- 0:01Revelation chapter 21. Let us pray.
- 0:07We thank you, Father, for your eternal words.
- 0:10We thank you God for this Holy scripture that we hold in our
- 0:15hands. Father, we know that it is alive
- 0:18and active and sharper than any 2 edged sword.
- 0:22God, we thank you for the power that you have given us.
- 0:26God, we pray in the mighty name of Jesus today for a fresh wind
- 0:31and fresh fire. God to blow through this camp.
- 0:34God, purify us and pull out all the dross, all the impurities,
- 0:38all the wrong thinking about you, Lord, and about theology
- 0:42and doctrine. God, I pray for a sound mind.
- 0:45God, I pray against chaos. Lord, I pray in the mighty name
- 0:50of Jesus that you will calm the storm.
- 0:52Lord, let us get out of the boat and walk on the water where you
- 0:56are. Lord, I pray that you will open
- 0:59up doors that no man can shut, Lord, and shut the mouths of
- 1:03lions. Father.
- 1:05I pray that we'll be able to walk over the hot coals and not
- 1:08be burned. Lord, I pray that we'll go
- 1:10through the waters and not be overwhelmed.
- 1:12Father, I pray for a supernatural protection, Lord,
- 1:17to envelope us, God, and everywhere that we go today will
- 1:21be holy ground. Lord, we are more than
- 1:24conquerors in Christ Jesus. Lord, we are the peacemakers.
- 1:29Lord, we are the ministers of reconciliation.
- 1:32God, I pray that you'll empower us from on high and do us,
- 1:36Father, with your presence. God, I pray for the Shekinah
- 1:39glory to come and radiate all around us.
- 1:43God, God, light up the world. Father, I pray that you'll use
- 1:47the church, the ecclesia, the called out ones, Father, to do
- 1:52the things that you have called us to.
- 1:54Father, I pray that we will not shrink back.
- 1:57I pray that we will not grow cowardly, Father.
- 2:01I pray that we'll be bold, Father.
- 2:03I pray that we will have a zeal for your house that has consumed
- 2:08us, Lord, I pray that we'll drive out the merchandisers.
- 2:12Lord, I pray that we will not be complacent and complicit, God,
- 2:16in all of the sin that you have outlined and marked clearly in
- 2:21the revealed will that we hold in our hands.
- 2:23We thank you God, for the promise of eternity.
- 2:26We thank you, God, for down payment of the Holy Spirit.
- 2:30We thank you, God, for all of the many promises that you've
- 2:34given us in the prophecies, Lord, that are going to come to
- 2:39fulfillment. We thank you, Lord, that we can
- 2:41be your hands and feet. We thank you for the mind of
- 2:44Christ. Lord, we thank you for saving us
- 2:47to the utmost. We thank you, God, for snatching
- 2:50us out of the fire. We thank you, Lord, that we can
- 2:53be called by your name. Lord, we are Christian and so
- 2:57God, you are supreme. You are our everything.
- 3:02We lock eyes with you. We do not live in fear today.
- 3:06We are not abandoned, God, we are adopted and we call you
- 3:10ABBA. We cry out, Maranatha Lord, we
- 3:13say come Lord, come. Lord, open our eyes up to the
- 3:17wonderful world all around us. The wonderful words that we hold
- 3:21in our hands. Open our eyes up to the
- 3:23spiritual realm. Help us to peek and to peer into
- 3:27all that is going on all around us.
- 3:29Lord, let us not be confounded and dumbfounded.
- 3:32God, let us not be ignorant of the schemes.
- 3:36The enemy. God, bind him in the mighty name
- 3:38of Jesus, cast him into the lake of fire.
- 3:41God cast him into the judgment and chains of utter darkness and
- 3:46gloom. Lord, in the mighty name of
- 3:48Jesus. God, we are yours, and we are
- 3:52marked by your goodness and your grace and your mercy and your
- 3:56love. And so, Father, help us to love
- 3:58our neighbor as our self. Help us not to hide in
- 4:02obscurity. Father, help us not to be an
- 4:06silent unto ourselves, but help us, Lord, to be out in the
- 4:10harvest, to be out in the firefight, God actually doing
- 4:14the work of an evangelist, Father, but protect us as we go.
- 4:18Protect us, Lord, as we do your will and as we do your work.
- 4:22And we are willing, Father, to lay down our lives for our
- 4:25brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you Lord Jesus, it's all
- 4:29about you King Jesus, hide me and hide my words, hide my
- 4:33thoughts. And I decrease as you increase
- 4:36King Jesus. And it's in your holy and
- 4:38precious and powerful and awesome name that I pray.
- 4:42Amen. Well, let's start in verse one.
- 4:49And I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the 1st heaven and the
- 4:52first earth were passed away and there was no more sea.
- 4:57So we get to see what John was seeing, and he said that heaven,
- 5:05Jesus Christ himself, said heaven and earth shall pass
- 5:07away, but not one of his words. And so we see the fulfillment of
- 5:12Jesus's words where heaven and earth has passed away.
- 5:16And we see a new heaven and a new earth, friends, and this is
- 5:20the renewing. We know that the second
- 5:22destruction is by fire, which Peter told us about in his
- 5:26epistle. And so we see that everything
- 5:28has been made new, and Jesus told us that it would be so.
- 5:32And this no more sea. So there's no more boundaries.
- 5:36This is close proximity to God Almighty.
- 5:40We do not even miss the sea because the sea to the Jewish
- 5:44mind was chaos and confusion. So He removes all of it and He
- 5:49brings about the peace and he brings about the calmness and
- 5:53the stillness of His presence. Verse 2 And I John saw the holy
- 5:59city, New Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, prepared
- 6:05as a bride adorned for her husband.
- 6:08So we get to see this cube coming down out of heaven,
- 6:14friends. Jesus said, I go to prepare a
- 6:17place for you and in my father's house there are many rooms.
- 6:21And if it were not so, I would not tell you.
- 6:23So he's went to prepare this place for us.
- 6:26The Jewish Carpenter, Jesus Christ goes and prepares this
- 6:32cube, which is reminiscent of the holiest of holy places.
- 6:38It's reminiscent, friends, of a temple.
- 6:41And here we see it coming down out of heaven and it's going to
- 6:46land on literal geographical planet earth, earth that has
- 6:50been made new. And we get to see this city of
- 6:53God, new Jerusalem, friends, the city of peace that is Shalom.
- 6:59Shalom. This is Jerusalem, friends.
- 7:02And it is beautiful. And we're going to get to see a
- 7:05little bit more about it. Not much, because God wants a
- 7:09lot of it to remain mysterious, because if we really truly saw
- 7:14it, for but it really truly is, there would not be a man or
- 7:17woman on planet earth that would not give their life over to Him
- 7:21which is not in His plans. Friends, He wants us to choose
- 7:26Him out of the mystery. He wants us to choose Him by
- 7:30faith, not because He makes us, but if we could truly see all of
- 7:36the promises of God in actuality, it would bring us to
- 7:40our knees and we would fall face down prostate before a holy God
- 7:45and say yes to him in all of his precious ways.
- 7:49He is so good friends. Verse 3 And I heard a great
- 7:54voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of God is
- 7:58with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his
- 8:02people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God.
- 8:07This is tabernacling, friends, He with us, and us with Him
- 8:11abiding, and we can actually see God, and we know that God is a
- 8:15spirit and God is in heaven and does whatever He pleases.
- 8:21And we know that God dwells in unapproachable light and no one
- 8:28has seen Him and lived. And so here is one of the
- 8:33greatest miracles is that we actually get to look upon God
- 8:37with our immortal glorified bodies and glorified eyes.
- 8:43We can look and we can see God. Verse 4 And God shall wipe away
- 8:49all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death,
- 8:52neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall be any more pain,
- 8:57for the former things are passed away.
- 8:59Somehow God is going to to make every wrong thing right and we
- 9:05will have the memory of each other, but we will not hold on
- 9:09to the memories of the negative and the bad things.
- 9:13He is going to do a work in our minds and a work in our psyche
- 9:17and so we will be relational in the sense of knowing each other,
- 9:22but we will not have a sense of who is not there with us.
- 9:26We will not have a sense of all the pain and the agony that we
- 9:30have gone through. God is going to do a mirror in
- 9:33our minds, friends. 5 and he that sat upon the throne said,
- 9:38behold, I make all things new, and he said to me right, for
- 9:42these words are true and faithful.
- 9:45Jesus Christ is true and faithful.
- 9:47We saw that on him whenever he was riding on his horse.
- 9:52He is faithful, he is true, the word of God is faithful and true
- 9:56and Jesus Christ is the word of God and he sat upon the throne
- 10:00and he says he's making all things new praise God,
- 10:04Hallelujah. We await for that time but in
- 10:06the meantime and in between time we're called out into the
- 10:09harvest. Verse 6 and he said to me it is
- 10:12done. I am alpha and Omega, the
- 10:15beginning and the end. I will give to him that is
- 10:18thirsty of the fountain of water of life freely.
- 10:21So we drink freely. Drink it friends, it's all
- 10:24available to you. He was talking to the woman at
- 10:27the well, the Samaritan woman, and he says that anybody who
- 10:30drinks of the living water will never thirst again.
- 10:34And that is what is referenced here.
- 10:35It's available to you, friend. Are you drinking of it or are
- 10:39you parched? Are you going through a dry and
- 10:42weary land? Is this world getting the best
- 10:45of you? I say to you today, drink
- 10:49deeply, drink and be satisfied, for he is sufficient.
- 10:55He's the beginning and the end friends, it's done.
- 10:59It is finished, paid in full to tell us die Jesus Christ want it
- 11:04all, and if we'll trust in him, we'll be covered in his blood.
- 11:09And we will be invited to the supper of the marriage of the
- 11:14Lamb, friends. And we await that day and we
- 11:18can't wait to be there with him. And we can start the journey.
- 11:22Now we can get slivers of heaven.
- 11:25Now we can start to live in the beauty of heaven.
- 11:32Now we do not have to wait for this time.
- 11:34He invites us into these spheres of perfection here on this
- 11:39earth. But the moment that sin enters
- 11:41into it, He departs and he is gone.
- 11:44And we're back to paying bills. We're back to going back to
- 11:48work. We're go.
- 11:49We're back to all of the drudgery of this life.
- 11:53But I pray that you could live in the cooperative tension.
- 11:58You could live in the middle of the earth and all of the
- 12:03brokenness of the earth and heaven and all of the perfection
- 12:06of heaven. And we can start the journey
- 12:08now. 7 And he that overcomes shall inherit all things, and I
- 12:14will be his God, and he shall be my son.
- 12:17We must overcome. We cannot be overcome by all the
- 12:22cares of the world, by all the tares and the snares and all the
- 12:25briars and the thorns and the thistles that come up and want
- 12:29to choke out the fruit of the Saint.
- 12:31Let's overcome, friends. Do not be dismayed by all the
- 12:35evil that's in the world. Do not be dismayed by the
- 12:38systems that are being put into the place that the Antichrist
- 12:43will use to deceive and have deception over the masses.
- 12:48We must overcome by not holding on to our life, by not living in
- 12:54fear, by not giving up one iota, not one jot, not one title out
- 13:01of the inerrant, infallible Word of God.
- 13:03We must overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our
- 13:07testimony, and not love our lives so much as is to shrink
- 13:12away from death. 8 But the fearful, the unbelieving and the
- 13:20abominable, the murderers and whoremongers, the sorcerers,
- 13:24idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake
- 13:29which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second
- 13:33death. Praise God, Hallelujah, we do
- 13:35not have to taste the second death.
- 13:39We do not have to experience the second death.
- 13:42If you are born again and if you will place your faith in the
- 13:46Lord Jesus Christ, the second death has no hold on you.
- 13:50Friends, we die once. It is appointed unto man to die
- 13:54once and then to face the judgment.
- 13:57You need to understand that those who refuse a loving,
- 14:01graceful and good God, not only will they die a natural death,
- 14:06but they will be thrown into the lake of fire forever and ever
- 14:10and ever, which is the second death.
- 14:12And it'll be death upon death upon death.
- 14:14And they'll die a billion deaths and never be able to die,
- 14:18friends. And there's no place that
- 14:20anybody would ever want to go, or for any of their loved ones,
- 14:25or for any human in all of creation to ever have to go
- 14:30here. That is why we evangelize.
- 14:32That is why we spread the good news.
- 14:34That is why we scattered the seeds.
- 14:36That is why we go out into the harvest, because this is no
- 14:40place that anyone would ever want to go.
- 14:43It is not a joke, friends. It is not loose, friends.
- 14:47This is serious. And if you truly could wrap your
- 14:50mind around the eternal torment, it would cause you to live
- 14:56differently. You would go out and you would
- 14:58evangelize every single man, woman, and child you come across
- 15:02because we're all going to experience eternity somewhere
- 15:08and there is only two choices. There's not 1/3 option, friends.
- 15:13There's no purgatory and there's no praying people out of hell
- 15:16and there's no baptism for the dead to get people out of there.
- 15:20It is set upon your last breath that you breathe.
- 15:25And He's telling us that verse 8 is a picture of apostasy.
- 15:30This is where people choose the things of this world, and they
- 15:34choose mammon and they choose this life over the things of
- 15:38God. 9 And there came to me one of the seven angels, which had
- 15:44the 7 bottles full of the seven last plays, and talked with me,
- 15:48saying, Come here and I will show you the bride, the Lamb's
- 15:52wife. We are the bride of Christ,
- 15:55friends, and praise God, Hallelujah.
- 15:58We are special in His sight, we are adorable in His sight, we
- 16:04are beautiful in His sight. Even though we are sinful
- 16:09creatures. He covers us with His blood and
- 16:13He adorns us with His perfection and His righteousness.
- 16:17And the church friends will be there with him and Him with us
- 16:23and we will fellowship for all of eternity and we'll spend the
- 16:28rest of forever and ever and ever 10,000 years we've been
- 16:33there and have no less time. Friends, we'll spend all of our
- 16:37days getting to know the groom, and I look forward to that, and
- 16:41I pray that you do too. 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit
- 16:47to a great high mountain and showed me the great city, the
- 16:51holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.
- 16:56So we see here that this New Jerusalem, friends, has been
- 17:00prepared and it is going to be posh and luxurious.
- 17:05It's going to have all of the makings of God Almighty, His
- 17:10fingerprint on every detail, and it'll be unlike anything that
- 17:14our natural imagination. There's no computer programming
- 17:18that can put together the abundance of resplendence and
- 17:23all of the beauty that we will experience in New Jerusalem. 11
- 17:30Having the glory of God and her light was like unto a stone,
- 17:36most precious, even like a Jasper stone, clearest crystal.
- 17:41This is the diamond, friends, this is beautiful.
- 17:44It is clear and it will be resplendent, and it will be the
- 17:49most majestic sight that we have ever seen. 12:00 and had a Great
- 17:54Wall and high, and 12 gates, and at the gates 12 angels and the
- 17:59names written on it, which are the names of the 12 tribes of
- 18:03the children of Israel. So this is half of the 24
- 18:06elders. These are the names of all of
- 18:09the children of Israel, the tribes of Israel here, friends,
- 18:12and these angels setting posts at all of the gates 13 and on
- 18:19the east, 3 gates, and on the N 3 gates, and on the South, 3
- 18:24gates, and on the West 3 gates. 14 And the wall of the city had
- 18:3012 foundations, and in them the names of the 12 apostles of the
- 18:35Lamb. There's the other half of the 24
- 18:37elders. This is all of the apostles, the
- 18:40disciples that Jesus Christ chose to walk with him.
- 18:44You see the 12 and you see the 12, and you put them together.
- 18:48That's the 24, and this number 12 is a number that you see all
- 18:54throughout Scripture and it points to God Almighty and it
- 18:59points to the plans that he has. And we see it here at the very
- 19:04end and he uses it in the measurements of the city of God.
- 19:08What an amazing God we serve. And He cares about all these
- 19:11things and nothing that He does is happenstance.
- 19:15It is all perfection, and it all points to Him. 15.
- 19:22And he talked with me, and he that talked with me had a golden
- 19:26Reed to measure the city, and the gates of it, and the wall of
- 19:30it, 16. And the city lies 4 square, and
- 19:33the length is as large as the breadth, And he measured the
- 19:37city with the Reed 12,000 furlongs.
- 19:40The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
- 19:44This cube. 15 100 square miles, friends.
- 19:52It's 1500 miles long and 1500 miles wide and 1500 miles high,
- 20:00friends. This is unlike anything that
- 20:03this world has ever known. And this is the New Jerusalem,
- 20:07the city of God, which comes down prepared by him. 17 Eddie
- 20:15measured the wall of it. 140 and four cubits, according to the
- 20:20measure of a man, that is, of the angels.
- 20:22So the same measurements the Angel used are the same
- 20:25measurements that John has. And you see here this is 216
- 20:31feet high, friends. 18 And the building of the wall of it was
- 20:39of Jasper, and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
- 20:44This is clean and clear, Friends, and we see that God
- 20:49actually cares, and he puts all of these precious stones in the
- 20:53earth for us to find. And we base currency off of the
- 20:57ore that's in the earth. We base the currency off of all
- 21:01the natural resources that God puts into the earth.
- 21:04And look at it here at the very end we see that God uses it, and
- 21:09God created it, and God is going to be glorified in this city. 19
- 21:18And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with
- 21:21all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was Jasper,
- 21:26the second sapphire, the third Chausdoni, the 4th Emerald, the
- 21:315th Sardonics, the 6th Sardius, the 7th Chrysalite and the 8th
- 21:37Barrel, the Knight Topaz, and the 10th Chrysophras, the 11th
- 21:41Jason, and the 12th Amethyst. So we see all these beautiful
- 21:46stones that God has placed in the earth for us to discover.
- 21:50We see them being used to reflect His beauty.
- 21:56As the light emanates from God's throne and from God in the land
- 22:00themselves. It is refracted into these
- 22:03stones and it is for our enjoyment.
- 22:08Francis we look upon all of these things that God has
- 22:13created, and it points to his glory and his beauty, and this
- 22:17is the God that we serve. 21 And the 12 gates were 12 pearls,
- 22:23every several gate was of 1 Pearl.
- 22:28And the street of the city was pure gold, as it were
- 22:31transparent glass. So you can see that the gates
- 22:35leading into the city are one singular Pearl.
- 22:41What an amazing thought, friends.
- 22:44And this points to the irritant that caused the beauty to come
- 22:52about. And we see that the heel of
- 22:55Jesus was bruised, but the head of the serpent was crushed.
- 23:00And this is all pointing towards this beautiful tension that the
- 23:07earth has experienced in order to create this masterpiece and
- 23:12the beauty that is seen in the city of God and this pure gold,
- 23:17as it were, transparent glass, unlike anything that the human
- 23:21eye has ever seen. And it will be magnificent and
- 23:26glorious and majestic. 22 And I saw no temple there, for the
- 23:33Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
- 23:36There is no need for us to go to a place to worship while we are
- 23:41there. We will go to the feet of Jesus,
- 23:45we will go to the throne of God, and they will be in the midst of
- 23:49his people. Praise the Lord. 23 And the city
- 23:53had no need of the sun, neither of the moon to shine in it, for
- 23:57the glory of God did light in it, and the Lamb is the light of
- 24:01it. So we know that God dwells in
- 24:04unapproachable light. We know that God is Spirit, and
- 24:07those who worship Him must worship him in spirit and truth.
- 24:11And we see the light of God lighting upon the city and upon
- 24:16all of the inhabitants, and there is no more night. 24 And
- 24:24the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of
- 24:28it, and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor
- 24:32into it. There will be people from all
- 24:34tribes and all languages, all tongues, friends, all
- 24:39nationalities, bringing all of the diversity into this Kingdom.
- 24:4625 in the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day, for there
- 24:50shall be no night there, which is a way of saying the gates are
- 24:54never shut. What an amazing thought.
- 24:58Friends, this is heaven. This is where we are headed and
- 25:03it will be relational. We will know each other,
- 25:06friends, and it'll be better than anything you can ever
- 25:09imagine. And if you need to know all the
- 25:12details before you'll make your decision, then you will never be
- 25:18satisfied. Your curiosity will never be
- 25:21satisfied. In reading these words, we must
- 25:24take it by faith that it is far beyond anything that the Word of
- 25:28God could have told us, and it was mysterious on purpose.
- 25:33But suffice to say, He gave us everything that we need to know
- 25:37about it to make our decision. 26 And they shall bring the
- 25:43glory and honor of the nations into it, and we'll end on. 27
- 25:48And there shall in no ways enter into it anything that defiles,
- 25:54neither whatsoever works abomination or makes a lie, but
- 25:59they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
- 26:01That's what Jesus told his disciples when they came back,
- 26:05and they were all marveling that the demons were subject to him.
- 26:08And he says, do not marvel at that, but marvel that your name
- 26:12is written in the Lamb's book of life.
- 26:15I pray that yours is. Work out your salvation with
- 26:19fear and trembling today. Today is the day of salvation.
- 26:25Give your life over to Him today.
- 26:28Do not wait for a more proper time to do it.
- 26:34Do it today, friends. Not even for anything that we
- 26:38are going to be given. We don't even care about the
- 26:41city of God in New Jerusalem and the rewards.
- 26:44We do not even care about any of what heaven's going to be like
- 26:49or who's going to be there. It's all about King Jesus.
- 26:54This is secondary, friends. The rewards and the holy
- 26:58habitation is secondary to the fellowship that we will have
- 27:03with Yeshua. I pray that that is your heart.
- 27:07I pray that that is your posture.
- 27:09I pray that that is what you are after more than anything else.
- 27:14And if you will do that, then your name will be written in His
- 27:17book and you will be welcomed in, and you'll do the things
- 27:25that he's asking you to do now. And you won't wait.
- 27:32And it won't be just for what you can get out of it.
- 27:37It'll be all about him and only him.
- 27:41And that is how you can know that you belong to him.
- 27:45It's because you will have his heart, you will have his
- 27:48motives, and it will not be selfish.
- 27:52It will not be just an exchange. It'll go well beyond that, which
- 27:59in turn will actually prove that you are his.
- 28:03I pray that you are blessed by this amazing chapter in God's
- 28:07Word. I know, I sure have been.
- 28:11I'm praying for every single one of you.
- 28:13I love you. Stay prayed up, stay hopeful,
- 28:19don't be discouraged. Greater is he who's living in
- 28:23you than he who's in the world. He has overcome the world,
- 28:28friends. He gives you his peace, but not
- 28:34as the world gives. I love you.
- 28:38See you back here tomorrow. God bless you.
