- 0:02Good morning and welcome to the live stream Basement Dwellers.
- 0:05We're going to cover it all today.
- 0:07We've got a great, great show. I have a special guest who's
- 0:10going to be joining us in just one minute.
- 0:13But first, I want to ask you a question.
- 0:15How would you feel about paying a 20% tax when you buy silver or
- 0:22gold for that matter? How does that make you feel,
- 0:25right? Are we the luckiest stackers in
- 0:27the world in the United States? Also $33 silver.
- 0:33We're going to talk about that, but we're also going to talk
- 0:36about $46 silver. And I think I can lay out a case
- 0:41that the silver price should easily, could easily be $46 per
- 0:46oz right now. Does that seem out of the
- 0:47question to you? It does not seem out of the
- 0:50question to me, $46 silver seems very, very reasonable.
- 0:55Some of us might even argue a little bit low.
- 0:58Also, big warning. All right, we got to reissue the
- 1:01massive warning for today, right now.
- 1:05We'll get to that next. But first, let's all welcome our
- 1:08good friend Brian from Mountain Bullion Entertainment, who's
- 1:12joining us yet again today. Brian, welcome to Ron's
- 1:15Basement. Thanks for having me on.
- 1:18It's an honor to be back. Well, it's always an honor to
- 1:21have you. It looks like you've got some
- 1:22pretty gold and silver coins there for all of us to look at.
- 1:26Brian, let me let me ask you this question my friend.
- 1:31I'm going to issue the big warning.
- 1:32We talked about this yesterday, but today, Tuesday, we have 5
- 1:36Fed speakers, five Federal Reserve speakers, governors
- 1:41right here. Let me pull this up so everybody
- 1:43can see, so I can provide proof 'cause we always want to provide
- 1:47proof to the audience. This is from MarketWatch.
- 1:52This is today, guys. 10:00 AM, Richmond Fed 1140 Boston Fed
- 1:571:00 PM Dallas Fed 1:00 PM Fed Governor Adrian, Did they add
- 2:04one on me anyway? 1:20 PM Saint Louis Fed. 2:00 PM
- 2:09Chicago Fed President Austin Goolsbee, I will say he has my
- 2:14favorite last name of any Fed governor.
- 2:17But the Fed, they're, they're like rolling out the clowns.
- 2:19Do you have any thoughts? I know I'm hitting you with this
- 2:21on the spot, Brian, but do you have any thoughts about why does
- 2:24the Fed have to roll out all these, all these governors to
- 2:28like talk to the markets about what's going on?
- 2:32Seems like they're trying to control the narrative.
- 2:34Need to get get some extra folks in there.
- 2:40Do you, do you think maybe it could be because what they're, I
- 2:45think this is key for our viewer that's joining us and for you
- 2:48and I to understand like we kind of we kind of just take the Fed
- 2:52situation for granted. But do you think maybe it has
- 2:55something to do with the fact that they're, they're supporting
- 2:59and selling something to people that's really based on nothing,
- 3:02based on competence alone? Does that does that make sense,
- 3:05Brian? That does make sense.
- 3:07They, they might be a little concerned about what's going on
- 3:10with project and Bridge and they want to, you know, keep everyone
- 3:14under control. Yeah, yeah.
- 3:17And they want to control the narrative surrounding the dollar
- 3:19because when we when we look at this right, paper dollar, this
- 3:24is not a silver certificate. This is based on nothing but
- 3:28just confidence, right? That's not backed by anything.
- 3:31So. So I've laid out this argument
- 3:33that the Fed is less of a bank really now and more of like a
- 3:38public relations firm. Yeah, I mean, that makes sense.
- 3:42And they have a lot to keep under control right now.
- 3:46You, you know, with everything that's going on with Saudi
- 3:48Arabia and the end of the Petro dollar agreement that we had
- 3:55with them, you know, this is something where it's the Saudis
- 4:00are probably looking in our country and are concerned, you
- 4:03know, something similar to the current Biden administration
- 4:06will be in control of the country on and off from this
- 4:09point forward. And, you know, that could be a
- 4:12potential problem for them. You know, we sold ourselves as
- 4:18being better than the Chinese. You know, this is we're supposed
- 4:21to be the safe, stable country. And then when they see what
- 4:25happened with the Russians freezing their assets and then
- 4:30of course, using those assets to fund the Ukraine war, I mean,
- 4:34that's almost like a worst case scenario for someone who was
- 4:37looking at our country as a safe place as that was looking at at
- 4:42our dollars as a safe place to store their money.
- 4:45Yeah, yeah, I mean and the Chinese, that situation, the
- 4:49Russian situation, the bricks in general de dollarizing, right.
- 4:54And you know, it can get real complicated and and nobody can
- 4:58can really pin everything down. But do you think it's safe to
- 5:01say, and I'd be curious what our viewers think about this, this
- 5:04as well, that no matter how you slice it or dice it, Brian, it
- 5:08feels like the world is moving away from the dollar just at a
- 5:12time when the United States of America needs the world to need
- 5:17the dollar more than ever, right?
- 5:21We have MAP record amounts of debt.
- 5:23So we need the world to loan US money, loan U.S. dollars.
- 5:26But at that very same time, what's the world saying?
- 5:30They're saying, no, we're going to sell your treasuries.
- 5:33We don't want your treasuries and we're going to use that
- 5:36money, that Fiat paper money that you give us back and we're
- 5:40going to buy gold and silver with it, right?
- 5:41I mean is that, is that a simple way to look at the situation in
- 5:44your opinion? Yeah, I, I would say so.
- 5:48I think that a lot of these countries, you know, that are
- 5:50looking at this from the sidelines.
- 5:53They don't want to end up like Russia.
- 5:55Putin had said during the interview that he did with
- 5:59Tucker Carlson that 70% of their transactions before our
- 6:03sanctions were done in U.S. dollars.
- 6:05And after the sanctions, they went down to 20% dollars.
- 6:10Of course, they ended up with the short end of the stick.
- 6:13And I'm sure these countries don't want to end up in the
- 6:15position that Russians in that Russia is in trying to, you
- 6:18know, unbury themselves from this.
- 6:20And, you know, if they're looking at a country like China
- 6:24who could potentially do something like this, but that
- 6:26hasn't exhibited that behavior, they might not seem like that
- 6:31bad of an option after all. And now you see all of them
- 6:34starting to engage in this imbridge, you know, which is a
- 6:38central bank digital currency that they're going to be using
- 6:42for cross-border transactions. So a lot of these transactions
- 6:45that used to be done in dollars, you know, they're they're not
- 6:48going to be doing that anymore. And, you know, of course, I
- 6:51don't know how long it'll take for all of this to really come
- 6:54back to home and for us to really feel it.
- 6:56But, you know, something that I had seen years ago that came out
- 7:01of the Chicago Fed was saying that they thought 60% of all
- 7:05$100 bills at that time were actually overseas, not even in
- 7:10the United States. So we got a lot of of dollars
- 7:13sloshing around out there in the world.
- 7:15And if people aren't as interested in them anymore, I
- 7:17mean, it could become a problem for us.
- 7:20It could, it could lead to skyrocketing prices for silver
- 7:24and gold measured in U.S. dollars, right?
- 7:26But what we're really concerned about is the real value of
- 7:29silver and gold Brawl. I think our viewer, the person
- 7:33joining us today, which by the way, we're pleased to have you
- 7:37here, Brian and I, you know, it's not Ron tube, it's not
- 7:40Brian Tube, it's YouTube. So thank you for joining us.
- 7:43Please give this a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel.
- 7:46And I'll tell you later how you can learn more about Brian in
- 7:49his content on YouTube as well. But I don't think I, I think all
- 7:53of us, like we don't even realize.
- 7:55We don't even realize how spoiled we've been, right?
- 8:00I'm 54 years old, like my entire life, I was born at night, how
- 8:03spoiled we've been because the US dollar was not just the world
- 8:08reserve currency, but like the dominant force in the world.
- 8:12And that the ramifications of D dollarization are not a good
- 8:17thing for the United States. And I mean, I would think it's
- 8:20safe to say that like 99.8% my neighbors, he's like, I mean, if
- 8:25I go knock on 10 of my neighbors doors and said, what do you
- 8:28think about D dollarization? They would look at me, you know,
- 8:31they'd probably call the cops and say now he's really gone
- 8:33over the edge, right? But we know this is really going
- 8:36on. It's really a thing and it's
- 8:39going to result. Again, you can, you can get all
- 8:41complicated and look at all kinds of crazy charts and
- 8:44everything else, but the end result of it is a decrease in
- 8:48value in the US dollar because Brian and I am I just, you can
- 8:53tell me if I'm crazy, Brian. Trust me, Susie does it all the
- 8:56time. But, but I mean it if, if
- 9:00anything is in less demand, whether it's oil, bread,
- 9:05baseball cards, no matter what it is, if it's in less demand
- 9:08and has less uses, the value of it goes down, right?
- 9:12I mean, and I think that's what we're, what we're seeing
- 9:16transpire with the dollar, be it fast or slow.
- 9:19We're not saying it's going to happen overnight or anything
- 9:21like that. But as that value of the dollar
- 9:23goes down as you measure gold and silver in dollars, the value
- 9:29of gold and silver should go up. Yeah, I mean that.
- 9:33That's definitely my impression. And I mean, similar to to you,
- 9:38sometimes I'll bring up the bricks.
- 9:40And a lot of times people, they haven't heard the term.
- 9:44They, they, they don't know what I'm talking about.
- 9:47And it, so it's, it's really kind of sad because it's just
- 9:50this, this thing. And yeah, you know, like you
- 9:53said, we don't know when it's gonna happen.
- 9:55It probably isn't gonna be soon, but it is something that's
- 9:57coming. And there's just a general lack
- 9:59of awareness. And I mean it, it really makes
- 10:02me feel bad. I love this country.
- 10:04And I wish that we wouldn't have put those sanctions on Russia
- 10:07and froze their assets. I feel like it's permanently
- 10:10tarnished our reputation around the world.
- 10:13And just, you know, all these countries are not viewing the
- 10:15dollar as being safe anymore. And yeah, it it's just.
- 10:20And they're buying gold and they're buying gold and they're
- 10:23buying silver. That's what they're doing,
- 10:25right? I mean, that's their action.
- 10:27Absolutely. You know that they gotta find
- 10:29something that they can trust. If they're are losing trust in
- 10:33the dollar, they're gonna go back to the precious metals.
- 10:36Yeah, yeah, yeah. And nobody knows.
- 10:38Nobody your average American doesn't know.
- 10:40But that's actually good because think about this, Brian.
- 10:43And we got a lot more to cover, guys, a ton to cover. 20% tax
- 10:46when you buy silver and gold. We're going to get to that.
- 10:49We're going to get the $46 silver, right?
- 10:51But think about this, Brian. I want you to argue with me on
- 10:55this. If you think I'm wrong, I give
- 10:56you full, full. It might be the basement, but
- 10:59it's just as much your show today as mine.
- 11:01Argue with me on this. Nobody knows my neighbors don't
- 11:05know, right? If, if, if we try to talk about
- 11:08the bricks, we try to talk about, you know, the D
- 11:10dollarization, any of this going on, nobody knows.
- 11:14But isn't that in a, in a weird way or a or a or a counter
- 11:20intuitive way, actually a good thing for gold and silver
- 11:24stackers because we can see what appears to be coming.
- 11:28Look, you and I don't have crystal balls.
- 11:31You know, we can't say for sure that the the dollar's gonna
- 11:34gonna lose significant amounts of its value, but it sure seems
- 11:38obvious. And that when the fact that
- 11:41nobody else knows and we're like part of this little group of
- 11:44people that know that when when more and more of these people
- 11:47start to wake up, if we are indeed correct, which I know we
- 11:51are, but I could be wrong and you could be wrong as well.
- 11:53But when these other people start to wake up, it's going to
- 11:56be, it could be like an avalanche of new people coming
- 12:00into the silver and gold market. And every article I read, I had
- 12:03one up earlier from from Kitco about Bank of America.
- 12:08The Bank of America analysts are talking about silver going
- 12:11higher and higher and higher and how the only thing missing right
- 12:16now is investor demand in the West.
- 12:20So it's actually a good thing. I'd rather look and I promise
- 12:23I'll stop talking. But but if you think about this,
- 12:26if you and I and our viewer who's joining us today, who we
- 12:30value very much, we're sitting here talking about, oh, we got
- 12:33silver at 30 bucks an ounce and, and everybody and around us in
- 12:39our country was in the middle of a, there was a craze going on.
- 12:42Everybody was talking about silver and gold.
- 12:44We wouldn't have much room for improvement, if that makes
- 12:48sense. So the fact that we're like this
- 12:50little elite Green Beret portion of the society, that we're like
- 12:56one out of 100 or 200 people, I think it's a good thing 'cause
- 13:00when it does happen, when they do wake up, guess what, baby?
- 13:03You've already got, I can see you've got some silver there,
- 13:05right? You've already got your medal.
- 13:07We've already got our medal. Then everybody else is going to
- 13:09be crazy about it. Right, absolutely.
- 13:12And, you know, they say less than 1% of the US population has
- 13:18gold and silver. So or, or silver, I should say.
- 13:22So it, it, it could really be a huge difference.
- 13:25And we are ahead of the power curve.
- 13:27It is nice to be part of the, the people who have been paying
- 13:31attention and who have been lucky enough to be aware and
- 13:34being able to take advantage of the pricing where it's been at
- 13:38'cause you know, I something that you had touched on before
- 13:40was the GME situation. Imagine if just half of the
- 13:46people, the retail investors in GME came into the silver market,
- 13:51I mean, you know it, that flood the the amount of pressure it
- 13:55would put on the market would be almost guaranteed to drive the
- 13:58price up quite a bit in a relatively short amount of time.
- 14:02Yeah, yeah, GameStop, Brian, for those of our viewers who didn't
- 14:05know because it took me a second to be, he's talking about
- 14:07GameStop and yeah. And GameStop, I don't know where
- 14:11the stock is today, but there were a couple times in the last
- 14:13few weeks where the market cap of GameStop was $15 billion.
- 14:19You know how many ounces of silver are mined and produced
- 14:22every year, like a little north of a billion, right?
- 14:25I mean, that's almost like, that's almost like half.
- 14:28And you figure 30 bucks an ounce for silver, that's 30 billion.
- 14:31That means GameStop was valued at half of the value of all the
- 14:36silver that's produced everywhere in the world over the
- 14:40course of a year. I mean, are you kidding me?
- 14:43Right? It's crazy.
- 14:45And yeah, you're right. Because, Brian, you know, if we
- 14:49look at extras Pyramid, let me see if I can pull it up here.
- 14:52We're going off the cuff here, but this stuff is so important.
- 14:55Hold on. There it is.
- 14:56There she. Is Yep it.
- 14:57It really is. There's there's extras pyramid,
- 15:00right? I mean, if if you look at that
- 15:03and what what Brian's talking about here, guys, is this
- 15:06prospect of just a little bit that oops, hold on.
- 15:10That's shows us visually how gold and silver at the bottom
- 15:15are tiny and it and, and actually if this was drawn to
- 15:18scale, you probably wouldn't even be able to see gold and
- 15:21silver, but gold and silver are like the base of everything.
- 15:25And you know, I don't extra didn't put stocks.
- 15:27I don't think I see stocks on here, but I put stocks up there
- 15:30as well because most stocks now are not, are, are based on very
- 15:34little real assets. They're they're Unicorn fart
- 15:37desk. It's all based on hope and
- 15:39future projections of how much money a company is going to
- 15:42make. If a little bit of that money
- 15:45drops out of, you know, derivatives.
- 15:47I think we figured at one point like 1% and, and falls down into
- 15:51the gold and silver sector, like 1% of it would like double the
- 15:56amount of money in the gold market.
- 15:57So I mean, it's really a crazy prospect, but everybody believes
- 16:03it. You know, we all have this kind
- 16:05of recency bias where, you know, everything's been this way, so
- 16:09it'll continue to be this way and, you know, stocks will be
- 16:12valuable, whatever. I mean, I don't know.
- 16:14I don't know. We're right, absolutely.
- 16:17And everyone, you know, it just it always seems like next week
- 16:21is going to be the same as the previous week and next month is
- 16:23the same as the previous month. But sometimes things do start to
- 16:26change and, you know, hopefully people will wake up a little
- 16:29bit. You know, another thing that
- 16:31kind of excites me about the the GameStop movement is a lot of
- 16:36those folks are interested in squeezing banker short
- 16:40positions. And so I have wondered if if the
- 16:43word gets out about the large short positions they have in
- 16:46silver, if some of those same individuals might go, hey, I
- 16:50think I want to squeeze the silver shorts.
- 16:52You know, I want to, I want to get in on this silver squeeze
- 16:55that that I've I just read about.
- 16:57So hopefully some of those people will come over to our
- 16:59side and we would welcome them with open arms.
- 17:02Yeah, absolutely. Because there are there is a
- 17:05huge paper short interest in the silver market, the the paper
- 17:09silver markets and paper gold markets.
- 17:13I was listening to Andrew McGuire on Live from the Vault
- 17:16over the weekend. I think that guy has the most
- 17:18detailed, well based understanding of the intricacies
- 17:23of the paper silver and paper gold markets.
- 17:26And he was talking about the paper gold market.
- 17:29It is just screwed up right now. I saw an an article this
- 17:32morning. The have you, have you ever
- 17:35heard of the Bank of International Settlements,
- 17:37Brian? I I've heard of it but not too
- 17:40familiar with all their shenanigans.
- 17:42And I'm not an expert on it, but what I do know is this, the Bank
- 17:46of International Settlements is the central bank for the central
- 17:51banks throughout the world. And they have like diplomatic
- 17:54immunity. People think they're, you know,
- 17:56controlled. There's all kinds of conspiracy
- 17:58theories surrounding the Bank for International Settlements.
- 18:00I won't get into, but but the Bank for International
- 18:04Settlements suddenly showed up with like this massive gold
- 18:07swaps on their balance sheet. And people are like, what is
- 18:11going on? Like, why is the Bank of
- 18:13International Settlements taking these weird positions on the
- 18:17gold market? And a lot of it has to do with
- 18:20the Bank of England. And this was an Australian guy
- 18:23who was like, This is why we need to get our gold.
- 18:26I guess the the Bank of England holds a lot of gold for
- 18:28Australia. Like, well, This is why we need
- 18:31to get our gold back from the Bank of England, right?
- 18:34And we know India just took back 100 tons of gold, I think from
- 18:38the Bank of England, right? Like that's going on all around
- 18:41the world. People are saying we want our
- 18:43gold, right? We want our gold back.
- 18:45This is, you know, it feels like, and, and, and what Andrew
- 18:48McGuire was saying, and he wasn't speaking specifically to
- 18:51this Bank of International Settlements, but he was talking
- 18:53about the LBMA and the COMEX and the Shanghai Gold Exchange and,
- 18:59and the, and these, you know, it's very complicated stuff, but
- 19:02I, I can boil it down to this. Like these big electronic
- 19:06exchanges are, are increasingly binding themselves in, in a
- 19:12predicament when it comes to both physical gold and physical
- 19:16silver or the, you know, being able to settle these contracts.
- 19:20And that's what's going to happen, right?
- 19:22Eventually, eventually all the make believe goes away, right?
- 19:26All the like. You can only think about this,
- 19:29Brian. And you again, come on, you can
- 19:30argue with me if you don't, but you can only lie for so long,
- 19:34right? That I mean, eventually truth
- 19:36prevails, right? Yeah, absolutely.
- 19:40And I think that when you see, I'd heard about that situation
- 19:44with India, when you see these countries and they want to get
- 19:48physical possession of these metals, they want to reduce that
- 19:52counterparty risk. And, and it, I partially think
- 19:55it might have to do with the same thing with the confiscation
- 19:59of assets that, you know, 'cause it's the trust has been lost
- 20:03probably for the West overall. I mean, we're all in the G7
- 20:06together. They see NATO making these crazy
- 20:10moves. And and, you know, they want to
- 20:13untangle themselves from that mess.
- 20:15It is my concern. And and we might just see this
- 20:18trend continue, maybe even accelerate.
- 20:21Yeah, it's the whole, the whole world system being based on
- 20:26nothing but confidence and trust, right.
- 20:30And, and we, we can look and see, it's plain to see that the
- 20:34trust level between countries is deteriorating.
- 20:38Man, this is one thing after another's coming to mind that I
- 20:41want to mention this as well, right as we talk about the BRICS
- 20:44countries. And I don't know who said this,
- 20:47but I think this was one of the most insightful, brilliant
- 20:50things. And it makes the hearts of
- 20:52silver and gold investors warm with joy when they hear this.
- 20:57Like we know, as you and I talked about, the world is
- 21:00rejecting the dollar little by little, right?
- 21:02There's this whole Project Sandman theory that, you know,
- 21:06whatever. And that's to me, that's really
- 21:09more most a conspiracy theory. But we know at minimum, right?
- 21:13Chop by chop by chop, they're chopping away at the value of
- 21:17the US dollar. And everybody's like, oh, the
- 21:19bricks, the bricks or, you know, blah, blah, blah.
- 21:22But this is what's really cool and really interesting and and
- 21:25it's and it's a fact, right? The BRICS countries may not
- 21:29trust the dollar, but but they trust each other's currencies
- 21:35even less. So what are they going to?
- 21:37They're going to silver and gold.
- 21:40Right now that makes sense. It'll be the backing for their
- 21:44transactions. And, you know, I'm not too
- 21:46familiar with it, but I had seen an article and a few years back,
- 21:50I believe, and it was about the digital you want and they had an
- 21:53expiration date on it. And and so, you know, that could
- 21:56encourage people to to spend them, which could, you know,
- 22:00help drive their economy just through consumerism, But that's
- 22:04pretty sketchy. And so it makes sense that they
- 22:07don't have a lot of trust in each other's currencies.
- 22:09And silver and gold is would be the go to in a situation like
- 22:13that. That's what they go to.
- 22:14You know what, hold on I got. Well, then we'll come back to
- 22:16Pendek because I got to show this as well.
- 22:19Hold on, hold on. Where is it cause of what you
- 22:25just said. You know it's not just you that
- 22:27said that, Brian. This guy said it right here.
- 22:32OK, Alan, Alan Greenspan said this.
- 22:36OK, quote. Yet gold has special properties
- 22:40that no other currency, right? Not the yuan, not the renminbi,
- 22:44not the whatever you know, not the dollar, not the yen, any OK.
- 22:48Gold has special properties that no other currency with the
- 22:51possible exception of silver. So he says gold and silver have
- 22:54these qualities can claim for more than two millennia, which
- 22:58is I believe 1000 years, gold has had virtually unquestioned
- 23:02acceptance as payment. It has never required the credit
- 23:07guarantee of a third party. That's Alan Greenspan, who was
- 23:12the the chair of the Federal Reserve for a lot of time,
- 23:15right? He said that, you know, I think
- 23:16back in the 60s or 70s, but he was speaking the truth when he
- 23:20said that, that, you know, that, that that's why silver.
- 23:23That's right there that if you, if any of our viewers have any
- 23:26question why central banks are buying gold, Why, why, why, why,
- 23:31why countries are accumulating massive amounts of silver.
- 23:34There it is right there in that one paragraph.
- 23:37You can Google it yourself. Alan Greenspan.
- 23:40Brian, I need to say thank you to.
- 23:41Oh, go ahead, buddy, Go. Ahead.
- 23:43That's fine. Yeah, I mean that very
- 23:45insightful. From yeah, yeah, you know,
- 23:49that's Alan Greenspan that said that.
- 23:53Interesting. And the extras pyramid we looked
- 23:56at earlier, that was John Exter. Who was he?
- 24:00He's the one that developed that whole concept of extras pyramid.
- 24:03Oh, by the way, John Exter worked for the New York Federal
- 24:06Reserve Bank, and he only died like 22 years ago or something
- 24:09like that. So, you know, there is, you
- 24:12know, these guys, it's interesting, these guys at the
- 24:14Fed, you know, before they become fully ingrained, tend to
- 24:17be able to tell the truth. So we're going to do an update
- 24:20here. This is always one of the most
- 24:22exciting parts of the show, Brian, when we update the silver
- 24:25and gold price. And hey, we've got gold up
- 24:28$4.00, Gold 2324. This is in silver, $29.41 per
- 24:36oz, down about a dime. But I want to say thank you to
- 24:39my channel sponsor, our channel sponsor, 'cause this is our
- 24:42channel, Pendex. If you want to get your hands on
- 24:45some gold, silver or platinum, check out Pendex.
- 24:48Now I have an interesting story. Can you see on the screen the
- 24:51coin that's up there, Brian? Let me I cannot.
- 24:55OK. Oh, hold on.
- 24:56Did I forget to? I did.
- 24:58I still have Alan Greenspan right?
- 25:00He knows what well we're at at what, 29 1/2?
- 25:06And then China, right now they're a little over 33, at
- 25:09least according to what I saw on X earlier.
- 25:12Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're going to get to that one
- 25:14later. Hold on here.
- 25:15Now, do you see the the, the, the coin on this?
- 25:18OK. I apologize to you, Brian.
- 25:20I apologize to all the basement dwellers.
- 25:23I'm not going to repeat everything about pin backs.
- 25:25I told you that verbally. But do yourself a favor, throw
- 25:29pin backs into the mix next time you're going to buy gold, silver
- 25:32or platinum group metals and they can help with IRA
- 25:36conversions. And one thing about Pinbex that
- 25:40I've always found is, is you always get more metal for your
- 25:45money with Pinbex. Now, the Krugerrand used to be,
- 25:48was, was like, was like my favorite coin.
- 25:50And I think I'm falling back in love with it, Brian.
- 25:53But there's an interesting story about the Krugerrand that I want
- 25:58to share with you. The Krugerrand is in in South
- 26:02Africa is and the reason I loved it so much is my great grandpa
- 26:05was from South Africa. He was a a Dutch boar.
- 26:09But it's interesting. Yeah, but it's in.
- 26:11That's not really the interesting thing.
- 26:13The interesting thing about the boar wars, OK, which were fought
- 26:17between the Dutch and the British in South Africa and it
- 26:20was like 19 O 219 O one that they were fought over.
- 26:25Well, it's the way it the way it transpired was the Dutch had
- 26:29colonized parts of South Africa and they were near the coast.
- 26:33And then the British showed up and they were the most powerful
- 26:36country in the world. And they said, hey, you Dutch,
- 26:38get out of here. We want the land by the coast.
- 26:40You need to go more towards the interior.
- 26:43So they pushed all the Dutch into the interior.
- 26:45And these were farmers. So they farmed on the interior
- 26:48of South Africa. The Dutch did.
- 26:51One day, one of the Dutch farmers was at a Creek and
- 26:54discovered a massive amount of gold in the Creek.
- 26:57He was like, whoa, what's going on here?
- 26:59And it wound up becoming like one of the biggest gold mines at
- 27:03that time in the world. Well, then suddenly the British
- 27:06told the Dutch, hey, we changed our mind.
- 27:10We think we want to move to the interior with you as well.
- 27:13And that's what started the the Bora Wars.
- 27:16It was fought over essentially gold.
- 27:19And here I am. That's really interesting, I
- 27:22didn't know that. Well, it and you know what's?
- 27:25Hold on here. What the heck?
- 27:27OK, here we go. The Boer War was fought 1899 to
- 27:3119 O2 between Great Britain and and two Boer Republics while
- 27:36they're British. This is what's interesting.
- 27:38And then the think about this in terms of what goes on in the
- 27:40world now. While the British politicians
- 27:44claimed they were defending their suzerainity, which I have
- 27:47no idea what that means, over the South African Republic, many
- 27:52historians emphasize that the real contest was for the
- 27:56control, excuse me, of the rich with Witwater Strand gold mining
- 28:02complex. OK, This complex was the largest
- 28:05gold mining operation in the world at that time.
- 28:08And gold played a significant role in fuelling the conflict.
- 28:12So that gets me thinking like even you know it today as we as
- 28:16we look at what goes on in the world and the reasons behind a
- 28:19lot of the wars. I know even just over the
- 28:21weekend there was this clip that came out of Lindsey Graham
- 28:24talking about Ukraine and why it's so important that we defend
- 28:28Ukraine because they have trillions of dollars of
- 28:31resources and we need to make sure we keep control of those
- 28:34resources. It's interesting throughout
- 28:37history how important things like gold and other resources,
- 28:40the the, the position they play in terms of, of of, of of
- 28:45conflicts between countries. Right.
- 28:49Absolutely. Yeah.
- 28:50OK. So if you're in the United, are
- 28:53we the luckiest? Let's ask this question, Brian,
- 28:55I'll ask you this question. Are we the luckiest stackers in
- 28:58the world in the United States? The basement dweller who's
- 29:01joining us today that buys physical silver, maybe buys some
- 29:04physical gold and platinum as well.
- 29:06Are we the luckiest stackers in the world today?
- 29:10Yes, I do believe we are among the luckiest stackers in the
- 29:14world today. And the reason for that is
- 29:16because we have access to the lowest prices you can get on
- 29:22silver. You know, here in the United
- 29:26States, most of our states have a 0 tax rate, and we also have
- 29:31access to the suppressed prices from the paper traders in the
- 29:35West. So I'm like we had touched on
- 29:38earlier, the spot price for silver in China right now is
- 29:43just over $33. Here we're at 2940 or something,
- 29:49I'd say, you know, that's basically a three and a half
- 29:51dollar difference. And they're still selling lots
- 29:54of silver out of the Shanghai exchange.
- 29:57They're still selling lots of silver in China.
- 29:59So all of those folks are paying 3 1/2 dollars more per oz every
- 30:03time they want to get some silver, which really makes me
- 30:07feel good and makes me feel confident that I'm getting a
- 30:10really good deal when I'm buying it out here.
- 30:14You literally won't be able to get a better price on silver
- 30:16anywhere else. Maybe there would be some places
- 30:19that it would be comparable or the same.
- 30:23Yeah, Yeah, that's, you know, that I'm going to interject
- 30:26something. I want you to keep going, but I
- 30:27never really thought about that. Number one, there's actually two
- 30:30reasons why, Brian, that we're the luckiest stackers in the
- 30:33world. That's right, Basement dwell.
- 30:35There's not one reason, but two reasons why you and I and Brian
- 30:39are the luckiest stackers in the world, right?
- 30:41Because we're not generally having to pay any type of huge
- 30:46sales tax or some states, I think there's six or seven that
- 30:49still have sales tax or any big value added tax.
- 30:53And I'm going to show you some data here in a minute that's
- 30:55going to blow you away. When you think about what you
- 30:58what it would be like if you lived in Great Britain or some
- 31:01of these other countries, the amount of tax that you would
- 31:03have, but we don't pay. Nope, no tax, right?
- 31:06If I go if I go by one of these beautiful American silver Eagles
- 31:12at the my local coin shop, right, I'm not paying any sales
- 31:15tax. But on top of that, the bonus
- 31:17and I really appreciate you bringing that to our attention,
- 31:20Brian is the fact that that we also get the benefit by the
- 31:24artificially suppressed low prices on the COMEX.
- 31:27Thank you. Thank you Brian, you made my
- 31:30day. I'm going to go buy some silver.
- 31:31I'll. Let you come to the live stream.
- 31:33You bet. Guys, I'm going to hand this
- 31:35over to Brian. See you later.
- 31:36Bye. Going to buy some.
- 31:38Silver. I got a silver shirt on, yeah.
- 31:42That's perfect for the conversation.
- 31:46Yeah, I mean it, it's something we're we're getting the same
- 31:48prices as these banksters and, you know, that are pulling all
- 31:51these shenanigans. They're taking all the risk.
- 31:53They get busted sometimes for spoofing that they're the ones
- 31:56who are risking prison time over this.
- 31:58And you can just take access of that pricing?
- 32:02Yeah. Well, look at this, look at, I
- 32:04mean, if we go back to Pemex real quick, South African crew
- 32:07grants, I'm going to show you one 'cause I went to my off site
- 32:10storage location. I'm back in love with the crew
- 32:13grant. I, the people know that couple
- 32:14years ago it's all I talked about.
- 32:16I love the crew grant. But I mean, look, you can buy,
- 32:19let's say you buy 100 crew grants right now.
- 32:21You can buy them for $32 each at pin backs, right.
- 32:24Let me let me refresh that to make sure I've got a up to speed
- 32:27price. 3195 they lowered the price.
- 32:31That's because silver dropped by a nickel.
- 32:33But I mean, that's crazy that in the United States, just compared
- 32:39to to China, like you said, you can buy a sovereign minted
- 32:43beautiful pure silver coin for less than what they're selling
- 32:48physical whatever silver for on the Shanghai Futures Exchange in
- 32:52the Shanghai Gold Exchange. Yeah.
- 32:55It really is a blessing for us and I hope that people recognize
- 32:59that. I mean in, in Argentina they
- 33:01have a 50% tax rate on precious metals.
- 33:05Yeah, I, I had a message I'll go money fest on X about it.
- 33:08And that's what he he said was it's 50%.
- 33:12I had asked Orin about it, Orin Elbaz, the silver hermit and,
- 33:17and he had said that they have a 17% value added tax in Israel.
- 33:22So I mean they're paying a lot more in those countries than we
- 33:25are. And like you said, you know,
- 33:26the, the last, whatever it is, six or seven states that have
- 33:30taxes, I don't even think they're that high.
- 33:33So even if you're in one of those states, you're, you're not
- 33:35going to be paying as much as someone in Argentina or Israel.
- 33:39Yeah, let me, let me pull this up.
- 33:42Yeah, here we go. I asked Microsoft Copilot about
- 33:47about taxes and this is what it came back at.
- 33:49Switzerland 8.1 percent, Germany almost 20%, the United Kingdom
- 33:5520%, France 20%, Italy 22%. So think about that guys.
- 34:02Think about that. If you're an Italian and you
- 34:05want to go buy that Kruger Ant that I just showed you, right,
- 34:11for 30, let's say, let's say it's $30.00, right?
- 34:14You're going to pay another $6 in tax on top of that, right?
- 34:20So if it's $32, you're going to end up paying almost $40 to get
- 34:24yourself one ounce. And it's same thing if you're in
- 34:27the United Kingdom or France. You know, I mean, it's, it's
- 34:31really, we are really spoiled in the United States, like you
- 34:35said. I mean, and I really appreciate
- 34:36you bringing that up. Number one, we don't pay these
- 34:38taxes and in most states we don't pay any sales tax now,
- 34:42which makes no sense that they would charge sales tax on money.
- 34:46It'd be like if you went to your be like if you went to your,
- 34:49your bank to change $100 bill into five 20s and they said we
- 34:54got to charge you a sales tax on that.
- 34:56I mean, that's a whole different subject, but ridiculous that any
- 34:59states still get away with what I think is almost an illegal
- 35:02practice of charging sales tax on money.
- 35:05But there's no sales tax and we're getting these artificially
- 35:08low prices. It's it's really, really
- 35:11astounding. It really is.
- 35:13And so sometimes I think about that and, and you know, when,
- 35:16when these folks are buying in these other countries, like you
- 35:18were saying almost $40, imagine having to wait cause a lot of
- 35:23us, you know, will buy. We're looking at the premium and
- 35:27then something like that Krugerrand, you were just
- 35:28pointing out that's not a very high premium, you know, so, so
- 35:33we, we aren't going to have to wait for the price to move that
- 35:35much to potentially get our money back out of that.
- 35:38Of course, I, I'm in it for the long term.
- 35:40I, I know most stackers are. So we're just planning on
- 35:42sitting on this stuff for for years on and years, but it is a
- 35:47a much more comfortable position to be in.
- 35:50Yeah, here's here's the the Shanghai Ghost Up daily update.
- 35:55So this is Silver AG on the Shanghai Gold Exchange, $33.04
- 36:01today and the vaults there and that's a physical market are
- 36:07like near very, let's just say historically very low levels
- 36:12right below 700 tons. Yep, they're getting drained
- 36:17right now. While the comex in the LBMA are
- 36:21getting drained at the same at the same darn at the same darn
- 36:25time. What about?
- 36:26OK. So we talked about the, about
- 36:29the silver price, Brian and, and, and what does it mean,
- 36:34right, When we look at the future projections for silver
- 36:38and we hear about this unbelievable prospect of
- 36:41industrial demand for silver, which we all know is true,
- 36:44right? And there's this unbelievable
- 36:46industrial demand and there's a big deficit already right now
- 36:51has been what, the last three or four years, like 600 million oz
- 36:54deficit, cumulatively speaking. OK.
- 36:58And the missing link is in the West, the Western retail
- 37:03investor. Cause like we talked about
- 37:05earlier, they haven't spoke up. But do you think that the
- 37:07mainstream media is maybe starting to catch on to what's
- 37:11happening right now? They are starting to catch on a
- 37:15little bit and and it could really start to pick up some
- 37:19steam as more people see these articles.
- 37:22Bloomberg had recently done a report about China encouraging
- 37:27its citizens to buy silver. So so they're starting to get
- 37:30some awareness of what's going on.
- 37:32CNBC had recently released an article about gold hitting a new
- 37:36all time high. So, you know, folks who don't
- 37:39pay much attention to the market might have seen that and going,
- 37:41huh, I wonder why gold recently hit a all time high?
- 37:46And and also another guy who's who's not really mainstream, but
- 37:50but he does have a huge following here in the United
- 37:54States. Alex Jones has been talking
- 37:56about silver on X 2.3 million followers for him on there.
- 38:03He had a yeah, so a lot of people and and it it they do his
- 38:08videos, I bet get a lot of traffic.
- 38:11He had Doctor Kirk Elliott on there and they were talking
- 38:14about everything, silver, price manipulation, you know, what's
- 38:19going on with the market. And so everybody who saw that,
- 38:23you know, that's a little more awareness, kind of planting that
- 38:26seed for the first time. And you know, it wouldn't
- 38:29surprise me as the weeks and months wear on, if more
- 38:33Americans decide to start protecting a little bit of their
- 38:36wealth with some precious metals.
- 38:38Yeah, yeah, and here's I pulled up an article.
- 38:41Hopefully I got the right buttons pushed here.
- 38:43Yes, I believe I do. This is from CNBC, right?
- 38:47So that's mainstream financial media talking about another
- 38:52mainstream American source, which is Costco.
- 38:55I think all these people that are buying gold and silver at
- 38:59Costco for the excuse me, for the most part are new stackers,
- 39:04right? They're new people and yeah, we
- 39:07welcome them in, right? I mean, they, they are new to
- 39:12the silver and gold sector. Probably just starting to learn
- 39:16about it trying, you know, obviously probably realizing
- 39:20that the value of their money in the banks is going down, waking
- 39:25up to the prospect that the future doesn't look real bright
- 39:28for the dollar in moving and buying things like silver go and
- 39:31buying it at Costco. I think eventually these people
- 39:34that are buying silver and gold at Costco, a lot of them will
- 39:37wind up buying from the specialist, right, because
- 39:40people brought up bring up a good point like Costco won't buy
- 39:43your gold or silver back that they'll wind up going to some of
- 39:46the other big online bullion dealers.
- 39:49Hopefully they'll they'll they'll be fortunate enough to
- 39:52learn about my channel sponsor pin backs where they can get the
- 39:55most metal for their money. But no matter where they they
- 39:58wind up. You know, you got to figure that
- 40:01a certain portion of these new stackers are going to be
- 40:03converted into long term holders of silver and gold and, and
- 40:08especially if we get this continued upswing in mainstream
- 40:14media coverage 'cause it's not just there.
- 40:17Here's another article that I thought was really interesting.
- 40:19This is on Yahoo. Yahoo Finance's running this
- 40:22one, Yahoo Finance, which is the mainstream of mainstream, right?
- 40:28And then it's an actual article by Reuters that they're running.
- 40:32So, you know, this was yesterday warning about like we talked
- 40:36earlier, the Fed speakers, we got five Fed speakers today.
- 40:39Did I, did I show you that already?
- 40:40Did I show that? Earlier, yeah.
- 40:43What the heck are they have? Why do they have 5 fed speakers
- 40:46in one day? What are they cleaning?
- 40:49I mean I think the are the markets closed tomorrow for
- 40:51Juneteenth? I think maybe they are.
- 40:53I know the I saw somewhere somebody mentioned that the that
- 40:57the comex was closed tomorrow and was going to be closed for
- 41:02like two or three days. I don't know.
- 41:04Thank you metal Seer for that super chat my friend.
- 41:06Let me pull him up. There he is.
- 41:08Thank you metal seer. And you know what?
- 41:10Hey, another one from Metal Seer Hold.
- 41:13On. Here, he You know what?
- 41:15Thank you. So, so let's back up on
- 41:18something here and then I want to write rail on the Fed for a
- 41:20little bit, but metal Seer says. Do you have a few more minutes,
- 41:24Brian or I keeping you too long? OK.
- 41:26So that, that complicated word, let's go back here 'cause
- 41:30remember the British, when they, when they, when they wanted to
- 41:33steal all that gold from the, from the Dutch, they did, they,
- 41:39oh, shoot, hold on here. They didn't want to admit that
- 41:42they were doing it to steal the gold.
- 41:44They were. They claimed it was.
- 41:46They were defending their suzeranity.
- 41:49It's like Suzie and my wife. Oh my God.
- 41:52Thank you for pulling that up, metal sear.
- 41:55Yeah, hold on here, Yellow. Yeah, 'cause I'm like, what does
- 41:57that word mean? I was wondering the same thing.
- 42:00OK, now I don't know why I'd have spent all this time
- 42:02highlighting it for everybody. It's it's it's amazing.
- 42:05Everybody anyway. Suzeranity.
- 42:07That's why they were not trying. Just to be clear, the British
- 42:11had it was just coincidental that there was a the world's
- 42:14biggest gold mine on this land that they were trying to seize
- 42:17from the Dutch. That was just a coincidence.
- 42:19They were really trying to protect their susser nanity,
- 42:24whatever the heck that means. So let's go back and see.
- 42:27Hold on here. Can you guys see that?
- 42:29Oh, no. Bear with me.
- 42:32All right, here we go. Susser and anity.
- 42:35According to Metal Sir, a dominant state controls the
- 42:38foreign policy in some of the internal policy of another.
- 42:42OK, interesting. Otherwise sovereign state, the
- 42:46tributary state retains a certain degree of autonomy and
- 42:50independence. So the British were just trying
- 42:52to make sure that the Dutch remember that they were the ones
- 42:56who were really in charge. This.
- 42:57Is our colony. This is our.
- 43:00Colony. This is our colony.
- 43:01Yeah, Yeah. Go ahead.
- 43:05Just to touch on what you were saying about Costco.
- 43:07I, I think that you're, I would assume that you're right.
- 43:10Those are new people that I think a big thing for people
- 43:13when they're coming into the market is, is trust.
- 43:16Like who can I trust? Where can I go?
- 43:18They know that they can trust Costco.
- 43:20It's a big company. And so, you know, they're that
- 43:22they're gonna, they're gonna buy there and they will end up
- 43:26having to go to, but you know, the sources that we go to, you
- 43:29know, the places that regular stackers will go to, eventually
- 43:32they'll make their way over to them.
- 43:34They're all going to go to Pimbex.
- 43:35That's where they're going to go.
- 43:37You know, you know what's? But you know what's interesting?
- 43:40There was another article about people complaining about the
- 43:45packaging. This was more in specific to the
- 43:48silver coins as they were selling American Silver Eagles
- 43:51for a little while. Costco was and people were
- 43:54complaining that like the packages would come and the, and
- 43:57the, you know, they weren't packaged very, very well, you
- 44:01know, and I, and that made me think like, is it?
- 44:02You know, I've bought, I've done numerous transactions with pen
- 44:06backs over the last year plus. And I'm always amazed at how
- 44:10their packages come. They're like wrapped up like
- 44:12little Fort Knox, right? Like, and that's a benefit of
- 44:15working with a specialist, right?
- 44:16I mean, shipping gold and silver bars is way different than
- 44:22shipping Hershey chocolate bars, which I'm sure that that Costco
- 44:26has a, you know, that's their specialty.
- 44:28Whereas you know companies like pin Backs or the other online
- 44:31bullying dealers, they know, they know, they know how to ship
- 44:34the the metals effectively. Yeah, this is their wheelhouse.
- 44:37Absolutely. That's right.
- 44:39That's right. Oh, where was I?
- 44:40Yeah. So why is the Fed have 5:00 and
- 44:42then I'll. I'll be quick.
- 44:44My blood pressure is going up. Five fed governors speaking
- 44:48today. I mean, it's really is
- 44:50absolutely, absolutely ridiculous.
- 44:54OK, we covered that. You know what else?
- 44:56Let's touch on this, Brian. Let's talk.
- 44:59Let's talk about the gold to silver ratio.
- 45:01What are your thoughts on that right now?
- 45:03And I'll pull up a graph so people can visually see what
- 45:05you're referring to. Yeah, the gold to silver ratio
- 45:10has moved down a little bit. I think we're sitting at about
- 45:1478 to one right now if I'm correct.
- 45:17I'm I'm not sure where somewhere.
- 45:18In the mid to high seventies. And of course, you know, that's
- 45:23down from from in the 80s where it was at recently.
- 45:28You know, if we look back not that far, just in 2021, the gold
- 45:32to silver ratio had gotten down to 64 to one.
- 45:36And you know if we were to return to that today, that would
- 45:39pop the price up, you know over $36 probably about 3640, you
- 45:43know some somewhere in that neighborhood.
- 45:46And you know if you if you look back further in time, of course
- 45:49it had been a lot lower in 1980. It actually dipped below the 20
- 45:54to one ratio. And let's just say, you know, if
- 45:57we didn't even get. That on, can you see it on the
- 46:00screen right now, Brian? Oh yes, Uh huh.
- 46:02So again, in 79 we were at 23. I can't really zoom in on 80,
- 46:07but yeah, here we go. You got down to 18.96 in 1980.
- 46:13I'm gonna do the math while you're talking and see.
- 46:15What's a little under 20 to one on 1980?
- 46:19But even if we just got down to like 45 to one, you know, that
- 46:22would pop the price up to over $50.00 an ounce today.
- 46:26And, and I do feel like that's something that we could see, you
- 46:32know, why? Well, because if we, if we get
- 46:34to $50 or just over $50.00, that would be silver breaking.
- 46:39That's all time high in nominal terms.
- 46:41And that's something that we've seen gold do recently.
- 46:43Gold has hit all recent all time highs in nominal terms.
- 46:48And so I, I do feel like we could potentially see silver
- 46:52follow that, that path, you know, here in the not so distant
- 46:56future, maybe, you know, maybe in the next year, maybe.
- 46:59Oh, that's crazy talk. Brian Silver's never going to go
- 47:03up. What are you talking about?
- 47:04I I try not to get too crazy with it.
- 47:08Yeah. And if we got down to 20 to one,
- 47:11OK, which has happened here a couple times in the past, I just
- 47:14want to remember not just, you know, there it is, 18.
- 47:17That was in the 1960s. Nineteen 80 obviously it got
- 47:21below 20 at 20 to one that would be silver at $115.00 per oz and
- 47:28if you look at this chart $115.00 per oz.
- 47:32How does that make you feel anyway when you look at this
- 47:35chart if I look at this chart and somebody didn't even tell me
- 47:38what it was and said what do you think the average level was on
- 47:42this chart over time? I would say around 50 right
- 47:46about this this level here where I have my cursor.
- 47:48I mean, you know, we've been above it for a while.
- 47:50We've been below it, but let's just say 50 and a 50 to one,
- 47:55we're at a 46 that a $2300 gold. We're at a $46 per oz level 46
- 48:01dollars right right now silver and go ahead, go ahead.
- 48:05There's precedence for this. I, I mean, did this is not, you
- 48:09know, outside of reality or anything like that, you know.
- 48:13And this is a is a ratio. And so it's a difference.
- 48:16I think I'm going to explain to everybody there's a big
- 48:18difference between a ratio and like an index, right?
- 48:22Like you could say like the S&P 500 index that could go up to
- 48:27Infinity, right? But a ratio compares, compares 2
- 48:31things to each other. So it is more, and I'm not a
- 48:34statistician, but I, I, I mean, to me, it's just common sense
- 48:39that a ratio, especially when you're talking about silver and
- 48:41gold are going to, are going to stay within a certain range and
- 48:45fluctuate within that range. So that, that, you know, when we
- 48:49look at this in the range over the, over the last, how many
- 48:53years, this is probably almost 100 years, right?
- 48:56Or more than 100 years has been between, let's say 20 and 1:20,
- 49:01right? And you know, right in the,
- 49:03what's, what's in the middle between 20 and 120, you know, 50
- 49:06or 60. So, you know, this is not crazy
- 49:09talk. And I love what you said, Brian,
- 49:12and I want everybody to remember this as well.
- 49:15Let's say we got to that 50 average ratio again ratio range
- 49:20and we had $4650 per oz silver. That's the nominal all time high
- 49:26for silver, right? And Brian so keenly pointed out
- 49:31to us basement dwellers, wow, what a treat to have him on
- 49:33today. You don't have to just listen to
- 49:35me, right? He brought up something great
- 49:37and that is that gold recently had did hit a new nominal all
- 49:42time high. So silver hitting a nominal all
- 49:44time high of of of 50 dollars, $46 per oz is not like crazy
- 49:51talk, right Brian? Am I?
- 49:53Am I crazy? Not, not at all.
- 49:56I mean that this is very much in the cards.
- 49:58Yeah, yeah, very interesting. Now I got, Now I've got to show
- 50:02you this as well, 'cause this goes right with what you just
- 50:04said. Hold on here, add the stage.
- 50:07Everybody likes it. There's that guy, he's great.
- 50:09Jordan, Roy Byrne. That's not what I'm going to
- 50:11show you. I wanted to show you.
- 50:12There's the comex that was the cede in my yard with a they all
- 50:17had comex written on their foreheads.
- 50:19That's not what we're going to look at.
- 50:20They. Won't know what you're talking
- 50:22about next. Yeah, right.
- 50:24Yeah, There we go. This is what I I drew this with
- 50:27my kids markers. This is the silver rainbow.
- 50:31And it goes with what you just said, because over here you've
- 50:33got gold, right? And and to the left of of
- 50:36silver, you have copper. And I'll argue right, I'll argue
- 50:42that silver. Silver is like a, a bipolar
- 50:45metal, right? Silver's half monetary like
- 50:48gold, but silver's also half industrial like copper, right?
- 50:53And you just brought up a great point that gold, and that's up
- 50:56at the top there in that light blue I wrote right above gold.
- 50:59Gold hit an all time high in nominal terms, right?
- 51:02Oh, coincidentally, silver's other half brother copper, the
- 51:07other half of silver, the the industrial site copper also hit
- 51:11an all time high. All right.
- 51:13And there was a squeeze in the copper markets.
- 51:15It didn't get a lot of attention, but that was like
- 51:17three or four weeks ago. A few people pointed out like
- 51:20there's a squeeze in the copper market when copper shot up and
- 51:24and we know that the central banks are buying gold, but I
- 51:26would also, and there's the orange underneath it, right?
- 51:29The half brother I have written at the very bottom in, in with
- 51:33red underline 'cause it's that important.
- 51:36When you compare the fundamentals of silver to both
- 51:39copper and to gold, I would argue the fundamentals for
- 51:42silver are better than either of those metals.
- 51:45So silver and I love gold and I love copper, don't get me wrong.
- 51:48But silver, you know, whether we're looking at that gold to
- 51:51silver ratio or we're looking at just the fundamental silver has
- 51:55a lot of room to move. Absolutely.
- 51:58And that's, I'm really glad that you pointed that out.
- 52:01I cause 'cause it's, it's right there, the precedent's there.
- 52:05And, and it is a heavily industrial metal nowadays.
- 52:09And of course it still has its monetary aspects, which is, you
- 52:12know, why we all hang on to it. And so, so yeah, it's, it's very
- 52:17much in the cards. I mean, we could see it.
- 52:21It's all, it's all time high in nominal terms, just like we saw
- 52:24with copper and gold. I I really do believe that.
- 52:27Yeah. And let's and let's emphasize
- 52:29nominal right versus and that just means that the number right
- 52:35inflation adjusted because you know $50.00 in 1980.
- 52:41I've heard all types of different estimates and today it
- 52:43depends on how you want to calculate what the inflation
- 52:45rates are. But you know, well, north of
- 52:48$100 in today's dollars is what silver would have to hit the hit
- 52:53a an inflation adjusted all time high.
- 52:56I've heard numbers as high as $185 per oz to to reach a new
- 53:01inflation adjusted all time high for the price of silver.
- 53:05Brian, we got 700 people all around the world joining us
- 53:08today. What did I forget to ask you?
- 53:10Is there anything I forgot to ask you or to talk about or
- 53:13anything you want to bring up? And then I want to bring people
- 53:16out to your channel real quickly to show them where they can
- 53:20learn more about you. OK, you bet.
- 53:22Well, everyone, thanks for joining us.
- 53:24It's great to have you here in the basement.
- 53:26You know, one thing I just wanted to touch on for folks to
- 53:29think about is a lot of times you'll see people posting
- 53:33online, you know, things that say thing like, oh, but you
- 53:35know, Silver's this useless relic.
- 53:37It's, it's something from the old days that it's not relevant
- 53:41anymore. And, and the thing that's crazy
- 53:44to me about that is, is they're, they're using a cell phone or a
- 53:48computer that has silver in it to post these messages.
- 53:53I, I mean, silver is in virtually all electronics that
- 53:56we have today in the modern age. It is the most conductive metal.
- 54:01It's used in electrical contacts, printed circuit
- 54:04boards, it's in TV's, remote controls, computers,
- 54:08smartphones, electric cars, solar panels.
- 54:12It's even in circuit Breakers. I mean, it's in virtually
- 54:16everything today and, and it's it's extremely useful.
- 54:21So that it's just something that I just wanted to touch on.
- 54:24Yeah, silver is everywhere. Silver is I heard one of my
- 54:29viewers brought up a great point and I'm and I can see this
- 54:34making sense when it comes to silver, is silver the new oil,
- 54:39right? I mean, 100 years ago right now,
- 54:42oil was was not really all that useful to the world.
- 54:45But then suddenly with the internal combustion engine and
- 54:49different refining process, I'm sorry, oil kind of powered the
- 54:53last 100 years in the world. Now as we're moving into the
- 54:58green energy revolution, as we're moving into the
- 55:02electrification of the planet, as we're moving into the
- 55:06technology revolution, what's the common thread amongst all
- 55:11these things going on? It's silver, right?
- 55:14I mean, and, and, and this really was like a boom wake up
- 55:18call for me moment when I'm like, you know what, this guy's
- 55:22got a point. Silver could really be for the
- 55:25next 100 years, what oil was for the previous hundred years.
- 55:30And I'm not saying oil's going away, but he brought up this
- 55:32point like, you know, people would heat their houses with
- 55:35coal 100 years ago and they would cook on wood stoves and
- 55:40they would, you know, and then oil came around and, and, and
- 55:43natural gas, but you know, but, and changed everything in the
- 55:46world, right? Steam powered tractors back then
- 55:49and all this. And now, you know, now as we
- 55:51move into this next 100 years, I don't know, Brian, is it just me
- 55:55or I mean, it feels like to me that like with with the green
- 55:57energy revolution, with the technology revolution, that that
- 56:02the common thread I see amongst all of those kind of things that
- 56:06are transpiring is silver. Absolutely.
- 56:09I mean, you're going to want that most conductive metal for
- 56:13for all of these devices, for all of these products.
- 56:16And it really isn't in a changing world that is
- 56:20modernizing and electrifying you.
- 56:23You need silver for that. So yeah, that that's very
- 56:26insightful that that guy brought that up.
- 56:28Just like oil, you know? Yeah, it could be the, it could
- 56:30be the new oil. I mean, it, it really possibly
- 56:33could. I want to bring everybody out to
- 56:35the, the, the the fastest growing YouTube channel focused
- 56:42on bullion. This is Brian's channel.
- 56:45Everybody, I want you to go out there and subscribe Mountain
- 56:47Bullion Entertainment, tell them about like what is it?
- 56:51Once a week or so you put out a new video.
- 56:53Brian, what's your your schedule?
- 56:56Yeah, I do video a week and, you know, sometimes they're videos
- 57:01that are just providing information about different
- 57:04silver or gold coins or rounds. Sometimes I'm doing interviews,
- 57:10sometimes I'm doing things that are more kind of for fun, just
- 57:12for entertainment that are, you know, still associated with gold
- 57:14or silver. And Yep, I would appreciate
- 57:18support and I I just love the basement dwellers and I
- 57:21appreciate you showing my channel.
- 57:23Yeah, you, you, you put out some great stuff.
- 57:25And I want to I see there on the screen as well our friend Oren
- 57:28the silver hermit. I know you have him on Oren's in
- 57:31Israel and he's a good friend of yours and a good friend of the
- 57:35basement as well. Very smart guy.
- 57:38I watched this video last night and found it very interesting.
- 57:44There's under there was a, a mine, a silver mine that was
- 57:48built in the middle of Lake Superior.
- 57:51And Brian kind of goes through the history of what happened.
- 57:54It was in the middle of a lake. And and that's just one example
- 57:58of some of the interesting little subjects that you cover
- 58:02when it in regards to the silver and the gold markets.
- 58:07Yeah. Thank you very much.
- 58:11Pretty interesting that that mine exists you guys.
- 58:14They would not be able to pull off mining under that lake.
- 58:17The current prices we have for silver right now in my.
- 58:19Opinion. Absolutely.
- 58:22OK, guys, hold on Susie, hold on.
- 58:25Oh, you know what? Hold on a minute, Susie's.
- 58:27Are we trying to get a certain number of thumbs up?
- 58:29Let me see if Susie has the walkie-talkie on.
- 58:33Susie, is your walkie on? Hold on a second.
- 58:40Yeah, yeah, No sweat. Where are we at?
- 58:42I can't see it. OK, we're going to ring the gong
- 58:54here, Brian, because it's a special day you've been on with
- 58:57us. We need, we need just like 12
- 58:59more thumbs up. Come on, guys, give it a thumbs
- 59:02up. What are?
- 59:02You thumbs up, guys. And we'll ring the golden gong.
- 59:08I'm not a, I'm not a, I'm not a gold stacker.
- 59:11But I have the solid gold. OK?
- 59:13Susie says we have it. I like to joke around that the
- 59:16golden gong and and we'll ring it three times for all your
- 59:20support. And seriously, what?
- 59:25OK, I think it is OK. Oh, that's loud.
- 59:32Now that I have earbuds and I know what people complain.
- 59:37See how that resonates, Brian? Isn't that cool?
- 59:40All right, cool. I I love the GOG.
- 59:42Yeah, that was from our friend Stu out on the East Coast.
- 59:45Sent that to me, the golden gong.
- 59:47Brian, on behalf of myself and everybody who's joined us today,
- 59:51thank you. OK, It's been great talking to
- 59:53you. You gave us some unique
- 59:55perspective and angles on what you see going on in the silver
- 1:00:00and gold market. Of course, we're going to look
- 1:00:02forward to seeing you back here. Again, I want to remind
- 1:00:05everybody, please support our channel sponsors, right Pin
- 1:00:08Becks. Pi MB EX first Mining gold and
- 1:00:12Fortuna Silver, but I also want you to go out to Mountain
- 1:00:17Bullion Entertainment and subscribe there as well.
- 1:00:21Support Brian. He puts his heart into this like
- 1:00:24we all do. Brian, thank you and we'll look
- 1:00:27forward to seeing you next time. Hey, thanks a lot for having me.
- 1:00:30I look forward to speaking with you next time.
- 1:00:32See you buddy. Have a great day.
