- 0:37Speaker 1: No, yeah, I guess he didn't answer.
- 0:40Speaker 3: So the jackpot at eight am is one thousand dollars

- 1:03Speaker 3: I'm giving you the heads up now it's barely the
- 1:04Speaker 3: Candice low Pez producer poo is here.
- 1:06Speaker 1: What's up, candis Yeah, groceries.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Are expensive, speaking of that because I was at the
- 1:09Speaker 5: grocery store yesterday and I won't say which one, but
- 1:12Speaker 5: you know, I frequent a few grocery stores around the Metropleques.
- 1:15Speaker 5: I'm kind of like a grocery nerd. Yeah maybe.
- 1:18Speaker 1: So.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Well, there's this one store that I always go to
- 1:21Speaker 5: and there's always the same lady working there, and I
- 1:23Speaker 5: usually kind of avoid her aisle because well, she just
- 1:27Speaker 5: she's not very sociable usually when I see her, and
- 1:29Speaker 5: I've interacted with her before, and it was kind of
- 1:31Speaker 5: like a grump vibe and I just wasn't feeling that well.
- 1:34Speaker 5: She had like looked like nothing in her line, no
- 1:37Speaker 5: one was there, so I was like, oh, i'll go
- 1:39Speaker 5: to her today.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 1:40Speaker 5: So I go up and as soon as I put
- 1:42Speaker 5: my stuff on the thing, no one's standing in front
- 1:45Speaker 5: of me, and she just leans over the thing and
- 1:46Speaker 5: is like, let's chat.
- 1:48Speaker 4: And I was like, oh, we're chatting, yeah.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Chat yeah.
- 1:53Speaker 5: So I lean back over the thing and I'm like, yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 5: what's going on and she's like, this guy forgot his wallet.
- 2:00Speaker 5: The guy in front of me had forgotten his wallet,
- 2:01Speaker 5: so he had gone back to his.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Car to get it.
- 2:05Speaker 1: So she was waiting she was.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Waiting for him, and she was trying to like make
- 2:08Speaker 5: sure I wasn't gonna get impatient, which I wasn't at all.
- 2:11Speaker 4: I wasn't in a rush, thankfully.
- 2:13Speaker 5: But we start talking about the World Cup, like she's
- 2:15Speaker 5: the nicest lady ever. We get into a whole conversation
- 2:18Speaker 5: about her brother and how he's such a fan of
- 2:20Speaker 5: Chelsea one of the football teams.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:23Speaker 5: Yeah, but we have a long conversation and I was like,
- 2:25Speaker 5: I got a new grocery store for end.
- 2:27Speaker 3: It's weird you say this because I go to the
- 2:30Speaker 3: same store every morning, same gas station right shout out
- 2:34Speaker 3: to racetrack every morning for my coffee. I see the
- 2:38Speaker 3: same people, and this group of people that I've seen
- 2:41Speaker 3: for the past year, they just don't speak.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Oh but I mean it's.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Early, they're busy. I'm no judgment. Yeah, it's a weird
- 2:48Speaker 3: vibe because I I mean last year and years before,
- 2:52Speaker 3: I got so close with the people.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I bought him Christmas presents and then they quit.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Oh we've gone, but we were so clo Yeah it
- 3:00Speaker 3: was so nice. But it's okay, you're not gonna be
- 3:02Speaker 3: close to everyone. I've learned in my life.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I really enjoyed talking to her yesterday. It was weird.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Well that's good because randomly, yesterday the guy that never
- 3:10Speaker 3: speaks to me comes over while I'm putting creamer in
- 3:13Speaker 3: my coffee and he goes, so, what's going on man?
- 3:16Speaker 6: And I go, oh, nothing, you're talking to me.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I'm like, oh no, what's up with you?
- 3:22Speaker 3: And he's like and I'm like, okay, you know what,
- 3:24Speaker 3: maybe he's figured out that he's just hey, I should
- 3:27Speaker 3: speak to people. He's getting out of his comfort zone.
- 3:30Speaker 3: So I get out of mine and I'm like, good
- 3:31Speaker 3: for you. We'll have a good day, you know, good.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Talking to you. And he says, yeah, you too.
- 3:35Speaker 3: We talked about how he's got his day off coming out,
- 3:37Speaker 3: blah blah blah.
- 3:39Speaker 1: The last two days hasn't spoke to me again. I'll
- 3:45Speaker 1: break up, I guess. I don't know. If we got
- 3:47Speaker 1: in a fight, I don't know. It was the weirdest
- 3:50Speaker 1: thing interesting.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I saw the next day and I was like, man,
- 3:54Speaker 3: you get your day off coming up? And he's like, yep,
- 3:57Speaker 3: oh no, okay.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Friends.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I thought we were friends. But I'll go back to
- 4:02Speaker 3: not saying anything, which is.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Really hard for me.
- 4:05Speaker 3: So all right, well, at least you made a new friend. Yeah,
- 4:08Speaker 3: all right, producer, Who is here?
- 4:09Speaker 1: I think? What's up here? I'm here.
- 4:11Speaker 7: I'm involved in something that I hate.
- 4:13Speaker 6: A family group chat. Oh you got my dad's first cousin.
- 4:17Speaker 6: She's turning seventy two this Saturday.
- 4:20Speaker 3: You have so many cousins, Yes, my dad's Yeah, cousin's good.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not a basket seventy two.
- 4:26Speaker 6: And everybody's telling me I need to help by this lady.
- 4:30Speaker 7: You know, a gift.
- 4:31Speaker 6: I haven't seen her since I was like fifteen, so
- 4:33Speaker 6: I'm like, what am I gonna buy? I mean, why
- 4:35Speaker 6: can't we just take her out to eat? I put
- 4:37Speaker 6: in a chat, let's just take her out to like
- 4:39Speaker 6: a nice dinner. Yeah, And everybody's chiming in, no, you
- 4:42Speaker 6: can't do her like that seventy two and blah blah blah.
- 4:44Speaker 7: I'm like, what are you supposed to do for somebody
- 4:46Speaker 7: who's seventy two?
- 4:47Speaker 3: Why are you randomly doing this? It's not even like
- 4:49Speaker 3: a mile marker bit birthday.
- 4:51Speaker 7: I know, like seventy five.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You know that? Seventy five?
- 4:55Speaker 4: Yeah, seventy five for sure.
- 4:57Speaker 6: Eighty yeah, eighty I'll take Applebee's I'm just like, let's
- 5:02Speaker 6: take her to a nice dinner.
- 5:03Speaker 7: We don't have to do anything. I mean, she still
- 5:04Speaker 7: actually drives.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Did you do.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Anything like, well, she's seventy two, bro, you're close to
- 5:10Speaker 3: seventy two.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I say, seventy two. Seventy two and twenty twenty six
- 5:18Speaker 1: is not that old.
- 5:20Speaker 7: But I'm just saying, it's like, dude, what do you
- 5:23Speaker 7: do for somebody who said it too?
- 5:24Speaker 6: She's already been to do something nice, you know, Like
- 5:27Speaker 6: I was just like a nice it all.
- 5:31Speaker 1: So when people get older, you shouldn't get him gifts.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Just I just don't know what curious that's hard I
- 5:36Speaker 6: get if you don't know her that well. I've seen
- 5:39Speaker 6: you since I was in hospgel I don't know what
- 5:41Speaker 6: to get you to the TikTok shop.
- 5:45Speaker 4: That's us TikTok child.
- 5:47Speaker 7: But I know, y'all.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, this is Kirk this year? Huh
- 5:52Speaker 1: why this year? Why? No other year since high school?
- 5:54Speaker 1: But why this year?
- 5:55Speaker 6: Because she's coming into she's coming to town. She lives
- 5:58Speaker 6: in Vegas, She's coming to town on this She'll be here, Yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 6: she'll be here.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Okay, we'll just take her out to dinner.
- 6:05Speaker 7: That's what I said.
- 6:06Speaker 6: But everybody just like, no, we got to do more
- 6:08Speaker 6: than that. This is really I'm like, I don't know
- 6:11Speaker 6: what to do. I'm like, out of the garden. You know,
- 6:13Speaker 6: you thrown twenty bucks and.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Go get her whatever you want. I don't know, but
- 6:17Speaker 3: who told me yesterday? I'm a little bit nervous because
- 6:19Speaker 3: when I came in this morning, who forgot to do
- 6:21Speaker 3: something last night?
- 6:22Speaker 4: What?
- 6:23Speaker 1: It was something for the show?
- 6:24Speaker 3: Yeah, And as soon as I said like, hey, you
- 6:27Speaker 3: forgot to do that, he goes, oh, I was in
- 6:29Speaker 3: urgent care.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:30Speaker 1: So I love exactly.
- 6:33Speaker 3: So I'm like, no, he comes on the show and
- 6:34Speaker 3: he starts talking about his aunt or cousin or whatever. Yeah,
- 6:37Speaker 3: I want to know, I said, save it for the show.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Oh why were you in urgent care? You got the parasite?
- 6:42Speaker 1: No? I don't have to pass. I just I got
- 6:44Speaker 1: I don't know you got it. No.
- 6:46Speaker 6: I got sick, and I was like, cause I don't
- 6:47Speaker 6: ever get sick, And so I was just like.
- 6:49Speaker 1: What do you mean you got Okay? I threw up.
- 6:53Speaker 7: I'm just no, No, I just threw up. I threw it.
- 6:56Speaker 6: It had to be something I ate, Okay, yeah, and
- 6:59Speaker 6: then now yeah, and I went over there and I
- 7:01Speaker 6: was like, let me see what's going on with me,
- 7:03Speaker 6: because I don't ever throw up. I never even when
- 7:05Speaker 6: I've been drinking. And then yeah, so I just I
- 7:10Speaker 6: was like, you know, I called up baby Mama, went
- 7:12Speaker 6: to one of her clinics, and yeah, went to the
- 7:15Speaker 6: urgent care and dudes was just like, dude, there's a
- 7:17Speaker 6: stomach bug going around.
- 7:18Speaker 7: I was like, I'm just making sure I don't.
- 7:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:22Speaker 7: No, he said, there's a stomach bug going around.
- 7:24Speaker 1: By the way.
- 7:25Speaker 3: He's telling me this this morning when he was afoot
- 7:27Speaker 3: from him, He's like, yeah, I'm care.
- 7:34Speaker 7: He gave me some because he gave me like some
- 7:36Speaker 7: strong emodium.
- 7:37Speaker 1: What does that matter. That's not a yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 7: He just gave me something for like so anti d
- 7:42Speaker 7: medicine like that. That's all he did.
- 7:44Speaker 6: He's like, you're fine, Yeah, I mean we really want
- 7:48Speaker 6: to kick off the show. Was just asking me like
- 7:50Speaker 6: he just gave He was like, you're fine, bro. I
- 7:52Speaker 6: was just like, okay, I'm just making sure I don't
- 7:54Speaker 6: have that stuff that everybody's going around. He was like
- 7:56Speaker 6: he was laughing. He was young guy, like like twenty five. Well,
- 8:01Speaker 6: stomach bug. Awesome, Yeah, all right, let's kick off the show.
- 8:04Speaker 6: We got a dirty little seacret coming up at seven thirty.
- 8:08Speaker 6: Candas's face right now, because she's a germaphob like me.
- 8:12Speaker 7: I'm fine, Candas, you don't know that I wouldn't come in.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Well, you can't say you you're fine if you really
- 8:16Speaker 1: don't even know what you got.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Did you just eat something mad?
- 8:20Speaker 7: Yeah, that's I told him. He asked me what I ate,
- 8:22Speaker 7: and I said, I had some Chick fil A.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I don't know. I had lettuce cilantro.
- 8:26Speaker 6: In the day before, I had like this little some tespberry,
- 8:29Speaker 6: some ten dollars shrimp, you know, for the grocery store.
- 8:32Speaker 6: I was like, that's all I had, and he goes,
- 8:35Speaker 6: it's probably just a little minor bug.
- 8:36Speaker 1: You fine, It is literally a minor bug.
- 8:38Speaker 9: It's the Parasite's Top Stories on the Tents with Billy
- 8:43Speaker 9: the Kid.
- 8:44Speaker 10: In the morning only on the New Mixed one or
- 8:47Speaker 10: two point nine.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Right and early on a Wednesday, Candaelow pass, what is
- 8:50Speaker 1: going on?
- 8:50Speaker 5: Well, the City of Garland is warning residents to stay
- 8:53Speaker 5: on high alert for criminals posing as utility or city employees.
- 8:58Speaker 5: They're also reminding people that home inspections are not part
- 9:01Speaker 5: of what Garland Water Utilities workers do, that they will
- 9:04Speaker 5: never ask to enter your home without a scheduled appointment.
- 9:08Speaker 4: I hate hearing these kind of things.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and even like my mom had have Encore come
- 9:13Speaker 3: out to her house and she's so nice. She offered
- 9:15Speaker 3: them a bottle of water and what now, I'm like, Mom, hey, relax.
- 9:17Speaker 3: But when the Encore people they were like, we can't
- 9:20Speaker 3: come in your home. Yeah, She's liked, you want to
- 9:22Speaker 3: come in and get some water, and they're like, no,
- 9:24Speaker 3: we can't come in.
- 9:25Speaker 5: So oh wow, Well that's legit because they're saying these
- 9:27Speaker 5: cameras are asking you to like.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Test your water quality or pressure.
- 9:31Speaker 5: They could tell you that you're o to cash refund,
- 9:34Speaker 5: which the city doesn't do. And then you know when
- 9:36Speaker 5: they pose, they don't have proper id so that's like
- 9:39Speaker 5: a signal. But if you do come across someone posing
- 9:42Speaker 5: as a city worker, they are asking you to call
- 9:44Speaker 5: the police immediately, So watch out. Okay, I know it's
- 9:48Speaker 5: always something guys. We are one step closer to making
- 9:52Speaker 5: daylight saving time permanent. So the US House passed a
- 9:55Speaker 5: bill yesterday that would move the Sunshine Protection Act Forward.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Supporters say permanent daylight saving time can improve public health
- 10:03Speaker 5: or reduce traffic accidents, lower crime, and encourage more outdoor activity,
- 10:07Speaker 5: although there are some studies that say that the impact.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Is barely noticeable.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Right.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Yeah, So this bill would move to the Senate for
- 10:14Speaker 5: a vote, and then the President would have to sign
- 10:16Speaker 5: it into law.
- 10:17Speaker 4: So it still has its challenges.
- 10:19Speaker 5: But I feel like we talk about this every time
- 10:21Speaker 5: and it's never a thing. But I guess this time,
- 10:23Speaker 5: this is the first time the House has, you know,
- 10:25Speaker 5: moved it forward.
- 10:25Speaker 3: I could think it might go through, and I'm fine
- 10:27Speaker 3: with it. I hope it does go through. I don't
- 10:29Speaker 3: want to change the clocks.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't mind.
- 10:31Speaker 5: It, except to have a kid and so it's like
- 10:33Speaker 5: getting him to switch and figure all that stuff out.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Like I can handle it on my own.
- 10:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 10:37Speaker 3: I don't need it light out until ten PM at
- 10:40Speaker 3: the game of the summer, and I don't need it
- 10:42Speaker 3: dark at four thirty, Right, So can we figure out
- 10:44Speaker 3: somewhere in between? Yeah, you know, and I think that's
- 10:47Speaker 3: what this would do, but maybe I'm wrong.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean we go to bed so early.
- 10:51Speaker 5: It's like I like for it to be at some
- 10:53Speaker 5: point it to be dark ish when I'm going to bed, right,
- 10:56Speaker 5: But we'll see how this moves forward.
- 10:59Speaker 8: Guys.
- 10:59Speaker 5: The World Cup Finals entertainment lineup keeps growing. The closing
- 11:03Speaker 5: ceremony is scheduled to start ninety minutes before Sunday's final match.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Jennifer Hudson will perform the star Spangled banner.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Tom Cruise is gonna make.
- 11:11Speaker 5: A special appearance, which I feel like he does for
- 11:14Speaker 5: literally everything.
- 11:15Speaker 1: What is he gonna do?
- 11:16Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 11:16Speaker 5: I have no idea, but last time they said this
- 11:18Speaker 5: for like a super Bowl or whatever.
- 11:19Speaker 4: He like, you know, parachuted into the stadium.
- 11:23Speaker 5: He did some kind of a random trick or whatever
- 11:25Speaker 5: he does stuff.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Maybe he'll do that. That would be cool.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Yeah, but if that's like his thing, like can he
- 11:30Speaker 5: do something different?
- 11:31Speaker 4: No, that's all we expecting him to. Just skydiving.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, he's gonna do it at seven thirty here, Okay,
- 11:39Speaker 3: he's coming in.
- 11:40Speaker 1: He's gonna fly in over the toll way.
- 11:45Speaker 10: Uh.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Yeah, he'll be there also, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams. They're
- 11:49Speaker 5: gonna perform, and as for halftime, it sounds like they're
- 11:52Speaker 5: actually gonna extend it from fifteen minutes to thirty minutes
- 11:55Speaker 5: to make time for setup of the stage and all
- 11:57Speaker 5: that stuff, to make way for Justin Bieber here at
- 12:00Speaker 5: BTS that whole You know, Sesame Street characters are going
- 12:03Speaker 5: to be out there on Sunday. Yeah, it's gonna be
- 12:07Speaker 5: a big show. I'm excited for it.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I guess. I don't know if I'm excited or scared.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Sesame Streets and Donna they're all gonna be in the
- 12:15Speaker 3: stage at the same time.
- 12:16Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know how this is gonna work.
- 12:18Speaker 4: That's what people are.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Asking Madonna, Tom Cruise is flying. The hell is happening?
- 12:24Speaker 1: I know, I can't wait.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Oh no, look forward to that on Sunday.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Jumping on a couch like it's Oprah back in the day.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he.
- 12:33Speaker 7: Did do that.
- 12:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that would be a fun throwback if he just
- 12:36Speaker 5: sky dives into the couch and.
- 12:38Speaker 3: The couch jumps while Beaver's performing, right, and then Elmo's
- 12:42Speaker 3: dancing getting tickled.

- 16:32Speaker 4: I want to hear that story.
- 16:33Speaker 1: We're gonna have to the fake stories.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Popular coffee shop starts charging twenty five cents extra for
- 16:39Speaker 3: highly customized orders, even though I feel like that would
- 16:41Speaker 3: make sense.

- 16:43Speaker 4: Get you come to that extra serub extra mill.
- 16:45Speaker 3: You can get Starbucks with that crazy order where the

- 17:02Speaker 3: not the real story. Okay, let's start with well, I'm
- 17:06Speaker 3: gonna go right into it. Okayuscannie Lopez is just dreading this.
- 17:11Speaker 3: But this guy, well he got intimate with his vacuum cleaner.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Happened in Florida, of course. Yeah, and he's been sinced.
- 17:20Speaker 3: He was already found guilty. He was caught outside of

- 17:34Speaker 3: where he was sentenced to twelve months probation and fine
- 17:38Speaker 3: two hundred and seventy one dollars in order to undergo
- 17:41Speaker 3: a psycho evaluation psycho sexual evaluation.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Whatever that means.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Yeah, witnesses say he was in the middle of quote
- 17:53Speaker 3: very cozy time, an intimate time, with his vacuum cleaner
- 17:59Speaker 3: in front of somebody's home and multiple people saw it.
- 18:02Speaker 1: They called the police.
- 18:04Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Imagine if you walk outside there's some dude just getting
- 18:08Speaker 3: it on with his hoover bro and you're like, where
- 18:11Speaker 3: do I live?
- 18:12Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Get me out of Mesquite.
- 18:16Speaker 3: I think this same story is happened to townies right
- 18:20Speaker 3: in front of Borrow in the food court. I'm not
- 18:24Speaker 3: one hundred percent sure, though allegedly allegedly escalated. I I
- 18:30Speaker 3: just love, like, I want to go into the court
- 18:31Speaker 3: and hear his defense. Yeah, like, how do you defend that?
- 18:34Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 18:34Speaker 3: Were you doing it with your vacuum cleaner or not?
- 18:37Speaker 3: You know, like if you're his lawyer, you just have
- 18:39Speaker 3: to go.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Come on.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I mean the guys, Yeah, he just needs help. Yeah yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 3: I mean what do you say?
- 18:46Speaker 4: I don't know that.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Well, either way, we're gonna have him on the show
- 18:49Speaker 1: tomorrow morning.
- 18:52Speaker 3: I wish question because you know I would too. I'm
- 18:58Speaker 3: attracted to weirdos like this. Yeah, like Cannice, No, she's
- 19:01Speaker 3: known me for decades. If I were to see this,
- 19:03Speaker 3: I'd be like, dude, come here, we got to talk.
- 19:05Speaker 1: To you, right, n I have so many questions.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Yes, right, why Kevin, Like, what went wrong in your life?
- 19:14Speaker 3: Either way, he's on probation.
- 19:15Speaker 5: Now, seventy one dollar fine, making a little higher to
- 19:20Speaker 5: keep people from doing this on the street.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah, just stay at home with that.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Yeah, you know.
- 19:26Speaker 1: And what kind of vacuum cleaner was? I'm sure I'm
- 19:31Speaker 1: sure it was a dice. I don't know.
- 19:34Speaker 3: The business are not hot to me, you know. I
- 19:39Speaker 3: wonder if it was. What are those ones that roam
- 19:40Speaker 3: around on the floor if he got busy with the room.
- 19:45Speaker 3: But I swear to God, all right, A biology expert say,
- 19:49Speaker 3: if you see an aunt in your house, don't squish
- 19:52Speaker 3: it to me, which was weird to me because that's
- 19:54Speaker 3: the first thing I do.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah bye, yeah immediately I saw one last night.
- 19:59Speaker 10: Oh.
- 19:59Speaker 1: I have a whole story about that. I think I
- 20:00Speaker 1: ate three ants.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Oh, I'll tell you about that later, okay, after my
- 20:05Speaker 3: vacuum story.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 3: They say, if you see an and your home, don't
- 20:10Speaker 3: squish it because biology experts say that when you do that,
- 20:13Speaker 3: it releases pheromones and it signals other ants in the
- 20:17Speaker 3: colony like a distress signal, So it actually attracts more
- 20:23Speaker 3: ants no into your home because their instinct is when
- 20:26Speaker 3: they get that distress signal, like, hey, my fellow ant
- 20:29Speaker 3: is in trouble.
- 20:30Speaker 1: We got to go save them.
- 20:32Speaker 3: No, so they're saying, don't squish it, just take it outside,
- 20:35Speaker 3: which I'm sorry, I'm still squishing.
- 20:37Speaker 4: How are you supposed to take it outside?
- 20:38Speaker 1: But people do that all the time.
- 20:40Speaker 5: Speaking of vacuums, I have vacuumed ants up before.
- 20:43Speaker 1: You have, Yes, Why, well, because.
- 20:46Speaker 4: I didn't want to squish them.
- 20:47Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 20:47Speaker 5: I just thought there's so many, I'll just vacuum them
- 20:49Speaker 5: up and then I'll.
- 20:50Speaker 4: Dump the thing.
- 20:51Speaker 3: I guess that's one way of handling it. And then
- 20:53Speaker 3: did it work? Yeah, okay, well that might be there.
- 20:56Speaker 1: You go, okay, it.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Worked, So borrow Kevin's vacuum makes love there and get
- 21:02Speaker 3: your now.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I ate ants. Yesterday.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I had two annoying things happened to me yesterday. So
- 21:07Speaker 3: I was trying to time out leaving working out and
- 21:11Speaker 3: door dash at the same time.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Oh you know what I'm saying, right like, So it's
- 21:15Speaker 1: an art. Yeah, you can't just laughs at me.
- 21:18Speaker 4: I love that is.
- 21:19Speaker 3: That's how sad my life is. That's what it's exciting
- 21:21Speaker 3: to me. So I'm like, well, I'm gonna time it
- 21:23Speaker 3: out perfectly so I'll get home and you know, and
- 21:26Speaker 3: I almost did. The door dash was there just a
- 21:29Speaker 3: couple minutes earlier. So I put it on the kitchen
- 21:32Speaker 3: table and I start eating, and I'm like, there's like weird,
- 21:35Speaker 3: like I don't know what these black this black thing is,
- 21:38Speaker 3: and the thing, you know, I've already taken like three bites.
- 21:43Speaker 1: It moved. It was an ant and DoorDash, multiple ants.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Multiple ants that I think, I'm like, I don't remember
- 21:53Speaker 3: this much like pepper or being on it, you know,
- 21:56Speaker 3: because they were such tiny ants. So I think I
- 21:59Speaker 3: ate at least three bites worth of ants.
- 22:02Speaker 1: And here's how it happened.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Because immediately I won't say the restaurant because I don't
- 22:06Speaker 3: want them to be associated because I love this place.
- 22:08Speaker 3: It had nothing to do with the restaurant. Somehow, some way,
- 22:12Speaker 3: leaving that door dash on my bat or you know,
- 22:14Speaker 3: the bag of my porch for like two minutes, ants
- 22:18Speaker 3: got to it, got into it, and somehow got into
- 22:21Speaker 3: my like chicken.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 22:24Speaker 3: So yeah, some sitting here munching and what normal person,
- 22:29Speaker 3: what would you do if this happened to you?
- 22:30Speaker 4: Canis I mean, I'm done, I'm throwing the food out.
- 22:32Speaker 4: We're moving on.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I washed my chicken.
- 22:35Speaker 4: No, Billy, you didn't wash your chicken. It was such
- 22:41Speaker 4: a maniac and then you just kept beating.
- 22:44Speaker 3: It just in case. It was like, well, let me
- 22:46Speaker 3: wash it, chicken. It was grilled chicken with like a
- 22:51Speaker 3: teriyaki sauce on it. So I'm like, well, I don't
- 22:54Speaker 3: know if there's ants on here or not, because it's
- 22:55Speaker 3: grilled too, you know, there's little black parts anyway, So
- 22:58Speaker 3: I'm like, let me just wash it. So I took
- 23:00Speaker 3: it to the sink and washed off some of the
- 23:01Speaker 3: pieces and then ate it, and it just.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Didn't hit the same. It was black ants, it was chicken.
- 23:08Speaker 1: It's stupid. So trigger got my chicken.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Maybe you need a stand for, you know, your food.
- 23:17Speaker 5: My neighbors have a stand for deliveries and door down
- 23:19Speaker 5: the little table outside.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I gotta do that. I gotta do that.
- 23:23Speaker 3: But I just didn't even stop me. I'm like, this
- 23:25Speaker 3: is where my life sat. I'm like, I'm going to
- 23:28Speaker 3: rinse my chicken.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Oh wow. But then no taste. Yeah, and had like
- 23:33Speaker 1: no taste.
- 23:34Speaker 3: So I was like just sitting there over the kitchen
- 23:36Speaker 3: sink eating one chicken piece at a time that had
- 23:38Speaker 3: been rinsed off.
- 23:39Speaker 1: It wasn't. It just didn't hit It didn't hit the mark.
- 23:44Speaker 5: I'm sorry, you know, So you can't a bad review
- 23:47Speaker 5: because it's not it's not on them.
- 23:49Speaker 3: It is not on them. The ants definitely came from
- 23:51Speaker 3: my house somehow.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Yeah, because the chicken it was kind of like open,
- 23:59Speaker 3: So the ants I think got in there. A few
- 24:00Speaker 3: of them got in there. Yeah, but the Atamamie wasn't.
- 24:03Speaker 3: So I just ate that and washed my chicken.
- 24:06Speaker 7: Whatever.
- 24:06Speaker 1: And this is sad time. Two annoying things happened to
- 24:09Speaker 1: me yesterday.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Yes, annoying happened to me yesterday at the gas station.
- 24:12Speaker 4: Is this a new trend?
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yeah? Maybe it was. What happened.
- 24:15Speaker 5: Is there a new trend of people just sitting in
- 24:17Speaker 5: their cars like in front of all of the pumps.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Yep.
- 24:20Speaker 5: I went to a gas station yesterday that had I
- 24:23Speaker 5: mean probably twelve to twenty. It was a large gas station,
- 24:26Speaker 5: plenty of pus. Every one of them was taken, and
- 24:28Speaker 5: I'm like waiting, I'm trying to pick which side I
- 24:30Speaker 5: was supposed to be on, right, I'm circling around, circling around.
- 24:33Speaker 5: I'm like, hello, everybody's sitting in their car and I'm
- 24:36Speaker 5: sitting there, like, can somebody move?
- 24:39Speaker 1: You know why?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Everybody's on their phones? Yeah, or they park there and
- 24:42Speaker 3: they go inside. I'm like, if you're not getting gas,
- 24:44Speaker 3: don't park here because people need to use the pumps,
- 24:46Speaker 3: right that. You know what, maybe we should just do
- 24:48Speaker 3: what annoys you?
- 24:49Speaker 1: Yeah? Eating ants? Is someone blocking the pump? Yeah?
- 24:55Speaker 5: So bad yesterday because everyone was in their car. There
- 24:58Speaker 5: was no pump actually, like in the vehicle. Yeah, no
- 25:01Speaker 5: one was pumping.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Gas and sitting in the car.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:04Speaker 5: I mean it took me probably fifteen twenty minutes just
- 25:06Speaker 5: to get gas yesterday.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what, if you need to vent eight
- 25:10Speaker 3: three three seven eight seven one two nine, you feel better?
- 25:13Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 25:13Speaker 1: Good. You know what the annoying thing was to me
- 25:15Speaker 1: that happened yesterday?
- 25:16Speaker 3: Well, I checked my mail and I got invited to
- 25:19Speaker 3: a wedding.
- 25:20Speaker 1: First of all, checking I know, that's awesome.
- 25:24Speaker 4: I love getting wedding invited.
- 25:26Speaker 3: No one have to respond and I have to figure
- 25:29Speaker 3: it out or wedding.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Tell them all go in your place.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Worst day ever.
- 25:34Speaker 9: It's your chance to get up to five thousand dollars

- 26:18Speaker 4: But it's not Frisco King. It is in Frisco though.
- 26:21Speaker 5: H EB is casting extras to be store customers in
- 26:24Speaker 5: their new commercial this week. Uh So they're looking for
- 26:27Speaker 5: a wide range of ethnicities and physical appearances. They need

- 27:24Speaker 4: on the commercials.
- 27:25Speaker 5: Please, guys, let me tell you about the latest problem
- 27:28Speaker 5: we're seeing with these robotaxis. So it isn't actually the
- 27:31Speaker 5: vehicles themselves this time, but people falling asleep in them.
- 27:36Speaker 5: So obviously, if you fall asleep in there and you
- 27:38Speaker 5: have a human driver, they can wake you up. But
- 27:40Speaker 5: without a driver, they basically have.
- 27:42Speaker 4: To call nine one one on you.
- 27:43Speaker 1: No.
- 27:44Speaker 10: Yes.
- 27:45Speaker 5: So these first responders are starting to call these incidents sleepers.
- 27:50Speaker 4: I know in Austin they had ninety nine.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Calls about sleepers in the first nine months of service there.
- 27:56Speaker 8: Uh.
- 27:56Speaker 5: San Francisco had two hundred and fifty of these calls
- 27:59Speaker 5: lack last year. And the Austin dispatchers are saying they
- 28:03Speaker 5: have to treat these as heart attacks, which takes away
- 28:06Speaker 5: like actual emergency resources from places that need them for
- 28:10Speaker 5: people just sleeping in the robo taxi.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Well, we got to figure out a different way to
- 28:13Speaker 3: handle that. Yeah, don't you file it. It's a heart attack.
- 28:16Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not gonna lie. That's the first thing
- 28:18Speaker 3: I do usually in an uber.
- 28:20Speaker 4: Is fall asleep.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Sleep.
- 28:21Speaker 3: I sleep anywhere I can. Yeah, anytime I can sleep,
- 28:24Speaker 3: I'm sleeping.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:25Speaker 5: I mean if it's like a dark outside, like it's
- 28:27Speaker 5: an early ride to the airport or something, yeah, I
- 28:29Speaker 5: might doze off or whatever.
- 28:30Speaker 4: But during the daytime. I don't think I'm sleeping when
- 28:32Speaker 4: someone else is driving.
- 28:34Speaker 1: It's so bad. I actually thought about putting in my notes.
- 28:36Speaker 3: You know you can put in your notes, like you know,
- 28:37Speaker 3: things that you like request in your uber.
- 28:40Speaker 4: I've never even paid attention to that.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you can, you know, like, do I want conversation?
- 28:44Speaker 3: Do I want you know this?
- 28:45Speaker 4: Oh right?
- 28:46Speaker 3: I wanted to say, just please wake me up gently,
- 28:49Speaker 3: just to creep them out. Oh my god, because I
- 28:51Speaker 3: fall asleep and they have to wake me up. But
- 28:53Speaker 3: I feel bad, but tip good. But some people they're
- 28:56Speaker 3: a little too much like some guys, you know, they're.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Like, hey, we're here.
- 28:59Speaker 3: But one I lean back and he like tapped my
- 29:02Speaker 3: leg and he's like, we're here. And I was like, oh,
- 29:05Speaker 3: thank you. That was so gentle. I enjoyed that wand
- 29:09Speaker 3: thank you.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Yes, Oh my gosh.
- 29:13Speaker 5: Guys, we were talking about, you know, those annoying things earlier,
- 29:16Speaker 5: and I mentioned all the people at the gas pumps
- 29:17Speaker 5: sitting in their cars, so you know, I just had
- 29:19Speaker 5: to sit and wait for them to move. Well, this
- 29:21Speaker 5: new survey says over half of Americans eat in their
- 29:24Speaker 5: car at least once a week. The average person does
- 29:26Speaker 5: it about three times a week.
- 29:28Speaker 4: So maybe people are just eating in their cars at
- 29:30Speaker 4: the gas station.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 29:32Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 29:32Speaker 3: I mean everyone's how could you not eat your car
- 29:35Speaker 3: in twenty twenty six? Yeah, as many much time as
- 29:38Speaker 3: we spend in the car because of trafficcking we're especially
- 29:40Speaker 3: in our area.
- 29:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I remember, you know, when we were during the pandemic,
- 29:44Speaker 5: a friend of ours Amazon us like a tray table
- 29:47Speaker 5: for the steering wheel, and that was like the thing
- 29:49Speaker 5: that we used because everyone's just eating in their cars
- 29:52Speaker 5: because you couldn't go eat somewhere.
- 29:54Speaker 1: That's a little extra.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that mutual friend Rady said that, our
- 30:00Speaker 3: friend Ray. Yeah, okay, well you know what I mean.
- 30:03Speaker 3: It's smart.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't need a whole tray.
- 30:06Speaker 4: It's nice though.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Well there's people who like the influencers, who just eating
- 30:09Speaker 3: their car, right, like they do the videos in their car.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I eat in the car just because I've had a
- 30:14Speaker 1: necessity and.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Time, and yeah, I think that's most people.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm not eating fast food. I haven't had
- 30:18Speaker 3: fast food a long time. Not just be jerkey and ants.
- 30:23Speaker 4: All right, I'm Candaslowe Pez. Those are your Texas top stories.
- 30:28Speaker 10: Get off your test to promise you'll feel better.
- 30:31Speaker 9: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Billy a Kid Canda, Slow Pants producer prew don't forget
- 30:35Speaker 3: we got a jackpot of one thousand dollars of free
- 30:38Speaker 3: groceries going on right now because somebody didn't answer. A
- 30:40Speaker 3: couple of people didn't answer. Yesterday was zan so it
- 30:43Speaker 3: carries over. So I'm gonna call somebody eight o'clock. You
- 30:45Speaker 3: have time to sign up though. On the iHeartRadio app
- 30:48Speaker 3: search for US Mix one O two point nine. There'll
- 30:50Speaker 3: be a little mic on your screen. Tap that mic
- 30:52Speaker 3: and say I want my mix one O two point nine.
- 30:55Speaker 3: You'll be signed up. That's also we gotta say when
- 30:57Speaker 3: you answer the phone, though. If you don't say that,
- 30:58Speaker 3: you don't win. We'll call somebody. Okay, now, Dirty Little Secret.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I've been going back and forth with this girl, and
- 31:03Speaker 3: if you have a secret, reach out at eight three
- 31:05Speaker 3: three seven eight seven one o two nine. I don't
- 31:08Speaker 3: care what it is. I'll keep it anonymous, but you
- 31:11Speaker 3: have one.
- 31:11Speaker 8: So I do have a secret that I never told
- 31:14Speaker 8: another person before. And you know, not my friend's, not
- 31:17Speaker 8: my family, not even my husband. And I'm a little
- 31:20Speaker 8: ashamed of it. But backstory, before we got married, he
- 31:24Speaker 8: knew I couldn't have children. He told me he was
- 31:27Speaker 8: okay with that, but then over time he started bringing
- 31:30Speaker 8: up adoption more and more, and I kept telling him
- 31:33Speaker 8: I wasn't sure, because if I'm being completely honest, it's
- 31:36Speaker 8: never been something I truly wanted, all right. But I
- 31:40Speaker 8: also felt really guilty about that, felt like I was
- 31:43Speaker 8: taking away his chance to be a dad. So eventually
- 31:46Speaker 8: I gave in, and we adopt a little girl. Oh
- 31:49Speaker 8: you did, And I'm not going to say her. We did,
- 31:51Speaker 8: and I'm not going to say her name.
- 31:52Speaker 1: No, no, don't even say anything.
- 31:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Yeah, but could you give us an idea of how old?
- 31:58Speaker 3: I mean, maybe just an idea of how old she is.
- 32:01Speaker 8: She's between five and nine. I'll leave it at that.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Okay, that's fair, Yeah, okay. So I think this is
- 32:09Speaker 3: because I know a little bit about this story. So
- 32:11Speaker 3: and I say that because I think it does matter.
- 32:13Speaker 3: Tell us the confession, because this is the part where
- 32:15Speaker 3: I know it's it hits.
- 32:17Speaker 8: I don't. I don't really love her, and I know
- 32:21Speaker 8: that sounds beyond her. Oh I know, I know, and
- 32:25Speaker 8: I can't help it. I can't help it. She isn't
- 32:28Speaker 8: a bad kid. I mean, she has her issues, but
- 32:30Speaker 8: she hasn't done and it's in terrible Okay.
- 32:33Speaker 3: When that's saying, like when you say you don't you
- 32:37Speaker 3: don't really love her. I'm trying to think out to
- 32:40Speaker 3: say this and not sound like she was a transaction,
- 32:43Speaker 3: because it's so much more than that. So many people
- 32:45Speaker 3: are you know, have beautiful families and people are adopted.
- 32:48Speaker 1: But when did you adopt her? Like, has it been
- 32:51Speaker 1: a while or so it's been.
- 32:53Speaker 8: More than a year now, okay, and she still feels
- 32:56Speaker 8: like a stranger living in her house to me, Like,
- 32:59Speaker 8: I I know this is harsh, but I keep waiting
- 33:02Speaker 8: for that like motherly bond everybody talks about, and it
- 33:05Speaker 8: just hasn't happened. And meanwhile, my husband absolutely adores her.
- 33:12Speaker 8: They're becoming so close, and I watch them together wondering
- 33:15Speaker 8: what's wrong with me. I take my way through like
- 33:18Speaker 8: every day, smiling, acting like everything's fine, but inside I
- 33:23Speaker 8: just feel so guilty all the time because I don't
- 33:26Speaker 8: feel the love I thought I was supposed to feel.
- 33:29Speaker 3: I mean, this makes my heart hurt for all sides. Now,
- 33:33Speaker 3: does she feel the lack of love or this is
- 33:35Speaker 3: something that you're just kind of holding in.
- 33:37Speaker 1: It's a you thing. It's not anybody else, anything else,
- 33:40Speaker 1: anybody knows.
- 33:41Speaker 8: Yet I feel like he doesn't like me very much.
- 33:45Speaker 8: I feel like there's something off about her almost and
- 33:49Speaker 8: I just can't seem to pinpoint it. And like the
- 33:52Speaker 8: worst part is, I feel like this has changed me
- 33:55Speaker 8: as a person, but not for the better. Like I
- 33:57Speaker 8: used to be happy, and now I constantly feel anxious
- 34:00Speaker 8: and emotionally exhausted, right, And like I thought about seeing
- 34:05Speaker 8: a therapist, but like, I don't know what they're going
- 34:07Speaker 8: to tell me. It's not like someone can just say
- 34:08Speaker 8: just undo the adoption, you know, Like that's not reality.
- 34:11Speaker 8: And I would never want to hurt my husband or
- 34:13Speaker 8: this little girl. And I'm just I don't.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Know, well, I mean, if you're thinking about all the
- 34:19Speaker 3: feelings that you have going on, I can only imagine
- 34:21Speaker 3: the thing she has going on in her head because
- 34:24Speaker 3: this is a completely new you know, even though it's
- 34:26Speaker 3: been a year, this is I don't know what people go.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Through when they're adopted.
- 34:30Speaker 7: It's still a new space for her.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Oh, it's new everything.
- 34:33Speaker 5: Yeah, you can't process this on your own, though, and
- 34:35Speaker 5: I don't know where she came from, but there's obviously
- 34:38Speaker 5: things that she probably remembers, and she's processing things at
- 34:41Speaker 5: a young age with a brain that's not developed.
- 34:43Speaker 1: There's a lot going on there.
- 34:45Speaker 3: I wonder how if this is more normal than you
- 34:48Speaker 3: think and people just don't say it out loud.
- 34:50Speaker 5: I mean, if being a mom was never really something
- 34:52Speaker 5: that you truly truly wanted, I mean, it just might
- 34:56Speaker 5: not be in you genetically, you know, like I don't
- 35:00Speaker 5: know that it is for everyone.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Honestly.
- 35:02Speaker 8: Well, I really appreciate you saying that.
- 35:04Speaker 3: I'm just trying to imagine a world where something changes.
- 35:07Speaker 3: I don't know what could change, where something clicks with
- 35:10Speaker 3: you two. And you start to because it sound like
- 35:12Speaker 3: a lack of trying from what you were telling me,
- 35:14Speaker 3: you know, in the message you wrote me, you're trying
- 35:16Speaker 3: to get closer, You're trying to bond.
- 35:18Speaker 8: At this point, I'm playing the role of her mom
- 35:20Speaker 8: instead of actually being her mom, and it's suck.
- 35:23Speaker 5: Yeah, But maybe people who have been in your position
- 35:25Speaker 5: will call and tell us it takes time.
- 35:27Speaker 4: I don't know what's normal, you know. I mean, even
- 35:30Speaker 4: when you birth the.
- 35:30Speaker 5: Child, sometimes it takes time. Yeah, I don't know some
- 35:34Speaker 5: moms unfortunately, right.
- 35:35Speaker 3: I could I could see that, Yeah, I could see
- 35:38Speaker 3: you know, but I don't like the fact that you
- 35:41Speaker 3: kind of felt it sounds like you felt pressured into
- 35:45Speaker 3: adopting when you didn't know. And I get that you
- 35:48Speaker 3: want to make sacrifices and compromise with your husband, but
- 35:51Speaker 3: I don't know kids. It's one of those that's a
- 35:53Speaker 3: compromise that I don't know if you should ever compromise
- 35:56Speaker 3: your feelings on that. Yeah, if you don't want kids,
- 35:58Speaker 3: you don't want kids, Yeah.
- 36:00Speaker 5: Definitely, I think maybe reach out to someone for help, counseling,
- 36:04Speaker 5: a therapist, yeah, like safe person. That's not us because
- 36:08Speaker 5: that's a lot.
- 36:09Speaker 3: And I'm sure there's counselors who specialize in this, and yeah,
- 36:12Speaker 3: I'm sure we'll have some call in, but I'm good luck.
- 36:15Speaker 3: I really appreciate you opening up to us because I
- 36:17Speaker 3: know it's not easy, and we've been going back and forth,
- 36:20Speaker 3: so I know it's tough. And yeah, I don't think
- 36:23Speaker 3: you should feel like bad for speaking your feelings, and
- 36:27Speaker 3: I would when you do talk to someone, be really
- 36:29Speaker 3: honest so they know where this is coming from and
- 36:32Speaker 3: go from there.
- 36:33Speaker 8: Yeah, absolutely well. Thank you guys very much for your
- 36:35Speaker 8: advice and help. I really really appreciate it.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Of course.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Wow, when I'm telling you, when I got the message
- 36:41Speaker 3: and it said I don't love my.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Child, oh yeah.
- 36:44Speaker 3: I was like wait what Yeah, so I don't know
- 36:47Speaker 3: eight three three seven eight seven one two nine A
- 36:50Speaker 3: dirty little secret.
- 36:50Speaker 1: There you go.
- 36:52Speaker 10: All right, it's going for Kenni's court.
- 36:55Speaker 9: It gets settled here with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 36:59Speaker 1: All rise for the Honorable Judge Candis Lowpez.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Hear ye, hear yee yes that get up, stand up,
- 37:05Speaker 3: put your hands up for Judge Lowpez.
- 37:07Speaker 8: Here she is.
- 37:07Speaker 1: It's makes one o two point nine.
- 37:09Speaker 3: She will help solve your problems, whatever problem you got
- 37:10Speaker 3: going on at candas on era on Instagram.
- 37:13Speaker 1: We're gonna call somebody coming up.
- 37:14Speaker 3: I'm giving your heads up now because the jackpop for
- 37:16Speaker 3: free groceries is up to one thousand dollars a grand.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna call somebody very soon.
- 37:21Speaker 3: So if you haven't signed up, iHeartRadio app makes one
- 37:24Speaker 3: o two nine. Fine us use that talk back Mike
- 37:26Speaker 3: to say I want my mix one O two point nine.
- 37:28Speaker 3: That'll sign you up. That's also how you have to
- 37:30Speaker 3: answer the phone. That's important one thousand dollars. If nobody
- 37:33Speaker 3: gets it at eight, well then guess what it goes
- 37:36Speaker 3: up to twelve fifty sweet so and then we'll call
- 37:39Speaker 3: somebody again at nine. All right, today's case. Hi, Candas,
- 37:42Speaker 3: I need some help with this. If you will hear
- 37:44Speaker 3: my case for Candis Court, I'm gonna big fight with
- 37:46Speaker 3: my fiance. Our wedding is coming up. See wedding drama
- 37:50Speaker 3: every single time. Why you shouldn't know that you on
- 37:54Speaker 3: weddings more exactly, I got invited you one I'm like, no,
- 37:57Speaker 3: I might have to take them to Candas Court.
- 37:58Speaker 1: I don't even know them that well.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Anyway, this case is different. Our wedding is coming up,
- 38:03Speaker 3: and that's not the issue. The problem is one of
- 38:05Speaker 3: my bridesmaids and one of the grooms men are going
- 38:09Speaker 3: through a bad breakup. Ooh, I'm closer to my bridesmaid
- 38:15Speaker 3: than he is to his groomsmen, So to me, that
- 38:20Speaker 3: friend needs to be uninvited.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Oh oh wow, he.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Did my friend wrong. And that's the truth. All of
- 38:27Speaker 3: our friends know it. My fiance thinks they should grow
- 38:30Speaker 3: up and get over it. This isn't a situation we
- 38:33Speaker 3: expected to be in and it really sucks that their
- 38:36Speaker 3: breakup with each other has caused a fight between us
- 38:39Speaker 3: now too, Please help with this situation.
- 38:42Speaker 1: What do you think? Okay, so you have a you.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Know, when it all happens and it gets you know,
- 38:47Speaker 3: thrown together, it's like.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Oh, this is perfect. My friend is a bridesmaid, your
- 38:52Speaker 1: friend is a groomsman. They're together. This is amazing.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Nobody thinks about the inevitable, which is a bad breakup,
- 39:00Speaker 3: because it happens in most relationships.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Ninety eight percent.
- 39:02Speaker 4: Oh my god, no do this does so?
- 39:06Speaker 3: So this happens, and now you're stuck in this situation.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Who should be uninvited? Who shouldn't be? Maybe they both
- 39:11Speaker 3: should just.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Get over it. Yeah, maybe he's right, Cannis your thoughts.
- 39:15Speaker 5: I mean, assuming she's being truthful, that everyone knows he's
- 39:19Speaker 5: a loser for what he did to your friend.
- 39:21Speaker 4: I mean, people are.
- 39:22Speaker 5: Going to feel some type of way about it, and
- 39:24Speaker 5: that's okay, right, you know, like maybe they're all friends.
- 39:27Speaker 5: I don't know the details of the breakup, but I
- 39:29Speaker 5: will say the last thing I want to think about
- 39:31Speaker 5: when I'm getting married is this guy who's being unfaithful.
- 39:34Speaker 4: Assuming that's what happened. We don't really know.
- 39:37Speaker 3: We don't know, we can't assume, but I will say
- 39:40Speaker 3: though I agree with you, I agree with you. To me,
- 39:43Speaker 3: I'll be honest. This guy's gotta go.
- 39:45Speaker 4: Wow, he's interesting.
- 39:47Speaker 3: He's got to go, and he's got to go because well,
- 39:50Speaker 3: another thing is to me too, is weddings. I'm not
- 39:54Speaker 3: going to say they're not special to men, but really
- 39:57Speaker 3: the wedding is at least if I'm getting married, I
- 40:00Speaker 3: gotta make sure that you're happy.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Right, this is your day. Yeah, it's our day, but
- 40:05Speaker 1: it really is your day.
- 40:06Speaker 3: This is the day that you've dreamed them is a
- 40:08Speaker 3: little girl, you've dreamed of this moment. I want to
- 40:11Speaker 3: protect it for you, right right, So if that means
- 40:14Speaker 3: my dumb friend who did something stupid and messed up
- 40:17Speaker 3: this relationship has to sit out that, I'm going to say, listen, man,
- 40:20Speaker 3: you got pooh.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I'm sorry. You shouldn't have cheated. You shouldn't have done anything.
- 40:25Speaker 3: First of all to Felicia, because if you were a
- 40:28Speaker 3: good man, you know you.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Wouldn't have done this.
- 40:31Speaker 6: Okay, but what if they just are going through a
- 40:33Speaker 6: bad breakup? What if he didn't shet then you're kicking
- 40:36Speaker 6: your boy to the curb. You already said in the president, like,
- 40:39Speaker 6: come on, she already said that. Her fiance said, they
- 40:43Speaker 6: both need to grow up. Well, they both, we both
- 40:46Speaker 6: need to grow up. I should be able to go
- 40:48Speaker 6: to the wedding just as well as she did. But
- 40:50Speaker 6: I don't want the chance of you two getting into
- 40:52Speaker 6: it at the wedding.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I would do you like that. I don't want to
- 40:54Speaker 1: see I don't want the awkwardness.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Everybody says that, but then there's an open bar, you've
- 40:59Speaker 3: had two jack and cokes, you're lit.
- 41:02Speaker 1: All of a sudden, you're like, I miss her. No,
- 41:04Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do that.
- 41:05Speaker 6: That's what you would do. I would kindly leave. I
- 41:07Speaker 6: would just be like, hey, no, you wouldn't. Congrats, Well
- 41:09Speaker 6: that's you. But I would leave. But I at least
- 41:12Speaker 6: want to see you, you know, say I do and
- 41:14Speaker 6: all that.
- 41:15Speaker 1: I'd be happy if somebody uninvited me to the wedding.
- 41:18Speaker 5: I can see where you might want to individually sit
- 41:21Speaker 5: down and talk to them and be like, hey, I
- 41:23Speaker 5: know this is tough, but can we.
- 41:25Speaker 4: All set this aside for one day?
- 41:27Speaker 1: Yeah you can't.
- 41:28Speaker 4: We all just get a long life.
- 41:29Speaker 7: Yeah, because we both love both of y'all. We genuinely
- 41:32Speaker 7: I have love for him, she has love for her.
- 41:35Speaker 6: That's her girl, whatever, So I should be able to
- 41:38Speaker 6: don't uninvite me now if I cheat it, Yeah, I
- 41:41Speaker 6: deserve to.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Well, here goes.
- 41:42Speaker 3: I'm looking at the message against he did. He did
- 41:45Speaker 3: my friend wrong, and that's the truth. And all of
- 41:47Speaker 3: our friends know it. So if everyone knows it, I
- 41:49Speaker 3: think they're going to know why he's sitting out. At
- 41:51Speaker 3: least he's not a part of the party anymore, right,
- 41:55Speaker 3: and then maybe come to the ceremony and not the reception.
- 41:59Speaker 1: So you don't make me sitting on. Negotiate, You don't
- 42:01Speaker 1: have to get me a gift. I wasn't getting you
- 42:05Speaker 1: on anyway. But now I'm definitely.
- 42:08Speaker 4: Uninviting approbation regardless.
- 42:12Speaker 3: I think the guy's got to understand that if he
- 42:13Speaker 3: was at fault, I mean, this is part of a
- 42:15Speaker 3: bad break up. I was in a similar situation, not
- 42:18Speaker 3: exactly like this, but I agreed to DJ somebody DJ
- 42:21Speaker 3: somebody's wedding and I didn't. I don't normally DJ weddings. Yeah,
- 42:25Speaker 3: so I was like, yeah, because it's a friend and
- 42:27Speaker 3: it was a friend of my time at that time
- 42:30Speaker 3: my girlfriend, and it became a good friend of mine
- 42:32Speaker 3: as well, and then we broke up. This was years ago.
- 42:35Speaker 3: We broke up and I didn't and she was in
- 42:38Speaker 3: the wedding. I didn't want to go DJ a wedding
- 42:41Speaker 3: of her friend when she was in the wedding.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Oh that's weird.
- 42:45Speaker 3: She was already with somebody new. So then I'm going
- 42:47Speaker 3: to DJ this wedding while she's there with her new man. No, no, thanks,
- 42:53Speaker 3: politely canceled.
- 42:54Speaker 7: Yes, you want to really be petty and just be like.
- 42:57Speaker 1: No, I didn't want to be petty, don't.
- 42:58Speaker 4: You don't even want to see her, I mean, with.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Her around her at all? Whatsoever. I don't blame you,
- 43:04Speaker 1: but you know what the bride understood.
- 43:05Speaker 5: Yeah, and I'm sure this, I get it. Yeah, this
- 43:08Speaker 5: bride'smaid doesn't want to be around him at all.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 43:10Speaker 5: He's going to be awkward at you're one of my
- 43:12Speaker 5: best friend's weddings because of what you did.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. And I don't think she should have to.
- 43:18Speaker 3: So it doesn't matter what we think. It matters what
- 43:19Speaker 3: Candas thinks. She's the judge. The verdicts in.
- 43:22Speaker 5: Yeah, look this groomsman is guilty being old news Oscar.
- 43:26Speaker 5: Oh yeah, he's probably gonna feel awkward up there anyway,
- 43:30Speaker 5: he should feel awkward.
- 43:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean everyone's looking at you like you're the villain.
- 43:35Speaker 1: This is part of the punishment for whatever he.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Did exactly, and you have to live with that, sir.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Got to live with it. This is part of the consequences.
- 43:41Speaker 3: It is what it is.
- 43:42Speaker 1: He is guilty of being.
- 43:44Speaker 4: He's old news.
- 43:44Speaker 9: Oscars Top Stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid
- 43:49Speaker 9: in the.
- 43:50Speaker 10: Morning only on the New Mix one O two point.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Nine canice what's going on?
- 43:54Speaker 8: Well.
- 43:55Speaker 5: The City of Garland is warning residents to stay on
- 43:57Speaker 5: high alert for criminals posing as you utility or city employees.
- 44:02Speaker 5: They are also reminding people that home inspections are not
- 44:05Speaker 5: part of what Garland Water utilities workers do and their
- 44:08Speaker 5: workers will never ask to enter your home without.
- 44:11Speaker 4: A scheduled appointment.
- 44:13Speaker 5: This is wild though, because they're saying these scammers are,
- 44:15Speaker 5: you know, asking to test.
- 44:17Speaker 4: Your water quality or water pressure.
- 44:19Speaker 5: They could tell you that you're owed to cash refund, which.
- 44:22Speaker 4: The city doesn't even do.
- 44:24Speaker 5: And then you know, if they're posing as a city staff,
- 44:26Speaker 5: they would obviously have to have proper id So yeahah,
- 44:30Speaker 5: ask the questions.
- 44:31Speaker 1: And they I feel like they target the older people.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what sucks. So I mean people could trick
- 44:36Speaker 3: me so easy. Right, Well you tricked me with some candy,
- 44:40Speaker 3: we have money, or we have tacos for you.
- 44:42Speaker 1: We just need to get in your home and test
- 44:43Speaker 1: your water pressure.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Be like, we'll come on in right, Yeah for sure.
- 44:47Speaker 8: Uh.
- 44:47Speaker 5: They do want you to know though, if you come
- 44:49Speaker 5: across someone posing as a city worker, you are asked
- 44:51Speaker 5: to call.
- 44:51Speaker 4: The police immediately. Guys.
- 44:54Speaker 5: The first IKEA marathon is happening.
- 44:57Speaker 8: Uh.
- 44:57Speaker 4: This is going down at a location in England.
- 45:00Speaker 5: Runners will complete seventeen laps around the showroom, market hall
- 45:05Speaker 5: and warehouse.
- 45:07Speaker 4: This is a wild idea.
- 45:08Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 45:09Speaker 5: Yeah, they're saying they offered eighty spots in the marathon.
- 45:12Speaker 5: They filled up almost instantly, but you do have to
- 45:15Speaker 5: finish in six hours so the employees can get back
- 45:18Speaker 5: to work.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Well, how much is how long or what's the distance
- 45:22Speaker 3: of seventeen laps run in Nikia?
- 45:23Speaker 1: Does it say?
- 45:24Speaker 5: I think it's like marathon length, so I think it's
- 45:26Speaker 5: twenty six point two.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Miles in the Singale store, No way, I mean, those
- 45:31Speaker 4: ikeas are massive.
- 45:33Speaker 3: But seventeen laps, yeah, that's more than a mile. Each
- 45:37Speaker 3: lap is more than a mile.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:38Speaker 5: I don't know what, like how you're running like through
- 45:41Speaker 5: which areas and maybe there's laps inside the laps that you're.
- 45:44Speaker 4: Not thinking about. Okay, but those warehouses are.
- 45:47Speaker 3: Huge, yeah, I guess so, I know, I know they are,
- 45:50Speaker 3: but okay, well I love the idea.
- 45:52Speaker 5: Yeah, people are saying, like, you know, during a regular
- 45:54Speaker 5: marathon outside they'll have like an aid station with like
- 45:56Speaker 5: hydration and things like that, but they're going to have
- 45:58Speaker 5: like the Swedish meatballs and stuff that I kiss her.
- 46:01Speaker 5: I'm like, that's the last thing I want to run
- 46:03Speaker 5: on that full stomach of ike at me ball.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Give me some meat balls, right.
- 46:09Speaker 5: It is cool though, some of their entry fees are
- 46:11Speaker 5: going to go to charity, so we'll see if that
- 46:13Speaker 5: ends up happening.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Here too, guys. This is interesting.
- 46:17Speaker 5: Shania Twain is speaking out and going viral for saying
- 46:21Speaker 5: it's Harry Style's fault why she missed Taylor Swift's wedding. So,
- 46:25Speaker 5: of course Taylor and Harry dated back in the day day,
- 46:28Speaker 5: but she said she would have done anything to be there,
- 46:30Speaker 5: but she was with Harry and she's gone viral because
- 46:33Speaker 5: she's referring to her opening for Harry's residency in London
- 46:37Speaker 5: on the same day. And then she said, you know,
- 46:40Speaker 5: if Harry ever gets married and wants her at his wedding,
- 46:43Speaker 5: he's going to have to ask her way in advance.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Well, they're not going to go to each other's weddings,
- 46:47Speaker 1: are they?
- 46:48Speaker 5: Well, I mean Shanaiah would go to Taylor's wedding and Harry's,
- 46:51Speaker 5: but Harry wouldn't go to Taylor's wedding and Taylor wouldn't
- 46:54Speaker 5: go to Harry's.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Wait, Harry's engaged to Zoe Kravitt. She was there.
- 46:58Speaker 4: She was at Taylor's wedding.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Okay, that's weird.
- 47:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so holly weird to me, it is, but
- 47:04Speaker 3: I guess.
- 47:05Speaker 5: They dated when they were so much younger that Shuirly.
- 47:07Speaker 5: Taylor's over it by now, like who cares?
- 47:10Speaker 3: You know, I'm sure too, But if she was obviously invited,
- 47:13Speaker 3: probably with a plus one, Yeah, so that means who
- 47:16Speaker 3: else would bring? If Harry was available, Yeah, she would
- 47:19Speaker 3: have went. So is that not weird to be at
- 47:21Speaker 3: your ex's wedding? I'm not going to my ex's wedding. Yeah,
- 47:24Speaker 3: I live at your divorce party.
- 47:28Speaker 5: Harry playing, you know, twelve nights in London at Wembley
- 47:31Speaker 5: or whatever.
- 47:32Speaker 4: Stadium this was. I mean that's pretty much a big flex. Sorry,
- 47:34Speaker 4: I couldn't go to my ex's wedding.
- 47:36Speaker 5: I'm playing, you know, sure, but I mean massive shows
- 47:38Speaker 5: still though, if it was just normal people, nobody invites
- 47:41Speaker 5: their ex.
- 47:42Speaker 1: To a wedding.
- 47:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think so.
- 47:43Speaker 3: And if you're dating my ex, you're cool with me,
- 47:45Speaker 3: but you're not getting invited either.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:48Speaker 5: I don't think Zoe took a plus one. All the
- 47:50Speaker 5: pictures I saw was just her by herself.
- 47:52Speaker 1: I don't know that so weird.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:55Speaker 5: Yeah, anyways, I'm Kanda Slopez. Those are your Texas top stories.
- 48:00Speaker 1: It's a hot take.
- 48:01Speaker 10: Let us know what you think. Here's today's hot take.
- 48:03Speaker 3: It's Billy Kid, Candaslompez and producer Pooh. And I'm just
- 48:06Speaker 3: laughing because, first of all, if you tell me your problems,
- 48:09Speaker 3: like personally off the air, unless you specifically say, don't
- 48:14Speaker 3: talk about this on your radio show, I'm talking about it. Yeah,
- 48:18Speaker 3: it's just part of who I am. Sorry, this is
- 48:20Speaker 3: what I've done for like forever, for decades. I'm gonna
- 48:23Speaker 3: spill your tea. Yay, I will do that. So and
- 48:27Speaker 3: I don't care what it is. So I have some
- 48:28Speaker 3: friend drama going on right now, which they're both texting
- 48:31Speaker 3: me as we speak separately saying asking who's writer, Who's wrong?
- 48:35Speaker 1: So I'm like, I'm gonna go on the air with.
- 48:36Speaker 3: This, and I just think it's funny because I'm bringing
- 48:39Speaker 3: all their drama out. But one of my friends is
- 48:42Speaker 3: heavily involved in a charity, right. I won't say which one,
- 48:45Speaker 3: but I mean it's a great organization. It's a big charity.
- 48:47Speaker 3: They run a lot of the events things like that,
- 48:50Speaker 3: and you know, he always invites us to stuff if
- 48:53Speaker 3: you donate whatever the galas or whatever they're called. There
- 48:57Speaker 3: was one not too long ago and he invited us.
- 49:01Speaker 3: My friend went, I didn't go to this one, and
- 49:03Speaker 3: when you go, you get like a little swag bag.
- 49:06Speaker 3: But these swag bags are nice, and that matters because
- 49:12Speaker 3: what happened is my other friend went got the swag
- 49:15Speaker 3: bag and what it's been like a week and a
- 49:17Speaker 3: half and I don't know how he found out. But
- 49:19Speaker 3: our other friend who runs the charity found out that
- 49:21Speaker 3: my friend pretty much dissected this swag bag and put
- 49:23Speaker 3: everything on eBay.
- 49:30Speaker 1: He's selling, he's selling everything.
- 49:33Speaker 3: Yeah, so my friend hits him up and it's like, hey,
- 49:36Speaker 3: I mean really, you can't do that, and he's like,
- 49:39Speaker 3: oh why, I'm sorry, but it's just a gift to
- 49:43Speaker 3: me because you know, I donate to the charity. I
- 49:46Speaker 3: came to the event. I mean, I'm sure some people
- 49:48Speaker 3: who don't donate to the charity still get.
- 49:50Speaker 5: A swag bag, right, That's why he doesn't feel bad
- 49:52Speaker 5: because he donated.
- 49:54Speaker 3: And I So now they're all hit me up and
- 49:56Speaker 3: they're like passive aggressive. But it started off like hey, really,
- 49:59Speaker 3: come on man, and like as a joke, and now
- 50:01Speaker 3: it's kind of like, well, I'm not inviting you next year.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Oh, like that's not cool.
- 50:06Speaker 3: And now they're getting into it. They're both texted me.
- 50:09Speaker 3: So of course I'm like, well, what was in the
- 50:11Speaker 3: swag bag?
- 50:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm wondering too.
- 50:13Speaker 5: But the charity still wins if he's still a part
- 50:15Speaker 5: of the charity.
- 50:16Speaker 4: It donates and he's active and stuff.
- 50:18Speaker 5: I mean, it's his choice, is at tacky, Yeah, it's
- 50:20Speaker 5: his choice to do what he wants with the gift bag.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Yeh that's what he said.
- 50:23Speaker 3: But my friend who like, you know, kind of helps
- 50:25Speaker 3: out with the charity's like yeah, but it kind of
- 50:27Speaker 3: goes without saying that. These people that have things that
- 50:30Speaker 3: they've donated, these businesses who donate things don't want it
- 50:33Speaker 3: to be resold.
- 50:34Speaker 4: Right, That wasn't their intention at all.
- 50:37Speaker 1: But you want to know what's in there?
- 50:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I know some of the stuff.
- 50:42Speaker 5: I hope it doesn't know the charity logo because if
- 50:44Speaker 5: it does, that's a different story.
- 50:46Speaker 4: You can't sell it if it has the charity logo.
- 50:49Speaker 3: There was one hundred dollars gift card to a big
- 50:51Speaker 3: massage place.
- 50:52Speaker 1: I'm not going to name the names.
- 50:53Speaker 7: Okay, yeah, yeah, of.
- 50:55Speaker 3: This massage one hundred dollars gift card that he just
- 50:58Speaker 3: basically put up on Eban and is like, hey, I
- 50:59Speaker 3: don't want this because I don't like massages.
- 51:02Speaker 5: I was wondering if you could do that with like
- 51:04Speaker 5: a gift card style he's doing it.
- 51:07Speaker 1: There was a Chick fil A gift card. I'll say
- 51:09Speaker 1: Chick fil A. They don't care.
- 51:10Speaker 4: You didn't put that on there.
- 51:11Speaker 3: It's on there, no, Okay, yes, yeah, I mean people
- 51:15Speaker 3: do that all the time. Like I've even had people
- 51:17Speaker 3: like gas stations come up to me like, Hey, I
- 51:18Speaker 3: got a gift card. I need cash, right, you want
- 51:21Speaker 3: to give me fifty dollars for this one hundred dollars
- 51:22Speaker 3: gift card?
- 51:23Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 51:24Speaker 1: And I'm like, no, I don't want that. Let me
- 51:26Speaker 1: check the balance. Let's see.
- 51:28Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a Kendra Scott necklace okay in there
- 51:32Speaker 3: that was worth a.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Decent amount of money.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Okay, that he's got on eBay, wow.
- 51:37Speaker 1: And a few other things. But I'm like, those are
- 51:38Speaker 1: the main things. Is this okay to do? Yes? It is.
- 51:43Speaker 1: I knew Pooh would say that, Yes it is.
- 51:45Speaker 6: If I'm already donating to the charity, why are you
- 51:48Speaker 6: tripped before?
- 51:50Speaker 7: Like I'm donating to the cause.
- 51:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't see me ever doing this.
- 51:55Speaker 1: I wouldn't.
- 51:55Speaker 6: I mean, I know y'all would, but I mean, what
- 51:58Speaker 6: am I going to do with a Ken Scott? And
- 52:00Speaker 6: who knows when I'll get a girlfriend?
- 52:02Speaker 1: So I might as well. Yeah, I guess I don't know.
- 52:06Speaker 1: There's a different but now it's wrong.
- 52:08Speaker 3: Now the guy who's involved in the charity is saying, well,
- 52:10Speaker 3: I hope you know next year because if you were
- 52:12Speaker 3: putting not for resale on the bags.
- 52:14Speaker 4: Oh okay, what are they going to actually do?
- 52:18Speaker 3: Well, he's gonna do nothing about it, but I mean
- 52:21Speaker 3: it's caused some strain, and my friend apologizes it. But
- 52:23Speaker 3: I already got I already sold most of the things,
- 52:27Speaker 3: That's what I'm talking about.
- 52:28Speaker 1: So he's like, that looks so bad on me.
- 52:31Speaker 3: If people see this and they know, But I'm like,
- 52:33Speaker 3: well they I don't know if they know where it's
- 52:35Speaker 3: coming from.
- 52:35Speaker 1: I don't know if the charity's logo on there. I
- 52:37Speaker 1: hope not.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Yeah, But to me, I kind of I feel like
- 52:40Speaker 3: it's a billy cord or a canvas cord.
- 52:42Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 52:42Speaker 3: I feel like my friend is a little bit guilty
- 52:44Speaker 3: because it kind of goes without saying that you probably
- 52:47Speaker 3: shouldn't resell this stuff that was free in the first place.
- 52:52Speaker 5: Right regifting it, I'm okay with you know what I mean? Yeah, Well,
- 52:56Speaker 5: like said Scott necklace, and he's like, what am I
- 52:59Speaker 5: going to do with this?
- 53:00Speaker 1: That's fair?
- 53:00Speaker 4: Yeah, you give it to somebody from whatever.
- 53:02Speaker 6: So if I got the gift bag and I said
- 53:04Speaker 6: give it to Candia, Yeah, here, Canda, here's the next.
- 53:07Speaker 3: That would actually be the right thing to do, right
- 53:10Speaker 3: and then and if you really want to go the
- 53:11Speaker 3: extra step, you go.
- 53:12Speaker 1: I got it from this charity. I'm involved with blah
- 53:14Speaker 1: blah blah charity.
- 53:15Speaker 5: You should check him out right, Yeah, spread the words, okay, Yeah,
- 53:18Speaker 5: be able to like promote the charity his face.
- 53:21Speaker 7: I'm sorry, I want that Chick fil A card?
- 53:23Speaker 1: Ask him? Is this steal for sake? O? My god?
- 53:27Speaker 3: He sold it for twenty five bucks. By the way,
- 53:30Speaker 3: what one hundred dollars gift card?
- 53:32Speaker 6: Oh that's weird, went by you went buy twenty five dollars.
- 53:37Speaker 5: I mean, not from a guy who took it from
- 53:39Speaker 5: a charity, but you.
- 53:40Speaker 3: Yeah, Candice Slowpez, what's going on?
- 53:44Speaker 8: Oh?
- 53:44Speaker 5: I was just going to say hi to Erica because
- 53:46Speaker 5: she DM me about the gas station member. I was
- 53:48Speaker 5: telling you earlier that I just everyone's like sitting at
- 53:51Speaker 5: the gas station not actually pumping gas, and it took.
- 53:55Speaker 4: Me forever to get gas.
- 53:56Speaker 5: Yesterday, Erica said that someone next to her was on
- 53:58Speaker 5: a team's call or like whatever those are at the.
- 54:01Speaker 4: Pump, like a zoom or something. Yeah.
- 54:03Speaker 3: Yeah, see that is annoying when someone's blocking the pump
- 54:06Speaker 3: and you need to get in.
- 54:06Speaker 1: I did that with the air pressure machine the other
- 54:08Speaker 1: day for the tires.
- 54:09Speaker 10: Uh huh.
- 54:09Speaker 3: The guy was sitting there on the phone. I was
- 54:10Speaker 3: trying not to be rude because I adnyone, but he
- 54:12Speaker 3: wasn't using it. I was like, Hey, is there any
- 54:14Speaker 3: way I could get this real quick? And he goes, oh, sorry,
- 54:16Speaker 3: I'm just on the phone, and I was like, oh yeah,
- 54:18Speaker 3: and then he moved and he was cool about it.
- 54:20Speaker 5: I get it if you're in a parking spot and
- 54:21Speaker 5: I just can't find one because everybody's sitting in their cars.
- 54:24Speaker 5: But the gas station, it's like I need the pump.
- 54:26Speaker 3: We were talking about annoying things and things that annoy
- 54:28Speaker 3: you because I ate ants yesterday. I guess that's how
- 54:31Speaker 3: I got brought up because I had door dash on
- 54:33Speaker 3: my porch.
- 54:34Speaker 1: Ants are so annoying? Do we need him for anything?
- 54:37Speaker 4: Because there's like thro one or three hundred.
- 54:40Speaker 1: There's always start?
- 54:42Speaker 3: Why is there? Why are there ants? I mean usually
- 54:45Speaker 3: you know, there's like the evolution, the circle of life.
- 54:47Speaker 3: You need certain things. But do we need ants?
- 54:49Speaker 4: Probably? But I don't want it. I don't need them.
- 54:51Speaker 3: Well, either way, they got in my door dash order
- 54:53Speaker 3: and I was probably three bites in until I realized
- 54:56Speaker 3: I eating ants. Danielle just hit us up spin and
- 55:00Speaker 3: ants this morning. No, it was in a cereal. He's like,
- 55:03Speaker 3: why is there pepper? And my checks mix wasn't pepper.
- 55:08Speaker 3: But you know what, let me go through some of
- 55:09Speaker 3: the messages I got on my DMS at Billy on
- 55:12Speaker 3: the radio. Anything more annoying than what you tell me
- 55:15Speaker 3: the annoying things? And okay, Stacy said, I hate stickers
- 55:19Speaker 3: on fruit.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Oh, oh, same, that is annoying.
- 55:22Speaker 5: They come off easy on bananas, but apples are annoying.
- 55:24Speaker 1: Do you know how many stickers on apples I've eaten?
- 55:27Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 55:27Speaker 7: He did a couple in front of us.
- 55:29Speaker 3: I didn't even know. No, I mean, I didn't do
- 55:31Speaker 3: it on purpose. I'm not that big of you.
- 55:33Speaker 5: Need to check your food closer before you eat ants, stickers,
- 55:37Speaker 5: what else?
- 55:37Speaker 1: I'm hungry? Come on?
- 55:39Speaker 3: Okay, someone else says, no toilet paper when you've already
- 55:42Speaker 3: used the restroom.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Oh, there's nothing worse.
- 55:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't want to get.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Into detail, but when you have to waddle out and
- 55:51Speaker 1: try to.
- 55:52Speaker 3: Find something, the wattless shame, Yeah, that's what that is called.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Okay, all right, this is a good one. Whitney says.
- 55:59Speaker 3: When you realize, oh, she said, when you're talking someone's
- 56:02Speaker 3: talking too loudly on their phone in public speakerphone. Yeah,
- 56:08Speaker 3: I don't want to say I'm guilty of that, but
- 56:10Speaker 3: every once in a while I like using speakerphone.
- 56:13Speaker 1: But I won't walk into a place and do it.
- 56:15Speaker 4: Oh, definitely not.
- 56:16Speaker 3: But if I'm just walking and someone's around me, I
- 56:18Speaker 3: might be on speakerphone, then I'll do it sometimes, very guilty,
- 56:23Speaker 3: that's true. Or he's the he's the earpiece guy who's
- 56:27Speaker 3: talking loudly in the bathroom on his you know bloe right,
- 56:31Speaker 3: but we can't see.
- 56:32Speaker 1: So then you answer him and he's like, I'm on
- 56:34Speaker 1: the phone. My bad.
- 56:37Speaker 3: Okay, when your GPS doesn't show the traffic that you're
- 56:41Speaker 3: in currently, someone else said, realizing you left your phone
- 56:45Speaker 3: at home when you leave and you have to go
- 56:48Speaker 3: back to your house.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Oh, I hate forgetting things. Okay, you had one, what
- 56:54Speaker 1: is it now?
- 56:57Speaker 8: Because of freaking wreck?
- 57:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's never anything like too bad.
- 57:02Speaker 8: No, I don't know about this one, but I'm mine
- 57:05Speaker 8: twenty right now where angling driver is and it's always
- 57:08Speaker 8: the same wreck, same area.
- 57:10Speaker 1: Yeah, every morning or.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Every other morning, Yeah, same area, and some of these
- 57:14Speaker 3: I'm like, can you just pull off to the side.
- 57:16Speaker 3: You should be able to pull off to the side.
- 57:17Speaker 3: You have to stop, and I know it's like a
- 57:19Speaker 3: fender bender. It's different if your airbags went off right,
- 57:22Speaker 3: you know, or someone got.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Flown from the car. But if you just got a
- 57:25Speaker 1: fender better, can you just move over in?
- 57:27Speaker 3: Yeah, rubber neck in If I'm waiting thirty minutes in line,
- 57:31Speaker 3: I want to see some kind of damage to your car.
- 57:32Speaker 1: I don't want to see a scratch.

- 59:42Speaker 4: Austin said they had ninety nine.
- 59:44Speaker 5: Calls about sleepers in the first nine months of service there.
- 59:48Speaker 5: San Francisco had two hundred and fifty of these calls
- 59:51Speaker 5: last year. But some of the dispatchers are saying, we
- 59:54Speaker 5: have to treat these like if someone in the vehicles
- 59:56Speaker 5: having a heart attack.
- 59:57Speaker 3: See that's what's not great, because then you're wasting sources
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: on somebody who's just passed out in a waimo.
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: Yeah exactly, which would be me.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Which I do that all the time with ubers and stuff.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: Yeah you don't want to take awaymo then yeah, I do. Well,
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: not if you're not going to wake up.

- 1:00:14Speaker 3: fall asleep all the time in ubers because we're tired.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I could for sure.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: If you give me a couple of drinks and put
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: me in an uber, I'm falling asleep. In that case,
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: probably just wake me up gently. Yeah, driver, whoever you are,
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: I love that.
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: That's in your uber notes to people. If I fall asleep, wake.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Me up, wake me up, and don't scare me, don't
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: touch me.
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's a good one.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: All you have to do is hey, William William or either,
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: because that's you know my name right right? They don't
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: know my name name right, I think William wake up
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: and I'll be like, oh oh here we are home.
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: Geez guys.

- 1:00:52Speaker 5: versus whoever wins today between England and Argentina.
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: But the closing ceremony.
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: Is scheduled to start ninety minutes before the math. Jennifer
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: Hudson will perform the star Spangled banner. Tom Cruise is
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: now going to be making a special stunt appearance. Stunt appearance,
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: they're saying now it's a stunt appearance, which that's usually
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: how he appears, is through skydiving or something crazy like that.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: That's wild.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I just don't know if his thing is just
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: gonna end up being skydiving into venues over and over and.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Over, going to be a circus.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: I mean think so well, mean, you have all these
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: people performing and then I hear comes Tom Cruise on
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: a parachute.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Yeah, landing on Justin Bieber. What is he gonna do?
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Just well, does he fly in?
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: They haven't said, they're just teasing it.
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: But this is not the first time that he's done this,
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: so it's kind of like, well, what else could he do?
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: I can't remember what's the last time he did something
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: like this? The Olympics? Yeah, yeah, did he fly with
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: like the torch or something?
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: Maybe?
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: So he did something, but it was like I thought
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: it was promoting his movie The Mission.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: I mean, isn't there a new Top Gun movie that
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: they're gonna work on again?
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Again? He's not in it, is he? Yes?
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: He is.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I've never seen top I mean it would.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Be right if he weren't. You've never seen Top Gun.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: No, it's about planes, right, yeah? Come on? Yeah, I
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: don't know, Sorry, I haven't seen it.
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: Don't spoil it.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Don't spoil you already spoil Titanic back in the day.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Don't spoil Top Gun.
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: It was still good though, once you watched it, right, yeah,
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: no it Titanic.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it was great, five and a half hours of
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: my life.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: Anyways, watch out for Tom Cruise.
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: And then it sounds like they are actually going to
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: send extend that halftime show on Sunday from fifteen minutes
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: to thirty minutes so they have time to set up
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: and get ready for all those artists that are coming out,
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: so it'll be fun.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, I'm Canda Slowpez. Those are your Texas
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: Top Stories to promise you'll feel better. Welcome to the
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: Dirty Little Secret makes one.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Or two point nine your dirty Little Secrets, Bring them on.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: It's Bailly a kid. Canda Slopez is your producer, pooh,
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: and anytime you want, just confess eight three to three
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: seven eight seven to one O two nine, doesn't matter
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: what it is. It could be a big secret, little secret,
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: it could be some silly, some serious whatever. And you
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: can also DM to at Billy on the radio. Some
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: people want to set it up that way. On Instagram
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: and it's at Billy on the radio. You have a secret.
- 1:03:07Speaker 8: So I do have a secret that I never told
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: another person before, and you know, not my friends, not
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: my family, not even my husband. And I'm a little
- 1:03:16Speaker 8: ashamed of it. But backstory, Before we got married, he
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: knew I couldn't have children. He told me he was
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: okay with that. But then over time he started bringing
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: up adoption more and more, and I kept telling him
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: I wasn't sure because if I'm being completely honest, it's
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: never been something I truly wanted, all right, But I
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: also felt really guilty about that, felt like I was
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: taking away his chance to be a dad. So eventually
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: I gave in, and we adopt a little girl.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Oh you did, And I'm not.
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: Going to say her We did, and I'm not going
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: to say her name.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: No, no, no, don't even say anything.
- 1:03:51Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: Yeah, but could you give us an idea of how old?
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: I mean, maybe just an idea of how old she is.
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: She's between five and nine. I'll leave it at that.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: Okay, that's fair, Yeah, okay. So I think this is
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: because I know a little bit about this story. So
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: and I say that because I think it does matter
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: tell us the confession, because this is the part where
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: I know it's it hits.
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: I don't I don't really love her, and I know
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: that sounds beyond her. Oh I know, I know, and
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: I can't help it. I can't help it. She isn't
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: a bad kid. I mean, she has her issues, but
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: she hasn't done and it'thing terrible.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Okay, when that's saying, like when you say you don't
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: you don't really love her, I'm trying to think out
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: to say this and not sound like she was a transaction,
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: because it's so much more than that. So many people
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: are you know, have beautiful families and people are adopted.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: But when did you adopt her? Like has it been
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: a while.
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: Or so it's been more than a year now, okay,
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: and she still feels like a stranger living in her
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: house to me, Like I keep I know this is harsh,
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: but I keep waiting for that like motherly bond everybody
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: talks about and it just hasn't happened. And meanwhile, my
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: husband absolutely adores her. They're becoming so close, and I
- 1:05:10Speaker 8: watch them together wondering what's wrong with me? I fake
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: my way through like every day, smiling, acting like everything's fine,
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: but inside I just feel so guilty all the time
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: because I don't feel the love I thought I was
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: supposed to feel.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: I mean, this makes my heart hurt for all sides.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: Now, does she feel the lack of love or this
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: is something that you're just kind of holding in.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: It's a you thing.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: It's not anybody else, anything else, anybody knows Yet.
- 1:05:37Speaker 8: I feel like he doesn't like me very much. I
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: feel like there's something off about her almost and I
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: just can't seem to pinpoint it. And like the worst
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: part is I feel like this has changed me as
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: a person, but not for the better. Like I used
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: to be happy and now I constantly feel anxious and
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: emotionally exhausted. I thought about seeing a therapist, but like,
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: I don't know what they're going to tell me. It's
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: not like someone can just say just undo the adoption,
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: you know, Like that's not reality. And I would never
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: want to hurt my husband or this little girl. And
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: I'm just I don't know.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Well, I mean, if you're thinking about all the feelings
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: that you have going on, I can only imagine the
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: thing she has going on in her head. Because this
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: is a completely new you know, even though it's been
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: a year, this is I don't know what people go.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Through when they're adopted.
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: It's still a new space for her.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Oh it's new everything.
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: Yeah, you can't process this on your own though.
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: And I don't know where she came from, but there's
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: obviously things that she probably remembers, and she's processing things
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: at a young age with a brain that's not developed.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: There's a lot going on there. I wonder how if
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: this is more normal than you think and people just
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: don't say it out loud.
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: I mean, if being a mom was never really something
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: that you truly truly wanted, I mean, it just might
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: not be in you genetically, you know, like I don't
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: know that it is for everyone.
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: Honestly.
- 1:06:58Speaker 8: Well, I really appreciate you saying that.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: I'm just trying to imagine a world where something changes.
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: I don't know what could change, where something clicks with
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: you two, and you start to because it sound like
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: a lack of trying from what you were telling me.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: You know, in the message you wrote me, you're trying
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: to get closer, You're trying to bond.
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: At this point, I'm playing the role of her mom
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: instead of actually being her mom. And it's that.
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: Yeah, but maybe people who have been in your position
- 1:07:21Speaker 5: will call and tell us it takes time. I don't
- 1:07:24Speaker 5: know what's normal, you know. I mean, even when you
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: bird the child, sometimes it takes time. Yeah, I don't
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: know some moms unfortunately, right, I.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: Could I could see that, Yeah, I could see you know,
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: But I don't like the fact that you kind of
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: felt it sounds like you felt pressured into adopting.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: When you didn't.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: And I get that you want to make sacrifices and
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: compromise with your husband, but I don't know kids, it's
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: one of those that's a compromise that I don't know
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: if you should ever compromise your feelings on that. Yeah,
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: if you don't want kids, you don't want.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Kids, Yeah, I definitely.
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: I think maybe reach out to someone for help, counseling therapist, yeah,
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: like safe person. That's not us, because that's a lot.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: And I'm sure there's counselors who specialize in this, and yeah,
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: I'm sure we'll have some call in.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: But oh, I'm good luck.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: I really appreciate you opening up to us because I
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: know it's not easy and we've been going back.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: And forth, so I know it's tough, and.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think you should feel like bad for
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: speaking your feelings, and I would when you do talk
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: to someone, be really honest so they know where this
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: is coming from and go from there.
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: Yeah. Absolutely, Well, thank you guys very much for your
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: advice and help. I really really appreciate it.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: That's why I thought I saw Coolio the other day
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: in Addison on Bellline by the Chilies. It makes one
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: or two point nine Bailly the Kid, Canda Sloan pass
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: producer pooh. I know it wasn't him. He passed away. Sure,
