- 1:11Speaker 1: Does does it feel like twenty years?
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yes? I would say forty.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 1: That's another way in which I feel like comedy and
- 1:26Speaker 1: radio overlap. That's like, oh, you've been in radio like
- 1:29Speaker 1: twenty five years. Does it feel like it feels like fifty?
- 1:31Speaker 1: So yeah?
- 1:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. Roger, Well, that's great.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I am We are very happy to have you in
- 1:39Speaker 1: Texas celebrating twenty years of doing comedy and you're doing
- 1:41Speaker 1: so at the Addison Improv when and how and all that.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I will give us all the info Thursday, so in
- 1:48Speaker 2: a couple of days at the Addison Improv. Addison Improv
- 1:51Speaker 2: on their website, tickets are still available and shows at
- 1:55Speaker 2: seven I believe seven doors at seven shows seven thirty
- 1:58Speaker 2: something like that.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Standing and yeah, are you doing just North Texas, like
- 2:05Speaker 1: just the Addison Improv or are you doing a little
- 2:07Speaker 1: mini Texas tour?
- 2:09Speaker 2: I'm doing Houston on Wednesday?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Gotcha?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Okay?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So I was in Phoenix this weekend,
- 2:14Speaker 2: took a red eye here, doing Houston Wednesday and then
- 2:16Speaker 2: Addison on Thursday.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Very cool. All right, So ticket info for the in
- 2:20Speaker 1: for the Addison Improv go to improv dot com. I
- 2:27Speaker 1: recently was in Texas as well. So now you and
- 2:30Speaker 1: I have this in common. We're turning back to the
- 2:33Speaker 1: to our to our roots, going back to Texas. What
- 2:36Speaker 1: are your Texas must have Because you've been living in
- 2:39Speaker 1: California now for a very long time, so you know
- 2:41Speaker 1: you're coming back home to Dallas. What are the things
- 2:43Speaker 1: you have to have when you come back to Texas backyard?
- 2:55Speaker 1: It really is the little things. Man. I'm actually with
- 2:57Speaker 1: you because because.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I think green arrows to turn left.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, those are nice.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Where are you gonna say?
- 3:06Speaker 1: I was just gonna say, because it's it's interestingly enough.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I I appreciate being able to go for walks when
- 3:13Speaker 1: I come back to Texas. I mean, depending on the
- 3:16Speaker 1: height of the sun at the moment, because the ground
- 3:20Speaker 1: is for the most part flat, and then we could
- 3:22Speaker 1: take our dog for a walk and enjoy that. Where
- 3:24Speaker 1: I live, it's very hilly, and it's I don't sometimes
- 3:26Speaker 1: I just want to go for a stroll, not a hike. Yeah,
- 3:30Speaker 1: so California, though, you don't have that to worry about.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But like food and things, are there any food items?
- 3:35Speaker 1: Like when you get back to Texas, are you thinking,
- 3:37Speaker 1: my god, I'd murder for a beaver nugget? Or I
- 3:40Speaker 1: really need, you know, some d Q whatever California doesn't.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Have I do. I do waffle house every time I'm
- 3:47Speaker 2: in town. It's like a muss. Yeah, I have to
- 3:51Speaker 2: at least at least that's the garland. You can't take
- 3:55Speaker 2: it out. You can't take it out.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Still, I'm surprised California does have waffle house.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I know, I know, I mean, I'm not actually there's
- 4:05Speaker 2: not a lot of gluten free vegan options at the
- 4:07Speaker 2: waffle house.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Well, California is big. They don't have to have it,
- 4:11Speaker 1: you know in the HOLLI at the Hollywood waffle House,
- 4:15Speaker 1: which be which.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It would make so much Yeah, if you open a
- 4:18Speaker 2: waffle house in Hollywood, it would make so much money.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I just yeah, yeah, but can it be right Hollywood Boulevard? Yeah, yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 2: we could do that.
- 4:32Speaker 1: So I know when we were in town, uh we
- 4:35Speaker 1: uh we hit water Burger. We uh we knocked over
- 4:39Speaker 1: Fuzzies tacos a couple of times.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Fuzzies I'm doing for lunch today.
- 4:43Speaker 1: There you go. Yeah yeah, partly partly, partly for the
- 4:46Speaker 1: food and partly because we needed a new cup.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 1: The it is because it's like other people really will
- 4:57Speaker 1: have like they will fixate on certain things that they want.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Waterburger seems to be a big, a big one for
- 5:02Speaker 1: Texans and think about like, Okay, I got I gotta
- 5:04Speaker 1: go to Waburger, or you know, I need a basket
- 5:06Speaker 1: of steak fingers from Dairy Queen or a blizzard. Keeping
- 5:09Speaker 1: in mind, I've only been to California a couple of times,
- 5:11Speaker 1: but I have not explored the chain restaurant cuisine and
- 5:15Speaker 1: compared it to North Texas. I mean, I know, you know,
- 5:18Speaker 1: LA has its certain things, but I mean, you know,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I we love, we love when when we're from Texas.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I love the I love getting text mes when I'm
- 5:27Speaker 2: back here because it's really kind of hard, yeah, Raj.
- 5:30Speaker 2: You know, it's like there'll be like one or two
- 5:32Speaker 2: places that kind of do it, but like it's just
- 5:34Speaker 2: it's still a little healthy.
- 5:36Speaker 4: And I love coming and I think there's one in
- 5:38Speaker 4: North Hollywood and then Rick yeah yeah, no Hollywood, yeah yeah.
- 5:43Speaker 2: But then here it's just like, oh, I just love everywhere. Yeah,
- 5:47Speaker 2: I love it.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah. I guess to me, the big indicator of text
- 5:51Speaker 1: mechs is whether or not it's covered in qeso.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Okay, so yeah, it's got to like hurt like a
- 5:56Speaker 2: little bit here when you're done, m h and.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Case is hard to find in La. They'll just bring
- 6:01Speaker 3: you a bowl of cheese.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah yeah. And salsa is like pigota guy. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:08Speaker 2: come on.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I don't need I don't like the onion fingers man, right, yeah. Yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't know if there's you know, how like people
- 6:16Speaker 1: uh uh, it's genetic, like if with cilantro they taste
- 6:21Speaker 1: soap and not cilantro asparagus you get, you know, the
- 6:26Speaker 1: sulfur asparagus pea. I am onion sensitive. I don't even
- 6:31Speaker 1: know if that's really a thing or if it's just
- 6:33Speaker 1: a me thing. I don't know if there are others
- 6:34Speaker 1: like me or not. But there are some onions that
- 6:37Speaker 1: are just way too damn oniony. And then if I
- 6:40Speaker 1: get a taco that's got onions in it, it's all
- 6:42Speaker 1: I can smell, that's all I can taste. And then
- 6:44Speaker 1: I try to pick them out of the taco, and
- 6:46Speaker 1: now my fingers smell like onions, and I'm some sort
- 6:49Speaker 1: of a mutant onion fingered thing.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I get it. I just yeah,
- 6:55Speaker 2: there's so much food here, and I'm in ditting right
- 6:56Speaker 2: now too. This there's a lot of good like my
- 7:00Speaker 2: I out here, the new the restaurant, well my yeah,
- 7:03Speaker 2: our restaurant's out here too, which is I always try
- 7:05Speaker 2: to I try to eat that whenever I come to town,
- 7:07Speaker 2: for sure.
- 7:08Speaker 1: What is our restaurant?
- 7:10Speaker 2: Me and my friend? Yeah, I think you remember Anthony
- 7:12Speaker 2: Morrell from Tony Morrel back in the day. We partnered
- 7:14Speaker 2: it up and opened a restaurant on the square here
- 7:16Speaker 2: in didn't called a graffiti Pastah, it is and it
- 7:20Speaker 2: is awesome.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Yeah, what is wrong with you? You have chosen two
- 7:23Speaker 1: horrific professions for longevity and sanity. You are a stand
- 7:27Speaker 1: up comedian and a restaurant tour Yeah.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I hate myself.
- 7:32Speaker 1: By god, man, it is truly a miracle you are
- 7:37Speaker 1: sober at all?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. Don't worry.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I'm also in a band, so in case that works out.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I've made fifty dollars this year. Thank you.
- 7:56Speaker 5: You're in the tree house.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Visit us online and freehoufonair dot com.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Let's get Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration into
- 8:09Speaker 1: the Treehouse eight three to three Cook DFW to get
- 8:12Speaker 1: your free roof inspection schedule the website cookdfw dot com.
- 8:16Speaker 1: In twenty twenty seven, it has been announced that Spaceballs
- 8:21Speaker 1: Too will hit theaters and I can't wait. What about you?
- 8:24Speaker 7: I'm concerned with the age of the actors in that.
- 8:28Speaker 7: I mean, are they going to actually make it? Are
- 8:31Speaker 7: they going to film everything as fast as they can
- 8:33Speaker 7: just in case that if they do pass away? They
- 8:35Speaker 7: already have a lot of the recording for it, so
- 8:37Speaker 7: because it takes a while to edit all that stuff.
- 8:39Speaker 7: So I just hope it comes through. I know everybody's
- 8:42Speaker 7: going to be building it up. It is something we
- 8:44Speaker 7: grew up with. To see another production of it, I
- 8:48Speaker 7: think it's going to be fantastic.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Do you ever get any design ideas for people's homes
- 8:52Speaker 1: from the first Spaceballs?
- 8:54Speaker 7: You know, I've went in some people's homes and there
- 8:56Speaker 7: are some There are some elaborate Star Wars fans for sure. Okay,
- 9:01Speaker 7: so Spaceballs, you know, obviously not the same. But I
- 9:04Speaker 7: have seen some people designed some absolutely stunning feats, like
- 9:09Speaker 7: a millennium falcon front facia in their game rooms, and uh,
- 9:13Speaker 7: you know, tie fighters hanging from the ceiling. And one guy,
- 9:18Speaker 7: you know, he did infinity lights on a on a
- 9:21Speaker 7: mirror basically all the way through and he put all
- 9:23Speaker 7: the action figures behind it.
- 9:24Speaker 2: And so yeah, there are some.
- 9:26Speaker 8: Unique things that you can do with your home.
- 9:27Speaker 1: So absolutely, I willing to bet that Daniel would love
- 9:32Speaker 1: to help you install a fresh air dispenser a la
- 9:35Speaker 1: Spaceballs in your home. Give him a call. I guarantee
- 9:41Speaker 1: he'll take you up on it. Eight three to three
- 9:42Speaker 1: Cook DFW. Is that phone number eight three three cook

- 10:14Speaker 1: eight three three Cook d FW, or go to cook
- 10:18Speaker 1: dfw dot com. This is the Treehouse show. I'm Dan,
- 10:23Speaker 1: There's Trey, that's Raj and also inside the Treehouse today
- 10:27Speaker 1: Justin Foster, who is celebrating twenty years of comedy in
- 10:31Speaker 1: his life and you can celebrate with him at the
- 10:35Speaker 1: Addison Improv. This Thursday night show is at seven. For tickets,
- 10:40Speaker 1: go to improv dot com or just stock Justin on
- 10:43Speaker 1: social media. That also can pay dividends. So we mentioned
- 10:49Speaker 1: to going into the previous segment Justin. So you've been
- 10:53Speaker 1: sober now for how long?
- 10:55Speaker 2: December will be twelve years?
- 10:57Speaker 1: All right? So December will be Trey, you are about
- 11:01Speaker 1: to hit your ninth YEP and when what's the date
- 11:06Speaker 1: on your stray.
- 11:07Speaker 8: August seventeenth, twenty sixteen.
- 11:09Speaker 1: There you go, August seventeenth, so you're about to get
- 11:12Speaker 1: your your sober birthday, and it is and and Trey,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I don't I don't know if I'm not sober. I'm
- 11:23Speaker 1: not in that community, you know, So I don't know
- 11:26Speaker 1: if there are different types of sober individuals. I mean,
- 11:28Speaker 1: I know there are some, because there are some that
- 11:29Speaker 1: are good at it and bad at it, and there
- 11:31Speaker 1: are some that are more militant about it than others.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Tray's very laid back about it, justin I think you're
- 11:35Speaker 1: probably a little more laid back about it. I don't
- 11:37Speaker 1: think you're running around town like Peta, saying you need
- 11:41Speaker 1: to stop drinking and just telling everyone no, no, no.
- 11:44Speaker 1: But there are those types. Trey, though, does like to
- 11:49Speaker 1: literally wear his sobriety. Because Trey's got a shirt now
- 11:56Speaker 1: that celebrates his sobriety. You're not siring it right now.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It'd be funny if you were, but you posted a
- 12:03Speaker 1: photo of it on Instagram the other day. I was
- 12:06Speaker 1: gonna try to pull it up. But what does the
- 12:07Speaker 1: shirt say?
- 12:07Speaker 8: Again says I don't drink because I went pro and
- 12:15Speaker 8: retired early.
- 12:19Speaker 2: They hung up your Jersey Fudruckers, you're.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Retired as Jersey. There's a bust of him outside tilted
- 12:27Speaker 1: a Jack bottle vertical. Dirk's got the fade Away, Trey's
- 12:32Speaker 1: got the Jack slamb. But Tray, you told me the
- 12:39Speaker 1: other day that some lady started giving you smack about
- 12:42Speaker 1: your shirt. She didn't she thought your shirt was offensive.
- 12:46Speaker 8: Oh yeah, she uh, let me see if I can. Yeah. So, anyways,
- 12:59Speaker 8: I was standing in line at a place waiting for
- 13:01Speaker 8: some food and she looked over at me and she
- 13:03Speaker 8: was like, does she think that's a little insensitive? No
- 13:09Speaker 8: to whom, Well, it's she is, Well, you're making fun
- 13:14Speaker 8: of people. I go, it's self deprecating. She was young,
- 13:17Speaker 8: and that went completely over her head. And that's when
- 13:19Speaker 8: I was like, yeah, you know what, I'm gonna leave
- 13:20Speaker 8: this one alone because if we if we don't know
- 13:22Speaker 8: what the big words mean, then I can just smack
- 13:25Speaker 8: you around. And she I did, I go.
- 13:29Speaker 3: I go.
- 13:30Speaker 8: Ma, I've been sober for almost nine years, so it's
- 13:32Speaker 8: it's making fun of myself. Oh, well, you still might
- 13:37Speaker 8: hurt other people's feelings.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I not my concern. That's that's the shirt. You're gonna
- 13:44Speaker 1: wear it tomorrow, doesn't care about your feelings with an
- 13:49Speaker 1: arrow pointed up at your head. That's that. That's such
- 13:53Speaker 1: an extreme. I don't understand how she's worked Justin as
- 13:58Speaker 1: as a sober individual. If you saw this shirt, if
- 14:01Speaker 1: you saw Trey wearing this shirt, I don't drink because
- 14:03Speaker 1: I went pro and retired early. Would that offend you
- 14:06Speaker 1: as a sober person.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I don't think it'd offend me as any type of person.
- 14:10Speaker 2: That's a wild thing to be upset about.
- 14:12Speaker 1: It really is. I feel like someone's just looking to
- 14:15Speaker 1: be mad. I am not a sober person and that
- 14:18Speaker 1: doesn't offend me. So I'm not sure who she's worried
- 14:20Speaker 1: about offending.
- 14:22Speaker 8: Well, and truth matter is, it's it's funny and Justin
- 14:28Speaker 8: can probably relate to this is stuff like that, More
- 14:32Speaker 8: non sober people are going to more likely to say
- 14:35Speaker 8: something than another sober person.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Yeah, alcoholics, I feel attacked.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yeah, if you feel attacked, then you have guilt about something.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Yeah. I always know somebody has a drinking part When
- 14:50Speaker 2: they tell me that, I'm judging them, Like I just
- 14:51Speaker 2: feel like Justin's judging me, Like, oh no, no, no.
- 14:55Speaker 2: It says that you might be judging you. I could
- 14:58Speaker 2: care less.
- 15:00Speaker 8: I'll make I'll make fun of you. I used to,
- 15:02Speaker 8: you know, working in bars, and especially people would come
- 15:06Speaker 8: in hungover and just bitching about it and I'd look
- 15:08Speaker 8: at him and go And you paid to feel this way.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I had bad news for that lady. Tell her
- 15:17Speaker 2: never to go to a hot topic. If she's offended
- 15:19Speaker 2: by shirts.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Oh god, could you imagine if she ever walked into
- 15:22Speaker 1: a dad Zooks.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yes, Spencer's Gifts, Spencers. Yeah, yeah, bro, I saw a
- 15:29Speaker 2: guy on a motorcycle and he hit a shirt on
- 15:31Speaker 2: the back. So if you can read this, and then
- 15:33Speaker 2: she fell off like that.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I just imagine the poor girl that didn't like
- 15:41Speaker 1: Trey's shirt. Imagine if she was driving and saw that guy.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Right right, could you imagine be pulling him over and
- 15:46Speaker 2: be like, sir, your shirt's off infending me.
- 15:52Speaker 1: If if you're that offended by something that is, like
- 15:55Speaker 1: like you said, Trey, it's a self deprecating shirt. If
- 15:59Speaker 1: you don't underst stand either the word self deprecating or
- 16:03Speaker 1: just you know, the sentiment behind it, then maybe you
- 16:07Speaker 1: should have smacked her down a little bit verbally, not
- 16:09Speaker 1: you know, not actually.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Physically well, in her defense, Trey was standing in line
- 16:13Speaker 2: at a liquor store.
- 16:14Speaker 1: So shore the Treehouse.

- 18:02Speaker 3: Yeah, Justin, this is.
- 18:03Speaker 8: Like a tennis match show.
- 18:06Speaker 3: The worst doubles game ever.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Doubles, Actually it couldn't doubles, is why I'm sober.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Well for Tray and Justin, you might make a really
- 18:19Speaker 1: interesting pickleball pair real quick. Justin his pickleball is big
- 18:25Speaker 1: in California as it is in Texas.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. I played it for
- 18:30Speaker 2: the first time. I was like, Okay, I guess how
- 18:33Speaker 2: did you feel?
- 18:34Speaker 1: Were you a convert? Did you immediately go and join
- 18:37Speaker 1: the club or no?
- 18:38Speaker 2: I never played it again.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I was driving on I was driving on thirty five
- 18:44Speaker 1: the other day and I saw what was it called
- 18:48Speaker 1: pickle Verse? M uh it was I It was on
- 18:55Speaker 1: the way to the Maverick in Carrollton last Sunday on
- 18:58Speaker 1: thirty five, driving north and on the east side of
- 19:00Speaker 1: thirty five there was a building, huge warehouse type building.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure it was called Pickle Verse, and I
- 19:05Speaker 1: guess it was just a massive pickleball facility. It's like,
- 19:08Speaker 1: my god, this thing is really really getting out of hand.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't get it. No, I just say, yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 2: I played it. It's just like I don't know. It's
- 19:20Speaker 2: a lot of running around. I guess that's tennis.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Also, that is.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I thought I wanted to do. I guess basically I
- 19:30Speaker 2: wanted to do less, is what I'm saying.
- 19:32Speaker 1: So ping pong is is your speech?
- 19:34Speaker 2: I think I think that's what I've meant to.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you need to go to Ping Pong World
- 19:37Speaker 1: and stay away from pickle verse.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. Yeah.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Uh. Anyway, So Trey, you will have been sober for
- 19:44Speaker 1: nine years next month, Justin, you will have twelve under
- 19:47Speaker 1: your belt coming up in December, and I feel like
- 19:51Speaker 1: there's a recruiting opportunity here. I'm going to tell you about.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Oh yeah, a.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Woman's drunken night ended with her taking home a seagull
- 19:59Speaker 1: that has bird flu.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I'm done worse.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Thank you for leading me into my question to you,
- 20:08Speaker 1: Justin and Trade as sober individuals. Is this a rock
- 20:11Speaker 1: bottom or can she go deeper?
- 20:13Speaker 3: Oh?
- 20:14Speaker 2: You can always go deeper.
- 20:16Speaker 3: You can take home someone from flock of seagulls.
- 20:22Speaker 1: That might be rock bottom, right, Yeah, you're right. Oh God.
- 20:26Speaker 1: A night out took a bizarre turn for one woman
- 20:28Speaker 1: after she awoke to find a seagull flopping around her
- 20:32Speaker 1: living room, only to be told later, yeah, it has
- 20:36Speaker 1: bird flu.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Wow, this.
- 20:41Speaker 8: Throw out a guess here. She's a white woman.
- 20:45Speaker 10: Yeah, I hope so, because only a white woman would
- 20:49Speaker 10: grab a bird. Only a white woman's really gonna grab
- 20:52Speaker 10: any animal and take him home in a drunken stupor,
- 20:54Speaker 10: but especially a bird.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right. Her name is Aaron Punton, she is
- 21:02Speaker 1: twenty two years old, and this is somewhere in the UK, Northumberland.
- 21:06Speaker 1: She admitted she had no idea why she scooped up
- 21:09Speaker 1: the bird from outside a pub, saying it happened without
- 21:12Speaker 1: even a thought. Said I saw, She said, I saw
- 21:16Speaker 1: the bird outside Weatherspoons that's the pub, and managed to
- 21:20Speaker 1: pick him up without even a thought. I don't even
- 21:22Speaker 1: know what made me pick him up. I put him
- 21:24Speaker 1: in my sitting room with a blanket. The following morning,
- 21:27Speaker 1: she was stunned to discover the gull flying around her
- 21:30Speaker 1: living room. She took it to a vet and the
- 21:37Speaker 1: vet told her, hey, it's got bird flu. The news
- 21:41Speaker 1: of this left her feeling sick and prompted her to
- 21:43Speaker 1: disinfect her home from top to bottom, and the night
- 21:48Speaker 1: was captured on video showing her dancing to Valerie by
- 21:51Speaker 1: the Zutons or the Zutans not true, that is, with
- 21:54Speaker 1: the bird tucked under her arm, and in the clips
- 21:58Speaker 1: she can actually be heard saying, I haven't had a
- 22:00Speaker 1: chance to listen to this. He's a beauty. He actually
- 22:02Speaker 1: wants to stop in my room and everything, but I've
- 22:05Speaker 1: got no whr for him. Oh wow, Yeah she took him.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I've had those nights when you wake up coming in
- 22:11Speaker 2: feathers and go get tested.
- 22:22Speaker 1: It really isn't that Tray. You're right, I mean I've
- 22:24Speaker 1: seen this for myself. And working in the bar industry
- 22:27Speaker 1: for as long as you have Trey and Raj and
- 22:30Speaker 1: Justin with comedy clubs, I'm sure you've seen plenty of
- 22:33Speaker 1: drunk white women who saw a creature of some sort
- 22:37Speaker 1: and thought I must take this home. It needs me.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Yeah me?
- 22:50Speaker 1: Are you single?
- 22:51Speaker 3: Justin?
- 22:52Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 22:53Speaker 1: So if you see a very attractive bald man wandering
- 22:56Speaker 1: around Addison on Thursday.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Night, yeah, yeah, it's me Justin.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Could be your rock bottom. Yeah, yeah, you're listening to
- 23:10Speaker 1: the Treehouse.

- 23:50Speaker 1: Today it is Tuesday inside the Treehouse, and that's where
- 23:55Speaker 1: we do a fun little feature called Treehouse Talkback.
- 24:02Speaker 11: Hey, this is Robert Powell regarding the Tuesday twenty third show.
- 24:08Speaker 11: In the comment about Paul Rubins scandal wouldn't have been
- 24:14Speaker 11: as big now as it was then, you have an
- 24:18Speaker 11: entire generation who are going to ask, what the hell
- 24:21Speaker 11: is an adult theater?
- 24:23Speaker 3: All right? This is.
- 24:26Speaker 1: That's the place where if you're a rich, lonely man,
- 24:31Speaker 1: no friends and family, that's where you leave all your
- 24:36Speaker 1: money when you die. Robert does bring up a solid
- 24:42Speaker 1: point the newer generation may not know what an adult
- 24:46Speaker 1: theater is. Although, to be fair, I mean, even like
- 24:50Speaker 1: even as Gen X, which all of us in here are,
- 24:53Speaker 1: we all know what they are. I don't know if
- 24:55Speaker 1: any of us have ever been to one. I know
- 24:57Speaker 1: where one is in Dallas, but it's never been a
- 25:01Speaker 1: place where I was like, you know where I want
- 25:03Speaker 1: to go tonight, Fellas, That's that's just not.
- 25:06Speaker 2: A I look like I do. But no, I've never
- 25:10Speaker 2: been to one. You look like you own one, but
- 25:15Speaker 2: they still charge me. Yes, you know it's crazy. This
- 25:23Speaker 2: is the two nights ago. I was in the green
- 25:25Speaker 2: room and someone was actually having this exact same conversation.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Really yeah, I was like, I just had days when
- 25:32Speaker 2: this guy said that. Yeah, they were talking about would
- 25:34Speaker 2: first of all, would it be as big as a
- 25:35Speaker 2: scandal today? Second of all, people wouldn't know what an
- 25:38Speaker 2: adult movie theater is or who Paul Rubins is actually.
- 25:43Speaker 2: But but yeah, it's like never, how like they just
- 25:47Speaker 2: dragged that poor dude. It's like, God forbid he goes
- 25:50Speaker 2: to an adult moot, you know what I'm saying.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, every I think the only thing that was
- 25:54Speaker 1: illegal about it was the fact that it's okay to
- 25:57Speaker 1: it's okay to go to the theater. You're just not
- 25:58Speaker 1: allowed to pull anything out and do anything with it
- 26:01Speaker 1: while you're there.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yeah, But when it comes to Hollywood scandals, and you know,
- 26:08Speaker 1: pants being down in places they're not supposed to. I
- 26:10Speaker 1: mean that is really low on the pole of of
- 26:13Speaker 1: bad right, God forbid, because at the theater was a
- 26:17Speaker 1: legitimate business, and I don't know what film they were showing,
- 26:22Speaker 1: but I'm I feel safe to say that everyone in
- 26:25Speaker 1: the film was consenting adults. It's just the fact that
- 26:28Speaker 1: it was a different day and age back then.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I wouldn't say Philadelphia.
- 26:42Speaker 1: If you want to stay with the Tom Hanks things
- 26:44Speaker 1: like Captain Phillips time now, had it been a Bosom
- 26:54Speaker 1: Buddies marathon, that would have been interesting. Yeah, uh huh
- 27:00Speaker 1: uh so yeah, so that whole thing would not have
- 27:03Speaker 1: transpired the same way by today's standard, said it did
- 27:06Speaker 1: back then. I'm just glad he was able to salvage
- 27:09Speaker 1: somewhat of a career after the fact it let's get
- 27:12Speaker 1: back go ahead, Trey.
- 27:13Speaker 8: Like, if it happened today, there'd be far more it
- 27:15Speaker 8: just there'd be more jokes about his nickname being pee
- 27:18Speaker 8: weee than it.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Would be a meme. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, there'd
- 27:21Speaker 2: be memes, not outrage.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think for the most part, everyone would
- 27:26Speaker 1: be fine with letting their kids get back to watching
- 27:29Speaker 1: his playhouse on their iPads if that was still a thing,
- 27:31Speaker 1: because who, because most parents don't want to have any
- 27:35Speaker 1: actual conversations with their kids anyway, just put on the iPads,
- 27:37Speaker 1: lop their face in front of it, headphones on, and
- 27:39Speaker 1: go about your day.
- 27:43Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 27:43Speaker 4: And who, I can't remember his name, Fred's older guy.
- 27:46Speaker 4: That happened to him as well. He got caught in
- 27:48Speaker 4: Fred Willard. Yeah, yeah, there you go.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and then I think came of it, like he charges.
- 27:54Speaker 1: I don't even know if what the disposition of his
- 27:56Speaker 1: case was, but he was doing episodes of Modern Family
- 27:59Speaker 1: at the time. Didn't hurt his career one bit. He
- 28:01Speaker 1: was a little embarrassed by denied it and then it
- 28:03Speaker 1: was over.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:04Speaker 4: He went on the Tonight Show I think that next
- 28:07Speaker 4: night and started poking fun in himself.
- 28:10Speaker 1: So yeah, that's a way to do it. All right,
- 28:12Speaker 1: let's get back. Robert had a busy week inside the
- 28:15Speaker 1: tree house. He left us another message.
- 28:17Speaker 11: This is a Rubbert foul.
- 28:20Speaker 12: The young lady in California that lost her arm because
- 28:23Speaker 12: she did not hear the train approaching. There is a
- 28:29Speaker 12: local municipality here I want to state where where they
- 28:32Speaker 12: have purposely put up fencing in between where the people
- 28:37Speaker 12: run and bike and the train, because obviously the train
- 28:41Speaker 12: is known for jumping off the tracks and attacking people
- 28:43Speaker 12: at random. Clearly, this woman is a bree because, as
- 28:49Speaker 12: we all know, you cannot be anywhere near a train
- 28:52Speaker 12: and not know that's train. They make noise, whether or
- 28:54Speaker 12: not it's a horn. They make noise all the time,
- 28:58Speaker 12: even just sitting still in the station, they make noise
- 29:02Speaker 12: all the time. And that same show was talking about
- 29:10Speaker 12: deep Ellam. Yeah, we knew in the seventies not to
- 29:13Speaker 12: go there.
- 29:15Speaker 1: So Robert there touched on a couple of things we
- 29:17Speaker 1: talked about last week. The last one was that deep
- 29:20Speaker 1: Elam is wanting more regulation from the city about helping
- 29:26Speaker 1: with violence at night. Good luck with that. And then
- 29:29Speaker 1: the other part was a lady trying to cross the
- 29:32Speaker 1: train tracks had her arm ripped off by an Amtrak
- 29:36Speaker 1: train because she claims it came out of nowhere and
- 29:40Speaker 1: clipped her bike and took her arm with it. Nowhere
- 29:45Speaker 1: in that story doesn't mention the fact that she's probably
- 29:47Speaker 1: wearing headphones and you know, listening to music full blast
- 29:50Speaker 1: or anything and just crossing the tracks all willy nilly
- 29:54Speaker 1: and Robert's right. Look, trains are pretty smooth these days,
- 29:58Speaker 1: but they still make noise. They still rumbled the ground
- 30:01Speaker 1: a bit when they're on their way. I don't know
- 30:03Speaker 1: how she didn't notice that had it not been something
- 30:06Speaker 1: she was doing, But she didn't. She did really put
- 30:10Speaker 1: herself out there in the middle of victimhood town. This
- 30:14Speaker 1: train basically attacked her.
- 30:18Speaker 2: That's crazy. I relate, though. I'm always had my headphones in.
- 30:21Speaker 2: That's gonna be me one day for sure.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Justin versus Amtrak and am track.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I just have it just blaring because it just
- 30:28Speaker 2: walking into oncoming traffic. That's how I heard the story.
- 30:32Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, I'm on her side.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Totally get it. Yeah, all right, one more quick one here.
- 30:39Speaker 11: Re roams oz. But when replayed the drums, we will
- 30:44Speaker 11: play without our processes.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Did not expect Dolin to call into the treehouse last week,
- 30:52Speaker 1: but here we are. That was based on God, who
- 30:58Speaker 1: was it? What band was that trade? You remember where
- 31:00Speaker 1: the the the drummer took off his shirt. He's like
- 31:05Speaker 1: seventy something years old.
- 31:06Speaker 8: Black Sabbath.
- 31:06Speaker 1: It was Black Sabbath. Okay, that's right. Yeah, Yeah, For
- 31:09Speaker 1: some reason I was thinking it was a different one. Yeah,
- 31:11Speaker 1: one of the guys in the band is saying that
- 31:12Speaker 1: the drummer needs to keep his shirt on because when
- 31:14Speaker 1: he takes it off, he says, he looks like Gollum
- 31:16Speaker 1: from Lord of the Rings. Obviously he took offense to that,
- 31:25Speaker 1: and we even said when we initially talked about this,
- 31:27Speaker 1: look if you're if you're a rocker that's been used
- 31:29Speaker 1: to taking off his shirt from day one, like this
- 31:33Speaker 1: guy from like like the drummer from Black Sabbath or
- 31:36Speaker 1: Iggy Pop. I saw I saw a photo of him
- 31:38Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago with his shirt off. My god,
- 31:40Speaker 1: he looks like an extra on The Walking Dead. But
- 31:42Speaker 1: you know what, he's not gonna change.
- 31:46Speaker 8: If you're still rocking in your seventies, do whatever you
- 31:49Speaker 8: the hell you want.
- 31:50Speaker 3: That's exactly right now.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I mean, if your idea of a tour is going
- 31:56Speaker 1: from the north wing to the East wing of the
- 31:58Speaker 1: nursing home, whatever word, just load up the gear and
- 32:02Speaker 1: live your truth.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Looks like an et front of a band.
- 32:11Speaker 1: And melt it a little bit.

- 33:08Speaker 1: Speaking of today, it is Tuesday, July twenty ninth, twenty
- 33:12Speaker 1: twenty five. Let's celebrate today with some birthdays turning forty
- 33:19Speaker 1: three todays. Alison Mack she played Chloe on Smallville. She
- 33:25Speaker 1: was then arrested on sex trafficking charges for her involvement
- 33:28Speaker 1: in Visum, a self help cult that branded female members
- 33:31Speaker 1: with the founder's initials, and she did twenty one months
- 33:34Speaker 1: of a three year sentence. But you know, she was
- 33:38Speaker 1: on Smallville for a while, so I'm instead of focusing
- 33:40Speaker 1: on the cult aspect, I'm gonna use that as a
- 33:42Speaker 1: segue into seeing if anyone else in the Treehouse has
- 33:45Speaker 1: seen the new Superman movie. No no, justin.
- 33:50Speaker 8: I thought, yeah, what'd you think?
- 33:52Speaker 3: I like it?
- 33:52Speaker 5: It's fun cool.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Did they make you want to join a cult like this, chick?
- 33:56Speaker 3: Did? I mean?
- 33:56Speaker 2: Everything makes you want a good joint of cult.
- 34:00Speaker 3: It really is.
- 34:00Speaker 1: About it really is about the marketing, and it's like, well,
- 34:03Speaker 1: what are your benefits?
- 34:04Speaker 2: I'm the guy they get every time, we'll cheer them out.
- 34:08Speaker 3: You look like the recruiter.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Yeah I know.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, especially if you're a cult centered around an
- 34:14Speaker 1: adult theater. Yeah, yeah, I don't know so anyway. Alison
- 34:21Speaker 1: Mack is forty three today. Danger Mouse is forty eight.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Josh Radner, who played Ted on How I Met Your Mother,
- 34:30Speaker 1: He is fifty one today. Man from Boys to Men
- 34:33Speaker 1: Wanya Morris is fifty two, one of the all time
- 34:36Speaker 1: great I almost said boy band, but that's that's I
- 34:40Speaker 1: feel like offensive to boys to men, even though boy
- 34:44Speaker 1: is in their name.
- 34:45Speaker 3: I think technically they were right.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I just, I just I'm sorry. When I think boy band,
- 34:50Speaker 1: I think suburban white kids that were found by a
- 34:53Speaker 1: CD looking promoter and promised riches and fame.
- 34:56Speaker 8: I think new addition and you like to have a
- 35:00Speaker 8: word with you?
- 35:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, No, there are some others. I guess
- 35:08Speaker 1: I'm just whitewashing the whole boy Jackson.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Their dad was the recruiter that one.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah, and one of them became white.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Thank you, justin I feel edicated. Uh but yeah, I
- 35:27Speaker 1: just when I think of I guess more of that.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I guess like the with the boy band thing. To me,
- 35:31Speaker 1: it's more of a genre of music, whereas boys to
- 35:33Speaker 1: Men doesn't fit that to me because.
- 35:36Speaker 3: I don't know why.
- 35:37Speaker 2: It's just yeah, like R and B.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not that, it's not the bubblegum poppy you
- 35:41Speaker 1: know stuff.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Will Wheaton turns fifty three today, best known as Wesley
- 35:48Speaker 1: Crusher on Star Trek the Next Generation and played a
- 35:50Speaker 1: version of himself on The Big Bang Theory. And he
- 35:53Speaker 1: was a big, big child star before Star Trek the
- 35:56Speaker 1: Next Generation. He was also Gordy in stand By Me,
- 36:04Speaker 1: trying to decide whether or not to tell you guys
- 36:06Speaker 1: again about the other movie he was in that I
- 36:08Speaker 1: saw that was fun?
- 36:10Speaker 3: What was it was?
- 36:14Speaker 1: Well, it was kind of a star studded cast. I
- 36:16Speaker 1: mean you had Will Wheaton, Sean Aston, Lou Gassit.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Junior, Oh wow, okay.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And the movie was called Toy Soldiers from nineteen ninety one.
- 36:30Speaker 8: Remember that movie, Yes, Thank.
- 36:33Speaker 1: You Trey, because a Colombian terrorist takes an American prep
- 36:38Speaker 1: school hostage as a means of gaining his drug lord
- 36:41Speaker 1: father's freedom. Privileged yet rebellious students Joey, Billy, Snuffy and
- 36:48Speaker 1: Hank Okay, this sounds that sounds like a Telly Tubby show,
- 36:51Speaker 1: not the anyway, starring Will Wheaton and Shawn Aston, Keith
- 36:55Speaker 1: Coogan and t E. Russell find that they are better
- 36:58Speaker 1: equipped to deal with the threat than the authorities are.
- 37:02Speaker 8: And Dan, let me for clarify. I said, I remember
- 37:05Speaker 8: the movie. I didn't say I.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Want to see it. I caught that immediately. There's someone
- 37:12Speaker 3: to look on your face like.
- 37:14Speaker 2: I saw it.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Thank you justin thank you for seeing thank you for
- 37:18Speaker 1: seeing a film.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I remember it.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Well, it's not a great film, but they made it.

- 38:41Speaker 1: Would you rather be a former cast member of Smallville
- 38:48Speaker 1: or a cast member of the nineteen ninety one film

- 38:55Speaker 3: Choose Smallville?
- 38:57Speaker 2: Smallville? Okay, jugs ex cult come on.
- 39:02Speaker 9: It.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Really, it really is an interesting uh you know, reunions
- 39:07Speaker 1: set up for the people on Smallville because they they
- 39:11Speaker 1: kind of have storied stories when it comes to after
- 39:14Speaker 1: the show ended, because we just talked about Chloe Mack
- 39:17Speaker 1: she was part of the sex cult.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Uh.
- 39:19Speaker 1: And then raz you were saying one of the guys
- 39:21Speaker 1: on the show got taken down for drugs.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Yep, Uh, the guy that played his best Tom Walling's
- 39:27Speaker 4: best friend.
- 39:29Speaker 3: I think he got caught.
- 39:31Speaker 4: He did like five six years in prison something like
- 39:34Speaker 4: that for drugs.
- 39:37Speaker 1: And then the guy that played Superman, Tom Welling, got
- 39:40Speaker 1: got a d U I recently.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Yeah, As far.
- 39:45Speaker 1: As I can tell, all the cast members from Uh,
- 39:49Speaker 1: Toy Soldiers have done pretty well for themselves.
- 39:53Speaker 2: They try to do a small reunion, but they keep
- 39:55Speaker 2: missing their one phone call.
- 40:01Speaker 13: Visiting hours or Yeah, Schwortz, I really hated when you
- 40:04Speaker 13: can't seek up the visiting hours for the record.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Toy Soldiers from nineteen ninety one had a budget of
- 40:14Speaker 1: ten million dollars and it made money because it grossed
- 40:18Speaker 1: fifteen Yeah.
- 40:21Speaker 8: I mean, I don't know how you would turn down
- 40:22Speaker 8: the chance to work with the sexy lucast junior though,
- 40:25Speaker 8: did you am right?
- 40:27Speaker 2: Did you look up the rotten the rotten Tomato score?
- 40:30Speaker 1: I didn't look up rotten Tomatoes on IMDb where I'm
- 40:33Speaker 1: looking right, now it is a six point six out
- 40:36Speaker 1: of ten, which I'm honestly surprised it's that high.
- 40:39Speaker 2: All right, Rot Tomatoes has it sitting at forty one.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I would have guessed below fifty on that one. Yeah,
- 40:46Speaker 1: that's fair, but I mean it really does. The cast
- 40:49Speaker 1: is interesting. I mean you got Sean Aston and Will
- 40:53Speaker 1: Wheaton and Lucasi Junior. R Lee Ermie is in this.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Denham Elliott is in this.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Man.
- 41:01Speaker 2: You're really hard. You're really pushing hard for this one.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Are you? Andrew Divoff who was in Scarface? I believe Denham?
- 41:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he plays in Colombian. Yeah, he plays the Colombian.
- 41:15Speaker 8: Uh Canadian.
- 41:20Speaker 3: That would be double Denim.
- 41:25Speaker 1: That's that's that's the movie about his life. That's one
- 41:35Speaker 1: of those. I'm trying to think of a movie he
- 41:37Speaker 1: was in that you would recognize him from the Denim guy.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Denholm Elliott plays the Headmaster, Like if you look him up,
- 41:45Speaker 1: you'll see his face and be like, oh, I know
- 41:47Speaker 1: that guy. God, he's been in so many movies. He
- 41:51Speaker 1: was in Trading Places as Coleman. He was in Raiders
- 41:54Speaker 1: of the Lost Arc as Brody. He's Marcus Brody and
- 41:57Speaker 1: the Indiana Jones movies, any of these ringing a bell?
- 42:00Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean right there, Marcus Brody, No, this is
- 42:09Speaker 14: the Indianana Jones movie.
- 42:11Speaker 8: Yeah, he was the bumbling you know, professor.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Uh yep, I saw Toy Soldiers. I didn't see Indiana Jones.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Is that bad?
- 42:26Speaker 8: Blame it on the drinking.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but he's been sober almost twelve years now, he
- 42:31Speaker 1: can right that wrong. I feel like there's an amends
- 42:35Speaker 1: in there.
- 42:40Speaker 2: But it wouldn't be crazy. I know nothing about Indiana Jones,
- 42:43Speaker 2: but everything about Toy Soldiers.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Maybe it'll pay off one day when you actually go
- 42:51Speaker 1: in and someone says, hey, do you want to do
- 42:52Speaker 1: this part and be like, I don't know. Is it
- 42:54Speaker 1: anything like Toy Soldiers? Because I'm not interested.
- 42:57Speaker 2: You want to go to a barn his Toy Soldier
- 42:59Speaker 2: trivia and I.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Oh my god, this is my topic by Denim whoever
- 43:04Speaker 4: that guy is.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Brody, come on, Brody.
- 43:09Speaker 8: Oh Brody.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, since we mentioned Indiana Jones, I'm gonna
- 43:14Speaker 1: throw this at all of us because this I saw
- 43:16Speaker 1: this over the weekend and it made me feel really
- 43:18Speaker 1: really old. Raiders of the Lost Stark Okay, the first
- 43:22Speaker 1: Indiana Jones movie Raiders of the Lost Ark was made
- 43:25Speaker 1: in nineteen eighty one, and it took place in nineteen
- 43:28Speaker 1: thirty six. Right if they did a remake with the
- 43:32Speaker 1: same time gap, it would take place in nineteen eighty one.
- 43:37Speaker 1: That's how old we all are.
- 43:40Speaker 3: Wow.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Yeah, if it makes you feel any better, denhim Elliet's
- 43:45Speaker 1: dead in the movie or now, actually it was both.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure they killed him in Doys Soldiers.
