Nick Fradiani, American Idol winner, just finished his whirlwind four-year run as Neil Diamond in the Broadway hit “A Beautiful Noise,” performing over 1,000 shows and “Sweet Caroline” more than 2,000 times. Starting as an understudy, he rose to lead the national tour, deeply connecting with Diamond’s music and legacy—especially after seeing him live as a kid. He battled vocal adaptation, learned from veteran Will Swenson, and even performed for Diamond himself in LA, nerves and all.
