Speaker 27: And that became the genesis of this idea that I
- 48:02Speaker 27: now speak on, getting off the X. And it is
- 48:05Speaker 27: a victor mentality. It's a mentality that I don't care
- 48:08Speaker 27: what happens in my life. I'm going to continue to
- 48:11Speaker 27: drive forward. I'm going to figure out a way.
- 48:13Speaker 28: A lot of people are just running from discomfort. They're
- 48:16Speaker 28: running from it. They're just avoiding it.
- 48:17Speaker 18: It's so easy to.
- 48:19Speaker 28: And if you get distracted for a second, you're like, yeah,
- 48:22Speaker 28: let me check my phone. just start going through your
- 48:24Speaker 28: phone and looking at, and you're just distracting yourself from
- 48:29Speaker 28: the tiniest frustration of boredom. Just a little, we don't
- 48:34Speaker 28: get bored anymore. Or if we get bored, we get
- 48:36Speaker 28: bored for these tiny amounts of time. Then you get distracted.
- 48:39Speaker 28: So your distraction is eliminating your boredom. But the problem
- 48:43Speaker 28: with that is like, there's certain thoughts that only come
- 48:46Speaker 28: to you when you're thinking, when you're, you don't have
- 48:49Speaker 28: any input coming in. When we're constantly looking at our
- 48:52Speaker 28: phones and, The only input you're getting is input from
- 48:56Speaker 28: other people. And sometimes that's good. Sometimes you get good
- 48:59Speaker 28: stuff out of that. But it's like a diet of
- 49:02Speaker 28: only fruit. You need some protein. You need to get
- 49:08Speaker 28: some other things in your diet. And I think having
- 49:13Speaker 28: discomfort in your diet, like having it as a regular
- 49:16Speaker 28: part of your life, it minimizes the amount of other conditions.
- 49:20Speaker 28: kinds of that you create.
- 49:24Speaker 29: I didn't know any of this stuff when I was
- 49:25Speaker 29: a kid until I was about 16, 17. I started
- 49:28Speaker 29: like reading encyclopedias on the human body and mind.
- 49:31Speaker 18: But even then we had no clue.
- 49:33Speaker 29: And now like all this science is coming out about
- 49:36Speaker 29: energy and positive and negative and chemical hormones being stored
- 49:39Speaker 29: in the brain and like memories actually releasing endorphins, like
- 49:42Speaker 29: all this stuff's happening.
- 49:43Speaker 18: And it's like, wow, cool. Like the monks had something.
- 49:46Speaker 29: It's like we're like going and proving these very, very, very,
- 49:51Speaker 29: very ancient rituals and to be scientifically accurate.
- 49:56Speaker 18: And who knew where they got their inspiration.
- 49:58Speaker 29: But regardless, we're now proving that this rewriting of the story,
- 50:02Speaker 29: this telling yourself and believing something different literally changes the
- 50:06Speaker 29: chemical makeup in your body, which releases different hormones and
- 50:10Speaker 29: different endorphins, which then allows you to have a different,
- 50:13Speaker 29: complete outlook. And not just that, but We're sensual beings,
- 50:16Speaker 29: so we sense other things from other human beings.
- 50:19Speaker 18: We use the old adage of dogs.
- 50:22Speaker 29: If you're scared of a dog and you go up
- 50:23Speaker 29: to it, it's going to know you're scared, and so
- 50:25Speaker 29: it's going to bark at you more or whatever.
- 50:27Speaker 18: Human beings are the same way.
- 50:28Speaker 29: If you're unconfident, you don't feel sexy, and you don't
- 50:31Speaker 29: feel this way, that's how you're.
- 50:33Speaker 18: Going to come across.
- 50:34Speaker 29: Not because that's what you really maybe are with skin
- 50:38Speaker 29: and all that, but that's the chemicals that you're releasing.
- 50:42Speaker 29: It's okay to have had something happen to you. Like,
- 50:45Speaker 29: you're not a bad person because of that. And it
- 50:47Speaker 29: sounds crazy unless somebody's watching this who's gone through something.
- 50:50Speaker 29: You know the guilt you feel and the things that
- 50:53Speaker 29: you carry that you haven't told anyone because you're ashamed
- 50:56Speaker 29: or all these things.
- 50:57Speaker 18: That's okay. But continuing to allow it to affect you,
- 51:00Speaker 18: that's on you. That's not on the abuser. That's not
- 51:03Speaker 18: on the situation. That's on you.
- 51:05Speaker 29: It's a choice you have to make of, I am
- 51:07Speaker 29: no longer going to let this happen.
- 51:09Speaker 27: When you decide to get up and drive forward, you know.
- 51:14Speaker 16: I think action cures all is what you said. I
- 51:16Speaker 16: say movement is life. Movement is life. Movement creates momentum.
- 51:21Speaker 27: And the great thing about momentum is even if you
- 51:23Speaker 27: step into another ambush or into another hole, guess what?
- 51:27Speaker 16: Movement enables you to hopefully knock out of it.
- 51:30Speaker 27: And with that movement, you take action when you get
- 51:34Speaker 27: off that X and drive forward.
- 51:36Speaker 16: Number one, it creates hope.
- 51:38Speaker 28: You get so much more benefit out of a struggle
- 51:42Speaker 28: that you choose to embark in. versus a struggle that
- 51:45Speaker 28: life throws upon you. And I think the more you
- 51:47Speaker 28: choose to embark in these struggles, especially physical and mental struggles,
- 51:52Speaker 28: because I consider both martial arts, yoga, and actually even
- 51:56Speaker 28: trail running, I consider the mental struggles as much as
- 51:59Speaker 28: physical struggles. Because I can stop anytime I want. I'm
- 52:03Speaker 28: halfway up the hill, I can.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Go like this.
- 52:05Speaker 28: Someone walking the rest of the way. Call my dog over,
- 52:08Speaker 28: put him on the leash. I'm like, we're walking, buddy.
- 52:11Speaker 28: Or you could say, no, this is what I'm doing today.
- 52:14Speaker 28: I have a very clear plan in front of me.
- 52:18Speaker 28: My plan is we're doing four miles today. This is
- 52:21Speaker 28: where we start. This is where we end. This is
- 52:23Speaker 28: what we're doing.
- 52:27Speaker 20: If you do tomorrow what you did today, you will
- 52:30Speaker 20: get tomorrow what you got today.
- 52:33Speaker 8: So you have a choice.
- 52:35Speaker 9: To know which step you're going to take today.
- 52:39Speaker 16: You see, how you do anything is how you do everything.
- 52:45Speaker 16: I may be hurting.
- 52:47Speaker 14: I may have pains.
- 52:49Speaker 8: I may have been down, but I am not out.
- 52:52Speaker 14: I am getting out of this hole and into my destiny.
- 52:59Speaker 26: 99% of people are not willing to do what it
- 53:03Speaker 26: takes to make their dreams come true.
- 53:06Speaker 8: And that's just real.
- 53:07Speaker 26: At the center of bringing any dream into fruition is self-discipline.
- 53:13Speaker 26: It's getting command of your mind to be able to
- 53:17Speaker 26: choose actions that are in your own best interest.
- 53:21Speaker 3: So how do we.
- 53:21Speaker 9: Get better every day, every hour?
- 53:26Speaker 8: How do we find those resources?
- 53:28Speaker 26: How do we find the energy, the knowledge to do that?
- 53:32Speaker 13: Long days of classes, long nights of studying, projects, case studies,
- 53:39Speaker 13: pop quizzes, and final exams, but you keep pushing and
- 53:43Speaker 13: pushing because you know one day all of that hard
- 53:47Speaker 13: work and studying will pay off.
- 53:50Speaker 10: It's not about how much you sleep, it's what you
- 53:52Speaker 10: do while you're awake. Every minute has to count. Every
- 53:56Speaker 10: minute has to count if you want so much because
- 53:59Speaker 10: you just don't have as many of them.
- 54:00Speaker 23: As you think.
- 54:02Speaker 30: But you've got to decide that I'm going to be fearless.
- 54:05Speaker 16: I refuse to be denied.
- 54:07Speaker 9: And I'm going to go all out.
- 54:09Speaker 8: I'm going to be relentless.
- 54:11Speaker 9: I don't care how many no's I encounter.
- 54:13Speaker 11: You can't make a basket unless you shoot the ball.
- 54:16Speaker 7: You can't hit a home run unless you take a.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Swing at it.
- 54:19Speaker 11: Most people won't even take a swing.
- 54:21Speaker 7: You leave one thing and you go to the next thing.
- 54:24Speaker 7: You got the backpack mentality. You trying to pack up.
- 54:27Speaker 7: You trying to do new stuff when you haven't finished
- 54:29Speaker 7: doing what you were supposed to do before.
- 54:31Speaker 8: I don't know what time you got to get up.
- 54:32Speaker 3: I don't know what time you got to go to bed.
- 54:34Speaker 3: I'm not 100% sure. But what I'm telling you is you.
- 54:36Speaker 7: Got to want it as bad as you want to breathe.
- 54:40Speaker 7: And you can't just talk about it, right? You got
- 54:42Speaker 7: to make it happen. It's about can you do better
- 54:46Speaker 7: than you did yesterday? I'm talking to that person that
- 54:49Speaker 7: keeps failing the mission. I'm talking to that person that
- 54:53Speaker 7: just wants to beat their self of yesterday.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Get up.
- 54:59Speaker 8: You got a day to conquer.
- 55:01Speaker 18: There was not a single night I went to sleep
- 55:03Speaker 18: feeling pressure. I just always knew I could do it.
- 55:09Speaker 7: Are you giving 120? Are you giving 70 because of
- 55:12Speaker 7: what's going.
- 55:13Speaker 8: On at your school?
- 55:14Speaker 3: Or what's going on between you and your principal? Or
- 55:17Speaker 3: what's going on between you and your peers? No, listen
- 55:20Speaker 3: to me. As we move forward, I must ask you
- 55:22Speaker 3: the question, how bad do you want it?
- 55:25Speaker 7: And so we're dealing with real life, and I get that.
- 55:28Speaker 7: But we got to want this as bad as we
- 55:29Speaker 7: want to breathe. I want to get you back to
- 55:32Speaker 7: 120 because we need you at 120. Back to that
- 55:36Speaker 7: place where not only you love education, but you're coming
- 55:40Speaker 7: in with 120%. Your life may not look anything like
- 55:43Speaker 7: you thought it would look right now, but you have
- 55:46Speaker 7: an opportunity today to change that. And every decision you
- 55:51Speaker 7: make is either bringing you to your destiny or taking
- 55:56Speaker 7: you from your destiny.
- 55:58Speaker 8: Control, alt, delete.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Control yourself, alter your thinking, and delete negativity.
- 56:05Speaker 8: Period.
- 56:07Speaker 7: But in order for you to get it, it's love,
- 56:09Speaker 7: it's sweat, it's tears. You got to put in hours.
- 56:12Speaker 7: I'm hitting a book every hour that I have. I'm
- 56:15Speaker 7: putting it into that book. And it's not just about
- 56:17Speaker 7: having it. It's about saying, I got to do whatever
- 56:20Speaker 7: I got to do to make it work.
- 56:22Speaker 14: There is a switch inside of every one of us.
- 56:26Speaker 14: And at any moment in life, you can turn that
- 56:28Speaker 14: switch from surviving Today, I want you to make a
- 56:33Speaker 14: decision to flip the switch inside of you.
- 56:38Speaker 8: See, it's not about the blow that you took.
- 56:40Speaker 14: It has everything to do with what you build after
- 56:44Speaker 14: the blow.
- 56:45Speaker 3: I don't care who you are, where you're from and
- 56:47Speaker 3: what you're doing.
- 56:48Speaker 8: Get to it. Get to it.
- 56:50Speaker 7: I wasn't in school to learn. And many of you,
- 56:53Speaker 7: you're not in life to learn. The reality is if
- 56:56Speaker 7: you give up too soon, if you don't learn all
- 56:58Speaker 7: the lessons that you're supposed to learn, you're going to
- 57:00Speaker 7: keep going in circles in life and you will never
- 57:03Speaker 7: get to where you're supposed to get to in life.
- 57:05Speaker 8: You cannot overcome until you become.
- 57:08Speaker 7: You can't do better academically until you become a student,
- 57:12Speaker 7: until you're the first one in class, until you read
- 57:15Speaker 7: every chapter you're supposed to read before you get to class.
- 57:18Speaker 7: That's right, you did the proper preparation before you got
- 57:22Speaker 7: to class, all right? Can you do better than you
- 57:25Speaker 7: did yesterday?
- 57:26Speaker 3: That's all I want to ask you. Can you do better?
- 57:30Speaker 3: There are going to be days when you're going to
- 57:31Speaker 3: be tired.
- 57:32Speaker 8: Of being you.
- 57:34Speaker 7: You don't want to get out of bed. You don't
- 57:35Speaker 7: want to talk to nobody. You don't want to think.
- 57:39Speaker 7: And you got two options.
- 57:40Speaker 3: You can give up or get up.
- 57:44Speaker 7: You can have journals full of dreams. But if you
- 57:46Speaker 7: don't count up the cost of what it's going to
- 57:49Speaker 7: take and if you are not willing to pay that price,
- 57:52Speaker 7: you cannot have your future.
- 57:55Speaker 3: Begin waking up at 2 o'clock in the morning.
- 57:57Speaker 7: You may have to lose sleep so that you can
- 58:00Speaker 7: accomplish what it is that you've been destined to accomplish.
- 58:05Speaker 7: To get to this next level is inside of you.
- 58:08Speaker 7: There's always another level. And if all we're thinking about
- 58:11Speaker 7: is the goal and not valuing the journey and the
- 58:16Speaker 7: growth that happens along the way, then we'll miss the moment.
- 58:20Speaker 7: And when we miss the value in a moment, we lack.
- 58:24Speaker 3: Momentum and we stay stagnant, feed it in reverse.
- 58:29Speaker 8: We not waiting for it to come to us. We
- 58:32Speaker 8: going to get it.
- 58:33Speaker 7: You can do whatever you want to do, be whatever
- 58:35Speaker 7: you want to be, but you can't do it talking.
- 58:38Speaker 3: You can't do it saying, making excuses. I'm sick.
- 58:40Speaker 8: Well, I had a bad day. Listen to me, baby.
- 58:43Speaker 3: Opportunity comes once in a lifetime.
- 58:45Speaker 19: It's necessary you take responsibility for it, that you make
- 58:49Speaker 19: it happen, that you don't give up, that you don't
- 58:51Speaker 19: take any objection or disappointment or defeats personally, that you
- 58:55Speaker 19: keep on keeping on, that you don't decide that I
- 58:58Speaker 19: can't make it because you can't see the light at
- 58:59Speaker 19: the end of the tunnel, that you realize that's a
- 59:02Speaker 19: part of the program.
- 59:03Speaker 8: Not over till I get over.
- 59:05Speaker 3: Not over till I get.
- 59:06Speaker 7: What I want.
- 59:07Speaker 8: Door can't open today, look out. I'm gonna come back
- 59:10Speaker 8: and take the.
- 59:10Speaker 30: Hinges off if you want to make it happen it's
- 59:14Speaker 30: you that you've got to take personal responsibility to make
- 59:18Speaker 30: it happen that you have got to own what it
- 59:21Speaker 30: is that you want to do if it's just to
- 59:25Speaker 30: take yourself to another level it's you You've got to
- 59:29Speaker 30: make that happen.
- 59:30Speaker 11: We can point out many things that can make it
- 59:32Speaker 11: inconvenient or can slow us down.
- 59:34Speaker 8: But ultimately, it's on us.
