- 0:01Speaker 1: John Lennon, John Lennon's birthday. He would have been 86
- 0:05Speaker 1: born October 9th. He is not the oldest of the Beatles.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Ringo turned 86 a couple of months ago. So we'll
- 0:11Speaker 1: do some Lennon, some Beatles today. Yeah. So, OK, how'd
- 0:15Speaker 1: that happen? Not that I care because I mean, the Beatles.
- 0:18Speaker 1: The vociferousness and degree of reaction. I say what I say.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I love it.
- 0:22Speaker 1: People like it great.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I love it. I love it. I love it watching
- 0:25Speaker 2: you get in trouble on X. I get the biggest
- 0:26Speaker 2: kick out of it. I'm like, oh, my buddy's in trouble. Oh,
- 0:28Speaker 2: my buddy's in hot water.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Possibly careless.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I mean, and a lot of people are responding to
- 0:34Speaker 2: your tweet. This is what is called... A ratio when
- 0:40Speaker 2: you just put two little words down. It was announced yesterday.
- 0:44Speaker 2: The Pentagon said it will live stream the firing squad
- 0:47Speaker 2: execution of this monster, Nadel Malik Hassan. You just reposted
- 0:53Speaker 2: the AP announcement. All you said was, you know, superb decision.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Here come the. Let me read some of the comments. Oh, Lord.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Just for the Mark Davis fans. Sure. Here's Farrah writes,
- 1:08Speaker 2: another snuff film fan that gets aroused thinking about innocent
- 1:13Speaker 2: kids being exposed to this. Mark Davis, I never knew
- 1:17Speaker 2: how many of you pervs are out there.
- 1:20Speaker 1: You know what? If these people took 30 seconds to
- 1:24Speaker 1: post something, I'll take 10 seconds and reply.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Get some control over your kids, dummy.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Don't let them have a laptop at 1 o'clock on
- 1:33Speaker 1: December 3rd.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Oh, no, no, no. But they want to be their kids' friends.
- 1:36Speaker 2: They don't care about that. They're not going to parent.
- 1:38Speaker 2: God forbid they parent. Here's another one. MAGA Hunter. Ooh,
- 1:42Speaker 2: they're hunting MAGA. You defend a pedophile on the daily, Mark.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Stop it.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Your critical thinking skills... Boring.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Warped.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Yeah, boring, boring.
- 1:52Speaker 1: And by the way, disagreeing with me is cool.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I like it.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I engage with it. I give space to it. But
- 2:01Speaker 1: I'm tired of a-holes. I'm tired of jerks. I'm tired
- 2:04Speaker 1: of irrelevant people.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Well, I'm tired of people who put the bad guys
- 2:08Speaker 2: elevated over the good guys. This is a great Rorschach test.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Watch the people who are more upset about Nadel Hassan
- 2:17Speaker 2: being assassinated on a live stream than they are his
- 2:21Speaker 2: victims at Fort Hood. The families who had to bury
- 2:24Speaker 2: their loved ones because this coward went in there and
- 2:28Speaker 2: executed our hero soldiers. This is what's—and we see it
- 2:34Speaker 2: over and over and over again, whether it's this monstrous
- 2:38Speaker 2: child killer— or Luigi Mangione or Tyler Robinson or Nadel Hassan.
- 2:47Speaker 2: They're more concerned about the sensibilities involving their lives than
- 2:53Speaker 2: they are their victims. In fact, hell, they celebrate the
- 2:58Speaker 2: killing of their victims. UnitedHealthcare CEO, hey, healthcare bad. Now,
- 3:04Speaker 2: let me give you a thoughtful objection to the way
- 3:07Speaker 2: you and I feel about this live stream execution.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Because it does exist. Because what you've described is exactly true.
- 3:14Speaker 1: There are some people, I mentioned them, and I think
- 3:16Speaker 1: you're about to as well, who are totally good with
- 3:17Speaker 1: the death penalty. totally good with this guy getting a
- 3:21Speaker 1: firing squad, but they just get real squirrely about live
- 3:25Speaker 1: streaming it. And I'm prepared to hear that.
- 3:27Speaker 2: And so, but anyway, so well, and I will admit
- 3:29Speaker 2: when I first heard it, I thought, Ooh, that's a
- 3:32Speaker 2: little much for me. That's a lot spicy. That's spicy.
- 3:35Speaker 2: But look, but for decades, we keep hearing people say
- 3:39Speaker 2: we ought to televise executions as a deterrent. So now
- 3:43Speaker 2: along comes the Trump administration. Oh, how about that? They
- 3:46Speaker 2: do it. They're going to do it. So they fulfill
- 3:50Speaker 2: something that we've all said to each other for years
- 3:53Speaker 2: and years. Trump then does it. Hegseth comes along and says, OK,
- 3:57Speaker 2: we're going to. And then all of a sudden everybody
- 3:59Speaker 2: gets squeamish. Spare me the righteous indignation. But here's Joe Kent. Now,
- 4:04Speaker 2: you know, Joe Kent, right? Served in office. He's a
- 4:09Speaker 2: former military guy. John Bader. What's that?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Trump hater?
- 4:14Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Was he a candidate for something he ran for?
- 4:17Speaker 2: He was. He was a– he's a never-Trumper. So there's those–
- 4:21Speaker 2: but he served his country with honor and distinction. Respect, respect.
- 4:24Speaker 2: He wrote what you just said about that middle ground.
- 4:28Speaker 2: He said, there's no doubt Hassan deserves to die. His
- 4:31Speaker 2: crimes were demonic and unforgivable. Death by firing squad is
- 4:34Speaker 2: borderline too merciful. But broadcasting his execution is beneath the
- 4:40Speaker 2: dignity and decency of our nation. Americans will use violence
- 4:45Speaker 2: if and when justified, but we do not rejoice in it.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Kill him swiftly and silently. Streaming his execution, he writes,
- 4:55Speaker 2: is not just a strain on our morality. It also
- 4:58Speaker 2: gives the terrorists free propaganda. that they will use to
- 5:02Speaker 2: radicalize and recruit more terrorists.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Now they'll really dislike us.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Now they'll really hate us, Mark.
- 5:07Speaker 1: These people have something wrong. These people, other than that,
- 5:10Speaker 1: we would have.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Gotten Christmas cards. Yeah, we were okay. We were going
- 5:12Speaker 2: to have dinner with them.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Here's what's wrong. I totally get what somebody might be thinking,
- 5:17Speaker 1: but here's why they're wrong. People who look at it
- 5:19Speaker 1: and go that this is to celebrate it or sensationalize
- 5:23Speaker 1: it or to be able to watch it and drink
- 5:25Speaker 1: six beers and go, yeah, okay. That's not what anybody's
- 5:28Speaker 1: talking about or what anybody's advocating. This is a very
- 5:31Speaker 1: public display of imagery that makes clear in an unmistakable way,
- 5:36Speaker 1: in a unique way that only live streaming can, makes
- 5:40Speaker 1: abundantly clear what we do to monsters like Nidal Hasan.
- 5:44Speaker 1: It doesn't mean everybody has to like it. It doesn't
- 5:46Speaker 1: mean everybody has to watch it. But the notion that
- 5:48Speaker 1: this is coarse, that this is vulgar, that this is
- 5:51Speaker 1: beneath our society, all of that, just no. That's... They
- 5:55Speaker 1: don't like it, and they're trying to make it seem
- 5:57Speaker 1: like it's something that debases everybody.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You know what's beneath our dignity and decency? Ambushing our
- 6:04Speaker 2: soldiers at Fort Hood. You are correct. That's beneath us.
- 6:08Speaker 2: So spare me. And incidentally, yes, Joe Kent. Former Trump supporter,
- 6:13Speaker 2: Green Beret. I believe his wife was actually killed in battle.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure that's Joe Cannon. I remember. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:20Speaker 2: But he broke with Trump over Iran. I mean, he
- 6:24Speaker 2: ran twice as a pro-Trump Republican for Washington's 3rd Congressional District.
- 6:29Speaker 1: That's right.
- 6:30Speaker 2: But he lost both general elections. to the Marie Glucencamp Perez. Oh, boy,
- 6:35Speaker 2: she's a doozy.
- 6:36Speaker 1: That's a lot of syllables.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, and she's a lot of syllables. That's a
- 6:40Speaker 2: good way to describe her. And he was... Trump appointed
- 6:44Speaker 2: him to serve as the director of National Counterterrorism Center.
- 6:46Speaker 1: That's right. So when he gets that gig and had
- 6:50Speaker 1: been a Trump fan and then turns on him, that
- 6:53Speaker 1: is the way to get invited to 53 cocktail parties
- 6:56Speaker 1: and get 12 segments on cable news.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I know. I know. Well, we're going to have fun
- 6:59Speaker 2: with this on the show. I think you and I
- 7:01Speaker 2: are on solid ground on this. Now, where in the world—
- 7:05Speaker 2: is James Tallarico.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Mark, I've gotten the flu. Look, I've got heart disease.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I won't miss 12 days. I'm thinking, do you know
- 7:17Speaker 2: one of my kids last night? Now here's my new
- 7:19Speaker 2: crisis with my blockage.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Yes.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Okay, because we're never going to hear enough about my blockage.
- 7:25Speaker 2: By the way, 52% in case you're keeping score at home.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I've got 52% of the Widowmaker, which is moderate, not severe,
- 7:31Speaker 2: no stent. I'm exercising, dieting, doing all the right things.
- 7:35Speaker 2: My kid says, what are you afraid of, Dad? I said,
- 7:38Speaker 2: I'm not afraid of dying. I'm afraid of being home alone.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I don't want to be Lindsey Graham. That's what I'm
- 7:42Speaker 2: afraid of. I don't want to be home alone watching
- 7:44Speaker 2: The Five and flopping around on the floor like a fish.
- 7:47Speaker 2: That's what I don't want.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Oh, Lord.
- 7:49Speaker 2: So my son said, well, that's what I want. This
- 7:51Speaker 2: is my mind. This is how my mind works. You
- 7:53Speaker 2: know me. I do. I go to dark places. My
- 7:57Speaker 2: kid says, well, Dad, you know what you need to get?
- 7:59Speaker 2: You need to get one of those LifeLock buttons. I said,
- 8:03Speaker 2: excuse me?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Life alert.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Not life lock. Life alert. You need a life alert
- 8:12Speaker 2: button so that if you go down, I said, you
- 8:16Speaker 2: want me to strap a button around like I'm falling
- 8:19Speaker 2: and I can't get up?
- 8:22Speaker 1: Maybe the most famous commercial of all time.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Listen, chat my best friend Ziggy over at Muse and
- 8:30Speaker 2: chat GPT. They tell me to wear my Apple watch
- 8:33Speaker 2: all the time. What's that going to do, tell me
- 8:34Speaker 2: I'm having a heart attack? I don't think the Apple
- 8:37Speaker 2: Watch does that, does it?
- 8:40Speaker 1: You're the one who has one, and I never will,
- 8:41Speaker 1: so you tell me what the thing does.
- 8:43Speaker 2: I have it, but then I'm like you. It keeps
- 8:45Speaker 2: buzzing on my wrist all the time.
- 8:47Speaker 1: No, but the life alert thing, it is something you
- 8:50Speaker 1: can have in your house.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Just a button.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Perhaps infirm, have mobility issues. The I've fallen and I
- 9:02Speaker 1: can't get up ad was enormously effective because if grandma
- 9:06Speaker 1: does fall and can't get up, you've got to be–
- 9:09Speaker 1: so she's got to be wearing it kind of like
- 9:10Speaker 1: a pendant. It's just something you have on you.
- 9:14Speaker 2: And I'm not 97. I feel like I'm acting like
- 9:17Speaker 2: I'm an old– I'm like, oh, I'm going to have
- 9:18Speaker 2: my life alert. I don't know. So maybe– but maybe
- 9:21Speaker 2: it's not a bad idea.
- 9:25Speaker 1: And you'd be back in fewer than 13 days.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Oh, that's my point. You've had the flu before. Of course.
- 9:32Speaker 2: They're claiming it's the flu. This is one heck of
- 9:35Speaker 2: a flu. My gosh. He hasn't had an appearance since
- 9:39Speaker 2: I think I saw September, is it 28th?
- 9:42Speaker 1: And did Ed Morrissey say that somebody else say that
- 9:47Speaker 1: there's nothing on his calendar moving forward even? And maybe
- 9:50Speaker 1: they've held that in abeyance waiting for him. to... His
- 9:54Speaker 1: campaign has said, you'll be back in action over the weekend. So,
- 9:58Speaker 1: all right, we'll see. Meanwhile, Ted Cruz has him on
- 10:02Speaker 1: a milk carton.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Well, we're going to see what happens. I mean, and
- 10:07Speaker 2: then here in New York, I've been in New York
- 10:08Speaker 2: for a couple days, and.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I'm glad you're not in Tampa. I mean, they're building
- 10:15Speaker 1: an ark.
- 10:15Speaker 2: There's a guy with a beard building an ark down there.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I mean, I'm ready for What's his name?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Isaias? I would call it Isaias, but Isaias.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah, don't, don't, Mexico.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Cynthia, he's like, it tells me it must be different.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Cynthia Erzegarra is saying, yeah, yeah, I love it.
- 10:32Speaker 1: But it's mostly Panama City, Destin. But we're getting a
- 10:36Speaker 1: ton of rain. But it'll have impact across the entire
- 10:39Speaker 1: Gulf of America.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Oh, no, I was getting all kinds of alerts last
- 10:42Speaker 2: night about Pinellas County, rain, flood alerts, blah, blah, blah. Mm-hmm. Anyway,
- 10:46Speaker 2: here in New York, a shooting yesterday involving an illegal,
- 10:51Speaker 2: another ICE shooting. Mom Donnie wastes no time. He stands
- 10:56Speaker 2: up and says ICE needs to be abolished. This is terrible.
- 11:00Speaker 2: They're just killing our people.
- 11:02Speaker 1: They make us less safe. They make us less safe.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Have you seen the facts about what's behind the guy?
- 11:08Speaker 2: This is a man from the Dominican Republic with an
- 11:12Speaker 2: arrest record as long as your arm. He's got a
- 11:17Speaker 2: criminal conviction for grand larceny, multiple prior arrests for assault, robbery,
- 11:24Speaker 2: drug possession, weapons possession. Oh, Mark, in case that hasn't
- 11:29Speaker 2: gotten your attention, he's associated with the Trinitarios gang, the
- 11:33Speaker 2: notorious gang who brutally shot a Customs and Border Patrol
- 11:38Speaker 2: officer last year. The guy was arrested by the NYPD
- 11:43Speaker 2: December 7, 2023. but was released into the community a
- 11:48Speaker 2: few days later. By the sanctuary city policies that Democrats
- 11:53Speaker 2: love that puts every one of us at risk. Again,
- 11:57Speaker 2: spare me your stupid righteous indignation. And the guy's going
- 12:01Speaker 2: to survive. I'm glad he's alive. I'm glad the five-year-old
- 12:04Speaker 2: that was in the car with him is alive. Kick
- 12:07Speaker 2: his butt out of the country and shut up, Mom Donnie,
- 12:10Speaker 2: you nasty, vicious anti-Semite.
- 12:13Speaker 1: He's been a horrible guy. Doubling down on the Trump.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Sweet.
- 12:17Speaker 1: On October 7th, he gave us a handful of words about, oh, yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 1: so sad about October 7th. But then three big paragraphs
- 12:24Speaker 1: of how it's Gaza in genocide. And then he eats
- 12:26Speaker 1: at a Palestinian restaurant the night of October 7th. Dude,
- 12:29Speaker 1: you don't have to hit me over the head with
- 12:30Speaker 1: a brick. He is a Jew-hater. and a terrorist sympathizer,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and so is that Abdul El-Sayed. Did you see his
- 12:36Speaker 1: debate with Mike Rogers? Refusing to condemn Hamas. These people
- 12:39Speaker 1: are there. They're in front of us.
- 12:41Speaker 2: They're in front of us. Are we going to put
- 12:42Speaker 2: them in the Senate? They're open about it. They don't
- 12:44Speaker 2: hide it. Abdul El-Sayed wouldn't say who was worse. Iran
- 12:51Speaker 2: or Israel wouldn't take a side because they hate Israel.
- 12:57Speaker 2: They hate Israel. They loathe Jews. They are despicable anti-Semites.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Everybody in the world knows it. And on that happy note,
- 13:06Speaker 2: thank you for the advice I just got from Dallas. Yes,
- 13:09Speaker 2: the Apple Watch can detect a fall and will ask
- 13:12Speaker 2: you if you want to call 911. The problem with
- 13:14Speaker 2: that is I'm going to want to call 911 all
- 13:15Speaker 2: the time. I'll call regularly.
- 13:18Speaker 1: You'll get a little heartburn.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I got them on speed dial. I got a little gas.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I think it's the big one. Denise, I'm coming. Come on.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Let's go. So we'll see how it goes. Happy weekend.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Keep it together, buddy. Keep it together. Hey, today's M &
- 13:31Speaker 1: M we're going to do is sort of wrap up
- 13:32Speaker 1: some stuff in the news. But then with you fresh
- 13:34Speaker 1: back from Salem, Massachusetts, we're going to do a little
- 13:37Speaker 1: segment on what it's like to travel historically and see
- 13:40Speaker 1: some places where amazing things have happened today on M &
- 13:42Speaker 1: M Extra.
- 13:52Speaker 2: And you want to try American? Because American's going to Starlink.
- 13:55Speaker 2: United's going to Starlink. These airlines are offering status matches.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I went through that. Let me share that with you
- 14:00Speaker 2: today on M & M Extras. So, travelers, you're going
- 14:03Speaker 2: to want to tune in. Apple, Spotify, YouTube at noon Eastern,
- 14:06Speaker 2: 11 Central.
