Paddleboarders Rescued in River Storm | Seattle News

Four friends paddleboarding on the Columbia River near Wanapum State Park got caught in a sudden storm, swept out into the middle of the river, and split up—two even fell into the frigid water. Despite treacherous conditions that swamped rescue boats, deputies pulled all four to safety. One was an eight-year-old girl, and while three wore life jackets, one didn’t.
