- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables Baddie's book Club.
- 0:03Speaker 2: In my head, whenever she mentioned someone's handsome, I'm like,
- 0:06Speaker 2: they got a fuck.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Yes, that's what I think, exactly what I think.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Even that is exactly what every time she says something
- 0:14Speaker 3: about strong arms, like people don't like you can look
- 0:18Speaker 3: at someone and say he's strong as fuck and actually
- 0:20Speaker 3: not want to fuck him, but we're ruined from the Akatar.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Welcome to Relatables Baddies book Club, where we will embark
- 0:30Speaker 3: on a journey reading some of the finest pieces of
- 0:32Speaker 3: literature you have ever laid eyes or he is, if.
- 0:35Speaker 1: That's your preferred way to consume a book on.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Baddies. The housemade chapters one to ten.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Short, very short. I read five.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I read all ten chapters yesterday, short and sweet, and
- 0:51Speaker 3: I read I've read five chapters as soon as I
- 0:52Speaker 3: woke up, and then I was like, okay, I'll just
- 0:54Speaker 3: read the ten chapters before I go to bed.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And then I was doing stuff. Got to about.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Nine and I was like, oh wait, I read those
- 1:00Speaker 3: chapters yet, and I was kind of like fuck wit
- 1:02Speaker 3: started quickly reading.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Twenty minutes later, I was thinking, let's go.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it's definitely different to what we're used to. Yeah,
- 1:11Speaker 2: very very different. I'm liking it. It's an easy read.
- 1:15Speaker 2: That's the word easy.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I am going to say jarring, particularly only from one
- 1:22Speaker 3: character though.
- 1:23Speaker 2: That is jarring. Yeah, yeah, how it's all from like
- 1:26Speaker 2: her pov.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Just but what jars me is just.
- 1:33Speaker 3: The way that one of the characters, like that Nina is.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I listen to the audio two and is it drum
- 1:41Speaker 3: tized just like audiobook.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Audiobook and she voices every character I think, but her
- 1:47Speaker 2: long Island accent is annoying. How could I try and do?
- 1:52Speaker 2: It's like I was locked in my room. I locked
- 1:57Speaker 2: in my room.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Oh oh my god.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I heard it for me a little bit, but I
- 2:02Speaker 2: was like, oh, it's authentic.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Yeah, so we've got.
- 2:06Speaker 3: The book is in a very short sense, clearly about Millie,
- 2:12Speaker 3: who is an ex con who has been out of jail.
- 2:16Speaker 3: She was there for ten years, so we don't know
- 2:18Speaker 3: why she went yet.
- 2:19Speaker 2: She was there since he was seventeen seventeen.
- 2:21Speaker 3: She's twenty seven now, and she was living in her car.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Had an interview at this house to be a Livian housemaid,
- 2:30Speaker 3: and she got it right. And so she's living at
- 2:35Speaker 3: this house family of three Nina Cecilia the daughter, Andrew
- 2:38Speaker 3: the father. Okay, so the very beginning of the first
- 2:44Speaker 3: page talks about she's sitting on a lounge and there's
- 2:47Speaker 3: a police officer talking to her.
- 2:49Speaker 2: They did the classic thing where it's like they give
- 2:51Speaker 2: you a teaser, the juicy bit, and then it goes to.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Three months earlier.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like, get creative. I was like, it is
- 3:00Speaker 3: what it is, Yeah, exactly. I guess you're right. So
- 3:05Speaker 3: I want to give a quick recap of the ten chapters,
- 3:09Speaker 3: not in as much depth as we've been doing. So
- 3:12Speaker 3: quick recap we can go together because I always do
- 3:15Speaker 3: the recax. But first I do want to say, firstly,
- 3:20Speaker 3: different genre. I'm kind of liking it because this is
- 3:23Speaker 3: actually somewhat realistic.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't think.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Of it like that in my head. Whenever she mentioned
- 3:29Speaker 2: someone's handsome, I'm like, they got a fuck. Yes, that's
- 3:33Speaker 2: what I think.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Exactly what I think.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Even that is exactly what every time she says something
- 3:38Speaker 3: about strong arms, like people don't like you can look
- 3:42Speaker 3: at someone and say he's strong as fuck and actually
- 3:44Speaker 3: not want to fuck him.
- 3:46Speaker 1: But we're ruined from the Akatar.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Man Jake. We're messaging during the week. I said, we're
- 3:53Speaker 2: talking about the book, what we're going to do for this,
- 3:55Speaker 2: And I was like, just out of curiosity, are there
- 3:57Speaker 2: any sexy scenes in it?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:58Speaker 2: And he's auto correct changed, isn't it is?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yes? And I was like yes, and then I had
- 4:04Speaker 1: to break his bubble and be like, no, sorry, there
- 4:06Speaker 1: actually isn't.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I was thinking ends out of the Garden and she's
- 4:09Speaker 2: going to get it okay.
- 4:11Speaker 3: But we start off she's she's had an interview at
- 4:15Speaker 3: this house.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Nina is the wife.
- 4:18Speaker 3: She's obviously owns the house, beautiful house in Long Island
- 4:20Speaker 3: in New York, and Milly is there.
- 4:24Speaker 1: She's kind of just chatting.
- 4:26Speaker 3: She's never been a maid, and she's also just like,
- 4:29Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure she's made up her resume and shit,
- 4:30Speaker 3: she hasn't told anyone she was in.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Prison and we don't even know at this point. But
- 4:35Speaker 1: interview goes pretty well. She likes Nina.
- 4:38Speaker 3: She goes away and she gets a phone call from
- 4:42Speaker 3: another interview she went and had at this place called
- 4:44Speaker 3: munch Burger. They're like sorry and usually higher REX cons Yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 3: She's like I looked into him, like the higher X
- 4:50Speaker 3: cons and shit. But you know, they go, sorry to
- 4:53Speaker 3: let you know we're a different direction. We wish you
- 4:56Speaker 3: all the best, and she's like yeah, cool. Not even
- 4:58Speaker 3: two seconds later, phone call. She's using a little Bona
- 5:00Speaker 3: phone by the way, when those little ones from Colds
- 5:02Speaker 3: or the top of Market and and it's Nina and.
- 5:06Speaker 1: She's like, girl, you're hired. Losing her mind.
- 5:10Speaker 3: She says thank you so much. She's like, when can
- 5:11Speaker 3: you start? And she's like, I don't want to fucking
- 5:14Speaker 3: admit to Nina. I live in my car. She goes, well,
- 5:16Speaker 3: I can start tomorrow. And Nina's like, what about your
- 5:18Speaker 3: stuff and just like have a quick pack up.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I was like, fuck they okay.
- 5:23Speaker 2: So immediately thought Nina was a red flag though yeah bro,
- 5:27Speaker 2: oh my god, Like the way she was acting, I
- 5:29Speaker 2: was like, oh, this like you're saying it was realistic
- 5:33Speaker 2: before really highlighted the decisions people make when they need
- 5:40Speaker 2: they need spot. Yeah, they don't have many decisions there,
- 5:43Speaker 2: so they have to make it work.
- 5:45Speaker 3: True.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Yeah, Like she actually doesn't doesn't have a choice.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, Like this is all she's just got and
- 5:49Speaker 3: she mentions that a lot like so during the interview
- 5:51Speaker 3: with Nina. She goes, Nina gives her a tour of
- 5:55Speaker 3: the house. Beautiful downstairs. They go upstairs, beautiful master bedroom,
- 5:59Speaker 3: beautiful bedroom for the kid. They've got a massive spare
- 6:02Speaker 3: room in a home theater, like massive TV and shit
- 6:06Speaker 3: in there. And then she goes, and this is where
- 6:08Speaker 3: you'll be staying if you get the job. They go
- 6:12Speaker 3: up into the attic. She goes, we have a fully
- 6:14Speaker 3: furnished attic. She goes up there and takes her into
- 6:17Speaker 3: this fucking tiny little what used to be like a
- 6:21Speaker 3: broom closet, and I'm thinking, like Harry Potter starts out
- 6:24Speaker 3: and she's in there, and Nina's like.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, and she goes, yeah, I know,
- 6:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry. It's small.
- 6:30Speaker 3: And they have a spare bedroom in the house, and
- 6:31Speaker 3: they have a full spare room in their house, and
- 6:33Speaker 3: Nina's and Millie keeps saying to herself, of course, you know,
- 6:35Speaker 3: they probably don't want to give me the live in help,
- 6:38Speaker 3: like the spare room.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Grubby old me, grubby old me.
- 6:41Speaker 3: And and so she goes in and she says, as
- 6:46Speaker 3: soon as she walks in that room, she just gets
- 6:48Speaker 3: her just disturbing feeling about it. And I was like,
- 6:52Speaker 3: I need to not pick this story apart, right, But
- 6:56Speaker 3: again I was gonna say, obviously you would just leave
- 6:59Speaker 3: and not go back, but.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Of but again, she's desperate. She sleeps in the back
- 7:04Speaker 1: of a niss.
- 7:04Speaker 2: And then she's what felt discussing about it was the
- 7:07Speaker 2: lock to the door was on the outside.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah, So she's like, what's so weird about this?
- 7:12Speaker 3: And she couldn't put a finger on it, and then
- 7:15Speaker 3: that's when she and so then she leaves a week later,
- 7:19Speaker 3: gets denied from munch Burger, gets accepted by Nina. She
- 7:23Speaker 3: goes back and she's got her bags and then he
- 7:24Speaker 3: goes a right, let's go take your bags upstairs. She
- 7:26Speaker 3: first of all walks into the house a week later,
- 7:29Speaker 3: pig sty it was immaculate and it's now fucked up.
- 7:33Speaker 3: She's like, what the fuck happened in here? She goes upstairs,
- 7:37Speaker 3: puts her bags down. She says, I finally realize what
- 7:39Speaker 3: makes this room so disturbing. The lock is on the outside.
- 7:43Speaker 3: And she says to Nina, why is the lock on
- 7:45Speaker 3: the outside?
- 7:47Speaker 1: You speak closet. I don't even notice, Like I didn't
- 7:49Speaker 1: know that you.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Speak closet, red flag, You know we you know it
- 7:53Speaker 3: makes sense to lock a closet and then does it.
- 7:56Speaker 3: She also she notices on the back of the door
- 8:00Speaker 3: marks on the timber, and she's like gaslighting herself, going, oh, no,
- 8:05Speaker 3: you know, I guess you know, timber cracks and timber
- 8:08Speaker 3: timber moves.
- 8:08Speaker 1: And stuff, and she's like, okay, what the fuck.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Anyways, goes downstairs cleans up this shit. So first day
- 8:15Speaker 3: she's cleaning up and I think she's finally getting to
- 8:19Speaker 3: a point where it's like she said, it's fucked up.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Because the point was spit clean.
- 8:23Speaker 3: And then Nina comes downstairs and she's like, Cecilia, the
- 8:28Speaker 3: little fucking kid comes down Before Ninni comes down, She's like,
- 8:31Speaker 3: I'm hungry. She so Millie goes on, Okay, I'll make
- 8:35Speaker 3: you a snack. She makes her something with peanut butter. Bitch,
- 8:38Speaker 3: I'm allergic to peanut butter. You're trying to kill me.
- 8:41Speaker 3: She calls to her mum and she starts crying. She's like,
- 8:43Speaker 3: Millie tried to kill me. And then and then Nina goes,
- 8:46Speaker 3: what the fuck, bitch, Like I told you my daughter
- 8:49Speaker 3: has is deathly allergic a peanut butter. Why would give
- 8:51Speaker 3: it to her, and Millie's like, oh my god, I'm
- 8:52Speaker 3: so sorry. Must have slipped my mind. Obviously she didn't
- 8:55Speaker 3: tell her. She's like I would remember something like that.
- 8:57Speaker 3: And then she's like, why is.
- 8:59Speaker 1: There peanut butter in the house.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:00Speaker 1: She goes to Nina, well, I'm so sorry, Like, I'm
- 9:02Speaker 1: so sorry. Let me get you some.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Different you want me to throw the peanut butter out?
- 9:06Speaker 3: And then Nina goes, this is this has sussed me out.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Nina goes, no, no, no, we might need it.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Yeah, what for bread crumbing?
- 9:13Speaker 1: Are you fucking threatening this kid or some shit?
- 9:15Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:15Speaker 2: I don't know, life threatening a or she's not actually allergic?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Yeah? True, Like Nina seems to be not right in
- 9:22Speaker 3: the head. Bro, she's possessed. This is called is it
- 9:24Speaker 3: called a psychological thriller?
- 9:26Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 1: She's like, fucking we've been taken on a ride.
- 9:29Speaker 2: She she's talking to like the devil a she's doing
- 9:32Speaker 2: something we've been We've been.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Taking on a ride.
- 9:35Speaker 3: So uh.
- 9:36Speaker 1: And then Nina goes, well, you're you gonna make his dinner.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Or what.
- 9:40Speaker 2: She's got like bipola. She's like randomly really really nice
- 9:43Speaker 2: and sweet and like offering all these things, and then.
- 9:44Speaker 3: She's like, you take take us for granted. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 3: She's like, don't don't take my curdness for granted. And
- 9:50Speaker 3: she's like she's such a bit sometimes so weird and
- 9:53Speaker 3: it's absolutely jarring.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Oh it's so daring.
- 9:55Speaker 3: So she says, you're gonna makes dinner. Cool, We meet
- 9:59Speaker 3: the husb and Andrew. He comes home while dinner's being cooked. Oh,
- 10:03Speaker 3: this smells amazing, Like, oh, Millie, you must be Milli.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Nina jealous as fuck. Yeah, straight less of Millie straight
- 10:11Speaker 3: away because Millie young, petite, size six.
- 10:15Speaker 1: We find out in dresses and something.
- 10:17Speaker 3: I think that must be mean small, and you know,
- 10:19Speaker 3: Andrew's like kind of having a laugh at her.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Being you know, nice.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Nina's just like gets this, fucking I'm gonna kill you.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Look at her, right, she looks at Millie. If Andrew's
- 10:28Speaker 3: in the room and Millie's in the room, Nina's looking
- 10:30Speaker 3: at Milli like, get on your fucking And we didn't
- 10:32Speaker 3: mention Andrew's hot.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Andrew's a baddie.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I was picturing Andrew Huberman.
- 10:39Speaker 3: I've seen a trailer, I've seen I've seen a TikTok
- 10:42Speaker 3: with the characters. So I'm picturing who the character.
- 10:44Speaker 4: From the actual movies.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Okay, i'll show you after this, and we'll show the baddies.
- 10:47Speaker 3: So a few more days go by, and then one
- 10:52Speaker 3: morning she wakes up. Nina's in the kitchen, She's throwing
- 10:56Speaker 3: everything out of the fringe, making an absolute mess.
- 10:59Speaker 1: She Millie comes down, She's like, what's good, what's happening?
- 11:02Speaker 1: What's good? What's going on?
- 11:04Speaker 3: And Nina's going where is it? And Milly's like what.
- 11:08Speaker 3: She's like, where are my PTA meeting? Like my Parent
- 11:12Speaker 3: Teacher Association meeting? Notes that I spent hours writing you
- 11:16Speaker 3: threw them out? Where are they?
- 11:18Speaker 1: And Millie's like, I didn't touch them?
- 11:20Speaker 3: Al so why would it be in the free She's like,
- 11:23Speaker 3: first of all, why would they be in the fridge?
- 11:25Speaker 1: And second well I didn't touch them.
- 11:28Speaker 3: And then Millie again she gaslights herself because she needs
- 11:30Speaker 3: this job so bad and she's so desperate. She gaslights herself,
- 11:33Speaker 3: being like, maybe you know, there was a chance, Like
- 11:35Speaker 3: she's in her head in a monologue, She's like, maybe
- 11:37Speaker 3: there was a chance of there was a crumpled up
- 11:40Speaker 3: piece paper during that mess the other day, and I
- 11:42Speaker 3: checked it out so all she does is she just
- 11:44Speaker 3: Andrew comes down.
- 11:46Speaker 1: He's like, Nina, what's going on? She crying?
- 11:48Speaker 3: She goes, she's like a kid bro. She like goes
- 11:51Speaker 3: and hugs Andrew gets like snot all over his fucking worksuit.
- 11:53Speaker 3: She's like, Milly threw out my PTA meeting notes.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Just blame it.
- 11:56Speaker 3: And then and he's like, oh, well, you know you
- 11:58Speaker 3: sayd them on your computer, and she goes, yeah, some
- 12:00Speaker 3: of them, but I have to redo a lot of them.
- 12:01Speaker 3: And so she bugs off and Andrew's like, no, Millie says,
- 12:06Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. I swear I didn't. He goes, no,
- 12:09Speaker 3: I know, I know. She's like, nice, I actually didn't.
- 12:11Speaker 3: And he's like, no, trust me, I know. And I
- 12:14Speaker 3: was like he's there, and he goes. He goes, yeah, Nina, she's.
- 12:17Speaker 2: He's almost too much of a green flag.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Yeah, it's sexy.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's sexy to a point where it's like, are
- 12:23Speaker 3: you manipulating us? So he goes, yeah, Nina is high strung,
- 12:28Speaker 3: you know, but she's but she is. She's a very
- 12:31Speaker 3: good person half and so I'm kind of thinking like okay, okay.
- 12:35Speaker 3: He helps her clean up a bit, and she's kind
- 12:36Speaker 3: of like because he's clearly had to do this for
- 12:38Speaker 3: a long time.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And she notices that she's like.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Andrew fucking he knows his way around that cleaning closet.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Let me tell you, it's clear he's done this a
- 12:46Speaker 3: fair few times. So now Millie's going to go shopping.
- 12:50Speaker 3: And she goes shopping because Nina throws the food on
- 12:53Speaker 3: the ground. She comes back and, oh, we.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Didn't, did we mention Enzo yet?
- 12:58Speaker 4: Now? And then no, we didn't.
- 12:59Speaker 2: We sort of to make you jay at the start
- 13:01Speaker 2: when she couldn't get in sexy gardener doesn't speak English.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Yeah, sexy gardens speak English. And he said something in
- 13:06Speaker 3: Italian to her like pera coola and she translated it,
- 13:09Speaker 3: translated it on her phone and it means danger.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Because she hasn't translated yet.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Yeah, she has by this time because Nina. She translates
- 13:15Speaker 3: it straight away because sorry, I forgot to say it.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Because Nina gave Mellly an iPhone, she goes, if you're
- 13:20Speaker 3: going to be taking my kid places, if I need
- 13:23Speaker 3: you to take my kid places, I want you to.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Have a reliable phone.
- 13:25Speaker 3: So she gives her an iPhone, loads her credit card
- 13:26Speaker 3: onto it, and everything Like, Nina's nice as fuck but
- 13:28Speaker 3: also a bitch.
- 13:30Speaker 1: And so.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Yeah, she looks up what paracolo means in English and
- 13:34Speaker 3: it means danger and Enzo's trying to warn her clearly.
- 13:36Speaker 1: So keep that in mind, guys, listen to the Sexy Guarden.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, a few days later, goes and gets groceries, comes back,
- 13:42Speaker 3: and Enzo notices she's struggling, and so he comes and
- 13:45Speaker 3: holds the groceries for her, goes inside and like puts
- 13:48Speaker 3: them on account for her. And he's like about to
- 13:51Speaker 3: try and say something, and she's trying to say like
- 13:54Speaker 3: grassyas or whatever. I'm pretty sure it's Spanish, and he's like, no, no, gratzy,
- 13:57Speaker 3: like what.
- 13:59Speaker 1: And so he then hears Nina coming and he bugs off.
- 14:03Speaker 3: He's scared of Nina clearly, and so then she's like
- 14:06Speaker 3: what and Nina comes down, She's like.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I heard voices.
- 14:09Speaker 3: You know, really, if you're gonna have guests over, I
- 14:12Speaker 3: expect you to ask us and I expect two days
- 14:14Speaker 3: advanced notice. And I was like and she goes, no, no, no,
- 14:17Speaker 3: it was just Enzo the landscape and she goes, Enzo
- 14:19Speaker 3: was in the house. Do not let that man in
- 14:21Speaker 3: my house again. He's disgusting, and then Millie's like, what
- 14:25Speaker 3: the fuck?
- 14:25Speaker 2: Okay, an a fair.
- 14:28Speaker 1: A all right, we'll get to predictions after this, So.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 14:35Speaker 4: We go. She goes to the PTA meeting.
- 14:37Speaker 1: She goes to the PTA meeting.
- 14:39Speaker 3: One of the first nights that Millie spends in there,
- 14:42Speaker 3: she wakes up at three am to go take a pierce.
- 14:45Speaker 1: She goes to try and unlock.
- 14:47Speaker 3: The door doesn't budge, and she's like, oh my fucking god,
- 14:49Speaker 3: they locked me in, and then she starts saying like
- 14:51Speaker 3: that's why there's scratch marks. Who was the poor soul
- 14:53Speaker 3: that was in here before me. She goes to try
- 14:55Speaker 3: again and it was just stuck. So she's getting in
- 14:57Speaker 3: her own head.
- 14:57Speaker 2: She's scared, and the window doesn't open either.
- 14:59Speaker 1: The window does open, whatevers.
- 15:01Speaker 3: So Nina PTA meeting gorne Sky's Cecilia has come down.
- 15:07Speaker 1: She's up in her room or whatever.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Andrew comes home and she's cooking dinner, nice steaks. Andrew's like,
- 15:12Speaker 3: oh my god, once again, Millie, this smells amazing, and
- 15:15Speaker 3: she's like, stop complimenting me, because I will sit on
- 15:17Speaker 3: your face. So he calls Cecilia down. She puts a
- 15:21Speaker 3: steak in front of her, and Cecilia is like, first
- 15:24Speaker 3: of all, why is there class of water in front
- 15:26Speaker 3: of me? I hate water? I hate Get me an
- 15:30Speaker 3: apple juice. Millie gets her an apple juice. Millie, this grass,
- 15:34Speaker 3: this glass is dirty, Give me a new one.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I fucking hate this kid.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Rich kids, man, rich kids, hate this kid entitled.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Andrew's like, girl, you should try a steak. Cecilia is
- 15:47Speaker 3: like nah, So Andrew goes, all right, I'll make.
- 15:50Speaker 1: You some nuggets. And then Andrew the smooth fucking criminal,
- 15:54Speaker 1: he goes.
- 15:55Speaker 3: To Milly like, here, if you're gonna be, if you're
- 15:58Speaker 3: gonna be living with us, look better to teach you
- 16:00Speaker 3: how to make her nuggets because all this money spents
- 16:02Speaker 3: in our kitchen and all she's going to eat is
- 16:04Speaker 3: something out of a microwave.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Teaches are how to make the.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Nuggets and stuff. And then I don't know, she just
- 16:09Speaker 3: talks about like seeing the chest hairs come out and
- 16:12Speaker 3: just has sexy andrew is and stuff.
- 16:15Speaker 1: And then next day.
- 16:17Speaker 2: We know she's they mentioned. Andrew says do you want
- 16:20Speaker 2: to eat with us? And yeah, and then Millie goes, no,
- 16:22Speaker 2: that would be appropriate. I don't think Nina would like
- 16:25Speaker 2: that if she comes home what she would think.
- 16:27Speaker 4: And then Andrew's like, oh, you're right.
- 16:29Speaker 2: It doesn't really like say, it doesn't really fight.
- 16:30Speaker 4: So he's like, oh, maybe she's toxic. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 16:33Speaker 3: So next day she comes down and Nina is in
- 16:38Speaker 3: the living room with a massive garbage bag on the lounge.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Emillie's just thinking, oh my god, what is your me
- 16:43Speaker 3: to do? You sort the fucking rubbish color coded eight
- 16:45Speaker 3: his e type shit. She goes down and she's like, Millie,
- 16:48Speaker 3: is that you goes, ah, I was going through my
- 16:52Speaker 3: closet and I've got these I'm a few size is
- 16:55Speaker 3: too big for these dresses, you know, I just want
- 16:58Speaker 3: to see if you could, can you please take these
- 16:59Speaker 3: two the donation and she goes, actually, hold on, what
- 17:01Speaker 3: size are you? And she's like, I'm six to eight.
- 17:05Speaker 3: She's like, oh my god, these are all six to eight?
- 17:07Speaker 3: How about you have them?
- 17:08Speaker 1: You don't have any nice clothes. I was like whoa
- 17:11Speaker 1: shots fired.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Backhanded, confident, Yeah, did you have them?
- 17:17Speaker 3: She's right? And then and then Millie goes, oh my god,
- 17:20Speaker 3: like thank you so so much. Please, like, if you
- 17:24Speaker 3: let me know if the second you want them back,
- 17:25Speaker 3: please let me know, like I'll give them right back.
- 17:27Speaker 1: And she goes, oh no, no, trust me.
- 17:28Speaker 3: I don't think I'll be going down to those sizes
- 17:30Speaker 3: anytime soon, especially with the baby.
- 17:32Speaker 1: On the way.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Milly goes, you're pregnant, and then he goes, oh no,
- 17:35Speaker 3: not yet, but Andrew and I do, we do want
- 17:38Speaker 3: to have another one, and we've been trying, but we
- 17:41Speaker 3: have been having been successful so far, but we're gonna
- 17:42Speaker 3: go see a specialist tomorrow or some shit.
- 17:44Speaker 1: And Milly goes, oh, well, congrats.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Didn't it say something like the underneath the chiniggles?
- 17:51Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, she laughs, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:54Speaker 1: She goes, whenever you want these back.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Let me know.
- 17:56Speaker 3: And then and then fucking what's he? Nina laughs and
- 18:00Speaker 3: she's like when she laughed, the fat under her chin
- 18:02Speaker 3: just fucking like jiggled, and so.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I think that was it. Yeah, and then yeah, one
- 18:09Speaker 1: more thing.
- 18:10Speaker 3: She gives her the clothes and she's all happy, go lucky,
- 18:13Speaker 3: and then she goes, really, I just give to do
- 18:16Speaker 3: some clothes.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Don't leave the garbage bag on the fucking floor. That's
- 18:18Speaker 1: bad manners.
- 18:19Speaker 3: And Millie's like, oh, sorry, like what it's actually the
- 18:22Speaker 3: most insanely jarring thing I've experienced.
- 18:24Speaker 1: All Right, so let's go into proper thoughts and feelings.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Now.
- 18:29Speaker 3: I know we did a little bit while we were
- 18:30Speaker 3: talking about that, but look, how are you feeling.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I'm feeling good.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I'm enjoying it. It's definitely one of those only comparison
- 18:40Speaker 2: I've got is when you're watching a scary movie or
- 18:42Speaker 2: TV show and you don't really want to watch, but
- 18:46Speaker 2: you need to know what happens. It's giving that.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm like not wanting to read because of all
- 18:51Speaker 3: the things that are happening, and I know something is
- 18:52Speaker 3: inevitably going to happen.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's like you're an.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Idiot, like, look at all these signs, but no feeling
- 18:59Speaker 2: really good. Also, it's a very different reading reading, very
- 19:03Speaker 2: different writing style to Sarah J.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Mass. Yeah, very very different.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I would say it's more structured maybe.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:11Speaker 3: It's also more of just a I want to say,
- 19:16Speaker 3: is the right word, like a straight line story?
- 19:19Speaker 1: Is that the right word?
- 19:20Speaker 4: It's linear?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Maybe a little more linear. J.
- 19:22Speaker 4: Mass was non millennial.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I don't even know if that's right. Basically, what I'm
- 19:25Speaker 3: trying to say is Sarah J. Mass like it's a
- 19:28Speaker 3: slow burn kinder, like they really were quite slow burns. Yeah,
- 19:33Speaker 3: even though like a lot was happening, but still it's
- 19:34Speaker 3: like very long, a lot of world building.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Sarah J.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Mass actually is like a very good world builder, I've
- 19:41Speaker 3: discovered because in this the whole world is the house.
- 19:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 2: So, and I guess it's already playing on the fact
- 19:49Speaker 2: that you know what a house is like and what
- 19:51Speaker 2: the world's like.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Yeah, because it's in Long Island.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and you can and we get a bit of
- 19:55Speaker 3: a description of the house and stuff, and like I
- 19:57Speaker 3: can picture in my head what I think it looks
- 19:59Speaker 3: like gated innegated community.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I'm kind of glad I haven't seen the cast yet
- 20:03Speaker 2: because I'm completely like opening to my own thoughts.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I want to dive into Nina. I genuinely think Nina
- 20:12Speaker 3: has mental health problems probably and she is, like I
- 20:20Speaker 3: think she has something on Andrew.
- 20:25Speaker 4: I want to keep him like this maybe.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Okay, actually backtrack, So Nina mental health issues right, like
- 20:33Speaker 3: proper Yeah.
- 20:34Speaker 4: And I think it's ones that she's in denial about.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Hell yeah, she's like maybe Andrew tried to get her
- 20:40Speaker 2: help at one point and it just didn't work.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Okay, okay, Yeah, so that's my thoughts on Nina. I'm
- 20:45Speaker 3: not going very deep into Nina. She pisses me off,
- 20:48Speaker 3: ce Cilia. I think that she's like this because of
- 20:50Speaker 3: her mother.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Agreed.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Obviously, Andrew just goes to work all the time.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Right, anytimes it perfectly. Times are perfectly all the time.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I reckon he sits in his car down the street
- 20:58Speaker 3: to be ready, right.
- 21:00Speaker 2: It smells that steak and then.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Millie, I think I liked the bread crumbing of We
- 21:09Speaker 3: don't know what she did and why she was in
- 21:11Speaker 3: prison for ten years.
- 21:12Speaker 1: That's a long time. Couldn't have been murder. Her parents
- 21:15Speaker 1: have completely cut her off.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Seventeen Yeah, what should we speculate she did?
- 21:19Speaker 1: She was seventeen and she went to prison for ten years?
- 21:22Speaker 4: Ten years? What do you have for ten year sentence?
- 21:26Speaker 1: Like, I don't know, arson and robbery or some shit.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Yeah, what do you get? Fun?
- 21:31Speaker 2: But it's giving. She killed someone, but she was probably
- 21:33Speaker 2: trialed as a minor, so she got ten years.
- 21:36Speaker 3: I think you're right. I think she's killed someone. Yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 3: because I was. I was going to say the seventeen
- 21:39Speaker 3: thing is what's making me believe that now?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Because how the book started to I also immediately thought
- 21:44Speaker 2: when the peanut butter scene came, I was like, oh,
- 21:47Speaker 2: she's going to accidentally kill a peanut butter later down
- 21:49Speaker 2: the line, and that could be a little teaser to
- 21:52Speaker 2: what it was and that she thinks she kills.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Okay, m Andrew, Yeah, I think that Nina is crazy
- 22:02Speaker 3: because of him.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Because of him.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Yeah, he's giving, charming, you know, goes to work, makes
- 22:10Speaker 3: the money. In front of guests, He's charming. He's great
- 22:14Speaker 3: to Cecilia. He's like always very nice to Nina. But
- 22:19Speaker 3: I think that the reason Nina is sometimes hot and
- 22:24Speaker 3: cold with Millie is because what she gets from Andrew
- 22:29Speaker 3: is hot and coldness. So in front of people, like
- 22:33Speaker 3: she dotes on Andrew, right, so she loves Andrew. Nina
- 22:36Speaker 3: loves Andrew in front of people. He's very like Nina,
- 22:40Speaker 3: my love, you know, happy front, putting on a facade.
- 22:44Speaker 3: I think once they're behind closed doors, like he makes
- 22:47Speaker 3: her beg for it type of shit. That's what I think. Okay,
- 22:50Speaker 3: I think he's got a bad.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Side, Yeah, I can see that. And Enzo ense we
- 22:57Speaker 2: don't know much about Enzo. He said danger and he's
- 23:01Speaker 2: also tatted up got massive biceps the size of yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 2: her thighs and could kill her if you wanted to apparently. Yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 2: but she also said looks like he's good in the bedroom.
- 23:16Speaker 3: She did say she wants to fuck him.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:18Speaker 2: She said she hasn't had sex since before presion, which
- 23:21Speaker 2: makes sense. Yeah, there's only stupid youth sex too, teenage sex.
- 23:26Speaker 2: I'm thinking he's trapped there for some reason. Same, he
- 23:29Speaker 2: can't leave, same because they have something on. I reckon
- 23:32Speaker 2: maybe they have a family member trapped somewhere in the
- 23:35Speaker 2: basement or something. And like one of his relatives.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Used to be the housemaid.
- 23:40Speaker 2: But also they said, but they said Andrews said, we'd
- 23:43Speaker 2: never had a housemaid before, never had to live in. Yeah,
- 23:46Speaker 2: a live in. But that also was kind of suss
- 23:47Speaker 2: to me because they're so rich and she's got so
- 23:49Speaker 2: many issues.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I reckon that was a lie.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that was like a little bit of breadcrumbing with
- 23:53Speaker 2: a lie. And like he said that because the other
- 23:55Speaker 2: ones downstairs or something.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Okay, would you like to go into prediction? Okay, Yeah,
- 24:01Speaker 3: so we're gonna get some predictions there. Yeah, Okay, I
- 24:04Speaker 3: think that based off that, I think that what's going
- 24:07Speaker 3: to happen is the the reason that they have hired
- 24:15Speaker 3: Millie is because either Andrew or Nina murdered their last help. Okay,
- 24:24Speaker 3: actually Cecilia did it. She's crazy, bro. Cecilia murdered the
- 24:30Speaker 3: last live in maid. All right, the last of it
- 24:33Speaker 3: made is currently a kid, bro just my prediction. So
- 24:37Speaker 3: Cecilia killed the last living maid. Yeah, the last living
- 24:40Speaker 3: maid is currently in the basement or something, right, And
- 24:44Speaker 3: they hired merely because they know she's an next con
- 24:49Speaker 3: and they know they can frame her because I have
- 24:52Speaker 3: a feeling she's probably was in You're right jail for murder,
- 24:56Speaker 3: but she got tried as a young as a minor
- 24:57Speaker 3: because she was seventeen. And what they're doing is they're
- 25:02Speaker 3: slowly integrating her into the house, right, and they are
- 25:08Speaker 3: going to frame her for the murder, okay, and the
- 25:14Speaker 3: police are going to believe them over of a Millie
- 25:17Speaker 3: of course, because she's an ex con also an ex murderer,
- 25:21Speaker 3: and you know they get to yeah, okay, that's what
- 25:25Speaker 3: that's what I think. Okay, different Okay. And the reason
- 25:28Speaker 3: Enzo is not saying anything and not saying that Andrew
- 25:32Speaker 3: and that murdered the previous live in Maid is because
- 25:38Speaker 3: they have something on him. Okay, screen card or some shit,
- 25:41Speaker 3: I don't.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Know, Okay, Okay, so my prediction is vastly different. Okay, Okay,
- 25:46Speaker 2: go on, So I reckon. Nina really wants kids, Andrew's infertile,
- 25:55Speaker 2: so Cecilia is actually Enzo's daughter, and the last Maid
- 26:01Speaker 2: found out, so Nina had to kill the last Maid,
- 26:04Speaker 2: the living Maid, and that's why she hates and resents
- 26:07Speaker 2: Enzo so much because she can't tell anyone. And they're
- 26:10Speaker 2: trying to have another kid with Andrew and then it
- 26:13Speaker 2: is not working. So Millie's going to walk in on
- 26:16Speaker 2: Nina and Enzo doing it to make the second kid,
- 26:19Speaker 2: and she finds out and then she's just gonna and
- 26:21Speaker 2: then Nina's going to try and kill Millie for finding
- 26:24Speaker 2: out that she's trying to have a second kid. And
- 26:25Speaker 2: that's why Enzo's still there because he's Cecilia's dad.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Ouh, my drop, Oh my god.
- 26:35Speaker 1: That was good. Yeah, that was a good prediction.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Oh wow, all right, watch me be completely wrong.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I love how I invested. You already are Yeah?
- 26:45Speaker 3: That was so good. All right, fatties, please okay, if
- 26:49Speaker 3: you've read this and more specifically, if you are reading along,
- 26:54Speaker 3: how many chapters we're going to go to next week?
- 26:56Speaker 1: These were short?
- 26:57Speaker 2: How many in the book?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Do we like these? I reckon we do ten again?
- 27:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and let us know in this episode if you
- 27:02Speaker 2: like the half an hour quicker episodes, yeah, or you
- 27:04Speaker 2: want us to do twenty and do a lot more
- 27:05Speaker 2: because recapping takes up majority of the time.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Yeah, the recap, I talk about fifteen solid minutes.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Then, because what I want, we're going to do ten
- 27:12Speaker 3: episodes sorry, ten chapters again, so chapters eleven to twenty.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Yeah, And what I.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Want from your bodies is to send us your like

- 27:36Speaker 3: more involved in this book club. And that's what we

- 27:41Speaker 3: and short and sweet, have you guys involved, having your say,
- 27:43Speaker 3: having your predictions, and then see how we like doing
- 27:47Speaker 3: that for this book, and if everyone really enjoys it,
- 27:49Speaker 3: then that's how we do the book club from.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Now one and the easiest way to do that is
- 27:52Speaker 2: on Patreon five dollars a month and you get the
- 27:57Speaker 2: book Club five days early and you get an extra episode.
