- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for back to the basics and healthcare with
- 0:01Speaker 1: Balance Life Chiropractic. We have doctor Harley with us Halo
- 0:04Speaker 1: Doctor Harley, Hi John, We're going to talk about chiropractic
- 0:07Speaker 1: today because we talk about a lot of stuff, but
- 0:09Speaker 1: let's just talk about chiropractic in general. And this is
- 0:12Speaker 1: something that's kind of for anybody from as young as
- 0:15Speaker 1: like hours old, all the way up to over one hundred.
- 0:18Speaker 1: So it's chiropractic is something that's safe and good for everybody,
- 0:21Speaker 1: isn't it exactly?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a great alternative health care facility for you know,
- 0:26Speaker 2: dealing with your traditional aches, pains, you know, organ issues
- 0:30Speaker 2: like kind of the sky's the limit. I don't people
- 0:32Speaker 2: ask all the time, you know, why should I go
- 0:34Speaker 2: to the chiropractor or can chiropractic help me with X
- 0:36Speaker 2: Y Z? And I would say, of course, Yeah, Chiropractic
- 0:39Speaker 2: is a great way to help your body. And we're
- 0:42Speaker 2: not necessarily treating a specific problem. Sure, you're coming in
- 0:45Speaker 2: for neck pain, back pain, whatever, we're working on correcting
- 0:48Speaker 2: that issue, but anything and everything in your body could
- 0:51Speaker 2: be potentially helped by chiropractic.
- 0:54Speaker 1: And I know we've talked about the youngest patient. I
- 0:57Speaker 1: don't know if we've ever talked about the oldest What
- 0:58Speaker 1: was the youngest patient you've worked with?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Again? My niece who was three days old?
- 1:03Speaker 1: Three days okay? So for some reason, I think issue
- 1:05Speaker 1: was just a few hours. But do you know how
- 1:07Speaker 1: old the oldest patient is or is it not polite
- 1:10Speaker 1: to ask?
- 1:10Speaker 2: So how old are you?
- 1:11Speaker 1: I'm wondering if I'm setting a record right now.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I think the oldest patient I have is ninety ninety one, okay.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And the thing in a lot of clients in between
- 1:20Speaker 1: those ages.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Too, Right, there is a good variety of all ages
- 1:24Speaker 2: in between.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Men and women, people that are bigger, people that are smaller,
- 1:27Speaker 1: people that are very active in sports and things like that,
- 1:30Speaker 1: people that are just sedentary and don't necessarily do as much.
- 1:33Speaker 2: So it's for everybody, right, all shapes and sizes walks
- 1:36Speaker 2: the life. Yeah, everyone can benefit from chiropractic as we're
- 1:40Speaker 2: helping how your body is helping itself, how it heals.
- 1:43Speaker 2: And you know, when we don't heal very well, that's
- 1:45Speaker 2: when we don't feel very well.
- 1:47Speaker 1: And what you're doing is helping our body communicate with itself.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So if there's something pinched and there's something that's not
- 1:53Speaker 1: quite getting the signal from their brain all the way
- 1:56Speaker 1: down to your foot or wherever it is that can
- 1:57Speaker 1: cause issues.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Right you know, webviously chiropractors, we were with your back
- 2:01Speaker 2: and people like, oh, your back, spinal doctors, but that
- 2:04Speaker 2: spine is also housing our nervous system. So we really
- 2:07Speaker 2: are nervous system doctors at the same time too, because
- 2:09Speaker 2: they go hand in hand. So that adjustment is working
- 2:12Speaker 2: to you help your body move better, but it's also
- 2:15Speaker 2: helping facilitate a better nerve communication between your brain and
- 2:19Speaker 2: your body, and that better communication is going to lead
- 2:22Speaker 2: to better healing, which is going to lead to better
- 2:25Speaker 2: health overall.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Very very nice. And we're sneaking up on the holidays here,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and it's interesting because a lot of times people, you know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: right when Halloween's done, they want to jump right to Christmas.
- 2:35Speaker 1: But we've got Veterans Day coming up next week, We've
- 2:38Speaker 1: got Thanksgiving coming up. There's all kinds of things between
- 2:41Speaker 1: now and then, but this is a time of year
- 2:42Speaker 1: when people are around a bunch of other people. We're
- 2:45Speaker 1: all inside, and you get sick also just from being
- 2:48Speaker 1: around other people because we all instead of getting out
- 2:50Speaker 1: in the fresh air, we kind of get each other sick.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So that's another place chiropractic can help.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yeah, we've talked a lot about how chiropractic can help
- 2:56Speaker 2: with the immune system when it comes to colds and flu,
- 3:00Speaker 2: with allergies, sinus issues. You know. Stress is another thing
- 3:04Speaker 2: we've talked a lot about, especially going into the holiday season.
- 3:07Speaker 2: We'll talk a little bit more about stress and managing
- 3:09Speaker 2: your stress and how chiropractic can help with managing your stress.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Why are there stress things that happen during the holidays.
- 3:15Speaker 2: You know, shopping and planning and see ie food.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I am so blessed. I have to get one person, Heidi,
- 3:22Speaker 1: I gotta get and she usually and tells me this
- 3:24Speaker 1: is what I want, or a lot of the times
- 3:25Speaker 1: she's like, I don't want anything, and then she does
- 3:27Speaker 1: everyone else. But that's what she loves to do. And
- 3:29Speaker 1: I don't know if she gets stressed, because I think she.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Just loves it. I'm sure there's, like, you know, there's
- 3:33Speaker 2: some stress to it, just all of the moving parts
- 3:35Speaker 2: and pieces, because I'm kind of that way in my families.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I do most of the planning and shopping and whatnot.
- 3:41Speaker 2: But it's that way I know it gets done, yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 2: versus stressing. If it's going to get.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Done, absolutely, But if you do have stress in your life,
- 3:48Speaker 1: chiropractic can help with that as well.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and this is a great time to get in
- 3:52Speaker 2: with a chiropractor you especially if we look at using insurance,
- 3:54Speaker 2: A lot of times deductibles are met are close to
- 3:57Speaker 2: being met, so your insurance benefits you can help pick
- 4:00Speaker 2: up some of the costs of chiropractic care. You know,
- 4:02Speaker 2: you pay for those benefits, so you don't want to
- 4:04Speaker 2: lose out. Very nice.
- 4:05Speaker 1: If somebody would like to reach out to Balance Life
