- 0:00Speaker 1: What did you send me here? Eight four, two, five
- 0:02Speaker 1: four or seven to seven? What up?
- 0:04Speaker 2: Rome?
- 0:05Speaker 1: As a parent, do you think it's easier to raise
- 0:07Speaker 1: a boy than a girl?
- 0:10Speaker 3: Uh?
- 0:11Speaker 4: Yeah, one hundred percent. It's easier to raise a boy
- 0:13Speaker 4: than a girl.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Why why would you ask me that question? Boys are
- 0:20Speaker 1: far easier to raise than girls. Absolutely, especially with today's
- 0:24Speaker 1: drama filled social media. Everybody wants to be an influencer.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Nonsentence.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say it's one hundred percent easier to
- 0:31Speaker 1: raise a boy than a girl, especially especially in today's society.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Maybe thirty years ago as a fifty to fifty about
- 0:40Speaker 1: the same. But no, all right, eightpot two four, seven
- 0:43Speaker 1: to seven. Somebody was asking me what exactly? Did they
- 0:46Speaker 1: ask me?
- 0:47Speaker 5: Hey?
- 0:47Speaker 6: Rome?
- 0:48Speaker 5: Uh?
- 0:48Speaker 1: They said, hey Rome, as a parent, do you think
- 0:50Speaker 1: it's easier to raise a boy or than a girl?
- 0:53Speaker 1: One hundred percent? It's easier to raise a boy than
- 0:55Speaker 1: a girl, especially with the social media?
- 0:58Speaker 4: Uh, good morning, How what's going on?
- 1:00Speaker 5: Yes? Oh my gosh, year olds? So they the girl
- 1:04Speaker 5: is so much harder to deal with, knowing I have
- 1:09Speaker 5: a sixteen year old, and I started over and I
- 1:12Speaker 5: had now I have a two year old. It's so
- 1:14Speaker 5: much easier than my sixteen year old. You know, they
- 1:19Speaker 5: have the difference, But you are right, and that's society.
- 1:23Speaker 2: She wants her family, but in ten she wants her tat,
- 1:26Speaker 2: she wants all this stuff.
- 1:28Speaker 7: And I'm like, and my nephews are so different, and
- 1:31Speaker 7: I'm like, I don't want none of that. I'm just
- 1:33Speaker 7: like I And then I'm having another girl, and I'm like,
- 1:36Speaker 7: I'm not the hospital for I wanted another boys.
- 1:39Speaker 2: But boys are terrible, don't get me wrong. But girls,
- 1:45Speaker 2: their attitude, their attitude for me.
- 1:47Speaker 4: Do you let me ask you this question though.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Do you think that in the eighties girls were harder
- 1:53Speaker 1: to raise the boys.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think so either. I think today's today, yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Because they were raised different. It's like, okay, they know
- 2:04Speaker 2: what they have to do, you know, you know, so
- 2:08Speaker 2: they were trying different. It's and then it's the mother
- 2:11Speaker 2: that's that's you know, teaching them too.
- 2:15Speaker 7: So okay, I mean it comes with it starts from home,
- 2:19Speaker 7: like they say.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So, I agree with you, but I think I think
- 2:22Speaker 1: it's far worse today for for for girls to raise
- 2:25Speaker 1: girls just because of just because of social media, just
- 2:27Speaker 1: because of what's going on with social.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Media and all the drama.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But he says, she's saying like this boy, yeah so much,
- 2:35Speaker 2: so much.
- 2:36Speaker 4: A right, appreciate it?
- 2:39Speaker 2: You do.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I think she's right. I think.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Before I think when it comes to raising kids, before
- 2:47Speaker 1: social media, girls were probably easier or probably about the
- 2:51Speaker 1: same as boys. But after social media, it's probably much
- 2:55Speaker 1: harder to raise girls. Talking about raising boys raising girls,
- 2:58Speaker 1: which one is tougher because we'ren't what's going on, Coromeo.
- 3:01Speaker 8: So you're still talking about the girls or the boys easier?
- 3:05Speaker 4: Yeah, what's up?
- 3:07Speaker 8: But like, in what aspects are.
- 3:09Speaker 5: We talking easier?
- 3:10Speaker 8: Because I have four boys, I don't have daughters, but
- 3:14Speaker 8: I do know my friend she has all the girls.
- 3:17Speaker 8: No no sense. So I'm like, you know, comparing apples
- 3:21Speaker 8: to apples. But it's like, in what aspects are they easier?
- 3:24Speaker 8: Do you think the boys?
- 3:27Speaker 5: Oh?
- 3:27Speaker 4: Well, I just think boys bring less drama to the party.
- 3:30Speaker 1: They might bring more chaos and more headaches and more
- 3:34Speaker 1: nonsense in a sense of because they do goofy things,
- 3:38Speaker 1: you know, and they get in, they get into you know,
- 3:41Speaker 1: they jump around a lot, so to speak, and get
- 3:45Speaker 1: in the messages. But women just bring emotional drama to
- 3:47Speaker 1: the table for no reason all the time.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I mean, you know you women.
- 3:51Speaker 8: Are emotional blacky, I need that emotional drama, I know
- 3:57Speaker 8: what I'm like, it's so fun here, like so like
- 4:00Speaker 8: my boys are so bored. Well, yeah, they're boring. I
- 4:02Speaker 8: guess that is that is easier, right, because they're boring.
- 4:05Speaker 8: But uh, they're expressive, like the food like she was
- 4:08Speaker 8: talking to the girl earlier was talking about they want
- 4:10Speaker 8: the girls want a tattoo is this you know? But
- 4:13Speaker 8: the boys they eat a lot. And then also like
- 4:16Speaker 8: you know, you can go to like the sort like
- 4:18Speaker 8: Forever twenty one and like get you know, a kew
- 4:21Speaker 8: outfit for a reasonable price, but the boys they want
- 4:23Speaker 8: like that name brand.
- 4:25Speaker 2: That's you know what, You're right.
- 4:26Speaker 4: I'm not going to argue with you. You're absolutely right,
- 4:29Speaker 4: but I was gonna say, you know how you know
- 4:31Speaker 4: how you women.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Are with your emotional drama, and then you had to
- 4:34Speaker 1: say that's what I missed, emotional dramas.
- 4:37Speaker 8: I think that's what I'm walking in my household is
- 4:40Speaker 8: because it's like I'm like, man, like whatever her households
- 4:43Speaker 8: she's like so annoyed about. They're just it's so frustrating
- 4:46Speaker 8: for her. But like, you know, I mean, I'm like, wow,
- 4:48Speaker 8: it's so alive over here.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Already.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Four two five, four seven seven. Somebody asked me if
- 4:56Speaker 1: it was easier to raise a boy or a girl,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and I would say yes, in today's society, it's easier
- 5:04Speaker 1: to raise a boy than it is to raise a girl.
- 5:07Speaker 1: But social media really does screw uh, you know, really
- 5:10Speaker 1: does throw a monkey wrench into the program with all
- 5:13Speaker 1: these girls trying to be you know, influencers or never
- 5:17Speaker 1: getting a break from the drama of just being a girl,
- 5:20Speaker 1: you know.
- 5:21Speaker 4: And and this.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Is what somebody said, Hey, rom that girl who just
- 5:25Speaker 1: called talking about she has all boys and her friend
- 5:28Speaker 1: has all girls. Did she say she misses the drama
- 5:32Speaker 1: of being a girl. Yeah, that's what she said. That
- 5:37Speaker 1: and that, and that's why I say.
- 5:39Speaker 4: It's not it's it's harder to raise girls.
- 5:45Speaker 1: But part of the problem is, as it comes to this,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I think there's a lot of moms out there that
- 5:52Speaker 1: like the drama that they missed that high school, that
- 5:56Speaker 1: popular girl, that mean girl that this boy likes, that
- 6:00Speaker 1: boy type drama that is created.
- 6:04Speaker 4: And I think I think there's a lot especially in Rosdale.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I think a lot of those moms live vicariously through
- 6:10Speaker 1: the through the drama of their girl.
- 6:13Speaker 4: You know, I think they like it, you know. But yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 4: but I but I do.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I do want to say this though, I do think
- 6:21Speaker 1: that it was it has changed.
- 6:25Speaker 4: I think that raising raising kids and so.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Let's say the seventies, the eighties, even the nineties was
- 6:32Speaker 1: uh was probably about the same no matter what gender
- 6:35Speaker 1: they were. But once we've reached this internet era and
- 6:39Speaker 1: this social media era and this influencer era, and this
- 6:42Speaker 1: idea that these girls cannot get away from the drama
- 6:45Speaker 1: at school because it's all over social media. Their boyfriend
- 6:48Speaker 1: went out with this girl or was hanging out with
- 6:50Speaker 1: that girl, and that just is thrown in their face
- 6:52Speaker 1: because they're always following each other. I think that's really
- 6:55Speaker 1: when it's changed that there, uh, that girls are harder.
- 7:02Speaker 4: To raise, all righty four two five, four seven to seven?
- 7:06Speaker 4: Uh what did he say?
- 7:07Speaker 2: I mean?
- 7:07Speaker 4: And this is uh.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Uh yeah, yeah, so I don't I don't know. I
- 7:18Speaker 1: just think boys, I mean, even though boys eat more,
- 7:21Speaker 1: boys are are a little less dramatic. They might you know,
- 7:26Speaker 1: you might want to up your insurance because your boys
- 7:28Speaker 1: but yeah, their girls are far harder to raise. Somebody
- 7:32Speaker 1: asked me if it was easier to raise boys or girls, Right,
- 7:35Speaker 1: it's gotta be boys, especially in twenty twenty six, Corny,
- 7:38Speaker 1: How what's going on?
- 7:39Speaker 5: Hey, Romeo, I just want to say I agree with you.
- 7:42Speaker 6: I have two daughters and a son, and he's in
- 7:45Speaker 6: the middle.
- 7:47Speaker 2: That kid, he's so easy. The girls.
- 7:50Speaker 6: I take blood pressure medication.
- 7:52Speaker 2: So you now, how old they get older?
- 7:56Speaker 6: It doesn't get any better.
- 7:58Speaker 4: How old are your daughters.
- 8:00Speaker 6: Twenty two now and sixteen and my son's nineteen.
- 8:03Speaker 1: At what point did the daughters become harder to raise?
- 8:06Speaker 1: At what age?
- 8:08Speaker 2: I say, around when they started in middle school?
- 8:10Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, yeah, okay.
- 8:12Speaker 1: They were just sweet angels from when they were born
- 8:15Speaker 1: till about what ten to eleven?
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yeah? Okay, yeah, I love them so much, so but.
- 8:25Speaker 4: I get it. I get it hard.
- 8:26Speaker 2: They are hard, and.
- 8:28Speaker 4: You said they're still hard even. How's the twenty one
- 8:30Speaker 4: year old now? Does she still live with you?
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:33Speaker 2: She went to college.
- 8:35Speaker 6: Oh sure, I'm say, and it was you know, a
- 8:38Speaker 6: bit much, you know, just like so she came back home,
- 8:41Speaker 6: but now she's, you know, living her best life back
- 8:44Speaker 6: home and trying to figure it out, and he's attorney
- 8:47Speaker 6: for her, so I think that's kind of helping her.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Oh good, good little dress.
- 8:51Speaker 4: So all right, well perfect, Well, thanks for coming. I
- 8:53Speaker 4: appreciate it.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Yeah, girls are easy to raise when they're running around
- 9:01Speaker 1: in their little addresses and Tutuo's loving on. You just
- 9:04Speaker 1: wanted to hang out and once they hit that middle school, huh,
- 9:07Speaker 1: and you gotta worry about them. Already four two pop
- 9:10Speaker 1: four or seven to seven Ego, Morning Romeo. You'll be
- 9:13Speaker 1: surprised at the amount of dudes out here gossiping being
- 9:16Speaker 1: more dramatic than of females. I prefer my female friends
- 9:21Speaker 1: because they more straight up than most guys. Okay, already
- 9:25Speaker 1: four two pop four seven to seven? Hey, roam, I
- 9:29Speaker 1: have two boys twenty and nineteen, two girls thirteen and ten.
- 9:33Speaker 4: The boys were so easy.
- 9:35Speaker 1: My oldest daughter has been giving me so much grief
- 9:37Speaker 1: since she turned eleven. Pray for us girls, mom, Pray
- 9:41Speaker 1: for us girl moms.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I am man.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, man, I feel bad. I feel
- 9:48Speaker 1: bad for you guys, but you know that'll be all right.
- 9:51Speaker 1: At the end of the day. You'll you'll have conversations
- 9:55Speaker 1: about how difficult, it was, but you'll get through it.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Look at how many how many good people are there
- 10:01Speaker 1: are around right now?
- 10:02Speaker 4: All righty four two? Pop four or seven to seven?
- 10:07Speaker 4: What have we got here?
- 10:09Speaker 2: Yo?
- 10:10Speaker 5: Rome?
- 10:11Speaker 4: Off topic?
- 10:13Speaker 1: You thought LA had fake ask? Oh hold on, get
- 10:15Speaker 1: to that good morning?
- 10:16Speaker 2: Help?
- 10:17Speaker 4: What's going on right now?
- 10:19Speaker 5: What's up?
- 10:20Speaker 1: I was going to achieve? If you've still got slots
- 10:22Speaker 1: for sure? That Data Olympics?
- 10:24Speaker 4: Oh for Thursday?
- 10:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you can get in.
- 10:27Speaker 4: What's your name?
- 10:27Speaker 1: Man?
- 10:28Speaker 2: George?
- 10:29Speaker 4: All right, George, you're in. I think I got only
- 10:31Speaker 4: a couple of slots left. But all right, George, associated George.
- 10:36Speaker 4: You and your child? Okay, you and your son? Thursday,
- 10:42Speaker 4: seven thirty in the morning, the boulevard.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Okay, okay, sounds good.
- 10:46Speaker 4: All right, so you're in the Data Olympics. This happening
- 10:48Speaker 4: this Thursday.
- 10:49Speaker 1: You win in a barbecue, you win some gift cards
- 10:52Speaker 1: from Fresco Meet Market, Fresco, Mexican.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Grill, uh Mega Nutrition, Kerne Oil. What else is that it?
- 11:00Speaker 1: I'm probably missing something. Bulkyard threw in a grills going down.
- 11:04Speaker 1: All right, we'll do that on Thursday.
- 11:06Speaker 4: I do got to get a couple of more Dad
- 11:07Speaker 4: teams though, good morning, Romeo.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Is your girl Shadiva, How are you? I? I'm doing
- 11:14Speaker 2: pretty good. I hear you talking this morning about raising.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Females versus boys.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I have one boy and three girls. So my girls.
- 11:26Speaker 2: My son is thirty six. My girls are thirty three,
- 11:29Speaker 2: twenty eight, and sixteen. Romeo, I do not know how
- 11:33Speaker 2: I survived the little girls. Listen, you have to be
- 11:37Speaker 2: not of this world. You have to be a warrior.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Like for me to still be mentally okay, I don't
- 11:47Speaker 2: even know of they let me tell you. So let's
- 11:54Speaker 2: see this little still. My oldest is thirty three. I
- 11:57Speaker 2: remember her eighth grade, her graduation. I kept her and
- 12:01Speaker 2: her friends, a couple of friends. We went to make
- 12:04Speaker 2: thee the shop for her graduation dress and we're on
- 12:06Speaker 2: the vccuator and I'm like, she's.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Down for me.
- 12:10Speaker 2: So I'm looking down at her and I said, what
- 12:12Speaker 2: is that on your neck? She she grabbed her neck
- 12:16Speaker 2: in the exact spot that I'm seeing this rent mark
- 12:19Speaker 2: on right. I had to hold it together because I
- 12:23Speaker 2: had to hold it together because I'm like, I'm going
- 12:24Speaker 2: to jail. I was God.
- 12:27Speaker 1: So I'm like, we're in Nazi.
- 12:29Speaker 2: There's cameras. I'm hampering you when we're home, so I'm
- 12:33Speaker 2: thinking the whole time, what am I gonna What am
- 12:35Speaker 2: I gonna do? So she is the best thing, says
- 12:38Speaker 2: ice cream okay to her dad. She is a daddy girl.
- 12:41Speaker 2: She can't do the wrong. She is just all of this.
- 12:45Speaker 2: So when we hit up the car, my next up
- 12:47Speaker 2: compact fell out of her hers and I.
- 12:49Speaker 5: Was like, I have to see how my book.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I said, oh, she's falling to cover it up makeup,
- 12:53Speaker 2: and she didn't cover it up good enough. So I
- 12:56Speaker 2: diet in and I told her dad. I said, hey,
- 12:58Speaker 2: get a rock child, prefer me the white one. And
- 13:01Speaker 2: he was like what. I was like, you're calling me
- 13:03Speaker 2: to the back. So we get to the back where
- 13:06Speaker 2: in my room. I said, I would like to even
- 13:08Speaker 2: take that tile and just start to wipe your daughter's
- 13:10Speaker 2: neck on this side. And won't be If I knew
- 13:17Speaker 2: this was going to happen, I wouldn't even did that
- 13:19Speaker 2: brother like that. He literally got physically sick. He could
- 13:21Speaker 2: start throwing up.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Oh that's awesome.
- 13:30Speaker 2: She almost took out.
- 13:33Speaker 4: That's great, that's pretty good.
- 13:36Speaker 2: All right, your lady had in their parent.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Later remember when Hickey's were in fashion. Are Hickeys still think?
- 13:50Speaker 4: Let me see you off topic? Would you send me here?
- 13:52Speaker 1: Yr Rum? This is off topic. You thought l A
- 13:55Speaker 1: had fake ass fans since the New York Knicks one
- 13:59Speaker 1: they passed. They said on the news they've been selling
- 14:02Speaker 1: eighty thousand jerseys per minute. It's a lot of jerseys.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Everyone is the Knicks fans, now, I wouldn't be surprised.
- 14:11Speaker 1: We see them all over Bakersfield. Well, first of all,
- 14:14Speaker 1: there's no faker fan than LA unless you come to Bakersfield.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I have not seen one Nick anything in Bakersfield, not
- 14:24Speaker 1: even I haven't even had a Nick fan call me
- 14:26Speaker 1: or text me talking about they're a Knicks fan. So
- 14:30Speaker 1: I don't think you're gonna see that. But I will
- 14:32Speaker 1: say this, New York is the biggest market in the country, So.
- 14:42Speaker 4: What do they have?
- 14:43Speaker 1: How many people do the Knicks do the does New
- 14:47Speaker 1: York have?
- 14:49Speaker 4: Has?
- 14:50Speaker 1: How many millions of people? So eighty thousand a minute
- 14:53Speaker 1: seems it doesn't seem right. That seems a little off.
- 14:58Speaker 1: But I'm not gonna double check you math. I'm just
- 15:00Speaker 1: gonna take your word for it or double check where
- 15:04Speaker 1: you got that information. But yeah, I could see that,
- 15:09Speaker 1: I wouldn't say it's I just don't think anybody's jumping
- 15:13Speaker 1: on Nobody likes me if you're not in New York
- 15:18Speaker 1: likes New York. I mean, the people in New York
- 15:22Speaker 1: suck like look how and they wear it as a
- 15:26Speaker 1: badge of honor that they're jerks.
- 15:29Speaker 4: That's New York man. You come New York man, We
- 15:31Speaker 4: it's hard New York. You know how we do New York.
- 15:33Speaker 1: You're just know, you're trying to justify the fact that
- 15:36Speaker 1: you guys are a bunch of jackasses and treat people
- 15:40Speaker 1: like crap.
- 15:42Speaker 4: So yeah, no, I so I don't see a whole lot.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Of people jumping on a New York bandwagon, you know,
- 15:50Speaker 1: unlike let's say the Lakers.
- 15:52Speaker 4: The Lakers are fun, well they were.
- 15:54Speaker 1: The Lakers were fun and flashy, the West Coast man,
- 15:58Speaker 1: you know, fun and sun hot chicks and cool people,
- 16:01Speaker 1: unlike New York who are just a bunch of you know,
- 16:07Speaker 1: weird looking people who are jackasses.
- 16:10Speaker 4: So yeah, no, I don't. I don't.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I don't know if I believe what you're saying, but maybe.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not going to disagree with your numbers.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I obviously heard it somewhere, So but I don't think
- 16:21Speaker 1: I don't think those are bandwagoners buying Nick jerseys.
- 16:24Speaker 4: That might be New Yorkers that are.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Bandwagoners buying Nick jerseys, nets fans buying Nick's jerseys, But
- 16:32Speaker 1: I don't, I don't think they're.
- 16:34Speaker 4: I don't know, I don't know. Hey, good morning, Rome.
- 16:37Speaker 4: What do you got here?
- 16:39Speaker 1: If you have a coworker that you see and work
- 16:43Speaker 1: with every day, he's in the biggest uh rat. Oh,
- 16:47Speaker 1: he's the biggest rat, tells on everyone and makes a
- 16:51Speaker 1: lot of enemies, but the big boss loves him at work.
- 16:55Speaker 1: He acts cool with me, but he is known to
- 16:58Speaker 1: backstab everyone. Should I keep my distance or be cool
- 17:01Speaker 1: with him?
- 17:03Speaker 4: Well? Why would you?
- 17:09Speaker 1: First of all, what do you guys do? That kind
- 17:12Speaker 1: of plays a role on what you do? You know,
- 17:15Speaker 1: if you're what kind of profession or job, or you
- 17:19Speaker 1: said he sucks. He must suck up to the big boss.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So he's cool with the Big Boss, snitches on everybody
- 17:25Speaker 1: at work.
- 17:28Speaker 4: I would just avoid him.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Why not? Why would you hang out with him if
- 17:31Speaker 1: you know there's a possibility of him snitching on you?
- 17:35Speaker 1: Why would you want to hang out with a dude
- 17:36Speaker 1: like that, to be honest with you, Yeah, why would
- 17:39Speaker 1: you just keep your distance?
- 17:41Speaker 4: Already? Fourteen bout four seven to seven.
- 17:43Speaker 1: What's the upside of being cool with somebody who has, uh,
- 17:47Speaker 1: who has priors of snitching people out? And how come
- 17:52Speaker 1: nobody smacked him in the face. I mean that's why
- 17:55Speaker 1: I said, what kind of job are you guys working
- 17:57Speaker 1: at where this dude could snitch on fools and uh
- 18:02Speaker 1: not get socked in the face. That's uh, I must
- 18:05Speaker 1: start working the oil fields already four two five, four
- 18:08Speaker 1: seven to seven.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Yeah, well, let's see what he said. Merch not jerseys,
- 18:13Speaker 4: My bad on that.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Oh, this is the guy who said eighty thousand jerseys
- 18:16Speaker 1: they're selling a minute.
- 18:18Speaker 4: And what it's say it says.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Following New York history blah blah blah, fifty three year
- 18:24Speaker 1: way merchandise generated and unprecedented frenzy eighty thousand figures. Eighty
- 18:31Speaker 1: thousand figure wasn't isolated. Fanatics recorded a peak demand over
- 18:36Speaker 1: eight thousand orders per minuted. No, eight thousand orders per minuted, Okay, yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 1: so yeah that makes sense. I mean I wouldn't call
- 18:43Speaker 1: that bandwagoning. That's just people buying, buying stuff, Yo, roam.
- 18:50Speaker 1: You're gonna do Monster Truck giveaways? Yeah, I got tickets
- 18:52Speaker 1: to Monster Truck. Keep listening, we'll get those later. I
- 19:02Speaker 1: got a couple of things I want to.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Talk to you guys about. I just don't know which
- 19:06Speaker 4: one to go with. First, go with what happened yesterday.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yesterday I was out playing golf with a couple of
- 19:13Speaker 1: friends of mine and their kid. And the kid just
- 19:16Speaker 1: graduated from high school. It's a son a couple of
- 19:20Speaker 1: my buddies. And he brought one of them, brun.
- 19:21Speaker 4: His son just graduated high school.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Getting ready for college, eighteen years old, you know, pretty
- 19:26Speaker 1: excited about life, what he's about to go through.
- 19:28Speaker 4: And he asked his dad if he could do something.
- 19:34Speaker 4: I don't know what it was.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Go.
- 19:36Speaker 1: He wanted to go somewhere like out of town, out
- 19:38Speaker 1: of state or something with his buddy and they were
- 19:41Speaker 1: gonna drive. And his dad said no, and I laughed
- 19:45Speaker 1: and I said, man, and we were just messing with
- 19:48Speaker 1: our buddy.
- 19:48Speaker 4: We were like, man, remember when we were eighteen, boy,
- 19:50Speaker 4: we got to do whatever we wanted. And the kid,
- 19:53Speaker 4: he goes, he goes.
- 19:56Speaker 1: He looked at his dad with a straight face and said, well,
- 20:00Speaker 1: I'm eighteen, dad, What if I just I could just go?
- 20:03Speaker 4: What are you gonna do? If I just go?
- 20:05Speaker 1: I'm an adult now? And the look on my boy's
- 20:10Speaker 1: face was like and he really did have the best
- 20:15Speaker 1: comeback ever. He goes, go ahead, you go ahead. That
- 20:21Speaker 1: was all he said, and you could see his son's
- 20:24Speaker 1: face just changed to Oh my god, what did I
- 20:27Speaker 1: just tell my dad? And we were laughing.
- 20:33Speaker 4: It was just so funny because you guys, remember the
- 20:35Speaker 4: first time you.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Challenged your kid, I mean your kid challenged you, or
- 20:42Speaker 1: you challenged your dad. Remember when you turned eighteen, you
- 20:45Speaker 1: were a man, right, you can do whatever you want.
- 20:47Speaker 1: The problem was you were a man in number, You
- 20:51Speaker 1: were a man by societal standards, but you weren't really
- 20:56Speaker 1: a man. You didn't have money like a man and
- 21:00Speaker 1: live like a man. You couldn't afford a man's lifestyle.
- 21:03Speaker 1: But boy, do you remember the first time you challenged
- 21:07Speaker 1: your mom or dad because you were a man now?
- 21:11Speaker 1: It didn't last very long for his son, It was funny.
- 21:13Speaker 1: He shut up pretty quick after his dad just said
- 21:16Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Then, alright?
- 21:18Speaker 1: Eight fourteen four seven to seven? Yo, Rome, Hey, you're
- 21:23Speaker 1: talking about the rom subjects it's not when the boys
- 21:26Speaker 1: became a man and stood up to their parents. It's
- 21:28Speaker 1: when these girls become adults they stand up to their moms.
- 21:32Speaker 4: That's when it really goes down.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Romeo. My sons were fine when they turned eighteen and
- 21:39Speaker 1: became adults. But once my daughter turned eighteen, she thought
- 21:43Speaker 1: she could do whatever she wanted. Tried to check her
- 21:46Speaker 1: mother about going out after she was, about going out
- 21:51Speaker 1: whenever she wanted, even though she still lived at home
- 21:55Speaker 1: and we were still paying the bills for her.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Yeah, her mom was not having it and went down
- 22:00Speaker 4: at my house. Rome What.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I'm just saying these kids in general, these kids become adults,
- 22:10Speaker 1: right and you know, they think they can do whatever
- 22:15Speaker 1: they want, but they ain't got nothing. They still don't
- 22:18Speaker 1: got nothing. They're still living at home. Okay, you're eighteen,
- 22:22Speaker 1: good for you, but you still ain't got nothing. Hey, Romeo,
- 22:28Speaker 1: you're a man now. You can do whatever you want,
- 22:30Speaker 1: including pay for all your stuff.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Well, that's what I'm saying these kids.
- 22:36Speaker 1: These kids, they want to be adults when they turn eighteen,
- 22:40Speaker 1: but they ain't got adult money. You can't be an
- 22:43Speaker 1: adult too. You got adult money, or you got an
- 22:46Speaker 1: adult living situation. If you still living at your mama's house,
- 22:49Speaker 1: you can't tell her what to do. You can't tell
- 22:51Speaker 1: her what you're gonna do. But these kids, they'll sure
- 22:56Speaker 1: try right earning fourteen by fours in this seven he roam.
- 23:00Speaker 4: I remember when I was eighteen.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I didn't have those problems because I moved out right
- 23:05Speaker 1: after I graduated high school. I was eighteen years old,
- 23:07Speaker 1: got me a job, moved in with a couple of buddies,
- 23:10Speaker 1: and haven't lived with my parents since I don't have
- 23:14Speaker 1: a beef with my parents.
- 23:15Speaker 4: I just wanted to get out on my own, all right.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I mean, hey, yeah, there's nothing wrong with that. Then
- 23:20Speaker 1: you Once you do that, you can do whatever the
- 23:23Speaker 1: hell you want right you out. You're an adult, you
- 23:25Speaker 1: on your own, I get it. But you can't sit
- 23:29Speaker 1: here and act like you're an adult when you still
- 23:31Speaker 1: when mom and dad are still paying the bills, when
- 23:34Speaker 1: mom and dad are still feeding you, when mom and
- 23:36Speaker 1: dad are still you know, paying that car insurance, that
- 23:39Speaker 1: phone bill.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Yeah, you gotta just suck it up and play by
- 23:44Speaker 4: their rules. Coming. I remember when I moved out.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I moved out at eighteen too, when I was after
- 23:51Speaker 1: I graduated high school though I was. I think I
- 23:54Speaker 1: was young when I graduated high school, so might I
- 23:56Speaker 1: might have been seventeen when I moved out. But I
- 23:58Speaker 1: moved out and my dad didn't even change my room.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Did I lived with my buddies for about a year,
- 24:09Speaker 1: and then I moved back in. I moved back home.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I was still in college at the time, so yeah,
- 24:14Speaker 1: I'm in college. Now I'm gonna go out.
- 24:15Speaker 4: I'm a party.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Life gets expensive when you live on your own.
- 24:21Speaker 4: My dad didn't even change my room. He left it
- 24:24Speaker 4: the exact same way.
- 24:25Speaker 1: And when I when I called him and said, hey, Dad,
- 24:27Speaker 1: you know, he said, yep, come on back. I didn't
- 24:31Speaker 1: even He even made a point to tell me that
- 24:34Speaker 1: he didn't change my room because he knew i'd be back.
- 24:39Speaker 4: But hey, I tried.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Didn't work out already, fourteen four or seven seven? Your
- 24:45Speaker 1: kids ever pop off to you now that they're an adult,
- 24:48Speaker 1: or do you ever? You know, when's the first time
- 24:50Speaker 1: you told your parents I'm an adult. You can't be
- 24:52Speaker 1: an adult you're still living at home.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Hey, Dad Olympics.
- 24:54Speaker 1: We got the Dad Olympics coming up on Thursday over
- 24:57Speaker 1: at the Boulevard, And what do we got We got
- 25:00Speaker 1: four events, right, we got you and your kids, dads
- 25:04Speaker 1: and your kids, whichever one you think will be the
- 25:06Speaker 1: most competitive. To help you win, we're giving away. I
- 25:09Speaker 1: don't even have the list of things in front of
- 25:11Speaker 1: me we're giving away, but we got I.
- 25:13Speaker 4: Know a little bit.
- 25:14Speaker 1: We're putting together prize packs for first, second, and third.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I know that the first price is gonna get a
- 25:20Speaker 1: brand new grill from the bulkyard. Plus we're gonna throw
- 25:25Speaker 1: and I think one hundred dollars worth of meat in
- 25:27Speaker 1: or one hundred dollars gift card to Fresco Meat Market.
- 25:31Speaker 1: We got some gift cards to Fresco Mexican Grill.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Fresco Meat Market.
- 25:38Speaker 1: This is a big one, by the way, and I
- 25:40Speaker 1: know everybody's kind of downplaying it, but current oil. We
- 25:43Speaker 1: got some gift cards that you guys are gonna win
- 25:45Speaker 1: for oil changes, things like that, things that actually can
- 25:48Speaker 1: act pretty expensive sometimes and you don't want to do
- 25:51Speaker 1: it yourself. Plus, we got Mecha Nutrition our guys over
- 25:54Speaker 1: at Mecca. We love Josh over there. I'm gonna get
- 25:59Speaker 1: you guys some card supplements. I believe I'm missing something,
- 26:03Speaker 1: but we'll figure it out. Probably give away some monster
- 26:05Speaker 1: truck tickets also on Thursday, So we got four events.
- 26:10Speaker 1: You and dad, you're gonna do this. You're gonna laser tag,
- 26:14Speaker 1: you're gonna do the rope course. You're gonna hit that.
- 26:17Speaker 1: See how hard you can hit that punching bag game,
- 26:20Speaker 1: you know the one where you hit the speed bag
- 26:22Speaker 1: and I hit seven thirty two. I don't even know
- 26:25Speaker 1: if that's good or bad, although some young kid hit
- 26:28Speaker 1: nine something right in front of me, which kind of
- 26:31Speaker 1: is embarrassing, But hey, what are you gonna do? And
- 26:33Speaker 1: then we're gonna do a version of bowling for you
- 26:35Speaker 1: guys to win. Okay, So I need a couple of
- 26:38Speaker 1: more dads. We're looking for twenty teams. I think I
- 26:39Speaker 1: got eighteen teams down. So if you're interested, I guess
- 26:43Speaker 1: you still got a chance to get in.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Where's my boy at? You know what's messed up?
- 26:51Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on in the farming industry.
- 26:56Speaker 1: But my watermelon guy he showed up in two years.
- 27:02Speaker 1: In two years, my watermelon guy ain't hooked me up.
- 27:07Speaker 1: And you know, it's a hundred and four outside one
- 27:10Speaker 1: hundred and two. There's nothing more refreshing, nothing more refreshing
- 27:16Speaker 1: other than cucumber water with little vodka in. But there
- 27:19Speaker 1: is nothing more refreshing the watermelon.
- 27:21Speaker 4: And my boy.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I don't know where he's been. I don't know what's
- 27:25Speaker 1: going on. Is there something, did something happen? Have watermelons
- 27:30Speaker 1: become more expensive and harder to get?
- 27:32Speaker 4: I don't know. I really don't know, but.
- 27:39Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, although I did get one the
- 27:40Speaker 1: other day from somewhere maybe uh where did I get
- 27:44Speaker 1: it from? But there is nothing more refreshing when you
- 27:48Speaker 1: come in from a one hundred and two degree weather
- 27:50Speaker 1: one hundred and four degree weather than ice cold watermelon
- 27:54Speaker 1: out of the fridge. Nothing, nothing cools you off faster
- 27:58Speaker 1: or is more delicious.
- 27:59Speaker 4: And my water guy, and you know who you know,
- 28:01Speaker 4: who you are.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I don't know what you're doing if you're keeping him
- 28:04Speaker 1: for yourself. I don't know what's going But it's been
- 28:06Speaker 1: two years.
- 28:07Speaker 4: I'm just letting you know.
- 28:08Speaker 1: It's been two years since you showed up at the
- 28:10Speaker 1: house with a watermelon, or at least two I'm just
- 28:13Speaker 1: letting you know. I was out with some friends the
- 28:16Speaker 1: other day, my buddy and his wife, and he was
- 28:19Speaker 1: telling me how he's got to go out of town
- 28:21Speaker 1: for work for like six months.
- 28:22Speaker 4: He's got to go out of town six he has
- 28:25Speaker 4: six or whatever. He think he's gonna be longer than that.
- 28:27Speaker 4: But apparently he's got to do. And I know a
- 28:29Speaker 4: lot of you guys.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Deal with this, right, especially cats in the oil fields.
- 28:32Speaker 4: You guys gotta go.
- 28:33Speaker 1: You guys will spend a lot of time away from
- 28:35Speaker 1: home for work. Well, this fool's got to go to
- 28:38Speaker 1: Child Chilla and he's trying to sell me on Child Chilla. Oh,
- 28:41Speaker 1: you got to come visit me in Child Chilla. They
- 28:43Speaker 1: got this, They got Child Chill. Ain't got nothing for anybody.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Nobody wants to go there unless you have to, unless
- 28:49Speaker 1: it's state mandated.
- 28:50Speaker 4: You know, nobody's going to Child Chilla. I don't know why.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I don't even know why he's going there. They're building something.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I'm just I don't know what it is. But this
- 28:58Speaker 1: clown's trying to sell me on Child Chilla. You gotta
- 29:00Speaker 1: come visit me. I'm gonna stay at the motor home
- 29:02Speaker 1: park and he's got to stay there for.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Like it's gonna be. I said, just just come home.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Why would you?
- 29:08Speaker 1: Why would you if you got to work Monday through Friday. Well,
- 29:11Speaker 1: why would you stay there any longer? And you have
- 29:13Speaker 1: just come home every weekend? The hell's wrong with you?
- 29:18Speaker 1: There ain't none in choud Chill. I'd an aunt vacation
- 29:21Speaker 1: there a while back for a few years. But yeah,
- 29:24Speaker 1: there ain't not cha Chilla sucks. Don't nobody want to go.
- 29:28Speaker 1: CEOs and criminals. It's all you got in chow Chiller.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Ain't none to offer, none to offer, So stop.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Trying to sell me on going to visit you and
- 29:36Speaker 4: Chacha my buddies. His wife won't even go visit him.
- 29:39Speaker 4: She's like, why would I go there?
- 29:40Speaker 1: Just come home?
- 29:43Speaker 4: Throw me outside? Thirty four point?
- 29:45Speaker 1: Well, the reason I brought it up because I was
- 29:47Speaker 1: just curious how you guys, some of you guys handle that,
- 29:49Speaker 1: how your wives handle your husband's being out of town
- 29:52Speaker 1: so long when they have to go out of town
- 29:53Speaker 1: for work.
- 29:54Speaker 4: I was just curious, throw me outside.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I'm kind of curious how there, how she's gonna handle it,
- 29:58Speaker 1: to be honest with you, or how he's gonna handle it.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Who's gonna handle it worse?
- 30:02Speaker 2: Then?
- 30:02Speaker 4: I don't think this has ever happened before. Hey, good morning, Romeo.
- 30:05Speaker 1: You were talking about your my husband going out of
- 30:08Speaker 1: town for work. My husband will leave for six months.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Sometimes he'll come back at least twice a month. Now
- 30:16Speaker 1: he goes out of state, so he has to fly back.
- 30:18Speaker 4: But it's not bad.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I got the kids. I deal with the kids, so
- 30:23Speaker 1: we hang out a lot. I get time to spend
- 30:26Speaker 1: with my family. But I do miss him when he's gone.
- 30:29Speaker 1: But yeah, Rome, that's how we deal it. That's how
- 30:32Speaker 1: we deal with it. But he does come home a
- 30:34Speaker 1: couple of weekends a month.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Well, where does he go to? What state?
- 30:39Speaker 1: How far away? I mean, I know, you guys do it,
- 30:43Speaker 1: I know what happens. I'm I'm kind of curious how
- 30:45Speaker 1: my friends are going to deal with it because I
- 30:47Speaker 1: don't think they've ever been apart that long. I mean,
- 30:49Speaker 1: they've been together since high school. I think, something crazy,
- 30:52Speaker 1: and then they've never they've never been apart that long. Like,
- 30:57Speaker 1: I don't even think they've ever been maybe a day
- 30:59Speaker 1: at the most. Some of of you have never been
- 31:02Speaker 1: apart from your spouse more than a day or two.
- 31:05Speaker 1: And then your spouse is gonna go out of town
- 31:07Speaker 1: for six months. I mean, I mean it's only it's
- 31:11Speaker 1: only up the road. Though it's only just outside of Fresno.
- 31:14Speaker 1: You can drive back whenever you want, right, But I
- 31:17Speaker 1: know some of your some of your husbands go to
- 31:19Speaker 1: other states.
- 31:20Speaker 4: What where do they go for oil?
- 31:22Speaker 1: North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, places like that. I mean,
- 31:26Speaker 1: you can't just come home whenever you want. So, yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 1: I wonder if it's nice. I wonder if it's uh,
- 31:34Speaker 1: how do you guys handle it? All?
- 31:35Speaker 3: Right?
- 31:35Speaker 1: I wonder how my friends are gonna handle it. The
- 31:37Speaker 1: good thing is I get to see how they how
- 31:38Speaker 1: it all plays out.
- 31:39Speaker 4: So buddy of.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Mine and his wife, we're going to see what happens
- 31:43Speaker 1: because he's got to go out of town. He's never
- 31:44Speaker 1: really worked out of town before, but apparently for some reason,
- 31:48Speaker 1: it's got to go work out of town.
- 31:49Speaker 4: He thinks he's going to be six to six months
- 31:51Speaker 4: to a year.
- 31:52Speaker 1: But I mean it's just down the road, just outside
- 31:54Speaker 1: of Fresno at chat Chilla. But I guess he's, you know,
- 31:57Speaker 1: gonna work twelve hour day. He's got to stay there
- 32:00Speaker 1: for I mean at least Monday through Friday. Rights, what
- 32:03Speaker 1: is that a two and a half hour drive. Nobody's
- 32:06Speaker 1: making that drive every day. But it's funny because he
- 32:09Speaker 1: was trying to convince us all we need to go
- 32:11Speaker 1: visit him, and we're like, well, when would we come
- 32:16Speaker 1: visit on the weekend?
- 32:19Speaker 4: No, why wouldn't you just come home? And he's telling us.
- 32:22Speaker 1: He's telling because he's trying to get me to go
- 32:23Speaker 1: up there to play golf in all kinds of nonsense.
- 32:26Speaker 4: And his wife is like, why would I go visit you?
- 32:29Speaker 1: You just I'm not going to come up during the
- 32:32Speaker 1: week She got her own responsibility. She can't just roll
- 32:34Speaker 1: up there during the week. So but when the weekend comes,
- 32:37Speaker 1: why would you go? Why would you go there? Somebody
- 32:41Speaker 1: give me one legitimate reason, and I might understand, But
- 32:45Speaker 1: why would you go there? Why would anybody go to
- 32:48Speaker 1: chow chill Unless you're going to visit a relative.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Why would anybody go there? You can just come home
- 32:55Speaker 4: for the weekend. It's that simple. And he's trying to
- 32:58Speaker 4: sell us. Oh no, everybody.
- 33:00Speaker 1: And what's what's funny is I guess all the other
- 33:03Speaker 1: wives of the guys that got to go to a
- 33:05Speaker 1: group of them are.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Down, let's go partying chow chilla.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Seriously, nobody's that dumb, at least my at least my
- 33:14Speaker 1: buddy's wife's smart.
- 33:15Speaker 4: She's like, yeah, I'm not going there. You can just
- 33:17Speaker 4: come home the hell yeah.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Already four two five, four seven to seven. What do
- 33:22Speaker 1: you guys do when you're out of town? I mean
- 33:24Speaker 1: a lot of you, A lot of you wives. Your
- 33:26Speaker 1: husband's got to go out of town for work.
- 33:28Speaker 4: I mean a lot of you. That's the business, right.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Already four two five, four seven to seven eight Romeo,
- 33:35Speaker 1: my husband says, you want my time or you want money.
- 33:40Speaker 4: I mean that's a that's a tough I mean, yeah,
- 33:44Speaker 4: that's uh, yeah, that's tough.
- 33:49Speaker 1: How much time do you spend a part though? I mean,
- 33:55Speaker 1: when you marry somebody, don't you marry him for their time.
- 33:58Speaker 4: First or there?
- 33:59Speaker 1: I don't know that's a good I think you gotta
- 34:01Speaker 1: have a certain kind of relationship to have to have
- 34:05Speaker 1: a husband or a wife that that's gone all the time.
- 34:09Speaker 1: I have a buddy who he was always here and
- 34:13Speaker 1: his wife was always gone. She ended up having an
- 34:16Speaker 1: affair and leaving him. They got divorced. But you know,
- 34:20Speaker 1: I think that's a possibility. Already four two potful or
- 34:23Speaker 1: seven a seven eight. Rom My man works in Alaska.
- 34:27Speaker 1: He literally just got home at two am. He'll be
- 34:30Speaker 1: home for two weeks, then gone for six because he's
- 34:33Speaker 1: working over I broke my ankle, so now it's a
- 34:37Speaker 1: little tougher for me and the kids. Luckily, I have
- 34:41Speaker 1: one teenager who's a big help. But usually he's gone
- 34:43Speaker 1: two weeks and home two weeks, so he works a
- 34:45Speaker 1: little over fifty percent of the year.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Been together twelve years. I mean two weeks, two weeks
- 34:51Speaker 4: and two weeks is not bad, right, I mean that's
- 34:55Speaker 4: a that's not bad? Or two, five, four or seven
- 35:01Speaker 4: to seven? What's going on?
- 35:03Speaker 6: What's rom seahawk glue?
- 35:06Speaker 4: A ern?
- 35:07Speaker 1: So are you still talking about how to deal with it?
- 35:10Speaker 3: Whenever you have to work out of state or something?
- 35:13Speaker 4: You never got a job hold on.
- 35:16Speaker 3: But back in twenty fourteen, I had a job in
- 35:18Speaker 3: the oil fields. Oh okay, and they wanted me to
- 35:23Speaker 3: go to New Mexico. Okay, it's a random spot. And
- 35:28Speaker 3: this is how you deal with it. You just tell
- 35:30Speaker 3: them no, and that's it. They're not gonna like it,
- 35:36Speaker 3: but you tell them no, and you know, nobody has
- 35:38Speaker 3: to deal with anything about you leaving anywhere. Of course,
- 35:43Speaker 3: most of these guys just say, yeah, we'll go anywhere.
- 35:46Speaker 3: You want me to for whatever long you want me to,
- 35:49Speaker 3: and they just go and they end up staying there
- 35:51Speaker 3: and living there. Okay, And then if that were to
- 35:57Speaker 3: happen now, the real question would be how would wast
- 35:59Speaker 3: will do without me being here?
- 36:01Speaker 4: I don't know, Louie. It would be devastating to the city.
- 36:05Speaker 3: This city would suffer, man, the city would suffer. Okay,
- 36:09Speaker 3: all right, you have a good one.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Remember you're taking from You're taking advice from a guy
- 36:13Speaker 1: who doesn't have a job. Just remember that already four two,
- 36:18Speaker 1: seven to seven. I mean, sometimes you gotta do what
- 36:22Speaker 1: you gotta do.
- 36:22Speaker 4: For work, right, And I just I don't know. I mean,
- 36:29Speaker 4: I'm I'm gonna guess.
- 36:30Speaker 1: That a lot of you wives are used to it
- 36:32Speaker 1: by now, right. It's been probably going on for a
- 36:34Speaker 1: long time. But this is the first time that my
- 36:36Speaker 1: friends are gonna be a part this so long, it's
- 36:39Speaker 1: gonna be interesting. Even though technically it should be Monday
- 36:41Speaker 1: through Friday. He'll be home on Friday, leave Monday, come
- 36:44Speaker 1: back Friday. But he tried to convince us all to
- 36:50Speaker 1: go to child Chilla to hang out.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Well, bring your ass home. What's wrong with you?
- 36:56Speaker 1: What did you send me here already four two, seven
- 36:59Speaker 1: to seven Rome. My husband at the time, now divorced,
- 37:03Speaker 1: was making the most money ever about seven years ago,
- 37:06Speaker 1: working up North Bay area. He would come on Friday
- 37:09Speaker 1: to Sunday evening. I loved it though though it made
- 37:13Speaker 1: us I thought it made us closer and miss each
- 37:16Speaker 1: other a bit. But no, he started flipping out at
- 37:18Speaker 1: every chance he could. Insecurities really took over, and then
- 37:23Speaker 1: the jealousy of our own children. It almost seemed like
- 37:27Speaker 1: he was calling. He was calling at specific times because
- 37:32Speaker 1: he knew I didn't have free time, like right after
- 37:36Speaker 1: work for me, getting the kids, making dinner.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Bedtime, accester, after all that.
- 37:41Speaker 1: I would try to call and he would be asleep,
- 37:44Speaker 1: so to say the least, it didn't work. We ended
- 37:46Speaker 1: up separating, and he ended up quitting because he got
- 37:50Speaker 1: a girlfriend a girlfriend a month or two after we split,
- 37:55Speaker 1: and he wanted to be in town. Oh for that,
- 37:58Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, mind. You took about thirty dollars to
- 38:02Speaker 1: took about a thirty dollars pay cut, pay cut, and
- 38:08Speaker 1: they lasted less than six months. Some people can't handle
- 38:12Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. It's kind of crazy, right, Well,
- 38:15Speaker 1: we'll see what my friends do. They're pretty solid couple.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I mean, they're pretty legitimate couple. I think they'll be
- 38:21Speaker 1: all right. I just he's trying to get us to
- 38:24Speaker 1: go visit him on the weekends in chow Chilla. Who
- 38:27Speaker 1: the hell goes to child Chilla for anything. I don't
- 38:30Speaker 1: even like driving through child Chiller when I got to
- 38:31Speaker 1: go up north. That's how pathetic that town is. Just
- 38:36Speaker 1: And I'm God bless his wife for just telling no,
- 38:39Speaker 1: I'm not going up there. You can come home, see,
- 38:41Speaker 1: because you can bring your ass home already four two five,
- 38:45Speaker 1: four seven seven. Yeah, And I agree with what you said.
- 38:54Speaker 1: It is tough for some people, I think, to live,
- 38:56Speaker 1: to live apart to work a part you know. I
- 38:59Speaker 1: don't know if it's.
- 39:02Speaker 4: Just because of jealousy, but I mean, when you get
- 39:06Speaker 4: with your partner, don't you give with them so they're.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Around all the time, so you can see them every day,
- 39:11Speaker 1: not so they can work out of town alrighty fourteen
- 39:14Speaker 1: five four or seven seven?
- 39:16Speaker 4: Oh No, Rome, it's not bad at all. After twelve years,
- 39:19Speaker 4: we have a system.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I love the two weeks on, two weeks off because
- 39:23Speaker 1: my job allows me to choose my own schedule, so
- 39:25Speaker 1: when he's home, I can be off.
- 39:28Speaker 4: Every day as well. Oh that's a good. Yeah.
- 39:30Speaker 1: We tend to do barbecues, go on trips, travel. Believe me,
- 39:34Speaker 1: we make the most of it together. Sure, I I
- 39:40Speaker 1: just it's got to be hard for most people. Right.
- 39:44Speaker 1: You marry a man and then he's gone half the year.
- 39:48Speaker 1: And I know a guy, by the way, I know
- 39:53Speaker 1: a guy who travels a lot. Sells guy travels a lot.
- 39:57Speaker 1: And it's fun, by the way, when he's having a
- 40:01Speaker 1: hard time finding a woman in Bakersfield because he's.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Gone so much.
- 40:04Speaker 1: He's gone, I think, you know, half the month, maybe
- 40:06Speaker 1: a little more than half the month. And all these
- 40:10Speaker 1: girls he's dating or meets think it's great, you know,
- 40:14Speaker 1: because they're divorced. They got to raise their kids, they
- 40:17Speaker 1: got and then he's gone. You know, I get to
- 40:19Speaker 1: see him when he comes home, and I can just
- 40:21Speaker 1: live my life care free while, you know, and do
- 40:26Speaker 1: me until it gets serious.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Once it gets.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Serious, is wheneverything changes. Why are you gone all the time?
- 40:34Speaker 1: It was gone all the time when we met, so yeah,
- 40:38Speaker 1: I could speak. It's probably difficult for most people. You
- 40:41Speaker 1: probably got to be a special.
- 40:42Speaker 4: Kind of character.
- 40:45Speaker 1: To marry someone who's gone half the year working out
- 40:49Speaker 1: of town with the Boulevart put together some contests for
- 40:53Speaker 1: you dads to play with your kids. Okay, now there's

- 46:23Speaker 1: doing it at the Boulevard on Thursday, alright, eight four twent.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Five four or seven to seven.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Hey, roam, I was hoping I can ask you a question.
- 46:30Speaker 1: I don't know what you're talking about right now, but
- 46:32Speaker 1: last night my daughter, who is seventeen year olds and
- 46:35Speaker 1: am I seventeen years old, and my wife got mad
- 46:38Speaker 1: at me, and they were still mad at me this
- 46:40Speaker 1: morning at breakfast. I want you to tell me if
- 46:44Speaker 1: I was wrong. My daughter is seventeen. She was going
- 46:47Speaker 1: out on a date and a boy was picking her up.
- 46:51Speaker 1: We were sitting there waiting. I kind of wanted to
- 46:53Speaker 1: see who the guy was. She starts to head for
- 46:55Speaker 1: the door and I said, where are you going? She says, oh,
- 46:58Speaker 1: my date's here. He just texted me that he's here,
- 47:02Speaker 1: so I'm going I'm leaving. She said bye. She said
- 47:06Speaker 1: bye to us, and I said, hold, await a second,
- 47:09Speaker 1: why is he not coming to the door. And my
- 47:13Speaker 1: wife said, that's just how they do it now you're
- 47:17Speaker 1: so old. I said, I don't care. I want to
- 47:19Speaker 1: know who my daughter's going out with. She got embarrassed
- 47:23Speaker 1: in that, so I told her she couldn't go unless
- 47:26Speaker 1: he walked to the door and said hi. Well he
- 47:29Speaker 1: didn't want to do that, Rome. So now my daughter
- 47:32Speaker 1: and my wife are both mad at me.
- 47:35Speaker 4: What do you think, Rome? Did I do the right thing?
- 47:39Speaker 1: Yeah? How do you do the wrong thing? Looking out
- 47:44Speaker 1: for your daughter? And why is your wife okay with that?
- 47:49Speaker 4: Why?
- 47:49Speaker 1: It's like how I mean, I understand where your wife's got. Well,
- 47:56Speaker 1: that's just how they do it. No, okay, that doesn't
- 48:00Speaker 1: mean how they do it is right. How about you
- 48:03Speaker 1: have a little respect? Why couldn't this guy have a
- 48:05Speaker 1: little And why is your daughter? I can't believe your
- 48:07Speaker 1: wife did this? Why isn't your Why doesn't this guy
- 48:10Speaker 1: have enough respect for your daughter? What are you gonna
- 48:14Speaker 1: just whistle at her and she comes running? Because that's
- 48:17Speaker 1: pretty much what it is. He couldn't walk up, knock
- 48:20Speaker 1: on the door, say hi, introduce himself. Yeah, no, I
- 48:25Speaker 1: think you're absolutely right. And for instead of your wife
- 48:28Speaker 1: and your daughter being mad at you, you should be
- 48:30Speaker 1: pissed off of them, and you really should be mad
- 48:32Speaker 1: at your I understand your daughter she don't know no better.
- 48:35Speaker 1: You're trying to teach her better. But what is your
- 48:37Speaker 1: wife teaching her by doing that?
- 48:41Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying that?
- 48:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that don't summay right there, bro, I mean you
- 48:46Speaker 1: should be mad at your wife that go home, start
- 48:48Speaker 1: a fight with a wife actor ask her what is
- 48:50Speaker 1: she teaching.
- 48:51Speaker 4: Her daughter to?
- 48:52Speaker 1: Just some guy whistles and she comes running, Because that's
- 48:55Speaker 1: really what your teacher. Meet me outside. I'm here, meet
- 48:59Speaker 1: me outside. That's the type. That's the type of daughter
- 49:04Speaker 1: your wife wants to raise. Okay, So no, I think
- 49:10Speaker 1: you're absolutely right. And the other question then I have
- 49:12Speaker 1: now is once once, did did your daughter tell the dude, hey,
- 49:20Speaker 1: my dad said you got to come to the door
- 49:22Speaker 1: and he decided not to?
- 49:26Speaker 4: Or did she just get embarrassed and what and what
- 49:31Speaker 4: she had to say? Something?
- 49:32Speaker 1: Right?
- 49:34Speaker 4: He probably dodged a bullet on that one. What kind
- 49:36Speaker 4: of dude.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Let's say your daughter did say, hey, my dad said
- 49:40Speaker 1: you got to come to the door, I can't go
- 49:42Speaker 1: and that dude decided not to. You should be glad,
- 49:47Speaker 1: in fact, the whole household should be glad that your
- 49:50Speaker 1: daughter's not dating that idiot. Yeah, I think I bro,
- 49:55Speaker 1: I think you did everything right, and I think your family,
- 49:57Speaker 1: your wife and your daughter need to take a step
- 50:01Speaker 1: back and understand their role. His dad, he was telling
- 50:04Speaker 1: me his wife and his daughter, seventeen year old daughter
- 50:06Speaker 1: are pissed off at him from last night because the
- 50:09Speaker 1: guy was going to take his daughter out and I
- 50:11Speaker 1: guess he just texted so she was gonna leave, and
- 50:14Speaker 1: the dad was like, nah, he needs to come up
- 50:16Speaker 1: and and and meet it, meet us, right, And so
- 50:21Speaker 1: I guess the kid never came. So the girl, the
- 50:25Speaker 1: daughter didn't go out on a day. Good morning, How
- 50:26Speaker 1: what's going on?
- 50:29Speaker 3: Hey, that's a really good parentinge.
- 50:31Speaker 4: I love what that guy did there. Well, yeah, it's
- 50:35Speaker 4: kinda yeah.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Yeah. It's like he can't get off the car go
- 50:41Speaker 3: knock on the door and ask for his daughter. Like
- 50:45Speaker 3: come on now, man, you're really you're really not going
- 50:47Speaker 3: to do that.
- 50:48Speaker 5: I know who you are.
- 50:49Speaker 4: I didn't say I said, at least say hi, I mean,
- 50:53Speaker 4: I mean, I mean yeah.
- 50:56Speaker 3: I mean because one of my pet peeves is only
- 51:00Speaker 3: going to pick me up. I hate it when they
- 51:02Speaker 3: pull up honking.
- 51:05Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 51:05Speaker 3: Hey, I'm outsiry, you know what I mean?
- 51:09Speaker 4: Well, I've got that's old school. Honkin's old school Mexican.
- 51:13Speaker 1: When you pick up, when you pick up a coworker
- 51:15Speaker 1: for work, honk once show you there. Second honk means
- 51:18Speaker 1: you're about to leave. In the third honk, you're driving away.
- 51:20Speaker 1: So that's old that's different.
- 51:22Speaker 4: But yeah, I get it.
- 51:24Speaker 3: You know what, I think the guy is old school
- 51:27Speaker 3: of Mexican man because he probably did that honk one.
- 51:29Speaker 3: She didn't come out Hong Kong. She didn't come out.
- 51:31Speaker 5: He's hard.
- 51:32Speaker 4: I'm gone, Oh now they text, all right, get out
- 51:34Speaker 4: of here.
- 51:36Speaker 1: I'm just saying, if you're picking somebody up for a date,
- 51:40Speaker 1: and I don't even know how often that happens, but
- 51:42Speaker 1: even a even a at least a seventeen year old,
- 51:46Speaker 1: if your seventeen year old daughter is going to go out,
- 51:49Speaker 1: you should at least the guy should at least come
- 51:51Speaker 1: to the door introduce himself, you know what I'm saying.
- 51:55Speaker 1: So I don't have a problem with dad, but I
- 51:57Speaker 1: don't understand is the mom's life. For the mom to
- 52:02Speaker 1: say that's just how they do it and kind of
- 52:06Speaker 1: degrade her husband in a sense, is that's a little
- 52:10Speaker 1: strange to me. I mean, what kind of daughter are
- 52:13Speaker 1: you raising to say it's okay for some guy to
- 52:15Speaker 1: just come by honk or whistle or text, and she
- 52:19Speaker 1: just goes running out to him. I mean, what kind
- 52:22Speaker 1: of mom are you? So this guy he sent me
- 52:24Speaker 1: a text message a few minutes ago. He's talking about
- 52:27Speaker 1: his daughter. I guess his daughter was going to go
- 52:29Speaker 1: out on a date. She's seventeen years old. And apparently
- 52:33Speaker 1: the guy didn't come up to the door. I was
- 52:35Speaker 1: gonna pick her up, but didn't come to the door,
- 52:37Speaker 1: and so the dad was like, nah, you're not going.
- 52:39Speaker 1: So he's telling me his wife and his daughter mad
- 52:42Speaker 1: at him day. He's wondering if he was wrong or not.
- 52:45Speaker 1: And apparently the mom said no. They just text nowadays
- 52:47Speaker 1: to let you know they're out front. And the dad
- 52:50Speaker 1: was like, okay, that's.
- 52:51Speaker 4: Not good enough, and so he didn't allow his daughter
- 52:54Speaker 4: to go out. So now they're man.
- 52:56Speaker 1: But I the question is the mom, you know, I
- 52:59Speaker 1: guess the dad. You want to know who's taking your
- 53:01Speaker 1: daughter out. You might want to say hi, just you know,
- 53:04Speaker 1: look at the face. So if you got to, you know,
- 53:06Speaker 1: if the police ask for a sketch, you know who
- 53:09Speaker 1: you're talking about. I means something, but it's the mom
- 53:12Speaker 1: who tried to just justify it like it was nothing,
- 53:17Speaker 1: and basically.
- 53:18Speaker 4: All it is is a guy driving up. I mean,
- 53:20Speaker 4: is that how the mom lives?
- 53:22Speaker 1: The guys can just drive up, honk twice and your
- 53:24Speaker 1: daughter has to run out and get in the car.
- 53:28Speaker 1: The mom all right, eight four two five four or
- 53:30Speaker 1: seven to seven zero Rome, you were talking about the
- 53:33Speaker 1: dad and the mom and the daughter going out the mom?
- 53:36Speaker 1: Is she a Bakersfield mom? Because you know, you can't
- 53:39Speaker 1: turn these hoes into housewives. So now the mom's home,
- 53:43Speaker 1: Maybe she is.
- 53:44Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Eight poort two? Oh wait eight port two five four
- 53:49Speaker 1: or seven to seven room. He's probably a lot older
- 53:52Speaker 1: than her. Ask for that driver's license, especially if you're
- 53:57Speaker 1: picking her up. Some people will drive illegally. What are
- 53:59Speaker 1: you talking about? He's probably older.
- 54:03Speaker 4: Oh, I don't know. I don't know where you're going
- 54:05Speaker 4: with that, but okay, yeah, I don't know.
- 54:09Speaker 1: I would think if a guy was gonna pick you up,
- 54:11Speaker 1: I mean, how many of you would accept that, even
- 54:14Speaker 1: if you were an adult. If you're just a twenty
- 54:17Speaker 1: seven year old woman living somewhere and some guy comes
- 54:21Speaker 1: to pick you up on a date, are you making
- 54:24Speaker 1: him come to the door, or you just when he
- 54:26Speaker 1: texts I'm out front, you just run out there. Yeah,
- 54:30Speaker 1: that's a dumb ass move. Once you set that precedent,
- 54:33Speaker 1: you're just an idiot at that point. Hey, Robio, I
- 54:35Speaker 1: just want to let you know what's going on in
- 54:37Speaker 1: this world. I am a thirty two year old single man.
- 54:42Speaker 1: These women have no respect for themselves anymore. You don't
- 54:44Speaker 1: even have to pick him up. You just text them
- 54:47Speaker 1: and tell him to meet you, and they come over quickly.
- 54:51Speaker 1: You don't even have to know them anymore. You just
- 54:53Speaker 1: go on a website or a dating app and you
- 54:56Speaker 1: got him like that. I'm just trying to hip you
- 54:59Speaker 1: to the game, Romeo. So what you're talking about is
- 55:02Speaker 1: kind of old school. That's not how it works anymore.
- 55:05Speaker 1: These women have no respect for themselves.
- 55:11Speaker 4: I don't think that. I don't know if it's respect
- 55:16Speaker 4: for yourself.
- 55:17Speaker 1: I mean, I guess I could see how you put
- 55:19Speaker 1: that they have no respect for themselves because you just
- 55:23Speaker 1: snap your fingers and they come running. But I don't
- 55:27Speaker 1: think they see it as like that. I don't think
- 55:29Speaker 1: women see it. I think they see it as independence
- 55:32Speaker 1: and they're in control. I don't think they see it
- 55:35Speaker 1: in the same way that this this dad sees it
- 55:41Speaker 1: when he's with his daughter. You know what I'm saying.
- 55:44Speaker 1: I think they see it as I think women today
- 55:46Speaker 1: don't see it as men snapping their fingers and them jumping.
- 55:50Speaker 1: They see it as them, you know, them being independent.
- 55:55Speaker 1: You know, all right, you would know you're in the game.
- 56:01Speaker 1: All right, what'd you send me here?
- 56:03Speaker 4: All right?
- 56:03Speaker 1: Eight fourteen five four seven to seven year Romeo. I've
- 56:07Speaker 1: been married to my husband for twenty two years, and
- 56:10Speaker 1: You're right. These women do be playing themselves. These women
- 56:16Speaker 1: don't have These women nowadays don't have any respect for themselves.
- 56:21Speaker 1: They let these guys get away with anything. We raised
- 56:24Speaker 1: a boy and two daughters, and let me tell you,
- 56:27Speaker 1: I make sure that boy opens the door.
- 56:30Speaker 4: I make sure those.
- 56:31Speaker 1: Daughters get treated treated well. You can't just whistle and
- 56:36Speaker 1: have them come running like you just said. I will
- 56:39Speaker 1: literally sit in the car until my husband opens the
- 56:43Speaker 1: door for me. He still opens the door for me
- 56:45Speaker 1: when I get in, and opens the door for me
- 56:47Speaker 1: when I get out. That's what a real man should do.
- 56:51Speaker 1: So Romeo, I totally agree with you. Well, it wasn't me,
- 56:55Speaker 1: it was the guy somebody that texted before you texted
- 56:59Speaker 1: and said that these women don't have no respect for themselves.
- 57:03Speaker 1: He's out in their game, said he's thirty two. You
- 57:05Speaker 1: don't even gotta, you know, pick him up anymore. You
- 57:07Speaker 1: just whistle or snap your fingers and they come running.
- 57:11Speaker 4: You know, I guess there you go. I guess, I
- 57:14Speaker 4: guess that's the game nowadays.
- 57:16Speaker 1: These women don't have enough respect for themselves to have
- 57:19Speaker 1: a man actually go out of his way, you know,
- 57:23Speaker 1: come to the door, say hi, meet the parents, or
- 57:27Speaker 1: at least come to the door and pick her up
- 57:31Speaker 1: in the morning every morning.
- 57:32Speaker 4: More ninety four point one
