- 0:05Speaker 1: Senator of Blackburn joins us now Senator right on topic
- 0:09Speaker 1: here of the reality that you know, Elon Musk had
- 0:13Speaker 1: power at Twitter now X to get rid of almost
- 0:17Speaker 1: three quarters of the employees that were there, and it
- 0:21Speaker 1: was a little shocking, but you know, the company is thriving.
- 0:24Speaker 1: But he's not personally in charge of getting these things done.
- 0:29Speaker 1: You are, and Congresses, And that's why I love the
- 0:32Speaker 1: fact that you've already started up right the legislation that's
- 0:36Speaker 1: going to be needed to allow this new efficiency to
- 0:40Speaker 1: take hold.
- 0:41Speaker 2: There are people protesting, they want this guy convicted, this
- 0:45Speaker 2: guy as a hero.
- 0:47Speaker 3: The villain of.
- 0:48Speaker 2: This piece is the District Attorney of New York who
- 0:51Speaker 2: is sending a message to every train rider, don't intervene,
- 0:55Speaker 2: don't become a good Samaritan, go away, but don't help anybody.
- 1:01Speaker 2: So I think we're seeing a societal problem playing out
- 1:05Speaker 2: in both of these cases.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Yes, a gentleman, I think you're right. And part of
- 1:09Speaker 1: it drives from now half of a decade, if not
- 1:13Speaker 1: a little bit more, where there's been no repercussions, no
- 1:16Speaker 1: law enforcement, no general addressment of bad behavior, and a
- 1:22Speaker 1: reinforcement of what's right and what's wrong.
- 1:24Speaker 3: It also calls for a study and a return to
- 1:28Speaker 3: work policy to look at what has happened with this
- 1:32Speaker 3: remote working. You know, only one percent, one percent of
- 1:37Speaker 3: the federal employees work five days a week in their office.
- 1:42Speaker 3: This is an insult to hard working Tennesseeans who don't
- 1:46Speaker 3: have the choice to say I'm only going to work
- 1:49Speaker 3: one day a week. Twelve percent is the rate of
- 1:53Speaker 3: occupancy in our federal buildings.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Right now, Listen, does a soul formed in the alleyway,
- 2:01Speaker 4: and once again we will process that forensically and see
- 2:04Speaker 4: if it comes back to the shooting.
- 2:08Speaker 5: If that's not enough evidence. The shooting was also caught
- 2:10Speaker 5: on camera the United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson walking there.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Then he shot right in his left leg at first,
- 2:17Speaker 5: so he's limping, turns around, looks at the shooter, and
- 2:19Speaker 5: he shot again. The gunman was waiting for Thompson for
- 2:22Speaker 5: quite some time. Authority's also telling us the gun he used,
- 2:25Speaker 5: Tammy was not commonly found in gun stores in the
- 2:28Speaker 5: Tri state area. It was an old school type of gun,
- 2:31Speaker 5: I'm told, so look in more into that. But back
- 2:32Speaker 5: at your live One thing Authority's kept saying is sometimes
- 2:35Speaker 5: the suspects who are involved in these crimes are the
- 2:37Speaker 5: ones who watch the news coverage the closest. So if
- 2:40Speaker 5: he is watching somewhere in New York City or somewhere else,
- 2:43Speaker 5: you left your cell phone in some DNA near the scene,
- 2:45Speaker 5: Tammy alexis great job.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Couple that with the possibility of a cell phone DNA,
- 2:50Speaker 2: and I think they're going to know who it is
- 2:53Speaker 2: and then probably be able to catch.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Them, you know, especially they almost can't help themselves. Like
- 2:58Speaker 1: the words written on the castings, Greg Jarrett, that would
- 3:02Speaker 1: reflect we believe back to a book about the healthcare
- 3:05Speaker 1: industry and it's practice mini s as denying claims, and
- 3:11Speaker 1: that's where some people have gone is the notion that
- 3:14Speaker 1: something has happened to this person that tipped them over
- 3:17Speaker 1: because of a decision by a healthcare company.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Right back at your live. One thing authority has kept
- 3:24Speaker 5: saying is sometimes the suspects who were involved in these
- 3:27Speaker 5: crimes are the ones who watch the news coverage the closest.
- 3:30Speaker 5: So he's watching somewhere in New York City or somewhere else,
- 3:33Speaker 5: you left your cell phone in some DNA.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I love the true crime shows, and you see people
- 3:38Speaker 1: making mistakes all the time, but clearly he seemed to
- 3:41Speaker 1: have a mission that still could have been maybe mistaken
- 3:44Speaker 1: identity or we're going to find out, I think sooner
- 3:46Speaker 1: than later, because there's just also the facial recognition technology.
- 3:51Speaker 1: He took some care to not have his full face
- 3:54Speaker 1: shown except when he was at the hotel.
- 3:56Speaker 4: What happened in Butler, Pennsylvania a few months ago, which
- 3:59Speaker 4: almost took life of Donald Trump, is really a tragedy
- 4:02Speaker 4: on multiple levels. But it also demonstrates the lack of
- 4:05Speaker 4: focus of Frankly at Secret Service. So to have the
- 4:09Speaker 4: new director in there yelling at members of Congress because
- 4:12Speaker 4: he's getting called out or being asked tough questions is
- 4:15Speaker 4: simply irresponsible. Should never be tolerated. Cannot happen because at
- 4:19Speaker 4: the end of the day, that agency has a responsibility
- 4:22Speaker 4: to protect everybody under their purview, including the President of
- 4:25Speaker 4: the United States.
- 4:26Speaker 6: But here's reality, A lot of this can be done
- 4:30Speaker 6: just to the executive branch. I think just to the
- 4:33Speaker 6: Biden's term. The regulatory environment has grown exponentially that all
- 4:38Speaker 6: can go away. It can all go away by if
- 4:41Speaker 6: truck puts in the right people with a lot of
- 4:43Speaker 6: the fact what they're going to do. He puts in
- 4:45Speaker 6: the right people in these agencies, they can get rid
- 4:47Speaker 6: of all that regulatory environment that, in streamlining the permit
- 4:51Speaker 6: will actually do more to create jobs build our economy
- 4:54Speaker 6: than anything else we can do.
- 4:56Speaker 1: We turned to a Manhattan courthouse where the jury and
- 4:59Speaker 1: Marine veterans Daniel Penny's manslaughter trial continued to deliberate for
- 5:04Speaker 1: a third day. They have asked to hear a lot
- 5:07Speaker 1: of the evidence back again as they try to reach
- 5:10Speaker 1: a verdict and as the jury works, the father of
- 5:12Speaker 1: the man who died in this incident has filed a
- 5:15Speaker 1: civil lawsuit against Penny, alleging that his conduct led to
- 5:19Speaker 1: his son's death. Here now with more our Harvard law
- 5:23Speaker 1: professor Emeritis, Alan Dershowitz, and Fox News' legal analyst Greg Jarrett.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Professor Dershowitz, thank you very much, Greg, thank you for
- 5:31Speaker 1: being here as we head into this holiday season. What
- 5:35Speaker 1: a remarkable story, though, Professor, with what we've seen some
- 5:39Speaker 1: of the things that are already wrong, like about the bicycle,
- 5:41Speaker 1: but what seemed to be a meticulously planned situation, a
- 5:46Speaker 1: man who appears to have gotten away to a certain degree,
- 5:49Speaker 1: and yet we already have these other details to Washington, DC,
- 5:53Speaker 1: not much better, where the Task Force on the first
- 5:56Speaker 1: attempted assassination of Donald Trump held its final hearing today.
- 6:01Speaker 1: The one and only witness was the acting director of
- 6:04Speaker 1: the Secret Service, who admitted his agency made some serious
- 6:07Speaker 1: mistakes on that day and claimed that they have taken
- 6:10Speaker 1: steps to make improvements in an effort and a parent effort,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I should say, to smooth things over. The task Force
- 6:17Speaker 1: will soon be releasing a final report, which is expected
- 6:20Speaker 1: to be harshly critical. One would think here now with
- 6:23Speaker 1: more our Florida Congressman Byron Donald's and Texas Congressman Wesley Hunt.
- 6:28Speaker 6: Everything government can do with a business guy coming in
- 6:31Speaker 6: there with efficiency plans and all these things. Business guys
- 6:35Speaker 6: are going to come in and they're going to make
- 6:36Speaker 6: it better. So it's an exciting time. I'm very appreciative
- 6:39Speaker 6: of what Donald Trump did to win this race. He
- 6:42Speaker 6: won a big race and bringing in Elon and Bavac.
- 6:45Speaker 6: It's unbelievable. We're going to get to accomplished. I came
- 6:48Speaker 6: to Washington, d C. To do exactly what we're doing
- 6:50Speaker 6: right now.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Well, that has got to be exciting. But of course
- 6:53Speaker 1: you would personally know that there Ares. I just talked
- 6:56Speaker 1: with Monica intensely vested into trists in things not changing.
- 7:02Speaker 1: You know these are it's about people losing their jobs,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and it's going to be good because yes, more jobs
- 7:07Speaker 1: will be created in the private sector for them, but
- 7:10Speaker 1: this has become a way of life for generations, and
- 7:15Speaker 1: we know that it's going to be fought. You know
- 7:17Speaker 1: what I've heard a lot from people, Senator Rick Scott
- 7:21Speaker 1: that has bothered them is what, as an example, Biden
- 7:24Speaker 1: just did. It seems that he's set up some kind
- 7:27Speaker 1: of agreement or contract for people who work at home
- 7:32Speaker 1: to be able to do that for at least five
- 7:34Speaker 1: more years. Is that something that can be reversed by
- 7:39Speaker 1: by the new Senate or by Congress in general. Because
- 7:42Speaker 1: we were looking at this and trying to hamstring all
- 7:46Speaker 1: these things that the President's going to want to do.
- 7:51Speaker 6: We're going to do everything we can to fix that.
- 7:53Speaker 6: But just stop and think about this. Okay, the American public,
- 7:57Speaker 6: you go to work in a grocery store, you don't
- 7:58Speaker 6: get to do to say, oh, I don't want to
- 8:00Speaker 6: come in for five years.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Senator, We're an important and inflection point because the American
- 8:06Speaker 1: people don't trust the government. And when we say that
- 8:10Speaker 1: only one percent are working five days a week, it
- 8:13Speaker 1: seems like a scheme the mafia would set up. It
- 8:18Speaker 1: seems like this charade that has been placed in front
- 8:22Speaker 1: of the American people for the benefit of everyone except them.
- 8:27Speaker 1: That's why your bills have to get passed first in
- 8:31Speaker 1: order for us to be able to act on this.
- 8:34Speaker 1: But it seems like it's gotten to an extreme point
- 8:37Speaker 1: that you are what is your Are you confident that
- 8:40Speaker 1: this is finally going to get past?
- 8:42Speaker 3: What is your sense it? I am confident this is
- 8:45Speaker 3: going to be done because as we have worked on
- 8:49Speaker 3: this Tammy, and bear in mind every senator is involved
- 8:54Speaker 3: in this and invited to the table to work on this.
- 9:00Speaker 6: We're gonna do everything we can to fix that. But
- 9:02Speaker 6: just stop and think about this. Okay, the American public,
- 9:06Speaker 6: you go to work in a grocery store, you don't
- 9:07Speaker 6: get to do to say, oh, I don't want to
- 9:09Speaker 6: come in for five years if you're if you have
- 9:12Speaker 6: any most of the jobs outside government, you have to
- 9:14Speaker 6: be there. It's so unfair to the American public. It's
- 9:18Speaker 6: so unfair. Uh, I mean, we pay for this, we
- 9:21Speaker 6: pay taxes. It's unfair to them, So we're going to
- 9:24Speaker 6: figure out how to fix this
