- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast.
- 0:03Speaker 2: With on our radio.
- 0:06Speaker 3: It's Almost Famous podcast, and we're back for another Frankie Friday,
- 0:10Speaker 3: the day we round up all the latest news on
- 0:13Speaker 3: Taylor Frankie Paul.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Today.
- 0:16Speaker 3: I'm really excited to be in Carmel, California and joined
- 0:20Speaker 3: by one of the most beautiful, kind and considerate humans
- 0:24Speaker 3: to ever walk through the Bachelor franchise. And she Mary Dean,
- 0:29Speaker 3: which is still confusing to me.
- 0:31Speaker 4: Kaylin Bell, Hello and nice intro.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Uh okay, So I just for listeners out there as
- 0:39Speaker 3: we get this started. Frankie Friday has been a huge hit,
- 0:43Speaker 3: but they're used to Ashley breaking down these headlines. Ashley
- 0:47Speaker 3: has taken it upon herself to really dig into Taylor
- 0:49Speaker 3: Frankie Paul's life. How familiar are you with Taylor Frankie Paul?
- 0:56Speaker 1: I feel like so, I've watched all of the seasons.
- 0:59Speaker 1: How many are there too?
- 1:00Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Oh, your way ahead of both of us.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Yeah, so I feel well versed in that sense. I
- 1:05Speaker 1: haven't really kept up with her since she's stopped filming
- 1:09Speaker 1: The Bachelorette.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Are you Are you excited about her getting announced as
- 1:15Speaker 3: the Bachelorette?
- 1:16Speaker 4: Yeah? I think we desperately needed a shake up.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Huh.
- 1:19Speaker 4: This is definitely.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Shaking up what we know, so I'm excited to see
- 1:25Speaker 1: see how it goes. It's also so interesting that she
- 1:27Speaker 1: was filming TikTok's the entire time she was filming.
- 1:29Speaker 2: It's a whole new landscape for the child.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Yeah, they allowed her access to her life while she
- 1:37Speaker 3: was on the show.
- 1:38Speaker 1: And filming with guys that she's on dates with. You know,
- 1:40Speaker 1: there's one she was on a football field, like holding
- 1:42Speaker 1: someone's hand.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, So it's.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Interesting and I actually don't know this is a good
- 1:46Speaker 3: point to kind of kick us off. I actually don't
- 1:48Speaker 3: know now if it helped the show much at all.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I mean, I think they did it because they wanted
- 1:52Speaker 3: people talking about it, and I do think people were
- 1:56Speaker 3: talking about it. But I still think the most important
- 1:59Speaker 3: thing they can do is make the season great because
- 2:02Speaker 3: so many fans of The Bachelor at and Bachelor aren't
- 2:06Speaker 3: really following people on social media. They might be older,
- 2:09Speaker 3: you know, they might just watch the show for entertainment.
- 2:12Speaker 3: So I don't actually know if giving her access to
- 2:15Speaker 3: her phone like spiked the interest in this season. I
- 2:18Speaker 3: think it was already going to be something people are
- 2:20Speaker 3: interested about.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I agree.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think it was necessary, but I do
- 2:24Speaker 1: think what we loved, you know, like your season old
- 2:27Speaker 1: school seasons is the messiness and it's I just feel.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Like it's going to be messy.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Oh. I agree.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I think it's going to be like the I think
- 2:35Speaker 3: it will feel like a throwback season where people are
- 2:39Speaker 3: like grown men are weeping. Yeah, they're crying, they're frustrated.
- 2:44Speaker 3: We need that again, we need investment from everybody involved. Yes,
- 2:48Speaker 3: And the one thing we've learned about Taylor Frankie Paul
- 2:50Speaker 3: along the way so far is that she will invest
- 2:53Speaker 3: into this. She is, she's passionate, she's outspoken, and I
- 3:00Speaker 3: think that's going to make for a great season. Now,
- 3:03Speaker 3: let's kick it off with some of the headlines that
- 3:05Speaker 3: have been happening since last Friday. We'll start with this one.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Taylor Frankie Paul wonders if she's worthy of love in
- 3:14Speaker 3: the first promo for The Bachelorette Season twenty two. The
- 3:17Speaker 3: promo was recently released. You can go out and watch
- 3:20Speaker 3: it or google it and find it. The quote here
- 3:24Speaker 3: is she's questioning if she's worthy of love.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I just think It's very interesting to have someone who's
- 3:30Speaker 1: already been on reality TV. I think it's three seasons now.
- 3:34Speaker 1: People have followed her on TikTok and we've seen her
- 3:37Speaker 1: I just I'm so curious about this season. We've seen
- 3:39Speaker 1: her family be like really mean and vicious to her
- 3:42Speaker 1: on these seasons and kind of tell her like you're
- 3:44Speaker 1: not worthy of love in a sense.
- 3:46Speaker 4: So it makes sense that she's questioning this.
- 3:49Speaker 3: When you say family, we've had her her mom on
- 3:52Speaker 3: the show. Her mom seems supportive. Does she come off
- 3:56Speaker 3: supportive on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
- 3:58Speaker 1: There is one episode where they're sitting down and her
- 4:01Speaker 1: stepdad is kind of like blaming her for everything that's
- 4:03Speaker 1: happening in the relationship.
- 4:04Speaker 4: I can't remember it.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I just remember it being hard to watch and the
- 4:08Speaker 1: family's kind of like for Dakota and against her is
- 4:11Speaker 1: how it felt.
- 4:12Speaker 3: So Dakota kind of has a team. Yeah, we're speaking
- 4:15Speaker 3: of Dakota. His new girlfriend slams Taylor, Frankie Paul and
- 4:21Speaker 3: the comments underneath the official Bachelor at Instagram. So this
- 4:25Speaker 3: promo is released again, you go out and watch it.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Ashley did a whole breakdown of the trailer that you
- 4:31Speaker 3: can kind of go listen to on the almost famous
- 4:33Speaker 3: thread if you want, like the details of what was
- 4:36Speaker 3: going on in the trailer. But Dakota's girlfriend takes it
- 4:41Speaker 3: upon herself to comment underneath the official Bachelorett Instagram Yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 3: it's that feels messy already. I mean I saw this
- 4:51Speaker 3: this morning, Taylem.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yes, I'm just looking at it for the first time too.
- 4:55Speaker 1: It's just it's already so messy, Like this is just insane,
- 4:59Speaker 1: and we haven't had I guess we've had people come
- 5:02Speaker 1: out like once the show is airing, like ex'es come
- 5:04Speaker 1: out or maybe come on shows, like there was a
- 5:06Speaker 1: season I feel like a few seasons where x's would
- 5:09Speaker 1: come on shows. But now you have the ex's girlfriend
- 5:12Speaker 1: already slamming the lead.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I don't know her comment is this This isn't going
- 5:17Speaker 3: to age very well. And then someone else added below
- 5:21Speaker 3: it can't wait for Bachelor Nation to find out their
- 5:25Speaker 3: bachelorette is actually the one there for the wrong reasons.
- 5:29Speaker 1: But okay, it's just like that, it's such an old
- 5:31Speaker 1: trophe that we need to get over because yeah, she's
- 5:35Speaker 1: a reality TV star, she's a TikTok star. This girl
- 5:37Speaker 1: has millions of followers. She's there for TV.
- 5:41Speaker 2: You know, I'm with you. Yeah, I mean, let's be honest.
- 5:46Speaker 3: I don't think Taylor Frankie Paul signed up to be
- 5:49Speaker 3: the Bachelorette only for the idea that she could find love, right,
- 5:52Speaker 3: And I think we're okay with that.
- 5:54Speaker 1: But everyone on the show, you know, like that's been
- 5:56Speaker 1: an ongoing thing since, you know, before my season or
- 5:59Speaker 1: Myson that I was on.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I mean, I was honest.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I mean I think most people would say, hey, this
- 6:06Speaker 3: felt like I was not dating at the time. I
- 6:10Speaker 3: was excited about meeting somebody. I said yes because one,
- 6:14Speaker 3: I wanted to find somebody, so I had that in
- 6:16Speaker 3: my back pocket, right, But the second part was this
- 6:18Speaker 3: sounds fun, like this is something new and exciting. The
- 6:22Speaker 3: biggest like catalyst for me saying yes to being the
- 6:25Speaker 3: Bachelor or even going on The Bachelor that maybe would
- 6:27Speaker 3: have been a better example of this was I want
- 6:30Speaker 3: to shake my own life up a bit, and if
- 6:34Speaker 3: in the meantime I meet somebody that I fall in
- 6:36Speaker 3: love with, awesome. Yeah, but I think that's probably similar
- 6:41Speaker 3: to Taylor Frankie Paul's reasoning. Right, great, it's really good
- 6:45Speaker 3: for her career, puts her out there, and if she
- 6:49Speaker 3: finds somebody in the process, awesome, But what is exactly
- 6:53Speaker 3: doesn't mean when you're not there for the right reasons,
- 6:56Speaker 3: Like if you go onto the show thinking I am
- 6:58Speaker 3: going to find my partner in this, gonna get married
- 7:01Speaker 3: from this, I think that makes for a terrible season. Yeah,
- 7:04Speaker 3: because somebody is like, that's really weird to think that
- 7:08Speaker 3: in ten weeks, I'm gonna be on one knee and
- 7:12Speaker 3: no matter what, this is my partner.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I think it works sometimes.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I just I don't know if I don't know
- 7:20Speaker 3: if there's a fair argument, Like you said, when you're
- 7:22Speaker 3: not there for the right reasons, is my point. I
- 7:25Speaker 3: think she said yes to this because it was a
- 7:27Speaker 3: good opportunity, and I think she is worthy of love,
- 7:30Speaker 3: and I hope she finds love on this season. I
- 7:32Speaker 3: just hope it is not. I hope it's messy along
- 7:36Speaker 3: the way.
- 7:37Speaker 1: We need it, we really desperately need it, we do.
- 7:39Speaker 1: But it's interesting too, the wrong reason stuff. Again, we've
- 7:43Speaker 1: never had someone in this way join the show. She's
- 7:46Speaker 1: been doing press tours, she's been doing she's on billboards,
- 7:49Speaker 1: she's on the side of buses. She was interviewing with
- 7:53Speaker 1: Dina Katz to be on Dancing with the Stars, like
- 7:54Speaker 1: we see all this in the show. So to say
- 7:58Speaker 1: like she's there for the wrong reason, she's already kind
- 7:59Speaker 1: of like got that fame. So maybe I'm negating my point.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I don't really know, but I think it's just fun.
- 8:06Speaker 3: It's just another thing for her to say yes to.
- 8:10Speaker 3: And the way the show is set up. If she
- 8:12Speaker 3: meets the love of her life through awesome, if she doesn't,
- 8:17Speaker 3: what we know is we're gonna watch good television. Yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 3: and ultimately both those are wins. She fine love she couldn't,
- 8:23Speaker 3: but we're gonna enjoy watching it.
- 8:25Speaker 4: We need to be entertained.
- 8:26Speaker 3: We need to be entertained. I want to This isn't
- 8:29Speaker 3: a headline here, Kaylin, But because you'd have watched The
- 8:31Speaker 3: Secret Lives and Mormon Wives, we've we've dug in a
- 8:35Speaker 3: little bit to Dakota. I don't know if I quite
- 8:38Speaker 3: understand the closeness of their relationship.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I know they share how many.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Kids together, one or two one kid together, so that
- 8:45Speaker 3: obviously ties them. But it does feel like for an
- 8:49Speaker 3: X that he is around and he's a very prominent
- 8:53Speaker 3: figure in her life, even outside of being you know,
- 8:56Speaker 3: co parenting. And then his current girl friend. I find
- 9:04Speaker 3: this a little bit odd.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Me.
- 9:06Speaker 2: If I think about my now wife.
- 9:10Speaker 3: And maybe an X of mine commenting on my wife's
- 9:15Speaker 3: photo something negative, I would think that would be a
- 9:19Speaker 3: very weird behavior.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it's inappropriate.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I just think Dakota is, for lack of a better word, manipulative.
- 9:27Speaker 1: He wants it seems like he desperately wants to be
- 9:29Speaker 1: on the show. He desperately wants to be famous. So
- 9:32Speaker 1: for her to comment that is kind of ironic, but
- 9:34Speaker 1: also like the manipulation started. You know, we saw in
- 9:38Speaker 1: the seasons playing out, but then this most recent season
- 9:41Speaker 1: they had a reunion where he was like kicked basically
- 9:44Speaker 1: all the people off on the stage that he didn't
- 9:46Speaker 1: want there and said I'll only come, like gave the
- 9:48Speaker 1: producers an ultimatum essentially.
- 9:50Speaker 4: So it's just he just has weird behaviors.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I don't know, And is there I think I remember
- 9:55Speaker 3: this from an interview we did with an insider on
- 9:58Speaker 3: The Secret Lives, like there's a team Dakota and a
- 10:01Speaker 3: team Taylor, Right.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Oh are they? I thought it was like, I.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Don't know, you explain you remind me I'm asking more
- 10:07Speaker 3: of the question. Is there like two t is there
- 10:09Speaker 3: like fans of both? Or Okay, maybe I don't know.
- 10:14Speaker 3: That clears up everything I was asking. Next headline is
- 10:29Speaker 3: this Taylor shares what she's doing for herself in this
- 10:31Speaker 3: phase of life and an IG story. Last Saturday, Taylor
- 10:34Speaker 3: posted a mere selfie with this text and I quote.
- 10:39Speaker 3: This phase I'm in is fast paced with high cortisol,
- 10:44Speaker 3: So I'm learning what helps, especially for my mental health.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Red light therapy has helped my mood. Liquid IV before
- 10:51Speaker 3: travel in the arm helps with hydration, vitamins, energy levels.
- 10:55Speaker 3: B twelve shots are straight to the bloodstream, which is
- 10:57Speaker 3: more effective, helps with my energy levels and mood, and
- 11:01Speaker 3: most of all, pray. The sense I'm getting Kaylin is
- 11:06Speaker 3: that she's trying to be very intentional about slowing down
- 11:11Speaker 3: because it feels like life sped up really fast and
- 11:14Speaker 3: maybe more than she expected.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder too, and maybe I'm totally off base here,
- 11:19Speaker 1: but like, how much of this is producers being like
- 11:23Speaker 1: from the Bachelor being like we kind of need to
- 11:25Speaker 1: chill out, and like you're about to be the bachelorette,
- 11:28Speaker 1: it's about to air, So I don't know how much
- 11:31Speaker 1: they have an influence with this.
- 11:32Speaker 3: I honestly, if I think back on my time, that
- 11:37Speaker 3: role was always played by Chris and the people I
- 11:42Speaker 3: know who have been on the show with Jesse as
- 11:44Speaker 3: the host says that Jesse has a very similar way
- 11:49Speaker 3: of going about it. So the host, like Chris was
- 11:51Speaker 3: always one of the first to call me and be like,
- 11:53Speaker 3: hey you good, like just checking in, like I saw
- 11:56Speaker 3: this video or somebody saw you an event and you
- 11:59Speaker 3: started crying for no reason, like are.
- 12:01Speaker 2: You doing okay?
- 12:02Speaker 3: And what I know about Jesse is he's doing the
- 12:05Speaker 3: same thing for people. He's one of the first that
- 12:07Speaker 3: people call or that we'll call them. I didn't have
- 12:12Speaker 3: that kind of relationship with a producer. Yeah, I do,
- 12:15Speaker 3: hope for I don't want to say that because I've
- 12:19Speaker 3: been there, and I know Taylor is in the quiet
- 12:22Speaker 3: season of the show, filming stopped, hasn't aired, Press isn't
- 12:27Speaker 3: really out there yet, She's not traveling across the country
- 12:30Speaker 3: to Good Morning America then back to LA to today's show,
- 12:33Speaker 3: back to LA and the headlines really, you know, we
- 12:36Speaker 3: talk about the headlines, but they're not everywhere on our TVs.
- 12:41Speaker 3: She's in the quiet part, and for her sake, if
- 12:45Speaker 3: she listens to this show, I hope she does take
- 12:48Speaker 3: this chunk of time to rest because it just speeds up.
- 12:54Speaker 3: And then, like you said, what happens after she's a bachelor,
- 12:57Speaker 3: she maybe goes on Dance with the Stars. Still filming
- 13:00Speaker 3: Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. She's at every award shown
- 13:04Speaker 3: event that exists in the world, Like this could be
- 13:08Speaker 3: a year's speeding up if she doesn't intentionally take time
- 13:13Speaker 3: to say no, I'm going to say no to stuff
- 13:15Speaker 3: and I'm going to sit in this season.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Which it does feel like.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I don't know Jesse, but it seems like he's a
- 13:21Speaker 1: relatively healthy guy, like prioritizes hell, So maybe he is
- 13:25Speaker 1: guiding her in this or maybe it's just her being like,
- 13:28Speaker 1: oh my god, I need to figure this out before
- 13:30Speaker 1: it does speed up.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Well, and I mean she she is a mom like that.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I forget that all the time.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that role doesn't stop.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Yeah, like it's not like that ends.
- 13:42Speaker 2: She is a star.
- 13:44Speaker 3: She and she this kind of blew up for her
- 13:48Speaker 3: very quickly, right like Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. It
- 13:50Speaker 3: started on social media and within the last few years,
- 13:54Speaker 3: this is really gone to become one of the America's
- 13:57Speaker 3: most watched shows.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I hope.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Taylor, if you're listening, take it for somebody who's been there.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Don't be afraid to say no, and make sure you rest.
- 14:09Speaker 1: In.
- 14:11Speaker 3: I might go as far as Kaylen is saying that
- 14:13Speaker 3: some of the social media and we'll get to the
- 14:15Speaker 3: lost headline here that I think points to this. It
- 14:18Speaker 3: almost feels like when I watch her social media right now,
- 14:21Speaker 3: it is like a cry for help. It's not because
- 14:24Speaker 3: I think she's like I don't want to make that
- 14:25Speaker 3: sound like she's like losing her mind. That's not what
- 14:28Speaker 3: my point, but it almost looks like she's looking at
- 14:30Speaker 3: the camera being like somebody told me it's okay to stop. Yeah, yeah, please,
- 14:34Speaker 3: like somebody helped me. Because this is a lot right now.
- 14:38Speaker 3: And I wonder how many people are around her, like
- 14:40Speaker 3: loving on her even if she's difficult, but like if
- 14:45Speaker 3: her family isn't like super supportive and backing up early,
- 14:48Speaker 3: who is wrapping their arms around her right now being
- 14:50Speaker 3: like hey, it's okay, like you're.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Good And hopefully if they are, and hopefully the family
- 14:54Speaker 1: switched their tune and they're just nothing but supportive.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Something very important to take life that she's been sharing
- 15:01Speaker 3: about recently is her faith. She posted a video that
- 15:06Speaker 3: we just watched. It's hard for me to watch. It's
- 15:08Speaker 3: a lot of like cutting and quick and fast, and
- 15:11Speaker 3: there's a lot of like.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Men from gen Z.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's very much gen Z and I'm I
- 15:15Speaker 3: was lost halfway through. But the point of the video
- 15:18Speaker 3: is that she's been sharing about her faith. But she
- 15:20Speaker 3: says when she shares about her faith online, her life
- 15:24Speaker 3: actually gets heavier. I don't want to dive into the
- 15:28Speaker 3: theology of this. This feels like when I watched it
- 15:32Speaker 3: Kaylen a conversation, I would just love, like as a
- 15:37Speaker 3: human to human with her in person. But the point
- 15:43Speaker 3: is she said that her mental health is struggling as
- 15:46Speaker 3: she shares these positive things, and life feels heavier as
- 15:48Speaker 3: she's talking about her faith.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I not in a religious sense.
- 15:53Speaker 1: I just feel I feel like I've gone through this
- 15:55Speaker 1: in so many different ways since starting social media. It's
- 16:00Speaker 1: like if you make a mistake, you kind of feel
- 16:02Speaker 1: like you can't comment on anything beyond religion, beyond like
- 16:07Speaker 1: there's so many things that I felt this in a
- 16:09Speaker 1: lot of ways and then I've also gone through phases
- 16:11Speaker 1: where I've been like who cares? Like this is the
- 16:14Speaker 1: dumbest thing I'm posting on social media? This like truly,
- 16:17Speaker 1: who cares? So I get what she's saying, and then
- 16:20Speaker 1: add in the religious aspect to it all, it's just
- 16:22Speaker 1: like it does get heavy.
- 16:25Speaker 3: I mean, I think social media has had many seasons
- 16:27Speaker 3: for me where heaviness is the outcome of things that
- 16:30Speaker 3: are shared or post or even what other people post,
- 16:34Speaker 3: Like when i see some of my friends who share
- 16:36Speaker 3: something and I'm like, that feels heavy to me, like
- 16:38Speaker 3: it's heavy on my heart. The one thing she does,
- 16:42Speaker 3: and I don't know if I'll get her exact phrasing.
- 16:44Speaker 3: She ends that video by saying, don't live in shame.
- 16:47Speaker 3: I think was pretty much the message there, And I
- 16:50Speaker 3: think that is a message that she needs to tell
- 16:53Speaker 3: her herself and that we all need to hear, because,
- 16:56Speaker 3: as you said, if we do something we mess up
- 16:59Speaker 3: in life, it feels like we know. I think with
- 17:02Speaker 3: social media, especially in so much immediate feedback, we feel
- 17:05Speaker 3: like we're not capable of speaking about anything else in
- 17:08Speaker 3: any type of wise or helpful way.
- 17:10Speaker 1: It's also cancel culture that people don't want us to change.
- 17:13Speaker 1: They're like, you made this mistake, You're kind of stuck there.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And especially with The Bachelor, I've noticed like when.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Were you on it? You were twenty eighty sixteen twenty.
- 17:23Speaker 2: How old were you twenty five to twenty six?
- 17:27Speaker 1: Moly, so you're twenty five to a lot of people.
- 17:29Speaker 1: You're frozen at twenty five to a lot of people.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'm frozen at twenty three. So now there's this new
- 17:34Speaker 1: added layer that I don't know. It's really tricky.
- 17:37Speaker 3: That's a great point. Yeah, where you get stuck in
- 17:40Speaker 3: that time warp. And here's the thing that we forget
- 17:44Speaker 3: since spainning of time. Humans are on a journey figuring out,
- 17:49Speaker 3: messing up, getting back up again, moving forward. But because
- 17:54Speaker 3: of the cancel culture and because of the immediate feedback,
- 17:58Speaker 3: it feels like we don't have the ability to make
- 18:01Speaker 3: a mistake or come forward and say, hey, I'm really
- 18:04Speaker 3: struggling right now. I'm going to share this message from
- 18:06Speaker 3: Jesus calling this is what Taylor was sharing. That's really
- 18:09Speaker 3: spoken to me. And right away probably there's negative feedback
- 18:13Speaker 3: on that is like why are you struggling with this?
- 18:15Speaker 3: And oh, of course you're like leaning on Jesus, but
- 18:18Speaker 3: you're out there dancing on a TikTok and it's like
- 18:20Speaker 3: it's so much noise that it's hard to get clarity
- 18:24Speaker 3: on how we can just move through life and gain
- 18:27Speaker 3: wisdom and gain a foundation.
- 18:30Speaker 1: But if she's listening, Yeah, my best advice to anyone
- 18:34Speaker 1: who's ever been on the show. And like anytime if
- 18:37Speaker 1: I'm posting something maybe it's political, I don't check my
- 18:41Speaker 1: DMS if I know I'm going through something and people
- 18:43Speaker 1: are mad at me, like it's easier said than done.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I find it to be very, very easy because I
- 18:49Speaker 1: don't like to bring in hate and just don't look
- 18:53Speaker 1: like it really And that's kind of what's driving me
- 18:54Speaker 1: crazy lately with social media landscape is people are like,
- 18:57Speaker 1: I lost this follower, lost this follower.
- 18:59Speaker 4: This follower is saying this, you don't have to.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Look yeah, I'm with you, or I made a decision.
- 19:03Speaker 3: I haven't been on Reddit in years.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that's crazy that people go on Reddit,
- 19:08Speaker 1: like why would you want to read that?
- 19:09Speaker 3: It's literally I'm going to open this up so that
- 19:11Speaker 3: I read negative things about myself, Like that is the
- 19:14Speaker 3: that is I've never been on there and I've been
- 19:16Speaker 3: like more encouraged or felt supported.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Yes again, we kind of go back.
- 19:22Speaker 3: When it comes to Taylor Frankie paul Is, she is
- 19:25Speaker 3: in the midst of a season of life that is busy,
- 19:27Speaker 3: that is chaotic.
- 19:29Speaker 2: He's about to.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Be the lead of a huge show. And for anybody listening,
- 19:35Speaker 3: I think it's okay to rest, it's okay to take
- 19:38Speaker 3: a step back, even the fact means you're saying no
- 19:42Speaker 3: to you know, some money or some opportunities. The best
- 19:47Speaker 3: thing I ever did, and this was from a pastor
- 19:51Speaker 3: in my life, when I came off the show, I
- 19:54Speaker 3: would block out time of my day to just sit
- 19:56Speaker 3: in silence, like no music, noise, no TV. Maybe go
- 20:01Speaker 3: for a walk or just sit and just like let
- 20:04Speaker 3: my thoughts kind of like settle. And it has become
- 20:09Speaker 3: one of the most helpful habits because I get back
- 20:12Speaker 3: in touch with myself. I maybe can hear from God,
- 20:15Speaker 3: I can pray a little bit, I can release some
- 20:17Speaker 3: things that are on my mind.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I can journal.
- 20:20Speaker 3: But just sitting in silence, no matter where I'm at
- 20:22Speaker 3: in the world, has been one of the best gifts.
- 20:26Speaker 3: And what that does is what you were saying, is
- 20:28Speaker 3: it takes you off the social media. It takes you
- 20:30Speaker 3: from the scrolling. When you think you're resting, No, you're
- 20:32Speaker 3: still consuming when you're scrolling. On almost this podcast, we
- 20:36Speaker 3: have made the decision to fully support Taylor Frankie Paul.
- 20:40Speaker 3: We are excited for this season. We think this is
- 20:42Speaker 3: the show needed to shake up. It doesn't mean that
- 20:44Speaker 3: we don't think it's going to be wild and messy
- 20:46Speaker 3: and wacky, and it doesn't mean that there's not going
- 20:48Speaker 3: to be episodes where we're like, what was Taylor doing?
- 20:51Speaker 3: That was wild? However, it does feel like when she
- 20:55Speaker 3: got announced as the Bachelorette, so many people were more
- 20:58Speaker 3: excited to see her fail than six seed. They were
- 21:01Speaker 3: watching the show to see only the messiness. I want that,
- 21:05Speaker 3: But what we really want is for her to benefit
- 21:09Speaker 3: from this show that's you know, helped us in so
- 21:11Speaker 3: many ways.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yeah, No, I was sure nothing but success and that
- 21:15Speaker 1: is unfortunate, you know, And I think that comes from
- 21:17Speaker 1: her having a big platform already people are just like,
- 21:20Speaker 1: you've had enough, you've gotten enough money, whatever, followers. But
- 21:24Speaker 1: I hope she is really successful and the messiness comes
- 21:27Speaker 1: from like making the men cry, you know, like they
- 21:30Speaker 1: want her to be happy.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I want these dudes to be just puddled. Yes,
- 21:34Speaker 2: that's what I need.
- 21:36Speaker 3: This has been another Franky Friday on the Almost Famous Podcast.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Again, we had.
