- 0:02Speaker 1: Talk stage, stage talking, walking, all the things that are
- 0:32Speaker 1: stage talking, long age walking.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Alright, what's going on?
- 0:41Speaker 3: Already?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Welcome back. It's twenty twenty six. How is everybody's Christmas?
- 0:47Speaker 2: I should probably introduce everybody first? How but we do that?
- 0:49Speaker 2: It's been like two weeks and I forgot to do everything.
- 0:52Speaker 2: But we have the PhD of key Forge, doctor m Sheep, Hello,
- 0:57Speaker 2: we got the e walkist of Ewoks Walk Junior.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Hello, keyboard community, glad to be back in another year.
- 1:05Speaker 2: And the reason for the season, the draz Core of
- 1:10Speaker 2: the Draz Score, dras Corps. Hey, guys, how's it going?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Oh boy, I just look in the list. The reason
- 1:18Speaker 2: your winter because you're icey. You're like you got ice
- 1:21Speaker 2: in your veins. I don't really know. Ooh, I don't know.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Ooh sounds dangerous, but holy should get that checked out.
- 1:28Speaker 2: So I just totally looked at this. So we got
- 1:30Speaker 2: lots to go over today. We have the year in review.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Since it's a new year, we'll be looking back at
- 1:36Speaker 2: twenty twenty five. The goods, the bads, the uglies. I
- 1:41Speaker 2: don't know. I said top five, bottom five, and JR.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Put twenty seven things in each list. Top five. There's
- 1:50Speaker 2: a lot of this is why I said two episodes,
- 1:54Speaker 2: because I do top five meant top fifteen. But it's okay.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Hey, Wookie stopped talking and we're fine. But guess what
- 2:02Speaker 5: five times four people's twenty okay, so stop talking, move
- 2:05Speaker 5: on with it.
- 2:06Speaker 3: We're good.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Well, I figured we'd all agree most most of them
- 2:09Speaker 4: are like they just didn't fail.
- 2:11Speaker 6: So that made top.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I had to find some positive that's it wasn't.
- 2:18Speaker 2: A total disaster when.
- 2:23Speaker 6: The curve.
- 2:24Speaker 2: We did get a new article coming out this week,
- 2:28Speaker 2: the vision for key Forge in twenty twenty six, which
- 2:31Speaker 2: is a lot of what we talked about during the
- 2:35Speaker 2: was it was it the state of key Forge for
- 2:39Speaker 2: uh Peterson? Is that where we did all this? We actually,
- 2:45Speaker 2: guys are hearing something in the background, right, No, yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 2: well you're probably on the recording hearing it. I bought
- 2:54Speaker 2: a three D printer, okay, I made the terrible decision
- 2:59Speaker 2: to put it right next to my desk. My bad. Oh,
- 3:05Speaker 2: actually just finished printing. But anyways, go ahead, do you
- 3:09Speaker 2: watch what's popping out? I don't know, let me look.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 3:17Speaker 6: Doesn't even know when it's printing.
- 3:21Speaker 2: My wife, So my wife decided that. Uh, I don't
- 3:25Speaker 2: have to buy her flowers anymore. I can just print flowers.
- 3:28Speaker 2: They're flowers. Oh so these ones will never die and
- 3:34Speaker 2: I could use them year after year, spray and perfume
- 3:39Speaker 2: on them. You're good to go, that's right, absolutely, But
- 3:44Speaker 2: go ahead. Do you walk your up?
- 3:45Speaker 5: I see, I see, I see that you had a
- 3:48Speaker 5: wonderful Christmas? Then drum long story shorts. Oh yeah, I forgot.
- 3:55Speaker 5: How is everybody's Christmas holiday season?
- 4:00Speaker 2: Good holidays?
- 4:01Speaker 4: The holidays themselves were real nice. You know, visited my
- 4:08Speaker 4: wife's family, visited my family. I think the second we
- 4:12Speaker 4: got home from visiting my family, my wife booked us
- 4:15Speaker 4: a trip to Florida next Christmas.
- 4:18Speaker 2: It's like, hell, no, not do that again.
- 4:22Speaker 4: So we're going to key West next Christmas.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Nice.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Well, I will tell you that going somewhere warm is
- 4:27Speaker 5: very enjoyable for the holidays. Just being on a beach,
- 4:31Speaker 5: being water is It's very rejuvenating and it is less
- 4:36Speaker 5: stressful than being around some families.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Some other families are great. I had a wonderful Christmas. Boys,
- 4:47Speaker 3: I did.
- 4:48Speaker 6: Days of ten to twelve hours of board gaming in
- 4:51Speaker 6: between Christmas. Nicer, that was pretty.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Excellently what was the best the board game you played?
- 5:05Speaker 3: He likes Van not that much.
- 5:07Speaker 6: Yes, I do like Vantage quite a bit.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I haven't tried that one yet.
- 5:13Speaker 5: I get like a weekly up. I get a daily
- 5:15Speaker 5: update for a couple of days because I lent him
- 5:17Speaker 5: my copy, and he's like.
- 5:19Speaker 2: This is what I did. This is what I did.
- 5:21Speaker 6: I died today and even with the like the bonus
- 5:27Speaker 6: like stay alive thing, I still died.
- 5:33Speaker 4: I got uh for Christmas, I got Shackleton Base.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Like that that's actually to be really good.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's very good.
- 5:42Speaker 2: It lives up to the hype. It's a top match,
- 5:45Speaker 2: top well.
- 5:46Speaker 3: I was very blessed. Uh.
- 5:48Speaker 5: The longest break for my teaching career was two weeks,
- 5:52Speaker 5: and that was his best. So I went down to
- 5:57Speaker 5: beautiful Ruba with my family and there were eleven of
- 6:00Speaker 5: us in my family for my brother's sister, mom, dad,
- 6:03Speaker 5: my brother in law, their kids, and my whole family.
- 6:07Speaker 5: But my family is my individual. Tara Eving memory are amazing.
- 6:11Speaker 5: We loved hanging out on the beach, being able to
- 6:12Speaker 5: go ahead and just be in the water. It was
- 6:16Speaker 5: a great time and we got out before because Aruba
- 6:20Speaker 5: is only six miles away. From Venezuela, so before the
- 6:23Speaker 5: airspace closed, so that was good. And then I was
- 6:26Speaker 5: able to play some board games with Sheep and some others.
- 6:29Speaker 3: I played some.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Whirlie ball, which I rocked their socks. It was a great, great,
- 6:34Speaker 5: great break, very very exciting.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Nice. So everybody had a good holiday season. Yes, it
- 6:43Speaker 2: sounds like so now we're back to the grind one
- 6:47Speaker 2: day at all.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Yeah, off well with a bang, and by bang, I
- 6:53Speaker 4: mean all my stuff exploding and just working all crazy
- 6:57Speaker 4: number of hours, which is weird.
- 6:59Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm averaging like twenty hours a week right now
- 7:04Speaker 6: of actual work.
- 7:07Speaker 4: A lot of it got almost I've got almost that
- 7:10Speaker 4: much each day of this week.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Yeah, So it sounds almost like you and I have
- 7:19Speaker 2: swapped roles this year, and I'm not gonna lie to you.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I hope it continues.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I hope it's been rough. I hoping that I didn't
- 7:31Speaker 4: have to work today, So that's a good sign.
- 7:32Speaker 2: It's a good sign I have gotten it more time
- 7:37Speaker 2: off in twenty twenty six. I feel that I have
- 7:41Speaker 2: gotten in all of twenty twenty five. How many days
- 7:49Speaker 2: is that? Well, at least I'm now getting two days
- 7:52Speaker 2: a week, so they're unfortunately. No, you're right. So I
- 7:58Speaker 2: mean I was working six to seven days a week
- 8:04Speaker 2: last year pretty consistently, and now I at least get
- 8:10Speaker 2: my two days off a week. So like, that's like
- 8:12Speaker 2: a breath of fresh air. You have no idea, very
- 8:16Speaker 2: very happy. So mm hmmm, I'm not gonna lie. I
- 8:21Speaker 2: hope it continues, Drascar, I hope yours ends, and I
- 8:24Speaker 2: hope we don't switch again. So two, it'll pass, right,
- 8:29Speaker 2: everything does. Everything passes. But we got a new article
- 8:31Speaker 2: from Josh this week.
- 8:33Speaker 5: All right, hold on real quick, okay, So while we
- 8:36Speaker 5: were away we got actually three articles, Willkie. There were
- 8:39Speaker 5: two on the thirtieth, How Legends are for and keyboards Recap,
- 8:42Speaker 5: so celebration recap.
- 8:43Speaker 3: We finally got it before the new year. Way to go, gig.
- 8:46Speaker 3: You made it in time. I appreciate that. The one
- 8:48Speaker 3: that does matter?
- 8:50Speaker 2: What wait, hold on, hold on late? What is it?
- 8:54Speaker 2: What is what is in Like? How do we determine
- 8:57Speaker 2: what's an in time type deal?
- 9:01Speaker 5: Well, I'm now putting in time in reference to within
- 9:04Speaker 5: the next calendar year. So like give enough that should
- 9:09Speaker 5: that should give enough of grace to gg.
- 9:11Speaker 2: So what do we have a vault? The very first
- 9:14Speaker 2: vault this year. As long as they release it by
- 9:16Speaker 2: the release the information by the end of twenty twenty six,
- 9:19Speaker 2: that's fine.
- 9:22Speaker 6: Yeah, sid Sidney tried to play a power game to
- 9:26Speaker 6: get them to release information early. What anybody listened to
- 9:32Speaker 6: the last out from future Self now yet no reading.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Sidney said she was going to pay for a person's
- 9:43Speaker 6: travel to a vault, up to five people. Right, But
- 9:48Speaker 6: each week that we don't get dates for a vault,
- 9:52Speaker 6: one of those potential free transportations goes away, and then.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Like two days later, hold on as says, uh, you'll
- 10:04Speaker 4: get dates at some time in February.
- 10:06Speaker 6: So basically nobody, nobody's getting a free ride.
- 10:11Speaker 2: What what did what did you say we were going
- 10:13Speaker 2: to release a dress car February thirty never or what
- 10:16Speaker 2: was it? Yeah? Thirty first, that is what I said.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Is it a leap year this year? I don't know,
- 10:26Speaker 2: so you might want to say that just in case
- 10:27Speaker 2: it is a leap year, but it is not. I
- 10:30Speaker 2: just looked, but we did get we did get the
- 10:33Speaker 2: uh get the article kind of outlining the year, and
- 10:40Speaker 2: it looks, weirdly enough, like the same from last year.
- 10:44Speaker 6: Well, I mean I changed it releases are back on
- 10:50Speaker 6: the schedule. It'll be interesting to see if they do
- 10:53Speaker 6: any changes with the pre release to make it maybe
- 10:58Speaker 6: more interesting for law long term players. I mean, it's
- 11:01Speaker 6: still playing key Fords.
- 11:02Speaker 2: It's fine, right, it's still playing key Ford like I
- 11:07Speaker 2: don't know, just still with game found like okay.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Yeah, it wasn't worth going to worlds for prizes. Why
- 11:13Speaker 6: would you think that the prelease would have.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Prices insidey three and you're gonna play some key Fords,
- 11:22Speaker 4: It's gonna be fun.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Inside each pre release kid is a twenty twenty three
- 11:26Speaker 2: Vault Master back. Those are the special one twenty four.
- 11:32Speaker 6: I guess one way to do it would be to
- 11:34Speaker 6: either guarantee every prelease pack either had a foil or
- 11:39Speaker 6: an art in it, MM, one of the you know,
- 11:43Speaker 6: one of the dude like Chase. They could guarantee it
- 11:48Speaker 6: in the pre release, you know, by guaranteed to get
- 11:50Speaker 6: one of the full art taxes.
- 11:52Speaker 2: That would be worth it, yeah something.
- 11:53Speaker 6: I mean that's something that I don't know how easy
- 11:57Speaker 6: that'd be for packaging and all that crap, but it
- 11:59Speaker 6: shouldn't them ridiculous amounts of extra money.
- 12:03Speaker 2: And don't worry, they will find a way to screw
- 12:05Speaker 2: it up. Yeah, so someone will have to get get
- 12:09Speaker 2: on the support line, to which may or may not
- 12:11Speaker 2: be answered.
- 12:14Speaker 3: So I mean you're you're talking here.
- 12:16Speaker 5: In the first two articles that were released, basically they
- 12:19Speaker 5: just go through stats from the last chance qualifier decks
- 12:22Speaker 5: of the Yeah we're noting those, No, not at all,
- 12:26Speaker 5: But then the recap goes ahead with Okay, what actually happened.
- 12:29Speaker 5: It's still nice to see, but if you haven't taken
- 12:32Speaker 5: a peek read it, kind of go through it. I
- 12:34Speaker 5: think what does matters what you guys are talking about.
- 12:37Speaker 5: For the article that was released essentially on Friday, So yeah,
- 12:42Speaker 5: I know that some Well, I wasn't feeling one hundred
- 12:45Speaker 5: percent on Thursday, and sleeping for thirteen hours was actually a.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Really good choice.
- 12:49Speaker 5: So that gave us a little bit more time because
- 12:52Speaker 5: we got the article on Friday. But it's interesting to
- 12:56Speaker 5: see what local play or organized play is for the
- 12:59Speaker 5: next upcoming year.
- 13:03Speaker 6: I got one event a quarter. Essentially, we'll be doing great.
- 13:06Speaker 6: We get storre Champs, then we get pre released, then
- 13:08Speaker 6: we get storyline, then maybe second pre release.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Yeah, second another pre release.
- 13:15Speaker 5: In there, and supposedly didn't sheep you can actually probably
- 13:21Speaker 5: look at this. But starting next week you can pre
- 13:23Speaker 5: order your store your twenty twenty six store Championship kits.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Oh that's the other one. There's the new new Player Kit.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Yeah's you.
- 13:34Speaker 6: We'll see if those become available.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Okay, well, I mean it's still it's still a week out.
- 13:38Speaker 3: But I.
- 13:41Speaker 5: The new player kit did not like we're all experienced
- 13:44Speaker 5: players at our local, so it did not bring anyone
- 13:46Speaker 5: out like the Mars event did the first year.
- 13:50Speaker 2: You know what, I was just looking at this. There's
- 13:52Speaker 2: no storyline event done here? Yeah, there is no. No,
- 13:57Speaker 2: there's a special event, yes.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Special event. Yeah, okay, and it is listed up above
- 14:06Speaker 3: for it.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Okay, okay, never mind, I guess there is one.
- 14:14Speaker 6: Okay, we minded never next.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Next, I'm down. What else you got? Do you walk
- 14:21Speaker 2: from the article? Anything? And I mean we we've kind
- 14:23Speaker 2: of gone our road through this already. Yeah, I mean,
- 14:26Speaker 2: because you know, we got this in the in the uh,
- 14:30Speaker 2: in the.
- 14:31Speaker 6: It's just gonna be interesting that how long between when
- 14:37Speaker 6: pre release kits go for sale and when we're supposed
- 14:40Speaker 6: to run the pre release that'll be that'll be the
- 14:44Speaker 6: interesting thing to see, right because like they got to
- 14:49Speaker 6: be put up for sale and able to be processed
- 14:52Speaker 6: and shipped and delivered to stores at the right time.
- 14:55Speaker 6: And I mean that hasn't worked well with any of
- 14:57Speaker 6: our other kids lately. So hopefully hopefully they work out
- 15:00Speaker 6: that timing to where it's not you have three days
- 15:05Speaker 6: to order these.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Oops they're all sold out?
- 15:10Speaker 3: Yeah right, I miss, I don't know.
- 15:14Speaker 5: I was thinking about this as I was reading the article.
- 15:17Speaker 5: This one definitely jumped out at me. This bothers me.
- 15:19Speaker 5: The pre release event timing is just weird with key
- 15:22Speaker 5: forge because of the community size being small. Most people
- 15:27Speaker 5: frankly have gone ahead and purchased decks and game found
- 15:30Speaker 5: or like, we have draconian measures so we've already played
- 15:33Speaker 5: it at KFC.
- 15:35Speaker 3: So I don't know about you guys.
- 15:36Speaker 5: But like the hype for local pre release is really
- 15:40Speaker 5: missing compared to sheep.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Why are you not shushing him? You just shushed me.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I literally just said the same thing, and you're like,
- 15:49Speaker 2: shut up, dummy, play key form. Shush wiki.
- 15:53Speaker 6: You're saying, you were saying that there's no value in
- 15:58Speaker 6: doing it. JR. Was saying he's not exciting.
- 16:02Speaker 5: Yeah, and and and so I don't know, is it
- 16:07Speaker 5: really that big of a deal. If we have a
- 16:09Speaker 5: pre release event before the game found decks get to there,
- 16:13Speaker 5: we know there.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Is a bunch of people that don't show up to
- 16:18Speaker 6: KFC and that will be the first time they're playing
- 16:22Speaker 6: with their own Sleepy Dragon's decks. It's gonna I mean,
- 16:27Speaker 6: it's the first time you're gonna play Sleepy Dragons sealed
- 16:31Speaker 6: in a store, right, That's that's what the event is.
- 16:33Speaker 6: But don't but whatever.
- 16:36Speaker 5: But it misses the hype.
- 16:40Speaker 6: People because because anything that's released by game found directly
- 16:45Speaker 6: to consumers, there is no hype for the stores. It's
- 16:49Speaker 6: it's a thrashold disaster because it's like, you know, if
- 16:53Speaker 6: you pre order through the store, you're probably gonna get
- 16:55Speaker 6: it later then you're gonna get it if you ordered
- 16:56Speaker 6: it direct, that's not what it's about. You're you're not
- 17:03Speaker 6: going to ever get that hype on a pre release
- 17:05Speaker 6: in a game where you get stuff directly from the
- 17:10Speaker 6: come benny even earlier. Often it's just and that's just
- 17:16Speaker 6: the first time the store can sell stuff. So they
- 17:19Speaker 6: got to put something in the pre release to make
- 17:22Speaker 6: it a little enticing.
- 17:24Speaker 5: The other games that I played from Star Wars Minis
- 17:26Speaker 5: to Mach Warrior, like, those were just weekends that I
- 17:30Speaker 5: looked forward to.
- 17:31Speaker 3: I was so excited we would play.
- 17:32Speaker 6: But they were actually pre releases. They're not actually pre
- 17:35Speaker 6: releases in this game, their first I know, commercial.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Release, I know, but I miss I missed that hype
- 17:41Speaker 5: as I was reading the article. That's what stood out
- 17:43Speaker 5: to me is because of Game Found, and Game Found
- 17:46Speaker 5: really wasn't a major entity when I was playing the
- 17:49Speaker 5: other games, so it's just a different time period.
- 17:52Speaker 3: But I miss I miss.
- 17:54Speaker 5: Just the the hype of being able to go ahead
- 17:57Speaker 5: and look at cards for the first time, try it out,
- 17:59Speaker 5: see it, have fun, cracking some decks and yeah it's there.
- 18:03Speaker 5: But having players who already have it in their hands
- 18:07Speaker 5: from Game Found really takes away a lot of the fun.
- 18:10Speaker 5: I don't know about you guys, It just it was something.
- 18:12Speaker 5: As I was reading the article, I was like, that's
- 18:14Speaker 5: a that's a real bummer because I missed those days.
- 18:17Speaker 2: That was my point I created to make, But clearly
- 18:20Speaker 2: something got misconstrued somewhere along the way. Is it's not
- 18:24Speaker 2: really a pre release.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Those aren't the words you used.
- 18:29Speaker 2: What words did I use? I'm going to go back
- 18:30Speaker 2: and Listen, you.
- 18:32Speaker 6: You were directly saying that there was no You're not
- 18:35Speaker 6: you were you were commenting on that you get nothing
- 18:38Speaker 6: for doing it.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Okay, I'll say yes, No, My point was exactly what
- 18:45Speaker 2: ewok said, Like, is there a reason for doing a
- 18:48Speaker 2: pre release when it's is it really a pre release?
- 18:52Speaker 2: When there are.
- 18:54Speaker 6: A handful of people it will be the first time
- 18:57Speaker 6: for them. You're just we're just not that group, right,
- 19:00Speaker 6: but they're they're you know, like in theory, that's gonna
- 19:06Speaker 6: be the first time that Pete and mister perfect.
- 19:10Speaker 2: No, because they'll have their game. Yeah, maybe, I mean probably.
- 19:17Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, is like with the game Found. Now,
- 19:20Speaker 2: if this came out pregame Found Okay, now it's a
- 19:24Speaker 2: pre release, but it's not I.
- 19:26Speaker 6: Mean to me, it's still just the first sealed tournament
- 19:28Speaker 6: of the thing. That's great.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Yeah, and we do we just use it as an
- 19:33Speaker 4: excuse to play three decks sealed. I mean that's what
- 19:36Speaker 4: we do, right, like because every other week is kind
- 19:39Speaker 4: of one deck sealed right where it's like play one deck,
- 19:42Speaker 4: but if you really hate it, just open another one.
- 19:46Speaker 4: But this is more like no, no, you open the
- 19:48Speaker 4: three decks and you pick one and you have to
- 19:50Speaker 4: stick with it. So it's like a little more Rigoro.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Well you can stick with you know, change out within
- 19:55Speaker 4: the three. But like you know, we play more serious
- 19:59Speaker 4: man in that way we try to get.
- 20:01Speaker 2: That would be the world right there? The world where
- 20:04Speaker 2: like tournament play is three decks sealed and then seal
- 20:09Speaker 2: the alliance. That would that would that's really the dream?
- 20:14Speaker 2: Right is that not the dream? I feel like that's the.
- 20:17Speaker 5: I mean, yes, sealed is the best format. We know that,
- 20:21Speaker 5: there's no question about it. I guess my question is, boys,
- 20:25Speaker 5: would it actually bother you if the local stores for
- 20:28Speaker 5: the one week had an event or any Game Found
- 20:35Speaker 5: was able to go ahead and so basically they have
- 20:37Speaker 5: it set for their date.
- 20:38Speaker 6: And people would be limit people. People get so livid
- 20:44Speaker 6: on Game Found if they retail people get it first.
- 20:49Speaker 3: But I'm saying, I'm blah blah blah.
- 20:53Speaker 5: But wouldn't that not publish you to a store if
- 20:56Speaker 5: it was for one If it was for one weekend,
- 20:58Speaker 5: you could hear here you have it for basically the
- 21:00Speaker 5: one week.
- 21:01Speaker 3: You're running it during the week or you're running it
- 21:02Speaker 3: on the weekday.
- 21:03Speaker 6: Well sure, but I think you're.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Again, it's a bad idea, but I think they can't.
- 21:07Speaker 6: They can't poison their Game Found Well because that's where
- 21:11Speaker 6: they make enough money to keep printing stuff. I really
- 21:14Speaker 6: think the biggest advantage of this pre release pre release
- 21:18Speaker 6: is that the store and theory can get a count
- 21:21Speaker 6: on head and know they're going to sell three decks
- 21:23Speaker 6: to every one of those people on one day. You
- 21:25Speaker 6: pay money for the store. That's it. That's what the
- 21:27Speaker 6: pre release is for. Make some money for the store.
- 21:30Speaker 6: It's the first it's the first event of the sets.
- 21:32Speaker 6: After that you can go back to your You know,
- 21:35Speaker 6: people are bringing their decks from home or whatever they're doing,
- 21:39Speaker 6: but yeah, you're buying three. You know, you got to
- 21:41Speaker 6: go to your store and at least give them some
- 21:42Speaker 6: money once this year.
- 21:48Speaker 2: It is it? Is it? You said it would be
- 21:50Speaker 2: that big a deal, like really really, like if it
- 21:53Speaker 2: twice a year, I don't think there you're there twice
- 21:56Speaker 2: a year. The store is allowed now an event, that
- 21:59Speaker 2: is some people are allowed to buy it before you
- 22:02Speaker 2: get your Game Found pledge.
- 22:05Speaker 5: I mean, and it may come out, it may come
- 22:07Speaker 5: out seriously another four weeks later or three weeks later,
- 22:12Speaker 5: but that should give enough time.
- 22:13Speaker 3: For all the I don't know. I just I'm telling you.
- 22:16Speaker 6: I know, I know, I know they're going to be
- 22:20Speaker 6: livid about it.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Yeah they would, but it just the store needs just
- 22:30Speaker 5: that one insteadive anyway, the stores will I'll be buying it. Yeah,
- 22:35Speaker 5: the stores will have their special event. It was listeninger
- 22:38Speaker 5: special event. Woo you talked earlier but late August and
- 22:40Speaker 5: then you play through September that was listed just under
- 22:45Speaker 5: different wording. I what do you guys think April to
- 22:48Speaker 5: September for US vaults? No, no, the US vaults Yeah,
- 22:54Speaker 5: so sorry, vaults will be April to September. But the
- 22:57Speaker 5: US vaults will be getting in May. You are correct,
- 23:00Speaker 5: and that is important.
- 23:01Speaker 6: I still don't I mean what, maybe maybe Riku could
- 23:06Speaker 6: have his stuff scheduled and run early. I just don't
- 23:09Speaker 6: see anybody else having their stuff together to do it.
- 23:13Speaker 6: Everybody else always seems to be last minute, and they're
- 23:15Speaker 6: announcing their vault less than a month before it's supposed
- 23:17Speaker 6: to be running late in the year.
- 23:21Speaker 5: I mean, I'll throw myself out there, but the announcement
- 23:24Speaker 5: of the twenty twenty six vaults is a huge, huge
- 23:27Speaker 5: bummer to me.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Like this especially still not even coming.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Up because they.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Well correct.
- 23:33Speaker 5: What I'm saying is like this is it's unacceptable. At
- 23:38Speaker 5: this point, I have plans for most of June, July
- 23:41Speaker 5: is already.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Started to fill out.
- 23:42Speaker 6: June's done.
- 23:44Speaker 5: These dates and locations need to frankly be shared by KFC,
- 23:49Speaker 5: like when KFC finishes, tell the players where it is.
- 23:53Speaker 5: Announcing in February is just so unacceptable in my opinion,
- 23:56Speaker 5: like we are missing out on events and what can
- 23:59Speaker 5: act happen We have a small enough player base already
- 24:06Speaker 5: announce the events that are there. Hey, KFC, if you're
- 24:08Speaker 5: going to change, if you're going to change a location
- 24:11Speaker 5: or two out of what the US is, No, no,
- 24:15Speaker 5: no no. But I'm saying, if you're going to change,
- 24:17Speaker 5: just like here's one, or if you're repeating any of
- 24:19Speaker 5: the events that we went to last year in twenty
- 24:21Speaker 5: twenty five, say here's where we're going again. I was
- 24:25Speaker 5: talking to Tear about this. She said, why don't you just,
- 24:27Speaker 5: like I don't know, build some hype and you can
- 24:29Speaker 5: release one at a time if you're not going to
- 24:31Speaker 5: release them initially. But oh, here this week, we're going
- 24:36Speaker 5: to tell you that this East Goes Vaults is coming
- 24:38Speaker 5: back or this vaults is coming back in Rossa whatever
- 24:41Speaker 5: it is them.
- 24:44Speaker 2: But you don't know the like when there.
- 24:48Speaker 6: But I'm saying, hype it up juggling and they don't
- 24:51Speaker 6: want to change anything after announcement. I've done that and
- 24:56Speaker 6: that doesn't go well.
- 24:58Speaker 3: But if you, if we have.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Go back into your sleuth mode, go and start calling
- 25:03Speaker 4: these hotels and ask them about booking their hotel blocks.
- 25:06Speaker 6: And somebody I put that suggestion out. Somebody did that.
- 25:13Speaker 6: I know the results, but it's being released elsewhere. So
- 25:16Speaker 6: that's not for us to spoil.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Because I didn't. Oh what saying is Sydney did that,
- 25:27Speaker 2: So listen to.
- 25:28Speaker 6: Sydney did the work, so Sydney gets to spoil it. Yeah,
- 25:31Speaker 6: Like if you want any real key Ford inmporation anymore,
- 25:34Speaker 6: go listen to Sydney.
- 25:38Speaker 2: You want to hear some some guy's bitch and mode
- 25:41Speaker 2: hang around. That's that's I mean, that's just what we're
- 25:45Speaker 2: known for.
- 25:47Speaker 5: We're the old girl peyo, mean, I get it. I
- 25:49Speaker 5: just I don't know. I think that I.
- 25:51Speaker 6: Still make things happen, it's just not here.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I just I don't know.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I just I look at KFC boys and there's such
- 26:01Speaker 5: hype at that point, you're finishing the year, you have
- 26:03Speaker 5: your World champions. Before we leave, we should be told
- 26:07Speaker 5: here's here's the locations and here's the dates. If you
- 26:09Speaker 5: don't have all of them, let's say you have three
- 26:12Speaker 5: of them or two of them. You say, here's the
- 26:13Speaker 5: two that we have. They're not changing. So like that
- 26:16Speaker 5: argument of that they could change. No, they're set. You're
- 26:19Speaker 5: going here, we will have two together.
- 26:22Speaker 6: They're set. We don't know anything.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Why would why would it not be set?
- 26:28Speaker 2: But that life hold on, here's the class, Yes, why
- 26:32Speaker 2: would it? See? This is how they because.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Because you're running at every single.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Every thing those galaxies is by the seat of their pants.
- 26:44Speaker 2: You know this. Nothing has changed since twenty twenty two.
- 26:48Speaker 6: They might not even have decided they were running Vault
- 26:51Speaker 6: tours until like while they were writing the the announcements
- 26:57Speaker 6: for KFC and they're like, yeah, we did did nwfl'll run,
- 27:00Speaker 6: so put it in there. We'll do them.
- 27:01Speaker 3: That.
- 27:02Speaker 6: That was one of the like in red on the PowerPoint,
- 27:05Speaker 6: things like happening not happening, happening not happening still coin.
- 27:10Speaker 5: So so here's the thing for any anywhere, Hold on
- 27:14Speaker 5: one second, dress for any work, they ask you, what
- 27:17Speaker 5: is happening, what's your five year outlook, what's your ten
- 27:19Speaker 5: year outlook? So here we are not even one year
- 27:22Speaker 5: out that we can go ahead and say, you know
- 27:23Speaker 5: what we're gonna run.
- 27:24Speaker 2: This company doesn't know if they're going to be around
- 27:27Speaker 2: in twenty twenty seven.
- 27:29Speaker 6: They have that is not We don't even do a
- 27:32Speaker 6: one week outlook at my job. We're always on the scramble.
- 27:38Speaker 5: You're telling me, sheep that you don't know what your
- 27:42Speaker 5: section of your work is going to look like. I
- 27:44Speaker 5: guarantee someone in your company has an understanding of what
- 27:47Speaker 5: your goal is.
- 27:48Speaker 3: That's the whole trajectory.
- 27:49Speaker 5: You don't just fly every single day like I don't
- 27:54Speaker 5: believe that.
- 27:55Speaker 6: You've set that stuff and then you change it constantly
- 27:57Speaker 6: because some metric or some garbage change and you said,
- 28:00Speaker 6: well that targets are realistic, so we're gonna change it.
- 28:04Speaker 5: Hey, the numbers were really good in Baltimore. We've loved
- 28:08Speaker 5: working with you. Would you have a date next year
- 28:10Speaker 5: that we could set up? Oh you mean we just
- 28:12Speaker 5: finished the vault this weekend? Yeah, well next year about
- 28:15Speaker 5: this time? Work great, let's tentatively pencil this in we'll
- 28:17Speaker 5: get the contract to you around the beginning of November.
- 28:21Speaker 6: You're you're assuming going to know that stuff? You just
- 28:26Speaker 6: I mean like, I mean, I I'm I'm with Wookie,
- 28:29Speaker 6: I'm I don't. I don't think they're set to schedule.
- 28:35Speaker 2: I I don't think that they have their ship together
- 28:38Speaker 2: enough to even tell ee.
- 28:40Speaker 3: I don't.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I don't like, honestly, I don't like.
- 28:43Speaker 3: I don't.
- 28:43Speaker 6: I don't think they're working on a two year time horizon.
- 28:46Speaker 6: They're working on I don't six month time horizons. Months.
- 28:50Speaker 6: I think it's quarterby.
- 28:52Speaker 2: I think it's I think I think some things are
- 28:54Speaker 2: six months out, some things are a year out. But
- 28:58Speaker 2: there are some things that they're just like even see that.
- 29:00Speaker 6: In the language for whatever whatever set fallows d M
- 29:06Speaker 6: even the language, and that is like, hope we can
- 29:10Speaker 6: put it out next year. But yeah, we'll see.
- 29:13Speaker 7: What happens estimated regardless, I'm I will say that my
- 29:19Speaker 7: summer is mostly filled up at this point, full month,
- 29:23Speaker 7: a month and a half, and we're losing people who
- 29:26Speaker 7: are committed in this game to going to events.
- 29:29Speaker 3: It's sad.
- 29:30Speaker 5: I don't think waiting until February is a good choice
- 29:33Speaker 5: for most people so that committed.
- 29:37Speaker 2: When did they release last year? It wasn't a February
- 29:40Speaker 2: last year that they released. It was kind of late
- 29:43Speaker 2: again last Yeah, I mean this is this is just
- 29:47Speaker 2: last year.
- 29:50Speaker 3: I will look that up. I'll look up.
- 29:52Speaker 6: This is why we're not even going to start our
- 29:54Speaker 6: top ten list because time.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Well, according according to mister chair, were six.
- 30:02Speaker 6: And a half.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Again, some of these are some of these things are.
- 30:07Speaker 6: But we got about the same things we bitched about
- 30:09Speaker 6: last year.
- 30:11Speaker 5: Well, I disagree. I think that this this is the
- 30:14Speaker 5: article that's here.
- 30:16Speaker 6: The question, the question market we had last year.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yeah, do we complain? Says do we just lower our expectations? Expectations?
- 30:26Speaker 6: I've lowered my expectations. I'm just trying to get you
- 30:29Speaker 6: guys to join me.
- 30:32Speaker 3: National Championship still out. Yes, it's where Boults, aren't.
- 30:36Speaker 5: I think that we could just have it all as
- 30:38Speaker 5: one word phrase instead of call it nationals, called champions
- 30:41Speaker 5: colle vaults. I don't care, but they're essentially very similar
- 30:44Speaker 5: in my opinion. Gen Con is returning, gen Con is returning,
- 30:49Speaker 5: and and uh they listed this really weird twenty twenty
- 30:54Speaker 5: six World Championships. World Championships are Pinnacle Capstone ways to
- 30:59Speaker 5: be able to participation is contingent on a World Championship invite,
- 31:04Speaker 5: and they list seven of the ways, But boys, what
- 31:08Speaker 5: is what is six? Any alternative method? Ghost Galaxy designates
- 31:12Speaker 5: his World Championship qualifying including one off events.
- 31:17Speaker 2: What so what? Wow?
- 31:21Speaker 4: So this is where everybody pick up your phone, dial
- 31:25Speaker 4: Christian T. Peterson that Necho should be qualifying. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:36Speaker 4: dial that yep, and then.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Like, hey, steamy time, press one.
- 31:49Speaker 6: Janet's voice.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Will you join me in jazz go for a steamy time?
- 31:54Speaker 2: Press words?
- 31:58Speaker 4: Yes, I'm in for this, speaking of a Stevie time
- 32:03Speaker 4: I did over Christmas, Like I finally my computer was
- 32:06Speaker 4: like old and dying, so I finally got a new
- 32:08Speaker 4: computer so I can actually play games again. So I
- 32:10Speaker 4: started playing steampunk. There's some steamy times in steam, song Punk, Cyberpunk,
- 32:15Speaker 4: cyber twenty seven. That's what I'm trying to say. Cyber
- 32:18Speaker 4: some steamy time and cyberpunk is there.
- 32:22Speaker 2: No interesting? All right?
- 32:24Speaker 4: But Necho that go is important. Necho's big, Necho's coming,
- 32:28Speaker 4: so Maybecho's.
- 32:30Speaker 6: The only thing that it's We got Necho and we
- 32:34Speaker 6: got World. I have them both in my calendar. So
- 32:37Speaker 6: those two things will happen. Everything else may not appen.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Happen.
- 32:43Speaker 4: Yep, Necho is January thirty first through February first. It's
- 32:47Speaker 4: that weekend. Got we got a whole bunch of folks.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Folks I would be missing the annual Hey Dudes flots
- 32:56Speaker 4: party coming in. Folks are flying into Philly on front.
- 33:00Speaker 4: We're gonna hang out Friday night. We're gonna play some
- 33:03Speaker 4: key Forde Saturday Sunday, then probably play some board games,
- 33:08Speaker 4: play more games on Monday at Consad drascoors As until
- 33:15Speaker 4: folks fly out.
- 33:16Speaker 2: So it should be.
- 33:19Speaker 4: Should be a ton of fun. I'm really looking forward
- 33:21Speaker 4: to it, all right, power.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Party, So go to Necho, play some games, play some
- 33:27Speaker 2: key Forge, do some things. It'll be a good time,
- 33:32Speaker 2: all right. Moving in, do we want to start with
- 33:34Speaker 2: the worst or the best?
- 33:37Speaker 6: The worst? We can try to end on positivity the world.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Okay, we'll add in a positive manner. So I'm gonna
- 33:44Speaker 2: go off for Sheep's list.
- 33:46Speaker 3: This is bananas here, or you could just use our
- 33:49Speaker 3: ac show notes. So we've already covered two of those, right,
- 33:52Speaker 3: But okay, so move the worst.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Moving the vault to our dinner to Wednesday night. I
- 33:57Speaker 2: don't know if that was the worst worst.
- 34:00Speaker 3: It wasn't good.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 34:03Speaker 6: It made Sydney's party really good.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it was naw, that was fine. I
- 34:09Speaker 2: don't know who put this in here.
- 34:11Speaker 5: That I did, because not everyone can make it, and
- 34:13Speaker 5: some of the people who've actually qualified, who had that
- 34:16Speaker 5: coming to them, they just oh, hey, it doesn't work
- 34:19Speaker 5: for us, so we're just gonna move it even earlier,
- 34:21Speaker 5: Like the chance for people to be able to leave work.
- 34:24Speaker 5: You're already missing Thursday and Friday and then or some
- 34:27Speaker 5: on the back end on Monday. Like, not everyone can
- 34:29Speaker 5: take a full week off of for this event. Like
- 34:33Speaker 5: that is something that has to be kept in mind.
- 34:35Speaker 5: I think that I have to stick up for some
- 34:37Speaker 5: of the Vault Warriors who actually qualified, who didn't get
- 34:40Speaker 5: to enjoy their their meal and their dinner. Yes, Sydney
- 34:43Speaker 5: has been runing to great events, but that is something
- 34:46Speaker 5: that's something that could be done better.
- 34:48Speaker 6: You know, it's it's closer and closer to popping from
- 34:52Speaker 6: my pin and my free drink and head right back
- 34:54Speaker 6: out next year. Well, unless the restaurant improves.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Yeah, what is that place called?
- 35:06Speaker 3: I mean the.
- 35:07Speaker 6: Foods the foods adequate, but like there's nothing.
- 35:11Speaker 5: It's just like, well, again, I think that it's not
- 35:18Speaker 5: just to connect with the GG staff.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I think that there should be some more information us insiders.
- 35:23Speaker 5: You should get some informations like be able to talk
- 35:27Speaker 5: to people about the game in a meaningful way of Well,
- 35:30Speaker 5: but no, and again I don't.
- 35:32Speaker 3: I'm not there because I'm a big deuce. So apparently
- 35:35Speaker 3: I haven't gotten out of that.
- 35:37Speaker 6: But they're not going to give up any special information
- 35:41Speaker 6: that they weren't already planning and giving up.
- 35:44Speaker 5: But these are the people who've again invested so much
- 35:47Speaker 5: time and done very well. They're there are a number
- 35:50Speaker 5: of individuals have actually put cards.
- 35:52Speaker 6: In, we got game, food, a drink in a pin
- 35:55Speaker 6: like that's what you guys are doing? Good.
- 35:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I value people in a different manner. So again
- 36:00Speaker 5: I'm just saying the chance to move it to Wednesday
- 36:02Speaker 5: night is even bigger kick in the junk.
- 36:03Speaker 3: So for me, it was on the worst and that's
- 36:05Speaker 3: why I had it.
- 36:06Speaker 6: One of my others was that I don't know because
- 36:09Speaker 6: if it's on a Thursday or a Friday or a Saturday,
- 36:12Speaker 6: then I have to skip out on the stuff that
- 36:15Speaker 6: everybody's there for so it's like it's just there's no
- 36:18Speaker 6: I don't think there's any great answer for it. What
- 36:21Speaker 6: I want I want a nicely catered lunch on World's Day.
- 36:25Speaker 4: That's all that I want to be.
- 36:29Speaker 6: Like, dude, you guys have won. You don't have to
- 36:32Speaker 6: go anywhere, you don't have to do anythwhere to bring in
- 36:34Speaker 6: some really nice food at lunch. So when it's lunchtime,
- 36:36Speaker 6: come over here, world champions. Let all the plubs watch
- 36:39Speaker 6: you eat fancy food and uh and then just go
- 36:42Speaker 6: on with your day. That's that's all. That would be
- 36:45Speaker 6: fine by.
- 36:46Speaker 5: Me, which actually would be pretty easy with one of
- 36:49Speaker 5: the back rooms and that you guys could go in there.
- 36:51Speaker 6: Oh no, I want it right there where you all
- 36:53Speaker 6: get to watch meat.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Well, that's just but I'm gonna go ahead and yeah it's.
- 36:59Speaker 6: The glass, But I want to I want to be
- 37:02Speaker 6: up on the stage. I want you all to be
- 37:04Speaker 6: a little bit lower than me, and I just want
- 37:06Speaker 6: you to know.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Would you like me to down to you too?
- 37:10Speaker 6: Sarah?
- 37:10Speaker 2: Is that is that?
- 37:11Speaker 6: Actually?
- 37:12Speaker 7: Yes?
- 37:12Speaker 6: If you would then serve the food, it.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Would be better.
- 37:15Speaker 5: Oh my god, would you would you like all the
- 37:18Speaker 5: second places to just come and serve it to you.
- 37:20Speaker 6: Is that what you be looking for, just the Minnesota deuce.
- 37:24Speaker 5: Well, I would gladly go ahead and serve you because
- 37:27Speaker 5: I believe that's important to be able to serve others.
- 37:29Speaker 3: So I'm I'm fine with this.
- 37:30Speaker 6: You'd be like barking around off stage, I can throw
- 37:34Speaker 6: you scraped.
- 37:36Speaker 3: I would push it back.
- 37:37Speaker 5: But I will say on my since since this moving
- 37:43Speaker 5: border dinner was really my issue that I had as
- 37:46Speaker 5: one of the worst, I also had the pre release
- 37:47Speaker 5: event timing, I just I think that it conflicts and
- 37:52Speaker 5: it really takes away from the prelease kind of having
- 37:54Speaker 5: fun because of game found KFC and we also talked
- 37:57Speaker 5: about the vaults, so those were mine of them that
- 38:00Speaker 5: were there.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Well, I will give until Fabar is there. I will
- 38:05Speaker 2: give you certain darkness being how could the.
- 38:09Speaker 6: Vaults be on the worst of twenty twenty five that
- 38:12Speaker 6: happened in twenty twenty six.
- 38:14Speaker 5: The announcement of the twenty twenty six vaults, because it
- 38:16Speaker 5: didn't happen in twenty twenty five.
- 38:19Speaker 2: That's mo Yeah, that's the worst for next year. Yeah, okay,
- 38:26Speaker 2: I will.
- 38:27Speaker 5: I will reat it from twenty twenty five because the
- 38:31Speaker 5: faults weren't announced for this year until late.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Well, I mean that weren't announced last year till lady either.
- 38:37Speaker 2: But I will give you distribution of certain That's what
- 38:41Speaker 2: I'm saying, Wikie, okay, sweet, Yeah, we got that out
- 38:45Speaker 2: of the way.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Let's move on.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Distribution of Certain Darkness was honky tonk dog water. That
- 38:51Speaker 2: was terrible, like trying to hustle to announce.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Some short short window to open it then immediately sold out,
- 39:02Speaker 4: which they.
- 39:03Speaker 6: Then did at reprinting, but it came, it came in
- 39:05Speaker 6: time to use it. But it was just yeah, that
- 39:08Speaker 6: was that was real weird. And then I don't know,
- 39:12Speaker 6: I mean, like, yeah, the whole release and dealing with
- 39:15Speaker 6: that was was not good. And my just my fear
- 39:20Speaker 6: is because then after that, I feel like a similar
- 39:23Speaker 6: thing happened with the game Found for Draconian Measures and Stores,
- 39:27Speaker 6: which was previously you could always pledge several up through
- 39:32Speaker 6: like the end of the Pledge Manager, you could do
- 39:35Speaker 6: your store pledge, but if you didn't do your store
- 39:38Speaker 6: pledge before the game Found closed, you didn't get to
- 39:42Speaker 6: do a store pledge. So my store didn't do a
- 39:46Speaker 6: store pledge because I didn't get it in on time,
- 39:50Speaker 6: so now we get none of the foil specialty things,
- 39:53Speaker 6: which all there is is those foil stacks this year.
- 39:56Speaker 6: But I don't know, like there announcement timing to the
- 40:01Speaker 6: size of the window and the hard cutoff on their
- 40:04Speaker 6: stuff has been really bad, and they're there's like, well,
- 40:07Speaker 6: we sent out an email. It's like these emails potentially
- 40:11Speaker 6: go to the wrong people because they're going to purchasing
- 40:15Speaker 6: people at a lot of accounts, because that's the account
- 40:17Speaker 6: that's set up to buy from Ghost Galaxies, the retail count.
- 40:20Speaker 6: It's some purchasing person's account and they're dealing with paying
- 40:24Speaker 6: bills and stuff. They're not reading every every weekly update
- 40:28Speaker 6: from Ghost Galaxy, right right, because like you got your
- 40:32Speaker 6: weekly update from Ghost Galaxy. Who sells your number seven
- 40:36Speaker 6: hundred and second best selling game in your store and
- 40:39Speaker 6: that's it. Oh and you're twelve thousands because they got
- 40:42Speaker 6: mind Bug or you can or you can read your
- 40:47Speaker 6: you know, like Wizards of the Coast one and yeah,
- 40:52Speaker 6: it was just like that that window is so small.
- 40:57Speaker 6: There's no if you do gret there's no salesmen, right
- 41:03Speaker 6: Like a lot of these other companies, you have a
- 41:07Speaker 6: salesperson who like if you normally buy stuff from them,
- 41:10Speaker 6: and they like, you know, because they're all commission basically
- 41:13Speaker 6: go like, hey, you haven't ordered this new thing, buy
- 41:16Speaker 6: some stuff so I can make some money. And you go, oh, yeah,
- 41:19Speaker 6: I needed to buy that, thanks for you know, catching
- 41:21Speaker 6: it because I miss it. But now that's not how
- 41:23Speaker 6: GG works. It's it's all on the store to take
- 41:27Speaker 6: care of everything.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Hey, So what I'm saying is a lot of hold on,
- 41:33Speaker 2: do you want to buy some things?
- 41:37Speaker 7: Yeah, you want to buy some more discover me, you
- 41:40Speaker 7: want to buy Janet?
- 41:43Speaker 3: Janet?
- 41:44Speaker 5: Just here where Marty in our AC live show notes
- 41:47Speaker 5: is gonna our a c live show has going ahead
- 41:49Speaker 5: and posted that last year was January sixteenth of twenty
- 41:52Speaker 5: twenty five when we found out about vault tours, So
- 41:54Speaker 5: that would be this upcoming Friday.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm sure they're on it on time.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Still still a fail from the.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Again, like I feel like they don't even know when.
- 42:08Speaker 2: They might know like two or three of them, but
- 42:11Speaker 2: I still feel like they don't know when all the
- 42:14Speaker 2: vaults are going to be and they're.
- 42:15Speaker 6: Not might even be doing some garbage where they're like,
- 42:18Speaker 6: well we got five and we're keeping all the dates open,
- 42:21Speaker 6: so you've got your first and your second choice. And
- 42:22Speaker 6: now we got a store and see what their first
- 42:24Speaker 6: and their second choices. And then we got a shuffle
- 42:26Speaker 6: and move and you know they got there. They got
- 42:28Speaker 6: their five slots up on the corkboard and moving the
- 42:32Speaker 6: things Brown.
- 42:34Speaker 2: I doubt know that's happening. But at the same point,
- 42:39Speaker 2: like I just I don't.
- 42:40Speaker 6: Feel like a scheduling being on five sticky notes.
- 42:42Speaker 2: I five sticky notes sounds about right, but I just
- 42:46Speaker 2: don't feel like they're that put together to the point
- 42:49Speaker 2: where like they have it all like lockdown and like, oh,
- 42:53Speaker 2: this is what we want to do, like it should
- 42:58Speaker 2: like literally, you're twenty twenty six should be planned in
- 43:02Speaker 2: twenty twenty five and you're twenty.
- 43:06Speaker 6: About that, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, we've already talked about.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm just saying in reality, that's how you jokes.
- 43:12Speaker 2: But I'm saying that's not how they operate. That's not
- 43:16Speaker 2: how they work, and it's not and it'll never be
- 43:18Speaker 2: how they work. I don't think they're ever going to
- 43:20Speaker 2: be to that point where you know they will be there.
- 43:26Speaker 6: That's not true. If that's for two hundred people, they
- 43:29Speaker 6: would be better because they would be at a completely
- 43:36Speaker 6: different kind of venue. Okay, but besides, we are where
- 43:40Speaker 6: at the whim of what works for the venues, right.
- 43:43Speaker 6: We don't when you call up a venue for the
- 43:45Speaker 6: KEYBOARDE event, you don't get first booking. You get when
- 43:49Speaker 6: can you fit me in?
- 43:51Speaker 5: Right, which is all the more important to reach out
- 43:54Speaker 5: as soon as you've run an event or very close
- 43:56Speaker 5: after it.
- 43:57Speaker 6: Let's reatat like thing, the thing there are one hundred
- 44:01Speaker 6: games that they're planning preleases and junk around, and that
- 44:04Speaker 6: stuff isn't officially released, so like it's a lot of work.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Got it.
- 44:11Speaker 6: We're not. We're not the only thing that hits these
- 44:12Speaker 6: store calendars. Like I said, it's not like they're using
- 44:15Speaker 6: a venue where they're like, well, we're going to take
- 44:17Speaker 6: the first person who gives us money for the spot.
- 44:19Speaker 6: That's not the venues we're at.
- 44:25Speaker 2: I agree, Okay, Sanctum and Dress Dunk, Yeah.
- 44:32Speaker 5: Dres, tell us tell us one of your worst moments
- 44:34Speaker 5: from Keyboards twenty twenty.
- 44:36Speaker 6: Five listening.
- 44:39Speaker 4: The one that yeah, well there's that one, but actually
- 44:42Speaker 4: worse than that one was.
- 44:45Speaker 6: Uh.
- 44:46Speaker 4: The thing that bothers me the most about when I
- 44:51Speaker 4: win early is keyfoards now, which is that guessing has
- 44:55Speaker 4: become the most important keyboard skill, right the guess which
- 45:01Speaker 4: house is on top of your opponent's deck, or have
- 45:04Speaker 4: your opponent guess what houses on top of your deck.
- 45:07Speaker 4: You know, guess what deck that wins or loses games.
- 45:14Speaker 4: And it just it it makes such a difference.
- 45:17Speaker 2: And it it's.
- 45:19Speaker 4: Like, for the most part, it's not skill. Like there
- 45:22Speaker 4: are certain moments where it's.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Like, yeah, like.
- 45:26Speaker 6: You can do to increase your increase your odds.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Yeah, and but then there's moments where you know, people
- 45:34Speaker 4: feel like they got to do all the deep math
- 45:36Speaker 4: to go deep on it's just it's just so terrible.
- 45:40Speaker 2: So much like it would have been.
- 45:44Speaker 6: Flip faster.
- 45:47Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, like honestly good either.
- 45:53Speaker 6: That's not good either. But I'm just saying taking the
- 45:57Speaker 6: tax because the tax on top of the randness just
- 46:01Speaker 6: doesn't it doesn't add up to a more enjoyable experience,
- 46:05Speaker 6: right when you're counting discards and watching things and have
- 46:09Speaker 6: to be on top of it because every turn there's
- 46:11Speaker 6: gonna be a new card. Under asked me again.
- 46:13Speaker 4: Later, Yeah, and like the last time, I remember the
- 46:19Speaker 4: last time in December that I managed to make our
- 46:23Speaker 4: weekly Sunday days, by the way, come hang out with
- 46:26Speaker 4: us Sunday evenings to play key Forge online and the Crucible.
- 46:29Speaker 4: So x Ray and I were playing. We each had
- 46:32Speaker 4: ask again later. But that night I was really good
- 46:36Speaker 4: at guessing and he was really shitty at guessing.
- 46:40Speaker 2: So guess who won? I did?
- 46:43Speaker 4: Did it feel like I outplayed him? Not really, I
- 46:47Speaker 4: just guessed way better, So you know, I guess that
- 46:51Speaker 4: proves x Ray does suck.
- 46:52Speaker 2: So we have. I mean, guessing is a necessary skill
- 47:01Speaker 2: right now on key Forge, and I don't foresee that
- 47:04Speaker 2: going away in twenty twenty six.
- 47:08Speaker 4: I mean, I mean, yet, there's randomness in card games right,
- 47:11Speaker 4: like like totally. It's not like a card game is
- 47:17Speaker 4: purely a situation without the randomness of drawing cards and
- 47:20Speaker 4: all that. But this is just so impactful and so.
- 47:25Speaker 6: Thank you. We'll see a reduction of ask again later
- 47:32Speaker 6: or ask me again later in an alliance where you
- 47:34Speaker 6: can actually sort of choose your prophecies because it's not
- 47:38Speaker 6: reliable enough, and you do lose because they just guessed right.
- 47:43Speaker 2: That was my topic. Keeps guessing right, can't just.
- 47:47Speaker 6: Right and again and again, and my card didn't go
- 47:49Speaker 6: off and you know, so be it. Yeah, I knew
- 47:52Speaker 6: what I was playing there. I wasn't playing high skill
- 47:55Speaker 6: on my part, So yeah, it's it's fine, but often
- 48:00Speaker 6: in definitely concealed like ask Megan later, is too good
- 48:03Speaker 6: to pass up on most of the time. And then
- 48:06Speaker 6: even in ARCon like, yeah, you can't choose it. So
- 48:13Speaker 6: it's ah, yeah, I'm with you. That card is I don't.
- 48:20Speaker 6: I mean, like, like we talked about it. I said
- 48:21Speaker 6: it was a very powerful card. The information you gain
- 48:24Speaker 6: and all the stuff about it is a lot. But
- 48:27Speaker 6: at the same time, after experience that card, it does
- 48:31Speaker 6: not make key Forge better.
- 48:34Speaker 4: This might be the card that is the worst for
- 48:38Speaker 4: the game that has been never printed.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Would it be better if cards like I mean, and
- 48:45Speaker 2: I'm going to guess the answers yes, But let's say
- 48:48Speaker 2: Recompense wasn't I mean, you know, the recompenses, the rage resets,
- 48:53Speaker 2: the the you know, there's that handful I mean, powerhouse
- 48:59Speaker 2: is there, right.
- 49:02Speaker 4: Yeah, do you have to reduce quite a lot, Like
- 49:05Speaker 4: even if it didn't have huge impact cards under it,
- 49:09Speaker 4: the tax of that card is frustrating.
- 49:13Speaker 6: The mental tax again, the guessing, right, even if you're
- 49:16Speaker 6: just using that card to discard, and your opponent's discarding
- 49:18Speaker 6: three times as often as you do to functionally randomness,
- 49:22Speaker 6: it's it's it's it's not. Yeah. I mean, like I
- 49:31Speaker 6: I I'll all the randomness I need in key Forge
- 49:34Speaker 6: comes from just opening the decks. I don't need it
- 49:36Speaker 6: in the card like happenings as well. You know, It's
- 49:40Speaker 6: like why I've never liked wild Wormhole a lot, right,
- 49:43Speaker 6: because it's it's random. It's just like, oh, let's see
- 49:46Speaker 6: what happens. I'm not making significant decisions. Did I just
- 49:49Speaker 6: win or lose off this card? Flip woo hoo. You know,
- 49:52Speaker 6: I'm not a huge fan of that thing. I actually
- 49:56Speaker 6: think it's gotten that has become less bad because there
- 50:01Speaker 6: are less be bad cards and decks where you really
- 50:03Speaker 6: don't want to flip one of your cards with wild Wormholes.
- 50:06Speaker 6: So I've learned to tolerate that card more and newer
- 50:09Speaker 6: sets because I think there are less there are less
- 50:12Speaker 6: cards where you're just like, oh, if I flip that card,
- 50:15Speaker 6: you know I win or lose. But that whole kind
- 50:20Speaker 6: of stuff, you know, it doesn't. Yeah, it's it's not
- 50:25Speaker 6: skill that's triggering that stuff. It's just crap. Shooting, go and.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Ask the frequency later.
- 50:32Speaker 6: It's just every turn it's a guess.
- 50:35Speaker 4: Right because your deck you're going to play that. Yeah,
- 50:39Speaker 4: you're gonna play that once or twice.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Every turn. This is yes, every single turn.
- 50:46Speaker 6: Every turn, there's a relatively uncontrolled random aspect of the
- 50:51Speaker 6: game happening.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, yeah, I didn't know. It's I didn't know.
- 50:55Speaker 2: If I didn't know if your opinion would change if like,
- 50:58Speaker 2: let's say, like it wasn't it wasn't that bad, and
- 51:01Speaker 2: it was just like, oh, well, so it would have
- 51:06Speaker 2: to be you know, something like you know, something menial
- 51:09Speaker 2: like that.
- 51:12Speaker 4: I mean, it would have to be something like where
- 51:14Speaker 4: the like the whole mechanic would have to be way weakened,
- 51:18Speaker 4: like the fates would have to be really lame.
- 51:20Speaker 2: And therefore, that's what I say, the fates. If we
- 51:24Speaker 2: do not have those fates, would that make a difference
- 51:28Speaker 2: to you?
- 51:31Speaker 6: It's still the complexity remembering to do dealing with it's
- 51:37Speaker 6: it's just.
- 51:37Speaker 4: Not it doesn't it might have just like it'll ever
- 51:41Speaker 4: provide the right amount of value to the amount of
- 51:44Speaker 4: extra garbage.
- 51:46Speaker 2: That you have to do.
- 51:47Speaker 4: It probably would have just swapped places with the number
- 51:52Speaker 4: two worst design card ever, which is atrocity.
- 51:58Speaker 2: What are just swap places with that one?
- 52:01Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 52:01Speaker 5: I mean, and so looking at our list here, meta
- 52:03Speaker 5: shifts so heavy in PV direction, PV guessing, most important,
- 52:06Speaker 5: Keyford shows. All three of those fit in with what
- 52:09Speaker 5: we've been talking about.
- 52:10Speaker 3: And so that's why.
- 52:11Speaker 6: Pv TV is one of the worst things that happened
- 52:13Speaker 6: to key Forge, and I bet your shows up on
- 52:16Speaker 6: one of the best things that happened to key It does.
- 52:20Speaker 4: H I mean, there's a lot of good in that set,
- 52:26Speaker 4: but then there's also a lott.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Of bad well. And the reason I put PV in
- 52:32Speaker 2: good is it gave you the opportunity. I felt that
- 52:40Speaker 2: at least within the past two years, you at least
- 52:42Speaker 2: had one set.
- 52:46Speaker 6: But we said that with WOE, we said that with
- 52:48Speaker 6: GR I did.
- 52:49Speaker 2: I felt like that was bullshit. With I felt that
- 52:52Speaker 2: was bullshit. With WOE, I did not feel that way
- 52:54Speaker 2: at all. Everyone kept saying, open a deck and you'll
- 52:58Speaker 2: be great and it'll be the best thing ever. And
- 53:00Speaker 2: I didn't experience any of that. But with GR I
- 53:05Speaker 2: definitely find I never experienced that.
- 53:07Speaker 6: With GR you opened all the good.
- 53:09Speaker 2: GR I guess so, But GR I felt that way,
- 53:12Speaker 2: and I feel like PV is a lot of the same.
- 53:14Speaker 2: You have an opportunity to open something, something spicy if
- 53:19Speaker 2: you're a tournament player, right, if you are, you know,
- 53:25Speaker 2: no offense, mister perfect, mister perfect. It just goes to locals,
- 53:29Speaker 2: you know everything, right, Well, when spicy meats spicy, it
- 53:35Speaker 2: makes spicy not so spicy and just becomes an annoyance
- 53:39Speaker 2: and it becomes yes, it was you. I don't know
- 53:41Speaker 2: what's funny is when we talk about this now, it
- 53:45Speaker 2: is literally everything Pete bitched about when he first talked
- 53:49Speaker 2: about prophet efficients. He's like, I saw this in what
- 53:54Speaker 2: was it? What game did he play before? Online? TCG?
- 54:02Speaker 2: Drawing a blank? Oh, World of Wars?
- 54:06Speaker 6: Playing the.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Heartstone, Hearthstone.
- 54:14Speaker 6: Yeah, all random. Like Harstone really has embraced a lot
- 54:19Speaker 6: of random. Do you play a card, you just get
- 54:22Speaker 6: a random creature that costs three from the whole world
- 54:25Speaker 6: of the game, right right, random three power creature because
- 54:29Speaker 6: you know you don't have to actually have physical stuff
- 54:31Speaker 6: to make it happen. It's you know what it's I
- 54:35Speaker 6: like that stuff in Heartstone. It's fun and interesting, but
- 54:38Speaker 6: again it's the same like level of like, you can't
- 54:42Speaker 6: take the competitive as serious because it's another it's another
- 54:46Speaker 6: dire roll happening.
- 54:48Speaker 2: The thing about Hearthstone is hearthstone because it is deck
- 54:51Speaker 2: building can say, all right, we're we had our fun
- 54:54Speaker 2: with this and we're gonna kind of send and send
- 54:56Speaker 2: it away. What do you think? How do you handle
- 55:00Speaker 2: this now? And how do you handle this with key forge?
- 55:03Speaker 2: Do you just be like, well, no more decks that
- 55:07Speaker 2: have We're going.
- 55:07Speaker 6: To handle it with public shame, which you're.
- 55:13Speaker 2: Making a public shame of the guy who's like I
- 55:15Speaker 2: just won kick rocks, like, oh no, we'll try. We'll try.
- 55:21Speaker 2: You're not going to win. We'll try.
- 55:23Speaker 6: We got some more worse. What else we got?
- 55:25Speaker 5: Ye?
- 55:25Speaker 3: What did you? What did you see? Sheep?
- 55:29Speaker 6: I don't know. I put it in a list. You
- 55:30Speaker 6: were reaping.
- 55:33Speaker 4: Your list in front of us.
- 55:37Speaker 2: That's pretty he's not looking at that list right now,
- 55:42Speaker 2: can't I got We're going to try, yeah, because talk
- 55:53Speaker 2: about what's.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Worst, and then we're going to give Sheep a second
- 55:56Speaker 5: because I'm gonna call on him again to say what's worst.
- 55:59Speaker 2: Actually it is, it's actually one of sheepsh.
- 56:03Speaker 6: But he put it in a weird order.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's your second one in there, it's the
- 56:07Speaker 2: same one, so timing the worst.
- 56:12Speaker 6: Reemp. I think that like like the the whole certain
- 56:17Speaker 6: darkness thing with purging two houses, which I heard a
- 56:21Speaker 6: lot of rumors going into KFC that Logos was getting
- 56:24Speaker 6: the whack because they said Logos and the thing that
- 56:26Speaker 6: they're the one on lead ships so clearly they're dark now,
- 56:31Speaker 6: which fine, whatever, But then the other house, and I
- 56:36Speaker 6: just I still cannot believe it's Sanctum.
- 56:40Speaker 3: Like.
- 56:42Speaker 6: Yeah, no, I know, but I can't believe the second
- 56:44Speaker 6: house was Sankum and not Redemption because I mean, I
- 56:47Speaker 6: know we reported a bunch of Redemption.
- 56:50Speaker 2: And other people. We were also thought Shadows for a
- 56:54Speaker 2: long time was going to get the ax.
- 56:56Speaker 6: Yeah I was, well, I thought star.
- 57:01Speaker 2: Yeah, we could star alized, hated.
- 57:04Speaker 6: But I mean, just with what a dumpster Redemption has been,
- 57:13Speaker 6: to be stuck with them is depressing. I guess they
- 57:16Speaker 6: got a little more identity in BV. They actually have
- 57:19Speaker 6: some of their own cards that like two of them
- 57:22Speaker 6: are okay and the rest of them are all bad,
- 57:24Speaker 6: but they're only good. Ones are only good because they
- 57:26Speaker 6: have good fates, so they still have nothing good for
- 57:30Speaker 6: the next set or like the just there's just nothing
- 57:34Speaker 6: in Redemption that interested me. I know, Redemption is gg's
- 57:40Speaker 6: work instead of f fgs. So they're like, oh, it's ours,
- 57:43Speaker 6: we can do what we want. But now this is
- 57:46Speaker 6: just like it's just awful that we got stuff.
- 57:48Speaker 4: I always kind of sucked, sucks more.
- 57:55Speaker 5: Well, there's too many creatures. There's not enough that it's
- 58:00Speaker 5: like it does. There's no identity. It's just the conglomerate
- 58:05Speaker 5: of what we've taken from previous sets.
- 58:07Speaker 6: It's like now, I mean like it's potential, you know,
- 58:10Speaker 6: like they can do whatever they want, and it'd just
- 58:12Speaker 6: be like a bunch of a bunch of the Sanctum guys.
- 58:15Speaker 6: They're gonna put extra eyeliner on and go playing house.
- 58:18Speaker 6: Redemption be dark Sanctum. It's called guy still capture for
- 58:23Speaker 6: them because like they still have pie, so we're taking
- 58:25Speaker 6: them with Redemption. It could happen, but it's.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Just maybe Redemption's version of pie is ice cream. What
- 58:33Speaker 4: do you think I think it helps with all those
- 58:36Speaker 4: mutation sores?
- 58:38Speaker 6: Version of ice cream?
- 58:40Speaker 2: Yeah, there's put a little ice cream on that. I mean,
- 58:43Speaker 2: my thoughts still is that you're gonna end up seeing
- 58:45Speaker 2: a lot of logos and sanctum in redemption. I still,
- 58:53Speaker 2: I know Luke kind of put the pooh pooh on it,
- 58:55Speaker 2: like you know last time we talked to him. But
- 58:57Speaker 2: I feel like that's where you're gonna see a lot
- 59:01Speaker 2: of those cards that they I mean, and.
- 59:02Speaker 6: Who knows logos logos just goes over to geistoid.
- 59:06Speaker 2: Oh okay, I think that either way here if if
- 59:15Speaker 2: if you take GG out their word right then, which
- 59:19Speaker 2: there is heavy criticism of sure, But but if you
- 59:24Speaker 2: take them at their word, this is not a bad
- 59:26Speaker 2: on Gg. This is a bad on all you listeners
- 59:29Speaker 2: that Sheep is saying here. Sheep is telling you listener
- 59:32Speaker 2: that you're a bad.
- 59:34Speaker 4: Anything other than redemption and you should be ashamed of yourself.
- 59:38Speaker 2: No, No, because these are correct.
- 59:40Speaker 3: Correct because dres I will go into the next item
- 59:44Speaker 3: on the list, which is there was no way to
- 59:45Speaker 3: track the purged houses, like we had to pop off
- 59:48Speaker 3: from the Mars event that we could see what was
- 59:51Speaker 3: happening most because.
- 59:53Speaker 6: The results were opposite of what ended up happening.
- 59:55Speaker 5: Which is why I'm saying, But this li with technology
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: that we have access to today, it's just you have
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: a website, you can see you can see the houses
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: that are here, and you can go and then you
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: close it at a certain date.
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: I think they would have had. The problem is is
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: I don't actually think there's enough numbers for it to
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: look good, right, so they would just.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: Report of who's the top three. You don't have to
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: say numbers you have. It's like these are the top.
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: But that at that point, it's the same thing as
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: what they did.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: But there's some transparency in that.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: I can.
- 1:00:35Speaker 6: Transparency if there If there isn't the data behind it,
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: there's not transparency.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: I'm not saying it for the transparency sake, although I
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: think that would have been interesting. I'm saying it more
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: from a perspective of keeping the event engaging. Like if
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: every week it was like now you know now sanctums
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: in the lead sheep put be like, fuck, I gotta
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: go to my local to purge redemption.
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: I stayed on task guys.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Yeah, because I also agree with that, because if you
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: don't have the data, they could just put up whatever
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: they want.
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: Oh that's that's what I said all along. I was
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: saying this event is if it's good storytelling, they've already
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: decided and it doesn't matter.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: What we do.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: I hope that wasn't it.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: They definitely should have done a running a running tally
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: or even if it wasn't tally, like a top three
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: or something or who you know, and then maybe at
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: the end be like here's the lowest purged one or something.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: I don't know, but again, what is it without without
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: the data, what is it? They can tell you whatever
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: they want.
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: All right, next bad thing?
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Yeah, anyway, it was there?
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: All right? Too well? Bad again?
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, alliance too well at under like sixteen players,
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: I'm definitely under twelve is a disaster.
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: Under twelve is an absolute disaster. But frankly to l like,
- 1:02:02Speaker 5: we have the ability on the app now that you
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: can track and see, hey I want to play or
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: I don't want to play. We're hitting submits. Yes, if
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: you have more than two losses, you're out. But put
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: everyone in the same Dard tournament. There's just no reason
- 1:02:14Speaker 5: for it.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: Like tool is we have Swiss play Swiss.
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: I agree to the need they need to change the
- 1:02:25Speaker 6: thing that under sixteen it goes great Swiss or straight
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: something because yeah too, l O. And the people who
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: get a loss and a buy are automatically enterprising is
- 1:02:38Speaker 6: real bad. It's real bad. Should not be happening that like,
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: and people with actual game wins, and the.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Guy who has a loss it has to has to
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: go into play in route to play again and then.
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: Lose and then not get anything although they actually played
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: and one, I mean like it.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: It is bad.
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: It is also bad to punish the people who got
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: the buye. It's just the whole format. You can't you
- 1:03:04Speaker 6: have to switch to a different.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Thing format all together because quickly alliance isn't fucking working,
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: so it might be time to abandon three or four rounds.
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: And you also need to guarantee a decent number of games,
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: because when you show up to a major tournament and
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: you're like, I'm yeah, I mean, I know, we guarantee two,
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: but not when there's byes, you might only play one
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: sort of. So yeah, like some stuff has to change
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: if the tournaments are going to continue to be run
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: at that small of a player.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: Guy.
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: And this is why to l O is a problem.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: We came to play the event that we want to play.
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: Let's go ahead and play, let's have fun be there.
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: I just don't understand why we're continuing to lean into
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: to l I don't.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: That's the same reason we continue to lean in our Alliance.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: I don't because it's.
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: I'm going to disagree with this being on the list
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: toll No, the Alliance leaning into Alliance like.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: That it is, it is there.
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: It is maybe not hurting the game in any meaningful
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: way at this point right like it is not.
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: But this is where this is where we differ sheep,
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: because you say it doesn't hurt. Frankly, we should be
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: playing Field. That's what we should be playing when we
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: continue playing. But what I'm saying is when we're splitting
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: into into Alliance, ARCon and Sealed, we're splitting our time
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: and there are people who want to play each of those,
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: I think they're fine for everyone premiere event we should be.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: I agree.
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: What I what I'm saying is we don't have five
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: hundred people that were splitting up with Alliance and Arkon,
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: so I I.
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: There there are more than one. I mean, there's only
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: eleven to pick for up, but at least one or
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: who of those people wouldn't even come to the Vault
- 1:05:02Speaker 6: if Alliance wasn't there. Like Alliance is what it is,
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: it's I don't think it hurts attendances, So I don't.
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: I don't see. I don't see how eliminating Alliance improves anything.
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: That's my thing. It's like, if I'm with you, I
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: think Alliance is mostly pointless. But I'm also not really
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: an Alliance player. I play it when I've already done
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: ARCon for the year, so I'll go dink around over there.
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: But like, I don't, I don't see how it hurts
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: the game anymore. All I see by removing Alliance is
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: hurting the game by taking the players that actually do
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: care about it, the monsters that they are.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: Said, you said, one to two people versus being able.
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: To go even it's been eight to eleven, how.
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: Many of those have switched over as a result of
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: the numbers being low to get prizing right away, even
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: as bad as it is, versus just going ahead?
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: And like, what what are you gaining by getting rid
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: of it?
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: You're gaining efficiency with your judges that are not spread
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: out further that you're not trying to go ahead and
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: run multiple events.
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: That's what you're you said, judges, I don't actually think
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: you're gaining I I personally don't think you're gaining anything.
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: I think this this is screaming into a void at
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: this point. Even again, maybe it's fine, nobody, alliances whatever,
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: just leave it alone.
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: That my issue is too low.
- 1:06:38Speaker 6: We didn't kill it when it was an infant. Now
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: it's all growing up, and you just have to.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: It's only okay to kill infants.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: Now that it's.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: That it's an you gotta let it grow.
- 1:06:55Speaker 6: Yeah. I actively tried to kill it pre birth, right
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: like I was. I tried to abort that baby.
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: Now I have it.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Now you have a toddler, so now you gotta get it.
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: That's right, all right?
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: What else.
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: My tournament software on here?
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: It was not because it's never.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: Break.
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: It didn't.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: It's there.
- 1:07:26Speaker 6: I have access to it. I can run vents in it.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: Who runs events? Raise your hands? Raise your hand?
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Would I use it?
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: I wouldn't, but I can. I can even make it
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: so at our locals you have to pay an event
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: key to play the event.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: What still, well, I don't know.
- 1:07:47Speaker 6: I haven't actually looked at it lately, but I can't
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: imagine they updated that out.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: No, okay, all right, so let's see what else.
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: Disc It's just not there for your because we're competitive podcast.
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: It's not for the competitive players.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: I think that it's not it is it. I think
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: the majority it doesn't. It is apparently played.
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: People enjoyed it at packs.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: So there you go.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it went great at packs with it.
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: Yeah, So I mean it conserve its purpose. We just
- 1:08:24Speaker 6: it's hard to find the people to put it in
- 1:08:26Speaker 6: front of.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: Yep, we got to have people to put it in
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: front of for it to be a thing.
- 1:08:32Speaker 6: So our next one says c C powers and misunderstanding
- 1:08:36Speaker 6: and what makes seek good?
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Should we just say I put this see?
- 1:08:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm with you, Like the whole again, Like the whole,
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: the whole development cycle, release announcement, everything to do with
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: handling cclet's garbage.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: Yeah, Like they were like, here's a set specifically designed
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: for sealed. We're like, ooh, this could be interesting.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: What are they going to do?
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: And they're like, we'll give these power. The powers are
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: the exact opposite of what we've got for sealed, right, right,
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: like another random yeah, so desparate right for sealed. We
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: prefer if if the width of that bell curve was tighter, right,
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: that would be.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: Gotten on average for.
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: Sealed, right, whereas you know what those with those powers,
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: you've widened it more than almost any set like it
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: just there's no reason to use those powers, like they're so.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: So poorly designed and yeah.
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: Because they weren't designed in a way to reduce the
- 1:09:46Speaker 6: bell curve, right, like they just make it. They make it. Yes,
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: it's it's a big multiplier, which is not not great.
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: But then the whole way that like the whole original
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: announcement of CC Hey, it's a sealed set, but then
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: it's trash afterwards. Play it once and throw it away,
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: which does it hurt me in the way of like
- 1:10:07Speaker 6: that's already how I treat most keyboard sets as a
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: personal thing. But I think as a game company to
- 1:10:13Speaker 6: be printing a fifteen dollars product that is disposable, intended
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: disposable just seems like so anti green, so non like,
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: it just seems it just seems so wasteful.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: What do you mean cardboards biodegradable.
- 1:10:35Speaker 6: I mean then they should have printed it on toilet
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: paper so we could have actually used it.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: I mean, it's always you just the next version you
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: play it, you play that deck once and you just
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: like squares off, Yeah, and that guy's purge and you
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: gotta wipe with it.
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: There you go randomized when you when you see the
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: next summer event in its toilet paper decks, you understand
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: why listen.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm not okay with that idea.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: Like again, me and Sheep are kind of in the
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: same zone, like if if it ain't hitting, it's uh,
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: it's a quinton, it's right into the garbaggio with that
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: bad boy. So I'm but I feel like.
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: That's fine on a personal choice. But for the company
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: to be like, we are selling you a deck at
- 1:11:34Speaker 6: full retail that it's only intended to be played in
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: one event ever and then going the.
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: I mean they've been doing that for a while, tended
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: that way. It just happens to be that way.
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: I don't know, but no, it's like it's for these
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: sealed events and then will not be allowed in any
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: organized event. So then it's then, yes, you're right, there
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: is exactly what we did with unchained change, which was
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: you played it sealed and then you only play it
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: with itself again later it's it is just another one
- 1:12:08Speaker 6: of those sets. But just the way they build it
- 1:12:10Speaker 6: was just it it tasted bad to me because they're like,
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: you know, basically said this isn't intended to be played
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: ever again. Once you know what's in it, it's just like,
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: what what is this? So what they did say no
- 1:12:28Speaker 6: Powers and the set is better with No Powers, But
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: just the whole handling of CC was just to me
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: was it is definitely on the worst because from the
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: way it was presented to the way it was handled
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: and the actual design, there's nothing in it that worked well.
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: But at the end of the month set, the set
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: itself is now we're gonna play No Powers it and
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: that go, which will be fun.
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: And I think I think See Powers is a better
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: play experience than Discovery.
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: We better grade all of them CEC cards next week
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: so I know what they are.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: You're right, we actually should do without without any without
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: any news. We can definitely start on that one.
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: All right, all right, what's the next one?
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: I think we're good.
- 1:13:18Speaker 5: You don't get that you don't get to play much yet.
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: That's PV consistent, still missing. That is still that I
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: think said. And then this one is it's.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: Gonna be this year and it'll be missing again next one.
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: Yeah. One of the worst things in key Fords this
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: year was the World's Prizing. It was abysmal. I really
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: felt like an afterthought and a joke and and I
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: don't even want to talk about it anymore.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Because it just makes you want to go play different
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: board games and stuff. It's almost like the use.
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: And then they went, oh shit, we didn't actually save
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: any money for prizes.
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: We got in the back around like the prizes were like, okay,
- 1:14:09Speaker 6: so you have all this stuff, use it for prizes.
- 1:14:11Speaker 6: And then they gave too much away doing other things
- 1:14:14Speaker 6: and it came time to prize the world. I'm like,
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: oh shit, we gave away or put too much on
- 1:14:18Speaker 6: the prize ball because they were probably selling them for
- 1:14:20Speaker 6: the tickets as well. And they're just like, they just
- 1:14:22Speaker 6: gave away too much, regardless of like because because like
- 1:14:27Speaker 6: everything here, World's prizing was decided ten minutes before it
- 1:14:31Speaker 6: had to be handed out, not six months.
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: Yeah, regardless of what happened, it just wasn't okay.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: I know that. Uh.
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: Dave c going ahead and talking and the cast like
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: he wants to know what what's prizing for this upcoming year?
- 1:14:46Speaker 5: What is it for twenty twenty six?
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: He needs to know that.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: I agree, like it is.
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: It's just mastered.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: I was there, you know what if it just it
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: was it was pathetic for a World's event.
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: Yeah, if prizing Vaults is identical to last year, I'm
- 1:15:03Speaker 6: not going to complain. It's whatever. I'm not playing for
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: the prizing, right, It's just the World's prizing to be
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: less than Vault.
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: Prizing was or less than a side event where.
- 1:15:19Speaker 6: Just the fact that the prizing there was worse than
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: everywhere else was was really really surprising. Like it's just like, yeah,
- 1:15:32Speaker 6: nonsensical and not even anything unique, right, the pin, the
- 1:15:37Speaker 6: pin is the only thing unique. Jr's foiled playmat was cool.
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: It was.
- 1:15:43Speaker 6: I mean, like, again, had they given out those crappy
- 1:15:46Speaker 6: that the crappy deck prizes and just made everybody's play
- 1:15:49Speaker 6: Matt spoiled, I wouldn't have probably said much. I'd be like, Okay,
- 1:15:53Speaker 6: that's something that only worlds people have that's cool or
- 1:15:57Speaker 6: worlds and open tops or whatever. But no, it was,
- 1:16:01Speaker 6: and they're even narrow place or narrow play mats. Again,
- 1:16:04Speaker 6: it's just I don't know. Yeah, World's PRIZINGO. I got
- 1:16:08Speaker 6: the pin. The only thing I cared about the pin
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: and my name in an article, the two things I'm
- 1:16:13Speaker 6: playing for anymore.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: All Right. It took us an hour to get here,
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: but time move on to the best, the short and
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: then we're done, and then we're done.
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: Yeah, what was the best?
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: There was some good stuff. Community events I do think
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: a lot. So obviously the parties are always a good time, right,
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: no matter where we go, what we do, and the
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: parties are always a good time. The people are a
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: good time. I mean, uh, who was a good time?
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: People are a great time. Dead to the community cards
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: some of us some of us. Yeah, sheep by day
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: three is hit hit or miss. Really depends on how
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: he's doing three.
- 1:17:05Speaker 6: I have like two good hours on day one and
- 1:17:07Speaker 6: that's it.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: No, it depends. I don't know. Day one of Baltimore
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: was a lot of fun. Or maybe I'm still just
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: laughing because you tried to hop onto the bed and
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: completely missed. But may mean either way, wow.
- 1:17:20Speaker 6: That's drunk shape. That's a totally different experience.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: That was a good time for me. That was good.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: Community cards I thought were good, Like I still see
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: talk about them. So oh they're so cool. Yeah.
- 1:17:35Speaker 6: The side the side tournaments Necho and Miswest Charity Key
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: Forge Open are.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: Both well somehow better than events.
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: With stuff Yeah, like have definitely have better rewards for
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: going like, how how do I get a good better?
- 1:17:58Speaker 6: We'll see about Necko, I don't I don't know, well,
- 1:18:01Speaker 6: but even then, definitely a way better last year at
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: the Midwest Charity.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: The Midwest Charity, the Midwest Community Charity Classic or I
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: don't know if it has Classic at the end. But
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: even then, like the goodies you got there were significantly
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: better then. I mean, and again I get it because
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: they're not running a business, and I don't know, like
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: time and effort and total amount cost, YadA, YadA, how
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: do you get in a better goodie bag going to that?
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Then you are going to the World's event. What was
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Worlds this year? Was it one hundred and fifty and
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: seventy dollars? I don't know, I don't remember. But you
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: got a better goodie bag going there, then you got
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: going to KFC.
- 1:18:48Speaker 6: This is true. That box the community continued to be
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: the most exciting part of.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: The Shining Light. We guess the most exciting part of
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: key Forge. Somebody put on vault Master twenty five. I
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: could take it or leave it, but yeah, somebody really
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: likes vault Master twenty A great, really fun set.
- 1:19:14Speaker 6: It was.
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: I'm gonna say they lucked into balancing it really well.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:19:22Speaker 4: Uh, it was enough to not feel bad, Yeah, just
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: hawful enough to not feel bad. There was lots of
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: fun stuff and it sure you can still get a
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: junkie deck just like any set, but like there's plenty
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: of like fun stuff in that set, like we did
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: for a br the vm ARCon week and it was
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: a ton of fun, like.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: The whole team, like that would have been Like if
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: PV wasn't a thing, I feel like I have everything.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: I agree with that, but yeah I got some, I
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: got some really good but then like once you put
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: PV into the mix, it's like doesn't matter anymore. Everything
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: you did in the past is now just too slow,
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: just too.
- 1:20:10Speaker 6: Slow of everything. And why PV meta was on the
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: worst list, Yeah, because it really has put a big
- 1:20:16Speaker 6: foot on everything else, all right.
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: Like set up, I think I think I think the
- 1:20:22Speaker 5: V twenty five decks were really well balanced. Again, that's
- 1:20:25Speaker 5: the sealed set that we want to see with that
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: middle kind of closer from the top and the bottom
- 1:20:32Speaker 5: like that.
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:20:33Speaker 6: Twenty five for premiere Sealed for the year.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: Is how is that not the Wall of Fire set?
- 1:20:40Speaker 6: Like the last chance this is the Vault Masters set
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: your ear because anyways, but the geotaged one, which this is,
- 1:20:49Speaker 6: this should not be on the best list because this
- 1:20:51Speaker 6: is like this is this is should just be expected.
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: Like yeah, well so I suppose I put the thing.
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: That they did it is is good, but like just
- 1:21:05Speaker 6: it's like celebrating near minimum requirements.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, Okay, why did you put I'm guessing
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: this is you too that amber Sky's Yeah, I really like,
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: I'm like.
- 1:21:23Speaker 6: I'm kind of looking yeah, I'm looking forward to the
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: next mile the store, because that's all we have to
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: play at our store is amber Sky.
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: Sweet give me a reason to come back sheet.
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: And there's like only one card in the set that
- 1:21:38Speaker 4: makes me feel icky, and that's a pretty awesome no,
- 1:21:45Speaker 4: although maybe I don't know, maybe that should but I
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: guess there's been similar enough cards that doesn't make me
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: feel like it's the it's the Arcanometer. It makes me
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: feel icky, but Thers Enhanced Arcanometer exactly.
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: Ill, But I just think it's in the hands with
- 1:22:02Speaker 5: another house and you're hit too.
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: Out of it.
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: It's a really fun set though, really fun.
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: And it's it's speedy, it moves at a good pace. Yes,
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: I agree.
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: Yeah, we put somebody put on there. That is a
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: twenty twenty sixth season. That's good, right, everybody smile.
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: Yeah, that that was That was one of mine.
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: Uh so your gg overlord can see.
- 1:22:29Speaker 6: It is a the the best things we have to
- 1:22:32Speaker 6: s is basically they did it and it's still happening.
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: It's it's a little depressing.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: Well, the fact that it's on our best list of well,
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: there's still key Flords to play, so we're good. That's right,
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: We're all happy here now. Really lower that this.
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: Next one, this next one, the fact that it's on
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: the best list. It's just a certain darkness. Certain Darkness
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: was fun.
- 1:23:01Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just like, oh, we had an event and
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: it didn't suck, so that makes it the best.
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: No, Like, I thought Certain Darkness was fun. I liked
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: the idea. Obviously, execution of said idea was. But like
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: the whole idea of the side deck and an alternative
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: wind condition of getting and getting completely uh you know
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: right pretty you know, of getting your opponent to you know,
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: get all their darkness cards in their deck and being consumed.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: I thought that was great. I really I enjoyed. I
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: think I might have enjoyed the Certain Darkness event more
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: than the Mars event. Oh really, I think I did
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: because I liked well to see it appeals to me.
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: I like the idea. I call it alternative wind condition.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: She calls it alternative loss condition. Either way, same idea.
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: I like that it added something new, fresh and inter
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: resting to the game for once where it's not like,
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: here's this thing that's completely busted, try not to break it,
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: and then we're like, we're gonna break it, and then
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: we do.
- 1:24:10Speaker 6: It was it was interesting because everybody had the exact
- 1:24:13Speaker 6: same stack of cards, so it wasn't it was not
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: h randomness. The only randomness that really hit there was
- 1:24:22Speaker 6: like if somebody hit their market mark of the dark early,
- 1:24:27Speaker 6: that really changed.
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: Yeah, because it had multiple purges that you well, because that.
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: Card didn't seem balanced with the rest of the cards.
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: But that's it was.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: But it was it was fun, right, and it because
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: I think because it was such a low stakes event
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: and made it a little it made it okay.
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: That was that was me.
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: You don't have to agree with me, and that's fine.
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: I thought the event was fine. It's just the fact that,
- 1:24:52Speaker 6: again the stuff that's on our best list is just
- 1:24:57Speaker 6: things you would just expect to be okay.
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: Anyways, right, speaking of expecting to be okay.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't agree with this one, but go ahead, okay.
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: I put on that Vault tour timing and it ran smoothly.
- 1:25:11Speaker 6: I think this year was a market improvement in consistency, right, Like,
- 1:25:18Speaker 6: there were not stumbles during the vaults, like they just
- 1:25:21Speaker 6: they showed up. Things started at a reasonable time, they
- 1:25:25Speaker 6: finished at a reasonable time. Breaks were on timing expected
- 1:25:30Speaker 6: for the most part. Yep, right there, Like the early
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: vaults it was so rough where now you just you know,
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: like it is definitely easier to go in, and like
- 1:25:41Speaker 6: now I feel like we're at a point in Vaults
- 1:25:42Speaker 6: where it's like we can be thinking about dinner, we
- 1:25:45Speaker 6: can think about what we're going to be doing on
- 1:25:46Speaker 6: nights because we know we're gonna be able to get
- 1:25:48Speaker 6: out of there at a reasonable time, right Like we
- 1:25:51Speaker 6: the expectation and the delivery is there, right Like, again,
- 1:25:55Speaker 6: this is one of those things it's like this should
- 1:25:57Speaker 6: just be what it was, but now it really it
- 1:26:01Speaker 6: was significantly great better.
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: I feel like it was better than years past, but
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: still could be improved upon.
- 1:26:09Speaker 6: Well, there's plenty of improvements in what the events are
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: and things, but the fact that what they announced in
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: what happens match is much better.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: The drinking agreed, I put that on yep, I agree,
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: I agreed. We have like good established was the.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: Best bar each of your minds this year are m M.
- 1:26:37Speaker 6: The best bar was drunk forget worlds where we were
- 1:26:43Speaker 6: just mixing drinks. Just but I love of making everybody
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: have to drink terrible bar. Tender Sheep is the fucking worst,
- 1:26:55Speaker 6: Like he is just bad. He just he definitely does
- 1:26:59Speaker 6: not want to tip, that's for sure, or maybe he
- 1:27:02Speaker 6: watched just the tip.
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: I hear you.
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: I'm the one given the tip when I'm the barday
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: Like he's like, here, drink this, like it's just here,
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: drink this, and you're like, what is it? And it's like,
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: I don't worry about it. It'll be fine, I think.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: And then you're like, oh, I was blind for more
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: and a half seconds, Okay, yeah, just just drink it.
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: And it's like I was blind for four seconds, but
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: was it?
- 1:27:22Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: And then he just wanders off, What the hell, I
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: don't know? You gave me some doozies this year. I
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: was not thrilled. One had fruit in it, and I
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: don't know what kind of fruit it was.
- 1:27:36Speaker 6: It was it muddled. Jerry Jr.
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: I'm assuming this was you to Meet the Ghosts.
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:27:46Speaker 5: I actually thought the change of the time for Meet
- 1:27:49Speaker 5: the Ghosts instead of it being Sunday at the very
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: end of the event, for KFC, putting it on Thursday night.
- 1:27:55Speaker 5: I want to say it was a much much better choice.
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: So it allowed people to ask questions and kind of
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: see it was.
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: That Thursday or was that it was earlier? It was it.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: I just I thought that for it.
- 1:28:10Speaker 5: I thought that was a much better location in time
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: I did. I just want it, Yeah, well done in
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: that manner. You have most of the people there for
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: your big events, so that's what you want.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:28:21Speaker 5: I put on the New Player kid as well. I
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: thought that it was a really like putting together Discovery.
- 1:28:27Speaker 5: While it wasn't the set that I was looking for,
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: I think the new Player kits, the little key chains
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: that were there really fit in with the theme of
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: the game. They were easy to be able to market.
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: It didn't go ahead and produce any people in our area,
- 1:28:42Speaker 5: but I thought that it was well put together. But
- 1:28:44Speaker 5: that's what I'm saying is like I still thought it
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: was well put together, It went ahead and was something
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: targeted at attracting new people, which we need, and so
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: I put it as one of the better things.
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: All right, I agree. I thought it was something I
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: may now have worked for us, but maybe it worked
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: for somebody.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: I like.
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: It was nice to it did work, It did work well.
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: It was It was nice to see an event where
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: it's like, Okay, hey, new players, it's might be worth
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: your time to come out and do a thing. You know.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: I thought it gave new players maybe some reason to
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: do something in something I'm not sure, but.
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: Out the outreach for the kids are still you know
- 1:29:26Speaker 6: what's lacking, right, people got to know to come and
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: play from the doing Okay store champions.
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: That was just for this upcoming year. So that is
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: not on one of the.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: Best Okay reason to go to locals.
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: Yeah, because of the actual No, that was that was
- 1:29:50Speaker 5: the same part it was under. Yeah, so key change
- 1:29:56Speaker 5: this having a store championship is a reason to be
- 1:29:59Speaker 5: able to go to locals, and so I appreciate that,
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: but that was in our of the visions of key
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: Ford twenty twenty six.
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: Ah, got it, okay, and somebody put foils. I feel
- 1:30:10Speaker 6: like I'm the only foil fool here.
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: No foil their foils. But I think that's again, I
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: think that's twenty twenty six. One thing we didn't talk about.
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: Now there's foils last year. No, no, there there last year. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: there are. You're right, you're right, you're right, right, I forgot.
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: I'm one of two serious foil collectors I know.
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: Okay, who's the other one?
- 1:30:37Speaker 6: Lord Judo? Other people have There are several people who
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: have collected you know, they're keeping what they've opened, but
- 1:30:45Speaker 6: I don't know many other people who are like actively
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: trying to to acquire foils.
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: Yeah, they're about to lose this game, aren't they crazy?
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: Eh?
- 1:30:58Speaker 6: Who cares?
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: Kind of do one thing we didn't talk about that,
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: I do think, well, I will you mentioned the key
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: chain for that, but keychain the website, Oh yeah, I.
- 1:31:15Speaker 5: Have.
- 1:31:16Speaker 6: I have participated in slightly more events because of it, because, uh,
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: fake Internet points are something I will try to earn,
- 1:31:25Speaker 6: even though I know they mean nothing. But I am
- 1:31:27Speaker 6: down for fake Internet points. I will you like I
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: want to be on the top of I want to
- 1:31:32Speaker 6: be if there is a list I can be on
- 1:31:34Speaker 6: top of, I'm down, I'm gonna try it.
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: So prizing does not inspire you to do anything but
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: fake Internet.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: Yes, I play for I play for the tribe that
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: likes trophies, flat metals, like thing that says I'm better
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: than you.
- 1:31:57Speaker 6: I got luckier than you.
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, that definitely means more to me than.
- 1:32:04Speaker 6: A few dollars. Like I could just work another hour
- 1:32:07Speaker 6: and make a few dollars. I don't. I don't care
- 1:32:09Speaker 6: about money. Like that just does not motivate me at all.
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: Hmm. I'm trying to think of how we turn that
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: into something key Forge prizing related.
- 1:32:23Speaker 6: They made accolades, and I think the only place that
- 1:32:26Speaker 6: they're failing in accolades for me right.
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: Now the reason I go to the player and the deck.
- 1:32:32Speaker 6: Yeah, that's why I don't chase accolades because they're not
- 1:32:34Speaker 6: on my player. For again, I don't have the one
- 1:32:36Speaker 6: place where I can be like, look at my stack
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: of accolades, because it's it is actually too difficult to
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: try to stack a ton of accolades on the same deck.
- 1:32:45Speaker 6: That is, I mean, like the deck has to be
- 1:32:47Speaker 6: absolutely stupid for you to be able to really gain
- 1:32:50Speaker 6: a bunch.
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: Of a bunch of accoes. I would like them.
- 1:32:54Speaker 6: Because only accolades are ours for winning at Arkhan or.
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: Well, and what would be cool? And I don't know,
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: maybe this is just me. I don't know if you
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: guys remember way back when when we you know, Burger
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: Token had to make your own make your own card deally, right,
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: you know, we were putting our QR codes on cards
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: to then you know, we could hand them to the
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: tournament organizer and he could just scan our QR code.
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: That right keychain now has that. But what if what
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: if giost Galaxy in some way you could get your
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: your accolades, whatever accolades you've earned with whatever decks on
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: a card of some sort. Would that be something you'd
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: be in Would you pay money to have something of such?
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: If you were allowed to have doctor sheep and you
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: could put some art.
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: No, I'm just wondering now, because every time you get
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: a new accolade you want, you have to buy a
- 1:33:56Speaker 6: new one. And I would get really annoyed with that
- 1:33:58Speaker 6: very quickly, okay, because why I like the pins they
- 1:34:03Speaker 6: go on my pin board, and when I get a
- 1:34:05Speaker 6: new one, it just also goes on the pin board.
- 1:34:07Speaker 6: Pins work for me. Okay, I don't really get to
- 1:34:11Speaker 6: show off.
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: My pin board very often, but I was just wondering
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: if that was something that would you check out.
- 1:34:17Speaker 6: There. There are people who have reprinted decks because they
- 1:34:21Speaker 6: want to reprint with the accolade on it, and that
- 1:34:25Speaker 6: again does absolutely nothing for me, Like reprinting decks is
- 1:34:29Speaker 6: about security of the deck or replacing a missing card,
- 1:34:35Speaker 6: Like that's what reprints mean to me. And even that,
- 1:34:38Speaker 6: I haven't reprint a fraud, and I still play with
- 1:34:40Speaker 6: real fraud.
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: Because what if you're allowed to put all your accolades
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: on it and it was just a fully accoladd deck.
- 1:34:49Speaker 6: I mean if there was a point where you could
- 1:34:50Speaker 6: not see the image because it was all accolades, I
- 1:34:52Speaker 6: might be down. Yeah, fraud my language. Ah, now it's on.
- 1:35:02Speaker 6: I got like four or five?
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: Really I thought I had more than that.
- 1:35:09Speaker 6: Okay, I don't know, see this is it? Like the
- 1:35:12Speaker 6: accolades are so kind of block. I don't even know
- 1:35:15Speaker 6: what my own decks have on them.
- 1:35:18Speaker 2: We can always find out, yeah we could, but anyways,
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: I'm trying anything else. What do we got? The last
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: little bit? Twenty twenty five.
- 1:35:27Speaker 6: What did we what did we missed for the best
- 1:35:29Speaker 6: things of Because I'm sure we have missed.
- 1:35:33Speaker 5: I'm sure are our loyal listeners. Will go ahead and
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: let us know once this is posted in three weeks.
- 1:35:40Speaker 6: Yeah, all I got five accolades. I'm fraud really Yeah,
- 1:35:49Speaker 6: and it's it is a little depressing. It doesn't have
- 1:35:51Speaker 6: the twenty five Worlds contender, but it is what it is.
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: Oh okay, but.
- 1:36:03Speaker 6: Yeah, what what else? Did? What else did we miss
- 1:36:06Speaker 6: in the land of expected? Which makes it the best?
- 1:36:10Speaker 6: Tcl still works, so that's one of the best things.
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: Yeah, TCOs accolades. Actually now, yeah, did you see that announcement?
- 1:36:18Speaker 6: Yah? I saw you could put posicially and now you
- 1:36:20Speaker 6: can play clo. They put some work in this last
- 1:36:23Speaker 6: few weeks. There's been some Yeah, it's there, sloppy sloppy
- 1:36:28Speaker 6: hookups exist. That's I've gone to using that. So that's
- 1:36:32Speaker 6: that's one of my best things for this year and
- 1:36:35Speaker 6: links right up to key chain. Yeah, that's been nice.
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: I haven't I haven't done much so far in twenty
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: twenty six, and the last half of my twenty twenty
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: five was very quiet as well. So but let us
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: know what you guys think are the best and worst
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: of twenty twenty five. It's gonna be posted in three weeks.
- 1:36:57Speaker 2: Last time I did because I did go and spend
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: some time with my family. I'm sorry, guys, my bad.
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: It won't happen again. I'll tell them, I'll tell Okay, kids,
- 1:37:05Speaker 2: daddy's gotta work. They said so so. But with that
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: being said, we will see you all next week. Happy fortune.
- 1:37:18Speaker 4: Everyone made the fortune with you alight?
- 1:37:27Speaker 6: I got draw Funny in the Bag.
- 1:37:31Speaker 4: And podcast on.
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: Tuesday.
