- 0:00Speaker 1: Kine from Mark Today. Here's Ken Rosatto and good to
- 0:03Speaker 1: be with you. It's ten twenty nine on your Thursday.
- 0:06Speaker 1: And by the way, I don't know if you saw that
- 0:08Speaker 1: NBC News announced that they began laying off about one
- 0:10Speaker 1: hundred and fifty people from the news division as part
- 0:13Speaker 1: of the spinoff of MSNBC into ms now or whatever
- 0:16Speaker 1: they're going to be called. But it always makes me sick,
- 0:19Speaker 1: whether they're liberal or not. Look, I worked in the
- 0:21Speaker 1: industry for decades and I just wish well to my
- 0:24Speaker 1: colleagues and just hope they all land on their feet.
- 0:26Speaker 1: But it is time to check the phones. Right now,
- 0:28Speaker 1: it's eight hundred and three to two one zero seven
- 0:31Speaker 1: ten w O R. We go to Jay in New Jersey. Jay,
- 0:33Speaker 1: good morning to you. Hey, Ken hall arey, I'm good.
- 0:37Speaker 2: You know about the debate tonight. You know what has
- 0:41Speaker 2: to be made clear is that Zora Mamdani has openly
- 0:45Speaker 2: professed to hate America. And yes, it arises why he
- 0:51Speaker 2: wants to run for the you know, to be mayor
- 0:54Speaker 2: of New York City. And the answer is, obviously he
- 0:57Speaker 2: wants to destroy it. And I do not have faith
- 1:00Speaker 2: in Andrew Cuomo to make this to make this clear
- 1:03Speaker 2: to the people of New York City, and that saddens
- 1:06Speaker 2: me because if Zoramdani gets elected, you know, he's not
- 1:10Speaker 2: hiding what he's doing. You saw the Fox News interview,
- 1:13Speaker 2: and that's just a preview to what you're going to
- 1:15Speaker 2: see tonight.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Look, there are people on the internet, Jay, and only
- 1:17Speaker 1: because we're short of time, and i't mean to step
- 1:19Speaker 1: on you, but there are people on the internet. On
- 1:21Speaker 1: the internet, anyone could say anything, but who have said,
- 1:24Speaker 1: you know, and this is it's It sounds very anti Islam.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And I am not anti Islam here because I have
- 1:29Speaker 1: many friends who are very faithful Muslims. But there are
- 1:32Speaker 1: many who say, if you look at what happened in
- 1:34Speaker 1: all the European capitals where you had people who were
- 1:38Speaker 1: of the faith who came in and then they imposed
- 1:40Speaker 1: the faith on many of the capitals, and they're suggesting
- 1:44Speaker 1: that that's what he is. I don't believe that, but
- 1:46Speaker 1: I do believe that he comes up from a different mindset,
- 1:50Speaker 1: that he comes up with a very socialist mindset, and unfortunately,
- 1:54Speaker 1: you know, people are falling for it, and that is
- 1:57Speaker 1: not the way this country was founded. Alan Yaker's good
- 2:00Speaker 1: to you.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Yeah, hi, Ken, thanks for taking my calling. You know,
- 2:04Speaker 3: I just wanted to say I'm a registered Republican and
- 2:07Speaker 3: I follow what's going on nationally and locally, and I
- 2:10Speaker 3: really think the speaker is the Speaker Johnson is being
- 2:14Speaker 3: irresponsible by not even being in Washington. I mean, that's ridiculous.
- 2:19Speaker 3: He shouldn't be getting paid.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you this now. Let me let
- 2:23Speaker 1: me ask you this. The House did its job. They
- 2:26Speaker 1: all they needed to do was pass a continuing resolution.
- 2:29Speaker 1: That wasn't this isn't about passing a whole new budget.
- 2:31Speaker 1: They just needed a continuing resolution. The House did that,
- 2:35Speaker 1: so he did his job. And you know, listen, when
- 2:38Speaker 1: the Democrats were in power, they just did what they
- 2:40Speaker 1: wanted to do, and then if the Republicans didn't sign on,
- 2:43Speaker 1: they said screw you and they moved on. But when
- 2:46Speaker 1: the Demo, when the Republicans are in charge, the Democrats
- 2:49Speaker 1: want to still play by the rules as if they're
- 2:51Speaker 1: in charge. But sorry, it doesn't work that way. They
- 2:53Speaker 1: are not in charge anymore. And the bottom line is
- 2:56Speaker 1: House did its job. The Senate has to do its job.
- 2:59Speaker 1: And five senators of the Democrat persuasion refused to do that, Vincent.
- 3:03Speaker 1: We got about thirty seconds left, but I got to
- 3:05Speaker 1: get you on. Good Morning, Vincent in Brooklyn, Good.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Morning, ken Ken. I think when opioids are used correctly,
- 3:12Speaker 4: they have a place in medicine. I think a lot
- 3:15Speaker 4: of these severe laws that now in New York you
- 3:18Speaker 4: could only get a prescription for opioids for a seven
- 3:21Speaker 4: day prescription. So if you have terminal cancer like my
- 3:25Speaker 4: uncle did, and you depend on those drugs at end state,
- 3:29Speaker 4: in end stage cancer to relieve your pain, whether you've
- 3:32Speaker 4: got to go back to your doctor every week to
- 3:35Speaker 4: get a prescription, you're in rack and ruins from the pain.
- 3:40Speaker 4: And a lot of these people who had problems with
- 3:45Speaker 4: these drugs, they would have problems with a lot of
- 3:48Speaker 4: other drugs. They have addictive personalities, they're junkies. I had
- 3:53Speaker 4: three oral surgeries in the past year, and if it
- 3:57Speaker 4: wasn't for drugs like percocet or oxycondon that have opioids
- 4:02Speaker 4: in them, I would be up to proverbial creek because
- 4:06Speaker 4: I was in extreme pain. And once the prescription was finished,
- 4:11Speaker 4: and once the pain was gone, I stopped using it. Stop.
- 4:16Speaker 4: People have to realize it's written right on the bottle
- 4:19Speaker 4: that you're not supposed to take these drugs after a
- 4:22Speaker 4: certain period of time. You're not supposed to take them
- 4:25Speaker 4: with alcohol, and it said they're highly addictive.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, you know the one. By the way,
- 4:30Speaker 1: I should even mention there is a new drug out
- 4:32Speaker 1: that is non opioid that some doctors are giving and
- 4:35Speaker 1: I'm not just talk to your doctor about. It's called
- 4:36Speaker 1: Jernovics and it is not opioid. It doesn't make you groggy,
- 4:40Speaker 1: and it's pretty good, but it doesn't work on spinal pain,
- 4:43Speaker 1: but it does work on non spinal pain.
- 4:45Speaker 4: But talkic.
- 4:48Speaker 1: My insurance covered it because when I had I had
- 4:50Speaker 1: hernia surgery recently and it worked. But that's a good option,
- 4:54Speaker 1: but only because I gotta go to news here. We
- 4:56Speaker 1: gotta jump. I love you, you know when you call
- 4:57Speaker 1: all the time, Vincent, and I appreciate that. But instance right,
- 5:00Speaker 1: if you are non addictive, it's fine to follow the
- 5:04Speaker 1: instructions of the opioids. The problem is, I get it,
- 5:06Speaker 1: some people become addictive, But you don't look at the
- 5:10Speaker 1: person running against you and say you're a murderer when
- 5:12Speaker 1: he just simply published a study from a university sevent
- 5:16Speaker 1: ten wor when we come back. More on the New
- 5:18Speaker 1: Jersey governor's race with New Jersey political guru Micah Rasmussen
