contract anyway, and I felt like, at the time I had made,

what I had ran, 64 and doors. I had made the Olympic team in

some, we're proving myself. Yeah, and so Adidas came back

and was like, Hey man, we don't keep you to option year and I

was like I want the option here because I know what's going to

come out the back end of that. I'm not gonna make the team, I'm

not gonna run fast. Y'all gonna give me basically

Pennies on the dollar when you don't have any you know, help

somebody So I was like, you know what, I can get more money than

this on somebody's practice Co-op.

So I had made up my mind at the end of 2016 that I was leaving

and I did end up doing a rookie minicamp with the Carolina

Panthers and the New Orleans Saints, which one of the doctors

told me like yeah, but I think you need to just shut it down

and go get you a hernia repair surgery because you ain't, you

ain't got them ability. So I get the surgery, May 31st

of 2017 and then five look like five weeks.

Out of my surgery, the Cowboys called me like a want to fly you

out to California. Try you out, whatever I go out.

They're around like 4:45 in a 40 and I'm a track.

Got they want to see me. Run something stupid.

Get inside me like a week later. Indianapolis calls me.

Bringing me in. I run had a good workout, they

signed me on the spot. I was there for about a month

and a half doing a training camp and stuff and at the end of the

training camp, they cut me. So I was like, okay, I know what

the NFL training camp looks like.

So I know kind of how to prepare myself, you know.

So the very next year I go, I try for Seattle.

I make the team I go in, you know, I'm on and off the squad

training cut cut cut. He comes, I get cut.

I'm like all right man and yeah, the time I had my son so I was

like, you know what, I got one more in me.

I got one more shot and if it don't work out, I'm going back.

2019 rolls around and they started this whole new league

called a f. First game of the season first

punt return, I drop it on that can TV, run up to get it.

And I run into somebody and they broke my arm, it's on some on

some crazy stuff. I just broke long.

And so I come back. I was out six weeks, I come back

week seven like, okay, this is my big break.

Like, I've weathered the storm, this is where you persevere.

We're going out to practice, they call us back in the locker

room and tell us that the league has folded, there's no more

money. Alex like, are you kidding me,

So I was like, all right, that's my sign if there ever was one.

So in the in the 2019 I go by come back to track.

You know, I called Ramon Regis, I called Chris Braman shout out,

Lance Brockman, and I told him I was coming back, you know,

Brahma welcomed me back with open arms.

I was trading there for a little bit until indoors came out to

USA is Iran with 649. I got a I got second behind

But remember the world indoors that they just moved.

Then it got moved. And then I came to give me to

call and, but it was like, obviously, you got to change

coaches, you know, I was done with that and then ultimately

ended up here and in Jacksonville Arena.

So this now we had 20/20, you know, covid hits all the meat

co-counsel everything but Dennis decide to put something together

down and Claremont, right? And I go down and I knew like, I

knew I wasn't feeling, right, but I ain't the type.

I like to make excuses. I was like maybe it's just some

pre-race jitters. No, I ran 1031.

I was like alright yeah I definitely feel it, right?

Go back one day, you know, go back to the drummer boy's figure

it out. I did not make the practice

Monday. I know going to the hospital and

I had an appendectomy because my appendix ruptured.

So like I said I knew something wasn't right but I still want

It's been like five or six days in the hospital.

Get out, I was home for two days, went back to the hospital

and I ended up having, I spent three and a half weeks in the

hospital. I had a blockage in my lower

intestine so they had to Cut me open, take it out.

You know, it's just it's saving me back together.

I was enough about three and a half weeks had like, drains in

my hip and like everything. And I wasn't really like back,

right, again till like September of 2020.

And it's funny because I text right now, like, yo, I'm back on

my feet, like, everything, you know, feeling back to normal.

He's like great practice starts on the 17th.
