  [SPEAKER_00]: It's just like the fact that he was still here after the team's performance the last couple years was ridiculous.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people never thought that day would come.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I always said, I'll believe it when I see it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That was a move that like, when that was kind of hinted at in years prior, it was kind of almost like, it almost seemed like a joke.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I had always advocated for him being a part of the organization.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know if he needed to be EVP or not, but that's exactly what he is.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, from a football standpoint, he's been around the organization.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has been around successful businesses.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has started successful businesses.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's nobody more passionate about making the Jaguar as a winner than Tony Bicelli.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to do a good job.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's already started doing a good job because he was part of the crew that actually hired a brilliant young offensive coach, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen is a brilliant offensive coach.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be a good head coach.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, there are responsibilities that go into being a head coach that you do not have to perform as an offensive coordinator.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Many, many responsibilities.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But as long as you don't take your foot off the gas, from an offensive play calling and understanding standpoint, think he'll be just fine.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't see him doing that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's been around coaching his whole life.

  [SPEAKER_00]: His dad had coach for a long time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he's wanted to be a head coach for a long time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They hired a GM who is truly forward thinking and is bringing up, bring over so much of the brain trust from the Rams, elevating them into new roles.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that they just have a true, like I said, forward thinking, organization now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: All of these things, a few of them told me last year, I would be shocked.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And January, February, I would have been shocked, but they did it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they actually shocked the world by trading up for Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That was an unbelievable moment.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they kept it under wraps.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Kudos to them and the Browns were keeping it under wraps.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They actually traded up for Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I think that they might actually continue to shock people as they have all off season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're going to be shockingly bad.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But for this to happen, several of these next things need to come to fruition here in twenty twenty five.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Robert Hainesy, their center who is going to start for them has got to play better than he did in twenty twenty three.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Didn't really play last year when he did play played very well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's what Liam Cohen's looking at.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully Liam Cohen can get that performance out of him again.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Anton Harris needs to win the starting job and take a step forward.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's one of the biggest things, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got to be the Jaguar starting right tackle because from a ceiling perspective and really the floor as well, he and Shuma Adoga are not in the same class at all.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And no offense to Shuma, but Anton is a talented, talented player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He needs to be on the field, but he's got to earn it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Whatever combination they have at safety has got to be competent, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eric Murray has to play similarly to how he did last year for the Texans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Opportunistic playmaking pretty reliable for the most part, and whoever else wins the job next to him, got to play decent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Jack Wars entire secondary linebackers and coverage last year, they did not play competent football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of that's on the coaching.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of those pieces that were on the field will not be on the field for the Jaguar as this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But they got to be competent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they got to just be doing their job more often than not at a reasonable level.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Travis Hunter's got to be good on both sides.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he has to be a pro bull or all pro as a rookie on both sides.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got to be good on both sides.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got to make a positive impact on both sides a lot more often than not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eventually, I mean, he needs to be a pro ball caliber player at, you know, every time I say pro ball, somebody has like a snarky comment about the pro ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eventually, he needs to be a top five player at one of those positions, or he needs to be like top ten, top fifteen at both positions, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: For the jag wars to look like they made the right decision to trade up for him, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be unbelievable.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Best prospect I scouted this year by wide margin.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The defensive line has to play how they are capable and I do not mean the Ed Drusher.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eric Armstrong's dead has to play to a level that he has shown throughout his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: didn't do it much last year when he did actually kick inside his numbers weren't bad last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think any team could have the level of injuries that Jaguars have had the last two years and leave those two seasons feeling like it's been a major success.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, even if they snuck into the playoffs in twenty twenty three, I don't think they would have been able to do anything.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have to say healthier than you have.

  [SPEAKER_00]: especially at quarterback.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now I will say, I have no questions about a healthy Trevor Lawrence in this Liam Cohen offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Walker Little, Patrick McCary, whoever is starting between Ezra Cleveland and Wyatt Milim, good to go.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I feel really good about Britain's strange and the competition behind him, Hunter Long, Johnny Munt, Quentin Morris, Patrick Herbert.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Whoever is behind Britain's strange, their primary roles are going to be blocking and to be reasonably efficient as a receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think on paper, there are ten and seven team who does have a lot of difficult games against the AFC and NFC West a lot of traveling in that regard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then inside the division, you got the Titans with a rookie quarterback, fairly talented team around him though.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the trenches can be really good for the Titans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You got the Colts, very talented team, not a good quarterback situation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you have the Texans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We all know about the Texans, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think the Jaguars, they probably do need to go like four and two in the division to get to where I think that they need to be, where they should be.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, four and two in the division means you need to go what six and

  [SPEAKER_00]: three outside of the division, or no, no, that's not right.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, six and five.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, six and five outside of the division, which I think is totally doable.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you go three and three of the division to get to ten and seven, then you're talking about going seven and four outside of the division, which they could do, but I think the better path, the more realistic path is having a better division record, and then, you know, just being a little bit above five hundred outside of the division.

  [SPEAKER_00]: making the playoffs and potentially winning a wildcard game would pretty much shock the world.
