Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie,
- 0:04Speaker 1: and it's time right now for today's word. The battle
- 0:09Speaker 1: before the breakthrough, The battle before the Breakthrough. First Samuel one,
- 0:16Speaker 1: thirteen through fifteen says, seeing her lips moving but hearing
- 0:20Speaker 1: no sound, he thought she had been drinking. Must you
- 0:23Speaker 1: come here drunk? He demanded, throw away your wine? Oh no, sir,
- 0:29Speaker 1: she replied, I haven't been drinking wine or anything stronger.
- 0:33Speaker 1: But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out
- 0:35Speaker 1: my heart to the Lord. You know. In First Samuel one,
- 0:40Speaker 1: Hannah was carrying an invisible burden. She was deeply wounded, misunderstood,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and desperate for a miracle. For years, she had lived
- 0:49Speaker 1: with the pain of barrenness, the ridicule of others, and
- 0:52Speaker 1: the quiet questions in her own heart. When she finally
- 0:56Speaker 1: poured out her soul to God, the very person who
- 1:00Speaker 1: have encouraged her, the priest, misjudged her and spoke words
- 1:05Speaker 1: that could have shut her down completely. This was not
- 1:09Speaker 1: just an emotional moment for Hannah. It was a defining moment.
- 1:13Speaker 1: We often celebrate her victory when she later gives birth
- 1:17Speaker 1: to Samuel the Promise, but the real victory happened here.
- 1:20Speaker 1: It happened long before the baby ever arrived. The real
- 1:23Speaker 1: victory happened when she refused to accept the wrong interpretation
- 1:28Speaker 1: of her situation. Come oh jeesus. She didn't let discouragement,
- 1:34Speaker 1: she didn't let misunderstanding, she didn't let negative words pull
- 1:38Speaker 1: her out of position. Before every breakthrough, there's usually a
- 1:42Speaker 1: battle before every new level. There's a resistance. Before you
- 1:46Speaker 1: give birth to your promise, someone or something will try
- 1:50Speaker 1: to talk you out of it. There will always be
- 1:52Speaker 1: an eli moment when the dream feels fragile, and voices
- 1:57Speaker 1: trying to convince you that you're wasting your time, that
- 1:59Speaker 1: you're it's too emotional, too hopeful, too unrealistic. Someone may
- 2:04Speaker 1: tell you you'll never get well, you don't have what it takes,
- 2:08Speaker 1: you'll never break that. Addition, you've waited too long. It's
- 2:11Speaker 1: too late now. The devil is a liar. See. The
- 2:14Speaker 1: real victory is not when the promise shows up. The
- 2:17Speaker 1: real victory is when you refuse to let doubt take
- 2:21Speaker 1: root in your mind. It's when you choose faith over fear.
- 2:25Speaker 1: It's when you choose trust over frustration and hope over
- 2:28Speaker 1: what looks impossible. Hannah didn't argue, she didn't try to
- 2:32Speaker 1: defend herself or walk away offended. She calmly stood in
- 2:37Speaker 1: her truth as she kept on believing. She won the
- 2:40Speaker 1: battle in her heart before she ever held Samuel in
- 2:43Speaker 1: her arms. Jesus, that's how it works for us to
- 2:47Speaker 1: You must protect your peace and guard your faith when
- 2:50Speaker 1: the promise is still invisible. If you don't receive the
- 2:54Speaker 1: negative word, they can't stop you. If you don't let
- 2:56Speaker 1: doubts settle in your spirit, it can't derail your death.
- 3:00Speaker 1: To me, the moment you stay in faith when it
- 3:03Speaker 1: would be easier to quit, that's when the real victory happens.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Oh Father, thank you that we can be still and
- 3:09Speaker 1: know that you are God. Help us to stand strong
- 3:12Speaker 1: in the defining moments of our lives when things come
- 3:15Speaker 1: against us and try to discourage us from what you
- 3:17Speaker 1: promised us. God, we choose faith over fear and peace
- 3:21Speaker 1: over pressure. God, we declare that we will not receive
- 3:24Speaker 1: negative words, and we will trust you through every season
- 3:27Speaker 1: of our lives. In Jesus' name. Hey, now that's your
- 3:30Speaker 1: word for today. Take it apply to your everyday life,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and you continue to be encouraged to and inspired. It
- 3:36Speaker 1: is your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Knacky
