- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on your uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody,
- 0:07Speaker 1: you all listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 0:09Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. I
- 0:13Speaker 1: thank God for it every day. I try to remember
- 0:16Speaker 1: that too, you know. I try to remember to be grateful.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I think gratitude is one of the things that helps
- 0:23Speaker 1: keep me grounded. You can go as far as you
- 0:26Speaker 1: want in life. If you don't mind who gets the credit. Well,
- 0:29Speaker 1: that applies to God too, don't it. I mean, you know, really,
- 0:33Speaker 1: if you don't mind who gets the credit. I'm surrounded
- 0:37Speaker 1: by very competent people. I'm surrounded by a lot of
- 0:41Speaker 1: people who work hard on their jobs, on their career,
- 0:46Speaker 1: who are dedicated employees and also just dedicated to their
- 0:51Speaker 1: families and you know, dedicated to their own set of aspirations.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I don't expect anybody to work for me forever. I
- 1:00Speaker 1: always look at my job opportunities as stepping stones because
- 1:04Speaker 1: I want everyone around me really to aspire to be more.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I mean, that's really the way I am. I'm not
- 1:11Speaker 1: any other way. I'm not trying to hold you to
- 1:14Speaker 1: this position, you know, tell you there's no room for
- 1:17Speaker 1: growth any of that. But even though I'm surrounded by
- 1:22Speaker 1: these people, I'm grateful that God placed them in my path,
- 1:29Speaker 1: in my life, But in my mind, in my spirit,
- 1:36Speaker 1: in everything in me, the credit still belongs to God.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry, the credit still belongs to God. See if
- 1:48Speaker 1: you would, just for a moment, stop thinking about yourself,
- 1:54Speaker 1: just for a moment. I know that's hard, but just
- 1:56Speaker 1: for a moment, stop thinking about yourself. Realize that maybe
- 2:01Speaker 1: you are who you are because God is who he is.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Maybe that's the case. Have you ever considered that that's
- 2:09Speaker 1: the strongest possibility I can give to you? You know,
- 2:13Speaker 1: how do you think you the one that made it through?
- 2:18Speaker 1: How you think you the one after all of the
- 2:21Speaker 1: ignorant decisions we have made? And oh my goodness, let's
- 2:25Speaker 1: all be honest. Ain't we made some crazy decisions I'm
- 2:29Speaker 1: talking about man, I have made decisions so adverse to
- 2:33Speaker 1: my destiny and career, my promises. I've made some decisions man,
- 2:40Speaker 1: knowingly you hear me, knowingly do something wrong, And in
- 2:45Speaker 1: spite of all that, I'm still here standing. Okay, come
- 2:49Speaker 1: on now, really, really, all the dirt you'd bene done,
- 2:54Speaker 1: everybody done dirt, all the mistakes you've made you in
- 2:59Speaker 1: a position you in today because of what? Because you
- 3:03Speaker 1: all that? Because you work harder than anybody else. Look,
- 3:08Speaker 1: I work hard, I'll be I'll tell you in a minute.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I work hard. But I don't think I'm the hardest
- 3:13Speaker 1: working person out there. I'm pretty sure somebody done work
- 3:17Speaker 1: way harder than I have. So okay, so you work hard? Okay, cool?
- 3:21Speaker 1: I got all that. But man, what about his grace
- 3:27Speaker 1: and his mercy? What about his favor? How many times, man,
- 3:33Speaker 1: you done relied on that even when you ain't know
- 3:36Speaker 1: you was relying on it? How many times? Man, God
- 3:39Speaker 1: just shown you mercy? You ain't even deserve it? Do
- 3:42Speaker 1: you know how many things I've done wrong? I just
- 3:45Speaker 1: ain't get caught at it? You know. Let me see
- 3:49Speaker 1: how simple I can be here. You speed, you Jaywall.
- 3:55Speaker 1: You lie to police when you get pulled over that
- 3:58Speaker 1: you wasn't speed, and you go according to argue you
- 4:01Speaker 1: wasn't speeding when you was. You make U turns. I'm
- 4:06Speaker 1: just doing traffic violations. Now let's get off traffic for
- 4:11Speaker 1: a second. Let's get on human violations. You talk about
- 4:15Speaker 1: people when you're not supposed to. You indulge yourself in
- 4:20Speaker 1: gossip even when you don't really have all the facts.
- 4:24Speaker 1: You pass judgment, You lust for people that don't belong
- 4:30Speaker 1: to you. You say things to people that you're not
- 4:34Speaker 1: supposed to say. So look all of us, we all,
- 4:42Speaker 1: we're all guilty. Now. See I'm not saying you do
- 4:45Speaker 1: all of that, but I'm saying I'm pretty sure I
- 4:48Speaker 1: hit you somewhere in there, just somewhere in there. You
- 4:50Speaker 1: donet lied before, you know you lied recently. I mean,
- 4:55Speaker 1: come on, And I'm just saying so with all that
- 4:57Speaker 1: in mind. See, I'm just looking at the little thing
- 5:00Speaker 1: we do that we don't get busted for. Not to
- 5:02Speaker 1: mention the chips you stole when you was a kid
- 5:04Speaker 1: and nobody caught you. Well that elevated didn't, And some
- 5:08Speaker 1: of y'all just didn't stop stealing, and next thing you know,
- 5:11Speaker 1: you was in a car. Now you're sitting somewhere you
- 5:13Speaker 1: don't want to be sitting because of a decision you made.
- 5:16Speaker 1: But through his grace and mercy, couldn't it have been worse? Though?
- 5:19Speaker 1: Without his grace and mercy, could not it have been worse?
- 5:24Speaker 1: I know two dudes that got caught in the garage
- 5:26Speaker 1: one time trying to break in somebody's house, and the
- 5:28Speaker 1: person in the house they broke into just happened to
- 5:31Speaker 1: have a gun and held them in the garage, caught
- 5:35Speaker 1: them and held them to the garage to the police car.
- 5:38Speaker 1: That's Grace and Mercy right there, because they had all
- 5:41Speaker 1: full right to shoot these two people, but they didn't.
- 5:44Speaker 1: They're Grace and Mercy. See, all of us have benefited
- 5:48Speaker 1: from his grace and mercy. All of us have done
- 5:51Speaker 1: or wrong, committed a sin, broken the law, and somehow,
- 5:54Speaker 1: through his grace and mercy, got by, doing drugs, buying drugs,
- 5:58Speaker 1: slanging drugs, doing something, got by, jumped on somebody for
- 6:02Speaker 1: no reason, got by, you know. So see how you
- 6:07Speaker 1: figure with all that that can go on in your life.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And then hold on, let me throw a couple more
- 6:12Speaker 1: at you. You can't wake yourself up in the morning,
- 6:16Speaker 1: mister big shot. You don't have the ability to control
- 6:22Speaker 1: the breaths that you take. Really, mister big shot, really,
- 6:27Speaker 1: let's get real basic with it now. You can't wake
- 6:29Speaker 1: yourself up in the morning. That's favor, that's Grace, that's Mercy,
- 6:38Speaker 1: that's him allowing you to wake up, just hoping we
- 6:43Speaker 1: get it right. You know God spared me through all
- 6:46Speaker 1: the dirt I was doing, just hoping one day? Man,
- 6:49Speaker 1: can you just straighten up a little bit? When I
- 6:52Speaker 1: finally straightened up, and I'm gonna just say it straightened
- 6:55Speaker 1: up a little bit. See, I ain't straightened up all
- 6:57Speaker 1: the way. Say I ain't gonna sit here and tell
- 6:59Speaker 1: you that I just straightened up a little bit. He
- 7:01Speaker 1: started blessing me. So the more blessings I got start going, Man,
- 7:05Speaker 1: maybe I'll try straighten up a little bit more. So
- 7:06Speaker 1: I straightened up a little bit more. I still got
- 7:09Speaker 1: a long way to go, but I'm straighter than I
- 7:11Speaker 1: was now. When people judging me and as they will,
- 7:14Speaker 1: and they do, cause that ain't right, but they do,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and I ain't walking just the way they walk. Then
- 7:19Speaker 1: here come to criticism. I get it all the time.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Stop wanting credit all the time, and give out some
- 7:25Speaker 1: credit where credit is due instead of having somebody patting
- 7:28Speaker 1: you on your back all the time. Why don't you
- 7:30Speaker 1: tell God, tell people it was really was God, man,
- 7:33Speaker 1: that you don't really know how you made it? That
- 7:35Speaker 1: really man, you have no explanation for your success, or
- 7:38Speaker 1: you have no explanation why you still exist in today.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Why don't you tell somebody it was God today. Don't
- 7:44Speaker 1: be ashamed. It's the truth, ain't it. I mean, really, man,
- 7:48Speaker 1: let's give God some credit here. Give God the credit
- 7:51Speaker 1: and the glory and the honor. And like that plaque said,
- 7:54Speaker 1: you can go as far as you want in life
- 7:56Speaker 1: if you don't mind who gets the credit. All right, listening,
- 7:59Speaker 1: could Steve Harvey Morning Show
