- Chasing The Magic: Hey everyone, I'm Laura. And I'm Lindy. Grab your Mickey ears. It's time to chase the magic. Laura: Happy Halloween Kind of. We're still eight to week away. I know, but still. We've got stuff planned for the next two episodes. So this will be our Halloween episode. Yeah. We've got a fun couple fun games and then Yeah, that's about it. And but we're gonna jump into our well, I guess, any life updates? Any anything happening? Well, seven. We need to start getting better at like speaking in the context of like when this is coming out. That is true. Okay, so seven days. We will be leaving in a week. So excited. I am so excited. I started pulling out all my like things. I need to make sure like what travel things I have and stuff. just like I'm so excited but I'm already so sad. Like we don't even have time to like but that's what the point of the trip was. The trip was just the party. I know, I know, but you get you you know what I mean. You get there, you spend a few days there and then you get the Disney blues when you're about to leave. Yeah. We're gonna like there, blues. Like there's no in between. Like we're like we're here and now we're done. Yeah, no one commented on our last podcast, so I guess we're not doing four parks one day. Sorry guys. JK might still happen. Destiny. The destiny. Okay. But yeah. yeah, that still might happen. Next week, you get all your goodies. Yeah. I feel like And I haven't even thought about the strategy for what we're doing that night, so that's very unlike me. Well we kind of have. I mean, we know when we don't wanna do certain things. So That is true. Process of elimination. That is true, I guess. I was gonna say, I feel like if we I mean I know there's certain things we wanna ride at each park and that's why we kind of thought about doing the four parks one day challenge in the first place, but we could always just if we still want to do a park, we could like pick one. And then I guess Yeah. But what would we pick? I don't know. See? Yeah, I don't know. I'd say I mean I would say I would I th I would say Animal Kingdom just 'cause that's what we didn't do last time. Yeah, I know. And you would say Hollywood Studios 'cause that'd be your favorite. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. It's so hard. I know. And maybe we just shouldn't do it. Ha Mm. thing is Okay so my thing is is if we're gonna do it and we wanna get those lightning lanes we I thought we were gonna do lightning lanes we're not gonna do lightning lanes for we're not gonna do any of the big rides. For our challenge? Yeah that'd be hard to plan too I guess. What do you mean? That'd be hard to like if we're doing four parks one day to plan out all four rides to make sure it works out the way well I was thinking about it last night though and like really We need we just need to allot at least two hours for each park. Correct. Which I think we can do. Seven to nine. But then you have to account like Account for travel. Forty five minutes of travel, so then ten to twelve. Then one to three. See, and that's that last park is where we just get a little Yep. If you but that might be what makes it really fun too. But you were the one who was like, We don't get to enjoy it 'cause we're gonna be rushed. No, my thing is And you wanted to see a nighttime show. Right. Like we don't even get a full the full benefit of or the benefit of a full park park day. Yeah. Well, we could have changed our Mickey, we could have changed the Halloween party. I know. We could have changed our flight. It was gonna be so much more though. How why did it go up so I don't know. Have you checked again? I've been checking every day. Okay. They keep saying they keep sending me stuff like fifty nine dollar fare sale and I'm like Lies. Lies Not for Orlando. Feel like Every day is a park day. Okay, Lindy, how are we going to buy the park tickets if we don't have a job? That's what husbands are for. We won't even be here. We're essentially gonna be leaving them if we don't come back. I don't think they're gonna pay for our It's fine. It's fine. Trials and tribulations of Disney. Alright, well we'll figure it out. It'll It'll work out the way it's supposed to work. It'll work out the way it's supposed to work out. You are correct. You are correct about Chasing The Magic: It's time for making memories and dreaming like daddies. Laura: that. Alright, well let's get into it. Some big Disney news. That is I mean it's been released for a while now. It was last Wednesday or Thursday. The Believe. The ships, yeah, the crews. Yeah, last Wednesday. Yeah, last Wednesday they finally announced the Believe is happening. And It is sales December eighteenth of twenty twenty seven, so in a year, and it's sailing from Fort Lauderdale, and it has some Fun new things. And Lindy has thoughts. That's what I was supposed to do. So let's talk about what's on the ship. Like what's the can we I see where it's at in the We had Wish, Treasure, and Destiny, which I thought I thought those were the sister ships. Are you trying to figure out what the class ships exactly are? And I know we've talked about it, but I cannot remember. Magic and wonder are sisterships. Okay. Dream, it says it's larger. Okay. And then fantasy was a sistership to the dream. Okay. Wish, treasure. Destiny. I don't know how accurate this is, but I guess those are Triton class. I don't know. They're all but they're all in that same they're all considered sister ships. So I think this the adventure is gonna be the largest in the fleet. No wait. Adventure. my gosh, I'm like so many ships back. Okay. Adventure is the largest ship currently. Okay. The Believe is the fourth ship in the wish class. So it's a sister ship. Which makes a lot of sense now that I Okay. So I watch the YouTube. Mm-hmm. Showcase, whatever you want to call it. Okay, I'm gonna share my screen so we can get so we can see what's happening when we're talking about it. I feel like and I guess I don't know a lot about any of the other ships, right? We went on the wish. Mm-hmm. and now I'm finding out about the belief. Mm-hmm. So I only have those two, but like, as I was, as they were going through this stuff, I was like, this. feels exactly like the wish. Like because it's the same exact layout. I know, but like I don't know. My thing is like they're I don't know, they're choosing different themes. Correct. Right? There's gonna be different things about it for sure. Correct. Why do it? But like there were just so many things that felt very the s like even okay, so the one that stuck out to me the most was that they're doing Oakens, Oakens table. Yeah. They have the frozen restaurant, the Air Nell, whatever they call it, it on the wish. And I was like That's what I mean. I've heard a lot of people say, Yeah, but let's look at it from a business point of view, what's gonna like like as in they already have these plans kind of as in frozen selling. Frozen's always gonna sell. Yeah, but these people they're coming on this ship. I mean one of the main reasons we booked the Wish was for Frozen because Sadie was so obsessed with it at the time. But I don't know. Oaken seems a little Like Oaken's great and all, but like would I pick him specifically for a restaurant? I don't know. There's just there's so many stories. Like there's so many things that Disney can pull on. Like why? Well and I'm hoping so we don't we got the new ship too that's coming out of Japan, the imagination, and we know nothing about it besides the name. So I think a lot of people are hoping since that is a built from the ground ship that Disney has made. It hasn't been like a repurposed cruise ship or anything like that. They're hoping that that's what we're gonna see when it comes to that ship is like new stuff. Okay. Alright, so what else is on the belief? We've got let's see. Euros with the other restaurant, I guess it's still Worlds of Marble. Mm-hmm. And they bought the nineteen twenty three too. Mm-hmm. So those the nineteen twenty three looks exactly the same. And I think but I think they'll keep the nineteen twenty three Across the board. Across the board. That makes sense. Like that's just gonna be your classic Right fancy dining room. Right. this Worlds of Marvel has a different storyline, it sounds like. Okay. We we says it mentions baby Groot and Rocket. there's gonna be some hits from Guardians of the Galaxy. So that that one does sound pretty cool. Okay. but it's still I mean it's still very familiar, you know. Correct. If you've been on one of the sisterships I guess you kind of know what you're getting into. Correct. they still have the s inside out Sweets. Which you have to like it's not free food. Correct. That's extra, yeah. lame. I know, but it's fun. And there's gonna be new sweets to choose from, it sounds like. okay. But I guess all of the quick bites and stuff will be the same. Now, the entertainment looks very different. Yes. Which I'm excited about. They were talking about there's like an Encanto stage like a Broadway stage show. Yeah. Which is exciting. And then Tangled. The musical. Yes. I'm excited about that. So when are we going? booking opens October nineteenth. So with sailing starting December December of twenty seven. Twenty seven. Mhm. You think Nick would let you go on a cruise in March and then Disney World in October of twenty eight? Dude. Ha ha ha. But also If I'm gonna go on another Disney Cru if when we go on another Disney Cruise I think I'd like to try another class class. That way I don't know. I I need to do more comparison on it, but I do wanna go on a Disney cruise like and I'd go on the one out of Galveston because those are the small I think those are the older class ships anyways. But I'm looking at that. Okay, so we've got what else do we have? I wouldn't get off the ship. Well yeah. they still have the aqua mouse. They're the C notes, the piano bar will be themed differently. It's gonna be little mermaid themed. That's fun. yeah, it looks really cool. the wi the what are they c it's called the wishing well it's it's like a lounge. Okay. You get cocktails and stuff. they usually have live entertainment there too. But that's that's themed for Snow White. Mm. And it's like I said, I only have one other point of reference, but The Wish is Princess and the Frog themed. It was really cute. Actually I think The Wish is the one that's coming this summer to Galveston. Is it? I think so. Okay. they've got the haunted mansion parlor, which they already mm-hmm. Like they have the exact see that's the exact same, which I think Which think is the treasure. Right. There's been so many more ships that I like like they're pumping these things out. Yeah, they really are. Or maybe destiny. No, I think it's treasure. yeah, but I mean other than that, you know, I think the kids club is gonna be themed to look like I don't know, I think Wreck It Ralph and Vanelby make an appearance and then what are you seeing? Well this has Monsters Inc. and then Marvel and then Tangled. And then Star Wars. So I don't know. Those are all those look very similar to what we saw. Okay. Like especially the Fairy Tale Hall and the Star Wars cargo bay. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Those are the same. But the I think maybe just the general theming of the like main kids area will look a little different. Okay. State rooms. I can't remember exactly what they're doing. There's Moana State Rooms, I do know that. and Peter Pan, I think. And Peter Pan, I do remember that. And then there's something special about one of them. I don't remember what it was. It was probably the suite. Have you looked at the tower suite? Is that what it was? It's they got their inspiration for Magic Kingdom. So it's like dang it so I can go through all of these. I know, right? Well that's all of them, as you can see as we're scrolling. So it's like the chandelier looks like fireworks. Yeah, there you go. Is that it? Yeah. Okay. I think Hit View Gallery. Nope, that's the Royal Suite. I think that There it is. The tower. So you got, you know, the fire. How many people can stay in it? Could we do like two families? They've taken some inspiration. That looks jungly. Yeah. Big Thunder Mountain. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Pretty cool. It's pretty nice. my gosh. It's like just under 2,000 square feet. It's like the size of my house. Wow. On a cruise ship. Insane. Well, I definitely will not do a Like I don't think I would do this on any cruise ever again, but like just an inside, like basic like no. I'm gonna pay for the upgrade to at least have like the extended seating area or something because it was so I mean we had a f I don't think Morgan will be able to go on a cruise without a balcony. Yeah. Because that's how his first cruise was, so he doesn't know the difference. Well I've done nine. inside room. I think those are the only two I've done actually. but yeah I mean I'm with the balcony you just you at least you feel you don't feel as cramped. Right. It may not be that much bigger like the room itself but yeah I just it was too small. And I have a feel I did y'all go with the girls y'all did a just indoor yep yep and I think they have Interior rooms with like extended with the little couchy thingy. Right. That really saved us just like when it came to like trying to get ready for the day. And like we went on an excursion every day because we were on Alaskan cruise, but it really helped me trying to figure out, okay, we need to bring this today and this today and not, you know. yeah, try try doing that with I can't. Times two more people. I can't. And I we We used those like vacuum seal bags and I tried to like separate I think that was my saving grace, like separating like okay, Monday we're wearing this, Tuesday we're wearing that. Yeah. Because if I hadn't done that It would have been a mess. Way worse. Yeah. okay, well some other Disney Cruise news is that the Disney Treasure is testing new wristbands. So guess without a Disney band plus, which is what we have, right? We'll receive a wearable wristband instead of a traditional key card. So I guess they're trying to get rid of key cards in general, but Royal Caribbean was too. So Okay. They have wristbands? Yeah. So like the people who sail a lot, they had their wristbands. And we could have bought them, but I was like, I don't know if we're gonna go on a you know, Royal Caribbean again. I was like, if I can if I have any say Disney all the way. Disney Disney all the way. okay, so some more news is that the candlelight processional dining packages have are able to book. So that's always fun. The Six Ravens is officially opening at Disney Springs. What do you mean? Officially, I thought it was already open. I thought it was already open too. I don't know. I'm just telling you what the news that's from August. Okay. Chad didn't. We already knew most of this. Okay. Well, the Disney Plus news is right. Vision Quest is coming soon. in Disney's Hex, we've been seeing a lot more. I've been seeing a lot more. when does that come out? In March or June? Why that in a different language? What did you just click on? I don't know. Are you still sharing this by the way? Nope. Okay. so yeah, Disney when does hex come out? Which I kinda wanna see. I wanna it's Thanksgiving. Okay. I wanna get a better understanding of it. Okay. Only because I don't know, if if I'm what is it? It's about like There's another one that I may be getting it confused with. That's coming out on Netflix soon. the movie follows Billy Doe, a 16-year-old girl who has always felt different. Her mother Alice is extremely overprotective and Billy doesn't understand why. One day Billy accidentally unleashes magical powers she never knew she had. So it honestly reminds me of Halloween Tone. The Panda movie also. Turning red. Her mother has been hiding her magical abilities since childhood. There's an entire secret world of witches called Hex. Her family has mysterious connections to the world. And ooh, a powerful witch queen named Celeste sees Billy as a threat. Her her so it's like a mom movie, too. Billy and her mother must travel through Hex together, uncover family secret secrets, and learn to understand each other. Hmm. So The heart is that it's a mother-daughter relationship movie rather than a movie about witches. Well, of course that's what they're gonna say. But I don't know. So yeah, that's all about we have in Disney News. I wanna see that. It looks cute to me. And it doesn't look it looks like it's a movie that is more geared towards the girl's age rather than four or five, six year olds, you know? Right. Which I mean, Sadie's only seven, but still. Yeah. Yeah. So, all right. What's up with Dreamlight Valley? Anything good? We've still got the The Oogie Boogie thing. The Oogie Boogie thing. Which I'm Haunted Haunted No, there's Haunted Floating Festival. Uh-huh. Which just started last week. Mm-hmm. Which I haven't gone yet. And I've been playing a lot, but I just haven't been focusing on my characters. This one was really hard. I had to I was like I was trying so hard not to cheat and it's like I could not figure it out. but I liked it. I liked that they 'cause like they open up a house and there's like different rooms in the house and I like the way they did it. Okay. now Okay, week four of Whatever. The Oogie Boogie thing. Do I have to go back to the shenanigans? I feel like I've only done two weeks. Well, it's week four, so I guess you're gonna it says still working through an early request, no worries. Yeah, you're good. I know a little bit. I feel like I've been kept up on it, but okay. I guess it'll do Yeah. So I don't have anything in my mailbox, but I feel like I've only done two. But maybe I did the first two together since I was behind. Okay. Did you you did the smash and pumpkin thing and then what was the other one? I did the bugs and glasses? Or was that the same one? I don't remember. I know I have zero now. The dog. The ghost. yeah, yeah. Then you that was last week. Okay. Yeah. Okay. so we've got that. it says week four. I don't know how much longer maybe one more week. True Halloween maybe? Yeah. Not doing too hot on my Star Path 'cause I'm really getting my characters Yeah. Yeah I am And I'm trying to take a picture of Jack's door and it won't let me. Okay, so that was a That was a popular issue? Issue. It's not what you think it is. Well tell me what it is 'cause I You have to do the Star Path because it's a reward. You have to put it in your house like as a door, right? You have to place it in your house. Okay. And then take a picture. Got it. Yeah. I'll figure that out today. At first I was like 'cause people I don't know, you s you're scrolling through and like not paying attention. And I was like, I feel like I'm gonna need to know this. So I just went ahead and read it. trick or treat event is back. When does that start? 'Cause I haven't seen any candy. Yesterday. I was playing yesterday. Okay, we're talking about this comes out. Okay. You're doing good job. Good job. Wednesday. Okay. Yeah, so now we can go collect candy bowls and go trick-or-treating with our favorite villagers. Okay. And then that I think that I guess that was it. When did when were you able to reset an entire biome? When did that reset? I love it. Mm, I don't know. I I'm scared I'm gonna accidentally push it and then 'cause it does it take away the character houses too? It that wasn't one of the prompts that said paths, fences, greenery, whatever that's a foliage, furniture. it didn't say it prompts you as to what you want to get rid of. Okay. Got it. Well that's Helpful. Yeah. Yeah. That's definitely a c a good quality of work. What was I I was doing something in the Honey Glow Woods and I like, there's too much stuff in here. I must have put this down for something and you know, I was like, I want to get rid of it and get rid of it. So Yeah. It. People still a lot of buzz about the keepsake seat. Which we get next week. What? The we get the the showcase. The showcase. Yes. I was like, What? No, we don't get the actual thing, but I'm excited for the showcase. Mm-hmm. Soup's excited. Yes. I need to I wish they would have linked the be on their Facebook page, right? Usually they do a YouTube mmm YouTube stream. I'm I'm subscribed to the D mmm I don't know. there it is. Okay. So now I will get a notification. I'm going to tell it to remind me What time does it usually it's usually in the evening, right? this says twelve PM Central. I have a job, so I mean I don't we don't necessarily need to watch it live but Yeah. Okay, that's that's it. All right. Well we got a little game for our Halloween episode. It's called Trick or Treat. Mm-hmm. And so we get to pick which one is our favorite. I don't know what the trigger treat is. And it's gonna be different things from Disney. So our first one is Haunted Mansion or Tower of Terror. And you pick And I can I pick? Yeah, we can pick at the same time. So you just tell me which one you I see. I see. Okay. on my voice. I'm wondering if wait Well you have to scroll down a little bit more. Scroll down. I'm here. But I it's I think it's just formatted differently. probably. Because it see how it's like those up. Anyway. Okay. what's worse? Haunted Mansion. I'm gonna say Tower of Terror. As much as as much as like as the anticipation ooh, it says disagreement. Time for a debate. Well I was about to say, as much as the anticipation of that drop come like, but I love it. I love it. And I could leave Haunted Mansion if it was up to me. Hot take. I know, right? It's one of my favorites. I know it is. Alright. Hocus pocus or Halloween town. think I'm gonna say Halloween Town too. Yeah. You agree. We know. Probably in the minority on that one, but yeah, probably. Yeah. this is something we can't we can't really decide on because we've never been to Oogie Boogie Bash. Yep. Well, Mickey's not so scary Halloween party off of what we know. But I still think Disney one's better. Yeah. I mean there's there's I'm sure there's some things that like who knows? 'Cause they have Disneyland has a Christmas party too, don't they? Mm-hmm. And their haunted mansion gets a gets a nightmare before Christmas layover starting in Halloween. Okay. So it's completely different. Mm. So I would love to go see that at some point. Yeah. but yeah, not I don't know, I've heard people say they like the the holidays at Disneyland better. Okay. see like we might yeah, we might like the Christmas part of that than we liked to Disneyland. I mean, but always Disneyland doesn't feel as Ever feel as crowded I guess. Just because it's more locals and most tourists. Alright, our next one is Ursula and the Maleficent. I'm gonna go Maleficent. Which villain is more iconic? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, I'd agree with that. Mm-hmm. I don't even know why Ursula is a. All right. Which movie has the better spooky season atmosphere? Nightmare before Christmas or Coco? I've never seen The Nightmare Before Christmas. What? So I mean I don't like it, but I've seen it. I'm gonna have to pick cocoa. my gosh, there are definitely people screaming at you. I'm sure there are and y'all can keep screaming. I mean, nightmare before Christmas, even though I don't like it. Lame. All right. Ooh, which witchy crew would you join? The Sanderson Sisters or the Cromwell Witches? Well I mean that kind of goes with our choice of movie, does it not? I mean, yeah, for me, I would stick with that one. Yeah. Same. I feel like I would get along better with them. Yep. The Mickey's Boo To You Parade or the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular. So the stage show or the parade? I think parade. I they're both fantastic, but I think I might have to go parade too. But that one's kind of like a That one's a hard one. That's a tough choice. Yeah. the hitchhiking ghosts or the hat box ghost. Who is the better haunted mansion icon? I think this also depends, like I'm gonna pick Hitchhiking Ghost because Hat Box Ghost didn't come to Disney World until a couple of years ago. So Yeah. The hitchhiking ghost to me, mm-hmm, you know, but that's just me. That's what I would say too. I have more of like a memory with them, I guess. Okay, who has the best villainous fashion? Isma or Cruella de Ville? Cruella. She's known for fashion, so that's true. I guess more than I'm gonna pick Isma. She just wears the same purple dress the whole time. But it just feels more villainy. I saw a reel of someone that did Kronk and Isma for New York Comic Con, I believe it was. They shortened it. But they had the whole thing and it was the jungle version. Like so sh so he had this like pack of thing that they had geared up and she like was able to get into it and take a walk. And I was like, that is dedication. Like the Comic Con people are dedicated though. It was amazing. Okay. Okay. Who would host the better Halloween bash? Jack's Gellington or Oogie Boogie? Okay, I'm gonna take Sadie's answer. Oogie Boogie for V That's probably what I'd say too. Okay. But that's not so I don't know, that's a weird question. Like, I guess I'm thinking what the parks do, which is the Oogie Boogie Bat. So he is like the figurehead of that one. But it's Nikki for Right, but I think it's just asking in general based on that movie. All right. which seasonal treats are superior? Halloween snacks or Christmas snacks? with all the Christmas stuff. I'm gonna go with Halloween. I remember that popcorn that was really that well yeah but they have it for Christma for Halloween too. Yeah. What did we eat? But I wanna pick Halloween. Yeah. That's just Okay. Final round. Which experience would you wait longer for? A villain meet and greet or a rare character meet and greet? Like I'm not waiting for Jack and Sally. No. Ever. No. Mm mm. So would you consider them rare characters? That's considered a rare character. But I it's like you said. Because they're not out all the time. Yeah. Right? They're not they're only out during Halloween. Or the during the Christ or during the Are they out during Christmas? Yeah, they're only during the the Halloween party. What yeah, like I said, it depends. I think I would pick villain. Yeah, probably villain. Alright. Because what other rare characters? I mean five or another. we had to start over. Okay.
