- 2:49so you get to choose you go first, Okay, Judge Mathis, it's
- 2:53a very official system. If you're watching on the YouTube's you would just be
- 2:55blown away by um foot. Felicia Banks, no Relationshsia, Felicia Banks.
- 3:04Felicia Felicia Banks. I'm pretty sure they call her Felicia. The whole court
- 3:07book say, Felicia is suing Brittany Williams for thirty five hundred dollars for a
- 3:13car wreck. Brittney is countersuing, we never get that amount for emotional distress.
- 3:21So let's dive in. Felicia starts. Felicia is prompt, she is
- 3:24kurts, she is nothing, but the facts, ma'am, she says,
- 3:29she want to I want to start off by saying, I don't know Brittany,
- 3:32never seen her before. This incident occurred. A weird way to start,
- 3:36but that's where we start. My son's car was parked on the street
- 3:39in front of my house. I was sitting outside of my house when I
- 3:44saw a blue Nissan Sentra back in back down the street out of control,
- 3:51hit his car and then pull off. That's what happened. I saw it.
- 3:54And not only did I see it, but I have video of it.
- 4:00I've videoed it happened. Thank god. Um and and we'll get there,
- 4:04okay, and uh and and I at the time that it happened,
- 4:08I'm yelling for my boyfriend and my son to come outside. Car just got
- 4:12hit. They run outside and my boyfriend tells my son, getting your car,
- 4:15go chase after her. So that's what he does. He gets in
- 4:18the car and he goes and chase after but he loses her. And we
- 4:23think that that's it. But he's at the store a couple of hours later,
- 4:26and when he's at the store, he sees the CenTra that hit his
- 4:30car. It's a godwin. Yeah, there's he sees the spot where it
- 4:32hit. He knows that it's there, and then he sees that she's in
- 4:35the car and he calls his mom and he says to Godwin, he says,
- 4:40I see her. She's in the car, and mom says, stay
- 4:42put, we're on her way. So the mom, the boyfriend, and
- 4:46her daughter ten year old daughter get in the car in their green truck,
- 4:50and they take off to the store. So we have boyfriend in his car,
- 4:54we have hit and run in her car, and then we have uh,
- 4:58Felicia and her boyfriend and her ten year old daughter in the green truck.
- 5:00Okay, so as they come up. Uh. Basically Felicia's story is
- 5:04is that the Blue center takes off. She realized something's going they take she
- 5:11takes off, and so they proceed to pursue her in chase in both of
- 5:15their automobiles. So this Blue CenTra is driving, there's one car behind her,
- 5:20there's another truck behind their two cars. It's like a three three man
- 5:26j situation. They're driving. They're all driving down the street. They pursue
- 5:30in chase. She is out of control. According to Felicia, she's hopping
- 5:33over curbs, she's doing U turns, she's trying to lose them. Sure,
- 5:38she comes up to a stop. It's a city, is this I
- 5:41don't know the canswer to that. She lists a couple of roads like we're
- 5:44supposed to know, like she's she was flying down Roosevelt Boulevard and I'm like,
- 5:47okay, good now I'm tracking. No one does that. Yeah,
- 5:51And she comes to a stop and she turn puts her right blinker on,
- 5:56which is weird for me in a chase in general. But she puts her
- 5:58right blinker on, and at that time, my son pulls up to her
- 6:01right so she can't turn and says, hey, pull over. Well in
- 6:05the truck, we pull up to her left, so they basically sandwich her
- 6:09when she sees she doesn't see our truck and tries to veer left and hits
- 6:15the truck um and then she veers off. Are they videotaping all this?
- 6:20And they're not videotaping all this. So at this point matthis goes Okay,
- 6:25let's hear your version, which is weird because the story's not done yet.
- 6:29Let's hear your version. So Brittany says, first of all, I don't
- 6:31know her still at this moment, I don't know why they said that.
- 6:36Aside from the fact that I don't I don't know why they said that.
- 6:41I don't know her never met her. Um, I will admit I was
- 6:44backing out of my friend's house, she lives across the street. I did
- 6:47tap the car. I tapped the car, but I pulled off because there
- 6:50was no damage. Sure, And matthis says, how do you know there
- 6:56was no damage? And she said, because I looked at my car.
- 7:00He said, you got out of the car and looked at your car,
- 7:02but not his car, And she says, no, no, no,
- 7:04I looked at my car like hours later. And he said, okay,
- 7:10well, first of all, your car. It's great if your car doesn't
- 7:15have any damage, but that doesn't mean his car didn't have any damage.
- 7:17And also, if you were so sure you didn't cause any damage, why
- 7:21did you look at all? Why why did you why did you look at
- 7:26all? And basically, h you know, she said, I just did.
- 7:30There wasn't any damage. You're right, I shouldn't even looked at my
- 7:32car because there wasn't any damage. There was no damage at all. Um,
- 7:38and he he is like, uh so, then she said she says,
- 7:44So then I see I'm at the store, and I see that the
- 7:46car that I tapped is there in the parking lot, and I leave in
- 7:50the car in the tap is following me, and then I see there's a
- 7:54big green truck following me, and I get really scared, and Judge Matthew
- 7:59says, well, why were you scared? And she says because I was
- 8:01being followed and he said, yeah, by the car that you tapped earlier.
- 8:05You knew it was the car that you tapped earlier, and he said,
- 8:07she said yeah, but I was still scared, like this is you
- 8:09know, this is a dangerous neighborhood, and you know I didn't. I
- 8:15didn't really know what they were gonna do. I was scared for my life.
- 8:18So I tapped. And he goes, but what's the motive. What
- 8:22is the motive for them following you? This isn't a stranger following you,
- 8:26this is the car that you tapped. What's their motive for following you?
- 8:30And she says, because I tapped their car? And he says, okay,
- 8:33there we go. The car that you clearly did damage to, even
- 8:37though you said you didn't, because if you didn't do any damage to it.
- 8:39Why would they be following you? And she's like, your honor,
- 8:43two cars are chasing me, and I'm scared. He goes, you're fleeing.
- 8:48You're not scared. You're fleeing. That's what you're doing. She said,
- 8:52well, whatever, even if you call it fleeing. I called the
- 8:54police at that moment. I called the police and I said, I'm getting
- 9:00on the freeway. I'm coming to the police station. I try to turn
- 9:03left to go the police station. Her husband, which is her boyfriend,
- 9:05not her husband. Her husband t bones me and pushes me like he's trying
- 9:09to push me onto the interstate. He t bones me, doesn't let me
- 9:13do it. I peel off and I get to the freeway. Then I
- 9:16go round back. They follow me. I go to the police station.
- 9:20I pull into the police station. They pull in behind me. They get
- 9:22out of the car. The boyfriends the husband is firing right at me.
- 9:26He's yelling, screaming, we're about to get in the fight in the police
- 9:28station parking lot. Judge matthis goes okay, did the police come out.
- 9:33Yeah, the police came out. They brought us in. They cooled us
- 9:35down, and they told us that both of our cars had been hit by
- 9:39the other, and so we could just figure it was even, or we
- 9:41could figure it out on our room. It was even. Yeah, it
- 9:45was even. So she then skips. She says, that's the end of
- 9:48that. What does the boyfriend say about that? He's not in the courtroom.
- 9:52Okay, but we'll get back to that a second, she says.
- 9:56A couple of weeks a year, they hate you. Did say, it's
- 9:58a lot or to call insurances if you want to call insurances. But you
- 10:03hit each other, so we're not We're not going to determine fault here.
- 10:07You hit each other, So just get out of here. Basically, is
- 10:09what she said happened. Now you're gonna find out that's not what happened.
- 10:13She says. A couple of weeks later, I'm back on their block again.
- 10:16Now I'm on my I'm at my friend's house. I'm across the street.
- 10:18I'm mind in my own business. My friend lives there. I'm staying
- 10:22on that side of the street. Her husband comes outside. He's waving a
- 10:24shotgun in his hand. He points the shotgun at me. He's yelling.
- 10:28He's cursing at me from across the street. I call the police again.
- 10:33They come out, they get the story from both sides. The police informed
- 10:37them to stop and to go through insurance for the car stuff and to leave
- 10:43me alone. Matthis says, So they have insurance, we're getting there too.
- 10:48So no, that's fair. It would be fair to ask that question.
- 10:52Matthis says, So this man was pointing a shotgun at you, Yes,
- 10:56sir, he was threatening to blow you away. Yes, So that's
- 11:01in a police report. He's like, show me that, like, clearly,
- 11:05that is in a police report. Like, you have a police report
- 11:09that says this man pointed a shotgun in broad daylight at my face. Show
- 11:18it to me. And she says, I don't have that. I've got
- 11:22a witness that says police report. That's what he says, police report.
- 11:26Show it to me. I don't have a report. They didn't take my
- 11:28statement. And he said, then you need to go straight to the head
- 11:33of the police department and you need to file a claim and file a grievance
- 11:37with the head of the police that says a man pulled a shotgun on me.
- 11:41Why didn't you fill out a report and what have you done since?
- 11:45Because I was almost blown away with a shotgun. So he turns back to
- 11:52Felicia. He says, Felicia, can you tell me your side of this?
- 11:56And Felicia says, she did pull into the police station, but when
- 11:58we pulled it after her, he pulled back out onto the freeway, and
- 12:01then she came back and we did a second loop. When we got out,
- 12:03my boyfriend was definitely mad. He was screaming and yellow in her.
- 12:07There's no doubt about that. But then the police settled us down and I
- 12:11showed them the video that I had of what happened at the event. The
- 12:15police then informed me she was being arrested for driving with a suspended license,
- 12:22and when they got her out of her car, the marijuana smoke just came
- 12:24billowing out. You could see it. It was visible. They gave me
- 12:28the police report number saying she was arrested. They gave me the claim number
- 12:33to fly with her insurance. I tried to call her insurance company, but
- 12:35because of COVID, there was no one there to take that claim at the
- 12:41time. Matthias says, ma'am, is this true? And Brittany says,
- 12:45my license was suspended because and Matthis says, that wasn't my question. Were
- 12:50you arrested. Yes, I was arrested. And then we get to see
- 12:54the video, and boy, howdy is it a doozy. This woman is
- 13:00clearly inebriated. And when she backs into this car, she displaces the car
- 13:07like literally she's coming in and hits and the cold car moves back like it
- 13:13is a serious damage. While they were recording in the first place, I
- 13:16think it was a security system. Oh, it seems like the boyfriend is
- 13:20big on security. Will get to that in a second as well. It's
- 13:22clear that this car has been displaced. Two weeks later, she said,
- 13:28And then we find out the reason I couldn't file the claim is she provided
- 13:31me a fake insurance card. It wasn't real insurance. Two weeks later,
- 13:35she was across the street. She was laughing and taunting us and yelling and
- 13:39screaming at us and making fun of us, and my boyfriend got upset,
- 13:43went to the sidewalk yelling. I called the police. The police came out.
- 13:48She claimed my boyfriend was waving a shotgun at her. Wasn't true.
- 13:52The police came and asked if we had a gun. My boyfriend said,
- 13:54I do have a gun. It's a handgun. I have a license to
- 13:56carry that gun. And then basically the police at least told me that she
- 14:00claimed her license had been reinstated. I didn't think that was possible because of
- 14:03COVID. She They basically said she needed to you know, uh to go
- 14:09and follow another report if she had. She was upset still, So Brittany
- 14:13is suing for emotional distress because she a gum was pulled on her and her
- 14:16car was hurt. Uh and now we're ready for mathesis rulink. Uh does
- 14:22Brittany seem crazy? She tries to act normal in the cart room. She
- 14:28tries to be like very civil and normal. But yeah, what was the
- 14:31amount? Thirty five hundred for the car? For the car? Yeah,
- 14:35that's is it just for the car that was it's she hit. She has
- 14:39receipts. I don't know. They they brought pictures of the car that she
- 14:41hit and then the truck as well. Okay, so it is for both
- 14:45cars from what I understand. Okay, I mean I don't personally, I
- 14:48don't like I would throw the truck out you chase somebody. Yeah, so
- 14:54I think you take some of that responsibility. Yeah, you know what I
- 14:56mean. Um, that's not something you should do, but let's just give
- 15:01them all of it, just because of the whole situation. Matthis basically says,
- 15:05so you're suing promotional stress. She said I have a gun, and
- 15:07Matthis cuts her off and says, yeah, I think everything you said is
- 15:11a story you made up, and therefore I'm dismissing your claim. Uh Felicia
- 15:15gets every bit of the money thirty five hundred dollars. And then because of
- 15:18COVID, like People's Court is doing it online, Matthis is still doing it
- 15:22live. But the audience is spread out in like chairs and there's like circles
- 15:28around the chairs. Everybody's in masks, and they don't do the thing afterwards
- 15:31where they interview them. They just let them stay in there like at the
- 15:33podium and talk. And afterwards Brittany basically says she better tell her husband to
- 15:39leave me alone or I'm gonna kick her, and then they started to bleep
- 15:41her out. That was that was fun? Yeah, yeah, I love
- 15:45that. So we did it, Matthews. Wow, yeah, I mean,
- 15:48sure, give it, give her all of it. I mean there
- 15:50was a lot there. Yeah. Boy, I love a good I love
- 15:54a good chase. Though. Man, we'll take a quick break. We'll
- 16:00go to um a quarantine people's court. As a matter I love it,
- 16:03um, and uh we'll talk about that here on Welcome Back, everybody.
- 16:14We are the boys, we're gabbling and we're going to the people's court.
- 16:18Um. This is a COVID edition, so all of it has done via
- 16:25Yeah when yeah it does. Yeah, yeah, it's a it's a weird
- 16:29experience. It's a weird experience. Um. Judge is on a screen behind
- 16:36her desk. Okay, the bailiff is still in the studio, okay,
- 16:41swearing a man but and you know, he'll like he's just there next to
- 16:47the TV screen. And then they're those two are that the play defendant defendant
- 16:52are also behind their things, but on a screen. Um, and of
- 16:55course, um tmz guys also on a screen. Don't worry, he's still
- 17:00there. Um. So I want to introduce you. Teresa King. Okay,
- 17:04Um, she is suing for three thousand, two hundred and eighty dollars,
- 17:07which is amount that she says she's owed because of unfinished work. Um
- 17:11that she was getting done. She is suing Charlie Collier. Charlie Collier che
- 17:19uh so Teresa the situation behind this move. I'm still a little bit foggy
- 17:27on it seems as if she lived in Florida, she and her kids were
- 17:33gonna move to Alabama to live and a trailer that her family seem to have
- 17:40already owned, not her and her kids, but the family. Okay,
- 17:47so um, she's talking to her mom about it, and her mom is
- 17:51like, there's some stuff that needs to get done before you can move in.
- 17:55Some work that needs to get done. Um, call call my cousin,
- 17:57My cousin, Charlie, and he will give you the hookup. He'll
- 18:00he'll do the work. So they go, they meet up, they talk
- 18:03about the things that need to get done. According to mom, Um,
- 18:07here are the things that need to get done. Charlie says, Um,
- 18:11that's gonna cost to twenty eight hundred and I'll take it up front. Yeah,
- 18:18he will, He'll take all of it up front. So and they
- 18:19gave it up. They go to the bank and give him, give Charlie
- 18:23the money all up front. Why so Charlie then goes to the place um
- 18:30to see all the work, and he discovers early on that the sewer line
- 18:37under the trailer was busted and there is feces everywhere, and he says,
- 18:45I'm gonna be able to do a lot of the work. Uh. They
- 18:48have a contract of things that he's gonna do. Yeah, I'm unable to
- 18:52do this, this, and this until we do this to get fixed to
- 18:55sewer line. Yeah. He says that she verbally agreed giving him the okay
- 19:02to fix the sewer and she says, no, I did not do that.
- 19:06Um so um Teresa. He says that Teresa, and Teresas does say
- 19:11this accused him of breaking the pipes on purpose to get more money. Wow,
- 19:18breaking the pipes on purpose to get more money. And Uh, it's
- 19:23weird that Charlie would have done. I assume that she had to look at
- 19:27the shed the trailer to determine how much money it would cost. It's weird
- 19:33that he did it once over and he didn't find a broken well. No,
- 19:36from what I gathered, they had a list of things that needed to
- 19:40get done to him, he had seen he had not seen it wide side
- 19:44unseen twenty eight hundred. Um. So he goes to her mom because she's
- 19:49given him some difficulty about not paying for the sewer stuff, and eventually she
- 19:55agrees to send four hundred more dollars to deal with the sewer situation, just
- 20:00to kind of get mom off her back and all that stuff. But she's
- 20:03complaining about it. She's not happy about it. Um so he Um,
- 20:08he didn't want to deal with the poop. Yeah, so he shovels dirt
- 20:12down there and puts cardboard over top of it, fixed the pipes, dolls,
- 20:18does all that stuff. And Teresa says, here's the thing that there
- 20:22was nothing wrong with the pipes. I know there's nothing wrong with the pipes.
- 20:26Um. A worker removed a toilet and when they did that, that
- 20:30messed something up on the sewer, and so it was their faults. It
- 20:34was their fault that there was a sewer situation. He's like, no,
- 20:38that's just that's just not true. It was clearly a broken sewer. Ok
- 20:42so whatever? Um so uh. He brings in a witness named Lee Lee.
- 20:51Lee used to live in question, So I guess Lee's a family,
- 20:59remember like that? Okay? Um Lee says there was a sewer issue.
- 21:04Okay, I know there's a sewer issue because I couldn't afford to get the
- 21:11septic tank cleaned out. So what I did, boy, is I broke
- 21:18the sewer line so that the waist would just empty out. Oh my gosh,
- 21:26that's disgusting. What so that's what Lea did. That's that's that's what
- 21:36lead did. But how long is that a fix for? Not? I
- 21:40mean, it's filling up under the house. And Judge Million is like,
- 21:45well that's a llegal and gross. Yes, so yeah, that's good to
- 21:52know, and he leaves brings in another witness. This witness was somebody who
- 22:02worked on the job. He was the one who found out that there was
- 22:07that there was an issue underneath the house because the one on the job says,
- 22:11hey, we showed up. I quickly discovered this and Teresa's like,
- 22:15no, no, no, that's not what happened. I know what happened.
- 22:18This guy, the witness, asked me if he could use the bathroom.
- 22:25He's in there a while. It starts to smell. He took a
- 22:27number two in the in the toilet. Yeah, and then he took the
- 22:32toilet up. And that's the waist that's underneath the house. It's his waist.
- 22:37It's his problem. But like, this should be an easy either.
- 22:40There's a lot of poop down there. We don't get a good understanding of
- 22:44how much there. Yeah, they make it sound like there was a lot
- 22:48of poop, that's right. She made it sound like there was some poop
- 22:52down there, but it was it's because of him, because of you,
- 22:57my trailer yellow you. Um. So she eventually, uh, Charlie and
- 23:07his team gets some work done. Yeah, but all that's happening while she's
- 23:12dealing with the sewer situation because if if you remember, there was some stuff
- 23:17that he could not do until the sewer was fixed. So some stuff was
- 23:21done, some stuff was not. She's sick of dealing with them, so
- 23:22she fires them over a text Okay, fires them. We have the text
- 23:26message basically saying in the text message, Charlie, you're fired. No love
- 23:32lost. Um, I would like for you to give me fifteen hundred dollars
- 23:36back to twenty eight because of I still have a good amount of the work
- 23:41done. So that's what she said in text message. Forn but she's soon
- 23:45for more than that. She is and we'll get to it. Um.
- 23:48She ended up hiring someone else to do to do the job that cost her
- 23:56nine hundred and fifty dollars. Okay, everything was done perfectly, no problems
- 24:00at all okay, okay, so um, she paid twenty one hundred up
- 24:06front, she asked for fifteen hundred back. Didn't get that. We'll get
- 24:08to it in a second. Um, And it cost her another nine to
- 24:12fifty to get the job. So Charlie prays about it and decides, I'm
- 24:22going to give you five hundred dollars back, but that's only if I get
- 24:26my tools back. How does she have his tools? I guess he left
- 24:30the tools there. She fired him, okay, he would didn't come back,
- 24:34and I guess maybe they was keeping holding the tools. I don't know.
- 24:37I don't know, I don't know, okay, So maybe she didn't
- 24:41want to go back there. Because he sends the money with his aunt.
- 24:47So he pays her five hundred dollars. Okay, in an envelope. Here's
- 24:51five hundred dollars. I'm taking my tools back. Auntie picked up the tools
- 24:56it and she's like, here's the thing. Charlie didn't even do any work.
- 25:02His team did to work. Charlie took the money. Charlie's going around
- 25:06town smoking crack. He's high all the time. Thirty proof of this,
- 25:10no, okay, And now it's time for judge million to rule boy.
- 25:15I think Well's laid down the math again really quick for those of you at
- 25:19home. Yeah, so it's twenty eight hundred dollars up front, she pays
- 25:23another nine fifty thirty seven fifty. She ends up getting um five hundred dollars
- 25:30back thirty two. So I was at thirty three fifty. She's suing for
- 25:34thirty two. So maybe it's thirty two fifty. I don't know. There's
- 25:38suck it's thirty two fifty. She's suing for that amount. She's suing for
- 25:41the money she gave him she didn't get back, plus the money she paid
- 25:44to get it done. I just don't see a case for her. And
- 25:48the reason I'll see a case for hiss because she had any proof. She
- 25:52admitted that he did some work. She admitted that the underneath the house there
- 25:56was a problem, and then she admitted she hired him and they never came
- 26:00to terms on the money that she would need to have back. I just
- 26:07I don't know what her case is, especially since he gave her five hundred
- 26:11dollars back, why would he have to pay for the other. No,
- 26:15she doesn't get any money none, she's getting some money. Wow, she
- 26:19is getting four hundred and fifty dollars. Okay, okay, so the remaining
- 26:25work costs nine hundred and fifty dollars. He gave her five, gave her
- 26:29five hundred. He's gonna so she's gonna get four hundred and fifty for the
- 26:33amounts of the work that she actually had to pay for. Wow, okay,
- 26:37I can buy that soft That's what she gets. Basically, she like
- 26:41the girl. The lady wasn't very happy about it, but she's like,
- 26:44you know, it is what it is. I got some money. Yeah,
- 26:45I feel good. But Judge Millian was just like, it's just you
- 26:49know, no, both sides are. There's just a lot there. Yeah,
- 26:56this is a really messy case, really really messed up case. Yeah.
- 26:59Seven the poop seven days a better, no kidding, So we did
- 27:03it was all done over zoom right. So COVID strikes again. COVID strikes
- 27:07again. Um And I guess this whole thing also happened during UM since COVID
- 27:15because her the whole reason what she wanted to get to work done quickly was
- 27:18because her kids were about to start virtual school. Wow, so she needed
- 27:22that interesting Wow. They getting turning those quick turning them quick. So there
- 27:26it is. We did it. We did everybody was a rating and review.
- 27:30Could you do that? They're so great when you love Oh, I
- 27:33love it. And if you have a case that you want us to rule

- 27:44my loved one only wants one like a monster. Uh, like a
- 27:48monster, Dan like a monster. One tree, one tree not good enough,
