- 0:55Speaker 5: so yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 6: And also Philly and as well. You know, a lot
- 1:00Speaker 6: of things going on. You know.

- 1:03Speaker 3: it's a pleasure to have you here on the show.
- 1:06Speaker 3: And you know you said you're a Harlem and Bronx,
- 1:09Speaker 3: so you know, first, congratulations on the New York Knicks.
- 1:13Speaker 6: Winning that mid whatever.
- 1:15Speaker 3: You know, Yeah, how do you feel about that.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I mean, I'm happy.
- 1:21Speaker 5: I'm I'm always happy to see New York doing well
- 1:23Speaker 5: man in anything.
- 1:24Speaker 4: So I'm excited, you know.
- 1:27Speaker 3: But not like where it like really matters to you,
- 1:30Speaker 3: where you're like, oh my god, we just won. You're
- 1:31Speaker 3: not in the streets making noise.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Been claiming it like that. They're like, yeah, okay, it's
- 1:37Speaker 2: not the actual.
- 1:38Speaker 4: So it's mad, you know, I mad.
- 1:41Speaker 5: It's like, if you want to go down the bandits
- 1:43Speaker 5: of these new tournaments.
- 1:44Speaker 4: The Knicks is in this, so I'm happy for them.
- 1:46Speaker 6: Indeed, Yeah, all right, it's the Lakers and the Knicks, right,
- 1:49Speaker 6: that's it? Right?
- 1:50Speaker 4: No, I think who else one?
- 1:52Speaker 1: Not?
- 1:53Speaker 5: Okay, Milwaukee might have won. Yeah, I think Milwaukee might
- 1:57Speaker 5: have won. Okay, I could be wrong.
- 1:59Speaker 6: People.
- 2:00Speaker 7: Yeah all right, Well Niggers are the next are the
- 2:01Speaker 7: ones that matter?
- 2:02Speaker 6: So all right?
- 2:05Speaker 3: You know, I was watching a lot of interviews of yours,
- 2:07Speaker 3: like in preparation for this, and it seems whenever you know,
- 2:11Speaker 3: I watch an interview about your upbringing, three words come up,
- 2:15Speaker 3: hip hop, Harlem and Hammers.
- 2:20Speaker 6: Brou Hammers comes up.
- 2:27Speaker 4: I expect that.
- 2:30Speaker 7: Straight up.
- 2:30Speaker 6: Fam.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I was like, yo, you know, every it's like you know,
- 2:33Speaker 3: I click on one way on hellkay hammers. Right here comes
- 2:36Speaker 3: another one cameras, you know, camas young guns at the hammers,
- 2:43Speaker 3: and you know, you know, and we rolled around with hammers,
- 2:46Speaker 3: you know, and it's like all right, I get it.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Yeah, go ahead, my.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Life in sushi, you know, live my life in time.
- 2:54Speaker 6: You know what I mean.
- 2:55Speaker 3: You know, he's a mechanic. You know, you got to
- 2:58Speaker 3: carry some hammers, wrenches.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I was like the case of state them all day.
- 3:03Speaker 3: So the question is, how did you have time to
- 3:05Speaker 3: be a geek? You know, in between you know, all
- 3:08Speaker 3: the work you were doing with tools.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Oh man, now my geek.
- 3:12Speaker 5: So my geek career starts as a child, man, I
- 3:17Speaker 5: mean I grew up on two twenty eighth, all the
- 3:20Speaker 5: way uptown in the Bronx, and every day after school
- 3:23Speaker 5: it was this comic book store on two thirty third
- 3:26Speaker 5: that me and my friends used to go into. They
- 3:28Speaker 5: had Street Fighter in there, you know, and of course
- 3:30Speaker 5: this is man, I'm up there. I started a high school.
- 3:33Speaker 5: I mean in not high school. I started school in
- 3:35Speaker 5: the eighties, you know, elementary school in the late eighties.
- 3:37Speaker 5: So you know, after school we would go over there
- 3:39Speaker 5: and buy cards we was trading the Marble cards and
- 3:42Speaker 5: all of that, you know, and as that progressed from
- 3:44Speaker 5: Street Fight, it became street Fighter versus X Men, and
- 3:47Speaker 5: you know what I mean.
- 3:48Speaker 4: You had the movies and all of that.
- 3:50Speaker 5: So my mom's also big into got me in the
- 3:53Speaker 5: Star Wars when I was little, you know what I mean.
- 3:56Speaker 5: So my whole upbringing was about some geek stuff. But
- 3:59Speaker 5: the crazy thing about it is, you know, in the hood,
- 4:02Speaker 5: geek a nerd has this negative connotation that that means
- 4:05Speaker 5: you're soft, you know what I mean, And that's not
- 4:07Speaker 5: the case.
- 4:08Speaker 4: But I love, you know what I mean, that world.
- 4:10Speaker 5: I'm in my game room currently and I know y'all
- 4:13Speaker 5: can't see exactly what it is, but I got all
- 4:15Speaker 5: types of toys, all types of stuff I collect.
- 4:17Speaker 6: You know.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Nice, That's what's up.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Did your parents encourage you to, you know, kind of
- 4:23Speaker 2: be more in tune with the geek side of yourself.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Did they even care?
- 4:26Speaker 2: Did they even realize what you was doing of this
- 4:28Speaker 2: is all stuff you was doing just with friends.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Well, I mean depends on what we're talking about.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Like, my mom was very didn't I didn't live in
- 4:35Speaker 5: the household my dad, but my mom was very very
- 4:37Speaker 5: big on me doing anything that was positive that was
- 4:39Speaker 5: going to keep me out of trouble. So when I
- 4:42Speaker 5: was a kid, I also used to draw right. So
- 4:44Speaker 5: I would collect comic books. And as I'm collecting these
- 4:47Speaker 5: comic books, the way I would draw is I would
- 4:49Speaker 5: look at a picture and then draw it right. And
- 4:52Speaker 5: of course I'm coming up in the early nineties, so
- 4:55Speaker 5: all that graffiti era stuff, you know what I mean.
- 4:57Speaker 5: So I was always attracted to bright colors and characters
- 5:01Speaker 5: and cartoons.
- 5:03Speaker 4: You know, we come from that era.
- 5:04Speaker 5: If you ain't catching on Saturday, you couldn't watch the
- 5:07Speaker 5: rerun till the summertime. So I was up early, was
- 5:10Speaker 5: up early making sure I caught my cartoons or read
- 5:12Speaker 5: my comics. I still got every single comic I bought
- 5:15Speaker 5: from elementary school till now.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Why all of them? Yeah, well you.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Just preserved it and like you got like the boxes
- 5:21Speaker 1: or whatever for everything.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Well, I learned hoarding from my mom, you know what
- 5:24Speaker 5: I mean. So like fortunately, when I when I did
- 5:28Speaker 5: move out of my mom's crib, you know what I mean.
- 5:29Speaker 5: When I was younger, she kept a lot of my stuff,
- 5:32Speaker 5: and I didn't even know that she kept most of
- 5:33Speaker 5: the stuff. And then I started going through it and
- 5:36Speaker 5: I'm like, damn, I got some gems. Like you know,
- 5:38Speaker 5: a close friend of mine, a brother, is Rob Martman,
- 5:41Speaker 5: and I would, you know, share share with him, like.
- 5:43Speaker 4: You're Rob, I got this, I got that. I got this.
- 5:45Speaker 4: He's like, damn, you got some heat up, you know
- 5:46Speaker 4: what I mean?
- 5:47Speaker 5: Like heat So like I really take pride in like
- 5:51Speaker 5: the aspect of storytelling and and and just discovery and
- 5:56Speaker 5: as a kid, I mean I was buying everything I
- 5:59Speaker 5: could get my hands on when I was a kid.
- 6:01Speaker 5: I mean I don't have, you know, stuff that's worth
- 6:03Speaker 5: ten bands and nothing crazy like that. Yeah, but I
- 6:07Speaker 5: do have some stuff, like I got the first game
- 6:09Speaker 5: bit of course, the first Venom Superman's death. Remember when
- 6:12Speaker 5: he came back, it's like eight people or something like that.
- 6:14Speaker 5: I remember that was because you know, we also came
- 6:16Speaker 5: from the era by this is gonna be worth something.
- 6:19Speaker 4: So I remember when the Superman one came out.
- 6:21Speaker 5: I think I might have been in the fourth or
- 6:23Speaker 5: fifth grade, and a lot of my friends, like we
- 6:26Speaker 5: went to that spot on two thirty third and everybody
- 6:29Speaker 5: grabbed that drink.
- 6:30Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. I didn't even I didn't
- 6:31Speaker 4: even open it like that. You knew it had that
- 6:33Speaker 4: piece that you could peel off it.
- 6:34Speaker 5: I think I peeled it like maybe fifteen years later
- 6:37Speaker 5: or something like that. But I never even I didn't
- 6:39Speaker 5: even read it for real. I just I bought it.
- 6:41Speaker 5: But I got so many, so many things, you know,
- 6:43Speaker 5: so many games, toys, all that stuff.
- 6:47Speaker 3: That's like when they had Jim Lee X Men, when
- 6:50Speaker 3: they had the five covers for it, and all of
- 6:52Speaker 3: them were in a bag and I bought nothing.
- 6:55Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I kept him and I kept them all
- 6:57Speaker 6: the bag like I'm gonna be rich.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Yeah, you know. I got Yo.
- 7:01Speaker 5: I got the drink where uh it's X Men. I
- 7:04Speaker 5: think it's number fours with Magneto. He's like standing, everything's
- 7:08Speaker 5: tor up on him. I got that. I got the
- 7:10Speaker 5: drink with side Clops and Wolverine on the front. I
- 7:11Speaker 5: got a bunch of stuff. I wish I had have
- 7:14Speaker 5: brought my been in here so I could just pull
- 7:16Speaker 5: some stuff up.
- 7:16Speaker 4: But wow, I got a lot of stuff.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Wow.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Wow. You know that's interesting that you had such a
- 7:22Speaker 2: risk history of the comics and you know, being in
- 7:25Speaker 2: the fandom, like you know, just overall fandom and then
- 7:28Speaker 2: like your mom's helped you like preserve all that stuff
- 7:31Speaker 2: as you were getting older and getting involved in the
- 7:34Speaker 2: Two Shed. Was it something that you had to start
- 7:36Speaker 2: hiding or did you were you able to continue to
- 7:38Speaker 2: grow with it as you got older.
- 7:40Speaker 5: So one thing I'll say is, you know, even for
- 7:44Speaker 5: the Two Shed error, right, it's not something that I
- 7:47Speaker 5: take pride in. I mean, like I can honestly say, right,
- 7:50Speaker 5: and this is being I'm being dead serious, right, Like
- 7:52Speaker 5: for me, like me going outside and trying to be
- 7:56Speaker 5: in the street, was me just really trying to fit
- 7:58Speaker 5: in because I couldn't relate to any of the kind
- 8:00Speaker 5: versations Like I'm sitting around my friends and they're talking
- 8:02Speaker 5: about all this stuff and I'm sitting here like I like,
- 8:06Speaker 5: I want to go play Earthworm Gym or I want
- 8:09Speaker 5: to go watch Dragon ball Z, you know what I mean?
- 8:12Speaker 5: And for me, I didn't know what I had to
- 8:14Speaker 5: express myself. I thought I had to be a certain
- 8:17Speaker 5: person in order to fit in, so I started to
- 8:19Speaker 5: partake in things. But ultimately, this is who I am,
- 8:23Speaker 5: you know what I mean? Like, this is who I am.
- 8:24Speaker 5: I mean, even when I talk to certain people about
- 8:27Speaker 5: a lot of this stuff that I love. They be
- 8:29Speaker 5: like for real, Like I got Heath Ledger Joker tattooed
- 8:31Speaker 5: on my leg.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Yeah, like you know what I mean.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Like I really love comics and comic fandom. I remember
- 8:37Speaker 5: the first time I went to Comic Con. I couldn't
- 8:40Speaker 5: believe it. I couldn't believe that something like this had existed,
- 8:43Speaker 5: and I didn't know about it, and I didn't go
- 8:45Speaker 5: to I was around like I'm about to be forty
- 8:47Speaker 5: three this week, and I didn't go until I was like,
- 8:49Speaker 5: I think I was like twenty seven to twenty eight
- 8:50Speaker 5: first time I went, But I was just like, damn,
- 8:52Speaker 5: I didn't like I would see stuff like that on television,
- 8:55Speaker 5: like don't know how to get to it or didn't
- 8:57Speaker 5: care too much.
- 8:58Speaker 4: But listen, let me tell you something.
- 9:00Speaker 5: In the next couple of years, I'm about to be
- 9:02Speaker 5: CODs playing everything.
- 9:03Speaker 4: I'm I'm doing it all. I don't care, yo, Like
- 9:06Speaker 4: I love this stuff. Real us what's uthing?
- 9:08Speaker 2: You gotta come with us? Then you know we're there.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Every year we had a booth and everything. This past year,
- 9:13Speaker 2: I would love to this Gentleman. DJ Benjamin cosplayed at
- 9:16Speaker 2: his original character Swaggle lactus.
- 9:18Speaker 1: We have to show you that picture because he went
- 9:21Speaker 1: crazy on his stuff.
- 9:22Speaker 2: He had the three D prints galactus helmet like it
- 9:27Speaker 2: looks fire.
- 9:28Speaker 4: That's dope, that's thee.
- 9:30Speaker 3: So going back, you said that used to draw as
- 9:33Speaker 3: a kid. Who are some of your favorite artists?
- 9:36Speaker 5: I say Stanley? Of course, that's the typical, right. Me
- 9:38Speaker 5: and Stanley got the same birthday. When I found outut,
- 9:40Speaker 5: I was a static. Oh wow, I mean rest Peter Stanley,
- 9:43Speaker 5: but Jack Kirby, Tom McFarlane because I remember when, like
- 9:49Speaker 5: like when I was a kid, and I don't know
- 9:51Speaker 5: when Image came out or not, but I remember when
- 9:53Speaker 5: I found out about Image and all my friends was like, yo,
- 9:56Speaker 5: lead a Marble stuff, leading DC stuff alone.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Image. Image is crazy. I'm like what They're like, yeah, did.
- 10:01Speaker 5: They killed because I come, you know, we come from
- 10:03Speaker 5: the Mortal Kombat fatality. Yeah, they're like, yo, they're killing
- 10:07Speaker 5: people in a comic books like you could. I'm like, word,
- 10:09Speaker 5: So I start buying them joints, you know what I mean?
- 10:12Speaker 5: Like so, But but also when I was a kid,
- 10:14Speaker 5: I wasn't. So as I got older, I started to
- 10:17Speaker 5: learn more about the people who are actually doing the illustrations.
- 10:20Speaker 5: I didn't care about that when I was a kid,
- 10:22Speaker 5: like I just would I would look at stuff and
- 10:24Speaker 5: be like, oh, I want to draw this because I
- 10:25Speaker 5: like the way it looks. I didn't really like read
- 10:28Speaker 5: like who is. I didn't look at the details. I
- 10:30Speaker 5: would just read the comic and look at the details.
- 10:32Speaker 5: But I mean didn't look at the details. I wasn't
- 10:34Speaker 5: into that. I got into that as I started nerding
- 10:37Speaker 5: out when I got older.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Okay, and then just some curious what are you? Who
- 10:41Speaker 1: are your favorite? From your favorite? I mean, he pledged
- 10:43Speaker 1: you the Joker, right, So give me some villains that
- 10:45Speaker 1: you're really into.
- 10:47Speaker 5: My favorite villains? I really like mister sinister. M Oh,
- 10:52Speaker 5: why is that because he represents America?
- 10:57Speaker 6: I wonder. I gotta hear why what he is?
- 11:01Speaker 5: Because the reason why I like mister sinnis I don't
- 11:04Speaker 5: like the thing about villains is I don't like his motivations, right,
- 11:07Speaker 5: I like his actions, so I think like his actions
- 11:10Speaker 5: just draw you more into the story, right, Like him
- 11:13Speaker 5: doing all this shit he did with Jean Gray and
- 11:15Speaker 5: Sideclops very early, taking mutant jeans and all of that.
- 11:18Speaker 5: When you start thinking about our history, you'd be like
- 11:21Speaker 5: I would want to know a little bit more about
- 11:23Speaker 5: a person like that from a from a fantasy standpoint,
- 11:26Speaker 5: as far as being a comic fan, not literal, you
- 11:28Speaker 5: know what I mean.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Mister Sinister is one.
- 11:32Speaker 5: It wasn't until you know, it's crazy when Jonathan Major's
- 11:35Speaker 5: went to be King right like I got and I
- 11:38Speaker 5: went down this King wormhole. I just started to love King.
- 11:42Speaker 5: I think it was how he played he who remains
- 11:45Speaker 5: in Loki. It really got me into it because I
- 11:47Speaker 5: feel like we didn't we only got a pinch away
- 11:49Speaker 5: King was But it was like I started reading. I
- 11:52Speaker 5: bought the like the King graphic novel that just like
- 11:55Speaker 5: compiled a lot of his story, and then I just
- 11:58Speaker 5: was like, damn, like he got a really really story.
- 12:00Speaker 5: So I got I got into that. Of course, Joker
- 12:04Speaker 5: is one of my favorite villains because I just feel
- 12:07Speaker 5: like he's just as rational as Batman. He just is
- 12:10Speaker 5: ridiculous as at what he does. Joker reminds me of
- 12:13Speaker 5: Charles Manson. You ever watched a Charles Manson interview?
- 12:16Speaker 4: No, No, let me tell you something.
- 12:20Speaker 5: This sounds crazy, right, but Charles Manson will say a
- 12:24Speaker 5: thousand things that make absolutely no sense. And then he's
- 12:27Speaker 5: say one thing that makes all the sense in the world,
- 12:31Speaker 5: and it might not necessarily be about death, Like he
- 12:33Speaker 5: might say something about economy and he be like the fuck.
- 12:36Speaker 5: Like he's kind of smart. But that's that's why he reminds.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Me so much of Joker, you know what I mean.
- 12:44Speaker 5: I'm trying to think on who else I said, mister sinister,
- 12:47Speaker 5: do we considered do we consider I was a big
- 12:50Speaker 5: X Men fan?
- 12:50Speaker 4: Do we consider Magneto a villain?
- 12:53Speaker 6: No?
- 12:54Speaker 7: I mean says Magneto is right, so I can't really.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he's just has a difference of opinion, that's all.
- 13:01Speaker 2: At least in my view, he's a different And then
- 13:03Speaker 2: if not just super villains, what about superheroeseres that you
- 13:06Speaker 2: really rock with superheroes?
- 13:08Speaker 4: Oh, I tell you a villain.
- 13:10Speaker 5: I feel like he's a villain, but people do't look
- 13:11Speaker 5: at his villain feel like doctor Strange, villain Doctor Strange.
- 13:15Speaker 1: You know what?
- 13:17Speaker 5: I can see that I want to go to my superheroes.
- 13:20Speaker 5: But the reason why is because is it secret war?
- 13:23Speaker 5: When he when he erased, when Captain America used the
- 13:25Speaker 5: Infinity Gauntlet and he fucked it up right, and and
- 13:29Speaker 5: everybody was mad at him and they erased his memory
- 13:31Speaker 5: and all of that. Yeah, I mean, like that's that's
- 13:33Speaker 5: what made me. I'm like, damn you you did that the.
- 13:35Speaker 7: Cap Oh so you talked about in the book.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well in the book yeah, I mean, yeah, I said,
- 13:40Speaker 3: I think most of the illuminati in the books are
- 13:43Speaker 3: pretty doing some pretty trifling ship at that point.
- 13:46Speaker 7: So if you go down that right, yeah.
- 13:48Speaker 1: See your point.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I mean even more recently, if you look at What
- 13:50Speaker 2: If the animated series on Disney Plus, like what I was.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Saying about Marble Zombies, Marble Zombies was really.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Marble Zombies was tough, but like when you think about
- 13:59Speaker 2: like how they showed the different Doctor Strangers and the
- 14:02Speaker 2: ones that you know collapse one of his universes, and
- 14:04Speaker 2: you know.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Like that that ship is kind of why even in all.
- 14:08Speaker 2: The What's the Madness one movie the Multiverse of Madness,
- 14:12Speaker 2: like ye, in the different versions there, like I could
- 14:15Speaker 2: completely see him just straight up villain I mean, and
- 14:17Speaker 2: at the end of the day, he's mass selfish too.
- 14:19Speaker 5: So yeah, and they told him he's the biggest threat
- 14:21Speaker 5: to Everything's.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Heroes heroes let me see.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Carnage is another one of my favorite villains who But yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 5: I like Carnage a lot, even the movie did no Justice, right,
- 14:33Speaker 5: and I thought Woody Harrison natural Born Killers, like, I'm
- 14:36Speaker 5: like bro y'all gonna go for it, go for it.
- 14:38Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 14:39Speaker 5: But that shit was hilarious though it was it was
- 14:43Speaker 5: I just thought that it was like, would do more?
- 14:45Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 14:46Speaker 3: Like I know, but I didn't find it completely like
- 14:49Speaker 3: just Carnage and venom and that drink was hilarious like more, sure,
- 14:54Speaker 3: but it was comedy.
- 14:55Speaker 4: It was good.
- 14:56Speaker 5: I like Tom Hardy, right, I like his his actually
- 15:00Speaker 5: I like his uh heroes heroes. I'm big Wolverine, super
- 15:06Speaker 5: big Wolverine. Of course, my name is Wayne and my
- 15:09Speaker 5: last name is Clark, so Bruce Wayne is in there.
- 15:11Speaker 6: You know what I mean.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Of Course, my fame is not Martha is nah.
- 15:16Speaker 4: My mom name is Leader. Okay, that was crazy, right,
- 15:21Speaker 4: that'd be crazy.
- 15:21Speaker 5: My name was Martha the whole Martha lore yea one
- 15:25Speaker 5: of the more slept on heroes that I really really like,
- 15:29Speaker 5: and I think he's never gotten his just do with
- 15:31Speaker 5: side claps.
- 15:32Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 15:33Speaker 5: They made side like the move in the movie made
- 15:35Speaker 5: side claps until like like he's soft, you know what
- 15:38Speaker 5: I mean.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Here's my problem.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Okay, Ben knew I was.
- 15:42Speaker 6: I was about to say something. I just quiet.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I always felt since like X was it Fox Kids
- 15:48Speaker 2: X Men when they were showing you know, I always
- 15:52Speaker 2: thought he was a simp.
- 15:53Speaker 1: I never really fucked with him, and he always.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Bothered me every time I seen him say here come
- 15:58Speaker 2: this nigga, Scott, like that's every to.
- 16:00Speaker 1: The to the Jeffane. I always thought of that.
- 16:02Speaker 2: However, Kama, I will say, with the innovation that is
- 16:08Speaker 2: X Men ninety seven, right, and with Ben I mean
- 16:11Speaker 2: constantly yelling at me about about side colops and telling
- 16:13Speaker 2: me to read more stories about him.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I've seen the lights a little bit. I can't say
- 16:18Speaker 1: I still fuck with Scott heavy, but I don't.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I don't view him as a one note person anymore because,
- 16:23Speaker 2: like I again, and that's just from the Fox Kids era,
- 16:26Speaker 2: I always just saw like this was this guy that
- 16:28Speaker 2: was whiny and always about Jean, Jean Jean, and like, yeah,
- 16:31Speaker 2: he you know, he wasn't really out there like that.
- 16:33Speaker 1: But I understand now.
- 16:34Speaker 5: So for you why but because all right, so in
- 16:37Speaker 5: the comics he just has more. I mean, you know,
- 16:40Speaker 5: there's so many depending on what you read, there's so
- 16:42Speaker 5: many different versions of him. But I just feel like
- 16:46Speaker 5: he wasn't just like this leader that wanted to just
- 16:49Speaker 5: lead so much, right, Like he was conflicted, Like if
- 16:51Speaker 5: you even if you look at the story of course,
- 16:54Speaker 5: I'm I'm bugging out over my girl because they sent
- 16:56Speaker 5: a clone, you know what I mean. Like he'd been
- 16:59Speaker 5: through so much true relationships that I could see why
- 17:02Speaker 5: he's been messed up from the start. But I just
- 17:04Speaker 5: think his powers is just like extremely underrated. I mean,
- 17:08Speaker 5: his power is extremely underrated.
- 17:10Speaker 3: And he's as like his mind, his tactical mind all.
- 17:14Speaker 4: He's very tactical. He's very tactical.
- 17:16Speaker 1: He's more well rounded than I thought.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I said, Also, I like Spawned, but I like
- 17:20Speaker 5: Spawn from the HBO series.
- 17:22Speaker 4: That's what really got me to like Spawn.
- 17:24Speaker 5: But Spawn is not I mean, is his spawning hero
- 17:27Speaker 5: like I don't know, I mean anti hero anti hero. Yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 5: I like Venom. That's why I had the first, the
- 17:34Speaker 5: very the first Venom with the red hologram cover.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Well this is a good this is a good mix
- 17:40Speaker 1: of things.
- 17:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I also like what's my man Name? From Invincible
- 17:45Speaker 5: because I ain't. I ain't gonna lie. I'm not gonna
- 17:46Speaker 5: sit here and posed. I ain't know about Invisible till
- 17:49Speaker 5: the show came out.
- 17:51Speaker 2: People, Man, I didn't know about Visible until it came out. Yeah,
- 17:55Speaker 2: not omni man, who you messing with?
- 17:57Speaker 1: The main character?
- 17:58Speaker 5: Not other than Man? I like, what's my man name
- 18:00Speaker 5: with the one eye the the.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 18:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I like Alan because I like Alan because he
- 18:08Speaker 5: like O D Strong. But he played possible all the time, right,
- 18:11Speaker 5: but he played like he can't fight. He's like, I
- 18:13Speaker 5: can't really let him know how tough I am. I
- 18:15Speaker 5: gotta let him beat me up a little. I just
- 18:17Speaker 5: like that aspect about him because he got a lot
- 18:18Speaker 5: of character.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I'm really glad you like was pulling up
- 18:23Speaker 2: all your memories and stuff about what you like. Because
- 18:26Speaker 2: all of this is making me think about a tweet
- 18:28Speaker 2: that you posted. Okay, I don't remember you posted this,
- 18:31Speaker 2: but you wrote something that was really interesting.
- 18:32Speaker 1: We need to explain this for us.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Oh boy, my tweets is crazy sometimes.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah, you wrote, I love being black wholeheartedly, but certain
- 18:41Speaker 2: superheroes and villains need to stay white.
- 18:45Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely, Okay, you.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Are so very convinced and convicted on this.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Yes, explain that because I don't want to.
- 18:53Speaker 6: We don't know.
- 18:54Speaker 1: We were completely agree and that's fine, but.
- 18:56Speaker 4: We just listen.
- 18:58Speaker 5: This is the thing, right, Like I just stand a
- 19:00Speaker 5: certain aspect of like us having representation and all of that, right,
- 19:04Speaker 5: and I feel like with that being said, sometimes our
- 19:07Speaker 5: representation is dwindled, right, Like we see that with Iron Heart,
- 19:10Speaker 5: which I like that series, right, I thought that series good,
- 19:12Speaker 5: But we're seeing it with wonder Man. You know, we
- 19:14Speaker 5: got all this dooms Day, we all Doomsday, all dooms Day.
- 19:17Speaker 5: We see little to no promotion about wonder Man. Right,
- 19:20Speaker 5: So we do have representation. But when we start talking
- 19:23Speaker 5: about change, I do not want to see a black
- 19:25Speaker 5: professor X.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I don't so you don't want to see more professor X.
- 19:29Speaker 5: And right now I want to see because I'm just
- 19:31Speaker 5: all right, I'm just used to like I've been, really,
- 19:34Speaker 5: I've been. This is a character I've been knowing about
- 19:36Speaker 5: since my childhood.
- 19:37Speaker 6: Right.
- 19:38Speaker 5: Not to say that Lawrence Fishburn can't do a great job.
- 19:42Speaker 5: He's one of the greatest at the craft ever. But
- 19:44Speaker 5: I'm just saying, like, I like my professor X white
- 19:47Speaker 5: until I don't know, like I like my professor X White,
- 19:50Speaker 5: same way like I like my human Tors.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Michael B.
- 19:53Speaker 5: Jordan came in on that human Tors shit. We all
- 19:56Speaker 5: know how that fantastic for a movie went.
- 19:58Speaker 4: You feel that wasn't his fault. It was his fault.
- 20:01Speaker 5: But I just don't even like to like it's certain.
- 20:03Speaker 5: It's certain characters that I just don't want to see change,
- 20:06Speaker 5: Like I just certain characters I don't I don't want
- 20:08Speaker 5: to see a black I don't want to see a
- 20:10Speaker 5: black Gambit ever.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Okay, wait, but wait a minute, sound.
- 20:15Speaker 6: Like long Wayne, Like he's sounding like many people are
- 20:19Speaker 6: from New Orleans, like come on, man should be black, Like.
- 20:22Speaker 4: But listen, I love no listen.
- 20:23Speaker 5: This is the thing that's the reason why I love Gambit,
- 20:26Speaker 5: because Gambit like his his character also always added like
- 20:31Speaker 5: he was punting ten at the X factor of the
- 20:34Speaker 5: X Men, right, like he's always the person we see
- 20:36Speaker 5: X Men ninety seven, that intangible save he did you
- 20:39Speaker 5: know what I mean to save Janosha and all that shit.
- 20:41Speaker 5: I'm just saying it's like I don't care to see
- 20:44Speaker 5: not saying I don't want to.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Maybe I just don't care to see it.
- 20:48Speaker 5: Maybe I'm just so conditioned of seeing the person so
- 20:52Speaker 5: many times that I don't care to see that.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Like, Okay, I got a deep though, because okay, I
- 20:57Speaker 2: understand you saying you don't care to see that because.
- 20:59Speaker 1: You used to memory all the stuff.
- 21:03Speaker 2: But what intrinsically is the problem, For example, let's go
- 21:07Speaker 2: back to the whole professor X example, what is the
- 21:10Speaker 2: problem with that being a black man?
- 21:12Speaker 1: Do you think it's a panderin thing?
- 21:13Speaker 2: Do you think they're trying to change the essence of
- 21:15Speaker 2: the character, Like what deeper than I don't like it is?
- 21:19Speaker 5: So I think I think that that's the thing, right,
- 21:22Speaker 5: Like all right, I feel like to someone to extent,
- 21:24Speaker 5: And I'm happy that you said panderin, right because this
- 21:27Speaker 5: I don't worked in. I didn't been in the street.
- 21:29Speaker 5: I haven't been in corporate America. I hate when I
- 21:31Speaker 5: when I worked in corporate America and a white dude
- 21:34Speaker 5: at my job, a white dude called me chief Rocker.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Before this nigga called me chief rocket. He said, what's up,
- 21:40Speaker 5: Chief rock I'm like, I.
- 21:41Speaker 7: Don't even know the reference.
- 21:42Speaker 6: So I rock She rocked.
- 21:46Speaker 5: One of my favorite songs ever never I've never heard
- 21:49Speaker 5: nobody say it. That's pretty so for me, I feel
- 21:53Speaker 5: like like them doing that is some sort of level
- 21:56Speaker 5: of pandering. Now I don't I don't know the direction
- 21:58Speaker 5: that they would go because what's his name?
- 22:00Speaker 4: Said the two what's my man? Jo Esposito?
- 22:03Speaker 5: He said that, Yeah, he said that he wanted to
- 22:05Speaker 5: play his Professor X as well. Right, I just feel
- 22:09Speaker 5: I'm like, all right, listen, I'm not I'm not all
- 22:12Speaker 5: the way out of like not want to see it.
- 22:14Speaker 5: I just feel like if they do it, they're going
- 22:15Speaker 5: to try to pand that to us some sort of way,
- 22:18Speaker 5: like I don't want to see I want to see
- 22:20Speaker 5: professor Professor B, Professor X, But.
- 22:22Speaker 4: At no time do I want to hear him say
- 22:25Speaker 4: what up?
- 22:25Speaker 5: Like what's I don't never want like if he's a
- 22:28Speaker 5: black man, he'd better be a black man that grew.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Up in the burbs.
- 22:32Speaker 5: Don't let Professor X be a nigga from the projects
- 22:36Speaker 5: and he just his powers. Because that's when I feel
- 22:39Speaker 5: like they try to pander, Like yeah.
- 22:41Speaker 1: But you're saying like changing backstory, like you know what
- 22:44Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 22:45Speaker 6: I don't.
- 22:45Speaker 5: But then I did see there was a there was
- 22:47Speaker 5: a universe where all the X men were black.
- 22:51Speaker 7: Was asked, That's what I'm saying all the X.
- 22:56Speaker 4: This is what I'm saying.
- 22:57Speaker 2: No, but but a lot of this, and I'm sorry
- 23:01Speaker 2: when they do, like I said, they race, flip or whatever,
- 23:04Speaker 2: the characters, they're not necessarily I'm not saying it didn't happen,
- 23:07Speaker 2: but I'm saying, especially nowadays, they're not trying to pander.
- 23:10Speaker 2: They're literally just because there's not the inherent in the
- 23:12Speaker 2: character where they have to be white.
- 23:14Speaker 8: So there like people go ahead, my fuck, no, does
- 23:19Speaker 8: not even mention professor hurts like Nick Fury I wh I.
- 23:25Speaker 4: Had the Nick Cury cards when I was a kid.
- 23:27Speaker 5: And he was like, yes, that and nobody here did
- 23:34Speaker 5: nobody kids. But but I also believe, of course, the
- 23:37Speaker 5: the the culture wasn't as big then like as it
- 23:41Speaker 5: is now, so they got away with a few things,
- 23:43Speaker 5: like even for myself, right, like like Miles Morales. I
- 23:46Speaker 5: love mas Morales, right, I think mis Morale Now, I
- 23:49Speaker 5: really funk with Miles Morale. I messed with Miles Morales
- 23:53Speaker 5: a lot. But it's just certain things that be bugging
- 23:56Speaker 5: me out. Like so I just asked this question one time.
- 23:58Speaker 5: I'm like his dad that his dad last name not Morales. No, no,
- 24:04Speaker 5: how the help? Why is his last name Morales? If
- 24:06Speaker 5: his dad last name not Morales. Then somebody said, oh,
- 24:09Speaker 5: because his dad used to be in the street and
- 24:11Speaker 5: they ain't want his last name to haunt him or
- 24:15Speaker 5: something like that. I'm like, all right, cool, But like
- 24:17Speaker 5: I like seeing Miles Morales as a black Spider Man.
- 24:20Speaker 5: I ain't on front, like into the Spider verse, across
- 24:23Speaker 5: the Spider verse. I think that's when you could compare
- 24:26Speaker 5: that to any Spider Man movie that's ever come out. Yeah,
- 24:29Speaker 5: I mean story story wise, I just I'm curious to
- 24:32Speaker 5: see this. The thing about mouse Morales though, right when
- 24:35Speaker 5: my when they do make him, don't make him be
- 24:38Speaker 5: super duper dark skin. That's what like, I think that's
- 24:41Speaker 5: where you fumble it. No, no, no, I'm not trying to
- 24:43Speaker 5: be a colorist or nothing.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm just saying, get into that, go ahead, continue now.
- 24:47Speaker 5: I'm just saying because that's the things that they do.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Like they were saying, what's my man from Stranger Things?
- 24:50Speaker 5: They like, he want to play mas Morales. I'm like,
- 24:52Speaker 5: how Miles Morales ain't. Yeah, I'm like, he ain't. Never
- 24:55Speaker 5: mis Morales never looked like that. Then they said the
- 24:57Speaker 5: kid from Penguin. They were talking about the kid from Penguin. Yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 5: but then there's another kid. He's a rapper's son too.
- 25:09Speaker 5: I just found his page. His name is actually Myles
- 25:13Speaker 5: I think, okay, and his his mom's His dad is
- 25:17Speaker 5: black and his mom's is Puerto Rican in real life,
- 25:19Speaker 5: you know what I mean. So when I seen him,
- 25:21Speaker 5: I said, damn, he kind of looked like a Miles Morales.
- 25:24Speaker 5: But I feel like they're going to try to overdo
- 25:26Speaker 5: it or overcompensate. And and the reason why hold on tatty.
- 25:30Speaker 5: Reason why I said, I ain't tripping over the darkskin
- 25:33Speaker 5: thing because I grew up I was mad that I
- 25:35Speaker 5: was in darkskin growing up because of Michael Jordan and
- 25:37Speaker 5: Dwayne Wayne. I wanted to be like Dwayne Wayne and
- 25:40Speaker 5: Michael Jordan's and I was in dark skinned.
- 25:42Speaker 4: So I was mad growing up that I was in
- 25:43Speaker 4: dark skin. Dead ass.
- 25:44Speaker 2: I swear imaieve the chocolate versus whatever stuff along. Okay,
- 25:49Speaker 2: that's not really my na ain't focused. My first focus
- 25:51Speaker 2: was to address something you said that was very interesting
- 25:53Speaker 2: to me. You call Moms Morales the black spider Man,
- 25:58Speaker 2: that's not what he is. And I'm explain what I
- 26:00Speaker 2: mean by that, okay, and it's it's not and it's
- 26:03Speaker 2: nothing negative. This is just me just you know, commensating
- 26:07Speaker 2: the concept of saying something is the black that makes
- 26:10Speaker 2: you think that it's just that same character that you
- 26:13Speaker 2: knew Peter Parker, but with you know, black skin, right
- 26:16Speaker 2: and whatever other vactory change. Mas Morales is a character
- 26:20Speaker 2: and on and onto himself that happens to have the
- 26:23Speaker 2: powers of the Spider and whatever other universe you want
- 26:26Speaker 2: to you know, depending on what you're watching Spider Verse,
- 26:28Speaker 2: reading a book, watching and play the games whatever. Right,
- 26:31Speaker 2: just like there's like a billion Spider people right as
- 26:34Speaker 2: you've seen in the Spider Verse, right when they go
- 26:37Speaker 2: to that the Spider Society's face, right, they.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Are all they own peoples. They're not the Asians.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Excuse me, They're not the Chinese Spider man or this
- 26:45Speaker 2: Chinese Spider girl.
- 26:45Speaker 1: It's not the white understand.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Like, it's that's when and then that's Spider no noir,
- 26:50Speaker 2: and then this is this into that. So I just
- 26:52Speaker 2: wanted to make that distinction that he's his own person.
- 26:54Speaker 2: So it's so and then again this goes hand in
- 26:56Speaker 2: hand with the whole quote changing the character to be black, Like,
- 26:59Speaker 2: that's not what's happened. This is a completely unique, different
- 27:02Speaker 2: character onto themselves that has their own story.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Yes, it's a similar through line about.
- 27:06Speaker 2: They all got bit spider or got that you know
- 27:09Speaker 2: serum some way. But the point is is his own person.
- 27:12Speaker 2: So he's not black spider Man. Mas Morales is mas Morales.
- 27:16Speaker 3: It's just like John Stewart is green Lander. He's not
- 27:18Speaker 3: black green Lander.
- 27:21Speaker 4: But we know the market people.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Like if you just you just go on the street
- 27:25Speaker 2: right now, you'd be like, hey, yo, he got the green,
- 27:27Speaker 2: the green the ring.
- 27:28Speaker 1: You'd be like, all right, black Greenland.
- 27:29Speaker 4: I get like like and no no way home.
- 27:33Speaker 5: When Jamie Fox was like, man, it got to be
- 27:35Speaker 5: a black spider Man out here. He's always thought he
- 27:37Speaker 5: was black. He's like he got So I understand the market.
- 27:40Speaker 5: But you know what, let me tell both of y'all something.
- 27:42Speaker 5: I'm just talking ship. Because King was white. Kane was white.
- 27:47Speaker 7: Kane was whiter than white.
- 27:49Speaker 4: King was white as Larry Bird, well he was, he
- 27:54Speaker 4: was white. I got all the books, no black version.
- 27:57Speaker 6: Of King white.
- 28:04Speaker 1: But I think that planet you know whatever.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Also, it's because Egyptian white He's planet.
- 28:12Speaker 1: He was.
- 28:13Speaker 6: He was in the comic.
- 28:14Speaker 7: He was straight up rama in Egypt.
- 28:18Speaker 4: As a white man. Bro, he was down there ruling. Yo.
- 28:21Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 28:24Speaker 5: What they don't like her to talk, is it? Yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 5: y'all hear her shit hitty. I'm pronouncing her name her
- 28:32Speaker 5: yah hit. I seen her speak one time and I
- 28:34Speaker 5: was so blown away because she said she was talking
- 28:36Speaker 5: about black and then like at complex time and she
- 28:39Speaker 5: was like yeah, she said, they're trying to tell us
- 28:41Speaker 5: that Egypt is not black.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Meanwhile, Egypt.
- 28:43Speaker 5: He's like you go to a museum and they have
- 28:45Speaker 5: a whole place dedicated to Egypt, and then the whole
- 28:47Speaker 5: place dedicated to Africa, Like Africa not in Egypt. All
- 28:50Speaker 5: them people in there was like, oh ship, they were
- 28:54Speaker 5: shooting her like like doctor Umar at the press conference.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Bro, it was crazy, But she's really you know what
- 29:00Speaker 4: I mean.
- 29:00Speaker 5: But that's why I said I'm talking shit, because like Kane,
- 29:04Speaker 5: like I love First of all, when he when he
- 29:07Speaker 5: was in Lovecraft Country, that ship was really really dope.
- 29:11Speaker 5: And then when I seen I think what was so
- 29:14Speaker 5: was so dope about him in that role is like
- 29:18Speaker 5: you could see that as he's speaking and he think
- 29:20Speaker 5: about things, his mind go to different places. Like he
- 29:23Speaker 5: really reminded me of somebody on my block that just
- 29:25Speaker 5: bugged the funk out, you know what I mean. He'd
- 29:27Speaker 5: be saying one thing, he'd be like, yeah, but you know, yeah,
- 29:30Speaker 5: we'll blow this whole shit up, like.
- 29:32Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 29:33Speaker 5: That's what intrigued me so much about the character. But
- 29:35Speaker 5: he is basically a white character. So I'm just talking shit, and.
- 29:39Speaker 1: That's okay to talk shit.
- 29:40Speaker 2: It's just like and like I said, I do understand
- 29:42Speaker 2: like at the end of the day, from a pop
- 29:44Speaker 2: postal perspective, no one's going to go into the semantics
- 29:46Speaker 2: of it. They're just gonna see what they're gonna see
- 29:48Speaker 2: and say what they want to say. But I want
- 29:50Speaker 2: to make sure that that's not that that's understood. There
- 29:52Speaker 2: is a difference, and that that cannot be the reason
- 29:54Speaker 2: why like, oh, you just made him black, Like no.
- 29:57Speaker 1: This is a whole different character life.
- 30:00Speaker 4: But I go a lot because then let's listen, because
- 30:02Speaker 4: this is what they do.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Because if they you know, you're gonna get one ignorant
- 30:05Speaker 5: ass person that they're like, yeah, but what if Storm
- 30:07Speaker 5: was white?
- 30:08Speaker 4: Like they didn't like.
- 30:09Speaker 7: It's always black, cancer was white. That's always like the
- 30:14Speaker 7: white wolf.
- 30:15Speaker 2: You brought up a good point that wain't no since
- 30:17Speaker 2: considering you you said what you said on the tweet,
- 30:19Speaker 2: what about the inverse? Like, how do you feel when
- 30:21Speaker 2: people say ship like that about oh well, what if storm?
- 30:25Speaker 4: I don't be jacking that, Like, I don't like that.
- 30:28Speaker 5: I ain't like when it was bitching about about Chloe
- 30:31Speaker 5: be a little mermaid.
- 30:32Speaker 4: You know what I mean. But but I ain't gonna
- 30:34Speaker 4: lie to This is why what I really like about
- 30:37Speaker 4: just life and experiences.
- 30:39Speaker 5: I feel like, as long as we can make sure
- 30:41Speaker 5: that when we're telling the joke, we draw a certain line.
- 30:44Speaker 5: I'm not mad at jokes because when white people started
- 30:46Speaker 5: making the memes and putting like white people in black
- 30:50Speaker 5: movies as black people, that ship was hilarious.
- 30:54Speaker 6: It was hilarious as black panther Kendall Bro.
- 31:00Speaker 5: They put Leonardo DiCaprio as Morgan Freeman in short Shank
- 31:03Speaker 5: redempn shit bro.
- 31:06Speaker 6: Bro.
- 31:06Speaker 5: I'm like, now, I was like, yo, as a white person,
- 31:08Speaker 5: I'm like, if one of my white homies did this, I'd.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Have been crying, like, no, this is crazy.
- 31:13Speaker 6: That's that.
- 31:13Speaker 1: It is a sport like that.
- 31:17Speaker 6: Up.
- 31:18Speaker 4: That is crazy, bro, It's insane. It's really insane.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I want to also want to talk about just you
- 31:24Speaker 2: know how like we've been talking a lot about the
- 31:27Speaker 2: culture and phantom and stuff, and then like how it
- 31:30Speaker 2: also plays with the other side of your life, like
- 31:32Speaker 2: you being involved in the music business doing A and
- 31:36Speaker 2: R and everything like that, Like is there any artists
- 31:38Speaker 2: you've worked with that you were actually surprised that found
- 31:41Speaker 2: out that they were also into the fandom?
- 31:44Speaker 6: Huh?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Artists worked with or like you met or whatever where
- 31:49Speaker 1: you was like, damn you fuck with that too.
- 31:51Speaker 5: Not really artists, but like more producing producers is where
- 31:54Speaker 5: those by nature but you know what I mean. But
- 31:57Speaker 5: but mostly producers, you know, I mean, but a lot
- 32:01Speaker 5: of producers showed me like early on, like one person
- 32:04Speaker 5: I got a credit it is just Blaze, Like you know,
- 32:06Speaker 5: I worked at Rockefeller So like I remember like when
- 32:10Speaker 5: just Blaze was doing like when he was working with
- 32:12Speaker 5: EA Sports. I remember he went to Japan and he
- 32:14Speaker 5: came back and he was just telling us like he
- 32:16Speaker 5: was he would bring back toys and all this stuff,
- 32:18Speaker 5: and he wasn't afraid to show that side in front
- 32:21Speaker 5: of everybody while I'm sitting here like like, oh man,
- 32:24Speaker 5: I don't want to tell nobody like one of my OG's.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Do Are you'all familiar with set Free Seph Free Richardson?
- 32:30Speaker 4: So Sep Frey.
- 32:31Speaker 5: He he's the person that created in one mixtape, I
- 32:34Speaker 5: mean black brother from He's from Boston and Philly, right,
- 32:38Speaker 5: And I remember he has this spot called a Compound
- 32:40Speaker 5: and he has all of these different like everything that
- 32:43Speaker 5: we could think of as far as comics, the different things,
- 32:46Speaker 5: the doom dunks, all everything. I came to his spot
- 32:50Speaker 5: for the first time and when I tell you, I
- 32:52Speaker 5: was an outgrown ass man, but walking around there like
- 32:54Speaker 5: a child. He said to he pulled me to side
- 32:57Speaker 5: and say, you know you gotta come out the closet, right, No,
- 33:02Speaker 5: but for real?
- 33:03Speaker 4: But he but so him of course.
- 33:06Speaker 5: Recipes to DJ Clark Kent. That's my guy. He showed
- 33:09Speaker 5: me so much. I worked under him as well. He
- 33:13Speaker 5: showed me so much about stuff. Not so many artists,
- 33:15Speaker 5: you know what I mean, artists i'd be signing. Well,
- 33:18Speaker 5: I'm not working currently working.
- 33:20Speaker 4: For a label.
- 33:20Speaker 5: But when I was working for a label, I always
- 33:22Speaker 5: signed just dudes from the street. I gotta I got
- 33:24Speaker 5: a soft heart for people with a horrible story. So
- 33:26Speaker 5: I would just signed, like somebody got to work.
- 33:29Speaker 4: They'd be like, like.
- 33:32Speaker 5: I said, I would look, I'll go to Detroit. I
- 33:34Speaker 5: signed this one artist named baby Money. I remember I
- 33:36Speaker 5: had a free day, so I looked up like the
- 33:38Speaker 5: comic store, comic book store. It was like an hour
- 33:41Speaker 5: side of Detroit. I drove out there and I told him.
- 33:43Speaker 5: They was like, nigga, you drove out there to buy
- 33:45Speaker 5: comic books. Like they looked at me like I was
- 33:48Speaker 5: like I cut my pinky off or something, and they
- 33:50Speaker 5: couldn't believe it. I never really worked with a lot
- 33:53Speaker 5: of artists that was into you know, I mean the
- 33:55Speaker 5: coach as far as comics like that.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Yeah, he was speaking of you were speaking about Rockefeller
- 34:01Speaker 3: And I used to be up a baseline a lot
- 34:04Speaker 3: because I just.
- 34:05Speaker 5: Want to know you from Yeah, I was wondering, wonder
- 34:10Speaker 5: but I've been seeing this brother like we've passed each
- 34:12Speaker 5: other and all that events, and I'm.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Like, yo, I know him.
- 34:15Speaker 7: I just can't.
- 34:16Speaker 6: It was that baseline had to be because grew all
- 34:20Speaker 6: the time.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Yes, and like I know you worked for Seagull a
- 34:23Speaker 3: lot and one time I'll never forget bro I was
- 34:27Speaker 3: sitting in the back, you know, when they had the
- 34:29Speaker 3: whatever the system was in the back, like behind the two.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Studios, behind a room, yeah, behind the bathroom.
- 34:35Speaker 7: Right by the bathroom.
- 34:36Speaker 3: And I'm back there with Bleep first and were playing
- 34:40Speaker 3: NBA jam or something, and I'm, you know, doing well,
- 34:43Speaker 3: and then Bleak leaves and Seagull comes over bruh, and.
- 34:45Speaker 7: I just let him beat me. I'm not gonna lie
- 34:47Speaker 7: to you, like I didn't.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Know Seagull at all, you know, at the time, And
- 34:51Speaker 3: so you know, Seagull sits down, you know what I mean,
- 34:53Speaker 3: I know him from the stories and from everything else.
- 34:57Speaker 3: You know, my man starts winning, I'm just like I
- 34:59Speaker 3: didn't even go, you know, try and fight back. I'm
- 35:01Speaker 3: just gonna let him win and get up off the system.
- 35:03Speaker 3: So you know, did I make the right choice right then?
- 35:06Speaker 1: No?
- 35:06Speaker 5: I mean you should have. You should whoop people out.
- 35:09Speaker 5: I used to get them hell, because that's the thing.
- 35:12Speaker 4: Right Like like, like I told you, I'm in my
- 35:14Speaker 4: game room, Like I built this room just to play
- 35:16Speaker 4: video games in. I used to.
- 35:18Speaker 5: They could not figure out why or how I was
- 35:21Speaker 5: good at video games. But I told you I had
- 35:23Speaker 5: been going to the damn game room since I was
- 35:26Speaker 5: in elementary school, to the point where my mom all right,
- 35:30Speaker 5: so there's this game room and they used to sell
- 35:32Speaker 5: My moms told me, like they sell drugs in there.
- 35:34Speaker 5: I don't want you in there, right, I'm like, whatever, yo,
- 35:37Speaker 5: I think about this now. Like back in this time,
- 35:39Speaker 5: of course, we had no phones with navigation. Nobody knows
- 35:41Speaker 5: where you're at. I would leave school and go to
- 35:44Speaker 5: the game room right after school around four o'clock. It's
- 35:48Speaker 5: seven forty five. My mother doesn't know where I'm at.
- 35:51Speaker 5: The dudes in the game room. I was so good
- 35:53Speaker 5: in Street fright, the two They used to bet money
- 35:55Speaker 5: on other people to come in there to play against me,
- 35:57Speaker 5: like you can't beat him, and they would win. They
- 35:58Speaker 5: would win money and just keep giving me courted. All
- 36:00Speaker 5: I cared about was playing a game. So it's like
- 36:02Speaker 5: when I got the rocket fill out, manybody as what
- 36:06Speaker 5: everybody lining them up?
- 36:08Speaker 6: The Fighter I would have, you know, would have been different.
- 36:12Speaker 6: I wouldn't. It would have been you feel.
- 36:14Speaker 4: About how do you feel about the Street Fighter movie
- 36:16Speaker 4: that's coming.
- 36:17Speaker 1: I think that. I mean, I'm trying to calm them down.
- 36:21Speaker 7: Almost all of the casts is cool almost.
- 36:26Speaker 6: Who's not.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest, let's do it. The first impression
- 36:31Speaker 1: was this ship looks asked, and I'm gonna explain why
- 36:35Speaker 1: on purpose? Maybe on purpose?
- 36:37Speaker 2: Right, But I think they're still trying to tap into
- 36:40Speaker 2: the camp that was the original street Fighters, like The
- 36:43Speaker 2: Richest Fight, the movies from the nineties and stuff like that.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Like those movies knew what they were, they knew there
- 36:47Speaker 2: wasn't no top not cinema.
- 36:50Speaker 7: I think they didn't know they were trying to be talking.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Maybe had no budget, nothing, maybe, But I don't know
- 36:57Speaker 2: about aybody else, right, Like, I don't know if they
- 36:59Speaker 2: realize said the Ship was not as serious and I
- 37:01Speaker 2: don't think he even did that well back in the day.
- 37:03Speaker 2: But it became a cult classic, right, So I think
- 37:05Speaker 2: they're trying to stap into that nostalgia a.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Little bit, which is cool. But because of that, it
- 37:11Speaker 1: still gives me this look like it's something not quite right.
- 37:16Speaker 2: The casting is cool, like generally except for one fucking person,
- 37:20Speaker 2: but the casting is generally cool.
- 37:23Speaker 4: You ain't got listen by the way you talk. I
- 37:25Speaker 4: know you have no feilter. You're not about to do
- 37:27Speaker 4: this to me. Who's the one person that is well,
- 37:30Speaker 4: I don't.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I don't bring negativity onto this platform. Kay, you know
- 37:33Speaker 2: I might be upset about stuff or you know, you.
- 37:37Speaker 6: Know, I don't.
- 37:37Speaker 1: I try to keep it, you know, good in the
- 37:40Speaker 1: neighborhoods here.
- 37:41Speaker 2: So saying people's names were asked, you know, I'll say
- 37:45Speaker 2: your name on a different platform.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Okay, all that said, Like, I just it's not giving.
- 37:55Speaker 2: It's just it's it just looked like this ship is
- 37:58Speaker 2: gonna be asked and it might make some money because
- 37:59Speaker 2: there's peop certain people in it.
- 38:00Speaker 1: But you know, I'm glad they cast that ship.
- 38:05Speaker 5: He yeah, he does look like you just look ridiculous.
- 38:10Speaker 5: But that's the street fighters, all right. So you know,
- 38:14Speaker 5: so I like it only because all right, when the VANDAM.
- 38:18Speaker 5: I went to see the VANDAM when I was a kid, horrible, right,
- 38:23Speaker 5: remember when when when when when Ryu did a haduken
- 38:27Speaker 5: and Ken did a shure, you can like, it was
- 38:29Speaker 5: so bad, like he just Ken just spun around. It
- 38:32Speaker 5: was so bad, right, But I think that it's really
- 38:35Speaker 5: hard because I always wondered. Right, Like with Mortal Kombat,
- 38:37Speaker 5: they let you know the mythicism from the beginning in
- 38:40Speaker 5: street Fighter is street fighting, so it's like hard to
- 38:43Speaker 5: like grasp some sort of level of power or mythicism
- 38:47Speaker 5: into it. I think that the best depiction that I've
- 38:50Speaker 5: ever seen movie wise a street Fighter was Assassin's Fist,
- 38:54Speaker 5: the series that was.
- 38:55Speaker 4: On YouTube and then they got to deal with Machine.
- 38:58Speaker 5: Oh, was really really But what I like about it
- 39:02Speaker 5: because it's it is supposed to be this street Fighter
- 39:04Speaker 5: is supposed to be based in the nineties.
- 39:05Speaker 4: So I think like that's part of it looking how
- 39:08Speaker 4: ridiculous it looks.
- 39:09Speaker 5: But I like the idea of it, Like I like
- 39:11Speaker 5: it because it looks ridiculous, Like that's what I love
- 39:14Speaker 5: about it.
- 39:14Speaker 2: And that's and that's real, like you know, the photo
- 39:17Speaker 2: realistic versions of all of the characters like Gyles, you know,
- 39:21Speaker 2: flat Time.
- 39:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like it was a little it's a
- 39:24Speaker 5: little short to me, it's a little bit it's a
- 39:26Speaker 5: little bit shorter than it should be.
- 39:27Speaker 4: But I'll accept it because like his physique looks like intact.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Yeah that rose Man.
- 39:34Speaker 5: Did y'all ever read Have y'all ever read it? In
- 39:36Speaker 5: the street Fighter comics done by you don no.
- 39:41Speaker 6: Man?
- 39:41Speaker 5: That ship is good, Yo, It's it's really good. So
- 39:45Speaker 5: they used to sell, like the small volumes. I used
- 39:48Speaker 5: to get them from Midtown Comics and went on Lexington
- 39:51Speaker 5: and they I used to get those drinks. But then
- 39:53Speaker 5: they compile, you know how they take all of them.
- 39:55Speaker 5: The graphic novels is just compiling in the one book
- 39:58Speaker 5: I got that drinks. So I'm telling you that ship
- 40:00Speaker 5: is a great read. Okay, it's a great read.
- 40:03Speaker 1: There was anime. I feel like there was anime. There
- 40:04Speaker 1: was anime the.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Animated movie is.
- 40:08Speaker 5: I don't understand why they didn't continue, Like I would
- 40:11Speaker 5: watch I would pay a monthly subscription to watch a
- 40:14Speaker 5: show just on that anime.
- 40:17Speaker 4: It was really good.
- 40:18Speaker 2: I think it's more so like the medium for me
- 40:20Speaker 2: because I'm an animation person. So like I'm really you know,
- 40:23Speaker 2: you know, I don't know. I just I'm still on
- 40:26Speaker 2: the fence about this live actra movie. I also think,
- 40:29Speaker 2: you know, they they're still Hollywood is still chasing.
- 40:33Speaker 5: I'm looking at your shirt, Gucci Mandalorian. Yeah, that's fine, Gucci.
- 40:40Speaker 5: The Laurier is crazy.
- 40:41Speaker 4: That was me and my daughter. That's how I drink
- 40:44Speaker 4: the Mandalorian.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Oh so you're a Star Wars fan?
- 40:48Speaker 2: Yes, what's your favorite Star Wars movie film, TV, movie film, TV.
- 40:54Speaker 4: Anything movie probably Empire strikes back.
- 40:58Speaker 7: Nice film.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Well, I mean you said TV.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Tvn't really want to answer at this point.
- 41:06Speaker 4: Yeah, it's Mandalorian. Is Mandalorian.
- 41:10Speaker 6: But I did like, I do like and Or.
- 41:14Speaker 1: That's what I was looking for.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I did like because.
- 41:17Speaker 5: When Andor came from Rogue one. Right, Yes, what's crazy
- 41:21Speaker 5: is it's the anniversary. I just seen somebody post to
- 41:23Speaker 5: day that was the anniversary of of of Rogue one.
- 41:26Speaker 5: Because they showed the that's the to me, that might
- 41:28Speaker 5: be the best Darth Vader scene.
- 41:30Speaker 4: The hallway.
- 41:32Speaker 5: Oh my, I can't even tell you how many times
- 41:35Speaker 5: I wish they got a view every time I rewind
- 41:36Speaker 5: because that was incredible. That when he goes like this
- 41:40Speaker 5: and puts my man on the ceiling and then grabs
- 41:43Speaker 5: the blast and throws the blast.
- 41:45Speaker 3: When he cuts my man, he will buy and they like,
- 41:49Speaker 3: how was he beating our ass when he's started doing this.
- 41:53Speaker 5: I don't know why, but something about him doing this
- 41:56Speaker 5: revolt reminds me of a mother, like I don't.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Know, yeah, he was doing he was doing this to
- 42:03Speaker 4: the No, that is my c I you said movie T.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Yeah, TV that's it.
- 42:09Speaker 6: That's it.
- 42:09Speaker 1: I was just I was just curious, and I think
- 42:12Speaker 1: I think the answer.
- 42:13Speaker 6: No.
- 42:13Speaker 4: I love and Or.
- 42:14Speaker 5: But I think the only reason why I said Mandalorian
- 42:16Speaker 5: is because that's the only one that my daughter, I mean,
- 42:18Speaker 5: she she sat with me through the whole ship like
- 42:21Speaker 5: every week, like we was watching it together. But I
- 42:24Speaker 5: like and Or because it's a more serious take, you
- 42:26Speaker 5: know what I mean? Like that like Row one because
- 42:28Speaker 5: it's a more serious take.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Definitely.
- 42:30Speaker 4: How did y'all feel about the Obie Show?
- 42:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I say saying saying, I'm gonna keep it on
- 42:39Speaker 5: it sane.
- 42:40Speaker 6: The only one I really really like.
- 42:41Speaker 3: I like Mandalorian, you know, I thought it kind of didn't,
- 42:46Speaker 3: you know, fell off towards the end. But I'm still
- 42:47Speaker 3: for the movie. And I really like Skelton Crew. I
- 42:51Speaker 3: thought Shelton Crew people.
- 42:52Speaker 7: Slept on it.
- 42:54Speaker 4: What's the one that just came out with the girls.
- 42:56Speaker 4: I can't remember the name of that joint?
- 42:58Speaker 3: Oh and alcohol, Like I thought, act like, yeah, yeah,
- 43:01Speaker 3: I thought that was much better than people gave it.
- 43:04Speaker 7: It was good.
- 43:05Speaker 5: I don't understand they was like it needs to be canceled.
- 43:07Speaker 5: I didn't understand that. I like the story of that racism.
- 43:13Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, wrapped in the one.
- 43:15Speaker 5: I felt like that was the same thing like with
- 43:17Speaker 5: iron Heart and and I Love. I ain't gonna lie
- 43:20Speaker 5: that that Mephistal scene is not talked about as much
- 43:23Speaker 5: as you should be.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Racism crazy.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Scene is crazy. First of all, all of us not.
- 43:30Speaker 5: Questioned if Sasha Baron Corn could pull it shp off.
- 43:33Speaker 5: We all questioned it bull rat, like bullrat for real.
- 43:38Speaker 1: I didn't question it because I've seen him do some things.
- 43:40Speaker 4: Okay, I did do it.
- 43:41Speaker 7: I just don't like him that much, but I knew
- 43:43Speaker 7: he could.
- 43:43Speaker 4: Do it because but he.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Could know that ship the implications of the m c
- 43:49Speaker 2: U from that scene alone, Like I was, I was
- 43:51Speaker 2: bugged ou because I was.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Like, y'all don't understand what is happening. I don't understand
- 43:54Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 43:55Speaker 7: She just sold her soul like people are like her.
- 43:58Speaker 5: All right, so we're going to talk to Doomsday. I mean,
- 44:01Speaker 5: we have enough time to talk a little bit.
- 44:03Speaker 6: I was.
- 44:03Speaker 4: I was on a flight. I was on a flight
- 44:05Speaker 4: with the kid who plays Falcon Maggie. Maggie kid, Yeah, yo,
- 44:13Speaker 4: I didn't even know it's him.
- 44:14Speaker 5: I got on a plane and I've seen somebody with
- 44:16Speaker 5: a doomsday hat on. He on a green hat, and
- 44:19Speaker 5: I was sitting in the next row. I just went
- 44:21Speaker 5: to say what I was like, I said, what you
- 44:22Speaker 5: about to go back to set? Just fucking around because
- 44:24Speaker 5: I thought he was a production person. He looked up
- 44:26Speaker 5: and he was like, yeah, I am. He's like, you're
- 44:27Speaker 5: sitting over here. I was like, and I seen him.
- 44:29Speaker 5: I said, oh, Ship.
- 44:29Speaker 4: I was like, I just want to tell you I
- 44:32Speaker 4: messed with you. He's like, thank you.
- 44:35Speaker 1: For you.
- 44:35Speaker 4: He know, let me tell you probably nerves ship.
- 44:40Speaker 5: And basketball is the only time I want to be
- 44:42Speaker 5: a groupie because I wanted to take a picture of
- 44:46Speaker 5: his hat so bad, Like I wanted to take a
- 44:48Speaker 5: picture hat so bad, Like, yeah, none of your niggas
- 44:51Speaker 5: at New rock Stars is sitting right here.
- 44:55Speaker 7: Yeah, that's so funny.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Like I'm the same way, bro, because I've met, you know,
- 44:59Speaker 3: every rapper, every artist in the world.
- 45:01Speaker 6: You know, it's cool.
- 45:02Speaker 3: There's a few, you know I b out but not really,
- 45:05Speaker 3: but I've wild out. Like when I met Robert Rriy,
- 45:08Speaker 3: I lost my goddamn mind.
- 45:11Speaker 6: Yeah you know what I mean. Because I'm from Houston
- 45:12Speaker 6: and I'm a Lakers fan. And so Robert Rriy is just.
- 45:15Speaker 3: Like, you know everything, and when I've met you know,
- 45:19Speaker 3: nerd people, Like one time I was DJing a damn
- 45:22Speaker 3: wedding and Cimu Lou was in there and it's like
- 45:26Speaker 3: two weeks before Shane she dropped, so nobody in there, Noodle.
- 45:32Speaker 6: He was bro like crazy.
- 45:36Speaker 3: It's a path wedding, I mean pat and the only
- 45:38Speaker 3: people who knew were the people who invited him, Like
- 45:40Speaker 3: it was the groom and the bride who knew him,
- 45:43Speaker 3: and so they just invited him, you know, no one else.
- 45:46Speaker 3: Like I walk into you know, introduce the speeches, and
- 45:48Speaker 3: I'm looking at you know, the whole crowd like it
- 45:50Speaker 3: was up and I look, I'm like.
- 45:53Speaker 7: You know, almost said I know that, ain't motherfucking shady.
- 45:58Speaker 6: My tongue. And then later on I pull you know,
- 46:01Speaker 6: and he's like, yeah, yes, yes.
- 46:04Speaker 4: Me, my little my little man from my block.
- 46:07Speaker 5: He'd be working with this blog in New York and
- 46:10Speaker 5: they be doing like red carpets and all that he's seen.
- 46:12Speaker 4: He met Hugh Jackman, you know, he was like he's like, you,
- 46:15Speaker 4: what's up baby?
- 46:16Speaker 5: And he little, you know, Hugh Jackman, he was walking
- 46:19Speaker 5: stopped turned around hugged him. I was like, I said,
- 46:21Speaker 5: I said, nigga, you met huge Jackman. You you met
- 46:25Speaker 5: Wolverine bro, Like, are you crazy? Like you know what
- 46:28Speaker 5: I met Harry Lennox.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Oh, yes, the Matrix, the General on the Matrix. The
- 46:36Speaker 2: He's also been in everything else.
- 46:37Speaker 4: He's been in everything he you know, he's he's supposed
- 46:41Speaker 4: to play as Marshall man Hunter in the Snyder Verse.
- 46:44Speaker 6: Oh okay, yep, yep, yep, yep.
- 46:46Speaker 5: So my homegirl is an actor and I was on
- 46:48Speaker 5: the set of one of her a show that she's on,
- 46:51Speaker 5: and he's on there. So he sat next to me,
- 46:53Speaker 5: me and him talking. We started talking. I think he
- 46:55Speaker 5: from Chicago, and I was like, I ask you a question.
- 46:58Speaker 4: He's like yeah.
- 46:58Speaker 5: He was like, I said, were you really looking forward
- 47:00Speaker 5: to like playing Marshall Manhunter? He was like yeah, Like
- 47:03Speaker 5: I really wanted to flush it out because he's like,
- 47:05Speaker 5: I didn't understand how big the fandom of him was.
- 47:08Speaker 5: And he was like, you know, the scene just happened
- 47:10Speaker 5: because we had to do something together. But we were
- 47:12Speaker 5: talking about making it into a thing and he's like,
- 47:14Speaker 5: I really wanted to finish that. I'm like, damn, what
- 47:17Speaker 5: I mean.
- 47:17Speaker 4: So I was just happy. Anybody I meet that played
- 47:19Speaker 4: as a superhero, I'd be like, what, like, real.
- 47:23Speaker 2: I love your enthusiasm. I don't know people see this
- 47:25Speaker 2: side of you, Like, no, they don't. You don't talk
- 47:27Speaker 2: about this on your show.
- 47:28Speaker 5: So I'm just like, so I got another set where
- 47:31Speaker 5: I'm about to start, like, because what I'm learning, what
- 47:34Speaker 5: I've been learning by doing all this content stuff is
- 47:36Speaker 5: like really galvanizing the audience, building it up. You know,
- 47:39Speaker 5: I've been doing media for a minute, but I've been
- 47:41Speaker 5: hiding in playing sight because I felt like I was
- 47:44Speaker 5: doing all this stuff to preserve even a relationship or
- 47:47Speaker 5: you know, I'm not doing comic stuff, so why should
- 47:49Speaker 5: I talk about comics.
- 47:50Speaker 4: No, I'm doing.
- 47:51Speaker 5: Everything like I'm doing everything basketball, comics, sneakers, I'm doing
- 47:56Speaker 5: it all like I'm not playing those games.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Okay, So when we doing crossover episode with four on.
- 47:59Speaker 4: Nerds, listen, we're going let's make it happen. So this
- 48:04Speaker 4: is let me tell you something. This is cool.
- 48:05Speaker 5: All this is cool, But I want to see y'all
- 48:07Speaker 5: in person, right, Like, I want to kick it with
- 48:10Speaker 5: y'all in person. We grab some good eats and and
- 48:13Speaker 5: and give our theories and talk mess about all the
- 48:16Speaker 5: stuff that we think exists, because I really want to
- 48:18Speaker 5: know what y'all thought about. Like I said, like you know,
- 48:21Speaker 5: we were supposed to get this whole phase in Marvel,
- 48:23Speaker 5: and we was in. I was really into the whole
- 48:25Speaker 5: King thing. I got a whole I got so much
- 48:27Speaker 5: stuff that I thought of regarding King. And then even
- 48:31Speaker 5: with Doomsday, it's like, how are they going to pull
- 48:34Speaker 5: us off? I'm so tired of all of these like
- 48:36Speaker 5: platforms just like trying to spoil the movie for us.
- 48:39Speaker 5: Like every day it's like, Yo, the Russo Brothers showed
- 48:43Speaker 5: their White Air Force one.
- 48:44Speaker 4: It's got to mean something.
- 48:45Speaker 6: Yeah, bro, stop it.
- 48:50Speaker 4: But they because they're killing on the.
- 48:51Speaker 5: Content side, right, They're doing break ins of the breakdown
- 48:54Speaker 5: And that's the problem.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Like we don't want to like for on Earth, We've
- 48:57Speaker 3: never been about that, like we like, you know, having
- 48:59Speaker 3: an intellectual like talking about something. I'm not gonna sit
- 49:02Speaker 3: there and point out the Easter eggs and we don't
- 49:06Speaker 3: care somebody.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I know also somebody else is doing that. There's like
- 49:09Speaker 1: Channel's doing that.
- 49:10Speaker 2: We don't need to do that. We give our take
- 49:12Speaker 2: from our perspective. Two black people from he from the South,
- 49:15Speaker 2: I'm from Brooklyn. We both went to Howard like we
- 49:17Speaker 2: got on to go with about it. You understand, Like
- 49:20Speaker 2: that's how we do. So that's what I was, just like,
- 49:22Speaker 2: you are like minded people.
- 49:23Speaker 5: We need to collect Listen, I'm I don't care when
- 49:27Speaker 5: y'all tell me I need me. I'm with it, Like
- 49:29Speaker 5: I'm so with it because and I also one of
- 49:32Speaker 5: the main reasons why I like doing this is because
- 49:34Speaker 5: I want people to understand that black people we got
- 49:37Speaker 5: all types of layers to us, you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 49:39Speaker 5: there's so many layers to us. We not just y'all
- 49:42Speaker 5: see all this stuff that we're dealing with with. One
- 49:45Speaker 5: person says f the streets, and everybody's like, no more
- 49:48Speaker 5: selling drugs and destroying our community.
- 49:50Speaker 4: What are you talking about? Like we can't do.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Talking about that whole boosy thing.
- 49:53Speaker 4: But yeah, it's like so my thing.
- 49:55Speaker 5: Is is, like you know, it's so many different people
- 49:57Speaker 5: that come from an impoverish nameghborhood does not make you
- 50:01Speaker 5: a gangster. Does not mean that you have to be
- 50:02Speaker 5: a gangster be in the streets. There's tons of us
- 50:05Speaker 5: that come from you know where we come from. But
- 50:07Speaker 5: we love all of these things, and it's not enough
- 50:09Speaker 5: representation in the space for the kids to feel safe
- 50:13Speaker 5: about it, you know what I mean, because they do
- 50:15Speaker 5: feel like scrutiny. I felt the scrutiny. I want to
- 50:17Speaker 5: watch Dragon ball Z, but what they gonna say about me?
- 50:20Speaker 5: I want to watch Pokemon, but what they gonna say
- 50:22Speaker 5: about me? You know what I mean, being a teenager
- 50:24Speaker 5: when I really should have been leaning into that. So
- 50:26Speaker 5: it's like, you know, I'm happy, you know that I
- 50:28Speaker 5: got to share today on your platform because I really
- 50:31Speaker 5: enjoy doing this type of stuff.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I appreciate you, you know, just just to that point,
- 50:35Speaker 2: the last point you made before we get into the clothes,
- 50:39Speaker 2: you mentioned watching Mandalorian with your daughter, Like, what are
- 50:42Speaker 2: you doing to help encourage her creativity and help encourage
- 50:45Speaker 2: her to continue to be interested in the fandom and
- 50:48Speaker 2: everything else beyond that?
- 50:49Speaker 4: Well, I mean, she's my I have three kids, she's
- 50:52Speaker 4: the youngest out of the three.
- 50:53Speaker 5: She was the only one. Like I could not get
- 50:55Speaker 5: either of my other kids to be on it. They
- 50:57Speaker 5: not with it, Like, especially when I got two girls.
- 51:00Speaker 5: So I got a girl, a boy, and a girl.
- 51:01Speaker 5: My oldest girl. She just was into academics work, you
- 51:05Speaker 5: know what I mean, all just school. My son was
- 51:08Speaker 5: in the basketball and being outside. And my daughter, the
- 51:10Speaker 5: youngest one, she was the one that was into all
- 51:13Speaker 5: of it. So she would draw as well. And I
- 51:16Speaker 5: noticed her skill set and drawing when I was really
- 51:18Speaker 5: young because my grandmother used to. I felt bad about
- 51:21Speaker 5: not drawing because my grandmother used to tell me it
- 51:23Speaker 5: was a gift from God, and I stopped doing it.
- 51:26Speaker 5: But when I see my daughter doing it, I'm like, yo,
- 51:28Speaker 5: let's go to Michael.
- 51:29Speaker 6: Like.
- 51:29Speaker 4: She'd be like, I want to go to Michaels.
- 51:30Speaker 5: I'd be like, bye, whatever you want, like get every
- 51:33Speaker 5: day right, and you know I would take every time.
- 51:36Speaker 5: You know, it's a it's a superhero movie, it's something
- 51:38Speaker 5: in that vein Like she would sit through it with me.
- 51:40Speaker 5: My wife will too, But my wife like like, she's
- 51:43Speaker 5: not into it.
- 51:43Speaker 4: Who I am?
- 51:44Speaker 5: But my my youngest daughter. We went to a common
- 51:47Speaker 5: cond dressed to stando singlemora before.
- 51:51Speaker 4: I was a hood thanol. So I had to griseld
- 51:53Speaker 4: the hoodie on.
- 51:56Speaker 6: It.
- 51:57Speaker 4: Yeah you know what I mean.
- 51:58Speaker 6: I had tuit on yeah, ring that's fire.
- 52:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:03Speaker 5: So I mean like she The thing about it is
- 52:05Speaker 5: like she's she's thirteen, she's going to be fourteen in
- 52:08Speaker 5: a couple of months, but she is still makes some
- 52:10Speaker 5: time for me. Like if I be like, like Superman
- 52:12Speaker 5: came out, I'm like, I want to go see Superman.
- 52:13Speaker 5: She's like, all right, come on, let's go.
- 52:15Speaker 4: You know what I mean, Like she'd be with it,
- 52:16Speaker 4: you know what I mean.
- 52:17Speaker 5: Fantastic four. When Fantastic four came out, like we all
- 52:20Speaker 5: went my niece. I got to take my niece that
- 52:23Speaker 5: I had met for the first time person. That's a
- 52:24Speaker 5: whole nother story, but I took her with us. We
- 52:27Speaker 5: had a great time. Like I feel like these moments
- 52:29Speaker 5: bring families together, especially a lot of my friends that's gangsters.
- 52:32Speaker 5: I'd be like, what you're doing this weekend? You that
- 52:33Speaker 5: new Superman? This new Superman? My daughter want to go see.
- 52:35Speaker 6: It, you know what I mean.
- 52:36Speaker 4: So it's like it's then forced them into that world.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Too, you know, good dad, good dad moves.
- 52:41Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I appreciate that.
- 52:43Speaker 3: Before we do wrap up, you were talking about us
- 52:45Speaker 3: doing a collab, you know, meet in person. You know,
- 52:47Speaker 3: we could you know, also you know, maybe do a
- 52:49Speaker 3: show on the I'll do it myself network. You know
- 52:51Speaker 3: I can read. I'd like to read some maths about
- 52:53Speaker 3: you know, gaming, and you know you're not going to
- 52:55Speaker 3: make money right away. Don't think this is that type
- 52:57Speaker 3: of thing, right Listen.
- 53:00Speaker 1: It was so funny. It was so much true. I
- 53:02Speaker 1: gotta tell you, it was so much truth. The way
- 53:03Speaker 1: it happened. I'm watching you.
- 53:07Speaker 2: And off it made me so mad, like I was
- 53:11Speaker 2: watching him that he just talked about like I don't
- 53:13Speaker 2: even know the transition.
- 53:15Speaker 6: You're not gonna make money right away, all right, so
- 53:20Speaker 6: let me say.
- 53:20Speaker 4: I would say, y'all, I learned that method of madness.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Do you so yet?
- 53:23Speaker 5: This weekend I was at a friend's wetting and I
- 53:27Speaker 5: saw a metro booming and he told me to say.
- 53:29Speaker 5: He say, oh, bro, how the hell you be talking
- 53:33Speaker 5: and just transition into an ad. I'm not gonna lie.
- 53:38Speaker 5: I don't know if y'all watch it, but y'all know
- 53:39Speaker 5: about heavy spoilers.
- 53:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I know they do the same thing, yea from
- 53:44Speaker 6: heavy spoilers.
- 53:45Speaker 4: Yo. I would just be sitting there the worst, bro,
- 53:47Speaker 4: and he'd be like he'd.
- 53:49Speaker 5: Be like yeah, he'd be like, your dog got hit
- 53:51Speaker 5: so hard, just like you should hit the light button
- 53:53Speaker 5: right now.
- 53:54Speaker 4: And I'd be like, I'll be like, you know what,
- 53:56Speaker 4: like I didn't even know what it's like, and he
- 53:59Speaker 4: be He'll be something and transition into an ad.
- 54:02Speaker 5: I used to say, like, all right, cool, and what's
- 54:04Speaker 5: crazy is we bust our ass to create these platforms.
- 54:07Speaker 4: And then people are mad that I have ads. I'm like, yo,
- 54:10Speaker 4: we watch yeah, we watched.
- 54:12Speaker 5: Television all the time. Everybody got commercial. So I was like,
- 54:15Speaker 5: all right, how can I make it fun? Let me
- 54:16Speaker 5: say some sort of joke. Let yo, the Jordan Craig
- 54:19Speaker 5: ad It got so crazy. I wore a suit this
- 54:22Speaker 5: weekend and somebody's like, yo, look at Wayne and a
- 54:25Speaker 5: Jordan Craig tuxedo. IM like, but it's just my way
- 54:28Speaker 5: of like just making it fun for people, you know
- 54:30Speaker 5: what I mean. But I definitely want to figure out.
- 54:32Speaker 5: Let's let's do some stuff together for real. I definitely
- 54:35Speaker 5: want to figure this out.
- 54:36Speaker 1: That's what's up. Y'all heard it?
- 54:37Speaker 3: Fan fam?
- 54:38Speaker 1: Keep in mind, it's okay, yeah, I know, y'all.
- 54:40Speaker 4: Will let's do it all right.
- 54:42Speaker 3: Before we let you get out of here, we have
- 54:44Speaker 3: our rap segments, the rapid fire questions.
- 54:47Speaker 7: So Are you ready?
- 54:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I ain't got no choice.
- 54:52Speaker 3: That's all right. Let's see talking of war Machine.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Woman Magneto or Professor x.
- 55:03Speaker 4: Magneto lex Flue for adopted dude, doctor Doom, Star Wars,
- 55:11Speaker 4: A Star Trek, Star Wars.
- 55:13Speaker 6: What are you losing?
- 55:16Speaker 4: I love Star watching it every night with my mom's Yeah.
- 55:20Speaker 1: I'm a trader to the Star Trek your card, that's
- 55:25Speaker 1: what they tell me.
- 55:26Speaker 4: You know, I too, because that's my my moms used
- 55:34Speaker 4: to love Star Trek.
- 55:36Speaker 2: I still got the information in history, but it's just like, ah,
- 55:38Speaker 2: they're down bad right now. Okay, okay, if you could
- 55:42Speaker 2: sign a comic book character as an artist, who would
- 55:45Speaker 2: be If.
- 55:46Speaker 5: I could sign a comic book character as an artist,
- 55:53Speaker 5: who would it be?
- 55:55Speaker 4: A comic book character as an artist?
- 55:57Speaker 2: I help you because earlier you said that, you know,
- 56:00Speaker 2: you just be looking for people from the streets. So
- 56:03Speaker 2: maybe some some's not gonna be Luke Cage.
- 56:05Speaker 5: It's not gonna be Luke Cage. It's not gonna be
- 56:09Speaker 5: a cage. If I could sign somebody, you know what,
- 56:14Speaker 5: I'm pandering. I'm going dead devil.
- 56:17Speaker 4: I'm pandering.
- 56:18Speaker 6: How's that listen? Because blonde that listen?
- 56:27Speaker 5: We get we're given the blond community representation. I'm gonna
- 56:31Speaker 5: have him on a collab with Blond Fury. They used
- 56:33Speaker 5: to win on one O six Park. All the time
- 56:35Speaker 5: they're doing a collab. They knowing a collabse tape.
- 56:37Speaker 6: Do you know about the Odds Froward from Houston first Group? Yeah?

- 57:19Speaker 7: I love man?
- 57:20Speaker 5: Because see, this is why this is why we gotta
- 57:22Speaker 5: do a part two. Because we ain't talk about boring again.

- 57:31Speaker 4: I might sign Listen, I might.

- 1:01:50Speaker 3: ain't nothing like the damn cartoon.
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: What the hell is this mess?
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: Unsure was the same thing I remember, like cause I
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: was like one of the only two Hiero movies back then.
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: Fact it was not.
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: I know you, that's nobody never said he Man and
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: punished it.
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: It was a very specific like those because he meant
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: now that he Man movies that during fire, I don't
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: kill the man I love.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: He's the meal he wanted the best man. He went,

- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Like that, you know, Okay, just a couple more. If
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: you could have a theme song play when you walk
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: into a room, what would it be?
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: It would be the ship when the uh?
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: When? When? When?
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: When all the ships walking?
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: You know done.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: I used to say that march. I used to tell man.
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: I used to tell people, listen when I leave this earth,
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: not at my funeral, but when y'all reminiscent over me,
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: play that ship, play that that ship embodies streight like
- 1:02:59Speaker 5: when you that should sound like something bad about to
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: happen every time, and then they slow it down.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: Doom dum, dum.
- 1:03:18Speaker 6: Dum. Do you know.
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: Everybody that walked the powerper team, all the niggas, they
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: was not playing with nobody, nobody coming down.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: The w W E ramp to that ship and looks
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: like everybody like.
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: I see it?

- 1:03:55Speaker 5: That one and and I ain't gonna I ain't gonna
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: lie on May and and oh yeah, it's so.
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: Partner still hate that movie. She hates that movie because.
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: Man also also also Krilling and the first time he
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: died when Freezer killed him, when Freezer said you little monkey?
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: You learn what's this?
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: Did he say you a little monkey?
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: He's calling monkeys because you know the sailing. But but
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: Trilling was in the saying, but Goku begged of me.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: I love watching the Japanese dubble that ship because when
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: he screamed he that's how he turned super saying.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: He's like he's like, oh like killed my man?
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: What monkey? Yeah?
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: He was calling them. He was the Freezer used to
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: be violating the crazy man.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: White white boys been called monkey all day long, Like
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: it's not just homeboy in Avatar.
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: Okay, I still don't.
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: Think the dragon Balls dude is white.
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: Did you ever see the article about how mythology? But
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: did you ever see the article about why black men
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: black man love dragon ball Z so much? And the
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: ship was basically the shot to trauma. I swear somebody
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: wrote a whole article about this ship, like fifteen years ago.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: I read this drint like all the way through They
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: said it basically because I like how we deal with
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: trauma because people passed, the unfought, like Piccolo being the uncle,
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: the dad not being around.
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what I mean that when people die
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: like you you missed them, but you wish you could
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: still talk to them.
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: They all communicate with the with the people that passed,
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: and then one day they wishing back. It was was
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: it was, I ain't gonna lie. It was like a
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: white boy probably wrote this, but he probably.
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: Was on par mm hmm.
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: I'm talking about right.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: I'll give him half a point for that. If you
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: could have any one superpower, what would it be?
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: Damn that's a tough one because there's so many damn superpowers.
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: I don't want to live forever, so it's not gonna be.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: Nothing like that.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: I would possibly be. I would say speed, but not
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: flash Quicksilver.
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: Why not?
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: Why?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Why I'm not speed?
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: You want limits?
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: You want limits?
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: You don't want to be able to reverse time?
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: You know, I don't want to reverse time. I don't
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: want to reverse time.
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: That's too problematic.
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't want I don't want to reverse time.
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: Quick Silver. I don't know.
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: He's another one that hasn't got his all the way
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: just due, right. I hope he gets his just due
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: going in the future that MCU. But I would say
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: price speed because speed I could, I could, you can
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: still not be seen if you're you're fast enough, right,
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: you got kind of two powers in that, and then
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: if you work out enough right like that speed, well,
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: let's speed, that trajectory gives you some sort of level
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: with strength, right, so.
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that strength within that right.
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: But but he couldn't out run a bullet like that's
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: kind of creamy, right, Like he couldn't run bullets like
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: that just kind of bugged out.
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: He's faster than bullets, but cannot run. But so do
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: I want speed? I don't know. They shot him with
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: a Coban rifle.
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: What Like this Nigga's faster than bullets and he got
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: hit by bullet, Like, what are you doing?
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: That's hilarious. You know you have survived the braps segment.

- 1:07:50Speaker 5: We actually launching my first independent playlist this Wednesday, where
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: I just went out and found a bunch of artists
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: that aren't signed, people may not know about them, and
