- 0:02Speaker 1: The bridge between what happened to Jesus and what happened
- 0:05Speaker 1: to you is the bridge that brings God's grace, his deliverance,
- 0:09Speaker 1: his power, his strength, his fortitude to get you through
- 0:14Speaker 1: your situation. Now I know you aren't Jesus and maybe
- 0:17Speaker 1: you aren't spotless and maybe the Roman soldiers have not
- 0:20Speaker 1: carried you away. Maybe life has carried you away and
- 0:24Speaker 1: you've been nailed down by disappointments, divorces, chaos, confusions. Abuse, molestations, trials, problems,
- 0:30Speaker 1: secret things you can't talk to anybody about. But let
- 0:33Speaker 1: me tell you something right now. Everybody in here has
- 0:40Speaker 1: his nails. Everybody in here carries their crosses. No matter
- 0:57Speaker 1: what school you went to, there's a cross for you.
- 1:01Speaker 1: No matter how many zeros are on the end of
- 1:03Speaker 1: your check, I tell you what, there will still be
- 1:06Speaker 1: a cross for you. A cross for your fine self.
- 1:13Speaker 1: A cross for your fat self. A cross for your
- 1:17Speaker 1: skinny self, a cross for your broken self, your black self,
- 1:21Speaker 1: your white self, your brown self, your Puerto Rican self.
- 1:24Speaker 1: There's still a cross for you. Some people stay nailed
- 1:37Speaker 1: to a cross. Some people stay complaining about what they've
- 1:43Speaker 1: been through and who hurt them and who betrayed them
- 1:46Speaker 1: and who gave them the kiss of death and who
- 1:48Speaker 1: walked out and who left them. And then there are
- 1:50Speaker 1: some people, they get off the cross, but they stay
- 1:53Speaker 1: in a tomb. of regret and misery and agony and
- 1:58Speaker 1: depression and they stop living and they stop breathing and
- 2:01Speaker 1: they anesthetize their pain with some kind of drug or
- 2:04Speaker 1: some kind of sex or some kind of fly-by-night person
- 2:08Speaker 1: who's here today and gone tomorrow and you find yourself
- 2:11Speaker 1: wrapped up in the grave clothes of guilt and shame
- 2:13Speaker 1: and you live behind your tomb. But a few folks,
- 2:22Speaker 1: a few people in this room have been resurrected above
- 2:27Speaker 1: their circumstance, above their situation, above their trauma, above their crisis,
- 2:32Speaker 1: above their dilemma. Here are the few folks in this
- 2:35Speaker 1: room that know him in the power of his resurrection.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And you've seen God bring you out of stuff that
- 2:43Speaker 1: you don't even know how you got out of it yourself.
- 2:45Speaker 1: But to God be the glory. And you know what
- 2:51Speaker 1: the problem is? For all of you folks that's been
- 2:53Speaker 1: resurrected from something, the problem is when people see you now,
- 2:58Speaker 1: they think you have never been through anything. But would
- 3:02Speaker 1: you just set the record straight? This Easter Sunday morning,
- 3:07Speaker 1: I'm not here because I haven't been nailed. I'm not
- 3:10Speaker 1: here because I haven't been shut up. But through it all,
- 3:13Speaker 1: I decided I will not stay where you left me.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I'm going to have a Sunday morning resurrection experience. And
- 3:21Speaker 1: I'm going to have it on Monday. And I'm going
- 3:24Speaker 1: to have it on Tuesday. And I'm going to have
- 3:26Speaker 1: it on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Thank you.
