- 1:00SPEAKER_03: I'm your host, Bobby D.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: I got my guy D Hustle right here.
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: What up, what up?
- 1:05SPEAKER_03: And then my cousin Raymond.
- 1:06SPEAKER_03: Don't call him Ray Ray.
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: What's up, Raymond?
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: You gonna point at the camera at least?
- 1:09SPEAKER_03: Say what's up?
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: What's up, everyone?
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: What's up?
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 1:12SPEAKER_03: So I know the scenery's a little different.
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: Look at D Hustle.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: Always you, this guy.
- 1:16SPEAKER_03: Don't worry about me.
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: Any problem he can solve.
- 1:18SPEAKER_03: That's it.
- 1:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, everybody.
- 1:20SPEAKER_03: Put some comments in the below for my guy.
- 1:22SPEAKER_03: Uh, but we definitely want to shout out all of you that are following along and that have been here from episode number zero to episode 100.
- 1:31SPEAKER_03: Appreciate you.
- 1:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, give him some words.
- 1:33SPEAKER_03: Go ahead, D.
- 1:33SPEAKER_03: Well, you want to send some words?
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: Well, first of all, if you made it this far with us in this beautiful journey, we do appreciate you.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: We love you with dearly, dearly, dearly from the bottom of our hearts.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: And if you are just started with us, welcome.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: We have a lot more to give you guys a lot of knowledge, a lot of AI, a lot of gadgets, and a lot of uh Raymond's favorite Raymond's nuggets.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: Nuggets.
- 1:58SPEAKER_03: How about you, Raymond?
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: You want to say a quick word?
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, actually, I want to thank the audience for sticking through with us, and then you guys, you the hustle, and then also I wanted to rattle off some stats because this is the one-hundredth episode.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, what's up, player?
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: So basically, I don't know if you guys realize, and including the audience, that 44% of podcasts never make it past three episodes.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: People record the intro, get excited, then ghost.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: 90% quit before episode 20.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: That's the famous one.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: 90% of the rest quit before episode 20 after the first three.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: 75% and around 25%.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: So only 8 to 9% make it to 50 episodes.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: We are on the 100th episode, which puts us at the 5 to 6% mark of podcasts out there.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: So just to let you know, that's a 94% failure rate of people hitting before they even get to the 100th episode mark.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: So there are 4.5 million podcasts out there.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Only 350,000 are recording actively and putting out episodes.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: So yeah, we are in the 5 to 6%.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Let's give a shout-out to the tech hustle.
- 3:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 3:09SPEAKER_03: Big, big, big shout-outs to not just the tech hustle for consistency.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: Where's that round of applause at?
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: There we go.
- 3:14SPEAKER_03: But also to um the followers, uh, like D Hustle said, has been following us from the beginning of time.
- 3:20SPEAKER_03: Um, we started way back on Twitter Spaces.
- 3:22SPEAKER_03: Y'all remember Twitter Spaces?
- 3:24SPEAKER_03: We were using Twitter Spaces, just doing audio only.
- 3:27SPEAKER_03: Um, and then we did audio only on Spotify, and then people were like, we want to see y'all, and then we start to post on YouTube, and we've been holding it down with 15,000 subscribers.
- 3:35SPEAKER_03: 15,000.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: Big shout out, big shout out to everybody who's been on the board, who came on board.
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and who's about to be on board.
- 3:43SPEAKER_03: Facts, facts, and then definitely big shout-outs to the whole team around us.
- 3:47SPEAKER_03: Y'all don't know, but D Hustle does a lot on this podcast, not just the one that's managing the switchboard, but he also helps production produce all of this content, getting it published.
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: And thank you so much for that.
- 3:57SPEAKER_03: And then Raymond does the research and analysis, and uh big, big shout outs to you, my guy.
- 4:01SPEAKER_03: So I appreciate you on the show.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: Shout out to Raymond because I didn't know nothing that he just said first to 50.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Uh only Raymond makes those research.
- 4:12SPEAKER_02: Raymond brings up the stats, right?
- 4:14SPEAKER_02: He brings out the stats, so we didn't know nothing about this.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and and definitely shout out to all the other members of the tech hustle from Raham to Jasmine uh to TK, uh, to my son for creating logos and definitely branding-wise, uh, to our intern Young, what is it, Young Thug?
- 4:30SPEAKER_03: Young Thug, Jordan Martinez holding it down for the summer.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: Um, big shout outs to everybody that's come through our doors and support us on this podcast.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: Especially, yeah, yes.
- 4:39SPEAKER_03: Especially how sponsored.
- 4:41SPEAKER_03: Yes, yes, yes, 1,000% for Marvelous Creations, uh, Sunshine Photography, Wonder Lux with Leslie and Company.
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: Um, we also had this the social project pull up, also Jordy for Julius.
- 4:53SPEAKER_03: All of y'all that has supported us for uh, you know, these past few months or past few years, I'm sorry, in getting us to a 100.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: I'm still giving you love anyway, uh Jordy.
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: That's the Jordy in the social project.
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: I need my damn shirts.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I need to stop playing around, man.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: Because back order.
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: Nah, yeah, that's what they told me last time.
- 5:17SPEAKER_03: They got you, they got you.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: But I don't know how Bobby got a shirt before me.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: Come on, man.
- 5:22SPEAKER_03: I need to figure this thing out here.
- 5:24SPEAKER_03: You know, when you go and do the deal face to face, bro, you know.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: No, but seriously, man, definitely thank you all for supporting us.
- 5:32SPEAKER_03: Uh, this episode is not our normal episode.
- 5:34SPEAKER_03: We usually have it broken down where we talk tech current events, we jump into uh Raymond's Nuggets, we have tech insights, and then we always have the sports section.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: Let's see the my my guy's favorite section of the show.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: Uh and it ain't about that today.
- 5:48SPEAKER_03: It's not about that today.
- 5:49SPEAKER_03: Uh it's about 100.
- 5:51SPEAKER_03: It's about 100 and also about um the journey that we've gone through.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: Um and I'm grateful we found that beat for you because we were looking for it for a while.
- 5:59SPEAKER_03: We're still looking for it right now.
- 6:01SPEAKER_03: Still looking for it.
- 6:02SPEAKER_03: Like I said, we're still looking for another one to up us.
- 6:04SPEAKER_03: But uh so we got a few spotlights, um things that we've done before um actually the pre-show recording.
- 6:12SPEAKER_03: Uh, then I'm just gonna run through here and really, you know, just dive into some of the things that we've uh talked about, um, some of the themes that we've, you know, really highlight.
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: And uh one core value that we wrote down here is um 100 episode.
- 6:26SPEAKER_03: Uh, what did we learn about technology, the culture, and ourselves, and what does the number 100 uh demand from us?
- 6:32SPEAKER_03: Um, one thing that I really want to let you all know is please check out our past recordings.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: I was listening to some of our older recordings when we were talking about uh data centers, cloud services, jobs, roles, responsibilities.
- 6:45SPEAKER_03: We had some really cool episodes about a number of gadgets that D Hustle was like the first one to report on, or uh an amazing utility site that Raymond's come through with.
- 6:54SPEAKER_03: Um, and we'll go through some of them.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: Um, but in terms of like um what does you know a lot of this mean?
- 7:01SPEAKER_03: What one of the questions that I have here that um I want to break down, and I'll I'll throw it at Raymond first.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: So we'll put Raymond on the hot seat.
- 7:08SPEAKER_02: Oh, I like that.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: Um is what where was that question?
- 7:13SPEAKER_03: What has and this is just a little bit off the cuff so that we can get started.
- 7:16SPEAKER_03: Like, what has Raymond's Nuggets segment been been meant or meant for you so so far since we've um originally established it?
- 7:23SPEAKER_03: Raymond's Nugget segments.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, it definitely what it kind of feels like my baby now.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: So like feels like my baby, and also it gives me the challenge of researching and trying to come up with good nuggets.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: So just trying to see if I'm gonna come up with something that de hustle's gonna hate, or something my friend Art's gonna like, or one of my co-workers that listens.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: So yeah, just I like the challenge of just coming up with if you guys think it's stupid or if it's gonna be good, just coming up with the nuggets and stuff.
- 7:56SPEAKER_03: But but I tell you, I enjoy it.
- 7:57SPEAKER_03: The D Hustle is is definitely been holding Raymond um.
- 8:01SPEAKER_02: Let me help you out in case you haven't heard it before.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: Let me help you out.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: That's his favorite.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: I'll tell you, Raymond last year said he was batting 99%.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: Like, who bats 99%?
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Nobody, not even saying 99.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: I say like 90%.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: He's still up in the 90s.
- 8:22SPEAKER_03: But uh so but but really actually thinking about too early part of our show, Raymond.
- 8:26SPEAKER_03: What what do you remember about our early versions of this show here?
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, I remember the early versions is I wasn't I wouldn't it was like it wasn't nuggets, I was like telling stories and then it kind of evolved into like nuggets and then yeah, yeah.
- 8:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and how about you uh D, what what are some of the early um moments that you remember about the show?
- 8:48SPEAKER_02: Uh early moments.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: Well, first thing I remember is um doing it in the house.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:55SPEAKER_02: Uh I had uh some beautiful coffee that I did.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: And uh if you have not listened to the first season, yeah, I highly recommend you guys listen to the first season.
- 9:07SPEAKER_02: It was one time there that I was completely caffeinated on there.
- 9:12SPEAKER_02: Uh I think I had a shot, a regular coffee plus an expression shot on top of it, and I was gone, I was at a thousand.
- 9:21SPEAKER_03: I was out of thousand.
- 9:22SPEAKER_03: I remember that episode.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: And you know what?
- 9:24SPEAKER_03: I thought it was a problem with the mic, as how as long as you were.
- 9:27SPEAKER_03: It was a problem with me.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: It was a problem with me.
- 9:30SPEAKER_03: Oh man, no, no.
- 9:31SPEAKER_03: But I I remember those moments, and I tell you, we like I said, we go back to Twitter spaces where um each of us were logged in through our phone.
- 9:39SPEAKER_03: Um, I believe Darwin was actually at my crib, and then Raymond was at his, and then we were trying to make sure the music would flow and uh interact with each other.
- 9:47SPEAKER_03: Uh, but I I I tell you, those beginning journeys allows us to get to these moments here because uh Dar Darwin manages the full switchboard, so he ain't gonna be that loud no more.
- 9:57SPEAKER_03: Um but another thing that I remember is um like I've always wanted to make sure that the production of our show was up to a par where people would really want to listen in from music uh to ad libs and adding different types of sounds and experiences for our our listeners.
- 10:13SPEAKER_03: Um and I tell you, as soon as we really took our podcast out from Twitter spaces into audio only, and then we got our first switchboard, which is a roadcaster, uh the roadcaster pro, uh it actually elevated our show even more because then it started to be more of a fully produced live show uh that d Hustle was able to, like I said, adjust the sounds for each of us, uh, but then add in the background sounds and and and ad libs.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: So whenever you hear those inside of our show, I just know that d Hustle is doing this live.
- 10:42SPEAKER_03: So he, my guy, he's been taking care of all of that and just making sure that our experience and your experience has really been um uh up to this par.
- 10:51SPEAKER_03: Um another question I have here, and I'm gonna throw it at Raymond, is like when when did you stop feeling like uh it was more of an experiment and we was actually really making things happen here?
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: Uh let me see.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: Uh probably I would say is I started freaking out is once you said that we're gonna go on video.
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: No, that's definitely true.
- 11:12SPEAKER_02: He was scared as shit of the video.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was terrified.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: I was like, I don't want to be on video.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: I was like, okay, so we go from audio where no one knows what we look like to now being on the internet, which you know can't erase it.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: Um that's when I started to this day he's still nervous.
- 11:28SPEAKER_03: Still nervous.
- 11:29SPEAKER_03: You just should have seen us setting up the cameras and stuff.
- 11:31SPEAKER_03: Look like he was at uh he was nervous, he was getting his first day of school picture or something like that, right?
- 11:36SPEAKER_02: You remember Brian Allen's VIF photos?
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: Just like that.
- 11:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:44SPEAKER_02: Oh man.
- 11:44SPEAKER_02: All he's missing is the black leather jacket.
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:48SPEAKER_03: But but have you seen Raymond's IG now?
- 11:50SPEAKER_03: I mean, now my guy is popping on IG.
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: You know, he had a video to go viral.
- 11:54SPEAKER_03: He went viral on TikTok.
- 11:56SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 11:59SPEAKER_03: Shout out to Raymond.
- 12:00SPEAKER_03: Shout out to Raymond.
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: And he didn't want people to know who he was.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: Well, now you're too late now.
- 12:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: How about you, D?
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: When did you feel like we stopped with just the experiment and we were just really, really doing it up?
- 12:14SPEAKER_02: Uh, when we got here, man.
- 12:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: Personally, when we got into this beautiful studio, checking out this uh beautiful shout out to 1016 studio.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: Big shout out to giving us uh the love and opportunity to be here and record here.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: Um great space, great environment, great aura.
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:31SPEAKER_02: Um, it was good.
- 12:32SPEAKER_02: I was like, oh man, we we we hitting the big now.
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, for sure.
- 12:36SPEAKER_03: And and like he said, big shout outs to Trina um and the whole team over here at uh Studio 1016.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: Uh, if you are in West Palm Beach and you're looking for a space, a co-working space, but also studio space to do podcast recording, photography, and this is just a creative space.
- 12:51SPEAKER_03: Check them out.
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: You can check them out at the studio 1016.
- 12:55SPEAKER_03: Um, and these are our people, so let us let them know that we sent you, and then we can maybe get a discount or something like that.
- 12:59SPEAKER_03: Maybe treat them to listen to talk to a listener, yeah, yeah.
- 13:03SPEAKER_03: And all of them and you remember Vic?
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: You remember Vic when Vic was here?
- 13:06SPEAKER_03: Vic, yeah, man.
- 13:06SPEAKER_02: Shout out to Vic.
- 13:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Dominican guy.
- 13:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, shout out one one of our first uh conciers that we met here.
- 13:13SPEAKER_03: He was running a show here, so big shout out to him.
- 13:15SPEAKER_03: And shout out, and what was that other chick that the one that moved to New Orleans that moved to Louisiana?
- 13:19SPEAKER_03: Um, the young uh young lady, she was running the concierge desk for a long time.
- 13:25SPEAKER_03: I can't remember her name.
- 13:27SPEAKER_03: Um, I apologize, but big shout outs to you too, also.
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: Shout out, and then to uh my to my friend, um the one and only um um my uh popcorn lady.
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: Oh, Yasmin.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: Yasmin.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: Shout out to Yasmin over there.
- 13:42SPEAKER_03: Yes, big shout out to Yasmin.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: She's been helping and holding us down.
- 13:45SPEAKER_02: Trina, if you're still watching this, yeah, I got a table for sale.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: Let me know if you're interested in how to go real quick.
- 13:51SPEAKER_03: You see, he's always making moves, any type of opportunities here.
- 13:54SPEAKER_03: And for me, I would say what really started to um let me know that we were making big moves is when we start to actively interview a lot of some of my old friends that I used to work with.
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, the mentees.
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so it definitely is um uh like uh progressive and iterative for us to get to this point.
- 14:11SPEAKER_03: Uh myself and Dee Hus will travel the country for about two years, you know, visiting places from San Francisco, Houston, New York, Atlanta, um, and interviewing a lot of my friends.
- 14:20SPEAKER_03: Um and if you haven't checked out that podcast, it's called Backstage with Bobby D, and we got some really cool recordings.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: Um but as soon as we started to do that, and I tell you, it it really opened my eyes up into uh the spaces that we can give for people to have voices, uh, especially so many underrepresented people in tech.
- 14:38SPEAKER_03: Um but when that all came together and then we have the space right here where we can chill, I knew I knew we were doing big time.
- 14:43SPEAKER_03: I knew it was just about there.
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna say shout out to all everybody from Backstage Dodge Lee.
- 14:48SPEAKER_02: The list is long.
- 14:48SPEAKER_02: I can't say you name everybody's list.
- 14:50SPEAKER_02: And if I say a name and they haven't said I'm gonna get a phone call, say you left my name out.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: So I'm really not gonna say anybody's name right now, to tell you the truth.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: So shout out to all of y'all.
- 14:59SPEAKER_03: You remember you remember Demogee?
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: Uh not Demogee.
- 15:02SPEAKER_03: Um uh is it Dimage G?
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: No, uh uh MDG.
- 15:06SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry.
- 15:07SPEAKER_03: MDG.
- 15:08SPEAKER_03: When we was in San Francisco, you were talking shit about the uh the the uh San Francisco um what's the baseball team?
- 15:14SPEAKER_03: Um damn, why can't I?
- 15:17SPEAKER_03: Giants, yeah, the Giants.
- 15:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and she was about to chop you up, bro.
- 15:22SPEAKER_03: But we had some really good conversations, and like D Hustle said, the list is long, so I do appreciate all of y'all for holding it down.
- 15:28SPEAKER_03: Um now when when you say um making it to 100, like um what what what almost stopped us from making it to 100, what would you say, if if there was anything on your end, Raymond?
- 15:41SPEAKER_03: Was there anything that was gonna stop you from getting us to 100?
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: Uh anything that was gonna stop us from getting to 100, uh I would say just you know people not giving feedback and then you know not seeing our subscribers grow.
- 16:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:00SPEAKER_01: So but just seeing all of that just kind of like pump me up and just kind of get me going.
- 16:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, for sure.
- 16:07SPEAKER_03: And and I concur too.
- 16:08SPEAKER_03: It's like um once we start to have the growth, we had the following, and then um, especially with the backstage of Bobby D, we had people reaching out to us like they want to be involved in it.
- 16:17SPEAKER_03: Um, I knew we were gonna be able to get to 100.
- 16:19SPEAKER_03: How about you, Raymond?
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: What I'm at D, Hustle, I'm sorry.
- 16:21SPEAKER_03: Um, what was it?
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: Was there anything I'm better looking than the guy?
- 16:26SPEAKER_03: You know, you know, I'm reading the notes and I see Raymond's name, so that's what came out.
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: I'm at D.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: Was there anything that you're gonna do?
- 16:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, you're gonna keep it with Raymond.
- 16:33SPEAKER_02: That's fine.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: Uh personally, I th I I thought we wasn't gonna continue due to Raymond getting the girlfriend.
- 16:42SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, specifically, no, I'm gonna tell you when I'm gonna tell you exactly what us.
- 16:46SPEAKER_02: When you first got with your girl, I I thought, like, damn, this guy's not gonna show up anymore.
- 16:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's gonna call out on a consistent basis, he's gonna try to go all out with his girl.
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: He ain't coming back.
- 17:00SPEAKER_02: It went from three to two.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: But no, actually, so one point one for me.
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: He is still here, ladies and gentlemen, after all this time.
- 17:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, shout out to him and his girl.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: Uh congratulations for making it continue happening.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: We might not see one-on-one, uh, but we might we'll see what happens.
- 17:20SPEAKER_03: I mean, there's there's always, especially when we start talking about sports, these two.
- 17:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah, other there's a name that we can't mention.
- 17:26SPEAKER_03: You don't mention it yet.
- 17:29SPEAKER_03: Oh, you can keep that.
- 17:32SPEAKER_03: Didn't he get traded?
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: He's yeah, right?
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: Actually, he's at Atlanta right now.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he is not uh he fumbled a few times and the typical tool shit, you know, not too crazy.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: You don't say.
- 17:43SPEAKER_03: You're not surprised, Raymond.
- 17:45SPEAKER_03: You don't say.
- 17:46SPEAKER_03: All right, so next question I have here is what's a behind-the-scenes uh that would surprise our audience?
- 17:53SPEAKER_03: What what behind the scene moment do you think would surprise our audience, Raymond?
- 17:57SPEAKER_03: You're up.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: Uh behind the scenes moment that would surprise our audience is we actually do you know show prep.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: We're like researching, we're thinking of different topics.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: I'm researching, Eddie Hustle's researching, Bobby's researching.
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: We're not just doing this on ad lib and stuff like that.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: We're actually putting in work.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: So but um yeah, just on the back of the behind the scenes I'd say.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I think uh podcasting, and and I ain't gonna front, y'all.
- 18:28SPEAKER_03: It it it looks um well put together, but it requires a whole village and a team to make it really happen.
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: From uh all the things that Raymond mentioned, um, from D Hustle Mixon, and then all the things that D Hustle does with Raham, um our video producer to make the quality look where it is.
- 18:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, y'all just don't know the amount of work that goes into it.
- 18:47SPEAKER_03: Um and and I I would just say that it it's it's an honor to you know create something as beautiful as what we do, uh, but it all attests to the amount of work we put in.
- 18:57SPEAKER_03: How about you, D?
- 18:58SPEAKER_03: But what do you think is uh a behind the scenes moment that would surprise the audience?
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: Behind the scenes moment that's surprising interesting.
- 19:06SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm gonna say it right now.
- 19:08SPEAKER_02: I want the audience to hear this completely here.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: Listen in, y'all, listen in.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: Listen in.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: It's okay to say it starts with an M and ends with a J.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: Go ahead.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: Say it.
- 19:25SPEAKER_02: Is the what?
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: That LeBron's the goat.
- 19:30SPEAKER_02: Oh, find the right button.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: And this is why he always has that.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: So behind the scenes, ladies and gentlemen, Raymond said that MJ is the goat.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: I love to hear it.
- 19:41SPEAKER_02: He didn't want to see it.
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: Of course, she's on camera now, but unfortunately, that's what he said.
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: And that's the reason why I said behind the scenes.
- 19:48SPEAKER_02: What is it but unfortunately, typical Raymond.
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: He's gonna have to get that on the consistent basis now, and it is what it is.
- 19:56SPEAKER_03: Obviously, I can see how how it goes on this show here.
- 20:00SPEAKER_03: Um, by yourself.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: One that I recall uh as like something that a lot of people, when we tell them like how we set up and produce, is that we record on iPhones, like iPhone 11 and iPhone 12.
- 20:12SPEAKER_03: Oh, there we go.
- 20:13SPEAKER_03: There it goes right there.
- 20:14SPEAKER_03: Big shout-outs to it.
- 20:15SPEAKER_03: But we record on iPhones.
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: We actually do a lot of our production, especially when we were traveling um for two years, all of that production was done on iPhones.
- 20:24SPEAKER_03: Um, and and what is like something that I don't think the audience may not know in terms of surprise is uh that you can get a podcast up and running with the least amount of equipment.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: Um, you don't need like the whole big old, you know,$3,000 camera,$4,000 lighting,$10,000 setup and stuff like that.
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: Um if you just put your your head down and understand how things are set up and the resources, uh, you can get this thing done.
- 20:49SPEAKER_03: So we we've done a lot of our our recordings um on iPhones and um blessings to our our video recording guy because he makes it look like we're we're on the best DSL or the Sony or Sonic or or whatever the the uh the the Nokia uh whatever the best way he uses.
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he takes care of it.
- 21:08SPEAKER_03: So uh big shout outs to him.
- 21:10SPEAKER_03: And yeah, if if if we can do it on iPhones, like there's really nothing that um all y'all can't do.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: Now, if you want to bring us one of those high quality ones so we can test it out to see uh how it works, I'm more than happy to go ahead and uh yeah try it out, see how it works, let you know, give you good feedback.
- 21:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:27SPEAKER_03: I think that's a great segue because the Hustle's tech events, uh or I'm sorry, tech current events is one of our special segments that we have during the show.
- 21:35SPEAKER_03: It's usually at the beginning of the show, and people love listening in.
- 21:38SPEAKER_03: Um and one thing that I want to ask is what story uh sounds small but become much bigger that you've um heard o over the time that uh that we've been recording here.
- 21:49SPEAKER_03: And and I got I got a hint on on which which of the vendors or technology uh D Hustle definitely has uh um Some you know strong opinion about but which one comes in?
- 22:02SPEAKER_03: You want me to start?
- 22:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, sorry.
- 22:03SPEAKER_03: Go ahead.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: Well, definitely Apple.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: I mean, what more do you want me to say about Apple?
- 22:10SPEAKER_02: It's the same shit over and over again.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: Same, you know what?
- 22:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you can use it.
- 22:15SPEAKER_02: I got you, I got you.
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: It's the same crap, man.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: Uh same here.
- 22:18SPEAKER_02: Let me break it down for you.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: Same phone, same rectangular shape there.
- 22:23SPEAKER_02: Uh nothing has been changing.
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: Uh, the only thing you guys done is the width size, the lemp size.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: You know, you have something smaller, you have something bigger, you have a pro, the pro max, you have a regular phone, and you, you know, it at the end of the day, it's just uh Apple.
- 22:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:42SPEAKER_02: And all your damn software updates.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: God damn it.
- 22:46SPEAKER_02: Tired of your shit already.
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: I just had one today.
- 22:48SPEAKER_02: I had to fucking update it again.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Did you?
- 22:50SPEAKER_02: But you know what it is?
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: I talk a lot of shit.
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: I still use the damn phone.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: Um, and I haven't upgraded yet.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: So the only person that has upgraded was the guy on the right hand side of me, uh, Raymond.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: So yeah, that was uh that was like by force.
- 23:07SPEAKER_03: What the upgrading it?
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:09SPEAKER_03: Oh, why tell us why?
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, so I was still running uh iPhone 10 or an 11 for like four or five years, and I was on one at a 64 gig.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: So yeah, basically I had no space, couldn't download no apps or nothing.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: I kept uninstalling apps just to be able to do updates, and that's what kind of forced my hand to get an upgrade.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: Let me get this straight real quick.
- 23:33SPEAKER_02: I'm just making sure that I'm understanding here.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: You didn't pay the dollar extra for additional?
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: I did not.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: So basically, it got to the point where Apple was saying you're not gonna receive any more updates because your phone is discontinued.
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: So what?
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so uh you pay for weirdest apps and shit, and you can damn this guy and his dollar.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I tell you, bro, the dollar situation has to feel but how do you like the new phone?
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: Um, I like it, it's good, yeah.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so is it better than the old one?
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's better than the old one, yeah.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, ain't nothing it's yeah, it's still the same rectangular thing.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: But but I guess I'm set now for the next five years.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, did you get the 64 now?
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: Did you upgrade it?
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: I got like uh I think I got like a 256.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: Good for you, man.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: Look, shout out to my man over here 256 making big moves.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: Big moves.
- 24:29SPEAKER_03: Actually, I wanted to ask Raymond about uh there was one other device that Raymond was definitely talking more about the Apple Vision Pro throughout the year.
- 24:36SPEAKER_03: Um, and and did you ever buy one?
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: Or no, I never got one.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: Um I never even like really experienced one.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: I think the only person here to experience it was D.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: Husseau.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: I think he tried one out.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: So uh I like it.
- 24:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I like it.
- 24:49SPEAKER_02: I just can't afford a 35 to 3800 for that set.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, I can do a lot of things for 3800.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: Um because they're gonna do taxes and everything.
- 25:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I just I I if it's on sale, maybe like 15 to 2000, maybe.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: Maybe but then again, it's how long am I gonna utilize it for?
- 25:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: Like a perfect example, I rocked the shit out of the Oculus, and that's just collecting dust now.
- 25:19SPEAKER_03: My son's too.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: So it's like okay, what's next?
- 25:24SPEAKER_03: You know, so well, outside of gadgets, we were that it's definitely another good transition here.
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: Um, there were a few that came to mind, uh, like some folding phones, uh, the glasses that you were saying.
- 25:35SPEAKER_03: Uh what do you think about you know Apple talking about but not fully delivering on those things?
- 25:40SPEAKER_02: If you guys haven't heard our one of our uh beautiful um tech hustle uh podcasts yet, uh they talk about an iPhone folding phone that's coming out.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: I it is actually happening.
- 25:51SPEAKER_02: So congratulations.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: Um, it's supposed to be this year.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: Oh but you never know where Apple.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: They they've been giving me these false hopes.
- 26:04SPEAKER_02: Uh but yes, uh here's coming out, it's supposed to be a bang for the buck.
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: The price is not what I expected.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: You're looking at two stacks plus wow uh for this.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: So um, if you guys want a new phone, ladies and gentlemen, and you're gonna I I know it's gonna be sold out.
- 26:22SPEAKER_02: I I I can tell you that already.
- 26:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's because Apple actually is funny because I was talking to a guy who worked at Apple uh for 12 years, and he was telling me that the company itself, their main thing is the customer and then the product second.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: And as of right now, they was like it was very hard for them for them to help the customers out because the product was selling itself.
- 26:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, I got you, gotcha.
- 26:49SPEAKER_02: And I was like, that's crazy because I was telling him about the podcast, and he was like, Yeah, it was it's very, very weird that they have you know these this beautiful way of trying to get people to you know, you go in, what are you looking for?
- 27:04SPEAKER_02: How many memory, how many this?
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: And a lot of customers come in already knowing what they want.
- 27:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: So they don't even have to sell, it's already selling itself.
- 27:14SPEAKER_04: Gotcha.
- 27:14SPEAKER_02: So it's it's it's crazy, man.
- 27:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, if you're selling bricks and people coming to get bricks, you're just gonna keep selling bricks.
- 27:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know what I'm doing.
- 27:23SPEAKER_02: I want a I want a great brick.
- 27:24SPEAKER_02: I don't want to give me none of that regular shit.
- 27:27SPEAKER_03: Oh man.
- 27:28SPEAKER_03: Oh, how how about uh another uh uh technology that flopped?
- 27:32SPEAKER_03: Do you any any other one that come to mind?
- 27:33SPEAKER_03: Uh you Raymond?
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, another technology that flopped.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: No, that flopped.
- 27:39SPEAKER_01: No, nothing can come to mind offhand outside of uh Vision Pro.
- 27:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm about to throw one your way.
- 27:46SPEAKER_03: How about Tesla, bro?
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: Tesla that flopped?
- 27:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 27:51SPEAKER_02: He's talking about uh the subscription oh yeah uh self-driving thing.
- 27:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know if that flopped, but it definitely is stupid though.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: But this is um this is the route that these car companies are going.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so it looks like Ford does this too.
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: So they have like their own little FSD program and stuff like that.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: It's much cheaper than FSD from Tesla, and they do a subscription as well.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: I think theirs is like 500.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: You just pay for it for the year and you're done.
- 28:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:23SPEAKER_02: Well, with Flock is still Tesla.
- 28:25SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna tell you why exactly right now.
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: I'll tell you Tesla still has the same fucking body style, same model, just like iPhone.
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: They ain't changing shit besides the lights in the front and the light in the rear.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, how long is that Tesla's out for like eight years already?
- 28:39SPEAKER_02: Facts, facts, same body style, nothing's changed.
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's they're like Apple, they just come out with software.
- 28:44SPEAKER_03: That's why they're friends.
- 28:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:47SPEAKER_03: How about there was another uh self-driving car company D that I remember you had uh Waymo Yeah, Waymo.
- 28:53SPEAKER_03: Waymo?
- 28:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, what was what was that one?
- 28:55SPEAKER_02: That was the self, so that was the self.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: So we went to San Francisco uh to do a uh I don't know if he was on backstage with Bobby D.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: Uh and we was walking down, um, is it what what's that famous uh Market Street or Embarcadero?
- 29:09SPEAKER_03: It was Embarcadero.
- 29:10SPEAKER_03: Was it Barcadero?
- 29:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I don't know, but I wanted some clam chowder.
- 29:14SPEAKER_03: Oh, you're talking about Fisherman's Wharf.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: Fisherman's Wharf.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 29:17SPEAKER_02: Uh and we seen this beautiful car self-driving by itself.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: And we was like, wow.
- 29:23SPEAKER_02: And as soon as we Bobby was like, yo, we gotta get in there, we gotta get in there.
- 29:27SPEAKER_02: It's it's uh it's a no, we got to.
- 29:29SPEAKER_02: I was like, yo, listen, uh I don't trust that shit yet.
- 29:33SPEAKER_02: Uh so please, uh, slow down, slow your road.
- 29:38SPEAKER_02: He was like, no, man, it's the experience, dog, and it's the experience.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: I was like, okay, you know what?
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: You want to do it, let's do it.
- 29:43SPEAKER_03: There we go.
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: For some odd reason, I got in the fucking front seat.
- 29:46SPEAKER_02: I don't even know why.
- 29:47SPEAKER_02: So I'll be the first person to go.
- 29:49SPEAKER_02: Uh so we got in there and I was we were driving, it felt really good, man.
- 29:53SPEAKER_02: The car felt good, it was moving.
- 29:55SPEAKER_02: But I told Bobby, yo, man, it feels like somebody's driving this shit.
- 30:00SPEAKER_02: Like, how do you know when to stop or how to stop or how the guy's there?
- 30:04SPEAKER_02: It felt like somebody is driving it.
- 30:07SPEAKER_02: Soon or later, a couple weeks, or well, a couple months later, it has been confirmed.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: Somebody's driving the car at home like a stimulator.
- 30:17SPEAKER_02: Is it a simulator?
- 30:18SPEAKER_02: Like a simulator, yeah.
- 30:19SPEAKER_02: Like a simulator.
- 30:20SPEAKER_02: And all this time, shout out to Darwin.
- 30:23SPEAKER_02: The fucking freaking.
- 30:24SPEAKER_02: He reported it first.
- 30:25SPEAKER_02: I repeated it first.
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: I was like, yo, this it feels like it.
- 30:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 30:29SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna lie, you you definitely had called it out.
- 30:32SPEAKER_03: And I would say that it felt like it too, but I was still believing in the technology, you know what I'm saying?
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: The technology and the mindset was right.
- 30:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 30:41SPEAKER_02: But I felt, I was like, yo, I felt like somebody's driving this shit.
- 30:44SPEAKER_02: It's like, there's no way there's somebody, and the way it stopped and the way it made the turn, I was like, hmm, okay.
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: I get it.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: See, see, you're a driver.
- 30:52SPEAKER_03: That's that's you see, you you are filling the car differently than me.
- 30:55SPEAKER_03: I'm just a passenger, like kicking my feet up.
- 30:57SPEAKER_03: And I remember we got in the car and I'm on like recording myself, da da da da da.
- 31:01SPEAKER_03: Darwin's like, shut the fuck up.
- 31:03SPEAKER_03: I'm just and I'm like, yo, I'm so in the moment as like a passenger.
- 31:08SPEAKER_03: And Darwin is like, hold on a second, we gotta fill this car.
- 31:11SPEAKER_02: We took two trips.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: He I took the first one in the front seat, and then he did the front seat, the other trip.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: And I was like, Wow, how does it feel?
- 31:18SPEAKER_02: He was like, Oh man, it feels great.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: It feels great.
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: I said, All right.
- 31:23SPEAKER_02: Still feel like somebody's driving this car.
- 31:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there's no way that they're very that careful.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: Um, but it is what it is.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: I'm understanding.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: There's nothing wrong.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: Great company, Jaguar made the car.
- 31:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:33SPEAKER_03: Um, direction in Miami.
- 31:35SPEAKER_03: When when I took the rookies, yeah.
- 31:36SPEAKER_03: I took the rookies uh their last day uh here at the tech hustle.
- 31:40SPEAKER_03: We decided to go to Miami for a field trip, go to the We Work office just to you know hit the office there.
- 31:45SPEAKER_03: But when I got there, I seen Way Moo driving around, and I was like, yo, boys, do y'all want to go in it?
- 31:49SPEAKER_03: They were a little nervous, but they got in the car and then they got on their phone like nothing.
- 31:52SPEAKER_03: Like it was just like it was just like a regular Uber for them.
- 31:55SPEAKER_03: Like they've been doing this before.
- 31:57SPEAKER_03: You know what I'm saying?
- 31:57SPEAKER_03: I'm like, uh, whatever.
- 31:59SPEAKER_03: But at least they got the experience.
- 32:00SPEAKER_03: The only one that's left is Raymond.
- 32:01SPEAKER_03: You you gotta make a trip over there to go check it out, bro.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: I gotta uh it's on my list.
- 32:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 32:06SPEAKER_03: And they happen in Atlanta too.
- 32:07SPEAKER_03: So uh big, big shout out to another shout out here.
- 32:10SPEAKER_03: Round of applause.
- 32:10SPEAKER_03: I was in Atlanta this past week at Render ATL.
- 32:13SPEAKER_03: It's an amazing conference.
- 32:16SPEAKER_03: I mentioned to somebody that this is the first most diverse black conference, tech conference that I went to.
- 32:21SPEAKER_03: Um, and it was extremely technical and it was hitting on all cylinders, of my opinion.
- 32:26SPEAKER_03: Um, I definitely want to encourage you all if you are looking for a tech conference, check them out.
- 32:30SPEAKER_03: It's Render ATL.
- 32:31SPEAKER_03: It happens once a year.
- 32:32SPEAKER_03: Um, and there's a few more conferences lined up from Blackest Tech and also Black Men in Tech.
- 32:37SPEAKER_03: They're having it in Dallas this year.
- 32:39SPEAKER_03: Big shout out to Cam and his whole team.
- 32:41SPEAKER_03: Um, but definitely Justin is the president CEO over there.
- 32:44SPEAKER_03: Uh great conference, my guy.
- 32:47SPEAKER_03: Put me on the main stage next time, man.
- 32:49SPEAKER_03: I'm trying to be up there with the big boys.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: So Cam is one of the highlights in the here.
- 32:52SPEAKER_03: No, no, that's Justin.
- 32:53SPEAKER_03: Justin's one of the highlights.
- 32:54SPEAKER_03: Cam is the baller guy down south of Miami.
- 32:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 32:58SPEAKER_03: Big shout outs to them all.
- 32:59SPEAKER_03: Um but they they also have Wayne running around Atlanta now, in downtown, midtown Atlanta.
- 33:06SPEAKER_03: Scooters are still there.
- 33:07SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 33:07SPEAKER_03: They're still hitting.
- 33:08SPEAKER_03: But uh, there's no scooters down in Miami no more.
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: I guess everybody's taking them.
- 33:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no doubt.
- 33:15SPEAKER_03: All right, so we're we're gonna uh jump into another segment that's really cool on a show.
- 33:19SPEAKER_03: It's called uh Raymond's Nuggets.
- 33:20SPEAKER_03: What is Raymond's Nuggets sound?
- 33:22SPEAKER_03: So if you ever hear any of our show and we hit that sound, um, you know Raymond's about to get on the mic um and let it know, uh let people know a few things.
- 33:30SPEAKER_03: But one of the questions I have here for Raymond is uh what nuggets do you do people still need to use today?
- 33:36SPEAKER_03: Do you have uh any in mind?
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: I got a couple, but um one I'm gonna say that people still need to use today is therunpee.com.
- 33:47SPEAKER_01: When you go to the movies.
- 33:48SPEAKER_03: What's that?
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: It's the app that basically you put the movie in and it tells you at what point you can go to the bathroom and you won't miss something important in the movie.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: Ah Yeah, I remember that garbage.
- 34:04SPEAKER_01: That's very important because you know you're getting your snacks and your drinks, but you don't want to get up because I had this issue, you know, a couple weeks ago, you know.
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: Let me refrain from it.
- 34:14SPEAKER_02: It's a great nugget, yeah.
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: Uh but I feel like you're gonna go use the bathroom, that's when you're gonna get the most important thing about the movie on that section.
- 34:25SPEAKER_02: For example, you're probably looking for the action pack, and the action is there, and then next thing you know, you it tells you run pee, go this time, this time.
- 34:33SPEAKER_02: But it tells you the whole story.
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: Why is the guy probably killing, or why is the person still doing?
- 34:39SPEAKER_02: And then by the time you come back, what I miss, well, you missed this, this.
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I had to go pee.
- 34:44SPEAKER_02: It told me right here.
- 34:46SPEAKER_02: Run P.
- 34:46SPEAKER_02: What is it called again?
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: Run P.com.
- 34:48SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh, my guy here.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: But um, yeah, I think that that can still be used to to this day.
- 34:54SPEAKER_03: How about how about I remember one was the hotel privacy?
- 34:57SPEAKER_03: You remember that one?
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: Hotel privacy, yeah.
- 34:58SPEAKER_01: D hee Hustle loved that one.
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: I did.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: Basically, um, yeah, there's a pandemic going on in the country.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: You guys, I don't know why you haven't experienced this because you travel a lot, where bathrooms at hotels are not having doors.
- 35:14SPEAKER_01: So there are some bathrooms and hotels that are just wide open.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: So imagine you with your, I don't know, like your let's just say it's not your significant let's just say.
- 35:22SPEAKER_03: Hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 35:23SPEAKER_03: I ain't gonna be in a hotel other than with my significant owner.
- 35:26SPEAKER_03: Let's just stay that the up right now.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, for example, like I had one of my Toastmasters, they're going to a conference, and they're like, Does anyone want to share a hotel that takes some money?
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: So imagine you going with like a Toastmaster person and you're sharing a room and you're gonna go take a dump and the there's no door, it's wide open, and your freaking fellow toastmaster or your friend is in the bed.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: So that's crazy to me.
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: So this app or this website tells you the hotels that actually have a door to the bathroom.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: First of all, I think I had a lot of issues with this fucking segment topic.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: Number one, what fucking hotels are you getting that doesn't have a he's going to the love suite one.
- 36:10SPEAKER_02: The honeymoon suite.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: But apparently there is bat hotels out there.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: Number two, there's part you there was probably a door.
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: You know how some doors are completely just synced in.
- 36:19SPEAKER_02: Oh, like flushed in.
- 36:24SPEAKER_02: That's number number two for me.
- 36:27SPEAKER_02: It's got it's gotta be something.
- 36:29SPEAKER_02: And number three, you must be a cheap ass hotel that is no freaking door.
- 36:33SPEAKER_02: I mean, they couldn't afford a door.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: I agree with you, Darwin.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: So you find this hard to believe yourself.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: I do find it hard to believe.
- 36:39SPEAKER_01: Check out that website, it will tell you the hotels that don't have a door.
- 36:42SPEAKER_02: That's funny.
- 36:43SPEAKER_02: Well, I haven't been to one yet trying to look for one.
- 36:46SPEAKER_03: I'll tell you the only one I ever have, and that's why I said you gotta be careful.
- 36:51SPEAKER_03: Well, me and the wifey, we were in um Mexico for a wedding.
- 36:55SPEAKER_03: It was a really nice, one of those like swim out type rooms that the bathroom is right there, the the uh tub for you to take a bath in, uh, so you can have an indoor jacuzzi, the shower is like on the edge, so it's like really romantic-y type stuff, right?
- 37:09SPEAKER_03: I I definitely seen that before.
- 37:11SPEAKER_03: So I don't have a problem with that because I'm going with the wifey, right?
- 37:15SPEAKER_03: Okay, um, other situations, normal room separation from the bathroom is a must.
- 37:21SPEAKER_03: I understand what you're saying.
- 37:22SPEAKER_03: Yes, but don't say that that's the norm, though.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: I didn't say that's a norm, I'm just saying there are hotels out there, believe it or not, that don't have a door to the bathroom.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: That's funny.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
- 37:33SPEAKER_02: The next time you go to one, take a picture.
- 37:34SPEAKER_02: Uh I can see what's going on.
- 37:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:38SPEAKER_03: One that I remember from Raymond's Nuggets is uh Unclaimed Money.
- 37:42SPEAKER_03: You remember that one?
- 37:43SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 37:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 37:44SPEAKER_03: D hustle quickly went to go check.
- 37:46SPEAKER_03: That one's like checking.
- 37:49SPEAKER_03: I ain't got no money left behind.
- 37:50SPEAKER_02: That's these two guys that left money left behind on the table.
- 37:54SPEAKER_02: Oh man.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: That is um, yeah, I got some unclaimed money out there.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: That's a really good one.
- 37:58SPEAKER_01: That's a good gem.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: Oh man.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, from like deposits from like, you know, your water bill or FPL bill or your cousin or your mom or whatever.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it's a lot of unclaimed money out there.
- 38:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, for sure.
- 38:11SPEAKER_03: So another one that um for the segment, and this was kind of uh pointed towards D, is like uh what recommendation best represents this segment here?
- 38:20SPEAKER_03: Like what what what type of recommendations have uh D I meant that Raymond's given uh best describes the segment to you?
- 38:28SPEAKER_02: I don't even know, bro.
- 38:29SPEAKER_02: To tell you the truth.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: Well, I every every week I always look forward to this.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: That's what I look forward to.
- 38:38SPEAKER_02: Uh come on, man.
- 38:40SPEAKER_02: Because I'm trying to figure out what nuggets.
- 38:42SPEAKER_02: Oh well.
- 38:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: I'm just trying to figure out what nugget she's gonna say so I can figure out if it's a good nugget or a bad nugget.
- 38:48SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm looking for.
- 38:49SPEAKER_02: That's some good movies and shit.
- 38:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she's gotten some round of applause.
- 38:55SPEAKER_03: I mean, you can't start off the gate with that one, though.
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: I don't know, man.
- 38:59SPEAKER_03: Um you know one that I was watching the other day that every time um I listened to it, it always gets me going is uh Raymond had asked you, D D Hustle, do you believe in the devil?
- 39:10SPEAKER_03: And I was like, whoa, hold on a second.
- 39:12SPEAKER_03: Hold on, sir.
- 39:15SPEAKER_03: And then the movie was Daredevil, and he was like giving them a round of applause.
- 39:18SPEAKER_03: I was like, oh my gosh, is this like uh the first one in the books?
- 39:22SPEAKER_03: Yes, yes.
- 39:22SPEAKER_03: Um, but that that one was a really funny one.
- 39:25SPEAKER_03: Um but Raymond, I will I will definitely say Dorn Raymond's Nuggets.
- 39:28SPEAKER_03: So Raymond Nuggets covers utility sites, um, just technology underlining, but also some movie um reviews and recommendation.
- 39:36SPEAKER_03: Um you always have a recommendation that's the best that's ever been.
- 39:40SPEAKER_03: Um so yeah, it's definitely commonly mentioned by you, which is good, you know, it really gets you hyped up.
- 39:46SPEAKER_03: Um and you definitely like watching movies in theater.
- 39:49SPEAKER_03: Um, and and I I really appreciate that more cinematic type view movie experience.
- 39:55SPEAKER_03: Um, I don't know if you've been batting at 90%, but you've definitely been doing better this year.
- 40:00SPEAKER_03: So I think I think the feedback that you received from the hustle with that button there um has has made movie recommendations and TV shows a little bit better for you.
- 40:10SPEAKER_03: So let's help them out.
- 40:11SPEAKER_02: Let's help them out.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: I think I've been recommending quality shows.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: Considering, let's just say Severance, Shogun.
- 40:19SPEAKER_01: How these are like top tier shows.
- 40:22SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, these are considered like some of the best shows that have been made in the last 10 years.
- 40:26SPEAKER_01: So I'm just saying, penguin, too.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, penguin was.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: We all can all agree that penguin is uh knock out the park, Daredevil.
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: You haven't watched that, Bobby?
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 40:35SPEAKER_01: Did you ever go back to Severance?
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: Did you ever give it a shot?
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: Nobody will.
- 40:39SPEAKER_03: Was there a cricket sound on there?
- 40:41SPEAKER_01: Unbelievable.
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: You guys one of these years, you guys are gonna turn it around and be like, oh but um, okay.
- 40:50SPEAKER_03: That one's a little tough one.
- 40:52SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 40:52SPEAKER_03: All right, so last thing about Raymond's Nuggets segment is uh what what what did you see if there was any moments that really made you feel that Raymond's Nuggets were official?
- 41:02SPEAKER_03: Um, one one of those, and I'll start it off right here, is uh um, so I've been running a lot of analysis on our show and how it's been performing.
- 41:09SPEAKER_03: And one of the things I looked at is comments that we have either on YouTube or Instagram or even in TikTok.
- 41:15SPEAKER_03: And I will say that um for me, Ram's Nuggets has been out there.
- 41:20SPEAKER_03: So Ramon's Nuggets first de hustles uh tech current events, and then my tech insights usually catch a little bit, but mostly y'all two have really hit the the audience commenting section.
- 41:30SPEAKER_03: So uh definitely when I start to see that, I was like, all right, Raymond, you can keep this.
- 41:34SPEAKER_03: We almost dropped the whole segment.
- 41:38SPEAKER_03: We almost dropped the whole segment, but as soon as I started to see all the comments that y'all making, I was like, all right, we gotta keep this segment in.
- 41:44SPEAKER_03: But that that's what I felt like it was really hitting for me, though.
- 41:48SPEAKER_03: And anything that you saw that really made you feel like, oh man, this segment is really popping.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like uh first initially what started off really slow was just getting the little comments from like real people, like my friends and stuff.
- 42:01SPEAKER_01: Hey, Ray, that's a good nugget, or try this out, and then you know, getting some feedback from people here and there.
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: But then what really blew it up for me was I don't know how it's been a few months now, was the one topic that we talked about a few months ago about uh meta giving free training.
- 42:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 42:18SPEAKER_01: You, me and D Hustle had a little, you know, intense debate about it.
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: And then for whatever reason, I didn't I thought it was just you know an average nugget, and this thing went super viral on Instagram to like uh over, I don't know, over 50 comments reposted several times.
- 42:39SPEAKER_01: I even got a a thing from Instagram.
- 42:41SPEAKER_01: Congratulations! Like this thing still goes out.
- 42:44SPEAKER_01: I'll get like one or two comments here and there a week.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: This thing is still going.
- 42:47SPEAKER_01: I just thought it was just a regular old nugget, and that thing just spiraled out of control, and I'm still waiting to try to find the next viral nugget.
- 42:55SPEAKER_01: Every week I'm trying to the next topic.
- 42:57SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, but yeah, so but yeah, that's what really like kind of kicked it off of me.
- 43:01SPEAKER_01: It was like, wow, that's crazy.
- 43:03SPEAKER_03: That's what's up.
- 43:04SPEAKER_03: That's what's up.
- 43:04SPEAKER_03: How about you, Demon?
- 43:05SPEAKER_03: When did you feel like that segment was starting to hit?
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: His segment is starting to hit.
- 43:13SPEAKER_03: I told you it almost got cut, but it it stayed on the roster, bro.
- 43:17SPEAKER_02: I don't know, man.
- 43:18SPEAKER_02: I I feel like some of the stuff that he he be watching, like movie be watching, I think is where his girl puts him on.
- 43:25SPEAKER_02: Ah you know, I think that uh Bridget.
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: Nah.
- 43:30SPEAKER_02: These extra she's like, I don't want to watch this.
- 43:34SPEAKER_02: It's really me.
- 43:35SPEAKER_02: Some of these shows or stuff that he watches, it's it's very uh, very woman like to tell you the truth.
- 43:45SPEAKER_02: It's like one of what was that show that he wanted me to watch uh that I felt like, damn, you watch that shit?
- 43:51SPEAKER_02: Like and it's it's like what was that that movie that it was um Was it the lady that was pregnant and then try to fake like she was pregnant?
- 43:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was like Documentary.
- 44:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the documentary.
- 44:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've been on a documentary kick the last few months.
- 44:04SPEAKER_02: I'm just like, is that you, or that was your girl?
- 44:07SPEAKER_02: He was like, that's that wasn't her?
- 44:09SPEAKER_01: That's me.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: My girl likes to watch um what you call smut TV, which I feel like I'm losing brain cells when I try to do that.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: What's that?
- 44:17SPEAKER_01: Like uh Real Housewife type stuff?
- 44:19SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm like, I'm not watching this.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: I like to watch things that are like, you know, either docs or a good movie.
- 44:26SPEAKER_01: Like, she watches what you call smut TV.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: Like, and I just can't do it.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: I feel like I'm losing brain.
- 44:31SPEAKER_02: So that was the one that that it was uh the all of us, it was the all of us, or it was some other show that it was it was like a girl film and now and and you watch the whole thing.
- 44:43SPEAKER_02: Well, I saw it because my wife, probably.
- 44:44SPEAKER_02: You know, it was something else.
- 44:46SPEAKER_02: You seen it, and I was like, is that a good show?
- 44:48SPEAKER_02: And you was like, nah, man, it's not a good show.
- 44:50SPEAKER_02: Oh my goodness.
- 44:51SPEAKER_02: You guys gotta have an open mind.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 44:54SPEAKER_02: You was like, We love the ladies on the tech hustle.
- 44:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, of course we do.
- 44:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we appreciate the ladies, but just say it was your girl, not you.
- 45:01SPEAKER_02: I mean, you just make sure you coast that.
- 45:04SPEAKER_02: Because you was like, it was a it was a girl flick, yeah.
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: I was like, girl flick, and Raymond said it was good shit.
- 45:09SPEAKER_02: It was weird for me.
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: I was like, what?
- 45:11SPEAKER_02: It was like something I would watch.
- 45:13SPEAKER_03: He was like, nah, I don't even know.
- 45:14SPEAKER_03: But but I I really feel like this is like the dating time.
- 45:16SPEAKER_03: So he was definitely more uh finding quality time with his new new uh found uh that's what I thought it was.
- 45:24SPEAKER_02: Let me see if I can find the show here real quick.
- 45:26SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's hilarious.
- 45:27SPEAKER_03: But but I will say, Raymond, um, big shout outs to Raymond's Nuggets.
- 45:31SPEAKER_03: Uh that that portion segment itself um has really become like a staple here at this show, the uh the Tech Hustle.
- 45:38SPEAKER_03: Um, and I want to encourage you to keep doing you, my guy.
- 45:41SPEAKER_03: Uh we really do enjoy uh your creativity and uh the utilities that you come up with, um, and the time and and effort that you put in to find really quality movies and shows um and let us know what's forthcoming.
- 45:53SPEAKER_01: So yeah, you know, we're always trying to evolve here.
- 45:56SPEAKER_01: I wanted to get you guys' opinion too on something I did slightly different.
- 45:58SPEAKER_01: Oh evolving with the the nuggets is what do you guys think of me doing the uh stories that I bring up and then we have conversations.
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, I actually think about that.
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think those are fire.
- 46:11SPEAKER_03: I think you had one about uh you remember getting soda or saying you're getting water and then go get soda from the vending machine type stuff.
- 46:17SPEAKER_03: Yes, where you gotta scan a barcode.
- 46:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, or you gotta scan a barcode.
- 46:20SPEAKER_03: So I I think uh that segment has evolved into a space where you can be as creative as you want.
- 46:26SPEAKER_03: Um, the audience is following along.
- 46:27SPEAKER_03: We're obviously here.
- 46:29SPEAKER_03: De Hustle has to fight his way through it.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I could trigger you guys on some of the stories that I come up with.
- 46:34SPEAKER_01: I bring to the table, or either it's my opinion.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: You guys don't like my opinion.
- 46:39SPEAKER_01: No, no, it's not that we don't like it, we just have feedback.
- 46:41SPEAKER_03: I don't like it.
- 46:43SPEAKER_02: You guys can go ahead and turn the way that's right.
- 46:45SPEAKER_03: Come on, man.
- 46:47SPEAKER_03: You're family, bro.
- 46:48SPEAKER_03: You're my cousin, so I I gotta I gotta listen to it.
- 46:51SPEAKER_03: That's the only reason why.
- 46:53SPEAKER_03: But I'll be straight up with you though, um, and let you know.
- 46:56SPEAKER_03: But no, seriously, man.
- 46:57SPEAKER_03: Keep up the great work.
- 46:58SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 46:58SPEAKER_03: Um, and as always, I appreciate your contributions to the Tech Hustle human.
- 47:02SPEAKER_02: It was that movie that from The Punisher, the guy uh that does the Punisher with two girls.
- 47:07SPEAKER_02: Oh the one on Netflix?
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's the black girl.
- 47:10SPEAKER_03: You thought that was a chick flick?
- 47:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I it was kind of a chick flick, bro.
- 47:14SPEAKER_01: Come on.
- 47:14SPEAKER_01: It was a mystery not the name, but it's not a chick flick, guys.
- 47:18SPEAKER_01: I know what you're talking about.
- 47:19SPEAKER_01: The miniseries, the six episodes.
- 47:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 47:21SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 47:22SPEAKER_03: I know which one you're talking about.
- 47:23SPEAKER_01: John Brethel and the um, yes.
- 47:25SPEAKER_03: That light-skinned girl, right?
- 47:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 47:27SPEAKER_03: She's pretty though.
- 47:27SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: Ow.
- 47:29SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 47:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's okay.
- 47:32SPEAKER_01: That's interesting.
- 47:35SPEAKER_02: It was a good show, though, wasn't it?
- 47:37SPEAKER_02: It was all right.
- 47:39SPEAKER_02: We gotta get it for the audience while you guys continue there.
- 47:43SPEAKER_02: That's funny.
- 47:44SPEAKER_03: All right, so uh neck next up we have uh some Bobby D tech insights here.
- 47:49SPEAKER_03: Um, we did have some questions queued up here.
- 47:52SPEAKER_03: Raymond, you you got the stock open?
- 47:54SPEAKER_03: I do.
- 47:54SPEAKER_03: I don't see your name highlighted here.
- 47:56SPEAKER_03: You see this right here that I just highlighted?
- 47:58SPEAKER_03: No, yes, no, maybe so?
- 48:00SPEAKER_03: No, I do not.
- 48:00SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 48:01SPEAKER_03: So uh in terms of Bobby D tech insights.
- 48:04SPEAKER_04: His and hers.
- 48:05SPEAKER_03: His and hers.
- 48:06SPEAKER_03: His and hers.
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: Oh, his and hers, yes, yes, yes.
- 48:09SPEAKER_03: Horrible.
- 48:10SPEAKER_03: Did you end up watching it?
- 48:12SPEAKER_03: No, you didn't watch it at all.
- 48:14SPEAKER_02: No, wow, because I asked, I asked Bobby how it was, and he was like, yeah, I was like, I ain't got that.
- 48:20SPEAKER_02: So you had to say to me, I ain't gonna watch this crap.
- 48:22SPEAKER_02: Miniseries, you'll crank through it, it's six episodes.
- 48:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, it can keep there.
- 48:27SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna watch that.
- 48:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no doubt.
- 48:30SPEAKER_03: Um, so one of the third-second segments that we have um on the Tech Hustle podcast is Bobby D Insights.
- 48:37SPEAKER_03: Um, and it's really where I'm really turning up the techie part.
- 48:41SPEAKER_03: Um, there was some feedback that we got at the beginning of the year that everybody felt I was more luxury about technology and the things that we were talking about.
- 48:49SPEAKER_03: So I was like, all right, let me switch up the roster a little bit, um, give some space where um obviously both of these guys have some great, great insights and different uh levels of tech.
- 48:59SPEAKER_03: Uh but then when it comes to me, you know, I'm trying to turn the knob up and really impact our community directly.
- 49:04SPEAKER_03: Um, but definitely want to see if there was any um memorable moments from you all or questions you had lined up around Bobby D tech insights.
- 49:14SPEAKER_03: You want me to go first?
- 49:16SPEAKER_02: All right, let me see what I got here for you.
- 49:20SPEAKER_02: All right, what did um people skip that they should go back and hear?
- 49:24SPEAKER_03: What did people skip that they should go back and hear?
- 49:27SPEAKER_03: Um anything that I talked about with AI in terms of like the forthcoming of agentic AI.
- 49:34SPEAKER_03: Um, and what I mean by that right now is a lot of that um conversation and the tech hustle during that segment was like a lot of theory.
- 49:43SPEAKER_03: It's like, hey, this is what's gonna happen, this is potentially where it's gonna go, this is what this company's deciding to do.
- 49:49SPEAKER_03: And now that we're here, just like D Hustle's been predicting a lot of stuff, I've definitely been watching this game and seeing the pathway, and a lot of those things that we mentioned on the show have come to fruition.
- 50:00SPEAKER_03: So I would encourage you all to roll those tapes back, especially when I'm talking about anything about AI, double tap in that because we are at a point where if y'all don't catch it, y'all gonna get left behind.
- 50:11SPEAKER_03: And we've been dropping gems since day one.
- 50:14SPEAKER_03: And obviously, you can see we're at episode 100, so we got a lot of resources out there.
- 50:18SPEAKER_03: Um, so I would say double back and definitely listen to the stuff that we're teaching about AI for sure.
- 50:25SPEAKER_03: How about you, Raymond?
- 50:26SPEAKER_03: Anything on on the top of mind for you?
- 50:28SPEAKER_01: Uh definitely, yeah.
- 50:30SPEAKER_01: I would say uh using AI as a tool.
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: I remember you would always emphasize and push it and stuff, and I was kind of like laxadays ago.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: I wasn't like, eh, whatever, but now I've been full-blown using it like a tool.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: I use it every day at work for troubleshooting.
- 50:45SPEAKER_01: I even like uh try to push my kids to use it.
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: Like um, I had my son, he was doing bad in school, and then I I was like, hey, let's bring up AI and let's compare your grades from last quarter to the last quarter.
- 50:56SPEAKER_01: And he plugged it in and then it did an analysis and said that he actually did better.
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: So, but yeah, he got off a punishment for that.
- 51:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he got off a punishment for that.
- 51:05SPEAKER_01: So using AI to get off a punishment.
- 51:07SPEAKER_01: Good job, Justin.
- 51:08SPEAKER_01: Good job.
- 51:08SPEAKER_01: But yeah, you know, shout out to Justin.
- 51:10SPEAKER_01: I want to actually, you know, give him another shout out here.
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: He's actually turned it around so much that um, yeah, he uh got a phone, and then also he just told me yesterday or today that he might actually be a um what do you call those people that helped the teacher?
- 51:25SPEAKER_03: Uh teacher assistant?
- 51:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 51:27SPEAKER_01: Oh man, give Justin a big round of applause.
- 51:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so he actually might be a teacher's assistant.
- 51:31SPEAKER_01: Teacher aid, teacher assistant.
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: Teacher's aid.
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: So yeah, shout out to Justin.
- 51:35SPEAKER_01: He's making me proud, he's doing good.
- 51:37SPEAKER_01: How many apples have you been buying?
- 51:41SPEAKER_03: What do you mean how many apples?
- 51:43SPEAKER_03: Well, to give that teacher an apple?
- 51:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, usually to give teacher an apple.
- 51:47SPEAKER_03: He's trying to teach him a little bit of hustle, right?
- 51:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's funny.
- 51:51SPEAKER_01: But yeah, um, yeah, just using it more.
- 51:53SPEAKER_01: I use it every day now.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: Shout outs to you, bro.
- 51:55SPEAKER_01: Shoutouts.
- 51:56SPEAKER_03: Another shout out I want to say is Angie's birthday just happened the other day.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: Angie's birthday was on Thursday, actually Friday.
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we celebrated on Thursday.
- 52:03SPEAKER_01: We might have to.
- 52:04SPEAKER_01: Let the audience know who Angie is.
- 52:06SPEAKER_01: Angie's my daughter.
- 52:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: Just turned 12.
- 52:08SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 52:09SPEAKER_01: Went out to say those on Thursday.
- 52:11SPEAKER_01: Had a good time.
- 52:12SPEAKER_01: Um yeah.
- 52:13SPEAKER_01: Happy birthday, happy birthday.
- 52:14SPEAKER_01: Thank you very much.
- 52:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no doubt, no doubt.
- 52:17SPEAKER_03: Anything else on the insight side of the house?
- 52:20SPEAKER_03: No.
- 52:20SPEAKER_03: Um, not for me.
- 52:21SPEAKER_03: What about the AI uh surveillance camera?
- 52:24SPEAKER_03: Ooh.
- 52:25SPEAKER_03: Actually, low-key.
- 52:26SPEAKER_03: I actually seen, so if you're not familiar, there was an episode that I was talking about how uh in this country everything is being recorded.
- 52:34SPEAKER_03: So if y'all trying to move in these streets, I mean driving, not just from the doors ring, ring um doors uh camera to now every car driving on a road most likely is getting captured by photos at least 20, uh, 10 to 20 times every time you're on the road.
- 52:50SPEAKER_03: Uh that same company now has partnered with uh the Department of Uh DOD and or uh no no Department of Transportation uh to use that data even more, which is basically what we were predicting about what's gonna happen when they have access to these data, is they're using it more for criminal investigation.
- 53:08SPEAKER_03: Uh so much so that people will start to get more tickets that uh that you didn't expect for different traffic violation, not just for speeding.
- 53:16SPEAKER_03: But then if you just think about where we're at in this country and something that we say other countries like China and them are watching their citizens is we are right there, we're right at the cuffs.
- 53:27SPEAKER_03: And now with AI enabled, um, AI is actually has proven to not be as reliable as much as people are investing in it.
- 53:35SPEAKER_03: So uh be careful in these streets.
- 53:37SPEAKER_03: If if you are trying to do something, let me just let you know that they're gonna see you and you're gonna have to do extra to not be seen.
- 53:44SPEAKER_03: Um, but definitely um AI is being used for all of that, so um be careful out here for sure.
- 53:51SPEAKER_02: You know, I know AI doesn't make uh the exact comparison at all.
- 53:56SPEAKER_02: Because I put a picture, several pictures in AI and Chat GBT to see if they could emulate me.
- 54:02SPEAKER_02: And they can't, and they're never not the original, not the original, they can't.
- 54:07SPEAKER_02: They always got something messed up on my eye or or my cheek or it's a weird resemblance.
- 54:15SPEAKER_02: It doesn't look like me at all.
- 54:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 54:17SPEAKER_03: At all.
- 54:17SPEAKER_03: Actually, on on our Instagram, I think it's on our Instagram, we've had a banner that we put there and it's AI generated, so we can do like three different pictures.
- 54:25SPEAKER_03: And and then I remember I posted it.
- 54:27SPEAKER_03: Do you send me a message right away?
- 54:28SPEAKER_03: You know that ain't me, right?
- 54:32SPEAKER_03: And I was like, all right, just zoom it out and watch.
- 54:34SPEAKER_03: I was like, okay, it almost looks like it ain't me.
- 54:38SPEAKER_02: I appreciate it, though.
- 54:40SPEAKER_03: But I know what you're trying to do, but it ain't me.
- 54:43SPEAKER_03: No doubt, no doubt.
- 54:45SPEAKER_03: All right, fellas.
- 54:46SPEAKER_03: So the the next section that we have is let me see if I can get my guy Q up the the sports section here.
- 54:51SPEAKER_03: So you mean sports done?
- 54:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, let's go.
- 54:53SPEAKER_03: There we go.
- 55:07SPEAKER_03: So if you didn't know, you see how my guy be killing it?
- 55:10SPEAKER_03: If you didn't know, um the sports section usually starts off with an anthem like that.
- 55:16SPEAKER_03: Um, and I would say this is one of our biggest hitters, also, um, especially with the debates that you all have had.
- 55:22SPEAKER_03: Um, so the question I have is what sports debate uh got too personal?
- 55:28SPEAKER_03: Um, that's easy.
- 55:30SPEAKER_03: I'll let you kick it off.
- 55:31SPEAKER_03: Go ahead.
- 55:31SPEAKER_03: What do you think?
- 55:31SPEAKER_02: That's MJ versus Jordan.
- 55:33SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's how I'm gonna put it there.
- 55:36SPEAKER_02: MJ versus Jordan.
- 55:38SPEAKER_02: You hear what I said?
- 55:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you say You see, I didn't say LeBron and that's the MJ versus Jordan.
- 55:43SPEAKER_02: It's the real deal there.
- 55:46SPEAKER_02: Nah, it's the Jordan versus uh the LeBum.
- 55:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 55:49SPEAKER_02: So debate.
- 55:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 55:51SPEAKER_03: I think that debate itself has um it's actually one of our most popular videos on our show.
- 55:56SPEAKER_03: Um we actually dedicated a whole episode to debate stat for stat around from Michael Jordan to LeBron James.
- 56:04SPEAKER_03: Uh after I watched that show, I I was actually kind of uh taken back by um number one, D Hustle's preparation, uh, but also Raymond's a little bit laid backness.
- 56:15SPEAKER_03: He was really laid back during that episode.
- 56:17SPEAKER_03: Uh you said you sound like you wanted the smoke, but I don't know if you really wanted the smoke.
- 56:24SPEAKER_02: And then you know how I knew he didn't want no smoke because he wasn't prepared.
- 56:29SPEAKER_02: He didn't have nothing on.
- 56:31SPEAKER_02: He did have the Laker fit, though.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: I mean it's all I have to say.
- 56:38SPEAKER_03: Oh man, but that that episode, uh, if you haven't seen it, just look in our archive, MJ versus LeBron debate, um, was by far one of our most popular um um conversation, but also the popular debate.
- 56:51SPEAKER_03: Um, another one that also came up uh was uh another name that usually comes along with LeBron is Brawny.
- 56:57SPEAKER_03: Like um I think uh we've spent a lot of cycles uh talking about that, especially when Stephen A uh threw something at uh LeBron and LeBron try to you know manhandle him a little bit.
- 57:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 57:09SPEAKER_03: And then uh we we had some questions if he would do that same thing to somebody else, but um no, he didn't.
- 57:14SPEAKER_02: He didn't because somebody else talked trash about him too, and he stepped up to the plate.
- 57:19SPEAKER_02: Who wants to talk trash?
- 57:20SPEAKER_02: Let me help you out.
- 57:20SPEAKER_02: Kevin Gates, shout out to Kevin Gates out there with his shirt off, front court side, chilling like this, waiting for the smoke.
- 57:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and the bum hat was nowhere to be found.
- 57:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 57:33SPEAKER_02: Didn't even give eye contact, yeah, yeah.
- 57:36SPEAKER_02: But you know, it is what it is.
- 57:39SPEAKER_01: I forgot about that.
- 57:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, of course, of course.
- 57:42SPEAKER_02: Of course, she's gonna forget about it.
- 57:44SPEAKER_03: Oh man, that that was a good one.
- 57:46SPEAKER_03: Um, and then um another one that I I had a question here is uh what take deserves a public apology in terms of like uh what something that we we may have mentioned, look forward to um that that we definitely need an apology for.
- 58:02SPEAKER_03: Um I I would say uh I I would one note that I have here is uh the Mets haven't really been doing well this season here.
- 58:11SPEAKER_03: So uh definitely mentioning them requires a little bit of actually uh the Mets been on the wind street about now.
- 58:19SPEAKER_00: I'm throwing stuff on the window.
- 58:21SPEAKER_02: I don't want to get my hopes up like the cowboys and stuff like that.
- 58:24SPEAKER_02: So I'm just gonna say it it it's we might see something.
- 58:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we might see some light.
- 58:30SPEAKER_02: I can see the light.
- 58:33SPEAKER_02: Okay, but still, it's still far.
- 58:36SPEAKER_03: It's still in the distance, it's still in the distance, and and then I have one for Raymond is uh uh defending Tua, which which early in the show you had already threw a little bit of dirt on him.
- 58:45SPEAKER_03: But I think last year, uh a few episodes, that especially during the sports center, you had something to say.
- 58:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know what I was on shrooms at or what, but yeah, that was a mistake.
- 58:57SPEAKER_01: I was fooled.
- 58:57SPEAKER_01: A bunch of Dolphins fans were fooled, and I can't believe I did defend him.
- 59:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 59:02SPEAKER_01: That one year we were fooled.
- 59:04SPEAKER_01: But yeah, I want to make a public apology to all sports fans, Tech Hustle audience that watched that.
- 59:09SPEAKER_03: Oh wow, that that's that's you see that that's a good guy right now.
- 59:13SPEAKER_03: Wow, you can't say that to Jordan, but he can say that to fucking Tua.
- 59:16SPEAKER_03: Tua, bro.
- 59:17SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
- 59:18SPEAKER_03: He he apologized for Tua.
- 59:20SPEAKER_03: And then there was another big blooper that I remember was freaking hilarious.
- 59:24SPEAKER_03: Um, I remember D Hustle was reporting about um an ACL um uh injury, and then uh Raymond came up at the end, like, hold on, hold on, we can't stop the show yet.
- 59:34SPEAKER_03: Did we talk about this situation?
- 59:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 59:37SPEAKER_03: I completely did not hear that at all.
- 59:39SPEAKER_01: He was dead, but wasn't there, he was not there.
- 59:41SPEAKER_01: I was extending where he was at.
- 59:44SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 59:44SPEAKER_01: I completely missed that.
- 59:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you did.
- 59:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you did.
- 59:47SPEAKER_01: That was uh but that was a good funny one.
- 59:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that was pretty funny.
- 59:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 59:51SPEAKER_03: And and then I would say the the biggest highlight that we would have, um, especially for this year, and I I think it's definitely something to note for the show, is is the Knicks pulling that off.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_03: Shout out to the Knicks.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_02: Shout out to the champs.
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_02: Listen, 52, 53 years in the making, baby.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_02: Your boy here.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_02: I have predicted it in a long, long, long, long time.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_03: I mean, everybody predicted it.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_03: You just had to wait.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_03: You just had to wait.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_02: It's so as far as the Knicks fan, ladies and gentlemen, let me let you know how I've been a Knicks fan for a long, long, long time.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_02: And there's something that I wasn't very proud of, and there's sometime parts that I am proud of.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_02: Every time we have gone to the playoffs, I always said first round knockoff.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_02: Then we went to the second round knockoff, then we went to the third round knockoff.
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_02: And this time, I said, if we do not win the championship, we will get Giannis the following year.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_02: And unfortunately, we won the championship, and it is what it is.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_02: Rest is history.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_02: Uh, I was there for the parade.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_02: I felt good.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_02: None but love for my New York fans out there.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_02: Uh, great, great experience.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_02: Uh, highly recommend whenever your team ever wins, if you guys have a team.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_02: Well, look at it, he's looking our way.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_02: Um he's already done it, bro.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but you guys never went to the parade.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_02: No, I didn't.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_02: Okay, so let's get over to this.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_03: True friends.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_03: Oh, true friends.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_03: I I'll give you credit for that because as soon as that happened, um, D low key was like, I'm going.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_03: I was like, how are you going?
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_03: And I was like, All right, then let's see if it happens.
- 1:01:21SPEAKER_03: And no, he booked this flight.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_03: He was out there and you waited and didn't did your thing.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_03: You hung out with Sadat most of the time.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, actually, I went and had Sadat come pick uh my guy.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_02: Actually, Jessica picked me up.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_02: Uh big shout out to the fam for sure.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_02: Oh, shout out to them over there in New York and stuff like that.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_02: And uh just and then Sadat was the only one who was able to.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_02: He's the only little one.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_02: He was like, I got you.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_02: We had a great, great time.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_02: That's what's up.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_02: Great time.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_03: Um, but uh, close this out with uh with the what's the music that we usually rock for a sports center?
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_03: Look at my guy.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_03: Live production.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_03: He did all of that.
