- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's bedtime stories. Tonight,
- 0:13Speaker 1: we're going to be headed back into a series that
- 0:16Speaker 1: I haven't done for a while, Kid Wizard. There have
- 0:20Speaker 1: been quite a few people in the Spotify comments anyways
- 0:24Speaker 1: asking me to continue the story, and I honestly don't
- 0:27Speaker 1: know why I haven't continued it in a while. I
- 0:30Speaker 1: think mostly just because I haven't had suggestions for it,
- 0:33Speaker 1: but they gave me a suggestion.
- 0:35Speaker 2: In the comments.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I believe their user name was Smoky, but Dominic has
- 0:41Speaker 1: also been asking for kid Wizard, and they suggested that
- 0:45Speaker 1: kid Wizard learns weather magic. So I think we're going
- 0:49Speaker 1: to do that tonight. I don't know that he'll actually
- 0:52Speaker 1: learn everything about weather magic, but I think we.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Could start that process.
- 0:58Speaker 1: If you've never listened before, I think you really need
- 1:00Speaker 1: to know is Kid Wizard is a kid who gets
- 1:05Speaker 1: invited to a wizarding school, which is inside.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Sort of a well.
- 1:10Speaker 1: There's a portal in an ancient tree that leads to
- 1:13Speaker 1: a whole other world of wizardry, and while there, the
- 1:18Speaker 1: kid is given a backpack that's kind of enchanted and
- 1:22Speaker 1: inside the backpack is an entire place to live, kind
- 1:26Speaker 1: of like a little pocket dimension, and in every episode,
- 1:31Speaker 1: the kid learns something new about magic.
- 1:35Speaker 2: If you like the podcast.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Don't forget to rate it and review it on whatever
- 1:40Speaker 1: platform you're listening on. Ratings and reviews do make a
- 1:43Speaker 1: really big difference. Positive ratings and reviews. I should say
- 1:48Speaker 1: sharing it with a friend is a big deal too.
- 1:51Speaker 1: And yeah, if you want to add free episodes, you
- 1:54Speaker 1: can always join us on Patreon. And if you haven't
- 1:56Speaker 1: joined us on Patreon, that's totally okay, but it means
- 1:59Speaker 1: you're probably gonna get nad right about here. Time to
- 2:03Speaker 1: close your eyes, get as comfy as you can in
- 2:07Speaker 1: that bed, and imagine yourself doing what the.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Kid and the story does. You wake up.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Inside your pocket Dimension backpack. You get up, swing your
- 2:22Speaker 1: legs over the side of the bed and stretch. You
- 2:28Speaker 1: head over to the little fridge in the kitchen area
- 2:31Speaker 1: of your pocket dimension, grab whatever food you want, throw
- 2:36Speaker 1: on some clothes, and climb up the long ladder. As
- 2:41Speaker 1: you climb, the top of the backpack opens up and
- 2:47Speaker 1: you step out into well a gigantic empty training hall.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You pick up the backpack and sort of squish it together,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it automatically shrinks down into a really tiny size, small
- 3:05Speaker 1: enough that you can easily place it in your pocket.
- 3:09Speaker 1: You head out of the training area, down the halls,
- 3:13Speaker 1: through the main commons area where the cafeteria is, and
- 3:19Speaker 1: suddenly you feel a little drops of water on your head,
- 3:24Speaker 1: but you're inside.
- 3:28Speaker 2: You look up to see a little cloud.
- 3:34Speaker 1: A small little spark of lightning takes off, hits you
- 3:38Speaker 1: in the shoulder, which kind of hurts, and then the
- 3:42Speaker 1: cloud starts pouring rain. Where is this thing coming from?
- 3:49Speaker 1: You wonder? As you get completely drenched with water. You
- 3:54Speaker 1: try to run away, but the cloud follows you as
- 3:58Speaker 1: if you're in some sort of cartoon. Soon you hear laughter,
- 4:05Speaker 1: familiar laughter. You look over to see Tyrannus or Rexington.
- 4:11Speaker 1: You're ourgch enemy and all of his friends laughing hysterically
- 4:17Speaker 1: and pointing at you. Clearly they're the ones behind the
- 4:23Speaker 1: well little cloud. Many thoughts begin going through your mind,
- 4:30Speaker 1: thoughts of how to get rid of the cloud, or
- 4:34Speaker 1: what exactly you could do to Tyrannus Rexington. Perhaps a
- 4:41Speaker 1: little bolt of lightning would teach him what's what? You
- 4:46Speaker 1: decide that that would probably only cause more problems. Maybe
- 4:52Speaker 1: you should just get rid of the cloud m Unfortunately,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you don't really know how to get rid of clouds.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You try to push at it using telekinesis, but it's
- 5:05Speaker 1: as if the power slips right through the thing. You've
- 5:09Speaker 1: never really dealt with cloud or weather magic before. Instead,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you decide on a completely different tactic, teleporting away. You
- 5:23Speaker 1: close your eyes, you get to that place where your
- 5:28Speaker 1: body is filled with well more relaxing thoughts, and you
- 5:34Speaker 1: imagine yourself being in a completely different place back in
- 5:41Speaker 1: the training hall where Martin teaches you various different kinds
- 5:45Speaker 1: of magic. You imagine what it looks like, what it
- 5:50Speaker 1: feels like, what it smells like, and soon your body
- 5:57Speaker 1: begins to disappear from where it is and reappear where
- 6:03Speaker 1: you want it to be. Luckily, the cloud doesn't follow. Ah,
- 6:09Speaker 1: what happened to you, kid? Martin asks, Well, Tyrannus Rexington
- 6:18Speaker 1: happened to me? You respond, Oh, wow, you're drenched. Yeah
- 6:25Speaker 1: I am, you say, Remembering that you have the power
- 6:31Speaker 1: over heat magic, you slowly raise the temperature of your
- 6:37Speaker 1: body and your clothing, and very soon you start to steam.
- 6:44Speaker 1: The water evaporates, and well, you dry off rather quickly,
- 6:52Speaker 1: What exactly did he do this time? Martin asks, he
- 6:57Speaker 1: made a cloud rain cloud that followed me arraund and
- 7:03Speaker 1: rained on me. Well, the glassic rain cloud drick hilarious,
- 7:11Speaker 1: Martin says, maybe to other people, it wasn't hilarious to me. Yeah,
- 7:18Speaker 1: good point. Did you try to push it away? Yeah,
- 7:23Speaker 1: but it didn't work. Ah, did you try doing it
- 7:28Speaker 1: using normal telekinesis? Uh yeah, yeah, Well obviously that wouldn't work,
- 7:37Speaker 1: and its cloud form water can be rather elusive. And well,
- 7:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna take a wild guess that you would like
- 7:48Speaker 1: to learn weather magic now, Uh yeah, kind of?
- 7:56Speaker 2: I thought? So?
- 7:58Speaker 1: All right, Well, well, honestly, whether magic isn't super simple,
- 8:05Speaker 1: but you have a lot of the basics you'd need.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You understand eating things up and cooling them down. You've
- 8:15Speaker 1: got your basic telekinesis. You learned lightning magic, which you'd
- 8:21Speaker 1: come in really handy if you want to add dramatic
- 8:25Speaker 1: lightning like effects or well direct the direction of them.
- 8:31Speaker 1: So I guess all that's really left is manipulating water
- 8:37Speaker 1: and air. I guess, so, oh, why doesn't telekinesis work
- 8:44Speaker 1: on them?
- 8:44Speaker 2: First of all?
- 8:46Speaker 1: Well, it does work on them to be honest with you,
- 8:50Speaker 1: it's just how you focus it on something that's so flexible.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Solids are easy. I mean, ice would be if you
- 9:01Speaker 1: really thought about it. You could have turned that cloud
- 9:03Speaker 1: into dies and then shot it back at Tyrannus if
- 9:07Speaker 1: you really wanted to. But it's often more difficult to
- 9:11Speaker 1: get the hang of using telekinesis on water. It's just
- 9:16Speaker 1: so flexible. Same can be true of air. To be fair,
- 9:23Speaker 1: you can absolutely use telekinesis against well, singular or groups
- 9:29Speaker 1: of air particles move them around, but really commanding the
- 9:36Speaker 1: air as a much bigger deal. It's a force of nature,
- 9:41Speaker 1: after all, one that affects all parts of the earth
- 9:46Speaker 1: and flows through almost all people. So to truly command
- 9:53Speaker 1: it in a meaningful way, you have to tap into
- 9:57Speaker 1: something that most people know of her learned to. It
- 10:03Speaker 1: seems like Tyrannus had it figured out. You see, Tyrannus
- 10:08Speaker 1: didn't have anything figured out. He knew enough to create
- 10:12Speaker 1: a little tiny cloud, But I doubt he can apply
- 10:16Speaker 1: that to weather in general. I'd love to see that
- 10:20Speaker 1: guy try to create a whole thunderstorm. That's a completely
- 10:23Speaker 1: different thing.
- 10:25Speaker 2: To do that.
- 10:26Speaker 1: You have to understand how weather works. You'd have to
- 10:31Speaker 1: condense the water in the air into clouds to command
- 10:36Speaker 1: the wind itself to move in a particular way, possibly
- 10:42Speaker 1: to even create a cold front or warm front. He
- 10:47Speaker 1: was probably just using basic telekinesis on a small bit
- 10:51Speaker 1: of water to create the cloud. If you want to
- 10:55Speaker 1: show him up, I say we learn real weather magic. Okay,
- 11:02Speaker 1: I'm in whatever that means. All right, Well, first let's
- 11:08Speaker 1: work on your water manipulation. Martin leads you over to
- 11:13Speaker 1: a little pool of water. Now, water is a form
- 11:18Speaker 1: of matter. It's certainly solid enough to hold on to,
- 11:23Speaker 1: but elusive. In order to truly command it in any
- 11:28Speaker 1: kind of meaningful way, it's best to sort of become
- 11:34Speaker 1: one with the water, to allow the energy from your
- 11:40Speaker 1: body to move into the water. To understand that you
- 11:47Speaker 1: and the water are not actually separate beings. You're part
- 11:53Speaker 1: of the same larger thing that holds everything together, and therefore,
- 12:01Speaker 1: in a way, the water is a part of you.
- 12:06Speaker 1: It's both outside you and inside you at the same time.
- 12:14Speaker 1: When you realize this connection, you can extend your mind
- 12:21Speaker 1: into the water.
- 12:24Speaker 2: When you can.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Feel every part of it as if it's part of
- 12:28Speaker 1: your own body, then you can manipulate it much more easily.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Watch Martin reaches out towards the water. The water lifts
- 12:41Speaker 1: up out of the pool, streams into a long, thin stream,
- 12:48Speaker 1: and starts to spin around the room. Martin moves around
- 12:53Speaker 1: as if he's performing some sort of martial arts sequence,
- 12:58Speaker 1: directing the water to move with him. Once the water
- 13:03Speaker 1: feels like it's a part of you, then you can
- 13:07Speaker 1: use your basic telekinetic principles to allow it to float
- 13:12Speaker 1: up and around. Instead of pushing against it with telekinesis,
- 13:20Speaker 1: you become it and push against other things. After that,
- 13:26Speaker 1: do you already understand the principles of heating things up
- 13:30Speaker 1: and cooling them down? You can apply those to the
- 13:34Speaker 1: water as well. He holds a ball of water in
- 13:38Speaker 1: the air and it soon begins to boil and steam. Then,
- 13:45Speaker 1: almost as instantly, it freezes into a large ball of
- 13:50Speaker 1: ice before melting into water again. He gently allows it
- 13:56Speaker 1: to flow back into the tiny little pool and looks
- 14:01Speaker 1: over to you.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Your turn.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Okay, that's all I have to do is realize that
- 14:10Speaker 1: I am the.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Water more than that. Kid.
- 14:16Speaker 1: You are everything, and everything is you. We're all connected.
- 14:25Speaker 1: We may seem separate, but uh, we're not. We're just
- 14:31Speaker 1: experiencing the sense of separateness, and just tap back into
- 14:38Speaker 1: that part of yourself that knows it's connected to everything.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Allow the water to become part of you, and making
- 14:49Speaker 1: it flow will become much much easier. You close your
- 14:56Speaker 1: eyes and reach out to the water. You take long, slow,
- 15:02Speaker 1: deep breaths, You relax your muscles, and you start to
- 15:10Speaker 1: focus on those thoughts that are well happier. You remember
- 15:17Speaker 1: the feeling of happiness in general, and you let it
- 15:22Speaker 1: fill your entire body. Then you try to let go
- 15:30Speaker 1: of any thoughts in your mind, getting rid of your
- 15:35Speaker 1: own ego, that part of you that says you are
- 15:39Speaker 1: you and you are very separate from other things. Instead,
- 15:47Speaker 1: you just breathe and you allow your very consciousness to
- 15:53Speaker 1: expand beyond your own body into the surrounding area. For
- 16:01Speaker 1: a second, it says, if you find yourself floating above yourself,
- 16:08Speaker 1: above everything in the room martin the little reflecting pool,
- 16:16Speaker 1: you look down at the water from that perspective and.
- 16:21Speaker 2: You move towards it.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Your consciousness meets the water, and you imagine it's spreading
- 16:29Speaker 1: out into the water, filling all of the water and
- 16:34Speaker 1: becoming the water. And for a second, a strange realization
- 16:42Speaker 1: passes through your body. You always were the water. You
- 16:49Speaker 1: open your eyes, move your hands, and the water moves
- 16:55Speaker 1: with them. It streams up out of the pool. It
- 17:00Speaker 1: spins around your body with ease. You form it into
- 17:04Speaker 1: the shape of a little water person and instantly command
- 17:09Speaker 1: it to freeze. Then you let it melt again, flow
- 17:14Speaker 1: around in circles. Good, kid, Now, water has different states
- 17:22Speaker 1: of being. Right now, it's liquid, and you just froze
- 17:27Speaker 1: it into a solid. If you really want to use
- 17:31Speaker 1: it as a cloud, then you're gonna have to let
- 17:36Speaker 1: it evaporate and then uh, well, recondance in a slightly
- 17:43Speaker 1: different way, like steam or a cloud. You focus on
- 17:51Speaker 1: the water and you can see that well that it
- 17:57Speaker 1: can become many different things. Just as easily as all
- 18:02Speaker 1: of the little particles can stop moving and freeze in place,
- 18:08Speaker 1: they can get a little more excited and evaporate. You
- 18:14Speaker 1: allow the water to begin to evaporate around you. Steam
- 18:22Speaker 1: rises up in the air and starts to fill up
- 18:26Speaker 1: the entire area around you. Good now, condense it just
- 18:33Speaker 1: enough that it becomes a cloud, but not a pool
- 18:37Speaker 1: of water. Again, with your connection still in the steam
- 18:43Speaker 1: around you, you move it around, you pack it together,
- 18:49Speaker 1: just not as tightly as it was before, and the
- 18:54Speaker 1: steam condenses into a cute little cloud. Good job, kid,
- 19:01Speaker 1: that's probably exactly what Tyrannus did to you, though Pep
- 19:08Speaker 1: may have used more of an external telekinetic force to
- 19:12Speaker 1: do it, since I don't think that kid could truly
- 19:16Speaker 1: connect with water the way you just have. All right,
- 19:21Speaker 1: put the water down and let's move on to air.
- 19:26Speaker 1: You allow the water to flow over the reflecting pool
- 19:29Speaker 1: again and then condense it into water and stream it
- 19:35Speaker 1: back down.
- 19:37Speaker 2: All right.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Well, air is honestly the same sort of thing. The
- 19:44Speaker 1: only difference is that it's everywhere. You can command small
- 19:51Speaker 1: pockets of air without too much trouble. But if you
- 19:55Speaker 1: want to do it on a sort of wider scale
- 20:00Speaker 1: to truly impact the weather that impacts everyone else, you're
- 20:06Speaker 1: gonna have to overcome a lot of collective belief in
- 20:11Speaker 1: the weather. What do you mean, Well, I mean that
- 20:17Speaker 1: most people expect the weather to be the way that
- 20:20Speaker 1: it is. If a weather man tells them that, hey,
- 20:25Speaker 1: it's going to rain today, then they generally believe it's
- 20:29Speaker 1: going to rain, and it does. If they believe it's
- 20:33Speaker 1: going to be windy, then it probably will be. The
- 20:38Speaker 1: wind and weather have a sort of natural pattern they follow.
- 20:44Speaker 1: That pattern can often be predicted using a whole bunch
- 20:49Speaker 1: of you know, technical weather things, and as such, there
- 20:55Speaker 1: tends to be a lot of collective belief in the
- 20:58Speaker 1: weather and well believe that it'll do what people expected
- 21:03Speaker 1: to do. And as much as that kind of belief
- 21:07Speaker 1: isn't as strong as a well directed believer like yourself,
- 21:15Speaker 1: it can still be something to get over, to reach
- 21:19Speaker 1: into the weather itself, to become one with it, and
- 21:24Speaker 1: to cause it to do things that other people will
- 21:27Speaker 1: absolutely not is happening, but won't really believe can or
- 21:33Speaker 1: should happen. Well, that's rather difficult, But like anything else,
- 21:40Speaker 1: as long as you believe that it's happening stronger than
- 21:44Speaker 1: other people believe that it's not, you should be fine.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I sort of understand you say, nah, you'll get it eventually.
- 21:56Speaker 1: As I said, we can work on wind in much
- 21:59Speaker 1: the same way we did with water. It's just if
- 22:02Speaker 1: we want to turn that into like a tornado that
- 22:05Speaker 1: other people are going to see or something, it's kind
- 22:08Speaker 1: of a different thing.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Anyways.
- 22:11Speaker 1: As I said, reaching out to the wind is the
- 22:15Speaker 1: same as reaching out to the water, possibly easier, honestly,
- 22:20Speaker 1: because it surrounds you all the time, It enters your lungs,
- 22:25Speaker 1: it becomes a part of you. So yeah, all you
- 22:30Speaker 1: have to do is expand your consciousness and ask it
- 22:37Speaker 1: to move with you. He demonstrates by moving through the
- 22:42Speaker 1: air as if he's again performing some sort of martial
- 22:45Speaker 1: arts technique. You feel the wind move around with him.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Then the wind blows so strongly that it lifts Martin
- 22:56Speaker 1: straight up into the air before placing him down on
- 23:01Speaker 1: the ground. Ah, you get the picture.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Once again.
- 23:07Speaker 1: You close your eyes, you relax your muscles, your body,
- 23:14Speaker 1: and you focus on that place where you feel perfectly content,
- 23:20Speaker 1: perfectly happy, and slowly you let go of your ego,
- 23:28Speaker 1: that part of you that knows that you are you
- 23:31Speaker 1: when you are not the wind. You let go of thoughts,
- 23:37Speaker 1: and you allow your consciousness to drift up into the
- 23:41Speaker 1: world again to that perspective where you can see Martin
- 23:47Speaker 1: and yourself and the reflecting pool. But this time, instead
- 23:52Speaker 1: of focusing on the water, you focus on the air
- 23:57Speaker 1: that's all around you, and suddenly you come to the
- 24:04Speaker 1: realization that wow, air is actually everywhere. Humans are surrounded
- 24:13Speaker 1: by air in much the same way that fish are
- 24:17Speaker 1: surrounded by water, but it's just so usual that they
- 24:23Speaker 1: kind of stop noticing it. You wonder for a second
- 24:28Speaker 1: if fish really notice that they're in the water until
- 24:31Speaker 1: they're not.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Weird.
- 24:35Speaker 1: You allow your consciousness to fill the air around you,
- 24:41Speaker 1: to remember that the air is in fact part of
- 24:45Speaker 1: you in some way, and slowly you open your eyes
- 24:52Speaker 1: and the wind moves with your body that spins around
- 24:57Speaker 1: in circles. It lifts you up into the air and
- 25:02Speaker 1: gently allows you to fall down. All right, kid, I
- 25:08Speaker 1: think you've got it now to create a thunderstorm. What
- 25:16Speaker 1: Tyrneus did was very small scale, I'd say, and I
- 25:22Speaker 1: think somebody with your magical ability can do better. As
- 25:29Speaker 1: I explained, it can be rather complicated to create a
- 25:33Speaker 1: thunderstorm that people don't expect, because well, their expectation itself
- 25:39Speaker 1: has power. But you, kid, you seem to be like
- 25:44Speaker 1: the type that doesn't really care about those things, the
- 25:48Speaker 1: type that figures out how to do it anyways, the
- 25:53Speaker 1: type that can believe more than everyone else around you.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Act type that should be able to manipulate the weather itself,
- 26:05Speaker 1: especially in this here magical pocket dimension where you know
- 26:10Speaker 1: there's not billions of people who expect the weather to
- 26:13Speaker 1: be a certain way. It'll be easier. Here is what
- 26:17Speaker 1: I'm saying. Grab your flying skateboard thing and let's head
- 26:22Speaker 1: up into the sky. With a quick focus of your mind,
- 26:29Speaker 1: you imagine the skateboard of peering out of your pocket
- 26:32Speaker 1: and flying under your feet. It listens, it shoots out
- 26:38Speaker 1: of your pocket, out of the little backpack in your pocket,
- 26:42Speaker 1: expands to its full size, and lands on the ground
- 26:45Speaker 1: in front of you. You step on top of it
- 26:49Speaker 1: and feel an almost instant link to the thing. Martin's
- 26:54Speaker 1: magic carpet flies underneath him and he does the same thing. Together,
- 27:01Speaker 1: you blast out the main doors of the training facility,
- 27:05Speaker 1: through the halls of the castle, and out and up
- 27:09Speaker 1: into the air above. All right, kid, to create a
- 27:15Speaker 1: real thunderstorm, you're gonna need to do a couple things first,
- 27:21Speaker 1: and you'll have to gather a large cloud. That means
- 27:26Speaker 1: calling the water to you. The water is always present
- 27:31Speaker 1: in the air, unless it's like super dry, but it's
- 27:36Speaker 1: pretty much always there. Just like a dehumidifier can somehow
- 27:41Speaker 1: filter it out of the air. You should be able
- 27:45Speaker 1: to find it, condense it, bring it together into a
- 27:50Speaker 1: large cloud and allow that cloud to start raining down.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Your connection to the wind should allow it to pick
- 28:01Speaker 1: up as well. And well you already understand creating paths
- 28:06Speaker 1: for lightning. Those three things should create a pretty epic
- 28:12Speaker 1: thunderstorm if you ask me. Ah, Okay, you close your eyes,
- 28:22Speaker 1: floating on your skateboard high above the world, when you
- 28:27Speaker 1: find that you're still in that correct state, that place
- 28:32Speaker 1: where you understand that the wind and the water.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Are all parts of you.
- 28:42Speaker 1: But this time you expand your consciousness further, not just
- 28:48Speaker 1: into a little bit of the air or water surrounding you,
- 28:53Speaker 1: but into the entire area above the magical castle. You
- 29:01Speaker 1: grab the water in your mind and you begin to
- 29:05Speaker 1: condense it from nowhere. Slowly, steam starts to rise up
- 29:14Speaker 1: into the world, and you command that steam to move
- 29:19Speaker 1: itself together to collect itself into a gigantic cloud. The
- 29:28Speaker 1: air continues to produce steam, and as it's created, it
- 29:34Speaker 1: moves together until the cloud gets larger and larger, darker
- 29:40Speaker 1: and darker and darker. Good, now, let's make the wind
- 29:48Speaker 1: pick up a little bit for you know, dramatic effect.
- 29:53Speaker 1: You expand your mind once again, this time into the
- 29:58Speaker 1: wind surrounding the place the air itself. You command the
- 30:05Speaker 1: air to go from being relatively calm to a little
- 30:11Speaker 1: more excited, to blow through the castle, through the trees,
- 30:19Speaker 1: and you know, generally, just intensify things a little. The
- 30:25Speaker 1: more you focus, the stronger the wind blows. You command
- 30:30Speaker 1: it around in a little circle, a continuous force that
- 30:36Speaker 1: pushes against the castle and people below. All right, now,
- 30:42Speaker 1: maybe add in a couple lightning strikes. You focus on
- 30:47Speaker 1: creating a pathway for the lightning as you did before,
- 30:51Speaker 1: and you unleash its power. A lightning strike zips down
- 30:57Speaker 1: towards the ground and strikes a tree beside the castle.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Another one hits the ground itself. All right, now, unleash
- 31:09Speaker 1: the rain. Still allowing the cloud to be a part
- 31:15Speaker 1: of you, you give it the command to condense to
- 31:20Speaker 1: that point where it can't hold itself up in the
- 31:24Speaker 1: air anymore. Water starts to fall down faster and faster.
- 31:32Speaker 1: The wind continues to blast, and you continue to direct
- 31:37Speaker 1: a few lightning bolts, mostly through the air itself, as
- 31:41Speaker 1: you don't want to do too much damage below. Ah right, kid,
- 31:46Speaker 1: good job. I'd call this a real thunderstorm. Below you
- 31:55Speaker 1: see students and teachers making their way out of the
- 31:59Speaker 1: castle and looking up but the sky above to see
- 32:04Speaker 1: exactly what's going on. Most of them know, well, they
- 32:09Speaker 1: know what's going on, since they understand magic and understand
- 32:14Speaker 1: that the thunderstorm appeared out of nowhere. As the cloud
- 32:20Speaker 1: drains itself of all water, the sun reappears. You let
- 32:27Speaker 1: go of your connection to the wind and allow it
- 32:30Speaker 1: to become still once again, and you and Martin drift
- 32:35Speaker 1: back down towards the castle, where you see all of
- 32:39Speaker 1: the students and teachers staring at you in awe. Why
- 32:45Speaker 1: are they all looking at me like this? You ask, Oh,
- 32:50Speaker 1: that's because you just did an incredibly advanced magical technique
- 32:54Speaker 1: that most of them will never achieve. Even the teachers
- 32:58Speaker 1: haven't really figured it out for the most part. You kid,
- 33:03Speaker 1: are a bit of a prodigy. Really, yeah, did you
- 33:09Speaker 1: really think that most people learn how to create a
- 33:12Speaker 1: thunderstorm out of nothing in a matter of thirty minutes
- 33:16Speaker 1: or so? I mean, come on, on the way back
- 33:20Speaker 1: inside on your skateboard, you pass Rexington and his friends.
- 33:26Speaker 1: They too look rather shocked as you fly by, rather
- 33:31Speaker 1: like they might think twice before messing with you again,
- 33:36Speaker 1: Or perhaps maybe not. They don't seem all that smart.
- 33:41Speaker 1: You make your way back to the training hall and
- 33:45Speaker 1: jump off your skateboard and look over at Martin. Well, kid,
- 33:50Speaker 1: that's probably enough for one day, he says, as he
- 33:53Speaker 1: pulls a tiny little backpack out of his pocket, grabs
- 33:57Speaker 1: it with his other hand, spreads them apart, and causes
- 34:01Speaker 1: the backpack to grow. At the same time, the top
- 34:06Speaker 1: of it unzips. He climbs inside, steps down a ladder
- 34:11Speaker 1: that shouldn't really be able to exist, and then the
- 34:15Speaker 1: entire backpack just floats up in the air and disappears
- 34:19Speaker 1: from existence. You suddenly let out a large yawn. The
- 34:25Speaker 1: whole effort of creating a thunderstorm has left to you
- 34:29Speaker 1: rather mentally exhausted.
- 34:32Speaker 2: You reach into your own.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Pocket, expand your own backpack with the same gesture, and
- 34:40Speaker 1: climb inside it. Moving down a ladder, you watch the
- 34:46Speaker 1: zipper zip above you as you make your way to
- 34:50Speaker 1: the ground. You laid down in your bed, pull the
- 34:56Speaker 1: covers up to your chin, and pretty quickly you begin
- 35:02Speaker 1: to fall asleep. You let go of the tension and
- 35:07Speaker 1: your muscles. With each breath, you allow yourself to sink
- 35:12Speaker 1: down deeper and deeper into the mattress, and with each breath,
- 35:20Speaker 1: you allow your mind to wander off to thoughts of
- 35:25Speaker 1: new dreams, new magic, and new adventures to come. Good night, everyone, command.
- 39:24Speaker 3: The New York Union.
- 43:03Speaker 4: No no thing, no more mo.
- 45:23Speaker 3: In New York
