- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for back to the basics and healthcare with
- 0:02Speaker 1: Bounce Life Chiropractic, and we have doctor Harley with us.
- 0:04Speaker 2: I know, doctor Harlan. Hey John, I'm doing great. I
- 0:07Speaker 2: hope all the listeners are ready for back to school.
- 0:09Speaker 1: It doesn't feel like it's time, but there are kids
- 0:12Speaker 1: going to school, Like, how did that happen?
- 0:14Speaker 2: I mean it is August and summers getting to the end,
- 0:17Speaker 2: so it makes sense at first starting school this week.
- 0:20Speaker 1: When I was a kid, I remember we always started
- 0:21Speaker 1: school after Labor Day and then somewhere that changed and
- 0:25Speaker 1: now they start school like the day after the fourth
- 0:27Speaker 1: of July or maybe not quite that soon.
- 0:29Speaker 2: So the kids might feel the way. To the parents
- 0:31Speaker 2: maybe too. I feel think it creeps up so fast
- 0:33Speaker 2: and if you're not ready for it, it can definitely
- 0:36Speaker 2: be an exhausting week.
- 0:38Speaker 1: And so for people who do have kiddos going back
- 0:41Speaker 1: to school, whether it's this week, next week, and the
- 0:43Speaker 1: coming weeks, there are some things that this this should
- 0:45Speaker 1: also be a good time for them to maybe do
- 0:47Speaker 1: a little health check and chiropractic could be a nice
- 0:50Speaker 1: part of that, couldn't it.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean if your kids had been spending all summer,
- 0:53Speaker 2: you know, staying up really late, sleeping in really late
- 0:56Speaker 2: the school time. The schedule change can definitely be a
- 1:01Speaker 2: little exhausting. But if you're finding that maybe your kids
- 1:04Speaker 2: are having a hard time adapting to the new school change,
- 1:07Speaker 2: and maybe there's something going on with their nervous system,
- 1:09Speaker 2: they could be sublexated or out of alignments another term
- 1:12Speaker 2: for it, and so by being adjusted, it's gonna help
- 1:15Speaker 2: their body and their nervous system handle that new change
- 1:17Speaker 2: a little bit easier. If you see kids that kind
- 1:20Speaker 2: of have a hard time adapting to change, or they
- 1:22Speaker 2: have like kind of big mood swings, like little things
- 1:25Speaker 2: can easily kind of tip them like a set them
- 1:28Speaker 2: off a little bit, a chiropractic can actually really help
- 1:31Speaker 2: with that. Like, like I was talking with the nervous system,
- 1:33Speaker 2: when we're already over stimulated just due to our everyday stressors,
- 1:38Speaker 2: it's really hard to handle and focus and function with those,
- 1:41Speaker 2: and we find that with adjustments, it's gonna help calm
- 1:44Speaker 2: down the nervous system. So those everyday stressors you're still getting,
- 1:48Speaker 2: it's easier for you to handle, it's easier for you
- 1:50Speaker 2: to manage them. And we really see that with kids,
- 1:52Speaker 2: especially kids that have like ADHD or even kids that
- 1:55Speaker 2: could be on the spectrum just as like their nervous
- 1:57Speaker 2: system's a little bit more overwhelmed than you know and
- 2:00Speaker 2: having some more issues. So chiropractic can really help those
- 2:02Speaker 2: kiddos just able to function a little bit easier in
- 2:05Speaker 2: their day to day.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Absolutely, so you can help kind of even out some
- 2:09Speaker 1: of the mood swings and kids. Can you do that
- 2:11Speaker 1: for wives too? Can you tell Heidie's now in the
- 2:14Speaker 1: room right now.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I the over stimilization aspect can affect anyone at any age.
- 2:20Speaker 2: You know, we have two types short resistant. We have
- 2:22Speaker 2: the sympathetics, which is kind of like the go go go,
- 2:24Speaker 2: the fight or flight response, and they have the pair sympathetics,
- 2:26Speaker 2: which is the slow down, rest digest. Well, we should
- 2:29Speaker 2: bounce between those two systems, but we kind of get
- 2:31Speaker 2: stuck in overload overwhelm mode a lot. So anyone at
- 2:35Speaker 2: any age could definitely benefit from getting out of the
- 2:37Speaker 2: fight or flight mode and back down into rest and digest.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm just being a wise guy. So nobody needs to
- 2:42Speaker 1: call Heidi and tell her what I said. She'll hear
- 2:44Speaker 1: it on her own. I'll be in trouble on my own.
- 2:46Speaker 1: So if somebody listening would like to maybe whether it
- 2:50Speaker 1: is for their children or for themselves, say hey, I'd
- 2:52Speaker 1: like to maybe check into chiropractic for my health plan
- 2:55Speaker 1: and find a nice system that I can use moving forward.
- 2:58Speaker 1: What is the best way to connect with you?
- 3:00Speaker 2: It's never too late to get your nervous system checked
