- Daniel: Clint, two idiots came on here to this channel last week, and they said that Georgia matches up favorably, looks better than all the rest of the college football playoff contenders. And now those same two idiots are gonna tell you why they were probably underselling Georgia, if they're being honest. Clint: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Hmm. Okay. We're still here. Why when we said that, these two idiots, by the way, are we're staring at you in the camera. We're the two idiots. by the way, Daniel, really quick, people are curious. The the hole above Stetson Bennett Fleming the Third on your wall. That's not that's not like an archery. They weren't like practicing archery or something. Daniel: Mm-hmm. Uh-huh. Mm-hmm. Listen somebody may have come in here shooting at me at some point, like it's fine. It's not I listen, I have made a few enemies, a lot of them are Texas fans. If you listen more than eight minutes into this episode, you're gonna understand why. Clint: Daniel has Daniel has enemies, okay? ⁓ Daniel, we were the two idiots that undersold everybody, including ourselves. And it's not just us. Like, yes, we love Georgia, we are fans, we trust Kirby Smart, the whole thing, but now all of a sudden metrics are coming into play, other professionals are coming into play. The team itself is talking about the togetherness. You you hear it when the players come to the podium. You see it on Kirby Smart when he is salty. And sm and just a son of a he's just an SOB. Come press conference time. He's not metrics are telling us that we're elite on offense and defense points per drive. Very simple stat. There are three teams, top three in the entire nation: Indiana, Miami, and Georgia. Daniel: Yeah, not not a nice guy. Clint: Our top three in points per drive, keeping them down on defense and having them on offense. Meaning Mike Bobo and Glenn Schumann are cooking right now to this tune of ⁓ yes, the two national championship contending teams from last year that are doing quite well against, may I add, competition that is nearly identical to what George has played. You can try to tell me Stanford is a legit team. Daniel: Mm-hmm. Cooking. You wouldn't. You wouldn't do that. Western Kentucky would beat Stanford. Clint: If Western Kentucky would mop Stanford, I'm here to I'm not kidding you. People smaller than me were bullying the guards for Stanford. I d I it was it was an abysmal showing. ⁓ so Daniel, yeah, we we're likely underselling just how good this Georgia team is. Truly and honestly, which is staggering. Daniel: I've seen. Yeah. Yeah. By the way, if you're new to this channel, if you've if you come if you if you like this channel, if you're watching these videos, two things you could do that would really help us out. Clint, I'm going to name a team and you tell me if that team has a prayer of beating Georgia in a college football playoff scenario. Oregon. Clint: Every week. Yeah. Okay, great. Great. I'm s I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It would be a smattering, the likes of which we saw three years ago, Daniel. It would be an absolute smattering. Okay, no. That's laughable. Daniel: Yeah, and Dan Lanning's first ever game. Yeah. Oregon has no shot to beat Georgia. Clint: Dante Moore would be would out Arch Manning Arch Manning in that game. The look of absolute confusion. Daniel: Confusion. we're gonna get to Archmanny. Let's jump let's jump somewhere else. Let's go Texas Tech, the favorite to win the Big Twelve, Clint. Clint: I I apologize to no one when I tell you that Texas Tech has a greater likelihood of taking over the state of Georgia than it does beating Georgia on a football field. Like like coming in, invading the state and saying you're now part of Texas. Correct. Yes. Daniel: Hostile takeover. An act of war is what you're saying. Okay. how about LSU? Lane Kiffin, Clint? Clint: You mean you mean Sam Levitt, who by the way, the Sam Levitt who's about to run Rickshaw all through Ole Miss, okay? ⁓ would have two pick sixes in the first eight minutes against this defense. Okay? Like it would be 14 0 and Gunnar Stockton would have zero attempts. Daniel: Zero ten. Clint: No, they're LSU I'm I'm gonna give them because it is Lane and he is very good at calling plays, like just definitively, but I'm putting a ten percent chance. Daniel: Yeah. Ten percent chance. Okay? How about Arch Manning in Texas? Clint: 10% chance because it is Link of it. Okay. I'm gonna give him a higher chance than 10%. I'm not gonna say it's 0%, but this Texas team has likely a 25% chance. That's the highest I'm willing to go. That's that's that's not that's like the top end for me, Daniel. That it you could Daniel: Ooh. It's not that high for me. Clint: You if if I say like if I'm like eighteen percent and you're like, come on, look at all these things. I'm like, all right, what do you say? And you're like thirty percent. I'm like, nope, not a chance. Not one in three. No, no, no, no, no. Twenty-five one in four? Okay, maybe. ⁓ okay, all right. I entertained that. Daniel: Eight percent. Eight percent. Texas Texas can do one thing. Clint: Dolce. Or she but ⁓ I was I was gonna give ⁓ two things. So okay. What's the one thing? Daniel: ⁓ I mean on offense, sorry. The Texas offense can do one thing. ⁓ it's run the ball with physicality. That's what they can do. Cam Coleman called and he just wanted to let you know that he ain't it. He ain't it, Texas fan. He not. He caught it with one hand in practice. Don't care. Clint: Okay, good. Yes, they can. By the way, before all Arch had to do he did. All Arch had to do was put it on him and not make him do a circus acrobat jumping for his life out of a window. Touchdown. And he couldn't do that. Daniel: Yeah. Yeah. But the extent the extent to which Cam Coleman ain't it is vastly overshadowed by the extent to which ⁓ well Jeremiah Smith and Cam Coleman. They were they were comping those guys before the game. Those are two completely different human beings. Like not even the same species. ⁓ Arch Manning is not it, Clint. He's a liability in the passing game. Clint: He got out shone. Stupid. Stupid. Yes, they are. No. Daniel: Full stop. Against a real defense, he's a liability in the passing game. Full stop. And I'm not even convinced Ohio State is a real defense this year. Clint: ⁓ He can't process. Ohio State's a B B plus defense. Daniel: They lost everyone off that defense. Clint: And you could see it. There's that one dude on the edge who who showed out just a little, had some good plays, but everybody's gone from that defense. It's not the same people. That is Arch Manny can't process. You see him in the backfield running around and then setting up and looking for second, third, fourth reads, and then checking down the running back or tucking and running or taking a sack instead of throwing it out of bounds eight yards back because he's not processing. Because he can't. Daniel: The next time Texas wins a real game will be the first time Texas has won a real game since Vince Young. And the Red River ain't a real game, Texas fans, so please stop with it. Clint: They were John John Matir said, Arch, I got ya. Don't Daniel: I got you. You'll be the best quarterback in that game still. I got your back. ⁓ Clint: ⁓ Ohio State was on the road early season without any of the dudes they had, with all the juice. I mean it Yes, Texas, you should have won. Congratulations on a game. You should have won. Daniel: Squeaked it out. ⁓ let's go Ohio State, Clinton. Probability that Ohio State beats Georgia in a college ball playoff scenario. Clint: It's higher than Texas for me, and here's why. Ryan Day ain't an idiot like Ste Steve Sarkeesian. Steve, every good football coach who wins championships doesn't call place. See what I'm saying? Steve, see what I'm saying? P. Period. They give it up. They give up their pride for the betterment of their team, Steve. ⁓ Daniel: Period. Clint: You said eight percent. let me stick with your scale. Ohio State has a a physical run game, but also a mutant on the outside. Daniel: Okay. Mm-hmm. Correct. Clint: Defense is not there at all, but Ryan Day is a better coach than Steve Sarkeesian. Period. So I'm gonna give him 15% using your scale of eight percent. Daniel: fifteen percent. I think that's fair. I was gonna go somewhere in the thirteen to fifteen range. I don't hate it. Indiana Clint: People. His name's Signetti, and he has thirty three year old men on the offensive line. Daniel: That Sam Levin ain't the number one transfer quarterback. Clint: No. Hoover? Dude. J Daniel: I mean Kurt Signetti turns everybody into dudes. Do you know who wasn't a dude before they went to Indiana? Mendoza. He wasn't anything. Wasn't anything. ⁓ this one's h yeah, this one's a little bit higher for me. I still don't trust Indiana. I'll put it maybe 18%. Clint: Everybody. Who? Yep. Higher. Trust. I now see I I'm gonna go I'm gonna go twenty five percent Indiana. I'm up there. Daniel: You're up there. See, to me, the team I would put up there is Miami. Miami's the team I'm gonna put twenty-five. Clint: Miami would be the highest. Thirty thirty-three percent chance for me beating Georgia is Miami because that defense is real. Tony is real. The play callers, not Crystal Ball, but the play callers are very, very sharp. Defensive coordinators officer they did. Daniel: Yeah, and they upgraded a quarterback. Big time. So they to me are the scariest team for this Georgia team. But listen I mean, Clint. Georgia is the team to beat in college football right now. Period. Clint: Is it, people? Shh. You tell again, d the last five champions, you tell me what they did really well. Ran the ball with physicality, had incredible pass rush, stopped the run in the trenches, and had timely playmakers. Daniel: Period. Clint: ⁓ okay. I I have all of that plus more in Georgia. So that that covers every champion that has ever been in college football in the college football playoff era. Secondly, like you just did the exercise, who who scares you matchup wise? Who has the defense to stop Nate Frazier and Dandridge and Elias Williams and Rodell? Daniel: Mm no one. Clint: No one. Okay. Who has the offensive line, the run game, and the quick release quarterback to get the ball out to receivers that aren't gonna get jammed up by Ellis Robinson, Damelo Jones. Maybe Ohio State, maybe. But then you Miami, maybe. Okay. All right. Well, y you're gonna rely on that for four quarters against Georgia? Daniel: Mm-hmm. Miami. Clint: You don't have complete team. People, you don't have the complete team like Georgia is a complete team. Daniel: Yeah, I the team I forgot to mention, which people are going to say belongs in here. I'm curious how you feel about their percentage wise compared to some of these other teams, is Notre Dame. Okay. Well where are they where do they fall? Clint: They They do. They belong in this conversation. They fall third on this list to me, behind Indiana and Miami. They have a better shot than Texas. They have a better shot than Ohio State. One, Marcus Freeman, I have a ton of respect for. I've made that known. I think he is a top four coach in college football. Two, they do all the things well and they're built from the inside out. I respect teams that have that. Okay. The playmaking ability is a question mark for me. But physicality, tackling, toughness, fundamentals, all there. Daniel: Interesting. Sure. Good coach. Yeah. Clint: And you're gonna have to have that against Georgia. Do they have the playmaking ability? No, probably not. That's why I put ⁓ behind Ohio State and Indiana. Or I'm sorry, Miami. In Indiana. Daniel: I I think Notre Dame's gonna go undefeated in the regular season, and I think if they matched up against Georgia in a college ball playoff scenario, they would get blown out. Like maybe by like twenty eight or something. I've got it wait I've got ⁓ way down on this list. I do think they're a good team. I just don't think they can do the specific things that would be required to beat Georgia. I think they're bl they're they're not last on my list, but they're I mean they're not they're not down there with Oregon. Clint: Like we're talking Penn State. Daniel: Right now, Oregon can't at this point, Dan. Clint: This is the most talented team Oregon's ever had. Daniel: It's tough. Clint: And they lost week two against Oklahoma State in Stillwater and have the rest of the big boys to go through. They're not O Oregon's not making the Daniel: can't see a way. I mean they might. But they're gonna have to turn some things around significantly. Or they're gonna get run out of some games in the Big Ten. Like full stop. Clint: Just in two weeks they have USC. They then have to play Ohio State at Ohio State. That's a loss. ⁓ I think they're gonna lose against USC. They dodge a couple other guys in here. Washington. They don't play Indiana. Washington's no joke. Daniel: That's a loss. Yeah, they don't have to play Indiana. They're not beat their Washington's not beating them. Washington sucks. Terrible. Clint: They they're not ter they're not terrible. Not terrible, Daniel. Daniel: No, Washington State is and Washington struggled against them. So that they're terrible. Clint: ⁓ Michigan may beat them as well. Daniel: I didn't I didn't mention Oklahoma. Georgia plays them in two weeks. Clint: Mm well I Daniel: Yeah. Clint: I let me tell you this. The over under first half points, I'm gonna take the under in the first half of that game. Over under second half. Daniel: I don't know. Georgia scored forty nine in the first half last weekend. So they may do that against Oklahoma. Clint: Oklahoma, I think, is going to button it down just enough, play control, not let John Mateer freaking get his butt over his skis too much. I'm taking the owner in that, but the second half is gonna be pull away central. Daniel: He is Clint. I am Daniel. ⁓ make sure you're subscribed.
