- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to A Meeting of the Minds, crafted from decades
- 0:05Speaker 1: of talk show experience. An extension of the magic they've
- 0:08Speaker 1: created together on radio in the phenomenon called M & M.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Hot topics in the news and wisdom from life. It's
- 0:16Speaker 1: Mark Davis and Mike Gallagher. This is M & M Extra.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Things are heating up. Eight days to go. A week
- 0:25Speaker 2: from tomorrow. The midterm... Election is almost here. Welcome in.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I'm Mike. He's Mark. We are so glad you're a
- 0:34Speaker 2: part of today's podcast, and we're always grateful for M &
- 0:38Speaker 2: M Extra's Preborn Partnership. You stand for life. When you
- 0:43Speaker 2: join us in providing ultrasounds to girls and women, doubling
- 0:46Speaker 2: the likelihood she'll choose life preborn. Great, great organization. Preborn.com
- 0:51Speaker 2: slash M & M Extra. Mark Davis, somebody texted the
- 0:57Speaker 2: show today and said, I have a quiet calm, peaceful
- 1:02Speaker 2: confidence that we're going to get this right next week.
- 1:05Speaker 2: What say you, Mr. Davis? You feeling good? I am.
- 1:09Speaker 3: And then I instantly feel the tap on my shoulder
- 1:12Speaker 3: that says, don't say that dummy. And I'm half kidding,
- 1:16Speaker 3: but only half in that. If I tell people what's
- 1:19Speaker 3: really deep in my heart of expectations, and that is
- 1:23Speaker 3: that Paxton wins and it ain't that close. And then
- 1:26Speaker 3: in Texas, Abbott and Patrick and everybody. And listen, I
- 1:32Speaker 3: think that Mike Rogers is going to beat Islamist radical
- 1:35Speaker 3: Abdul El-Sayed. I'd love to think that Michelle Tafoya can
- 1:39Speaker 3: win in Minnesota. But, you know, that's a long bridge
- 1:42Speaker 3: to cross. But ultimately, I think we're going to keep
- 1:44Speaker 3: the Senate at least by a couple of seats. And
- 1:48Speaker 3: I think the House is absolutely keepable and retrievable now.
- 1:54Speaker 3: And I and I don't I hope that in saying that,
- 1:57Speaker 3: that nobody listens to like, oh, the talk show guys
- 2:00Speaker 3: say we've got this in the bag, so I don't
- 2:02Speaker 3: need to go vote because the only way we're right
- 2:04Speaker 3: about this, the only way this quiet confidence pays off,
- 2:07Speaker 3: the only way that these honest feelings are OK to
- 2:11Speaker 3: share is if people with their vote actually go make
- 2:14Speaker 3: them true.
- 2:16Speaker 2: That's the only way. It's the only way it works.
- 2:18Speaker 2: The only chance we've got is if you show up.
- 2:20Speaker 2: If you show up, we win. If Americans, if normal
- 2:23Speaker 2: Americans get off the couch and stop doom scrolling and
- 2:28Speaker 2: go to the polling place and go vote. Early voting,
- 2:31Speaker 2: it's a good sign. I think Clay Travis just posted
- 2:34Speaker 2: that as of today after tomorrow, Republicans... are going to,
- 2:38Speaker 2: in early voting, overtake the mail-in ballots that Democrats love. Democrats,
- 2:43Speaker 2: they love them some mail-in ballots. You know it. But
- 2:46Speaker 2: you go early and you go vote. Early voting underway.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Go do your thing. You mentioned Abdul El-Sayed. Mark, did
- 2:56Speaker 2: you see the way he hijacked the interview with Brett Baer?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Sure did. All Brett Baer wanted to ask him was,
- 3:04Speaker 2: you wrote a letter saying, And admittedly, it was a
- 3:07Speaker 2: long time ago. It was 2012. But it's a reasonable thing.
- 3:10Speaker 2: If you or I wrote a letter in favor of
- 3:14Speaker 2: a terrorist organization, I think it might come up. That
- 3:17Speaker 2: could come up. Somebody might say, Mr. Davis, do you
- 3:20Speaker 2: still stand by your support of the Muslim Brotherhood? That's
- 3:24Speaker 2: all Brett Baer wanted to ask. I want to play
- 3:26Speaker 2: this just one more time today on the podcast so
- 3:30Speaker 2: you can hear what it sounds like, what it looks like,
- 3:34Speaker 2: to see sheer panic and terror. He obviously knew that
- 3:39Speaker 2: he can't answer this question. So he's going to take control.
- 3:43Speaker 2: He's going to tell Bret Baier how to do his job.
- 3:46Speaker 2: And he's going to steamroll Bret Baier into giving the
- 3:50Speaker 2: answer that Abdul El-Sayed preferred to give. Mike Rogers has
- 3:55Speaker 2: been really hitting this Muslim Brotherhood thing. I know you
- 3:58Speaker 2: don't want to talk about your family and the history there,
- 4:00Speaker 2: but he goes back to his campaign sites. No, no, no.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Let me just stop there. You are asking this question
- 4:07Speaker 4: to raise a question about whether or not I have
- 4:09Speaker 4: dual loyalty.
- 4:10Speaker 2: This is specific. His campaign sites say 2012 statements. My
- 4:12Speaker 2: loyalty will be to the Constitution of.
- 4:13Speaker 4: The United States.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 4:14Speaker 4: And as every senator who's ever served. I will swear
- 4:19Speaker 4: an oath to that Constitution.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I'm not interested.
- 4:21Speaker 4: I'm not interested in what you're going to pull out.
- 4:23Speaker 4: In a ridiculous 2012 statement, in.
- 4:25Speaker 2: A letter, you're going to pull that out of context.
- 4:28Speaker 4: You're going to ask questions about my allegiance.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Let me just be clear. This is Rogers' campaign. I'm
- 4:32Speaker 2: just asking you about that. Don't be Rogers' campaign. Be
- 4:34Speaker 2: a journalist.
- 4:37Speaker 4: So as a journalist, if you're asking the question about
- 4:39Speaker 4: my allegiance to the Constitution, I have never been a
- 4:41Speaker 4: member of the Muslim Brotherhood. I never will be a
- 4:42Speaker 4: member of the Muslim Brotherhood. I am interested in serving
- 4:45Speaker 4: the United States. I'm interested in swearing an oath to
- 4:47Speaker 4: the Constitution that every senator has sworn oath to. If
- 4:51Speaker 4: the question about my faith is the issue, which Mike
- 4:54Speaker 4: Rogers wants it to be... I think it is sad
- 4:56Speaker 4: and beneath him and frankly, beneath the president of the
- 4:59Speaker 4: United States to make that an issue, because under our Constitution,
- 5:02Speaker 4: you're guaranteed the right to pray as you choose to pray.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Who does you vote for? Now, Mark, that's that's panic
- 5:07Speaker 2: right there. That's that's terror. That's saying because because his answers,
- 5:11Speaker 2: if you noticed. Knowing what the question was likely going
- 5:14Speaker 2: to be, do you still support the Muslim Brotherhood? Brett
- 5:18Speaker 2: Baird wasn't going to say, are you a member of
- 5:20Speaker 2: the Muslim Brotherhood? No, exactly. He wasn't saying, I'm not
- 5:23Speaker 2: questioning your faith. We want to know, do you still
- 5:25Speaker 2: support the Muslim Brotherhood? And Mark, the answer is an
- 5:28Speaker 2: obvious yes. I think it is.
- 5:30Speaker 3: And that gives him no place specifically to go. And
- 5:33Speaker 3: I think he wants to occupy, he wants to wrap
- 5:35Speaker 3: himself in the honorable cloth of that any candidate can
- 5:39Speaker 3: wrap themselves in, which I've answered this question 50 times,
- 5:43Speaker 3: and I'm not going to answer it again. I mean,
- 5:44Speaker 3: we've seen Republicans try that when they've been asked the
- 5:46Speaker 3: same question 50 times. And if you haven't asked the
- 5:49Speaker 3: question and answered it sufficiently to the satisfaction of all,
- 5:53Speaker 3: then we can stop asking it. But there is a
- 5:55Speaker 3: question that remains about his affinity for, not membership in,
- 5:59Speaker 3: but affinity for, as you say, support of the Muslim Brotherhood.
- 6:03Speaker 3: which has led Mike Rogers and Donald Trump and, let
- 6:07Speaker 3: me see, a few other Mike Rogers supporters. I want
- 6:10Speaker 3: to run this by you. Ted Cruz, yeah, hello. Ted
- 6:13Speaker 3: Cruz on a show the other day said, I am
- 6:15Speaker 3: deeply concerned about this guy having Senate security clearance so
- 6:22Speaker 3: that he has access to intelligence documents and intelligence information
- 6:27Speaker 3: because I fear that precious American national security information being
- 6:32Speaker 3: funneled to the Muslim Brotherhood. Is that wildly hyperbolic or
- 6:37Speaker 3: right on target? It's completely on target. If you or
- 6:41Speaker 3: I wrote a letter, no matter how long ago it was,
- 6:45Speaker 3: in support of dangerous, violent jihadists, we might be on
- 6:49Speaker 3: a no-fly list or we would be scrutinized to get
- 6:52Speaker 3: on an airplane. You know, boarding passes sometimes have that
- 6:56Speaker 3: dreaded SSSS on.
- 6:59Speaker 2: The boarding pass. That means you're being flagged. You're being
- 7:03Speaker 2: flagged for something you've done. You're being flagged for something
- 7:07Speaker 2: that is on the record that makes you a potential
- 7:12Speaker 2: threat to the safety and security of the other passengers
- 7:15Speaker 2: and the crew on that plane. I'm not sure Abdul
- 7:18Speaker 2: El-Sayed wouldn't have that kind of scrutiny. I mean, hey,
- 7:22Speaker 2: let's let the one and only Donald Trump weigh in
- 7:25Speaker 2: on what kind of security precautions are going to have
- 7:28Speaker 2: to be in place if Abdul El-Sayed wins the Senate
- 7:32Speaker 2: race in Michigan.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Anyone with that record of support for jihadists would be
- 7:38Speaker 5: screened and unable to get a seat on an airplane.
- 7:42Speaker 5: They certainly should not give him a seat in the
- 7:44Speaker 5: United States Senate.
- 7:55Speaker 2: He would be the only senator that.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Will have to go through a metal detector before he's
- 7:59Speaker 5: allowed to go into the Senate.
- 8:01Speaker 2: I want him to have a metal detector. They're going
- 8:04Speaker 2: to have to pat him down. They're going to have
- 8:06Speaker 2: to strip search. They're going all in on this.
- 8:08Speaker 3: They sense that in Michigan there is some residual concern
- 8:13Speaker 3: about this guy, yes, about his allegiances, not about his faith.
- 8:17Speaker 3: We have religious freedom. You can pray however you like.
- 8:19Speaker 3: But if your religion has a subset that has put
- 8:23Speaker 3: it in conflict with American values, laws, then those are
- 8:28Speaker 3: completely fair questions. I feel like Rogers is going to
- 8:32Speaker 3: win this thing. I think he peaked too early. I
- 8:35Speaker 3: think his time has come and passed quickly. And I'm
- 8:37Speaker 3: feeling pretty good about Michigan.
- 8:40Speaker 2: You feel, El-Sayed. I feel Abdul. Abdul, as you speak.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Because he was on with Jesse Waters, and they had
- 8:45Speaker 3: some nice moments. And he does have a certain personality
- 8:48Speaker 3: that lends itself to coming across with, here's that word again, authenticity.
- 8:53Speaker 3: But ultimately, what we realize is that he's an authentic
- 8:56Speaker 3: egomaniac and authentically unwilling to answer some questions if they
- 9:01Speaker 3: annoy him. And he gets a little peckish, shall we say,
- 9:04Speaker 3: when those questions arise.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll tell– I love Brett– I had a good
- 9:08Speaker 2: line today. I was very proud of my line earlier today.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I said him telling Brett Baer to be a journalist,
- 9:16Speaker 2: I promise you, Brett Baer is a better journalist than
- 9:18Speaker 2: you are a doctor. Because he's– I'm not a doctor,
- 9:23Speaker 2: but I play– hey, we talk about authentic and authenticity.
- 9:28Speaker 2: We authentically love Preborn, our title sponsor of M &
- 9:30Speaker 2: M Extra. This summer, of course, marked the three-year anniversary
- 9:35Speaker 2: of the Dobbs decision. But that doesn't mean abortions are
- 9:38Speaker 2: going down. They're only increasing. But guess what? Preborn has
- 9:41Speaker 2: a beautiful mission. They give free ultrasounds to girls and women.
- 9:45Speaker 2: When a young woman sees her baby, hears her baby's heartbeat,
- 9:47Speaker 2: it doubles the chance she'll choose life. This success story
- 9:51Speaker 2: of the M & M Extra podcast community donating enough
- 9:55Speaker 2: to sponsor two full ultrasound machines to the tune of
- 9:59Speaker 2: 30 Mark, everybody in our company is talking about it,
- 10:03Speaker 2: but that just shows you how generous, how loving, how
- 10:06Speaker 2: giving our audience is. Because people know, hey, it makes sense.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I can't stop abortion on demand, but I can give
- 10:14Speaker 2: a young woman an opportunity to see her baby on
- 10:16Speaker 2: an ultrasound.
- 10:17Speaker 3: If we're going to have choice, and in most states
- 10:20Speaker 3: we are, then let's have people choose life. Let's provide
- 10:24Speaker 3: the kind of life-saving information, an ultrasound. Wow, that's a
- 10:27Speaker 3: baby growing inside me? I'm going to choose life. And
- 10:30Speaker 3: that's exactly what all y'all listening and watching have done.
- 10:33Speaker 3: And again, every 15 grand that we get, we could
- 10:36Speaker 3: get an actual ultrasound machine.
- 10:38Speaker 2: But right now, if you got 140 lying around.
- 10:40Speaker 3: That gives five mothers a free ultrasound and saves babies.
- 10:44Speaker 3: 280 helps save 10 babies. And just $ 28 a month
- 10:48Speaker 3: can save a baby a month for less than a
- 10:50Speaker 3: dollar a day. Listen, there's talk in the game, pro-life.
- 10:53Speaker 3: There's talk in the talk. This is walking the walk.
- 10:56Speaker 3: And we're so grateful. So anything you can do, 833-850-BABY, 833-850-BABY,
- 11:01Speaker 3: or go to preborn.com slash mmextra. And we thank you
- 11:08Speaker 3: enormously for all you do.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I spent the weekend in an Airbnb. The kids are
- 11:13Speaker 2: in town. We went to Disney World. I had a
- 11:16Speaker 2: fun Disney story and a couple of Florida stories. And
- 11:19Speaker 2: the Airbnb was nice. Oh, by the way, big drama
- 11:22Speaker 2: about Airbnb. Have you and Lisa used Airbnb before?
- 11:26Speaker 3: I blur on whether it's Airbnb or Vrbo, I guess.
- 11:30Speaker 3: But the short answer is yes, we have.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Well, there's a big– let me tell you about the
- 11:34Speaker 2: controversy after I tell you that there's no controversy over
- 11:37Speaker 2: sleeping on scratchy sheets. But you don't have to when
- 11:39Speaker 2: you've got the Giza Dream Sheets from MyPillow. Now, look,
- 11:42Speaker 2: this Airbnb was nice, but not the same as my
- 11:45Speaker 2: MyPillow Giza Dream bed sheets. And we are so proud
- 11:48Speaker 2: to welcome MyPillow to the M & M Extra community.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Great offer. Mike Lindell and MyPillow is back and bigger
- 11:55Speaker 2: than ever, better than ever. When you buy a premium MyPillow,
- 11:58Speaker 2: you'll get a second premium MyPillow absolutely free. This is
- 12:00Speaker 2: the pillow that started it all. The pillow that never
- 12:03Speaker 2: goes flat during the night. The pillow that conforms to
- 12:05Speaker 2: your neck and your back. and your head in a
- 12:07Speaker 2: way that no other pillow can. Throw it in the
- 12:10Speaker 2: washer and the dryer as often as you want. You
- 12:12Speaker 2: can't do that with an ordinary pillow, but you can.
- 12:14Speaker 2: And if you're a little bit of a germaphobe like
- 12:16Speaker 2: I am, this is music to your ears. MyPillow.com, promo
- 12:20Speaker 2: code EXTRA to get all these incredible prices. And Mark,
- 12:24Speaker 2: welcome to the MyPillow family.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Well, listen, I've been brought in through the advertising realm.
- 12:31Speaker 3: I was able to start talking nice about MyPillow, which
- 12:33Speaker 3: I've been familiar with forever. And then the thing is, well, like,
- 12:37Speaker 3: what do you need? And so I called my buddy
- 12:39Speaker 3: Mike Gallagher, who knows the product line well. He said, well,
- 12:41Speaker 3: why don't you hit them up with a couple of
- 12:43Speaker 3: pillows and maybe some sheets and maybe some towels. They
- 12:45Speaker 3: have arrived, and they are great. They are of the
- 12:48Speaker 3: highest quality, high thread count sheets. I need me some
- 12:51Speaker 3: high thread count sheets. I like towels to have a
- 12:53Speaker 3: certain feel, and they do. And needless to say, the pillows,
- 12:56Speaker 3: which are the beginning, the creation of the entire company,
- 13:00Speaker 3: the pillows are just fantastic. So I got all of them,
- 13:03Speaker 3: and I can't help. I can't wait to help with
- 13:06Speaker 3: the messaging of getting more people turned on to the
- 13:08Speaker 3: pillows and the sheets and the towels and everything MyPillow
- 13:11Speaker 3: does with our buddy Mike Lindell.
- 13:12Speaker 2: MyPillow.com, promo code extra. MyPillow.com, promo code extra. Or call 800-619-4830. 800-619-4830.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Sing along with us. For the best night's sleep in
- 13:21Speaker 2: the whole wide world, visit MyPillow.com. Promo code extra. So
- 13:34Speaker 2: let me tell you the Airbnb story. What do they do?
- 13:37Speaker 2: The drama is, first of all, Airbnb is rumored to
- 13:40Speaker 2: be like a leftist run organization. If you don't know
- 13:43Speaker 2: about Airbnb, it's like you can rent somebody's home. You
- 13:46Speaker 2: can rent an apartment. You can rent a condo. You
- 13:49Speaker 2: can even rent hotel rooms if it's through the, you know,
- 13:52Speaker 2: they might have an Airbnb relationship. And I think it's,
- 13:56Speaker 2: is it VRBO or VRBO? Do you say VRBO? I
- 14:00Speaker 2: say it. I use it as like an acronym and
- 14:02Speaker 2: make it VRBO. I think you say VRBO. Well, no, no, no, no.
- 14:05Speaker 2: No VRBO.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Because it's an acronym for like, it's Vacation Rentals by Owner.
- 14:10Speaker 2: By owner. Got it. But Airbnb is one such site,
- 14:13Speaker 2: and I've used it for years. Well, they're changing the rules.
- 14:17Speaker 2: It used to be when you'd rent an apartment, like
- 14:19Speaker 2: I did over the weekend, they'd say, all right, when
- 14:22Speaker 2: you're done, strip the beds, take out the trash, run
- 14:27Speaker 2: the dishwasher. You know, you had to like do some
- 14:31Speaker 2: housekeeping for yourself. Well, they also charge you a cleaning fee.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Of course. So finally, Airbnb said, all right, we got
- 14:38Speaker 2: to compete with hotels. Business is down. Why are we
- 14:42Speaker 2: doing this? So they're throwing all that out the window
- 14:44Speaker 2: and they're not going to make people in who visit
- 14:47Speaker 2: do all that. You don't have to take out the trash. Well,
- 14:50Speaker 2: but the but the but the owners, the people that.
- 14:53Speaker 2: are renting out their homes are furious because they want
- 14:56Speaker 2: the people that are staying to take out the trash
- 14:59Speaker 2: and strip the beds and do all that stuff. And
- 15:02Speaker 2: so there's this huge controversy on social media about– But
- 15:06Speaker 2: isn't that double dipping?
- 15:07Speaker 3: I mean because let's say– because I've never– I mean
- 15:09Speaker 3: I've stayed in a lot of– a few rentals. I
- 15:10Speaker 3: want to ask you what you like better, the vacation
- 15:12Speaker 3: rental or the hotel experience. But if I put up–
- 15:16Speaker 3: if I had some– if I had a vacation property
- 15:19Speaker 3: or a property that I put up on Vrbo or Airbnb,
- 15:21Speaker 3: am I not getting part of that fee? So I'm
- 15:24Speaker 3: wanting a slice of the fee and– I mean the
- 15:27Speaker 3: cleaning fee. And then also for the people to clean
- 15:30Speaker 3: up after themselves. That would seem like it would be
- 15:32Speaker 3: an either-or kind of thing.
- 15:34Speaker 2: King Tut always prefers a hotel room. Give me a
- 15:36Speaker 2: hotel any day of the week over a vacation rental.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Me too.
- 15:40Speaker 3: I like when people come clean stuff. There is something
- 15:42Speaker 3: cool about having your own place and doing your own shopping,
- 15:45Speaker 3: doing your own cooking. I mean, there's a time and
- 15:47Speaker 3: a place.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Well, and it makes sense. In our case, we had
- 15:51Speaker 2: a house full of kids over the weekend. And so
- 15:54Speaker 2: if you've got a lot of people, that makes it–
- 15:56Speaker 2: because it was like $ 300 a night for a townhouse
- 15:59Speaker 2: with like four bedrooms in it. So that's the economical idea.
- 16:04Speaker 2: But in terms of just me traveling, no, thank you.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I'll do a hotel room every time. I often do
- 16:10Speaker 2: Disney resorts when we go to Disney. How about my
- 16:14Speaker 2: Florida experience? And I touched upon both things that happened
- 16:18Speaker 2: to me over the weekend. I was amazed by this. Well,
- 16:20Speaker 2: story number one, we're pulling over into one of the
- 16:23Speaker 2: theme parks, Animal Kingdom. And at Disney World, there's four parks,
- 16:28Speaker 2: Magic Kingdom, Epcot. the Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. And
- 16:34Speaker 2: we were pulling into the Animal Kingdom parking lot. One
- 16:36Speaker 2: of the kids wanted to go to Animal Kingdom. And
- 16:38Speaker 2: as we're driving in, I see this lady leaving the
- 16:41Speaker 2: park by herself, middle-aged lady, 40s, Mickey ears on, which
- 16:46Speaker 2: is a bad, well, that's a warning sign. If you're
- 16:50Speaker 2: an adult, please don't wear the stupid Mickey ears. Oh,
- 16:53Speaker 2: you never rocked some ears on the property? As an adult? Okay.
- 16:57Speaker 5: Okay.
- 16:58Speaker 2: No, Mark, and I don't go around and dress up
- 17:00Speaker 2: in costumes for Halloween either.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Okay, all right.
- 17:03Speaker 2: So this angry-looking leftist is, I'm going to guess, marching
- 17:08Speaker 2: out of the park with her Mickey ears on. And
- 17:10Speaker 2: the reason I say I think she's a leftist, she
- 17:12Speaker 2: sees a car coming towards her, driving in the parking
- 17:15Speaker 2: lot slowly. It's a family. It's a young family. And
- 17:18Speaker 2: I could see it was two kind of young kids
- 17:20Speaker 2: in the back seat, mom and dad. They're in a Tesla.
- 17:23Speaker 2: What did the lady do? Gave them the middle finger.
- 17:26Speaker 2: gave the mom, the dad, and the two little kids
- 17:28Speaker 2: in the backseat the middle finger, all because they happened
- 17:32Speaker 2: to be in a Tesla. Are we back to that again?
- 17:35Speaker 2: Because like you said this morning, it's exhausting to keep up. First,
- 17:39Speaker 2: the liberals love Tesla. Then they didn't love it because
- 17:41Speaker 2: of Elon. Now I thought they were back to loving
- 17:43Speaker 2: it again.
- 17:43Speaker 3: And I still believe that the vast majority of Teslas are–
- 17:46Speaker 3: maybe not vast because a lot of conservatives are– because
- 17:49Speaker 3: they love Elon. So if there's one electric car they're
- 17:52Speaker 3: going to buy, it's going to be a Tesla. But
- 17:53Speaker 3: I still think that if you see 100 Teslas on
- 17:56Speaker 3: the road, that a majority of them are driven by
- 17:59Speaker 3: Democrats because they just are more electric car friendly. So
- 18:02Speaker 3: flip it a bird to a Tesla. It's a real crapshoot.
- 18:06Speaker 3: You don't know who you're affecting. And how would you know?
- 18:10Speaker 2: But my point is how miserable the woman has to be,
- 18:14Speaker 2: how sad it is that here she is at Disney World,
- 18:17Speaker 2: supposedly the most happiest place, and she's marching around giving
- 18:21Speaker 2: the middle finger to a stranger full of people. A
- 18:23Speaker 2: car full of strangers because she's a jerk and a
- 18:27Speaker 2: miserable hag. Sorry, I said it. I mean, and incidentally,
- 18:31Speaker 2: you mentioned conservatives. You know who bought a Tesla recently
- 18:34Speaker 2: and you're so excited about? David Limbaugh, Rush's brother. Cool.
- 18:37Speaker 2: He's now a Tesla owner. So more and more conservatives.
- 18:40Speaker 2: And I've told you, one of my kids says, I
- 18:42Speaker 2: drive it every day. It's the best driving experience I've
- 18:46Speaker 2: ever had in my life. It is that full self-drive.
- 18:50Speaker 2: You push that button. Man, you don't go. You know
- 18:53Speaker 2: what we did the other day? One of the kids
- 18:55Speaker 2: had the Tesla. We had the Tesla over the weekend. Yeah.
- 18:59Speaker 2: It has a thing called Summon.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Now, we were at this— Oh, where you walk out
- 19:04Speaker 3: of a building and it comes to you from whatever
- 19:07Speaker 3: parking space it's in?
- 19:09Speaker 2: It comes to you from wherever it's parked. Oh, my gosh. Now,
- 19:13Speaker 2: let me tell you, this was a— and it makes me
- 19:15Speaker 2: nervous with people all walking around with grocery carts and everything.
- 19:18Speaker 3: If it kills somebody on the way to get you,
- 19:21Speaker 3: is it your fault?
- 19:22Speaker 2: No, I'm blaming Elon. I'll give them the middle finger. No,
- 19:28Speaker 2: we pushed the summon button. And you want to know why?
- 19:32Speaker 2: We couldn't find the car. Oh, no. It's this massive
- 19:36Speaker 2: parking lot, and we forgot where we parked. Been there.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I said, well, let's try summon. Stood there with the app,
- 19:43Speaker 2: pushed the button. There it comes. It pulls out of
- 19:46Speaker 2: the parking space. It drives right up to us. Blinkers
- 19:49Speaker 2: are on. The hazard lights are on. Pulls right up
- 19:52Speaker 2: in front of you. And it's smooth as can be.
- 19:55Speaker 2: That's the future, Mark. It's here.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I know.
- 19:57Speaker 2: I know. Think about you and Lisa at the grocery.
- 20:00Speaker 2: You're over at the Tom Thumb. Your arm's full of groceries,
- 20:02Speaker 2: and it's pouring down rain. Yeah. You push the button.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Car comes right up in front of the entrance and
- 20:07Speaker 2: picks you up. Not bad. Not a bad time to
- 20:11Speaker 2: be alive. But speaking of that aforementioned Walmart, this giant
- 20:16Speaker 2: super center, and one of the kids needed nail clippers.
- 20:20Speaker 2: I go into the Walmart in Kissimmee, Florida, to try
- 20:23Speaker 2: to get a pair of nail clippers. And I go
- 20:26Speaker 2: to four different people. One, two, three, four. The blue
- 20:30Speaker 2: vest on. How may I help you? Can I help you?
- 20:32Speaker 2: Can I be helpful? I'm Walmart. I'm a greeter. I'm
- 20:35Speaker 2: a helper. I'm a stock boy. Whatever I got. None
- 20:38Speaker 2: of them spoke a word of English. Not one word.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I'm running out of ways to try to mimic what
- 20:43Speaker 2: a nail clipper looks like with facial gestures, like doing
- 20:46Speaker 2: the scissors motion on my little fingers and trying to...
- 20:50Speaker 2: And Tracy, our producer, she jumps out of her seat
- 20:53Speaker 2: and says, Mike, that ain't just the Orlando area.
- 20:56Speaker 5: No, no.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Tampa... Pinellas everywhere. Texas, where I couldn't find something in
- 21:01Speaker 2: the produce section.
- 21:02Speaker 3: And just as I, just by being in Texas— can
- 21:06Speaker 3: pick up a little bit of functional Spanish just by osmosis.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I would think that would work in reverse.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Every once in a while, I'll be asking somebody, and
- 21:15Speaker 3: I'm more upbeat on Walmart.
- 21:17Speaker 2: We love Walmart. Great company. Unbelievable. Love them.
- 21:20Speaker 3: I'm there all the time. They have a ton of
- 21:21Speaker 3: my money, and they will continue to. But doggone it, man.
- 21:24Speaker 3: When I ask a question to somebody, and they just
- 21:27Speaker 3: have absolutely no idea what a basic word is, what
- 21:30Speaker 3: kind of bubble Do you have to live in here
- 21:33Speaker 3: in what is supposedly America in order to be locked
- 21:36Speaker 3: and loaded into only your native tongue? Probably for years.
- 21:40Speaker 2: It's infuriating. It's just it's maddening. It goes back to
- 21:45Speaker 2: remember how mad everybody got when they were first doing
- 21:48Speaker 2: outgoing messages. And, you know, for English, press one. Come on.
- 21:52Speaker 2: If you're going to go to another country. And you
- 22:02Speaker 2: want to enjoy the benefits of the country. And you
- 22:04Speaker 2: want to work in the, I don't know, customer service field.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 22:08Speaker 3: If there's one place where you're wearing a vest that says,
- 22:11Speaker 3: can I help?
- 22:13Speaker 2: Well, the answer is no, you can't if you're not functional.
- 22:17Speaker 2: For crying out loud. It's so sad to me. And
- 22:21Speaker 2: it's all about assimilation. And it's going to get a
- 22:23Speaker 2: lot worse. Incidentally, I was wondering about. The total population
- 22:28Speaker 2: in Michigan, we go back to Abdul El-Sayed and Mike Rogers. Right.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Because you look, Dearborn now is completely a Muslim city.
- 22:35Speaker 2: It is lost. Right. But they're, well, easy there, Skippy.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Lost because it's Muslim?
- 22:41Speaker 3: Lost to Western culture. Lost to anyone wandering through there
- 22:45Speaker 3: who would like to think that it reflects anything that
- 22:49Speaker 3: looks remotely like America. So, yes, I will stick with that.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Fair enough. And incidentally, and aren't there cities? What about Texas?
- 22:57Speaker 2: Are there communities that are becoming predominantly Muslim? No, no, no.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Okay, well, if you walk around DFW and refer to
- 23:07Speaker 3: the Indian takeover, everyone will know exactly what you're talking about.
- 23:12Speaker 3: If you're at Costco in Southlake, and Lisa and I
- 23:17Speaker 3: are there, we may be, I mean, one way or
- 23:20Speaker 3: the other. And by the way, I'm prepared not to
- 23:22Speaker 3: care about this. the only white people in a store
- 23:25Speaker 3: with 5,000 people in it. Now, again, I don't care
- 23:29Speaker 3: what color anybody is.
- 23:30Speaker 2: I don't. I truly don't.
- 23:32Speaker 3: But if there's any assimilation, and by the way, the
- 23:35Speaker 3: Indian issue, not exactly the same. A lot of the
- 23:38Speaker 3: Indian folks are Hindu. It's not exactly the same as
- 23:40Speaker 3: the Muslim issue, obviously. But people wonder about culture. They
- 23:44Speaker 3: wonder about assimilation. They wonder about the most people. View
- 23:49Speaker 3: that as a kind of an immigration issue where maybe
- 23:52Speaker 3: through H-1B visa fraud, we're simply welcoming in way too
- 23:56Speaker 3: many people. And that may be costing American jobs. So
- 23:59Speaker 3: that's the answer.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's sort of akin to walking into
- 24:05Speaker 2: a black community. If you're in a store, maybe you
- 24:08Speaker 2: got a Walmart in a black neighborhood and you got
- 24:09Speaker 2: a lot of black customers and staff there. And people
- 24:12Speaker 2: who work there, who cares? I mean, nobody really cares.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I don't. No, nobody should or would. But on the
- 24:20Speaker 2: other hand, you're right. If you've got a bunch of
- 24:22Speaker 2: non-English speaking people working with the blue vests on, that
- 24:26Speaker 2: is deeply problematic. So I want to go back to
- 24:29Speaker 2: what we just said about Michigan. And this is something
- 24:33Speaker 2: I've been looking for. Ah, darn it, you scrolled over, Tracy.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I can't see it. Because here's the population of The
- 24:40Speaker 2: total population— About 10 million in the state? Over 10 million.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And the Muslim population, 270,000. Which is funny, which is a— wow. 2.7%. 2%.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I wonder what it was 20, 30 years ago. Like nothing. Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 2: but so be it. All right, let's say it's 2.7%.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Right.
- 25:00Speaker 3: That means 97% of Michiganders are not in.
- 25:03Speaker 2: The Muslim population. Not Muslim. Check back in 10 years.
- 25:17Speaker 2: But you think– but so do you think the Muslim
- 25:19Speaker 2: population can take Abdul El-Sayed over the finish line? Oh, gotcha.
- 25:23Speaker 2: With 2%? I get it. I get it. I get it.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Not by themselves. Not by themselves.
- 25:27Speaker 3: But if Abdul wins, it will be because stupid liberals
- 25:32Speaker 3: of every race have bought into his BS. Or maybe
- 25:36Speaker 3: they're smart liberals. Maybe they do well on Jeopardy, but
- 25:39Speaker 3: they're just misguided on issues as.
- 25:40Speaker 2: We think they are. I don't have that many smart liberals.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I mean, book smart, but not wisdom, you know.
- 25:46Speaker 3: So, yeah, it'll it'll be it'll it'll be woke people
- 25:49Speaker 3: of various.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Oh, good Lord. Who's the actor? Who's the actor? He's
- 25:53Speaker 2: so good. Mandy Patinkin.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Have you seen Mandy Patinkin with his big white rabbi
- 25:58Speaker 3: beard saying we need a multiracial Senate in order to
- 26:02Speaker 3: achieve Jewish safety?
- 26:05Speaker 2: Vote for Abdul for Jewish safety. Are you on crack?
- 26:09Speaker 5: I know.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. And that blew up over the weekend.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Mandy Patinkin's video went— And I love him. I love
- 26:16Speaker 2: him so much. Oh, but what an insufferable dolt for
- 26:20Speaker 2: Jewish safety. Yeah.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 2: For Jewish safety, let's go to the guy who refuses
- 26:24Speaker 2: to denounce the Muslim Brotherhood.
- 26:26Speaker 3: And who refuses to answer the question, does Israel have
- 26:29Speaker 3: the right to exist?
- 26:30Speaker 2: Great move. I've got an answer. I've got an answer
- 26:34Speaker 2: to a question you might have about the future of AI.
- 26:36Speaker 2: What happens when AI follows our instructions just a little
- 26:40Speaker 2: too well? At the heart of the book Carbon Zero,
- 26:43Speaker 2: which is this techno thriller from AI pioneer Craig W. Stanfill.
- 26:47Speaker 2: That's the question. And we've had him back. I'm going
- 26:50Speaker 2: to bring him back on the show, I think, in
- 26:51Speaker 2: the next week or two. I love this book. Brilliant
- 26:55Speaker 2: young AI researcher. who jokingly tells an advanced AI to
- 26:59Speaker 2: stop global warming, thinking luck can go wrong. Plenty goes wrong.
- 27:03Speaker 2: It's a novel. You know the old cliche, Mark. It's
- 27:05Speaker 2: a page turner. You can't put it down. You loved it.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I loved it. Carbon Zero. This was the case. It
- 27:10Speaker 2: absolutely was. I mean, I went through it.
- 27:11Speaker 3: I usually read it nighttime, sometimes in the day if
- 27:13Speaker 3: I've got a free moment. I got through this thing
- 27:15Speaker 3: faster than I thought because I literally found myself looking
- 27:18Speaker 3: for the next window of opportunity to continue working through
- 27:20Speaker 3: the plot line of Carbon Zero, which is really good
- 27:23Speaker 3: just as dystopian fiction is. But it's informed by Craig's
- 27:26Speaker 3: knowledge of the subject matter. And believable is a weird
- 27:31Speaker 3: word because it obviously is something that you hope will
- 27:33Speaker 3: never happen. It seems like science fiction of a sort.
- 27:36Speaker 3: But it is believable in that it's plausible. And it
- 27:39Speaker 3: really makes you think where this whole AI thing is going.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Carbon Zero. Look for it on Amazon. Carbon Zero by
- 27:45Speaker 2: Craig W. Stanfill. You're going to love this book. You're
- 27:47Speaker 2: also going to love the pain relief that is 100%
- 27:49Speaker 2: drug-free from our friends at at Relief Factor. And courtesy
- 27:53Speaker 2: of Relief Factor, Mark Davis, now a big believer as well.
- 27:57Speaker 2: If you're suffering from leg, shoulder, neck, hip, Knee pain,
- 28:02Speaker 2: why don't you give us a three-week period for just
- 28:05Speaker 2: $ 17. 1776 to see if we can get you into pain-free living.
- 28:10Speaker 2: That's the Relief Factor story. And I like what they did, Mark. $ 17. 76,
- 28:14Speaker 2: get it? For America's 250th. They are patriotic. They love America.
- 28:19Speaker 3: And they love people. They want people to be out
- 28:21Speaker 3: of pain the way Mike is, the way I am.
- 28:23Speaker 3: The stories you've told of a guy, there was a
- 28:25Speaker 3: guy in one of your anecdotal stories, he'd kind of
- 28:28Speaker 3: had it with supplements. It's like, I think I've done
- 28:30Speaker 3: this enough. But he had some pain issues, decided I'm
- 28:32Speaker 3: going to give one more shot here to Relief Factor.
- 28:34Speaker 3: And it was a success story for him. So what
- 28:36Speaker 3: will your success story be? Only one way to find out. ReliefFactor.com,
- 28:40Speaker 3: ReliefFactor.com or 1-800-4-RELIEF, 1-800-4-RELIEF, ReliefFactor.com. Hey, can I throw you,
- 28:49Speaker 3: give me one more thing and then I got one
- 28:51Speaker 3: more thing and then we'll get out of here.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Go. What's your thing? Well, no, no. I was just
- 28:54Speaker 2: going to say a week from tomorrow, we got a
- 28:56Speaker 2: big night planned. We're going to be on Salem News
- 28:59Speaker 2: Channel and on hundreds of radio stations around the country.
- 29:01Speaker 2: You bragged about being at your favorite election viewing perch
- 29:05Speaker 2: on the couch with your lovely– Yeah, well, but the
- 29:08Speaker 2: good thing about the house is it has a laptop.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Come on. We've got to figure some way out to
- 29:12Speaker 2: include you in our election coverage.
- 29:14Speaker 3: As I've said, any time– because it's funny. Assembling all
- 29:19Speaker 3: of this, so you're going to kind of serve as
- 29:21Speaker 3: an anchor for this, welcoming all kinds of people from
- 29:24Speaker 3: all kinds of places.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Yes.
- 29:25Speaker 3: If you ever need to come to me to kill
- 29:27Speaker 3: three or four minutes of analysis on the fly, I
- 29:30Speaker 3: am absolutely right there for you. Love to do it.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Happy to do it because I have a feeling. Can
- 29:35Speaker 3: you imagine what it's going to be like a week
- 29:36Speaker 3: from tomorrow as we're doing this? Most people just... get
- 29:40Speaker 3: to have their emotions in their home, in their own
- 29:43Speaker 3: personal space. I, in particular, be on social media making
- 29:47Speaker 3: appearances with you. You're going to be leading us through
- 29:51Speaker 3: this coverage of things. It's either going to go great
- 29:54Speaker 3: and you will feel the energy of success and the
- 29:56Speaker 3: energy of good news coursing through your veins or Or, wow,
- 30:01Speaker 3: it's going to be really daunting.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Devastating. Tune in to watch Mark and Mike weep. We'll
- 30:07Speaker 2: be weeping openly. Exactly. If you want to. We will
- 30:10Speaker 2: weep openly.
- 30:12Speaker 3: First of all, I think that I say to you
- 30:17Speaker 3: that with every passing day, I would probably like you
- 30:23Speaker 3: can see everything. even a little more it's totally true
- 30:26Speaker 3: the more i think about it the more and i
- 30:28Speaker 3: it struck me as a bb plus really great thoroughly
- 30:31Speaker 3: i don't think i loved it as much as you
- 30:32Speaker 3: did but i really really liked it but the more
- 30:34Speaker 3: i think about it the more i really do admire
- 30:36Speaker 3: it and so everybody run out and see this remarkable
- 30:38Speaker 3: documentary but.
- 30:39Speaker 2: I want to see it i want to i want
- 30:41Speaker 2: to go again i want to see it i kind.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Of do too to to sort of see things that
- 30:44Speaker 3: i don't ever i don't ever do that hardly well.
- 30:47Speaker 2: I want to go again because i had to go
- 30:48Speaker 2: to the bathroom in the middle of the long movie
- 30:50Speaker 2: it's a three-hour movie And I missed the scene about
- 30:53Speaker 2: who's on first. I think that's a pretty powerful scene
- 30:56Speaker 2: where they watch that and sort of lend that and
- 30:58Speaker 2: tie that in. She didn't understand it. She said she
- 31:01Speaker 2: didn't understand the premise. And you also did. You also
- 31:05Speaker 2: think and this is the other thing. You made this
- 31:07Speaker 2: thing even better for me. In the notion that Elizabeth Holmes,
- 31:10Speaker 2: who appears to be she's obviously brilliant in a certain way,
- 31:13Speaker 2: but she also seems to be kind of naive and,
- 31:17Speaker 2: you know, and you and you you're offering the possibility
- 31:20Speaker 2: that every single bit of that is a complete manipulative act. Right.
- 31:24Speaker 2: There you go. Well, look, that's the question. Is she acting?
- 31:30Speaker 2: Let's have our audience go see it. It's a fascinating movie.
- 31:33Speaker 2: You can see everything. And what's your TV recommendation? Okay,
- 31:36Speaker 2: here we go. Netflix, it's all there.
- 31:39Speaker 3: I am so spoiled that if there's a show that
- 31:42Speaker 3: only comes out week by week that makes me wait
- 31:44Speaker 3: an actual week, I'm bitter and angry. I like to go, bam,
- 31:48Speaker 3: hit me with those episodes and let me binge this thing.
- 31:51Speaker 3: I think we've talked about it.
- 31:52Speaker 2: I don't know. This is the fourth season. Much is
- 31:56Speaker 2: made lately of.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Matthew Reese, incredibly talented actor who was in Widow's Bay
- 32:00Speaker 3: and other things. But I think he had didn't get
- 32:02Speaker 3: two Emmys for two separate things.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Yeah. He was in something else, too. Yeah.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Are they is he is he married to Keri Russell
- 32:09Speaker 3: or they just been longtime partners? I think they're married.
- 32:12Speaker 3: And they, of course, were together in The Americans, one
- 32:14Speaker 3: of the best TV shows ever.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Keri Russell.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Is Kate Wyler, Ambassador Kate Wyler, in The Things We
- 32:19Speaker 3: Want for Four Seasons, The Diplomat. Mike, TV does not
- 32:24Speaker 3: get any better than this. She's the ambassador to the
- 32:28Speaker 3: UK from America. Allison Janney is a very troubling president
- 32:32Speaker 3: of the United States. An actual British actor named Rufus
- 32:35Speaker 3: Sewell plays her husband, Kerry Russell's husband, Hal.
- 32:39Speaker 2: It is. It's intrigue. It's cloak and dagger.
- 32:43Speaker 3: It's massive geopolitical things, but it's also they're crazy on again,
- 32:47Speaker 3: off again.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Marriage.
- 32:48Speaker 3: The Diplomat on Netflix is the best show of the year.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Wow. And I'm going to start binging Breaking Bad. My son, Trevor,
- 32:57Speaker 2: is furious at me. I've never seen Breaking Bad. He said, Dad,
- 33:01Speaker 2: I joined his. I took me forever.
